The New York Times has revealed what some of us already knew: billionaire convicted felon George Soros is bankrolling attacks on election integrity laws in advance of the 2016 election. He is funding efforts to attack laws designed to aid election integrity in Wisconsin, North Carolina, Ohio and perhaps elsewhere, according to the New York Times.
...These lawsuits are attacks on voter ID and other changes made to increase election integrity. For example, in North Carolina, where same-day voter registration used to exist, over 1,000 unverified voters were permitted to cast a regular ballot in the 2012 election.

Hmmm seems I heard about some candidate challenging election laws recently and any citizen or non-citizen having 'the right to vote', a coincidence or a gambit ?

It's because the Trunks are cowards and won't start attacking the legitimacy of any government that allows its voting system to be so compromised. Make the whole issue the 'third rail' for the people pushing this stuff - why should you obey a government that fixes elections by stuffing the ballot box? Flip the narrative.

Soros, now there's a crooked bastid. Convicted felon and Soros is apt in his resume. One of the left's puppet masters--the man behind the screen. You can be sure that if Soros is involved, whatever he's doing is aimed at stuffing the ballot box for his chosen lefty candidate.

He's smart enough to put his money to work where it will make the most difference. It's quite telling that the best and brightest on the Dem side think their biggest opportunity for gains lies in cheating.
[WAPO] He has virtually no chance to get the Democratic nomination but former Rhode Island Governor and Senator Lincoln Chafee deserves credit. He finally said what all responsible Democrats need to acknowledge about their inevitable nominee:
It's a long record going back over decades of questionable ethical practices. People groan when I bring up Whitewater and all these things, the Rose Law Firm records; it seems like it never stops. Now, we are into the tenure of secretary of State and the emails and of course the Clinton Foundation donations at the same time the State Department is making critical decisions, combined with some of those donations by the Clinton Foundation. It's just too close and too many ethical questions. Over my 30-year record in public office, I've never had any ethical questions about my behavior.
Well, good for him. There are a few critical points worth noting here.
First, we are not talking about an isolated incident in Clinton's career. We are talking about endemic behavior, a pattern of conduct reinforced over decades. The has inverted the essence of public service. Rather than serve the voters she has used to her office and her potential candidacy to further her own political and financial interests. It undermines the notion of accountability and ultimately of democracy itself to say that corrupt, secretive and dishonest pols deserve our indulgence.
Second, not everyone does it. Not all politicians are crooks; in fact no other politician behaves as she does.

And yet one of the Clinton "Take Down Organizations" and the NYTs is going after Rubio and his wife for traffic violations. Now there's hubris. "The don't look at me for murder, look at him for jaywalking" strategy--figuratively speaking.

Gives you a good idea of who the Democrats are afraid of.
But give me a break, establish some kind of moral equivalency between a speeding ticket and the abandonment of a US ambassador and his security detail to an expected terrorist attack.
Besides, the silliness is that most of the traffic citations the dems went after and published in the Times were for Rubio's wife. Seems Mrs. Rubio is a spirited lady with a lead foot, which I like, show me a man with a spirited lady for a wife and I'll show you a MAN.

I think what the Times is doing is helping (without realizing it) to distinguish Rubio and Clinton: Rubio's the candidate with a lead foot, and Clinton's the candidate best known for lying, stealing, violating national security, and taking bribes from all over the world.
Thank you New York Times, the voters never would have figured that one out on their own...
