Nigerian Man Wanted In U.S. In Case Of Missing Woman Googled 'How To Be A Serial Killer, Kill Without Getting Caught'
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

The police in Houston, Texas have declared wanted a 28-year-old Nigerian man identified as Chukwuebuka Nwobodo, for killing a 24-year-old Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, woman, Felicia Johnson, after searching online "how to get away with murder," "how to be a serial killer" and "does bleach destroy DNA" some days after the dear departed disappeared. The Texas-based runaway was charged last week with murder and tampering with evidence in relation to Felicia’s disappearance in Houston in April this year, New York Post reports.

Nwobodo was said to have killed and dismembered Felicia inside his apartment on April 16 before disposing of her body.

It was reported that court documents showed that the suspect was reported to have been captured on surveillance video where he bought trash bags, gloves, a mechanical saw, shovel and flashlight at a Walmart and Home Depot on April 16 and 17.

Meanwhile,
...back at the palazzo, Count Guido had been cornered by the banditti...
after days without seeing Felicia’s body, her cell phone was found in blood off the roadway in Bear Creek Pioneers Parks near Highway 6 and Clay Road.

Officers said that a member of Texas EquuSearch found a purse nearby the same scene matching the description of Johnson’s purse.

According to police, Nwobodo had ordered an Uber for Felicia from her hotel to his apartment the night she eventually disappeared, after posting an advertisement on an escort website.

When she could not return after some days, her family told police that she had travelled to Houston to celebrate her birthday and earn some extra money.

Police said they tracked Nwobodo through investigating the Uber that had conveyed Felicia.

The suspect was arrested on May 13, but he was released at the time because police said there was not enough evidence to charge him for Felicia’s disappearance.

But during a search of his apartment, Sherlocks said that there were blood stains all over his Richmond Avenue apartment, including the hallway floor outside the bathroom, and throughout the bedroom. Authorities said that a test carried out on the blood showed a match to Johnson’s DNA profile.

Investigators also said that photos of a dismembered body were also found on Nwobodo’s phone, but the victims in the photos were not identified and no metadata was associated with them, KHOU reports.

After searching the phone, police also found DNA and blood that strongly match the victim inside Nwobodo’s apartment.

It was reported that over the next three weeks after the incident, Nwobodo allegedly searched online multiple times for how to destroy evidence. He also searched "how to kill without getting caught," "how to be a serial killer,'' "what does bleach do to blood" and "most forested part of Houston."

Nwobodo was previously accused of sexual assault in November 2020, police said. A woman claimed he tried to rape her in his vehicle. She got out and broke free after he chased her down and grabbed her wrist, the woman said in the probable cause affidavit. Police said she later denied there was any violence or sexual assault. She said she did not want to press charges, and just wanted to go home, Law&Crime reports.
Fox News adds:
Nwobodo allegedly agreed to pay Johnson $500 to meet up with her over Snapchat, according to court records obtained by FOX 26 Houston.
And from RevoltTV:
Twenty-four-year-old Felicia Johnson reportedly decided to make some extra money while in town for her birthday and auditioned at Cover Girls Night Club on West Little York Road. She was last seen leaving the venue with an unknown person.
Some professions are unfortunately more dangerous than others.

'Savage monster' accused of decapitating pregnant ex-girlfriend, throwing head in dumpster
[NYPOST] A pregnant Illinois woman was decapitated at her home, where her head was discovered in a dumpster — and her ex-boyfriend has been charged in the brutal murder, authorities said.
"If I can't have you nobody can!"
Deundrea Holloway, 22, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the death of Liese Dodd, also 22, whose remains were found Thursday in her Alton home, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported.
So nobody did.
He also was hit with two counts of intentional homicide of an unborn child, dismembering a human body, concealment of a homicide and possessing a stolen vehicle.
They're throwing the book at him, until his attorney negotiates a plea deal.
The head of the nearly eight-months-pregnant woman was found in the dumpster outside her apartment, according to the newspaper.

"What was observed, what was learned, what was found, is absolutely terrible," Alton Police Chief Marcos Pulido said, the Post-Dispatch reported. "She was decapitated by a freaking savage monster."

Dodd’s mother, Heidi Noel, discovered the horrific scene on Bolivar Street when she went to check on her Thursday after she had not heard from the woman — who was expecting her first child, a baby girl, on July 27, according to the paper.

The family had reportedly been planning a shower for the baby, whose wish list included a pink princess crib sheet.

Officials have not said if the murder suspect — who Pulido said had "an on-and-off" relationship with Dodd for about two years — was the unborn baby’s father.

But the grief-stricken mother told KMOV that Holloway was not the father.

Noel described Dodd as a bright, loving soul with a "beautiful smile."

"She was just a bright light that cared for everyone. She had a big heart. She’d do anything for anyone. She’d go out of her way to help people," Noel told KMOV.

"She had attended college and was planning on going into the medical field. I’m a nurse, and, so, she was towing with heading in that direction," she said.

"We were planning her baby shower for the end of this month. I had just sent out invitations the prior Saturday for the baby shower. We were just excited and gathering the items you need to have a baby," Noel continued.

"She wasn’t set on a name yet. [She] said ’my little bean.’ So, we essentially were calling the baby ’baby bean,’" she added.

Noel told KMOV that she had been checking on her daughter every day because of the tumultuous nature of her relationship with Holloway — and decided to head over to the apartment because "there was quite a time span that she hadn’t responded to me."

The suspect, who lives on South Jefferson Street in Litchfield, was arrested Thursday afternoon by Gillespie police in connection with an unrelated case — a bicycle theft 30 miles from the murder scene, the Post-Dispatch reported.

Police arrested Holloway based on a description provided by the bike’s owner.

The man was combative and uncooperative at the cop shoppe, where he also tried to bang his head against a wall, Gillespie Police Chief Jared DePoppe told the paper.

Holloway, who refused to provide his name, was booked into jail as a "John Doe," according to DePoppe, who said the theft suspect had no blood on his clothes or any other marks that would suggest he had been involved in a far worse crime.

But jail officials soon realized the man was wanted in the brutal murder.

Holloway has no convictions for assault or other violence, according to the Post-Dispatch, but he did rob a friend of cash three years ago on their way to buy marijuana, Macoupin County State’s Attorney Jordan Garrison told the paper.

He was sentenced to two years’ probation and ordered to pay $900 in restitution, according to the report.

Litchfield Police Chief Kenny Ryker told the outlet that the suspect had a few traffic cases in the town of about 7,000 but that police didn’t have "frequent encounters" with him.

Dodd’s mother expressed relief that the accused killer has been charged.

"I’m glad that he’s off the streets, and that is my big hope is that he’s no longer able to do this to anyone else," Noel told KMOV, adding that she is planning a celebration of life for Dodd and her baby.

"I truly appreciate the support, and I just wish she would’ve known how loved she was," she told the outlet.

"That she wouldn’t have ever been alone, [and] that she could’ve gotten out of this relationship and had a full life," Noel added.

Accused Buffalo supermarket shooter Payton Gendron charged with federal hate crimes
[NYPOST] The white teen who rubbed out 10 black people in the race-fueled Buffalo supermarket massacre has been charged with federal hate crimes, according to a criminal complaint filed Wednesday.

Payton Gendron, 18, was hit with 26 counts of hate crimes and firearms offenses — some of which carry a potential death penalty
— in the wake of the May 14 shooting rampage.

US Attorney General Merrick Garland
...Attorney General of the U.S., who classifies indignant parents as domestic terrorists. The is the respected legal scholar Obama nominated for the Supreme Court...
, who had vowed to investigate the shooting as a hate crime and racially motivated violent mostly peaceful extremism, traveled to the scene of the massacre on Wednesday to address the charges and visit the families of the slain victims.

He placed a bouquet of flowers at a memorial outside the store, which has been shuttered since the shooting.

The avowed white supremacist was already facing life in prison without parole if convicted on previously filed state charges over the attack at Tops Friendly Market that left 10 dead and three others injured.

Remember, this POS will get free room, meals, medical care and Cable TV for the rest of his life all at taxpayer expense. In a liberal state that has done away with the Death Penalty.

The irony is this POS can thank the same Black victim families for this. As they will be actually be paying taxes to keep him alive and comfortable.

But I suspect he will probably die within 6 months after falling on his sharpen tooth brush in the prison yard.

Gorsuch goes woke and joins the libs yet again…
[RevolverNews] On Wednesday morning, the Court delivered its ruling in the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo v. Texas case. The case is one of countless disputes over the exact rights that Indian tribes have to ignore state laws on their reservations. When the Ysleta tribe came under federal jurisdiction close to forty years ago, it was done with the understanding that the tribe would not use its new federal status to open casinos with slot machines and other forms of high-stakes gambling illegal under Texas law. But later, the Ysleta reneged on this understanding, and sought to create casinos by calling their slot machines “electronic bingo.”

Despite a 6-3 conservative majority on the Court, the case was a win for the Court’s more liberal faction. Justices Amy Coney Barrett and Neil Gorsuch (who authored the decision) joined with Elena Kagan, Stephen Breyer, and Sonia Sotomayor to uphold the Ysleta’s ability to offer their sham bingo games. As Chief Justice Roberts notes in his dissent, this electronic bingo is "about as close to real bingo as Bingo the famous dog."

Troublingly, Gorsuch’s opinion doesn’t simply dwell on the strict legal dimensions of the case, but waxes about centuries of harm allegedly inflicted on American Indians by the state of Texas.

Understanding does not equal contract. It reverts to what Congress has granted by law to the indigenous people who are on recognized tribal lands. Is that really tough to comprehend? /rhet question.

Rapper Roddy Ricch leads 'F—k the NYPD' chant after gun raps dismissed
[NYPOST] Rapper Roddy Ricch performed at Hot 97’s Summer Jam on Sunday — when he led the crowd in a "F—k the NYPD" chant just hours after gun possession charges against him were dropped in Queens.

The Grammy-winning artist, whose real name is Rodrick Moore, had been busted at a security checkpoint outside the Governors Ball festival at Citi Field on Saturday night after a security guard found a loaded Canik 9mm stashed under the front passenger seat of the black 2020 Cadillac Escalade he was in.

A large-capacity magazine that contained nine rounds of ammunition was also found, police sources said.

Moore, 23, was arrested along with two other men in the car — Carlos Collins, 57, of New Jersey and Michael Figueroa, 46, of Brooklyn — and charged with felony gun possession raps, cops said.

But the next morning, the "Die Young" performer was released and the charges against him and Collins dropped in a move that the Queens District Attorney’s Office and police refused to explain.

Law-enforcement sources said the charges were dropped because prosecutors found Figueroa had the gun in his waistband and then stashed it under the front passenger seat of the car when a security guard asked to search the vehicle.

"This is typical street stuff. ... The ’f—k the NYPD’ comments are typical," a Manhattan detective with 20 years on the job told The Post on Tuesday. "The cops probably treated him great."

Another senior law-enforcement source groused, "Loaded illegal gun with extended mag in [the] car, but no big deal in New York City anymore. Let’s just apologize for wasting his time."

The bust prevented Moore from performing at Governors Ball, but he took the stage at the city radio station’s Summer Jam, where he led the expletive-laden chant for a few beats before launching into a song.

The crowd obliged Moore’s chant and repeated "F—k the NYPD" a couple of times before the song began.

NSBA 'imploding,' 'getting everything it deserves,' following mass state exodus: Education activists
[FoxNews] With the Wisconsin Association of School Boards' (WASB) decision to cut ties with the National School Boards Association (NSBA), more than half of the nation's state school board associations have withdrawn from the group since it sent a letter to the Justice Department to investigate parents for "domestic terrorism."

"Parents have seen the inside of the public school beast and understand better than ever who is feeding this beast, and are responding with a loud voice of not my child, not on my watch," Moms for America Senior Director Quisha King told Fox News Digital. "US State school boards associations are seeing the reactions of parents in many ways, from speaking up at school board meetings to getting their children out of these classrooms and state school boards know they do not want more problems with parents across America."

The NSBA's infamous letter to the Justice Department in September 2021 asked for parents protesting at school board meetings to be federally looked into, saying school officials were facing threats and violence at meetings. The letter requested that actions should be examined under the Patriot Act as domestic terrorism. The NSBA later apologized for the letter's language.

A recent independent review found that the NSBA letter was even more extreme in draft form, calling for the deployment of the Army National Guard and the military police to monitor school board meetings.

"Actions by the NSBA's leadership last fall needlessly harmed school board relationships and inflamed partisan tensions," the WASB said in a statement issued to its members. "Those actions caused more than half of the state school board organizations across the nation to distance themselves from the NSBA or drop membership entirely."

"Hmmm. How does the NSBA still continue to operate if they only have a few states left as members?" the Moms for Liberty account tweeted with news of Nebraska's exit. The question was on the minds of many education activists.

"We're halfway there," Corey DeAngelis, national director of research for the American Federation for Children, told Fox News Digital. "It's about time the ‘National’ School Boards Association seriously considered renaming itself. Perhaps it's now time to call them the ‘Semi-National’ School Boards Association since half of the states have decided to cut ties with the NSBA."

Nicole Neily, president of Parents Defending Education, similarly applauded the mass exodus, but feared it won't solve the "underlying problem."

"While it's good that over half of the state affiliates have left NSBA, new organizations will spring up in its place, and the underlying problem will still remain: publicly-supported trade associations which claim to represent the views of their constituents are in fact ideologically-captured entities working at cross-purposes to what the majority of American people actually want," Neily said. "It's time to cut off the spigot to these institutions so our tax dollars aren't weaponize against us in the future ever again."

Fight for Schools executive director Ian Prior also predicted another, just as problematic entity will rise in its place.

"The NSBA is getting everything it deserves for colluding with the Biden Administration to weaponize federal law enforcement to track down parents exercising their First Amendment rights by speaking up at school board meetings," Prior told Fox Digital. "But while the NSBA is imploding, the equally anti-parent state school board associations are continuing to work against parents and will ultimately regroup into an NSBA-like organization and it will be important for parents to continue to exercise citizen oversight over any replacement organization and its state members."

The NSBA did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.

Parents protested at school board meetings across the country the past two years to criticize COVID-19 related measures and to speak out on how schools were teaching race, including whether schools were employing the controversial critical race theory.

The Texas Association of School Boards was one of several to cut ties with the NSBA following last month's independent investigation of the letter to the Biden administration last year.

"We have been intently waiting for the release of this independent investigation for nearly two months. With this report now available, it’s clear that NSBA’s internal processes and controls do not meet the good governance practices that TSBA expects and requires in a member organization," TASB Executive Director Dan Troxell said.

In earlier defensive statements about the controversy, the NSBA said that, other than review by four Board Officers, "the letter was not widely reviewed or approved within the organization, and the finalized letter was not disclosed to the full NSBA Board of Directors or NSBA members until after it was submitted."

However, the former interim executive director and CEO of the NSBA Chip Slaven said it wasn't true that higher-ups were completely in the dark about the letter in a recent Fox News Digital interview, adding that he felt "backstabbed" after the group appeared to pin the blame on him in its apology.

"I felt betrayed, I guess, by [some of the] officers… when they issued the apology, announced the apology, and didn't bother to at least tell me," he said. "And the excuse given… was not enough time or too late or something like that. That was bull. [They] just chose not to include me."

Woman strapped to gurney fires gun in Conroe, Texas, ER
[NYPOST] A woman strapped to a gurney on her way to a mental health checkup at a Texas hospital was able to take out a stashed gun and open fire inside an emergency room, police said.
At least there was somebody close by to attend to the wounded,
The suspect, identified as 65-year-old Glendar Johnson-Jackson, was brought to HCA Healthcare Conroe on Tuesday for a mental health evaluation after allegedly causing a disturbance at a local business, news station ABC 13 reported.
"Hmmm... What's your assessment, Doctor Bones?"
"She's a lunatic, Doctor Casey."

She was strapped to a stretcher in the hallway, with her arms and legs secured, when police said she somehow got hold of a small-caliber gun from a waistband-style holster concealed under her dress.
"Lookout! She's got a small-caliber gun!"
Police said Jackson-Johnson squeezed off two rounds before an EMS worker wrestled the gun out of her hands.
[CONK!] (Sound of O2 bottle hitting crazy woman skull)
"Gimme dat gun!"

Conroe Police Chief Jeff Christy commended the paramedic’s "heroic" actions, which he said "likely saved innocent lives."
"I figgered she needed some O2 therapy."
"She'll be better for it, once she comes to."

Johnson-Jackson now faces charges of felony deadly conduct and a misdemeanor count of unlawful carry of a weapon in a prohibited place, according to Montgomery County jail records.
And she has a splitting headache.
She was medically cleared to be booked into the county jail, where she remained Wednesday.
"Into da paddy wagon wit' yez, missy."
The hospital later released a statement addressing the shooting incident.
"Don't shoot up our emergency room."
"HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe is aware of an incident that occurred in our emergency department earlier today," it read in part. "There were no injuries sustained. We are committed to high-quality care and maintaining patient and colleague safety."
"So don't bring no guns."
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office has launched an internal investigation to determine how Jackson-Johnson was allowed to be brought into the hospital with a gun hidden on her person after being detained by deputies.
Umm... It was hidden? EMS personnel aren't allowed to frisk patients.

Military postal system plans to end mail privileges for overseas military retirees
[Stars and Stripes] CAMP HUMPHREYS, South Korea — Military retirees, Red Cross workers and some government employees living and working overseas will lose access to the military mail service starting Aug. 24, a postal service superintendent said Wednesday.

The Defense Department in May directed the Military Postal Service Agency to end service for those customers, James Groff, the postal superintendent at Camp Humphreys, told Stars and Stripes by phone. He said he did not know what categories of government employees would also be affected.

The change is scheduled to affect all Air/Army Post Office, or APO, and Fleet Post Office, or FPO, addresses worldwide.

Groff said his office received notice of the looming changes on Friday and that the guidance could still change.

Meanwhile, the reaction in the military postal service community, which employs dozens of military retirees, has been fierce, he said.

"There’s other retirees that are affected all over the place," Groff said. "I spoke to one retiree, and you wouldn’t want to quote the language he used."

The overseas military post offices provide mail service for service members, civilian Defense Department employees and some contractors. Groff said he was unaware of any changes to service for those people. Mail sent to U.S. military bases overseas is handled exclusively by the U.S. Postal Service, which charges domestic postage rates regardless of its destination.

Sunsetting mail privileges for overseas military retirees would force many of them to rely on their host nation postal services for their mail delivery. Some overseas retirees, for example, rely on the military mail service to provide timely delivery of medications from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

The Military Postal Service Agency, an extension of the Postal Service, was created in 1980 to consolidate postal operations from all military services, according to the U.S. Postal Service handbook. The agency operates in 63 countries and on 626 ships.

#1  Mail sent to U.S. military bases overseas is handled exclusively by the U.S. Postal Service, which charges domestic postage rates regardless of its destination.

Because the facilities are stateside where the mail is transferred from the Postal Service to the military which then does the transport and delivery overseas. Who gets to use it usually was dependent upon the Status of Forces Agreement with the host nations.

#2  Added to the long list of quietly broken promises since 1968 when I raised my right hand.

As an aside. we have approximately 430 ships in the Navy (per Google) but the Military Postal Service operates on 626 ships?

#3  The country I was posted to in the 70s had no SOFA coverage for retirees. As courtesy, the command extended authorization to receive and send letter size mail because the country's postal service, acknowledged by the locals, was a wreck. That was suppose to make sure they got their checks. The only other facilities the retirees were given access to was the AAFES run food facility. That was before the active personnel were moved from payday lines into check to bank. It's been 30 years since that was implemented.

New Covid wave explained as virus now 'more dangerous' and top 3 UK hotspots revealed
[Mirror] "It looks as though these things are switching back to the more dangerous form of infection, so going lower down in the lung," Dr Stephen Griffin, a virologist at the University of Leeds, told the Guardian.

In response to whether the virus is on the verge of turning into the common cold, he added: "It clearly isn’t, and there’s no pressure on it to do that, really."
We’ll see.

#1  Either we are finally seeing real Covid-19 numbers, or it has mutated to a less deadly strain.

EXAMPLE, using June 15th, for the years 2021 & 2022.

Infections
June 15, 2021 = 375,759
June 15, 2022 = 601,922
Infection UP +60.18%

Deaths
June 15, 2021 = 9,329
June 15, 2022 = 1,382
Deaths Down -85.18%

In the 2021 the odds of dying if infected were 2.42%.
In 2022 the odds if infected are 0.33% . WAY DOWN

BTW:
Using todays Covid-19/22 7 day tracking data
The USA is number #1 again for infections with 694,846 reported infections, and 2,321 claimed deaths over the last 7 days. Also, 0.33% for the week.

Millions face another day of dangerous, record-setting heat from Midwest to Southeast
[NYPOST] Wednesday will be another day of dangerous, record-setting heat for millions of Americans from the Midwest to the Southeast.

This will be especially dangerous for hundreds of thousands of people in the Ohio Valley who still don’t have power after a derecho punched through the region on Monday.

NOAA’s Weather Prediction Center says far-reaching Excessive Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories remain in place from Michigan to northern Florida as the extensive heat wave continues for another day.

In addition, the humidity will drive the heat index well above 100 degrees once again.

The NWS says the excessive heat will ease some as we get into Thursday across the upper Midwest, but much of the region will continue to see above-average, record-setting temperatures continuing through the end of the week.

Let’s take a closer look at some of the high temperatures on Wednesday.

Temperatures will generally be in the 90s across the region, with several areas getting to or above 100 degrees.

St. Louis and Nashville, Tennessee, for example, will see a high temperature Wednesday afternoon of 99 degrees.

Texas summer camp shooter stopped by quick thinking staff, fast police response
[FoxNews] A quick-thinking Texas summer camp counselor helped slow down a gunman who walked onto the campus and opened fire before police, who responded quickly, took out the shooter before any children were harmed.

Police have identified 42-year-old Brandon Keith Ned of Dallas, Texas as the shooter and have not yet determined a possible motive for the shooting.

Police say they started receiving calls at 8:43 a.m. that a man had fired shots at the Duncanville Fieldhouse, where a summer camp with roughly 250 children is housed. Two minutes later, officers arrived at the scene and neutralized the shooter after a summer school staffer engaged with the shooter as kids were locked down, WFAA-TV reported.

The camp counselor confronted the suspected gunman in the lobby of the school as the children were ushered by staff to an area behind locked doors where the gunman could not enter, Duncanville Assistant Police Chief Matthew Stogner told WFAA-TV.

"[He] did fire one round inside the classroom where there were children inside," Stogner said. "Fortunately, no one was injured."

When officers arrived, the gunman had moved to the gymnasium where children were reportedly present. At that time, officers exchanged fire with the suspect and neutralized him. He was taken to the hospital with injuries where he later died.

"Our officers did not hesitate," Duncanville Mayor Barry Gordon said. "They did what they were trained to do and saved lives."

After the restoration of combat readiness, separate units of the 8th All-Military Army of the Southern Military District were introduced in the districts of Komyshuvakha and Popasna.

The leadership of the Russian law enforcement agencies continues to take measures to attract additional human resources to the war against Ukraine by increasing payments and introducing short-term contracts, with the possibility of their extension.

The enemy continues to use enterprises in the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region to restore and repair damaged weapons and military equipment.

According to available information, in the city of Belgorod and the region there is an additional involvement of medical workers from other regions of the Russian Federation to work with wounded servicemen. All this indicates the significant losses of the Russian occupiers.

#1  The Ukrainian spin has gone from laughable to pathetic. In just 14 days Ukrainian authorities have raised their casualty figures four times, from "60 to 100" per day to "100 to 200," then to "200-500", and then they doubled that figure again.

Yesterday, the Ukrainian member of parliament who leads their negotiating efforts admitted the true number is now 1,000 Ukrainian killed or wounded every day -- in the Donbas alone.

Ukraine suffering up to 1,000 casualties per day in Donbas, official says
Dave Lawler
AXIOS
June 15, 2022

Up to 1,000 Ukrainian soldiers are being killed or wounded each day in the Donbas region of eastern Ukraine, with 200 to 500 killed on average and many more wounded, a top Ukrainian official said on Wednesday.

The big picture: President Volodymyr Zelensky said on June 1 that 60 to 100 Ukrainian troops were being killed daily as Russia stepped up its Donbas offensive. Over the past two weeks that number has climbed significantly according to David Arakhamia, who leads Ukraine's negotiations with Russia and is one of Zelensky's closest advisers.

#2  This means the true number of daily losses across Ukraine is even higher than 1,000. They're also suffering casualties in the south and west, in Kherson and from strikes on munitions and ammo stores. The true number of killed and wounded each day is probably closer to 1,300.

This exceeds by a wide margin anything that the US or any of its allies has ever experienced, on any day of fighting, in any of its wars during the past 60 years.

The American strategy of encouraging this slaughter of its supposed "ally" is beyond cynical. The Americans want to see Ukraine destroyed and carved up, and Europe reduced to bankruptcy.

#5  The Ukrainians are desperately trying to stop more of their men evading military service by fleeing to Poland.

They introduced a ban on leaving the country: any Ukrainian man aged 18 to 60 seeking to leave the country must obtain a special permit. However, half a million Ukrainian men have slipped out anyway, according to Ukraine's Border Guard: “From February 24 to June 7, 2022, a total of 3.645 million Ukrainian citizens entered Poland from Ukraine, including 432,000 Ukrainian male citizens aged 18-60 years. The Border Guard has not transferred the data of these persons to the services of Ukraine” – according to Border Guard spokesman, Lieutenant Anna Michalska.

This number is just for escapees to Poland. The Border Guard did not disclose how many Ukrainians left via Moldova or Romania.

They're actually lowering their interest rates while the US Fed are desperately trying to raise them higher and higher in order to create a recession in the US. The Russians can easily deal with sanctions; they've been dealing with them successfully for 14 years.

#10  Two more openings for western would-be soldiers of fortune - from military.com:

Two U.S. veterans were reportedly captured by Russian troops in Ukraine last week, with their families and lawmakers now working to find out what happened and whether they are in Russian custody.

The U.S. State Department confirmed that it is aware of media reports that two American citizens and veterans who were volunteers in Ukraine have been captured.
Military.com, in speaking to government officials and family members, has been able to confirm that both men, Alexander Drueke, 39, and Andy Huynh, 27, were veterans who traveled to Ukraine in April. Their families now say both have since gone missing.

Lois Drueke, Alexander's mother, told Military.com that her son was an Army veteran of eight years, left the military as a staff sergeant, and volunteered to train Ukrainians starting in April. Military.com reached out to the Army to independently verify Drueke's service history but did not immediately hear back, although Drueke's mother did share photos showing her son in uniform. Lois Drueke said that her son was part of the Army's Chemical Corps, having served two tours in Iraq."Alex did not reenlist after his second tour in Iraq," she said. "He came home with severe PTSD, and he has been searching for a purpose in life."

Local media in Huynh's home state of Alabama reported that he was a Marine veteran who left to fight in Ukraine in April after seeing images of Ukrainian teenagers battling Russian forces.

. . .Claire Finkelstein, the founder and academic director of the Center for Ethics and the Rule of Law, told Military.com in an email Wednesday that, assuming a former U.S. service member was taking orders from the Ukrainian military, wearing their uniforms, and carrying their arms openly, they would be "entitled to full POW treatment under the Geneva Conventions"

#12  The Ukrainian strategy is bizarre. They keep on making "last stands" in factories -- AzovStal, now Azov -- which only prolong the inevitable capitulation and cause more slaughter and destruction. They know there is no way on earth that a few more howizters or harpoons or tanks will change the balance. The Donbas is lost, and the Russians are targeting and destroying much of the new materiel before it even reaches the field.

Unless the Ukrainian battalions withdraw from the Donbas and reconstitute their forces in the west and south, they will not be capable of massing the quantity of concentrated forces for a successful offensive that would take back an entire region or province.

Their evident desire is to create a persistent image of every battle as a mini-Stalingrad -- not because of any strategic rationale but because they seem to think it offers the chance for more headlines and pseudo-victories in their information war.

It's as if their military strategy is being dictated by media flacks and British tabloids' headline writers.

#14  Can you blame them? The casualty rate for Ukrainian conscripts is 65%.

The Ukrainians arriving in Krakow say the war is going even worse than you can imagine. Soldiers are being chopped up like meat. They're mutinying, deserting, running to Poland or Moldova, anywhere. They say that when a group tries to surrender to the Russians, another group's officers shoot them in the back.

Yes. Absolutely. A criminal subset of Uncle Sugar's foreign service and DoD fooled them into this mess. They put their own tit in the wringer.

Maybe a bigger lesson will be learned by those watching from a somewhat safe distance.

You're right to place blame on the Western politicians who are encouraging Zelensky and the nationalists to prolong the war.

The West is defeating itself. Biden and the US Fed are bloody well destroying the United States economy and stock market, and taking Britain, Germany and the other western economics down as well.

Usually a war stimulates economic growth. Biden's war is causing a recession alongside hyperinflation. It's unbelievable what they're doing to us.

#24  Could it be the Ukrainians are letting the Russians destroy everything they take so there is little value or expensive to rebuild?

The post-communist Ukrainian thieves who dominate that kleptocracy destroyed so much value in the former state enterprises they grabbed that demolishing and starting over from scratch is hardly more expensive than trying to turn them around. The Ukrainian oligarchs' m.o. has always been to strip the assets and loot the cash flow rather than invest and reorganize and build and grow the enterprise. The shipbuilding factories in Nikolaev/Mykolayiv are one notorious example; AzovStal is another and Azot a third.

Unlike the US, Russia has a healthy fiscal balance, a current account surplus ($100 billion now) and plenty of domestic capital which they can invest in rebuilding the factories and other destroyed assets of the Donbas. The postwar economic boom will help, not hurt, the Russian economy.

Instead it's become another Afghanistan for us-- an endless sinkhole and a military disaster with tens of billions utterly wasted in just 100 days, a chaotic and corrupt "ally," and a sanctions strategy that has completely blown up in Biden's face.

The intelligent approach would be to let Russia keep their conquered wasteland regions and pay for their reconstruction with the assets the US seized ($300 billion).

In exchange for removal of US sanctions, the Russians would lay down their arms and return all prisoners. A new border would be established, behind which Russia would retreat.

Biden would resuscitate the Nixon formula from the 1973 Paris Peace Accords with the VietCong: "Peace With Honor." Zelensky and his retinue would relinquish power and be given safe passage to Tel Aviv, like Shah Rex's Pahlavi escaping to Egypt in 1979.

The reconstruction money would go to the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development, which would disburse the funding through private equity funds managed by experienced, successful direct investors in emerging economies such as Templeton or Barings Vostok. They would co-invest alongside the EBRD, sharing in the risk as well as the upside.

... because you don't follow international finance. The strength of the US dollar and the attractiveness of US treasurys and the US banking and capital markets systems generally is trust -- the investors' belief that property rights are respected and that the US government and courts will not allow foreigners' assets to be seized without cause.

The Biden regime is undermining this reputation, which was well-won over 100 years, with its criminal actions. If trust disappears, foreign governments will have no reason to hold so many fdollars or but so much of America's government debt.

Logistics with Severodonetsk is complicated. Ukrainian soldiers keep control, use all possible means to beat occupiers, - Butuso
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Censor] While in Severodonetsk, Yuriy Butusov, Editor-in-Chief of Censor.NET, published current operational information on the situation in the city.

He wrote about this on Facebook.

Butusov said: "I am in Severodonetsk. Connections and logistics are very complicated after the destruction of bridges. The enemy is shelling the crossings.

Logistics and communications have become a significant problem. For example, due to certain circumstances, I had to swim across the Seversky Donets with a full set and a backpack over my shoulders, and it is not very convenient. Supplies need to be improved immediately.

The enemy is constantly firing artillery and aircraft, Russian drones over us.

Supply and organization are needed to stay in these conditions."

Butusov continued: "The main thing is inspiring. The way Ukrainian soldiers are fighting in Severodonetsk goes far beyond the notions of duty, fighting ability, devotion and courage.

Those who are poorly supported and organized, those who succumb to fear, are long gone. But the position is held by a significant number of Ukrainian soldiers, who nevertheless remain highly combat-ready. Everyone is talking about critical moments, but all this is despair, and the desire to do better combat work.

Control is maintained, and fighters and commanders use all possible means to beat the occupiers. They do not allow themselves to be surrounded, and try to respond to the blow, despite the unfavorable balance of power. Everyday feat becomes the usual work of our fighters.

If there are sufficient funds, there are opportunities for active action. Our people are not hiding, but are actively searching for the enemy, and inflict significant losses on the Russians every day.

But counterbattery, logistics and air defense need to be strengthened."

"As for civilians at the Azot plant. 520 civilians remain at the Azot plant. They do not want to leave for some reason. Some are waiting for the end of the fighting to return to the city, some are afraid to go somewhere and have no strength.

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: June 15th, 2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] 23:18 Zelensky in an evening video message commented on the "really good" news about the third meeting in the Ramstein format: "There is another signal that Ukraine's defense support will be permanent. As part of Ramstein, Britain and Denmark announced a special donor conference in Copenhagen in August. Previously 14 states involved.

23:13 In the Sumy region, on one of the dirt roads on a Russian mine, a car was blown up - three people died on the spot, one was injured, said the head of the OVA Dmitry Zhivitsky. He also said that this afternoon the Russians fired at the Novoslobodskaya community twice from mortars and artillery, in addition, there were single shots at the Esmanskaya and Belopolskaya communities.

In the evening, two enemy helicopters from the territory of the Russian Federation fired five missiles at the outskirts of Glukhov. The rocket hit a residential building, one person died, six were injured. Damaged infrastructure facilities.

23:08 US Department of Defense spokesman Todd Bressail said that Washington has allocated about $5.6 billion to Ukraine since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion on February 24.

22:44 Zaluzhny said that the enemy had concentrated its main strike forces in the north of the Lugansk region and was trying to attack simultaneously in nine directions.

22:42 Zelensky said in an evening video message that in all international contacts he hears admiration for the actions of Ukrainian defenders and defenders: "The world really wants to learn from Ukrainians how to fight and how to win. Over the 112 days of this war, the Ukrainian army has proved that courage and wisdom on the battlefield, together with the ability to tactically outplay the enemy, they give a significant result, even despite the significant advantage of the Russian army in the number of soldiers and equipment.

22:39 Zelensky said that he spoke with Johnson, discussed the situation on the battlefield, Ukraine's defense needs and food security threats.

22:36 Canada will provide Ukraine with ten interchangeable barrels for M777 artillery pieces as part of new military assistance worth 9 million Canadian dollars (7 million US dollars), Defense Minister Anita Anand said.

22:32 The head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, said that the US and allies have trained 60 Ukrainian troops in the handling of HIMARS and 420 in M777 howitzers. In addition, training is underway in the development of armored personnel carriers and drones. Milli also said that the international community has provided Ukraine with 97 thousand anti-tank systems - "more than tanks in the world."

According to Milli, Ukraine uses artillery more efficiently and is better at fighting tactically than Russia: “It is clear that Russia has more artillery than Ukraine. Estimates vary: someone says 45 to one, 20 to one, 10 to one. But on in fact, no one knows exactly what the numbers are. Although, in fact, there are more in Russia, unfortunately. But this is not a war of numbers."

According to the general, the Russians use artillery to aimlessly cover cities with fire: "Russia just shoots to shoot - without achieving any military goals."

21:40 A Russian rocket hit a wagon with humanitarian aid World Cental the Kitchen, which was provided for Mariupol residents in the centers of Yamariupol , said Petr Andryushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of the city.

21:35 The construction of temporary granaries in Poland on the border with Ukraine will take up to four months, said Polish Minister of Agriculture Henryk Kowalczyk. According to him, Biden's proposal to provide infrastructure for the export of grain on the Polish-Ukrainian border is "extremely interesting," but many practical issues need to be resolved in order to implement it.

Currently, Poland can ensure the export of about 1.5 million tons of grain from Ukraine per month, while the need is about 5 million. "Such investments can be completed in three to four months," Kowalczyk said.

21:31 The Ukrainian military has completed training on the HIMARS MLRS, and by the end of June Ukraine will receive them for defense in the Donbass, General Mark Milley, head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, said following the Ramstein-3 meeting. He also listed the total amount of US aid to Ukraine:

  • more than 60 thousand Javelins,

  • over 5000 Stingers,

  • over 700 Switchblade drones,

  • 20 Mi-17 helicopters,

  • hundreds of thousands of ammunition for small arms.

21:23 Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev said that Russia seeks to end hostilities in Ukraine as soon as possible: "Russia is interested in reaching political and diplomatic agreements as soon as possible, which would allow to stop hostilities. However, the negotiations between Moscow and Kiev are frozen by the Ukrainian side" . At the same time, he stressed that the negotiations were frozen at the insistence of the United States and Great Britain.

In general, of course, the next battle after the general battle for the Donbass will be the Kharkov-Sumy operation. Without the liberation of this region and the destruction of the Kharkiv-Sumy grouping of the enemy, there can be no talk of any calmness in the border regions of the Russian Federation.

16:28 Ukrainian sources report that during the battles for Kyiv, as a result of "friendly fire", about 100 soldiers were killed in total.

Three events on the outskirts of Kyiv turned out to be one of the most publicized incidents with the opening of fire on friendly troops in the Ukrainian army at that time: the destruction of a convoy of trucks near the Beresteyskaya metro station, the shooting of a Ural from a Zu-23-2 in Obolon, and the shelling of the Strela- ten."

All these incidents were presented by Ukrainian propaganda as the destruction of the mythical "Russian DRGs". 13:35 The battle for Severodonetsk: the situation as of 13:00 on June 15, 2022:

RF Armed Forces physically cut off the industrial zone of Severodonetsk and the Azot plant from the Proletarsky Bridge destroyed by the Armed Forces of Ukraine themselves.

At the moment, the command of the allied group of forces decided to give the Armed Forces of Ukraine, territorial defense units and foreign mercenaries to show prudence and go out along the humanitarian corridor. According to official figures from the Ukrainian authorities, up to 10,000 civilians may be in the territory controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the People's Militia of the LPR, up to two and a half thousand military personnel and foreign mercenaries are holding the defense on the territory of the industrial zone.

However, the first day of the truce was disrupted: no one was released through the humanitarian corridor.

The Ukrainian command has begun a partial withdrawal of the most combat-ready Ukrainian units across the Leninsky bridge near Sirotino: some of the servicemen of the 81st Detachment and 79th Brigade left the residential areas last night.

This order does not apply to "cannon fodder" from among foreign mercenaries and territorial defense units. In the industrial zone and Sirotino, the 3rd company of the 109th Fire Brigade of the 10 Fire Brigade, the 2nd and 3rd battalions of the 115th Brigade are holding the defense.

The Ukrainian units were ordered to open fire on any civilians caught in the transfer of coordinates and sympathy for the RF Armed Forces and the NM of the LPR.

Fierce fighting continues in Sirotino with reinforcements deployed to the eastern bank of the Seversky Donets (river). Behind Sirotino is the only bridge across the river, which remained at the disposal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: however, it is unsuitable for heavy equipment, since it is in disrepair.

The Leninsky Bridge itself is under full fire control of the RF Armed Forces.

The defense of Severodonetsk is directed from the headquarters in Novodruzhesk. The main task is the same: the Ukrainian troops locked in the industrial zone must gain time to prepare for the defense of Lysichansk.

13:30 Boiler for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Gorsky-Zolotoye. In the LPR, the Allies liberated the settlement. Vrubovka and immediately launched an offensive on the settlement. Novoivanovka, which is now being fought over.

After the liberation of this village from the Armed Forces of Ukraine, to get out of this crucible, only the R-66 highway to Lisichansk will remain. But even now this road is under the fire control of the NM of the LPR and the RF Armed Forces. With every passing hour, the probability of the APU exiting the coming cauldron is melting, but they can still try to implement a “heroic breakthrough”

13:11 Shelling was recorded from the side of the VFU in the direction:

— n.p. Dyleevka - n.p. Golmovsky: nine shells of 152mm caliber were fired;

Vladimir Putin seen shaking in latest video
[NYPOST] Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
was once again seen shaking and struggling to stand during an awards ceremony at the Kremlin — sparking renewed questions about the Russian leader’s possible declining health.

Video captured the president appearing unstable, swaying back and forth, after he awarded filmmaker Nikita Mikhailov the State Prize of the Russian Federation on Sunday, the UK’s Express reported.

Putin, 69, also shook his legs as he stood near the podium with his arms straight by his side.

The alarming footage emerged after his doctors have reportedly advised him not to make any "lengthy’’ public appearances because of his "unstable health.’’

The claim was made on the Telegram channel General SVR, which is purportedly run by a Kremlin military source.

Economy
Another Shortage Looming - Very Bad
[NewsOn6] Truck drivers already struggling with extremely high fuel prices are also dealing with more expensive Diesel Exhaust Fluid, which is a key product needed for most everything that runs on diesel.

Truck drivers with newer models must fill up their DEF tank about every other fueling, which is more expensive.

Now, there's a possibility of some shortages, which is adding to the problems.

"We used to spend about $500 a week on fuel, we’re now spending $1,200," said Larry Miles.

Larry Miles has been driving a truck since 1959.

He now works in the safety department at John Christner Trucking and said the prices of fuel and now DEF are really hurting truckers.

"About every other fueling, you have to duel your DEF tank up," Miles said.
This shortage is connected to Russia's invasion of the Ukraine. A lot of the input material for this product is made in Ukraine and Russia. If shortages become severe it threatens all products delivered by trucks, including food.

#3  This also affects farmers - all the modern tractors use DEF. Going to need that to get the crops out of the fields. Possibly a contributing factor to why planting is far behind schedule as compared with last year.

And speaking of shortages - learned about the shortage of CT contrast dye for use in hospitals for radiology. Presumably many other shortages lurking below the surface as well

#6  all the modern tractors use DEF.

My 2021 Kubota 4701 does not.

It is engineered to collect exhaust emission 'soot'. After a time (shorter for low RPM like plowing, longer for high RPM work like mowing) the engine goes into a 'regeneration' stage of high RPM and cleanly burns the residue.

#7  ...Saw a thought on the DEF situation the other day - there is probably a reasonably simple hack that could be used to bypass the DEF system in the event of a no-sh!t emergency. BUT...the bureaucrats will die on that hill: they will say 1) we can't damage the environment no matter how bad it is, and 2) they will be in mortal terror that we'll refuse to go back to using the stuff.

#8  Ummm, your 4701 is not capable of large scale ag use as it is a compact tractor. I believe large scale production is what Slenter was referring to. Neither my 5100 or 040 use DEF, but they are small by comparison to the big equipment.

#10  I asked Mr. Wife about setting up urea production in America. He said the process itself is explained in Wikipedia. The issue is that it takes two to three years to get a factory up and running once all the plans have been approved.

That sounds to me like under a President Trump the process would take about 25 months from conception to ribbon cutting, but while President Biden inhabits the White House no dirty pee-factories will be allowed.

#21  Murcek/17. Not trolling … don’t have a union card. Boeing is slowing production of their aircraft by 1/3 as the processed (not raw) titanium products come from Russia. And 20% of US energy comes from nuclear power plants - 40% of the uranium pellets (not sure of the nomenclature) come from Russia. There are other places to buy aluminum, diesel friendly crude, steel, wheat, etc. but probably not at the same price and with uneven quality. If the US really believes sanctions work then the government should consider eliminating the loopholes that allow us to buy so many things on the grey market - and indirectly fund both sides of the war in Ukraine

#23  Biden and Jerome Powell have completely screwed themselves by pretending that it's an excess demand issue that requires slamming the brakes on money creation i.e. raising the borrowing rate. But the time for throttling demand passed over a year ago, when Biden and other leaders were flooding the economy with trillions in free money for their people. That terrible decision was made and the damage can't be undone.

Right now, the only way out of the horrific stagflation trap is to solve the supply (shortage) issue.

The fastest way to flood the world markets with supply is by ending sanctions on Russia, immediately. Currently the West overlays for crude while China and Indua receive Russian crude at a 25% discount. Ending sanctions would drop the world oil price by at least 15% very rapidly, and even more for the Western nations.

The same logic applies to the price of food and most other global commodities. Clamping down on supply from the world's largest exporter during a time of hyperinflation was probably the stupidest policy mistake of our lifetimes.

2000 - 3000 estimate. Best sounding cause is that it has been mild - cool and rainy in fact - and went straight to 100+ almost literally overnight, and they couldn't acclimate fast enough. All speculation so salt the why accordingly.

Sony may soon introduce a professional version of the PS5 controller
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[REGNUM] Sony may soon introduce a "professional" controller for the PlayStation 5 console. This was announced on June 15 by the Eurogamer portal.

Well-known insider Tom Henderson claims that a certain source of his, who wished to remain anonymous, provided him with images of a prototype of this device. The new "professional" controller will keep the DualSense design, but will get a number of differences. For example, it will be equipped with "detachable joysticks" , trigger limiters and detachable handles.

Henderson also mentioned that the gamepad will get something like "petals" like the Xbox Elite controller from Microsoft. He added that his source referred to the new device as a " PS5 Pro controller" and stated that it would receive "significant software updates". An insider reported that Sony may introduce this gamepad towards the end of June 2022.

Recall that in July 2021, the head of the Xbox Phil Spencer praised the DualSense controller. He acknowledged that Sony has done a serious job and noted that his company will take a closer look at the development of a competitor.

Beer may join red wine among vices with a healthy edge as a new study revealed that a lager a day, whether alcoholic or not, could help keep the gastroenterologist away -- for men, at least.
