[WCBB] The Boston Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a man in connection with a fire that was set inside a ballot drop box in the city.
Secretary of the Commonwealth William Galvin contacted U.S. Attorney Andrew Lelling's office after he was notified of the incident Sunday morning. He is also calling on the FBI to investigate what appears to be a deliberate attack.
The Boston Elections Department notified Galvin's office that the fire was set at about 4 a.m. in the ballot drop box outside of the Boston Public Library's main branch in Copley Square.
Boston police said officers responded at 4:11 a.m. to the area of 700 Boylston St., which is the location of the library's main branch. When they arrived at the scene, the officers saw Boston firefighters tending to smoke coming from the ballot box.
Galvin told NewsCenter 5's Julie Loncich that it appears a sophisticated incendiary device was used to start the fire, as the damage to the interior plastic lining of the ballot drop box was severe.
The ballot box appeared to be on fire, but firefighters were unable to determine if the fire was burning on the inside, according to police. Crews were eventually able to extinguish the fire by filling the box with water.
When the drop box was emptied Sunday morning, 87 of the 122 ballots inside were legible and able to be processed. The last time the box had been emptied prior to the fire was just before 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Galvin told NewsCenter 5's Julie Loncich that it appears a sophisticated incendiary device was used to start the fire, as the damage to the interior plastic lining of the ballot drop box was severe.

In announcing their investigation, the U.S. Attorney's office and the FBI issued a statement saying in part, "For the next several weeks, it is a top priority of our offices to help maintain the integrity of the election process in Massachusetts by aggressively enforcing federal election laws."
Police released photos of a man who they are looking to identify as part of their ongoing arson investigation.
Boston voters who used the Copley Square drop box between 2:30 p.m. Saturday and 4 a.m. Sunday, and who haven't been able to confirm receipt of their ballot through the state's tracking website, are urged to immediately contact the Boston Elections Department.
Affected voters will be mailed a replacement ballot and can either cast it or vote in-person until 8 p.m. on Election Day, which is Nov. 3. Any affected voters who do not submit a new ballot will have their original ballot hand-counted to the best extent possible, according to Galvin's office.

While speaking with the man, 39-year-old Worldy Armand, police discovered that he had an active warrant out of Ipswich District Court for receiving stolen property and took him into custody.
While he was in police custody, members of the fire investigation unit were able to identify Armand as the suspect in the ballot box fire and charged him with willful and malicious burning.
Armand was arraigned Monday in Boston Municipal Court, where he underwent a mental health evaluation. "I do not believe that this individual is plotting against our democracy. I think that he is emotionally disturbed," said Suffolk County District Attorney Rachael Rollins.

I do not believe that this individual is plotting against our democracy. I think that he is emotionally disturbed These two possibilities are not mutually exclusive. A great many of the plotters against our republic ARE emotionally disturbed. Some of these disturbed people are consider "experts" by other disturbed people.

[AmericanThinker] GTV, a Chinese dissident billionaire’s Taiwan-based media outlet, is releasing sordid, depressing videos and photographs of a person purported to be Hunter Biden engaging in sex and seemingly smoking crack. That’s not the big news. The big news is that the same outlet claims that (a) Communist China owns Joe Biden; (b) Joe Biden sold out CIA assets in China who were then executed or imprisoned; and (c) GTV has millions of images showing other presumably influential people in comprising positions. If all this is true, we may see a complete realignment in Western politics.
The Hunter Biden videos and images are at GTV’s video site. I won’t give the link here because the material is pornographic. However, the following are two cropped pictures. In both, the person appearng to be Hunter is naked and with a woman. In the second picture, Hunter appears to be lighting a crack pipe while engaged in sexual activity with the woman:

[The Post Millennial] One America News Network host Jack Posobiec tweeted Sunday that a source from the Department of Justice told the network that the FBI dropped the investigation due to supposed concerns over the story from the repair shop owner. Concerns were raised over the chain of custody in the case.
The source indicated that the FBI dropped the investigation "because they did not believe the repair shop owner's story would hold up in court, although Mac Isaac provided them with evidence," according to Posobiec, who added that "They found zero evidence of foreign involvement." SMH but not surprised.
Yes, but that was before all sorts of evidence supported by the personal witness of certain involved persons appeared in the press, was tweeted and talked about, and generally became widely known, including to the president. It all becomes much more complicated for the FBI once the big guy gets involved.
