The spy who flipped on me! US Navy engineer TURNS on his wife and admits trying to sell nuclear submarine secrets to a 'friendly country' while she continues to DENY the charges
  • Jonathan Toebbe, 43, pleaded guilty to a single count of conspiracy to communicate restricted data to a foreign government on Monday

  • The foreign government, believed to be France, immediately informed the FBI, which organized a sting

  • The plea came after he and his wife, Diana, were arrested and charged in October for selling classified information on submarines to a foreign nation

  • In exchange, the foreign government offered the couple thousands of dollars in cryptocurrency

  • Now, the former US Navy engineer will cooperate with the US government as part of his plea deal, or face between 12 and 18 years in prison

As lethal fentanyl flows across Mexico border, CBP tries powerful scanning technology
[WAPO via MSN] LAREDO, Tex. — At the busiest commercial border crossing in North America, trucks stream into the United States at a rate of 500 per hour during peak times. Drug traffickers play the percentages.

Fewer than 5 percent of the vehicles are typically screened by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) with the powerful high-energy scanners that can peer deep inside cargo loads to detect "anomalies" — odd patterns or suspicious densities that could be illegal drugs. The inspections require drivers to leave their vehicles and endure delays.

With fatal drug overdose deaths in the United States soaring to record levels, Congress has directed CBP to come up with a plan to scan 100 percent of arriving vehicles. Here and across the U.S. southern border, the agency is preparing to roll out new "nonintrusive" inspection systems to screen significantly more trucks.

These "multi-energy portals" will zap the cargo areas with high-energy waves, but use safer low-energy screening for the cab, allowing the drivers to remain in their vehicles and clear inspection faster, the agency says.

West Palm Beach homeowner dispatches early morning bedroom intruder
[Breitbart] An alleged intruder broke into a West Palm Beach, Florida, home just after 4 a.m. Saturday morning and turned on the bedroom light before being shot and fatally wounded by a homeowner.

WPTV reports the alleged intruder was shot "after startling [a] sleeping couple."

WPBF notes there was a "verbal confrontation" between one of the homeowners and the alleged intruder after the light was turned on, and that the confrontation was followed by a gunshot.

The wounded suspect was taken a hospital and pronounced dead.

The homeowners were not harmed.

#6  I have had at least one patient who had a very similar injury. He was a lot older though. Lost his balance at home, fell backwards & slammed his head on the floor. Stayed conscious during & immediately after the fall. Brought to ER for a check. Had obvious signs of a basilar skull fracture on my exam. He was lucid without focal neuro symptoms. CT scan show evidence of multiple skull fractures with multiple areas of various hemorrhages in and around the brain. There was nothing physicians could do to help. He went into coma and was dead within a few hours. I know, this is an "anecdote" and so is a completely and totally worthless bit of evidence. It happens even without a "murderer" to blame.

COVID 'Breakthrough" Redefined
[Dallas Morning News] Note the newspaper article is from this morning; the on-line version is dated February 7.
People who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 can still test positive for the virus. Health officials have come to refer to that as a "breakthrough case" of the disease.
Of vaccine failure, under the old definition of the word "vaccine".
But some health experts say the term can be misleading and misconstrued, especially as new variants have emerged and vaccination rates across the country have slowed.

"I think it was setting the vaccine up for an impossible standard that vaccines can’t possibly meet," said Jennifer Nuzzo, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security and the lead epidemiologist for the Johns Hopkins COVID-19 Testing Insights Initiative.
What "it" are you taking about, Jennifer? Fauci's promise to stop the virus with the Trumpian vaccine, or Biden's promise to 'shut it down' with by vaccinating every last man, woman, and child?
"There’s not a single vaccine that’s 100%," said Dr. Grant Fowler, family medicine department chair at TCU School of Medicine in Fort Worth. He also is chairman of the family medicine department at JPS Health Network. "Our whole goal is to [minimize COVID-19] in the population and protect the vulnerable."
Sounds like 'The Great Barrington Declaration' to me.
Nuzzo, who spoke last month at a webinar, said the term "breakthrough" may give people a false impression about the function of a vaccine.

"They’re not forcefields," she said. "They don’t repel the virus from your body."

Here’s what health experts said you need to know about the term "breakthrough case" and how COVID-19 vaccines work.

Cells have to be infected for the vaccine to respond
The scientific definition of infection means that a person must encounter a disease for a vaccine to respond, Nuzzo said.

The goal of a vaccine isn’t to eliminate all infections
Ultimately, a successful vaccine shouldn’t be viewed as one that eliminates infection, but one that fits the new definition of 'vaccine' significantly reduces hospitalizations and death, Nuzzo said.

More COVID-19 cases means more breakthrough infections
"We often hold up the measles vaccine as the standard of the best vaccine," Nuzzo said. "But if we had a lot of measles circulating, and if we did a lot of testing, we would see a lot more breakthrough infections that we just don’t notice because the symptoms are so mild."

Other terms for "breakthrough"
’If I’m talking to the lay person, I try to use the word ’have gotten two doses of vaccine and an infection,’ or ’two doses of vaccine and COVID,’ depending on the situation," Sahly said.
Which includes Mrs. Bobby and your snarker.

#2  These assholes have lied so many times, and moved the goalposts so many times, that there is literally nothing they claim now that can be believed.

They've destroyed the prestige and respect of the western medical establishment. Gone.

Notice that both India and Russia refused the Pfizer and Moderna pseudo-vaccine experimental gene therapies and instead have gone with their own formulated, real ie traditional vaccines, plus sensible early treatments including HCQ, ivermectin and cocktails of azythromycin, zinc, vitamin D etc.

So now we have close to half the world's population laughing at the pretensions of the western bio-medical establishment and getting (in India's case, at least) superior results by ignoring our sssholes and going their own way.

I was never a vaxxer but it's obvious now that our bio-medical elites are incompetent and dangerously ignorant in all matters related to immunology and virology. They cannot be trusted any more than the global warming hysterics and their ridiculous "climate change models" can be trusted. End of an era.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Part of the military exercises will be completed in the near future, said Shoigu
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[RIA Novosti] Part of the ongoing exercises of the Russian troops is nearing completion, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I want to repeat once again that the exercises will take place, some of them have been completed, some are being completed, something remains to be done, taking into account the scale of the decisions that were planned, which were launched on your instructions in December," said thehead of the defense department.

One of the most large-scale maneuvers of the Russian Armed Forces today is the joint Belarusian-Russian maneuvers "Allied Resolve - 2022". This is the second stage of testing the reaction forces of the Union State, it will last until February 20. The goal is to work out the reflection of external aggression and terrorist attacks.

Earlier , Ukraine convened a meeting of the countries participating in the 2011 Vienna Document on confidence- and security-building measures. Before that, Kiev demanded that Moscow explain the movement of troops on Russian territory, but the Ukrainian authorities received no answer. Consultations will be held at the OSCE on 15 February.

The 2011 OSCE Vienna Document aims to build security and confidence between countries. In accordance with the agreements, the states annually exchange information on military forces and major weapons systems, defense planning and military budgets. The document provides for consultations in connection with "unusual military activities" and dangerous incidents.

UKRAINIAN QUESTION
In recent months , the United States and other NATO countries have accused Moscow of preparing an "invasion" of Ukraine . Thus, the media write that US President Joe Biden told European leaders that Russia would "attack" the neighboring state on February 16.

The Kremlin and the Foreign Ministry reject all claims, emphasizing that Russia does not participate in the intra-Ukrainian conflict and does not violate any agreements, unlike Kiev, which does not comply with the Minsk agreements.

The Ukrainian authorities have concentrated about half of the personnel of the armed forces on the border with the self-proclaimed DPR and LPR , the army regularly fires on the militias, including using prohibited equipment transferred by Western countries.

The United States, Great Britain , Canada , France , Poland , Turkey , Lithuania , Czech Republic , Bulgaria , Romania , Estonia participate in the supply of arms in total for billions of dollars . In addition, foreign military instructors continue to arrive in Ukraine.

Moscow has repeatedly urged to stop pumping weapons into the region, as this could provoke Kiev into military adventures.

Ukraine shells Donbass, violating indefinite ceasefire
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[NEWSFrontInfo] Over the past day, four violations of the ceasefire regime have been recorded by Ukrainian militants.

In the Donetsk direction, militants of the 54th ombr from positions in the area of the settlement. Marinka from small arms fired at the area of the settlement. Alexandrovka.

In the Mariupol direction, militants of the 36th brigade from positions in the area of the settlement. Water from mortars with a caliber of 120 mm, RPGs and small arms fired twice at the area of the settlement. Leninskoye.

Also, from positions in n.p. Talakovka militants of the 36th brigade fired from mortars with a caliber of 120mm near the settlement. Kominternovo, firing three mines.

Since the beginning of the current day, Ukrainian militants have once violated the ceasefire.

In the Gorlovsky direction, militants of the 95th brigade fired from mortars with a caliber of 82 mm at the area of the settlement. Zaitsevo (southern).

In violation of the third paragraph of the additional measures, the placement of two ZU-23 anti-aircraft guns from the 53rd OMB on the territory of a private household in the settlement was revealed. Khlebodarovka.

The low moral and business qualities of the Ukrainian militants and the lack of control by the command led to another tragedy in the zone of the punitive operation.

So, on February 13, two militants of the 53rd brigade, taking advantage of the illegal absence of the unit commander, left their positions without permission, taking Makarov's service pistols with them.

Punishers went to the cafe "Kirpich" n.p. Granite. While idly spending time drinking hard liquor, Kiev militants allowed themselves to use foul language and insult other visitors to the establishment, accusing them of “separatism” and “hatred of Ukraine.” Cafe staff and visitors tried to calm the drunken military and made a few remarks to them, which led to a verbal skirmish and conflict.

After that, the Kiev militants left the cafe, as it turned out later with criminal intent. Being on the street near the cafe "Kirpich", they waited until their opponents went out to smoke, opened fire on them with pistols, and then fled the scene of the crime. As a result of the actions of the militants, 46-year-old citizen Rudnitsky died on the spot, three more visitors received serious gunshot wounds in the groin, leg and shoulder.

One of the wounded later died in the hospital, presumably he was a soldier of the National Guard of Ukraine, who also rested in this institution.

We have information that the militants who fled the scene of the crime, in addition to shooting the visitors of the cafe "Kirpich", shot at a civilian in the settlement. Chermalyk, located on the banks of the river.

Now the killers have been detained, it has been established that the serial number on one of the pistols has been destroyed, which indicates that this weapon was not subject to accounting and was intended for illegal export from the JFO zone, possibly for the purpose of further resale on the territory of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian command seeks not to make this incident public, to conduct an investigation without involving the media. It should be noted that conflicts between Kiev militants and the local population in the Donbas occur regularly. Ukrainian punishers, feeling their impunity, threaten citizens and intimidate them.

In turn, we call on international observers, as well as human rights organizations, to record the fact that a war crime was committed by the armed formations of Ukraine in the settlement Granite.

In accordance with the Geneva Convention for the Protection of Civilian Population in Time of War, we believe that the criminals should be extradited to the International Criminal Court, in addition, the command of the killers, including the commander of the 53rd brigade Tishchenko, should not escape responsibility, since, in accordance with International law, the commander is responsible for violations of conventions by subordinates, as he did not take the necessary measures to prevent them.

Russian news outlet wants to criminally prosecute Brit Foreign Minister over Faux Pas
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] The editor-in-chief of the news agency REGNUM sent a letter to the director of the FSB of Russia A.V. Bortnikov with the following content:

"According to Article 67, paragraph 2.1 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation: 'The Russian Federation ensures the protection of its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Actions (with the exception of delimitation, demarcation, redemarcation of the state border of the Russian Federation with neighboring states) aimed at alienating part of the territory of the Russian Federation, as well as calls for such actions, are not allowed.

According to Art. 280.2. The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation: "Violation of the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation:" "Alienation of a part of the territory of the Russian Federation or other actions (with the exception of delimitation, demarcation, redemarcation of the State Border of the Russian Federation with neighboring states) aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, in the absence of signs of crimes, provided for in Articles 278, 279 and 280.1 of this Code – shall be punishable by imprisonment for a term of six to ten years."

On February 10, 2022, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss met in Moscow, during which, to a question from Sergei Lavrov:

"You recognize the sovereignty of Russia over the Rostov and Voronezh regions?"

Liz Truss replied categorically:

"The UK will never recognize Russian sovereignty over these regions."
Top. People.
"We believe that such a categorical public non-recognition by a British official of Russia's sovereignty over Russian territories during an official meeting at the state level falls under the qualification of "other actions" aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation by alienating part of the territory of the Russian Federation specified in Art. 280.2. Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and is subject to criminal punishment.

Based on the foregoing, we ask you to initiate a criminal case against British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss (Elizabeth Mary "Liz" Truss) under Art. 280.2. Criminal Code of the Russian Federation"

Looks like they read Alinsky's book too, the bastards! Make 'em live up to their own rules.

I suspect the end goal is more about making the British look stupid and anti-Russian than any actual prosecution.

Cyber
US: Texas sues Facebook parent Meta over biometric data 'violations'
[DW] Meta has been accused of collecting and storing biometric data to "grow its empire'"without consent of users. The state attorney general said the company "knowingly" violated state law.

In a statement posted on Twitter Monday, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said that the biometric data of millions of Texans had been captured without "properly obtaining their informed consent to do so, in violation of Texas law."

"Facebook will no longer take advantage of people and their children with the intent to turn a profit at the expense of one's safety and well-being," Paxton said. "This is yet another example of Big Tech's deceitful business practices and it must stop. I will continue to fight for Texans' privacy and security."

BIOMETRIC DATA STORED 'WITHOUT CONSENT'
The feature, which automatically tagged people appearing in photos was scrapped at the end of 2021.

However,
those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things...
Paxton said that Facebook has been storing millions of biometric identifiers contained in photos and videos uploaded onto the social media platform.

Paxton alleged Meta and Facebook exploited personal information of both users and non-users in order to "grow its empire and reap historic windfall profits." This, its alleged was done repeatedly and without consent.

A spokesperson for Meta said: "These claims are without merit and we will defend ourselves vigorously."

In 2020 a similar lawsuit saw the state of Illinois settle with Facebook for an amount of $650 million.

Economy
Federal Judge Shuts Down Brandon's 'Social Cost' for Emissions
[Epoch Times] U.S. District Judge James Cain blocked the president’s January 2021 executive order that would factor in an alleged "social cost" for emissions of carbon dioxide, methane, and nitrous oxide when policymakers create rules.

"The Court agrees that the public interest and balance of equities weigh heavily in favor of granting a preliminary injunction," Cain wrote in an order (pdf) as he issued a temporary injunction.
Who will tell AOC? What about Greta?
Cain, an appointee of former President Donald Trump, sided with states in their lawsuit against the federal government and agreed that "the harms to their States and their citizens’ economic well-being more than suffice to establish standing and the possibility of irreparable harm."

Biden’s order, the judge added, "will harm Plaintiff States’ ability to purchase affordable energy to carry out their sovereign functions" as the mandate will "significantly drive up costs while simultaneously significantly decrease States revenues resulting in the inability of the Plaintiff States to carry out their sovereign duties to their citizens."

Europe
Belgium: 'Freedom Convoy' protest reaches Brussels, Israel ditto Jerusalem
[DW] Hundreds of protesters in cars, vans and trucks have headed to the Belgian capital to demand an end to COVID-19 restrictions, despite a ban preventing them from entering the city.

A group of "freedom convoy" protesters reached Brussels Monday, with police in the Belgian capital partially blocking the main access routes into the city and redirecting vehicles to a car park on the outskirts.

Brussels mayor Philippe Close told local RTBF radio that a total of 400-500 cars and vans had been spotted en route to Brussels. Most of the vehicles came from La Belle France, where a similar protest took place over the weekend.

"It is a matter of not allowing the Belgian capital to be taken hostage," Close said.

He said protesters might be allowed to enter Brussels on foot, although authorities have banned vehicles in the Canada-style protest convoy from entering the city.

PROTESTERS MAKE IT INTO BRUSSELS DESPITE COUNTER MEASURES
Rooters news agency reported seeing around 150 to 200 protesters in the city center.

A French protester called Philippe, who traveled from the weekend's protest in Gay Paree, told members of the media that he was protesting for his children.

"I came particularly for our children's future. I don't see how my children can live in the world as it is now. Freedom is swept aside, there's more and more poverty. Even when you work, when the 15th of the month comes round, you haven't got enough to live on," Philippe said.

A similar ban did not prevent protesters from converging on Gay Paree in neighboring La Belle France over the weekend.

They blocked roads and caused traffic jams around the Arc de Triomphe in the city's center.

The "Freedom Convoy" protests began in Canada, with Canadian truckers opposing a vaccine mandate for cross-border transport. However,
a person who gets all wrapped up in himself makes a mighty small package...
the movement has sparked similar protests in Europe.

India-Pakistan
Police arrest 6 more primary suspects in Khanewal lynching case
The arrests continue from yesterday.
[Dawn] Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

police on Monday arrested six more primary suspects involved in the lynching of a man accused of blasphemy
...the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence to a deity, or sacred objects, or toward something considered sacred or inviolable. Some religions consider it to be a crime. In Pakistain you can commit blasphemy by looking cross-eyed at a Koran...
in Khanewal, a day after Prime Minister Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree...
took notice of the incident and sought a report from the provincial police on action taken against the perpetrators.

With the latest arrests, the number of primary suspects in jug has risen to 21, while a total of 102 have been detained so far and are being interrogated for their suspected involvement in the crime, a spokesperson for Punjab police said in a statement.

In an incident that brings back the memories of Sri Lankan national Priyantha Kumara's lynching in December, the middle-aged man was stoned to death by a mob over alleged desecration of the Holy Koran in Khanewal district's Tulamba on Saturday.

The victim reportedly claimed innocence but the villagers first tied him up to a tree and then hit him with bricks until he died.

The six primary suspects arrested on Monday "could be seen [in a video] provoking the mob as well as torturing the victim with bricks and sticks", the police spokesperson said.

He said the prime suspects had been charged with sections of terrorism and heinous crimes in the first information report (FIR).

"The identification and arrest of more suspects are underway with the help of available footage and evidence," the spokesperson added.

Police teams conducted raids throughout the previous night while a secret operation was also underway, according to the statement.
