"We are ready to get command and fight against them," said Mohammad Ismail, an army soldier.
According to Badghis Provincial Council, threats have not been removed on the Herat-Badghis highway and that the highway needs more outposts to be established in its various parts.
"There are two bases in Laman, one from the army and one from the police. There is a need for outposts in three other areas so that the highway remains open to traffic," said Bahauddin Qadesi, member of Badghis Provincial Council.

This attack did not cause any harm to the defense forces, but a child was mildly injured between the clash, Jilani added.

According to the local police reports, some motorcyclists entered the area but with the response of security forces, they escaped and resided in residential areas.

[Dhaka Tribune] Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested three arms dealers along with 11 pistols, 22 magazines and 50 rounds of ammunition at Raghunathpur border area in Benapole early on Saturday.
The arrestees were identified as Anarul, 34, Alamgir, 40 and Sajul Islam, 35, said Lt Col Selim Reza, commanding officer of 49-BGB in Jessore at a press briefing in the evening.
On a tip off, a team of BGB conducted a raid at the Ghiba border in Benapole early on Saturday arrested the trio and recovered the weapons which were being smuggled from India, he said.
"The trio have confessed to their involvement in arms trade during primary interrogation. They have been handed over to Benapole Port cop shoppe and a case has been filed against them." Selim Reza added.

[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] In the latest case of federal crackdowns on Portland riots, the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon moved to prosecute a local man with felony civil disorder following an FBI investigation that found he allegedly assaulted Portland cops with bear mace during a riot.
According to the Justice Department, 26-year-old Kevin Phomma was armed with a shield and a can of bear mace when he sprayed multiple officers at an unlawful assembly on Aug. 26 outside the local Immigrations and Customs Enforcement facility. When he was eventually taken into custody, police found him carrying a three-inch dagger on his hip. Phomma was charged by Portland Police with 11 felonies and misdemeanours, including interfering with a peace officer, disorderly conduct in the second degree, three counts of harassment, three unlawful tear gas misdemeanours, and three felony counts of unlawful macing. His bail was set at $33,000, which was paid.
Phomma lists his pronouns as "they" and "he" on social media, and previously listed a web address for an "Antifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... facilities department" on his Instagram profile.
That evening on the 93rd night of organized violence by Antifa, approximately 200 people surrounded the ICE facility in SW Portland and blocked nearby city streets. The intersection they occupied is located near a hospital. As the building was vandalized, one officer was injured by a large-sized rock launched at law enforcement. Officers with the Department of Homeland Security declared a riot just before the Portland Police Bureau instructed the crowd to disperse.
On Friday, Phomma turned himself in to the U.S. Marshals Service. He was released by a US magistrate judge pending further proceedings.
If convicted, Phomma faces a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison.

[NYPOST] Eight people were arrested Friday night when a group of 150 Black Lives Matter protesters smashed windows and graffitied the storefronts of Lower Manhattan chain stores and banks, police sources said.At least two Starbucks, five banks and a Duane Reade had their windows busted, causing an estimated $100,000 in damage.
Police recovered two stun guns, smoke grenades, and burglary and graffiti tools.
The protest had been advertised on Twitter by groups calling themselves the "New Afrikan Black Panther Party" and the "Revolutionary Abolitionist Movement."
One of the arrested protesters was from Portland, Ore., and another was from Iowa, the sources said.
All were charged with rioting; some were additionally charged with weapons and burglary tool possession.
The protest began at 6 p.m. at Foley Square; protesters lit trash can fires and scrawled graffiti — including the word "Abolition" — as they made their way north.
"Every city, every town, burn the precinct to the ground," the group was recorded chanting at one point.
Three of the banks damaged were on Seventh Avenue, between 14th and 20th streets, police sources said.
One source noted that the marchers bypassed the home of City Council Speaker Corey Johnson, who lives at 15th Street and Seventh Avenue.
Johnson has called for an investigation into counter-protesters who plowed a car into a crowd of BLM protesters in Times Square on Thursday night.
"They’re breaking his neighbors’ windows — how come he’s not calling for an investigation now?" the source asked The Post wryly.
Security footage obtained by NBC4 shows a protester in a balaclava using a tool to smash windows of a shop as others held umbrellas to shield the vandal from view.
"We call on everyone who stood up during the #GeorgeFloyd uprising and all supporters to come out to say #DropTheCharges for all who have fought for our liberation!" wrote one of the groups that organized the event, RAM NYC, while promoting the protest on Twitter late last month.

Two armed Paleostinians were maimed during an Israeli raid overnight in the West Bank city of Jenin, the military said.
A statement from the Israel Defense Forces said the two were hurt when troops blew up the door of the home where they were staying.
Video showed soldiers carrying them on stretchers. There was no word on their condition.
The pair were identified by the Paleostinian Authority’s official Wafa news agency as brothers Ahmad and Mohammad Jadoun, both in their 20s.
According to the IDF, rioting broke out as troops made the arrests and Paleostinians fired shots at the soldiers, and also hurled grenades and explosives at them.
No Israeli soldiers were maimed.
The IDF statement did not say what the brothers were suspected of doing.

[THEBAGHDADPOST] Reliable sources have informed the Syrian Observatory that a joint group of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), National Defence Forces (NDF), and military security in al-Mayadeen city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor have closed all entrances of the market of al-Maydeen city.
The security group encircled a military vehicle with the IRGC logo on it, carrying five members dressed in IRGC military uniform. The group disarmed the members and arrested them, and it was found later that these members were ISIS cells who came from the desert in disguise to buy food and some other supplies from the market.
According to SOHR sources, these members had entered al-Mayadeen city previously from the desert, acting as members of IRGC, in which they did shopping and returned to their positions in the desert.
