House Armed Services Committee: Obama Violated Federal Law with Bergdahl Exchange

#1  Only one of hundreds Obumble has violated. Laws are for the little people, not the elite.

#2  He is so far above and beyond our mere laws, we can only grovel in the mud before his august countenance.
Posted by: Anguper Hupomosing9418 || 12/10/2015 11:34 Comments || Top||

#3  And he's not impeached yet, I'm ashamed of the Republicans, They don't follow their pledges.

#4  And it's been reported that 3 out of the 5 released by Barack Obama in this exchange are now ISIS leaders.

What's that about aiding and abedding the enemy?

#5  Does anybody think Champ cares about what they think or America as it was? He's black and knows, knows, that they dare not impeach him, regardless of actions for fear of losing their own power. SO he feels invulnerable, and imperial, and will reveal the real man increasingly as the end of his administration comes. Legal scholars better research what limits can be placed on blanket amnesty actions, because they are coming.....

#6  In my old FBI, a person who did what Obama did, he'd be the subject of a Material Support to Terrorism case.

Kerry: 'Our Coal-Fired Power Plants Have to Begin to Phase Out'
[CNSNEWS] Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, and current Secretary of State...
told a Gay Paree audience that "our coal-fired power plants have to begin to phase out."

At an event hosted by the tech site Mashable along with the U.N. Foundation on Monday, Kerry said: "President B.O. has put in place one of the most ambitious national climate action plans in the world. We've doubled our car efficiency and truck--We're requiring our coal-fired power plants have to begin to phase out."

Kerry made the statements while discussing the impact the private sector and the marketplace will have on carbon emissions.

"It's the private sector, the next Elon Musk or Steve Jobs is going to find a way to do battery storage for alternative and renewable energy, or we're going to find a way to burn energy, or maybe this dream of fusion is going to be accelerated and actually have a commercial viability," Kerry said.

"I don't know the answer, but I have absolute confidence in the ability of capital to move where the signal of the marketplace says 'go' after Gay Paree.
"Signal of the market place"? That's a little market for you, isn't it Jahwn? Your minders will not approve, and ValJar will slap you around when you get home. Not to mention Tay-rasa...

#1  .or we're going to find a way to burn energy,.....

Now this is a bit of genius.

Historically, we have burned fuel to make energy. But what if we could burn energy directly? Take that, Thermodynamics!

#2  Massive good paying job losses. Tax revenues gone in the millions. "It's the private sector, the next Elon Musk or Steve Jobs is going to find a way to do battery storage for alternative and renewable energy, or we're going to find a way to burn energy, or maybe this dream of fusion is going to be accelerated and actually have a commercial viability," Kerry said. Not with government controls as they are now. Make a wish.

#4  Shouldn't he confine his pontificating to State Department stuff? What about Syria, Jahwn? Ukraine? Russian expansionism? Iran and the Bomb? Venez .. you know.
Posted by: Bobby || 12/10/2015 9:51 Comments || Top||

#5  It is a bad idea to phase out coal-fired power plants but then Kerry and Obammer have a lot of bad ideas. Where they going to get the replacement power from the shut down plants? Solar? Not likely. Water? I don't see any call for new dams to be built due to the environmentalists. Wind? That's not going so well and it's good only when there is a wind available. Nuclear? Many are more opposed to nuclear more than they are coal? Jeebus, I'll be glad when these two fade off the national scene. They are an embarrassment and dangerous to boot.

#6  And they will be replaced with power plants that run on happy thoughts and dreams!

#7  Our new power plants will be fueled by outrage.

#9  Kerry doesn't need to be right, he's just noisy.
Posted by: Redneck Jim || 12/10/2015 12:15 Comments || Top||

#10  If they were serious they'd have been building nuclear plants for 7 years now and they'd start coming on line about now. That would have been a legacy worth the history books. Cut oil out of the economy entirely and leave Saudi Arabia pounding sand.

#11  Nuclear power requires fuel too, and that supply has its limits too. For the past couple of decades it's been supplemented by 'burning' US & USSR bomb material. Long-term, we would need to move to breeder reactors - either converting U238 or Th232.

#12  Meanwhile China builds its industrial base and we turn our economy to basket weaving.

#13  "Kerry: 'Our Coal-Fired Power Plants Most Reliable and Inexpensive-to-Operate Power Plants Have to Begin to Phase Out' (My wife is rich, so we'll be warm, and I don't care if you plebes freeze.)"

FTFY

#14  Meanwhile, China is building 155 new coal-fired power plants on its standard design. Kinda negates everything, especially when they will be run approx 50% capacity. How does that factor in your global-warming equation, Jawn?

HERE are some cost breakdowns on nuclear vs coal fired power plants.

HERE is a site discussing nuclear power versus other sources such as oil, natural gas, and coal.

The problem with O&Co's unicorn fart approach to energy is that we don't have a transition to get out of coal. The near term solution would be to convert to natural gas from coal. I do not know the logistics of this and where we are. You have a bunch of people at the top that have NO background in physics and engineering making decisions that have serious consequences to the US economy and security. This is like TD Lysenko under Stalin in the USSR.

#15  Probably thinks you can import electricity from China---just like everything else.
Posted by: g(r)omgoru || 12/10/2015 15:01 Comments || Top||

#16  Well, grom, we import just about everything else from China...
Posted by: Ebbang Uluque6305 || 12/10/2015 16:26 Comments || Top||

#17  About 3 years ago the coal fired plant near m E converted to natural gas. It's better than coal and at today's prices is cheaper.
Posted by: Deacon Blues || 12/10/2015 17:11 Comments || Top||

#18  Oil tankers are being built now for shipping with natural gas power. Massive upgrade for future cost savings.
