, three Israeli women who were released on the first day of a hostage release-ceasefire deal with the terror group have begun to share details of their ordeal, according to reports in Hebrew media on Monday.

Romi Gonen, 24, Emily Damari, 28, and Doron Steinbrecher, 31, were handed over to the Red Thingy by masked Hamas button men in Gaza City on Sunday afternoon, surrounded by what appeared to be a chaotic crowd of mainly young men, many of them in Hamas uniforms and masked.

"We were scared to death at the transfer point, from the combination of the armed Death Eaters and the Gazook crowd," one of the women was quoted as saying by Channel 12 news, in comments approved for publication by the Israeli military censor.

The former hostages said that they were only told on Saturday that they were set to be released from Gaza the following day.

The three were the first hostages to be released in the initial stage of the three-phase accord, which provides for a total of 33 captives to be freed over 42 days in exchange for nearly 2,000 Paleostinian prisoners.

Gonen was kidnapped from the Supernova rave near Kibbutz Re’im on October 7, 2023, when thousands of Hamas-led Death Eaters burst across the border into Israel, killing some 1,200 people and seizing 251 hostages, mostly civilians. Damari and Steinbrecher were both kidnapped from their homes at nearby Kibbutz Kfar Aza, during the terror rampage.

Channel 12 reported that the women said they were not held alone during their time in captivity, and that they were moved to various places in Gaza, including the designated "humanitarian zone" in the south of the Strip.

Some of the hostages said that they hardly saw the light of day over the past 15 months, spending most of their time in captivity underground.

They said that from time to time, they were exposed to television and radio news, including protests calling for the government to secure the release of the hostages held in Gaza.

"We saw your struggle," the former hostages were quoted as saying. "We heard our families fighting for us."

They were also said to have pieced together the details of the brutal Hamas attack that sparked the war, and they knew that their families had survived, though many of their friends were killed during the assault.

"I didn’t think I would come back. I thought I’d die in Gaza," one of the hostages was quoted by Channel 12 as saying.

The report added that while the women sometimes received medicines they required, one of them underwent a medical procedure without anesthesia during her captivity.

Both Damari and Gonen were shot during the terror attack in which they were kidnapped. Damari lost two fingers as a result of her injury.

Other former hostages who were released in a weeklong truce in November 2023 said they underwent surgery without anesthesia.

Also on Monday, parents and siblings of the three released hostages held a presser at the Sheba Medical Center, where the women were airlifted on Sunday evening, and said that they were all doing well. They also extended their gratitude to the government, the negotiators, US President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
, and the Israeli people for their support and assistance in bringing their loved ones home.

Hamas confirmed in an official statement on Monday that the next hostage release under the nascent ceasefire deal will take place on Saturday, January 25, as initially scheduled, despite a previous claim from the terror group’s prisoners’ office.

Four hostages are set to be released this coming Saturday. Over the following four weeks, three hostages will be released each Saturday, until a final group of 14 on day 42 of the ceasefire.

2 Israelis injured, apparently shot by cop, as settlers attack West Bank Palestinians
[IsraelTimes] Men in 20s taken to hospital in critical and serious condition; they reportedly attacked an officer as others set fire to homes and cars in nearby Palestinian villages

Two Israeli men were apparently shot and badly injured by a police officer in the West Bank late Monday, medics said, during an alleged attack by settlers on two Paleostinian villages.

The incident came as Paleostinian media reported that settlers had attacked the villages of Jinsafut and al-Funduq, setting fire to homes and vehicles.

According to media reports, the two masked Israelis attacked a Border Police officer near a settler outpost close to the Paleostinian villages and pepper-sprayed him. The officer in response opened fire, wounding the pair. It was unclear why the men attacked the officer.

The Magen David Adom ambulance service said the men in their 20s were listed in critical and serious condition after being shot near the settlement of Ramat Gilad. They were taken to Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba.

Police did not immediately comment on the reports.

The Israel Defense Forces said troops and Border Police officers were dispatched to the area to disperse the "violent mostly peaceful rioting." It later said that the rioting was dispersed by the forces.

The chief of the IDF’s Central Command, Maj. Gen. Avi Bluth, the head of the West Bank division, Brig. Gen. Yaki Dolf, and head of the Civil Administration, Brig. Gen. Hisham Ibrahim, were set to hold an assessment in the area, the army added.

There were no reports of arrests in the attack on the Paleostinian villages.

A night earlier, Israeli assailants set homes and vehicles ablaze in three West Bank Paleostinian villages and pelted Paleostinian cars with rocks, apparently in violent mostly peaceful protest over the release of Paleostinian prisoners within the framework of the hostage-ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas

The IDF said two suspects were detained in the Sunday night rioting.

Israeli authorities have been accused of turning a blind eye to claims of rampant settler violence, with many attributing the lack of response to the government’s far-right flank, including outgoing police minister Itamar Ben Gvir, a lawyer known for previously defending settlers accused of violent mostly peaceful attacks in court. There have been few arrests and even fewer convictions, according to observers.

On Friday, Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that all seven Jewish Israelis held on allegations of settler violence under administrative detention orders would be freed, tying it to the release of Paleostinian terror convicts as part of the hostage-ceasefire deal signed in Qatar

IDF says it opened fire on suspects who ‘posed threat’ to troops in Rafah
[IsraelTimes] Earlier today, the IDF says it opened fire on Palestinian suspects who “posed a threat” to troops stationed in southern Gaza’s Rafah.

Israeli forces are still deployed inside the Gaza Strip, during the ceasefire with Hamas. The IDF has issued several warnings to Palestinians not to approach areas where troops are positioned.

According to the military, the suspects who approached troops in Rafah were shot and hit. “Further details are under review,” the IDF says.

Graphic footage circulating on social media today purports to show a Palestinian man coming under fire while trying to drag the body of a teenager who was also shot. It is unclear if the footage, reportedly from Rafah, is of the same incident reported by the IDF.

“The IDF is acting in accordance with the ceasefire agreement, and is maintaining a security zone in accordance with the agreement,” the military says.

Hamas leader says terror group prepared for dialogue with US, credits Trump with ‘ending’ Gaza war; PA’s Abbas ditto
Sucking up in the hope of charming the stupid American into turning his back on Israel.
[IsraelTimes] A senior Hamas leader says that the terror group is ready for dialogue with the US and credits US President Donald Trump with “ending” the war in Gaza.

“We’re prepared for a dialogue with America and achieving understandings on everything,” Qatar-based Mousa Abu Marzouk tells The New York Times.

His comments came on Sunday after the release of three Israeli hostages in the first stage of a hostage-ceasefire deal.

The report notes that it is not clear if Abu Marzouk speaks on behalf of all Hamas leadership, including the hardline terror leaders in Gaza.

Abu Marzouk calls Trump a “serious president.”

“If not for President Trump, his insistence on ending the war, and his dispatching of a decisive representative, the deal wouldn’t have happened,” says Abu Marzouk, referring to new Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff.

“Truthfully, Trump gets the credit for ending the war,” he says.

Abu Marzouk says Witkoff is welcome to visit Gaza.

“He can come and see the people and try to understand their feelings and wishes so that the American position can be based on the interests of all the parties, and not only one party,” he says.

Abbas says ready to work with Trump toward peace ‘according to the two-state solution’
[IsraelTimes] Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas has congratulated Donald Trump on his return as US president, according to a statement published by the PA’s official Wafa news agency.

“We are ready to work with you to achieve peace during your era, according to the two-state solution based on international legitimacy, the State of Palestine and the State of Israel living side by side in security and peace, and to achieve security and stability in our region and the world,” says the statement on Wafa’s English-language site.

Hamas: Gaza ‘will rise again… and continue on path of steadfastness until occupation is defeated’
[IsraelTimes] Hamas says that Gaza and its people “will rise again” and rebuild the territory battered by more than 15 months of war sparked by the Palestinian terror group’s October 2023 invasion of southern Israel.

“Gaza, with its great people and its resilience, will rise again to rebuild what the occupation has destroyed and continue on the path of steadfastness until the occupation is defeated,” Hamas says in a statement issued on the second day of a hostage-ceasefire deal with Israel.

#1  While it is true, Trump coming back into office likely is the icing on the cake.

The IDF is the real reason, and Hamas is just trying to avoid stating the truth everyone knows and is slapping Hamas in the face.

Which is the IDF has decimated Hamas' and other area terrorist groups numbers since Oct. 7th 2023. Add to the fact, Iran is losing control of its collection of surrounding controlled Arab nations. Iran, the world's main sponsor of Islamic Terrorism, is having serious $$$$$$ issues, and now a serious growing internal problem with its citizenry openly rebelling.

In short, Hamas has played the usual terrorist game.
Strike, make the news, get their asses handed to them, hint at a peace treaty, make outrageous demands, milked it for all its media worth, play it for months, settle and rebuild to strike again using another name.

#2  credits US President Donald Trump with “ending” the war in Gaza.

It is only a ceasefire. This is a crude attempt at persuasion by talking past the sale.

#3  This phase ended faster because Trump doesn't give a shit about the Hamas supporters here. They will try to rebuild and go at Israel again in 5 years.

Now if Trump gives Iran a twist, Hamas and Hezbollah are truly fucked.

Childcare center torched in latest antisemitic attack in Australia, no injuries
[IsraelTimes] A childcare center in Sydney was set alight early morning today and antisemitic graffiti was sprayed on the wall, authorities say, the latest in a spate of attacks in Australia targeting the Jewish community.

The childcare center, located near a Jewish school and synagogue in the city’s east, suffered extensive damage but there were no reports of injuries in the attack which occurred around 1 a.m. (1400 GMT, Monday), police say.

"Fuck the Jews," is written the wall next to the center.

It was the second antisemitic attack on property in four days in Sydney, and comes amid a spate of similar crimes targeting the Jewish community in Australia’s most-populous city.

New South Wales state Premier Chris Minns says the perpetrators would be caught and police have put more resources into investigating hate crimes, as public frustration grows over the lack of arrests following previous antisemitic attacks.

"The kind of people who would ... attack a fellow Australian whom they don’t know because of their race or religion, it is completely disgusting and these bastards will be rounded up by the police," Minns says during a media briefing.
What about all the other bastards? Australia has had a problem with her Lebanese for decades, not to mention the current crop of Israel-hating politicians, who haven’t cared a fig that Australian Jews were being harassed — since 10/7 in the name of Hamas.

The ‘madman strategy': The secret behind Trump's foreign policy
[RT] Why the 47th president’s Greenland move could reshape the world order

Donald Trump certainly knows how to grab attention. The new US president has entered the 2025 political season like a bull in a china shop.

In less than a month, Trump and his team have managed to rattle Canada, Mexico, and Panama. But while these moves could be dismissed as political trolling, it’s Denmark that’s really on edge. Overnight, Greenland, previously regarded as a remote, unremarkable landmass, has become the crown jewel of Trump’s imperial ambitions.

Reports from US media insiders suggest Trump is “100% serious” about his intention to grab the island. The president-elect has even hinted at taking the island by force if Denmark refuses to sell. This has sparked a flurry of debates in the American press, with even Trump’s detractors weighing the military capabilities of America and Denmark and calculating the potential benefits of controlling Greenland.

Naturally, theories abound as to why Trump is so fixated on this land. Broadly, these explanations fall into three categories. First, Greenland might be part of Trump’s larger, yet unclear, plan for a geopolitical reordering of the world. Second, Greenland’s rare earth metals and its strategic Northwest Passage – a North American counterpart to Russia’s Northern Sea Route – could give the US a critical edge over China. Finally, skeptics argue that Trump’s obsession with Greenland is nothing more than a personal whim, fueled by his desire to secure a place in history.

Trump’s penchant for “bigger,” “greater,” and “brighter” projects certainly fits the narrative. What could be more monumental than securing the largest territorial acquisition in modern history? Colonizing Mars is Elon Musk’s business, but annexing Greenland – now that’s a legacy-defining move. However, this theory falters when considering the practical implications of such a move.

What’s the point of annexing Greenland? The US already maintains a military presence in the Arctic. Greenland’s resources could be accessed through negotiations with Denmark, likely at a much lower cost than outright control. And the geopolitical fallout would be immense. Whether or not the EU retaliates, NATO – already strained – would be effectively dismantled. A rift between the US and Western Europe could push the EU closer to Russia or even China, severing access to critical overseas markets and military infrastructure. For a president promoting the philosophy of Make America Great Again, such risks seem counterproductive.

A more plausible explanation is that Trump doesn’t actually intend to annex Greenland but rather aims to increase American control over its resources and strategic location without formal acquisition. To achieve this, Trump is deploying his signature “madman” strategy.

Consider the famous scene from the Russian TV series Streets of Broken Lights, where Anatoly Dukalis, pointing a machine gun at criminals, shouts, “I’m a fool, I served in Afghanistan! Drop your weapons!” The criminals comply, not because Dukalis is actually insane, but because he convincingly pretends to be. Trump’s approach is remarkably similar. Over the years, the American media has cultivated his image as an erratic, dangerous madman. To many, the phrase “crazy idiot” is now synonymous with Donald Trump.

Remarkably, this “madman” strategy works. By playing into expectations that he’s unpredictable and willing to do the unthinkable, Trump forces his adversaries to make concessions. During the campaign, Trump threatened to crack down on social media and jail journalists he deemed unfair. After his victory, he appointed Brendan Carr to head the Federal Communications Commission. Carr promptly vowed to dismantle companies censoring their platforms. On January 11, Mark Zuckerberg gave a tearful interview to Joe Rogan, detailing how the Biden administration suppressed free speech and pleading for Trump’s protection against European censors.

In the case of Greenland, Trump has done little more than make provocative statements. Yet Danish officials are already reaching out to his team, proposing to expand US bases on the island and expressing a readiness for dialogue to avoid losing their territory. It wouldn’t be surprising if Denmark now offers Washington significant concessions.

If this is where it ends, Greenland could go down as one of the most audacious political scams in modern history.

The geopolitical implications of Trump’s gambit are significant. The island’s rare earth metals are crucial for high-tech industries, and control of the Northwest Passage could alter global trade routes. However, the most important outcome might be the impact on NATO. A serious rift would mark the end of the alliance as we know it.

The irony of Trump’s strategy is that it relies on the very media narratives that portray him as a threat to the Western world order. By leveraging his reputation as an unpredictable “psychopath,” Trump is reshaping the global chessboard in ways that his predecessors never could.

The story of Greenland’s annexation may remain unfinished, but one thing is clear: Donald Trump’s “madman” strategy continues to defy conventional wisdom, forcing even his fiercest critics to play along.

Russian diplomats claim Trump is ‘trolling' Canada – media
[RT] US President Donald Trump is unlikely to actually annex Canada by force and is simply “trolling” outgoing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the press service of Russia’s embassy in Ottawa has told the Daily Storm.

Ahead of his inauguration on Monday, Trump had suggested that Canada should become the 51st state of the US, adding that Washington could use “economic force” to absorb its northern neighbor.

In an article published on Monday, the outlet quoted the diplomats as stating that what Trump is doing “looks more like a cruel joke, an attempt to tease Canadians, trolling the current Canadian leadership,” particularly given the lack of “personal chemistry” between him and Trudeau.

The embassy is said to have suggested that it was “hardly worth talking about any attempts at a forceful takeover, an armed conflict or a split in NATO” and noted that Trump’s loud statements may be linked to upcoming trade negotiations between the US and Canada.

Trump had previously announced plans to impose sweeping tariffs on Canada, Mexico and China after he takes office, including a 25% tax on all Canadian imports to the US.

“Trump is creating division and confusion within the Canadian political establishment. In doing so, he is softening Ottawa’s position ahead of the inevitable future trade negotiations,” the diplomats told the outlet, adding that the “nervous and pliant reaction” to the provocation suggests that Trump “is already winning” in this regard.

A message from a terrorist to the world
[Jpost] Letter from a terrorist to the world is written by Jerusalem Jane to reveal the horrendous reality and deep trauma facing the Jewish people and Israel when the world and mainstream media again and again is failing Israel and is believing the lies from Israel's enemies.
A heartbreaking, very partial catalogue of Palestinian atrocities against Israeli Jews since 2011. Hamas does not deserve to negotiate with America for aid in rebuilding. Hope will not drive Gaza to become a partner for peace.

Israel send firefighting and rescue experts to aid US with LA fire
[Jpost] "The special relationship between America and Israel on display!" The House Foreign Affairs Committee Republicans said on X Saturday.

…using advanced Israeli technology to help contain the fires. The team also met with Congressman Brad Sherman yesterday, who thanked them for their support. “We are proud to offer our support to California,” said Israel Bachar, Consul General of Israel. The team will continue their mission to protect lives and minimize damage. #Israel #LosAngeles #WildfireResponse #USIsraelPartnership

The Israeli consulate in Los Angeles said on X on Friday that the experts would be working alongside local fire fighting units and the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services using “advanced Israeli technology to help contain the fires.”

“This delegation is further evidence of the friendship and deep commitment of the relations between Israel and the United States, and of the importance that the State of Israel places in assisting its great friend as it deals with one of the largest fires that the state of California has ever known,” said the Israeli ministries.

California Congressman Brad Sherman welcomed the Israel firefighters, noting that Israel was absorbing the costs of the delegation.

The Israeli ministries and the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia said that the Israeli experts were sent with the assistance of the Emergency Volunteers Project, an organization funded by the federation and established 16 years ago to aid Israeli emergency services during national disasters.

Israeli NGO Lev Echad
…”One Heart”…
sent its own delegation of emergency response experts last Tuesday, hoping to help with the development of infrastructure to improve aid efforts in the LA area.

“The goal of the delegation is to work in collaboration with local leadership, aid organizations, and new volunteers, providing tools to build unified systems that enhance community response and recovery,” said Lev Echad CEO Tomer Dror.

Local Jewish groups have also started their own initiatives, with the Jewish Federation Los Angeles working to provide mental health support, meals, and shelter for people displaced by the fires. The Jewish group said on its website that it also started a Wildfire Crisis Relief Fund to “support our neighbors affected by this catastrophic event.”

“In these challenging times, the strength and resilience of our Los Angeles community shines brightest,” JFEDLA said on its website. “Together, we can support those in need and help rebuild what has been lost.”

While Israeli projects have sought to aid victims of the fire, the Adalah Justice Project

and Jewish Voice for Peace
…another Tides Foundation recipient, they’re a radical anti-Israel and anti-Zionist activist group that advocates for the boycott of Israel and eradication of Zionism, deploying their claimed Jewish identity as defense against the charge of Jew-hate…
took to social media on January 10 to blame Israel for the severity of the disaster.

“Billions for genocide abroad worsen environmental crises at home,” Adalah and JVP said in an Instagram post criticizing the US government for aid to Israel that could have been used to respond to the LA fires.

The anti-Israel groups claimed that the Israeli war against Gazan terrorist organizations had “emitted more carbon than twenty of the world’s most climate-vulnerable countries” in a year, “exacerbating climate change.”

... a U.S. anti-war group. The group describes itself as a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education, green jobs and other life-affirming activities. It was founded in 2002 by Jodie Evans, Medea Benjamin and of the other usual antiwar suspects. Its website lists hysterical allegations of US war crimes, and states that thousands of civilians were killed in Fallujah in 2004. Maybe it was millions. Benjamin was a 2000 candidate for the U.S. Senate on the Green Party ticket. She lost...
Nowadays the war that Code Pink concentrates on is Israel vs Hamas. They’re funded by Neville Roy Singham, a Shanghai-based American billionaire tied to China’s Communist Party. His wife is Jodi Evans…
also connected the war in Gaza to the LA fires, claiming on Substack that a war economy was prioritized over “respect for indigenous caretaking practices and life.”

“Amidst a world that has gone through imperialist ecocidal war for decades, the world’s biodiversity, much of which is in sovereign indigenous land, has been decimated,” Code Pink said earlier in January.

The new CIA director and the Tehran regime headache - opinion
[Jpost] Approximately 1-2 hours following Donald Trump's inauguration as the 47th President of the United States, the Senate Intelligence Committee appointed John Ratcliffe as the CIA Director. He is tasked with leading the world's foremost intelligence and espionage organizations during this particularly critical period.

Unlike some former CIA directors who for mere thousands of dollars would disgrace themselves by attending fanatical Islamic terrorism events such as those hosted by the MEK, exchanging integrity for money, Ratcliffe would never fabricate baseless lies and empty rhetoric against the Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, the most esteemed and influential figure of the Iranian opposition.

Mike Pompeo, refuses to recognize that the Islamic Republic and the MEK are two sides of the same coin, with this terrorist group originating from the Freedom Movement — supporters of Khomeini and Mossadegh — and this notorious and shameful group having blood on their hands from Americans such as Colonel Paul Shaffer, Jack Turner, and Oveis Hawkins.

Ratcliffe is committed to ethics, principles, and the pillars of free thought. He understands that if Tehran's regime were to collapse, the transitional period would require a strong, reputable, and credible leader to guide society temporarily until it can choose its own path via democratic means—whether toward a modern democratic republic or a return to its monarchical roots, reflecting the true course of Iranian civilization and history.

On Egypt border, senior IDF officer warns quietest ‘front' has potential to erupt
Speaking of borders and fences ...
[IsraelTimes] Col. Shemer Raviv details challenges on 200-kilometer border for which he is responsible, including the increasing threat of drones

The 200-kilometer-long border Israel shares with Egypt is not considered one of the multiple fronts of the ongoing war sparked by the Hamas terror group’s October 7, 2023, onslaught.

Yet, amid the conflict, significant changes have been taking place on the Egyptian border fence. The commander of the regional brigade charged with the border warned in an interview with The Times of Israel last week that there is potential for this “front” to erupt.

“If you ask the IDF chief of staff he’ll tell you we have seven fronts in the war. He doesn’t count this one, despite the situation here,” Col. Shemer Raviv, the commander of the Paran Regional Brigade, said during a tour of the border.

The Israel-Egypt border has been largely peaceful since the two countries signed a peace agreement in 1979, Israel’s first with an Arab state.

By 1982, Israeli forces had withdrawn from Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula, which they had conquered during previous wars, and a border between the countries was established based on an arbitrary line drawn in the sand from Rafah to Eilat, in a 1906 agreement between the British and Ottoman empires.

In 2010, Israel began to construct a large barrier along the border, largely aimed at keeping out African migrants and Islamic terrorists who operate in Egypt’s Sinai.

“In the years before that, there was a lot of smuggling — drug smuggling, prostitution smuggling, human smuggling. The highlight of it all was the infiltrators who come from Africa,” Raviv said, recalling that when he was a company commander in the Paratroopers Brigade he was dispatched from the border with the Gaza Strip to help handle the thousands of incoming economic migrants and asylum seekers by taking them to Beersheba’s central bus station.

By 2013, the 241-kilometer-long barrier (longer than the actual border due to sections that wind through the mountainous terrain) was completed, and the number of people crossing into Israel dropped drastically.

Still, there were frequent attempts to smuggle drugs over Israel’s tall fence. Such operations generally involve a group of smugglers on the Egyptian side throwing packages of heroin, marijuana, or other contraband over the border, where they are retrieved by Bedouin Israelis in trucks.

“In the following decade, a phenomenon of smuggling developed here. It existed before but now on a [larger] scale. Some of the smugglings were violent smugglings,” Raviv said.

In January 2024, a group of some 60 smugglers — most of them armed — came toward the Egyptian side of the border in an attempt to send contraband into Israel. According to the brigade commander, 10 of the smugglers ran toward the border, while the other 50 opened fire both on the Egyptian border guards — to cause them to shelter in their positions — and on Israeli soldiers who had been dispatched to prevent the smuggling.

The Israeli soldiers returned fire, killing five of the smugglers, Raviv said. One IDF servicewoman was injured when she was shot in the stomach in the gun battle.

The fact that Israeli soldiers returned fire in this case was not a given. Until the summer of 2023, in most cases of violent smugglings, the IDF would disengage and not get involved, the commander said.

But on June 3, 2023, an Egyptian border guard infiltrated into Israel via a shared opening in the fence and killed two IDF soldiers manning a guardpost. Another soldier was killed in a later exchange of fire with the gunman, who was also eliminated.

After the deadly incident, “we decided to change our policy because we understood that the criminal smugglings are also a security danger,” Raviv said.

During the war with the Hamas terror group in Gaza that began a few months later, the IDF officially changed its open-fire regulations on the Egypt border, allowing troops to use deadly force against smugglers. Top officers instructed the Paran Brigade to prevent all attempts to cross the border or smuggle contraband over it.

“Following a change in the open-fire policy, the enemy also changes. [The smuggler] no longer reaches the fence, because he understands that we will hurt him,” the commander said. “Another phenomenon develops and this is the phenomenon of the drones, which started more or less in May [2024], and began to gain momentum.”

According to Raviv, smugglers on the Israeli side of the border would arrive quietly at areas between a kilometer and five kilometers (half a mile to three miles) from the fence, “without anyone seeing them.”

The smugglers would then fly drones over the border to Egypt, and land them between one and three kilometers from the fence. There, smugglers on the Egyptian side would load the drone with contraband, usually drugs but also firearms, and the smugglers on the Israeli side would pilot the drone back to their possession, the commander said.

Raviv said that the military didn’t even realize that this was happening at the start. “We had for about two months where we were ‘tipsy’ on defeating the smuggling, because they stopped coming,” he said. “But they came from another way.”

The commander said that the smuggling attempts using drones make his job easier to some extent. “Now it is clear that anyone coming [to the border] plans to carry out a terror attack. If in the past I had a dilemma between criminal activity and terror, today it is very clear what is happening on the fence.”

To prevent drones from being flown over the border, troops are allowed to open fire on them in an attempt to knock them out of the sky. Additionally, the IDF has deployed electronic warfare capabilities that can jam or take control of the drones and bring them down.

“Today we are in a learning competition,” Raviv said. “We understand that the attempts will continue, and our task here is to not allow this phenomenon to develop. We don’t want drugs to be smuggled over. Definitely not weapons, the kind that could harm innocent people.”

The brigade commander said he assessed that Israel’s control of the Philadelphi Corridor, the border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip, has led to more smuggling attempts on Israel’s border with Egypt where there are far fewer troops.

But Raviv said he was worried that the smuggling attempts using drones could develop into a far more dangerous threat, such as explosives-bearing drones or aircraft large enough to fly people over the border.

A major challenge for the Israeli side is being able to respond to the attempts, the commander said.

“If someone comes to the fence we can shoot them. But if someone sends up a drone on the other side of the border three kilometers in?” he said, meaning that only Egyptian forces would be able to act in those cases, and not the IDF.

On Israel’s side of the border, a major challenge is being able to use live fire against the smugglers in areas that are not adjacent to the border fence, if attempts to arrest them fail.

“If in the past the answer was to fire warning shots or shoot at the legs, even if it was an Israeli citizen. An Israeli citizen who tried to reach the border, that’s reasonable [to shoot]. But when you go five kilometers deep?” Raviv said.

“There’s a risk of ‘friendly fire’ with my forces here, there are other security forces, and there are hikers. This keeps me awake at night; this is the challenge,” he said.

Raviv said he has enough troops on the border for the current threats, but “it really matters in which direction this front develops.”

The Paran Regional Brigade currently has just two standing army battalions — the mixed-gender light infantry Caracal and Bardelas battalions — with some reservist units and police backup. The Egyptian border is one of the few areas in Israel with a significant permanent presence of female combat soldiers.

“I do think that it could easily become worse and more serious, and that’s also why we’re working hard to build more outposts here, to be prepared to absorb more forces,” he said.

“In the face of the potential threats, there aren’t enough troops.”

Trump order appears to target some foreigners participating in anti-Israel protests
[IsraelTimes] Executive decree says US government must be ‘vigilant’ in issuing visas and ensure recipients support ‘do not advocate for, aid, or support designated foreign terrorists’

An executive order signed by US President Donald Trump on Monday appeared to target, among others, foreign nationals who participated in anti-Israel protests that swept throughout the country since Hamas’s October 7, 2023, onslaught, and which sometimes featured support for the Palestinian terror group.

The Executive Order Protecting the United States from Foreign Terrorists and Other National Security and Public Threats stated that the government must be “vigilant” in issuing visas to foreign nationals and ensure that those approved “do not intend to harm Americans or our national interests.”

The order signed by Trump shortly after his inauguration required the US government to ensure that foreign nationals “not bear hostile attitudes toward its citizens, culture, government, institutions, or founding principles, and do not advocate for, aid, or support designated foreign terrorists and other threats to our national security.”

Trump campaigned on cracking down on the anti-Israel protests, particularly those on college campuses, but it was not yet clear how exactly he’d go about doing it, given free speech laws in the US.
Despite the approach taken over the pst four years by the Biden Justice Department and Soros prosecutors, riots, threatening Jewish and Zionist students, and advocating same do not constitute protected speech, and therefore can all be prosecuted under current laws, I believe. Leadership of organizations that support listed terror groups like Hamas and/or organized the riots and threats against Jewish and Zionist students ditto — that should sweep up many of them, and looking at membership cross-tabbed with facial recognition in posted videos and photos will catch even more. A close look at their connections for links to proscribed domestic and/or international terror groups should nicely limit the targets of this EO to those about whom there would be no question of the legality of their expulsion, if not conviction for terror offenses under current laws. I am not a lawyer, of course, but I imagine trained lawyers could find legal ways to accomplish the president’s objective on this.
“When I am president we will not allow our colleges to be taken over by violent radicals,” Trump said at a rally in May. “If you come from another country and try to bring jihadism or anti-Americanism or antisemitism to our campuses we will immediately deport you. You’ll be out of that school.”

The Republican party also included a commitment to “deport pro-Hamas radicals and make our college campuses safe and patriotic again” on a list of 20 promises made in the party platform adopted at its National Convention in July.

The legality of expelling foreign nationals from the United States for participating in a protest has not yet been tested, but the move would likely be extremely controversial.
Only the first few times. Once the courts have tested it, the rest will flow like butter.
It is not clear how many foreign students have been involved in the anti-Israel protests.
From what we’ve seen here, it’s lots.
GOP officials and pro-Israel groups told NBC News last year that they have so far identified only four who were known to have been arrested, expelled, or barred from graduating due to their participation in the demonstrations.

Protests roiled many college campuses, as well as cities and towns, in response to Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza, sparked by the October 7, 2023, invasion of southern Israel in which terrorists killed some 1,200 people, committed mass atrocities and took 251 hostages to the Strip.

Portrait of Gen. Mark Milley taken down from Pentagon wall hours after Trump inauguration
[USA Today] A portrait of Mark Milley, the retired general and former Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman who former President Biden preemptively pardoned on Monday morning, was taken off the wall of the Pentagon hours after President Donald Trump was inaugurated.

The portrait had disappeared from the hallway's wall less than two hours after Trump was sworn in at noon, according to multiple reports. A Defense Department official declined comment to USA TODAY.

Milley, a four-star general with a more-than-four-decade military career, was appointed chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the nation's highest ranking military officer, by Trump in 2018. But he earned Trump’s wrath by criticizing Trump for his role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and calling China to reassure the country that Trump would not attack it.

Another One Bites The Dust: EV Startup Canoo Files For Bankruptcy
[ZeroHedge] The EV world has gotten more and more competitive over the last few years. It's become saturated with competition and demand is starting to hit its limits, all while at the same time major Chinese names are dominating the industry.

That's why it's not surprising to see another name in the space, Canoo , file for bankruptcy.

The seven-year-old electric vehicle startup has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Delaware, announcing it will "cease operations immediately." The company is liquidating its assets, citing failed attempts to secure foreign capital and funding from the U.S. Department of Energy's Loan Program Office, according to TechCrunch.

Canoo's bankruptcy filing lists over $164 million in liabilities against $126 million in assets, with hundreds of creditors owed.

This move follows weeks of turmoil, including worker furloughs, the shutdown of its Oklahoma factory, and an inability to deliver more than a few electric vans to customers in 2024. By mid-November, Canoo reported having just $700,000 in cash.

TechCrunch writes that Canoo joins companies like Lordstown and Proterra in bankruptcy. After going public in 2020 and raising $600 million, Canoo produced few vehicles, tested by partners like NASA and USPS. A non-binding 2022 deal with Walmart for 10,000 EVs never materialized.

Canoo, founded in 2017 by ex-Faraday Future executives, initially focused on modular EVs and advanced tech, even attracting interest from Apple. After going public, CEO Tony Aquila shifted focus to commercial fleets and frequently changed manufacturing plans, including unfulfilled moves to Arkansas and Oklahoma.

Aquila's financial firm profited from Canoo, collecting payments for office space, a corporate jet, and loans secured by company equipment. Signs of trouble grew in 2024, with office closures, layoffs, and customer deposit refunds. Canoo ultimately declared bankruptcy, ending its turbulent run.

Government Corruption
Despite Biden Pardon, Fauci Still Faces Legal Perils. Here They Are...
[ZeroHedge] President Biden’s pardon of Dr. Anthony Fauci may protect the former National Institutes of Health official from immediate criminal prosecution, but some critics say he is not completely out of legal jeopardy and that public sentiment might still condemn the man who became known during the COVID-19 pandemic as “Mr. Science.”

In the days before Biden offered the pardon to Fauci, along with other critics of Donald Trump, some experts who have followed Fauci’s career and handling of the pandemic, as well as members of the Trump transition team, reiterated their assertion that Fauci perjured himself on several occasions during the pandemic – especially regarding his agency’s links to the lab in Wuhan, China, that might have created the virus that causes COVID-19.

The pardon addresses any COVID-related offenses, and is backdated to 2014—the year a U.S. ban on so-called "gain of function" virus research took effect -- research Fauci is accused of outsourcing to China.

Despite reporting that Trump is bent on revenge, the appetite among MAGA appointees for holding Fauci accountable hasn’t been particularly vocal. But former Senate investigator Jason Foster, who now runs the whistleblower nonprofit Empower Oversight, says that Biden’s pardon creates new legal jeopardy for Fauci. Sen. Rand Paul has vowed to continue investigating the COVID origins question, and sources tell RealClearInvestigations that Sen. Ron Johnson and House Republican investigators plan to do so as well. When testifying in those inquiries or answering written depositions, Fauci will be unable to dodge questions by invoking his Fifth Amendment protections against self-incrimination. “They can ask him if he lied before, replough old ground,” Foster said. “And if he lies about any prior lie, he can be prosecuted for that or held in contempt.”

Andrew Noymer, associate professor of population health and disease prevention at the University of California, Irvine, said such hearings are necessary for scientific and historical reasons. “I’m hopeful that he will now come clean about everything he knows about the origins of the virus,” Noymer said. “For the sake of public trust in science – explaining what killed 20 million people – that a complete account is much more important than speculation about what criminal penalties he may have avoided.”

“These pardons will not stop Department of Justice investigations,” said one adviser to the Trump transition team, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “We expected this and look at it as a predicate to get truth from people who can no longer use the Fifth Amendment. Now we can bring every one of them in front of a grand jury.”

What executive orders did Trump sign on day one?
[BBC] Immigration

'National emergency'

Trump has proclaimed that "America's sovereignty is under attack", declaring this to be a national emergency that allows him to free up more funding to reinforce the border with Mexico.

The same directive tells officials to relaunch efforts to build a border wall with Mexico that was started under his first presidency. This is not an executive order and it is unclear how such an effort might be funded.

Closing the border

The president has told the military to "seal the borders" - citing the flow of illicit drugs, human smuggling and crime relating to crossings.

Birthright citizenship

Trump has ordered that officials deny the right to citizenship to the children of migrants either in the US illegally or on temporary visas.

But the 14th Amendment to the US Constitution has long been interpreted to enshrine that right, and Trump's order was immediately challenged in federal court.

Terrorism designation for gangs and cartels

Trump has designated drug cartels and international gangs as foreign terrorist organisations - adding the likes of Salvadoran gang MS-13 to a list that includes the so-called Islamic State.

'Remain in Mexico' and no more 'catch and release'

Trump has re-implemented his "Remain in Mexico" policy from his first term. This returned about 70,000 non-Mexican asylum seekers across the border to await hearings, before being cancelled by President Joe Biden.

The same order demands the end of "catch and release", a policy that allows migrants to live in US communities while they await their hearings. Trump has previously promised "the largest deportation program in American history", but this could face legal and logistical challenges.

The order also shut down a major Biden-era immigration pipeline: a sponsorship initiative that allowed up to 30,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela to fly to the US. It had been designed to cut illegal crossings.

Death penalty for some immigrant criminals

Trump has ordered that the federal death penalty be reinstated. Executions have not happened in recent years. It would apply to any "capital crime committed by an alien illegally present in this country" and anyone convicted of murdering a law-enforcement officer.

Refugee resettlement

Trump has suspended the US refugee resettlement programme, though details remain unclear.

Climate and energy

Pull out of the Paris agreement (again)

Trump has signed off on withdrawing from the Paris climate agreement - the landmark international deal to limit rising global temperatures. He will have to wait a year before it happens. He previously withdrew in 2017, before Biden re-entered.

'Energy emergency'

Trump has declared a "national energy emergency", promising to fill up oil reserves. In his inaugural address, he vowed to "drill, baby, drill" for more fossil fuels.

Alaskan fuel

He signed an executive order titled "unleashing Alaska's extraordinary resource potential", pledging to "unlock" oil, gas and other natural resources from the state.

End Green New Deal

Trump has halted the Green New Deal, a series of Biden measures that were aimed at boosting green jobs, regulating the fossil fuel industry and limiting pollution.

He has ordered agencies to halt funds appropriated through two laws, the Inflation Reduction Act and another law on infrastructure and jobs. He said the US would end leasing to wind farms and revoke what he calls an electric vehicle "mandate".

World Health Organization

Trump signed an executive order to begin the process of withdrawing the US from the UN's health body, the World Health Organization (WHO).

This marks the second time Trump has ordered the US be pulled out of the WHO, after Biden re-entered it. He was critical of how the Geneva-based institution handled Covid-19.

Diversity and gender

Transgender people

Trump has declared that the US will only recognise "two sexes, male and female. These sexes are not changeable and are grounded in fundamental and incontrovertible reality". It is expected to affect transgender policies relating to government communications, civil rights protections and federal funding, as well as prisons. It will affect official documents like passports and visas.

In the same executive order, Trump ended all government programmes, policies, statements and communications that promote or support "gender ideology".

DEI

Trump has also halted all "diversity, equity and inclusion" (DEI) programmes within the federal government - labelling them "radical and wasteful". The administration has also promised further actions that may affect the private sector.

TikTok

Trump has signed a directive postponing by 75 days the implementation of a law that would ban Chinese-owned app TikTok in the US. The platform had briefly been shut the day before the inauguration, to comply with the law - which demands that a new American owner be found.

Trump formerly backed a TikTok ban, but indicated he reversed course after his campaign videos attracted billions of views. Asked what the action does after he signed it, he said it gives him the right to "sell it or close it".

2021 Capitol riot

Pardoning hundreds who stormed US Capitol

Trump announced he was issuing pardons for nearly 1,600 of his supporters who were arrested in the riot at the US Capitol in 2021.

Trump has repeatedly referred to those arrested in the riot as "hostages". At least 600 were charged with assaulting or impeding federal officers.

Commuting sentences of Oath Keepers, Proud Boys

Trump also commuted sentences for members of the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys, far-right groups who were convicted of seditious conspiracy in relation to the riot.

A lawyer for former Proud Boys leader Henry "Enrique" Tarrio, who was jailed for 22 years for seditious conspiracy, said his client also expected to be released.

Government reform

Doge and Elon Musk

Trump has signed a directive creating the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) - a new advisory body on cutting government costs. It is expected to be led by Elon Musk - who Trump separately said would get an office for about 20 employees.

Freeze on federal hiring

Another order halts any new federal hiring - except within the US military and several other categories - until the Trump administration has full control over the government.

Federal employees returning to the office

Trump has also signed a memorandum mandating that federal workers must work in the office and are not allowed to work from home.

Censorship

Another directive orders the "restoration of freedom of speech and preventing government censorship". It directs the attorney general to investigate the activities of officials at certain agencies - such as the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Federal Trade Commission - during the Biden era.

Political prosecutions

Another executive order seeks to end the "weaponisation of government against political adversaries". It mandates a review of the work of various law enforcement and intelligence agencies under Biden to "identify any instances" of alleged weaponisation, and then recommend "appropriate remedial actions".
Reversing Biden policies

'American-First'

Trump has announced he is pausing foreign aid, outlining that he wants a review of foreign assistance programs. Karoline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, said this was part of a new "American-First" foreign policy.

Cuba

Trump wants to undo Biden's recent decision to remove Cuba from the US list of state sponsors of terrorism. He could also reinstate sanctions against Venezuela. Both countries were frequent targets of his ire during his first administration.

Regulatory freeze

Another order directs federal agencies to refrain from issuing any new regulations until the Trump administration has full control of the government.

Unvaccinated federal workers

As part of a directive reversing Biden-era policies, Trump revoked a mandate that federal workers must be vaccinated with the Covid vaccine. He has promised to reinstate the 8,000 military service members who were discharged due to the Pentagon's Covid vaccine mandate - with full backpay.
Economy

Tackling inflation

Trump has signed a directive asking every US federal department and agency to address the cost of living. The directive, which is not an executive order, asks agencies to look at lowering the costs of housing, healthcare and key household items, groceries and fuel.

It asks for a report in 30 days. It not clear how the Trump administration intends to lower these costs - and this is not detailed in the directive.
Renaming the Gulf of Mexico

'Gulf of America' and Alaska's Mount Denali

Trump has directed the secretary of the interior to change the name of the Gulf of Mexico to the "Gulf of America".

The same order also directs the secretary to rename Alaska's Mount Denali to Mount McKinley - in honour of America's 25th president whose tariff policies Trump admires. President Barack Obama changed the name from McKinley to Denali to reflect what North America's highest peak was called by native tribes.

What Trump has not acted on - yet

Tariffs

After bracing for weeks for a trade war with the US, Canada has - for now - evaded import taxes that Donald Trump had threatened to impose on the country as soon as he takes office.

But Trump said on Monday the tariffs on Canada and Mexico could come on 1 February, and ordered federal officials to review US trade relationships for unfair practices, including those with Canada, Mexico and China.

Secret documents

At a rally on Sunday, Trump said he would release classified documents related to the assassination of President John F Kennedy in 1963, a subject of countless conspiracy theories, as well as the 1968 killings of Senator Robert Kennedy and civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.

Crypto pile

Trump has championed cryptocurrency, and his election saw the value of Bitcoin increase by 30%. Some believe Trump will move quickly to create a federal "Bitcoin stockpile" - a strategic reserve similar to the US's stockpile of gold and oil - that he has said would serve as a "permanent national asset to benefit all Americans".

Coast Guard Commandant terminated over border lapses, recruitment, DEI focus: official
[FoxNews] Shot across the DEI bow
Senior DHS official confirms to Fox News Digital Coast Guard Adm. Linda Fagan has been relieved of her post

The Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard has been terminated over concerns about the border, recruitment and an "erosion of trust," a senior DHS official confirmed to Fox News.

Adm. Linda Lee Fagan, 61, has been terminated by the Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Benjamine Huffman, the official said.

Fagan has demonstrated leadership deficiencies, operational failures and an inability to advance the strategic objectives of the Coast Guard.
Ouch. That’s the complete list, except for being caught with a live girl or a dead boy.
These include the failure to address border security threats, insufficient leadership in recruitment and retention, mismanagement in acquiring key acquisitions such as icebreakers and helicopters, excessive focus on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and an "erosion of trust" over the mishandling and cover-up of Operation Fouled Anchor, which was the Coast Guard's internal investigation into sexual assault cases at the Coast Guard Academy.

Fagan is accused of ineffective deployment of Coast Guard assets to support national border security, including in intercepting fentanyl and other illicit substances. She also had insufficient coordination with DHS to prioritize operations along maritime borders.

The DHS official said Fagan had significant failures in recruiting personnel, which worsened issues related to operational readiness. The official added that the lack of innovative strategies to address retention struggles in critical specialties weakened workforce sustainability.

Under her leadership, there were also persistent delays and cost overruns in acquiring essential platforms, including icebreakers and helicopters, that the official said undermined Coast Guard capabilities in the Arctic and other strategic regions. The official further cited inadequate accountability for acquisition failures that were highlighted during President Trump's first administration.

Fagan also made DEI policies a priority, including at the Coast Guard Academy, which diverted resources and focus from operational essentials.

In Operation Fouled Anchor, the cover-up of sexual assaults at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy "deeply eroded trust" in the Coast Guard among the American public, the U.S. Congress and the military. The Coast Guard did not disclose the existence of Operation Fouled Anchor until 2023, despite its existence from 2014 to 2019.

Fagan was grilled by senators over the summer when she testified at a hearing on Capitol Hill, where she was questioned for not holding anyone accountable for the cover-up and withholding additional documents congressional lawmakers requested about the mishandling of the problem at the service’s academy.

The official said the failure to sufficiently address the systemic issues revealed by the investigation has highlighted a "leadership culture" unwilling to ensure accountability and transparency in protecting service members.

Former Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards Has Died
[DW] Cecile Richards, the former president of abortion giant Planned Parenthood, has died at age 67.

Richards announced in 2024 that she was battling glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

"This morning our beloved Cecile passed away at home, surrounded by her family and her ever-loyal dog, Ollie," Richards’ family said in a statement released on Monday, according to NBC News. "Our hearts are broken today but no words can do justice to the joy she brought to our lives."

"We are grateful to the doctors and health care workers who provided her excellent care and the friends, family, and well-wishers who have been by her side during this challenging time," the family added.

Richards, who led Planned Parenthood from 2006 to 2018, oversaw the killing of nearly four million unborn babies, according to the non-profit Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.

In November, pro-life leader Lila Rose said she was praying for Richards’ conversion.
Pray for her soul. She needs it.

Massachusetts must pay feds $2.1B after mistakenly using pandemic funds to cover unemployment benefits
[FoxNews] 'It is incredibly frustrating that the prior administration allowed this to happen,' Gov. Maura Healey said

Massachusetts must pay the federal government $2.1 billion over the next 10 years to resolve a debt after the state under former GOP Gov. Charlie Baker's administration mistakenly used federal pandemic funds to cover unemployment benefits.
Mistakenly. Sure it was.
Current Gov. Maura Healey, a Democrat, and her deputies released details on Monday of a settlement they reached with the outgoing Biden administration last week in which the state will repay most of the money it owed because of the error, the State House News Service reported.

In 2023, Healey announced that her administration uncovered that the prior administration improperly used about $2.5 billion in federal pandemic relief funds to cover unemployment benefits that should have been funded by the state.

The total liability exceeded $3 billion, including fees and interest, according to Healey’s office. Negotiations with the U.S. Department of Labor dropped the total owed to $2.1 billion over the next decade.

"We were dismayed to uncover early on in our term that the previous administration misspent billions of dollars in federal relief funds and that our state was facing what could have been a more than $3 billion tab to pay it back," Healey said in a statement on Monday.

"For the past year and a half, we have engaged in extensive negotiations with the U.S. Department of Labor to minimize the impact on Massachusetts residents, businesses and our economy," she continued. "Today, we have reduced our potential liability by over $1 billion and negotiated a decade-long payment window to mitigate the impact."

The governor added that it is "incredibly frustrating that the prior administration allowed this to happen" but that the current administration is "going to use this as a moment to come together with the business and labor community to make meaningful reforms to the Unemployment Insurance system."

Payments will begin Dec. 1 and continue each year for the next decade.

The agreement states that principal payments must come from the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Trust Fund, which is funded by a tax on employers and is also used to cover benefits, according to the State House News Service. Interest payments will come from the state’s General Fund.

Healey’s office said businesses will not face higher rates on their unemployment insurance payments through at least the end of next year, at which point rates will depend on system reforms.

Ex-con decapitated man who impregnated his wife while he was in prison: cops
[NYPOST] An ex-con strangled and decapitated a man who impregnated his wife while he was locked up in prison, authorities say.

The victim's hands were chopped off, too — and one was later found by a 5-year-old boy in a mail box.

Anthony Newton, 45, is now charged in the gruesome murder of Ulisys ''Cesar'' Molina, whose burned, dismembered body was found in a vacant lot outside Las Vegas in 2017 after his family reported him missing, according to KLAS.

Newton, his brother-in-law and another woman allegedly lured Molina into the woman's apartment around Christmas 2016 and killed him over the affair, a Nevada judge heard in court last week.

''This relationship is known by people in Mr. Molina's family, and it's not exactly a secret,'' Newton's lawyer, Pam Weckerly, said.

In a bizarre, grisly twist, one of Molina's severed hands was found in a mailbox by a 5-year-old child almost two years later — although it's unclear how the hand ended up there or if the family who owned the mailbox is connected to Molina.

Trump DHS dissolves advisory boards after Biden ‘disinformation’ fiasco
[NYPOST] Donald Trump's acting Homeland Security chief has ordered the dismantling of all the department's advisory boards to guard against ''misuse of resources'' after the Biden administration's disastrous attempt to create a Big Brother-style ''Disinformation Governance Board,'' The Post has learned.

In a memo dispatched Monday evening, Benjamine Huffman mandated the ''termination of all current memberships on advisory committees with DHS, effective immediately.''

''Future committee activities will be focused solely on advancing our critical mission to protect the homeland and support DHS's strategic priorities,'' the memo went on.

Carrie Underwood triumphs at Trump inauguration after musical mishap
[FOX] Not only did Carrie Underwood display her musical chops to the world at the inauguration of President Donald Trump on Monday, but she also flaunted her professional prowess.

Tapped to perform "America the Beautiful" at the 60th Presidential Inauguration Day Ceremony, held this year inside the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol, Underwood was escorted inside and awaited her musical cue to begin singing in front of Trump, his family, distinguished politicians and other celebrities.

But no cue would come.

For a fleeting moment, an instrumental track played before cutting out. Underwood, positioned in front of former President Biden, quickly ascertained that something was awry, leaving her to improvise. Video circulating online shows the country star speaking with someone on the production team saying, "I can just sing it."

Great White North
Trump inaugurated; Progs rush northern border
[Reprinted from the Toronto Star] The flood of "Trump-fearing" American liberals/progressives sneaking across the border into Canada has intensified in the past week. The Republican presidential win is prompting an exodus among left-leaning Americans who fear they'll soon be required to hunt, pray, pay taxes, and live according to the Constitution. Canadian border residents say it's not uncommon to see dozens of sociology professors, global-warming activists, and "green" energy proponents crossing their fields at night.

"I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn," said southern Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield, whose acreage borders North Dakota. "He was cold, exhausted and hungry, and begged me for a latte and some free-range chicken. When I said I didn't have any, he left before I even got a chance to show him my screenplay, eh?"

In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but the liberals scaled them. He then installed loudspeakers that blared Rush Limbaugh reruns across the fields, but they just stuck their fingers in their ears and kept coming Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers who meet liberals just south of the border, pack them into electric cars, and drive them across the border, where they are simply left to fend for themselves after the battery dies. "A lot of these people are not prepared for our rugged conditions," an Alberta border patrolman said "I found one carload without a single bottle of Perrier water, or any gemelli with shrimp
and arugula. All they had was a nice little Napa Valley Cabernet and some kale chips. When liberals are caught, they're sent back across the border, often wailing that they fear persecution from Trump high hailers.

Rumors are circulating about plans being made to build re-education camps where liberals will be forced to drink domestic beer, study the Constitution, and find jobs that actually contribute to the economy.

In recent days, liberals have turned to ingenious ways of crossing the border. Some have been disguised as senior citizens taking a bus trip to buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half-dozen young vegans in blue-hair wig disguises, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and quizzing the supposed senior citizens about Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney to prove that they were alive in the '50s. "If they can't identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we become very suspicious about their age," an official said.

Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating an organic-broccoli shortage, are buying up all the Barbara Streisand CD's, and are overloading the internet while downloading jazzercise apps to their cell phones. "I really feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can't support them," an Ottawa resident said. "After all, how many art-history majors does one country need?"

17:45 The situation in the Velikaya Novoselka area as of 20.01.2025 –Warrior DV

Assault units of the "Vostok" group continue systematically penetrating the enemy's defenses in the settlement of Velikaya Novosyolka. As we wrote yesterday, the Far Eastern soldiers have driven out the enemy and consolidated their positions in the northeastern and southeastern parts of the city. We would like to immediately warn against incomprehensible hype and the spread of false information about the enemy abandoning Novosyolka. The settlement is doomed, but has not yet been surrendered by the enemy; heavy fighting continues.

Fearing reputational costs, the enemy command decided to evacuate units of the 1st Presidential Brigade of the NGU, which are in the garrison together with the 110th separate mechanized brigade. Due to limited logistical capabilities, the enemy is trying to evacuate the personnel of the elite formation by any means possible: rafts, rope crossings, attempts to ford the Mokrye Yaly. Thus, the regular infantry of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade is left alone with inevitable death (or surrender), effectively abandoned by its command.

IDF reservist killed, senior officer seriously hurt by roadside bomb in West Bank
[IsraelTimes] Sgt. First Class (res.) Eviatar Ben Yehuda, 31, killed in Palestinian town of Tamun during patrol; blast injures his battalion commander, 3 other soldiers

An Israeli reservist soldier was killed and four others were maimed, including a senior officer at death's door, when they were hit by a roadside kaboom in the West Bank overnight, the military announced on Monday morning.

The slain soldier was named by the Israel Defense Forces as Sgt. First Class (res.) Eviatar Ben Yehuda, 31, of the Ephraim Regional Brigade’s 8211th Reserve Battalion, from the southern town of Nitzan.

According to an initial IDF probe, the soldiers were in a David light armored vehicle part of a convoy during a patrol in the town of Tamun, in the northern West Bank, when a large bomb exploded.

The explosion killed Ben Yehuda, who was the driver, and seriously maimed his battalion commander, a reservist officer with the rank of lieutenant colonel, who was sitting next to him.

Three other soldiers in the back of the vehicle were also hurt and were listed in light and moderate condition.

In the past year, two soldiers and a police officer have been killed by roadside kabooms in the West Bank.

Armed groups in the West Bank frequently plant improvised bombs under roads to attack Israeli forces carrying out arrest raids. The military regularly rips up roads with armored bulldozers as a precautionary measure before entering with lighter-armed vehicles.

Violence in the West Bank has mounted since October 7, 2023, when Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
assaulted southern Israel, sparking war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
and unrest across the region. Since then, 46 people, including Israeli security personnel, have been killed in Paleostinian terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank, including some carried out by Israeli citizens.

Another seven members of the security forces were killed in festivities with terror operatives in the West Bank. Much of the violence has been concentrated near Nablus, Jenin and other Paleostinian cities in the northern West Bank.

According to the Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry, more than 858 West Bank Paleostinians have been killed since October 7, 2023. The IDF says the vast majority of them were button men killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops, or bandidos gunnies carrying out attacks.

During the same period, troops have arrested some 6,000 wanted Paleostinians across the West Bank, including more than 2,350 affiliated with Hamas.

Additionally, settler violence against Paleostinians has soared since the Hamas massacre, with security forces accused of turning a blind eye to the attacks.

have been sharing on social media a photo of today’s transfer of the three Israeli hostages from the terror group’s fighters to the Red Thingy, revealing that the crowd present was smaller than what may have appeared in Hamas’s footage of the event.

Those posting the zoomed-out photo are arguing that the terror group is far less popular in Gaza following 15 months of war sparked by its October 7, 2023, onslaught, which has left the coastal enclave and its population decimated.

Only several hundred Hamas members and supporters appear to have been present at the transfer.

Government Corruption
The Six Key People Who Covered Up Biden's Senility Have Been Unmasked
[PJMedia] For years, conservatives were calling out blatant issues with Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier...
's cognitive health and physical frailty. On Monday, our long national nightmare will end, and we will once again have someone physically and cognitively capable of running the country back in the White House. But that doesn’t mean we should forget the scandalous efforts by those around Biden to cover up his decline.

A new report from the New York Times

...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

not only goes into detail about how aides adjusted his schedule to ensure he was in good spirits, limited his exposure to negative news, and shielded him from public scrutiny, surrounding him to shield him from view, even modifying his use of Air Force One’s steps to avoid highlighting his physical challenges, but tells us who in the inner circle criminal masterminded the efforts to curate his public appearances, provide pre-scripted teleprompter responses for private events, and, of course, coordinate responses to negative media coverage.

The story highlighted Biden’s family’s and inner circle’s efforts to manage growing concerns about his age and health, even as they publicly downplayed them. According to interviews with over two dozen aides, allies, politicians, and donors, privately, his inner circle recognized his physical decline more than they admitted.

"Six key people protected the president," the New York Times revealed. "Jill Biden, the first lady, and Hunter Biden, his surviving son, fervently believed in his ability to win. Mr. Donilon and Steve Ricchetti, the counselor to Mr. Biden, knew when and how to deliver information, along with Annie Tomasini, the deputy chief of staff. She and Anthony Bernal, the first lady’s most senior aide, took tight control over the president’s public schedule."
Acts of omission and commission which are tantamount to treason. Some measure of accountability and cost should be levied against these SOB's.
It has long been obvious that Jill Biden was a key player in the unsuccessful cover-up of Biden’s cognitive decline, but now we have the names of those who clearly knew firsthand all was not well with Joe Biden. But let’s not pretend they are the only ones who are culpable in this scandal. The mainstream media could clearly see that Biden was not well and generally dismissed questions about his mental acuity as rightwing conspiracy theories or attributed his mental lapses to a stutter. Then there are the Democrat leaders who worked closely with him who no doubt saw the same problems these Sinister Six did as well and did nothing about it.
More importantly, it seems to me, is who gave the orders that went out over the president’s name? Because they knew exactly what they were doing, and knew he did not.

#1  Biden's impairment was plainly visible even in 2020.

This was gaslighting of the public, not a coverup.

#2  Hundreds of millions recognized the reality. Our socialist overlords successfully used Biden as a 'cover or action' for four long years, even up to his last 30 minutes in office.

#3  I didn't see Jill's name among those pardoned yesterday. If she was not pardoned, she should be investigated for elder abuse. For their own nefarious purposes, these people cynically used and abused an elderly man whose failing health and mental capacity made him vulnerable and susceptible to their lies. Surely that's a crime. It doesn't matter if he used to be as crooked as they are. Now he's a victim and they should be prosecuted for it.

#4  The idea that 6 people pulled this off is laughable. Everyone is DC and the media cooperated. Those 6 were ministerial at best and diaper change facilities on the bad days. We are supposed to believe that Hunter was engaged throughout the entirety of the 4 years and not just paying attention after Joe was being coupes out. Obama wasn’t coordinating this every morning? I don’t buy it.

#5  ^ Some call it a cabal. I call it a politburo. Maybe you could call it a committee made up of select globalist billionaires, politicians and generals calling the shots. Obama might be a member of this committee but I doubt if he is the chairman. More likely he's the front man, spokes hole or PR guy. The apparatchiks doing the day to day grunt work in the White House were no doubt aware of the politburo's existence but kept strictly away from it, except when Obama would relay orders to them. Jill certainly knew. She should go to jail.

'Legends of the Resistance': Whom Israel Gave to Hamas in Exchange for Hostages
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Leonid Tsukanov

[REGNUM] Hamas and Israel, after nearly 15 months of constant consultations, have reached a consensus on a hostage exchange. Following agreements reached earlier in the Qatari capital of Doha, both sides pledged to ensure the transfer of people on agreed lists and then move on to a more comprehensive settlement of the protracted conflict. However, the implementation of the agreements is still in question.

There are many in Israel who see their military-political defeat in a diplomatic victory and would not mind renegotiating the agreements already reached.

Tel Aviv agreed to hand over 1,890 Palestinian prisoners to its opponents in exchange for the release of 33 Israeli hostages. Thus, the “exchange rate” of prisoners was 87 to 1 in favor of Hamas, which caused a storm of jubilation among Palestinian factions and protests from the far-right forces in the Israeli parliament.

However, Israeli negotiators still managed to avoid a repeat of the infamous “Shalit deal” (2011), where the ratio was 1 to 1027 in favor of Palestine, and to get Hamas to include all living hostages in the exchange lists.

In addition, Tel Aviv decided to stretch out the hostage exchange process as long as possible, so as not to pander to Palestinian propaganda and not to fuel the belief in the “absolute triumph” of Hamas.

In the first round, 90 Palestinians were exchanged for three Israeli women.

The parties also chose Saturday as a permanent exchange day, agreeing to provide lists no less than a day before the chosen date.

As a result, by the end of the first stage of the deal (tentatively scheduled for March 5, 2025), Hamas and Tel Aviv expect to fully fulfill their obligations.

THE OLD GUARD
In the first exchange, Hamas released only civilians. An exchange of IDF prisoners is planned for the coming weeks.

However, many legendary and significant figures in the Palestinian movement were freed.

Thus, among others, veteran of the resistance and commander of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades (the military wing of Fatah) Zakaria al-Zubeidi was released. He played a leading role in the Second Intifada (2000-2005) and seriously strengthened the potential of the Brigades, and the commanders he trained, in particular Ibrahim al-Nabulsi, caused many problems for the Israeli army and intelligence services.

For the past five years, al-Zubeidi has been held under special conditions in Gilboa prison, which is eloquently called "Israeli Alcatraz." The name of the commander of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades was erased from the lists by Israeli negotiators until the very last moment.

Also released was the deputy head of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), Khalida Jarrar, a figure well known not only in the Middle East. In the past, she was the official representative of Palestine to the Council of Europe and a fighter for the rights of prisoners. Jarrar, who had been held in solitary confinement for the past year and a half (something that far more seasoned field commanders were not “honored” with), became a symbol of oppression not only for the PFLP, but also for other Palestinian factions.

However, the high-profile names listed are only a small part of the extensive exchange list. And it may include much more odious figures.

Thus, back in May 2024, Arab media wrote that Hamas negotiators were fighting for the release of Marwan Barghouti, the most popular anti-Israeli politician and the founder of the youth militant wing of Fatah (the Tanzim movement).

Barghouti's release could well challenge the political monopoly of current Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas, subsequently triggering a drift in Fatah from being a relatively neutral faction towards Israel towards direct confrontation and the formation of a political coalition with Hamas.

Thus, living symbols of resistance, belonging to different groups and movements, have already found themselves at liberty. However, the "common denominator" for them was Hamas, which played a decisive role in their release from captivity. This significantly raises the prestige of the movement and its "political weight" in Palestine, especially in conjunction with the laurels of "the winner of the IDF."

This fact will probably manifest itself in the medium term, setting a trend for all Palestinian-Israeli relations.

THE LINE OF SCHISM
As noted above, the Israeli government's decision to support the deal with Hamas provoked an explosion of indignation among the conservative wing.

Many felt that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had “publicly capitulated” to the Palestinian forces (and by extension to Iran, which is celebrating the Palestinian victory as its own).

The leader of the far-right party "Jewish Power", Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir, who throughout the conflict criticized Netanyahu for "indecisive and half-hearted measures" against Hamas, resigned. Along with him, fellow party members - Minister of Heritage Amichai Eliyahu and Minister of Negev, Galilee and National Resilience Yitzhak Wasserlauf - also left their posts in the government. "Jewish Power" distanced itself from the ruling coalition.

Another opponent of the Hamas deal, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, also publicly criticized Netanyahu for his cowardice. And, although he did not resign like other "hawks", he demonstratively voted against the Hamas deal at a Knesset session. However, Smotrich quickly realized that he would not be able to gather a protest electorate around himself alone, especially after his recent quarrel with Ben-Gvir over disagreements on judicial reform, and therefore hastened to welcome the return of his fellow citizens from captivity.

After distancing Ben-Gvir's supporters, Netanyahu's government lost at least six votes in the Knesset, leaving the gap with the opposition at a minimum (62 votes to 52). And the deepening conflict with Smotrich threatens the loss of at least seven more mandates and, as a result, the loss of control over parliament (especially if the right-wing parties decide to officially join the opposition bloc).

In this case, the early elections that Netanyahu has so carefully avoided could become a reality. This means that Israeli hawks have a convenient pretext to force the prime minister to torpedo the deal with Hamas immediately after the last Israeli hostage leaves the enclave.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
A vile war and a hunt for civilians. The Ukrainian Armed Forces mine everything they can get their hands on
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Olga Borisova

[REGNUM] Any unattended object lying on the ground can pose a mortal threat - in Donbass they have known about this for more than ten years. This rule in the region, unfortunately, is written in blood. But the insidious and vile enemy continues to invent new ways to disguise "booby traps" and explosive devices that pose a danger to both the military and the civilian population.

Another “know-how” was discovered by fighters in the Orekhovo direction in mid-January: the enemy dropped homemade explosive devices disguised as vapes (devices for “vaping”, a type of electronic cigarette) from a UAV.

"When such objects are found, it is naturally forbidden to touch them. Even minimal contact can lead to serious consequences. The Ukrainian Armed Forces often disguise explosives as civilian objects: in the DPR - as children's toys, in Zaporozhye - as vapes," Alexander Mineev, a journalist for the Bloknot Zaporozhye publication, tells Regnum .

According to him, the discarded vapes were discovered in time - no one was hurt.

In general, this enemy technology is not new: barely noticeable but deadly anti-personnel mines - "petals" - were found in 2023 and 2024 even in different areas of Moscow and other cities far from the front line.

"Petals", also known as PFM-1, were recognized as inhumane weapons and banned by the Ottawa Convention in 1999. In 2015, Ukraine, which has one of the largest arsenals in Europe, signed an agreement to destroy such mines. But in fact, no one has eliminated them: the Armed Forces of Ukraine regularly throw them into the Donbass, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.

There are constant reports of camouflaged mines of various types. And they are hidden wherever they can: the military told journalists about broken tree branches, logs, cans of condensed milk and boxes of chocolates filled with explosives. In March 2022, the RT TV channel published a commentary by Russian explosive engineers who said that during the retreat, the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers mined children's swings.

"AN ATTRACTIVE ITEM IN A PROMINENT PLACE"
Disguised mines are also being delivered to the frontline fighters along with humanitarian aid. In January, one of the Telegram channels published a photo of trench candles that turned out to contain explosives. It is reported that such a candle becomes a grenade that a person can detonate themselves.

Moreover, even trusted volunteers collecting humanitarian aid may not know about such "surprises". The author of the posts is called upon: if you did not make the candles yourself, they must be checked before sending them to the front.

Copters left at former Ukrainian positions are no less dangerous - Russian military personnel find not only explosives in them, but also beacons that can be used to track their movements and launch a missile strike on their location.

In addition to our military, the enemy continues to hunt civilians.

In mid-October in Stakhanov (LPR), a teenager picked up a mined toy - a yellow duck, left under a bench near the Pushkin monument. The toy exploded, the boy received serious injuries: shrapnel wound to the eye, damage to the soft tissues of the face and hand. The boy was taken to one of the republic's hospitals in a moderate condition.

Mine warfare is always sneaky: something bright and eye-catching, like a yellow duck, is chosen as bait. The child picks up this "something".

And to attract adults, gadgets are often used: phones, tablets, laptops and other devices.

Even before the SVO, in one of the Donetsk cafes, a vigilant waiter with combat experience noticed that a young man, when leaving, left a tablet on the table.

The situation seemed strange to the café worker: the entire time he spent in the establishment, the young man worked on his laptop, and then he took out and left his tablet on the table.

The waiter, without touching the device, called specialists - they found plastic explosives in the gadget. Any careless touch to the tablet would have cost the cafe visitor his life. Now the demined device is stored in the Victory Museum on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow.

It is noteworthy that even in the textbook of the L. M. Kaganovich Military Transport Academy, published in Leningrad in 1940, it was written that the White Finns used traps "to confuse the enemy and instill in them a sense of uncertainty," but there were also victims among the civilian population. And in Soviet manuals of the post-war period, a list of objects was published that, theoretically, could be used as a casing for explosives: a rat carcass (the British Special Operations Directorate was the first to use "exploding rats" in 1941), a piece of coal for heating a stove, a railway oiler...

THEY TAKE IT OUT ON THE WEAK AND DEFENSELESS
In the statute of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, a separate section is devoted to those who violate the laws or customs of war.

The first point in the document is the use of weapons designed to cause unnecessary suffering. Camouflaged mines are a perfect example of a weapon that causes unnecessary suffering. Lying unnoticed and waiting for its victim.

It would seem completely pointless. Why terrorize peaceful people? What military sense is there in blinding a child who picked up a toy filled with explosives? There is no sense, but the enemy who scatters mines does not think about it. When he loses on the battlefield, he takes it out on people, bringing pain and suffering to those he can reach.

To take revenge on the weak, to kill the defenseless - this is what cowards and scoundrels do. And the only way to protect yourself from a treacherous and cowardly enemy is to follow basic, but life-saving rules of conduct. And also be sure to tell your loved ones and friends about them, especially children and the elderly.

The rules are really simple: never pick anything up from the ground, don't pick up anything lying around - children's toys, smartphones, anything. If you go into the forest, don't step where you can't see. If you notice something suspicious, report it to the police immediately.

And the main thing is to always remain vigilant and remember that the enemy hunt never stops for a minute.

Trump Pardons 1,500 J6'ers in Executive Order, and much more
[Rumble]

[X] The same information for those who prefer to read rather than watch and listen:
…His order directs the Bureau of Prisons to release everyone tonight.

Courtesy of Skidmark:
Trump pardons ALL Jan 6 rioters and declares Mexican drug cartels 'terrorists' in first White House press conference
I don't know if anybody watched ABC News Live this afternoon, but if you did I hope you saw what I saw.

President Trump was reading and signing Executive Orders, listening to a reporter's question, context switching to conversationally answer another question and directing the stage staff, "... give me another one". Simultaneously. In realtime. Establishing eye contact with everyone.

We haven't seen that in a looong time. If ever.

A prime example of the busy executive doing all the things at once. Multitasking, they call it.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Donald Trump spent his first session back in the Oval Office signing executive orders to pardon all January 6 defendants and declare dangerous Mexican drug cartels as 'terrorists' while finding a letter written to him by Joe Biden.

Trump said he was pardoning about 1,500 defendants and issuing six commutations. He also directed the attorney general to seek dismissal of about 450 pending criminal cases against Jan. 6 defendants.

The pardons fulfill Trump's promise to release supporters who tried to help him overturn his election defeat four years ago.

'These are the hostages,' he said while signing the paperwork in the Oval Office.

After hours spent celebrating his new administration, Trump invited the press to his first Oval Office appearance.

Trump found a letter from Biden in the Resolute desk, but only after a journalist reminded him to look for it.

While signing a series of executive orders, a reporter asked Trump if he'd received a letter. Trump said he didn't know and checked the desk drawers, holding up the letter for the cameras.

'Maybe we should all read it together,' Trump said before setting it aside. He said he'll read it himself before sharing it publicly.

He signed an initial flurry of executive orders at Capital One Arena in downtown Washington, where thousands of his supporters gathered to celebrate an inaugural parade that was moved indoors due to the cold.

The president signed several other orders, including one overhauling the refugee admission program to better align with American principles and interests and another declaring a 'national emergency' at the U.S.-Mexico border, while designating drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

Trump said he favored legal immigration as he signed orders declaring a national emergency on the U.S.-Mexico border, suspending refugee resettlement and ending automatic citizenship for anyone born in the U.S.

He acknowledged an imminent legal challenge to overturning birthright citizenship, which has been enshrined in the U.S. Constitution since 1868.

Trump said automatic citizenship was 'just ridiculous' and that he believes he was on 'good (legal) ground' to change it.

'That's a big one,' he bantered with reporters while signing an order declaring the border emergency.

Trump said immigrant labor was needed for investment that he anticipates will accompany higher tariffs.

Trump has also signed an executive order beginning the process of withdrawing the U.S. from the World Health Organization.

It was the second time in less than five years that he's ordered the country to withdraw from the organization, despite it being a move many scientists fear could roll back decades-long gains made in fighting infectious diseases like AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis.

Experts also warn it could weaken the world's defenses against dangerous new outbreaks capable of triggering pandemics.

Trump continued to riff and answer questions from reporters in the Oval Office as he signs another round of executive action.

The president said he could place 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico starting Feb. 1. He declined to give a date on China tariffs.

Trump has talked extensively about his tariff plans and his affection for the levies on imported goods during his multiple public remarks today.

He then revoked protections for transgender troops set by Biden.

The number of transgender troops known to be serving is possibly from around 9,000 to potentially as many as 14,000.

The Department of Defense has referred queries on the number of transgender troops to the individual services, and because of the different ways transgender troops can identify and whether or not they have received medical procedures, there is no one database that tracks them.

As he sat down to sign executive orders, Trump was asked which former president he would call for advice.

He responded that Bill Clinton was a 'very interesting politician' and said he had a 'great political sense.'

Trump said Clinton was 'disrespected' and 'not used properly.'

Trump was also asked about his friendly chat with former President Barack Obama during former President Jimmy Carter's state funeral.

'We were having some crazy conversations,' he said.

Trump discussed the war between Russia and Ukraine and says he'll talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin soon.

Earlier, Trump turned his rally at a downtown Washington arena into a signing ceremony as he grabbed his pen and issued multiple executive actions to institute major policy changes.

Trump officially halted over 78 Biden-era executive orders, announced a regulatory freeze preventing bureaucrats from issuing regulations until the Trump administration has full control of the government and a freeze on all federal hiring except for military and a few other essential areas.

He also ordered a requirement that federal workers return to full-time in-person work, a directive to every department and agency to address the cost of living crisis, and announced withdrawal from the Paris climate treaty.

Trump also signed a government order restoring freedom of speech and preventing censorship of free speech and one ending the 'weaponization of government against the political adversaries of the previous administration'

Some of the orders he signed first including a Biden border bill, a regulatory freeze and a freeze on federal hiring.

On his first day, Trump rescinded 78 orders and actions signed by Biden. Among Trump's rescissions was a Biden order that canceled some of the orders signed by Trump during his first term.

As the American Bar Association notes, the orders do not require congressional approval and can't be directly overturned by lawmakers. Still, Congress could block an order from being fulfilled by removing funding or creating other hurdles.

Trump orders 90-day pause in foreign development assistance, likely impacting Palestinians
[IsraelTimes] US President Donald Trump has ordered a 90-day pause in foreign development assistance pending assessments of efficiencies and consistency with his foreign policy.

“All department and agency heads with responsibility for United States foreign development assistance programs shall immediately pause new obligations and disbursements of development assistance funds,” reads the executive order signed by Trump just hours after he took office for a second term.

It is not immediately clear how broad the order is and what programs, countries, non-governmental organizations and international organizations would be affected by the move. It is also unclear what funding could be cut given the US Congress sets the federal US government budget.

The move would likely impact US aid to the Palestinians, which was cut by Trump during his first term. The executive order echoes a return to the approach Trump took during his first term in office between 2017 and 2021.

Another Trump order targets foreign nationals who ‘support designated terrorists’
[IsraelTimes] An executive order signed by US President Donald Trump appears to target, among others, foreign nationals participating in anti-Israel protests that have swept throughout the country since Hamas’s October 7 onslaught. The Executive Order Protecting the United States from Foreign Terrorists and Other National Security and Public Threats states that the government must be “vigilant” in issuing visas to foreign nationals and ensure that those approved “do not intend to harm Americans or our national interests.”

The order requires the US government to ensure that foreign nationals “not bear hostile attitudes toward its citizens, culture, government, institutions, or founding principles, and do not advocate for, aid, or support designated foreign terrorists and other threats to our national security.”

Trump campaigned on cracking down on the anti-Israel protests, particularly those on college campuses, but it is not yet clear how exactly he’ll go about doing it, given free speech laws in the US.

Hamas security forces move to swiftly reassert control over Gaza during ceasefire

[IsraelTimes] Hamas police and security forces have been operating in Gaza today, the second day of a ceasefire-hostage deal with Israel in the war-battered territory, AFP journalists note.

Hamas’s deputy interior minister for the territory, Mahmud Abu Watfah, inspected armed police, some in fatigues and others dressed in black, before they patrolled the bombed-out streets of Gaza City.

“We care about the comfort and protection of those who sacrificed with the resistance and paid a heavy price for this bloody war,” Abu Watfah says.

He says they also want “to control the situation on the ground in case of any chaos. This was achieved from the first hour of the deployment of the ministry of interior (forces) and the security forces.”

First NATO warships arrive off Estonian coast to protect cables
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The first three warships of the NATO flotilla, which are tasked with protecting underwater cables in the Baltic Sea, have arrived off the coast of Estonia. This was reported by The Guardian.

"The group will grow in the near future, other ships will join us, so that eventually we will be about six or seven ships," the Belgian task force leader Eric Cox told reporters on January 19.

He said the alliance's flotilla would ensure that no one could damage the critical underwater infrastructure. The ships would guard the area as part of the "Baltic Sentinel" mission.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on January 13, an underwater cable connecting Sweden, Lithuania, Germany and Finland was damaged in the Baltic Sea. During the investigation, a version was put forward that this happened due to deliberate actions of the crew of a Chinese vessel that had previously been anchored in that area. It was also stated that the captain of the ship could allegedly have been recruited by Russian special services.

The Washington Post reported on January 19 that US and European intelligence agencies have found no evidence of Russia's involvement in damaging underwater cables in the Baltic Sea. In addition, the participants in the investigation are leaning toward the version of accidental damage to the infrastructure.

Military expert, retired colonel Anatoly Matviychuk, in an interview with the Regnum news agency, said that the "Baltic Sentinel" program was launched to create obstacles for the Russian merchant fleet and block the sea route to the Kaliningrad region. These actions by the West will not go unanswered by the Russian side, he emphasized.

GOP Demands Investigation into Biden's CDC over Taxpayer Funding of 21 Abortions Overseas
[Breitbart] Republican lawmakers are demanding an investigation into Biden’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for allegedly illegally using U.S. taxpayer dollars to pay for at least 21 abortions in Mozambique through PEPFAR (the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief).
AIDS moved from emergency to chronic problem decades ago.
“Frankly, it’s not a surprise to find that they are performing abortion with U.S. taxpayer dollars,” said Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), who is chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Africa and Global Health Security and Diplomacy Bureau. “Their denials over the years have rung hollow in the face of their aggressive promotion of abortion and collaboration with some of the largest international abortion providers.”

“The CDC’s actions are a direct violation of both the letter and spirit of the law. It is unacceptable for our government to use PEPFAR’s taxpayer dollars to promote or provide abortion, especially in a program meant to save lives from HIV/AIDS,” Smith added.

Sen. Jim Risch (R-ID), chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, confirmed on Thursday that the CDC recently disclosed that PEPFAR funds were used to pay health workers who performed at least 21 abortions and accused the CDC of violating the Helms Amendment, a policy which prohibits the use of U.S. foreign aid to pay for abortions abroad.

“It is disgusting that the Biden Administration has allowed U.S. taxpayer dollars to be used to perform abortions overseas. This is not only illegal – it cuts against deeply held American values,” Risch said in a statement. “The CDC must be investigated for its misuse of PEPFAR funds, and those who have violated long-standing U.S. laws that protect life must be held accountable. This violation means that the future of the PEPFAR program is certainly in jeopardy. I will not support one dollar of American money going towards abortion anywhere in the world, and I will do all I can to ensure this never happens again.”

“For 20 years, PEPFAR has been a global health issue with deep bipartisan agreement and respect for life, but the actions of the CDC have polarized and destroyed this bipartisan foundation. Whether CDC staff were being overly zealous, stupid, evil, or inept, they have violated the law and done a disservice to the country and those suffering from AIDS worldwide,” he added.

PEPFAR was created in 2003 under President George W. Bush has “invested over $100 billion in the global HIV/AIDS response, saving 25 million lives, preventing millions of HIV infections, and supporting several countries to achieve HIV epidemic control…,” according to the State Department.

While abortion is legal in Mozambique, a review of service providers in the country who receive PEPFAR funding revealed that four nurses had performed at least 21 abortions since January 2021, Reuters reported, citing three U.S. officials who briefed members of Congress this week.

Officials alleged that this is the first time they have discovered PEPFAR-funded providers performing abortions in the program’s history.

“That’s why we wanted to notify Congress right away,” said one of the officials, who is involved in administering PEPFAR at the State Department. “It also is an important indication that the compliance measures we have in place have been effective, but could be further strengthened.”

A State Department official who was not authorized to speak publicly allegedly told Politico that the CDC worked with the Mozambique Ministry of Health to investigate the abortions and see if there had been a violation of the law.

The investigation revealed that four nurses operating in a small province of the country allegedly were unaware that they were not allowed to perform abortions while receiving PEPFAR funding, the official said.

A CDC spokesperson told the outlet the Mozambique government refunded the money, $4,100, with the spokesperson noting that the agency spends $189 million in PEPFAR funds in Mozambique.

“CDC identified the error, took immediate action, has a plan in place to prevent it from happening again and briefed relevant committees,” the CDC spokesperson said.

The State Department told the outlet that PEPFAR will begin requiring every service provider to state annually that they have received training and understand the rules around receiving PEPFAR funding.

Russian Federation Council called Trump's words about two genders a 'monstrous blow to the EU'
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

The Russian Federation Council is analogous to a senate, or an upper house legislative body.

[Regnum] US President Donald Trump dealt a "monstrous blow" to the values of the European Union elite with his inauguration speech. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Russian Federation Council Commission on Information Policy, Alexei Pushkov.

"A monstrous blow to the entire social doctrine and "values" of the ruling European liberal elite: from now on, only two genders will be recognized in the US - male and female! And this is in the "citadel of liberal democracy", which the ruling elites in Europe have always looked at with bated breath! Euroliberals are shocked and horrified. Trump has effectively blown up the system of "common values" that united the US and the EU. He is also declaring war on the liberal censorship that reigns in the British, French, German media and is supported by the authorities of these countries," the senator expressed his point of view on the Telegram channel.

According to Pushkov, the men in the hall during Trump's inauguration ceremony "warmly and standing" applauded the president's words about recognizing only two sexes - male and female. The senator also believes that Trump's statement gives European liberals and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen "bad feelings."

As reported by the Regnum news agency, Trump's list of priorities, titled "America First," published by the White House on January 20, notes that the new president's administration is going to "restore American values" by recognizing only two genders - male and female. In addition, Trump is going to protect women from radical gender ideology.

Trump also promised in December that under his rule there would be only two genders in the United States. He noted that this sounds simple.

In November, The Times reported that after the inauguration of the new president, all transgender people (the international LGBT public movement is recognized as extremist and banned in Russia) will be discharged from the American army for medical reasons. In total, about 15 thousand servicemen are planned to be dismissed.

Federation Council calls publication of Kennedy assassination documents a blow to the US

The publication of classified documents on the assassination of US President John Kennedy in November 1963 and other similar documents that are of great public interest will be a blow to the American "deep state." This was stated on January 20 by the head of the Russian Federation Council Commission on Information Policy, Alexei Pushkov.

The politician noted that US President-elect Donald Trump, with his promise to release classified documents on the assassination of Kennedy, his brother, 1968 presidential candidate Robert Kennedy, and African-American civil rights activist Martin Luther King, as well as other secret dossiers, has effectively declared an information and political revolution.

According to Pushkov, the main ones of these secret documents will be those concerning the real history of the explosion of the Twin Towers in New York on September 11, 2001.

“The publication of these dossiers, if it happens, will in itself be a powerful blow to the ‘deep state’ in the United States and could change the way tens of millions of Americans view their own country,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, in August 2024, Trump promised to create an independent commission to investigate the assassinations if he wins the presidential election. According to him, among other things, such a commission would publish documents on Kennedy's assassination in 1963 that are still classified.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy was the 35th President of the United States and was fatally shot by a sniper rifle on November 22, 1963, while campaigning in Dallas. He later died at Parkland Hospital. The Warren Commission named former U.S. Marine Lee Harvey Oswald as Kennedy's killer.

Government Corruption
The last act of corruption by Biden out the door is hidden in the phrase "staff"
[CTH] This is so far beyond corrupt, the light from where corruption emanates could not catch this level of corruption for a year.

Let us be clear. Joe Biden didn’t actually pardon anyone. Biden wouldn’t know who, how, or what a preemptive pardon actually is.

Nope, the non-pretending version of what just happened is: the people who control Joe Biden, just used the tool he represents to pardon themselves.

No one has picked up on this yet, but the people in control of the pardoning process Joe Biden represents, just pardoned themselves; including Mary McCord. Notice the wording (emphasis mine):

WHITE HOUSE – […] “some have even been threatened with criminal prosecutions, including General Mark A. Milley, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, and the members and staff of the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol.”

[…] That is why I am exercising my authority under the Constitution to pardon General Mark A. Milley, Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the Members of Congress and staff who served on the Select Committee, and the U.S. Capitol and D.C. Metropolitan police officers who testified before the Select Committee. {SOURCE}

Mary McCord was a lead staffer on the J6 Committee. REMINDER: November 3, 2021 – In Washington DC – “Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) and the House Jan. 6 Select Committee has tapped Mary McCord, who once ran the Justice Department’s National Security Division, for representation in its fight to obtain former President Donald Trump’s White House records. (source)

General Mark Milley, Liz Cheney and Anthony Fauci are the shiny ‘look over there’ thing. Yes, Milley broke the chain of command and is guilty of usurpation of government. Yes, Liz Cheney conducted an unlawful and manipulative operation using the J6 committee as a vehicle against Donald Trump. Yes, Anthony Fauci lied to congress about his involvement in the creation of the SARS-CoV-2 bioweapon program. Yes to all of it…. But it’s the Lawfare operatives inside the machinery that are being overlooked in this “and staff” preemptive pardon.

To give you an idea of the scope of influence of Mary McCord as a key functionary, consider what we can document.

♦ McCord submitted the fraudulent FISA application to spy on Trump campaign.

♦ McCord created the “Logan Act” claim used against Michael Flynn and then went with Sally Yates to confront the White House.

♦ McCord then left the DOJ and went to work for Adam Schiff and Jerry Nadler on Impeachment Committee.

♦ McCord organized the CIA rule changes with Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson.

♦ McCord led and organized the impeachment effort, in the background, using the evidence she helped create.

♦ McCord joined the FISA Court to protect against DOJ IG Michael Horowitz newly gained NSD oversight and FISA review.

♦ McCord joined the J6 Committee helping to create all the lawfare angles they deployed.

♦ McCord then coordinated with DA Fani Willis in Georgia.

♦ McCord was working with Special Counsel Jack Smith to prosecute Trump.

♦ McCord is now coordinating a Lawfare attack process against Donald Trump in term #2

♦ McCord just testified that AG Pam Bondi must recuse herself from investigating McCord.

♦ Joe Biden just pardoned Mary McCord.

#2  These Biden Pardons are nothing more than an illegal Regime/Coup granting itself immunity for its crimes, even murder.

All of this is on the hands of BOTH political parties, for failing to invoke the 25th Amendment. Hell's bells, even the DOJ said so, when Biden was found to have TS classified docs left in a family house, Hunter rented to CCP members.

Besides, Pardons should be limited to persons convicted of a crime. NOT a blanket immunity of escape for those that knowingly abused their political or family positions to violate the law and civil rights of people.

Britain
UK police question Labour ex-chief Corbyn over anti-Israel march; 77 arrested, 9 charged
[IsraelTimes] Lawmaker questioned under caution after protesters allegedly breached conditions set by police aimed at keeping protest away from synagogue; Corbyn’s brother among those charged

Former leader of Britannia’s Labour party Jeremy Corbyn was questioned under caution by police on Sunday over his participation in an anti-Israel, pro-Paleostinian rally the previous day that developed into a clash with police.

Also questioned was former senior Labour party member John McDonnell, who, like Corbyn, is now an independent politician in the House of Commons.

Both men voluntarily agreed to be questioned, the BBC reported.

Officers charged nine people with public order offenses after dozens were arrested at the protest in the British capital, the London Metropolitan Police said Sunday.

More than 70 people were arrested at Saturday’s march after what police called a "coordinated effort to breach" protest conditions, including the perimeter of the rally which was meant to be static.

Among those charged was Corbyn’s brother Piers Corbyn.

The march, organized by the Paleostine Solidarity Campaign, had initially planned to gather around the corner from the Central Synagogue, an Orthodox congregation founded more than 150 years ago.

From there it was to march towards Whitehall, the British government district. Police refused to permit that plan and instead approved only a static demonstration at another location.

Instead of remaining in place at Portland Place, near the headquarters of the BBC, some demonstrators broke through a police line and marched to Trafalgar Square, the Met said in a post to social media platform X.

Corbyn, responding to the police statement, said it was "not an accurate description of events at all."

He claimed that, along with other speakers, he had coordinated with police to move to Trafalgar Square "to lay flowers in memory of children in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
who had been killed."

"This was facilitated by the police. We did not force our way through," Corbyn wrote.

Protest organizers have denied an "organized" breach of conditions and accused officers of heavy-handedness in their policing of the demonstration.
So long as it was spontaneous, that makes it ok to break the rules they agreed to? A novel legal theory.
Of the 77 arrested, 25 have been released on bail while 48 remain in jug. Those charged are due to appear at London’s Westminster Magistrates Court "in the coming days," police said.

"Yesterday we saw a deliberate effort, including by protest organizers, to breach conditions," said police commander Adam Slonecki on Sunday.

"We will continue to work through CCTV footage, videos from social media and our body worn cameras so we can make further arrests and bring forward charges where we identify criminality."

Among those charged was Christopher Nineham, 62, the vice chair of the Stop the War Coalition (SWC),
…formed in London days after 9/11 by a coalition of Labour Party, socialist, and communist activists — another tentacle of the anarcho-communist syndicalist Black Bloc octopus — in an attempt to stop the American response, and then to stop the wider War on Terror, and then naturally self-defense by the Jewish state. It is arguably a militant arm of the Labour Party…
one of the organizers of the demonstration. Protest organizers accused the police of arresting Nineham “violent mostly peacefully and for no apparent reason" in a statement on X.

"At no stage was there an organized breach of the conditions imposed by the police," the organizers said, calling the arrests a "direct assault on freedom of assembly and democracy."

The Campaign Against Antisemitism said the rally and scuffles with police were "a dark day for London."

"Not only did we see the usual antisemitic bile and open support for Jew-hating terrorist organizations to which our nation’s capital has become accustomed, but snuffies repeatedly breached the modest restrictions imposed by the police on today’s protest," it said in a post to X.
It’s the left wing. Of coursethey hate Jews. Jeremy Corbyn was expelled from the Labour Party for being too blatant about it.
"For over a year we have called for these marches to be banned; we reiterated that call yesterday when it was clear that the police would not be able to control the situation," the watchdog said.
And for a year the London authorities coddled the marchers because they, too, hate Israel and Jews.
Leading up to the march, dozens of British politicians, including Jewish officials, wrote a letter to police protesting the route of the rally and saying frequent pro-Paleostinian marches on Saturdays interfered with Jewish religious practice.

Nine days ahead of the march, police issued a statement saying it would use its powers to "prevent the Paleostine Solidarity Campaign forming up in the vicinity of a synagogue ahead of its planned protest." The statement said the decision had been made prior to the politicians’ letter.

But the Paleostine Solidarity Campaign said in its own statement that it rejected the police order, and that it had agreed on the route with the police in November.

The group said the synagogue itself was not on the route of the march and pointed to "thousands" of Jewish participants in its rallies as a sign that they aren’t antisemitic. It said discussions with the police remain ongoing.

On Sunday a ceasefire that had been announced days earlier came into effect after 15 months of war that began when the Paleostinian terror group Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
led thousands of murderous Moslems in a devastating attack on Israel in which they killed some 1,200 people and took 251 hostages.

In January this year, Corbyn joined a South African delegation for hearings at the International Court of Justice, where the country accused Israel of committing genocide against Paleostinians in the war against Hamas in Gaza. The veteran left-winger, who led the main opposition Labour Party into the last election in 2019, but stepped down as leader after overseeing its worst results in decades, has been sitting as an independent MP since 2020.

The party suspended him after he refused to fully accept the findings of a rights watchdog’s probe into claims that antisemitism became rampant within Labour’s ranks under his leadership. The Equality and Human Rights Commission ruled the party broke equality law when Corbyn was in charge.

Government Corruption
Vindman Anger At Biden Betrayal-Just Too Funny For Words
[RedState] As RedState reported, Joe Biden ended his historically awful presidency by granting the most corrupt pardons in American history. After giving his son one covering any crimes spanning back to 2014, the now-former president upped the ante on his way out the door.

In a shocking move, he granted pardons to Anthony Fauci, Mark Milley, and all the members of the controversial January 6th committee. That wasn't the end of it, though. Just moments before Donald Trump took the oath of office, Biden's handlers filed pardons for five of his family members, including his brothers, both of which have been credibly accused of crimes.

Some Biden allies didn't get pardons, though, and they aren't too happy about it.

You may remember Alexander Vindman as the pudgy member of the first Trump administration's national security council who allegedly leaked classified information to a "whistle-blower." Those allegations eventually led to Trump's first impeachment. Well, his wife, Rachel Vindman, took to social media after Biden's pardons to provide all of us with a healthy dose of schadenfreude.

Decrying it as a "betrayal," she slammed the former president for not offering her and her family pardons.

On an Inauguration Day full of huge wins for the right, this one is pure entertainment both because it's hilarious to watch the Vindmans squirm and also because of what it symbolizes.

First are foremost, it should be asked why Rachel Vindman believes she and her family need pardons. Did they break the law? Because if they didn't, then what are they worried about? Of course, Alexander Vindmand likely did break the law and should be worried. Due to the last four years of partisan protection from the Biden administration, he has never faced an investigation into what information he gave the whistle-blower. That could happen now under Trump's DOJ, and it seems as if his wife isn't very excited about the prospect.

Beyond that, though, the Vindmans not receiving pardons exposes the reality of who Biden is. In the end, only the privileged win while useful idiots like the Vindmans get left out in the cold. The former president's family got fabulously rich off their corruption while getting legal protections for all their transgressions. Meanwhile, their pawns are being cast aside the moment they are no longer useful. There's something very poetic about that.

In the end, I doubt Trump wastes any time going after anyone beyond Alexander Vindman, who legitimately may have broken the law. Still, it's extremely satisfying to see someone as awful as Rachel Vindmand (if you need a refresher, click here) feel the heat. The free ride is over, and these people should be made to sweat a little.

Amsterdam club cancels Israeli comedian’s show after antisemitic threats
[IsraelTimes] Yohay Sponder’s Jan. 25 performance moved to new location, which will only be revealed to ticket holders on the day

An Israeli comedian’s show in Amsterdam has been moved to a new location after the owner of the original venue canceled the show due to antisemitic threats.

Yohay Sponder, a veteran of more than 12 years on Israel’s standup scene, had been scheduled to perform at the Boom reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
club in the Dutch capital on January 25 as part of the European tour for his English-language show, "Self-Loving Jew." But the club’s director Andrew Moskos informed Yohay’s wife and booking manager Kayla Sponder on Friday that the show would not be able to go on due to antisemitic threats.

Since October 7, 2023, many Jewish and Israeli performers have found their events canceled by venues concerned about violent mostly peaceful anti-Israel protesters, often at the last minute. Last month, a concert by American Hasidic singer Benny Friedman in London was canceled and moved due to similar threats.

Antisemitic incidents in Amsterdam have spiked since Hamas
..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
attacked Israel on October 7, killing 1,200, taking 251 hostages and sparking the war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
. In November last year, coordinated attacks against Israeli soccer fans in Amsterdam sparked furious reactions around the world.

"About two weeks ago, I got a phone call from one of the club’s employees letting me know that someone had come into the club saying things like ’How dare you let that Jew perform here,'" recalled Kayla Sponder. "She was very nice about it, and we agreed that we would pay for extra security out of our pockets and work together to notify the police. They assured me that we were moving full speed ahead."

The next week, Boom Chicago informed Sponder about a protest being organized outside the club. Several anti-Israel groups had posted on Instagram calling for followers to harass Boom Chicago to cancel the show of the ’ultra-Zionist’ comedian. Nonetheless, the club confirmed that the show was still on.

"But then, on Friday morning, I got an email from the club’s owner," she said. "He said that, while he values freedom of expression, due to the current climate and security concerns, he had to cancel the show."

Sponder said Moskos apologized and offered to help her find a new venue in a "Jewish location." The show has since been relocated to a new spot. The name of the venue will only be revealed to ticket holders on the day of the show, she said.

Nevertheless, Sponder is disappointed. "He caved to the bullies," she said. A police spokesperson later told her that they were never informed about the show and had no intelligence about any security concerns, she added.

Boom Chicago did not respond to an inquiry from The Times of Israel as of Sunday evening. Moskos has confirmed the story in the Dutch press.

In addition to Amsterdam, Sponder plans to perform in London, Berlin, Brussels, Frankfurt and Gay Paree during January and February. A US tour is planned for May, Kayla Sponder said.

Last month, Sponder appeared on The Times of Israel’s What Matters Now podcast with host deputy editor Amanda Borschel-Dan, telling a story about a performance in the US in which a group of pro-Paleostine activists showed up. The result was not what he expected.
Half hour long interview can be listened to at the link. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Two days into West Bank truce, Jenin terror groups open fire on PA forces
[IsraelTimes] Clashes have renewed between Palestinian Authority security forces and terror groups in the Jenin refugee camp less than two days after a truce had been reached that was supposed to bring an end to violence in the northern West Bank city after over a month, Palestinian media report.

The clashes come as the Gaza ceasefire and hostage release deal is being implemented. The Gaza agreement is likely a precursor to further tensions between Hamas — whose members in Jenin are affiliated to the armed groups in the northern West Bank — and the PA, as they jockey for post-war control over the Strip.

Last month, the PA launched an unprecedented counter-terror raid in Jenin to demonstrate it can regain control over increasingly lawless Palestinian areas of the West Bank and can do the same in December.

On Friday, the PA reached a truce with the so-called Jenin Battalion in which the leaders of the latter terror group handed over their weapons in exchange for immunity and allowed the PA to enter the refugee camp to restore order there.

PA forces have been operating in Jenin since the weekend, working to defuse bombs. Tonight, armed groups reopened fire against them, Palestinian media reports.

Houthis say they’ll keep targeting Israel-affiliated vessels in Red Sea for now, end other attacks on ships
[IsraelTimes] Yemen’s Houthi rebels signal that they will end their attacks on vessels in the Red Sea shipping corridor, with the exception of Israeli-affiliated ships, which the group says it will continue to target for the time being.

The Iran-backed group announces its decision through its Humanitarian Operations Coordination Center, saying that in light of the ceasefire-hostage deal between Israel and Hamas, it was “stopping sanctions” on other vessels it has regularly targeted since November 2023.

For Israeli ships, it says that the “sanctions” will only end “upon the full implementation of all phases” of the ceasefire deal in Gaza.
Such noble generosity, to be sure. Not that they bother to differentiate between Israeli and non-Israeli shios when something floats into their sights.
The Houthis will also deliver a military statement later today, likely about the decision.

Italian FM says Rome ready to send troops to Gaza as part of Arab-led international peace mission
[IsraelTimes] Italy is willing to send its troops to Gaza as part of an Arab-led peacekeeping mission, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani says, during a joint press conference with his Israeli counterpart Gideon Sa’ar at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem.

“Peace is a political priority for Italy,” Tajani says. “We are ready to support it through cooperation, economic assistance, and also by sending our women and men in uniform to Gaza, if there were an Arab-led international peace mission.”

Italy is one of the top troop-contributing countries to the UNIFIL mission in Lebanon, with over 1,000 soldiers there.

“Italy supports Israel and also maintains very good ties with the Palestinians; for this reason, we believe we can play an important in the region,” Tajani notes.

Neo-Nazi arrested after trying to enter Nashville Jewish Community Center disguised as a rabbi
Check out the image from the security camera at the link.
[IsraelTimes] Police in Nashville, Tennessee, have arrested a man affiliated with a neo-Nazi organization after he attempted to enter a Jewish Community Center disguised as an Orthodox rabbi.

Last week, Travis Keith Garland entered the Gordon JCC wearing a poorly designed disguise with a mock beard, fake peyot, or sidelocks, and a black coat. He held a cellphone in his hand to make it appear that he was recording or streaming, and asked to speak with a rabbi. When told there was no rabbi on the premises, he attempted to continue past a secured door before a security guard intervened and escorted him off the premises.

Since he was unarmed, Garland was allowed to leave the area after being warned. However, police later determined that he should be charged, and he was arrested after being located in Maryville, Tennessee. He told an officer that he was taking part in an internet prank.

Garland was later found to be a member of the Goyim Defense League, a neo-Nazi hate group that held antisemitic demonstrations in Nashville last summer. He was charged with criminal trespassing and assault, and the court set his bail at $250,000.
He has the right to be stupid. He does not have the right to try to terrify others.

Hamas names release date for second batch of hostages
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Palestinian movement Hamas will release the second batch of Israeli hostages on January 25. This was reported on January 20 by Reuters, citing a statement from the group.

"Hamas says the second batch of hostages will be released on Saturday as planned," the publication clarifies.

The hostages will be released in exchange for Palestinian prisoners and detainees held by Israel.

Earlier, Regnum news agency reported that Israeli authorities released the first 90 Palestinian prisoners on the evening of January 19 as part of an agreement with Hamas in exchange for the release of three hostages from the Gaza Strip.

Israeli authorities will make efforts to return hostages from the Gaza Strip until they receive all the Israelis who were there, the President of the Jewish state, Isaac Herzog, said on January 19. According to him, this concerns both living hostages and the bodies of those who died after being taken captive.

An agreement on a temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip was reached on January 15. It is to be implemented in three stages. First, the IDF will begin withdrawing troops from Gaza. At the same time, Hamas is obliged to release 33 hostages.

Pope Francis Debuts on TikTok to Hawk New Autobiography
TikTok? The Communist Chinese Party will no doubt find something interesting as they poke through the pope’s internet-connected devices.
[Breitbart] Pope Francis made his debut on TikTok Sunday to promote his new autobiography, written with Italian journalist Carlo Musso for Mondadori.

“I would like to thank Mr. Carlo Musso who had the patience to help me remember so many things about my life,” the pontiff said on the controversial Chinese social media platform in regard to his book titled Hope: The Autobiography.

“It is an autobiography, but for me autobiographies are to thank God for what he has done with my life,” he said from the study of his Santa Marta residence in the Vatican. “Ultimately, the real protagonist is the Lord who took me by the hand and led me forward.”

On Sunday evening the pope appeared on Italy’s number-one television talk show Che Tempo Che Fa (“What Weather We’re Having”), during which he also spoke of his autobiography with host Fabio Fazio.

The book “gives a sense of what I am like,” Francis said.

The pope has suffered criticism from conservatives for doubling down in the autobiography on his decision to ban the Traditional Latin Mass (TLM) in Catholic parishes, specifically lamenting its appeal to the “younger generations.”

The “rigidity” of those who prefer the Traditional Latin Mass “is often accompanied by elegant and costly tailoring, lace, fancy trimmings, rochets. Not a taste for tradition but clerical ostentation, which is none other than an ecclesiastical version of individualism” the pope declares.

“These ways of dressing up sometimes conceal mental imbalance, emotional deviation, behavioral difficulties,” he continues.

“Not a return to the sacred but to quite the opposite, to sectarian worldliness,” he adds.

As one review noted, the pope comes close to “conflating a love of the Old Mass with psychosexual disorder” and to “equating liturgical conservatism with effeminacy.”

Elon Musk announces DOGE's first official act as Trump takes over in Oval Office
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Elon Musk has revealed the Department of Government Efficiency's first task since Donald Trump returned to Oval Office.

'It begins,' the tech billionaire wrote alongside a post from the department's official X account.

DOGE has set to work removing the Chief Diversity Officers Executive Council website from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.

President Trump has been highly vocal about his intention to dismantle diversity, equity and inclusion offices across federal government, describing them as 'Marxist.'

'I will end all of the Marxist diversity, equity and inclusion policies across the entire federal government immediately,' Trump said in December.

Now, Musk is ensuring that Trump's vision is carried out at the highest level, with the removal of the executive council website.

Just yesterday the website described its services as the 'principal interagency forum to implement and sustain a national strategy for DEIA across Federal government.'

But Musk's call to wipe the website from the personnel platform indicates the entire department will be - or has already been - shuttered.

There is now nothing now keeping any mentally and law-abiding, stable citizen from advancing to any level in Corporate America or Government in the USA.

Nearly two thirds of convicted rapists in Sweden are migrants or second generation immigrants
[TelegraphArchive] Study also suggests the longer a foreigner lived in Sweden, the less likely they were to commit rape

Nearly two thirds of convicted rapists in Sweden are migrants colonists or second generation immigrants colonists, a new study has found.

Researchers at Lund University found that 63 per cent of convictions for rape or attempted rape were handed down to people born abroad, or whose parents were born abroad.

The study examined 4,000 convictions between 2000 and 2024 and also suggested that the longer a foreigner lived in Sweden, the less likely they were to commit rape.

It comes as the Swedish government adopts a significantly tougher stance on migration, with new rules coming into force which require foreigners to prove they have lived an "honest life" to gain citizenship.

The study was led by Ardavan Khoshnood, a criminologist at Lund University, and follows a similar study in 2018 which found that 58 per cent of rape convictions came from residents born overseas.

STUDY FACES CRITICISM OVER METHODOLOGY
Mr Khoshnood said the statistics also showed that migrants colonists who had been in Sweden for less than five years were more likely to be convicted of rape.

"The longer you have lived in Sweden, the lower the odds of being convicted of rape. So we can see that the integration and understanding you develop for Swedish society plays a major role," Mr Khoshnood told Swedish news outlet SVT.
That’s interesting. Do the long-term rapists leave, or do the rapists outgrow it over time?
The study has faced criticism over its methodology, as it only studied rape convictions in Sweden. Experts point to the fact that just a small proportion of rapes in the country are reported to the authorities.

Jerzy Sarnecki, a criminologist at Stockholm University, dismissed the study as "meaningless" as it only examined figures for convicted rape.

"They’ve only looked at convicted people, and they make up a fraction of all rapists," he told Swedish broadcaster SVT.

Mr Khoshnood has defended that approach, arguing that 4,000 rape cases over a two-decade period gives "as broad a picture as possible" of the situation in Sweden.

TOUGHER LAWS ON MIGRATION
Sweden, which has a population of 10.5 million, welcomed around 160,000 asylum seekers at the height of the 2015 refugee crisis.
That’s it? Germany accepted about a million that year, as I recall.
But the mood on mass migration has soured in Sweden, which announced last August that it had recorded more emigrants colonists than immigrants colonists for the first time in a century.

The shift is partly due to the make-up of the current minority government, which relies on the far-Right Sweden Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
party to pass legislation.

Having come second place in the 2022 elections, the Sweden Democrats have pushed for tougher laws on migration, integration and citizenship in Sweden.
Under new rules, migrants colonists will be required to live in Sweden for eight years before being eligible for citizenship, rather than five years.

They must also prove that they have no criminal record or unpaid debts in Sweden or abroad, whereas previously the "honest way of life" clause applied only to their conduct since coming to Sweden.

"You should feel proud to be a Swedish citizen, and you only feel proud once you’ve made an effort," said Johan Forssell, the migration minister this week.

"This is particularly important at a time when Sweden has welcomed hundreds of thousands of people from many parts of the world in recent years."

#2  "The longer you have lived in Sweden, the lower the odds of being convicted of rape. So we can see that the integration and understanding you develop for Swedish society plays a major role," Mr Khoshnood told Swedish news outlet SVT.

Because there are so many rapes going on and no go zones so they can't and won't be arrested and convicted?

It would be interesting to see the conviction rate of native vs. immigrant accusations, too.
