[Townhall] Following criticism from former President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State John Kerry, former Vice President Joe Biden also weighed in on President Trump’s announcement that the U.S. is leaving the Iran deal Tuesday.
Biden claims that Trump "manufactured a crisis for his own political interests that puts us on a collision course not only with an adversary but also with our closest partners."
In his statement, Biden calls Trump’s decision a "profound mistake."
"Talk of a ’better deal’ is an illusion," Biden wrote. "It took years of sanctions pressure, painstaking diplomacy, and the full support of the international community to achieve that goal. We have none of that in place today."
"President Trump’s decision will do the opposite of what he says he intends," he claimed. "It will free up Iran’s path to a nuclear weapon and ultimately force us into a binary choice between engaging in a new military conflict or living with a nuclear-armed adversary, both of which pose grave national security risks. And it puts us at odds with our closest European allies, who repeatedly urged the United States to honor the agreement."
In his announcement Tuesday, President Trump said, "this is a horrible, one sided deal that should have never been reached..It didn't bring calm, it didn't bring peace and it never will.
[CBS] Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who is now on President Trump's legal team, told CBS News correspondent Paula Reid Monday that special counsel Robert Mueller's office has rejected proposals to allow Mr. Trump to answer questions from investigators in writing.
The president's legal team has signaled that this would be their preferred format for a possible interview, since it helps protect Mr. Trump from the possibility of lying or misleading investigators, which is a criminal offense.
Giuliani told CBS News it will take up to three weeks for him to get fully up to speed on the facts of the investigation and be prepared to engage in formal negotiations with the special counsel about the terms of a possible interview with Mr. Trump.
Giuliani told Reid that he and the president's legal team continue to be in communication with the special counsel, but that he wants to have a better sense of the facts before engaging in formal negotiations about a possible interview.

FBI has shown that even when the folks doing the interview felt there was no deception or lies that they were able to prosecute anyway. Why would anyone trust them after that?

Trump should go ahead and answer the first dozen Meuller questions, but redact the hell out of his responses to the point of making them nearly illegible, just to piss Mueller off.
