Florida woman found with 24 pipe bombs pleads guilty to avoid jail, focus on mental health
[FoxNews] Authorities found 24 homemade bombs filled with nails, screws, and pellets in the bedroom of Michelle Kolts.

A Florida woman who was found with 24 homemade pipe bombs and a hit list pleaded guilty Wednesday to avoid prison, and will instead receive mental health treatment.

Michelle Kolts pleaded guilty in a Tampa courtroom to reduce charges following her 2019 arrest. She was originally charged with 24 counts of making, possessing and discharging a destructive device.

"Twenty-four months of community control followed by 15 years probation," prosecutor Lindsey Hodges said, Fox Tampa reported.

Authorities found 24 homemade bombs in Kolts' bedroom in the home she shared with her parents in October 2019. The devices were filled with nails, screws, and pellets, along with materials to make more bombs, and books about terrorist bombings. Also found was a hit list.

Kolts was arrested on charges that could have landed her in prison for 100 years. However, in 2019, she was found unfit to stand trial following years of mental health evaluations and treatment. She was eventually diagnosed with schizophrenia.
Another one?
Her mental health treatment will include counseling at an in-house facility. There will be no record of a criminal conviction as well.
No criminal record?
"She's not going to suffer the stigma of a conviction on any of those counts as long as she stays crime free and abides by the terms of her probation," Kolts' attorney, Barry Taracks, said.
She can live with you and your family, Barry

Maybe the hit list explains why the mentally deranged excuse was used.

#5  Heavy.com says her parents found the pipe bombs on her bedroom, and immediately called the police, who picked her up at work. The parents are both military, the mother being in the US Army Reserve. And finally

Kolts is suffering from mental illness and is “a little bit on the autism spectrum,” according to the sheriff.

It’s my understanding schizophrenia often looks like autism in the early stages, and is so diagnosed. And that the two are common co-morbidities.

Texas Church Members Win $144 Million Settlement Against the DOJ
[Independent] The Department of Justice has reached a $144.5m settlement with the victims of a 2017 mass shooting.

A federal court ruled in 2021 that the US government was liable for damages related to a mass shooting at a church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. The shooting left 26 people dead and another 22 wounded.

The shooter had been enlisted in the US Air Force but had been discharged for several years by the time of the attack. The USAF was found to be "60 per cent" responsible for the shooting, as an investigation found that the military branch failed to alert the FBI to the gunman's criminal history.

Had the FBI known, he would not have been able to legally purchase the gun he used in the attack.

"No words or amount of money can diminish the immense tragedy of the mass shooting in Sutherland Springs," Associate Attorney General Vanita Gupta said. "Today’s announcement brings the litigation to a close, ending a painful chapter for the victims of this unthinkable crime."

The shooter, Devin Kelley, killed 26 people and injured more than 20 others during his 2017 attack on the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs. The USAF discharged him years prior for bad behaviour and a convinction for assaulting his wife and infant stepson.

Judge Xavier Rodriguez, who ultimately ruled on the government’s responsibility for the shooting, found that he Air Force was well aware of Kelley’s violent threats and behavior. He said the military understood the threat Kelley posed moreso than the man’s own parents or romantic partners.

He died by suicide following the mass shooting.

Kelley reportedly had a history of making violent threats against his superiors and threatened to carry out mass shootings. The judge ultimately determined that the Air Force failed to do the responsible thing and report the violent threats made by Kelley to the FBI.

The government appealed an initial demanding it pay $230m to the families, arguing that it could not be more responsible for Kelley’s actions than Kelley himself, NPR reported at the time.

More than 80 family members of the victims sued the USAF, according to San Antonio Express-News.
Just before taking his life with a self inflicted gun shot wound he was being chased by members of the church’s flock in pickups and was shot twice.

Jason Whitlock Says the Quiet Part Out Loud on Tucker Carlson – Suggests Secession from Liberal States (VIDEO)
[FOX] Last week, Jason Whitlock was on Tucker Carlson’s show and he discussed how he is full-blown MAGA after the Soros-backed NY DA Bragg announced the indictment of President Trump in made-up crimes.

Jason Whitlock was again on Tucker tonight and he shared his thoughts on the communist and ungodly left.

Whitlock called for secession or some sort of national divorce from the communist left. We cannot co-exist with people who think they are gods and are lawless. We saw that yesterday with Soros-backed DA Bragg in New York.

#1  While the pundits jaw-jaw, the rest of us are actually going ahead with the divorce. We are currently in separation stage. Soon comes the squabbles over what is left of the estate and this promises to literally be a barn burner.

#2  A "national divorce" plays out:

1) Divorce happens.
2) Liberals and their crazy allies realize they have:

a) a sworn enemy of everything they believe in.
b) a national army, equipped with the best weapons money can buy.
c) the will to murder their former citizens.

A national divorce is pregnant with the opportunity to feed their bloodlust.

That leaves changing or replacing the status quo. That's the way it has happened historically.

#9  If the Supreme Court continues to roll us back towards the enumerated powers, you will continue to see a a divergence of laws between the Red and Blue states. That is the divorce. It will be messy and litigious. I don’t expect to see guns used systematically although there will probably be more Rittenhouse stuff.
I don’t see a historical or Constitutional basis for rural parts of states to attach themselves to other states or to kick out cities. Yes, I am aware of the West Virginia exception.
Like in the civil divorce, much of the fighting will occur with lawyers. To that end, a high priority is to throttle the flow of federal money into foreign and domestic NGOs that funnel the cash back into American politics. That is a part of the flow that is paying for the leftist lawyers. The cash coming from Hollywood and woke corporations seems to be throttling itself back.

China-Japan-Koreas
CCP Praises Gen. Milley for Downplaying China's Threat to the U.S.
[PJ] Chinese Communist Party (CCP) state propaganda is gleefully lauding Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman Gen. Mark Milley for claiming that rhetoric around the threat of America’s number one enemy — China — is "overheated." Wreck-It Ralph (as Milley is known at the Pentagon) strikes again!

While Milley admitted that even the Chinese army likely sees war with the United States as "inevitable," he denied that it is. But if state propaganda from America’s biggest enemy is praising you, then that’s all we need to know about your trustworthiness. Not that Milley’s CCP-approved blather is shocking, since he previously told the CCP he’d warn them if the U.S. under then-President Trump were about to attack China.

Economy
Oversupply of cars to trigger price war, says UBS
[Telegraph via Yahoo Finance] A glut of cars on the market is to trigger a price war among manufacturers as demand fails to keep pace with supply, analysts have forecast.

UBS has estimated that global car production will exceed sales by 6pc this year, leaving an excess of five million vehicles that will require price cuts to shift.

A brimming order book for most carmakers means that prices are likely to remain high for the first half of the year, analysts at the bank said.

After that, sluggish economic growth and higher living costs will squeeze potential buyers’ ability to afford new cars, which is likely to hit prices as cars remain unsold.

Carmakers have already begun cutting the price of electric vehicles (EVs) as the soaring cost of energy and the expensive upfront cost of models means they are becoming increasingly unaffordable.

In January, Elon Musk’s Tesla cut the price of its cars by up to £8,000 in the UK, putting some of its cheaper models on an even footing with brands such as Skoda and Kia.

Meanwhile, the cost of second-hand EVs is also falling, with the average price of a pre-owned electric vehicle down by 13pc in the last year to £33,060, according to AutoTrader.

UBS said this trend is now likely to filter through to petrol and diesel cars as demand falls.

Analysts led by Patrick Hummel said in a note to clients: "Given the bullish production schedules, we see high risk of overproduction and growing pricing pressure as a result. The price war has already started unfolding in the EV space, and we expect it to spread into the combustion engine segment."

Luxury carmakers, which are generally more resilient during an economic downturn than their mass market rivals, will be less affected and it will be makers of family cars which will likely suffer, the analysts said.

Overproduction has long been a brake on the margins for car companies.

Companies would set targets for production, rather than sales, and then expect dealers to shift the cars they made. Excess stock meant slashing prices, which was good for consumers since cars were more affordable.

However, demand soared during the pandemic as households opted to drive instead of taking public transport, while lockdowns and staff shortages caused production to collapse.

This led to record profits for car companies as they were able to charge more for their cars. Toyota, Volkswagen, BMW, Mercedes and Vauxhall owner Stellantis all posted record profits in 2021 and maintained high returns in 2022. Renault went from an €8bn loss in 2020 to a €9bn profit in 2021.

But as the supply of components has slowly returned to normal, they are all rushing to maintain market share in the face of increased competition from Chinese carmakers.

Up to 30 new electric vehicle brands, most of them Chinese, are eyeing up the UK car market, according to an industry report seen by The Telegraph. Challengers have designs on the cheaper end of the market, preparing to sell mass market battery-powered cars to Britain.

#1  Attention US Carmakers !!!
When you make a car in Mexico to avoid 70% of the Union labor costs, but you add them in anyhow.

Then price a vehicle at what is in many southern states equal to 50% to 75% of buying a family 3 bed /2 bath 1500 sq/ft home.

Plus, the Dealer's F&I guy skims 2 to 3 points on the Car Loan interest rates & etc... for his and the dealer's pocket. Then do all this is BEAR Economy to boot.

Any business thinking person would see you loaded a shotgun and shot both barrels into your own Feet.

But wait .....the lower prices will be off set by the new HIGHER Car Loan interest rates. So will your Hail Mary sales effort help?

Three GOP Reps. Introduce Gold Standard Bill to Stabilize the Dollar's Value
(Money Metals News Service) As America faces the twin threats of inflation and bank failures, three U.S. congressmen introduced a pivotal sound-money bill that would enable the Federal Reserve note "dollar" to regain stable footing for the first time in more than half a century.

Rep. Alex Mooney, R-W.Va., joined by Reps. Andy Biggs and Paul Gosar, both Arizona Republicans, introduced H.R. 2435, the Gold Standard Restoration Act, to facilitate the repegging of the volatile Federal Reserve note to a fixed weight of gold bullion.

Upon passage of H.R. 2435, the U.S. Treasury and the Federal Reserve are given 24 months to publicly disclose all gold holdings and gold transactions, after which time the Federal Reserve note "dollar" would be formally repegged to a fixed weight of gold at its then-market price.

Federal Reserve notes would become fully redeemable for and exchangeable with gold at the new price, with the U.S. Treasury and its gold reserves backstopping Federal Reserve Banks as guarantor.

Monetary experts have noted a return to a gold standard would substantially curtail the economic damage caused by inflation, runaway federal debt and monetary-system instability.

"A gold standard would protect against Washington’s irresponsible spending habits and the creation of money out of thin air," said Rep. Mooney in a statement.
