Obama To Announce Amnesty Plans Tomorrow Night
If the Republicans fund a dime of this, I'll never vote for another one of them in my life...
President Barack Obama will make a statement on immigration on Thursday night, followed by a rally at a Las Vegas high school with Senator Harry Reid on Friday, two sources familiar with the situation told NBC News.

Results from a NBC News-Wall Street Journal poll released on Wednesday found that the president is entering risky political territory with his planned action on immigration but that Americans broadly share his goals for policy reform.

#1  There is a policy to welcome anything at the border and deport almost zero. Does 'reforming' mean go back and following laws this time? Will there be spanish subtitles scrolling during during the change of the union speech? Will LaRaza be in the audience?

#2  Barack Obama will make a statement on immigration on Thursday night, followed by a rally at a Las Vegas high school with Senator Harry Reid... Dumb and dumber.

There is going to be a huge pushback on this---if not from the Washington Pub establishment, from the people. Not good for hispanics legally here, not good for blacks, not good for unions/workers, not good for welfare systems and safety net systems, not good for anyone except the illegals. Obama is giving the illegals a de facto vote over the votes of the American people; those who foot the bill. Clower and Pivens at work.

#3  His timing is perfect. The grand jury will announce in Ferguson day after tomorrow and derail the news cycles over immigration.

SO what's his plan? WH.gov has some old stuff up. The stuff on WH.gov seems reasonable. I would like to see exactly what he is proposing before I have a response to it. As much as I despise the man our congress cant agree on anything but pork.

#4  I agree w/Pan 49: the timing is perfect for instigating 2-for-1 rioting.
Posted by: regular joe || 11/19/2014 16:13 Comments || Top||

#5  49Pan, the plan is to keep creating chaos, even at his party's expense until the people finally start rising up against him and then he declares martial law and gets rid of the pesky two year term limit and elections and the republican congress.

#6  This is very dangerous stuff, community organizer/rules for radicals playbook stuff that Champ thinks translates from local/municipal theater to the national stage.

It doesn't, lines are forming around beliefs that existential issues of America as we know it are at stake. Importing foreign, illegal residents, at our expense, and awarding them with benefits and the promise of citizenship is now a blatant strategy to create a singe, permanent political party in control of the nation. Then the wealth redistribution of the holdings of the "legacy" citizens (IRA/401k/457/savings) to the government to buy the votes of the imported proletarians. This isn't mere community organization, it is going to create civil unrest beyond any expectations, and if it morphs into a race/faith based confrontation, Katie bar-the-door....
Posted by: NoMoreBS || 11/19/2014 16:32 Comments || Top||

#7  Darth and NMBS are unfortunately reading this right. Divide the people to a point were reconciliation is impossible, then implement draconian civil laws to suppress. He wanted to fundamentally change our nation, he is doing just that!
Posted by: 49 Pan || 11/19/2014 16:43 Comments || Top||

#8  Maybe he will try do declare martial law and the military will go and arrest him and the den of jackals in the WH.
Posted by: Alaska Paul || 11/19/2014 16:54 Comments || Top||

#9  If that's the case, Paul, it's a good thing he's been purging the military for the past few years.

#10  Don't forget our custom made DHS Youth Brigade.
Posted by: swksvolFF || 11/19/2014 17:32 Comments || Top||

#11  No one has yet explained why it's necessary to have a sweeping amnesty plan this week, as opposed to last week or next week. What's the rush?

So, okay, the president and the Congress can't agree on immigration. That's about, what, 30 things on which they don't agree? Or 300? I can never keep track. Okay, they can't agree. That generally means nothing gets done which is the way most Americans prefer it.

What's the rush? What's the crisis? What's the exigent emergency?
Posted by: Steve White || 11/19/2014 17:47 Comments || Top||

#12  Amnesty has nothing to do with Immigration.

It is rewarding those who break out laws by violating our borders. These are not immigrants.

In short it is much like saying we will not prosecute robbery, theft, rape, murder, or other crimes. (Something Holder attemtpt to do for 'his people').

We have to stop calling it an immigration issue - it isn't. It is a border (and national) security issue.
Posted by: CrazyFool || 11/19/2014 17:52 Comments || Top||

#13  Maybe it is time to impeach the bastard. Make that the first priority of the new Congress in January. Then if Biden starts this shit impeach him too. Boehner wouldn't be my favorite president but he'd be better than what we have now.
Posted by: Abu Uluque || 11/19/2014 18:32 Comments || Top||

#14  Do it all nice and legal like. Then if he won't go all bets are off.
Posted by: Abu Uluque || 11/19/2014 18:33 Comments || Top||

#15  The republicans have had an immigration bill stuck in the Senate for months, the dems have one stuck in the house for about as long. F&*k them all, the Mexicans are crossing the border because the bitches in DC just want to squander this great nation and refuse to work together. Let the Mexicans come, this nation can not stand with the leader we have.

#16  The backlash from this may exceed all of Mr. Obama's hopes. Initially, he and his ilk will enjoy it. Later, not so much.
Posted by: Injun Grumble7123 || 11/19/2014 19:21 Comments || Top||

#17  At this rate Injun, he will have a pissed off crowd storming the White House in 18 months to pull him off his throne.

But he won't be there.

He will be found months later being pulled from a hide-hole and saying now he is willing to negotiate.

Democrats Block Keystone Bill, Landrieu's Plea Rejected
[NATIONALJOURNAL] Mary Landrieu begged her fellow Democrats to back legislation approving the Keystone XL pipeline, looking for a lifeline in her long-shot bid to keep her Senate seat. But on Tuesday night, she fell one vote short. The Senate rejected an attempt to get cloture on the measure, with 41 senators (all Democrats or independents) voting to stall the measure.

#1  Wait. Where is all the great bi-partisan Dems we heard about in the election? It cannot be that the dems are now the evil obstructionists to progress that the American people want.
Posted by: Airandee || 11/19/2014 6:22 Comments || Top||

#2  Perhaps you misunderstood, Airandee.

The Dems are giving the American people what they need, as defined by their twice-elected-by-almost-half-of-the-American-people Fearless Leader. We're too stoopid to know what we need.
Posted by: Bobby || 11/19/2014 8:01 Comments || Top||

#3  The Donks hate the Pubs more than the Taliban or radical Islamics (AQ, ISIL, others). Under the bus with Mary Landrieu for ideology.

The Pubs will bring back Keystone in January when they have control of both Houses and after the LA run-off election.

Posted by: JohnQC || 11/19/2014 12:03 Comments || Top||

#4  Would have guessed the Dems would pass it. Now the Republicans can bring it up next session, possibly even with a veto-proof majority. Guess all the political theater in the world wasn't as important as keeping the enviro-millions flowing into DNC coffers.
Posted by: Iblis || 11/19/2014 12:30 Comments || Top||

#5  This was a donk protest vote. Nothing more.

MSNBC Host can’t find ‘a single Dem. in Washington’ to say Obama’s amnesty plan is legal

#1  Whether they'll vote for a House bill that denies Obama the funding to do just that is another matter.
Posted by: Raj || 11/19/2014 0:41 Comments || Top||

#2  That nothing, you can't find a single Dem that says this regime is legal, and OB is not a dual citizen.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.... what Barry ?... pass it over to me ?

Posted by: Bob Spoper2230 || 11/19/2014 1:52 Comments || Top||

#3  Let's take a vote. All those who think Champ cares whether his plan is legal or not, raise your hand! [looks around]

Anyone?

Turley to be Lead Counsel for House Lawsuit Against Champ
The meat of it:
In the Madisonian system it is as important how you do something as what you do. And, the Executive is barred from usurping the Legislative Branch’s Article I powers, no matter how politically attractive or expedient it is to do so. Unilateral, unchecked Executive action is precisely the danger that the Framers sought to avoid in our constitutional system. This case represents a long-overdue effort by Congress to resolve fundamental Separation of Powers issues. In that sense, it has more to do with constitutional law than health care law. Without judicial review of unconstitutional actions by the Executive, the trend toward a dominant presidential model of government will continue in this country in direct conflict with the original design and guarantees of our Constitution. Our constitutional system as a whole (as well as our political system) would benefit greatly by courts reinforcing the lines of separation between the respective branches.
Americans have no tradition of being ruled, regardless of what B.O and his thugs think. There's a difference between being ruled and governed. It seems to be too subtle and elusive for B.O. to grasp -- either that, or he's never given it a thought.
I shouldn't think it occurred to him that it's a question, though the little people will go on about such things. Perhaps Mr. Turley, esq. will socratically educate him.

#1  Turley is or was an Obamaite. A credit to him that he still values our Constitution and is not an Obama sycophant.

Unilateral, unchecked Executive action is precisely the danger that the Framers sought to avoid in our constitutional system.

The danger is tyranny and a dictatorship.

#2  From the link:

As many on this blog know, I support national health care and voted for President Obama in his first presidential campaign. ...

And, as Mr. Turley, esq. is also a professor of ConLaw, the temptation was irresistible, regardless of his personal politics.

#3  the original design and guarantees of our Constitution went down the tubes after Fort Sumter was fired on, and we are still sorting that out. Violated treaties (e.g. the Black Hills), various executive orders such as the seizure of privately held gold, negation of contracts containing gold clauses, the unjust robbery and imprisonment of US citizens in internment camps come to mind, all "validated" by the USSC by the way.
Posted by: Anguper Hupomosing9418 || 11/19/2014 14:05 Comments || Top||

#4  I've watched Turley since the Clinton impeachment, and he is a Dem partisan by sentiment. He is also a stronger Constitutional Scholar (unlike that fooking adjunct professor as POTUS) and seems to be really able to do the right thing for the Constitution and America to restore the balance of powers. I actually trust him
