"Asmodeus and the Wicked Wizard of the East" is my latest effort at writing a book. It's at the top of the list on the right. It's my first effort at a first person approach, and my first at fantasy. It's set in a Roman Empire that never quite fell, where the east coast of the present U.S. is made up of Roman provinces. It's set in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, which make up the province of Agus. Rather than being a scientific, machine-based society, they rely on magic.
Clicking on the thumbnail will take you to the index. You can read the chapters and there's a box for comments. As I finish writing them, I'll be adding them. If you've got the time to read and critique, please do.

Fred, about three months ago I was sitting in a deli and two homeless guys were talking about x, y, z axis and multi-dimensional dimensions when a third homeless guy raced in and started explaining some complex abstract they were confused about that he solved. I swear! They sounded like the last few paragraphs at your link. They were the smartest homeless people I had ever heard. Then they started talking about where the best place to sleep for the night would be.

When I was in college, the prof for the Phil 101 offering was what you would expect from a philosophy professor: gangly, Adams apple that stuck out almost as fat as his big hawk nose, an out of control mop of curly brown hair and a rumpled tweed sport coat that he wore every day all year.
One day a classmate saw me in passing and said "I saw Professor F__ sleeping on a park bench just now!"
"He's conducting research," I replied.

Speaking of premise, Assassin 33 AD. Muslims grab a time machine to murder the Christ.
[Jpost] Higgins is the eighth man charged by Michigan authorities in the case, all of them described by prosecutors as members or associates of an anti-government militia group called the Wolverine Watchmen.
Michigan's attorney general has filed domestic terrorism charges against a 14th man accused of taking part in a plot by armed bandidosbully boyz to kidnap the governor as retribution for the public health orders she imposed to control spread of the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... The latest suspect in the alleged conspiracy, Brian Higgins, 51, was arrested on Thursday in his home state of Wisconsin, where he now faces extradition proceedings, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel said in a press statement.
Higgins is the eighth man charged by Michigan authorities in the case, all of them described by prosecutors as members or associates of an anti-government militia group called the Wolverine Watchmen.
Six other man have been arrested on federal kidnapping charges stemming from the same joint investigation by the FBI, state police and other agencies.
They are accused of conspiring over the summer to abduct Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer ...Her Excellency, the dictator of Michigan, 2020 Dem VP contender... , a Democrat who has clashed sharply with Republican President Donald Trump ...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US... over stay-at-home measures she ordered in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The agent said the two governors were singled out because of coronavirus lockdown measures the conspirators believed had gone too far.
At least three of the defendants were among hundreds of protesters, many carrying weapons, who thronged the Michigan capitol on April 30 as state politicians debated Whitmer's request to extend her emergency health authority. Photos show all three men were armed.
Higgins, like his seven co-defendants charged in state court, has been charged with providing material support for terrorist acts, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison, Nessel said. Six entered not guilty pleas last week. The seventh is awaiting extradition from South Carolina.

Well the Wolverine Watchmen having been described by Liberal run state prosecutors as members of an anti-government militia group .
So this means either the LSD's (The Liberal-Socialist-Democrats) change their Liberal manifesto, or own up that their own Anti US Gov. agenda and followers are even fed up with them also.
Because the only Anti US Government groups rioting and looting today are LSD financed and run. Like the M-BLM, Pinkies, ANTI-FA and etc...

[AnNahar] A U.N. peacekeeper was killed in northern Mali and another seriously maimed after their vehicle hit a roadside kaboom on Thursday, the U.N. mission said.
The blast occurred some 50 kilometers (30 miles) south of the northern city of Kidal, in the latest violence to hit the conflict-ridden Sahel state.
[All Africa] Islamist faceless myrmidons attacked Nambo and Pangane, two villages in the Mucojo administrative post, in the northern Mozambican province of Cabo Delgado, between Friday and Monday, reports Wednesday's issue of the independent newssheet "Carta de Mocambique".The raiders murdered ten people, three in Nambo and seven in Pangane. Two Mozambican soldiers were among the dead in Pangane.
The faceless myrmidons also kidnapped 60 people in Pangane and two in Nambo. They set houses, shops and vehicles on fire, including two vehicles of the defence and security forces. People displaced from their homes in the villages fled to the district capital, Macomia town, and to Matemo island, off the coast.
This was the second attack on Mucojo in the space of a fortnight. Between 30 September and 6 October, the faceless myrmidons occupied several Mucojo villages and the headquarters of the administrative post, where they flew the black flag of the international terror organization that calls itself "Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... According to a second newssheet, "Mediafax", the faceless myrmidons attacked in force, greatly outnumbering the members of the defence and security forces, whose two positions were overwhelmed.
Local sources said the faceless myrmidons murdered, vandalised and looted, making it clear to the residents that they wanted nobody to stay in Mucojo. They even gave some elderly villagers money to catch buses to leave, telling them "Go to Maputo and stay with your President Nyusi".
Nonetheless, one vehicle braved the 70 kilometre road from Mucojo to Macomia town on Friday (before the second attack). The occupants of the vehicle found the jihadists had placed barricades of tree trunks at ten points along the road.
One person who travelled in this vehicle said "the car left from Naunde village and went to Macomia town. They didn't burn it because the car was hidden in the bush, and the gunnies didn't see it". People who had slept in the bush piled into the vehicle, and left the village deserted.
Others fled from the faceless myrmidons on foot. 43 year old Maquina Selemene said she had walked with her two children, one aged seven and the other ten, from Mucojo to Macomia town. The journey, she said, took six days and nights without anything to eat or drink. She had walked through the bush to avoid being spotted by the terrorists. From Macomia, she travelled on to her cousin's house in the bucolic provincial capital, Pemba.
[HRW.ORG] The European Union ...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing... has agreed to a request by the Mozambican government for help combatting the Islamist gang al-Sunna wa Jama’a.
The insurgency began in October 2017 and affects several districts in the northern province of Cabo Delgado. Fighting between the group and government forces has left more than 1,500 civilians dead, displaced more than 250,000, and resulted in more than 700,000 people needing emergency assistance. The bully boyz have committed beheadings, attacks on villages, summary executions, looting, and destruction of infrastructure, including schools and health centers.
In a letter sent last month by the Mozambican minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Veronica Macamo, to the EU high representative for foreign affairs and security policy, the government asked for humanitarian and logistical support, and specialist training for the Mozambican defense and security forces. It was the first time that the government publicly acknowledged the need for international assistance in fighting the Death Eaters.

[JPost] - French police on Friday shot dead a man who minutes earlier had killed a middle school teacher by slitting his throat in the street in a suburb of Paris, police said on Friday.
The teacher had shown pupils in his class cartoons of the Prophet Mohammad, which are considered by Muslims to be blasphemous, according to a police source.
France's anti-terror prosecutor said it was investigating the attack, which took place in Conflans Sainte-Honorine, a suburb north-west of Paris.
The suspected attacker was spotted by a police patrol while carrying a knife a short distance from the scene of the attack. The police shot the suspect dead, according to a police spokesman.
A police source said that witnesses had heard the attacker shout "Allahu Akbar," or "God is Greatest." The police spokesman said that information was being checked.
We'll probably NEVER know his motivation. Bet it's "mental instability"
[NY Post] A knife-wielding man shouted "Allahu Akbar" and then beheaded a middle school teacher on a street in Paris on Friday ‐ in apparent retaliation after the educator had shown students cartoons of the Muslim Prophet Muhammad, according to reports.
Immediately after the beheading, the attacker claimed responsibility and posted an image of his victim's severed head on Twitter, a police source told NBC News. The grisly image was removed by the social-media site.
The attacker ‐ who was also armed with a gun and shot dead moments later by cops ‐ was the father of a student at the school who may have had terrorist ties, according to Le Parisien and Le Monde.
His victim taught history and had shown his students cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad from the magazine Charlie Hebdo during a class debate on freedom of expression, Le Monde and NBC News reported.
In 2015, 12 people were killed when Islamist terrorists attacked the magazine's offices over its caricatures of the Muslim prophet. Then, late last month, another jihadist used a meat cleaver to attack and injure two people outside the magazine's former offices.
Bomb disposal experts were on hand in Friday's attack because of the suspected presence of an explosives vest on the attacker, sources told Agence France-Presse.
National anti-terror prosecutors said they are investigating a killing "in relation to a terrorist enterprise" connected to a "criminal terrorist association," Le Monde reported.
The beheading happened Friday afternoon in Conflans-Saint-Honorine, a western suburb of the French capital, the report said.
Police were at the scene after getting a call about a suspicious individual loitering near the school, the report said, citing a law enforcement source.
Police found the victim, whose first name was revealed as "Samuel P." by Le Monde and who was born in 1972 — and the suspect was still nearby.
Confronted, the suspect threatened police, who opened fire, killing him, the report said.

[AnNahar] Kurdish-led authorities released on Thursday hundreds of snuffies from the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group imprisoned in northern Syria, as part of a general amnesty in the region controlled by the U.S.-backed fighters.
Amina Omar, the head of the Syrian National Council, told news hounds that IS members who were released have "no blood on their hands" and have all repented joining IS at some point.
"They are people who can be reformed," Omar said shortly before the men were freed.
The Syrian Democratic Council said the 631 prisoners were released Thursday while 253 others will have their terms cut in half. It said the amnesty and the release followed requests by tribal leaders in northeastern and eastern Syria.
Kurdish authorities currently operate more than two dozen detention facilities scattered across northeastern Syria, holding about 10,000 IS fighters. Among the detainees are some 2,000 foreigners whose home countries have refused to repatriate them, including about 800 Europeans.
The Islamic State group - which at the height of its power in 2014 controlled a third of both Iraq and Syria - lost its last sliver of land last year when the U.S.-backed Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces captured the eastern Syrian village of Baghouz.
Since then, the forces of Evil have gone underground, carrying out hit-and-run attacks, mostly targeting Syrian government forces and the Kurdish-led fighters.
Earlier this month, the Kurdish-led authority said it will allow Syrian citizens to leave a sprawling camp that houses tens of thousands of women and kiddies, many of them linked to IS.
Most of the detainees at al-Hol camp are Syrian and Iraqi women and kiddies. Another highly secured tent settlement that is part of the camp is known as the Annex and is home to some 10,000 hard-line IS supporters from other countries.
The overpopulated camp is home to a total of 65,000 people and has been a burden to the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Kurdish police in charge of security at the facility. Crime rates have been high inside the camp and some of the women have tried to escape.
Over the past 10 days dozens of families have left the camp.
