GNA Aims to Tackle Corruption to Meet Citizen Demands
[ALMARSAD.CO] The spokesperson of the Presidential Council, Ghaleb al-Zaqlai said that the last seven decisions taken within the last two days came with the Presidential Council’s approval. Bashaga: Fails to Protect the Protest Movement, Masterminds Coup with the Muslim Brotherhood
[ALMARSAD.CO] Since the start of the popular movement in the capital Tripoli
...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn...
, the role of the Ministry of the Interior has been at the heart of all discussions. It has neither succeeded in controlling the protests by the usual methods to prevent violations nor did it succeed in protecting peaceful Libyans in the middle of Martyrs Square. Worse still, it did not even release the kidnapped in the prisons said to be under its control.

Fathi Bashagha’s attempts to lead the movement and present himself as the savior, despite the abject failure of his ministry in this simple test of the police being in the service of the people rather than of not the minister, aroused the ire of his new-old opponents in the capital. The situation of the "Tripoli Cartel", which the German Wolfram Lacher had described in detail in his April 2018 study and which still describes well the militia topography in the capital city, comprising the RADA Deterrence Force, al-Nawasi, Ghniwa, the Tripoli Revolutionaries, and other gangs—now loyal to Fayez al-Sarraj though some of them are affiliated with the Interior Ministry.

Rojava Kurds sign memorandum with Syrian party in Moscow
[Rudaw] The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Council, political wing of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding with a Syrian Marxist party in Moscow. The memo calls for aligning the SDF with the Syrian Army and finding a solution to the Kurdish issue.

The memorandum was signed by Elham Ahmed, president of the SDC’s executive, and Qadri Jameel, a member of the presidency committee of the People’s Will Party.

The document describes the Syrian Army as "the general national institution to which carrying weapons is restricted, and it does not interfere with politics."

French paper attacked in 2015 reprints Prophet Muhammad caricatures, trial set to start Wednesday
[IsraelTimes] Satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo
...A lefty French satirical magazine, home of what may well be the majority if the active testicles left in Europe...
says publishing the cartoon that offended Moslems is necessary, as accomplices in terror attack and subsequent attack on Jewish food shop go on trial.

The French satirical paper whose staff was decimated in a violent mostly peaceful attack by Islamic turbans in 2015 is reprinting caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad cited by the killers, declaring that "history cannot be rewritten nor erased."

Terror risks remains ‘extremely high’ in France — interior minister
[IsraelTimes] Citing 8,132 people registered on database of suspected Islamist radicals, Gerald Darmanin says ’risk of terror of Sunni origin is main threat’ to nation.

The risk of terror attacks in La Belle France remains extremely high, the interior minister said on Monday, adding that over 8,000 people were on a national warning list of Islamist radicalization.

The comments by Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin came two days before 14 people are due to go on trial over alleged involvement in attacks in January 2015 including on the Charlie Hebdo
...A lefty French satirical magazine, home of what may well be the majority if the active testicles left in Europe...
weekly that heralded a wave of krazed killer strikes in La Belle France.

The threat "remains extremely high in the country," Darmanin said in a speech during a visit to La Belle France’s internal security service the DGSI.

"The risk of terror of Sunni origin is the main threat that our country is facing," he added, promising a fight "without let-up."

He said 8,132 individuals had been registered on La Belle France’s database of suspected Islamist murderous Moslems considered to be a potential security threat.

Fourteen alleged accomplices in the January 7-9, 2015 jihadist attacks on the Charlie Hebdo satirical weekly, a French policewoman and a Jewish supermarket go on trial in Gay Paree on Wednesday.

All of the perpetrators were killed in the aftermath of the assaults but lawyers for the victims and prosecutors insist the trial will be a hugely important if potentially traumatic moment.

Speaking on La Belle France Info radio Monday, national anti-terror prosecutor Jean-Francois Ricard dismissed the idea that it was just "little helpers" going on trial.

"It is about individuals who are involved in the logistics, the preparation of the events, who provided means of financing, operational material, weapons, a residence.

"All this is essential to the terrorist action," he said.

The January 2015 attacks heralded a wave of Islamist violence that left 258 people dead and raised unsettling questions about modern La Belle France’s ability to preserve security and harmony for a multicultural society.

Five years on, Balkans still a road of hope for migrants
[AlAhram] With a smart black sweater and clean-shaven face, Younes Qermoua recalls his first attempt to reach Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
five years ago, at the peak of the continent's refugee crisis.

After five years stuck in the Balkans, Arif, a soft-spoken 24-year-old from Pakistain, is one of those whose hope is fading."My mother and father keep calling me to come back home, and now I tell them, as soon as I get my papers, I'll be back".
Half a decade later, the world's attention has moved on but the 35-year-old Moroccan is back on the Balkan route, where traffic is picking up this summer even amid the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)

After BLM chaos in Kenosha, ‘Black Voices for Trump’ move in to clean up trash, destruction
[LawEnforcementToday] There’s a social media influencer out there working tirelessly to help change the media narrative. His name is Scott Presler, and he’s been working on cleaning up Democrat-controlled cities after riots and destruction.

His voice just got more powerful.

A contingent of the Black Voices for Trump coalition joined forces with Scott Presler to clean up Milwaukee and Kenosha, ravaged by destructive riots.

The coalition, whose mission is to encourage Black Americans to support the President, worked with Presler in Milwaukee for most of the day on Saturday.

Presler announced on his facebook page, that they completed their cleanup work in the city on Saturday afternoon, by approximately 4:00pm. He cheerfully reported that Milwaukeeans were very appreciative of their efforts, and the overall atmosphere was positive as they worked on removing a tremendous amount of trash.

On Saturday evening Presler and his group of volunteers (BVT included) arrived in Kenosha, spoke with some business owners, and proceeded to clean up there as well. They turned in to rest late on Saturday night.

Supporting President Trump, who many argue through facts has been the most empowering president to the Black community in recent memory, is a top priority of Black Voices for Trump.

The group is sanctioned by the official campaign to reelect President Donald J. Trump.

Black Voices is extremely eager to highlight the policies that the President has championed to revitalize the Black community. They also endeavor to bring awareness to how the economic results of President Trump’s leadership positively affect the Black Community.

T.W. Shannon, a Black Voices Advisory Board Member states:

"Families all across America feel the positive effects of the Trump Administration’s policies every single day. Now nowhere is that more true than in Black America- where President Trump’s leadership has created a Black economic boom."

US vetoes UN resolution over Islamic State fighters’ return
[IsraelTimes] US stands alone opposing resolution, saying it didn’t call for the repatriation from Syria and Iraq of imported muscle for the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
krazed killer group.

The United States vetoed a UN resolution Monday calling for the prosecution, rehabilitation and reintegration of all those engaged in terrorism-related activities, saying it didn’t call for the repatriation from Syria and Iraq of foreign fighters for the Islamic State extremist group and their families which is “the crucial first step.”

US Ambassador Kelly Craft said the resolution, ”supposedly designed to reinforce international action on counter-terrorism, was worse than no resolution at all.” She dismissed it as “a cynical and willfully oblivious farce.”

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 15-member Security Council voted by email. The result was 14 countries in favor and only the US opposed. It was announced by the current council president, Indonesia’s UN Ambassador Dian Triansyah Djani, whose country sponsored the resolution.

In her statement explaining the US veto, Craft pointed to her comments at a council meeting on counter-terrorism last week. She stressed then that repatriation and accountability for crimes by fighters for the Islamic State extremist group, also known as ISIS, and their family members are essential so they “do not become the nucleus of an ISIS 2.0.”

Senior Fatah figure urges violence in wake of UAE-Israel peace deal
“Pay attention to MEEEE!!!!
[Jpost] Fatah Central Committee Secretary Jibril Rajoub has a history of praising snuffies and inciting violence.

A top Paleostinian official has reiterated that terror is a legitimate option in "the struggle" against Israel, in the wake of the Jewish state's normalization deal with the United Arab Emirates.
Yes, yes — everyone is ignoring you so it’s time to pound your chest in a terribly terrifying manner. See us all shake in our shoes.
"Our interest is that the struggle will damage the occupation, and that the cost of the occupation will be on the occupation and not on us," Fatah Central Committee Secretary Jibril Rajoub told official PA TV on August 17, according to Paleostinian Media Watch.

"But all the possibilities are open to all the types of resistance in the occupied lands against all expressions of the occupation, the symbols of the occupation," he continued, using a well-known Paleostinian euphemism for violence.

Israel has witnessed two terrorist attacks in recent weeks following a period of calm, suggesting that the message from Paleostinian leaders is being heard.

Shay Ohayon, 39, was stabbed to death at the Segulah Junction in Petah Tikva on August 26 by a 46-year-old Paleostinian from a town near Nablus in the West Bank. The motive for the attack is being investigated. His death came two weeks after another man was found critically injured in Rosh Ha'ayin, believed to have been the victim of a terror attack. Medics were able to save the victim's life.

Paleostinian leaders have made a number of statements inciting violence in recent months, firstly in response to Israeli plans to annex part of the West Bank, and then in response to normalization of relations between the UAE and Israel.
...and not a single statement impacted the course of events even slightly, which clearly will not keep them from pointlessly making more of the same.
In late July, PLO Executive Committee member Wasel Abu Yusuf confirmed that a third intifada is being planned by Fatah, the PLO and other Paleostinian groups.
Golly. They’ve been getting seriously diminishing returns from those Intifadas of theirs, exactly like the Gaza flotillas. Who even noticed the last one of those?
"Of course [it will be] a comprehensive intifada, a national rebellion, and everything connected to ending this criminal occupation, which is implementing all its crimes and aggression against the Paleostinian people. This is something necessary, and actually this is all being developed," Yusuf told PA TV.
You go off and make your little plans, dear and if you are a good boy Papa Bibi will give you a sweetie for dessert.
Rajoub’s advocacy for violence is also nothing new. In April, he praised a number of snuffies by name, calling them "deaders [who carried out] glorious acts that teach generations."

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Lebanon’s Maronite Patriarch confronts Hezbollah
[Jpost] Bechara Boutros al-Rai is potentially putting himself in the cross-hairs of conflict.

Leb
...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers...
’s Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros al-Rai is at the center of controversy in Lebanon after reiterating his call for the state to crack down on unauthorized weapons in the country, an apparent critique of the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah.

Since a massive explosion destroyed the Port of Beirut and killed more than 150 in the beginning of August, the Christian leader has been more outspoken. He wants elections, and he has critiqued the "political class" that is entrenched in power. Lebanon is facing a major "danger," he said over the weekend.

This comes as the country chooses a new prime minister and government and as French President Emmanuel Macron is again scheduled to visit.

Rai has called for the state to confine all weapons under its control and that of the army, Abu Dhabi-based Al Ain News online reported. This comes after armed festivities with Hezbollah supporters last week, as well as concerns that the terrorist group is storing 150,000 rockets and munitions throughout the country.

In response, pro-Hezbollah voices have slammed the Maronite leader, claiming he is supporting "peace" and is linked to Israel. This is an attempt to link him to the UAE-Israel deal and make it appear as if he supports "normalization."

In fact, the stance of those around Rai is that Lebanon should not be part of regional conflicts; it is Hezbollah that has hijacked Lebanon and forced it to be part of the "resistance" against Israel.

Unsurprisingly, the increased tension and lack of government leadership has put religious leaders at the forefront. The Maronites are the traditional Christian leaders of Lebanon. But they also found themselves at the forefront during the civil war in the 1970s and ’80s, and many of their leaders have been assassinated. In addition, the president of Lebanon is always a Christian, and the current president, Michel Aoun
...president of Leb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah...
, is also pro-Hezbollah.

This potentially puts the patriarch in the crosshairs of conflict. Fifteen years ago, Hezbollah members plotted and carried out the murder of former Lebanese prime minister Rafic Hariri. A UN investigation accused four Hezbollah members and found one guilty last month.

Rai’s criticism of illegal weapons caches in recent weeks is controversial and could put him on a collision course with Hezbollah. He has been treading carefully in the wording of his sermons and speeches in this respect.

But Lebanon is often a powder keg. In addition, many regional countries want to inflame tensions in the small country sandwiched between Syria and Israel.
