(This person is a disgusting POS. There, I said it.)
[Gateway Pundit] Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has threatened to extend her extreme stay-at-home order in response to protesters who rallied against it at the state’s capital on Wednesday. In an interview with MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, Governor Whitmer said that the protest was "irresponsible" and that "we might have to actually think about extending stay-at-home orders, which is supposedly what they were protesting."...
Thousands of protesters had converged for a protest called "Operation Gridlock" to protest her order, which is one of the strictest in the nation.
The plan was for people to remain in their cars and rally against the draconian order by clogging the streets around the capital, but many ended up taking to the street to protest on foot.
"People are basically being told what they can and can’t buy at stores," Conservative Coalition member Matt Seely told News 8. "Nothing makes sense. You can buy a bottle of liquor [MI tax revenues...ka-ching!]
, but you can’t buy a gallon of paint."

How about weed? Is that considered essential? On 3/28 (Conservative Treehouse) headline read "Paranoid and Unstable Michigan Governor Claims Vast Conspiracy Because Medical Vendors Not Providing Equipment…" Is the governor smoking too much of the wacky weed?

How about weed? Is that considered essential?
Who am I to say what is essential or not? Accordingly, who is big government to say what is "essential" or not?
[BTW, I have zero problem with weed. I don't use it, medically or otherwise. If someone else does, it's none of my business.]

The dumbest thing is banning certain products in a store. Fine, tell people don't go to the store for non-essentials but there is no reason to stop anyone from impulse buying something while there. And banning seeds was just silly.

Which federal law enforcement agency is responsible for her safety if she is forcibly ejected from Michigan?

You don't need rope. Some railroad spikes and a handy wall work just as well. Not advocating, just saying. I get the feeling her state has decided enough is enough and if she attempts to retaliate, it's going to backfire in a really bad way.

Reporting in from Oakland County, MI (Greater Detroit area). She is awful, but a lot of the idiotic suburbanites (especially the simpering young liberals) are still mewling over how "wonderful" she is and how she is "protecting" everybody. She is an awful, wretched person who is doing her best to destroy this state.
The best sign I've seen is that the older democrat demographic is turning against her, slowly but surely. Even the union membership (predominantly older democrats) are becoming increasingly fed up with her. But Michigan is being unfortunately compliant, and far too many people can't seem to wrap their minds around just how terrible a job she is doing. As clear a case of brainwashing as I've ever seen.

I remember when Michigan drivers were the pedal to the metal crowd because MI didn't do points reciprocity with other states DMVs. Find that free spirit again.

Jesus... is f---ing EVERYTHING politicized now in this country?
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] A Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, public school teacher has bragged on social media that she is indoctrinating her students by teaching them that President Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... is a "fascist ...anybody you disagree with, damn them... ," compares the administration to death cult leader Jim Jones in lesson plans, and trashes her Republican students on social media. The unhinged teacher also compared the 2016 election results to the deadly 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
“I committed to telling my students the truth instead of telling ‘both sides.’ On Friday, I told a Trump supporting student that his ‘facts’ are untrue. He corrects objective FACTS with propaganda and I won’t give that equal weight. This is a tough time to teach Government,” Lora Yorch tweeted with a sad face emoji.
The article suggests that possibly hundreds of the students at that school are pro-Trump, along with their low-income, Hispanic families — Ms Yorch said that consistently 2-3 students per class openly resist her indoctrination in a class that is no doubt required for graduation, meaning considerably more do not accept what she has to say.

[Daily Beast] "This is a political attack that is designed to distract from the issue at hand and to use this outbreak to play politics," she insisted. She's flailing. Her polls must be horrendous
Embattled Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) waved off the firestorm of controversy over stock trades she made following Senate coronavirus briefings, telling Fox News on Friday that the criticism she’s received is nothing more than a "socialist attack."
Weeks after The Daily Beast reported that the Loeffler and her husband, New York Stock Exchange chief executive Jeff Sprecher, dumped up to $3.1 million in stock following a late January closed-door coronavirus briefing, Loeffler announced last week that the couple was liquidating their stock holdings amid accusations of insider trading. She has maintained that third-party advisers conducted the trades and she was not involved.
Noting that Loeffler had appeared on their program last month to deny any wrongdoing, America’s Newsroom co-anchor Sandra Smith asked Loeffler whether she and her husband had gone through with liquidating those stocks.

I don't follow Georgia political media but it seems nobody is asking the governor if he's had any second thoughts about Kel since he named her.

Don't hear much about Feinstein doing the same thing, do we now?

Brazilian Real is crashing hard as president Bolsonario is in a cat fight with everyone for trying to reopen the economy to stop the currency's hard crash. The left WANTS that kind of decapitating crash.

You're right, we aren't hearing about Feinstein. And we should be. Her actions are inexcusable. But that doesn't make this okay from Republicans either. I'm more than willing to forgive harsh language and unforgiving politics from Republicans because Democrats do it too. But not outright corruption.

IIRC, Congress exempted themselves from "insider trading" prohibitions. I think the standing rule is "don't piss in the punchbowl", i.e., don't get in the news for doing it.
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden ...Failed seeker of the Democratic presidential nomination on multiple occasions, vice president under Barack Obama, giving it a last try in his dotage for 2020... has begun putting together a transition team, which may decide to circulate the names of some Cabinet nominees before November's general election.
"I don’t want to say we started thinking about it a month ago, we did, because that sounds like I was certain this was going to happen, that I would be the nominee. I don’t want it to sound like that, but it has to happen, and that’s why the transition team is already being put together," Biden told about 150 donors during his second virtual fundraiser Thursday.
The presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential nominee's announcement suggests the two-term vice president and 36-year Delaware senator is looking past his fall fight with President Trump and making tentative preparations for governing.
While Biden declined to say who was in charge of the transition team's selection, he indicated he was considering elevating some administration roles focused on global health security and pandemics, as well as climate change, to Cabinet-level spots.
"If the Lord Almighty said, ’Joe, I tell you what. You have to decide in three hours what your Cabinet is, or you’re going to be bounced out of the race,’ I could write down who could be in the Cabinet. There are at least two or three people qualified for every one of those positions," he said.
Biden, at another online fundraiser this month, said the task could take him 15 minutes. At that event, he told donors he had discussed his potential Cabinet with former Democratic rival Bernie Sanders ...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being an Independent socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around... and his old boss, former President Barack Obama I inhaled. That was the point... . He also said he had started conversations with a range of people about whether they were willing to join him, seeking those who complemented his knowledge gaps and who "physically look like the country." He may err toward "younger, really qualified" candidates "to build a bench" of future leaders, according to the pool report.

It's beyond pathetic. Remove this poor addled goof from public life. ASAP.
If it's going to be Cuomo, fine, bring him forth. Big Mike, who/whatever. But it's bad for the nation to have one of its major political parties headed by a goof who's clearly suffering from dementia.
[APNEWS] President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... ’s former lawyer and longtime fixer Michael Cohen will be released from federal prison to serve the remainder of his sentence in home confinement because of the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... pandemic.
Cohen is currently locked up at FCI Otisville in New York after pleading guilty to numerous charges, including campaign finance fraud and lying to Congress. He will remain under quarantine for 14 days before he is released. Federal statistics show 14 inmates and seven staff members at the prison have tested positive for the coronavirus.
After he is released, Cohen will serve the remainder of his sentence at home, according to a Justice Department official and another person familiar with the matter. They could not discuss Cohen’s release publicly and spoke to The News Agency that Dare Not be Named on condition of anonymity.
Prison advocates and congressional leaders have been pressing the Justice Department for weeks to release at-risk inmates ahead of a potential outbreak, arguing that the public health guidance to stay 6 feet (1.8 meters) away from other people is nearly impossible behind bars.
On December 12, 2018, he was sentenced to three years in federal prison and ordered to pay a $50,000 fine after pleading guilty to tax evasion and campaign finance violations. On February 26, 2019, he was officially disbarred by the New York State Bar Association. He reported to the federal prison near Otisville, New York, on May 6, 2019.
[Mises] Some White House advisors like Anthony Fauci have often acted as if they were in a position to dictate to states whether or not to mandate "social distancing." But neither the president nor his advisors have ever demonstrated that they actually have the legal authority to set state and local policies on these matters.
Indeed, Donald Trump appeared to quite clearly defer to states on these matters since the COVID-19 panic began in March.

Public is going crazy. Readily attack other people not standing behind red line or not wearing face mask. Yet they pay cash or use card in machine others are using and stand 2 feet from cashier. Go to leave and you walk right past them. They are getting worse day by day.
Face masks are a joke. So you fart and you smell your surprise. Masks are a joke.
