Achin district governor, Haji Ghalib, told TOLOnews on Thursday that the newly-emerged murderous Moslem group has also been running private prisons in Achin - where Hafiz Saeed , the group's chief for the region was killed along with his senior commanders this year in July.
The group -- which originated in Iraq and Syria -- has also taken nearly 150 people hostage recently, including holy mans, tribal elders and government officials, he added.
"I have a list which shows that Daesh has killed more than 600 civilians," Ghalib said, noting that the holy warriors forcibly marry maidens of tender years in the district.
He added that Daesh centers and prisons were located in the insecure areas bordering Pakistain.
"They [Daesh] are running three prisons in Tirah [border with Pakistain]," Ghalib said. "They are taking hostage tribal elders, religious scholars and a number of police and army members."
Achin has been considered the main stronghold of Daesh. This year on July 11, Afghan intelligence sources reported that Saeed - who was a former leader of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) before pledging allegiance to Daesh - was killed along with 30 others in an air strike in Achin district.
Footage recently received by TOLOnews illustrated that holy warriors claiming to be Daesh affiliates torched a number of homes in Pachir Agam district in Nangarhar.

[Khaama (Afghanistan)] Taliban have killed a former policeman who had recently separated ways with security forces and joined the Lion of Islam group in Maidan Wardak province.
A statement issued by the media office of Maidan Wardak province on Thursday states that the policeman had escaped with a Kalashnikov to the Doctor Mirwais group of Taliban.
According to the statement, Hikmatullah was killed by the same group of Taliban in Hakimkhil area of Sayed Abad District last night.
The statement further states that a Taliban capo was killed and two others maimed in a festivities with Kochis 'nomads' in Dar Koh Madu area of Chak last night.
Kochi's did not suffer casualties in the fight but Taliban took their domestic animals with them after the clash, the statement adds.
Security forces have launched an operation in the area to bring back the domestic animals to Kochi's from Taliban. Domestic animals are the only way of income for Kochis.

[Libya Herald] It has only just emerged that six North Koreans working in Libya were detained on their way to Tunisia this May and accused of smuggling.
A source has told the Libya Herald that the men, all thought to be doctors or medical technicians, were allegedly found with currency and gold. They were leaving the country after working here for several years.
It is being claimed that North Korean diplomats knew about the items the men were carriying. No other details of the arrests or subsequent fate of the men are yet clear.

Doctors and medical technicians, from DPRK, paid in gold. Were they leaving a bio facility in Libya?
[Libya Herald] Four children, all under 10 years of age, were killed and two others injured yesterday when a mine went kaboom! at their school in Bengahzi's Benina district.
The children were tidying up the primary school ahead of the new school year. It is not known why the mine was at the school or who left it there.
Two of the children were killed instantly by the blast. The other two died later in hospital. Of the injured, one has been transferred to Marj Hospital, the other is in Jalaa Hospital

The raid late on Wednesday targeted a 4x4 transporting the four suspects near Mukalla, capital of Hadramawt province, with a missile leaving the vehicle charred, the official said.

[ALMANAR.LB] A Saudi border guard was rubbed out Thursday when his post came under fire from Yemen, where a Saudi-led coalition has been launching a brutal war.
The post in the Jazan district "was subject to heavy fire from a mountainous area in Yemen," said a ministry statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency.
The guard died before reaching hospital. His comrades and troops returned fire, the Saudi agency added.
The guard's death brings to at least 60 the number of Saudi soldiers killed in shelling and skirmishes along the border with Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of. Except for a tiny handfull of Jews everthing there is very Islamic... since the coalition war began on March 26 against the Arab impoverished country.

[DAWN] Bangladesh's elite security force on Thursday enjugged Drop the heater, Studs, or you're hist'try! the head of a banned hardline Islamist group over the murders of two atheist bloggers that has sparked an international outcry.
The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Mohammad Abul Bashar, head of an Islamic group called Ansarullah Bangla Team (ABT) which was banned in May over a series of blogger killings.
Two other members of the ABT were also arrested in Dhaka, Mufti Mahmud Khan, a front man for the RAB, which is tasked with tackling militancy in the Moslem majority nation, told AFP.
"All three are the suspects in the murders of bloggers Avijit Roy and Ananta Bijoy Das," Khan said, referring to the writers who were killed earlier this year.
Four secular bloggers have been hacked to death in Bangladesh since the start of the year, including Roy and Das, sparking international condemnation and protests mainly by secular activists in the capital.
Bashar, 43, is the most high profile person to have been arrested in connection with the blogger murders this year and the move came after a series of arrests of suspected Islamist Lions of Islam in the past few weeks.
"We arrested them in the capital's Fakirerpool neighbourhood this morning. They were planning to flee the country," RAB Major Kamran Kabir told AFP.
"Among those we've arrested in connection with the blogger murders in recent weeks, Bashar is the biggest fish," Kabir said.
Khan said Bashar took over leadership of the ABT after his older brother, the group's founder and spiritual leader, was arrested in 2013 over the murder of another blogger, Ahmed Rajib Haider.
The leader, Jashim Uddin Rahmani, ordered the murders of the bloggers from his jail cell this year, a message that Bashar took to their followers, the RAB has said previously.
The RAB hailed the arrest of Bashar as a "major success" in the force's efforts to hunt down the blogger killers.
'Killing mission'
The two others arrested on Thursday, Julhas Biswas and Jafran al Hasan, "took part in the killing mission" of the two bloggers and tweeted admitting the group's role in the murders on the internet, the RAB has said previously.
"These two are members of the media branch of the ABT," Khan said Thursday, referring to the group's PR team.
Roy, a US citizen who was born in Bangladesh, was murdered in February by a gang wielding machetes in Dhaka. Das, 33, was killed in a similar fashion as he went to work at a bank in the northeastern city of Sylhet on May 13.

She has once before held the office, from 1996 to 2001, when she was defeated in a landslide. She and the head of the BNP, Khaleda Zia show such blind animosity toward each other that they are known as the Battling Begums.. 's secular government has vowed to hunt down the killers, following international outrage and accusations it failed to stop the attacks, wary of a political backlash from Islamists.
Police have stepped up security for those being threatened and thought to be on the hit-list drawn up by a hardline Islamist group.
Last week five ABT Lions of Islam were charged over the murder of atheist blogger Washiqur Rahman, who was killed in March.
Islamists have long clashed with young secular activists whom they consider infidels for criticising Islam on social media, some of them under pen names.
But the gruesome killings have shaken many in Bangladesh which prides itself on being a mainly moderate Moslem country.
The impoverished and officially secular nation of 160 million has largely rejected Islamic extremism since gaining independence from Pakistain in 1971.
At least 12 atheist bloggers have fled the country in the wake of the murders and 70 bloggers have asked for assistance for migration as their lives are at stake, according to Berlin-based atheist blogger Asif Mohiuddin.

[Rudaw] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire.... 's interior minister said Thursday that a pro-Kurdish delegation was banned from entering the tense Cizre district in southeastern Sirnak province which has been under curfew for a week, amid a deadly military operation against Kurdish rebels.
A delegation led by the co-leaders of the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Selahattin Demirtas and Figen Yuksekdag, and including two ministers from the party and dozens of politicians, was stopped from entering Cizre on Thursday.
The state-run Anadolu Agency reported that the team was halted 28 kilometers from the Kurdish district. They had set out on foot after their convoy was stopped the day before.
"Because we think it might lead to different provocative incidents, it is out of the question for them to arrive at Cizre for their own safety," Turkish Interior Minister Selami Altinok was quoted as saying by AA. "We will not let them," he warned.
"Turkish security forces are conducting an anti-terror operation around the town to counter PKK attacks that were stepped up at the end of July," AA said.
The government declared a curfew in Cizre, which lies close to the Syrian and Iraqi borders, last Friday.
Altinok said the curfew would be lifted as soon as the security operation is finished and Cizre has returned to normal. He did not way when that would be.
The minister claimed that 800 kilograms of explosives had been recovered during the operation and that seven PKK members and a civilian were killed and 10 rebels placed in durance vile You have the right to remain silent... , AA reported.
"The ammunition seized in the operation in Cizre proves once again how the operations are just and right," Altinok said.
Also Thursday, the Turkish Army opened fire on truck drivers protesting the closure of the Ibrahim Khalil border crossing between Turkey and the Kurdistan region, used to cross into Cizre. Five of the demonstrators were maimed in the shooting, a Rudaw news hound said.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shouting match, the spittle had reached unprecedented levels... Turkey's Today's Zaman daily reported that residents coping with dire conditions in the closed-off district.
"Residents are living in dire conditions due to the constant gunfire and kabooms that have destroyed many homes in the tense district of Cizre," the newspaper said on its website.
"According to media reports, heavy weapons are being used in the ongoing fighting between security forces and PKK Death Eaters in Cizre, where many homes have been destroyed due to kabooms. The number of casualties has been increasing day by day," it added.
Turkey and the PKK have been locked in a three-decade conflict in which some 40,000 people have been killed. The conflict re-ignited in late July, after the PKK grabbed credit for the killings of two Turkish coppers.
The resumption of hostilities ended a grinding of the peace processor between PKK and Ankara in 2013.
Since the resumption of hostilities, more than 100 members of the security forces and hundreds of PKK Death Eaters have been killed in operations across Turkey and northern Iraq, including Arclight airstrikes, according to AA.
[Montreal Gazette] The Montreal teenager currently on trial for preparing to leave Canada to take part in terrorist activity abroad communicated with Martin Couture-Rouleau dozens of times before the latter killed a Canadian soldier last year.
The now 16-year-old eventually admitted he had frequent exchanges with Couture-Rouleau during a nearly three-hour interrogation on Oct. 20. He was questioned just hours after Couture-Rouleau used his car to run over two Canadian soldiers in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
Investigators learned that Couture-Rouleau had a cell phone. They then learned that the youth, who had been arrested on Oct. 17 in connection with an armed robbery, had the number for that same cell phone written down on a slip of paper found in a pair of his pants. The national security team was at the time investigating whether the youth held up the convenience store with a knife, to buy a plane ticket, possibly to fly to Syria and join Daesh.
The youth revealed that his last exchange, through Twitter, was on Oct. 15, five days before Vincent was killed and just two days before the boy was arrested for the armed robbery at the dépanneur. The boy was considering robbing another convenience store and asked Couture-Rouleau if he could borrow $50 to buy another knife so he could rob again. His father had discovered the knife and mask he used and took the items away from him.
Youth Court Judge Dominique Wilhelmy is expected to decide on Friday whether the interrogation can be allowed into evidence in the trial.
[Express] A man faces up to 20 years in jail after allegedly helping to plan a bomb attack on a memorial to the September 11 attacks. Joshua Ryne Goldberg was arrested and charged with distributing information relating to explosives, destructive devices and weapons of mass destruction.
Goldberg, who began talking online with an FBI informer in July, and reportedly gave them information on how to build a bomb with a pressure cooker, nails and rat poison. He also told the informer to place the bomb at an event commemorating the 14th anniversary of 9/11 in Kansas City, Missouri today.
In a message sent on August 27, he reportedly wrote, "Put the backpack near the crowd. But make sure it's in a place where the [police] won't think anything of it."
Court documents allege he was traced after tweets about a Daesh-inspired shooting in Texas in May earlier this year. Two armed men were gunned down after opening fire at a controversial event which featured cartoon depictions of Mohammed. He tweeted, "I have a vast network of mujahideen around the world, and will continue to inspire and coordinate jihad attacks around the world."

The FBI arrested a 20-year-old American Jewish man for posing as an Islamic State extremist, calling for terrorist attacks, claiming to be planning attacks in Australia and the United States, and providing information on bomb construction to a second party. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the same man, who it named as Florida resident Joshua Ryne Goldberg, also posed as a respected Australian lawyer in April to maliciously post a racist blog post on The Times of Israel.
Goldberg claimed, however, that he did not intend for an attack to take place. He said he wanted to inform police of the plan ahead of time in order to get credit for stopping an attack. He also said he thought the bomb-maker may kill himself in the process and at another point claimed that he did not expect anyone to actually build the bomb as âthese guys are pussy keyboard warriors.â
Just like one of those firebugs who crave hero status for calling the fire department to put out the fires they start. A good thing they caught him in the early stages.

[DAWN] Four suspected bad boyz were potted in an encounter with Sindh Rangers in Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... 's Sohrab Goth area on Thursday, said a statement issued by the paramilitary force.
According to the details shared by Rangers spokesperson, an operation was carried out on receiving a tip off about the presence of alleged hit mans of lawyer Husnain Bukhari, who was bumped off on March 4 this year.
Soon as the Rangers reached the area, the suspected Death Eaters opened indiscriminate fire on them after which an exchange of fire took place. One Rangers personnel sustained injuries while four miscreants were killed during the encounter, read the statement.
The director general of Rangers has already said that the paramilitary force would take steps to provide protection to lawyers and bring the perpetrators to justice.

[IraqiNews] Baghdad -- A source in the Iraqi police announced, that seven people, including three soldiers, had been killed and maimed in the kaboom of two bombs west of the capital Baghdad.
The source said in an interview for IraqiNews.com, "An bomb was placed on a side of a street in Zaidan area in Abu Ghraib district west of Baghdad went kaboom! at noon, killing two civilians and wounding two others."
In a related context, the source, who asked anonymity, added that "another bomb went kaboom! at noon today in Zaidan area as well, targeted a military vehicle, resulting in the injury of three soldiers."

ISIS had used the stadium as base of operations to control Ramadi and nearby areas and to funnel supplies down the Euphrates River valley, the statement added.
"Destroying this facility enables Iraqi security forces to be active in and around Ramadi while degrading [ISIS] command and control capability throughout the area," Colonel Michael Indovina, coalition front man, said.

[Inquirer] Five people, including a village chief and a councilman, were injured when members of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front attacked a village in Lutayan, Sultan Kudarat province.
The militants fled when Philippine troops and the police arrived, said Lutayan Vice Mayor Ibrahim Macasayon. He said, "Normalcy has been restored," citing the intervention of the military and the International Monitoring Team for the government-MILF peace process.
Macasayon said fighting broke out when MILF militants from the 109th Base Command led by Commander Tige Guiamandin attacked the village administration building at dawn on Wednesday. Villagers led by village chief Falcon Bansil returned fire and engaged the rebels in an hour-long clash until security forces arrived, forcing the militants to retreat.
Reports say the attack was due to a land dispute and territorial conflict. Local farmers reportedly had refused to give money to the militants.

[AnNahar] Militants led by Al-Nusra Front in Syria killed at least 56 soldiers, some execution-style, when they overran the regime's last base in Idlib province under the cover of a sandstorm, a monitor said Thursday.
Dozens of others were either taken prisoner or went missing when the Al-Nusra Front and a coalition of mostly Islamist groups captured the Abu Duhur military airport on Wednesday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
"There were at least 56 (soldiers) killed yesterday and at least 40 taken prisoner, and dozens more are missing," the Observatory's Rami Abdel Rahman told Agence La Belle France Presse.
"Some soldiers were executed," said the head of the Britannia-based group that relies on a network of sources on the ground in Syria for its information.
Al-Nusra Front posted pictures on Twitter of about 15 men it said were Syrian soldiers now "in the hands of the mujahedeen".
Rebels also uploaded images of helicopters and planes abandoned on the tarmac, with holy warriors posing seated on one of the aircraft making V-for-victory signs.
The fate of other missing soldiers remained unclear, said Abdel Rahman, who added that the entire northwestern province of Idlib was under the control of Al-Nusra Front and other rebel groups.
The Lions of Islam had taken advantage of an intense sandstorm that blanketed much of the Middle East on Tuesday evening to seize the airbase, the Observatory said.
Apparently the sandstorm is predicted to last through the weekend, giving scope for more such attacks by the boldest, but most throughout the region will huddle under cover until it passes.

Islamic State used at least two boom-mobiles in its latest attack on the air base near the city of Deir Ezzor, where regime troops are holed up, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
According to the group that tracks war in Syria at least 18 soldiers and 36 Islamic State fighters had been killed. The base is one of Bashir al-Assad's last footholds in eastern Syria. There was no mention of the attack on state media.
ISIS news feeds said the hardline group has captured an artillery battalion near the city's military airport.
Saray Ed-Din al-Deiri, local media activist, told Zaman al-Wasl that regime army has targeted ISIS fighters with toxic gas bombs, many of suffocation cases reported by medics of the next door city of al-Mayadeen.

Deir Ezzor province borders territories in Iraq that are also controlled by Islamic State, and its oilfields are a major source of revenue for the group.

The shooting occurred in the Reyhanli district of Turkey's Hatay province. Dogan gave no further details and the shooting could not immediately be confirmed, according to Rooters.

In response, Turkish authorities have closed Bab al-Hawa border crossing with Syria.
Late last month, Islamic State released a video accusing Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan of "treachery", and urged Turks to rise up against him.

The bully boy group, which has captured territory across Iraq and Syria, seized control late on Sept.9 of an army post near the regime-held military airbase outside Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.
"It was one of the Islamic State's [ISIL] fiercest attacks on the airport," Observatory director Rami Abdel Rahman said.
He said 36 IS fighters and 18 regime soldiers were killed.
The seizure of the army post, used by a rocket battalion, advanced ISIL to barely one kilometre (less than one mile) from the airport.
Abdel Rahman said the jihadists had used two jacket wallahs in the assault, one of them a child, driving cars laden with explosives.
More than 50 jihadists were maimed in the fighting, he added.
ISIL already controls most of oil-rich Deir Ezzor province including about half of its capital, and has fought for more than a year to capture the airport and the rest of the city.
Deir Ezzor would be the second scenic provincial capital to fall to the group after the northern city of Raqa, which it named the capital of its self-declared "caliphate".
The assault came as rival jihadists of Al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate and their allies seized the last regime-held military base in Idlib province of northwest Syria.
According to the Observatory, the regime is now left with just three airbases in the east and north of the country -- Deir Ezzor, and Neirab and Kweyris in Aleppo province.

A military source told SANA news agency that a unit of the army bombarded a den of ISIL with their vehicles in the surroundings of Tal Sa'ad in the northeastern countryside of the province.

The national military also established full control over oil and gas fields in the area of Jazal in Homs eastern countryside, after it inflicted gangs heavy losses.
Also on Wednesday a unit of the Army and Armed Forces, in cooperation with popular defense groups, thwarted an attempt by a group of ISIS murderous Moslems to infiltrate from the direction of Sa'ad hill and Kherbet Sa'ad towards the surroundings of al-Boutheina field and hill, 35 kilometers to the northeast of Sweida city.

[ALMANAR.LB] Hezbollah and the Syrian army foiled on Thursday an attack by the bandidosbully boyz on the city of Zabadani, sources told al-Manar.
Field sources in the city said that the bandidosbully boyz launched an attack on the allied forces in castles of al-Alali and Moza in northwestern Zabadani.
Hezbollah and the Syrian army thwarted the attack, killing and injuring 30 of terrorists, sources told al-Manar.
The allied forces have been since July 4 engaged in the battle of Zabadani, the last city under the control of bandidosbully boyz in the Qalamoun region on the Lebanese border.
The ongoing battle is part of a wider operation launched by the Syrian forces and the resistance movement's fighters on May 4, which has reportedly driven hard boyz out of more than 90 percent of the territory in the mountainous region.
