Turley Explains How Dem ‘Tripped The Wire' On Joe Biden In IRS Whistleblower Hearing
[WIRE] George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said a House Democrat "tripped the wire" on President Joe Biden during a hearing Wednesday.

The legal expert argued that an exchange between Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) and one of the witnesses, Internal Revenue Service (IRS) whistleblower Gary Shapley, undermined the president’s denial that he ever spoke to his son Hunter about the younger Biden’s business dealings.

Goldman pointed to a moment in Shapley’s prior testimony in which he quoted Hunter Biden business associate Rob Walker informing the FBI that Hunter Biden told his father at a lunch meeting with executives at the Chinese energy firm CEFC, "I may be trying to start a company or try to do something with these guys."

"Now, let me ask you something," Goldman said. "That doesn’t sound much like Joe Biden was involved in whatever Hunter Biden was doing with the CEFC, if Hunter Biden is telling him that he’s trying to do business with them, does it?"

#4  Joe lied about discussing Hunter’s business dealings. The real issue is that Joe also benefitted from Hunter’s business dealings, ones that Joe facilitated with introductions, privileged State Department info and air travel. The result of this should not be an impeachment. It should be an impeachment inquiry, it is a different process than these hearings, a process on steroids. Impeachment without an inquiry will not yield the needed results. The inquiry process needs to be started on Biden, Wray, Mayorkas and Blinken. Miley might be subject to Court Marshall.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle asked to use Air Force One after Queen's funeral ‐ but got denied
[NYP/PageSix] Good
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tried to hitch a ride back to America on Air Force One after the Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral but were quickly rebuffed.

Sources told the Daily Mail Wednesday that it was an immediate no from the White House, adding that the request was a "non-starter."

"It would have caused such a commotion. It would have strained relations with the Palace and the new King," another source added, referring to King Charles III.

The White House and a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not reply for comment.

The Bidens had used the presidential aircraft to attend the late Queen’s funeral and were also in attendance at a reception for world leaders and foreign royals thrown by King Charles ahead of the service on Sept. 19, 2022.

Disney Prepares to Sell Off Third of Company
[BREITBART] Disgraced Disney CEO Bob Iger "put roughly a third of the company up for sale this week," Bloomberg Business reports.

According to the report, the sale announcement was a subtle but unmistakable one. Iger made the announcement during his disastrous CNBC interview last week, where he was caught lying with the false claim that Disney is not sexualizing children.

By declaring its cable and broadcast TV assets "noncore," the report says, Iger told the world ABC TV, the FX cable networks, National Geographic, and Freeform are all for sale. He’s also looking for a partner for the failing ESPN.

Bloomberg does the math. "Disney’s media networks generated 35%, or $24.8 billion, of company revenue and more than 50%, or $7.5 billion, of its operating income." Yep, that’s a big sell-off.

The problem — and Disney knows it — is that cable/satellite TV is quickly dying off. People are moving to streaming, which is much cheaper and, in many cases (Pluto TV, FreeVee, Tubi, etc.), entirely free. The billions Disney (and other entertainment/media outlets) has made from cable TV have nothing to do with merit. For nearly 50 years, upwards of 100 million American homes have subscribed to cable TV and paid a fortune for channels they never watch. The reason your cable bill is so high is because corporations like Disney earn a substantial piece of that bill simply for providing a channel on your cable package. You don’t watch it but still pay for it (same with CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
, MSNBC, MTV, etc.). Cable/satellite TV is one of the most lucrative scams in the history of American business.

Streaming puts an end to that. Tens of millions have canceled their cable TV and moved to streaming. Streaming companies, like Disney+, have to survive on merit now, which is why Disney+ is losing billions every year.

Moreover, cable and broadcast networks like FX and ABC are fading assets that will soon be worthless. Before long, there will not be enough cable subscribers to keep these outlets profitable. Additionally, nowhere near enough people actually watch these outlets to allow them to survive on advertising.

Per Bloomberg, Disney can sell these networks today for about $8 billion. Whoever purchases them will know time is short to squeeze them dry, and squeeze them dry they will.

"Iger’s comments should spook his peers," says Bloomberg. "If a diversified company like Disney is bailing on its cable networks, what does that mean for companies like Paramount Global and Warner Bros Discovery Inc.?"

#2  ...Disney is likely in worse shape than Paramount or Warners because Disney has had an unbroken stream of disasters. Right now they are on track to lose more than a billion dollars...which somehow Disney's board managed to overlook when they extended Iger's contract by two years.

I have a funny feeling that the Board may act to correct this issue. Eight billion dollars sounds like a lot of money, but even if he gets that (and having opened his pie hole a little early, he may not now) it's gonna go PDQ.

#3  Strange to think that in 10 years Disney may be another failed brand like Circuit City. While media is evolving, Disney has a 30% approval rating from the American people. Paramount can reinvent or adjust; hated media has no viable business strategy. The problem not being addressed is abhorrent content.

Content has to be fixed or even the parks are DOA. Nobody is flying across the country, staying in expensive resort and paying $25 for a peanut butter sandwich to enjoy the nostalgia of things they now hate. You would get better attendees at a Shawshank Redemption themed park at this point.

#4  Disney actually has done well lately based on their financial reports. Revenue and Income both increased in 2023 Q2 compared to 2022 Q2.

Partly this was due to raising prices at Disney World and for various other income streams.

Government Corruption
White House Claims Rule of Law Restored After DOJ Targets Trump
[BREITBART] White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem mschine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family...
restored the rule of law just hours after former President Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons......
announced being a target in the Justice Department’s January 6 probe.

During Tuesday’s presser, a news hound asked Jean-Pierre her thoughts on the weaponization of government against Joe Biden’s top 2024 political opponent in the wake of Trump’s announcement of a likely indictment in the January 6 case.

"Former President Trump received a letter from the special counsel that he’s being investigated for his role in efforts to overturn the 2020 election," the news hound asked. "House Speaker Kevin McCarthy
...the GOP house majority whip. He replaces Eric Cantor, who got whupped because his politix are like Kevin McCarthy's...
says the Biden administration has decided to ’weaponize government to go after their number one opponent,’—" Jean-Pierre cut the news hound off before he finished the question.

"Here’s what we have done," she prefaced. "The President respects the Department of Justice, their independence. He has been very, very steadfast on making sure that the rule of law comes back in this administration, comes back in the White House, and clearly the administration more broadly, and that’s what you have seen."

"I’m just not going to comment on this particular case," she added:

Tuesday morning, Trump announced "deranged" Special Counsel Jack Smith notified him that he is a target in the Justice Department’s January 6 probe. Trump said he must appear before the grand jury in four days, noting his appearance likely means Smith will indict him.

"Nothing like this has ever happened in our Country before, or even close...THIS WITCH HUNT IS ALL ABOUT ELECTION INTERFERENCE AND A COMPLETE AND TOTAL POLITICAL WEAPONIZATION OF LAW ENFORCEMENT! It is a very sad and dark period for our Nation!" Trump posted on Truth Social.

Many Republicans immediately voiced support for the former president.

"President Trump just increased his lead in the polls. So what does the Biden Administration do next?" House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) slammed the DOJ in his reaction to the news. "Weaponize government to go after President Biden’s number one opponent. This is not equal justice. It’s wrong, and the American public is tired of it."

Biden Keeps Bragging About the Economy but Polling Shows the American People Aren't Buying It
[Gateway] Joe Biden keeps talking about how great the economy is and trying to take credit for it but polling shows that the American people are not buying his song and dance.

Millions of Americans across the country are still struggling with the higher prices of gas, food and other basic items.

FBI told Hunter Biden investigator to duck Committee questions
[NYPOST] The FBI warned a supervisory agent who investigated Hunter Biden that he was expected to "decline to respond" to House Oversight Committee questions about the "ongoing" case involving the first son, a bombshell letter obtained by The Post shows.

FBI general counsel Jason Jones sent the letter Sunday afternoon, just hours before the recently retired agent was set to testify — even though a source tells The Post that the FBI knew of the planned Monday deposition for several days.

"[T]he Department expects that you will decline to respond to questions seeking non-public information likely covered by one or more components of executive privilege or other significant confidentiality interests, in particular information about deliberations or ongoing investigative activity in law enforcement matters," Jones wrote.

"You should instead refer such questions to the FBI’s Office of Congressional Affairs," the FBI lawyer went on.

"Consistent with longstanding practice, this will afford the Department the full opportunity to consider particular questions and possible accommodations that may fulfill the Committee’s legitimate need for information while protecting Executive Branch confidentiality interests."
