[Breitbart] Federal and local law enforcement officials seized a record-setting load of cartel-connected methamphetamine in San Diego County, California. The drugs, loaded 20-foot box truck, weighed in excess of 5,000 pounds and are reported to be the largest seizure in San Diego County.
During the afternoon of July 7, federal officials observed a box truck enter the U.S. through the Otay Mesa Commercial Port of Entry, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California. Law enforcement agencies surveilled the truck to its destination in National City, California. The agents watched as the alleged drug smugglers unloaded the truck into a Dodge van.
At that point, law enforcement officers moved in and arrested Rafael Alzua, 37; Mario Contreras, 41; Ethgar Velazquez, 44; and Galdrino Contreras, 41, prosecutors stated. Officials listed all four suspects as residents of Tijuana, Mexico.
An inspection of the boxes revealed more than 5,000 pounds of drugs that later tested positive for methamphetamine.
The case is being investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, Border Crime Suppression Team, Homeland Security Investigations, and the United States Border Patrol.
The four men from Mexico now face charges of Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine. If convicted, each could face a prison term of ten years to life and a fine of up to $10 million.

According to Daily Trust, the attack, which occurred Thursday night around Layi village in Mobbar Local Government Area of the state, came barely 48 hours after holy warriors launched a heavy attack on Kuje Medium Security Prison in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) freeing at least 69 Boko Haram suspects and hundreds of others.
The ISWAP on Wednesday grabbed credit for the attack.
Top security sources who were briefed about the Borno attack told Daily Trust that the food and nutritional products consignment belonged to the United Nations ...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society... ’ agency, World Food Programme (WFP) and was on its way to Damasak.
It was part of the palliative by the WFP’ intervention for IDPs from Abadam and victims of the Boko Haram violence returning to their homes in Mobbar.
"The attackers were in four gun trucks. After heavy attacks on the convoy, they succeeded in intercepting four of the vehicles and emptied nearly everything from the vehicles," the source said.
It was also gathered that the holy warriors are now firming up their control of major roads and strategic areas in the southern and northern parts of Borno.
Intelligence sources in the area have reported that ISWAP members in four trucks have been deployed to Kareto village in Mobbar Local Government Area.
As part of their expansionist activities, the terror groups are said to have concluded plans to conduct eid prayers in some of the areas under their control, today (Saturday).

One of the sources said even though, Nigerian security forces have uprooted Boko Haram fighters from many villages and forested areas in Borno and neighbouring Yobe State, they are still lurking around in many communities.
"The holy warriors are fully mobilised for celebrations at many Tunbus (islands) on the Lake Chad and their enclaves in Sambisa Forest," he said.
Another source said with the commencement of the rainy season, Nigerian troops are constrained by environmental factors which is affecting their performance.

Though the Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi claimed that 64 Boko Haram members escaped, security sources told SaharaReporters that over 201 members of the group were unaccounted for.
“The prison management and Nigerian government are playing down the numbers of Boko Haram inmates for some reasons.
“Over 200 escaped not 64 as claimed. There were over 150 of them in that facility before, so they brought 46 from Kogi State after the Kanna Jailbreak. They were transferred to Kuje about 5 months back,” a top security source told SaharaReporters.
“Then another set of Ansaru members arrested by the police from Nasarawa State was taken to Kuje, about 17 of them. They were taken to Kuje around November last year.”

Muhammad Sani Yellow
Muhammad is another notorious commander of the deadly group. He was arrested alongside Abubakar Sa'id in 2012.
Mustafa Umar
Popularly known as Baa Umaru. He was the one who threw explosives into a plaza occupied by Thisday newspaper and two other newspaper publishers in Kaduna, Kaduna State.
Isma'i Yusuf
Yusuf was arrested a few years ago. Before his arrest, he was the terror group commander in charge of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
“His left arm was amputated by an explosion at the point of bomb-making before his arrest. He is their top IED manufacturer, very intelligent,” an intelligent officer told SaharaReporters.
Yakubu Abdullahi
Abdullahi was the leader of those who killed prominent Kaduna Islamic cleric, Sheikh Muhamman Auwal Albani Zaria, his wife, and son.
Abdullahi was the sub-regional commander of the Boko Haram group in Kano/Kaduna/Niger state before his arrest.
Some other escaped Boko Haram inmates are identified as Tafseer Salihu, Musa Abubakar and Bilyaminu Usman. One of the terrorists named Bukar Bukar also escaped but was brought back to prison by his lawyer.

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) has accused the Nigerian Army of killing one of its members, Jibril Usman Sarki, during an attack by Death Eaters on the Kuje Correctional Centre in Abuja where over 600 inmates were released.
The group disclosed this on Saturday in Abuja in a statement by Dauda Nalado on behalf of the movement.
The group said the inmates after the attack voluntarily approached some soldiers patrolling the town and introduced themselves as inmates and would like to return to the prison but the soldiers opened fire on them, killing Jibril.
The statement noted that Jibril was an inmate in Kuje prison awaiting trial before Justice Suleiman Belgore of FCT High Court for allegedly participating in Free- El- Zakzaky protest that took place on July 22, 2019 at Federal Secretariat, Abuja but was arrested in July, 2019 alongside 62 others.
IMN said despite the murder of Jibril, more than 40 Free-Zakzaky protesters being held at the prison voluntarily returned to the facility.
The group added that the whereabouts of three of their members was still unknown.

For the first time in years from the Islah special security forces, which were recently removed from the province, were not participating in the security patrols, the sources said.
The STC’s factions are seeking to tighten their grip on Shabwah, securing a supply line to the oil plateau, which is moving to topple it completely in the coming days.
These developments coincide with the continued march of TTC forces on the positions of Islah forces in an attempt to expel them once and for all from the southern provinces.

A 52-year-old Nigerian man, Rotimi Adeyemo from Carrickdale Gardens in Portadown, has been nabbed Drop the rosco, Muggsy, or you're one with the ages! for attacking his ex-partner, as he believed she cast a voodoo spell on him which caused erectile dysfunction.

Mr Justice Fowler who imposed an eight-year sentence revealed the sustained attack involved strangulation, kicks, punches and the use of a knife.
The domestic incident was further aggravated as it was carried out in the presence of the woman’s eight-year-old daughter, who begged Adeyemo to stop the attack on her mother, Fowler said.
The suspect appeared at Belfast Crown Court via a videolink with Maghaberry, where his sentence was divided equally between prison and supervised licence.
According to Irish Times, the man was initially charged with attempted murder, which he denied, but later pleaded guilty to a charge of causing grievous bodily harm to his ex-partner with intent.
She sustained multiple injuries including a collapsed lung, bleeding to the brain and fractures to her ribs, nose and jaw and spent three days in the Royal Victoria Hospital.
The court ruled that prior to the attack, which occurred on August 3rd, 2019, the defendant and the accused had been in a relationship which had ended.
Adeyemo started dating one of the woman’s neighbours which caused acrimony between the former couple, following this break-up.
Crown barrister Barra McGrory QC said that two days before the attack, Adeyemo called at his ex’s home and accused her of casting a voodoo spell on him that had affected his potency.
Saying it was the Crown’s case that this was a "key factor in the offending in terms of motivation", Mr McGrory said the woman told Adeyemo there was no spell and he should go to see a doctor.
At 7.15am on August 3rd Adeyemo returned to her house and, once inside, he launched an immediate attack which started by him grabbing her by the throat leaving her unable to speak or breathe.
Adeyemo proceeded to carry her by the throat to the kitchen where the attack continued. Threatening to kill her, Adeyemo picked up a knife with his free hand which he used to try to cut her throat.
The woman fought back in an effort to keep the knife from her throat and was put to the floor where the strangulation continued.
At this point, she managed to grab a plate and smash it over Adeyemo’s head, causing a bleeding wound, which she later told police caused Adeyemo to "completely lose it".
The attack continued in the backyard and was seen by neighbours who called the police. It was also witnessed by the woman’s daughter, who begged Adeyemo to stop.
The badly injured woman was also punched and kicked in the face, lost consciousness and came round while being tended to by police on her sofa.
The aftermath of the attack was captured on police body-worn footage and was described as "harrowing" by Mr Justice Fowler.
In this footage, the woman can be seen with serious facial injuries, while Adeyemo was recorded complaining she had put a spell on him to stop his penis from working.
While the woman was taken to the hospital where she was treated for multiple injuries, Adeyemo was arrested.
He told police during his interview that his ex-partner was into witchcraft, reiterated the claim about the spell and said he drank half a bottle of Baileys before going to her house. Bailey's? That weak-ass liqueur?
Mr Justice Fowler said that after reading a Victim Impact Statement, it was clear the violent mostly peaceful incident has had a lasting effect on her.
She now avoided going out and had become isolated, installed security cameras so she could feel safe in her own home and now suffered from nightmares, the judge revealed.
Mr Justice Fowler said he had considered submissions by defence barrister Gavan Duffy QC, which included Adeyemo’s clear criminal record, his good work record while living in Northern Ireland for the past 16 years, a complete lack of any prior domestic violence and the remorse he has since displayed.
The judge said he also accepted medical reports which suggest that at the time of the incident, Adeyemo was experiencing a mental health episode.
The attack was said to have occurred in the woman’s home where she should have felt safe and in the presence of a child, Mr Justice Fowler imposed an eight-year sentence and put in place a five-year restraining order.

The ISIS-run agency Amaq publicized a statement saying that the ISIS snuffies targeted the SDF leader in the town of Abu Hardub, 80 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor, with machineguns, wounding him, and later to succumb to his injuries.
A military source of the SDF in Abu Hardub said that the gunnies, who were riding a cycle of violence, fired on the 35-year-old SDF leader Bassam al-Suwaileh, who died of his injuries.
The source told North Press Agency that the attackers fled towards the depth of the desert in the town after the operation.
As a result, the SDF started a campaign to pursue the attackers, according to the source.
The countryside of Deir ez-Zor was an ISIS enclave which was liberated in 2019 by the SDF and the US-led Global Coalition. After that, a civil autonomous administration was formed to run the affairs of the region. This civil administration is affiliated with the AANES.
The AANES was first formed in 2014 in the Kurdish-majority regions of Afrin, Kobani and Jazira in northern Syria following the withdrawal of the government forces. Later, it was expanded to Manbij, Tabqa, Raqqa, Hasakah and Deir ez-Zor after the SDF defeated ISIS militarily.
Recently, the countryside of Deir ez-Zor has witnessed an increase in killing cases carried out against the SDF fighters, tribal leaders, civilians, and employees of the Autonomous Administration though the SDF carries out intensive security operations.
Two people, including a child, were seriously injured on Thursday while accidently being near the SDF checkpoint, which were attacked with automatic weapons by unknown assailants in the town of al-Shuhail east of Deir ez-Zor.
