Looked up NOLA stores earlier (including one on Canal that I never spent a buck in but probably passed on me way to buy cheap American Chucks at Krauss). Listed all over the place, but all "permanently closed."
[Gateway] Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia took away Christmas Eve as a paid holiday and replaced it with Juneteenth instead. Dr. Joon Lee, CEO of Emory, said that "to minimize impact to patient care, we will not be adding another paid holiday to our calendar." So he traded it out instead.
Dr. Joon Lee, the CEO of Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia, notified employees that the company would no longer offer holiday pay for Christmas Eve because it was adding Juneteenth to the holiday calendar starting in 2024.
In a statement, Lee said the executive leadership team decided to make Juneteenth an observed holiday, however, he added that "to minimize impact to patient care, we will not be adding another paid holiday to our calendar." Instead, "we will remove Christmas Eve from our holiday calendar and replace it with Juneteenth."
"EHC currently observes nine paid holidays each year, while other Atlanta health systems average six paid holidays," wrote Lee. "For each observed holiday, our clinics and business offices close, which means our patients are unable to make clinic appointments for those days."
Emory, which is the largest healthcare system in Georgia, explained that its leadership came to the decision to add the holiday after listening to employee feedback and allowing employees "more opportunities for celebration, reflection, and education."
Emory Healthcare employees are upset about Dr. Joon Lee’s decision to nix Christmas Eve as a paid holiday.

I see June 19th as just another way for the Democrat party to cover over their:
100+ years slave owning history.
100+ years of lynching.
100+ years of racist segregation laws.
To cover their past, they play the role of protecting, housing and feeding the Poor Black Community, that they have kept on their voter plantations.
They even have their version of Kapo's aka using now filthy rich Reverends and Race Pimps.
Based on voting, its seems 96% of the Black Community has been sold on the idea, that the Democrat party is their savior.

Another insult to traditional American culture and kow-towing to a recently publicized Black celebration in remembrance of slavery. Gotta keep that meme going at all costs to gouge more money/benefits from the frightened white liberals.

Thought we had MLK day for that demographic? No?

What amazes me about all this is we're talking about what was a local celebration of an obscure event in south Texas: the reading of the Emancipation Proclimation at the courthouse square in Galveston TX on June 17th 1865.
Seriously, it was one of the 'optional' holidays here for years. Juneteeth, Texas Independence Day, Fat Tuesday(Mardi Gras, day before Ash Wednesday), and the Friday after Thanksgiving. Pick any Two. You had to use vacation to make up extras.

See above. It is a celebration of people finding out about the Emancipation Proclamation 30 months after the fact. This is an early example of extreme "CP time."

^ Thanks for a lovely little alt history daydream...
A compromise, then some delay,
But at last came that glorious day
Of the 19th of June,
Or "some Friday real soon"
On which CPT finally held sway.
And a relaxing and edifying time was had by all... and that has made all the difference.

But what would the DC Junta be trying to deflect our attention away from now?
* Hunters indictments?
* Trump poll #'s?,
* Daddy Biden's mental problems?
* Biden Family $$ Millions in kickbacks and bribes?
* K-Harris ready to step-in narrative being floated by the WH and their MSM?

To be known as the Alternative Individual Weapon System, or L403A1, in British service, the weapons will be manufactured in the United States by Knights Armaments, but assembled in the U.K. by Macclesfield, northwest England-based arms company Edgar Brothers.
[aficiondo] In 1895—when steel magnates, financiers and railroad tycoons ruled America’s Gilded Age—there were around 42,000 cigar factories in the United States, with 300 in Cleveland alone. Even far-flung cities like Davenport, Iowa had a thriving cigar industry. At the time, there were so many people rolling cigars in this country that cigarmakers had their own union. Should you find yourself in the vicinity of one of these factories, we encourage you to stop in, try a smoke and enjoy a piece of modern-day Americana. (Note: The hours of operation for each factory may be limited due to Coronavirus pandemic restrictions.)
Today, it’s quite rare to see a cigar factory in the U.S. And if you live in a flyover state, you probably won’t find any at all. Regardless of this sad fact, we managed to find 50.
After some research, we put together a list of 50 places in the U.S. that are still sourcing tobacco and rolling their own smokes by hand, day in and day out. Some are very small, modest operations with only one or two rollers making a house brand for locals. Others are famous, places like J.C. Newman, El Rey de Los Habanos, Aganorsa Leaf and El Titan de Bronze, responsible for producing nationally distributed brands. A number of the locations on this list even produce handmade cigars that are highly rated by this magazine.
As you might expect, the largest concentration of cigar factories today is in Florida, namely Tampa and Miami—areas where Cuban cigar rollers have been expatriating since Castro’s Revolution.
While 50 U.S. cigar factories is a far cry from 42,000, small operations like these still play a valuable part in keeping cigar culture alive. Should you find yourself in the vicinity of one of these factories, we encourage you to stop in, try a smoke and enjoy a piece of modern-day Americana.
[Gateway] On Thursday The Gateway Pundit’s Cara Castronuovo reported that Biden officials asked him to lie about President Trump in order to indict him!
"They asked me to LIE about President Trump in order to indict him," Enrique Tarrio exclusively told the Gateway Pundit. "I told them to pound sand, and because I refused to lie about President Trump it cost me twenty-two years of my life."
"The truth is, I could have been home," said Tarrio. "I could have been home a long time ago. I could be in my warm ass bed right now, laughing at the world, without a problem...and all I had to do in order to do that WAS LIE ABOUT TRUMP. All I had to do was confirm a lie."
Tarrio opened up to the Gateway Pundit after he was sentenced to decades in prison by the Dishonorable Judge Kelly on Tuesday. He told us that the prosecutors in the Department of Justice attempted to coerce him into signing a false statement that would implicate President Trump by swearing that "through several degrees of separation and connections, Tarrio had communicated with Trump regarding ’plans’ for January 6th."

Will Tarrio be giving (or allowed) to testify for Trump in the DC and Fulton co. trials as to the clear DOJ violation of 18 U.S. Code § 1038 - False information?
So when will the DOJ indict the guilty DOJ Lawyers? IF (insert a name) hasn't already had the sessions video tapes erased already
Or, will Tarrio slip on a bar of soap, while showering. Fracture his neck, arm and legs in many places?

Could be a vengeful lie to try and damage those that put him away far longer than warranted because of their political agenda, or it could be the truth that he shares now because they have done their worst to him. Given the character of the DoJ and the leadership therein and at the White House, I'm strongly inclined to think it is exactly what they would do!

The story does not make sense to me. You don’t meet with a prosecutor without your lawyer. No prosecutor suborns perjury in the presence of counsel. It sounds like a case where the prosecutor might say that we can give you a deal if you give us Trump. That assumes that you give them Trump without lying.

BIDEN: "Good evening, everyone. It is evening, isn't it? This around the world in five days is interesting. Well, one of my staff members said, 'Remember the famous song, Good Morning, Vietnam?' Well, good evening, Vietnam." pic.twitter.com/PjvBtiVcLN
