[KhaamaPress] Muzghan and her Aunt Nasreen are the female assassins who lured an Afghan security official to his death with promises of sex before shooting him dead.
Following the liquidation, they dumped his body at a cemetery, the women are among thousands of Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... affiliated assassinators freed as part of a fragile peace plan, AFP reports.
As ultra-conservative Islamists ban women from many areas of life and are often forced to stay home, but these women were given tasks to become and serve as deadly assassins.
Muzhgan and her aunt Nasreen walked free from jail in September of 2020, following confession to being members of the Haqqani network ...a branch of the Afghan Taliban, based in Pakistain. The network is a family business founded by the later Jalaluddin Haqqani... Both women were reported to have been on death row, after several killings including the murder of an Afghan intelligence agent at their home.
Nasreen’s daughter used as bait "under the pretext of selling her body" on the orders of a Taliban commander, AFP quotes a security official.
The agent was cold-bloodedly murdered using a pistol fitted with a silencer; his body was left in a local graveyard inside a metal box.
These women were prolific killers, adept at setting deadly "honey traps and brutal murders, including killings of their own relatives- AFP.
They are involved in murdering two men of their own family who served as coppers; one was poised and the other was killed by the assassin’s magnetic mine.
As it is not common for relatives to opposing sides in Afghanistan’s decades of war.
The pair before their arrest in 2016 worked with other people including Muzhgan’s husband. The assassin group carried out deadly grenade attacks and shooting on a Sufi shrine and their list of murder spree grows.
Prior to her release, Muzhgan said in a recorded video by the authorities, that she "will not join this group again" she confessed to murdering, kidnapping, and cooperating with the "Haqqani Network".
It is rare for such notorious killers to appear in female bodies, as the Taliban are strictly based on women’s freedom.
Under the prisoner swap agreement of more than 5000 Taliban fighters, 5 are women.
Such cases are almost unheard of in regions such as Afghanistan.
"The Taliban’s norms and ideology firmly relegate women to the domestic sphere," she told AFP.
"To allow them to take part in, or admit that they played a role in waging the war, would go against core ideological tenets of the movement." analyst Ashley Jackson from the Overseas Development Institute think tank told AFP.
Taliban freed 1,000 members of the Afghan cops, but Kabul said many of the Taliban released prisoners have returned to the battlefield.
Nasreen and Muzhgan were among the 400 most dangerous prisoners to be released.
On the other hand, Taliban front man Zabiullah Mujahid said, the women were ordinary members of Taliban families detained during American operations.
He said women in the holy warrior families do cooperate but are not included, recruited, or "ordered to take part in operations"
Among the released prisoners, Nargis an Iranian national who became an Afghan citizen, a police officer following her marriage with a local man, was convicted of killing a U.S. police trainer in Kabul in the year 2012. It is reported as the first insider attack by the Afghan officials.
According to the Taliban, two other women are from holy warrior families, who were released and have now returned to their homes.

[France24] Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) has chosen a new leader to replace Abdelmalek Droukdel, who was killed in June by French forces, the SITE monitoring group reported Saturday.
Algerian Abu Obaida Yusuf al-Annabi,
...also known as Sheikh Mujahid Yazid Mubarak and Abu Obaida al-Annabi ...
the head of AQIM's "Council of Dignitaries", was named as Droukdel's successor, SITE said.
Al-Annabi has been on the American "international terrorist" blacklist since September 2015, according to the Counter Extremism Project.
He has regularly appeared in the group's propaganda videos, and in 2013 famously demanded that Muslims retaliate against France's intervention in Mali.
AQIM also confirmed the death of Swiss national Beatrice Stoeckli, who was abducted in Timbuktu while working as a missionary in 2016.

[Libya Observer] The front man for the Sirte-Jufra Operations Room under the command of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Abdelhadi Drah said they had depicted massive military mobilization for Khalifa Haftar ...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all. Actually, he is, but slowly... 's forces in Benghazi and other east Libyan cities moving toward the western region.
Drah told news hounds that Haftar's forces had been mobilizing in Sirte port and in Jufra, saying the "warlord could be preparing for violating the ceasefire agreement and all solution efforts to the Libyan crisis as well as the agreements made by the 5+5 joint military commission.
Several sources confirmed earlier that Russian Wagner Group and Sudanese Janjaweed mercenaries had been moving around Sirte and Jufra as they had been digging trenches and setting up anti-aircraft systems from western Sirte to Ras Lanuf and Jufra.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shootout, Butch cautiously raised his hat over the edge of the horse trough on the end of a stick...... Russian media outlets unveiled details about transports of heavy anti-aircraft system, Serbian LRSVM Morava system, from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Haftar in Libya, adding that the UAE owned those modern Serbian anti-aircraft systems and it had transported them to Haftar’s forces in Libya.
Russian media also pointed out that the Serbian LRSVM Morava anti-aircraft systems had been seen in military maneuvers done by the so-called Tariq bin Ziyad Brigade of Haftar’s forces.

[BenarNews] Bangladesh’s most influential faith-based organization, Hefajat-e-Islam ...a madrassa-based false nose and mustache of the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, formed in 2010 to protest against secular education. In 2011 demonstrated violentyly against women's rights and in 2013 held large rallies demanding capital punishment of Shahbag Square protesters and banning women working outside the home... , is likely to become more hardline and take an even stronger anti-government stance after a pro-opposition faction recently took control of the group, analysts told BenarNews.
Amid infighting with a faction allied with the prime minister’s Awami League, Hefazat selected Junayed Babunagari as its emir, or leader, on Nov. 15. He is a supporter of the opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its ally, the conservative religion-based Jamaat-e-Islami

[Dhaka Tribune] Following a cabinet member’s remarks that public servants outnumbered politicians in siphoning off money abroad, the High Court has sought information on money launderers. In a suo moto (voluntary) rule on Sunday, the court described money launderers as "enemies of the state" and asked whether appropriate measures were taken against them.
Secretaries to the home and foreign ministries, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC), Bangladesh Bank, Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit, National Board of Revenue and the deputy commissioner of Dhaka district have been told to submit details of money launderers by December 17.
"Those who are involved in laundering money have no patriotism and they are enemies of the state and nation," observed the bench of Justice Md Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Ahmed Sohel.
The court also gave the government four weeks to explain why its inaction to take action against money launderers would not be declared illegal.
It issued the rule following media reports on Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen’s remarks made recently.
Deputy Attorney General AKM Amin Uddin Manik and ACC’s counsel Advocate Khurshid Alam attended the hearing.
"A huge amount of money is being siphoned off to Canada, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries and most of them are government officials. We need to know who these people are and how they are laundering money," the court said.
Money launderers have betrayed the state and its citizens, it added.

Russian President Vladimir Putin ...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. [Jpost] Qadri Abu Bakr told The New York Times that prisoners' families salaries would change to match the families' needs, instead of correlating to prison sentence. He denied the statement to Arab media.
A PLO official told The New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... one thing, and then told Arabic media outlets the exact opposite, the Paleostinian Media Watch (PMW) has revealed.
On November 21, Qadri Abu Bakr, the PLO's Director for Commission of Prisoners’ Affairs, told The New York Times that the Paleostinian Authority's (PA) policy on terrorists' families' salaries will change.
According to the report, until now, the families of Paleostinian gunnies were getting paid compensation money that correlated to the time length of the prison sentence.
Now, the salary will instead change to meet the financial needs of the family, regardless of the prison sentence length.
"Economic need must serve as the basis... A single man should not be earning the same as someone with a family," he told The New York Times.
However, some people cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go... two days earlier, on Thursday, November 19, Fatah's official Facebook page published a post affirming that the salaries of terrorists' families are "non-negotiable," and that the Paleostinian leadership's position is "firm and will not change, regardless of the circumstances and pressures."
That same day, Bakr denied the statement to London-based media company al-Araby al-Jadeed, The New Arab.
PMW, on October 1, exposed the statement as a ploy to redirect the money back to the terrorists.
In an interview, Bakr said that there are 7,000-8,000 released gunnies who receive a monthly salary, based on the 2004 PA Law of Prisoners and Released Prisoners’ Affairs.
Instead of simply distributing salaries, Bakr said the PA would now hire the released terrorists, often for the Paleostinian Security Forces.
To Anadolu, a Ottoman Turkishstate-run news agency ...and if you can't trust the state-run news agency who can you believe?... , he said, on Wednesday, November 18, "the Paleostinian [PA] government has begun to appoint former prisoners in the Israeli prison to governmental posts."
[BenarNews] Police in Indonesia have arrested at least 30 suspected Jemaah Islamiyah faceless myrmidons this year, even though the al-Qaeda affiliate behind the country’s worst terror attacks has long been outlawed, with one analyst describing the underground network as "dormant."
Famously Al Qaeda’s Southeast Asian affiliate, Jemaah Islamiyah sent hard boys to fight in Syria with the Muslim Brotherhood-influenced Free Syrian Army against the Assad government, and wanted to establish an Islamic state at home.
The arrests were authorized under revisions to Indonesia’s anti-terror act in 2018 that gave law enforcement broad powers to investigate and arrest people suspected of planning terrorist attacks, supporting or joining illegal military trainings, or spreading ideology deemed as a threat to national security.
The surge in arrests indicates that authorities see the network as a threat even if it has not engaged in violence in more than 10 years, analysts say. Despite being outlawed, they say that Jemaah Islamiyah has funds, skills and affiliated madrassas — schools where potential new members are groomed.
[VOA] Key U.S. officials are not backing down from their assessment that core al-Qaeda, while still a threat, is in decline, brushing aside intelligence suggesting the terror organization remains entrenched in Afghanistan and may be growing stronger.
For months, tensions have been growing between the United States and its allies over the status of al-Qaeda, with some counterterrorism officials arguing Washington is in danger of underestimating the threat posed by the terror group.
But the State Department’s top counterterrorism official on Tuesday said al-Qaeda has been significantly degraded as a result of U.S. efforts.
