[Breitbart] Finland will close four crossing points on its long border with Russia to stop the flow of Middle Eastern and African migrants that it accuses Moscow of ushering to the border in recent months, the government said Thursday.
Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo and Interior Minister Mari Rantanen said the southeastern crossing points — Imatra, Niirala, Nuijamaa and Vaalimaa — will be closed at midnight Friday on the Finland-Russia land border that serves as the European Union´s external border.
It runs a total of 1,340 kilometers (832 miles), mostly in thick forests in the south, all the way to the rugged landscape in the Arctic north. There are currently nine crossing points with one dedicated to rail travel only.
“Operations of the Russian border authorities have changed,” Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo told reporters.
He referred to dozens of migrants, mostly from the Middle East and Africa, who have arrived in recent days at the Nordic nation without proper documentation and have sought asylum after allegedly being helped by Russian authorities to travel to the heavily controlled border zone.
This represents a major change since Finnish and Russian border authorities have for decades cooperated in stopping people without the necessary visas or passports before they could attempt to enter either of the two countries.
Finnish authorities said this week that Russia has in recent months started allowing undocumented travelers to access the border zone and enter crossing stations where they can request asylum in Finland.
The Finnish Border Guard says migrants have in the past days arrived mainly from Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Turkey and Somalia, and nearly all have arrived at the border zone on bicycles that Finnish and Russian media reports say were provided and sold to them.
Most of them have used Russia only as a transit country to enter Finland and the EU, officials said.
Some 280 third-country migrants have arrived in Finland from Russia since September, border officials said Thursday.
Finnish President Sauli Niinistö on Wednesday linked Russia´s actions to Finland’s NATO membership in April after decades of military non-alignment, something that infuriated Moscow, which has threatened Helsinki with retaliatory measures several times.
He noted that Finland must be prepared for “certain malice” from Russia due to its decision to join the Western military alliance as a result of Moscow´s attack on Ukraine in February 2022.
“Yes, we´re constantly being reminded (by Moscow) that Finland has joined NATO,” Niinistö told reporters during a visit to Germany.
Finland´s Foreign Ministry announced last month that the country of 5.6 million has concluded a deal on a new bilateral defense agreement with the United States. Among other things, the so called DCA-pact allows Washington to send U.S. troops and store equipment, weapons and ammunition in agreed locations in Finland.
[Breitbart] German police raided 54 locations across the country on Thursday in an investigation of a Hamburg-based organization suspected of promoting the Iranian leadership’s ideology and possibly supporting activities of Hezbollah in Germany, the government said.
The Interior Ministry said the Islamic Center Hamburg, or IZH, has long been under observation by Germany’s domestic intelligence agency. It said the activities of the group are aimed at spreading the “revolutionary concept” of Iran’s supreme leader which is suspected of violating Germany’s constitutional order.
Authorities are also looking into suspicions that it supports banned activities in Germany by Lebanon’s Iran-backed Hezbollah militant group, which has repeatedly traded fire with Israel across the Israel-Lebanon border since Hamas attacked Israel from Gaza last month.
The IZH runs a mosque in Hamburg. The Interior Ministry said German intelligence believes it exerts significant influence or full control over some other mosques and groups, and that they often espouse a “clearly antisemitic and anti-Israel attitude.” It said authorities are examining whether it can be banned, and material seized during the searches will be evaluated.
Wednesday’s raids were carried out in Hamburg and six other German states – Baden-Wuerttemberg and Bavaria in the south, Berlin, and Hesse, North-Rhine Westphalia and Lower Saxony in the west and northwest. In addition to IZH, the investigation is also targeting five other groups suspected of being sub-organizations of it.
“Our measures show that we have the Islamist scene in our sights,” Interior Minister Nancy Faeser said in Berlin. “I want to say very clearly that we are acting against Islamist extremism; we are not acting against a religion or another state.”
“But it is just as clear that we don’t tolerate any Islamist propaganda, antisemitic and anti-Israel agitation here,” she added.
On Nov. 2, Faeser implemented a formal ban on activity by or in support of Hamas and dissolved Samidoun, a group that was behind a celebration in Berlin of Hamas´ attack on Israel, following up on a pledge made by Chancellor Olaf Scholz shortly after the attack.
The IZH said last month that it “condemns every form of violence and extremism and has always advocated peace, tolerance and interreligious dialogue.”

The German federal prosecutor’s office said separately that about 20 locations in the Hannover region were searched on Thursday in an investigation of five alleged members of Hezbollah who are accused of taking leading roles in two local groups steered by the militant organization.
They are being investigated on suspicion of membership in a foreign terrorist organization, prosecutors said. There were no arrests.

During a House Homeland Security Committee hearing, Wray seemingly acknowledged that illegal aliens on the federal government’s “Terrorist Watch List” are ending up in the U.S. after arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border.
According to Wray, there are cases where the FBI is actively searching for such illegal alien terrorists who are now in the U.S. as a result.
Wray’s exchange with Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX) went as follows:
PFLUGER: Are there people that you are still searching for that we don’t know where they are in the United States? Of the known apprehensions … known or suspected terror people who match the Terror Watch List? Are you still searching for people in the United States who you know match the Terror Watch List?
WRAY: I’m not sure I can answer that here because it’s a constantly moving target.
PFLUGER: Director Wray, are there people who match the Terror Watch List who were apprehended by CBP that the FBI and other agencies are searching for in the United States?
WRAY: There are certainly individuals who are the subject of terrorism investigations that we are searching for, whether or not they are people who … I guess the distinction I’m drawing is that while there is obviously a lot of focus on the Watch List itself, one of the things … one of the areas that are a concern are individuals who once here, information later comes in that identifies them and those people–
PFLUGER: Are there people that you don’t where they are that the FBI is searching for today?
WRAY: Yes.
The admission from Wray comes as the latest Department of Homeland Security (DHS) data reveals that 13 illegal aliens on the Terrorist Watch List were encountered at the nation’s border in October — more than the total number apprehended from 2018 through 2020, when former President Donald Trump was in office.
Most recently, as Breitbart News detailed, an illegal alien — wanted for terrorism in Senegal — was released into the U.S. interior by Biden’s DHS after crossing the border. Soon after his release, the FBI notified DHS that the illegal alien was, in fact, wanted for terrorism.
The illegal alien was then arrested just blocks from One World Trade Center in New York City. He remains in DHS custody pending deportation.
The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) is currently suing Biden’s DHS for allegedly withholding “records reflecting the nationalities and group affiliations” of the nearly 300 illegal alien terrorists who have been encountered at the border since early 2021.
Last month, a DHS memo quietly admitted that the terrorism threat coming across the border is increasingly an issue for Americans’ national security and that officials “expect continued high numbers of migrant encounters over the next year.”

The military says that Capt. Shlomo Ben Nun, 22 years old, from Modiin, was killed in fighting overnight in northern Gaza.
Ben Nun was a company deputy commander in the 202nd Battalion of the Paratroop Brigade.
In addition, a reservist from the 75th Battalion, 7th Brigade and a reservist from the 9215th Battalion, 205th Brigade were seriously injured in the fighting in the northern Gaza Strip.
The fighters were evacuated to receive medical treatment at a hospital and their families were informed, the army says.

In a joint statement, the police and the Shin Bet report that the three men, all in their twenties, are residents of the Umm Tuba neighborhood in southeast Jerusalem.
Pro-ISIS materials and a large amount of cash were found during a police search of the homes of the three, who reportedly made contact with ISIS members abroad on social networks, pledged allegiance to the terror group, and were about to leave the country to join its ranks abroad.
The suspects have been in detention pending completion of the investigation, and the prosecutor’s office is expected to file charges against them in the coming days.

Literally tens of millions of people -- if not hundreds of millions -- are seeing this unravel right in front of their eyes. It's nuts. How does Israel recover?

The ministry indicated that 40 patients were martyred in al-Shifa Complex, including three premature babies, since November 11, due to a lack of fuel and the closure of the complex departments after the Zionist enemy forces besieged it, adding that there is no drinking water or food in al-Shifa Hospital, neither for patients nor for employees.
The report confirmed that the medical teams inside the al-Shifa Complex cannot move between the complex’s departments and buildings because an Israeli drone opened fire on everyone who moved inside or around the complex.

[HODHODYEMENNEWS.NET] A Zionist soldier was killed and seven others were maimed, in addition to two settlers, on Thursday in a commando shooting operation, the three perpetrators of which were martyred, in the occupied West Bank.
The Paleostinian Information Center quoted local sources as saying: "Paleostinian resistance fighters stormed the checkpoint with weapons and opened fire on the soldiers stationed there directly."
The Zionist occupation admitted that eight soldiers were maimed, one of whom was in danger, while the three perpetrators were martyred.
Later, the Zionist "Kan" channel reported that a Zionist soldier died as a result of his wounds in the shooting operation, explaining that the Zionist "Shaare Tsedek" Hospital announced the death of the Zionist soldier injured in the tunnel operation between Quds and Bethlehem.
According to local sources, the resistance fighters arrived at the tunnel checkpoint in a car, got out, stormed the checkpoint, and clashed with enemy soldiers, most of whom video clips showed fleeing in front of the resistance fighters.
Following the operation, the Zionist enemy forces deployed widely at the site of the operation, while Hebrew sources indicated the possibility of one of the perpetrators withdrawing from the site.

The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozen flavors of Christians, plus Armenians, Georgians, and who knows what else? It is the home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade.
