Hamas threatens to ramp up violence after Palestinian gunmen killed in IDF raid
It was a busy day for all concerned.
[IsraelTimes] Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
-based terror group threatens to meet ’escalation with escalation’ as Israel launches large-scale operation in West Bank following wave of deadly terror attacks in Israel

The Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw, terror group threatened on Thursday to escalate violence against Israel, after Israeli forces launched a large-scale anti-terror operation in the West Bank in response to a string of attacks in the last two weeks that have left 11 Israelis dead. Hamas, which rules the Gaza Strip, threatened to meet "escalation with escalation" and warned of a "comprehensive explosion."

Three Paleostinian button men were killed in a firefight with Israeli troops Thursday when commandos entered the Paleostinian city of Jenin in a rare daytime raid and dozens more were arrested, the army said in a statement.

Paleostinian Authority health officials reported two deaths and 14 maimed in the festivities. A source involved in the matter later told The Times of Israel that indeed only two deaths had been confirmed, however, another two Paleostinians were brain-dead, but still on life support.

The warning came as Israeli officials have sought to head off tensions ahead of the Moslem holy month of Ramadan, amid fears that the violence could snowball into the same type of unrest that rocked Israel in May 2021, when Hamas began shooting rockets into Israel, sparking an 11-day war with Gaza and days of rioting between Arabs and Jews inside Israel.

At the same time, Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
leader Ziyad al-Nakhaleh called for the group’s armed wing to be put on "high alert."

The widescale Israeli operation in the West Bank, expected to continue in the coming days, was launched following a meeting of top ministers, who decided to bolster police and military forces and push offensive anti-terror operations.

The arrest operation — dubbed "Breakwater" — targeted individuals suspected of planning future attacks, as well as some thought to be tied to Tuesday’s deadly attack in Bnei Brak, perpetrated by a Paleostinian from a village near Jenin.

Paleostinian media identified two of the Paleostinian casualties in the raid as Sanad Abu Atiyeh, 17, and Yazid al-Sa’adi, 23.

Some 31 suspects were arrested overnight, including a Paleostinian from Hebron suspected of affiliation with Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
, the military said. Since a terror attack in Beersheba on March 22 carried out by an Arab Israeli man from the southern town of Hura — previously enjugged
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
for attempting to join Islamic State — Israeli security forces have arrested 43 suspects who allegedly sympathize with the jihadist group.

Days after the deadly attack, two cousins from Umm al-Fahm — one of whom had been previously enjugged
Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw!
for attempting to join Islamic State — killed two coppers at a bus stop in Hadera.

On Tuesday, five Israelis were killed in a killing spree carried out by a Paleostinian terrorist in Bnei Brak. There was no indication that he was a member of Islamic State.

And on Thursday morning, an Israeli man was seriously maimed in a stabbing attack near the West Bank settlement of Neve Daniel, medics said.

Responding to the "wave of murderous terrorism," Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said Wednesday "There is no limit on resources" that should go toward tackling terrorism. He noted that the military’s presence in the West Bank and along the Green Line has been heavily reinforced in recent days.
An Israeli man was seriously maimed Thursday morning in a terror stabbing near the West Bank settlement of Neve Daniel, south of Jerusalem. The 28-year-old was assaulted by another bus passenger, a Paleostinian armed with a screwdriver. Medics said three others were treated at the scene for anxiety.

The terrorist was rubbed out by an armed passenger on the bus, the Israel Defense Forces confirmed.

Paleostinian health officials identified the assailant as Nidal Juma’a Ja’afra, 30. Israeli soldiers later entered Ja’afra’s hometown of Tarqumiyah to search his house.

According to Paleostinian media reports, festivities erupted in the area soon after the troops raided the town. There was no immediate comment by the Israeli military.

The story of an elite Russian unit's war in Ukraine - BBC Newsnight (Video)
[BBC] Russia’s 331st Guards Parachute Regiment is considered "the best of the best", but BBC Newsnight has been tracing the casualties as the unit battles through Ukraine.

The regiment's commanding officer - Col Sergei Sukharev - died in mid-March. His chief of staff and numerous other officers have also fallen.

The regiment previously served in the Balkans, Chechnya and the 2014 Russia invasion in the Donbas.

Tracking the unit through Ukraine, Newsnight’s diplomatic and defence editor Mark Urban looks at the outpouring of grief and anger from Russia in response to the devastating losses. What went wrong for the once-elite regiment? And what does its fate tell us about Russia's invasion of Ukraine?

This film was produced by Maria Jevstafjeva and Louis Harris-White.

Moscow says Ukraine hit a fuel depot inside Russia
April 1 (Reuters) - Russia accused Ukraine of carrying out an air strike against a fuel depot in the Russian city of Belgorod on Friday, an incident the Kremlin said set an unfavourable tone for peace talks with Kyiv.

Ukraine's foreign minister, Dmytro Kuleba, said he could not confirm or deny reports of Ukrainian involvement in the strike as he did not have military information. The Ukrainian Defence Ministry and the general staff did not respond to requests for comment.

Video footage of the purported attack -- the first accusation of a Ukrainian air strike on Russian soil since Moscow launched its invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24 -- showed what looked like several missiles being fired from low altitude, followed by an explosion. Reuters could not immediately verify the footage.

"Comprimise" with an invader who wants to turn your nation into his puppet?

And I love the idea that Ukrainian counter-strikes prompt the shrieking over things "getting out of control". No, Putin's invasion is the problem. He could withdraw his troops and start negotiating on how much to pay for the damage.

#40  Phase one over, phase two starting. For those with military experience there’s a step called “reorganize and consolidate.” So far this has been a war of maneuver - more like naval warfare than traditional US ground doctrine. There are 40-60,000 Ukrainian troops trapped in the Donbas cauldron. Those are / were the best equipped / trained Ukrainian forces. Having ground them down for 30 days of minimal sleep / resupply it’s time to transition. The casualty rates will increase on both sides but there are insufficient trained, equipped Ukrainians to reinforce the pocket. Reductions using stand off weapons will be the preferred mode. Remember most Ukrainians speak / understand Russian. Calls to surrender will at some point be heeded. When the fixed Ukrainian force is no longer combat effective the remaining Russian forces committed will be able to transition to their next phase. Please keep in mind that the Ukraine is simply where the most visible portion of this war is being fought.

#41  Slavyansk and Gorlovka both are impediments standing in the way of closing the lid.

Both are likely heavily mined and reinforced.

My guess is that the Ukrainians are hoping to grind down the Russians in those areas before they withdraw west.

#45  Could be evolving into a very costly punitive action, culminated with a scorched earth, face saving tactical withdrawal.

That was one of the options. Russia is conducting a punitive action coupled with the liberation of the breakaway republics.

If they catch the approx. ten Ukrainian combat brigades in a pocket, it will be just icing on the cake for the Russians.

Ukrainians have a history of strnading their combat formations in cauldrons.

#46  Kiev was never central to Russian objectives. Their two goals were 1) to eliminate Ukraine as a potential NATO bulwark and 2) to protect the Russian speaker's in the Donbas.

The tactical means of achieving goal #2 involved beating down the Azov Battalion and other fascist paras.

The strategy for achieving goal #1 had three elements. The most important by far was to secure a lasting land bridge across the Azov Sea coast all the way to Crimea so that Russia's crown jewel, the naval base at Sevastopol, will never be threatened by NATO. Next in importance is to split Ukraine in two. Finally, the the third leg of the stool was to as Mearsheimer says, "wreck" Ukraine.

After Ukraine is wrecked it will become another Gaza, a basket case ward of the Western liberal nations, the shattered rump of a nation supported by the West which fights on hopelessly against its ruthless, dominant neighbor.

#47  ...split Ukraine in two. Finally, the the third leg of the stool was to as Mearsheimer says, "wreck" Ukraine

Similar to the Union strategy in the West during the Civil War. Grant split the South in two with the victory at Vicksburg, then Sherman wrecked the heart of the south with his March to the Sea.

They called Grant a bloody butcher of his own men and Sherman today would be called a war criminal, but they won the war. In the end, that's all that matters.

#49  #43 IMHO the Kiev thrust was a tangential gambit. There was maybe a 10% chance of the Ukies folding, capturing key leadership, etc. and wrapping things up quickly. Didn’t happen but it was worth a shot. More importantly was securing the Chernobyl site after the Ukrainian comments about going nuclear. A dirty bomb is nobody’s friend. Operationally that thrust tied down significant numbers of the Ukrainian forces defending Kiev - who could not then reinforce the other vectors of attack. Estimate it’ll take until the end of April to complete mop up activities in the cauldron. That’s a LONG time in todays arena. #50  the Kiev thrust was a tangential gambit There was maybe a 10% chance of the Ukies folding, capturing key leadership, etc. and wrapping things up quickly. Didn’t happen but it was worth a shot. More importantly was securing the Chernobyl site after the Ukrainian comments about going nuclear..

Exactly. Kiev was not a feint but a small side bet

#51  After Ukraine is wrecked it will become another Gaza, a basket case ward of the Western liberal nations, the shattered rump of a nation supported by the West which fights on hopelessly against its ruthless, dominant neighbor.

So all the sentimental talk about Ukrainians and Russians being one people, about Kiev being the heart of the Rus — all that was always meaningless? And really the intention all along was another Holodomor?

Wow. No wonder the Ukrainians objected.

#53  the sentimental talk about Ukrainians and Russians being one people, about Kiev being the heart of the Rus — all that was always meaningless?

Nonsense. We and the Confederates were / are one people. That didn't stop Sherman from burning starving and slaughtering his way through Georgia.

This is a war. War is hell. That doesn't diminish or detract from the reality the two sides are one people. It is in essence a civil war.

You're so ignorant... The war in the Donbas has been going on for eight years! 14,000 people have died in this civil war!

It's a civil war between one side that's loyal to Kiev and that wants to join the West and another, Russian-speaking, that's loyal to Moscow. Only the ignorance of so many in the West can explain the unbelievable denial of basic facts

There are a couple overlapping things going on here: one is the Donbas breakaway republics thing which is pretty much a Ukrainian civil war. The other is Russian security vs NATO.

The important bit for the Russians is Russian security. The Donbas is kind of a side-quest. But success there does mean a much fatter corridor to Crimea.

#75  #40 There are 40-60,000 Ukrainian troops trapped in the Donbas cauldron. Those are / were the best equipped / trained Ukrainian forces. Having ground them down for 30 days of minimal sleep / resupply it’s time to transition. The casualty rates will increase on both sides but there are insufficient trained, equipped Ukrainians to reinforce the pocket.

This is correct. The bulk of the Ukrainian Army -- most estimates are closer to 60,000 troops -- is encircled in the East, in the Donbas. The Russians are slowly and steadily tightening the noose. If the Ukrainians lose this force, they are finished.

Russia is concentrating on the Azov region, not Kiev.

#76  Clearly the Russian strategy is focused on cutting off Ukrainian access to the Black Sea -- in effect making Ukraine landlocked. Similar to the Israeli strategy against the Palestinians: shatter the nation and render it incapable of seriously threatening Israel.

Same for Russia vs Ukraine: make Ukraine into a kind of E European version of the Palestinian Territories, with no value to NATO.

Gulf Cartel Commander Killed in Mexican Border City
Graphic
[Breitbart] A Gulf Cartel commander and four of his bodyguards died Thursday morning during a shootout with the Mexican military near the Texas border.

The shootout took place in Miguel Aleman, where soldiers clashed with a Gulf Cartel strike team led by “Commander Tilin.”

One was a female who was fatally injured in the shootout despite efforts to save her by responding medical personnel.

According to information provided to Breitbart Texas by Mexican law enforcement sources, Tilin and his security detail were in Miguel Aleman on Thursday morning when they encountered a military patrol. The incident turned into a chase with both sides exchanging fire.

The shootout set off blockades throughout the city. The military did not sustain any casualties.

The shootout comes at a time when the Gulf Cartel is waging a fierce turf war against the Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas, which has forced the Gulf to deploy substantial numbers of gunmen.

Republican Crackheads Primary Cawthorn
[ArcaMax] RALEIGH, N.C. — Three of North Carolina’s most powerful Republican elected officials are backing a primary-election challenger to U.S. Rep. Madison Cawthorn.

Cawthorn, a first-term representative from far-western North Carolina, has generated headlines and controversies since before joining Congress after a surprising GOP primary victory in 2020.

But the most recent string of controversies — a series of charges of speeding and driving violations, unflattering comments about the Ukrainian president after Russia’s invasion, and claims that people in Washington have invited him to orgies and he’s seen some do cocaine — represent a breaking point for some.

In particular, the remark about sex and drugs has led to outrage among fellow Republicans, who seemed content to let other controversies surrounding the 26-year-old go.

U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis is backing state Sen. Chuck Edwards in Cawthorn’s 11th Congressional District. In addition, state Senate leader Phil Berger and House Speaker Tim Moore planned to host a fundraiser for Edwards on Thursday afternoon. Donations of $250 to $2,900 are required to attend the event, according to an invitation. Edwards is one of seven Republicans running against Cawthorn.

"Mr. Cawthorn hasn’t demonstrated much in the way of results over the last 18 months," Tillis told CNN on Wednesday at the Capitol.

The primary is May 17.

Kevin McCarthy, the top Republican in the U.S. House, met with Cawthorn on Wednesday after his sex-and-drug comments alarmed and angered members of the GOP caucus. McCarthy told reporters afterward that Cawthorn exaggerated or lied about the claims, saying he "did not tell the truth."

"I’m very disappointed. I told him he’s lost my trust. He’s lost my trust. He’s going to have to earn it back," McCarthy told Capitol Hill reporters after meeting with Cawthorn. McCarthy did not rule out removing Cawthorn from his committee assignments in his comments.

As Russia sees tech brain drain, other nations hope to gain
[AyPee] Russia’s tech workers are looking for safer and more secure professional pastures.

By one estimate, up to 70,000 computer specialists, spooked by a sudden frost in the business and political climate, have bolted the country since Russia invaded Ukraine five weeks ago. Many more are expected to follow.

For some countries, Russia’s loss is being seen as their potential gain and an opportunity to bring fresh expertise to their own high-tech industries.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has noticed the brain drain even in the throes of a war that, according to the U.N. refugee agency, has caused more than 4 million people to flee Ukraine and displaced millions more within the country.

This week, Putin reacted to the exodus of tech professionals by approving legislation to eliminate income taxes between now and 2024 for individuals who work for information technology companies.

Some people in the vast new pool of high-tech exiles say they are in no rush to return home. An elite crowd furnished with European Union visas has relocated to Poland or the Baltic nations of Latvia and Lithuania.

A larger contingent has fallen back on countries where Russians do not need visas: Armenia, Georgia and the former Soviet republics in Central Asia. In normal times, millions of less-skilled laborers emigrate from those economically shaky countries to comparatively more prosperous Russia.

Anastasia, a 24-year-old freelance computer systems analyst from the Siberian city of Novosibirsk, chose Kyrgyzstan, where her husband has family.

“When we heard about the war on (Feb. 24), we thought it was probably time to leave, but that we might wait and see. On February 25, we bought our tickets and left,” Anastasia said. “There wasn’t much thinking to do.”

Like all the Russian workers contacted for this story, Anastasia asked to remain anonymous. Moscow was cracking down on dissent even before the invasion of Ukraine, and people living outside Russia still fear reprisals.

“As long as I can remember, there has always been fear around expressing one’s own views in Russia,” Anastasia said, adding that the war and “the background noise of patriotism” made the environment even more forbidding. “I left one day before they began searching and interrogating people at the border.”

Dyson says its new Zone air purifying Bluetooth headphones can fight air and noise pollution
[euronews] Known for its home appliances like vacuum cleaners and air purifiers, Dyson is launching its first piece of wearable tech in the form of wireless headphones that have an air filtration system built in.

The company says its Dyson Zone product is aimed at millions of city dwellers worldwide who are exposed to high levels of airborne pollutants and excessive noise.

Each cup of the over-ear Bluetooth headphones contains a compressor which draws air through electrostatically-charged filters, trapping particulates.

The filters can also cut out common pollutants like nitrogen dioxide and sulphur dioxide, Dyson said.

5 J&K employees sacked for terror links: How government of India is cleaning the rot within
[OneIndia] The Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
administration has sacked five more its employees including two cops for their alleged links with terror groups. They were dismissed on the instructions of LT. Governor, Manoj Sinha.

Constable Tawseef Ahmed Mir from Pulwama, computer operator Ghulam Hassan Parray from Srinagar, Arshid Ahmad Das, a teacher from Awantipora in south Kashmir's Pulwama district, constable Shahid Hussain Rather of Baramulla, and nursing orderly in the health department Sharafat Ahmad Khan from Keran, Kupwara were the five to be sacked for alleged terror links.

The J&K government has so far sacked over 20 employees for their links with terrorists.

In February the National Investigation Agency arrested its former Superintendent of Police and IPS officer Arvind Digvijay Negi on the ground that he was leaking secret documents to the Lashkar-e-Tayiba.

The case was registered by the NIA in November last year and it pertains to the spread of the network of the over ground workers of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba. Earlier six persons had been arrested by the agency in connection with the case.

Officials tell OneIndia that while such activities have been taking place for long, the security agencies have now started closely monitoring the situation as a result of which such elements are being arrested.

In November last year a senior prison officer and a school principal were sacked for working with Lions of Islam in Jammu and Kashmir. After investigation suggested that these persons had terror links, Deputy Superintendent of Jails in the Union Territory, Feroz Ahmad Lone, and government school principal Javid Ahmad Shah were sacked. In October last year the J&K government sacked six of its employees for having terror links. Two among those dismissed were police constables.

The probe revealed that Lone was working with Riyaz Naikoo, a terrorist of the Hizbul Mujahideen
...Party of Holy Warriors, founded by Muhammad Ahsan Dar in September 1989. One of the Pak sock puppets waging jihad in Indian Kashmir. It was originally organized as the armed wing of Jamaat-e-Islami. In 1990, Dar declared Hizbul as the sword arm of Jamaat. Hizbul murdered many of the pro-independence intelligentsia in Kashmir. After the organization was taken over by Syed Salahuddin Dar and several other ex-Hizb leaders were assassinated between 2001 and 2003...
who was recently rubbed out by security forces. He is alleged to have helped the Lions of Islam gain access to the prison and meet with another terrorist who was arrested.

A close watch is kept on these government officials, especially those who are working in the jail administration. The jails in Jammu and Kashmir have over the years become breeding grounds and radicalisation takes place in a big way before newer recruits are produced in jails itself, the official cited above said.

These developments come in the wake of the instructions issued by the administration on the periodic character and antecedents verification of babus government employees.

The instructions said that the general administration department of every employee is mandatorily required to maintain absolute integrity, honesty and allegiance to the Union of India and its Constitution. The instruction also said that the employee shall not do anything unbecoming of a government servant.

The J&K administration took the decision after a designated committee mandated to scrutinise sensitive cases under Article 311 (2) (c) of the Constitution. The committee recommended the removal of the six employees over terror links.

US mortgage rates climb steeply, slowing housing boom
[Bloomberg via Aljazeera] Demand for second homes in the U.S. is plummeting as mortgage rates climb steeply.

After a pandemic buying frenzy, mortgage-rate locks to buy second homes dropped last month to the lowest level since May 2020, according to a report by Redfin Corp. While demand was still up 35% from February 2020, before Covid-19 hit the U.S., it was significantly lower than the previous month’s 87% jump, the brokerage said.

Reminiscent of the initial steps in the Obama Housing market crash.

Step 1 Low Interest rates to boost the economy.

Step 2 A Hot housing market leads to inflated prices.

Step 3 Economy Inflation and the interest rates are steeply increased. Unemployment increases.

Step 4 Sharp quick decline in housing sales sold at the inflated asking prices.

Step 5 Housing glut drives prices down. Leaving many new homeowners stuck with houses purchased at 25% to 30+ % over actual market value.

Step 6 Bankruptcies increase. A flood of vacant repo houses hit the market well below cost as the banks attempt to recover some $$$$$

Step 7 Taxpayers bailout the Banks again.

etc....

Buffett too, and lots of other hedge funds have joined the party. It's a big reason supply is so limited and prices are so high. Big investors can borrow cheap, collect rents, and watch the book value climb. When the market starts tanking they'll buy more houses and keep on collecting rents.

-War on Police-
Fresno Detective helps Joe Roy end life of crime
[Breitbart] A man who pleaded no contest to assault charges on Tuesday afterward exited the building and entered a police annex building where he allegedly assaulted a Fresno detective.

ABC 30 reports 24-year-old Joseph Roy pleaded no contest on an assault charge earlier in the day. The plea would spare him from prison time but "required to complete alcohol and anger management treatment and wasn’t allowed to have a firearm."

The plea would also result in a felony on Roy’s record with the understanding the felony would be reduced to a misdemeanor after one year if Roy maintained good behavior.

Roy’s attorney spent time trying to get the sentence postponed, claiming his client could not comprehend what was happening. Shortly thereafter Roy exited the court proceedings, entered the annex, and allegedly assaulted the detective.

KMPH notes the detective Roy allegedly assaulted was 24-year veteran of the police force. He "suffered a puncture wound to his forehead and long cuts to his face and scalp," among other injuries.

The detective was able to shoot Roy, thereby stopping the alleged assault. Roy died at the scene.
Wonder if he knew what was happening then? "You're dying, asshole. Quit bleeding on our carpet, dammit"
Police Lt. Bill Dooley said, "This is one of those cases where our suspect intentionally identified the Fresno Police Department. Intentionally went inside. He was not fighting to try to escape. He was fighting to try and hurt."

Dooley added, "There’s no connection between the detective who was assaulted by Mr. Roy. They’ve never had contact. The detective has not worked any of his cases."

Man sorely regrets injecting his johnson with cocaine as it turns black and ROTS
[Blaze] A 35-year-old man showed up at a hospital in New York after injecting his penis with cocaine and subsequently watching in horror as his member turned black and began to rot, according to emergency room doctors at BronxCare Hospital Center.

The unidentified man reportedly spent three days with "excruciating and progressive penile and scrotal pain" that started almost immediately after the injection. Doctors reported "ulcerations and swelling" on his penis and scrotum with "foul-smelling serous discharge" as well as "necrosis" of the penis, the medical term for rotting tissue.

The man admitted this wasn't the first time he'd made the stunning decision to inject cocaine directly into the "dorsal vein" of his penis, stating that he had tempted fate "at least two times in the past two weeks without any complications."

Centric to Islamic radicalisation in India, Zakir Naik’s IRF banned for 5 years
[OneIndia] Radical islamic preacher, Zakir Naik
Indian Islamic preacher, founder and president of the Islamic Research Foundation, which doesn't rely very heavily on the scientific method. He is also the founder of the oxymoronic Peace TV channel through which he reaches 200 million viewers. He has been called an authority on comparative religion and the most influential Salafi ideologue in India, though usually by himself. Before becoming a public speaker, he trained as a physician. His preaching is currently banned in India, Bangladesh, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Antarctica. He is currently holed up in Malaysia, where he's not banned...
's organization Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) has been banned on charges of radicalising Moslem youth.

The Ministry of Home Affairs in a notification declared the IRF an unlawful association and banned it for five years. The MHA said that the speeches of Naik were objectionable in nature and he had been extolling known faceless myrmidons apart from stating that every Moslem should be a terrorist.

The notification also said that Zakir Naik has been promoting forcible conversion of youth Islam. He has also justified suicide kabooms and had made objectionable comments against Hindus and Hindu Gods.

The notorious radical preacher has been a centric figure in every Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
recruit in India. The runaway who is in Malaysia has had his name taken several times in the past by radical elements. He has however maintained that he has nothing to do with these incidents and India is indulging in a witch-hunt against him.

In the Kerala Islamic State case, his name has cropped in the past as well. The raids that were conducted on Sunday are related to the same case and the NIA has learnt that the members of this module were on the same social media group that the faceless myrmidons who undertook the Sri Lanka blasts were. The NIA has however said that it found no direct link between the Kerala module and the one in Sri Lanka.

Last year, the NIA arrested Nashidul Hamzafar a 26 year old management student from Wayanad in Kerala. He was the first ISIS recruit from Kerala to be deported from Afghanistan. During his interrogation, he details the role played by Islamic preachers such as Naik and what sort of an influence they had on him, which ultimately prompted him to join the ISIS.

Hamzafar says that he was not attracted to the ISIS ideology for long. I found them to be too brutal and the outfit only scared me, he says. My ambition was to pursue my education and find a good job in Dubai.

A lot changed when one of his friends, Shihas sent him an audio clip regarding the Islamic State. My perception towards the outfit changed. Then I began listening to audios of Zakir Naik, Noman Alikhan among others. Their speeches inspired me and my approach towards life changed.

Going by his statements, it becomes clear that the likes of Zakir Naik through his Islamic Research Foundation and the Kerala based Peace Educational Foundation have played a huge role in the radicalisation of youth in Kerala.

Recently a Mumbai court had framed charges against Arshi Qureshi. The case relates to the indoctrination of Ashfak Majid and his associates into extreme jihadi ideology by a group of like-minded youths from Kasaragod district of Kerala. It was also stated that some members of the Zakir Naik run NGO, Islamic Research Foundation too were involved in the radicalisation process. It was further alleged that these persons had motivated the youth to join the Islamic state.

Naik has repeatedly claimed that he is being targeted due to his religion. An NIA official however says that this is misconstrued and the agency is targeting him for acts of terror.

In a reply to the Interpol, the NIA said that he is under investigation for funding terror suspects. The NIA also pointed out that it had repeatedly sent out summons to Naik, but he has not once presented himself before the agency. The NIA also said that his passport had been revoked.

Further the NIA also said that Naik's NGO Islamic Research Foundation had been banned by the Government and the same was upheld by the tribunal. He had funded a few terror suspects through his NGO and hence he needs to be questioned in that connection, the NIA also told the Interpol.
Naik not only provoked Moslems to take up arms, but was also involved in an extremely serious conversion racket. Investigations conducted in the year 2016 showed that his organization was active and strong in many parts of the country.

A complaint had been filed by one Ebin Jacob from Kerala, who alleged that his sister had been converted. The lady in question was born as Merrin. However,
the way to a man's heart remains through his stomach...
following her marriage she was taken to meet Naik's aide, Arshi Qureshi. She had converted and her name was changed to Mirriam.

Sources in the investigating agency tell OneIndia that they have learnt that Rs 50,000 cash would be paid to people who would convert to Islam. "We believe that these were forced conversions which is against the law. Moreover the law on conversions does not permit monetary benefits" sources said.

Naik exploited the situation in Kerala and added to the already existing menace of conversions to Islam. In 2016 two of Naik's aides were arrested and they revealed in detail about this racket. At that time the police had 5,700 conversions under the scanner and it was believed that nearly a 1,000 of them were done by Naik's IRF.

#2  In fact his followers have only grown, with each successive 'ban' and asset freeze. Narrowly avoided jail thanks to corrupt gummint servants who tipped 'im off. I had actually advised bumping him off in 2010 after one of his peace conference thingies. Today, there's danger of this whole thing blowing up as a diplomatic charlie foxtrot with the OICs.

Also, the Indian police brass and home agencies are populated by civilian recruits and officers, hopelessly dirty bastards, products of one of the most corrupt societies ever. There is no concept of duty, honor, loyalty to anything. What they do is let these foundations and outfits propagate, let them acquire capital assets, even take protection and hush money sometimes from them. Only when it becomes a national security matter they swoop in. 'Top Men' from revenue and finance, enforcement, intelligence, everyone then feasts. On the appropriated assets, the untold sums of money and property confiscated. Everyone from the ministry of finance to law and home gets a piece. Sometimes they even let the primary fcuker escape. Because they have purposely diluted evidence, looked the other way for years, they present a watered down and half-assed case to the courts. Result is, no great repercussions for the offender and the bureaucrats successfully digest what loot they can.

Which is why the current diminishing of the west's capability to 'protect human rights' by interventionism is actually welcome here.

We have such treats planned. It's the civil leadership that always obstructs good work. Because of them everything has to be surgical, wrapped in political obfuscation. A little like Israel. In fact a lot like Israel.

'Chaos in Haiti......again: ‘Anti-Crime' Protesters Burn U.S. Christian Group's Plane
[Breitbart] Haitians protesting against a recent spike in crime in the Haitian city of Les Cayes on Tuesday stormed a local airport and burned a small jet owned by a U.S.-based Christian missionary group, Reuters reported.

"The protesters entered the local airport in Les Cayes even though police fired tear gas at the group, according to a video of the incident filmed by online media group Cayes Infos," Reuters relayed on March 29 after reviewing the footage.

"The video shows dozens of people approaching the plane and pushing it down the tarmac. The plane is later seen on a street, apparently near the airport, where it was set on fire," the news agency detailed.

Agape Flights, the missionary group that owned the doomed airplane, confirmed the incident in a statement posted on its website March 29.

The press release read, in part:

Rioting broke out in the Les Cayes, Haiti area on March 29, 2022, including the airport.

Due to the rioting, Agape’s Chieftain aircraft has been destroyed, but our team on the ground is safe. We are preparing to bring them back to the U.S. safely.

The US Military.

I say let them fight it out until they realize just how bad their culture of gangs is, and let them bleed until either they fix it the old way (killing gangsters), or they kill so many off their own that their broken society/culture collapses.

Burn it down and then maybe we can consider a "from the ground up" rebuilt which they will have to do most of themselves.

Democrat Lawyers Object to Durham Asking Potential Jurors if They Have Links to Hillary Clinton's Promotion of Russian Collusion Hoax
[GP] Special Prosecutor John Durham wants to ask potential jurors if they have any links to Hillary Clinton’s promotion of the Russian collusion hoax.

Recall, Hillary Clinton hatched the Trump-Russia plot in 2016 to distract from her emails transmitted over a private server while she was the head of the Department of State.

John Durham wants to know about any links to Hillary Clinton’s promotion of the Russian collusion canard in a questionnaire to potential jurors.

Attorneys for Clinton’s campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann however are objecting to the question.

Winsome Sears: Americans Know Biden Is To Blame For High Gas Prices
[Washington Examiner] Virginia Lt. Gov. Winsome Sears slammed President Joe Biden's attempts to blame energy prices on Russia's invasion of Ukraine on Thursday, saying "the American people aren’t stupid" and aren't falling for it.

"They know that prices were rising from the day that he started," Sears told the Washington Examiner after speaking at an event at American University in Washington, D.C., hosted by the AU College Republicans and the AU Network of Enlightened Women.

"We were a net exporter of energy before he came into office, and he changed all that. So this is pretty much squarely on his shoulders and the shoulders of Democrats."

Of the president's response to rampant inflation, Sears told the Washington Examiner, "We ought to continue to drill," adding that "he should open the Keystone Pipeline."

The lieutentant governor praised the president for news that he is releasing one-third of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve but said, "We should’ve replenished it when President Trump wanted to do so."

She further decried "onerous" regulations that she says prevent companies with current leases from drilling to their full potential. "So, to tell us that the businesses should act on the leases that they already have is stupid, and it’s disingenuous at the same time," Sears continued.

Biden alone is not to blame.
It took a ☺ Village ☺ Liberal Socialist Democrat idiots in DC to screw it up this bad.

Remember Biden in week 1 of his admin, told us he was just signing whatever is put in front of him.

The LSD poorly thought out Eco Agenda did this with Biden.
Actions that stopped a lot of drilling, Fracking, and pipeline delivery. This is what has left us in short supply.

I am sure the DC LSD's understood how their actions would interact with the Free Market Rule of Supply and Demand.

Thus driving up prices that hurt everyone and yes their own voters.

IRGC top commander says Tehran will not tolerate relations between Gulf countries, Israel
[Rudaw] The top commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on Wednesday warned the Arab Gulf countries that Tehran will not tolerate the occurrence of political and security relations between them and Israel, days after officials from Israel, the US, and four Arab countries took part in a groundbreaking summit with Iran
...The nation is noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence...
as the main topic of discussion.

"Unfortunately some of the regimes ruling the countries in the south of Persian Gulf have established political and security relations with the Zionist regime, this issue is a serious threat for the security of the region and in particular these regimes," Commander Hossein Salami said at Abu Musa island near the Strait of Hormoz, where he paid a visit to the IRGC forces stationed in the island. "We say emphatically and warn that these kinds of relations are not acceptable at all."

Elon Musk's SCINTILLATING missive receives a firestorm of positive feedback
[Blaze] Billionaire and expert Twitter troll Elon Musk commented on the state of Twitter, suggesting that the social media platform failed to provide the requisite level of free speech in any balanced fashion and, therefore, should probably be replaced by a better system.

Chad Prather, host of the "Chad Prather Show," explained that Musk's scintillating missive left the Twittersphere presuming he is toying with buying Twitter outright or perhaps launching his own social media platform. Twitter is well known for its habit of protecting the speech of those with Joseph Stalin's level of ethics while making it a priority to ban the accounts of people who are capable of identifying a man vs. a woman.

Musk's 17 million followers responded with a firestorm of mostly positive replies, which leaves the question of whether he will attempt to buy out Twitter and rebrand the bluebird? Or is this the parallel economy game?

If anyone can pull off a Twitter rival, that person is Elon Musk. And while conservatives do not align with the man on every issue, we need to remember that he's not a conservative. Instead, he holds some conservative views that speak to common sense.

Suppose Musk does create a new form of Twitter? Would the platform devolve the way Twitter has and become another 5-10-year failed social experiment?

"Perhaps going outdoors and soaking in the sunshine will be a better use of time than rebranding or replacing Twitter," Chad said.

(ISIS) have been repatriated from northeast Syria (Rojava), a Kurdish official told Rudaw English on Thursday.

Germany repatriated 37 nationals, ten children and 27 women, from Rojava’s Roj camp late Wednesday following an "extremely difficult operation," German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock announced on Thursday.

"The 27 children are victims of 'Islamic State,' and they have the right to a better future away from its deadly ideology, and to live in safety, as we wish for our own children," the minister was quoted in a statement by her office, noting that "the mothers have to take responsibility for their actions. Some of them were immediately taken into custody upon arrival in Germany."

She added that "the majority of the German children whose mothers are willing to return to Germany have been brought to safety. There are now only a few special cases for which we are continuing to work on individual solutions."

German federal police confirmed that several of the repatriated women - aged between 23 and 36 - have been arrested on suspicion of committing crimes, adding that others are being investigated, reported Deutsche Welle on Thursday.

Seven terrorists arrested in three governorates

The Iraqi Ministry of Defense announced that seven terrorists were arrested today, Thursday.

The Ministry said in a statement that the intelligence agency dismantled an ISIS terrorist cell consisting of four members, responsible for providing logistical support for ISIS gangs in Diyala and Saladin.

The statement noted that the arrest was the fruit of four-day teamwork, pointing out that the defendants confessed to their crimes.

Ohio Court of Appeals issues a decision in the Gibson’s Bakery v. Oberlin College case
[LegalInsurrection] On November 10, 2020, the Court heard oral argument on (1) the appeal by Oberlin College and Dean of Students Meredith Raimando seeking to overturn the compensatory and punitive damage awards totalling, after reduction under Ohio tort reform law, $25 million, plus over $6 million in attorney’s fees, bringing the judgment to over $32 million, and (2) the cross-appeal by Gibson’s Bakery and two members of the Gibson family (including the widow of the late David Gibson) seeking to restore the full $33 million punitive damages award, arguing the tort reform reduction was unconstitutional, which would add back about $15 million to the judgment.

One of the Judges who sat on oral argument, Julie Shafer, was not reelected on November 3, 2020, and was replaced by Judge Betty Sutton, who joined Judges Jennifer Hensal and Donna Carr.

A decision was just issued, written by Justice Carr:

"Appellants, Oberlin College and its Dean of Students, Meredith Raimondo (collectively “Oberlin” or individually “the college” or “Raimondo”), appeal from a judgment of the Lorain County Court of Common Pleas that entered judgment against them and awarded compensatory and punitive damages to Gibson Brothers, Inc., Allyn W. Gibson, and David R. Gibson1 (collectively “the Gibsons”). The Gibsons cross-appealed the trial court’s reduction of damages that the jury had originally awarded them. This Court affirms."
Summary: The appeals court ruled Oberlin College has to pay the bakery all the money.

#1  HALLELUJAH!

A sad note: "As satisfying as this must be to the Gibson family, it also must be bittersweet because the two lead plaintiffs and the patriarchs of the family did not live to see the appeals court verdict:
- David Gibson of Gibson’s Bakery has passed away. (November 16, 2019)
- “Grandpa” Allyn W. Gibson of Gibson’s Bakery Passes Away At Age 93 (February 14, 2022)

Fuck the Oberlin administrator-bastards. Fuck then and their lawyers fircwhat they did to these kind, decent, normal people:

"as David Gibson revealed when he announced his cancer diagnosis after the verdict, Oberlin College dragged out the case knowing David was terminally ill."

...Grew up a short drive from Oberlin, and even then (late 60s, early 70s) it was known as 'Moscow-On-Route-57'. The school has been living on its mid 19th century reputation for way too long, and may be about to hit something of a wall.

The school was originally intending to pay damages out of their endowment fund, and since it's just shy of one billion dollars, $33M USD would have effectively cost the school nothing. Trouble is that the alumni who contributed so much of that money are adamantly opposed to any of it going for the damages...which means it will come out of Oberlin's insurance. And that's going to cost them bigly.

There's also the fact that the College - faculty and students alike - hate the locals, and the locals return the favor. The locals are kind of a microcosm of the rest of the state: politically center-liberal, socially VERY conservative. Politics at the state level have been inching rightward for a while now, and if the Democrats do enough damage, I can see cities like Cleveland and Toledo digging in and saying 'enough'.

#7  I forget who that RINO governor or senator was from Ohio and, I think, made a half-a$$ attempt to run for president.

Also, there was/is a congressman who was all for impeaching Trump.

Almost makes me yearn for Dennis Kucinich.

The College, the staff, and its alumni have learned an important lesson today. Hate Speech, Lies, and organizing protests based on them costs Big Buck$

BTW: The College Demographics show that the enrolled student population at Oberlin College, is 60.4% White, and only 5.41% Black or African American. In short a White LIBERAL college.

NOTE: The former Dean of Students Meredith Raimondo is a White Female and is now VP of Student Affairs at Oglethorpe University in the Metro-Atlanta GA. area.

Just what Atlanta needs another transplanted Yankee Liberal. Coming down here to tell us how they did it up north to screw up everything...

NN,

I wish that was the lesson they learned. All Oberlin, its students, faculty, and administration know now is that Those Deplorable Hicks beyond the Quad are racist/unwoke/otherwise icky, and this just proves it.

#12  I am an Ohioan. My younger brother graduated from Oberlin; I went to a service academy. We have compared notes. Oberlin is a little isolated to be attractive to any non-hardcore liberals. I think there are several other equally liberal schools around the state that have better parties.

With respect to being like Florida, Ohio is a conglomeration of communities that either have Trump or BLM signs in the front yard. All the working class towns are solidly pro-Trump. The affluent towns tend to be liberal, but the majority is MAGA. The biggest difference is in leadership. Jordan is the exception not the rule. Dewine resembles Desantis in the same way that a jelly donut resembles a Porterhouse steak. I guess their last names start with D so they are alike in that regard

Governor John Kasich ran for president twice, DooDahMan, in 2000 and 2016. Before that he was a congressman for nearly two decades.

Mike DeWine is Ohio’s current governor. He’s conservative for a country club Republican. Or possibly he’s anti-Trump for a conservative Republican. His career covers all the bases: public prosecutor, congressman, lieutenant governor, senator, Ohio attorney general, now this.

#16  My answer to #4
Ohio is no Florida
SW Ohio Resident most of life.
Ohio Governor, Mike Dewine is a RINO who faked covid to avoid standing on stage with Trump during the Presidential campaign. He is for red flag laws, but signed CCW into law. He raised property tax significantly, increased gas tax for road improvement, is heavily involved in the First Energy Scandal that brought down the House Speaker.
Current canidates running for Governor are weak from both parties.
Lt. Governor John Husted is the capitol's pajama boy. Life long politician, like nails on chalkboard to listen to him speak.
A knowledgeable Columbus lobbyist acquaintance of mine suggests Dewine will be reelected and retire two years into his term, turning over the reigns to Husted, good ol' boy that he is.
The House and Senate are majority Republican and conservative but can be bribed.
Liberals run the big cities and the rest of the state is conservative.
it will be a long time before Ohio is like Florida.

Iraq
Al-Sadr withdraws from negotiations to form the government, Al-Maliki starts talks
[SHAFAQ] The leader of the Sadrist Movement, Moqtada Tater al-Sadr
...hereditary Iraqi holy man and leader of a political movement in Iraq. He had his hereditary rival al-Khoei assassinated shortly after the holy rival's appearance out of exile in 2003. Formerly an Iranian catspaw, lately he's gagged over some of their more outlandish antics, then went back to catspawry...
, announced this Thursday evening the withdrawal of the Sadrist bloc from negotiations to elect the president of the republic and form the next government, allowing the Shiite Coordination Framework to negotiate with the other political forces in this regard.

Al-Sadr said on Twitter that he thanks God "for winning the largest bloc, forming the largest alliance (Saving the Homeland), and nominating a prime minister acceptable to all."

"For Iraq not to remain without a government which will deteriorate the security, economic, and service conditions, I am giving (the third: the Framework) an opportunity to negotiate with all the blocs to form a national majority government, without the Sadrist bloc, in a period from the first day of Ramadan until the ninth of Shawwal (40 days)." He added.

Al-Sadr addressed the Sadrist representatives not to interfere with this issue "neither positively nor negatively."

Iraqi politicians failed for a third time on Wednesday to elect a head of state, further deepening a political crisis spurred by infighting following general elections five months ago.
After al-Sadr's statement, the State of Law Coalition said that its leader, Nuri al-Maliki, one of the main poles of the Coordination Framework, would hold talks with other political forces to pave the way for the formation of the next government.

The representative of the State of Law, Thaer Mukheef, told Shafaq News Agency, "The leader of the Sadrist movement has set 40 days for the Framework to form the government with the agreement with other parties."

He added, "There's a high probability that this process will change the political map, and I think that the Kurds may agree on one candidate for the presidency."

"We seek not to exclude anyone, and we hope that al-Sadr would participate in the government, and we will seek to communicate with him about this."

Iraqi politicians failed for a third time on Wednesday to elect a head of state, further deepening a political crisis spurred by infighting following general elections five months ago.

So far, Iraqi politicians have disagreed on a compromise candidate for the presidency, exacerbating a political vacuum that prevents the appointment of a prime minister.

A lack of a quorum, set by the Federal Supreme Court at two-thirds of the house's 329 members, held the vote for the third time since February.

The parliament presidium opted to convert the session to an ordinary session to discuss the lineups of the permanent parliamentary committees.

In a brief statement, the media bureau of the Iraqi parliament said that the parliament speaker, Mohammad al-Halboosi, inaugurated the sixth ordinary session without revealing the number of politicians who attended the session.

A source said that only 152 politicians showed up for the latest vote, and the vote for a new president was delisted from the session's agenda.

#5  would be interesting if Ukraine would tally its own losses

If the Ukraine totals are accurate, Russia has lost, in one month, more than 20% of their initial invasion force. Probably much more than 20% of their elite and special forces. Probably much more than 20% of their best equipment.

Google has chosen sides in the conflict

[ColonelCassad] A subscriber sent a new manual from YouTube, which is sent to the platform moderators in connection with the Russian special operation in Ukraine. It is specified in detail which content must be removed and which is removed from monetization.

There will be no full-scale blocking of war-related content. Anything that “goes beyond” will be blocked: the assertion that NATO is responsible for the conflict, Russia’s support, the idea of recreating the USSR by Russia, the letter “Z”, etc.

Example: the video was blocked with the wording “the video begins with the glorification of the “Z” symbol and the rest of it contains support for the war."

Videos will be removed from monetization, which, for example, talk about the genocide of Ukraine in the Donbass, Ukrainian biological weapons, denazification, the thesis that there is no conflict in Ukraine, etc.
What is shown are graphics which show part of the manual in English

12-foot alligator found in newly built Florida home ahead of open house
[NYPOST] Just when you thought Florida’s housing market couldn’t get any scarier.

Video taken at the residence in Babcock Ranch — where houses fetch upwards of $1.5 million apiece — show two men straining to yank the gator out of the home with a rope.

The agitated reptile can be seen rolling over several times during the struggle before finally being removed.

Project manager Matthew Goodwin told McClatchy News that the alligator was likely looking for some indoor warmth during a stretch of cold weather and became trapped.

Goodwin said the reptile made sure to sample every nook and cranny in the home before settling on the master bedroom.

"He went into every room and his mark," Goodwin said, according to the outlet.

Biden pick for Labor post defeated in Senate -- with three Dems opposing
[NYPOST] President Biden’s nominee for a key position in the Labor Department was rejected by the Senate on Wednesday — with three Democrats joining all 50 Republicans to vote against the pick.

The vote to advance David Weil’s nomination to head up the Labor Department’s Wage and Hour Division failed 53-47 as Sens. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly of Arizona opposed the nomination.

The vote to end debate on the nomination only needed a simple majority to pass.

Weil, who held the same position in the B.O. regime, faced stiff opposition from Senate Republicans, who claimed he would impose overly burdensome regulations affecting small businesses and independent contractors. Business groups had also expressed vehement opposition to Weil, a dean at Brandeis University, for his belief that corporations like McDonald’s should be liable for actions by franchisees.

Blinken stumps for Abraham Accords while in Algeria
Colour me shocked.
[IsraelTimes] US Secretary of State Antony Blinken is asked about the absence of Algeria at the Negev summit earlier this week during a presser at the end of his visit to the North African nation and uses the opportunity to highlight the benefits of joining the Abraham Accords for countries who have not yet joined.

He acknowledges that normalizing relations with Israel is a decision that each country has to make on its own, while adding that the Negev summit provided the latest example of what they have to gain.

"This is going to have real, practical benefits for the people in the countries participating in that effort who have normalized their relations with Israel," Blinken said. "We’re seeing that take life in terms of connections that have grown very rapidly between people, between businesses, between students, tourists... even [during] COVID."

"My bet is that as other countries that are not part of that process see this take shape, they will conclude that this is something they want to be a part of... but, of course, it’s on us to demonstrate that it really works and that it produces results. I believe that it will," he adds.

Ukrainian president says defense is at a 'turning point'
[NYPOST] The Ukrainian president said his country’s defense against the Russian invasion is at a "turning point" and again pressed the United States for more help, hours after the Kremlin’s forces reneged on a pledge to scale back some of their operations.

Russian bombardment of areas around Kyiv and the northern city of Chernihiv and intensified attacks elsewhere in the country further undermined hopes for progress toward ending the brutal war. Talks between Ukraine and Russia were set to resume Friday by video, according to the head of the Ukrainian delegation, David Arakhamia.

A delegation of Ukrainian politicians visited Washington on Wednesday to push for more U.S. assistance, saying their nation needs more military equipment, more financial help and tougher sanctions against Russia.

"We need to kick Russian soldiers off our land, and for that we need all, all possible weapons," Ukrainian parliament member Anastasia Radina said at a news conference at the Ukrainian Embassy.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made the case directly to U.S. President Joe The Big Guy Biden

"If we really are fighting for freedom and in defense of democracy together, then we have a right to demand help in this difficult turning point. Tanks, aircraft, artillery systems. Freedom should be armed no worse than tyranny," Zelensky said in his nightly video address to the nation, which he delivered standing in the dark outside the dimly lit presidential offices in Kyiv. He thanked the U.S. for an additional $500 million in aid that was announced Wednesday.

SaharaReporters had earlier reported how button men on Wednesday night stormed the estate and whisked away many residents of the estate.

Also, a flyer tagged "Pray for Low Cost, Zaria", sighted by SaharaReporters, reads, "Low Cost Area in Zaria of Kaduna State is under attacks by bandidos right now. Gunmen raided low cost housing estate in Zaria Wednesday night and kidnapped an unspecified number of persons."

Dozens killed and wounded in Sudan's Darfur: Local leader
[AlAhram] Heavy festivities between rival groups in Sudan's Darfur have left several people dead, with one local leader on Thursday reporting some 30 had been killed in the latest ethnic violence.

Fresh fighting broke out on Tuesday between the Fallata people and an Arab tribe in villages outside Nyala, the capital of South Darfur state, witnesses said.

"The fighting has continued until Thursday, and has so far killed some 30 people and maimed dozens," a leader from the Fallata said, requesting anonymity.

One resident of South Darfur, Mohammed al-Fatteh, said fighting erupted after an Arab leader was killed.

A leader from an Arab group also said that the fighting continued on Thursday, reporting that there were "multiple killings and maimed."

Sudan's western restive Darfur region was ravaged by a bitter a civil war that erupted in 2003. The conflict pitted ethnic minority rebels who complained of discrimination against the Arab-dominated government of then-president Omar al-Bashir
...Former President-for-Life of Sudan He came to power in 1989 when he, as a brigadier in the Sudanese army, led a group of officers in a bloodless military coup that ousted the government of Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi and eventually appointed himself head cheese. He fell out with his Islamic mentor, Hasan al-Turabi, tried to impose shariah on the Christian and animist south, resulting in its secessesion, and attempted to Arabize Darfur by unleashing the barbaric Janjaweed on it. Sudan's potential prosperity has been pissed away in warfare that has left as many as 400,000 people dead and 2.5 million displaced. Hee was overthrown by popular consent in 2019. Omar has been indicted for genocide by the International Criminal Court but nothing is expected to come of it...
Khartoum responded by unleashing the Janjaweed, mainly recruited from Arab pastoralist tribes, who were blamed for atrocities including murder, rape, looting and burning villages.

The scorched-earth campaign left 300,000 people dead and displaced 2.5 million, according to the United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
The main conflict has subsided over the years, but the region remains awash with weapons and deadly festivities often erupt over access to pasture or water.
Or someone stepped on someone else’s cousin’s shadow. Really, it’s what they do in that part of the world when they are not otherwise occupied.
Earlier this month, separate festivities broke out among herders and farmers in the rugged mountainous region of Jebel Moon in West Darfur, leaving at least 35 people killed. Scores of people have been killed and hundreds of houses torched in several bouts of violence in Jebel Moon, as well as elsewhere in Darfur in recent months, the United Nations and medics say.

The violence has reflected a broader security breakdown in Darfur following last year's military takeover led by army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, that derailed a transition to full civilian rule.

Biden administration to release 1M barrels of oil daily from US reserves
[FoxBusinessNews] The national average price of gas is about 62 cents higher than a month ago

The Biden administration will release 1 million barrels of oil each day for the next six months from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum reserve in an effort to combat soaring gasoline prices.

Biden formally announced the move at a White House event Thursday afternoon, saying that his plan would release around 180 million additional barrels from the reserve. That would leave the already-depleted SPR down to around 388 million barrels, the lowest level since March 1984.

The White House said ahead of the president's remarks that "This record release will provide a historic amount of supply to serve as a bridge until the end of the year when domestic production ramps up."

During his speech, Biden also called on Congress to force oil companies to pay fees for unused leases, accusing energy producers of "hoarding" wells on federal lands. He said that companies "sitting on unused leases and idle wells will either have to start producing or pay the price for their inaction."
According to the US Energy Information Administration, in 2020, U.S. petroleum consumption averaged about 18.12 million barrels per day.

-Great Cultural Revolution
Why Disney doesn't care what parents think...
[Frontpage] Marvel's movie sausage factory has scored over $25 billion worldwide.

Disney's theme parks are still profitable, in the billions, but they're one of the least profitable elements of the Mouse Empire. (Forget Mickey and Donald, even Disney may not be able to bribe enough D.C. politicians to hang on to the IP rights.)

Disney still cashes in by exploiting kids, but, much like Marvel and DC, they've long since moved on to adults and the virtue signaling that comes with that.

Adult immaturity is much more profitable than catering to kids and while Disney isn't giving up on cashing in on kids, its business model is acquiring and developing intellectual properties or IP that an older audience is deeply invested in. Adult fandom instead of kid fandom. Is that a smart business move?

$25 billion. Hard to argue with that. And that's not counting licensing and all the rest.

That means going woke and super-woke.

Even when it comes to theme parks, the Disney Adults are the 'whales' who spend a lot of the money and they tend to be lefties. Disney had already begun to shift to accommodate its weirdo base on sociosexual issues. That meant caring a lot less about building a magical wonderland for kids and more about catering to men and women in their thirties who still want to pretend they're kids.

What you're seeing is the end result of that policy.

#5  Legally the prosecutor may be right. K was a Saudi citizen who entered the embassy or consulate of his own accord. That place is officially Saudi territory. He was apparently assaulted there. What jurisdiction does Turkey have for trying someone for a crime allegedly performed by Saudis whose vitim was a Saudi, on Saudi territory?
Actually K had been exiled from Saudi Arabia and was not to return to it under penalty of death.
He returned, sort of, and was apparently put to death. It is not clear that this action broke Saudi law.
Enemies of the US and/or Saudi Arabia made a big fuss about this to harm relations and to help the

Zelenskyy recalls ambassadors to Morocco, Georgia
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has recalled Kyiv’s ambassadors to Morocco and Georgia, saying they did not do enough to get arms for Ukraine or get these countries to institute sanctions against Russia.

"There are those who work so that Ukraine can defend itself and fight for its future and there are those who waste their time clinging to their posts. I have signed a first decree to recall such a person, the ambassador to Morocco," Zelenskyy said in a video message Wednesday.

"We have also recalled the ambassador to Georgia," he added.

Kyiv’s envoy to Georgia, Igor Dolgov, had been called for consultations earlier this month after Tbilisi refused to approve sanctions against Russia.

Georgia had also blocked volunteer fighters from the Caucasus country to go to Ukraine.

"With all respect, there are no arms, no sanctions, no restrictions on Russian business. Please find another job," Zelenskyy said.

Bernie Sanders' Ukraine War Tax: 95% tax on ‘windfall profits’! Boynie says it's a revival of WWII tax on ‘corporate greed’
In which the honourable senator from the little state of Vermont postures for the crazy left wing of the Democratic party, because there is no way that travesty will garner enough votes to pass out of committee.
[CommonDreams] U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Friday unveiled the Ending Corporate Greed Act, which aims to end corporate price gouging in the midst of multiple global crises by imposing a 95% tax on the windfall profits of major companies.

"The working class cannot bear the brunt of this economic crisis, while corporate CEOs, wealthy shareholders, and the billionaire class make out like bandits."
The bill—spearheaded by Sanders (I-Vt.), Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.), and Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-N.Y.)—is inspired by previous windfall profits tax plans implemented during World Wars I and II as well as the Korean War. During WWII, Sanders' office noted, "the tax rate reached as high as 95%, which ensured that companies could not profiteer off the war.".

The Senate Budget Committee chair argued that "we cannot allow Big Oil companies and other large, profitable corporations to continue to use the war in Ukraine, the Covid-19 pandemic, and the specter of inflation to make obscene profits by price gouging Americans at the gas pump, the grocery store, or any other sector of our economy."

In addition to the existing federal tax rate—which congressional Republicans cut from 35% to 21% under former President Donald Trump—Sanders' bill would establish a 95% tax on a company's profits that exceed its average profit level for 2015-19, adjusted for inflation.

The new tax would only apply only to companies with $500 million or more in annual revenue and would be limited to 75% of income per year. Sanders' office estimates that the temporary emergency measure, which would only apply in 2022-24, "coud raise an estimated $400 billion in one year from 30 of the largest corporate profiteers alone."

'Harris' repeated rhetorical gaffes don't just make her look bad - they undermine American diplomacy': Pompeo's ex-speechwriter criticizes Kamala after another bizarre speech on the COVID response in Jamaica
[MAIL] Kamala Harris is facing increased criticism for continued gaffes and inappropriate laughter during public appearances, with one former Trump-era speech writer saying her rhetoric 'undermines American diplomacy' on the world stage.

'America's allies and partners expect our leaders to speak with coherence and clarity on issues that matter to them,' former speechwriter for ex-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo David Wilezol told DailyMail.com in a statement.

'Harris' repeated rhetorical gaffes don't just make her look bad – they undermine American diplomacy,' added Wilezol, founder and president of the ghostwriting firm Seventh Floor Strategies.

During a meeting Wednesday afternoon, the vice president held a bilateral meeting with Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness to discuss the COVID response on the island. In a speech surrounding the meeting, Harris compounded her communication woes by delivering a bit of word salad.

'We also recognized, just as it has been in the United States, for Jamaica, one of the issues that has been presented as an issue that is economic in the way its impact has been the pandemic,' Harris said.

She continued the confusing speech by saying: 'So to that end, we are announcing today also that we will assist Jamaica in COVID recovery by assisting in terms of the recovery efforts in Jamaica that have been essential to I believe what is necessary to strengthen not only the issue of public health, but also the economy.'

Dr. Jonathan Bronitsky, who served as chief speechwriter to then-Attorney General Bill Barr said of the remarks: 'An outside observer can only speculate about the reasons for the declining lucidity of Kamala Harris's extemporaneous remarks––maybe she's distracted, nervous, underprepared, or perhaps some combination of the above.'

'However, what is clear is that her blundering at the podium, combined with Joe Biden's pattern of peculiar behavior and relentless bloopers, is serving only to further fuel fearful suspicion both at home and abroad that the Oval Office is without a chief,' he continued.

Vice President Kamala Harris is yet again facing criticism for gaffes and word salad during public appearances after appearing alongside Jamaica's Prime Minister Andrew Holness on Wednesday to discuss the U.S. helping in the island's COVID recovery

#1  Strangely enough, I am actually on Harris' side on this one.

'America's allies and partners expect our leaders to speak with coherence and clarity on issues that matter to them,'

The fewer 'allies' and 'partners' we have, the better off we'll be. Ever since we got into the empire business after 1945, things have gotten worse for us. We start wars we don't understand and don't know how to win. Just look at all the people ready to jump in on the side of literal Nazis in Ukraine.

The only winning move is not to play.

The Division 25 led by Suhail al-Hassan, Known as "Tiger", is the major fighting group in the Russian-air-backed government’s battles in northwestern Syria.

These military drills are an attempt by Russia to send clear messages to the international community that Syrian military Divisions of the "regime’s army" are on standby to fight alongside Russians in the Russian-Ukrainian war in the event of escalating fighting, according to SOHR.

The Russian Sputnik news agency cited sources as saying that the "Tiger conducted advanced military drills for the third consecutive day in areas in Idlib for airdrops by members the Division 25 Special Missions."

The "Division 25 special operations", which was formed in 2013, spreads on contested front-lines in the Syrian Desert as well as Idlib fronts.

Train Attack: Nigerian Military, Others Know Terrorists’ Hideouts, Listen To Them, Know Their Plans, But Refuse To Bomb Them – El-Rufai
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

The Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has alleged that the Nigerian military knows the location of bandidos in his state but has refused to bomb their hideout.

This comes after a Kaduna-bound train was attacked by holy warriors on Monday evening with eight persons confirmed dead and 26 injured.

Some of the passengers were also kidnapped.

According to Punch, E-Rufai, who expressed sadness and frustration over the recent train attack, said; "We have enough intelligence for us to take action. The Air Force undertakes enough ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance); and the DSS (Department of State Services) has informants all over the place.

"We know what they (terrorists) are planning. We get the reports. The problem is for the agencies to take action. Don’t wait until they attack before you respond. The Army should go after their enclaves to wipe them out. Let the Air Force bomb them.

"Before, they were categorised as bandidos and if you bombed them, you would have issues with human rights
One man's rights are another man's existential threat.
organizations and international criminal courts and so on. But, now that they have been declared holy warriors by the court, they can be legally killed without any consequences from international human rights organizations."

He described Kaduna as currently being in a ’State of War’.

"We know where their camps are, we know where they are; the SSS (State Security Service, also called DSS) have their phone numbers, they listen to them, and they give me the report. We know what they are planning. We shouldn’t be waiting for them to attack; why can’t we go after them?"

Europe
NATO: Our International Welfare Queens
[MISES] American policy makers have shown a surprising amount of sanity so far in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. While some war enthusiasts among the American punditry have certainly been agitating for World War III, the leadership in both the White House and Congress has repeatedly and straightforwardly refused most calls to escalate the conflict.

Unfortunately, a number of foreign parliaments among the US's NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization) "partners" have not been nearly as hesitant to escalate matters. Among the most reckless on this issue have been lawmakers from a number of Eastern European states. For example, policymakers in the Baltics in recent weeks have called for a no-fly zone in Ukraine. Newsweek reported this month:
Lithuania's parliament unanimously approved a resolution calling for a no-fly zone over Ukraine—joining other NATO members Estonia and Slovenia in the appeal. Rihards Kols, chairman of the Latvian parliament's foreign affairs committee, also announced [on March 17] his country is calling for such a zone.

But here's the problem: a so-called no-fly zone would be a de facto declaration of war on Russia by NATO. Moreover, when we say "by NATO," we mostly mean "by the United States."

At around the same time, the Polish regime began its own scheme to escalate the war and bring the US into direct conflict with Moscow. Warsaw, apparently without consulting Washington, hatched a plan to send fighter jets to Ukraine via US military bases and then have the US "backfill" Poland's air force with F-16s. This would have constituted a significant escalation as well, and was fortunately quashed by the White House.

This sort of behavior that free rides on the American taxpayer has become an identifiable pattern with countries that see themselves as benefiting enormously from US military spending but who contribute next to nothing to US security or even to the NATO alliance.

But I admit to being hopelessly bourgeois, and therefore suspicious of the purpose of welfare spending of all sorts.

North Korea faked launch of 'monster' missile, says Seoul
[DW] South Korea's defense ministry has said that North Korea
...hereditary Communist monarchy distinguished by its truculence and periodic acts of violence. Distinguishing features include Songun (Army First) policy, which involves feeding the army before anyone but the Dear Leadership, and Juche, which is Kim Jong Il's personal interpretation of Marxism-Leninism, which he told everybody was brilliant. In 1950 the industrialized North invaded agrarian South Korea. Twenty-one countries of the United Nations eventually contributed to the UN force opposing the invasion, with the United States providing around 90% of the military personnel. Seventy years later the economic results are in and it doesn't look good for Juche...
fired an existing intercontinental ballistic missile and not a new one in last week's test launch.

South Korea has negated North Korea's claim that it launched what experts have dubbed its "monster missile" last week.

South Korea's military on Wednesday accused the North of firing a less-powerful existing weapon instead of a newly developed intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) as Pyongyang had claimed.

Last Thursday, North Korea said it had test fired a Hwasong-17 missile — its longest-range ICBM — in the most significant weapons test in years.

State media in Pyongyang had called the launch "a historical event.''

SEOUL DISMISSES PYONGYANG LAUNCH CLAIMS
Seoul's military has said that, in reality, it was the same ICBM North Korea launched in 2017.

"US and South Korean intelligence has determined that what was fired on March 24 was a Hwasong-15," a defense ministry official told news agency AFP.

South Korea's Defense Ministry said it told a parliamentary committee that the details of Thursday's launch, including the weapon's speed, combustion and stage separation, were similar to those of the Hwasong-15, not the Hwasong-17.

The ministry said the alleged false announcement was likely an attempt by Pyongyang to compensate for a failed Hwasong-17 launch earlier this month.

Acccording to accounts from South Korea, the missile launched from the North's capital region on March 16 went kaboom! soon after lift off, with residents of Pyongyang witnessing the mid-air blast.

North Korea did not make any comments on the failed launch and state media is yet to respond to Wednesday's report from South Korean defense chiefs.

Since the beginning of the year, North Korea has conducted a flurry of missile tests in an apparent attempt to modernize its military arsenal and increase pressure on the United States amid stalled nuclear talks between the two countries.

Putin threatens to turn off Europe's gas supplies TOMORROW if countries refuse to pay in roubles
[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Vladimir Putin
...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances...
today threatened to turn off Europe's gas supplies from tomorrow if countries refuse to pay in roubles.

The Russian President, announcing a decree in televised remarks, said foreign buyers would have to 'open rouble accounts in Russian banks' which can be used to pay for 'gas delivered starting from tomorrow'.

'If such payments are not made, we will consider this a default on the part of buyers, with all the ensuing consequences. Nobody sells us anything for free, and we are not going to do charity either - that is, existing contracts will be stopped,' he said.

The move has been seen as a bid to bolster the Russian currency and economy, hit by Western sanctions, in order to fund the war. But Western companies and governments have rejected the move as a breach of existing contracts, which are set in euros or dollars.

The European Union
...the successor to the Holy Roman Empire, only without the Hapsburgs and the nifty uniforms and the dancing...
relies on Russia for 40 per cent of its gas consumption, costing the bloc £340million (€400million) a day in contracts which are mostly settled in euros or dollars. According to Gazprom, 58 per cent of its sales of natural gas to Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and other countries as of January 27 were settled in euros. US dollars accounted for about 39 per cent of gross sales and sterling around three per cent.

A Kremlin decree published today sets out that contracts will be stopped if buyers do not sign up to the new conditions, including opening rouble accounts in Russian banks. The buyers can still pay in foreign currency and authorise the bank to sell that for roubles, which are placed in the second account, where the gas is formally purchased.

German Economy Minister Robert Habeck rejected Putin's the demands as an unacceptable breach of contract, adding that the manoeuvre amounted to 'blackmail' and that he had not yet seen a new decree signed by Putin mandating gas payments in roubles.

Separately, Chancellor Olaf Scholz said German companies would continue to pay for Russian gas using euros as stipulated in contracts. 'By all means, it remains the case that companies want, can and will pay in euros,' he told a joint news conference with his Austrian counterpart Karl Nehammer.

A spokesperson for British Prime Minister Boris Johnson
...pro-Brexit British prime minister, succeeding no-Brexit Theresa May. BoJo is noted as much for his sparkling personality and his hair as for his Conservative policies....
said that companies do not plan to pay for Russian gas in roubles, adding that the government was monitoring the implications for the European market of President Putin's demand.

Asked if there were any circumstances in which Britannia would pay in roubles for Russian gas, the front man said 'that is not something we will be looking to do,' adding that Putin's latest decrees show 'the impact that our sanctions are having on the Russian economy'.

'There are no gas pipes directly linking the UK with Russia, our imports from Russia made up less than four per cent of total UK gas supply in 2021 so we are obviously less reliant on it than many of our European partners,' the spokesperson added.

#3  It's just economics, bro. Russia is rolling in money now -- look at the current account surplus. It's expected to DOUBLE this year.

$200-240 billion easily pays for the war and then some. From Reuters this morning:

"Analysing tanker traffic data, the Institute of International Finance (IIF) estimates Russia's March oil export earnings will total $12.3 billion - up sharply on March 2021 as energy prices soar.

Collapsing imports could see Russia's current account surplus double from 2021 to $200-$240 billion this year, the IIF also estimates.

#4  The war has been costing Russia about $500 million per day -- less now that they're relaxing the pressure on the north and focusing on mopping up what remains to be done to complete their control of the coastline in the south and east.

If the Russian Army is now spending $300-350 million per day, then Russia's increased current account surplus would allow them to easily fund the war for the rest of 2022.

#10  It's called correspondent banking, it's been around for over a hundred years. India and Russia will trade with each other using the rupee-rouble trading mechanism. They're selecting the bank now - India easily got around the US sanctions to buy oil from Iran using UCO Bank. There's another precedent, India's purchase of Russian air defence systems.

#11  India, China, OPEC along with Europe's importers of Russian gas will render the sanctions useless.

The sanctions are just the US elephant trampling everything and shitting up the place again. This time the non western nations will go their own way and create their own non-dollar trading mechanisms... end of an era

#12  Russia’s new customers are not as free spending as the old ones, and Russia is somewhat constrained by Western sanctions, so the new contracts will be less profitable than the old ones.

Russia would have a much smaller surplus if the government actually put in good roads and properly equipped their army, though overall they are to be congratulated on being much more sensible about spending than the Americans have been since Newt Gingrich retired. President Trump was keen to balance the budget, but unfortunately the senior Republicans in Congress at the time were not. It will be very interesting to see what happens on that front if the Republicans get veto-proof majorities in both Houses of Congress in November, or even just simple majorities.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
The state of security chaos continues in the areas of Sere Kaniye and Tel Abyad
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Ottoman Turkish-held areas of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and Tel-Abyad, northeast Syria, witnessed a state of security chaos and violations that claimed the lives of civilians, in addition to cases of killing, the bulldozing of houses and rape during the fourth week of March.

Ottoman Turkish forces and opposition factions bombed the villages of Sayda, Mu’allaq, in addition to the vicinity of the M4 highway in the countryside of Ain Issa town, north of Raqqa, twice during the past week, local sources told North Press.

The shelling that targeted that area with dozens of artillery shells on the 25 and 30 of this March, caused large material damage to private and public property.

Meanwhile,
...back at the fist fight, Jake ducked another roundhouse, then parried with his left, then with his right, finally with his chin...
the Ottoman Turkish forces bombed several villages in the countryside of Zarkan (Abu Rasin) north of Hasakah, on March 27, which displaced residents from their villages.

It is worth noting that the Ottoman Turkish forces and opposition factions have controlled the city of Sere Kaniye and its countryside in addition to Tel-Abyad, since 2019 following an invasion that displaced about 300 thousand of the indigenous population, according to human rights
...which often include carefully measured allowances of freedom at the convenience of the state...
reports.

CONFLICT AND INSECURITY
The state of security chaos continues in the areas of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) and Tel-Abyad.

On March 18, well-informed sources told North Press that two leaders of Ottoman Turkish-backed armed factions were killed in a landmine went kaboom! near the village of Ranin in the countryside of Tel-Abyad.

The two leaders were Abu Ali al-Dar’awi of Levant Front ( al-Jabha al-Shamiya) faction, who led the Suluk area, and Yasin al-Hamad of al-Majd Corps, according to the source.

Yesterday, Wednesday, social media reported the outbreak of heavy festivities between the Ottoman Turkish-backed Hamzat and 20th Division factions, in the Church neighborhood in the center of Sere Kaniye.

According to the information circulated, the festivities, the causes of which were not known, resulted in deaths and injuries, without confirming the number.

Infighting and liquidation among the Ottoman Turkish-backed armed factions in their areas of control in northeast Syria have been increasing as a result of the disputes over the places of control and the seizure of property.

BULLDOZING CIVILIAN HOUSES AND ORCHARDS
Amid the escalating disputes between the factions, local media outlets reported that the Ottoman Turkish forces and the opposition factions destroyed the house of a displaced civilian named Abdulrazzaq al-Omar from the village of Talil al- Dala’ in the Tel- Abyad countryside.

Cross-checked sources previously reported to North Press that a Ottoman Turkish-backed opposition faction bulldozed several houses in Ain Hisan village south of the Ottoman Turkish-controlled Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain).

Mazlom Hamo Kor, one of the owners of the houses that were bulldozed in the village, said that an armed faction bulldozed 12 houses in Abu Mazloum’s farm, in the village owned by his family.

In the same context, the Sere Kaniye IDPs Committee posted on its Facebook account that al-Hamzah Division bulldozed the houses, at the behest of the Ottoman Turkish state.

The committee indicated that the aim of bulldozing houses and uprooting trees is to establish military headquarters for the Ottoman Turkish army and armed factions.

Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] A total of 1,967 residents of Dagestan are on the wanted list as members of international terrorist organizations, Abdurashid Magomedov, the republic's interior minister, said at a session of the People's Assembly.
Good to know. If only they would admit which specific organizations, that would be even more helpful.
"Last year, 104 Dagestanis who left for Syria to participate in international terrorist organizations were put on the wanted list, and 23 were detained upon their return from there. In total, there are currently 1,967 people on the wanted list of Dagestanis who took part in terrorist organizations abroad, " quoted the TASS minister.

Over the past year, the number of registered crimes of a terrorist nature in the republic has decreased by almost a third and amounted to 493 cases, while about 85% of such crimes were committed outside of Russia. "These are criminal cases initiated against citizens of Dagestan in the course of operational and other activities, their participation in the period 2015-2016 as part of armed gangs in the territories of Syria and Iraq was revealed. Currently, according to operational data, this category of persons has moved to the northern regions of Uzbekistan, " said Abdurashid Magomedov.

In 2021, 217 criminal cases were initiated in Dagestan against residents of the republic who had previously left for Syria to participate in illegal armed groups, Chernovik reported today with reference to the report of the minister.

114 people were put on the international wanted list, 23 were detained after their return. Among those wanted are those who went to Syria back in 2013-2016. Also, seven channels for the supply of firearms to the region, including from Ukraine, were blocked, nine workshops for the manufacture and conversion of civilian weapons into a military analogue were liquidated, 458 firearms were seized from illegal circulation, the publication reported.

The report of Police Lieutenant General Abdurashid Magomedov was also published today on the website of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Dagestan.

The police eliminated six sleeping terrorist cells in Makhachkala, Derbent and Buynaksk regions, as well as in the penal colony of the Federal Penitentiary Service. In the republic, six accomplices of illegal armed groups were forced to confess, 53 members of the underground and two members of international terrorist organizations in Syria were detained. During the provision of armed resistance, four people were liquidated, the report said.

"[A total of]246 firearms, 15 IEDs, 96 grenades, over 22,700 rounds of ammunition, other ammunition and explosives were seized from the terrorists' arsenal," the minister's report said.

In the republic, 230 Internet users were brought to administrative responsibility for posting extremist materials in public access, as well as calls for participation in unauthorized mass actions. Roskomnadzor has blocked 1,096 websites and pages on the Internet that contain materials of an extremist nature, the agency reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" also wrote that, according to investigators, a 38-year-old resident of Izberbash joined the ranks of the international religious association "Nurcular"
...it has millions of followers around the globe, especially in Turkey, and has been banned in Russia since 2008. They want a Turkic caliphate comprising those regions of the Middle East, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Russia's North Caucasus and Volga regions...

Russian troops withdrawn from Chernobyl with 'acute radiation sickness'
[NYPOST] Several hundred Russian troops have been withdrawn from the Chernobyl nuclear facility in Ukraine after suffering from "acute radiation sickness" and are being treated in Belarus, according to reports.

The Pentagon confirmed earlier that the Russian forces began to pull out from the defunct facility, which was taken on the first day of the invasion, after a pledge by the Kremlin to scale back its offensive.

But an employee at the Public Council at the State Agency of Ukraine for Exclusion Zone management said the soldiers had fled while "irradiated" and bused to a medical facility in Gomel, Belarus, the Mirror reported.

"Another batch of irradiated bully boyz who seized the Chernobyl zone was brought to the Belarusian Radiation Medicine Center in Gomel today," Yaroslav Yemelianenko wrote on Facebook.

"Have you dug trenches in the Red Forest, b—hes? Now live the rest of your short life with this. There are rules for handling this area. They are mandatory because radiation is physics — it works regardless of status or shoulder ranks," he wrote.

"With minimal intelligence in command or soldiers, these consequences could have been avoided," Yemelianenko added.

Word about the sickness came soon after Ukrainian officials claimed that Russian troops "looted and destroyed" a specialist laboratory containing "highly active" radioactive samples from the decommissioned nuclear plant.

The lab contained "highly active samples and samples of radionuclides that are now in the hands of the enemy," the stage agency said in a Facebook post, referring to unstable atoms that release radiation.

The Ukrainian agency had said it hoped Russian troops "will harm [themselves] and not the civilized world."

President Volodymyr Zelensky has accused Russia of using the exclusion zone around Chernobyl to prepare new attacks.

A US official told Agence La Belle France-Presse this week that Russian troops were "walking away from the Chernobyl facility and moving into Belarus. Chernobyl is (an) area where they are beginning to reposition some of their troops — leaving, walking away from the Chernobyl facility and moving into Belarus.

"We think that they are leaving. I can’t tell you that they’re all gone," the official added.

Briefly about Ukraine. 03/31/2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

[ColonelCassad] 1. Mariupol.
Street fighting. The ring continues to shrink, but the task of completely blocking Azovstal has not yet been solved. The enemy also holds a piece of the Left-Berzhny region, the western Primorsky part of the city, the port and the factory of Ilyich. Over the past 2 days, the wounded have been evacuated from the port. Out of 6 Mi-8s and 1 Mi-24, 3 Mi-8s were shot down. The rest of the vehicles were able to deliver a certain amount of cargo to Mariupol and take out up to 30 wounded.

The remnants of the enemy forces in Mariupol hysterically demand a deblockade, stating that without it, the defeat in Mariupol will be the greatest shame of Ukraine.

2. Marinka.
A little progress in the village itself. Fights in the slag heap area. Fighting also continues south of Maryinka in the area of Novomikhailovka and Slavny.

3. Ugledar.
Fighting continues north of Zolotaya Niva and in the area of Velikaya Novoselka. So far, it has not been possible to get to the Maryinka-Kurakhovo highway.

4. Zaporozhye.
On the line Kamenskoye-Orekhov-Gulyaipole without changes. To the east of Gulyaipol, fighting was noted in the region of Malinovka and settlements to the east.

5. Nikolaev.
Attempts to be active in this direction cost the Armed Forces dearly, and, having suffered heavy losses, the enemy again went on the defensive. The RF Armed Forces continue to accumulate forces in the Kherson region. To the north, near Krivoy Rog and Nikopol, no significant changes were noted.

6. LPR.
Fighting continued in Popasnaya, the southern part of Rubizhne and on the outskirts of Severodonetsk. In general, there are no major developments.

7. Avdievka.
Avdievka itself is unchanged. To the north, the troops managed to break through the defenses at Novobakhmutovka and start fighting for the capture of the village, which should help the efforts associated with cutting the rocky road at Novobakhmutovka and Novoselka-2, as well as ensure advancement through Troitskoye to New York and further to Dzerzhinsk.

8. Izyum.
Limited fighting south and southeast of Izyum. Both sides are actively pulling up reserves in this direction, expecting the imminent start of active operations by the grouping of the RF Armed Forces in the Kharkov-Izyum direction. The enemy has created certain reserves in the Artemovsk area, and is also preparing Slavyansk and Kramatorsk for defense. There is also an accumulation of forces in the Pavlograd region, which will act as a strategic reserve in the upcoming battle. Kharkov - battles of local importance.

9. Sumy-Chernihiv.
There is a transfer of significant contingents of the RF Armed Forces to the east. It is not yet clear for what purposes they will be used - for the assault on Sumy or for moving to Akhtyrka and further to Kharkov. There is also the option of transferring part of the forces to the Kharkov-Izyum direction. The pressure on Brovary is currently decreasing. In Chernihiv - no significant changes.

10. Kyiv.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine declare that they were able to restore control over the city of Irpen, but at the same time confirm that Bucha, Vorzel and Gostomel are under the RF Armed Forces. Again they came up with a victory about the capture of Vyshgorod, which was already controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the Pentagon and the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the RF Armed Forces are on the defensive here, and part of the forces are being transferred through Belarus to Kharkov and Izyum.

In general, despite the active battles in different directions, we are now witnessing a kind of operational pause, which is associated with the need to regroup troops and pull up reserves. The main events will soon unfold in Left-Bank Ukraine, where the RF Armed Forces will strive to defeat the main grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Also, I would not rule out operations in the Nikolaev direction.

Iraqi forces seized explosive devices and destroyed dens

The Iraqi Security Media Cell revealed the "Strong Will" operation's final results against ISIS in the governorates of Nineveh, Saladin, and Al-Anbar.

In a statement, the Cell said that the security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces destroyed 19 dens and six tunnels and seized six booby-trapped houses, 25 explosive devices, 250 detonators, four Katyusha rockets, and two RBG7, 12 kg of C4, various medical supplies and other materials.

"The security forces would launch other operations to pursue the terrorists," the statement added.

On Tuesday, the Iraqi security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) carried out large-scale operations in three governorates against ISIS members this morning.

In a statement, the PMF media said that the Nineveh-Saladin- Al-Anbar Operations Commands, affiliated with the Joint Operations Command of the Ministries of Defense and Interior and the Air Force Command and Army Aviation, launched security operations to "eliminate terrorist groups and destroy their hideouts in Al-Jazeera and the areas among the governorates of Nineveh, Saladin, and Al-Anbar."

For its part, the Joint Operations Command, the highest authority in the Iraqi army, said that the commanders of the operations of Al-Jazeera, Saladin, and West Nineveh, in collaboration with the Popular Mobilization Units, the Nineveh, Saladin, and West Anbar axes, and the Air Forces, carried out an overall security operation (Strong Will) in the southern Al-Hader and Al-Jazeera regions in the north of the Euphrates and the areas west of Wadi Tharthar.

The Al-Anbar Operations Command said it had launched the "Lions of the Desert" Operation, which targets areas north of the Al-Qaim district towards the Al-Jazeera desert in Mosul.

"Our forces carried out this morning a security operation from three main axes, in partnership with the Iraqi army and the army's aviation," Qassem Musleh, the PMF commander of Al-Anbar Operations, said in a statement.

The Commander added, "the operation is one of the PMF's major security operations since the victory over ISIS."

An explosive device blew up during the operation, targeting a vehicle belonging to the 16th Division of the Nineveh Operations Command of the Iraqi army, wounding two soldiers.

Is Biden Compromised? Sen. Ron Johnson is 'Suspicious'
Compromised, senile, corrupt, and not terribly bright. But those who wanted him in the White House were willing to lie, cheat, and steal to get him there, so here we are.
[NewsMax] Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., told Newsmax that as more information comes to light about Hunter Biden's laptop, he has grown "suspicious" President Joe Biden could be compromised.

While speaking to "Stinchfield," Johnson said, "I don't know it for certain" that the information on Hunter's laptop would compromise the president, "but I'm sure suspicious of it."

Why did Biden "waive all these sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline?" Johnson asked. "Why did he cancel the China initiative? There was the Department of Justice investigation initiative into China's stealing our intellectual property at universities; why did he take these actions?"

"So we have no idea," the congressman continued, "what Russia, what China, these other intelligence services, know about President Biden. And we have no idea how that might be affecting his policy decisions.

"But I agree with Tony Bobulinski [Hunter Biden's former business partner] who said that Joe Biden is 'compromised.' I think it's pretty obvious he must be," the senator concluded.

#9  That's right. We're seeing swarms of them in Arizona and elsewhere, in the hundreds. It's unreal. Truly an invasion.

This is a fucking disaster in the making. I can't believe this administration is screwing around with stuff halfway across the world while this is happening on our border.

#10  But they want that to happen on our border, Boss Poodle5407. They think it A Good Thing.

Nigerian Army Probes Soldier Allegedly Abandoned Inside Bush After Terrorists’ Attack In Niger State
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

The Nigerian Army has reacted to a viral video of a soldier identified as Musa M. who claimed he was abandoned in the bush by his colleagues in a forest in Niger State during an operation.

A video which circulated the social media on Wednesday evening showed Musa solely running in a bush.

But in a statement signed by Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Public Relations, the Nigerian Army described the soldier as a "coward."

Nwachukwu noted that the soldier was part of troops that had carried out a clearance operation at the Gurara Local Government Area of Niger State.

The soldier was said to have fled the operation and had sent out the video in a deliberate attempt to shield himself from being accused of cowardice.

The army said, "The attention of the Nigerian Army(NA) has been drawn to a viral video making the rounds on the social media, where a soldier on Wednesday, 30 March 2022 claimed to have been abandoned by his colleagues during operations.

"Contrary to the claims and impression created by the soldier in the video footage, preliminary investigations have revealed that the video footage was a deliberate attempt to shield himself from being accused of cowardice, having abandoned his colleagues during an ongoing clearance operation in Gurara, Niger State.
