RSF chief negotiator resigns to focus on ending Sudan's war
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Faris Elnur, the chief negotiator for the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) at the Jeddah peace talks, has resigned from his position to dedicate his efforts to ending the ongoing conflict in Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
Eh?
Elnur, a volunteer activist and advisor to RSF Commander Mohammed Hamdan Daglo, made the announcement on his Facebook page, citing the Sudanese army’s obstruction of the grinding of the peace processor and its lack of commitment to ending the war.

"The army has no capacity for war and no will for peace," Elnur stated, emphasizing the heavy toll the conflict is taking on Sudanese citizens. "The only important and urgent priority is to stop this war."

Elnur, who has been involved in volunteer work and served as an advisor to Daglo since 2020, stressed the need for a unified public opinion to pressure the government towards peace.

"In order to be unbiased in supporting this priority, I am submitting my resignation to support efforts to stop the war," he declared.

Despite the RSF’s commitment to peace, Elnur acknowledged that the army has been hindering the negotiations, preventing the signing of an agreement to cease hostilities.

Elnur lamented that the RSF "found the army obstructing the negotiations and causing the disruption of the agreement to stop hostilities despite reaching a consensus on 99% of the draft agreement to stop hostilities in the last negotiating round."

India-Pakistan
Nawaz Sharif, Maryam file nomination papers from different constituencies
[GEO.TV] Pakistain Moslem League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif
...served two three non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf, then by the courts...
and Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz on Sunday filed nomination papers from different constituencies for the general elections, Geo News reported.

PML-N leader Bilal Yasin submitted the nomination papers on behalf of Nawaz Sharif from NA-130 (Lahore-XIV), while Maryam submitted her papers for two National Assembly (NA-119 and NA-120) constituencies.

Maryam also submitted nomination papers from four constituencies of the Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

Assembly — PP-159, PP-160, PP-165 and PP-80.

In the 2018 general elections, PTI’s Rahat Aman Ullah Bhatti won the NA-119 (Sheikhupura 1) constituency and PML-N’s Rana Afzaal Hussain stood runner-up, whereas PML-N’s Rana Tanveer Hussain won NA-120 (Sheikhupura 2) and PTI’s Ali Asghar Chaudhry was runner-up.

On the other hand, NA-130 was won by PTI with PML-N turning up as the second-largest party of the constituency.

PTI won PP-159 and 160 seats of Lahore with a slim margin in the last general elections, while PML-N stood runner-up in both constituencies. On the flip side, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif won PP-165 seat effortlessly last time, but the PML-N lost the PP-80 by a wide margin to the PTI.

Cyber Directorate finds online attacks have grown more sophisticated throughout war
[IsraelTimes] The National Cyber Directorate publishes a report outlining cyber attacks against Israel since the start of the war against Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
, concluding that such attacks have grown in number and intensity throughout the hostilities.

At the war’s start, the attacks were unsophisticated, focusing on defacing websites and attempts to steal information. Gradually, the report finds, the attacks became more focused and aimed at causing actual damage and disrupting the activities of organizations.

Cyberattacks have originated from some 15 different groups, linked to Iran, Hezbollah and Hamas, some of which collaborated with one another.

Other cyber operations focused on spreading disinformation online.

Saudi-French Plan Proposes Exile For Hamas Leadership
[ZeroHedge] The French newspaper Le Monde published details this week of a Saudi document containing a plan to end the war in Gaza, which stipulates the transfer of Hamas’ military and security leaders to the Algerian capital.

The newspaper stated that the document was prepared by the head of the Gulf Research Centre, Abdulaziz bin Saqr, after a meeting on November 19 in Riyadh with the head of the North Africa and Middle East Department at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Anne Greux. The document was then transferred to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Le Monde pointed out that the evacuation of Hamas leaders to Algeria most likely refers to the leader of the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, Muhammad Deif, and the leader of the movement in the Gaza Strip, Yahya Sinwar.

Algeria was reportedly chosen as a potential place of exile for the movement’s leaders because of the north African nation’s good relationship with Qatar and Iran, the main supporters of the Hamas movement, and because of its security capabilities that would allow it to tightly control their activities.

Le Monde contacted the Algerian ambassador in Paris, but he did not wish to comment on the matter.

The plan also calls for the deployment of an Arab peacekeeping force in Gaza under UN auspices and the establishment of a "joint transitional council," including the main factions in Gaza, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), and Fatah. The council would be responsible for managing the enclave for a period of four years, and for organizing presidential and parliamentary elections.

The newspaper noted it is unclear if the plan had been approved by the Saudi authorities, or whether it was a purely personal initiative of the Gulf Research Centre head.
More importantly, has anyone checked to see if the prime minister of Israel, Bibi Netanyahu, is even slightly interested? If not, this will have the same lead balloon impact as that Tom Friedman proposal set before his Saudi host at an embassy dinner back in the early 2000s.
The document stated only: "It appears that the search for a Saudi-French consensus could contribute to the crystallization of a common vision acceptable to all parties, and have an impact on the decision to end the war."

Egypt submits proposal to end war, free all hostages, form PA-Hamas government to rule Gaza

[IsraelTimes] Israeli officials confirm to several Hebrew media outlets that Egypt has placed on the table a new proposal for a truce and a further release of Israeli hostages held by Gazook terrorists, with some indicating Jerusalem isn’t flat-out rejecting it and that it could lead to negotiations.

According to the Saudi news website Asharq, which quotes a source who participated in the talks between Egypt and Hamas
...not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
in Cairo last week, the Egyptian initiative is a plan to end hostilities and release all the remaining hostages, in three stages.

The first stage would be a two-week halt in fighting, extendable to three or four, in exchange for the release of 40 hostages — women, minors and elderly men, especially sick ones.

In return, Israel would release 120 Paleostinian security prisoners of the same categories. During this time, hostilities would stop, Israeli tanks would withdraw, and humanitarian aid would enter Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The second phase would see an Egypt-sponsored "Paleostinian national talk" aimed at ending the division between Paleostinian factions — mainly the Paleostinian Authority and the Hamas terror group — and leading to the formation of a technocratic government in the West Bank and Gaza that would oversee the reconstruction of Gaza and pave the way for Paleostinian parliamentary and presidential elections.

The third stage would include a comprehensive ceasefire, the release of the remaining Israeli hostages, including soldiers, in return for a to-be-determined number of Paleostinian security prisoners in Israeli jails affiliated with Hamas and the Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. yesterday after a four-day visit to Cairo to discuss the Egyptian proposal with the terror group’s political bureau. In parallel, a delegation of the Islamic Jihad has arrived in Cairo today for talks with Egyptian officials.

It is believed that 129 hostages kidnapped from Israel by Hamas on October 7 remain in Gaza — not all of them alive — after 105 civilians were released from Hamas captivity during a weeklong truce in late November. Four hostages were released prior to that, and one was rescued by troops. The bodies of eight hostages have also been recovered and three hostages were mistakenly killed by the military. The Israel Defense Forces has confirmed the deaths of 22 of those still held by Hamas, citing new intelligence and findings obtained by troops operating in Gaza.

Hamas is also holding the bodies of fallen IDF soldiers Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin since 2014, as well as two Israeli civilians, Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed, who are both thought to be alive after entering the Strip of their own accord in 2014 and 2015, respectively.

Iran says domestically produced ‘fully smart’ cruise missiles delivered to naval base
Real or the usual Iranian vapourware?
[IsraelTimes] Iran’s navy says it added domestically produced sophisticated cruise missiles to its arsenal, Iranian state TV reports.

The report says both Talaeieh and Nasir cruise missiles have arrived at a naval base near the Indian Ocean in the southern Iranian port of Konarak, some 1,400 kilometers (850 miles) southeast of the capital, Tehran.

Navy chief Adm. Shahram Irani says the Talaeieh has a range of more than 1,000 kilometers (620 miles) and called it "fully smart." Irani says the cruise missile is capable of changing targets during travel.
"Fully Smart" = The Fredo of Iranian Cruise Missiles, and it wants respect!
