Russia Suffering Heavy Command Losses - a small partial listing
[TheDeBrief] Moscow has not officially commented on its combat losses since a week into the invasion, saying roughly 500 troops had been killed in Ukraine.

On March 11, the Ukrainian General Staff said it had estimated Russia had lost over 12,000 soldiers since February 24. While this figure is likely inflated, there are plenty of reasons to believe that Russia has suffered extremely high casualties in the first three weeks of its invasion.

As of March 11, the open-source intelligence site Oryx had independently confirmed Russia had lost 1,034 pieces of military equipment. The list of lost equipment includes some of Russia’s most advanced hardware, such as 11 T-80BVM tanks.

In addition to the overall loss of troops and equipment, an investigation by The Debrief reveals Russia appears to have also lost considerable field and company-grade officers.

The following Russian officers are believed to have been killed based on in-memoriam posts identified by The Debrief on the Russian social media network VK or Russian district news reports.

Major General Andrei Sukhovetsky – Commanding General of the Russian 7th Airborne Division and a deputy commander of the 41st Combined Arms Army
General Vitaly Gerasimov -Chief of Staff of the 41st Army

Senior Lieutenant Tsyren Baldanov
Senior Lieutenant Andrey Andreyevich Shamko
Senior Lieutenant Anton Vyacheslavovich
Senior Lieutenant Magomed Makhachev
Senior Lieutenant Nikolai Sergeevich Belov – Platoon Commander in the 5th Airborne Assault Co.
Senior Lieutenant Tsybikzhap Tsydendambaevich Badmaev – Reconnaissance Officer
Senior Lieutenant Denis Igorevich Zorin
Senior Lieutenant Alexander Nikolaevich – Aviation Officer
Senior Lieutenant Nima Damaevich
Senior Lieutenant Semyonov Ilya Sergeevich
Senior Lieutenant Anton Starostin – Tank Commander
Senior Lieutenant Nurmagomed Gadzhimagomedov – Tank Commander

Lieutenant Vitaly Olegovich Golub– Commander of a motorized rifle platoon of the 20th motorized rifle division

Senior warrant officer Alexei Fedorovich Kainov
Warrant Officer Samurkhanov Navruzbeg Samurkhanovich – Senior Signals Officer

This list only includes the names of Russian officers The Debrief could verify as being killed in action from public sources as of March 11. The actual number of field and company-grade officers is very likely higher.

WHO told Ukraine to destroy pathogens in public health labs to avoid spills spreading disease: report
[TheHill] The World Health Organization (WHO) notified Ukrainian officials that it would be prudent to destroy dangerous pathogens in the country's public health laboratories to avoid "any potential spills" that could lead to disease spreading among the Ukrainian population, the WHO told Rooters on Thursday.

A number of public health laboratories in Ukraine, as in many other nations, have been researching high-threat pathogens, including COVID-19, in an effort to learn how treat and prevent them, the wire service reported.

The flood of Russian troops into Ukraine and the Russian military’s blockades of many Ukrainian cities have increased risks of pathogens spreading if laboratories are damaged, biosecurity experts say, per Rooters.

Ukrainian labs have received support from the WHO, along with the U.S. and the European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
, according to the wire service.

The WHO said in an email to Rooters that it has promoted security practices in Ukrainian labs for several years in an effort to prevent the "accidental or deliberate release of pathogens."

"As part of this work, WHO has strongly recommended to the Ministry of Health in Ukraine and other responsible bodies to destroy high-threat pathogens to prevent any potential spills," wrote the WHO.

The WHO did not say when it had made this recommendation, according to Rooters.

"Exactly."

"Let me try again - what is the name of the people who told the Ukraine to destroy the pathogens?"

"No, What is the guy negotiating the MiG-29 swap."

"I don't care about the MiGs, I wanna know who ordered the pathogens destroyed!"

"Yes, that's right!"

Russia, China Accuse U.S. of Making Biological Weapons in Ukraine - Demand Confidential Info
[Daily Patriot] On Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry of Russia claimed they have "confirmed" that the United States is allegedly developing "biological weapons" in Ukrainian laboratories.
See?? The Ukrainians have a wet market too!
They reported that Russian troops found "documentation" of Ukrainian scientists destroying evidence of "plague, anthrax, rabbit-fever, cholera and other lethal diseases" on February 24, according to Foreign Ministry spokesman Maria Zakharova. This came after Russian President Vladimir Putin began a full scale invasion of the country to "de-Nazify" it, as he argues.

Conveniently enough, once Russia announced their alleged findings, the government of Communist China started publicizing the accusations. They are now demanding that the United States reveal all classified information regarding biological military research.

Imagine that, China, where the coronavirus pandemic fire was sparked, is working in cahoots with Russia to accuse the United States of dabbling in biological warfare. The irony.

Breitbart reports:
The official stance of the Chinese government is that the Chinese coronavirus pandemic — which began in Wuhan, China, in 2019, was triggered by a laboratory leak in Maryland and covered up using cases of e-cigarette injuries. Beijing has yet to explain how the virus began spreading in Wuhan before it spread in the United States if this theory is accurate, or how non-contagious injuries could secretly be cases of highly infectious Chinese coronavirus transmission.

"We confirm that, during the special military operation in Ukraine, the Kiev [sic] regime was found to have been concealing traces of a military biological programme implemented with funding from the United States Department of Defence," Zakharov stated Tuesday. "Documentation on the urgent eradication of highly hazardous pathogens of plague, anthrax, rabbit-fever, cholera and other lethal diseases on February 24 was received from employees of Ukrainian biolaboratories."

U.S. Undersecretary of State Victoria Nuland confirmed in a Congressional hearing on Tuesday that Ukraine was home to “biological research facilities” and that the State Department was “quite concerned” Russia would seize them as part of its military campaign in the country.

“Ukraine has biological research facilities which, in fact, we are now quite concerned Russian troops, Russian forces may be seeking to gain control of,” Nuland said in response to a question from Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), “so we are working with the Ukrainians on how they can prevent any of those research materials from falling into the hands of Russian forces should they approach.”

Nuland added she would have “no doubt” that Russian forces would be responsible in the event of any biological attack in Ukraine.

So perhaps Russia is planning a biological attack and plans to blame it on the United States. That would explain the foundation for those claims being laid now.

Unfortunately for this propaganda racket masquerading as neutral and high-minded fact-checking, the neocon official long in charge of U.S. policy in Ukraine testified on Monday before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and strongly suggested that claims [that Ukraine has bioweapons labs run by the US] are, at least in part, true.

#15  No, Mr. No. Except for the Communists, there are plenty of the other groups who are more or less quietly conservative.

As for Ms Nuland, she came up through the State Department, then the Center for a New American Security — called “President Obama’s farm team” for good reason — so I don’t see how she could be counted as a war-mongering conservative, which is what neocon means to me.

Fuming Putin fires generals over invasion losses, says Ukraine
[NYPOST] Enraged Russian President Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
has gone on a tear, firing as many as eight generals over Moscow’s military losses in the invasion of Ukraine, Kyiv’s defense chief claims.

Ukraine Defense Secretary Oleksiy Danilov made the claim on Ukrainian TV Wednesday, according to the newspaper Ukrayinska Pravda.

"[The enemy] had about 8 generals removed from their posts because they did not complete the task. New ones have been appointed," Danilov said.

"We clearly understand what is happening in the Russian Federation," he added. "What’s more, I can tell they’re desperate. The claims by Danilov come amid other indications that all is not well in Moscow.

A March 1 report from independent Russian journalist Farida Rustamova claimed that Kremlin insiders were privately declaring the invasion "a clusterf—k."

The price of putting 'politically reliables' in positions of importance. Nothing different than what Obama/Biden/Austin have been doing.

This is what bureaucracy gets you. The peacetime promotion system was suppose to work as a substitute to wartime performance selection and promotion. Instead, in America since 2001 the bureaucrats keep the peacetime box checking system and speed of promotion in place. It all ignores that ultimately war is not fair or balanced. Neither should your selection process be in war.

#15  Strategypage has pointed out that the qualities that a peacetime general needs has little to do with a wartime general's needs. Thus the horrible losses we suffered in North Africa, the Pacific etc.

However, General Foch's comment "It takes 10,000 lives to educate a general." still holds true. Expect massive Russian casualties before the new guys get educated.

#16  *Shrug* I read some books by Col. TrevorN. Dupuy and in one book he noted that: "In WW2 about 1 in 6 of the starting generals were relieved in the first six months because they just didn't have what it takes to be a Combat General."

So a pruning off the political generals and over promoted REMFs seems kind of natural. (Wish we had done more of that in the US during the War On Terror...)

#17  A good senior leader in peacetime has to grasp the metrics that his command structure cares about to be successful. In peacetime, it is tangibles like operational readiness rates, re-enlistment rates, maintenance backlog, training evaluations, execution rates for allocated funds, and command/staff environmental intangibles such as transfer requests, EEO complaints, reports of survey, and IG investigations/ The intangibles are how decisions on personnel and priorities affect peers, and influential connections not directly subordinate to his command authority. It breeds a sensitivity to conflict and appearance.
Combat metrics are far more straightforward from a macro perspective, and the transition from garrison to combat doesn't reward many of the same factors. My sense is far fewer successful American combat leaders in history were considered nuanced sophisticates of Pentagon policy...

Where Russians have been making hard-fought gains
March 11, 2002
nytimes.com

Although Russia has not captured major cities in recent days, its invasion is far from stalled. Russian forces continue to make gains, pushing into smaller cities and encircling larger ones. Troops have been nearing Kyiv, the capital, and also closing in on key cities in the South and the Northeast.

#21  TBH I don't know who's telling the truth, but I sure as hell wouldn't trust happy talk and cheerleading articles from our corrupt western media.

A rational newsreader's bias has to be negative regarding Ukraine's prospects and any western hopium reporting. The Ukrainian army's just as hollowed out, outmoded etc as the Russian army, and their chances of holding off the Russians are next to zero.

They’ve openly admitted to shaping their narrative to achieve desired results — their January 6 reporting being only the most recent egregious example. I wouldn’t believe their report that the sky is blue unless I could see for myself.

So the question is not whether they are Putin bots, but why they want us to believe the Russian advance is proceeding and who they plan their report to help.

Ukrainian Perspective: Operational information, Ukrainian General Staff as of 24:00 on March 10
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
[Censor] Operational information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regarding the Russian invasion as of 24:00 on March 10, 2022
The fifteenth day of the heroic opposition of the Ukrainian people to the Russian military invasion continues.

This was reported on Facebook by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports .

Ukraine's defense forces are repelling and holding back the offensive of the Russian armed forces in all directions.

During the day, the occupiers tried to gain a foothold on the occupied frontiers, regrouped troops, restored combat capability, replenished stocks of missiles, ammunition and fuel and lubricants.

Due to significant losses of personnel and a slowdown in the offensive, the enemy continues to form a reserve in Russia.

In the Polissya direction, the enemy is trying to break through the defenses of Ukraine's defenders in the areas of Poliske, Kukhari, Zhovtneve, Andriyivka, Kopyliv, Motyzhyn, Buzova, Horenychi, Bucha, Demydiv, and block Kyiv.

In the northern direction, the enemy was stopped while trying to break through the defense of Chernihiv. Further movement of the enemy in the direction of Brovary from the east is not excluded.

In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy continues unsuccessful attempts to blockade the city from the north. Rifle regiments formed at the expense of Russian reservists were involved in the fighting in the Kharkiv region.

In the Donetsk and Tavriya directions, the occupiers are concentrating their efforts on capturing the Ukrainian cities of Mariupol and Severodonetsk.

In the South Buza direction, the occupiers tried to gain a foothold on the achieved frontiers, establish control over the city of Mykolayiv and develop an offensive in the directions of Zaporizhia and Kryvyi Rih.

The Russian occupiers were stopped, demoralized and suffered heavy losses.

In the Black Sea and Azov operational zones, weather conditions were on our side and forced the occupying ships to return to naval bases and bases.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine, in close cooperation with other components of the Defense Forces, are frantically resisting the Russian interventionists, inflicting significant losses on its manpower and military equipment.

Ukrainian perspective: Humanitarian crisis
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] The Minister asks to help Mariupol, because there is a real humanitarian catastrophe. Not a single person was taken out of the city.

Vice Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk spoke about the humanitarian situation in the country as of Thursday, March 10, as well as about the "green corridors". She announced this on the air of the UA telethon TOGETHER.

According to him, in Volnovakha and Pokrovsk, the gum corridors were not opened due to the fault of the Russian Federation, which did not guarantee the regime of silence. Not a single person could be evacuated from Mariupol for the same reason. In addition, the city was never able to deliver water to the city. At the same time, there are foreign citizens - about 300 Turks and Greeks.

More than 60,000 people were deported from Sumy, Trostyanets, Krasnopolye in the direction of Poltava. 3,000 people were evacuated from Izyum to Lozovaya and 100 tons of necessary humanitarian aid were delivered to the city. In particular, medicines, food, water and more.

More than 20,000 people were evacuated from the Kiev region - Irpin, Bucha, Gostomel and Vorzel. The evacuation continues.

Successfully managed to take 52 children out of the Orphanage in Vorzel. In addition, 55 women in labor from the Vorzel maternity hospital are also already safe.

More than 100 tons of humanitarian aid were delivered to Energodar.

“Our greatest pain, which I cannot be silent about. I will speak every minute every hour, I will appeal to the whole world: Help Mariupol. There is a real humanitarian catastrophe. Neither medicines nor food got to people who have been under total shelling for several days in a row," Vereshchuk said.

Recall that evacuation was also planned in Energodar on March 10 , but at the last minute it was canceled due to shelling from the Russian invaders.

The Russian occupiers killed more civilians, than military from all structures of defense were lost, - Reznikov
[Censor] The Russian occupiers are incapable of fighting the Ukrainian army, guards, and defense, so they are attacking the most vulnerable.

The Minister of Defense Alexey Reznikov declared it in the video address, informs Censor.NET.

"After suffering devastating losses, the Russian occupiers have launched a terrorist war. They are behaving like criminals and cowards. They are killing and taking hostage civilians, women and children. As of March 10, Russian interventionists have killed more Ukrainian civilians than our military killed.

"I want this to be heard not only in Ukraine, but all over the world. The Kremlin is bombing schools, hospitals and maternity hospitals. Moscow is not protecting anyone. It is destroying," he said.

According to Reznikov, Russian troops are not capable of fighting our army, guards, and defense. Therefore, attack the most vulnerable.

"We will take revenge on every Ukrainian. Every Russian terrorist will be held accountable for crimes against humanity! We have lists of interventionists and their accomplices and they will be provided to all relevant institutions. No one will go unpunished for all the horrors and evil they have brought to Ukraine and the world." - the minister noted.

Mariupol is a chronicle of genocide. The city was taken hostage and blackmailed by the suffering of civilians - Butusov.
[Censor] The Russians are not releasing civilians from Mariupol to increase suffering and incite the city's defenders, and to make people consume all the city's food and other resources sooner.

Yuriy Butusov, the editor-in-chief of Censor.NET, wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"9 days of blockade of Mariupol. Russians do not release civilians from the city to intensify suffering and incite the defenders of the city, and to make people quickly consume all supplies of food and other resources in the city.

The city was taken hostage and blackmailed the defenders of the suffering of civilians. Death on the streets and in homes has become commonplace, "he said.

After Ukraine, Europe wonders who's next Russian target
BELGRADE, Serbia (AP) — For some European countries watching Russia’s brutal war in Ukraine, there are fears that they could be next.

Western officials say the most vulnerable could be those who aren’t members of NATO or the European Union, and thus alone and unprotected — including Ukraine’s neighbor Moldova and Russia’s neighbor Georgia, both of them formerly part of the Soviet Union — along with the Balkan states of Bosnia and Kosovo.

But analysts warn that even NATO members could be at risk, such as Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania on Russia’s doorstep, as well as Montenegro, either from Moscow’s direct military intervention or attempts at political destabilization.

Russian President Vladimir Putin "has said right from the start that this is not only about Ukraine,″ said Michal Baranowski, director of the German Marshall Fund’s Warsaw office.

"He told us what he wants to do when he was listing his demands, which included the change of the government in Kyiv, but he was also talking about the eastern flank of NATO and the rest of Eastern Europe," Baranowski told The Associated Press in an interview.

Unfortunately we will have to clean up the mess anyway -unless you want to live in garbage. Just because the Roman Emperors screwed up dealing with Attila the Hun does mean we should stand back and let the huns ruin civiliztion.

What we can change is the lack of accountability, and there should be a reckoning when this is over. Not just for this, but for all the crap they've done since 1965.

Those aren't American tanks invading Ukraine. Those are Putin's. It's enabled by the Biden's corruption, but that doesn't mean it's not his war or makes him good because he can pretend to be fighting against the traitor hirelings who run the west.

President Putin has full agency. Everything he has chosen to do and to not do is not is on him. The American government, the CIA, the FBI, the deep state, etc. and so forth are individually and corporately not magically super powered mesmers that can make everybody dance to their tune, willy nilly.

The New Yorker recently did a Q & A with Mearsheimer and tried to make a counterargument. The brilliant IR theorist eloquently shot it down.

He did. Intervened in the Donbas. Nu land set off a civil war that's been raging for 8 years there. 10,000 dead.

Go back to Mearsheimer & McGovern. Mearsheimer and Ray McGovern explain why now the full blown invasion instead of the civil war in Donbas. Clearly Biden's insults, the return of Nuland & Co. and the unbelievable announcement by Zelensky on March 24, 2021 that he would take back Crimea (!) stoked things to, as Lavrov said, "the boiling point."

Also, in Dec 2021 "Putin got Big" - Putin and Xi announced a transcendent alliance. That's another element in McGovern's astute analysis.

Russian Perspective: Humanitarian Crisis roundup
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] A very difficult humanitarian situation has developed near Mariupol in the villages of Zarya, Granitnoye, Priovrazhnoye, Vodyanoye. On March 11, REGNUM was informed about this by one of the volunteers in the DPR, who visited the outskirts of Mariupol.

"People have run out of food and no gas. To the advice to build stoves in the yards and cook food for them, they answer that they simply have nothing to cook," said the volunteer.

A number of insulin-dependent people are under threat due to the inability to purchase insulin, one of the women in labor was urgently delivered to Donetsk, the second is still in one of the villages.

The population of the settlements as of January 1, 2021 was 2,305 people, the actual number of inhabitants of the settlements is less, about 2,000 people. All of them are in need of humanitarian assistance.

We remind you that on February 24, a special operation for the denazification of Ukraine began, as a result of which the city of Mariupol was surrounded by the forces of the People's Militia of the DPR and Russian troops.

Volunteer: A number of villages near Mariupol are in great need of humanitarian assistance
[REGNUM] A catastrophic humanitarian situation has developed in a number of villages near Mariupol. On March 11, REGNUM was informed about this by one of the volunteers in the DPR, who visited the outskirts of Mariupol.

"As a result of hostilities, a difficult humanitarian situation has developed in a number of villages. The people's militia of the DPR advanced very quickly, "Azov" (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) and other Nazis did not have time to cause significant harm to the villages and their residents, but as a result of the hostilities, the villages were left without gas, i.e. without heating, i.e. .to. they received gas from Mariupol," the volunteer said.

There is also no electricity or water. One of the villages, Zarya, consists of multi-storey buildings, there are no wells from which it would be possible to draw water when the centralized water supply is not working.

"People are running out or running out of food and fuel for generators. There are no medicines. The situation is further complicated by the fact that people received pensions, salaries and benefits in hryvnias, and along with the liberation of the territory of the DPR, the ruble zone expanded. They have nowhere to exchange hryvnias for rubles in order to buy what they need," the agency’s interlocutor shared.

According to the volunteer, a threatening situation has developed in the villages of Zarya, Granitnoye, Vodyanoye, and Priovrazhnoye. The most populated of them is the village of Zarya.

Ukrainian Nazis seized buses from refugees - Russian Defense Ministry
[REGNUM] The Nazis seized the buses prepared for the removal of civilians from dangerous zones, equipping them as mobile firing points, Colonel-General Mikhail Mizintsev , head of the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation, said on March 10 at a briefing.

"We have reliably established that the nationalists seized buses, including school buses, as well as other vehicles intended for the evacuation of refugees, in order to use them as maneuverable firing points," he said.

Recall that Ukrainian civilians located in dangerous zones are not informed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other Ukrainian armed formations about humanitarian corridors for evacuation towards Russia, the DPR and the LPR.

Humanitarian corridors in Ukraine to open daily - Defense Ministry
[REGNUM] Humanitarian corridors for the evacuation of civilians from the territory of Ukraine to Russia will operate daily, regardless of the consent of Kiev, Mikhail Mizintsev , head of the National Defense Control Center (NTsUO) of the Russian Federation, said at a briefing on March 10 .

Humanitarian corridors will open from 10:00 Moscow time, Mizintsev specified.

"We officially declare that humanitarian corridors towards the Russian Federation will unilaterally, without any approvals, now open daily from 10 a.m., and in other directions in agreement with the Ukrainian side," Mizintsev said.

"In the territories controlled by the Russian Armed Forces, we guarantee complete security," the head of the National Center emphasized.

At the same time, he called on the International Committee of the Red Cross and the UN to “work closely with the Ukrainian authorities to inform the population of Ukraine about this Russian initiative,” since “Kyiv continues to categorically prohibit and does not coordinate the departure of the civilian population towards the Russian

Ukraine news – live: UK's Boris Johnson fears Russia will use chemical weapons as millions flee Kyiv
[Independent] Boris Johnson predicts Russia is preparing to use chemical weapons in Ukraine.

The British PM made the statement regarding Vladimir Putin’s "cynical and barbaric" government in a Sky News interview.

He said: "The stuff that you’re hearing about chemical weapons is straight out of [the Russian] playbook.

"They start saying that there are chemical weapons stored by their opponents, or by Americans. So when they, themselves, deploy chemical weapons — as I fear they may — they have a fake story ready to go.

"And you’ve seen it in Syria, you saw it even in the UK ... I just note that that is what they’re already doing."

Two million people have fled Kyiv — around half the capital city’s total population, according to its mayor Vitali Klitschko said.

Despite the mass exodus, he insisted that Kyiv was still safe — saying: "[It] has been transformed into a fortress. Every street, every building, every checkpoint has been fortified."

Russian troops have failed to capture Kyiv since Putin launched the invasion on 24 February.

The all items index rose 7.9 percent for the 12 months ending February. The 12-month increase has been steadily rising and is now the largest since the period ending January 1982.

a lot of housing inflation hasn't yet been recorded by the BLS because of the methodology but unless oil hits $150/bar the annual increases will probably be below 10% through the summer.

Of course 10% is horrible. A lot of business will be disrupted, people will lose opportunity to buy houses, people will lose jobs.

as to why we are doing this to ourselves, I'm pretty sure the Biden Admin basically believed (to some extent still believes) in its own theory of economics where wages rise but business costs don't, where windmills fuel cars, where budget deficits don't matter, etc.

Granted that this sounds insane but having met members of the USA ruling class, this type of insanity is pretty common.

Billions of genetically modified male mosquitos will be released in California and Florida as a 'natural pest control' to stop the spread of diseases like Zika, yellow fever and Dengue
[MAIL] Billions of genetically engineered male mosquitos will be released in California and Florida over the next two years, as part of a mission to kill off biting females.

Oxitec, based in Oxford UK, is a biological pest control development firm, that has produced the edited version of the flying insects to combat mosquito-borne diseases like Dengue, yellow fever and Zika.

Male Aedes aegypti mosquitos don't bite humans, but females do, and so the genetic modification causes females to die off soon after being born.

The project has been cleared by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the first wave is due to be released this year, although it isn't clear exactly when this will happen, as it requires state regulatory approval in Florida and California.

It isn't likely to be a problem in Florida, as the state played host to a trial last year that saw millions of the same type of Oxitec mosquitos released in the Florida Keys.

#10  I dont think it is a coincidence that both of the cheap "alternative" covid therapeutics were anti-parasitics. I did a lot of research when the Zika outbreak occurred and we had the Olympics anyway in the heart of the hotzone. Recent data in 2019 noted that GM Mosquitos left behind genetic material. So genetic exchanges occur. My pet CT is that the covid outbreak occurred when GM mosquitos somehow contracted or were given covid tainted blood and they are the vector. No public data to support this other than GM mosquito experiments in China, but not Wuhan, publicly documented. Why GM Mosquitos? They are the perfect innoculator, weather you like it or not they will bite you and you will contract what they can give you, be it vaccine or virus, or a Mrna "code upgrade".

Ukrainians develop drone that drops Molotov cocktails Beer Bottles
From The Reuters files, as reported by the NTP:
[NYPost] "Hold my beer!

Ukraine's army developed a drone to drop Molotov cocktails on its enemies, and one of the beer bottle-turned-weapons was unleashed Thursday.

The small flying drone was developed by the Ukrainian Territorial Defence Forces and appears to have four blades. Its center console has a spot to hold the Molotov cocktail horizontally before it is remotely deployed.

Photos on Thursday captured the drone dropping a bottle of Chernihivske beer in Kyiv."

Intriguing, but no sign of an igniter. Would probably be a great summertime delivery system, however, after I qualify The Mrs. as Loadmaster, Bombardier and Pilot.

Anonymous people kidnap chairman of fuel department in Suwayda

SUWAYDA, Syria (North Press) – Farzat al-Qatami, head of the fuel department in Syria’s southern city of Suwaydawas kidnapped by anonymous people yesterday.

Local sources told North Press that gunmen kidnapped al-Qatami from the front door of his house located in the city center. His fate is still unknown.

Al-Qatami hails from the village of Khirba situated between Suwayda and Daraa cities.

On its official Facebook account, the water institution in Suwayda condemned the abduction of al-Qatami labeling it as a “terrorist” action. The institution called the related authority to hold its responsibilities and return al-Qatami home unharmed.

The governorate of Suwayda suffers a huge water crisis due to lack of fuel. The locals accuses the government of “deliberately” creating this trouble as corruption is rooted inside the state institutions.
