Turkey tells Syrian rebels they will fight Russians in Libya – report
Anybody tell Vlad?
[AhvalNews] To boost motivation, Turkey is telling Syrian rebels it is sending to Libya they will fight Russians, the Investigative Journal said on Wednesday, citing sources in Turkish-backed Syrian National Army.
...now known to the world as “Turks’ Mercs”. This is not a compliment...
"There are Russians here," said a 21-year-old Syrian mercenary from Kafr Nabl, a town in Syria's Idlib province. "The Turks confirmed this to us. I wouldn't even hurt a Libyan here. But if I find a Russian, I will put a stick up his ass."

The Syrian fighter told the Investigative Journal that he had not seen much fighting so far, but was promised that a major offensive would start soon. "With the help of the Turkish forces and their equipment, we will defeat the Russians," he said.
*Snicker* Suuuuurrre you will, lad. Here, have a golden key to the gates of Paradise. Be sure to wear it around your neck at all times, so that even if all your arms and legs are blown off you’ll be able to open the gates when you arrive.
"Of course, there are no Russian soldiers there. If the Turks tell them there are Russian troops in Libya, and that the [Syrian rebels] will get to fight them, they believe they are fighting the same enemy that is destroying their cities in Syria," another SNA source in Idlib told the Investigative Journal. "But of course, this is a lie, and Libya is not Syria. But these mercenaries believe whatever Turkey tells them."

Turkey rebranded Syrian rebel factions formerly known as Free Syrian Army as the SNA last year, before launching a military offensive in northern Syria in October.

The Turkish government backs the U.N.-recognised Government of National Accord (GNA) in Tripoli, which has been trying to fend off an assault by General Khalifa Haftar's Libyan National Army (LNA), a self-styled government that controls much of eastern and southern Libya.

Turkey started sending military personnel to Libya, after the Turkish parliament granted authorisation in early January.

How many Turks' Mercs' smirks
Could a Turk Merc twerk
If the Ur-Turk's dirk-work were to smert-ferk jerks?

An Ur-Turk jerk could bork
With a turk-merc pitchfork
Such turds of Kurds
And poops of troops
That make Yip-Yippy dip-dippy

The Grand Turk
US halts anti-PKK drone intelligence sharing with Turkey
[Rudaw] The US has stopped sharing intelligence on the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) obtained using drones flying over the mountains of northern Iraq in response to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire...
’s unilateral incursion into Kurdish-controlled northern Syria last October, a number of US and Ottoman Turkish officials confirmed on Wednesday.

Operation Nomad Shadow was an unreported program established by the US and Turkey in 2007 to share intelligence on the PKK. Armed drones flew from the Incirlik base close to the southern Ottoman Turkish city of Adana, across the border and over the mountains of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region - where the PKK is headquartered. Gathered information was fed to an intelligence unit called Fusion Cell, manned by American and Ottoman Turkish personnel to use against the Kurdish guerrilla group.

Homeland Security Suspends Enrollment of New Yorkers in Global Entry
[WSJ] The Department of Homeland Security is suspending enrollment in Global Entry and other trusted-traveler programs for New York residents in response to the state’s so-called sanctuary policies to safeguard immigrants from deportation, the acting chief of the department said.

Chad Wolf announced the decision in a Fox News interview Wednesday, a day after President Trump devoted several minutes of his State of the Union address to excoriating sanctuary jurisdictions, which limit law-enforcement cooperation with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Mr. Trump said such jurisdictions "release dangerous criminal aliens to prey upon the public," and called on Congress to pass a law imposing civil penalties on cities and states that decline to cooperate with federal immigration officials.

Mr. Wolf said in the interview that DHS will immediately stop accepting new applications from New York state residents to enroll or re-enroll in some of the agency’s trusted-traveler programs, including Global Entry, which affords participating U.S. citizens expedited entry into the U.S.

"This is obviously political retaliation by the federal government and we’re going to review our legal options," said Richard Azzopardi, a senior adviser to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat.

New York passed a law late last year permitting illegal immigrants to apply for driver’s licenses and shielding state driver’s license records from ICE and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which administers several trusted-traveler programs.
Because California gave DL's to Illegals, I had to get a Real ID (birth cert., proof of residence, US Passport, etc.) or use my passport to travel to some states domestically. Not an issue

Iraq
Baghdad tells military officials to minimize reliance on US
[IsraelTimes] The Iraqi government has told its military not to seek assistance from the US-led coalition in operations against the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
jihadist group, two senior Iraqi military officials say, in the latest tensions between Washington and Baghdad after an American strike killed a top Iranian general and Iraqi militia commander.

Officially, the Iraqi military announced January 30 that it and the coalition resumed joint military operations after a three-week halt. The pause was called amid soaring tensions following the Jan. 3 US Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
ordered by US President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
that killed Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani
and senior Iraqi militia leader Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

But in practice, Iraqis are seeking to minimize coalition assistance against IS, based on government orders, two Iraqi military officials and one militia official said this week.
Good. Die on your own or win.
"After the killing of Soleimani, the Iraqi government decided to inform us formally not to cooperate and not to seek assistance from the US-led international coalition in any operation," a senior military intelligence official tells The News Agency that Dare Not be Named.

The US-led coalition paused its mission to fight IS in Iraq on January 5 in the wake of the strike. That same day Shiite politicians, irate by what they called a flagrant violation of illusory sovereignty, pushed a non-binding resolution requesting that the government cancel legal agreements that provide the basis for US troop presence in the country.

Outgoing Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi has stated publicly that US troops must go, but has stepped back from unilaterally cancelling existing agreements, saying the matter was up to the next prime minister to decide. Prime Minister-designate Mohammed Allawi has not made his policy toward the troop presence known.

Iraqi PM-designate reaches out to anti-government protesters
[IsraelTimes] Iraq’s premier-designate Mohammad Allawi has met with dozens of representatives of the protest movement rocking the capital and Shiite-majority south since October, a participant in the meetings says.

The protesters have been demanding an overhaul of the ruling elite and have rejected Allawi as a product of the political class they have been protesting against for months.

When he announced his designation on February 1, Allawi extended a hand to the protesters and urged them to keep up their demonstrations.

"Since the beginning of the week, Mohammad Allawi has held a string of meetings with several dozen representatives of protesters from the eight provinces taking part in the uprising," says Hisham al-Hashemi, an Iraqi security expert present at the meetings.

According to Hashemi, Allawi pledged to release Iraqis detained for demonstrating, compensate the families of those killed in protest-related violence and work with the United Nations
...boodling on the grand scale...
to implement the demonstrators’ demands.

Allawi, 65, served as communications minister twice since the US-led invasion of 2003 but stepped down both times, citing corruption in the government.

Rooting out graft in Iraq ‐ the 16th most corrupt country in the world according to Transparency International ‐ has been a key demand of protesters.

Hashemi says Allawi promised the demonstrator delegations that he would take on embezzlement and the bloated public sector by changing up to 170 "acting" government officials and 450 directors-general in the ministries.

The PM-designate also said up to two ministers in his cabinet, which he has until March 2 to form, would be activists themselves and that demonstrators could have a say in up to five ministerial nominations.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
After Trump plan, Khamenei to fund Palestinian terror groups ‘as much as we can’
[IsraelTimes] Iranian leader says ’stupid’ American peace proposal negotiates with ’Zionists over what belongs to the Paleostinians,’ and it will ’die’ before Trump does.

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei
...the actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini...
vowed on Wednesday that Tehran would fund Paleostinian terror groups to the best of its ability, asserting that it was the proper response to the unveiling of the Trump peace plan.

"We believe that Paleostinian-armed organizations will stand and continue resistance and the Islamic Theocratic Republic sees supporting Paleostinian groups as its duty," Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in address, which was published on his website.

"So it will support them however it can and as much as it can and this support is the desire of the Islamic system and the Iranian nation."

Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
funds the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
-based Paleostinian Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, and Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
terror groups and Leb-based Hezbollah terror organization, all of which are sworn to Israel’s destruction.

Khamenei said US President Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
’s peace plan for solving the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict will "die" before the American leader does.
