State Department slow-walks Hillary-related FOIA requests
Posted by: ryuge || 12/11/2014 00:00 || Comments || Link || [1 views] Top|| File under:

#1  Interesting not only for the content but for the structure. Be the nation's largest news org, make a FOIA request then turn it into a major news article when the government drags it's feet.

This could be attempted in many other areas just to generate stories.

Demand a FOIA request on all the UFO's and Aliens at Area 51 then make a story about the slow or no response for example.

#2  ..and then there are the IRS emails. Patterns of behavior. Predictability.

#3  Makes one wonder: "What's to hide?" She's definitely running. Besides preparing the ground for a run by sanitizing and slow-walking records, she has had a significant physical make-over to be camera ready for a run.

#4  Did I hear right, that a movie based on Benghazi will be named Ready For Hillary! ?

Obama’s immigration taunt: Next president won’t dare reverse my executive action
"O" Almighty does not understand that, although a bell cannot be un-rung, the sound will eventually dissipate.

#2  The hell we can't.

#3  He did not issue an executive order under his signature.

He had an unsigned memo written for him sent to various departments of the Executive Branch to do it.

A memo is not a viable document. It contains no legal authority and because it was not under his signature, it can either be ignored or tossed in the trash after the first of the year.

Methinks this bogus budget agreement hammered out this week has a half life of the first time Congress convenes in January. Most of the odious stuff will be tossed in the trash when the actual authorizations are disapproved.

Congress can approve a budget which required a Presidential signature and can be vetoed. HOWEVER, the actual legislative action to FUND the various approved items in the budget does not and Congress can approve a budget item and disapprove funding it. Without Presidential approval or veto.

So while everyone says the Republicans caved to whatshisname, I am betting they just want to get to the part of the process where he can't do anything about it.

#4  I hope you're right, Mystic - I'm tired of reading on Drudge 'Repubs Cave!!!' a single freaking month after voting for them.

If they fund a dime of amnesty stuff, I'm seriously thinking of sitting out a few elections, or just say 'fuck it' and be done with voting altogether. If they don't want to conduct themselves as a serious opposition party, I'm not obliged to keep voting in vain, waiting for it to happen.

#5  Looking at the Republican line up: Jeb, Christie, Romney, Santorum - I'd say Champ is right.

Maybe this time we can ignore the FUD and go with a real conservative?

#6  The man is a damn liar. You can't believe anything he says.

#7  Got to wonder if President Biden would do it before the 2016 election to retain the office and keep his party from further damage?

#8  Top Cartel Bosses are relocating to Safe Houses in the US thanks to the hands off illegal immigration approach of the Obama regime to avoid certain death from rivals in Mexico. They are running their regimes in Mexico from the US.

ACLU chief to Obama: Pardon Bush for torture to establish he's a criminal
Champ can issue a 'pardon' but Dubya doesn't have to pay it any attention...

#1  F%^K YOU!!!!

#2  Issue whatever you want, the next President can and will cancel it, along with Obamacare.

Your "Legacy" is FAILURE.
And Lying.
Posted by: Redneck Jim || 12/11/2014 0:34 Comments || Top||

#3  Rantburg to Obama. Send ACLU's chief to Leavenworth and throw the key.
Posted by: JFM || 12/11/2014 6:33 Comments || Top||

#4  The next prez can ask his IRS commissioner to suspend the ACLU's non-profit status and force them to show cause too. It's a political organization masking as 'rights' defender (unless, of course, you're talking 2d Amendment thingys).
Posted by: Procopius2k || 12/11/2014 7:43 Comments || Top||

#5  Hell, the ACLU was founded by commies. Just finally get around to declaring them an enemy organization and jailing them.
Posted by: 3dc || 12/11/2014 7:57 Comments || Top||

#6  While obama is at it he can pardon Jefferson for having slaves and jimmy carter for marrying a 16 year old.

Did anyone in the media think to ask obama how much due process Alwakie received and how much actionable intelligence was gathered in his drone struck?
Posted by: Airandee || 12/11/2014 8:07 Comments || Top||

#7  Threaten them with the impeachment of Obama.
Posted by: JohnQC || 12/11/2014 10:44 Comments || Top||

#8  Pardon Bush for torture to establish he's a criminal

And in return, Jeb Bush can pardon Obama for exceeding the authority outlined for him in the Constitution.
Posted by: gorb || 12/11/2014 13:55 Comments || Top||

#9  I think anything that would show Bush was a criminal would also implicate Obama.
Posted by: rjschwarz || 12/11/2014 14:21 Comments || Top||

#10  And Clinton.

#11  Pardon Anthony Romero for being a pedophile. Then make him prove he isn't.

#1  I really don't know whether to laugh or walk away in disgust.

#2  One can do both...
