Blagojevich addressed the media from the Thompson Center. Blagojevich did not take questions after the news conference, but one of his attorneys, Sam Adam Jr., issued a spirited defense of the governor.

His stand is admirable in the light that many of his former friends may harbor a secret thought about the last breath not coming soon enough, however his "I am not guilty" was a disappointment. I thought he was a honest crook.
