#1 A big unknown is the opinion of the Russiaphone population in the east of the 1991 borders of the Ukraine.

Russia and/or it's designees have been in charge of much of this since 2014 and more since late March 2022. So the population has gotten a taste of how that group governs. No Pew study is possible in war conditions so we don't know how many people in these areas would rather be governed by Ukraine.

#2 A palpable point, Lord Garth. And just as the Russiaphones have had a chance to observe, so have the rest of the Ukrainians — who can assume less gentle treatment to encourage them to give up their ugly peasant dialect.
