Pentagon official overseeing federal schools arrested in Georgia human-trafficking sting
[FoxNews] Stephen Hovanic allegedly solicited sex in a motel room with an undercover agent

A senior Pentagon official who oversaw federally operated school systems in the Americas has been arrested in a Georgia human-trafficking sting.

The Coweta County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) last week announced the arrests of 26 people, including Stephen Hovanic, former chief of staff for the Americas division of the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA), in connection with an alleged human-trafficking ring.

Hovanic has apparently held the position since 2010, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Authorities charged Hovanic, 64, with pandering – a misdemeanor in Georgia – after he allegedly solicited sex in a motel room with an undercover agent, according to FOX 5 Atlanta.

"This kind of operation is really important to us, because, number one, sex buyers are a huge problem in the industry. Without sex buyers, there wouldn't be a market for the females to continue to be victimized," an agent told FOX 5 on the condition of anonymity. "Second, and probably most importantly for all of us, is the victimization of these females. There's not a good scenario for them in this lifestyle, so the goal is to get them out of this lifestyle."

Fox News Digital reached out to DoDEA on Friday but did not immediately receive a response. The federal school system did, however, list Hovanic's former position as chief of staff for the Americas as "vacant" on its website.

The two-day operation occurred between Nov. 15 and 16, resulting in the rescue of six human trafficking victims, who have since been "moved to safety," the Haralson County Sheriff's Office in Georgia, which assisted with the CCSO investigation, said in a Thursday post on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"A total of 26 arrests were made, 12 for prostitution, 10 for pandering, and four for pimping. Three of the individuals are currently under investigation for human trafficking and drug charges," HCSO said.

The DoDEA is described as "one of only two Federally-operated school systems" that is "responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and managing prekindergarten through 12th grade educational programs on behalf of the Department of Defense (DoD)," according to its website.

The DoDEA operates 160 schools located across 11 countries, seven states, Guam and Puerto Rico. The school system employs about 15,000 people and serves nearly 70,000 children of military and DoD families.

"DoDEA is committed to ensuring that all school-aged children of military families are provided a world-class education that prepares them for postsecondary education and/or career success and to be leading contributors in their communities as well as in our 21st century globalized society," the website states.

#2  Monkey see, monkey do is a pidgin-style saying that was already called an "old saying" in 1900. The saying refers to the learning of a process without an understanding of why it works. Another definition implies the act of imitation, usually with limited knowledge and/or concern for the consequences.

Rep. Mike Gallagher Says FBI and CDC Refuse to Investigate Illegal Secret CCP-Linked Biolab in California (VIDEO)
[Gateway] In a revealing interview on "Sunday Morning Futures" with host Sean Duffy, Rep. Mike Gallagher, Chairman of the House Select Committee on China, brought to light a concerning issue of national security. The Wisconsin Congressman and former Marine, who served two tours in Iraq, discussed the illegal Chinese lab discovered in Wheatley, California, which the FBI and the CDC refuse to investigate.

As The Gateway Pundit reported in July, an illegal bio lab was discovered in a believed-to-be vacant building in Reedley, California in Fresno County on March 3.

City code enforcement stumbled upon the building in December 2022 when they discovered a garden hose running up into the building through a hole in the wall. In March, they obtained a warrant to inspect the property, and in April, the Fresno County Department of Public Health ordered an inspection of the facility.

Investigators inspected the building that contained the lab in July and found a room used to make COVID-19 tests and pregnancy tests. They also found over 35 freezers and refrigeration units that contained "thousands of bodily fluids, serums, tissues, and other medical items."

Commenters express sympathy for Tybee Island tickler
[MAIL] Commenters have expressed sympathy for a woman who was caught using a vibrator on a Georgia beach and then arrested by cops.

Christina Revels-Glick, who was 34 at the time, was approached by cops after families reported her salacious behavior on Tybee Island beach on July 1, 2021.

Bodycam footage from the officers who arrested her was released this week, showing her breaking down as she was handcuffed and marched away from the sand.

But the video, which has been viewed more than 2.5 million times, proved divisive.

Some viewers said it was only right to arrest Revels-Glick for her indecent behavior.

Others said the police were being heavy-handed and said they felt sorry for the attention the newly-released bodycam footage will have brought the 37 year-old.

'Tf... get outta here, arrest her for f***in what... give her a citation and be done with it,' one angry viewer declared.

California school board member who claims to be the 'Messiah' is detained after making chilling threats about 'being executioner for God and killing children'
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Why did they elect someone clearly mentally ill to the school board, of all things?
  • Jason Vassar, 50, who is a local school board trustee in Tuolumne County, made a series of chilling threats, according to court filings

  • He allegedly mentioned killing children as well as being the executioner for God and made racist and anti-government comments

  • It prompted school officials to get a restraining order against him and start the process of removing him from his role

Chief Noc-a-Homa, dead at 81
[WSOCtv] Levi Walker Jr., who camped in a tepee in the left-field stands at Atlanta’s Fulton County Stadium as Braves mascot Chief Noc-a-Homa for nearly two decades, died Friday, his family said. He was 81.

Walker’s family announced his death in a Facebook post. No cause of death was announced, but according to a GoFundMe page created in July 2022, by his daughter, Gwen Newman, Walker had been diagnosed with metabolic encephalopathy, a disease of the brain. He also had diabetes and had been on dialysis for nearly a decade, his daughter said.

"The man, the legend and great warrior of my life has crossed over to paradise with full restored health," the Facebook post read. "He is dancing in the sky and free of pain."

Walker was the third person to portray the Braves mascot after the franchise relocated to Atlanta from Milwaukee after the 1965 season. He held the position from 1969 through 1986, and his pregame ritual of going to the pitcher’s mound and praying for a victory.

From his tepee in the left-center field stands, Noc-a-Homa would celebrate a Braves home run with fireworks and smoke bombs, according to newspaper archives.

Walker was the first Native American to portray the Braves mascot after taking over the position in 1969. According to a 1969 news report, he traced his ancestry from the Odawa and Chippewa tribes.

The first mascot, Larry Hunn, of Chamblee, Georgia, served from June 1966 to October 1968. The second person to play the role was Tim Minors in 1968.

Walker, an insurance salesman, plumber and warehouse worker, approached the Braves in 1968 about having a genuine Native American portray the Braves’ mascot, Deadline reported.
Apologies if previously posted. He was a fixture of my youth, sometimes the only entertainment in old Atlanta Fulton County Stadium

Atlanta officer used Taser on church deacon after he said he could not breathe, police video shows
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] An Atlanta police officer responding to a minor car crash deployed a Taser on a church deacon who disregarded multiple commands to sign a traffic ticket, shocking the man after he repeatedly said he could not breathe, police body camera video released Wednesday shows.

Johnny Hollman Sr. became unresponsive during his arrest late on the night of Aug. 10 and later died. An autopsy determined the 62-year-old's death was a homicide, with heart disease also a contributing factor, and his family has called on prosecutors to charge Officer Kiran Kimbrough with murder. An attorney for Kimbrough, who was fired, says the officer acted lawfully.

The roughly hour-long video shows Kimbrough arriving at the scene of the crash and gathering information from Hollman, the other driver and a passenger before the confrontation.

Relatives have said Hollman was driving home from Bible study at his daughter´s house and bringing dinner to his wife when he collided with another vehicle while turning across a busy street just west of downtown Atlanta.

In the video, Hollman repeatedly insists the other driver hit him, but otherwise follows Kimbrough´s orders to move his car and stay by it. The encounter escalates after Kimbrough tells Hollman he failed to turn his white Chevrolet Silverado pickup correctly and was at fault for the crash.

Hollman immediately begins protesting, saying repeatedly, "I didn´t do nothing." Kimbrough tells Hollman he can contest the finding in court, but he needs to sign the citation. He also accuses Hollman of screaming and repeatedly warns him that he will be jailed if he doesn't sign.

Kimbrough's attorney Lance LoRusso said in an emailed statement Wednesday that before the officer arrived, the other parties in the collision called 911 to report Hollman was disorderly and they were concerned for their safety.

"Mr. Hollman violently and unlawfully resisted Officer Kimbrough´s lawful efforts to arrest him," LoRusso said. "The Atlanta Police investigation confirmed Officer Kimbrough deployed his city-issued TASER and used force in a manner consistent with his training and Georgia law."

In the video, Hollman says he will sign the ticket after Kimbrough steps closer to him. Kimbrough's body camera gets blocked, obscuring exactly what happens next, but the two men begin to struggle.

Kimbrough demands Hollman's arm, but Hollman says his right arm hurts. Within seconds, Hollman is on the ground, saying he didn´t do anything and asking the officer why he´s doing this.

"I'm an old man. I'm an old man," Hollman says.

Kimbrough yells at him to sign the ticket and says he is going to use his Taser on him.

"Put your hands behind your back now. Put your arms behind your back," Kimbrough shouts before engaging his Taser in what police have said was a "warning arc."

The tussling continues, with Kimbrough continuing to tell Hollman to put his hands behind his back and Hollman repeating over and over, "I can´t breathe."

The officer then uses his Taser to shock Hollman - a maneuver police have called a "drive stun."

The video also shows the aftermath of the struggle. Another first responder arrives and helps Kimbrough get handcuffs on Hollman, who is lying face down and is no longer fighting. Kimbrough rolls Hollman over, checks his pulse and tells him to sit up. But Hollman is unresponsive, lying on the ground with a bloody face.

When other officers arrive a couple of minutes later, Kimbrough explains Hollman protested when instructed to sign a ticket, resisted when told to put his hands behind his back and looked like he was going to hit the officer. Kimbrough said he punched Hollman a couple of times, stunned him and put him in handcuffs.

"I don´t know what´s going on with him now," Kimbrough says. "He´s still breathing, though."

The video´s release came after Atlanta Police Chief Darin Schierbaum fired Kimbrough on Oct. 10. Schierbaum said Kimbrough, who like Hollman is Black, violated department policy when he didn´t wait until a supervisor arrived to arrest Hollman.

LoRusso said Georgia law doesn´t require an officer to seek approval from a supervisor before making an arrest and said Kimbrough has appealed his firing.

Government Corruption
First Israeli American Released by Hamas – Biden Takes Much Needed Victory Lap
[Refuge] While it is good news, excellent news, the Israeli and foreign ’hostages’ are slowly being released by Hamas, the politics of the dynamic are abundantly clear.

Biden was under extreme political pressure to gain the release of "American" hostages held captive by Hamas and affiliates in Gaza as a result of the October 7th attack and kidnappings. Prior to Joe Biden taking a victory lap for the release of 4-year-old Abigail Mor Edan, an Israeli-American dual citizen, all of the key players in the region made advanced notification of the impending release.
Biden: "I can smell her from here!"
The background effort is also very clear. The aligned interests of the Muslim Brotherhood and the U.S. Biden administration is to maintain a gauntlet approach where the two-state solution is the only option for Israel, backing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu into a corner.

Qatari [think Muslim Brotherhood] Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani told Face the Nation the release was imminent. U.S. national security adviser Jake Sullivan also made the same prediction, as did several people associated with Gaza relief efforts and the larger agenda to create the two-state solution for Palestinian and Israeli citizens. In essence, politically Biden needed an American release, and that message was the driving force from Qatar to their allies in Hamas. Abigail Mor Edan was released as a result. Biden immediately took a victory lap.

BLUF:

Once you understand this dynamic, then you are able to see what happens in the background and how it aligns with the interests of the group.

Blunting any effort by the Israelis in the war against Hamas becomes a matter of taking steps that make it more difficult for the international community to support the Israeli side of the war against Hamas.

Who are the people really driving this narrative and foreign policy effort? The Obama crew.

Emphasis at the last para added.

Oliver Stone: The 2020 Election Might Have Been Stolen
[PJ] In a recent episode of his "Club Random" podcast, leftist comedian Bill Maher had film director Oliver Stone on as a guest. During the discussion, Stone essentially argued that the 2020 election could have been stolen.

Here’s how it came up. At one point in the discussion, they were discussing the COVID vaccines and the pandemic, and Stone argued that Biden was being authoritarian with his vaccine mandates.

“That's one form of it,” Maher replied. "I would say the form that Trump is threatening us with is even worse."

“Which is what?” Stone asked.

"Well, I mean, he doesn’t concede elections, you know, the elections only count if we win theory of government. Come on, you know, Trump has he still has not conceded the election. He has not conceded. He does not honor that,” Maher explained.

Now, it’s convenient that Maher didn’t acknowledge that Hillary Clinton still claims, falsely, that the 2016 election was stolen from her, but I digress. Stone’s reply to Maher took the conversation to a whole new level.

"I mean, do you know for a fact that he lost?” Stone asked. "I'm just curious."

Maher was clearly flabbergasted. Stone was being genuine with his question, and conceded not knowing all the facts, but Maher was quick to dismiss Stone.

“Is there a conspiracy theory you don't believe?” Maher asked him.

Inside the booming business of Amish cannabis farmers in Pennsylvania where a green revolution is underway: Growers hope to sell $3M worth of crops to mega firms in California and the Midwest by 2025
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Two Amish men dive into a deep sack of cannabis, scooping out handfuls of emerald buds before smelling them intensely.

It's not a scene you ever thought you'd see.

But in the beating heart of Amish country - Lancaster County, Pennsylvania - a green revolution is underway.

This week, DailyMail.com was granted exclusive behind-the-scenes access to a network of farms where Amish growers expect to sell $3million of their produce to big buyers across the US by 2025.

It is part of a nationwide trend in which the Amish, who once relied heavily on tobacco crops, are pivoting to more profitable cannabis cultivation, feeding a newly-legalized CBD market forecast to be worth $16billion in two years' time.

#5  My sister lived in Maryland and had an interest in breeding cats as a sideline. She told me some horror stories about Amish and Mennonite 'Puppy Farms' ...ugh. When you raise and slaughter your own animals you get a different attitude about some things by necessity.

Will you join the bid to transform a mothballed Concorde into a spectacular museum on the Thames?

#1  No, I won’t.

#2  Nope. I don't think the modern world deserves, or could even understand, Concorde.

#3  Why does every failed idea need a museum?
Posted by: ed in texas || 11/27/2023 13:49 Comments || Top||

#4  ...There are at least five or six Concordes preserved in museums that I can think of right off the bat (and at least three here in the states), but I think only two in the UK, one of which is the bird in question.

Putting it up somewhere that more people can enjoy it isn't a bad idea, and I hope they can figure out a way to pull it off. There's going to be two issues: first, corrosion control, and second, what's plan B if it doesn't work? Will the plane simply be towed off and scrapped?

#5  Museums and libraries are now propaganda factories that would make Goebbels blush. Time to withdraw all taxpayer money from all of them. If they can't subsist on admission revenue and private donations, they should auction off their "holdings" and close.

#6  Vulcan, please. Seriously, always thought 504, Lancaster, and Vulcan made a pretty nifty trio. How about rides up and down the Thames in replica 504s? I'd pay a silly amount of money for that. Yeah... I'll hold my breath.

Could be kinda cool with a virtual reality cemetery where you can walk around 100,000,000 graves.
