[JPost] "Smite us now"
Two rockets launched from the Hamas-run Gaza Strip fell in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of central Israel early on Saturday morning.
"Earlier this morning, two rocket launches were identified from the Gaza Strip toward the Mediterranean. The rockets fell off the coast of the Tel Aviv Metropolitan Area. According to protocol, no sirens were sounded and no interception took place," the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement.
The rockets were the first to be launched in the New Year and were heard in the cities of Tel Aviv, Holon, Bat Yam and Rishon Lezion.
According to reports, one rocket fell near Tel Aviv while the other landed near Palmachim, south of the city. There were no injuries and, despite the smoke seen off the coast, no reports of damage.
Army Radio reported that Egypt has sent a message to Israel that the rocket fire was not intentional and IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kohavi held situational assessments regarding the rocket fire.

[Bus Insider] During the Vietnam War, the US military relied heavily on special-operations forces to wage what was a predominately unconventional conflict.
Individual units, such as the Army Green Berets, Navy SEALs, and Air Commandos, supported the war strategy, but the Pentagon also created a dedicated special-operations organization.
Military Assistance Command Vietnam-Studies and Observations Group (MACV-SOG) was a covert special-operations unit that conducted operations in Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, North Vietnam, and elsewhere.
Their highly classified missions came at a cost. The unit had a 100% casualty rate, meaning all its members were wounded at least once or killed in action. The outsize risk they faced was matched by their effectiveness. Time and again, MACV-SOG teams achieved great results.

Until January, it was routine to deport violent foreign criminals as soon as they finished their prison sentences. The feds slapped a detainer on the thugs and grabbed them up as they were released from custody.
It was standard operating procedure — common sense. What kind of nation allows foreign career criminals to remain in a civilized society?

Beverly Hills Guns has seen upscale residents from Santa Monica to the Hollywood Hills increasingly buying guns amid a rise in crime
Many are self-declared progressives, who've never even held a gun before, but who've been spooked by soaring crime in their ritzy neighborhood
Some have also discussed more elaborate security measures, such as armored cars, safe rooms and bulletproof glass
Hollywood's violent crime rate is up 25 percent over last year, with the homicide rate doubling and shootings up 54.2 percent over last year
The city has been plagued by a rash in slash-and-grab lootings that first began after Black Lives Matter protests ended with a riot on Rodeo Drive
More recently, a man taking out his garbage on Thursday was attacked by four or five suspects and his disabled son was zip-tied as they ransacked his home
Beverly Hills has now hired two private security firms to patrol neighborhoods alongside the police
Residents are also forming their own patrol groups as District Attorney George Gascon faces another recall effort for the rise in crime

Congratulations! You now own a magic talisman that will protect you from crime and evil. There's a catch though - you have to learn how to use it.
It's not hard, but you do have to spend the time and energy learning how to shoot. Worse, you have to develop a martial mindset that will enable you to respond appropriately instead of just melting in a stressful situation. Good luck and try not to shoot yourself!

[OneIndia] The Special Investigation Agency (SIA) of Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... Police filed its first charge sheet against nine people, including a separatist, in a case related to "selling" of MBBS seats
...whatever those are...
in Pakistain to Kashmiri students and using the money to support and fund terrorism, officials said on Thursday, according to a PTI report.
The case was registered by the Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK), a branch of the police's CID, in July last year after receiving information through reliable sources that several unscrupulous people, including some separatists, were hand in glove with some educational consultancies and were "selling" Pakistain-based MBBS seats and seats in other professional courses in colleges and universities.
The CIK, which has been designated as the SIA now, filed its charge sheet before a court against Mohammad Akbar Bhat alias Zaffar Akbar Bhat, the chairman of Salvation Movement,
...it’s been a while since we heard that name...
a constituent of hardline Hurriyat Conference.
Others named in the chargesheet are Abdul Jabbar, Fatima Shah, Altaf Ahmad Bhat Qazi Yasir, Mohammad Abdullah Shah, Sabzar Ahmad Sheikh, Manzoor Ahmad Shah, Syed Khalid Geelani and Mohd Iqbal Mir of Mahaz Azadi Front.
During investigation, oral, documentary and technical evidence was collected and in analysis it surfaced that MBBS and other professional degrees-related seats were preferentially given to those students who were close family members or relatives of killed terrorists, they said.
Evidence also came on record to show that money had been put into channels that ended up supporting programmes and projects pertaining to terrorism and separatism, which included the unrest after the killing of Burhan Wani, the poster boy of banned Hizbul Mujahideen ...Party of Holy Warriors, founded by Muhammad Ahsan Dar in September 1989. One of the Pak sock puppets waging jihad in Indian Kashmir. It was originally organized as the armed wing of Jamaat-e-Islami. In 1990, Dar declared Hizbul as the sword arm of Jamaat. Hizbul murdered many of the pro-independence intelligentsia in Kashmir. After the organization was taken over by Syed Salahuddin Dar and several other ex-Hizb leaders were assassinated between 2001 and 2003... terror group, in 2016.
The money was also used in failed efforts to disrupt peace after the abrogation of the erstwhile state's special status in August, 2019.
[Washington Examiner] The lawyers for the late Jeffrey Epstein's former executive assistant say federal prosecutors are not pursuing sex trafficking charges against her for allegedly booking flights and handling payments between the disgraced financier and his victims. The Family will be very pleased.
"After a more than two-year investigation by the Department of Justice into Jeffrey Epstein's conduct, which included lengthy interviews of witnesses and a thorough review of relevant communications, we have been informed that no criminal charges will be brought against Lesley Groff," said attorneys for Lesley Groff, who worked as a secretary for Epstein and oversaw his travel arrangements and meeting schedule. The books needed to be kept. She still keeps the books.
“We are not surprised that the case was voluntarily dropped," the statement reported Friday continued. "Our hearts truly break for any person victimized by Epstein but the truth is — Lesley had no knowledge of and no participation in any of the illegal conduct alleged in the lawsuit.”
The legal team further said Groff "never witnessed anything improper or illegal" despite accusers claiming she booked flights so Epstein could abuse them at his various residences. Groff was simply following orders.
The Washington Examiner reached out to the Justice Department for comment. We're still.... 'on hold.'
A civil suit against Groff was also dropped this week.
Hat tip to both Bachner and Whitcome for their fine efforts outside their primary fields of litigation. I am certain they were well compensated by someone. Perhaps their recent successes in criminal Sex Trafficking can be added to their CV's.
It's now 2022. All of this unpleasantness took place long ago. Let's just move along, shall we ?

Odd that she's American, and so much older than his other associates. Was she a former victim / paramour of Epstein's?
That's the profile of the "assistant" or booking agent for monsters like him: someone whose very existence depends on him -- usually they're foreign and without a green card -- and can therefore be trusted to stay mum.
Something very strange about this Leslie Groff. Was she a liaison to ...?
[OneIndia] There have been multiple encounters in Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... as a result of which a large number of Death Eaters including top commanders have been shot full of holes.
On Thursday, Inspector General of Police,, Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that the security forces have been able to breach the mark of 200 Death Eaters in Kashmir as it has come down to 180. It is for the first time in history that local Death Eaters have been reduced to less than 100. Following the encounter on Wednesday in which 6 Death Eaters including from Pakistain were shot full of holes the count now stands at 85, he also said.
A bigwig tells OneIndia that the high rate of success when it comes to gunning down Death Eaters is because of the smooth coordination between the Intelligence, Army and Police. Several moles within the establishment have been shunted out.
That’s good to know...
Earlier, Death Eaters would have information before hand when a cordon and search operation was planned due to which they were able to escape or have an upper hand during the encounter. However this scenario has changed and they have been caught with an element of surprise, the official cited above also said.
The seamless coordination has resulted in the killing of 73 local Death Eaters this year. In all 128 locals had joined various groups of which 73 were killed. In December alone 24 bad boyz were potted of which five were Paks.
In terms of handling terrorism, the year 2021 has been better when compared to 2020. There were 238 terror related incidents in 2020 as opposed to the 182 this year. 37 civilians died in 2020, while in 2021 it was 34. The number of casualties where the armed forces were concerned were 57 and 34 in 2020 and 2021 respectively. The number of law and order incidents dropped to 77 this year when compared to 147 the previous year.
In terms of recruitment of locals into terrorist group it was 128 this year when compared to 170 in 2020. Of the 128 who joined the terror ranks this year, 73 were killed while 16 were arrested taking the number of active Death Eaters in Kashmir to just 39.
[ET] Pfizer’s antiviral oral drug developed to treat COVID-19 can cause severe or life-threatening effects when used with common medications including some anti-coagulants, some anti-depressants, and some cholesterol-lowering statins, according to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) (pdf).
FDA does not recommend Paxlovid for those with severe kidney or liver disease.
The FDA on Dec. 22 granted emergency use authorization (EUA) to Pfizer’s COVID-19 treatment pill as treatment for mild-to-moderate cases of COVID-19 in patients from 12 years of age.
Paxlovid was the first oral medication of its kind authorized by the FDA to treat COVID-19, with the aim of reducing the need for hospitalization before patients become too ill from the infection.
"This authorization provides a new tool to combat COVID-19 at a crucial time in the pandemic as new variants emerge and promises to make antiviral treatment more accessible to patients who are at high risk for progression to severe COVID-19," stated Patrizia Cavazzoni, director of the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research.

So. You have to decide if you are sick enough (probably a bit late by then). Then you need to know if it's contra-indicated by your other meds or health state. Then you need a piece of paper to go to the store with. Then you need a store that will dispense. You may well be out-of-pocket if your insured is woke and says "no." That's a lot of puzzle pieces that have to come together.

So basically this is stuff you're not going to be allowed to take you've had Remdesivir in the past, which puts you in the kidney disease category.
I guess they're not going to allow actual treatments that don't have a poison pill...

The response to this pandemic by our public health authorities will go down in history as the most disastrous in modern times. There will be a coordinated effort to rewrite history about these monumental errors. We have been told for 2 years that there are only 3 things that will help us; masks, lockdowns and novel therapies like these “vaccines”. You can not go a day without hearing hundreds of references to these 3 courses of action. Every time I turn in the radio it is an ad for the vaccines. Now we are being told these novel treatments, the antiviral pills at hundreds of dollars per course, may be the answer.
Clinicians who actually treat many Covid patients know there are dozens of cheap and effective agents that can help lessen the severity of the disease yet there is almost no effort to promote them. In fact, there has been a concerted effort to withhold availability of these and lie about them (like the Ivermectin is only for horses or HCQ is fish tank cleaner, etc)
Public health authorities have even gone to great lengths to make sure pharmacies take supplements like NAC or quinine off the shelves. And the big chain pharmacies won’t fill prescriptions for Ivermectin or HCQ. These “public health” authorities would rather people die than have them find solutions outside of there 3 mandates.
Don’t you ever wonder why in 2 years time there has been no effort, no radio ads or TV commercials or anything for that matter, that would help people prophylactically, or as early treatment at home in the early stages of the disease should they get it? Things like boosting your vitamin D, add in some zinc, protect the lungs from clotting with a low dose of aspirin if you get the disease, etc., etc., etc.
We could have saved hundreds of thousands of lives by promoting safe and simple immune boosting measures rather than the a sole focus on the 3, experimental “vaccines”, masks and lockdowns.
The public health authorities should be driven out in shame from their ivory towers.
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency has arrested one operative of The Resistence Front following a search conducted in Srinagar.
The arrested has been identified as Arsalan Feroz a resident of Srinagar. The case on hand relates to the conspiracy hatched to radicalise, motivate and recruit the youth of Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". In furtherance of the said conspiracy these persons are recruiting individuals to carry out reconnaissance of pre-determined targets, coordinating and transporting weapons to support the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and The Resistence Front. So far four accused have been arrested in connection with this case. The searches conducted led to the recovery of several incriminating material such as documents and digital devices the NIA said.
[FOX4NEWS] Garland police are seeking help from the public to find the 14-year-old accused of opening fire inside a convenience store Sunday, killing three people and injuring another.Abel Elias Acosta is being sought by police after they said evidence was found that identified him as the gunman. Police said he is the son of Richard Acosta Jr., who was arrested by police after they identified him as the getaway driver of the white truck that was seen on surveillance video outside the Texaco gas station on Walnut Lane.
"[Richard] voluntarily turned himself in two days ago," Garland PD Lt. Pedro Barineau said. "And when he turned himself in, we were and to locate and recover the truck."
He is also facing a murder charge, but police will not say what role he might have had in planning the attack.
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] On Thursday, thousands of people in Colorado received messages to evacuate immediately, as wildfires propelled by strong winds destroyed the Boulder suburbs of Louisville and Superior.
The first fire, the Middle Fork Fire, popped up in the area around 10:30am, but was "attacked pretty quickly and laid down later in the day" with no structures lost, Boulder County Sheriff Joe Pelle told the News Agency that Dare Not be Named.
A second fire, the Marshall Fire, was reported around 11am, which quickly ballooned in size, covering at least 2.5 square miles.
Authorities say several of the fires may have been started by downed power lines, with winds gusting as high as 105 mph.
"This is the kind of fire we can't fight head-on," Pelle said. "We actually had deputy sheriffs and firefighters in areas that had to pull out because they just got overrun."

So far no deaths reported, but at least one elder has gone missing. I have a relative who lives within 5 miles of the burn zone, the only effect she noticed was smoke everywhere. She is about ready to sell out and leave Colorado just to get away from the very regular wildfires that seem to have become a "normal" part of life there.
I scanned the internet & found many references to homeowners waiting for over a year after their insured CO homes were destroyed and they still haven't been able to start rebuilding. Can't imagine things will get better in CO for those displaced by this fire.

[REGNUM] The US military base in the Syrian province of Al-Hasake was subjected to mortar shelling. This was announced on December 31 by the Syrian state broadcasting agency.
It is clarified that a military base in the city of Shaddadi in the south of the province of Al-Hasake was fired upon. According to the agency, sirens are working on the territory of the base, the level of combat readiness is increased.
Information about possible victims and damage is being clarified.
Earlier IA REGNUM reported that the Aerospace Forces (VKS) of Russia destroyed one of the largest Syrian military bases with foreign mercenaries in Syria.
[Federalist] In its recently updated guidance on exposure to COVID-19, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) treats double jabbed individuals that have not received a booster shot the same as unvaccinated ones.
“For people who are unvaccinated or are more than six months out from their second mRNA dose (or more than 2 months after the J&J vaccine) and not yet boosted, CDC now recommends quarantine for 5 days followed by strict mask use for an additional 5 days,” the updated guidance reads. “Alternatively, if a 5-day quarantine is not feasible, it is imperative that an exposed person wear a well-fitting mask at all times when around others for 10 days after exposure. Individuals who have received their booster shot do not need to quarantine following an exposure, but should wear a mask for 10 days after the exposure.”
The move to change the definition of “fully vaccinated” by the federal health agency was predicted by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis last month. During a press conference in Tallahassee, the Republican governor told attendees that “those individuals who have gone through a normal vaccination series for COVID …will be determined to be unvaccinated very soon.”
“They will do that – they are gonna tell you: ‘you’re unvaccinated and you have to get a booster,'” he said, adding that those who choose not to get a booster “could potentially face loss of employment or other types of penalties.”
The comments sparked outcry from legacy media fact-checkers, who were quick to label the governor’s prediction as false. Writing in The Independent, Andrew Feinberg penned an article titled “Fact Check: DeSantis falsely claims vaccinated citizens without boosters could be declared unvaccinated and lose their jobs,” in which he claims that DeSantis was “lying about the possibility that Covid-19 boosters will be used to force people out of their jobs.”
“Centers for Disease Control Director Rochelle Walensky has repeatedly denied that the Biden administration plans to consider people who do not get boosters to be unvaccinated.” he wrote.

[DW] Lawmaker Noureddine Bhairi has been "kidnapped by security agents in civilian clothes and taken to an unknown destination," according to the Ennahda party.
Security forces have detained a bigwig from the largest party in the suspended Tunisian parliament for the first time since President Kais Saied seized power three months ago, the Ennahda party said on Friday.
The moderate Islamist Ennahda,
...also known as the Moslem Brotherhood in Tunisia, so not moderate at all...
which accuses Saied of an unfair power grab, said plainclothes security agents had captured the party's vice president, Noureddine Bhairi.
"This morning, the Vice-President of Ennahdha party and Member of Parliament, Noureddine Bhiri, was kidnapped by security agents in civilian clothes and taken to an unknown destination," the party said on Facebook. "During the kidnapping operation, lawyer Ms Saida al-Akremi, wife of Mr Bhiri, who was with him, was violent mostly peacefully assaulted." The party wrote that the move set a "dangerous precedent" on a path of "tyranny" through an "elimination of political opponents."
Ennahdha's fall from grace
Ennahda was banned before the 2011 revolution. It has since returned to the political stage and become the most consistently influential party, being a part of successive coalition governments.
As Tunisia's economy stagnated and its political system ground to a halt in recent years, support for the party has waned. Before the parliament was suspended by Saied, Ennahda controlled the largest number of seats, but was winning fewer votes than in previous years.
In recent months, several senior politicians and business leaders have been detained or subjected to prosecution, often involving cases of corruption or defamation.
Human rights groups have decried some of those arrests as well as criticizing the use of military courts to hear such cases.

Deutsche Welle (DW), Germany’s international service, is no more dependable than the AP or the NY Times. Ennahda is a Muslim Brotherhood outfit and has been for decades. Its leader Rachid Ghannouchi has long been placed in the hierarchy of the Ikhwan al-Muslimeen and yet DW takes no note of its history.

Like Al Ahram, Deutsche Welle is a government communication project, so projects the opinions of the government on what should be reported and now. That said, both are available in English and give us at least some of the local and international stories Rantburg is interested in, so are useful to us here. Also useful as supplementary information to stories obtained elsewhere, confirming that information and adding additional useful details.
Yes. I did note as an in-line comment what Ennahda is; sadly, everyone except Al Ahram describes them and all other Moslem Brotherhood political parties as moderate because they prefer to obtain the caliphate by the soft jihad of the law and politics instead of the hard jihad of the sword like Al Qaeda, ISIS and other open jihad terror groups.

Within a decade of its founding the Muslim Brotherhood created a radical jihadist element within its organization in Egypt. In time in was never radical enough for locos like Qutb, Zawahiri, and the like. The Brotherhood as now created has no blood lust Jihadist element, but it has on many occasions funded such movements when it thought proper. I am aware that the American left considers the Ikhwan a soft movement, but looks are deceiving. As is the American Left.

[IsraelTimes] Organization’s head says ’months of intense debate and discussion’ preceded ranking; cites alleged biased reporting, antisemitic staff
The BBC has been branded antisemitic by the Simon Wiesenthal Center, and placed third on its annual "Global Antisemitism Top Ten" list, according to a Sunday report.
First and second place went to Iran ...They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... and the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... -based Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®, terror group, respectively.
The head of the organization, Marvin Hier, told the Daily Mail that "people might be surprised to see the BBC on our list, but the decision to place the BBC at No. 3 came after months of intense debate and discussion."
"We believe the BBC has been guilty of several incidences of antisemitism during the past year," he said.
"People might assume we would put neo-Nazi ...adherents of a philosophy that was seen even at the time as pure evil, which makes them either consciously and purely evil, or attention-seeking ratbags. Pick one, or both.... groups on our list," Hier told the paper, "but the BBC is there because when a globally recognized organization allows antisemitism to creep into its reporting, it makes it all the more insidious and dangerous."
The full list is to be released on Tuesday.
Hier cited the BBC’s reporting of an attack this month in London on a busload of Jewish teenagers, who were celebrating the Hanukkah holiday, by a group of men who chanted anti-Israel slogans. The report claimed that one of the apparent victims used an Islamophobic slur.
"The BBC falsely reported that a victim on the bus used an anti-Moslem slur. But what was heard on tape was a distressed Jewish man speaking in Hebrew, appealing for help," Hier said.
The top-ten list also noted that a journalist for the BBC — who has since been dismissed — tweeted that "Hitler was right" in 2014.
The pro-Israel Honest Reporting media watchdog flagged the seven-year-old tweet, which led the BBC to open an internal investigation that ultimately led to Tala Halawa’s firing.
[SAHARAREPORTERS] A Special Force Squad of the Nigerian Navy Base, Onitsha, stormed Ochan forest, known as the Anambra State base of kidnappers, and arrested five suspected kidnappers.
During the bombardment, over 10 persons died while others escaped with bullet wounds, Punch reports.
While parading the suspects at its base in Onitsha on Friday, the leader of the naval team, Suleiman Agabi, said the command, based on intelligence gathering, stormed the kidnappers' hideout around 1:20 am on Friday.
Agabi further identified the suspected kidnappers as the criminal masterminds of the abduction of the traditional ruler of Ogwaniocha community in Anambra State, Igwe Oliver Nnaji, who was kidnapped on November 15, 2021.
It was learnt that the suspects are making confessional statements in connection to the abduction of the monarch.
Live ammunition, cartridges, guns, charms, among others were reportedly recovered from the victim.
Agabi said, “These criminals have formed a syndicate. They go to communities around the borders, kidnap their traditional rulers and use the ransom to buy guns, prepare charms and maintain their operations.
“We got a report now that some of them have started visiting medical facilities to receive treatment and I have directed members of my team to go round the area, especially at Ihiala and monitor the situation. Some of the suspects have confessed to belong to a group that kidnapped the traditional ruler of Ogwaniocha community and we are trailing their leader.”

Ministry of promotion of virtue and prevention of vice of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan said that growing beard is just a recommendation to people and that it is not mandatory.
The ministry in a Twitter post directed all the Taliban affiliates not to force people to grow beards and that this is a personal choice.
It comes after the ministry’s provincial offices’ directions over preventing trimming and shaving beards in some provinces aroused national and international reactions.
On the other hand, the ministry in its recent directions directed drivers not to seat two women in the front seat and totally avoid seating women who have not observed Islamic hijab.
The directions have also said that a woman cannot travel alone for more than 45 miles.
The Ministry of promotion of virtue and prevention of vice that was replaced by the ministry of women affairs is one of the strictest administrations of the Taliban that deals with the attitude and physical appearance of people.

[ColonelCassad] The Houthis have released a large New Year's Eve report on their operations in the Al-Jawf province (as long as the bloody battles for the mountainous region of Jabal-al-Balak continue in Marib, and there is still no time for bright victorious videos - the meat grinder there is more than serious, there are heavy losses on both sides, and the intensity is such that even the commanders of the brigades are dying, and in general, is it a joke - the offensive that began on February 7, 2021 there continues with short interruptions to this day), which presents the footage traditional for such reports of the defeat of the Hadis and Saudis - scattering across the desert invaders, abandoned and destroyed equipment, liberated settlements, killed, wounded and captured enemy soldiers, interesting angles of shooting and editing. In general, everything is at the usual high level.
In total, during the operation in the province of Al-Jawf, almost 1,200 square kilometers of Yemen's territory, including the city of Yatmah, were liberated. Two Hadi brigades defending in this direction suffered heavy losses in men and material.
In fact, the Houthis took advantage of the fact that the Hadi command had pulled all reserves to Marib (even the Giants brigade was pulled from the front south of Hodeidah and driven to Marib to participate in counterattacks on the Houthis) and weakened other sectors. In al-Jawf, the Houthi command was able to feel the weakness and achieve good results.
Overall, the Yemeni War was the most intense and bloodiest war of 2021. Generally speaking, the Houthis still own the Operational Initiative (which they seized after winning the Battle of Hodeidah) and are trying to convert it into an expansion of Yemeni-controlled territory.
Since 2019, the Saudi coalition has been acting on the defensive, abandoning the idea of achieving victory over the Houthis by military means, now Riyadh is more concerned with the question of how to get out of this war without saving face and so that it does not look like a defeat from Iran. Iran perfectly understands the difficulties of its opponents, so it continues to actively support the Houthis, which allows them to somewhat counterbalance the enemy’s complete air domination with retaliatory attacks from drones and ballistic missiles.
At the moment, there are no preconditions for the end of this war, which has been going on since 2015. The centerpiece of the war will remain the battle of Marib, which the Houthis are determined to take and Saudi Arabia is determined not to surrender.
Good luck to the Houthis in the coming year 2022. There are even more such videos, and of course, well-aimed missile launches at Riyadh.
[NYPOST] After attempting to dunk on the "Let’s Go Brandon" fans, disgraced CBS anchor Dan Fake but Accurate Rather ...the man who put the BS in CBS News. In 2004 he put on a news story that highlighted dissatisfaction with Lt. George W. Bush in the Texas Air National Guard during the Vietnam war. This was almost casually--but gleefully--debunked by the Blogosphere at large. Rather's face was rubbed in journalistic mud, four of his staff were fired, and within a short time his 43-year (about the same length as Muammar Qadaffi's) career had settled to the bottom, from whence he periodically emits a bubble, which proves he's not dead yet... faced a dunking of his own.Late Wednesday night, Rather tweeted out his take on the popular "Let’s Go Brandon" phrase that has been used as a rebuff against President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant. Just look at the competent way he dumped Afghanistan...... "#LetsGoBrandonReallyMeans ’You can’t handle the truth," Rather wrote.
The quote came as a form of irony for some Twitter users as Rather previously stepped down from his position as a CBS anchor after airing a story that contained allegedly forged documents to question President Bush’s service in the National Guard. Several people called out his take based on Rather’s own relationship with "the truth."
Right-wing commentator John Cardillo tweeted, "Dan, Remember when you and your producer fabricated memos to derail Bush 43’s presidency, but you were caught, fired, and shamed off air? Remember that truth?"
"Says the man who literally lost his job for reporting fabrications and lies about GW Bush. Hahah.. you cannot make this stuff up. Let’s Go Dan Rather!" radio talk show host Joe Pagliarulo wrote.
[ABCNEWS.GO] Two button men fired more than 65 rounds on a Philadelphia street, sending nighttime pedestrians on a busy block teeming with markets and restaurants scrambling for cover and injuring six people, at least one of them critically, police said Friday.Police responded around 11:30 p.m. Thursday in the Germantown neighborhood and found a 21-year-old woman shot multiple times in the abdomen and chest and lying near dozens of spent casings. Officers rushed her to the hospital, where she was at death's door Friday.
Five men ages 19 to 29 were taken with gunshot wounds by private vehicles to two hospitals, police said. All were expected to survive.
Officers are looking at surveillance footage, Chief Inspector Scott Small told news hounds late Thursday.
The injured woman, who suffered the most gunshot wounds, may have been the intended target, Small said. But the extensive scene of the crime — with a sea of casings on Germantown Avenue and bullets from at least two different-caliber semiautomatic weapons striking parked cars — made it difficult to be certain.
"The fact that we found over 65 spent shell casings — that’s a whole lot of shots fired — so it’s hard to even say who is the intended target and who is struck by stray gunfire," Small said.
A Philadelphia city website tracking shooting victims and homicides showed that as of Tuesday, there were 1,827 nonfatal shooting victims in 2021, an increase of more than 600 from pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
Philadelphia police showed 559 homicides going into the last day of 2021, the most recorded since the city began tracking in 1960.

[SAHARAREPORTERS] Nigerian Army authorities have said 22 bad boyz were potted when troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force engaged Boko Haram ...Nigeerian Islamist group, formerly paying homage to al-Qaeda, then, when the money ran out, to the Islamic State, and headed by nutcase Abu Bakr Shekau. Once he exploded in a gunfight with ISWAP, many in the group surrendered to the govt and others went with their new overlords. The remainder are a shell of their former selves, stmbling glassy-eyed and lonely through the Sambisa Forest and the soothing waters of Lake Chad, asking themselves What is truth?, or maybe just I wonder what's for dinner? I hope it's not rhinocerous again! ... and ISWAP murderous Moslems around Mallam Fatori Town in the Lake Chad region. Kill is good
They, however, added that six soldiers were also killed during the engagement.
A statement by the front man for the Multinational Joint Task Force, Colonel Muhammad Dole, on Thursday said the operation was code-named Sharan Fage.
It noted that the operation had troops drawn from Sector 3 Monguno (Nigeria) and Sector 4 Diffa (Niger Republic) and was heavily supported by Operation Hadin Kai (Nigeria) and the targets were Boko Haram/ISWAP murderous Moslems hiding around Mallam Fatori town.
The statement said though the troops had superior firepower, they met strong resistance from the terrorists.
According to the statement, the murderous Moslems launched several mortar attacks, laid Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) along the troops’ route of advance, and further attacks with Vehicle Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIEDs).
Colonel Dole said despite the challenge posed by the terrorists, 22 of them were neutralised during the operation.
He added that 5 of their gun trucks, five cycle of violences, and several logistic bunkers were destroyed and eight AK-47 rifles were also recovered from the terrorists.
He, however, added that six members of the Joint Task Force comprising two officers and 4 other ranks from both Nigeria and the Niger Republic were killed in the line of duty with about 16 others maimed in action.
The statement noted that 17 suspects arrested in the general area of operations were being profiled.
[IsraelTimes] Paramilitary force says it ’targeted and killed the perpetrators’ behind deadly assault in Sistan-Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... that left 2 of its members dead
Iran’s Revolutionary Guards announced Friday they had killed three people who were involved a deadly attack that left two of their members dead in the southeastern province of Sistan-Balochistan.
On December 26, the Revolutionary Guards had said two of its members had been killed in the province that borders Pakistain, in "armed festivities with a group of bandidos and mercenaries," without providing further details.
On Friday, the Guards said they "targeted and killed the perpetrators behind this crime" in a "surprise" operation, according to a statement reported by the website Sepah News.
The suspects had been working on "shaking the peace and security of residents in the southeast of the country," they added without elaborating.
Sistan-Balochistan province lies on the border with Pakistain and is a flashpoint of festivities between security forces and gangs.
The festivities often involve smuggling gangs as well as separatists from the Baluchi minority or turban bad boy groups.
On November 18, three Iranian coppers, including a colonel, were killed and six others maimed in festivities with an gang while patrolling an area bordering Sistan-Balochistan.
[JUSTTHENEWS] U.S. crude oil production fell by 8% in 2020, the largest annual decrease on record, the U.S. Energy Information Agency reports. This plunge occurred one year after the U.S. reached a record annual average high of 12.2 million barrels a day in production in 2019.
In January 2020, U.S. crude oil production reached a peak of 12.8 million b/d. But with federal and state lockdowns halting travel over coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... fears, demand for oil dropped and production became too expensive to maintain.
By March 2020, the oil and gas industry experienced a "bloodbath," and by April, the WTI was negative $40 a barrel for the first time in history. Prices at the pump also reached historic lows.
To stop the hemorrhaging, crude oil operators shut in wells and limited the number of wells brought online, laying off large numbers of workers, all of which resulted in significantly lower output. By May 2020, U.S. crude oil production reached its lowest average monthly volume for the year at 10 million b/d, EIA reports.

[IsraelTimes] No soldiers injured; military says foiled attack occurred at the Gitai Avishar Junction, near the Ariel settlement; troops arrest suspect who was in car that transported assailant
A Paleostinian man attempted to carry out a stabbing attack in the northern West Bank on Friday morning but was rubbed out by troops at the scene, the military said.
According to the military, the attempted attack took place at the Gitai Avishar Junction, just outside the Ariel settlement in the northern West Bank.
"A Paleostinian car drove near a military post at the Gitai Avishar Junction... A terrorist got out of the car with a knife in his hand and ran toward the bus stop in which there were civilians and soldiers," the military said.
"IDF troops shot up the terrorist, killing him," it said.
Photographs from the scene showed the alleged assailant on the ground next to a bus stop full of soldiers. He was taken to Petah Tikva’s Beilinson Medical Center at death's door and was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Hours after setting up roadblocks in the area, the military announced the arrest of a suspect who was in the car that transported the assailant to the scene.
An IDF statement said the suspect was unarmed and taken for questioning.
Recent weeks have seen a marked rise in violence by Paleostinians against Israeli civilians and soldiers in the West Bank and Jerusalem, including a deadly shooting attack earlier this month.
The IDF has deployed additional soldiers to the area in an effort to prevent further attacks.
Israeli troops Friday shot dead a Palestinian man who attempted to stab soldiers and settlers at a bus stop in the occupied West Bank, the military said.
The Palestinian health ministry confirmed the death of the alleged assailant, identifying him as Amir Atef Rayyan. .

[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] A frivolous federal lawsuit was filed against a conservative couple in Austin, Texas after they partook in a pro-Trump caravan last year that drove alongside Biden's campaign bus while on the 2020 Presidential campaign trail in Texas.
Joeylynn Mesaros, the wife of Robert Mesaros who is also a defendant in the lawsuit, is speaking out that they are being unfairly targeted for exercising their first amendment rights by a collective of Democrat attorneys with an agenda.
"When the Biden bus drove through our city it was second nature for us to show up and represent our presidential candidate, President Trump, and to show our pride for America," Mesaros told Ari Hoffman, host of The Ari Hoffman Show on 570 KVI.
"We drove down the road alongside the bus, thought it would make a cool photo. It was fairly uneventful. We were on the road just a few minutes. Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited. [REGNUM] Hundreds of thousands of Russian citizens live in Donbass, and therefore Russia will take all necessary measures to protect them. This was announced on December 31 by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
As the Russian Foreign Minister pointed out in an interview with RIA Novosti, Western countries support Kiev's militaristic aspirations, and the Ukrainian authorities "perceive this support as carte blanche for a military operation."
"As for the residents of Donbass, where hundreds of thousands of Russian citizens live, Russia will take all necessary measures to protect them. ... The uncontested basis for this remains the Minsk complex of measures approved by UNSCR 2202," he said.
At the same time, Lavrov stressed that any possible provocations from Ukraine "will be given an adequate response."
As reported by IA REGNUM , earlier Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that in order to "bargain" for themselves unilateral concessions, the US authorities artificially restrict the issuance of nonimmigrant visas for residents of Russia.

This is a well orchestrated and secretive collaboration between China and Russia to split U.S. might at a time for mutual gain for both countries. China will move on Taiwan when
"green lighted" by Russia's advance into the eastern half of Ukraine. I hope the U.S. won't be caught with blinders on when China flips the switch.

Some assailants on Friday stormed Mereri village in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, and kidnapped a wife of Dr AbdulRazaq, a lecturer with Federal College of Education (Technical), Gusau and his two daughters, Maryam AbdulRazaq and Hafsat AbdulRazaq.
It was learnt that many properties including money were looted in the Mareri community, on the outskirts of Gusau.
File photo used to illustrate story.
One of the neighbours of the lecturer who spoke on condition of anonymity for security reasons, said the bandidos stormed the house with sophisticated weapons and began to shoot indiscriminately, Daily Post reports.
The source added that some of them came barefooted and got access to the area through a forest linking other communities known as Geba, Jajjayen and Kwanar Mai in Gusau.

In a statement issued Thursday, the Presidency had said that some politicians and journalists "went too far in their imaginations, whether deliberately or due to misinterpretation."
"President Aoun reminds those keen on Lebanon’s unity and claiming to be against its partitioning that he was the one who launched his famous slogan, ’Lebanon is too big to be swallowed and too small to be partitioned,’ during an official visit to Washington in 1978," the Presidency added.
"As for those who deliberately or inadvertently misunderstood the idea of broad administrative and financial decentralization in the President’s message, the Presidency would like to stress that administrative and financial decentralization go together, according to the Document of National Accord (Taef Accord)," the Presidency said.

[CWBChicago] Shades of Pulp Fiction
A West Side man who tried to shoot someone in another car by firing out his rear passenger window while driving managed to shoot and kill his own backseat passenger instead, prosecutors said this week.
Quincy Cole, 27, is charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of his passenger, 19-year-old Roderick James, on December 6, 2020.
Cole was on bail for a pending felony arson case at the time of the killing. CPD records show that police wanted to charge him with murder in the pending case, but prosecutors only approved arson charges.
The alleged murder of James makes Cole the 45th person to be charged with killing, trying to kill, or shooting someone in Chicago during 2020 while on felony bail.
Prosecutors said Cole was driving a car with four additional passengers when another driver pulled up on their right side at a red light near Bloomington and Laramie.
The other driver, a 68-year-old man, told police that he saw the passenger window of Cole’s car roll down to reveal a man pointing a gun at his head, Assistant State’s Attorney James Murphy said. He ducked and heard "multiple" bullets strike his car before Cole sped away, according to Murphy.
About 14 minutes later, one of Cole’s passengers called 911 to report shots fired near Belmont and Leclaire in Belmont Cragin. Witnesses, including an off-duty firefighter, saw four men running from Cole’s car at that location. Police found James dead in the back seat with four gunshot wounds to his chest.
Witnesses provided police with descriptions of the men who ran from the car, and officers arrested Cole along with two of the others nearby. Murphy did not identify the other two people or say if they were charged with any crimes.

Cole was on bail for a pendingfelony arson case at the time of the killing.
Gee, would that arson case date back to the peaceful protests last year over the Blessed Martyrdom of St. George Hooper?

Or it was a diversion all along and the passenger was the intended target.
Four shots to the chest and all of that. Unless Mr. Cole has a really poor situational awareness and/or bad aim, the first shot might have alerted him of his mistaken angle.

Text by Russian federation ambassador Anatoly Antonov:
[ColonelCassad] On the results of the telephone conversations between Putin and Biden, held at Putin's initiative on the situation in Ukraine and the threat of war.
The main thing following the talks between Putin and Biden, according to Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov:
The situation in the RF-NATO relations is extremely dangerous, no one should have any doubts about the determination of the Russian Federation to defend its security.
Russian draft agreements on security guarantees do not infringe on the security of the United States and NATO
For the Russian Federation, the military development of Ukraine by NATO member states is an existential threat.
The main thing from the telephone conversation between Putin and Biden, according to the Kremlin press service:
Biden clearly stated that the United States does not intend to deploy offensive strike weapons in Ukraine;
Putin told Biden that Russia would behave the way the United States would behave in matters of its security;
Biden warned about sanctions, Putin replied that in this case, a break in relations could follow;
Biden stressed on several occasions the inadmissibility of starting a nuclear war;
The leaders agreed to continue the dialogue after the New Year.
The main version of the press service of the White House:
Biden urged to reduce tensions over Ukraine.
US will continue to monitor Russian forces and preparing for "any Putin's decision on Ukraine."
Biden said the US will negotiate with allies and partners, Putin expressed understanding.
Biden said about strengthening NATO forces and additional assistance to Ukraine in case of escalation.
Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin:
In fact, in the absence of framework agreements, which the Russian Federation insists on, such negotiations are constantly accompanied by an exchange of threats, which they no longer hide.
The severance of diplomatic relations is the penultimate step on the escalation path, then the war, in one form or another, is not necessarily direct. Discussion of the inadmissibility of a nuclear war is an eloquent marker showing how degraded the situation in relations between the United States and the Russian Federation is, approaching the level of the Cuban Missile Crisis and the crisis of 1983.

Oct 18, 2021. Russia says it will suspend the operations of its mission at NATO headquarters in Brussels in response to the Western security alliance's move to expel eight members of Russia's mission earlier this month. In a move marking another blow to East-West ties that are already near Cold War lows, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on October 18 that operations will be suspended as of November 1, and that those at the NATO military mission in Moscow will have their accreditation stripped the same day.

Putin is "stewing in his own juices" over Biden not engaging with him after his threats manipulating internal public opinion. The U.S. should continue to stand firm with NATO and the EU, walking softly and carrying it's big stick! Putin knows the U.S. doesn't have 175,000 troops massed on Mexico's border, and should he try to 'tit for tat' by wanting to put missiles in Central America, the U.S. strategy of applying Murphy's golden rule "whoever has the gold, makes the rules" would be used!

the shame of it is we are driving Putin into the arms of Xi Jinping when he should be our ally.
But... Putin's corrupt -- unlike the Bidens, or the $150 million Clintons, or the $140 million Obamas, or $100 million Al Gore, or Nancy Pelosi the She-Wolf of Wall Street
But... Putin suppresses the media -- unlike the Democrats and their house organs' suppression of massive documented prima facie evidence of Biden's influence-peddling and corruption
But... Putin's unkind to Alphabet people and he's a white Christian leader of a white Christian nation! True dat. Clearly a Notsie Whi' S'premaciss. You win.

Putin is a thug, a gangster, and deserved to be imprisoned for his time in the KGB. He wants peace, then he shouldn't start wars.
He doesn't want peace. He wants to act like Russia is a world power, not a regional bully.

he's a ruthless and ambitious dictator but we need all the friends we can get to counter Xi. We certainly don't need the two of them allied against us.
When our leaders were rational, back in the era beginning with Eisenhower and ending roughly when Kissinger stepped down as NSA, we were allied with dictators all over the planet. Franco. Salazar. Pinochet. Greek generals... on and on.
And then Nixon and Kissinger opened up to the biggest thug of all, Mao Tse-Tung.
Is Putin a bigger thug than the greatest butcher of the 20th century? Is Russia the greater threat today -- the one that requires us to make common cause with China ... oh wait: Russia and China are now aligned against us.
We Were Once Led By Intelligent Men. And Are Now Ruled By F--king Morons.

I would be open to befriending Russia in order to stop China, if Russia, in its previous form as the Soviet Union, hadn’t befriended China first. And they still quietly support each other, while Russia looks at us as their hereditary enemy and competitor for world hegemon, while China looks at us as their slow-motion conquest — continuing the thirty year effort to weaken us economically and by corrupting our ruling class, while they work up to their quick, kinetic war in a decade or so.
So it doesn’t matter that we and Russia as Europe-derived Christian countries ought to be natural allies. It won’t happen because Russia cannot see us that way, but only as either a rival either beating them or neutralized.

The Soviet Union has been developing the concept of machine-artillery divisions for its southeastern border with China since the 1920s.
Reading into the source material at the time (this was back in 1989) even back then the Russian worry in the east was with China and her huge population.
My personal theory: Russia doesn't want to be seen as cozying up with or even making deals with NATO mainly because of how Xi would react.
China has been transforming its ground forces into mobile armor units, the same way the Soviets did after 1945. A punitive operation from China in reaction to any favorable deal from the west would tie up Russian forces from all over. In order to protect his southeastern flank, I think Volodya would strip his western defenses bare (except for the Western Military District -- his capital, and his Air Defense network) to deal with China.
Also, one other thing: The thing that drove the 1917 October Revolution and afterwards was the population in the east, not the Bolshevik crazies in Petrograd or Moskva. Those ideologues in the east could easily convert to the Chinese communist governing model with little effort.

OK, so the obvious calculation -- obvious to Nixon & Kissinger & any realist who understands the lay of the chessboard -- is for
1) the US to relieve pressure (from NATO) on Russia from the West , to enable
2) Russia to shore up its defenses against Chinese invasion-by-osmosis over the Amur River in Eastern Siberia, which forces
3) China to rethink its policies that are creating a Ring of Containment against China by (moving clockwise) Russia, Japan, Australia, and India

[JPost] Residents threw stones at the forces and blocked axes by burning tires. I think they meant access
Security forces evacuated illegal buildings on Givat Komi Uri near Yitzhar in the West Bank on Friday. During the evacuation, clashes broke out between the security forces and the residents of the outpost, during which three IDF soldiers were lightly injured.
Residents threw stones at the forces and blocked traffic by burning tires, which they also threw at the forces. The stones shattered the windshield of a backhoe loader brought in for the evacuation, and several of the forces’ vehicles were damaged as well.
In response, the forces used means to disperse the demonstrators. Two Border Police soldiers and a Special Patrol Unit fighter were lightly injured.

[AMGREATNESS] In June 2020, as the country attempted to recover from deadly and destructive riots after the death of St. George Floyd ...the patron saint of Minneapolis, a sterling example for our children and indeed for us all. St. George was martyed by the Devil's agents in blue while standing on a street corner preaching tolerance and racial justice or something like that... , a man from Wisconsin hosted a national conference of self-styled "militia" members in a suburban Columbus, Ohio hotel. Stephen Robeson, founder of the Wisconsin chapter of the Three Percenters, an alleged militia group on the FBI ...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time... ’s naughty list, pestered his contacts across the country to participate in the gathering.People who attended the conference, including two men later charged with federal crimes related to a plot to abduct Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer ...Her Excellency, the dictator of Michigan, 2020 Dem VP contender who never got off the ground... from her vacation cottage in 2020, observed that the hotel was crawling with federal agents.
One of the feds at the conference was none other than Stephen Robeson himself.
Without Robeson’s deep involvement as an FBI informant, the Whitmer kidnapping caper never would have made national headlines a few weeks before Election Day; in fact, the whole pre-election drama wouldn’t have materialized at all. A longtime FBI asset, Robeson was one of at least 12 confidential human sources embedded in the failed plot, which concluded when several men were arrested attempting to buy explosives from an undercover FBI agent in October 2020.
Defense attorneys are building a convincing case that the FBI entrapped their clients, who stand accused of perpetrating an act of domestic terror; a motion to dismiss the federal kidnapping count was filed on Christmas Day. "[The] evidence here demonstrates egregious overreaching by the government’s agents, and by the informants those agents handled," five defense attorneys wrote to a Michigan judge on December 25. FBI agents and informants, according to the filing, "concocted, hatched, and pushed this ’kidnapping plan’ from the beginning, doing so against defendants who explicitly repudiated the plan."
Stephen Robeson played as instrumental a role as any other FBI informant or agent. In addition to organizing the June militia conference, Robeson arranged a military-style training exercise in Wisconsin in July; another gathering in Ohio a week later; a meeting in Delaware in late summer; and a night time surveillance mission outside Whitmer’s vacation home in September. "He also urged people to plan violent mostly peaceful actions against elected officials and to acquire weapons and bomb-making materials," anonymous attendees told BuzzFeed News news hounds in July. "Some of those contacts say he called them nearly every day."
But Robeson had another secret he withheld from the group of would-be kidnappers whom he coaxed into an FBI trap; Robeson is a convicted felon several times over with "a rap sheet stretching back to the early 1980s that includes fraud, assault, and sex with a minor," BuzzFeed News confirmed.
And Robeson didn’t suspend his criminal ways while working on behalf of the federal government. At the same time Robeson was producing all the optics later used as evidence against the Whitmer "kidnappers," he committed at least two other crimes.

[SAHARAREPORTERS] The Nigerian Army (NA) has lost its bid to upturn a judgment compelling them to reinstate Colonel Danladi Ribah Hassan who was wrongly compulsorily retired in 2016.
According to PRNigeria, a three-member panel of the Court of Appeal in Abuja, in a judgment on Friday, dismissed the appeal by the Nigerian Army, former Chief of Army Staff, and others for lacking in merit.
The Nigerian Army had refused to obey an order of Industrial court for reinstatement of Colonel Hassan, a military Commander who led troops in recapturing Bulabulin and Damboa from Boko Haram ...not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... in August 2014.
The National Industrial Court in Abuja had in January 2019 ordered the immediate reinstatement of Colonel Hassan, one of the 38 officers compulsorily retired in 2016 by the Nigerian Army for no obvious reasons.
The trial judge, Justice Sanusi Kado, had held that with the failure of the Nigerian Army to convince the court of the disciplinary ground for compulsorily retiring the claimant, the said letter of compulsory retirement was null and void and of no effect.

[IsraelTimes] The Israel Defense Force said that its troops apprehended two people who crossed the border from Lebanon Hezbollahstan ...the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity™, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade... into Israel after midnight Friday.
"A short time ago, IDF lookouts spotted two suspects who crossed from Lebanese territory into Israel near Reches Ramim," the army said in a statement. "IDF soldiers apprehended the suspects and they are being questioned at the scene."
Hebrew media reports said the two men were Sudanese migrants colonists searching for work and not terror suspects.
In recent months, dozens of migrants colonists have attempted to enter the Jewish state in search of work in light of the ongoing Lebanese economic crisis, which has left many of the country’s foreign workers unemployed or unpaid.
[NYPOST] A 14-year-old girl was shot in the leg early Friday on the grounds of an East Harlem public housing development, cops said. The teen was in front of a building on First Avenue near Paladino Avenue, part of NYCHA’s Wagner Houses, just after 1 a.m. when she heard gunshots and felt pain, police said.
She was taken to a local hospital for a gunshot wound to her leg and is listed in stable, pH balanced condition, cops said.
It is unclear whether the teen was targeted in the shooting.
A man wearing a black mask expeditiously departed at a goodly pace after the incident, police said.
Hours earlier, a 25-year-old man was shot in the stomach on Frederick Douglass Boulevard near West 142nd Street in Harlem, authorities said.
He was taken to Harlem Hospital, also in stable, pH balanced condition.

[NYPOST] An embattled shelter and services provider that has been repeatedly lit up for failing to address the homeless situation at Penn Station blew city money on a booze cruise, fast food, and movie tickets for its staff, according to an audit.
Bowery Residents’ Committee charged the city at least $2,653 for the $36,510 catered boat ride, along with $1.4 million in other expenses that were either unsupported or not allowed, the audit by state Comptroller Tom DiNapoli’s office found.
"It’s a cause for concern when the non-profit hired to address the growing homeless crisis has so many red flags on the expenses it bills to the city. Charging taxpayers for a booze cruise is inappropriate at best," DiNapoli said in a statement.
BRC’s work at MTA hubs including Penn Station was previously called "very expensive" and "minimally effective" by the MTA Inspector General.
The non-profit held $527 million in city homeless service contracts as of 2019. DiNapoli’s audit covered its contract to operate the 200-bed Jack Ryan Residence on West 25th Street for mentally ill and chemically-addicted homeless adults.

Well duh, the whole point of these organizations is to enrich the people who work for them.
Three persons have been confirmed dead after button men attacked Morfor Motor Park in the Udu Local Government Area, Delta State, and engaged police operatives in a shootout.
This was made known by the Delta State Police Command in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer of the state command, Bright Edafe.
According to him, two of the button men escaped while two others sustained gunshot injuries in a gun duel with police operatives.
The statement read, "On December 30, at about 10.05am, information was received by the command that daredevil armed hoodlums were firing intense gunshots at Morfor motor park in Udu LGA and in the process shot three persons dead.
"The Commissioner of Police Delta State, Ari Muhammed Ali, directed the DPO Ovwian Aladja to go after the hoodlums. The hoodlums, on sighting the police escaped towards Udu-Otokutu expressway in a red mercury mariner jeep with number plates Abuja KWL 895 RQ.
"But on getting to Igbeki in Ovwian Aladja, they again attempted to attack one chief (name withheld) unknown to them that the chief had a team of Special protection unit, SPU, Operatives escorting him.
"However, a hangover is the wrath of grapes... on noticing the presence of the SPU operatives, the hoodlums numbering about four diverted to a street in Igbeki Udu. The combined team of SPU Operatives and Ovwian Aladja Patrol teams led by the DPO Ovwian Aladja Division went after the hoodlums.
"The hoodlums engaged the police teams in a gun duel and in the ensuing shootout, two of the armed robbers sustained gunshot injuries, while the other members of the gang escaped into the bush."

[Rudaw] Nine Kurds from Iran ...They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... have been released by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... -backed Syrian holy warriors months after their failed attempt ...Curses! Foiled again!... to reach Europe, the family of one of the migrants colonists told Rudaw on Friday.
Sixty-six Kurdish migrants colonists were arrested in the Ottoman Turkish city of Aksaray on August 21. Eight migrants colonists were from the Iranian city of Paveh in Kermanshah province, with an additional migrant from Iran’s Sardasht city, and the rest drawing from the Kurdistan Region.
The migrants colonists identified themselves as Syrian in an attempt to avoid being deported to Iran and Iraq, but the Ottoman Turkish police handed them to the Ankara-backed Syrian National Army (SNA) - previously known as Syrian Free Army. The migrants colonists from the Region were released 11 days later, but the fate of the other nine remained unclear until Friday.
Rashin Roustami, the sister of one of the migrants colonists who has been running social media campaigns calling for their release, told Rudaw on Friday that she received a phone call from her brother, Afshar Roustami, who informed her that they all have been released by the SNA and are now in Turkey.
"After the completion of measures in Turkey, all of them will be returned to Eastern Kurdistan," added the sister of the migrant, referring to Kurdish areas in Iran.
[IsraelTimes] The IDF was poised to launch a large-scale operation in the West Bank city of Jenin in recent months but halted the raid after Paleostinian Authority forces were pressured into acting, Channel 12 reported Friday, citing a conversation between Chief of Staff Aviv Kohavi and confidants.
Kohavi reportedly said that the ability to get the PA to act in the city that is widely seen as a hotbed of activity for the Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, and Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... terror groups was a result of the close security cooperation that exists between Israel and the PA.
The security cooperation was a central theme of talks held earlier this week when PA President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas ...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase.... met with Defense Minister Benny Gantz at his home, the first time the Paleostinian leader has held talks with a senior Israeli official in Israel since 2010.
Reporting details from the conversation on Wednesday, both Channel 12 and 13 quoted Abbas as telling Gantz that he would not support a return to violence in the West Bank "even if a gun was held to my head."
Gantz was by the right-wing and some in his government for hosting Abbas, but Channel 12 said Kohavi’s comments should be seen as the "fruits" of the ongoing security coordination.
Jenin had seen repeated violent mostly peaceful incidents in recent months.
Israeli soldiers entering the area to conduct arrests were repeatedly met with gunfire. In late September, Islamic Jihad member Osama Soboh was killed during a shootout with Israeli troops near Jenin. Another four Paleostinians, including two members of the PA security forces, were killed during a shootout with Israeli soldiers in August.
In late November, the PA launched a series of crackdowns in Jenin but denied they were targetting Hamas and Islamic Jihad, saying instead that it was a law and order operation.
PA forces have suspects across the governorate as part of the operation, although precise details were not been publicized.
The PA forces were also frequently met with stone-throwing from local residents.
The Paleostinian Authority, which has limited self-rule in enclaves across the West Bank, is dominated by the nationalist Fatah movement. Fatah and Hamas have long fought one another; a bloody 2007 civil war between the two parties saw Hamas expel their rivals from the Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. Strip.

The decommissioning process will take two decades and cost €1.1 billion ($1.25 billion) per plant.
This means that in 2022, Germany will have just three nuclear power plants — in the states of Bavaria, Baden-Wurttemberg and Lower Saxony.
They are due to cease production in exactly a year's time, cutting nuclear energy output by around four gigawatts — equivalent to the power produced by 1,000 wind turbines.
However, facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable... two plants that produce fuel and fuel elements for export may continue to operate.

[NYPOST] The gunman accused of killing an Illinois police sergeant and wounding a second cop at a motel was arrested Friday following a massive, multi-state manhunt.
Darius Sullivan, 26, was taken into custody "without incident" Friday morning in Indiana in the ambush attack on Bradley, Ill., Police Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic and her partner, Officer Tyler Bailey.
"Darius Sullivan has warrants out of Illinois for first-degree murder, attempted murder and aggravated battery using a firearm," Indiana State Police Sgt. Glen Fifield said at a press briefing Friday.
"I can confirm that Sullivan is the suspect wanted for the murder of Sgt. Rittimanic and the attempted murder of officer Baily," he said. "He’s currently in jug here at the North Manchester Police Department and will be later transferred to the Wabash Sheriff’s Department."
Sullivan was arrested after cops and the US Marshal Service executed a search warrant at the North Manchester house where he was hiding.
Fifield said the arrest followed an unrelated traffic pursuit around 3:30 a.m. Friday that led police to obtain a search warrant for the house where Sullivan was found.
It is unclear how the two cases are linked or how the traffic stop led cops to Sullivan’s hideout.
Meanwhile, ...back at the dirigible, Cynthia backed into the galley, the barbecue fork held in front of her. Jack! she called. Where the hell are you?... a "person of interest" in the Illinois shooting, Xandria Harris, 26, is still being sought by police, Fifield said.
He said Sullivan is facing possession of drugs and weapons charges for items allegedly found in the home but will be extradited to Illinois to face the more serious charges in the police shootings.
Rittmanic, 49, was rubbed out and Bailey, 27, was critically injured when the two cops responded to a report of dogs barking in a car at a Comfort Inn motel in Illinois, police said.
Bailey was clinging to life Friday, the outlet said.

[IsraelTimes] Ahmad Zahra accused of initiating contact with organization and offering to assist its efforts against Israel, was given encryption software and various tasks over the years
Prosecutors filed an indictment in Jerusalem’s District Court on Friday against a resident of the city, accusing him of aiding the Hezbollah terror group.
Ahmad Zahra, 32, is charged with contact with a foreign agent and providing information to the enemy in order to harm state security.
Prosecutors say Zahra contacted a man in Lebanon Hezbollahstan ...the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity™, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade... nine years ago and told him he wanted to make contact with Hezbollah in order to work for it inside Israel. They say he was given encrypting software by the organization for the purpose of exchanging messages.
Throughout the years Zahra was in contact with his handlers on various occasions, they said. He was given various tasks, including providing the terror group information on the goings-on in the capital, and Paleostinian unrest there.
Zahra is also accused of photographing satellite dishes he believed were a strategic site and sending the pictures to Hezbollah.
Prosecutors said that at a certain point contacts stopped for several years, but were renewed this past year. During his honeymoon in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... , they said, Zahra received funds and a cellphone with encryption technology to allow him to once again contact handlers, which he did upon his return to Israel.
Zahra was arrested before he could carry out further missions.
Earlier this month an Arab Israeli woman was convicted of spying for Hezbollah and was sentenced to 2.5 years in jail after photographing various strategic sites for the group, including Iron Dome batteries and military bases. Mai-Bat Masarwa was found to have sent photos to a Hezbollah agent who contacted her online, including pictures of bases, guard posts, military vehicles and more. Masarwa has confessed to the actions, but claimed she believed she was in touch with a Lebanese news hound, not a Hezbollah man.
And in July another woman, Yasmin Jaber, a resident of the Old City of Jerusalem, was sentenced to 2.5 years in prison for working to recruit Israelis and Paleostinians to carry out terror attacks on behalf of the terror group. Jaber, who worked at the time for the National Library of Israel on the campus of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, was arrested last August after an extensive Shin Bet security service investigation. She was convicted under a plea bargain of contacting an enemy agent, being a member of a terrorist organization illegally traveling abroad, and possessing an article for the purpose of terror.

grew emotional on Wednesday night over having to leave her hometown of Dearborn, Michigan in order to keep serving in Congress after redistricting swiped her seat ahead of the 2022 midterm elections. For the first time in history, Michigan's new map was drawn by an independent commission rather than political operators. That saw the state's number of House seats drop from 14 to 13, and is forcing Dingell out of the 12th Congressional District she took over from her husband, late longtime Rep. I just looked it up: the lady is 68, a bit long in the tooth to start over seducing a new district’s voters. Interestingly, she was registered as a Republican until she married, but changing parties now would be a hard sell nonetheless.
[WASHINGTONTIMES] On Christmas Eve, Eric Green’s Washington Post column, "Ronald Reagan’s Statue Disturbs the Peace at D.C.’s National Airport," called for the 9-foot Gipper to be removed from the route of his afternoon stroll. Those who respect the former president, or just the rule of law, should immediately mount a defense.
Like the title character of Black Sabbath’s "Iron Man," the Reagan statue stands mute, so we must speak up in its defense. Green’s beef is that in 1981, Reagan fired 11,000 air traffic controllers engaged in an illegal strike against the people of the United States.
Here in 2021, the notion of "illegal" seems quaint, as people simply call laws they don’t want to follow "broken." Likewise, "union" is synonymous with "underdog." But it’s average citizens those controllers abandoned at 50,000 feet, breaking their word to the little guy.
Here’s the oath each member of the Professional Air Traffic Controllers Organization union swore to us, their fellow citizens: "I am not participating in any strike against the government of the United States or any agency thereof, and I will not so participate while an employee of the government of the United States or any agency thereof."
The next time you hear about ’80s greed, think of PATCO’s insurrection, threatening to crash jets into tarmacs "Die Hard 2" style for a few extra bucks. We the people are the bosses for government unions, and (as the national debt shows) there is no profit motive for management. This is distinct from a private union whose workers have a right to demand a fair share of what they produce.
Because of these stark differences, federal unions were originally opposed by Big Labor. AFL-CIO President George Meany said, "It is impossible to bargain collectively with the government," and President Franklin Roosevelt called strikes against taxpayers "unthinkable and intolerable."
Franklin D. Roosevelt scolded the National Federation of Federal Employees, "Since their own services have to do with the functioning of the government, a strike of public employees manifests nothing less than an intent on their part to prevent or obstruct the operations of government until their demands are satisfied."

[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] The liberal media that has been silent about Hunter Biden ...son of President Joe: cashiered from the Navy, a crackhead, wheeler dealer, leg humper, horn dog, and general all around ne'er do well. We're supposed to feel sorry for him... has now gone after Ted Cruz; ...US Senator from Texas. Republican contender for president in 2016, his stiff and abrasive manner earned him the title most hated man in the Senate. After a close win over Beto O'Rourke, who tried to out-Lastino him, he grew a beard and let his biting wit shine through. Cruz's comments have been known to leave life-threatening wounds at better than forty feet... ’s young daughter. The Dallas Observer slammed Senator Tex Cruz after discovering a TikTok video in which his 13-year-old daughter said she disagrees with her father.Caroline Cruz told her TikTok audience about the difficulties of having a prominent politician for a father, and said that she doesn't always agree with him. "A lot of people judge me based upon him at first glance," Caroline said, "but I really disagree with most of his views."
"Dang," wrote the Dallas Observer. "That diss probably stung Cruz more than the time Caroline dodged his embrace on the campaign trail."
"I got a lot of new followers because of my father. I was thinking like, pros and cons, because some people are asking, I don't know," Caroline said.
She said the gifts are nice, but the security detail is not, and that on a Christmas card sent out by the family, "they literally made my shirt longer." She showed a photo of herself in the crop-top.
The Dallas Observer dredged up stories from former Trump aide Kellyanne Conway's family, and her teenage daughter's public disagreements with her, comparing her to Caroline Cruz.
The outlet dug into her tweets, such as when a user tweeted that her dad was "awesome" and she replied "ok." They slammed the family's Christmas card, saying that Caroline "looks miserable." It's as though they've never encountered a 13-year-old girl before. They conclude that perhaps "Caroline will get Dire Revenge at the ballot box," despite the fact that eventually would be 5 years away.
Corporate media has declined to report on the adult son of President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The nincompoop who dumped Afghanistan. The copier doesdn't exist that could reelect him.... and his notorious escapades. Hunter Biden, who left his laptop in a Delaware repair shop, abandoning it before it landed in the hands of the New York Post, which then reported, at length, on his illicit escapades and influence peddling, has been given a pass by corporate media outlets.

IIRC, when my daughter was 13, she disagreed with any and all of my views. Now her daughter is 12, and I smile sweetly.

Famous American writer Mark Twain had a snark about how when he was twenty, he thought his old man was a moron. When he was thirty, he was surprised how much the old geezer had learned in 10 years.
