#1  She's right in a way.

Antifa/BLM are the leftist establishment's attack sock-puppets.

They're easily neutralized by the police if the establishment so chooses.

They're dangerous if the police and the legal system tolerate their attacks on citizens and crack down on self-defense.

Turkish Military Presence Remains in Libya
[LIBYAREVIEW] On Tuesday, the Ottoman Turkish Defense Ministry announced that it has provided training to Government of National Accord (GNA) forces, as part of its training, assistance and advice agreement signed in November 2019."We continue to provide training to the Libyan Army personnel as part of the training, assistance and advice agreement," the statement noted. "Recently, Driver and Maintenance Training for the Kirpi/Vuran model Tactical Wheeled Armoured Vehicle was provided to the Libyan soldiers," it added.

In December 2019, The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
signed two MoUs on defence and gas drilling in the Mediterranean with the outgoing GNA, as well as providing weapons, military training, and imported muscle to the GNA. Reports indicated that Turkey has transferred more than 18,000 mercenaries from Syria to western Libya.

Last month, Libya’s new Prime Minister Abdel-Hamid Dbaiba confirmed that the maritime agreement with Turkey would remain in force.

Sources told 218 News, that Turkey informed the UN envoy to Libya, Jan Kubis of Ankara’s commitment to withdraw the Syrian fighters from the country. The source pointed to a remarkable Ottoman Turkish diplomatic move with Romania, in conjunction with the latter’s communication as "a regional country that plays a role in Libya."

The sources said this development may be considered a prelude to paving the way for the use of trainers or experts from Romania to work in Libya, or any other place where Turkey’s interests reside. They noted that Ankara will use Romanian companies to replace Ottoman Turkish forces in Libya.

Arabia
Yemeni President Rejects Importing Iranian Experience to Yemen
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
i President Abdrabbuh Mansur Hadi renewed his country’s rejection of armed militias attempting to repeat the "Iranian experience" in Yemen and urged finding peace through the three key reference frameworks.

Hadi’s administration supports peace efforts based on the Gulf initiative, the outcomes of the comprehensive National Dialogue, and the relevant UN resolutions, especially resolution 2216.

The president relayed Yemeni rejection for importing Iranian ideology to the war-torn country during his meeting with UN Resident Coordinator David Gressly in Riyadh. This coincided with pro-government forces foiling fresh Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
assaults west and northwest of the oil-rich Marib governorate.

Fierce festivities between Iran-backed Houthi militias and armed Yemeni forces backed by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition continued in the governorates of Taiz and Hajjah.

Hadi, according to official sources, briefed Gressly on humanitarian services and aid provided to Yemen in light of the catastrophic fallout of the nationwide war waged by Houthi militias.

Welcoming all humanitarian efforts exerted by UN agencies, Hadi reassured the UN official that his government is keen on facilitating the work of all humanitarian organizations operating in Yemen.

He vowed to support the delivery of aid to deserving beneficiaries throughout the country.

The Yemeni leader denounced Houthis for looting humanitarian relief and leaving Yemenis to starve.

Houthis are accused of seizing and funneling humanitarian aid sent by international organizations to their war effort, which includes incessant targeting of civilians and refugees in Taiz, Marib, and Hodeidah.

Hadi and Gressly reviewed Yemeni government efforts and measures in the health, education, and services sectors. The two discussed a variety of initiatives undertaken to alleviate the suffering of Yemenis.

Hadi also invited all international organizations to relocate their operations to the interim capital, Aden, where the UN-recognized government is based.

Houthi recruitment of child soldiers and targeting of civilians with drones and ballistic missiles was also addressed in Hadi’s meeting with the UN coordinator.

Britain
ISIS bride Shamima Begum ditches Islamic attire for Western garb
[NYPOST] ISIS bride Shamima Begum has ditched her traditional Islamic garb for Western duds at her Syrian refugee camp — looking more like a British tourist in shades, a striped T-shirt and zip-up sweater.
I, of course, am completely taken in by her change of heart. Aren't you?
The 21-year-old’s ensemble at the Al Roj camp was in stark contrast to the black niqab she wore when she was found in 2019, when she expressed her support for the terror group.
It's in complete contrast to what she was wearing until her appeal was rejected.
Begum is stuck in the detention camp after the UK’s Supreme Court unanimously turned down her request to come back to Britannia.
What part of "lost your citizenship" don't you understand?
She shook hands with The Telegraph on Sunday but politely declined to be interviewed, citing legal advice, though she agreed to be photographed.
"Over here! Over here!... What? Take my picture?... Well... I guess so. [Simper!]"
Begum was just 15 when she and two other schoolgirls from London traveled to Syria to join the jihadists. Her citizenship was revoked on national security grounds in 2019. It’s believed the other two were killed in the fighting.
"Dear Whatsername and dear Whosis. So sad their VBEIDs exploded!"
She has lost three children born in the years since, the last a boy born in 2019 after she married an ISIS fighter from the Netherlands. That year she told Sky News that her first two children died "of sickness" in a camp.
What kinda sickness? Is neglect a sickness?
On Monday, a lawyer for her family accused Britannia of racism over her treatment, calling her a "tragic scapegoat."
Others would call her "an enemy belligerent."
"What happened to Christian forgiveness? Does it not apply to a woman — and a dark-skinned one at that?
It just means the Brits haven't given up their last threads of sense, common or otherwise.
It seems that different rules apply," lawyer Tasnime Akunjee and the sculptor Anish Kapoor said in a joint statement, Agence La Belle France-Presse reported.
I don't see any John Bull type names whining for her to come back and live next to them.
"Is it perhaps that some of us are more British than others of us? Shamima is of Bangladeshi descent, does that change her right to British nationality?" they said.
She pledged allegiance to the Islamic State. How's that make her British?
"I am tempted to think it does especially in the light of the Supreme Court’s judgment," the two added.
I am tempted to think that a) the two speakers are full of fertilizer, and b) she's about as British as a Kaaba Stone. There's a reason Bangla won't have her and it's not raycism.

#3  We’ve known they take hostages since 1979. That’s why I don’t understand dual passport holders going there and being shocked when it happens to them. I was terrified when my half-Persian fosterling joined her father a few years ago to spend a month visiting the cousins who’d stayed behind in the Olde Countrie in 1979, especially as they were all Baha’i... and my fosterling was a typically progressive women’s libber, and it was the summer of the Green Protests (2014?).

“No need to worry, Aunt J,” the young lady told me. “Our Iranian passports say we’re Muslim, and I’ll wear a scarf over my hair while we’re there.”

I was very careful what I said on her Facebook page and mine until they returned safely. Especially when she posted about going with the local cousins to watch the protests. Someone who’d worn an American uniform should know better than to put himself in their hands.

Iraq
Iraqi National Intelligence Service Threatens to Sue 'Asaib Ahl al-Haq' Leader
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Iraqi intelligence, led by Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, on Monday slammed "harmful" statements made by a militia leader who accused the service of becoming run by a foreign security team.

Qais al-Khazali, Secretary-General of the Iranian-backed militia Asaib Ahl al-Haq,
...”League of the Righteous” was established in 2006. Currently its associated political party, Al Sadiqun holds one seat in Iraq’s parliament. Based in Baghdad with offices in various Iraqi cities and Beirut, its fighters (about 10,000 in 2015) are formed into the 42nd, 43rd, and 52nd brigades of the PMF and connected to Hezbollah and Kataib Hezbollah as well as responding directly to commands from Iran’s IRGC....
claimed in a tweet on Sunday that he had reliable information that Iraq had brought in an Emirati security team to manage the Iraqi National Intelligence Service, after the transfer of 300 members of the intelligence service, including officers, to the border authority.

Without naming Khazali, the intelligence service hit back at what they labeled as misinformation.

"The Iraqi National Intelligence Service regrets that it has to respond and clarify such unjust accusations from some political and media groups based on completely false information," read a statement from the service released on Monday.

The service also affirmed it will be reserving its legal right to sue any party seeking to undermine the integrity of its affiliates.

Headed by Kadhimi, the service stated that the unfair statements are "harmful for the reputation of the agency and the patriotism of its officers and employees."

The statement added that the administrative procedure of transferring the members was in response to the request of the Border Ports Committee, which needs the support of more security staff.

"Human resources at the Iraqi National Intelligence Service play a major role in earning national respect for the agency’s civility, discipline, professionalism, and patriotism," national security expert Hussein Allawi told Asharq al-Awsat.

He added that the service undertakes high-performance tasks such as combating espionage, confronting subversive groups that threaten national security, dismantling terrorist groups, and fighting organized crime.

"One of the primary tasks of the service is to face foreign threats," noted Allawi.

More so, Allawi explained that the service is responsible for protecting Iraqi diplomatic cables and ensure the safety and smooth flow of civil and military missions carried abroad.

"Relocating members of the intelligence service to the border authority fulfills the national mission for protecting and developing border crossings, which are a vital part of Iraq’s security," he said.

Netanyahu: I have signed 4 peace accords, and there are 4 more to come
Thank you, President Trump, and your son-in-law Jared Kushner.
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

More from the Free Beacon, courtesy of Besoeker:
Israel is pursuing four more peace deals with countries in the region and elsewhere, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Tuesday.

"I brought four peace agreements, and there are another four on the way," Netanyahu said. "I talked about one of them yesterday." He added that one such regional leader spoke with him by phone Monday night. The prime minister did not dispel rumors of other peace agreements in the works with nations such as Niger, Mauritania, and Indonesia.

The longtime Israeli leader also touted the four other agreements he forged last year with Muslim-majority countries in the Middle East and Africa—Bahrain, United Arab Emirates, Morocco, and Sudan—which thawed decades of cold relations.

Israel is inching toward normalizing relations with Saudi Arabia, a key partner in the coalition against Iran due to its size, wealth, and military force. Netanyahu met with Saudi Arabian crown prince Mohammed bin Salman in November. Under the Trump administration, senior officials hinted at prospects of budding relations between Riyadh and Jerusalem in the wake of the historic Abraham Accords signed in August 2020.

Abbas Suspends Funding to Yasser Arafat Foundation
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Paleostinian President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
has decided to cut off funding to the Yasser Arafat Foundation, Nasser al-Kidwa, who heads the organization revealed on Monday.

This came one week after Abbas dismissed Kidwa from Fatah.

In a Zoom meeting on Monday, Kidwa briefed his party about Abbas’s decision and revealed a document signed by Head of the Paleostine National Fund (PNF) Ramzi Khoury instructing PA Minister of Finance Shukri Bishara to halt all direct and indirect payments to the Foundation on orders from Abbas as of March 11.

The Yasser Arafat Foundation is an independent non-profit organization, established in 2008 to preserve Arafat’s heritage and legacy. It also addresses the development of charitable, humanitarian, social and academic activities that serve the Paleostinian people.

Kidwa, the 67-year-old nephew of the late Paleostinian leader Yasser Arafat, had earlier announced he would run on his own electoral list, which would consist of independents, business people and youth.

He also announced the establishment of the Paleostinian National Democratic Forum that would run in the elections, stressing that he was trying to put Fatah back on the right path.

Sacked prominent Fatah member Mohammed Dahlan had also announced he would field a separate list.

The parliamentary and presidential polls are set for May 22 and July 31, respectively, and will be the first Paleostinian elections in 15 years.

Russia expresses concern over deployment of Turkish reinforcements to northern Raqqa
[ALMASDARNEWS] The Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria has expressed its concern about the Ottoman Turkish forces sending military reinforcements to the al-Raqqa Governorate in northern Syria, and fortifying their positions there. The deputy director of the Russian Center for Reconciliation, Major General Alexander Karpovi, said on Monday:

"The Russian side is extremely disturbed by the transfer of military equipment to the Ottoman Turkish forces and the implementation of fortifications in points around the village of Ain Issa in the al-Raqqa Governorate.

These actions violate the memorandum of understanding and undermine the efforts of the two parties in resolving the Syrian conflict."

The comments by the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria came after reports surfaced over the weekend about the deployment of Ottoman Turkish military reinforcements and equipment to the Ain Issa countryside of northern al-Raqqa.

Ain Issa is currently under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), who have been repeatedly attacked by the Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces and their allies from the opposition-led Syrian National Army (SNA).

In late 2020, the Ain Issa countryside witnessed an increase violence after the Ottoman Turkish Armed Forces and Syrian National Army launched several attacks on the SDF’s positions.

The Ottoman Turkish Ministry of Defense has yet to respond to the Russian Reconciliation Center’s comments regarding the deployment of reinforcements to the al-Raqqa countryside.

Sixteen Years After the End of Syrian Tutelage, Lebanese Politicians Recall the Historical Moment
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] On the 16th anniversary of the withdrawal of the Syrian army from Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
in the wake of the Cedar Revolution, political parties and groups, who took part in it, no longer agree on anything but its slogans.
The revolution has turned into a popular uprising against all political authorities, including the so-called March 14 forces, especially with the deterioration of the social and economic situation.

In remarks to Asharq al-Awsat, Antoine Haddad, academic and former vice president of the Democratic Renewal Movement, said: "The moment of March 14th is historic and unique, unprecedented in the history of Lebanon. It is only comparable to the October 2019 uprising, in terms of size, diversity, and popular support."

But he noted that the "sectarian parties", which participated 16 years ago in the Cedar revolution, have committed the mistake of neglecting vital issues.

While the March 14 Forces have neglected the people’s demands for reform and fighting corruption, the forces active in the October 17 uprising are today ignoring the "issue of illusory sovereignty", which is mainly represented by the weapons of Hezbollah and the Iranian hegemony over the state, Haddad underlined.

For his part, the head of the Future Movement, Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri
...Second son of Rafik Hariri, the Leb PM who was assassinated in 2005. He has was prime minister in his own right from 2009 through early 2011. He was born in Riyadh to an Iraqi mother and graduated from Georgetown University. He managed his father's business interests in Riyadh until his father's assassination. When his father died he inherited a fortune of some $4.1 billion, which won't do him much good if Hizbullah has him bumped off, too....
, described the March 14 as a "homeland project", saying that Lebanon should not return to sectarian mobilization.

"The martyrdom of [former prime minister] Rafik Hariri and his lover companions created the March 14 movement, an exceptional uprising in the history of Lebanon, which opinion and politicians consolidated with their blood and sacrifices. It opened the doors of exile and prison, lifted tutelage and broke the barriers of sectarian and regional loyalties to restore the values of national unity and coexistence," Hariri said.
