[ALMASDARNEWS] On Wednesday, the leaders of the Æthiopian Tigray region announced their refusal to surrender to the federal government forces, asserting that they are winning the war.According to Rooters, they said: "Tigray is now a hell to its enemies ... The people of Tigray will never kneel."
"Attempting to rule the people of Tigray by force is like walking on a burning flame," the Tigrayan statement added. "Tigray will be the graveyard of dictators."
Tigray leaders, in a lengthy statement, accused government forces of targeting civilians, churches and homes, cutting off internet, electricity and banking services. The statement further stated that hundreds of thousands of people have been forced to abandon their homes.
The statement added that the Tigrayan forces were nonetheless able to seize tanks and artillery and would soon be able to take out their enemies despite their numerical superiority.
The Front says that Abiy Ahmed, who was a former military leader in the region and a political partner, persecutes their ethnic group and dismisses officials who belong to it from prominent security and government positions since he took power in 2018.
The conflict has claimed hundreds, perhaps thousands, of lives on both sides, prompted about 30,000 to flee to Sudan, and raised doubts about the reputation of Abiy Ahmed, Africa’s youngest leader, Nobel Peace Prize winner in 2019, for concluding a peace agreement with Eritrea ...is run by the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), with about the amounts of democracy and justice you'd expect from a party with that name. National elections have been periodically scheduled and cancelled; none have ever been held in the country. The president, Isaias Afewerki, has been in office since independence in 1993 and will probably die there of old age... .

[ENGLISHBETA.ALARABIYA.NET] A handful of shadowy Shia militias have emerged over the last year in Iraq intent on targeting US coalition forces and Western interests in the country. The new militias, loyal to Iran, have grabbed credit for several attacks on US targets, including those in Baghdad’s Green Zone.
Much about the groups is unknown, including how many there are or how many fighters are in their ranks. Al Arabiya English was able to identify more than 10, and some experts put the number as high as 20, but their shifting nature makes it difficult to track.
The groups demand the full withdrawal of US and Coalition forces from Iraq, with some suggesting that they seek Dire Revenge for the killing of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani

[THEBAGHDADPOST] Iraq’s foreign minister Wednesday condemned a rocket attack in the capital a day earlier, calling it a "terrorist act," and said combat operations by the US-led coalition will cease once troop withdrawals take place in the coming weeks.
Fuad Hussein’s comments came hours after seven rockets struck Baghdad, four of them exploding inside the heavily fortified Green Zone, the seat of Iraq’s government and home to the US Embassy.
The rockets, which killed a child and maimed five other civilians, indicated an end to an informal truce announced by Iran-backed militias in October to halt attacks targeting the US presence in Iraq.
One rocket landed just 600 meters (2,000 feet) from the US Embassy compound, Iraqi security officials said.
US troops invaded Iraq in 2003 and left in 2011 but returned in 2014 after the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group overran large parts of Iraq.
Frequent attacks targeting the US Embassy and vehicles transporting equipment for US troops have led Washington to threaten to close its Baghdad diplomatic mission.
Hussein called the attack against the Green Zone "blatant, criminal and terrorist" in comments to news hounds following a meeting with the US ambassador and US military leaders. "It is an attack on the Iraqi government and Iraqi people and we condemn such operations," Hussein said.

After 17 years and over 5,000 lost America lost lives. The Iraqi leadership has still FAILED to figure out how to run a country with liberty and freedoms.
Then it is time to say goodbye long ago.
I guess the Rich and Powerful are going to have to start another war to make money.

Civilization has evaded AFG and Iraq for thousands of years. 17-20 years of US involvement is a single breath in time. Nothing has really changed. Nothing will change. Their moon deity Al-Lat wills it.

What he fails to state is why we should give a damn that his country will fall apart. That's his problem. Not ours. Enough of this nonsense. We have been in this war since I was in elementary school, and it's disgusting how little we have accomplished.

Can't withdraw. There's oil there. Our elites do not wish to allow any oil outside their control. This is why we will soon be invading Venezuela with that bankers' tool Guaido at the head of the column of troops.
Get more cemetery plots ready because we're gonna need 'em.

'Iraq to send election observers to US; peace keepers to Chicago, Baltimore.'

[IsraelTimes] Pompeo says the new normalization agreements "set down a marker, a marker for the future of the Middle East" with "a common vision for peace, security and prosperity."
He hails the newfound peace between Israel and Bahrain as "a wonderful opportunity for all the nations of the world."
Bahrain’s al-Zayani says it is "my pleasure to make this historic first visit to Israel."
He thanks Israel for the "warm welcome and generous hospitality." He says he is "greatly encouraged" by his meetings with Israeli officials today.
Al-Zayani says he will be discussing with Netanyahu and Pompeo "how we can achieve the objective of the Abraham Accords in practical terms."
He says it is obvious that all sides are eager to ensure "the peace we are pursuing will be a warm peace that will deliver clear benefits to our peoples."
[IsraelTimes] The United States hits Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... with new sanctions, as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo makes the case that undoing the actions of the Trump administration will be foolish and dangerous.
The Treasury and State departments announce they have targeted a leading Iranian charity and numerous of its affiliates for human rights ...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty... violations. At the same time, Pompeo releases a statement titled "The Importance of Sanctions on Iran," which argues that the Trump administration’s moves against Iran make the world safer and should not be reversed.
The sanctions announced Wednesday target Iran’s Mostazafan Foundation and roughly 160 of its subsidiaries, which are alleged to provide material support to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei ...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini... for malign activities, including the suppression of dissent.
"While [it] is ostensibly a charitable organization charged with providing benefits to the poor and oppressed, its holdings are expropriated from the Iranian people and are used by the Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to enrich his office, reward his political allies, and persecute the regime’s enemies," the Treasury says in a statement.
Also targeted was Iran’s Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi, who it says "played a central role in the Iranian regime’s human rights abuses against Iranian citizens."

The move is the latest breach by Iran of its nuclear deal with major powers, which says it can only accumulate enriched uranium with first-generation IR-1 machines and those are the only ones it can operate at the underground plant. A previous IAEA report said Iran had installed IR-2m machines underground.
"On 14 November 2020, the Agency verified that Iran began feeding UF6 into the recently installed cascade of 174 IR-2m centrifuges at the Fuel Enrichment Plant (FEP) in Natanz," the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency report to member states dated Tuesday said.

USIP report: As of November 2020, Iran had amassed 12 times the amount of enriched uranium permitted by the 2015 deal negotiated by the six major powers. Iran was limited to producing a maximum of 447 pounds of low-enriched uranium to only 3.6 percent. Generating fuel is one of three steps required to make a viable bomb; the others are designing the weapon and marrying it to a delivery system, such as a missile or a gravity bomb dropped by a warplane. As of November 2, Tehran had stockpiled 5,386 pounds of uranium enriched to 4.5 percent, the International Atomic Energy Agency reported.
Iran will “automatically” return to its nuclear commitments if US President-elect Joe Biden lifts sanctions imposed over the past two years, its foreign minister says.https://t.co/S8EK2ntQMJ

This agreement has now about 5 years left to run then Iran can do legal enrichment. Then in 5 years' time legally it can do weaponization. The other issue is that Iran if the deal is recommenced, could argue for compensation.

Yes, they are committed to developing nuclear weapons and if Biden gets into the White House they'll return to developing nuclear weapons.

Iran like NORK thinks that she will get respect through intimidation of her neighbors through nuclear weapons. Actually it is a path to national suicide. That is what is going to happen. That is why Trump worked out accords with Israel and her neighbors. They will have to deal with Iran. All Biden knows are payoffs.
