-Lurid Crime Tales-
Man asked to leave Atlanta lounge, returns to start shootout with security, gets smoked !
[WSBTV-2 Atlanta] ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a shooting that left a 26-year-old man injured.

On Sunday, just before 2 a.m., officers were called to the Monaco Hookah Lounge on Trinity Avenue in southwest Atlanta regarding a person shot.
Nothing much good happens at the Monaco after midnight.
When police arrived, they found a man who sustained a gunshot

Atlanta investigators learned the man was reportedly asked to leave the lounge but came back with a gun and fired shots into the building.
They ran out of both apple and peach. Said he'd be back, and he was !
APD said security at the lounge then shot back, hitting the suspect.

The 26-year-old was stable before being taken to the hospital and placed in custody. His identity was not released. The investigation is ongoing.
Amongst much laugher.

Denver migrant advocates say six months of free rent, food not enough: 'A slap in the face' and 'offensive'
[FoxNews] Mayor Johnston announced budget cuts so city can better deal with its migrant crisis.

Migrants and an advocacy group in Denver decried the city's new Asylum Seekers Program that offers six months of free housing, calling it "insufficient" and "offensive" despite the mayor cutting the city's emergency budget to accommodate the migrant surge.

The sanctuary city has been struggling to stretch its limited resources to support the growing number of migrants making their way to Denver. More than 40,000 migrants have found their way to the city since December 2022, more per capita than any other U.S. city – at a total cost of around $68 million, the New York Post reported.

2024 will be 'toughest' labor market 'in our lifetime': Report
[FoxBusness] RedBalloon CEO Andrew Crapushettes said 'a lot of different factors' are to blame for difficult market in a Fox News Digital exclusive

An "alarming" new study on the future of the labor market puts a spotlight on the lack of employees and a rise in workplace litigation this year.

"The report talks about how 2024, we believe, is going to be one of the most challenging years in the labor market in our lifetime," RedBalloon CEO Andrew Crapuchettes said in a Fox News Digital exclusive.

"There's a lot of different factors that are driving that. We see population decline. We see baby boomers retiring. We see a Gen Z workforce that is coming in and not doing productive things in the workplace… The thing that I think is the most alarming fact, though, in the entire report, and one of our big findings was the amount of litigation that's happening in the American workplace today."

RedBalloon's report "2024: The Toughest Labor Market," released Monday, breaks down the factors contributing to the challenging road ahead, but also provides employees with a possible solution.

"To summarize the situation employers face: there are less people overall, fewer working-aged people willing to work, more retirements, a higher number of jobseekers with mental health challenges, and an explosion in labor-related lawsuits against employers," the report says.

One of the predominate factors is the evolving employable demographic. The study notes a decline in population growth is paired with an increasing number of boomers retiring, leaving the labor force to rely on more millennials and Gen Z.

The study observed, however, that there are seven million working-aged men who should be "leading in the labor market" but are unemployed or not actively looking for employment, leaving a "huge hole."

placeholder
"[Working-age men] should be leading in the labor market," Crapuchettes said. "They should be helping the Gen Zers… Working age men, 25 to 65, those are people who should be engaged in labor market and leading in their economies, in their businesses, in their communities. And unfortunately, we're seeing that a lot of them are not engaged in the labor market."

Gen Z workers present new issues for employers.

"Part of that is they've grown up on social media. Forbes believes that the average Gen Z spends four hours a day on social media, and that just gives you a distorted view of reality. And then many of them have gone off to university and also gotten a distorted view of reality, because those universities are not focused on meritocracy in the way that you really have… to be successful in the workplace," Crapuchettes argued.

The study explained the Gen Z labor force is increasingly defined by job hopping, mental health challenges and voluntary sidelining.

A March 2024 survey by RedBalloon found that of business owners in the study, 68% said Gen Zers are the "least reliable" employees and 64% said Gen Zers are likely to cause division and toxicity in the workplace.

#5  ...My employers - demanding, tough, and absolutely looking out for me and taking care of me for the last 16 years -know full well that on April 15, 2027, I will be retiring. I'm lucky; between SSI, USAF pension, and my 401k, TRICARE/Medicare, I'll be fine - no world cruises, but fine. There have been a few discreet questions about me staying on past that, but it's not happening. I've been working since my 13th birthday and if I have anything to say about it, it's time to throttle back.

And quite honestly, if it's earlier it won't be because of the job proper or my coworkers, it'll be because of my customers. They are - and I do not exaggerate - getting worse on a daily basis. I spend a disturbing amount of time saving them from themselves, and at least one or two are still in business only because of our efforts to bail them out. I can only imagine the horrors of actually working there.

Africa North
New crisis unfolds in Africa three years after Biden's Afghanistan debacle
Niger, of course. I s’pose we should be grateful there isn’t another new crisis in Africa in Biden’s watch.
[JustTheNews] Most of the troops are stationed at a U.S. airbase that is less than a decade old and is valued at $110 million and costs about $1 million a month to run.

Nearly three years after the heavily criticized U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Biden administration is facing another security crisis involving U.S. troops, only this time, it is unfolding in Africa under the growing influence of Russia, Iran and China.

The Biden administration on Friday announced it would withdraw more than 1,000 U.S. military personnel from Niger over the coming months in a move that is expected to disrupt regional counterterrorism operations. The decision came the same week that Russian paramilitary officials arrived in the country and a whistleblower report was released detailing the dire conditions facing the U.S. troops.

Niger said last month that it would no longer participate in a military cooperation deal with the United States after a junta in the country last year left U.S. service members largely inactive, according to The New York Times.

The U.S. and Niger have begun discussions regarding "the orderly withdrawal of U.S. forces from the country," an American defense official told Fox News Digital over the weekend.

Many of the American service members in Niger are stationed at U.S. Air Base 201, which is less than a decade old and is valued at $110 million. Since the junta, which saw the ousting of Niger's democratically-elected President Mohamed Bazoum, troops there have mostly focused on flying surveillance drones on missions to protect the base.

Terrorism poses a serious problem for Niger. In 2022, the most recent year for which the U.S. State Department has published a terrorism report for Niger, the country saw at least 180 terrorist attacks. Multiple terrorist groups are active in Niger, including Boko Haram, at least two Islamic State affiliates and one al-Qaida affiliate.

The administration's announcement Friday about the withdrawal came two days after Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz announced on the House floor that his office composed an interim whistleblower report about what he called a "cover-up" that "exists to conceal the humiliating failures of the Biden administration in Niger, throughout Africa and throughout the world."

He said that the Biden administration left 1,100 U.S. troops "functionally stranded" in Niger, where they have been "pleading for help," as they have been unable to receive potable water, medical care and other basic supplies. However, the U.S. Embassy in Niger has been blocking reports about the dire conditions, Gaetz also said.

Despite this reported lack of basic supplies and military activities at the base, operations there still cost U.S. taxpayers $1 million a month, per the Gaetz report.

The 100 Russian officials who arrived in Niger last week were part of the Africa Corps, a paramilitary group intended to replace the mercenary organization known as the Wagner Group, according to Russia’s state-owned news outlet RIA Novosti.

Meanwhile, Niger also appears to be cozying up to Iran. The Wall Street Journal reported last month that Niger is reportedly exploring a secret deal that would allow Iran to access its uranium reserves to help the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.

China also appears to be strengthening ties with Niger. Last week, the Chinese Embassy in Niger announced that the two countries signed a "series of oil cooperation agreements."

#3  A smart operator would invite the Russians to take up concurrent occupancy at the base, make them familiar with the security arrangements, and use then as a rear-guard to cover the orderly withdrawal of the last US Troops and aircraft! Why not be straightforward about it, since that is the endgame that will happen in any event?

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Entire IRGC command wing in Syria was eliminated in strike, Bloomberg reveals
[Jpost] The Bloomberg television network revealed overnight into Saturday that in the attack attributed to Israel at the Iranian consulate in Syria, the entire command hierarchy responsible for the activities of the Revolutionary Guards in Syria and Lebanon was killed. According to the report, "the senior officers were pivotal for Hezbollah's activities in the region."

According to the reports, General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and his deputy, Mohammad Hadi Rahimi, along with other officers who were killed, were certain that the consulate building next to the embassy was "the safest" in Damascus and that Israel would not dare to attack the site.

Before the airstrike on the consulate building in Damascus, the residences of the ambassador and the consul were supposed to be transferred to a new apartment complex further down the same street, where the two brothers of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad also live. Shortly before the attack, the senior ranking officials of the IRGC in Syria met on the second floor of the consulate building and decided to stay there.

IRAN INVESTIGATES THE SYRIA ATTACK
The strike at the Iranian consulate in Syria led Iran, for the first time, to respond directly and attack Israel. Immediately after the assassination, Iran began suspecting that groups in Syria were involved in several assassination cases of IRGC personnel in the country over the past few years.
Groups? Possibly even factions? The Black Hand of this modern age, conniving everywhere in secret to destroy the upright and pious…. no, I’m sorry, I simply can’t go on …
Iran’s suspicion focuses on 18 commanders who were assassinated over a short time in attacks that were attributed to Israel. This is according to a Syrian defector who opposed the Assad regime, who claims to have spoken with an Iranian official.

According to the Syrian defector, after the assassination of Raza Musawi
…also spelt Sayyed Reza Mousavi and Sayyed Razi Mousavi
in Syria in December 2023, a joint investigation between the two countries began, attempting to trace a possible security breach. However, at a certain point, Iran chose to conduct an independent investigation with Hezbollah, following concerns that the Syrian intelligence was interfering with the investigation.

The independent investigation concluded that the security breaches that led to the assassination were under high-level political and security cover, and it was unlikely that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was unaware of them.

The defector further added that what heightened suspicions in Tehran was that the Hezbollah operatives who were assassinated in the country were linked to Syrian security services. Their assassination was possible through espionage, using advanced technology.

Cyber
'We broke into IDF, hold quarter of a million documents,' hacker group Anonymous claims
[Jpost] Pro-Palestinian hackers allege that after penetrating the Justice Ministry, they now possess 20 gigabytes of data, including nearly a quarter-million documents related to the Israeli military.

The hacker organization Anonymous issued a statement on Friday stating that it has hacked into the IDF and will reportedly showcase purported military documents. It also claims control over 20 gigabytes of data, encompassing over 233,000 documents, including PDFs, Word files, PowerPoint presentations, and more.

The hackers' accompanying video displays excerpts from PowerPoint presentations featuring IDF personnel, with slides bearing logos of General Staff departments. The authenticity of the documents in the video remains uncertain.

According to IDF security assessments, the likelihood of an actual breach is minimal, suggesting a possible "psychological warfare" tactic by the hackers. The IDF's computer system is tightly secured and classified at various levels. If a breach did occur, it's improbable that access extended directly to IDF computers; instead, files may have been obtained from civilian computers, potentially breaching regulations.

CLAIMING TO HACK THE JUSTICE MINISTRY
Earlier this month, an anonymous source claimed to have hacked the Justice Ministry, acquiring 8 million files totaling 300 gigabytes, including personal details of listed individuals. Some of the hackers, operating under the Anonymous banner since 2003, reiterated their vow to "destroy the Zionists."

At the start of the month, the national cyber array warned of an anticipated uptick in attacks following the end of Ramadan and escalating incitement against Israel and its online presence. Concerns include potential website breaches, digital system infiltrations (including smart homes), leaks of classified documents, exposure of personal data, deployment of tracking software, and intrusion attempts.

The Israeli public was urged to avoid clicking on suspicious links and to report any indications of cyberattacks.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
IDF: 84% of damaged vehicles go back to war
[Jpost] Hamas has always had a cost advantage arms race versus Israel with its rockets being much cheaper than Iron Dome interceptors.

But Arrow interceptors, such as were used in large numbers to shoot down around 120 ballistic missiles fired by Tehran, are off-the-scale more expensive compared even to Iron Dome interceptors, being that they launch into Earth’s atmosphere against a far more advanced “foe.”

The IDF also said it continues to carry out nightly constant resupply missions to forces within Gaza and is taking care of soldiers who are “stuck” there during the Passover holiday season.

This can even include providing vegetarian meals and other specific needs.

In terms of actual activity, the IDF sent out no updates on attacks against Hamas in Gaza on Sunday.

IDF CHIEF OF STAFF APPROVES NEW GAZA BATTLE PLANS
Despite that, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Herzi Halevi approved new battle plans for Gaza on Sunday, though it was unclear if this was more standard plans or a larger move against Rafah.

Next, the IDF said Sunday that it was unaware that reports about potential US sanctions against its Netzah Yehuda Battalion were final.

“If a decision is made on the matter, it will be reviewed,” the IDF said, in its first remarks on the issue. The battalion has been involved in around half a dozen major controversial and violent incidents against Palestinians in the West Bank in recent years.

The military stated that the battalion is “participating in the war in the Gaza Strip, with courage and professionalism, while following the values and spirit of the IDF and the principles of international law.

“In recent years, the battalion’s troops have been at the center of operational activities around the clock, to protect the security of the citizens of the State of Israel, alongside being a leading battalion in the integration of ultra-Orthodox troops in the IDF,” said the IDF.

Regarding the controversial incidents, the army said, "The IDF is working and will continue to work to investigate every exceptional event substantively and in accordance with the law.”

Wow Gaslighting – SSCI Chairman Mark Warner Lies About FISA-702 Fundamentals
[Last Refuge] This statement by Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Mark Warner is so fraudulent in narrative construct it’s almost ridiculous. "SEN. WARNER: Let’s remember what 702 is. It is the ability for the United States government to surveil, listen in, on non-Americans foreigners who are abroad."

Absolutely nothing about this statement is accurate. Foreigners do not have U.S constitutional protection. All foreign communications can be intercepted without issue, without FISA.

FISA-702 authority only pertains to Americans. The term "702" is specifically referencing private communication with/by an American. WATCH Warner lie:

Author of Report Critical of Transgender 'Medicine' Facing Security Threats
[Breitbart] The author of a major report detailing the dangers transgender healthcare practices pose to children said that she had been told to avoid public transport amid security concerns.

Dr Hillary Cass, the former president of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, told The Times of London that she is facing abuse and threats following the publication of her report on the impact of transgender ‘medicine’ has on children in Britain.

“I’m not going on public transport at the moment, following security advice, which is inconvenient,” Dr Cass said.

She went on to accuse many of her critics of spreading “misinformation” about the damning report, including from left-wing Labour MP Dawn Butler, who had asserted in the House of Commons that “over 100 studies have not been in this Cass report”.

Cass said that Butler’s claim was “completely wrong, explaining that the list of studies cited by Butler had “absolutely nothing to do with either our report or any of the papers.”

“If you deliberately try to undermine a report that has looked at the evidence of children’s healthcare, then that’s unforgivable. You are putting children at risk by doing that,” she added.

In her 388-page report, the top paediatrician riled the far-left by claiming that transgender medical practices were “built on shaky foundations” and that the National Health Service should no longer provide those under the age of 18 with puberty-blocking drugs.

In contrast to the radical left’s position, which demands so-called “gender-affirming care” in which life-altering medications and surgeries are plied on youngsters, Cass said that there was little evidence to support the claim that puberty-blocking drugs helped children with their “mental or psychosocial health”, while the long-term effects of such treatment on “cognitive and psychosexual development” have not been thoroughly explored.

The report also noted that many children naturally grow out of experiencing a transgender identity, saying that “for most young people, a medical pathway will not be the best way to manage their gender-related distress” and therefore medical professionals should exercise “extreme caution” in how they treat children with symptoms of gender dysphoria.

The UK’s National Health Service said last month that it would stop routinely providing puberty blockers to children in most cases. However, there are concerns about loopholes through which activist physicians could still provide the life-altering drugs to children.

Health Secretary Victoria Atkins said this week that the government will look to fire any medical professionals who seek to subvert the rules, saying: “I am looking closely at closing, what can be done to curtail any loopholes and prescribing practices, including legislative options. Nothing is off the table and I will update the House in due course.”

Palestinian Ruling Party Admits: Hamas Steals Aid, Kills Aid Workers in Gaza
[Breitbart] Fatah, the “moderate” ruling party of the Palestinian Authority, has admitted on live television that Hamas steals humanitarian aid and kills aid workers in the Gaza Strip.

The admission, captured by Palestinian Media Watch, confirms what Israel has been saying all along — and goes further, stating that Hamas is not only responsible for endangering aid workers by hiding among them, but also asserts that Hamas has been killing aid workers directly.

Palestinian Media Watch reported (original emphasis):

In an incredible and rare admission, Fatah has corroborated what Israel has been saying all along: that Hamas is responsible for turmoil connected to distribution of the humanitarian aid sent into Gaza. A Fatah TV anchor reported that throughout the war, Hamas has been committing what is essentially a triple crime—it has attacked and killed aid workers in order to control aid distribution, stolen the food and water for itself, and caused food prices to skyrocket.

Fatah-run Awdah TV host: “Hamas’ persecution of any party who is a source for distributing the [humanitarian] aid or securing it began from the start of the war (i.e., 2023 Gaza war), as Hamas persecuted well-known figures and teams of volunteers on the ground in mid-October [2023]. It attacked them and killed some of them for two reasons: Firstly, preventing any activity by any [other] party in the Gaza Strip; and secondly, ensuring Hamas control over the aid and its storage, which of course leads to these crazy and unreal prices that no one can pay in the shadow of this destruction. After the occupation (i.e., Israel) bombed storehouses controlled by Hamas, the accumulation of tons of various food and aid products that Hamas had taken exclusivity over became clear, at a time when the Gaza Strip is suffering from hunger.”

This is a damning indictment by Fatah, exposing Hamas’ heinous actions against humanitarian aid workers and Palestinian civilians in need of food. World powers were quick to decry Israel for an inadvertent tragedy that killed several World Central Kitchen personnel. These same authorities and media outlets must now condemn Hamas with equal vigor for its intentional murder of aid workers. A failure to condemn Hamas for intentional murder by the countries and frameworks who condemned Israel for accidental killing would expose once again a glaring double standard by international bodies, and especially the media, that unfortunately has accompanied this entire war.

The Biden administration has blamed Israel for the death of aid workers, with President Joe Biden claiming this month that “Israel has not done enough to protect aid workers trying to deliver desperately needed help to civilians.”

Britain
Britain's mysterious WW2 'island of death'
[BBC] In the 1960s, the BBC set out to investigate local reports of secret, shocking World War Two experiments, dangerous contamination and unexplained animal deaths on a remote island off the coast of Scotland.

"Hereabouts, they call it the island of death, the mystery Island, and for good reason," said windswept BBC reporter Fyfe Robertson as he stood across the sea from the remote and desolate Scottish island of Gruinard in 1962.

"Now, this is not a story of old dark deeds or Highland superstition. No, this story started in 1942. The war had been going on for three years when suddenly a group of scientific boffins from the War Office took over the island and started experiments so secret that even today, 20 years later, very few people know what went on over there. The local people were told nothing."

Robertson was aiming to investigate the stories of dangerous government experiments that were believed to have happened on Gruinard. At the time he was reporting, the UK's Ministry of Defence had already declared the island off-limits and Robertson couldn't persuade fearful locals to sail him around the island to get a closer look at it.

It was an environmental catastrophe. Shockingly, the island remained dangerously contaminated and a no-go area for nearly half a century, until, on this day in 1990, the UK government finally declared Gruinard Island safe.

The truth was that Gruinard Island had been the site of a clandestine attempt by the UK during World War Two to weaponise Anthrax, a deadly bacterial infection. The exact details of what had happened there would only come to light when in 1997 the government declassified a film that the military had shot at the time, which detailed the experiments.

Israel military intelligence chief quits over 7 October
[BBC] The Israeli military's intelligence chief has resigned, saying he took responsibility for the failures before Hamas's attack on Israel on 7 October.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said Major General Aharon Haliva would retire once his successor was selected.

He acknowledged in a letter that his intelligence directorate "did not live up to the task we were entrusted with".

He is the first senior figure to step down over the attack, which was the deadliest in Israel's history.

Israeli military and intelligence officials missed or ignored multiple warnings before hundreds of Hamas gunmen breached the Gaza border fence that day and attacked nearby Israeli communities, military bases and a music festival.

Olde Tyme Religion
Voices For a Return to God
[American Thinker] The need for a return to God is clearly evident in today’s deranged and dysfunctional world. It is a need, exceeding all others, that must be fulfilled in order to keep enemies of God from interfering with human life. Among them are men and women with top-heavy egos that make them apply their strength of mind and depth of soul to outplay the Creator instead of growing in wisdom.

To the charge that raising voices against the excess of human tragedy in today’s world for having dismissed God is "irrational," my response must be that intellectuals of that persuasion, having lost their way to the truth, continue to omit from their thinking an essential reality. Expressed succinctly, it is that at the root of every knowledge — the basic assumptions and "givens" — is an "X" that can never be solved, ultimately requiring a leap of faith in order to proceed in any direction.

In his writings and lectures, mathematician and philosopher Jacob Bronowski made clear to fellow scientists and laymen that all rational systems, including mathematics and physics, have inescapable and permanent dead ends, beyond which it is impossible to proceed.

An overview of Jacob Bronowski’s Ascent of Man tells us that "we have to cure ourselves of the itch for absolute knowledge and power," in sync with the button-pushing ease of modern times and the de facto anti-human activity of amoral elites who consistently fail to touch people.

The voices calling for this urgent need are many; Here are a few:

Tucker Carlson Says Congressmen ‘Terrified' Intel Agencies Will Frame Them With ‘Kiddie Porn'
[Daily Caller] Tucker Carlson said congressmen are "terrified" that intelligence agencies will frame them with "kiddie porn" if they openly oppose "warrantless spying" on an episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience" released Friday.

Carlson told podcast host Joe Rogan that U.S. lawmakers "told" him that they are "worried" about being punished by intelligence agencies if they oppose reauthorizing Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).

"People don’t say that because they’re worried about being punished. They’re worried about someone putting kiddie porn on their computer. Members of Congress are terrified of the intel agencies. I’m not guessing at that. They’ve told me that — including people on the intel committee, including people who run the intel committee," Carlson said.

"The people whose job it is to oversee and keep in line these enormous, secretive agencies whose budgets we can’t even know — their ’black budgets,’" Carlson continued, raising his hands into air-quotes. "They’re the parents, the agencies are the children. They’re afraid of the agencies. That’s not compatible with democracy."

#2  Best comment from today's "Thinker" entitled "King Deep State Sits on a Stolen Throne." Lydia fok'n nails it hands down.

Lydia

The Deep State King is a many-headed Hydra, with tentacles everywhere. Like the Greek myth, when one head is cut off, two more sprout in its place. It became one of Hercules' 12 Labors to sever the Hydra's heads as his nephew cauterized the wounds so that no fresh heads would emerge. That is the labor that must be taken on to free the people of this country.

Yesterday, O'Keefe Media Group announced they will be publishing undercover video of Intel officials. This was announced after the Tucker Carlson interview with Joe Rogan where Tucker noted the fear Congress has of the IC and their ability to plant porn on their computers for blackmail purposes. O'Keefe posted, "Do not run for office unless you're willing to lay down your life for your country. Do not run if fear is in your vocabulary."

Ridding the country of the Hydra will be a Herculean effort. Many in Congress are legitimately compromised, but it really doesn't matter. As we have seen, "crimes" can be manufactured. If Congress had any honor or integrity they would stand together as one body to call out the Deep State IC and condemn the tyranny. Let the chips fall where they may. But it won't happen because they are all cowards and charlatans who are rewarded for compliance. Watching some of the rats flee the sinking ship may indicate that exposure is imminent. They also know that the Hydra is immortal and will take vengeance against anyone that tries to slay it.

The American people must have the backs of those trying to expose and slay the beast, but like our "representatives," we have become weak, docile, and cowardly. We seal our own fate if we let the beast devour our champions.

Supreme Court exposes Biden's selective prosecution of political opponents
[Washington Examiner] During oral arguments on Tuesday, Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Samuel Alito exposed the Biden administration’s inexcusable practice of selective prosecution of protesters and rioters.

The case, Fischer v. United States, involved the contention by Pennsylvanian Joseph Fischer that the charges of "obstruct[ion of] ... any official proceeding," based on 18 U.S.C. § 1512(c), should not apply to his actions during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. Fischer, who also was charged with assaulting police officers, is hardly a sympathetic figure. His claims that he wasn’t trying to obstruct or "impede" official (and important) congressional business, in the ordinary (nonlegal) sense of those words, are specious, but Gorsuch and Alito were interested in a point broader than Fischer’s particular circumstances.

More than 300, of nearly 1,400 total, other Jan. 6 defendants also have been charged with violating 18 U.S.C. § 1512(c). The two justices were puzzled by inconsistencies with which President Joe Biden’s appointees apply the law and with the wide scope they claim for it against disfavored defendants. Contrarily, when people on the Left, even including members of Congress, disrupt government proceedings, including by use of force, Biden and his officials look the other way.

"Would a sit-in that disrupts a trial or access to a federal courthouse qualify [as illegal obstruction]?" Gorsuch asked Biden’s solicitor general, Elizabeth Prelogar. "Would a heckler at today’s audience qualify or a heckler at the State of the Union address? Would pulling a fire alarm before a vote qualify for 20 years in federal prison?"

Progressive Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) used the fire alarm stunt before a key spending vote last Sept. 30 and pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge carrying negligible penalties, but he bragged about not being charged for obstructing House proceedings even though that’s what he had obviously done when the alarm forced an evacuation. That mandatory mass exit interrupted attempts to ward off a government shutdown.

When Prelogar’s attempt to draw distinctions sounded weak and confusing, Gorsuch pressed further. Using the catchphrase favored by liberal news media and others about urban riots, even ones where police were injured, cars were burned, and federal courthouses were significantly damaged, resulting in trial relocations or delays, Gorsuch somewhat mockingly asked why "a mostly peaceful protest ... that actually obstructs and impedes an official proceeding for an indefinite period would not be covered."

Prelogar stumbled throughout the questioning, including when Alito picked up on similar themes. At one point, she said that for a criminal charge under the statute at issue, "we would have to have the evidence of intent." Yet it is clear that at least a significant subset of the Jan. 6 rioters, while knowing they should not be in the Capitol, and thus being criminally liable for trespassing or disorderly conduct, were clueless about the congressional proceedings rather than intentionally trying to interfere with them. Yet this administration is throwing the book at scores of them.

The point isn’t that the Capitol rioters should avoid all penalties but that the Biden administration is choosing for ideological reasons when and how to apply laws against illicit protests.

Thus it is that in 2020, now-Vice President Kamala Harris advocated a yearlong continuation of the oft-violent post-George Floyd riots while supporting groups that wanted to bail murderers from prison. The Biden Justice Department tries to imprison innocent anti-abortion protesters while letting hundreds of attacks on pro-life centers go unpunished. It targets parents as domestic terrorists while refusing to enforce specific laws against demonstrations at the homes of Republican-appointed Supreme Court justices. Examples of double standards are almost countless.

Trump Trial Rocked by New $100M Bombshell – Donald's Ally Makes Shock Claim About Judge
[Patriot Journal] This week saw the start of the "hush money" trial against Donald Trump. Democrat prosecutors in New York are trying to convict him of a laundry list of charges. Many Americans believe this—like all the other cases—is a poorly veiled attempt by Democrats to derail Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.

Those suspicions were only strengthened when a known liberal judge was appointed to the case. Judge Juna Merchan refused to recuse himself from this case, even though he has donated to Joe Biden.

What’s more, he has shown a bias against Trump—by ordering him to be in court instead of on the campaign trail. Now, a Trump ally has revealed another bombshell that could implicate this judge and his family. Few Americans will consider this trial legitimate after learning this.

From The Post Millennial:
Trump ally Mike Davis revealed on War Room Wednesday that the daughter of the judge overseeing the trial "has raised nearly $100 million for this criminal trial."

He added, "This Loren Merchan, the judge’s daughter, has raised nearly $100 million for this criminal trial. She’s profiting from this thing. And CNN doesn’t want its viewers to hear this."...

Loren Merchan is the head of a Chicago consulting firm and was paid around $4 million to help spread the word of Rep Adam Schiff’s effort in 2019 to impeach Trump.
It is known that Judge Merchan’s daughter is Loren Merchan, a Democratic operative working out of Chicago. Trump ally Mike Davis claims that Loren has raised nearly $100 million, using Trump’s criminal trial as motivation.

Merchan was paid by Democrats to spread the word against Trump during the 2019 impeachment. This family appears to have deep ties to the Democrats, which will convince most Americans that the judge can’t be impartial.

As the primary season heated up last year, Democrats launched these lawsuits against Trump. They timed it so the trials would begin as we near the general election. Democrats seem intent on using the legal system to drain Trump of resources, discourage voters from supporting him, and even put him in jail.

Iraq's Kataib Hezbollah says Syria rocket attacks mark resumption of attacks on US forces
[IsraelTimes] Iraq’s Kataib Hezbollah says Iraqi gangs had decided to resume attacks on US forces in the country after seeing little progress on talks to achieve the exit of American troops during a visit by the Iraqi prime minister to Washington.

"What happened a short while ago is the beginning," the group says in an apparent reference to an attack late last night with multiple rockets from northern Iraq on a base housing US forces in Syria.

Founded in the aftermath of the 2003 US-led invasion of Iraq, Kataeb Hezbollah is one of the elite Iraqi armed factions closest to Iran.
More from the Times of Israel:
At least five rockets were launched from Iraq’s town of Zummar toward a US military base in northeastern Syria on Sunday, two Iraqi security sources told Reuters.

The attack against US forces is the first since early February when Iranian-backed groups in Iraq stopped their attacks against US troops.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Assad says Syria has held ‘meetings' with US on possibly mending ties with West
[IsraelTimes] US-sanctioned president says meetings don’t amount to much but he continues with them because ’there is always hope’ relations can be fixed

US-sanctioned President Bashar al-Assad said in an interview published on Sunday that Syria has held meetings "from time to time" with Washington, as it seeks openings after over a decade of isolation.

The United States was among the first to cut ties with Assad over the repression of anti-government protests that sparked war in 2011 that has since killed more than half a million people, displaced millions more, and battered Syria’s infrastructure and industry. Many Western and Arab states also severed relations with Syria because of the war.

However, last year Syria returned to the Arab fold, seeking better ties with wealthy US-allied Gulf states, in the hope they can help fund reconstruction — although Western sanctions are likely to deter investment.

"America is currently illegally occupying part of our lands... but we meet with them from time to time, although these meetings do not lead to anything," Assad said in an interview with a Russian-backed official from Georgia’s breakaway region of Abkhazia, published by Syria’s official Sana news agency.

Assad did not give further details about who was involved in the meetings, or what was discussed.

"There is always hope: even when we know there will be no results we must try," he said, when asked about the possibility of mending ties with the West.

Assad also attempted to mend ties with other countries not aligned with the West, having most recently making an official visit to China for the first time in almost two decades.

China became one of only a handful of countries outside the Middle East that Assad has visited since the civil war began, and was the latest in a string of leaders ostracized by the West to be courted by Beijing. Beijing has long provided Damascus with diplomatic support, particularly at the UN Security Council where it is a permanent member.

After war broke out, the United States imposed a slew of sanctions on Syria — which had already been a pariah state in the West under Assad’s father Hafez.

In 2020, a US law known as the Caesar Act came into force that punishes any companies that work with Assad.

The Caesar Act, accompanied by a slew of US sanctions on Syrians close to Assad, aimed to force accountability for human rights abuses and to encourage a political solution.

Washington is also at odds with Damascus over US backing for northeast Syria’s semi-autonomous Kurdish authorities, which have spearheaded the fight against the Islamic State group with support from a US-led international coalition.

Damascus accuses Kurdish authorities, which control most of the country’s major oilfields, of separatism. It accuses them of being traitors because of their close US ties.

In 2022, US President Joe Biden had accused Syria of holding American journalist Austin Tice, abducted more than a decade ago in Damascus, and called on Syria’s government to help secure his release.

3 Palestinians shot dead while attacking IDF troops in West Bank
[IsraelTimes] Woman killed trying to stab guards at Jordan Valley checkpoint, two men killed assaulting soldiers near Hebron, as army ends 50-hour refugee camp operation amid heightened tensions

The army said soldiers opened fire at three Palestinians who attacked them on Sunday in the West Bank, where violence has flared in recent days, with the Palestinian Authority health ministry confirming that all three had died.

In the first incident, at the Beit Einun junction near Hebron in the southern West Bank, the Israel Defense Forces said a man had shot at troops, while another attempted to stab them, before the soldiers opened fire on both attackers, whom medics later declared dead.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA, citing local sources, said that ambulance crews were prevented from reaching the two, whom the agency identified as Mohammad Majid Jabareen, 19, and Musa Mahmoud Jabareen, 18.

In the second incident, the military said soldiers shot a woman who tried to stab them at the Beka’ot checkpoint — also known as Hamra, after the adjacent settlement — in the north West Bank’s Jordan Valley. She was later confirmed dead by Palestinian Authority health authorities.

WAFA identified her as Manal Sawafta, 40, from Tubas in the Jordan Valley.

Violence in the West Bank, already on the rise before October 7 — when thousands of Hamas-led terrorists stormed southern Israel to kill nearly 1,200 people and abduct over 250 — has escalated throughout the war sparked by the onslaught, with frequent army raids on terror groups, rampages by Jewish settlers in Palestinian villages, and deadly Palestinian street attacks.

The IDF began an extended raid in the early hours of Friday in the Nur Shams refugee camp, near the flashpoint Palestinian city of Tulkarm, and exchanged fire with gunmen well into Saturday.

Fourteen Palestinian operatives were killed in the fire exchanges and 10 soldiers were wounded, according to an IDF statement issued on Sunday, after it had completed the 50-hour operation.

Nur Shams residents have so far identified only five of the fatalities as operatives. One of those killed was a 16-year-old boy, authorities said.

Since October 7, IDF troops have arrested some 3,850 wanted Palestinians across the West Bank, including more than 1,650 affiliated with Hamas. According to the Palestinian Authority health ministry, more than 480 West Bank Palestinians have been killed in that time.

Amid unrest at Columbia University, campus rabbi urges Jewish students to stay away until it's safe to return
[IsraelTimes] Following days of unrest and anti-Israel action at Columbia University in New York City, the university’s orthodox rabbi sent a message to Jewish students urging them to stay away from campus until it is deemed safe again, CNN reports.

In a message seen by CNN, the rabbi condemned the "terrible and tragic" events of the last few days.

Recent events "have made it clear that Columbia University’s Public Safety and the NYPD cannot guarantee Jewish students’ safety in the face of extreme antisemitism and anarchy," the rabbi wrote.

"It deeply pains me to say that I would strongly recommend you return home as soon as possible and remain home until the reality in and around campus has dramatically improved," the message continued. "It is not our job as Jews to ensure our own safety on campus. No one should have to endure this level of hatred, let alone at school."

The current unrest at Columbia began when the university asked the police to dismantle a "Gaza solidarity encampment" set up by students on the grounds of the university.

More than 100 people were arrested as the encampment was dismantled, and anti-Israel protests have been ongoing since then.

…in theory non-denominational, but in this situation they cater to the more liberal of the university’s Jews…
for Jewish life at Columbia University rejects a call from the rabbi serving Orthodox students for Jewish students to stay away from campus due to a recent surge in anti-Israel activity.

Columbia Hillel says in a statement that it does not believe Jewish students should leave the campus and that it would remain open to serve the community.

At the same time, the Hillel makes clear that it expects the university and New York City to do more to protect Jewish students.
Because they’ve done such a fine job thus far?
“We call on the university administration to act immediately in restoring calm to campus. The city must ensure that students can walk up and down Broadway and Amsterdam without fear of harassment,” Columbia Hillel says.

… In south Florida, Jews wear the dinner plate Magen Davids and no one says one word. In rural Michigan, churches put "pray for Israel" on the signs outside. I'm not naive, obviously Jew-haters can and do live anywhere. But they're only thriving, open, proud, in blue areas and I'm not going to let people ignore that. A lot of liberal Jews are trying to parse things right now. They imagine they are still of the left but just on this one tiny little thing, their right to exist, they disagree. No, my friends. It's a house of cards and you're pulling the one from the very bottom. The whole left ideology is corrupt and you're going to have to face it. You can't spread the blame around. Roman Gabriel dies at 83. The first Filipino-American quarterback in NFL was MVP in 1969
[FOX] Roman Gabriel had big size and a big arm when he was the No. 2 draft pick of the Los Angeles Rams in 1962. Even while playing in an era of grinding it out on the ground, he still holds the Rams’ team record with 154 touchdown passes.

Gabriel, the first Filipino-American quarterback in the NFL and the league MVP in 1969, died Saturday. He was 83.

His son, Roman Gabriel III, announced his father’s death on social media, saying he died peacefully at home of natural causes.

In 2021, the elder Gabriel told the Los Angeles Times, "I am retired with heart problems and arthritis but happy." He said he split time between Wilmington, North Carolina, and Little River, South Carolina.

"We mourn the loss of Rams legend and football pioneer, Roman Gabriel," the Rams said on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Gabriel, who played at North Carolina State and was a two-time player of the year in the Atlantic Coast Conference, was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1989.

He was 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds, big for a quarterback in that era. Green Bay coach Vince Lombardi once described him as "a big telephone pole," according to the Los Angeles Times.

Gabriel played 11 years for the Rams and five years with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he was traded after the Rams acquired John Hadl.

Ukrainian Troops Staged A Daring Three-Night Raid To Steal A Russian Tank Fitted With A New Drone-Jammer
[Forbes] Starving for artillery ammunition after Russia-friendly Republicans in the U.S. Congress blocked further aid to Ukraine starting in October, the Ukrainian forces acquired tiny explosive drones as a firepower expedient.

Today these drones—hundreds of thousands of them—are the most important systems in the Ukrainian inventory. This means tactical radio jammers, which can block the signals operators use to control their drones, are the most important systems in the Russian inventory.

So when Russian tanks began rolling toward the front line with a giant new jammer—actually, clusters of multiple jammers—in recent weeks, Ukrainian drone operators were interested. Very interested.

If the new jammers worked, the Ukrainian operators would need to develop countermeasures.

Texas lawman final exam
Subject: Texas lawman final exam

A young Texan grew up wanting to be a lawman. He grew up big - 6' 2", strong as a longhorn, and fast as a mustang. He could shoot a bottle cap tossed in the air at 40 paces.

When he finally came of age, he applied to where he had only dreamed of working: the West Texas Sheriff's Department.

After a series of tests and interviews, the Chief Deputy finally called him into his office for the young man's last interview.

The Chief Deputy said: "You're a big strong kid and you can really shoot. So far your qualifications all look good, but we have, what you might call, an ‘Attitude Suitability Test’ that you must take before you can be accepted. We just don't let anyone carry our badge, son.”

Then, sliding a .40 Caliber Sig Sauer P-229 service pistol and a box of ammo across the desk, the Chief said, "Take this pistol and go out and shoot: one illegal alien, one lawyer, one meth dealer, one pedophile, one Muslim extremist, one Progressive Activist Democrat, and a rabbit."

"Why the rabbit?" queried the applicant.

"You pass," said the Chief Deputy. "When can you start?"

NY Dem congressional hopeful slammed for 'die MAGA die' message after Ukraine aid vote
[NYPOST] A New York Democratic congressional candidate celebrated the House passing a $60 billion bill to fund Ukraine while hoping for the death of the MAGA movement, a message posted to X shows.

"Slava Ukraine," New York congressional candidate Nate McMurray posted to X Saturday afternoon.

"Die MAGA die. You lose," he added of former President Trump’s supporters and those who agree with the "Make America Great Again" platform.

McMurray’s tweet followed the US House passing a bill Saturday that provides $60 billion to Ukraine amid the nation’s ongoing war against Russia. The aid package passed 311 to 112, with more Republicans voting against the bill, at 112, than Republicans who voted for it, at 101.

McMurray is running to represent New York’s 26th Congressional District, which includes parts of Erie and Niagara counties in the western area of the state, after previously serving as the town supervisor of the Town of Grand Island and as an attorney.

Some conservatives have railed against continuing to fund Ukraine while the US is coping with a border crisis, and some voted against the bill for its failure to include funding to secure the US border.

Syrian President Assad said that Russia's victory in Ukraine will correct the course of history
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Russia stands firmly against the West, and its victory in the Northern Military District in Ukraine will correct the course of history, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said in an interview published on April 21 by Channel One.

“It won’t change, but it will correct. Russia, as a powerful power, resists Western interference in the internal affairs of other countries, and it makes no difference where Russia is fighting global terror - in Syria or in Ukraine,” he said.

Assad is confident that the Russian Federation will win this confrontation and this will allow the fraternal peoples to unite again. Russia itself has suffered because the United States is pitting historically close nations against each other, and is now correcting what others have ruined, the Syrian leader added.

He also accused the United States of political pressure and using the dollar as a weapon against states that began to expand relations with China.

As Regnum reported, on March 3, Assad said that the decisions made by Russian President Vladimir Putin return Russia to the international platform and restore the balance of power. He also noted that any changes in Russia will also affect Syria.

Assad declared strong support for Russia’s special operation in Ukraine almost immediately after it began in February 2022. He noted that this is necessary to protect the civilian population of Donbass.

Ex-Pentagon adviser calls new aid package to Ukraine meaningless
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Former Pentagon adviser Douglas McGregor called the new aid package to Ukraine senseless and called on the US authorities to pay attention to the country's internal problems. He stated this on April 20, commenting on the decision of the House of Representatives of Congress to approve a bill to allocate almost $61 billion to Kyiv.

“The war in Ukraine is over, there is no point in sending money there. What about funding our border?” – McGregor wrote on his page on the social network X.

According to the military expert, solving the problems of the migration crisis in the United States of America should be a priority task of the Joe Biden administration, which nevertheless pays insufficient attention to internal problems.

As Regnum reported, on April 20, the US House of Representatives supported a bill to provide assistance to Ukraine, Israel and the countries of the Indo-Pacific region, including Taiwan. According to the voting results, 311 congressmen supported the bill, 112 opposed it. It is expected that the amount of aid allocated to Ukraine will be just under $61 billion, while the United States will send $26.4 billion to Israel.

As the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova emphasized, financial support for Kiev is direct sponsorship of its terrorist activities. In addition, in her opinion, the allocation of US military assistance to Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan will only aggravate the global crisis.

“In the Al-Tanf area, 12 violations were recorded per day by three pairs of F-15 fighters, a pair of Rafale fighters and two pairs of A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft,” Popov said.

In addition, on the part of the US-led coalition, the Center recorded three cases of violation of deconfliction protocols related to non-coordination with the Russian side on the flights of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Over the past 24 hours, two attacks on positions of Syrian government troops by terrorist groups have been recorded in the de-escalation zone. One Syrian soldier was wounded as a result of shelling in the Al Areim area in the province of Latakia.

As reported by Regnum news agency, earlier the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed five bases of militants who had taken refuge in hard-to-reach mountainous areas in the Syrian province of Homs. On April 18, the TsPVS recorded several cases of violation of deconfliction protocols by four pairs of F-15 fighters, two pairs of A-10 Thunderbolt attack aircraft and one MC-12W electronic reconnaissance and surveillance aircraft.

We are preparing for this. By May 9, Russia expects to occupy Chasov Yar in eastern Ukraine... “I expect that we will hold out, that the weapons will arrive on time and we will be able to repel the enemy, and then defeat the Russian Federation’s plans for full-scale counter-offensive actions in June.”

According to the president, today the Ukrainian military, which holds the defense in that direction, does not have enough weapons: “I was recently in the region, talking with the soldiers. The soldiers do not have enough equipment to fight Russian reconnaissance drones that correct artillery fire, and also There are enough artillery shells."

19:50 The head of the US Senate Intelligence Committee, Mark Warner, hopes that the law on assistance to Ukraine will be signed by Biden immediately after consideration in the Senate - on April 23-24, and by the end of next week longer-range ATACMS missiles could be sent to Kiev. Asked whether these would indeed be longer-range ATACMS, the senator responded: "I believe the administration has been willing in the last couple of months to prepare or provide ATACMS. That's written into this bill."

18:09 Zelensky said in an interview with NBC News that Ukraine now has a chance to stabilize the situation at the front and seize the initiative, subject to the supply of weapons. When asked by a journalist whether American aid to Ukraine will help win the war or simply prolong it, the president replied: “It depends on when we actually get weapons on the ground. If we get it in six months, well, our process will stall for six months.” and we will suffer losses in several directions. Losses in people and equipment."

Zelensky added that Ukraine now needs long-range weapons, because “our weapons are not that long-range.” Another priority is air defense.

17:55 Zelensky in an evening video message named the hottest points of the front: Chasov Yar and other key directions in the Donetsk region - Pokrovskoe, Kurakhovskoe, as well as the Kupyanskoe direction in the Kharkov region. The president also said that he discussed with Defense Minister Rustem Umerov the strengthening of Ukrainian air defense. “Front-line air defense is necessary just as protection is for our cities and villages,” the head of state emphasized.

17:07 The Russian Black Sea Fleet support vessel Communa caught fire in the port of Sevastopol as a result of the actions of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said Navy spokesman Dmitry Pletenchuk: “This event occurred with the direct participation of the Ukrainian Navy. The nature of the damage to the vessel is being clarified, but, according to preliminary data, the ship no longer ready to perform tasks." Pletenchuk clarified that this ship is not a combat ship, but served the Russian Black Sea Fleet. In particular, the Russians used the Commune when they examined the place where the cruiser Moscow sank.

14:48 The number of victims as a result of today's missile attack on the Odessa region has increased to four, said Oleg Kiper, head of the OBA.

14:04 The Russians attacked with ballistics a transport and logistics facility of the port infrastructure in the Odessa region. The blast wave and rocket debris damaged private homes, and one casualty is currently known, the Southern Defense Forces reported.

13:40 Russian troops fired from the Smerch MLRS in the city of Ukrainsk, Donetsk region - one person was killed, four were injured, the regional prosecutor's office reported. Six apartment buildings were damaged.

13:19 In Sevastopol, the rescue ship Kommuna was damaged as a result of a missile attack, the Crimean Wind monitoring group reports, citing OSINT intelligence data. The ship was at berth No. 14. Kommuna is a rarity, the oldest ship of the Russian Navy and the oldest ship in the world actually in service and performing combat missions. Commissioned in 1915. The ship is designed to search and rescue submarines, and also acts as a carrier of underwater vehicles.

The speaker of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmitry Pletenchuk, commented on the information about the attack on the ship: “The Russian invaders continue to cover their combat units with support vessels from the Black Sea Fleet. This, in principle, is their almost new tactic.”

11:27 Air Force Speaker Ilya Yevlash also predicts that the Russians will maximize the intensity of missile and drone strikes, taking advantage of the time until American aid arrives in Ukraine.

11:23 Germany plans to give Ukraine equipment from its closed power plants, said Energy Minister German Galushchenko.

11:04 Public accounts write about a missile attack on a ship in Sevastopol Bay and publish a video. Local Gauleiter Mikhail Razvozhaev announced an attack by an anti-ship missile, which was allegedly repulsed. He said the debris caused a "small fire."

10:36 The first tranche of weapons from the United States will arrive in Ukraine a few days after the signing of the law on providing a new aid package, Pentagon Speaker Patrick Ryder said.

09:22 The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) predicts that Russian troops will step up offensive operations, as well as missile and drone strikes in the coming weeks. Sudan war fuelled by weapons from foreign actors in violation of sanctions - UN
[AFRICANEWS] The United Nations
...an organization conceived in the belief that we're just one big happy world, with the sort of results you'd expect from such nonsense...
Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Rosemary Anne DiCarlo briefed the Security Council on the situation in Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
on Friday (Apr. 19).

The war in Sudan has sparked "a crisis of epic proportions" fuelled by weapons from foreign supporters who continue to flout U.N. sanctions, DiCarlo added.

"If the parties have been able to sustain their confrontation, it is in no small part thanks to the material support they receive from outside the Sudan," she said.

"These external actors continue to flout the sanctions regime imposed by the Council to support a political settlement, thereby fuelling the conflict. This is illegal, it is immoral and it must stop."

The sanctions regime imposed on Sudan by the resolution 1591 mentions parties in the conflict in Darfur which broke in the early 2000s. It includes an embargo on arms and ammunition as well as assets freezes.

Mohammed Ibn Chambas, chair of the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
panel on Sudan and high representative for its Silence the Guns in Africa initiative, called external interference "a major factor compounding both the efforts to negotiate a cease-fire and to stop the war."

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Palestinian assailants killed near Hebron, IDF says; Israeli man injured by explosive
[IsraelTimes] No injuries to Israeli forces in first incident at Beit Einun Junction; man hit by bomb had been trying to kick down Palestinian flag planted in field

Israel Defense Forces soldiers shot and killed two Paleostinian attackers who opened fire on and tried to stab troops near the West Bank city of Hebron, the military said Sunday.

Elsewhere in the West Bank, an Israeli man was lightly injured by a small bomb attached to a Paleostinian flag planted in a field.

In the first incident, two men approaching the Beit Einun Junction at around 7 a.m. tried to attack soldiers. One of the men pulled out a knife and tried to stab them, and the second then opened fire with a gun, the army said. Troops returned fire at both attackers, "neutralizing" them, the IDF said. No soldiers were maimed. According to medics, both Paleostinian men were killed. They were not immediately identified.

In reported footage from near the attack posted online, a single gunshot could be heard, followed by several shots after a short pause.

Another photo posted online showed a man lying on a sidewalk at the intersection as a soldier trains a rifle on him.

Later Sunday morning, an off-duty IDF reservist was lightly injured as a result of an improvised bomb near the West Bank settlement of Kohav HaShahar, medics and the army said. The man was trying to remove a Paleostinian flag on the side of Route 458 when it went kaboom!Graphic footage filmed by a passenger in a car showed a man walking up to a flag attached to a flagpole planted in a field. As he swings a leg to kick it down, an explosive goes off under him.

The man, identified as 28-year-old Israeli Levi, was treated at the scene for minor injuries and later taken to Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek hospital, the Magen David Adom ambulance service said. He had initially declined transport to a hospital.

Levi told the Ynet news site that "it was a serious bomb, but luckily I gave it a kick and the earth-shattering kaboom happened to the side, and not on me."

Levi said fragments hit him in the hands, causing minor injuries.

The IDF said it had dispatched troops to the scene to search for suspects.

In another attack Sunday, Paleostinian button men in the northern West Bank shot up the Israeli community of Kibbutz Meirav, the IDF said. There were no injuries in the attack, but slight damage was caused to one of the homes.

Meirav lies close to the Green Line, which separates Israel from the West Bank. While Paleostinians periodically carry out shooting attacks against Israelis in the West Bank, shooting attacks from the West Bank into Israel are less common.

The army said troops were blocking roads and scanning the area for the suspects.

Amid searches in the town of Jalbun, from which the attack was carried out, Paleostinians hurled an explosive at the troops, the IDF said. There were no injuries.

Two other attacks on troops were reported overnight.

Shots were fired at the Salam army outpost in the northern West Bank, near the Paleostinian city of Jenin, causing no injuries. In addition, shots were also fired at a military vehicle near the village of Bayt Sira in the northern West Bank. There were no injuries although some bullets hit the vehicle.

Cart hijacking and fake applications: new methods of cyber fraud

[REGNUM] Today, criminals are using new methods of deception using various technologies to lure money from Russians who trust them. As law enforcement officers and experts say, scammers disguise themselves well and take advantage of the peculiarities of our psychology. In theory, most of our fellow citizens know such deception schemes and can recognize a cybercriminal. However, in practice, scammers often successfully intimidate users, gain their trust, or take advantage of their carelessness. After which people commit rash acts and part with their savings.

Europe
Parisians protest against Islamophobia amid Gaza war tensions
[IsraelTimes] French court allows demonstration to go ahead, overruling police ban that cited risk of antisemitic hate crimes and violence
It’s not a phobia if it’s a legitimate concern.
A crowd of around 2,000 people protested in Gay Paree against racism, Islamophobia
...the irrational fear that Moslems will act the way they usually do...
and violence against children on Sunday after a court allowed their demonstration to go ahead.

Bans on protests have been more frequent in La Belle France in recent months, due to tensions stirred by the ongoing Israel-Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede, war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
. In a country that is home to large Moslem and Jewish communities, authorities have banned many pro-Paleostinian demonstrations and public gatherings, citing the risk of antisemitic hate crimes and violence.

On Sunday, the protesters marched peacefully from the multi-ethnic Barbes neighborhood toward Place de la Republique. Many rolled their eyes, jumped up and down, and hollered poorly rhymed slogans real loud remembering Nahel, a 17-year-old of North African descent who was fatally shot during a police traffic stop last year.

Gay Paree police chief Laurent Nunez told broadcaster BFM TV that he initially chose to ban the march because, in announcing the protest, the organizers had likened French police violence to the war in Gaza, and he felt the event could cause a threat to public order.

That argument was rejected by Gay Paree’s administrative court in a fast-tracked decision.

"Fighting and mobilizing for the protection of all children is normal, it should be," said Yessa Belkgodja, one of the organizers of the march, welcoming the court’s decision.

"If we are banned from protesting, it means we don’t have the right to express ourselves in La Belle France... We are being monitored on social media. That’s enough, leave us alone," said Yamina Ayad, a retiree who was wrapped in the Paleostine flag.

A similar ban on a pro-Paleostinian protest in Gay Paree happened in 2021 during a weekslong conflict between Israel and Gaza-based terrorists. At the time, French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin explained his reasoning for wanting to ban the protest based on violent mostly peaceful demonstrations in 2014.

Several demonstrations took place in La Belle France in July 2014 to denounce Israel during the war then raging in Gaza. On July 19, 2014, several thousand protesters defied a ban on a demonstration at Barbes and the rally rapidly degenerated into violent mostly peaceful festivities that lasted for hours.

In January, the Council of Jewish Institutions in La Belle France (CRIF) reported that antisemitic acts in La Belle France nearly quadrupled since the October 7 Hamas massacre in southern Israel, in which close to 1,200 people, mostly civilians, were slain, and 253 were kidnapped to Gaza.

Citing figures from the French interior ministry and a French-Jewish security watchdog, CRIF said there were 1,676 antisemitic acts in 2023 compared to 436 the year prior, with nearly 60 percent of those acts being attacks involving physical violence threatening words or menacing gestures.

La Belle France is home to Europe’s largest Jewish community and the largest number of Moslems on the continent, although no precise figures are available as the country’s census does not include religious identity.

Arab MK petitions court to let him visit Fatah leader and terror convict Barghouti
[IsraelTimes] Ahmad Tibi demands injunction against Ben Gvir for gutting policy that let MKs exercise ’oversight’ regarding Paleostinian security prisoners’ conditions

Veteran Arab politician Ahmad Tibi on Sunday petitioned the Supreme Court
...the political football known as The Highest Court in the Land, home of penumbrae and emanations...
to allow him to meet with Paleostinian security prisoners, saying National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s blanket refusal to allow such meetings is discriminatory and contravenes the principle of legislative oversight. MK Tibi, represented by legal non-profit Adalah, specifically demanded a meeting with top Fatah figure Marwan Barghouti, a highly popular Paleostinian leader and former head of Fatah’s Tanzim terrorist faction, who, in 2002, was sentenced to five life sentences for his part in planning three terror attacks that killed five Israelis during the Second Intifada.

According to Tibi, a policy put in place by the last Knesset allowing such meetings had been nullified by Ben Gvir at the beginning of the current one, even as members of the minister’s own Death Eater Otzma Yehudit party have been allowed to visit Jewish terror convicts.

After Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",’s shock October 7 assault, when thousands of murderous Moslems stormed southern Israel to kill nearly 1,200 people and take over 250 hostages, Ben Gvir announced a worsening in the conditions of Paleostinian prisoners, whom the Red Thingy has not visited since October 25, according to Tibi’s petition.

"For half a year now, there has been no effective external oversight on the jailing conditions, and MK Tibi’s visit is especially important in these circumstances," read an Adalah blurb announcing the High Court petition.

"We are dealing with a case where the overseen party is preventing the overseer from overseeing him," read the petition, which, in addition to Ben Gvir, named as respondents the Knesset, the attorney general, and the acting Israel Prison Service chief.

The petition also noted that a recent request by Tibi to meet terror convict Walid Daqqa was ignored by Ben Gvir until after the inmate’s death, when the politician was told his request had been rendered "irrelevant."

It was urgent to meet Barghouti, the petition said, because of recent "reports regarding his harsh jailing conditions, including long stints of solitary confinement." Barghouti, who has himself petitioned the High Court over his conditions, was said to have told his family he was repeatedly beaten by prison guards — including to the point of losing consciousness. Barghouti’s lawyer had seen signs of violence on his client’s face, back, and legs, according to Tibi’s petition.

Barghouti, one of the prisoners whose release has reportedly been demanded by Hamas in exchange for the Israeli hostages, is widely considered a leading rival of Paleostinian Authority President the ineffectual Mahmoud Abbas
...aka Abu Mazen, a graduate of the prestigious unaccredited Patrice Lumumba University in Moscow with a doctorate in Holocaust Denial. While no Yasser Arafat, he has his own brand of evil, just a little more lowercase....
. Although both belong to the secular Fatah party, Barghouti launched a slate of candidates separate from Abbas’s during the 2021 Paleostinian Authority elections, which the president ultimately canceled.

Gershon Baskin, a former negotiator for Israel with Hamas, has called for the release of Barghouti as a solution for Israel’s "day after" concerns about Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
’s governance when the war sparked by Hamas’s assault is over. According to Baskin, if Barghouti were to assume leadership of the Paleostinians, he could provide Israel with an alternative to a full occupation of Gaza and the empowerment of a local Paleostinian administration that would inevitably be branded as traitorous by its peers.

Sister of Hamas chief indicted for praising Oct. 7 attack, ties to terror group
[IsraelTimes] Sabah al-Salem Haniyeh, one of three Israeli sisters of the exiled Hamas politburo chief, faces nearly 20 years in prison

A sister of Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
leader Ismail Haniyeh
...became Prime Minister of Gaza after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank...
was indicted in an Israeli court Sunday for supporting the terror group and cheering on its October 7 attack on southern Israel.

Sabah al-Salem Haniyeh,
…previously in our archives as Sabah Avad al-Salam Haniyeh…
57, was charged in Beersheba’s Magistrate’s Court with identifying with a proscribed terrorist organization and incitement to terrorism, three weeks after she was arrested during a raid on the Israeli town of Tel Sheva, where she lives.

Haniyeh stands accused of having sent two WhatsApp messages to dozens of her contacts, including Haniyeh himself, "praising, encouraging and supporting" Hamas’s actions on October 7 when it slaughtered some 1,200 Israelis and perpetrated mass atrocities in southern Israel.

Three messages sent to WhatsApp groups on October 9 and October 10 asked members to pass around a prayer that would help "destroy the enemy." The messages included a prayer beseeching God to " count them in number and kill them and do not leave any one of them."

Haniyeh was hit with three counts of incitement to terrorism, which carries a five-year prison sentence, and two counts of identifying with a terrorist organization, which carries with it a three-year prison sentence were she to be convicted.

The State Attorney’s Office requested that the court order Haniyeh to be held in detention until the end of the legal proceedings against her.

Haniyeh, the Hamas political leader, lives in exile in Doha, Qatar

in 2013 via Egypt. They were both given eight-month suspended sentences for the visits in 2015.

Later that year, Israel denied Haniyeh’s request that his sisters be permitted to attend his son’s wedding in Gaza.

The three sisters all have Israeli citizenship and according to a 2006 report from the UK’s Daily Telegraph newspaper, some of their children have served in the Israeli Defense Forces.
Spying out enemy methods and resources or rebelling against the ideal of their parents?
Police arrested Sabah al-Salem Haniyeh on April 1 in a joint raid with the Shin Bet that was dubbed "Early Dawn."

Police said that during a raid on the suspect’s home officers found documents, media, telephones and other evidence linking her to "serious security offenses."

Police also said they found hundreds of thousands of shekels in cash at the premises.
That’s one way to finance Israel’s security operations.
Southern District commander Superintendent Amir Cohen vowed at the time that his forces "will use all the means and tools at its disposal, everywhere, in order to create deterrence at the same time as thwarting terrorist attacks, with the aim of ensuring the safety and security of the citizens of Israel," according to the police’s statement.

Russians are trying to break through the defense of the Armed Forces in the Donetsk direction: more than 100 attacks per day
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[LB] During the past 24 hours, 115 combat clashes took place.

by Ivanna Kapustyanska

The 788th day of large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine began.

During the past 24 hours, 115 combat clashes took place.

Current information on the situation on the front line: April 21 (updated)
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[NewsFront] 23:58 Official summary of the DPR Representative Office in the JCCC from 00:00 04/21/2024 to 00:00 04/22/2024.

Four facts of armed attacks by the UFU were recorded by the DPR.

Representative Office in the JCCC over the past 24 hours.
There were no reports of civilian casualties.

DAMAGED:
No damage to residential buildings and civil infrastructure was recorded.

Three attacks in the Donetsk direction.
One artillery attack in the Gorlovka direction.
A total of 10 units of various ammunition were fired.

23:42 Powerful explosion rang out in the port area of Odessa.

In all likelihood, our aviation sent the X-59 missile to the dry landers.

21:07 An explosion occurred in Kharkov, according to the Telegram channel of the publication Zerkalo Nedeli.

“The explosion occurred in the city of Kharkov,” the publication says.

19:31 What does taking the settlement give us? Bogdanovka is disassembled by “Archangel of Special Forces”:

The capture of Bogdanovka gives our troops additional logistics capabilities and the ability to cover the village. Chasov Yar further from the north and exits through forested areas to the Seversky Donets - Donbass canal.

Also, the presence of a large number of basements in a populated area will make it possible to place fire weapons and drone operators closer, move reserves closer and continue further assault operations.

In general, this is limited to this for now, since the enemy continues to retain the dominant heights to the north and north-west of Bogdanovka, but soon they will be knocked out of the enemy from these heights.

The situation as a whole is characterized as complex, but controllable, with a tendency to escalate as enemy reserves are transferred for a further counterattack.

19:27 Signalmen of the Vostok group of troops provide command and control of troops in the South Donetsk direction -video.

19:20 Ocheretinsky direction - the situation for the evening of April 21 is described by Yuri Podolyaka:

Our units continued the assault on the settlement today. Ocheretino. The enemy, who the day before failed to drive us out of its south-eastern outskirts, today was forced to retreat in the southern part of the settlement and so far he has only managed to prevent us from entering its northern part.

Today there were battles for the Ocheretino railway station, and this advance is gradually complicating the situation for the enemy’s strongholds in the area south of Novobakhmutovka and Solovyov. Moreover, ours have been storming Novobakhmutovka for the second day. But so far no success.

The fall of these two villages will essentially nullify the value of the next line of defense in the village. Novoselovka First - Novopokrovskoye and will make it impossible for the enemy to hold the northwestern part of Berdychi.

Moreover, today there were also battles all day in the Semyonovka and Novokalinovo areas.

18:45 Analysis of the operational-combat situation on the Avdeevsky sector of the front from the “Donbass Partisan”:

The Russian Armed Forces, increasing the intensity of hostilities, were able to knock out the remnants of the Ukrainian formations from the village of Semyonovka.

Information is received about the enemy's retreat from Berdychi. Russian attack aircraft attacked the enemy from three directions, effectively depriving him of the opportunity to carry out any logistics and rotation activities.

Also, in recent days, Russian aviation has continuously attacked positions occupied by the enemy in order to weaken resistance from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Russian units continue assault operations in Novokalinovo. Advancement of infantry groups from the eastern side of the settlement is noted.

In the area of Novobakhmutovka and Ocheretino, military clashes continue, with high intensity recorded on both sides. Particular attention of the RF Armed Forces is aimed at controlling the area between Ocheretino and Novokalinov in order to gain a tactical advantage and the opportunity for a further attack on Ocheretino and pressure on the northern part of the settlement.

At the moment, the assault on Ocheretino continues and the movement towards its center and the railway station, where the enemy has created fortifications, which may slow down the pace of the offensive of Russian units and require additional efforts to overcome the defense.

18:36 The first confirmed defeat of the new Canadian armored vehicle Senator MRAP, transferred to Ukrainian forces as military assistance. Armored car knocked out drone pilots of the 14th Brigade of the Special Forces of the Russian Armed Forces in the South Donetsk direction.

18:30 Donetsk direction: continuation of the battles for Krasnogorovka. Situation at 18:00 April 21, 2024

West of Donetsk, Russian troops continue to engage in heavy fighting on the southern and eastern outskirts of Krasnohorivka. Military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces regularly try to push through the enemy’s defenses, while the Ukrainian Armed Forces respond with counterattacks.

Thanks to the transfer of additional forces, the Ukrainian command managed to somewhat hold back the onslaught of Russian units. At the same time, massive artillery and aviation strikes by the Russian Armed Forces against enemy positions in the city continue.

Judging by footage from the past few days, Ukrainian forces still maintain a presence on the territory of the Krasnogorovsky refractory plant and the ruins of the industrial zone to the south. Meanwhile, Russian troops firmly control the private sector south of the railway, as well as north of it in the area of Vatutina Street.

To the north, fighting continues at the Pervomaiskoye-Nevel'skoye line. There was an operational pause in the vicinity of the Domakh gully, apparently due to the difficult mine situation. At the same time, the final liberation of the site is also complicated by the activity of Ukrainian UAVs.

A slight decrease in the intensity of artillery attack of the Donetsk agglomeration is also indicative: over the past two days, less than 20 rounds “flew” into Donetsk, and eight into Gorlovka. At the same time, a few weeks earlier, an order of magnitude more ammunition was produced throughout the DPR.

However, this does not mean that populated areas have become safe. The enemy retains the possibility of artillery attack the agglomeration, and almost every day in the region there are casualties, including due to the presence of unexploded ordnance.

17:50 Telegram channel “Kupyansk Nash”, citing its own sources, reports that yesterday at about 17:00 three FABs struck the BC warehouse and the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (about 30 dead and the same number wounded) on the territory of the Energetik dacha cooperative in the village of Kruglyakovka, Kupyansky district, Kharkov region.

17:10 Assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces are knocking out the enemy from positions in the area of the Ocheretino railway station (DPR), military correspondent Yuri Kotenok reports.

17:02 Ugledar direction: fighting on the western outskirts of Novomikhailovka, situation at 17:00 April 21, 2024

Despite reports of the complete liberation of Novomikhailovka, units of the Russian Armed Forces are still continuing the assault. According to the latest information, Russian troops are gaining a foothold on the western and southern outskirts of the settlement.

At about 00:20 Moscow time, the Russian flag was raised on the outermost houses of the village. Therefore, the settlement is indeed almost completely under the control of the RF Armed Forces.

The enemy, in turn, is blowing up buildings and basements, trying to hamper the advance of Russian marines. In a completely swept area, in the absence of natural open ones, there is simply nowhere to gain a foothold, which is what the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to implement.

To the north of Novomikhailovka, most of the Mashinostroitel SNT came under the control of Russian troops, but Ukrainian forces still hold about a third of the dacha development.

16:47 From the Urozhainy area in the Donetsk direction, the Front Bird reports:

“The extremely successful work of our tactical aviation of the 11th Army is reported. Su-34 bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces hit several strongholds of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and an enemy radar station in the area of the village of Urozhainoye.”

16:37 Crew of the Tor air defense system of the 140th anti-aircraft missile brigade destroyed UAV "Furia" in the Ugledar direction.

16:16 Combat work of the crew of unmanned aerial vehicles of the Dnepr group of troops in the Zaporozhye region -video.

15:47 Analysis of the operational-combat situation in the South Donetsk direction from Donbass Partisan

Russian units, having carried out successful assault operations, knocked out the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Novomikhailovka, forcing the enemy to retreat and take defensive positions in Paraskovievka. At the moment, a cleanup is being carried out in the locality.

Russian attack aircraft are actively expanding their control zones over key roads. Occupying a significant part of the Sladkoe-Vodyanoe road threatens to physically cut off the Ugledar-Konstantinovka highway for Ukrainian formations. In turn, this could lead to restricting the enemy’s movement and strengthening the control of the Russian armed forces in this sector of the front.

The loss of enemy positions between Mar'inka and Pobeda is recorded, which is confirmed by the Ukrainian news segment.

The intensity of hostilities in Krasnogorovka and Georgievka continues unabated. The Russian Aerospace Forces are actively working on enemy-occupied lines to weaken the positions of Ukrainian formations and further offensive actions by Russian attack aircraft.

15:05 Battle of Chasov Yar: clearing the outskirts of Bogdanovka, situation as of 15:00 April 21, 2024.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian troops continue to expand the zone of control on the flanks near Chasov Yar.

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed the taking of Bogdanovka under full control. Due to the massive fire impact, the Ukrainian Armed Forces abandoned their positions in the southwestern part of the village a couple of days ago.

On the eastern outskirts of Chasov Yar, there have been fierce battles in recent weeks in the Kanal microdistrict near school No. 77. It is currently impossible to take possession of the building due to the mining of the area and constant enemy counterattacks.

South of Chasov Yar, Russian troops are advancing along the T-0504 highway in the direction of Konstantinovka. From the enemy's side, footage of attacks on armored vehicles of the Russian Armed Forces at the exit from Krasnoye regularly appears.

14:47 IX leaders of the 25th Army hit the Leopard of the Ukrainian Armed Forces -video.

14:30 In Odessa, an explosion occurred in the area of the port infrastructure, said the mayor of the city, Gennady Trukhanov.

13:44 From the northern flank of the Avdeevsky direction, “Reports and Analytics of the North Military District” reports:

“Since early morning there has been an active assault on enemy positions along the entire length of this sector. The Russian Army continues to develop success in Berdychi, Novokalinov, Ocheretino, Novobakhmutovka.

Also at these minutes, the section between Ocheretin and Novokalinov is being cut off. The capture of this area will give our army an advantage in the assault on Ocheretino and the possibility of putting pressure on the northern part of the village. An active assault on Ocheretino and movement towards the center and the railway “station”, where traditionally the enemy has created a powerful fortified area, also continues. We are working"

13:30 An explosion occurred near Odessa in the Chernomorsk region, Ukrainian media report. Earlier, an air raid alert was announced in the region.

13:20 Operational-tactical aviation, missile forces and artillery of groupings of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during the day destroyed: a MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force at the Dnepr airfield, as well as a control center, an air target detection radar and a launcher for the S-300PS anti-aircraft missile system.

He said that looking after the bereaved families of the officials was now a responsibility of the government and directed Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) chairman to prepare shuhada package for the bereaved families.

This is the second time that Customs officials came under attack in DI Khan in the same week. On April 18, six people, including five Customs officials, were killed in a firing incident in the KP district.

The law enforcers said the person or persons unknown targeted the Customs officials on the Sago Road in Daraban tehsil of the district.

The armed attackers, who hid in bushes, attacked the Customs’ vehicle and expeditiously departed at a goodly pace unchallenged on cycle of violences.

Due to the attack, the driver of the Customs vehicle lost control and collided with another vehicle, resulting in the death of the citizen.

According to the statistics issued by the Department of Interior and Tribal Affairs KP, the areas most affected by terrorism include Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistain's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire...
, Khyber, Bajaur, and Tank while Dera Ismail Khan and North Wazoo and South Waziristan are included in the terror-affected areas.

McDonald's worker, 15, left with fractured skull after adult male with rap sheet stomps her
[NYPOST] — A goon with a lengthy criminal history viciously assaulted a 15-year-old female McDonald’s worker — dragging her by the hair and repeatedly stomping on her head in the parking lot after a rowdy group of customers provoked a brawl with employees inside the restaurant earlier this month, according to cops.

Johnny Ricks, 25, was arrested for assault after he allegedly grabbed the teen by her hair and yanked her across the parking lot of the restaurant just outside St. Louis before bashing her head into the concrete and punching her in the face, St. Louis County Police said.

The girl, identified as Aryiah Lynch on a GoFundMe set up by her family, suffered a fractured skull, a broken nose and damage to her frontal lobe.

“This assault has been a life changing experience for her,” the teen’s mother Shawnunique Phillips wrote on the page set up to help cover her medical expenses, which has already raised $13,000 of its $15,000 goal.
Shawnunique?
“She is fighting hard to stay upbeat and heal but this is only the beginning of a very uphill battle,” her mother wrote, saying the incident “shattered” the family’s lives.

The cowardly April 7 attack was captured in a disturbing video posted on Facebook by Phillips, who wrote that Ricks should be charged with child endangerment or attempted murder.

The fight reportedly began when Ricks, accompanied by a group of unidentified adults, pulled up to the drive-thru window at the restaurant and began behaving obnoxiously, according to Lynch’s family.

“It was getting loud…and being obnoxious in the drive-thru, so we said, ‘if you want to get your order taken, step inside,'” the teen told First Alert 4.

The group then stormed inside the McDonald’s and started menacing the workers, throwing items around the restaurant, and spitting on “at least four” employees, she said.

Given the St. Louis areas, DA's catch and release for persons of NON-White color. I am surprised that this POS was even held and not just issued a citation for felony assault and property damage and allowed to walk away.

Either way, it was another Black on Black Crime, which continues to be the Black communities biggest threat.

Chicago is the DNC's Kind of Town?
[AMERICANTHINKER] I’m old enough to remember the 1968 DNC (If you're white you ain't right!)
...Democrat National Committee, where all those off-the-wall talking points originate...
convention in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
, and smart enough to see that Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson
<...Hizzonner da Mare of Chicago. He was elected in April 2023 to replace the disastrous Lori Lightfoot and immediately set about out-Richtering her. A member of the Democratic Party (naturally), Johnson previously worked as a social studies teacher in the city's stellar public schools system. He helped organize the 2012 teachers strike. Prior to becoming Da Mare, he served on the Cook County Board of Boodlng Commissioners from 2018 to 2023...
is no Richard J. Daley. So, as food prices rise with no end in sight, I advise you to stock up on popcorn before the August 19 convention in Chicago this year. As for the Democrats, I cannot imagine a scenario where there is anything but downsides for picking this site, this year.
Brandon really needs to lose the GI issue "birth control glasses" to be taken seriously.
In case you forgot, the 1968 convention began with ominous foreboding. True, the mayor had done everything he could to prettify the city, including screening the stockyards with redwood fences, but he knew the anti-Vietnam protestors would target the convention and mobilized the National Guard with orders to shoot if necessary.

What followed was worse than even the direst pessimist could have envisioned. Written in 2008, this author described the scene and aftermath:

The 1968 Chicago convention became a lacerating event, a distillation of a year of heartbreak, liquidations, riots and a breakdown in law and order that made it seem as if the country were coming apart. In its psychic impact, and its long-term political consequences, it eclipsed any other such convention in American history, destroying faith in politicians, in the political system, in the country and in its institutions. No one who was there, or who watched it on television, could escape the memory of what took place before their eyes.

Include me in that group, for I was an eyewitness to those scenes: inside the convention hall, with daily shouting matches between red-faced delegates and party leaders often lasting until 3 o'clock in the morning; outside in the violence that descended after Chicago coppers took off their badges and waded into the chanting crowds of protesters to club them to the ground. I can still recall the choking feeling from the tear gas hurled by police amid throngs of protesters gathering in parks and hotel lobbies.

For Democrats in particular, Chicago was a disaster. It left the party with scars that last to this day, when they meet in a national convention amid evidence of internal divisions unmatched since 1968. [snip]

The violence that rent the convention throughout that week, much of it captured live on television, confirmed both the Democrats' pessimism and the country's judgment of a political party torn by dissension and disunity. In November the party would lose the White House to Nixon's law-and-order campaign. In the nine presidential elections since, Democrats have won only three, and only once -- in 1976, after the Watergate scandal forced Nixon to resign in disgrace -- did they take, barely, more than 50 percent of the votes.

Gaza war: Deadly strike on Rafah, Israel raids Nur Shams camp in West Bank
[AFRICANEWS] This Saturday (Apr. 20), as has been the case almost everyday for the past 6 months in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, funeral prayers were held.

The Israeli military operation in the enclave has flattened mosques, churches, schools, hospitals as well as archaeological sites.

The latest Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
in southern Gaza city of Rafah which occured on Friday night killed at least 9 Paleostinians, including 6 children leaving surviving relatives in despair.

"I don't want to say anything to the world or to anyone because this is an unjust world," the bereaved father says, holding his deceased daughetr in his arms. "This is a world deprived of all human values and morals. It only understands the language of power."

"They bombed a house full of displaced people, women and kiddies, in this manner."

Rafah currently hosts more than half of Gaza’s total population of about 2.3 million people, the vast majority of whom have been displaced by fighting elsewhere.

Those who are not killed by strikes face hunger especially in northern Gaza where a UN-backed report has warned of imminent famine.

IDF wraps up 50-hour operation in Nur Shams refugee camp: 10 soldiers hurt, 14 Palestinian gunmen killed
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says it has wrapped up a 50-hour-long operation in the West Bank’s Nur Shams refugee camp, adjacent to Tulkarem.

Amid the raid, troops killed 14 button men in festivities, detained 15 wanted Paleostinians, discovered and destroyed dozens of explosives, and captured weapons, according to the military.

Nine soldiers and one Border Police officer were hurt during the festivities. They were listed in good and moderate condition.

Paleostinian media initially reported that the commander of a local Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
wing in Tulkarem was killed amid the raid, although reports now say that Muhammad Jaber, known as Abu Shuja’a, did not actually die. He is purportedly seen in footage at the funerals of other button men.

Olde Tyme Religion
'I'm not angry at him, he's just stupid'
[FOXNEWS] A Catholic bishop in Michigan weighed in on the discrepancy between President Biden's policies and his professed Catholic faith earlier this month, suggesting "forgiveness" for the president's "stupidity."

Bishop Robert Gruss of the Diocese of Saginaw mentioned Biden during "Forgiveness as the Heart of Christianity," a lecture given on Apr. 5 at the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption.

In the discussion, Gruss urged congregants to let go of unproductive anger and resentment towards others — citing his own experience growing up with an alcoholic father and a letter he wrote in adulthood forgiving him for the trauma of his youth.

Asking the faithful to interrogate their own hatreds and resentments, the bishop pointed out that destructive lack of forgiveness does not apply only to individuals they know, but also public figures and institutions.

"If you're harboring bad, negative, resentful feelings towards our president, you're not free," Gruss said. "Otherwise, you're letting him control you and your thoughts and your words and your actions. And I guarantee that if he is a problem for you, then those thoughts, words, and actions are negative — they're gonna come out and then we commit sin. That's what sin is."

The bishop urged the faithful to note such destructive resentments when seeking the Sacrament of Reconciliation, the practice through which Catholics believe God forgives the sins they confess.

"How many times have you confessed your anger towards the president?" the bishop asked, provoking unintended laughter from the audience. But the bishop continued, "I'm serious, I'm not kidding. If you have it, you should be confessing it. Otherwise, you're not free."

#4  I don’t think that many people are angry with Biden. He evokes embarrassment, disgust and sometimes pity, but there is also an obligation to work to stop him. Would anyone let a drunken beggar grope and rob them? There are people that need to be hung at the end of all this. Hanging Biden makes little sense. There should be some accountability for him, but I can’t see him being able to participate in his own defense. Probably, GITMO is fine.

Trump Campaign and RNC Reveal Massive Election Integrity Program
A wonderful idea, long overdue.
[Breitbart] The Republican National Committee (RNC), partnered with the Trump campaign, is launching a massive election integrity program ahead of the November 2024 election.

The RNC is dubbing this the "most extensive and monumental election integrity program in the nation’s history." The program includes five areas of "observation" in the process, which the press release said will "guarantee coverage, and aggressive attorneys will be engaged at all these stages to stop Democrat attempts to circumvent rules."

The five areas are as follows:

  • Logic & Accuracy Machine Testing
  • Early Voting
  • Election Day Voting
  • Mail Ballot Processing: Adjudication & Duplication
  • Post-Election: Canvass, Audits, Recounts

Poll watching is a huge part of it as well, and the program, in partnership with grassroots individuals and "legal experts," is offering "comprehensive training sessions" every month on monitoring.

"These trainings will equip volunteers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively oversee potential problems in the electoral process, guaranteeing that every vote is counted accurately and fairly," the press release reads.

Poll watchers will be working with the guidance of lawyers via State Republican War Rooms, as every single battleground state will have an "Election Integrity Hotline."

Cases of sending subpoenas to deceased citizens have been clarified in Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Cases of sending summonses to deceased citizens were explained in Ukraine by untimely updating of their data by those liable for military service. The press service of the Kyiv city territorial center for recruitment and social support (TCC, an analogue of the military registration and enlistment office) reported this on April 21 on the social network.

“Information has spread on the Internet about a summons that was sent to the address of a deceased citizen of Ukraine in the Obolonsky district of Kyiv. We inform you that such cases are not isolated and occur due to the fact that citizens do not update their personal data on time directly at the territorial recruitment and social support centers,” the TCC message explains.

According to the Ukrainian publication Glavkom, an incident occurred in Kyiv with a summons that was sent to the address where sports journalist Artyom Frankov, who died in 2023, lived.

Earlier, IA Regnum reported that the Committee on Youth and Sports of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine considered a bill on introducing the subject “defense of Ukraine” in schools and recommended its adoption at a plenary meeting.

The purpose of the bill is to develop in schoolchildren primary general military knowledge and special competence related to defense consciousness. It is expected that the new subject will help them understand the responsibility for armed defense of the state.

In addition, separate units for digging trenches and building infrastructure may appear in the Armed Forces of Ukraine; prisoners who want to mobilize will serve in them.

On April 16, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, signed a law on tightening mobilization in Ukraine. The document will come into force in a month. The new law, among other things, provides for the abolition of a deferment from mobilization for fathers of three or more children who do not fulfill their child support obligations for more than three months.

Unexploded bomb from 1999 NATO bombing found in Serbia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] In Serbia, in the city of Nis, an unexploded bomb from the 1999 NATO bombing was discovered. 1.3 thousand residents were evacuated, the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs reported on April 21.

The bomb was found during excavation work in the residential area of Stevan Sindjelic.

“The operation to neutralize the bomb will be carried out by employees of the Department for the Destruction of Explosive Devices of the Emergency Sector of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, we are talking about an MK 84 aerial bomb weighing 1 ton with 430 kg of explosive,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs quoted the head of the sector, Luka Ceausic, who deployed an operational headquarters in Nis.

After the detonator is removed, the ammunition will be transported through blocked streets outside the city and destroyed in a controlled explosion.

In 1999, armed confrontation between the Kosovo Liberation Army and the Serbian army and police led to the bombing of the Republic of Yugoslavia, then consisting of Serbia and Montenegro, by NATO forces. This happened without the approval of the UN Security Council and on the basis of allegations by Western countries about alleged ethnic cleansing by the authorities of the republic in the Kosovo autonomy. NATO airstrikes continued from March 24 to June 10. The city of Nis was a constant target of NATO aircraft with a record for the duration of the air raid of 57 days. During the bombing of Niš, 26 civilians, 22 military and nine policemen were killed, army and Ministry of Internal Affairs facilities, schools, hospitals, industrial facilities and public buildings, and residential buildings were damaged. In 2000, a local resident stumbled upon an unexploded cluster shell in the grass and died.

As Regnum reported, in February in St. Petersburg, during the construction of the Putilovskaya metro station, a shell from the Great Patriotic War was found. The work was urgently stopped, access to the construction site was closed and the emergency services were reported about the find. Before this, in early August, almost 200 artillery shells from the Great Patriotic War of 20 mm caliber were found in Moscow. They were discovered during excavation work near the railway tracks.

[Regnum] The crew of one of the Russian warships on the northern side of Sevastopol successfully repelled an anti-ship missile attack. The city governor, Mikhail Razvozhaev, announced this on April 21on his Telegram channel.

“In the morning, on one of the ships on the North side, the military repelled an attack by an anti-ship missile,” he wrote.

According to Razvozzhaev, as a result of falling fragments, a small fire broke out on the ship, which was promptly extinguished by the crew.

As Regnum reported, earlier on April 21, car traffic was temporarily blocked on the Crimean Bridge. Citizens on the bridge and in the inspection zone were asked to remain calm in this regard.

On April 19, Razvozzhaev reported that an air target had been destroyed near Sevastopol by air defense forces. The governor clarified that the target was shot down over the sea, and added that infrastructure facilities in the city were not damaged.

Why does the West need 'decolonization' of Russia?
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited
    by Gevorg Mirzayan

[REGNUM] Russia must be decolonized. This demand was recently voiced by the authoritative, at least in its own eyes, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. During the period of Russian membership in PACE, the favorite pastime of the organization, created for dialogue between East and West, to find common denominators and mutually respectful communication, was to criticize Moscow for all its sins and then listen to the excuses of Russian officials in the hall. And when Moscow left the Council of Europe after the start of the Central Military District, PACE seemed to have lost its reason for existence. However, the deputies did not despair and began to criticize Russia in absentia.
