No wonder all the hackers got into the democratic national committee computers. They display a level of incompetence that goes WAY beyond the Peter Principle.

Dunning Kruger programmers say YES! then think if they can do it.
Proper programmers say OH NO! then think HOW it should be done.

only 25% reportedly, and they refused DHS's offer to vet the app before the caucus. Kinda like the DNC not allowing the FBI to check their "hacked" servers

"So he dropped his cell phone in the toilet, then shat on it, flushed it, and then screamed "conspiracy !"
[WXYZ - ABC Detroit] President Donald Trump has been acquitted on both articles of impeachment on Wednesday by the United States Senate, the first article by a mostly party-line vote of 48-52 in favor of conviction. The vote on the second article of impeachment ended with 47 Democrats voting guilty, while all 53 Republicans voted not guilty.
A two-thirds vote is required to remove a president from office.
Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah was the lone Republican joining all 47 Democrats in voting in favor of removing Trump from office on the first article of impeachment. Romney, the Republican Party's 2012 standard-bearer, became the first senator in U.S. history to vote to remove a president from the same party.
"I will tell my children and their children that I did my duty to the best of my ability, believing that my country expected it of me," Romney said. "I will only be one name among many, no more or less, to future generations of Americans who look at the record of this trial."
It was not known until late on Wednesday how Romney and some Democrats from states that voted for Trump in 2016 would vote. West Virginia's Joe Manchin and Arizona's Kyrsten Sinema both announced they would vote in favor of conviction moments before Wednesday's vote.
The first article was for abuse of power, and accused Trump of, "Using the powers of his high office, President Trump solicited the interference of a foreign government, Ukraine, in the 2020 United States Presidential election."
The second article is for obstruction of Congress, as House Democrats accused Trump of blocking witnesses and evidence from the White House as part of the House's impeachment inquiry.
In December, Trump became the third sitting US president to be impeached by the House, following Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton. Both Johnson and Clinton were also acquitted. Johnson avoided being removed from office by a single vote.

Frank G, no surprise really. The Dems would have had to turn 20 or so Republican Senators in order to actually convict Trump.
Any witnesses would have just prolonged the agony.

18 US 2071 code. Could someone read that to see what happens to a person who mutilates a document entered into the Congressional Record such as the SOTU Speach?

#15 They can start by looking at the actual record of the candidates, instead of turning off their brains and simply voting for the pleasant-mannered co-religionist.
Top Romney Adviser Worked With Hunter Biden On Board Of Ukrainian Energy Company
Burisma Group, an independent oil and gas company with operations in Ukraine, announced that Joseph Cofer Black will join the company’s board of directors. Joseph Cofer Black’s past experience includes: Director of CIA’s Counterterrorism Center between 1999 and 2002, and Ambassador at Large for Counter-Terrorism between 2002 and 2004. With such a strong background, Mr. Black will be leading the company’s security and strategic development efforts.

House should have called more witnesses if they felt they were required. They didn't because the whole thing was a joke. Romney is a joke. I'm amazed he ever won the primaries.

Most liberals call racism at every opportunity and see racism everywhere and then casually wear blackface and use the N-word. I suspect most of them only go along with the pronouns because they expect more people care than actually do.
US President Donald Trump, emerging from the shadow of impeachment, faces Democratic lawmakers who seek to toss him from office at a State of the Union speech he uses to belittle his opponents and tout the US economy.https://t.co/thy8SuZVtE

Masterful. A triumph. Best SOTU in decades.
Probably because the simple avalanche of FACTUAL, unbelievably strong economic news is the best we've seen in decades.
If Trump can get anywhere close to the % of African-Americans who now approve of him -- IIUC it's now well north of 30%, maybe even 40% -- or if he gets even HALF of that total, say 15-17% of the A-A vote in November, it will be a wipeout.
#2
Kind of kept a lot of his promises. Hamstrung by courts on some and by Congress on others. Can't think of any significant ones he didn't at least make a legitimate attempt at keeping. Orders of magnitude better than most holders of that office.

Lots of Democrats didn't show up at all.
State of the Union is a trap, forces you to either clap with the president or sit on your hands when he talks about a 100 year old Tuskeegee Airman, or improved jobs for blacks. Apparently two of the smarter Dems sat besides the GOP so they could clap without it standing out amongst their peers.
#6
I do wish he's have had a fiscally responsible section of his State of the Union, but perhaps that's for the next term when he hopefully has more of his own in Congress.
A small-minded tasteless act. Scornful and hateful, devoid of any modicum of dignity. It served no useful purpose whatsoever other than to further confirm her character.

President Trump's speech was directly addressed to the American people, to whom he serves. He systematically took every issue and made it the people's concern and left the dems high and dry. Sure it was often theatrical---Trump is a showman---but it was sincere. He was celebrating the many good things of this country. Meanwhile, Pelosi was tearing up the speech---on national TV. It was icing on the cake. The final act of self destruction of the dems.
Trump played it right. He spoke to the American people, and one cannot but be proud of our commander in chief. Well done.

Symbolically doing what she's been doing to the intent of the Founders and the Constitution.

The White House was quick to pounce on the moment, tweeting, "Speaker Pelosi just ripped up: One of our last surviving Tuskegee Airmen. The survival of a child born at 21 weeks. The mourning families of Rocky Jones and Kayla Mueller. A service member's reunion with his family. That's her legacy."

When it came to clapping or standing, the Donk side of the aisle had no logic except the minimum required for self preservation. Even then, it was spotty. Nancy was reading the speech, probably trying to decide what was a trap before cueing the test to or not, kind of reminiscent of the Norks taking cues from Kim Jong Un as to how to behave. I believe the refused to acknowledge the kid who wanted to join the space force, then clapped for his grandfather, the Tuskegee Airman. They refused to clap for what three years ago would have been a traditional Donk cause. They were behaving like protesters at times, and Nancy had to gesture to shut them down at one point, before ripping up Trump's speech and the lives it contained a few minutes later.
I can't imagine your average Dem being proud of any of this. It's going to be a bloodbath come November.
#21
And as for Trump not shaking her hand, I would have done the same. Traditionally, Nancy should have introduced the president by saying it was a high honor to introduce the president of the US. This time she just introduced him as the president of the US. FU too, Nancy. We saw what you did.

"It could've been worse. Say, crocheting,
Or shooting some selfies, or braying,
But, All Things Considered,
I think, though embittered,
Pelosi was probably praying."

And as for Trump not shaking her hand, I would have done the same.
Damn straight. Remember that both times Speaker Pelosi visited the Trump White House, she stormed out both times. I wouldn't give this broad the time of day.

This Shitshow Ringmaster is too stupid, or addled with Botox, to grasp the significance of what Trump is doing.
He's starting to bring African-American voters home to his party.
He's breaking the four decades-long stranglehold of the Democrats upon one segment of of the US population. Without this stranglehold, the Dems will be finished.
Note the use of "will be," not "would be": this is not a hypothetical but an emergent reality. Under Trump, this nation's economy is finally helping young black men, including uneducated and semi-skilled men like the formerly homeless vet he saluted last night.
Which means that Trump is very likely to win more than 20% of the votes of African-American men this November, and with those votes he will win Michigan, Pennsylvania, Florida and Wisconsin.
#37
Nobody gives a fook about Cruella DeBotox and her pathetic senior moment.
3% unemployment is all that matters.
Millions of African-American men have real jobs, real hope, and a real shot at supporting a family and attaining dignity as self-standing, proud men.
Like the proud and noble men, of four generations, whom Trump saluted and whom our nation applauded last night. Those images have been imprinted in the nation's consciousness.
No one will allow this image of a Botox-poisoned madwoman to displace the heroic and inspiring images we saw last night of American heroes -- every one of them a common man, not wealthy or smug or powerful but courageous and humble and devoted to others.
F you, Cruella. Go back to Kakistan.
Go back to shilling for campaign cash from your shitty smug self-regarding billionaires. This nation is better off without you and your antics.

She was all but foaming at the mouth during the entire speech. It was distracting and disturbing to watch. She really has lost her marbles, needs to be sedated and placed in a padded cell. This is not the behavior of a sane person.

She's a democrat. From California. From San Francisco in California.

#17 That would also make a great campaign commercial: Each point, followed by video of it being torn up with the voiceover "and the democrat response". Lather, rinse, repeat.
End with : Vote Trump, don't tear up America's future.

Zman has a good take. On the one hand, pelousy's act came off as a scripted thing that was probably planned, maybe even focus group tested, in advance. On the other hand, she probably couldn't remember a rehearsed action in the first place.
One thing is sure. The drooler wing of the dem (total Venn diagram overlap) party ate it up. Which means everyone else should be optimistic yet wary long-term.

As the spoiled wild daughter of the shyster Dem mayor of Baltimore. As a young woman a Miss Lube Rack of Baltimore and arm candy for the like of Jack Kennedy (before he was married)... she's lucky a Gavin Friday tune is not seen by the nation as her theme song.

#39 foaming at the mouth ... needs to be sedated.
What Abu said. She's mad. She's on some kind of drug or cocktail thereof.
The big story here is the one that will govern the 2920 elections: finally, a modern GOP president is making a serious play to break the other party's stranglehold on the African-American vote.
When that happens, the Dems will be finished as a national party.
Everyone except Mad Hatters and media maroons can see this watershed event coming. Crystal clear from last night:
Tuskegee Airman hero.
Afr-Amer mom and her child finally able to break free of shitty Government Schools.
Down on his luck Afr-Amer. homeless vet, back on his feet thanks to the Blue Collar Boom that only Trump knows how to deliver.
Game over. A new America's taking shape, and you stupid Shitshow Clowns are terrified of it. Your time is over, butcher.

Trump has been handed poison pill fiscal legislation his whole term. By both Dems and Pubs. He has been forced to sign to get essential things funded. The trajectory fiscally is a disaster. This is the real Gordon’s knot.

Pelosi cares little about whether Americans are doing well. She holds none of the values that most Americans cherish. She reeks with arrogance, ego and disdain for Americans as did Hillary. And they wonder why they keep losing as this hatred gets revealed more and more. Pelosi has no class. She is petty and small-minded. She cares not about America but only about power and party.

Another thing I noticed about her behavior was that she was constantly reaching for her gavel every little bit. She had to refrain from picking it up, sometimes even folding her hands. She must really be in love with that thing.

There I was, thinking (like most of you, probably), "Oof, some people just don't get telephoto lenses." And now this. Fun fun fun. Although... can't help thinking that a lot of the ostentatious, overacted misbehavior we're seeing on the left would almost make sense if... but let's not go there. I can't get through a Super Bowl without seeing three or four staged bits, and we all know that that never happens.
Incumbents with a roaring economy - and it has NEVER been this strong, and never in the last 60 years has the prosperity been so broad-based -- are easy favorites.
Cruella DeBotox's stupid little stunt screams DESPERATION.
She and her colleagues know that their Shitshow has failed. They're finished. Done. Their own nomination process is a complete disaster.
They're f---ed and they know it. Hence the childish theatrics. Desperation. Madness.
