State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby announces that Baltimore will no longer prosecute prostitution, drug possession, or other 'low level' crimes
"Crime Stats Plummet!"
[Blaze] Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby announced on Friday that the city of Baltimore would permanently suspend prosecution of prostitution, drug possession, minor traffic offenses, and other so-called "quality of life" crimes.

Mosby had previously announced the policy as a temporary measure that was allegedly designed to slow the spread of COVID-19 among the city's police force and prison population. However, in Friday's press conference, Mosby claimed that the policy had served to lower violent crime in Baltimore, and that it proved that her vision of "criminal justice reform" worked. Thus, the policy would become permanent.

According to NBC News, Mosby claimed during the press conference that since the implementation of the policy, violent crime had declined 20 percent and property crime had declined 36 percent. "Clearly, the data suggest there is no public safety value in prosecuting low-level offenses," Mosby said.

Of course these statistics reflect merely that police have made fewer arrests for these crimes, not that they have not happened. Notably, the city's homicide rate — which is difficult to fudge since homicides are virtually always reported — fell only very slightly from 2019, which was a record-setting year in Baltimore. Additionally, it should be noted that property and drug crimes were reported to have fallen nationwide in 2020, including in places that did not implement such policies, which suggests that the falling rate of those crimes has more to do with the existence of the pandemic (either in terms of reduced police enforcement or reduced criminal activity) than the implementation of any "criminal justice reform program." However, it is true that the nation overall saw a large spike in homicides, aggravated assaults, and gun assaults in 2020, and Baltimore did not.

Mosby, who has been a frequent and public critic of Baltimore police, claimed that the police force was on board with her program, and that they will partner with her in shifting resources to fighting violent crime and drug trafficking. "Our understanding is that the police are going to follow what they've been doing for the past year, which is not arresting people based on the offenses I mentioned." She also claimed that police will work with a local non-profit to help Baltimore residents find help for problems like addiction to drugs and homelessness.

Mosby's husband, Nick Mosby, is president of the Baltimore City Council, and the pair are widely believed to have higher political ambitions. Complicating these ambitions is a federal criminal investigation that has been opened by the United States Attorney's Office into the couple's finances, which is reportedly investigating alleged tax and campaign finance improprieties. The couple has denied wrongdoing, and according to a statement provided by their attorney, the Mosbys "are progressive change agents, making them unfair targets of unnecessary scrutiny by federal investigators."

Mosby faced questions about the investigation during her press conference, but according to NBC News, she refused to answer those questions, preferring instead to discuss her new policies.

In Aftermath Of Enemies List, School Committee Pledges To 'Silence The Opposition'
[DAILYWIRE] A quasi-official body tied to the Loudoun County, Virginia, public schools on Friday pledged to "silence the opposition," apparently referring to parents who question the schools’ adoption of controversial racial ideologies, as officials seemed to double down after revelations of a list, the stated purpose of which was to "infiltrate," "hack," and "expose" such parents. The LCPS Minority Student Achievement Advisory Council (MSAAC) wrote on Twitter and Facebook:

There is strength in numbers and we believe wholeheartedly, that united, we can and will silence the opposition. We ask that you please support our call to action by engaging in these 5 small, but impactful actions to help us in our mission of Advancing Equity Through Action!

The "call to action" consisted of items such as: "refrain from opening/clicking or sharing any article/tweet/facebook post from any group that seeks to sow seeds of untruths, hate and distrust."

Government Corruption
A No-Fly Voter List? Now There's a Grand Idea!
[AMERICANTHINKER] Welcome to cross-database search.

One of our team members said: "Why don’t we create a "No Fly List" for voters. Make it a NO VOTE LIST for known bad guys, fake addresses, dead voters, underage voters and other known fake profiles.

Here’s how it might work.

We load the voter rolls for elections as far back as 2008 for every state.

We cross reference with the death record databases, where available, the postal boxes (UPS, FedEx, Mailboxes ETC), the Postal Change of Address Databases and scores of other publicly available databases that show where people say they live. And when they said they lived there.

There are non-public databases we can rent that add a lot of data-richness.

Remember that attribute thing above for Betty Bopp?

People better not have voted in three states in the same election, or they are going to get flagged. The FBI won’t investigate unless they are white and conservative, but they will have been identified as a likely fraudster. Identified equals out-of-business for awhile.

Remember, our guys are fraud Sherlocks, so they think like the bad actors. That is a very valuable point of view.

What if we display the actual bad actors, state by state, in a real time, from publicly available database where anyone can log on and see their neighbor voted in three states, and twice in the Beto vs. Cruz race? Wouldn’t that be just fun?

It gets better.

Hey, this is public data. We are just enriching it with cross-database search. Just like the No Fly List.

We aren’t saying someone committed fraud, we are just pointing out they are 16 years old, their address is a P.O. Box, or a vacant lot, and they cast 11 ballots. Let’s not judge here!

If it’s public data that Billy voted in Texas and Louisiana, who cares? Well, Billy may care when cross-database search shows his neighbors he did it on the same day, twice each time.

Look, here’s Jack, he was born in 1776, maybe he knew George Washington! Wow, look at Sebastian, he has 761 people living in his two-bedroom condo. Pablo, we thought he lived in Texas; hmmm, he voted in seven states last year, really interesting. Dolores and Trish have been dead since 1936, but still vote in every election, that’s it, girls!

Fraud infrastructure takes decades to deliberately creep into the voter rolls. It is then leveraged in every election.

Sovereign bad actors would be forced to register tens of thousands of people, in many states in a few months. Finding enough fake addresses, vacant lots, creating non-persons at scale quickly is pretty hard; especially since they would all have to be new.

Wow, thanks DHS, what a great idea: A No Fly Voter List for known fraudsters and their scam addresses.

And by the way, we have really advanced the technology since the No Fly List.

The Payoff - Pelosi taps D.C. National Guard chief as top House security official
[Politico] Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tapped the head of Washington, D.C.,’s National Guard, Maj. Gen. William Razor Wire Walker, as the House’s new top security official.

Walker, a 39-year military veteran, will become the House’s permanent sergeant-at-arms, Pelosi announced Friday. He succeeds Timothy Blodgett, who took over the post temporarily in the wake of the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol.

The previous permanent sergeant-at-arms, Paul Irving, was pushed out of the job after Jan. 6, amid recriminations over the security failures that allowed a mob of thousands of Donald Trump's supporters to occupy the Capitol and delay Congress’ certification of the 2020 election results.

"His historic appointment as the first Black American to serve as Sergeant-at-Arms is an important step forward for this institution and our nation," Pelosi said in a statement. The California Democrat also noted that Walker had a long career as a special agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Kamala Harris Once More Involved with Questionable Figure, This Time with Anti-Semite Tamika Mallory
[Townhall] Vice President Kamala Harris has been making news lately for her meetings with certain figures which can make for quite the head scratcher. On Wednesday, Harris gave the opening remarks at the 2021 Black Women's Roundtable "Women of Power" Summit.

What's particularly noteworthy about that is the summit also features Tamika Mallory, a vocal anti-Semite who was too extreme for even the Women's March, which she co-founded. The summit is led by Melanie Campbell, who defended her when Mallory faced criticism.

Romney Wins 'JFK Profile In Courage Award' For Voting To Impeach Trump
[DAILYWIRE] Sen. Willard Mitt Romney, aka Pierre Delecto
...former governor of Massachussetts, the Publican nominee for president in 2012, now Senator from Utah. He is the son of the former governor of Michigan, George Romney, who himself ran for president after saving American Motors from failure, though not permanently. Romney has a record as a successful businessman, heading Bain Capital, and he rescued the 2002 Winter Olympics from the midst of bribery and mismanagement scandals. He is currently a trans Republican and a member in good standing of the Never Trump Party, attempting to assume the mantle of the late John McCain...
(R-UT) was chosen to receive the 2021 John F. Kennedy Presidential Library’s Profile in Courage Award for having been the only Republican to vote in favor of convicting former President Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
during his first impeachment trial.

"The 2021 Profile in Courage Award goes to Senator Mitt Romney for his vote to convict President Donald J. Trump in 2020, and his consistent and courageous defense of democracy," the JFK Library said. "As the first Senator to have ever voted to convict a President of his own party, Senator Romney’s courageous stand was historic. Despite facing unrelenting criticism and public antagonism following this vote, along with threats to his physical safety and demands that he be censured or expelled from the Republican party, Romney has continued to courageously defend the fundamental principles of democratic governance."

"Senator Romney’s commitment to our Constitution makes him a worthy successor to the Senators who inspired my father to write Profiles in Courage," said former Ambassador Caroline Kennedy. "He reminds us that our Democracy depends on the courage, conscience and character of our elected officials."

Mayorkas FIRES 32 members of his advisory council
  • [Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Mayorkas announced the shock move to 'reconstitute' the Homeland Security Advisory Council in a letter to the 32 ousted members Friday

  • He said their place on the council had ended effective immediately as he will set up a new panel in weeks

  • The DHS said it is aiming to create a council, which was mainly white men, that better reflects US diversity

  • Just three members have been kept on following the drastic purge: Chairman William Bratton, Vice Chair Karen Tandy and Chair Emeritus William Webster

  • All Trump-era appointees are gone including Ken Cuccinelli, a supporter of his hardline immigration policies

  • It marks an unprecedented move with former DHS officials saying never before have they known such a blanket overhaul to the council to occur

  • Ex-DHS boss Chad Wolf blasted it as 'not the right approach' while Rep. John Katko said it shows a dismissal of a 'bipartisan' approach

  • It comes as the Biden administration is under fire for the migrant crisis and thousands continue to make the journey from Guatemala into Mexico and north to the US each day
