Great destructive SpaceX testing: Close up replay of Bulk Head 2.0 rupturing at 8.5 bar!

Bopper 2's test-to-failure showed a 1 bar (Earth's atmospheric pressure) improvement over Bopper 1, because of higher-quality welds. 8.5 bar is also the 140% safety margin needed for crew flights. Next up should be SN1 assembly!

Israel Folau to resume career, signs with Catalans Dragons
[ESPN] Israel Folau will resume his rugby career in the league format of the game after signing for Super League outfit Catalans Dragons on a one-year deal.
Code jumper
Folau was sacked by Rugby Australia last year after being found guilty of committing a high-level breach of the organisation's Code of Conduct after posting a series of controversial social media posts that declared homosexuals, along with drunks, fornicators and adulterers, among others, would go to hell unless they repented.

"I acknowledge the views expressed by Super League and the Rugby Football League I'm a proud Christian," Folau said after confirming his move. "My beliefs are personal, my intention is not to hurt anyone and I will not be making further public comment about them. I look forward to my return to the great game of Rugby League with the Catalans Dragons."

WHO admits error. Upgrades Warning on Wuhan CoronaVirus
[ScienceAlert] The World Health Organization, which has sometimes been criticised for its handling of past disease outbreaks, admitted an error on Monday in its risk assessment of China's deadly virus.

The Geneva-based UN agency said in a situation report late Sunday that the risk was "very high in China, high at the regional level and high at the global level."

In a footnote, the WHO explained that it had stated "incorrectly" in its previous reports on Thursday, Friday and Saturday that the global risk was "moderate".

The correction of the global risk assessment does not mean that an international health emergency has been declared.

Harvard's chemistry chair charged with lying about China contract
[NBC] Federal prosecutors on Tuesday charged a top Harvard University scientist with lying to the Department of Defense about his work for a Chinese-run talent recruitment program.

Charles M. Lieber, the chair of Harvard's Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, allegedly violated federal law by not disclosing his involvement in China's Thousand Talents Plan to the Defense Department, including money he received, according to the charging document.

"The charges brought by the U.S. government against Professor Lieber are extremely serious," Harvard said in a statement. "Harvard is cooperating with federal authorities, including the National Institutes of Health, and is initiating its own review of the alleged misconduct."

The university added that Lieber has been put on "indefinite administrative leave."

The Thousand Talents program tries to recruit experts from Western universities to work in China and ramp up its progress in science and technology. In a complaint, the FBI said the program has "rewarded individuals for stealing proprietary information and violating export controls."

The charging documents, unsealed Tuesday, allege that under the Thousand Talents contract Lieber was paid $50,000 in monthly salary by China's Wuhan University of Technology and another $158,000 in living expenses. He was also awarded some $1.74 million to set up a research lab there.

Cheniere Marks 1000th LNG Cargo Shipped from U.S. Gulf Coast
[gCaptain] Cheniere Energy has announced it has shipped its 1000th cargo of liquified natural gas from its LNG export facilities on the U.S. Gulf coast.

The milesone cargo was lifted from Cheniere’s Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) Project on January 26 by the LNG tanker Houegh Galleon.

Cheniere Energy produces and exports liquefied natural gas to overseas markets from its Sabine Pass, Louisiana and Corpus Christi, Texas liquefaction plants. The 1000th cargo comes less than four years after the opening of the Cheniere’s Sabine Pass facility, the first in the nation to receive export approval from U.S. government.

Earlier this month, the Corpus Christ project celebrated its 100th cargo produced and exported.

“Reaching 1,000 cargoes of LNG faster than any producer in history is a testament to the performance of our people and the culture of our company. Our focus on reliability and safety through the entire LNG production process enabled us to reach this milestone, while fulfilling our commitments to our foundation customers,” said Jack Fusco, Cheniere’s President and CEO. “Cheniere will continue to focus on operational excellence to help meet growing demand for reliable, flexible, and cleaner sources of energy around the world. This achievement would not be possible without the dedication and diligence of Cheniere’s employees, our partners and customers, and we look forward to celebrating cargo 10,000.”

Cheneire’s Sabine Pass facility consists of six natural gas liquefaction trains, five of which are fully operational and one is under construction.

Meanwhile, the Corpus Christi plant, located in south Texas, consists of three trains, two of which are fully operational and one is under construction and expected to be operational in 2021. Cheniere is also developing and commercializing its Stage 3 expansion adjacent to the Corpus Christi facility, which recently received federal approval.
This is quite a milestone in our energy position in the US. And it is also a tribute to the Administration for creating an economic environment that will make enterprises like this prosper.

Lockheed Martin gets $2B boost from F-35 fighter jet
[FOX] Lockheed Martin delivered better-than-expected full-year results, sending shares higher ahead of the opening bell.

The Bethesda, Maryland-based defense contractor earned $6.2 billion in 2019, or $21.95 a share, as revenue rose 11.1 percent to $59.8 billion. About one-third of the sales jump was due to a $2 billion increase in revenue from the F-35 fighter, the most expensive weapons program in Department of Defense history. Lockheed delivered 134 F-35s in 2019, a 47 percent increase from a year earlier.

Wall Street analysts surveyed by Refinitiv were expecting full-year earnings of $21.86 a share on revenue of $59.2 billion.

"The corporation delivered outstanding performance throughout 2019, achieving exceptional sales growth, strong earnings, cash from operations, and a record backlog," CEO Marillyn Hewson said in a statement. Sales orders the company has yet to fill jumped 10 percent to $143.98 billion.

Looking ahead, Lockheed raised its full-year earnings forecast to $23.65 to $23.95 per share, missing the $24.30 that Wall Street had projected. Sales for 2020 are expected to be $62.75 billion to $64.25 billion, higher than the $62.55 billion that analysts were anticipating.

#5  Also what species of Magic Mushroom. There are many from the big cow pie growing ones to the little wood digesters that are 1000s of times stronger.

An example of one of the less potent wood digesters.
the Effects of Psilocybe Cyanescens

Not only is Psilocybe cyanescens more potent it has different effects from that of Psilocybe cubensis. It comes on quicker, in 5 to 15 minutes when chewed in the mouth, instead of the 15-30 minutes required for Psilocybe cubensis. It also peaks quicker, in about 1 to 1 1/2 hours, instead of 2 to 2 1/2 hours for Psilocybe cubensis. Its also somewhat sedating (perhaps do to the 4-OH-T content), while Psilocybe cubensis is very stimulating. Its also less exciting, less euphoric, but more relaxing and peaceful. Its also much more visual and more "psychedelic" or mind-altering and much more dreamlike. Repeated use during a day can make you very drowsy and can make it very easy for you to fall asleep, while repeated use of Psilocybe cubensis will make you very alert and cause difficulty in falling asleep. Clearly, the relaxing quality of Psilocybe cyanescens is its hallmark, making it a nice alternative to the stimulating amphetamine-like psychedelics such as LSD, peyote, exstacy, and Psilocybe cubensis (which is the least stimulating of the bunch). Some people dislike stimulants very much, for them Psilocybe cyanescens is the choice to make when deciding on which one to use. Other people dislike sedatives and would therefor not much enjoy the effects of Psilocybe cyanescens.
Although Psilocybe cyanescens is mellow its not as "friendly" as Psilocybe cubensis. It tends to be weirder and more "trippy", "emotional" and "empathogenic". Psilocybe cubensis almost always makes you feel euphoric, which causes the "trip" to be very positive. Its very hard to become depressed while "high" on Psilocybe cubensis because of its euphoric qualities. While "high" on Psilocybe cyanescens you don't have that nice euphoria to keep you in a good mood during the trip. Its not a "feel good" mushroom, while Psilocybe cubensis is. Small doses of Psilocybe cubensis are very euphoric without any hallucinogenic effects; while small doses of Psilocybe cyanescens have only hallucinogenic effects, and no noticeable sedation.

Note: The effects of most dreamogenic mushrooms are much better when the blue diquinone content is destroyed.

the Known Active Chemicals of Psilocybe Cyanescens

Out of the dozens of known dreamogenic mushrooms Psilocybe cyanescens, the "caramel cap", is one of the most potent dreamogenic mushrooms known to exist. Although its potency has been compared to Psilocybe cubensis in terms of psilocybin and psilocin content it is still much stronger on a gram for gram basis. Psilocybe cyanescens is said to contain up to 19.6 milligrams of psilocybin and psilocin per dried gram (16.8 mg psilocybin and 2.8 mg psilocin) which is almost 2% of the dry weight. Psilocybe cubensis is said to contain up to 15.1 mg of psilocybin and psilocin per dried gram (13.3 mg psilocybin and 1.8 mg psilocin). Clearly this would mean that Psilocybe cyanescens is only around 1.3 times the strength of Psilocybe cubensis, but anyone who is very familiar with the effects of both species will notice that Psilocybe cyanescens is at least 5-10 times stronger.
There are many reasons for this misconception. It is true that they have similar levels of psilocybin and psilocin per dried gram, but the studies that came up with the above numbers failed to include the other psilocybin and psilocin anologs present in these mushrooms. Psilocybe cyanescens is known to contain psilocybin, psilocin, and also baeocystin, norbaeocystin, and 4-OH-T.

#2  Art history department chair and the course’s instructor Tim Barringer told the News that he plans to demonstrate that a class about the history of art does not just mean Western art. Rather, when there are so many other regions, genres and traditions — all “equally deserving of study” putting European art on a pedestal is “problematic,” he said.

Sure.

Islamic squiggles = Michelangelo's contraposto, Caravaggio's chiaroscuro and Da Vinci's sfumato. Equally deserving, right.

Mesoamerican pots are the equivalent of Velasquez.

African masks are the equivalent of Rembrandt's portraits. Yup.
