Huffpo column by Steven Van Zandt
Instead, they were too busy selling us the same Obama they sold us last time. You know the "transformational" guy. Well I'm sorry but that's just fraud. He never was that guy or he'd be working on a list like this:
Overturn Buckley v Valeo;
Eliminate all private money in the election process;
Ban all international military sales;
Eliminate all use of fossil fuels over the next ten years;
Ban all preservatives, steroids, chemicals, additives, pesticides in our food;
Ban sugar;
Gather Futurists to design what the country should be in 50 years and then create jobs to fit the model;
Create the national green energy grid;
Build the high speed train network;
Health insurance for everyone for free;
Moratorium on all foreclosures;
Lower personal and Corporate tax rates to 15% and institute a 10% acquisition tax on all financial services transactions, acquisitions, mergers, and stock trades to make up for it;
Eliminate all air and water pollution;
Ban plastic bottles;
Put Arts classes back into schools;
You know, stuff like that. That's transformative. What would really be transformative is idiots like you shutting the f* up and not telling the rest of us how to live. I never liked yer music either.

Logically, the next item after this should be:
* Invite three or four billion people to leave the planet.

Bullocks. BHO is transformative enough - but he's also just another lazy, effete academic commie who thought his mere presence and a bit of pixie dust is all it would take to bring about the glorious revolution. Swift and widespread violence would have been required to "transform" as BHO sought. Obviously, no one ever taught him that Stalin, Hitler, and Mao weren't lazy - and had no objection to rivers of blood.

...of course the first attempt for the lefties in the Paris Commune didn't turn out quite as they thought when a large middle class (incl petite bourgeoisie) was around. Stalin and Mao didn't have a large middle class to deal with. Hitler co-opted them.

this guy is talking so much non-sense I thought he might be actually shadow-trolling the idiot dems on huffpo...then I remembered he's hung out w/Springsteen by choice for the last 30yrs...

Good point, P2k. Obama may have set ours back significantly, but many learned a lesson, while others continue to stockpile guns & ammo. I doubt a Stalin or a Hitler or a Mao would get very far in America.
My point was merely that BHO's problem is not so much being insufficiently transformative, but being lazy, and also gutless. Thank goodness.

How many more fake lame communist Czars until our Democracy and Country become more pathetic than Russia ever was? Does anyone have a firm count on that or a computer algorithm to answer that question or our we almost there?
In the interview conducted July 11 -- about a month before Ryan was tapped as Mitt Romney's running mate -- the president also misstated the first name of the man who is now on the opposing presidential ticket.
"I'll go ahead and say it -- I think that I was not aware when I gave that speech that Jack Ryan was going to be sitting right there," the president told Woodward according to audio transcripts of their conversations, provided to ABC News.
(Jack Ryan is the name ... of the Republican who was slated to run against Obama in his 2004 Senate campaign before he withdrew in the wake of a sex scandal.) I highlighted the "sex scandal" part of the above paragraph because it is such blatantly bad reporting. The "scandal" about Jack Ryan was due to his divorce records which were illegally made public during his run against O. This report whitewashes the Obama link to that release. The fix is in for O and always has been.
Correction: Mr. Ryan's divorce records were unsealed by a judge. State law (in most states) allows court records of a divorce (upon request of the parties involved) to be sealed. However, the reasons for the request must be stated and the grounds are fairly narrow. Previously sealed records can be unsealed if a party (not necessarily the man or woman) can convince a court that unsealing the records is in the public interest.
That's just what happened: the Chicago Tribune and WLS-TV, along with some of Mr. Ryan's primary opponents, convinced a California (where the divorce had been filed) judge that the public had a right to know about the details of Jack and Jeri Ryan's divorce, and the judge so ordered.
Details are in Wikipedia. Bottom line: it wasn't illegal, it was just sleazy. While Obama benefitted, he wasn't the obvious instigator (though David Axelrod, his manager, was also a former reporter for the Tribune).

Spot, it was more than the average Illinois downstate Republican could stand.

Doc, having grown up a downstate Republican, I have to disagree. I think Ryan wanted to spare his kids and he realized the fix was in, so why fight on. (As more evidence of the fix, recall that the Ill. Trunks went out of state to get Alan Keyes - talk about too much for the average downstate Republican - who was guaranteed to lose)

I could be wrong, but I suspect most people living in the vicinity of Decatur and further south, wrote off politics above the local and county levels years ago.

..unsealing the records is in the public interest.
So why can't Anonymous, the MSM, et al get us John Kerry's military record or the One's college transcripts? Strange how it's always the records or emails of Trunks that just happen to be accessed. /sarc off

So why can't Anonymous, the MSM, et al get us John Kerry's military record or the One's college transcripts?
Because they are hidden in the same warehouse that the Ark of the Covenant and the aliens bodies from Roswell.

Asking for huge slices of the budget when the money avail and the economy are in free fall. There are some real geniuses in that union. They will destroy it. Morons.

Chicago teachers have the highest average salary of any city at $76,000 a year before benefits. The average family in the city only earns $47,000 a year. Yet the teachers rejected a 16 percent salary increase over four years at a time when most families are not getting any raises or are looking for work.
#13
The teachers are ok with the 16% (over 4 years) salary increase and other new perks, they simply don't wish to be held accountable for theirperformance the test scores of their single parent, under achieving poverty and slave descendent victimized students.

Actually in my worst childhood nightmares I never had a teacher as scary looking as that union leader.
I think I would prefer the witch from Hansel and Gretle if I was a tike. The witch would only bake you and eat you.

I had a teacher that could have been a union thug. I don't think they had teacher's unions back then. I was in the 3rd grade. Whenever she approached, I looked up and she rapped me across the knuckles with a ruler. By the end of the year, I'd break out in a cold sweat whenever she came near. I didn't learn very much that year. I also had some great teachers, none of whom were in a union.

Mayor Emanuel is taking his responsibilities seriously. According to the Chicago Tribune, he has suspended fundraising for Democratic superpacs until the strike is ended, effective today.

This is a set up for Obama. RE is a good little boy who will deliver. Politics as usual for the democrats. Look for a sweet hart Union bone deal for votes and money. Forget education, this about money and payback. No market prosecutions under Obama. The money people love him. Every scare of government action gives a boost to market deals.
#21
John OC yes. Those that didn't picket outside growled inside about how much they wanted to join in(too close to retirement). Union was a big mistake for children's education. The Chicago private schools graduate children with high school diplomas. The public schools graduate half of their students with diplomas.

How come teachers never go on strike in July? Chicago will bend over and give them everything they want even though that school system probably creates more inmates than high school graduates.
