Convicted Chicago child killer paroled
[CHICAGO.SUNTIMES] A 76-year-old man convicted of killing a teenager in a Northwest Side forest preserve in 1972 has been paroled.

Ray Larsen is the latest inmate serving an indefinite prison term — a so-called "C-number" inmate — the Illinois Prisoner Review Board has ordered released, a list that also includes a double ax-murderer.

Larsen had been serving a sentence of 100 to 300 years in prison after confessing he killed 16-year-old Frank Casolari in the Schiller Woods Forest Preserve near O’Hare Airport on May 17, 1972.

He was paroled May 13, according to state corrections records, which also show his last name spelled "Larson."

At the time of the killing, Larsen was 27 and on furlough from the Stateville Correctional Center near Joliet, where he was doing time for robbery. He was in a program that allowed inmates with good prison records to visit their families and was supposed to be spending a three-day weekend with his grandmother.

Casolari was fishing in the forest preserve when he was shot to death and his body buried.

In prison, Larsen was classified with a C-number — the prison identification that was given in Illinois to convicts sentenced before 1978, when the state did away with indeterminate sentences that gave a range for a prison term rather than a set number of years.

Today, those who are convicted of first-degree murder in Illinois are required to serve their full sentences without the possibility of parole.

But killers, like Larsen, who were convicted before the law was changed in 1978 can get repeated shots at parole. Under the law as it stood when they were sentenced, they are entitled to a parole hearing at least every five years.

Tensions Rise Between Mexican Border State and Federal Government amid Governor's Prosecution
[Breitbart] Tensions are rising in the Mexican border state of Tamaulipas as federal forces work to arrest the governor who claims to have prosecutorial immunity. The governor claims the arrest warrant is political in nature and ordered by Mexico’s president. The tension has led to some talk about Mexico’s federal government pushing to assume control of Tamaulipas and fully remove the elected government.

This week, Mexican federal authorities obtained an arrest warrant against Tamaulipas Governor Francisco Garcia Cabeza de Vaca on money laundering and organized crime charges, Breitbart Texas reported. However, in Mexico various politicians have prosecutorial immunity or “fuero.” This led to some controversy as Mexico’s Federal Senate voted to remove Cabeza de Vaca’s “fuero.” The Tamaulipas Congress voted to keep the fuero leading to conflict between the state and federal governments. Cabeza de Vaca’s allies claim the arrest warrant is illegal in nature since it violates the politician’s immunity.

In Ciudad Victoria, the capital of Tamaulipas, state police forces and their special forces teams surrounded the governor’s mansion in an apparent show of force in the event federal forces try to serve the warrant.

Additionally, the Tamaulipas Congress requested an investigation and prosecution of the federal judge who issued the warrant against Cabeza de Vaca, as well as other’s who may try to enforce it. On Friday afternoon, the Tamaulipas Congress filed suit with Mexico’s Supreme Court against the nation’s Attorney General’s Office and the judge who issued the arrest warrant against Cabeza de Vaca. In a prepared statement, the state congress claimed that it is a constitutional matter as they claim the governor does have immunity and can not be prosecuted.

On their side, Mexico’s government issued an immigration alert to keep Cabeza de Vaca from fleeing the country and as previously reported by Breitbart Texas, froze the politician’s bank accounts as well as the accounts of some of his relatives and allies. Mexico’s President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador revealed the contents of a letter that his government received from the FBI pointing to a preliminary investigation tied to money laundering.

The tension between the state and the federal government rose to the point where Mexican Senator Ricardo Monreal, the same senator who first announced the warrant against Cabeza de Vaca, called for the federation to assume control of Tamaulipas and remove the elected government.

Georgia judge allows Fulton County absentee ballots to be unsealed, reviewed first hand
[Just The News] A Georgia superior court judge ruled Friday that absentee ballots in the 2020 presidential election can be unsealed — a win for petitioners in case allowing them to go to where the ballots are stored in Fulton County.

Henry County Superior Judge Brian Amero said in the ruling that he’ll issue an order soon to lay out the process for the scanning and inspection of the ballots, which will be done by county workers while petitioners and their experts observe, according to the Epoch Times.

A group of voters filed a petition last year asking for a forensic inspection of mail-in ballots — alleged such abnormalities as an abnormally high total of them for the Democratic nominee, Joe Biden, and the Republican incumbent, Donald Trump.

Amero allowed the petitioners in March access to scanned images of the ballots, but attorneys for the petitioners argued in court that the resolution was too low to perform proper analysis and needed to see them first hand, The Times also reports.

Forensics expert David Sawyer told the court that he had identified a discrepancy in the number of ballot batches received from the Dominion Voting Systems software, compared to the number Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger’s office listed as having been examined in an audit.

Windham New Hampshire Ballot Audit Finds Folded Ballots Generated False Results
[ConservativeTreehouse] The people on the ground in Windham, New Hampshire, are doing an excellent job holding the election officials and auditors accountable to the people during this forensic ballot audit. The audit started because the tabulating machines (Dominion hardware and software) did not accurately count the votes from the physical ballots.

During the first small audit (recount) it was discovered that Republican votes were undercounted and Democrat candidates were overcounted. This anomaly was discovered during a hand recount of the ballots as compared to the electronic tabulation results. After the first set of tabulation results were discovered to be inaccurate the state authorized a full forensic audit. The full audit is ongoing, here’s the update:

Yesterday it was reported the second hand recount matched the first, which means the machine tabulation of those ballots was wrong. The auditors wondered if folded ballots generated the problem. The test of folded -vs- unfolded ballots (counted by same machine) showed a high number of errors. That would mean the tabulation machines across all of New Hampshire may have this problem.

Patrick Leahy signals he'll run for ninth Senate term
[MSN] The Senate’s longest-serving oligarch Democrat, long assumed to be on the cusp of retirement, is leaning toward giving it another go.

Sen. Patrick Leahy
...Democrat Senator-for-Life from Vermont, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, source of more leaks than a plumber could keep up with...
(D-Vt.), who has served since 1975 and is in the line of presidential succession, is asking colleagues to support his potential campaign for a ninth term, according to Democratic senators who have spoken to him. The 81-year-old has also indicated to them that he believes he’s "the only Democrat that can win the seat," said a person briefed on the conversations. Given that Bernie Sanders
...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being an Independent socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around...
is an independent who caucuses with Democrats, Leahy’s the only Democrat ever elected to the Senate from Vermont.

If reelected, Leahy could take the record for Senate longevity in a chamber famous for its octogenarians. He's not the oldest senator — four others are older than he is — but he experienced a health scare earlier this year that prompted anxiety among his fellow wardheelers.

In an interview, Leahy said he hadn’t really thought about running again. He held a fundraiser this week for his reelection and raised more than $300,000 in the first quarter of the year. Leahy said he and his wife, Marcelle, typically decide by December before the election year whether he should seek another term.

California Democratic lawmakers look to remove penalty for possessing firearm during crime
[FOXNEWS] Reform-minded activists in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, vow to move forward after a bill that would have dramatically reduced, and in some cases eliminated, enhanced sentences for crimes committed while using a gun failed to advance through the legislature Thursday.

"AB 1509 was held in the Appropriations committee and will not move forward this year," Greg Fidell, policy manager of Initiate Justice, wrote on Twitter. "This is very painful - but we will be back stronger next year."

The state politicians who backed the Anti-Racism Sentencing Reform Act claim the existing law, which allows prosecutors to seek additional time behind bars, is racist — 89% of the roughly 40,000 inmates serving gun enhancement sentences in California are people of color, according to figures from Restore Justice.
Could be because 12 percent of the population commits 55 percent of violent crime. Whites, Asians, and White Hispanics (who're white) have crime rates comparable to (white) Europeans. Treat the disease, relieve the symptom.

I would agree unless the Firearm is used or displayed as part of the crime.

Because a few police have been caught trying to overcharge citizens for having a firearm in the car, while being stopped for a traffic citation.

Because it makes it a Felony arrest and not a traffic court ticket. Officers with more Felony Arrests and convictions acquire "brownie" points for promotions.

San Fran Legalized Shoplifting. Now Seniors Have No Pharmacies
Unexpectedly.
[FRONTPAGEMAG] Actions have consequences. Pro-crime policies work.

And electing leftists who call themselves progressives and promise to protect criminals from being locked up in the name of criminal justice reform while regulating and taxing the businesses they prey on more than ever has inevitable consequences.

Progressives in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, in recent years have strengthened property rights—to other people’s property. Shoplifting has essentially been decriminalized, and retailers that apprehend thieves can be sued. The result: Another Walgreens store in the Socialist paradise of San Francisco
...where God struck dead Anton LaVey, home of the Sydney Ducks, ruled by Vigilance Committee from 1859 through 1867, reliably and volubly Democrat since 1964...
, the seventh this year, is closing after its shelves were cleared by looters.

"All of us knew it was coming," longtime customer Sebastian Luke told the San Francisco Chronicle. "Whenever we go in there, they always have problems with shoplifters."

Mr. Luke has been posting photos of the shoplifting sprees. "I feel sorry for the clerks, they are regularly being verbally assaulted," he said. "The clerks say there is nothing they can do. They say Walgreens’ policy is to not get involved. They don’t want anyone getting injured or getting sued, so the guys just keep coming in and taking whatever they want."

Several retailers in the state have been sued by people caught shoplifting who claimed to be victims of racial profiling. Businesses understandably fear bad publicity and hefty payouts that may exceed their losses from the theft.

An aspiring congressional candidate unveils novel campaign slogan: 'Make crime illegal again'
[FOXNEWS] Washington state congressional candidate Matt Larkin is running on a tough-on-crime platform based on supporting law enforcement in an effort to "make crime illegal again" amid skyrocketing crime and failed liberal leadership in Seattle.

Larkin, a Republican who lost his bid for Washington state attorney general to the incumbent Democrat in 2020, plans to challenge sitting Democratic Rep. Kim Schrier for the seat representing the 8th District of Washington.

In an exclusive interview with Fox News, Larkin said that skyrocketing violent mostly peaceful crime, rising homelessness and the growing number of assaults on coppers motivated him to jump into the race.

"There is an astounding failure of left-wing prosecutors to pursue charges against criminals and it makes us all unsafe. They refuse to prosecute crime, and I’m running on a platform to make crime illegal again," Larkin told Fox News.

"I can only pray we don’t see another ’summer of love,’" said the congressional hopeful.

PA County Reports Voting Machine Issues Affecting Republican Ballots
[DAILYWIRE] Voting machines in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, caused concern this week when registered Republicans and independent voters were seeing Democrat-labeled ballots on primary day.

Eyewitness News reported Tuesday that they had "received numerous calls from concerned citizens reporting issues with voting machines improperly labeling Republican ballots as Democrat."

"Because it’s a primary, Democrats and Republicans or independent non-partisans, have a different ballot," explained Carl Romanelli, a judge with Luzerne County Board of Elections. "When you got into the ballot marking devices, the header on all of the ballots indicates that it’s a Democratic ballot, but then when you proceed to the actual ballot itself, it is the proper ballot for the voter’s party. And when the ballot is printed, it shows that it is in fact the proper ballot."

Bob Morgan, Director of Elections in Luzerne County, released a statement noting that the issue was caused by a "coding error." He later emphasized that the problem was not caused by the county and that they are working with voting machine company Dominion Voting Systems to figure out what went wrong.
Prolly because all those unemployed Democrats Journalists have "learned to code"?
"Due to a coding error the Republican primary ballot in today’s Municipal Primary election contains an error in the header when displayed on the viewing screen," Morgan said in a statement. "This error occurred during vendor programming of the device and appears on Republican ballots countywide. The ballot correctly shows Republican candidates, however, the header of the ballot says ’Democrat.'"

Does Dominion have such Piss Poor Quality Assurance that such a Blindingly Obvious bug can get thru it?
