Britain
Osama's Brat denied Visa to Britain
52 year old Zaina Alsabah bin Laden,(aka Jane Felix-Browne) cannot bring her 27 year old alibaba toyboy home to Mother England.
The son of Osama bin Laden has been banned from entering Britain to live with his new wife because of fears that his presence would cause “considerable public concern”.
You know the thing about a Osama, he's got...lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll's eye.
Officials have told Omar Ossama bin Laden that there is evidence that he is still loyal to his father, who is held responsible for the deaths of 52 innocent people in the London bombings of July 7, 2005. Mr bin Laden, 27, is appealing against the refusal to grant him a visa and says that it is wrong to ban him from Britain on the basis of his parentage and inaccurate media reports about his beliefs.

He wants to live in Cheshire with his British wife, Zaina Alsabah bin Laden, 52, formerly known as Jane Felix-Browne. The couple were married in Saudi Arabia last year after a holiday romance but have been living in Egypt while waiting for Mr bin Laden’s visa application to be processed.

His application was refused by an entry clearance officer at the British Embassy in Cairo. The embassy said that the decision had been made on the ground that “exclusion from the United Kingdom is conducive to the public good . . . in the light of the character, conduct or association of the person seeking leave to enter it is undesirable to give him leave to enter”.

The officer added: “I note that statements made during recent media interviews indicate evidence of continuing loyalty to your father, and your presence in the UK could, therefore, cause considerable public concern.”

Mr and Mrs bin Laden have lodged an appeal to be heard by an immigration judge, claiming that the decision is “unjust and arbitrary”. They say there is no evidence that his presence in Britain would be a security risk.

Mr bin Laden left Saudi Arabia as a child when his father was expelled for his extremist beliefs and the family lived in exile in Sudan and then Afghanistan. He said that he left his father before the attacks on the US in September 11, 2001, and returned to Saudi Arabia, were he worked as a metals trader. The couple met in Egypt in September 2006. After their marriage Mr bin Laden divorced his first bride; his new wife’s application to live with him in Saudi Arabia is still being processed.

Mrs bin Laden, 52, who has been married six times and has three sons and five grandchildren, said: “In September last year Omar left Saudi Arabia for good because we couldn’t live apart any more – it was breaking our hearts. It could take the Saudi government years to wade through all their applications before they get to ours.

“We have a nice house in Cairo, but we have no real place to call home. I need my family and I need medical attention in the UK. Our only chance to be together was to live in Britain. We have vowed never to be parted. Omar will never take another wife as long as I am alive.”
Obviously she has no clue how creepy that sounds ...
Her husband applied for a married settlement visa in October last year. He was granted a visa to visit Italy in February and this month was granted a Schengen visa to travel freely within Europe. The couple have recently visited Austria, Belgium and France without any trouble.

Since being thrust into the public spotlight after becoming the first of bin Laden’s children to marry a Westerner, Mr bin Laden has repeatedly condemned the attacks on America and London. He said he could not condemn his father because he had no evidence of his involvement in terrorism.

Mr bin Laden said: “Who can know 100 per cent that my father is behind 9/11 or 7/7? I am not a judge and jury. I do not know if my father is a terrorist or was involved in the attacks.

“I want to come to England with my wife so she can be close to her children and grandchildren and she should also be near her hospital. The English are nice people and I am sure they will welcome me. People will understand I am not my father. I want to stop war, stop bombing and stop the killing.”

Australian terror jury sees blast video
A jury has seen secret video of an undercover policeman setting off an explosion while the alleged leader of a Melbourne terror cell watches. The policeman, known only as Security Intelligence Officer 39, said he travelled to Mt Disappointment by car with Abdul Nacer Benbrika for the explosives demonstration. He said he had been provided with Nitroprill explosive, a stick of gelagnite and detonators by Victoria Police Special Operations Group.

Operative SIO39, who gave his evidence to the Supreme Court from a secure location by audio, said that in the weeks leading up to the explosion on October 6, 2004 he had a number of conversations with Mr Benbrika and other memebers of the alleged home-grown terror cell. He was known to the group as 'Ahmet Sonmez' and he had been provided with a cover story for his meetings with members of the group. Operative SIO39 told the court he inflitrated the alleged terror group and told Mr Benbrika his job involved removing tree stumps using explosives.

Under cross examination from Remy van de Wiel, QC, for Mr Benbrika, SIO39 said he was warned by Mr Benbrika to be careful where he stored his explosives. Mr Benbrika told him the homes of some of the "brothers" had been raided but SIO39 reassured him by saying the explosives were stored at his employer's premises.

SIO39 said in one conversation Mr Benbrika told him he would not encourage any act of terrorism in Australia. Mr Benbrika said that this was because there was a a treaty between the Australian Government and the Australian people and those Muslims who had been given asylum here, the undercover operative told the court. The operative confirmed to Mr van de Wiel that in another conversation Mr Benbrika discussed the amount of explosives that would be needed to blow up a house.

On trial before Justice Bernard Bongiorno are: Mr Benbrika of Dallas, Shane Kent, 31, Meadow Heights, Majed Raad, 23, Coburg, Abdullah Merhi, 22, Fawkner, Aimen Mr Joud, 23, Hoppers Crossing, Ahmed Raad, 24, Fawkner, Fadl Sayadi, 28, Coburg, Ezzit Raad, 26, Preston, Hany Taha, 33, Hadfield, Shoue Hammoud, 28, Hadfield, Bassam Raad, 26, Brunswick and Amer Haddara, 28, Yarraville. They face charges that include intentionally being members of a terrorist organisation involved in the fostering or preparation of a terrorist act. The trial is expected to continue tomorrow.

Europe
60-70 percent of inmates in French jails are Muslims
Around 60 to 70 percent of all inmates in the French prison system are Muslims despite them making up only 12 percent of the country’s total population, according to a report released by the Washington Post on Tuesday.
Twelve percent? I thought the Muslim population in France was somewhere around six percent. The French census doesn't track ethnicity and religion, but twelve sounds a little high.
“The high percentage of Muslims in prisons is a direct consequence of the failure of the integration of minorities in France,” the report quotes Moussa Khedimellah, a sociologist who has spent several years conducting research on Muslims in the French penal system, as saying.
Now answer the question, "why aren't they integrating?"
However, French prison officials blame the high numbers on the poverty of people who have moved to France from North African and other Islamic countries in recent decades. “Many immigrants arrive in France in difficult financial situations, which make delinquency more frequent,” said Jeanne Sautière, director of integration and religious groups for the French prison system. “The most important thing is to say there is no correlation between Islam and delinquency.”
... and say it fast before someone gets mad ...
But Muslim leaders, sociologists and human rights activists argue that more than in most other European countries, government social policies in France have served to isolate Muslims in impoverished suburbs that have high unemployment, inferior schools and substandard housing. This has helped create a generation of French-born children with little hope of social advancement and even less respect for French authority, the report states.

In Britain, 11 percent of prisoners are Muslim in contrast to about three percent of all inhabitants, according to the Justice Ministry.

Research by the Open Society Institute, an advocacy organisation, shows that in the Netherlands 20 percent of adult prisoners and 26 percent of all juvenile offenders are Muslim; the country is about 5.5 percent Muslim. In Belgium, Muslims from Morocco and Turkey make up at least 16 percent of the prison population, compared with 2 percent of the general populace, the research found.

#3  WRONG: "The high percentage of Muslims in prisons is a direct consequence of the failure of the integration of minorities in France,"

RIGHT: "The high percentage of Muslims in prisons is a direct consequence of their failure to integrate in France,"

I'll bet my considerable savings that other immigrant cultures (e.g. Chinese or Poles) are not over-represented in the crime stats.

#4  This taboo was broken a couple of years ago by Le Point mag, which acknowledged the unackowledgeable (but readily obvious to just about anybody, from painful direct experience to just skipping through newspapers or watching teevee, even with the heavy msm self-censorship); in fact, this is even worse, as this is, a general percentage, if you take heavily islamized/africanized areas, the local jails are muslim at a 90+ rate.
Also, back in the olden days of SOS-racailles, the ground-breaking anti-islam website created after 9/11, there was a forum poster claiming to be a correctional officer, and who claimed that in the Paris area, 85% of the meals served to the sexual assaults convicts were muslim meals. Could be bogus, but it certainly seems plausible, judging from the names of the endless streams of rapes and similar crimes one can read or hear about.

Twelve percent? I thought the Muslim population in France was somewhere around six percent. The French census doesn't track ethnicity and religion, but twelve sounds a little high.

12% seems actually a bit low; one common alternate figure for the obviously fake "10% of the french population is muslim" figure would place non-european population living in France being around 20% (some say around 25%, this could be too high), with about 80% of them being muslim.
So, muslim would make between 15-20% of the french population. With credible writers and analysts going past the PC-biased official census organization's estimates and the Party Line, you have at least 300 000 new immigrants pouring into France a year, not counting children under 15 and illegals. This is why France jumped from 50 millions to 60 millions+ in about two decades (actual french population is actually not known quite exactly, probably around 63 millions), even with a birthrate that has not topped 1.9 since the late 70's.
When the Paris high-scholl students area demonstrated a couple weeks ago, the ethnic component was simply not deniable, about 2/3 of them were arab or black.
Bottom line is, population substitution is well underway, nothing is done even to CONTROL immigration (don't believe that stuff about sarko being tough on crime, tough on immigration,... he's just a socialist like any other mainstream french pol, he just has a conservative discourse), french identity is collapsing, the french nobility is looting the country while funding said population substitution through welfare and electoral clientelism,...

I really don't care, I'll be very, very happy to see France croak, I HATE France... let's just say I'm sad and angry for the french people and thre french Patria, but, then again, they brought it upon themselves ultmately.
By the way, you Evil Hegemons should get a look at that, because in many regards, you're undergoing the same process since 1965.

#5  RIGHT: "The high percentage of Muslims in prisons is a direct consequence of their failure to integrate in France,"

MORE RIGHT: "The high percentage of Muslims in prisons is a direct consequence of their commission of more crimes." And by that measure, they are STILL under-represented.

#6  ISLAM AS A SYSTEM

Adapted from Dr. Peter Hammond's book: Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat.

Islam is not a religion nor is it a cult. It is a complete system. Islam has Religious, legal, political, economic and military components. The religious component is a beard for all the other components.

Islamization occurs when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their so-called "religious rights." When politically
correct and culturally diverse societies agree to "the reasonable" Muslim demands for their "religious rights," they also get the other
components under the table. Here's how it works (percentages source CIA: The
World Fact Book (2007)).

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country, they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a
threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

United States -- Muslim 1.0%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1%-2%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among
street gangs:

Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. They will push for the
introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food
preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket
chains to feature it on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply (United States).

France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- Muslim 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate
goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they will increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions (Paris --
car-burnings). Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings
and threats (Amsterdam -- Mohammed cartoons).

Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 10-15%

After reaching 20%, expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and church and synagogue burning.

Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare.

Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%

From 60% on, you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and
other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels.

Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%

After 80%, expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide.

Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan -- Muslim 97%
Palestine -- Muslim 99%
Syria -- Muslim 90%
Tajikistan -- Muslim 90%
Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of "Dar-es-Salaam" -- the Islamic House of Peace -- there's supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim.

Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 99.9%

"Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family
against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; and the tribe against the world and all of us against the infidel." -- Leon
Uris, "The Haj"

It is good to remember that in many, many countries, such as France, the Muslim populations are centered around ghettos based on their ethnicity. Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. Therefore, they exercise more power than their national average would
indicate.

#7  Behold…the virtues of multiculturalism! Remember folks…when designing your next social experiment it’s best that you start off with ambiguities in both goals and definitions. You see…if, and when, your faced with empirical evidence of its failures, it allows for all participants to assign blame on their favorite doctrine, theory, or system. Now that’s what I call Amorphous…bayybee! This intentional obfuscation will allow your experiment to be…well…virtually perpetual.

First up for consideration is our Socialist government official. Naturally, he sees this problem as a product of “Classism”. I mean really now…he is a “Public Servant” after all.

“French prison officials blame the high numbers on the poverty.”

Next up is our “Leaders” from the disenfranchised group itself. Frankly, they see intolerance across the board but when push comes to shove they will always go with “Racism”.

“But Muslim leaders, sociologists and human rights activists argue that more than in most other European countries, government social policies in France have served to isolate Muslims…”

And finally our erudite Sociologist weighs in. He correctly views the cause of this problem as a product of “Culture”. However, he is an “academic” and considers the concept of “assimilation” to be coarse and vulgar. He prefers the term “integration”. That way he can assign blame on the host country as opposed to the immigrants themselves. Besides, it’s just more ill-defined that way.

“The high percentage of Muslims in prisons is a direct consequence of the failure of the integration of minorities in France.”

In conclusion, it’s never too late to start your own social experiment. Just don’t forget it’s a “Process” not a “Program”…and it’s up to you to make it that way.

#12  Thanks, Besoeker, that's quite the summary. It happens in front of our very eyes, yet we do nothing. The only response is to outlaw Islam, no matter what it is called. It is anti-civilization. France is in a worse position than thought. Is Europe gone ? Why do you no longer care A5089 ? No living relatives remaining ? Canada is a real concern. We can see the daily deterioration there in actual rights of citizens. The US maintains closed eyes. It is slipping drastically.

Germany: Islamist convert vows "holy war" - family gets counseling
One of the German Islamists suspected of plotting suicide attacks on soldiers in Afghanistan has called for ‘holy war’ in an online video, according to the German daily Bild on Tuesday. The paper announced the news in advance of its Wednesday edition, reporting that the film sequence shows 20-year-old convert to Islam, Eric B., declaring his plan to carry out a suicide bombing for his faith.

Bild also reported that security experts have taken the farewell video seriously and haven’t ruled out a possible attack in Germany.

The family of Eric B. is receiving psychological treatment, the paper continued.

In early February, Germany’s federal police agency (BKA) announced that Eric B. and Houssain al-M., both from Neunkirchen in the German state of Saarland, had travelled to Afghanistan at the end of 2007, where they are thought to have prepared for a suicide bombing there. Both are suspected of having ties to suspected terrorists arrested in the Sauerland region in the German state of North Rhine-Westpahlia last autumn that belonged to a group known as the Islamic Jihad Union.

According to information obtained by DDP, one of these suspects, Adem Y., was closely acquainted with the German Turk Cüneyt Ciftci from the Bavarian town Freising. Ciftci blew himself up along with two US soldiers and two civilians in a suicide attack on March 3 at a US base in eastern Afghanistan.

#1  Interesting stats, but I wonder how many are from single parent families? My ex-brother-in-law was a juvenile delinquent without any direction, with an alcoholic mother overwhelmed when her husband left her with four boys in the 60's and 70's. He made an E-8 as an enlisted man, the military giving him the discipline and sense of belonging he never had. He'd have been living on the streets or in prison if it wasn't for the training he got in the Army.

India-Pakistan
Insanity: Talking to the Taliban over and over again and expecting different results.

Britain hopes talks with Taliban will produce results

"We, the Taliban and Pakistan, and the British Prime Minister, have had a further meeting today and are agreed in recognizing that the question of Anglo-Taliban relations is of the first importance for two countries and for the World.

"We regard the agreement signed last night and the Anglo-Taliban Agreement as symbolic of the desire of our two peoples never to go to war with one another again.

"We are resolved that the method of consultation shall be the method adopted to deal with any other questions that may concern our two countries, and we are determined to continue our efforts to remove possible sources of difference, and thus to contribute to assure the peace of the World."

"My good friends this is the second time in our history that there has come back from Pakistan to Downing Street peace with honor. I believe it is peace in our time."

Neville Chamberlain: "Peace in Our Time", 1938 Revised and amended

LONDON, April 28: British Foreign Secretary David Miliband has lauded the political maturity of the people of Pakistan and said that they have voted for democracy and not Talibanisation, adding that he was impressed by the coalition government’s commitment on war against terrorism.

Addressing a press conference at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on Monday after his return from his recent trips to Pakistan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Iraq, Mr Miliband said that during his stay in Pakistan and his inter-action with officials, he never came across any impression that the newly formed coalition government was crumbling.

Rather, he said, he found a strong determination of the government to tackle various issues facing them, including terrorism, through a multi-pronged strategy based on political, economic and security reforms.

Responding to a question, Mr Miliband said there was a need to marginalise the terrorists and the Pakistan government had announced its intention to deal with the issue in accordance with its national interests.

He said he hoped that the decision to open negotiations with the local Taliban would yield results which would also lead to calming effects across the border.

The foreign secretary said reconciliation with the Taliban had to be looked in two different ways and whether this move would provide a platform for a lasting peace or lead to increased acts of violence. He added that he was clear in his mind that whatever steps Pakistan had taken was for the good of the country.

He said he would not necessarily subscribe to the White House view on the peace deal in the North-West Frontier Province and would wait for the ultimate result. He noted that jirga meetings had started and both sides had met to thrash out details that would be beneficial to all without compromising efforts to combat terrorism and militancy.

Mr Miliband spoke of his meeting in Peshawar with children who were victims of terrorism and said both the United Kingdom and Pakistan have shared interests in fighting war against terrorism. He said Britain was fully supportive of consolidating democratic institutions in Pakistan, rather than strengthening individuals.

He underscored the importance of regional stability and said both the UK and Pakistan were working together to realise that goal. “Terrorism is a problem in Pakistan and its government was making determined efforts to root out this menace through a series of measures based on economic and social development.”

He also pointed out that Pakistani diaspora in the UK had an important role in the development of their country of origin.

Mr Miliband said that during his talks with PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari and PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif, he found them determined to carry the country forward through their mutual policies.

He was hopeful that the issues relating to the judiciary would be settled within the given deadline of 30 days.

Protocols of the Elders of Hinduism
Brought to you by Group Captain (retd) SM Hali of the Pakistan Air Force
According to UAE Sharjah broadcasting Channel's presentation by Ra'ad Aman in the program titled Foreign writings, a publication All Hindus Wake up or Protocol of Hindus, authored by Dr R Singh, was introduced into the London book market for 5 days before it was withdrawn due to fear of harassment and discrimination against Hindus in the Arab world. The book provides a guideline for Hindus regarding treatment of Muslims, which evokes serious concern. Extracts and discussions on this controversial book are available on various websites and blogs.

There are some protocols mentioned in the book:

1. Hindus must consider the state of Israel as its most friendly ally due to its negative attitude towards Muslims.

2. Spread sinful acts and values within Muslim communities.

3. Hindu temples must be built in all places possible and to be visited every day. Also the statue of "Ram" to be placed in the work place.

4. Regular meetings are to be held to plan ways in working against Islam.

5. Distribution of drugs and prostitution to be carried out within Muslim countries and communities.

6. Sexual relationships with Muslim women are encouraged to ensure the production of Hindu babies within Muslim communities.

7. If you are a nurse or doctor, whisper "Om" into the newborn's ear.

8. Try to spoil or damage goods in Muslim shops if you are employed by them.

9. Become their friends, gain their trust and stab them in the back.

10. Turn others against them.

11. If you work in their homes, try to influence their children or wives' way of thinking.

12. Wear a black string around your wrist.

Hindutva and its practitioners have been active in targeting Muslims and other minorities since ages. The razing of the Babri Masjid, the threats to holy mosques at Mathura, Varanasi, and a number of other locations under the same pretext as that implied at Ayodhya are examples of the targeting of Muslims at trivial pretexts. Take the case of the harassment of the renowned Indian Muslim artist M F Husain. Madanjeet Singh, in his article Cultures & vultures: wake-up call from Vadodara carried by The Hindu of May 18, 2007, informs M F Husain painted beautiful images of Hindu goddesses Saraswati, Durga, and Draupadi in 1996 but "The Hindutva Parivar vultures pounced on the greatest of contemporary Indian artists, and offered large sums of money to anyone who would behead the artist, gouge his eyes, and chop off his hands. Another masterpiece depicting a scene from the Ramayana, titled Sita Rescued, offended the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal activists. They ransacked the artist's Mumbai home in 1998."

Let us examine another website: HinduUnity.org, which preaches an agenda of loathing for Muslims. The site proposes reunification of the severed limbs of Bharat Mata i.e. Pakistan and Bangladesh back with the mother country.

Additionally, it proposes that "Article 370 of the constitution, which smacks of a separate balkanised identity of Kashmir from the rest of the country, will be scrapped. The restriction on sale and purchase of property in Kashmir by Bharatiya citizens will be abolished. The Kashmiri Hindu migrants will be honourably rehabilitated. Their snatched properties will be restored and the deprived Hindu families will be compensated. Secessionist demands and propaganda in Kashmir or anywhere else in the country, or indulging in violent activity will be ruthlessly repressed. Secessionist demand will be a strict penal anti-national offence. Singing of 'Vande Maataram' everyday will be compulsory in all educational institutions."

In its "FAQ" portion, it presents disconcerting ideas; e.g. Q: Who in your opinion should rule India today? A: The perfect man for this job is Shri Bala Thackeray of Shiv Sena or perhaps Shri Narendra Modi (BJP) who have displayed a true dedication to the Hindu cause. Q: What are you views on Mohandas K Gandhi? A: Gandhi was a downright pacifist, without guts and scruples. As if to sink in the point, the site opens with a quote from Shri Nathuram Godse (Gandhi's assassin) justifying his deed that "Mohandas Gandhi's policy and action had brought rack and ruin and destruction to lakhs of Hindus."

Such protocol propagating hatred must be taken cognisance of. On one side there is a comprehensive dialogue for peace in progress, and on the other, venom is being spewed through publications and protocols issued for Hindus to annihilate Muslims and encourage ethnic cleansing and pogroms against minorities.

#2  For a comparison, here is what Hindus (well, one of them) think vis-a-vis Yuropeons, but it touches some aspects of the above PotEoH:

As a Hindu from India, the Westerners should appreciate the difficulties in managing 200 million muslims amongst us for over 1000 years. We have managed them and here are a few suggestions:
> Go back to Christianity and the Church. It is a good religion and it is worth defending. Defending Christianity is better slogan than defending an abstract like freedom of speech, democracy etc.
> Throw out the socialist scoundrels from politics and the left lunatics from the academics
> Force the Conservative Party to become Christianity supporting party; it is unlikely that the Church will exert any undue influence in the government and it is a an issue that can be remedied.
> Scrap the welfare pay outs except for the aged. Welfare only encourages the unproductives and undesirables.
> Make extradition easy and it should be for the entire family; the convict will be jailed say for a period of five years but the family will be thrown out immediately on conviction
> Influence the judiciary, by fair and foul means, to give tougher decisions. Establish fruitful liaison between the police and the judiciary.
> The police force should be brainwashed against muslims and should use violent methods to control. In India the police does and people brush aside the resultant Islamic jingoism.
> The Conservative party should accept national security as the main plank
> Re-install death penalty
> Once in five years there should be riots in which thousands of muslims will be killed. Sounds barbaric; the alternative is being consumed by barbarism. In India we retaliate and it is called constructive response.
> Separate them physically in secluded areas; that is better than to permit them to live in all areas, which they will contaminate. They will never assimilate and do not attempt at it. This will come in handy at the time of riots.
> Stop muslim immigration and substitute with Hindu labour; they are law abiding and will integrate admirably well. Hindus are the second richest and most highly educated minority in USA. There is a not a single case of a Hindu being profiled for wrong reasons.
> Teach the children to hate the muslims; they any way are doing the same thing.
> Consign all the human rights characters to Saudi Arabia, that is the place where they should practice their profession; tell them human lives are more important than human rights
> Get out of EU and preserve your right to protect your country and its culture. Earlier you had a country and culture to be proud of and now EU has converted the countries into anonymous entities
> In India we have a main stream political party for protecting the majority rights; create a similar one, since otherwise the secular fanatics will abandon the majority.

Constructive response, eh?

Dr. Ra'ad Aman is clearly an intellectual of the first water.

#13  Twobyfour,

As someone who lived in Asia for a number of years, I wouldn't be surprised if this was valid. My experience was that, in private, Asians were brutally honest and cut very quickly to the economic and political chase.

Muslims ARE a problem and Hindus have more cause than most to know just how bad of a problem they are. Hindus have no illusions about living in equality, peace and prosperity alongside Muslims; they know that if Muslims aren't kept firmly in control they will destroy the country and turn it into another failed entity like Pakistan.

This just looks like a very logical, if completely politically incorrect, description of some necessary steps to insure Muslim submission to the majority's wishes. I wish that in the U.S. we paid a bit more attention to what the majority wants rather than constantly bending over backwards to accommodate screaming (and often violent) minorities.

#14  Thaimble Scourge of the Pixies4707, I don't have much beef with what he said.

Defending Christianity is better slogan than defending an abstract like freedom of speech, democracy etc.

I disagree here as the abstracts like freedom of speech, democracy are a part and parcel of judeo-christian philosophical heritage. Can't separate them.

Influence the judiciary, by fair and foul means, to give tougher decisions. Establish fruitful liaison between the police and the judiciary.

Probably very pragmatic approach, but not sure these foul means would be appropriate. Works mayhaps ok in semi-tribal society, but may be somewhat detrimental to western one.

Stop muslim immigration and substitute with Hindu labour

A shameless plug? ;-)

Also, I have a problem with Hindu treatment of Dalits, who by a coincidence are converting to christianity in droves. Actually, no coincidence, Dalits see christianity as a great status equalizer. It raises a degree of animosity from Hindu side towards christianity--"how dare them Dalits to escape their place in society?" kind of thing.

Granted, this particular Hindu may be westernized to a great degree and probably does not see it that way. I visited some Hindu forums and you can find bigots in droves there, though.

Mahsud Scouts commandant woos militants through Quran
Col Mujahid Hussain, the Mahsud Scouts commandant in Khyber Agency, on Tuesday recited some verses from the holy Quran to appeal to the tribal people to join hands with the Pakistan Army against terrorism.
“This (Pakistan Army) is the army of Islam. This is the army of Pakistan."
“This (Pakistan Army) is the army of Islam. This is the army of Pakistan. But there are forces, which want to divide the army and the tribal people,” Hussain told students of a private school at a function.

Haji Namdar, the chief of Amar Bil Maroof Wa Nahi Anil Munker – a vice and virtue organisation enforcing Islamic laws in the area – also attended the function. The two men’s presence at the function comes days after the organisation attempted to kidnap seven Mahsud Scouts soldiers.

Punish: Haji Namdar told Daily Times that he had “punished” all those who attempted to kidnap the soldiers. “My soldiers recite the Quran everyday and say prayers five times a day. How can they fight for foreign forces?” Hussain said, as Mahsud Scouts soldiers and Haji Namdar’s armed militants were guarding the premises. “This Islamic army will guard Islam. How can this army go against Islam or join hands with anti-Islamic forces?” Hussain asked. He said anti-Islamic forces were “out to damage this army as enemies of Islam are real enemy of the Pakistan Army”.

“There is an all-out campaign to damage the army by political and military means,” the Mahsud Scouts commandant said, adding, “Some people are misguided and misinformed and that is why they are fighting against the Pakistan Army. They call it jihad but this is ignorance.” Hussain said he was admirer of Namdar’s “thinking”.

Later, a cleric urged students to learn modern sciences, to help invent new technology to defeat anti-Islamic forces, which he said were far better armed than the mujahideen.

Mudhat Mursi not as dead as thought
The Egyptian known as Midhat Mursi Al Sayyid Umar was supposed to be dead, killed in a US missile strike on suspected terrorists in Pakistan’s turbulent northwestern tribal belt on 13 January, 2006. Pakistani generals claimed he was one of several senior Al Qaeda figures slain by Hellfire missiles fired from a Central Intelligence Agency Predator at a clandestine gathering in the village of Damadola near the Afghan border.

But it seems that Mursi, a chemical engineer known as Osama bin Laden’s “sorcerer”, with a $5m US bounty on his head, is still alive and, the Americans believe, working in secret laboratories across the badlands of the tribal zone to develop chemical, biological and radiological weapons – and maybe even nuclear weapons – for Al Qaeda.

US intelligence officials were never convinced that Mursi, alias Abu Khabab Al Masri, died in Damadola and now even Pakistani intelligence chiefs concede that he’s alive and kicking. The Americans say that electronic surveillance of known and suspected Al Qaeda figures in recent months has turned up conversations in which Mursi is mentioned in the present tense.
Al-Qaeda's resident mad scientist doesn't appear to be a real productive fellow. There haven't been an awful lot of superweapons coming out of his lab: no epidemics devastating Denver, no cloud of poison gas over Galveston, no nuke taking out Newark.

US arms sale to Pak crosses $4.5 bn, report hints India may be target
Pakistan has procured weapons and military platforms worth over $ 4.5 billion from the US since the beginning of the war against terror in Afghanistan. The latest report presented before the US Congress lists details of arms deals between the two countries till March this year. It also points out that most weapons purchased are more suitable for a conventional war against India rather than counter-terrorsim efforts.

A report prepared by the US Congressional Research Service (CRS) says while bulk of purchases were made by Pakistan using its national funds, the country was also provided equipment worth $1.6 billion under the Foreign Military Financing (FMF) scheme that was meant primarily for counter-terrorism efforts.

However, analysts say that a look at the weapons purchased by Pakistan post-2001 under FMF clearly show that they are meant for a conventional role against India. The latest CRS report lists major FMF purchases like maritime patrol aircraft, surveillance radars and anti tank missiles that have no role in counter-terrorism operations.

Arms purchased by Pakistan under FMF include:

• Eight P-3C Orion maritime patrol aircraft ($474 million)

• 5,250 TOW anti-armor missiles ($186 million)

• 5,600 military radio sets ($163 million)

• Six AN/TPS-77 surveillance radars ($100 million, all delivered and in operation)

• Six C-130E transport aircraft (76 million, all delivered and in operation)

• 20 AH-1F Cobra attack helicopters (48 million, 12 delivered, 8 pending)

Similarly, supplies bought with a “mix of Pakistani national funds and FMF” include upgrades for its F 16 fighters and artillery guns that can be deployed in mountains and hilly areas.

• 60 mid-life update kits for F-16A/B combat aircraft (valued at $891 million, with $108 million as FMF)

• 115 M-109 self-propelled howitzers ($87 million, FMF of $53 million)

This list does not include the 26 Bell 412 helicopters worth $ 235 that Pakistan received under the Coalition Support Funds that are part of Pentagon’s internal budget. Other notable purchases listed in the report include the $ 1.43 billion deal for 18 new F-16C/D Block 50/52 combat aircraft that have been “paid for entirely with Pakistani national funds”.

The deal includes 500 AMRAAM air-to-air missiles, 1,450 2,000-pound bombs, 500 JDAM bomb tail kits and 1,600 Enhanced Paveway laser-guided bomb kits.

* 100 Harpoon anti-ship missiles ($298 million, 70 delivered);

* 500 Sidewinder air-to-air missiles ($95 million, 300 delivered); and

* six Phalanx close-in naval guns ($80 million).
You could blow a whole bunch of Talibunnies with all that stuff. Wonder why it hasn't happened?

Reverse-engineering is a lot harder than most people think, especially of US equipment. It takes a significant capability in metallurgy, electronics, ceramics, and a dozen other fields. It's not enough to have one or two people that know how to do this, it takes an indigenous industry that can duplicate what's done elsewhere. That's why the Chinese model of the T-72, the Mig-21, the Kilo submarine, and a dozen other weapons systems are inferior to the Russian-built models. They can duplicate the parts and pieces to a degree, but not with the sophistication of the original - at least, not yet. Pakistan may have the engineers, but not the mechanical capacity to duplicate US equipment.

While Pakistan doesn't have that capability, India probably does. At the same time, India is capable of designing, building, and equipping its military with locally-produced arms.

The Chinese are having a devil of a time reverse engineering the stuff though. The Russian stuff is easier and the Chinese can't duplicate a lot of it - the Al-31 jet engines for example.

Iraq
Failed Basra Campaign continues to succeed
BASRA, Iraq (Reuters) - Last week Haider Lefta took the boards off his shop renting out musical instruments and session bands for parties, and dusted off a wooden "oud" -- the traditional Arabic lute central to much Iraqi music.

The 26-year-old could scarcely contain his joy. He abandoned the business three years ago after Shi'ite Islamist militiamen bombed his shop, then threatened to kill him: music and parties were against Islam, the black-masked gunmen had said. "I'm so happy. Those extremists bombed my shop three times but now they are gone: I can get back to my work," he said.

After clashes with government troops, fighters claiming allegiance to Shi'ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr have retreated from streets they once ruled in the southern oil hub of Basra. Calm has returned to the streets. Shops and cafes have reopened as the pious young men who for years had been shutting them down -- declaring music "haram" (forbidden) and threatening to kill women for not wearing headscarfs -- have vanished.

Basra erupted into violence late in March when Shi'ite Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki ordered a military crackdown on militias who controlled much of the city. At first the offensive backfired, as government troops met fierce resistance from Sadr's Mehdi Army. Some troops refused to fight or even defected. Hundreds of people were killed in the ensuing clashes in Basra and other southern Shi'ite towns.

But after Maliki allies met Sadr's aides in Iran, Sadr ordered his fighters off the streets. In the weeks since, government troops backed by U.S. and British special forces and air support wrested control of Basra.

"I used to run a women's fashion shop in the town centre but had to close after death threats," said Azhar Abdul-Razzaq, a 40-year-old saleswoman, turned housewife by a militia crackdown on boutiques. "Now I'm thinking of reopening."

Tensions could mount again, especially in the run-up to provincial elections in October when oil-rich Basra is likely to be a key battleground.

The rise of the Sadrist movement shortly after the 2003 U.S. invasion surprised the American military and many Iraqis. Blending religious fervor, anti-Americanism and a populist message, Sadr appeals to millions of dispossessed Shi'ites who have felt abandoned by successive Iraqi administrations. "I defend the Sadr movement because they are nationalists who want to free Iraq from the occupier," said Abu Firas, a Sadr supporter. "Who else has any interest in helping the poor?"

The movement is popular in the Shi'ite south and in the Sadr City slum in eastern Baghdad, named after Moqtada's father, a senior cleric killed under Saddam Hussein.

On Friday, Sadr backed away from a confrontation with the government, asking his followers not to battle with its troops and to focus their anger on the American "occupiers."

Many who approve of Sadr's anti-American message and his organization's charitable works have baulked at the puritanical brand of Islam that some who claim allegiance to the cleric seek to impose.

A message scrawled in huge red letters on a wall in central Basra warns any woman who wears make-up or abandons the Islamic hijab (headscarf) of "severe punishment." Militiamen closed down not just brothels and nightclubs but also shops, university departments and beauty parlors -- and many Basrans say they've had enough.

Iraqis love parties but there were few to be seen in Basra's dusty streets in recent years -- traditional weddings were held in private for fear of militia attacks.

That is starting to change.

"My son is lucky: his wedding came after the military operations against the Mehdi Army and we were able to hold a party," said Kadhim Mughamis, 49, as he received guests at his house in Maqal, east Basra, once a stronghold of the militia.

Women who covered themselves are now more confident. Nahla Abdul-Latif, a journalist, has started wearing whatever she wants -- usually a shirt and skirt with no headscarf -- just as she did before militiamen seized control of her neighborhood. "I had to put on the hijab on because of them but now I feel more at ease taking it off. I hope it lasts."

University student Hassan picnicked with his friends on the lawn of his college for the first time in years, free from the armed gangs who used to harass them.

Even some people who once supported the Mehdi Army were not sad to see them go, saying too many members had descended into gangsterism and organized crime. "The situation turned out of control. They were penetrated by gangs. Every Mehdi Army fighter thought he was a commander who can do whatever he wants," said Abu Fatima, a bricklayer.

Surrounded by hanging instruments -- drums of various sizes, flutes, an electric piano, an oud -- Lefta ordered two workers to tidy up his dimly lit store. "I am going to refuse to close it again. It's my right and they won't stop me," he said, hours after unknown gunmen had tossed a grenade at the shop in a fresh bid to intimidate him. He and his musicians have celebrated the militias' retreat. "We stopped a wedding convoy in the street and performed music," he said. "Everyone got out and danced."

#1  Sadr knows that everytime his group sets up a roadblock, US choppers blow them to bits, and his goofs retreat to new roadblocks which...

rather the integration of islam and secular life that muslims have known for centuries - the one that in which the oud and other distinctive instruments thrived, for example is one thing - extremist, puritanical, Islamism, whether of the Wahabi brand, or in this case, the Khomeinist brand means misery.

Its interesting to note that the largest and loudest support for radical islamism is from muslims who havent experienced it. There seems to be nothing quite like living under it to innoculate against it (KSA being an exception, Wahabism representing a native strand of Islam there)

#6  LH

its true that the secular/Islamic culture has existed for hundreds of years in various countries; in fact once upon a time philosophy and wine thrived pretty much throughout the Islamic world (in fact many Muslim rulers of the past persecuted the Islamists of their day); that integration of secular and Islamic collapsed with the various Islamist (they could be called proto-Wahabiists) of that time

The thing is that the Islamist strain, even when repressed, may still emerge to destroy.

'Iraq must not isolate al-Sadr movement'
Iraq’s government will pursue its war on militias but must avoid isolating the movement of Shia cleric Moqtada al-Sadr or pushing his followers into the arms of groups bent on chaos, the deputy prime minister says.

Shia Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki launched an offensive against militias a month ago, sparking fighting with Sadr’s Mehdi Army that has led to hundreds of deaths. Some analysts say if the government pushes too hard - including carrying out a threat to bar the Sadr movement from October elections unless the Mehdi Army is disbanded - the cleric could launch a full-scale uprising.

Deputy Prime Minister Barham Salih said the government had to distinguish between Sadr’s mass movement and so-called “special groups”, which the US military says are rogue Mehdi Army elements backed by Iran. “This is a major political challenge for us as a government, to avoid pushing the followers of the Sadr movement together with the special groups,” Salih said in an interview this week.

“On the other hand, leaders of the Sadr movement must also help in distinguishing themselves and their followers from these bad elements who are trying to hijack their movement to use it as a cover for their malicious agenda.” The US military accuses Shia Iran of giving arms, funds and training to the “special groups”. Iran denies the allegations. Maliki says his crackdown is designed to disarm militias, but Sadr’s followers see it as an attempt to sideline the movement before provincial elections on Oct. 1. Competing in local polls for the first time, the movement could do well at the expense of Shia parties backing Maliki, especially because it provides food and services to poor Iraqis. A report by a US-based relief group this month said the movement was now Iraq’s main humanitarian organisation.

Hmmm...that's funny. I wonder why the "reporter" didn't include any quotation marks here. Doesn't this just beg for a quote?

Shia Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki launched an offensive against militias a month ago, sparking fighting with Sadr’s Mehdi Army that has led to hundreds of deaths. Gosh, I wonder why the "reporter" didn't give us any sort of breakdown on these deaths. Mehdi Army? US troops? Iraqi Army?

Some analysts say if the government pushes too hard - including carrying out a threat to bar the Sadr movement from October elections unless the Mehdi Army is disbanded - the cleric could launch a full-scale uprising. Ah yes, "some analysts". I think those would be those same "analysts" whom "reporters" always love to "quote".

AH HA! an acutal quote!! Well Ok, but saying that it is a political challenge to avoid pushing followers of the Sadr movement together with Iranian special groups is a fairly mild, no-brainer statement which is a far cry from being a quote supporting the premise being floated which is that Iraq must cower in fear over against the Mehid Army

I'm sorry, I just get a little bit tired of this agenda driven crap. It's always the same line of cowardice that always motivates their narrative: You can't do anything because if you do then you might make them reeeally mad. This particular reporters attempt to portray the Iraqi government as shivering in fear in the face of the superior Mehdi army is successful only in the sense that he arranged his words and paragraphs to make it seem that one quote from Prime Minister Salih supports his idea that the Iraq is somehow impotent to act against the Mehdi army.

#5  they must feel quite conflicted over there at the Pakistan Daily Times

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Hamas steals Gaza fuel
For "The People!™" I'm sure...
The head of the Palestinian Authority's gas agency confirmed Tuesday that Hamas gunmen had raided the Palestinian side of the Nahal Oz fuel terminal, stealing at least 60,000 liters of fuel meant for the Gaza power station in order to fill their own vehicles.
Allah helps those who helps themselves.
The Jerusalem Post reported Sunday that on at least four occasions over the past few weeks, Hamas militiamen confiscated trucks loaded with fuel as they were on their way from Nahal Oz to the city. Eyewitnesses said that the fuel supplies were taken to Hamas-controlled security installations throughout the city.

Gas agency head Mojahed Salam told Israel Radio that his workers were threatened at gunpoint and that he instructed them to obey the orders of the armed men so they wouldn't be harmed. "They took control of the fuel and fired toward the terminal in order to torpedo the flow of fuel to the Strip and to pressure Egypt into reopening the Rafah border crossing," said Salam.

Also Tuesday, an Egyptian security official said that Egyptian border guards discovered five new underground smuggling tunnels north of the Rafah border crossing. The official said two tunnels were used to pump fuel to the Gaza Strip due to the severe energy shortages. One of the tunnels was found in a kitchen with a pump connected to a hose running through it.
Well, doesn't that have "mysterious explosion" written all over it...
Some 50 jerry cans of fuel and another pump were found in the second tunnel which opened into an olive orchard 150 meters from the border.

Palestinian militants discuss Israel truce in Cairo
Palestinian militant groups were in Cairo on Tuesday for Egyptian-mediated talks on a possible truce with Israel that has already been approved by the Islamist Hamas.

The Palestinian factions travelled from Gaza, Damascus and Amman for two-days of talks with Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman, who is in charge of mediating Palestinian-Israeli talks.

Egypt has been serving as a go-between in truce negotiations as Israel refuses any direct contacts with organisations it considers terror groups. "Meetings with Suleiman are set to begin at 6 pm (1500 GMT)," Rabah Mohanna, from the leftist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), told AFP.

Other factions include the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP), the Popular Struggle Front (PSF) and Islamic Jihad, which fires most of Gaza's rockets at Israel.

Warty Nose warns Israel of alternative to truce
Senior Hamas leader Mahmud Zahar warned on Tuesday that Palestinian armed groups would use "every means" against Israel if it does not accept a proposed truce in and around the Gaza Strip.

Addressing hundreds of students at Gaza's Islamic University, Zahar said his Islamist movement was awaiting a response from Israel to a truce proposal, as several smaller Palestinian factions met in Cairo to discuss the plan.

"They can answer yes or no, but if they answer no, then an isolated, starving people, and the well-known Palestinian factions among them, will have no choice but to use every means against Israel to defend ourselves," he said.

Zahar stressed that the truce must include the opening of all border crossings into Gaza, including the Rafah crossing with Egypt, the only one that bypasses Israel.

The Rafah crossing has opened only a few times since Hamas seized control in June after routing forces loyal to Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas.

Before then, it was operated under an agreement between Israel and Abbas's Palestinian Authority, with European Union observers stationed at the terminal and surveillance cameras allowing Israel to monitor comings and goings.

Zahar said his movement would not tolerate the return of the EU monitors. "We do not accept the presence of internationals as a tool in the hands of Israel to open or close the crossing whenever it wants to," he said.

Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak had earlier cast doubt on the prospects of a truce in the Gaza Strip, saying Israel was locked in a showdown with Hamas.

"At this time we are engaged in a confrontation with Hamas, which is a better description of the current situation than to talk about a possible 'hudna'," he said in a statement, using the Arabic expression for truce.

Military intelligence chief Major General Amos Yadlin told Israeli radios that the army was on alert for attacks from Gaza aimed at marring the Jewish state's 60th anniversary celebrations due to start on May 8.

Israeli troops killed at least seven Palestinians during an operation in northern Gaza on Monday, including a mother and her four children, all under the age of six, who were killed when a missile struck near their home.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Amr Moussa to return to Lebanon for new talks
Arab League chief Amr Mussa is heading back to Beirut on Thursday to meet with key political figures in a fresh bid to find a solution Lebanon's protracted political crisis. "I will meet with figures from the opposition and the (parliamentary) majority with regards to the implementation of the Arab initiative to reach a compromise in the Lebanese political crisis," Mussa told AFP.

Mussa has made several previous visits to the country, which has been mired in political deadlock and without a president since November when former president Emile Lahoud stepped down at the end of his term.

"I hope that this election takes place at any moment. The important thing is that Lebanon does not stay without a head of state," Mussa added.

While the ruling coalition, backed by the West and most Arab states, and the Hezbollah-led opposition, supported by Syria and Iran, have agreed to the election of consensus candidate and army chief Michel Sleiman, the two sides disagree on the make-up of the new cabinet.

Lebanon's parliament speaker and opposition leader Nabih Berri has offered to host a dialogue to address the issues over the formation of a national unity government and a new electoral law for the 2009 legislative elections.

When asked about Berri's initiative, Mussa said, "We support dialogue and see it as part of the Arab initiative" to break the Lebanese deadlock."

Mussa will be speaking at the Arab Economic Forum in Beirut this weekend, but will stay in the country for three days to meet with key figures including Berri, Prime Minister Fuad Siniora, Christian opposition leader Michel Aoun and the head of the parliamentary majority coalition, Saad Hariri.

The Lebanese crisis led several Arab leaders to boycott the Arab summit in Damascus last month over what they described as Syrian meddling in Lebanese politics.
