-Lurid Crime Tales-
Armed homeowner who defended family in driveway shoot-out says he's been stripped of gun permit
[Fox] A Los Angeles homeowner who used a firearm to fend off apparent would-be robbers at his home said his concealed carry permit was taken away just days after the residential-neighborhood shoot-out.

"After successfully defending my home and my family and my 5-month-old child, California has now decided to suspend my Second Amendment [rights]," L.A. resident and married father of one Vince Ricci said in a video for the NRA that was exclusively shared with Fox News Digital.

Ricci told Fox News Digital that the sheriff's office called him Thursday morning to inform him his concealed carry permit was "revoked," and he said it was due to him "yelling" at Los Angeles police officers when they visited his home to investigate the shooting three days after the incident. Ricci previously railed that the LAPD – the department investigating the case – carried out "sloppy police" work, including allegedly not picking up the casings scattered near his home as evidence.

The sheriff's office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment on the matter, and it is unclear if other factors played a role in the homeowner losing his concealed carry permit.

A gunfight broke out on Ricci’s front door on Nov. 4 just after the homeowner returned to his gated Los Angeles house after hitting the gym. Two armed men jumped his fence and tried to force their way in the house as Ricci was about to unlock his front door. Ricci’s wife, 5-month-old daughter and the family’s nanny were inside.

Obtaining a concealed carry permit in California has historically been difficult compared to other states, with Ricci previously telling Fox News Digital it took months for his permit to process.

Ricci, however, used his firearm on his private property. California law allows legal U.S. residents over the age of 18 to carry firearms on private property and residences without a permit or license.

Ricci said in the NRA video that the shooting is a clear self-defense case, noting he was confronted by two men "pointing guns at my chest" as he tried to make his way into the home.

Government Corruption
No Charges For Joe
[MSN - WashingtonExaminer] President Joe Biden is not expected to face charges over his mishandling of classified documents after a yearlong investigation, according to reports.

Special counsel Robert Hur has been investigating the president's connection in the mishandling of classified documents at multiple locations and is hoping to have a completed report about his inquiry by the end of the year, sources told two outlets Thursday.

ttorney General Merrick Garland appointed Hur in January to lead an investigation after classified materials from Biden's time as vice president were discovered at his former office at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington, D.C., and at his Wilmington, Delaware, residence.

Any decision to forgo charging the president may spark frustrations by former President Donald Trump and his supporters. Trump has alleged the Justice Department is being "weaponized" to bring charges against him as he fights off four criminal indictments during his 2024 presidential bid.

One of those indictments involves allegations that Trump mishandled classified documents, which likely will fuel claims of a double standard from his supporters if Biden avoids facing consequences for a similar offense.

Hur interviewed several Biden administration officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, White House political aide Steve Ricchetti, Biden’s former chief of staff Ron Klain, and national security adviser Jake Sullivan, according to the Wall Street Journal, which reported on the lack of forthcoming charges.

The report from Hur likely will criticize Biden's handling of the documents, but it could draw distinctions between the conduct of Biden and that of his predecessor.
Courtesy of NoMoreBS, CNN has more, including:
A decision to not pursue charges is likely to draw criticism from Donald Trump and his allies. They have long drawn parallels between Hur’s investigation with that of special counsel Jack Smith, who earlier this year brought charges against the former president related to his own handling of classified documents after he left the White House.

But key differences between the two probes abound, including the fact that the National Archives repeatedly tried and failed to get back documents in Trump’s possession. At one point, the FBI secured a search warrant to search his Florida estate.

Biden’s attorneys, on the other hand, quickly notified the National Archives of the materials found in his possession.
"Quickly" is a lie. It was weeks
Stunning corruption on display.

I mean what, exactly, is there to investigate? Were the documents classified or not? Were they in a place where they were not supposed to be or not?

But the real question is: Why in the hell were those documents classified? What is it that the government doesn't want us to know? Whose ass is being covered?

President Xi meets with Biden to take temperature
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

[REGNUM] The negotiations between the leaders of the United States and China, which took place in San Francisco, had been prepared for many months. In the public sphere, the impression was created that the APEC summit would become almost fateful for the entire Indo-Pacific region. However, the results are not particularly impressive.

From the very beginning, the APEC summit was a rather strange spectacle.

This year it is being held in almost the most problematic metropolis in the United States - San Francisco, which is filled with homeless people and drug addicts. The crime rate there is off the charts, shoplifting is de facto decriminalized, and street gangs stage entire raids on shopping centers.

The law-abiding middle class and small businesses are leaving this “liberal paradise” en masse. Since the start of the pandemic, public transit use in San Francisco has dropped by two-thirds, as has mobile phone activity.

The city center resembles a “zombieland” - boarded up storefronts of once prestigious boutiques and tent camps of drug addicts dying from overdoses.

The Chinese press made fun of the state of San Francisco - in comparison with some Shanghai, it looks very pathetic.

California authorities tried to “clear” the city of homeless people in advance. True, this only caused indignation among local residents, because this is being done only for the sake of foreigners. And once they leave, the camps, drug addicts and crime will return.

However, even this was not really possible to cope with. Therefore, the entire center was blocked off with barricades to avoid problems with street gangs or protesters. A lot of the latter gathered, and among them were opponents of China, greens, and supporters of Palestine. But they all sharply criticized the policies of the US President.

The meeting between Joe Biden and Xi Jinping took place in a mansion, as they say, “with history.” It was built at the beginning of the 20th century with money from gold mining, which was then done by Chinese workers brought to California. They worked in inhumane conditions and were subjected to terrible discrimination. This location was clearly not chosen by chance and was an attempt by the American side to show strength and put moral pressure on the Chinese delegation.

The meeting lasted more than two hours. At the same time, there were too many questions for discussion.

The main thing the US was interested in was China's help in resolving the opioid crisis. Drug overdoses kill 100,000 Americans every year. And the raw materials for drug production mainly come from the Middle Kingdom, and the Chinese authorities can block these flows by disrupting the logistics of drug cartels.

But in response, China is demanding the easing of sanctions against security forces that the United States accuses of violating the rights of Uyghurs.

In the context of the green agenda, both sides agreed to adopt a resolution calling for tripling the share of renewable energy by 2035, as well as reducing methane emissions. But this is only a symbolic declaration in the form of a recommendation and nothing more.

Regulation of the field of artificial intelligence was discussed in approximately the same way. Agreements could be reached to slow down the development of AI drones, again without strict requirements and conditions.

The Chinese side was more interested in the issue of investment - it was not for nothing that Xi Jinping took a large delegation of businessmen with him.

The Chinese economy is closely linked to the American one, and moments of crisis in the United States echo in the Middle Kingdom. Problems in the mortgage market and with banks led to negative consequences on both sides of the Pacific Ocean. Several large Chinese developers have recently gone bankrupt.

The situation with investments is also difficult: if 1–2 years ago the net inflow of foreign investment into the Chinese economy consistently exceeded $100 billion, now it has become negative for the first time in 25 years.

The current sanctions wars and the tightening of the screws in the US against Chinese banks and technology companies are having an impact.

However, the general background was not very favorable to achieving any economic breakthroughs.

A day after the meeting between Biden and Xi Jinping, new, even tougher sanctions began to apply on the export of chips to China. The United States views this area as a matter of national security and is trying in every possible way to slow down technological progress in China in order to keep up in the scientific race.

The issue of Taiwan stands apart.

It is not for nothing that at the meeting of the leaders of the two countries the topic of a possible conflict around the strategically important island was already directly discussed.

In January, Taiwan will hold elections that can only be described as fateful. A victory for US-aligned forces could lead to further military escalation and the threat of a major clash. The success of the pro-Chinese parties will allow Beijing to begin integrating the island against the will of Washington.

Xi Jinping's arrival in the United States is very significant in itself.

This is the first visit by a Chinese leader to America in six years. The last time he visited the Mar-a-Lago residence was to communicate with Donald Trump . Those times can be called truly herbivorous - relations between the United States and China were still quite stable. Although it was under Trump that they began to quickly deteriorate with the start of trade wars.

Now the meeting with Biden is taking place exactly one year before the election. This is an opportunity for the Chinese leader to take the temperature in American politics and clarify for himself where the United States will go. After all, Biden’s position is now more precarious than ever. In poll after poll, he is losing to his main opponent, Trump.

Moreover, Trump’s lead is only growing over time.

Electoral models show that if the presidential election were held tomorrow, Trump would receive more than 290 electors (270 is enough to win) and win easily. Against this background, Biden appears to be a real “lame duck” - with international crises that he is not able to resolve. And the upcoming elections, which Biden may well lose.

If Trump returns to power in November 2024, nothing good awaits the relationship between the United States and China.

For Trump, the Middle Kingdom is America's main geopolitical rival. He may well somehow come to an agreement with Russia on Ukraine and arrange de-escalation in the Middle East. But all this is just to focus on the confrontation with China. And on all fronts - from trade to military.

The current meeting between Biden and Xi Jinping is an attempt to at least seriously agree on something while it is possible. But it ended in a complete fiasco - there are already too many fundamental contradictions, and the anti-Chinese lobby in Washington is too strong to allow Biden to make any real concessions.

Much ado about nothing - this classic American phrase can be used to evaluate the outcome of the negotiations, interest in which has been fueled for so long.

Biden's statement following the negotiations with another insult to the Chinese leader, whom he again called a “dictator,” only personifies the actual failure of the negotiations. A successful summit certainly would not have ended on such a scandalous note.

The trend towards increased confrontation has not gone away - it will continue. The January elections in Taiwan will clearly end in a major international crisis. America will then plunge into its electoral cycle, which could end with a possible victory for Republicans and hardline opponents of China.

So Xi Jinping’s current visit to the United States may well end up being his last.

I use a different electoral model, one based on historical events, though quite controversial to some. The previous election showed obvious major electoral fraud on the part of the Dems. Nothing sustantial has been done about that. There is no reason whatsoever to expect that this fraud mechanism won't be used again. Using this historically-based model, Trump won't get enough "electoral" votes and will be easily defeated by anyone the Dems chose to nominate.

Biden has had three long years to deal with fentanyl which causes up to 100,000 American deaths a year and untold misery for the families of the addicted. Sounds one hell of a lot like an act of war to me. And only now does Biden get some vague promise from Xi to do something about it. Must be an election coming. But don't look for any fentanyl shortages any time soon.

Well, of course, the Dominion voting machines will be in use again. Our only hope is that Biden is so bad that Democrats won't be able to cheat big enough. No doubt they will adjust the machine's algorithm to compensate but will it be enough? Give democracy one more chance. Don't stay home. Vote and see what happens.

New York City to reduce police numbers, slash budgets due to billions spent on migrant crisis
[FoxNews] New York City on Thursday announced it is reducing police numbers and cutting budgets in areas like education as it continues to struggle with the exorbitant costs related to the "sanctuary" city's migrant crisis.

Mayor Eric Adams announced a $110.5 billion budget, saying cuts across all agencies were necessary with the city having spent $1.45 billion in fiscal 2023 on the migrant crisis and nearly $11 billion expected to be spent in 2024 and 2025.

"For months, we have warned New Yorkers about the challenging fiscal situation our city faces," Adams said in a statement. "To balance the budget as the law requires, every city agency dug into their own budget to find savings, with minimal disruption to services.

"And while we pulled it off this time, make no mistake: Migrant costs are going up, tax revenue growth is slowing and COVID stimulus funding is drying up."
