Denver allocates $2MILLION in taxpayer funds to provide 140 homeless people with $12,000 in no-strings-attached cash - as a last-ditch effort to lift them out of destitution, combat soaring crime rates and clean up squalid encampments
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] At least they’re taking a scientific approach to wasting taxpayer money.
  • Denver has allocated $2million from the American Rescue Plan Act to fund the program, which will be run by the Denver Basic Income Project

  • The program, which in total will cost around $9million, is seeking to help around 820 people, but the $2million provided by the city will fund around 140 people

  • The program will be divided into three groups with 260 receiving $6,500 upfront then $500 a month for 12 months

  • Another 260 will get $1,000 a month for 12 months and 300 will get $50 stipends to complete surveys to help see how the program is working

  • The participants will be chosen at random but will largely derive from women, transgender, and non-binary individuals

#4  THE GRATEFUL POODLE
One day a benevolent physician (who had read the books) having found a stray poodle suffering from a broken leg, conveyed the poor creature to his home, and after setting and bandaging the injured limb gave the little outcast its liberty again, and thought no more about the matter. But how great was his surprise, upon opening his door one morning, some days later, to find the grateful poodle patiently waiting there, and in its company another stray dog, one of whose legs, by some accident, had been broken. The kind physician at once relieved the distressed animal, nor did he forget to admire the inscrutable goodness and mercy of God, who had been willing to use so humble an instrument as the poor outcast poodle for the inculcating of, etc., etc., etc.
SEQUEL
The next morning the benevolent physician found the two dogs, beaming with gratitude, waiting at his door, and with them two other dogs-cripples. The cripples were speedily healed, and the four went their way, leaving the benevolent physician more overcome by pious wonder than ever. The day passed, the morning came. There at the door sat now the four reconstructed dogs, and with them four others requiring reconstruction. This day also passed, and another morning came; and now sixteen dogs, eight of them newly crippled, occupied the sidewalk, and the people were going around. By noon the broken legs were all set, but the pious wonder in the good physician's breast was beginning to get mixed with involuntary profanity. The sun rose once more, and exhibited thirty-two dogs, sixteen of them with broken legs, occupying the sidewalk and half of the street; the human spectators took up the rest of the room. The cries of the wounded, the songs of the healed brutes, and the comments of the onlooking citizens made great and inspiring cheer, but traffic was interrupted in that street. The good physician hired a couple of assistant surgeons and got through his benevolent work before dark, first taking the precaution to cancel his church membership, so that he might express himself with the latitude which the case required.
But some things have their limits. When once more the morning dawned, and the good physician looked out upon a massed and far-reaching multitude of clamorous and beseeching dogs, he said, “I might as well acknowledge it, I have been fooled by the books; they only tell the pretty part of the story, and then stop. Fetch me the shotgun; this thing has gone along far enough.”
He issued forth with his weapon, and chanced to step upon the tail of the original poodle, who promptly bit him in the leg. Now the great and good work which this poodle had been engaged in had engendered in him such a mighty and augmenting enthusiasm as to turn his weak head at last and drive him mad. A month later, when the benevolent physician lay in the death-throes of hydrophobia, he called his weeping friends about him, and said:—
“Beware of the books. They tell but half of the story. Whenever a poor wretch asks you for help, and you feel a doubt as to what result may flow from your benevolence, give yourself the benefit of the doubt and kill the applicant.”
And so saying he turned his face to the wall and gave up the ghost.

A 1 way Denver to DC or Chicago ticket $75.
$50 for travel day meals.

On arrival, a one time $250 pre-paid and a trackable debt card with a Food and medical use only.

Total high estimate cost $400 x 140 = $56,000.00
plus a 25% Gov. Admin fee $14,000.00 = $70,000.00

Saving the taxpayers $1,930,000.00
If applied to all 820 people mentioned
820 x $400 = $328,000.00

Or taxpayer savings of $8,672,000.00
while allow politicians to still skim or steer 25% toward their donors.

In China with no safety net much harder to work minimalism. You just work enough to get the money you need then stop. Here with our safety nets the lifestyle is achievable. No to marriage, working regularly, purchasing a home or renting, having children, owning a car. They have tuned out and this is happening around the world. Stimulus checks went to drugs.

Department of Defense launches review of equity chief after disparaging posts about White people exposed
[FoxNews] The U.S. Department of Defense said it was "reviewing" a "woke" diversity chief after Fox News Digital found that she posted disparaging posts about White people on Twitter.
Good. Although they got exactly what they trained her to be, so it isn’t really fair to blame her completely for how she turned out.
The chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer at the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), Kelisa Wing, described herself on Twitter as a "woke administrator" and said she was "exhausted at these white folx in [professional development] sessions."

A spokesperson at DOD, Cmdr. Nicole Schwegman, said, "We are aware of news reports concerning an official at DoDEA. The office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness is reviewing this matter."

"Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts in… [DoDEA] are an important part of building and sustaining an organizational culture where all students, educators, and staff are valued and respected," the spokesperson said. "Our focus remains on ensuring military-connected students, their families, and our employees have equitable access to opportunities and resources that support student achievement and readiness for college and careers."

Wing's Twitter and her LinkedIn account appeared to be deleted or deactivated. Fox News Digital previously downloaded a copy of her professional account profile. It indicated she worked at the DOD for 16 years and was promoted to DEI chief in December 2021.

Wing has also referred to former President Trump as the "whole boy version of a Karen" and former secretary of education Betsy DeVos as "the queen of Karens."

When Wing was promoted to chief, the DOD said Wing "has been involved with diversity, equity and inclusion efforts for… schools over many years, authoring several books on the topic."

Fox News Digital found that some of the books contained misleading information.

For example, "What is Black Lives Matter?" said "almost all" the protests after George Floyd's murder were "peaceful." However, according to Axios, the pro-BLM riots that erupted in 2020 amounted to more than $1 billion in damages, "the most expensive in insurance history."

Wing's children's book "What is Anti-Racism?" contains misleading statements if not outright misinformation.

In one instance, the book said that some people say the word "race" comes from Italian or Hebrew. However, there is no word in Biblical Hebrew for race — that was later invented in modern Hebrew, according to Aish, a nonprofit organization with expertise on Judaism.

The book also said "the modern idea of ‘race’ was introduced by the National Party in Germany." The exclusion of the "socialist" part of the Nazi party name notwithstanding, the claim is misinformed. The idea of race was utilized in a pseudoscience called eugenics before the Nazis in Germany rose to power, and the Nazis included those debunked eugenic views within their ideology.

In a seemingly contradictory claim, the book also said that "race" was born on American soil.

"What is Anti-Racism?" also said that 15 to 20 million people died in the Holocaust. The Holocaust refers to the genocide against European Jews by the Nazis as part of the "Final Solution." In fact, 6 million Jews were murdered in the Holocaust.

Wing has also co-written a children's book about defunding the police, in which she explains to a young audience the differences between abolishing, defunding, disbanding and reforming police with anti-racist policies

‘The Indisputable Heavyweight Of Democratic Dark Money.’
Long. Lots and lots of connected organizations named, so worth going to the link to read the whole thing once you’ve organized a stimulating drink, a nice snack, and a comfortable chair.
[Tablet] The For-Profit D.C. Firm Staging America’s ‘Grassroots’ Movements: The great American tradition of spontaneous local protest is funded and staffed to a large degree by a ‘dark money’ network controlled by Arabella Advisors

Arabella’s arrangement is unique: A for-profit consultancy (Arabella Advisors) is the central hub; four (perhaps five) tax-exempt nonprofits (New Venture Fund, Sixteen Thirty Fund, Hopewell Fund, Windward Fund, and possibly North Fund, all founded and led by Arabella leadership) are the spokes; and countless ephemeral pop-ups branching out from the nonprofits.
Behind the closed doors of an unassuming philanthropic consultancy in Washington, D.C., is one of the most powerful lobbying forces in the United States. The Atlantic has called it “the massive progressive dark-money group you’ve never heard of” and “the indisputable heavyweight of Democratic dark money.” The Washington Post believes its potent lobbying arm is reason enough for Congress to enact forced donor disclosure laws, while Politico labelled it a “dark-money behemoth.” “The system of political financing, which often obscures the identities of donors, is known as dark money,” wrote The New York Times, “and Arabella’s network is a leading vehicle for it on the left.”

Meet Arabella Advisors, the brainchild of ex-Clinton administration staffer Eric Kessler and the favorite tool of anonymous, billionaire donors on the progressive left. Since 2006, the Arabella hub has overseen a growing network of nonprofits—call them the “spokes”—that collected $2.4 billion in the 2019-20 election cycle, nearly twice as much as the Republican and Democratic national committees combined.

Trump/Russia investigator hid ties to Russian billionaire
More on this story from yesterday.
[HotAir] If there is one thing you can count on with The Swamp it’s that every time they accuse a Republican of doing something, they themselves are likely to be guilty of that very thing themselves.

That may be the case with Charles McGonigal, the former head of counterintelligence at the FBI field office in New York City. In an exclusive report by Military and Defense Insider it was revealed that McGonigal appears to be under grand jury investigation for–get ready–improper ties to Russia.

McGonigal was no bit player in the Russia Russia Russia drama: he was one of the key instigators who got the ball rolling back in 2016. When he was at the FBI he was quite the bigwig, playing major roles in a number of high profile cases.

Before his retirement in 2018, McGonigal led the WikiLeaks investigation into Chelsea Manning, busted Bill Clinton’s national security advisor Sandy Berger for removing classified material from a National Archives reading room, and led the search for a Chinese mole inside the CIA. In 2016, when reports surfaced that Russia had hacked the email system of the Democratic National Committee, McGonigal was serving as chief of the cybercrimes section at FBI headquarters in Washington. In that capacity, he was one of the first officials to learn that a Trump campaign official had bragged that the Russians had dirt on Hillary Clinton, sparking the investigation known as Operation Crossfire Hurricane. Later that year, FBI Director James Comey promoted McGonigal to oversee counterintelligence operations in New York.

He has apparently been swept up into a grand jury investigation that is looking into his ties to a Russian billionaire and work he appears to have done with his representatives. It isn’t totally clear what exactly is being investigated and how central McGonigal is to the inquiry, but it looks pretty bad.

Late last year, according to internal court documents obtained by Insider, US attorneys secretly convened a grand jury that examined the conduct of Charles McGonigal, the former head of counterintelligence at the FBI field office in New York City. The Justice Department declined to comment on what the grand jury was investigating or whether it remained ongoing. But a witness subpoena obtained by Insider seems to indicate that the government, in part, was looking into McGonigal’s business dealings with a top aide to Oleg Deripaska, the billionaire Russian oligarch who was at the center of allegations that Russia colluded with the Trump campaign to interfere in the 2016 election.

The subpoena, issued in November, requests records relating to McGonigal and a shadowy consulting firm called Spectrum Risk Solutions. A week after the subpoena was issued, a Soviet-born immigrant named Sergey Shestakov said in a separate filing that McGonigal had helped him “facilitate” an introduction between Spectrum and Deripaska’s aide. The filing also states that McGonigal helped introduce the aide to Kobre & Kim, a New York law firm that specializes in representing clients who are being investigated on suspicion of “fraud and misconduct.” Shestakov, who has been identified on TV panels as a former Soviet foreign ministry official and former chief of staff to the Soviet ambassador to the United Nations, reported receiving $33,000 for the referrals.

It’s not clear that anything McGonigal did for the sketchy Russians was illegal, but he failed to report doing any work for them. That in itself may be a violation of the Foreign Agents Registration Act. Depending upon the exact scope of what the former FBI agent did he may or may not have violated the law.

There is little doubt that McGonigal’s ties to a sketchy Russian oligarch are clear evidence that he isn’t as squeaky clean as a top FBI official would like to appear. After all, one of the great perks of having had such a position is peddling the prestige of having had such a job. He certainly has been capitalizing off his status, and getting tied up with sanctioned Russian agents of the Kremlin might hit him in the pocketbook. Perhaps that is why he decided to hide his relationship.

It’s impossible to know at this stage whether McGonigal’s super-friendly ties to Russians played a role in his zeal to get Donald Trump, but these revelations certainly raise questions. Despite the constant repetition that Trump was Russia’s puppet, he was actually far more antagonistic in policy to Russia than Obama ever was. And we know that Hillary Clinton used her ties in Russia to stir up suspicion that Trump was colluding with Russia (she colluded with Russians to fake a narrative that Trump colluded with Russia; how ironic), faking the whole Steele Dossier narrative with Russian help.

Was McGonigal somehow involved? Did he have any contemporaneous or future financial interests? At the moment nobody but the grand jury knows.

#3  So the interesting thing here will be the "Classified" documents around the Russia fraud will now be put in an interesting position. The FBI will have to say these documents are classified in order to get him. The court will ask if they are true and the answer will be they are fabricated. Then they will get released and the FBI will be exposed for fabricating this fraud.

Worst October ‘Surprise' Ever: January 6 Committee to Resume Before Midterms
[Breitbart] Well, since Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger don't have to worry about reelection campaigns...
The House January 6 Committee is planning to hold at least one more hearing and release an early report into its "findings" before the 2020 midterm elections, in what is probably the least surprising "October surprise" in American political history.

Axios.com reported, with the credulous headline "Jan. 6 committee’s October surprise," the following "news":

The committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol plans to hold at least one more hearing late this month and release early findings and recommendations before the election.

Despite the panel’s long-stated goal of avoiding perceptions of partisanship or politicization, a noisy October could impact the midterms.

...

State of play: Members told Axios that while their final report will likely come after the election, plenty of news could be made before — and that the election is not a big factor in their scheduling.

Contrary to Axios’s acceptance of the presumption that the committee never meant to look partisan or political, the committee was the first in American history to reject the minority party’s nominees to serve on the panel, creating a one-sided show trial.

And while the committee’s last scheduled hearing was weeks ago, Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), the vice chair of the panel — who lost her primary election, largely as a result — has long indicated that hearings would continue into the fall of 2022.

Despite many stage-managed hearings — complete with Teleprompter scripts — and the lack of any contrary evidence or protection for witnesses, the committee failed to link former President Donald Trump directly to the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot.

Individual government scientists could also put their names on patents and collect royalties.

This created a new income stream for Anthony Fauci: royalties on the sales of all drugs developed through NIAID-funded research.
