Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Hamas Disappointed Liberals Don't Believe They Massacred Jews After They Went To All The Trouble To Livestream It
[Bee] GAZA — Members of the terrorist organization Hamas were left frustrated after hearing many leftists in the United States and throughout the world were skeptical that Hamas had brutally massacred over 1,300 Jewish civilians after Hamas had put serious effort into livestreaming the atrocities.

"What's a guy have to do around here to get credit for mass murder?" asked Hamas terrorist Durka Mohammed. "We provide video after video clearly identifying our victims as helpless women and children, we film the execution, we leave the bodies out for evidence...what more do you people want from us??"

Despite the live video evidence from Hamas itself, documents from Hamas showing elementary schools as intended targets, thousands of photographs, and eyewitness testimony from both sides of the massacre, many liberals in the United States remain unconvinced that Hamas committed mass murder. "Sounds like a Jewish trick to me," said proud Democrat Dean Stinson. "Sure, it looks like Hamas is shooting women live on the internet, but I've seen movies where it looks like people get shot, and of course the Jews run Hollywood - so yeah. Plus, I heard someone say Hamas decapitated a baby, and while I've seen pictures of several babies shot to death by Hamas, I have yet to see a decapitated baby. So it's all Jewish propaganda."

At publishing time, in the wake of the remaining skepticism, Hamas members were reportedly running out of ways to definitively show how their entire goal in life was to kill Jews. "I guess we'll just have to start going door to door in America to show them in person. Actually, to be honest, that was going to be our plan all along. Surprise!"

UK convicts Moroccan of murdering retiree so ‘Palestine would be free from Zionists'
[IsraelTimes] Ahmed Alid, 45, stabbed elderly man to death in the week after Oct. 7 massacre, also wounded housemate in chest while screaming ’Allahu Akbar’ and assaulted two police officers

Ahmed Alid, 45, stabbed 70-year-old Terence Carney six times after a chance meeting in the street in Hartlepool, northeast England, on October 15, 2023 — eight days after Hamas

snuffies launched their devastating onslaught on Israel.

Alid also attacked his housemate Javed Nouri, a Christian convert, and assaulted two police officers.

He shouted "Allahu Akbar," or "God is greatest," as he repeatedly wounded the sleeping Nouri in the chest, Teesside Crown Court heard at the start of his trial.

The 31-year-old survived the assault but Carney died after being stabbed six times in the chest, abdomen, and back.

The jury at Teesside Crown Court unanimously found Alid guilty of murdering Carney, attempting to murder Nouri, and assaulting the two police officers.

Police arrested Alid close to the murder scene with a bloody knife in his waistband, and he later told officers that he had acted because of the Israel-Hamas war, the court heard.

"He said he had wanted to kill them because of the conflict in Gaza and to further his desire that Paleostine would be free from the Zionists, by which he meant Israel," prosecutor Jonathan Sandiford said.

"The defendant said he would have killed more people if he had been able to do so."

Sandiford added Alid had described Carney as an "innocent victim" during his interrogation, but that he had been killed "because Britain had created the Zionist entity — Israel — and should make it leave."

"They killed children and I killed an old man," he told officers, the prosecutor said.

Yorkshire’s Cleveland Police’s Deputy Chief Constable Victoria Fuller said the killing "shook the local community to its core."

"Alid’s actions not only left a family devastated but also caused significant fear and distress amongst residents in Hartlepool and beyond," she said.

Alid will be sentenced on May 17.

Supreme Court Majority Is Sympathetic to Trump's Immunity Claim With No Trial Likely Before the Election
[Red State] The U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments stemming from Special Counsel Jack Smith's prosecution of former President Donald Trump on felony charges that he conspired to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Jack Smith sent his advocate, Michael Drebeen, a veteran of over 100 Supreme Court appearances and Robert Mueller's unethical investigation of President Trump, into a proverbial Cuisinart of hostile questions. If the questions and statements of the justices are to be taken at face value, Trump's trial will not take place before November's election and possibly not at all.

Trump argues that any actions he took before January 20, 2021, were covered by presidential immunity. Basically, Trump said that if a president were constantly looking over his shoulder, fearing post-presidential prosecution, the office would cease to function. I happen to think that is true. Smith argued that despite the Justice Department's long-standing policy of not prosecuting ex-presidents, Trump poses such a unique threat to the republic that it is necessary in this case.

Crackdown on PFAS: What to know about the ‘forever chemicals' in everyday use
[Washington Examiner] The Biden administration is tightening the screws on "forever chemicals" used in the production of a wide range of consumer goods, such as nonstick cookware, camping gear, and fast-food packaging — a push that industry groups argue is overly restrictive and will drive up costs.

The rules are part of a yearslong Environmental Protection Agency-led push to crack down on air and water pollution from perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl chemicals, or PFAS, which are nearly impossible to break down naturally and are linked to health troubles such as liver and kidney disease, immune problems, and certain cancers.

The agency has proposed or finalized several rules on PFAS: limiting levels in public drinking water, setting new reporting requirements for companies, and allowing the EPA to monitor and fine polluters for improper disposal of the toxins. Other rules are expected to be finalized this summer.

While consumers may not see an immediate impact on store shelves as a result of the EPA’s regulations, which so far deal with the handling and disposal of PFAS toxins rather than dictating their use, they have also given companies a new financial incentive to move away from using PFAS in a bid to avoid public pressure, as well as costly remediation fees.

America Isn't The First Empire Doomed By Open Borders
[Federalist] Like empires before us, we have lost our cultural confidence and moorings, increasing the risk of being overrun by newcomers.

No subject is as central to America’s future and no subject gets to the heart of the failure of our current regime more than immigration policy. As a result, few subjects are as riddled with taboos in their public discussion. What will happen when the ethnic composition of large parts of America is transformed in ways America’s European founders never could have foreseen? And in the interim, what will happen to whites as they continue to lose political power amid their shrinking proportion of the population, as anti-white rhetoric and actions accelerate?

Whether or not you believe that "demography is destiny," these fundamental demographic questions cannot simply be papered over with happy talk. The reality is that the white population, and thus the white voting share of the population, is rapidly diminishing. The fact that whites and "whiteness" are so frequently publicly demonized in a country with a current white voting supermajority does not inspire confidence in how society is likely to treat whites when they are a much-diminished minority.

There is a graphic T-shirt that’s popular in "Indian country" and on some left-wing college campuses. It comes in several versions, but the most popular has several Native Americans in traditional dress hoisting rifles while looking sternly at the camera. "Homeland Security: Fighting Illegal Immigration Since 1492," it reads. Another version with the same picture says, "We should have built a wall."

I chuckled the first time I saw one of these shirts. It’s a clever slogan on its own terms that makes the point that Native Americans, of course, were here when the first white settlers arrived. But upon further thought, I realized the statement it made was profound — it just cut in the opposite direction of the way it was intended.

Judge Aileen Cannon unsealed a trove of documents Monday appearing to reveal a coordinated federal effort to target Trump.
[Federalist] Judge Aileen Cannon unsealed a trove of documents Monday that appear to reveal a coordinated effort within the Biden administration to target Donald Trump with political prosecution after he left office.

Special Counsel Jack Smith and other federal prosecutors in President Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) indicted Trump in June 2023 for allegedly mishandling classified documents at his Mar-a-Lago home. The indictment followed an unprecedented raid on a former president’s home the prior summer.

President Biden also retained classified documents after leaving the vice presidency. Yet he was not charged because prosecutors say they believed he would "present himself to the jury, as he did during our interview with him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."

Here are the three most shocking revelations in the lawfare case against Trump thanks to the newly unsealed documents, in part as pointed out by independent reporter Julie Kelly on X.

IVF Modernizes Ancient Eugenic Practices Of ‘Selective Breeding'
Snippet:
[Federalist] Seneca in the first century CE: "...unnatural progeny we destroy; we drown even children who at birth are weakly and abnormal."

Similarly, in ancient Greece, abortion was encouraged to limit the number of children in families, as was infanticide for babies born with deformities. The Spartan society highly valued marriages that would strengthen the genetic excellence of the population, and therefore partners were selected based on traits such as physical fitness. The government would even intervene and arrange marriages or force divorces if the couples were judged unfit for each other and thereby incapable of producing strong offspring.

#4  The entire process of natural selection (AKA selective breeding) across every species on the planet,(with the modern exception of woke demokrat women) is based on behaviors, appearance, displays by males of the species that demonstrate some aspect of their superiority for breeding and generational success.

Humans are no exception, we simply dismiss the idea that somehow females no longer respond to such displays. See today's Kunstler article for an amusing summation of this in current context!

DA Bragg's Attorneys Make Fatal Error When Revealing Underlying Crime in ‘Hush Money' Case – Trump Attorneys Must Move to Dismiss Now
[Gateway] The attorneys representing the corrupt DA in New York, Alvin Bragg, in their case against President Trump, have made a serious error in their case. President Trump’s attorneys must move to dismiss.

DA Bragg’s case is in serious trouble. The gang behind the prosecution of President Trump made a serious error that should lead President Trump’s team to move to dismiss.
Prosecutors in New York have revealed what the other crime is that Donald Trump was allegedly trying to conceal when he was falsifying business records and they claim it was to unlawfully promote his candidacy. The fatal error is that the NY Statute they cite only applies to elections within the State of New York and not Federal Elections!

Trump was running for the federal office of President of the United States and not a State Office and therefore the premise of what the prosecution is trying to prove as the second crime used to get around the statute of limitations issue and to elevate this business records case to a felony must fail!

Prosecutors also cannot use a federal law as the second crime and additionally, the FEC, Federal Election Commission, declined on two occasions to prosecute the claim against Trump that the alleged hush money payment was in fact a federal violation.

In this case, Bragg and Colangelo, in an exercise of their legal analysis of the law maintain that Trump, Cohen, and Pecker conspired to get Trump elected to President of the United States. This is the basis for the elevation of charges.

This is enough to end the case but that’s not all.

Justice Alito Destroys Jack Smith's Prosecutor During Trump Immunity Oral Arguments with One Question (AUDIO)
[Gateway] The Supreme Court on Thursday heard oral arguments on Trump’s presidential immunity claim in Jack Smith’s January 6 case in DC.

The case made its way to the Supreme Court after the DC Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Trump was not immune from prosecution.

Trump’s lawyers previously argued that Trump is immune from federal prosecution for alleged ’crimes’ committed while he served as US President.

John Sauer, a Missouri-based attorney for Trump, gave an opening statement on Thursday and argued that Jack Smith’s indictment uses vague statutes to criminalize "core authority" of the presidency.

Sauer argued that immunity protects past presidents such as George W. Bush and Barack Obama from being prosecuted for crimes they committed while in federal office.

White House shuts down GOP calls to bring in National Guard for college protests
[HILL] The White House punted on Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-La.) demand for President Biden to call in the National Guard to college campuses amid mass protests over the Israel-Hamas war on Thursday.

Johnson visited Columbia University on Wednesday, the first of major pro-Palestine protests that have spread to dozens of college campuses around the country, and said that Biden should call in the National Guard to quell the peaceful demonstrations.

White House spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre said Thursday that the issue is not up to the president.

"That is something for the governors to decide," she told reporters, noting that Biden has previously criticized the protests as antisemitic.

Johnson went a step further Wednesday, calling the protests "dangerous."

"If this is not contained quickly and if these threats and intimidation are not stopped, there is an appropriate time for the National Guard," he said.

Student and faculty protests have urged the Biden administration to back a permanent cease-fire in the Israel-Hamas war and to stop supplying military aid to Israel, and they have advocated for their universities to divest from Israeli interests.

The SR-71 was NOT CANCELED because of the Russian/ Soviet SA-5 missile.
[Facebook] The SR-71 was NOT CANCELED because of the Russian/ Soviet SA-5 missile. My father and his fellow RSOs and Pilots were not worried about being shot out of the air. You have to remember that the SR-71 had more than just cameras. SR-71 had big ears. The Electronic Warfare (EW) suite listened to the radar targeting frequencies for the missiles from the missiles. There were EW antennas throughout the SR 71. Even at three times the speed of sound, The antennas would pick up the radar pulse.

The SR 71 had a very clever deception jammer. The system received a tracking radar pulse, fiddled with it, and returned it. The returning pulse was just a little stronger. The enemy would be tracking the SR 71 and would find the location, but it was FALSE. The deception jammer had drawn the trackers away from the real SR 71. The enemy thought they were tracking, and in some instances, they felt they had a straightforward kill.

But the real SR 71 was far, far away. This interests me because my father, Colonel Richard “Butch” Sheffield, and Bob Spencer collected the SA 5 radar frequency in 1971. The SR-71 was soon after this risky flight (within a few feet of Russia) able to jam the SA 5.

The other reason for the early cancellation of the SR 71 was the Generals were jealous because they ( Two of them) were rejected from the SR 71 program before they were made General. They were so vindictive that they did not promote Lieutenant Colonels to full Colonels who deserved it. They demanded that the special orange flight suit be taken away from the SR 71 Crewmembers.. it was unprofessional and wrong what the two Generals did at the Pentagon. This is the information given to me by the pilots and RSOs who flew the SR 71.

Between the jamming system, the speed, and the altitude, I believe there was no chance of a shootdown. Of course, there could’ve been one million lucky shots, but that never occurred.

#2  ...I follow Linda on both FB and TwiX - I believe her.

And she's not far off on the other reasons for the cancellation, but I'd add one more: it belonged to the old Strategic Air Command. When the USAF was reorganized in the early 90s, the victorious Fighter Mafia pulled a 'Night Of The Sicilian Vespers' on anything even remotely connected with SAC. The SR was expensive and resource-demanding but it wore a SAC shield to boot...and that was the last nail in the coffin.

Biden makes sign of the cross during pro-abortion speech in Florida
[FOX] President Biden made the sign of the cross, a gesture Catholics often make before and after prayer, while listening to pro-abortion comments by a fellow Democrat in Florida.

The president's actions came Tuesday as Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried, the state's former Democratic gubernatorial nominee, blasted an upcoming law restricting abortion to within six weeks of gestation. Biden was heavily criticized in response to the move, which several Catholic groups and commentators described as sacrilegious given the Catholic Church's strict teaching condemning abortion.

"And then we come back here to the state of Florida where [Gov.] Ron DeSantis felt like he needed to run for president and so 15 weeks wasn’t good enough. We had to go to six weeks," Fried said at the event alongside Biden.

At the moment Fried said "15 weeks wasn’t good enough," Biden made the sign of the cross, appearing to mock Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' efforts to limit abortion.

Government Corruption
"Taken Out By The FBI, CIA, & Bob Woodward" - Tucker Carlson Says Watergate Was Orchestrated To Remove President Nixon From Office
[ZERO] I have several times reported the same...

Nixon was removed because he was making arms limitation agreements with the Soviets and opening to China.

It was for the same reason that President Kennedy was assassinated by the military/security complex.

The growing suspicion about Kennedy’s assassination meant that the military/security complex could not risk a second violent assassination, so Nixon was politically assassinated.

The same strategy was applied to Trump.

When Trump said he intended to normalize relations with Russia, he presented himself as the same threat to the military-security complex as Kennedy and Nixon.

That is what Russiagate was about, and what documentsgate, Jan 6 Insurrection, and two failed impeachments are all about.

When Russiagate and the impeachments failed, they decided to steal the election.

When Trump’s support survived all of this, they decided on the indictments.

In the least, the indictments will keep Trump off the campaign circuit and use up his resources in legal fees.

It is the determination and ability of the military/security complex to protect its budget and power that makes peace impossible and wars our way of life...

Watch Tucker Carlson discuss this below (with key quotes via @CollinRugg):

#6  ...I've always wondered how much of the Dem hatred for Nixon came from the fact that after 1960, he wasn't supposed to come back - he had been defeated by the demigod JFK, who put them back into their rightful place in the White House (20 years straight from FDR to Truman's last term may eventually turn out to be far, far worse than anything else that's happened to the Republic, but I digress.) and should have retired to his law office in California. But instead, he not only came back again, he beat the anointed Hubert Humphrey.

The Democrats assumed that the Presidency was rightfully and permanently theirs before I was born, and I think every defeat or sidetrack drives them just a little more insane.

#8  James Rosen article is a terrific introduction to details long forgotton and subsequent facts ignored by the media oligarchy that wants to narravtive to remain unchanged. Books like "Silent Coup" and "Secret Agenda" tell a fascinating tale of government in opposition to the elected President. But the real, amazing backstory, is the core point of the break-in itself. That the target location was NOT the office of DNC Chairman O'Brien, but an anteroom where a telephone stand held an address book in a locked drawer of major DNC contributors and certain preferences that loosened the purse strings. That target was defined by WH Counsel John Dean, and it is rumored that he had a personal interest in securing that book beyond politics. His flipping is linked in part to that personal connection I believe.

Given my mothers career in DC as a Republican Congressional Committee staffer and later lobbyist, we had deep family roots to many of the players in the Nixon Administration. The most compelling insight to all of Watergate from those connections for me was a comment made by one of those players that the irony of Watergate was that Nixon, a man of substantial political talent but enormously isolated personally, had no actual foreknowledge or involvement in the break-in plan itself. Rather, he took on the post-event cover-story debacle that ended his Presidency, to protect John Mitchell, whose friendship he greatly valued.

Bad link removed by link removers.

Former President Carter was so open about his hatred of Israel for refusing to follow his advice to bare their collective necks to Palestinian murder that he drove away first his Jewish Democrat voters and donors, then his Jewish-American friends, and finally the Jewish-American gentleman who ran the Carter Center for him. It was so bad by the end of his first term that he decided it would be a waste of effort to run again.

Mortality in Gaza: lies and statistics
[IsraelNationalNews] The UN, UNWRA, WHO, numerous NGOs, senior British and American politicians and all the British mainstream news networks, including their flagship programmes, have all been consistently misleading people about the number of deaths in Gaza. But in the last month a series of articles in various publications have started to question this consensus. It is not clear why it has taken so long for this fightback, but what is clear is that the tide is turning.

One of the first major articles questioning the anti-Israel consensus was by Abrahm Wyner, an American mathematical statistician, and Professor of Statistics and Data Science at The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Published in the American magazine Tablet on 7 March, his piece was called, "How the Gaza Ministry of Health Fakes Casualty Numbers".

As Professor Wyner points out, "The main source for the data [about civilian deaths in Gaza] has been the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry, which now claims more than 30,000 dead, the majority of which it says are children and women." He begins by showing how influential the data from the Palestinian Health Authority has been. He quotes leading American politicians who have unquestioningly used these figures: "Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin said the number was ’over 25,000’..." Wyner writes. "President Biden himself had earlier cited this figure, asserting that ’too many, too many of the over 27,000 Palestinians killed in this conflict have been innocent civilians and children, including thousands of children.’ The White House also explained that the President ’was referring to publicly available data about the total number of casualties.’"

But, Wyner argues, "Here’s the problem with this data: The numbers are not real. That much is obvious to anyone who understands how naturally occurring numbers work. The casualties are not overwhelmingly women and children, and the majority may be Hamas fighters."

There are a number of things that are odd about the figures from the Palestinian Health Authority, he writes. First, the graph of total deaths has been increasing since October "with almost metronomical linearity." There have been no irregularities or inconsistencies in the figures (see the graph below, taken from Wyner’s article):

Or, as Wyner puts it, "The graph reveals an extremely regular increase in casualties over the period. ... This regularity is almost surely not real. One would expect quite a bit of variation day to day. In fact, the daily reported casualty count over this period averages 270, plus or minus about 15%. This is strikingly little variation. There should be days with twice the average or more and others with half or less."

Secondly, Wyner writes, "we should see variation in the number of child casualties that tracks the variation in the number of women. This is because the daily variation in death counts is caused by the variation in the number of strikes on residential buildings and tunnels which should result in considerable variability in the totals but less variation in the percentage of deaths across groups. This is a basic statistical fact about chance variability." "Consequently," he continues, "on the days with many women casualties there should be large numbers of children casualties, and on the days when just a few women are reported to have been killed, just a few children should be reported." In other words, "The daily number of children reported to have been killed is totally unrelated [my emphasis] to the number of women reported."

Thirdly, "The daily number of women casualties should be highly correlated with the number of non-women and non-children (i.e., men) reported. Again, this is expected because of the nature of battle. The ebbs and flows of the bombings and attacks by Israel should cause the daily count to move together. But that is not what the data show. Not only is there not a positive correlation, there is a strong negative correlation, which makes no sense at all and establishes the third piece of evidence that the numbers are not real."

What do these anomalies suggest, asks Wyner? They are "highly suggestive that a process unconnected or loosely connected to reality was used to report the numbers. Most likely, the Hamas ministry settled on a daily total arbitrarily. We know this because the daily totals increase too consistently to be real. Then they assigned about 70% of the total to be women and children, splitting that amount randomly from day to day. Then they in-filled the number of men as set by the predetermined total. This explains all the data observed."

There isn't in a natural setting. But this is a structured setting when at best what you have is a steward of a child failing the Gom Jabbar and the student learns that they don't have to earn it just try to lay it. The real bad stuff happens when teacher uses authority to pressure the student into shagging on penalty of grades and in-class hen pecking creating gender and authority issues basically leading them into walking dead if not for the fact the easily influenced follow them along.

No, pretty much the same thing, different decade. The trigger for the Cuban Missile Crisis was NATO installing Jupiter missiles in Turkey. For some reason, the Russians objected to having nuclear-armed medium range ballistic missiles nearby. The missiles in Cuba were a bargaining chip the Russians were willing to trade to get the Jupiters removed. The Soviets may have been godless commies, but they could play chess.

Hamas links merger into regular army to establishment of independent Palestine state
[GEO.TV] Hamas has signalled to merge into the regular army and cease its counter-attacks against Israeli brutality on the condition that the independent Paleostinian state is established, the group’s official Basem Naim told CNN Thursday.

Naim — who is a member of Hamas’ based in Istanbul — told the outlet referring to the group's armed wing: "If an independent state with its capital in Jerusalem, while preserving the right of return for refugees, [is created] Al Qassam could be integrated into [a future] national army."

Mustafa Barghouti, President of the Paleostinian National Initiative, was unaware of the proposal, however, suggested that "it would be a significant move if true."

"It's significant in the sense that Paleostinians are resisting occupation because there is an occupation," he told media outlet.

The Arab states don't want them because of the Paleo's well-known tendency to be (let's be nice!) destabilizing. That leaves somewhere remote, like a deserted Pacific atoll or somewhere already messed up like Haiti or Somalia where a little more chaos and violence would pass unnoticed.

Pakistan rubbishes US 'politicised, double standard' human rights report
[GEO.TV] As the US State Department released its country-wise analysis of the human rights situation, Pakistain has categorically rejected the contents of the "2023 Country Report on Human Rights Practices", terming it "unfair, based on inaccurate information and completely divorced from the ground reality".

"The US State Department’s annual exercises of preparing such unsolicited reports lack objectivity and remain inherently flawed in their methodology," Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said in a statement on Thursday.

"These reports use a domestic social lens to judge human rights in other countries in a politically biased manner. This year’s report is once again conspicuous by its lack of objectivity and politicisation of the international human rights agenda."

She added: "It clearly demonstrates double standards thus undermining the international human rights discourse."

Pointing out the US "double standards" on grave humanitarian issues, Baloch said: "It is deeply concerning that a report purported to highlight human rights situations around the world ignores or downplays the most urgent hotspots of gross human rights violations such as in Gaza
Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK)."

Only a politically motivated report, she said, could ignore the alarming situation in Gaza, the weaponisation of humanitarian assistance and the massacre of over 33,000 civilians. "Silence of the United States on the continuing genocide in Gaza runs counter to the stated objectives behind the so-called country reports on human rights."

Afghanistan
Marine's video casts doubt on Pentagon's official account of tragic Kabul airport blast
A better after action report.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • 13 US personnel died when an ISIS-K suicide bomber attacked Kabul airport

  • Newly released video suggests there were more shots fired after bomb blast

GoPro video shot by a Marine at Kabul airport casts doubt on the official Pentagon investigation into a suicide attack that killed 13 Americans and more than 160 Afghans during the chaotic 2021 evacuation. Ever since then, the Department of Defense has said that the deaths were caused an ISIS-K suicide bomber acting alone. But the new video, obtained by CNN, raises fresh questions and suggests that far more gunshots were heard in the aftermath than has been admitted.

A dozen American military personnel described the gunfire and one said the first salvo came from an area of U.S. Marines close to the blast site.

'It wasn't onesies and twosies,' the Marine said. 'It was a mass volume of gunfire.'

A local doctor also told the news organization that he pulled bullets from the wounded and that dozens of Afghans died from gunshot wounds.

The Pentagon has dismissed previous claims that some of the victims were killed by gunfire and said troops who reported being fired upon were confused or suffering concussion from the blast.

The attack brought a tragic end to the hurried withdrawal from Afghanistan after a 20-year war. U.S. troops did their best to protect Hamid Karzai International Airport after the Taliban seized control of the capital in August, 2021, as thousands of foreign nationals and tens of thousands of Afghans tried to flee.

The blast at 5:36 p.m. on August 26 at one of the airport gates was the worst attack on American troops and Afghan nationals in more than a decade. A suicide bomber with the Islamic State affiliate detonated a backpack filled with ball bearings, creating carnage.

Witnesses reported hearing gunfire after the blast.

The official investigation concluded that American and British forces delivered three near-simultaneous bursts of warning shots that did not hit anyone.

U.S. Central Command later ordered a supplemental review amid reports that the bomber had been identified before the blast and the attack could have been stopped. It found that the reports were likely mistaken and agreed that a lone ISIS-K bomber was responsible.

The video footage obtained by CNN complicates things. It contains 11 bursts of shooting after the explosion, accounting for nearly four minutes of gunfire, in contrast to the Pentagon description of three 'near simultaneous' episodes. It shows Marines racing for cover in the aftermath of the blast. At one point they choke on CS gas released from a broken a canister. One can be heard saying: 'I got that on film, dude.'

An audio forensic expert, who reviewed the footage for CNN, counted a minimum of 43 shots.

Pentagon spokesman Army Lt. Col. Rob Lodewick said the two investigations looked into whether the bombing was part of a 'complex attack'—the name for a blast followed by gunmen opening fire.

'The Supplemental Review found no new evidence of a complex attack, and uncovered no new assertions of outgoing fire post-blast,' he said. 'Consequently, the Supplemental Review found no materialistic impact to the original findings of the Abbey Gate investigation.'

A British spokesman said its troops had fired warning shots above the crowd to prevent a surge.

CNN previously reported interviews with more than a dozen Afghans who said they had seen or heard gunfire.

'I saw people who were injured in the explosion trying to get up, but they fired on them,' said Shogofa Hamidi, whose sister Morsal was shot in the face.

Dr. Sayeed Ahmadi, the then director of the Wazir Akhbar Khan hospital in Kabul, said: 'Explosion injuries come with severe injuries and lots of holes in the bodies.

'But people who were shot had just one or two holes in the chest or head.'

CNN also spoke to 10 Marines, many of whom described hearing gunshots.

Sgt. Romel Finley, who received a Purple Heart for injuries sustained in the attack, told the Brrks YouTube channel, which interviews Marines: 'My platoon sergeant running past us, saying "get back on that wall and shoot back at those motherf**kers." So I was like, we are in a gunfight too.'

Christian Sanchez, another Marine survivor, told the same channel: 'All I see is flashes. And all I could hear was ringing. Like all hear is ringing and f**king flashes going on.

'And I start hearing snaps. And I start realizing that that's a f**king dude shooting at me. And I just started shooting at the dude.'

#1  A perfect example of why we need to stop sending in our military to other countries. They just invite attacks, and then the freaked-out troops retaliate against the wrong people. Which in many cases is what the locals want because it drives recruitment through the roof and guarantees the conflict will continue forever.

Somali National Army Kills 30 70 Al-Shabaab Militants in Mudug Region
[Goobjoog] The Somali National Army with support from its international partners conducted an operation in Mudug region Wednesday, killing at least 30 al-Shabaab krazed killers.

According to the Ministry of Information of the Federal Government the operation occurred in the Arfuuda area, located approximately 20 kilometers from the town of Harardhere.

The joint forces targeted two key centers during the operation; one used by the krazed killer group for organizing attacks in the Mudug region, and another where they were preparing explosives.

On Wednesday, government forces thwarted an attempted attack by the gunnies at Hawadley area in Middle Shabelle region which led to several gunnies killed, others wounded and several arrested.

The federal government has stated its commitment to wage a continuous war against the al-Shabaab in collaboration with regional authorities until all parts of Somalia occupied by the group are liberated.
Shabelle Media adds:
The Somali government has announced a significant victory in its ongoing battle against the al-Shabaab, reporting the killing of over 70 militants and the injury of 30 others in a follow-up military operation in the Tabar-mooge area, located approximately 28km north of Harardhere town.

The operation was conducted in collaboration with international partners, showcasing the government’s commitment to eliminating the threat posed by the extremist group.

In a statement released to the public, the government detailed the success of the operation, highlighting the significant number of al-Shabaab militants neutralized and the strategic importance of the Tabar-mooge area.

The operation was a follow-up to a previous mission in the nearby Carfuuda village, where targeted militants had reportedly fled from.

Despite the government’s claims of success, no photographic or visual evidence of the casualties has been provided to support the reported numbers. This has led to skepticism among some observers, who question the accuracy of the government’s claims and the effectiveness of the operations.

The Somali government, however, maintains that the operation was a joint effort with international partners, suggesting that there is a level of external verification and support for the reported results.
Garowe describes the first location as:
Carfuuda, about 20km northeast of Harardhere, Galmudug state.

SNA Forces Thwart Attempted Al-Shabaab Attack in Hirshabelle
[Goobjoog] Somali National Army forces late Tuesday thwarted an attempted attack by al-Shabaab snuffies targeting the army’s Hawadley Forward Operating Base (FOB) in Hirshabelle State.

Acting on intelligence reports indicating a planned attack by the hard boys, the national army acted swiftly, intercepting and killing several members of the terror group as they advanced to the army base.

"Last night, the National Armed Forces received intelligence alerts pointing towards an imminent attack by al-Shabaab hard boys. In response to this threat, the military quickly mobilized its forces stationed at the Hawadley Forward Operating Base. Their proactive measures and rapid deployment enabled them to intercept the gunnies before they could carry out their nefarious plans," an official government statement reads.

During the operating, several other snuffies were arrested and taken into custody by the security forces to aid in investigations to establish other possible targets by the group.

US Economy Growth slowed in Q1 of 2024
[BEA] Real gross domestic product (GDP) increased at an annual rate of 1.6 percent in the first quarter of 2024, according to the "advance" estimate released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the fourth quarter of 2023, real GDP increased 3.4 percent.
[This is an initial estimate. There will be adjustments. The next adjustment will be at the end of May.]
Personal saving was $755.7 billion in the first quarter, compared with $815.5 billion in the fourth quarter. The personal saving rate; personal saving as a percentage of disposable personal income; was 3.6 percent in the first quarter, compared with 4.0 percent in the fourth quarter.
[Unfortunately CPI growth isn't coming down quickly so this is unlikely to lead to a decrease in the Fed Fund rate in the near term]

#3  Yes #2. Ted Cruz was to have said that the reason DC always goes for taxes is because they think all Americans earn over $200,000 thousand a year.

A side note; last year refunds were much less so business was particularly slow. I spoke to a CPA yesterday and asked if refunds were paltry this year. Her response was yes. She said companies were not withholding enough without telling employee's. Perhaps but refunds are again small if you get a refund at all. I myself got nice refunds for the first time in years. Federal was very fast but state was very slow.

One last finding. Business activity in Penna, Maryland and West Virginia states have all been slow. Seems Virginia has been good (everyone says because of government spending for agency's).

Prior to COVID people lived pay check to pay check. Now paycheck doesn't make it. Even food stamps have been cut back majorly in Maryland.

Report: Gaza Terrorists Attack U.S. Humanitarian Pier During Construction Work
[LI] i24NEWS: "Gazan terrorists fired mortar shells on Wednesday towards the construction work on the humanitarian pier being built off the coast of Gaza."

Talking about biting the hand that feeds. Palestinian terrorists on Wednesday attacked the U.S. pier being constructed off the coast of Gaza, the Israeli TV channel i24NEWS reported.

Gaza "terrorists launched mortars at the maritime construction site, damaging several pieces of engineering equipment," the TV channel revealed. " In addition, one person was slightly injured while running to a protected area."

The U.S. military is involved in the construction of the floating dock. It is unclear if American servicemen or civilian contractors were present at the site during the terrorist attack.

Last month, President Joe Biden
Joe The Big Guy Biden

announced the decision to construct a floating pier for large-scale aid delivery to Gaza and supply aid through trucks and airdrops. "I’m directing the US military to lead an emergency mission to establish a temporary pier in the Mediterranean on the Gaza coast that can receive large ships carrying food, water, medicine and temporary shelters," President Biden declared on March 7.

In addition, a large number — 30% of Democrats and 46% of Republicans — signaled support for ending birthright citizenship, which is guaranteed under the Constitution’s 14th Amendment.

Asked what their greatest fear was surrounding illegal immigrants colonists, 21% of those surveyed cited surging crime rates, drugs and violence as their main concern.

Trump meets cheering NYC construction workers ahead of huge day where Supreme Court will consider whether he is immune from prosecution as he sits in hush money trial
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Donald Trump was greeted by hundreds chanting 'USA, USA' as he met union workers in New York on the morning of a monumental day in the courts.

The former president greeted teamsters on a construction site and signed MAGA hats as he prepared for another day of testimony in the Manhattan hush money trial.

Crowds of construction workers and supporters lined up through the night as they anxiously waited to catch a glimpse of their beloved former president.

Meanwhile, Trump's lawyers are heading to the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. on Thursday morning in attempts to persuade the nine justices that he is immune from prosecution.

'This whole thing it's election interference' Trump told the crowd regarding his multiple legal battles before taking a shot at President Joe Biden.

'We're leading by a lot. He is the worst president in the history of our country. He makes Jimmy Carter look great.

Supporters had started gathering shortly after 4AM, adorning themselves in signature red MAGA hats and carried flags and banners with them, one of which said 'Trump won, save America'.

Construction workers at the site followed suit, also wearing MAGA hats, while others wore hard hats plastered in Trump stickers.

As his motorcade pulled up outside the site, the crowd broke into chats of ‘USA! USA! USA!’ before breaking into applause as Trump made his appearance.

The former President then spent the next 30 minutes signing hats and helmets, taking selfies with supporters and workers who waited anxiously to meet him.

After the motorcade left the area, the large group quickly dispersed with the majority of workers who had gathered for hours returning to the site.

After his stop in Manhattan, he will head downtown to court, where he will sit and listen to the third day of former National Enquirer publisher David Pecker's testimony

Just a few hundred miles south of New York, the Supreme Court will consider on Thursday arguments that could have huge implications for Trump's federal criminal trials.

'Well, we have a big case today, the judge isn't allowing me to go,' he lamented.

He added of the Supreme Court case: 'A president has to have immunity. If you don't have immunity, you just have a ceremonial president.'

Thomas-Greenfield tried to shift responsibility for a nuclear war to Russia
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] US Permanent Representative Linda Thomas-Greenfield told the UN Security Council about her visit to Nagasaki, Japan, where America dropped an atomic bomb in 1945. At the same time, she tried to shift the responsibility to Russia for ensuring that the world never again experienced the “horror of nuclear weapons.”

After Russia blocked a draft resolution on weapons in space presented by the United States and Japan, Thomas-Greenfield recalled Nagasaki, pointing out that it was the last place where an atomic bomb fell. The US Permanent Representative stated “the deep responsibility for preventing the scourge of war.”

At the same time, the diplomat added that “Russia has refused this responsibility.”

A colleague, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, responded to Thomas-Greenfield’s statement, emphasizing that she, like Japan, never named the country that bombed her.

“It’s as if the nuclear bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki really came from space and came out of nowhere,” the Russian diplomat added.

As Regnum reported, at the UN Security Council, Russia vetoed a draft resolution prepared by the United States and Japan on the non-deployment of nuclear weapons in outer space.

The document consisted of eight points, one of which contained a ban on the development of nuclear weapons created for launch into orbit, the installation of such weapons on celestial bodies and placement in outer space in any other way.

During the voting, the resolution was supported by 13 out of 15 countries, China abstained.

Russia was forced to block a draft UN Security Council resolution on a ban on the deployment of weapons in space, proposed by the United States and Japan, due to the refusal to accept amendments initiated by Moscow and Beijing, as well as because of Washington’s attempts through the resolution to create new obligations in this area, explained the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs RF Maria Zakharova.

Some US troops set to depart Chad, at least temporarily
[AOL] The United States is planning to temporarily withdraw some of its troops from Chad, U.S. officials said on Thursday, a move that comes just days after Washington was forced to agree to remove its troops from neighboring Niger.

Earlier this month Chad's air force chief ordered the U.S. to halt activities at an air base near the capital N'Djamena, according to a letter sent to the transitional government and seen by Reuters.

Pentagon spokesperson Major General Patrick Ryder said a portion of the U.S. troops in Chad would reposition out of the country.

He said it was a "temporary step" as part of an ongoing review of security cooperation with Chad, which would resume after the country's May 6 presidential election.

A U.S. official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said a few dozen special forces troops who are in Chad as planners and advisers will move to Germany for now.

Interim President Mahamat Idriss Deby is running for election next month, making Chad the first of West and Central Africa's junta-ruled countries to organise a vote. Opposition groups have flagged concerns about its credibility.

Houthis say they attacked an Israeli ship in the Gulf of Aden
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The military spokesman for the Yemeni rebel movement Ansar Allah, Yahya Saria, said that the Houthis attacked the MSC Darwin ship in the Gulf of Aden.

According to the movement's Telegram channel, the Yemeni Navy attacked the Israeli ship MSC Darwin in the Gulf of Aden.

“The strike was carried out using missiles and drones, and the operation successfully achieved its objectives,” Saria wrote.

At the same time, the rebels added that they would continue to continue their military operations, interfering with the navigation of Israeli ships in the Red Sea, Arabian Sea and Indian Ocean.

As Regnum reported, the Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement carried out several attacks on the commercial ships Maersk Yorktown and MSC Veracruz, which belong to the United States and Israel. An American destroyer was attacked again. This was stated by the military representative of the movement, Yahya Saria, assuring that the missiles and drones successfully reached their targets.

At the same time, the Central Command of the American Armed Forces (CENTCOM) later stated that the ships and ships of Israel and the United States were not damaged in the attack in the Gulf of Aden. A single anti-ship missile launched by the Houthis was successfully shot down.

DHS Has a Warning for Foreign Students Participating in Anti-Israel Protests
[TOWNHALL] The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) warned foreign students that if they are arrested for participating in anti-Israel protests occurring across college campuses they will face deportation.
Arrested and turned loose or arrested and convicted?
As anti-Israel protestors invade universities such as Columbia, law enforcement and Republican lawmakers sound the alarm as it becomes increasingly unsafe for Jewish students to be on campus.

DHS can lawfully deport a person if they violate their visa terms. Most of the time when visas are revoked, it is "prudential," which means that a person isn't always necessarily immediately removed from the United States. However, it does mean that someone would be denied future re-entry into the country.

Russian citizen convicted of espionage in Poland
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] In Poland, a court sentenced a Russian citizen to 2.5 years in prison on charges of “espionage for Russian intelligence,” the Gdansk district prosecutor’s office announced on April 25.

“On April 16, the district court in Gdansk convicted a citizen of the Russian Federation accused of spying for Russian intelligence,” the statement said.

In addition, as part of this criminal case, three Polish citizens were convicted of corruption crimes. The Russian citizen was sentenced to 2 years and 6 months in prison.

According to the prosecutor's office, the Russian citizen legally resided and carried out commercial activities in Poland.

The department claims that the man allegedly “established and maintained contacts with the Polish military” by participating in military-historical reconstruction communities, and “used these contacts to collect information on the deployment of units of the Polish army.”

As Regnum reported, on December 19, 2023, a court in Poland found 14 citizens of Ukraine, Belarus and Russia guilty of spying for Russia. They were sentenced to prison terms ranging from 13 months to six years.

Also in December, a Russian citizen was expelled from Poland due to suspicions of connections with Russian intelligence services. In July, Russian hockey player Maxim Sergeev, who played for a local club, was detained in the republic. In general, Poland regularly claims that it has identified “spies.”

Press Secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Poland was gripped by an attack of Russophobia. In his opinion, the West is facilitating this in order to set the Poles against Russia.

Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, commenting on the spy scandals in Poland, noted that Russophobia and spy mania reign in this country. She noted that against this background, the Polish authorities stopped fulfilling their obligations under international law.

On March 19, the press service of the German prosecutor's office charged a Bundeswehr soldier with espionage for Russia. The man was detained back in August 2023; he was an employee of the Federal Office of Armaments, Information Technologies and Applications, which, among other things, deals with the procurement of military products for the army.

How at least 13 banks worked with feds to SPY on transactions of hundreds of pro-gun and religious
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • House Judiciary Committee sent a letter to the Treasury Sec. Janet Yellen

  • Americans had their private financial data shared after January 6

  • DailyMail.com reveals seven new financial institutions under investigation

At least 13 financial institutions are being investigated by Republicans in Congress for colluding with the federal government to spy on Americans after the January 6 protests looking for 'extremism' indicators.

The House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government led by top Republican Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, is investigating 'collusion' between U.S. banks and federal agencies in the aftermath of the Capitol riot.

The Biden administration worked with banks to comb through 'extremism' indicators like the purchase of a religious text, like a Bible, or searches including the terms 'MAGA' and 'TRUMP,' according to shocking revelations by the committee.

Bank of America, Chase, U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo, Citi Bank and Truist were already being targeted in the probe looking to expose how the U.S. Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) and the FBI worked together.

Now, DailyMail.com can first reveal that seven other financial firms are also under investigation for ties to an FBI and FinCEN plot to spy on Americans' private banking transactions without first obtaining a warrant.
It’s that the institutions rolled over without a warrant that’ll get them in trouble.
Charles Schwab, HSBC, MUFG, PayPal, Santander, Standard Chartered and Western Union have all been asked to turn over documents and communications with FinCEN and the FBI to the committee, according to letters exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com.

'The Committee and Select Subcommittee remain concerned about how and to what extent federal law enforcement and financial institutions continue to spy on Americans by weaponizing backdoor information sharing and casting sprawling classes of transactions, purchase behavior, and protected political or religious expression as potentially 'suspicious' or indicative of 'extremism,'' the letters to the institutions said.

'Documents obtained by the Committee and Select Subcommittee show that the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) circulated concerning materials,' to each of the seven additional firms Jordan wrote.

Charles Schwab, MUFG, PayPal, Santander, Standard Chartered and Western Union did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

HSBC declined DailyMail.com's request for comment.

'This kind of warrantless financial surveillance raises serious concerns about the federal government's respect for Americans' privacy and fundamental civil liberties,' Jordan wrote in a separate letter to Treasury Sec. Janet Yellen, also obtained by DailyMail.com.

According to investigators, FinCEN and the FBI received data on 211 individuals from the Bank of America in a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) on January 17, 2021.

But the SAR was only sent after the FBI and FinCEN asked U.S. banks to scour customer transactions for key terms like 'MAGA' and 'Trump' to identify 'extremism' in a memo distributed in the aftermath of January 6.

The federal agencies provided the financial institutions 'thresholds' for which an SAR should be raise, according to Peter Sullivan, the FBI's former financial sector liaison.

He sat for a transcribed interview with the weaponization committee on April 9.

According to the 'threshold' set by the FBI and FinCEN, Bank of America then sent the data of the 211 individuals.

'Given this coordination, the Committee and Select Subcommittee are concerned that the federal government, through the FBI and FinCEN, sent similar or identical thresholds to other financial institutions that manipulated the SAR filing process to elicit the information and transaction history of individuals without any allegation of federal criminal conduct,' the letter to Yellen said.

When pressed on the Treasury's FinCEN materials circulated to top financial institutions during a February Congressional hearing, Yellen dodges lawmakers' questions, responding once 'I promise a thorough look into everything.'

After Bank of America sent over the list of 211 customers' whose transactions met the federal 'thresholds,' Sullivan requested additional transaction history.

He asked that Bank of America send over any 'weapons-related transactions.'

Four Bank of America customers out of the original 211 qualified.

This prompted 'criminal background queries' into the four customers.

Later, four federal agents were deployed to three FBI field offices to investigate those individuals.

After the investigations were complete, the FBI uploaded their findings to a portal and sent out 'a number of leads' on additional persons of interst.

But, according to the then-Section Chief of the FBI's Domestic Terrorism Operations Selection Steve Jensen, the leads were pulled because they 'lacked allegations of federal criminal conduct.'

Some of the weapons transferred to Ukraine are in Poland, the White House says
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Some of the weapons transferred by the United States of America to Ukraine are in Poland and will be delivered in a few days, John Kirby, coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, said at a briefing on April 25.

“There are positions on this list that can be transferred very quickly - within a few days. As you know, quite a lot of our weapons are in Poland,” he said.

Kirby explained that the transfer of other weapons would take longer.

As Regnum reported, on April 24, US President Joe Biden signed laws approved by the US Parliament on providing military assistance to Ukraine and Israel. According to him, Washington will resume military supplies to Kyiv in the coming hours.

US senators approved the bill on April 23. Of the $60.84 billion allocated to help Kyiv, $23.2 billion will be used to replenish weapons transferred from Pentagon warehouses, $13.8 billion will be used for military purchases for Ukraine on the open market, and $11.3 billion will be used to provide "ongoing US military operations in the region." Previously, the bill was also supported by the House of Representatives of Congress.

The approval by the US Congress of a new large package of military assistance to the Kiev regime was an expected decision and will not fundamentally change the situation on the battlefield, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters on April 22.

American military assistance to Kiev will not stop the advance of Russian forces, since Moscow is ahead of the West in weapons production, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said earlier, calling on Western countries to increase weapons production.

Military expert, associate professor of the department of political analysis and socio-psychological processes of the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Oleg Glazunov believes that no help today can save the Kiev regime, so it does not matter when it is received. Ukraine cannot resist Russia. Kyiv does not have enough human resources, and no one is ready to die for someone else's interests.

Those who wanted to die for nationalist Ukrainian values have already died or been defeated. Russia is superior to Ukraine in military-technical terms, Russian aviation dominates the air and this is obvious, Glazunov added.

Bandipora encounter: Search operation continues on second day

Security forces on Thursday intensified their search operation in the Renji forest area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district where two soldiers were injured in an exchange of gunfire with the terrorists.

A joint team of Police, Army’s 13RR, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Renji forest area of Bandipora yesterday based on specific information about the presence of at least two to three terrorists, officials said.

Upon approaching the suspected area, the bandidos bully boyz opened fire on the security personnel, leading to an exchange of gunfire.

"All exit points have been sealed, and additional measures, such as installing lights, have been taken to prevent the bandidos bully boyz from escaping," said an officer, as per news agency KS.

The search operation, initiated on Wednesday, continued throughout the night and has been ongoing on Thursday as well.

"To enhance the search efforts, helicopters and other resources have been deployed, although the possibility of bandidos bully boyz escaping cannot be ruled out at this stage," the officer added.

Russia sinks space nuke ban at UN amid rumors of Putin's orbital weapon
[FoxNews] The US-led effort received support from 60 member states but Russia's veto nullifies it.

A U.S.-led resolution that would prevent using nuclear weapons in outer space received dozens of co-sponsors, but Russia vetoed the measure amid reports it has deployed a weapon that can destroy satellites.

"The detonation of a nuclear weapon in space would destroy satellites that are vital to communications, agriculture, national security, and more worldwide, with grave implications for sustainable development, and other aspects of international peace and security," the U.S. Mission to the United Nations wrote in a press release prior to the vote.

"The diverse group of cosponsors of this resolution reflects the strong shared interest in avoiding such an outcome," the statement read. "We join these Member States in calling on the Security Council to meet this moment today and adopt the resolution unanimously, consistent with its mandate to maintain international peace and security."

The U.S. and Japan presented the resolution to the U.N. Security Council for a vote on Wednesday, but Russia shot the measure down. Prior to the vote, Russia's Deputy U.N. Ambassador Dmitry Polyansky reported that his country's initial impression was that the resolution served as "yet another propaganda stunt by Washington" and called it a "very politicized" effort "divorced from reality," The Associated Press reported.

The draft resolution, which received backing from 60 member states, states that "the prevention of an arms race in outer space would avert a grave danger for international peace and security." It affirms that countries that ratified the 1967 Outer Space Treaty must comply with their obligations.

Scary video shows Boeing 747 bounce hard off LAX runway twice
Didn't lose a tire.
German maintenance?

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] A heart-stopping video caught the dramatic moment a Lufthansa Airlines Boeing 747 violently bounced off the runway at LAX before aborting the landing.

On Tuesday, the 747-8i, Boeing's largest 'Jumbo Jet,' was attempting to land at Los Angeles Airport, but the plane struck the runway hard and bounced twice, forcing the pilot to abort.

The frightening moment was documented in a livestream by Airline Videos Live, a group of airplane enthusiasts 'dedicated to bringing high-quality video' of commercial aviation 'to viewers worldwide.'

In the video, Lufthansa Flight 456, which originated in Frankfurt, Germany, could be seen sweeping down toward the runway with its landing gear extended.

Everything appeared to be going smoothly until the plane's back wheels touched down, at which point a cloud of white smoke burst from the wheels.

Then the plane abruptly jerked upward, its wheels hovering over the ground for a few yards.

The plane lurched downward again, this time both the front and back wheels making contact with the runway.

But as soon as the wheels touched down, the plane, which seats 400 passengers and crew, bounced upward.

After the second botched landing, the pilot decided to abort and the video showed the plane ascending into the sky.

While the plane bounced along the runway, Kevin Ray, the website's owner and chief commentator, shouted: 'Holy Moly!'

'That is the roughest landing I think we've ever caught on our broadcast,' said Ray, later adding that they could 'smell' the burnt rubber from the wheels.

Lufthansa Flight 456 proceeded to circle the airport and landed without an issue a short time later.

As of right now, it is unclear whether this incident was the result of some malfunction with the 9-year-old Boeing plane or if it was caused by something else.

Video shows hundreds of migrants led by 'smugglers in black masks' who cut through border wall
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • The video shows the mostly Chinese migrants crossing into San Diego County in California on Sunday

  • It's believed smugglers cut into the border wall to let them into the country

A video shared by San Diego resident Cory Gautereaux shows the migrants crossing into San Diego County in southern California on Sunday.

Many of the migrants appeared to be from China, as San Diego has seen more than double the amount of Chinese nationals in the first half of this fiscal year than in all of 2023.

Most of them fly into Tijuana before paying cartels up to 35,000 to get them to the US.

Gautereaux said he has encountered hundreds of Chinese IDs and passports along the the border region.

News Nation reported that smugglers appear to be moving their operations to California as Texas increases its border security in El Paso and Eagle Pass.

It comes as a new Axios Vibes survey by The Harris Poll shows that 51 percent of Americans say they would support mass deportations of undocumented immigrants.

Forty-two percent of Democrats and 68 percent of Republicans said they would support the measure.

“The United Nations has received credible information about the abduction of more than 160 girls and women in detention, including reports of women and girls being raped and detained in slavery-like conditions,” partly reads the report.

It added, “There are reports that women and girls abducted in Khartoum State were transferred to other areas, especially Darfur, chained in the back of trucks, which was the case in almost all instances”.

The Secretary General’s annually presented report did not, however, rule out the coercion of some women and girls to engage in prostitution or forced marriage, while in other cases, families paid a large ransom for the return of their members.

Advocacy groups such as Strategic Initiative for Women in the Horn of Africa (SIHA) hinted on the sale of women kidnapped from Khartoum in areas of Darfur.

The UN said it had documented cases of conflict-related sexual violence, including rape, gang rape, abduction as well as trafficking committed against 98 women, 18 girls, a man and boy in 2023.

It reported that the cases occurred in the states of Khartoum, South Darfur and North Darfur, involving men wearing RSF uniforms mostly followed by members of its Arab militias, as well as unidentified armed men and army personnel.

Sudanese army thwarts drone attack on military base in Shendi
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Sudanese
Sudanese
...pertaining or related to Sudan, located just south of Egypt. It represents another strong argument in favor of colonialism. You wouldn't want to go there...
anti-aircraft guns in Shendi, northern Sudan, thwarted a drone attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on Tuesday. Two of the attacking drones were intercepted and shot down.

This attack comes amid ongoing tensions between the military and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group. A joint force comprising the Sudanese army and Darfur armed movement units had recently departed Shendi to confront RSF fighters at the Khartoum refinery in al-Jaili. Encircling the RSF forces, which had seized control of the oil facility at the onset of the conflict, the coalition aimed to reclaim the area.

Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, Chairman of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Army, had just left Shendi when the assault occurred.

Military sources told Sudan Tribune that the four drones attempted to target the command centre of the 3rd Infantry Division in Shendi. However, the army’s ground-based anti-aircraft defences effectively neutralized three of the drones, while the fourth altered its trajectory.

Witnesses reported that the drones aimed at various strategic locations, including a military airport adjacent to an ammunition depot and other sites near the southwestern entrance of the army command in Shendi. The resounding blasts of the anti-aircraft missiles caused panic among civilians, prompting the closure of the main market until calm was restored in the city.

In an official statement, the 3rd Infantry Division confirmed that its Control and Monitoring Room detected a drone approaching from the south. Ground anti-aircraft weaponry intercepted the drone upon its entry into the division’s jurisdiction, destroying its payload in mid-air. The debris fell within the division’s airport area without causing any casualties or damage to infrastructure.

The statement further detailed that another drone was sighted an hour later and promptly neutralized, emphasizing the division’s readiness and rapid response to hostile threats.

This drone assault marks the second incident of its kind within a month, targeting the Nile River State. On April 2, a drone struck a Ramadan iftar gathering hosted by the Islamist-affiliated al-Baraa Bin Malik Brigade, resulting in the loss of at least 18 lives.

Previously, members of the Rapid Support Forces had threatened to target the army position in Shendi and Port Sudan.

Haiti: Former PM Henry submits resignation of cabinet, transitional council takes power
[AFRICANEWS] A council tasked with choosing Haiti's new prime minister and cabinet was sworn in Thursday (Apr. 25).

The swearing in ceremony of the transitional council did not take place at the National Palace in the capital for fear of gangs.

On a recent day, armoured vehicles rolled past the building.

Every day, bullets whiz past the area, striking buildings and people alike.

Caseus, a local resident, said he hasn't seen Haiti with such a high level of insecurity before.

"Since 1986, Haiti has faced deplorable insecurity," he lamented.

Gangs control most of the territory that surrounds the palace.

A state of emergency is enforced in the Ouest department where Port-au-Prince is located until May 3rd.

Former prime minister Ariel Henry officially submitted the resignation of his government on Wednesday from Los Angeles.

Outrage as drag queen leads young kids in 'Free Palestine' chant: 'Wrong on every level'
[NYPOST] Video of a drag queen in Massachusetts leading a group of young kids to chant "Free Paleostine" has sparked fierce backlash — with some calling it "indoctrination" that is "wrong on every level."

The encounter, which unfolded at a "Queer Storytime for Paleostine" event organized by the Valley Families for Paleostine group in Amherst last week, had gone viral by Thursday as outrage mounted.

"Today what we’re going to do is shout ’Free Paleostine.’ Can I hear that?" the drag queen, known as "Lil Miss Hot Mess," was filmed telling the children in the 30-second clip.

"If you’re a drag queen and you know it, and you really want to show it, if you’re a drag queen and you know it, shout ’Free Paleostine.'"

The kids could be heard mimicking the drag queen by repeatedly chanting, "Free Paleostine."

Furious critics were quick to point out the hypocrisy of a drag queen touting the phrase given the harsh treatment of LGBTQ people in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
"An indoctrination double whammy: ’Free Paleostine’ meets ’drag queen story hour,'" Eitan Fischberger, a former Israel Defense Forces sergeant, tweeted.

"If people can’t see that drag queens teaching kids to chant ’Free Paleostine’ is wrong on every level, then they seriously are part of the problem," British TV host and politician Nigel Farage raged in a post on X.

Meanwhile,
...back at the shattered spaceship, Fffflirgoll the Arcturan slithered stealthily toward the control room, where the humans had barricaded themselves...
Jake Wallis Simons, the editor of the Jewish Chronicle, quipped: "Seriously. Yahya Sinwar, Putin, Xi and the Ayatollah are laughing so hard (and sharpening their knives)."

Knife-wielding maniac punches two NYPD cops
[NYPOST] A knife-wielding nut with a lengthy rap sheet pummeled two NYPD cops after smashing the window of their police car Tuesday in the Bronx, law enforcement sources said.

Patrick Young, 34, allegedly ran up to a cruiser with a pair of cops sitting inside while holding a large knife at around 5 p.m. in front of Brothers Police and Security store on Webster Avenue in Bedford Park.

Young dropped his knife and then flew into a rage — allegedly punching the driver’s side window repeatedly and causing it to break.

Young — who has more than 20 prior arrests — was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital for a psychological evaluation and cuts to his hand.

Young, of the Bronx, was charged with assault and criminal mischief.

One of his recent arrests was for menacing with a weapon, police sources said.

The two officers, meanwhile, were treated for contusions and scrapes at North Central Hospital, according to sources.

Government Corruption
Top Advisor to LA DA Gascon Arrested, Allegedly Stole LA Sheriff Deputy Personnel Files
[RedState] One of LA County District Attorney George Gascon's top employees, Assistant District Attorney of Ethics and Integrity Operations Diana Teran, has been arrested on 11 felony charges related to the "unauthorized use of data from confidential, statutorily-protected peace officer files." According to a press release from California Attorney General Rob Bonta, Teran "accessed computer data including numerous confidential peace officer files in 2018, while working as a Constitutional Policing Advisor at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and, after joining the LADA in January 2021, impermissibly used that data at the LADA."

Sources familiar with the events described in the warrant and the investigation have given RedState additional details. The sources requested anonymity since they were not authorized to speak to the media.

Starting in June 2018, when Alex Villanueva made a good showing in the primary election for LA County Sheriff against his former boss, then-incumbent Sheriff Jim McDonnell, Teran improperly accessed and downloaded the personnel files of Villanueva and other LASD employees who supported his campaign. Sources say this was done at the direction of county Inspector General Max Huntsman, who is also currently under investigation by AG Bonta.

Teran's actions ramped up in November 2018 when underdog Villanueva unseated McDonnell, marking the first time an incumbent Sheriff lost re-election in 104 years. The weekend before Villanueva was sworn in, according to sources, Huntsman sent Teran into the Sheriff's office with an external hard drive and instructions to gather additional personnel files.

About a month after Villanueva took office he got wind of what had happened and alerted the California AG's office and the FBI. The FBI told Villanueva's office they'd provide technical assistance but there was nothing they could really do, and the AG's office gave Villanueva's office the go-ahead to investigate themselves.

Villanueva then tasked a deputy who was an IT expert with investigating the breach. Sources say that expert found that Teran had improperly accessed and copied thousands of personnel files, which accounts were used to access the system, and found emails instructing which files to obtain and when.

That information was turned over to the AG's office "several years ago," according to the source, eventually leading to today's arrest.

Sources speaking to RedState say they cannot share specific examples of how Teran impermissibly used the data once she was in Gascon's office at this time.

After Villanueva took office, Teran went to work at the Office of the Inspector General with Huntsman.

FCC Votes to Reinstate Net Neutrality
[RedState] On Thursday, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), by a 3-2 vote, reinstated the Obama-era net neutrality rule.

The 3-2 vote along partisan lines is a victory for Democrats, who have pushed for this type of regulation for the last two decades and say it’s necessary for consumer protection, fair competition and national security.

The rules, which prevent broadband providers from blocking and throttling consumers’ internet traffic, were repealed in 2017 during the Trump era. The order also reclassifies broadband as a telecom service, as the 2015 rules did, expanding the agency’s authority to regulate internet networks. An earlier version of the rules was struck down by a court in 2014.

This may prove futile, as an incoming Trump administration could simply repeal the rule again. But for the time being, the policy stands, barring any future legal challenge.

The FCC's Chair, Jessica Rosenworcel, released a statement:

"I think in a modern digital economy we should have a national net neutrality policy and make clear the nation’s expert on communications has the ability to act when it comes to broadband," FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel said ahead of the vote. "In our post-pandemic world, we know that broadband is a necessity, not a luxury."

Democratic commissioners stressed that the plan is not an effort to regulate the prices that broadband providers charge consumers, which has been a source of telecom industry anxiety for years.

This rule does, however, effectively regulate the prices that broadband providers charge consumers, as it disallows high-volume customers from being charged a higher periodic rate than lower-volume consumers. If that's not regulating prices, it's not at all clear what might be.

Republican members of the FCC disagreed sharply.

"It’s all just shifting sands," Brendan Carr, the senior GOP commissioner, said of Democrats’ net neutrality rationales. "All fall apart under casual scrutiny."

He blamed Democrats’ pursuit of the regulatory framework on 2014 pressure from then-President Barack Obama and said the issue has become "civic religion for activists on the left."

The new net neutrality rule will go into effect 60 days after its publication in the Federal Register. The date for that publication has not yet been released.

Telecom industry organizations may challenge the rule in court. In 2015, the Obama administration fended off a similar legal challenge to the net neutrality rule then in place, when the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals allowed the rule to stand in a 2-1 vote. At that time, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) cuttingly described net neutrality as "Obamacare for the Internet."

There will be other challenges to the rule as well: FCC Chair Rosenworcel and the other Commissioners will be testifying before the House Energy and Commerce telecom subcommittee on May 7th, during which a discussion of the net neutrality rule is more than likely.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: April 25, 2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title.

[Korrespondent] 21:24 Ukraine handed over to Qatar a list with the names of 561 children taken to Russia, said Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets. According to him, this list is already being studied by the Russian side, but there have been no direct negotiations between Ukraine and Russia - only through the mediation of Qatar. Lubinets also said that Qatar agreed to participate in negotiations with the Russian Federation on the return of civilians illegally detained by Russia.

20:47 At the meeting in the Ramstein format on April 26, the discussion will be, in particular, “how to quickly overcome the difficulties and problems that have accumulated over the six months when we were waiting for decisions on American support,” Zelensky said in an evening video message. “Politically, we have already worked for the sake of support. Now we need to work both in filling the packages with the necessary weapons and in logistics,” the president added.

20:33 Zelensky said that he had telephone conversations with House Speaker Mike Johnson, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell and Senate Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. He thanked for bipartisan support, spoke about the situation on the battlefield, the need for enhanced air defense, including Patriot systems, as well as the benefits of long-range ATACMS systems.

19:58 As a result of the Russian strike on Balakleya, Kharkov region, ten people were injured, said Oleg Sinegubov, head of the OVA. The Russians fired a missile at the railway station while the victims were in the passenger cars of the Kharkov-Izyum electric train.

19:41 Against the background of the decision of the Ukrainian government to temporarily ban men of military age from applying for passports abroad, Poland stated that they were ready to help Kiev return Ukrainians to defend the country. Lithuania also supported Warsaw's initiative. Will countries be able to forcibly return Ukrainian men home - in the material Return men to Ukraine: how the world is reacting.

19:14 Ukrzaliznytsia reported that today its facilities were massively attacked by the Russians. Thus, as a result of an enemy strike in the Donetsk region, three railway workers were killed and four were injured while performing work. In the Kharkov region, three employees of Ukrzaliznytsia were also injured; in the Cherkassy region, the railway infrastructure was damaged, but there were no casualties.

19:10 Denmark will increase military assistance to Ukraine in 2024 by 590 million euros, the country’s Ministry of Defense reported. These funds will be used to transfer weapons and military equipment to Ukraine, as well as organize training programs. We are talking about ordering weapons from manufacturers and financing initiatives of other countries.

19:06 In Udachny, Donetsk region, the number of deaths as a result of Russian shelling has increased to three, four people were injured, said the head of the OVA Vadim Filashkin. The administrative building, a cultural institution, a cafe and about 20 private houses were damaged.

18:39 Russian troops once again struck Belozerka in the Kherson region during the day, one person was wounded, the OVA reported.

18:03 Zelensky said that he held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters, the main topic of which was defense. I heard Shmygal’s report on covering vital facilities for the country - not only energy, but also social, transport, communications and security, etc. In all sectors and by all available means - engineering, air defense and electronic warfare. Gave appropriate instructions and determined implementation deadlines.

We discussed the situation at the front and the production of weapons in Ukraine. “In this direction, we are working, in particular, with partners to produce weapons in Ukraine for foreign funds. This industry helps us survive now and has huge export prospects after victory. We contribute to its development as much as possible. Once a week I will receive a report on new contracts for reporting period," the president said.

17:58 In the suburbs of Kherson, rescuers came under repeated fire from the Russians, the State Emergency Service reported. This afternoon, as a result of another shelling, a residential building caught fire, and rescuers went to put out the fire. At this time, enemy drones re-attacked the same place, damaging the equipment of the State Emergency Service. One of the rescuers and a resident of a neighboring house were injured.

17:51 Putin said that he will visit China in May.

17:19 The Russians struck Balakleya, Izyum district, Kharkov region - they hit near the railway station, seven people were injured, said the head of the OVA Oleg Sinegubov.

16:28 The European Parliament adopted a resolution calling Putin an illegitimate president and calling on the international community not to recognize the results of the elections in the Russian Federation, since they were “neither free nor fair.” In addition, parliamentarians call for sanctions against those involved in holding “elections” in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. EU countries are also recommended to limit all communications with the Russian authorities.

16:20 The new law on mobilization has not yet entered into force, and those liable for military service are already lining up in huge queues to update their data in the TCC. So, the day before, a photo of such a queue at one of the Kyiv military registration and enlistment offices spread across social networks. Read about why Ukrainians are in a hurry in the article Queues at the TCC.

16:07 Ukrainian refugees will be able to stay in Germany with an invalid passport. The Berlin Senate said that for trips abroad, a travel document can be obtained instead of a passport - but "in exceptional cases" when there is a compelling reason for the trip. Such requests are carefully checked.

15:39 The Verkhovna Rada supported in the first reading a bill on the registration of persons whose lives and health were damaged as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.

15:08 Russia hit infrastructure in Sumy with KABs, the consequences of the attack are being clarified, OVA reported.

14:57 The central part of the Donetsk region has been under massive enemy shelling since the morning - at least four people were killed and six were wounded, said the head of the OVA Vadim Filashkin. Thus, we know of one death in Ocheretino and four wounded in Krasnogorovka. Another person was injured in Gornyak, Kurakhovskaya community, and in Udachny, according to preliminary information, two people were killed and one was wounded. One person also died in Kurakhovka.

14:44 The Russians fired artillery at Nikopol, Dnepropetrovsk region, two people were wounded, said the head of the OVA Sergei Lysak.

14:20 National security advisers and senior officials will meet in Doha this weekend, April 27-28, to discuss plans for a peace summit on Ukraine, Bloomberg writes. Sources of the publication reported that the list of participants in the meeting in the capital of Qatar has not yet been compiled. Russia was not invited, and it is still unknown whether China will be represented.

13:59 Lithuanian Defense Minister Laurynas Kasciunas said that his country can help Ukraine in returning men of military age, but will first see how this procedure will be carried out in Poland.

13:51 The Russians attacked the village of Novoosinovo, Kupyansky district, Kharkov region - two people were injured, said Oleg Sinegubov, head of the OVA.

13:48 The Russians have begun conscripting youth from the occupied territories of the Zaporozhye region for military service, said the head of the OVA Ivan Fedorov. According to him, in mid-April, Gauleiter Yevhei Balitsky created draft commissions in the occupied territory of the region. Fedorov recalled that earlier the occupation “authorities” promised not to conscript residents of the occupied territories for at least five years. Fedorov also emphasized that recruiting residents of temporarily occupied territories to serve in the army of the occupying country is a violation of international law.

13:33 Lukashenko said that the Belarusian opposition and its “curators” are allegedly planning to seize the Kobrin region, declare a new government and appeal to NATO regarding the deployment of troops. And the KGB of Belarus stated that “hidden terrorist cells are allegedly being created in the country, which should appear simultaneously with the invasion of the country.” The KGB of the Republic of Belarus claims that Ukraine has allegedly trained “up to a thousand militants who are planned to be used to capture a populated area” in Belarus.

13:16 As part of increasing the number of the State Border Service, new brigade-type units will be created, said the speaker of the State Border Guard Service Andrei Demchenko. According to him, these units “can actually carry out combat operations, armed with artillery and other means to destroy enemy equipment.” Demchenko explained that this is precisely what caused the increase in the number of staff of the State Border Guard Service, since in the future these units will defend the border. “This will no longer be the security model that was before. It will already have a military component,” he added.

12:57 TCCs will not work abroad, and serving subpoenas abroad “looks quite unrealistic,” said Defense Ministry spokesman Dmitry Lazutkin. According to him, after the new law on mobilization comes into force, men of military age both in Ukraine and abroad will have to update their military registration data within 60 days. This can be done, in particular, through an electronic account, which will probably go live in June.

12:24 In the Sumy region, border guards entered into battle with the Russian DRG, the State Border Service reported. The border guards discovered an enemy ambush with more than ten saboteurs in one of the directions. A shooting battle ensued, as a result of which the enemy retreated.

11:36 The Russians dropped explosives from a drone onto a truck on the highway near the village of Osokorovka, Kherson region, one person was injured, the OVA reported.

11:25 The New York Times writes, citing sources, that Biden in mid-February secretly approved the decision to send Ukraine more than 100 ATACMS missiles with a range of 300 km, as well as more cluster variants of the missiles. They were included in a $300 million military aid package in March. Additional ATACMS missiles were also included in the $60.8 billion Ukraine aid bill.

11:09 US Permanent Representative to NATO Julianne Smith said that China is helping Russia achieve military goals in Ukraine by providing, in particular, unmanned technologies and gunpowder ingredients. "The People's Republic of China cannot claim to be completely neutral in this matter, and they are actually choosing sides. I think when China tries to portray itself as a neutral party when it comes to this war, we are not buying it," she said.

11:03 The Russians hit the railway with Iskander in Smela, Cherkasy region, said Air Force spokesman Ilya Yevlash. Civil infrastructure, railway logistics, and administrative buildings were damaged. The blast wave and debris damaged 47 private houses and one multi-storey building, added the head of the Cherkasy Regional Police Department, Igor Taburets.

10:58 New American aid to Ukraine will be enough until the end of the year, said Biden's national security adviser Jake Sullivan. He added that the Congressional delay in allocating aid led to territorial losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and now they will need time to “get out of the hole.”

10:29 German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said that Russia is producing weapons in quantities that are higher than its needs in war, and is now working to fill warehouses.

10:10 Zelensky said that he met with British Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Gantt. They discussed, in particular, the need to expand sanctions against the Russian Federation and counteract circumvention of restrictions.

09:32 Four Ukrainian pilots have already completed language training in Britain and are now undergoing air combat training on the F-16 at an air base in southwestern France, BFM reports.

08:51 In the Kherson region, as a result of Russian shelling over the past 24 hours, three people were injured, said the head of the OVA, Alexander Prokudin. A multi-storey and private house, a critical infrastructure facility, and a gas pipeline were damaged.

08:45 The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports, citing a senior American official, that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could have fired ATACMS missiles at the Russian S-300 air defense system near occupied Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region. In addition, Ukrainian forces launched ATACMS missile attacks on a Russian military base in Crimea. According to ISW experts, ATACMS missiles will give Ukraine an operational effect, but Russia could have prepared. Also, strikes with these missiles will be effective only if they are reinforced by ground operations of the Defense Forces, analysts say.

08:28 The General Staff announced the estimated losses of the Russian Federation as of the morning of April 25:

  • personnel - about 462,980 (+1040) people,

  • tanks - 7255 (+13),

  • armored combat vehicles - 13,942 (+14),

  • artillery systems - 11,836 (+28),

  • MLRS - 1049 (+1),

  • air defense systems - 772 (+1),

  • aircraft - 348 (+0),

  • helicopters - 325 (+0),

  • UAV of operational-tactical level - 9449 (+10),

  • cruise missiles - 2118 (+1),

  • ships/boats - 26 (+0),

  • submarines - 1 (+0),

  • automotive equipment and tank trucks - 15,949 (+57),

  • special equipment - 1946 (+2).

08:09 In the morning, Russia attacked the Cherkasy region, said the head of the OVA Igor Taburets. According to him, comprehensive air defense protection worked against a high-speed air target. According to preliminary information, a critical infrastructure facility in the Cherkasy region was damaged, six people were injured.

07:46 Over the past 24 hours, 104 military clashes took place at the front, the General Staff reported in its morning report. In particular, in the Avdeevsky direction, 27 enemy attacks were repelled in the Ocheretino, Solovyevo, Novokalinovo, Berdychi and Netaylovo areas of the Donetsk region; on Bakhmutskoye - 25 attacks in the areas of Belogorovka settlements in the Luhansk region, as well as Verkhnekamenskoye, Vyemka, Novy, Ivanovskoye, Kleshcheevka in the Donetsk region.

Another 19 attacks were repelled in the Liman direction - in the areas of Serebryansky forestry, Nevsky in the Lugansk region, as well as Ternov and Torsky in the Donetsk region.

The situation in the Ocheretino area on the evening of 04/25/2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin.

See the map here.

[ColonelCassad] 1. The cleanup continues in Ocheretino; the enemy is not making any serious efforts to regain control over the lost village. The enemy's main positions are to the west of the village. There is also some presence in the northwestern part of the village.

2. Novobakhmutovka came under the control of the RF Armed Forces, the cleanup in the village is ending.

There were virtually no serious battles for it.

3. The enemy actually retreated from Solovyevo. The Russian Armed Forces advanced to the central part of the village. They are trying to establish the main positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to the west and southwest of Solovyevo. In the near future, the village will completely come under the control of the Russian Armed Forces after the cleanup is completed.

4. The assault on Novokalinovo continues. Our troops have not yet entered Keramik.

5. There are unconfirmed reports of Russian attack aircraft infiltrating into the outskirts of Arkhangelsk. If this is so, then this hints that the enemy does not have a complete defense between Ocheretino and Arkhangelsk.
Well, the loss of Arkhangelsk means the quick surrender of Keramik and Novokalinovo.

So there's real intrigue here.

6. In the northwestern part of Berdychi, fighting is still ongoing, as well as in the plantings in the Semenovka area. The enemy, despite the collapse of his flanks, continues to resist here.

PS. We continue to experiment with online maps from the NPO Dvina ( https://t.me/npodvina ).

More from Boris Rozhin:
Assault on Krasnogorovka. 04/24/2024

Large video ( https://t.me/Sladkov_plus/10339 ) of the assault actions of tankers of the 5th brigade, who fly into Krasnogorovka at full speed with the participation of “Tsar Mangal”, who was blown up by a mine and was evacuated for repairs. The landing force on a tank and infantry fighting vehicle was able to make its way to the Fireproof Plant, where yesterday it gained a foothold, hung a flag and began clearing the adjacent buildings. All this is accompanied by active fire from our artillery and tanks, as well as return fire from the enemy.

Fires and multiple arrivals, including cluster munitions, are visible in the city. The stormtroopers walked into the fire.

PS. Novobakhmutovka and Solovyevo were also liberated today.

Front breakthrough in Ocheretino. Consequences for Ukraine

Ukrainian defenders hold the defense in the Avdeevka area
The breakthrough of Russian units into the village of Ocheretino, northwest of Avdeevka in the Donetsk region, continues to complicate the situation on this sector of the front.

The Russians have broken through to the village of Ocheretino, northwest of Avdeevka in the Donetsk region, and continue to increase pressure on this section of the front. As Nazar Voloshin, a representative of the Khortitsa group of troops, said, on April 24, the Russian command brought the 55th Motorized Rifle Brigade into battle on the Novobakhmutovka-Ocheretino reserve line. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are also pulling up reserves - units of the 47th Mechanized Brigade, which previously held the defense at Ocheretino, have returned to their positions, and the 100th Mechanized Brigade has been ordered to counterattack.

The problem of the loss of Ocheretino for the Ukrainian Armed Forces is primarily associated with the threat of the collapse of the entire defensive line in the Pokrovsky direction, the creation of which the Ukrainian command was forced to begin after leaving Avdeevka.

It was assumed that in the event of further advance of Russian troops in a western direction, they would run into new defense lines in the area of the Karlovsky Reservoir and the Volchya River, which would be difficult to force.

But in the Ocheretino area there are no water obstacles; moreover, the T0511 road passes through the village, leading directly to Pokrovsk. It was this city that the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kirill Budanov, designated as the direction of the main attack of Russian troops in the spring and summer of this year. And Pokrovsk is actually the border of the Donetsk and Dnepropetrovsk regions.

THE IMPORTANCE OF OCHERETINY
Co-founder and analyst of the DeepState platform Roman Pogorely notes that Ocheretino, north of Avdeevka, is a very important settlement, “because there is a very important height there, which makes it possible to keep the surrounding settlements under visual and fire control, which jeopardizes the presence of our fighters there, in particular, jeopardizes flank attacks on the positions of our military."

“If Ocheretino and the heights in general are lost, it will be very difficult to remain on the defensive along the Durnaya, Berdich, Semenovka, and Umanskaya rivers. Since this is a flank, a lowland, therefore, the enemy, having an advantage in height, can inflict fire damage and hunt for logistics,” Pogorely emphasizes.

WHO IS TO BLAME FOR THE BREAKTHROUGH?
According to Pogorelov, it is necessary to figure out who is to blame for allowing the breakthrough in the Ocheretinoye area.

“The previous brigade (47th) held these positions, prepared them for themselves, they were lined up. They knew their places, defeated the enemy, did not let him in, and held these positions.

Then the 115th Brigade entered and some incomprehensible maneuvers on the part of the enemy began and the front collapsed.
Ukrainian 115th Brigade is a territorial defense brigade, local levies/militia in quality.
All networks are now flooded with posts about a bunch of missing or dead soldiers who were part of the 115th brigade. Now the relatives of the servicemen, who are also from the 115th Brigade, have started writing about what happened. And from this analysis it turns out that it is a very difficult situation, which raises a lot of questions,” the analyst states.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT
While the Russians are unable to expand the breakthrough zone at Ocheretino, the narrow corridor along the railway is well under fire, notes military observer Konstantin Mashovets.

“Delivery of any logistical supplies to the enemy’s advanced units, which are now operating in the Ocheretino area, turns into a deadly task for the enemy... Especially for those who are engaged in this,” he states.

However, the Russian group of troops Center still has large reserves, including tank reserves, and will certainly try to build on its unexpected success at Ocheretino. Moreover, in other directions near Avdeevka she currently does not have such tangible successes.

L'affaire Ivanov (Continued)
Direct Translation via Google Trans;ate. Edited

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin

This is a continuation of this story from yesterday. (Follow the links)

As a commentary, the Russian rank and file are pretty sore about this, and I don't blame them.

[ColonelCassad] 1. Timur Ivanov, by order of Shoigu, was removed from the post of Deputy Minister of Defense. Shoigu himself did not change his schedule due to Ivanov’s arrest and continues to travel to military-industrial complex enterprises.

2. For now, Ivanov will sit in a pre-trial detention center for the next 2 months while the investigation continues. Ivanov's defense asks that he be tried by a military court, not a civilian one.

3. Two more defendants in the corruption case were detained. They hint that these are not the last arrests and there will be more. Among the detainees is the director of Olympsitistroy Fomin.

4. The amount of the bribe exceeds 1,000,000,000 rubles. The initial statements about 1,000,000 rubles were only the lower level of the incriminated article.

5. The FSB has been developing Ivanov for more than two years, collecting information about his activities.

More from Andrey Chervonets:
About the situation

The recording is in the top 200 ratings

Regarding Timur Ivanov. And why do I have a purely negative attitude towards him?

His wife (formally ex-wife, they had a fictitious divorce in June 2022 due to sanctions) went on holiday in the winter of 2022/2023 in Courchevel. In company with Meladze, who shortly before was caught on video shouting “Glory to Ukraine.”
In the photo at the link, she appears to have had a face lift, not cheap, even in Rossiya...
For me, this is tantamount to betrayal of the Motherland.

I'm not even talking about patriotism here. I'm talking about the banal presence of brains and at least some kind of not even elementary, but the most elementary basic decency.

Just imagine, winter 1941/1942. Wife of Marshal Tymoshenko. Holidaymaker in Spain. Or worse, in Italy Musollini of the same times.

Yes, Stalin would have immediately crushed such “marshals” into dust. Both his and hers. At best, a marshal would go to the front as a lieutenant (okay, a regiment commander, no higher) in the trenches. And we endured for 2+ years.

P.S.
Thank God, Marshal Timoshenko and his wife were not like a certain Timur Ivanov.

Tymoshenko is mentioned in the context that this could not have happened under Stalin. Yes, and Tymoshenko for sure!!! not like that.

And under Putin, for some reason, a similar situation occurs.

The richest security official: career, scandals, criminal case of Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Ivanov
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[GlavnoeLife] The Investigative Committee of Russia announced the detention of Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia Timur Ivanov on suspicion of receiving a bribe on an especially large scale. We tell you who Timur Ivanov is and about the criminal case for taking a bribe.

WHO IS TIMUR IVANOV
Ivanov is a man with a civilian background; he spent most of his career in the energy sector. Ivanov was born in 1975 in Moscow - thus, he can become the youngest of Sergei Shoigu’s current deputies. If he is appointed, the leadership of the ministry will be biased toward civilians over the military.

Ivanov has a diploma from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Moscow State University with a degree in applied mathematics. It is curious that he graduated from the university in 1997 and immediately after graduation, according to his official biography posted on the Oboronstroy website, “he held senior positions in commercial organizations.” Since 1999, he was an adviser to the head of the department for the construction of nuclear facilities of the Ministry of Atomic Energy, then an adviser to the first deputy head of Rosenergoatom, and later became the first vice president of Atomstroyexport, from where he left for the post of deputy chairman of the board of Inter RAO UES. At the same time, Ivanov was in the position of adviser to the Minister of Energy.

In the period from 2009 to 2012, he was the general director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Russian Energy Agency” of the Ministry of Energy of Russia. He was a member of the working group of the government commission on energy efficiency issues of the fuel and energy complex. From 2011 to 2013, he was a member of the High-Level Group on Affordable Energy for All under UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon.

From March 2013 to May 2016, he held the position of General Director of JSC Oboronstroy (replacing Vladislav Germanovich in this post), which is directly and through JSC Garrison controlled by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

JSC Oboronstroy is a diversified company engaged in the construction of housing for military personnel, as well as socially significant and strategic military facilities. It includes enterprises involved in design, construction, manufacturing, logistics and energy.

Acting State Advisor of the Russian Federation, 1st class (2019). Honored Builder of the Russian Federation (2015). Hero of the LPR (2022).

“HONORARY BUILDER” IVANOV AND THE TRAGEDY IN SEVASTOPOL
Despite his short-term leadership of the Moscow region, Sergei Shoigu worked quite closely with Timur Ivanov, who managed to enter his inner circle. In November 2012, the former governor headed the defense department, and already in March 2013, Ivanov was appointed head of JSC Oboronstroy, an enterprise controlled by the Ministry of Defense and specializing in the construction of housing for military personnel, as well as socially significant and strategic military facilities.

Let us recall that the ministry at that time was rocked by a scandal related to the criminal case of Oboronservis and the new appointments were primarily aimed at the rehabilitation of this department mired in corruption. Its structure also included Oboronstroy. Ivanov was entrusted with one of the most financially promising areas - construction. And he had to justify the trust placed in him.

As the RBC portal reported, during his tenure, the new appointee “managed to complete several assignments of particular importance.” In particular, he built the Sevastopol Presidential Cadet School in record time in 2014, and also completed the construction of the Patriot Park in the Moscow region in 2015, for which he received the title “Honored Builder of Russia.”

A year earlier, Shoigu signed an order to award Ivanov the medal “For the Return of Crimea.” The Gazeta.ru portal wrote that the contribution of the general director of Oboronstroy to the expansion of Russian borders was “active participation in the restoration of the infrastructure” of the peninsula. The work proceeded at a really fast pace: the media noted that the cadet school alone was built in less than five months.

But quickly does not mean quality. Less than two weeks before the grand opening of the educational institution, an emergency occurred: the roof of one of the buildings under construction collapsed, a total of ten people were injured, and two construction workers were killed. The authors of press publications indignantly emphasized that if the structure had held out a little longer, children would have ended up under the rubble.

But when speed is the main indicator, everything else seems to fade into the background. Moreover, the tragic incident was soon safely forgotten, and the head of Oboronstroy received further titles and awards.

In May 2016, Timur Ivanov was appointed Deputy Defense Minister of Russia Sergei Shoigu. The appointment decree was signed on May 23. At the beginning of July 2016, he headed the Ministry of Defense commission to restore order in the Baltic Fleet, whose leadership was removed from duties at the end of June. At the Ministry of Defense, Timur Ivanov was responsible for organizing property management, quartering of troops (forces), housing and medical support for the Armed Forces.

Also, Timur Ivanov at the Ministry of Defense was primarily responsible for construction. In the new territories, all construction contracts were under him. These are astronomical amounts.
And about the missus:
TIMUR IVANOV'S WIFE IS SOCIALITE SVETLANA ZAKHAROVA
Nothing is known about Timur Ivanov’s first wife. But the second one is Svetlana Aleksandrovna Ivanova, ex-host of the “Take it off immediately!” program. on STS and an Israeli citizen, a rather interesting personality.

We can say that Timur Ivanov married successfully. His chosen one was a wealthy woman, but not entirely free - she was married for fifteen years to businessman and collector Mikhail Maniovich (Children from her first marriage with Mikhail Maniovich - daughter Alexandra (born 1998) and son Mark (born 2002). Guessed who speech? This is Svetlana Zakharova, owner of the Metropol Fashion Group, buyer, Moscow it-girl, regular at social events and host of the television program “Take it off immediately!”

As soon as Ivanov realized that he loved this particular woman, his career took off at cosmic speed. First, Ivanov was taken under the wing of Russian Energy Minister Sergei Shmatko, and then Timur Vadimovich was appointed Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region. Just at this time, the governor of the Moscow region for a short time was Sergei Shoigu, who, after moving to the Ministry of Defense, took the young and talented official with him.

Timur Ivanov's wife has Israeli citizenship. She allegedly designed it thanks to the leader of the Izmailovo organized crime group, Anton Malevsky. There was even information in open sources that at the time of receiving an Israeli passport, Svetlana Zakharova lived in an apartment that belonged to Anton Malevsky. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs certificate, Malevsky is “a killer with sadistic tendencies.” They say that Zakharova was once his partner.

However, this is not the end of the family’s connections with the Deputy Minister of Defense abroad. Svetlana Zakharova’s daughter, Alexandra, also has an Israeli passport and has been living quietly with it in France for more than five years. Think about it, the adopted daughter of the Deputy Minister of Defense lives in an unfriendly country and almost every day posts photos with expensive bags and other accessories on social networks. And this is at a time when relatives of those mobilized are collecting their last pennies to buy the recruits the necessary uniforms and other items of equipment.

In 2018, Timur Ivanov’s wife became the richest wife of all Defense Ministry officials. She earned about 50 million rubles in a year. She owns several plots with a total area of 10,200 square meters, apartment with an area of 317 sq. m, which she shares with her husband, and a dacha. The deputy minister's wife has three cars (Bentley Continental, Aston Martin and Hummer H2), and a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Ivanova has three children, one of them, by the way, as indicated in the declaration, has an apartment in Mexico.
Those are nice rides...
According to the 2019 rating, Ivanov himself was among the top richest security officials in the country with a family income for 2018 of 136.7 million rubles.

Ivanov and Zakharova also have two minor daughters - Daria and Praskovya.

Let us note that the daughter of Svetlana Ivanova, Alexandra Maniovich, after receiving French docks for Israeli ones, began posting texts against the SVO from Paris. This act protected the Ivanovs’ property, as well as Svetlana and her children, from the authorities of the European Union. For the same purpose, on August 30, 2022, the Ivanovs filed for divorce, case M-0401/417.

Malala reaffirms support for Palestinians after backlash
…even though Hamas would have done to her exactly what the Taliban did, and probably more thoroughly. Sadly, being a heroine is not enough to grow brains in the brainless thereafter.
[GEO.TV] Pakistain's Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai
Thursday reaffirmed her support for the Paleostinians after facing backlash from netizens around the world for collaborating with former US secretary of state Crooked Hillary Clinton
>...former first lady, former secretary of state, former presidential candidate, Conqueror of Benghazi, Heroine of Tuzla, formerly described by her supporters as the smartest woman in the world, usually described by the rest of us as The Thing That Wouldn't Go Away. Politix is not one of her talents, but it's something she keeps trying to do...
"I want there to be no confusion about my support for the people of Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
[...] I have and will continue to condemn the Israeli government for its violations of international law and war crimes," Malala wrote in a social media post.

However, the women's rights advocate chose to turn off the comments on the said post on her social media accounts.

The Nobel laureate's remarks come after she faced scathing criticism from a large number of social media users who called her out for co-producing a Broadway musical "Suffs" with Hillary — the former Democratic presidential candidate and a political heavyweight who has time again opposed the calls for a ceasefire in Gaza despite more than 34,000 Paleostinians being martyred so far.

Donetsk (Kirovsky district):

21:33 Solovevo. Under ourcontrol! Be kind!

20:26 Crews of the 152m 2S5 Msta-S self-propelled guns of the Vostok group of troops destroyed several NATO-made armored personnel carriers in the South Donetsk direction

Artillerymen destroy supply centers, places of deployment of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel, and heavy enemy equipment at a distance of up to 30 kilometers. Artillerymen have a lot of work to do; they go on combat duty around the clock.

“Basically, the tasks of my battery are counter-battery combat. Targets come very often, we hit them constantly,” said the commander of an artillery battery with the call sign “Kremin.” “The 122mm 2S1 self-propelled gun “Gvozdika” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was knocked out, tanks, NATO armored personnel carriers very often – MaxPro and other equipment.”

19:54 Collapse of the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine: advance of the Russian Armed Forces in Solovyevo - as of April 25, 2024.

Russian units achieved significant success, liberating territories on the Avdeevsky sector of the front.

After the recent expansion of the zone of control in Ocheretino and Novobakhmutovka, Russian assault groups, developing an onslaught on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, were able to not only enter, but also gain a foothold in the village of Solovyevo, which is confirmed by the Ukrainian news segment.

In the eastern part of Ocheretino, measures are continuing to identify and neutralize the remaining enemy forces. In the future, it is expected that the fire pressure of the Russian Aerospace Forces will increase and the activity of Russian assault groups on the lines occupied by Ukrainian formations in Novokalinovo and the territory of Kremik, as well as a systematic advance beyond Semenovka and Berdychi.

Advance along the railway in the direction of the settlement of Progress is recorded, which in turn in the future brings Russian units closer to the liberation of such cities as Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk) and Mirnograd (Dimitrov), which are currently one of the main logistics centers of the enemy.

19:15 North-west of Avdievka. There are reports that advanced units of the Russian Armed Forces have broken into the village. Arkhangelskoe. In recent days around Ocheretino, the Russian Armed Forces have achieved successes in Novobakhmutovka and Solovyevo.

18:50 Military correspondent Blue Z Beard reports on new successes of the Russian Armed Forces in the Krasnogorovka area:

“In Krasnogorovka, our units were able to significantly advance along the street. Geological towards the roundabout to surround the Refractory Plant.”

18:48 Attack helicopter crews provide safety of movement of Russian troops in Chasovoy Yar (DPR).

Pilots operate at low altitude so that enemy radars and air defense systems do not notice them. The task is to provide fire support to the attack aircraft and evacuate the wounded.

18:44 Assault units of the Russian Armed Forcesare advancingin the southern part of Urozhayny.

18:40 UAV operators of the Russian 35th Army hit Ukrainian Armed Forces equipment –video.

18:20 The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at a residential high-rise building in Tokmak, it was significantly damaged, at least three people were injured, said the governor of the Zaporozhye region, Balitsky.

17:42 The Abrams tank was defenseless against the Russian Lancet. Despite the powerful electronic warfare system, the Russian drone hit the “American” in an instant -video.

16:40 Situation in the Donetsk direction:

Active hostilities in the Velikaya Novosyolka area.

The Russian Armed Forces are attacking the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the southern outskirts of Urozhaynoye with armored vehicles and a motorized rifle unit under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The advance of the Russian Armed Forces in the northern direction is more than 300 meters.

15:40 Krasnogorovka, South Donetsk direction. The enemy reports the advance of the Russian Armed Forces and confirms the location of our advanced detachments.

15:23 Explosions in the Sumy region. The RF Armed Forces work at the facilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

15:17 “Typical Odessa” reports about explosions in the city.

14:37 Donetsk direction: breakthrough at the Krasnogorsk refractory plant situation at 14.00 April 25, 2024:

Along the entire line of contact in the Donetsk direction, Russian troops are successfully storming Ukrainian positions. Footage of the hoisting of the Russian flag in a building on the territory of a refractory plant in Krasnogorsk appeared on the Internet.

This fact indicates that servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces not only broke through the defenses on the southern outskirts of the suburbs of Donetsk, but also gained a foothold in the enemy’s most important fortified area in Krasnogorsk.

In addition to the fact that the plant has a large area, it is dotted with numerous buildings and hangars that can easily be used as shelter. Moreover, it is located at an altitude of about 180 meters, and most of Krasnogorovka is at 155 and below.

It is not yet possible to say for sure whether the territory of the enterprise has been completely liberated. However, given the pace of advance of the Russian Armed Forces, it is highly likely that they are already clearing a large part of the territory.

The liberation of the fireproof plant will actually mean the fall of the Krasnogorsk fortified area, since the northern outskirts of the settlement are private buildings, which will be too difficult to defend if the plant is lost.

14:31 The Russian Armed Forces advanced in the Solovyovo area in the DPR.

After the liberation of Ocheretino and yesterday’s capture of Novobakhmutovka, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a successful assault on the village of Solovyovo, where the Ukrainian garrison had retreated from adjacent Novobakhmutovka.

It is reported from the ground that fighting in this area continues, and in Solovyovo itself a clean-up operation is underway, but the main enemy forces have already been driven out of the populated area.

14:27 A series of explosions in Nikopol (Dnipropetrovsk region).

14:21 Ukrainian Telegram channels report explosions in Sumy. Before this, a missile alert was announced.

14:15 The main thing from the new briefing of the Russian Ministry of Defense:

Russian air defense shot down 200 Ukrainian Armed Forces drones in one day;

Since the beginning of the special military operation, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed over 23,000 drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;

The Vostok group of troops occupied more advantageous positions, the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces amounted to up to 90 military personnel;

The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 350 military personnel in the area of responsibility of the Center group in one day;

Russian troops struck formations of mercenaries of the foreign legion;

The “West” group occupied more advantageous positions and inflicted fire damage on the manpower and equipment of five brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces;

The Dnepr group of troops inflicted a fire defeat on the manpower and equipment of five Ukrainian brigades within a day; enemy losses amounted to up to 30 military personnel.

14:07 With the loss of Krasnohorivka (which probably has very little time left), the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine may face a difficult choice.

Either roll back beyond Kurakhovo and try to hide behind the Kurakhovsky reservoir, or catch on to the cascade of villages Kurakhovka-Zoryanoye-Gornyak and get Berdychi-Tonenkoe 2.0.

Taking into account the fact that to the north the pressure on the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Karlovka region is growing, and even further to the north Ocheretino has already been lost, the state of affairs, if not critical, is already close to it.

13:39 Avdeevskoe direction: liberation of Solovevo -situation as of 13.00 April 25, 2024

Almost immediately after the success in Novobakhmutovka, Russian army units liberated the village of Solovyevo south of Ocheretino, advancing along the road from Novobakhmutovka.

Currently, fighters of the Russian Armed Forces are clearing out the remnants of the enemy, while most of the group fled in the direction of the village of Sokol. From there the Ukrainian Armed Forces are firing at our servicemen.

The liberation of Solovyevo against the backdrop of fighting on the western outskirts of Ocheretino creates very sad prospects for the Ukrainian formations, since Solovyevo is located on the Ocheretino gully, which was a natural fortification.

After the cleanup is completed, Russian troops can put pressure on Ocheretino by attacking the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the south, and also advance along the landings and the ravine to Novopokrovsky, which will also create a threat to the remnants of the enemy in Berdychi.

If the current pace is maintained, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will most likely retreat from the western outskirts of the village to more advantageous positions at the Novopokrovskoye - Novoselovka 1st - Umanskoye line.

13:16 Explosions in Krivoy Rog and Kharkov. The Russian Armed Forces launch missile strikes.

12:30 Situation at the front as of April 25, 2024:

The line of combat contact has not undergone significant changes. There are battles along its entire length, the enemy is attempting “meat” assaults, but they are all unsuccessful.

In the area of the village The strengthening of the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was thwarted. In addition, the enemy’s strengthening of positions in the area of ??the settlement was disrupted. Staromayorskoe.

Bomber aircraft, artillery, heavy flamethrower systems and UAV Marine operators destroyed: M-113 armored personnel carrier, M-777 and FH-70 howitzers, six mortars, three Starlink satellite communication systems, five ammunition supply points. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering significant losses in manpower.

12:29 Russian flag over the Krasnogorovka brick factory -video.

The 5th Brigade of the 1st Corps of the 8th Army of the Southern Military District took the brick factory. At the plant alone, the 5th Brigade captured five large buildings.

The brick factory is the center of Krasnogorovka, the main object; small pockets remain.

12:20 Explosions occurred in Krivoy Rog, Dnepropetrovsk region, monitoring channels reported.

11:50 After Staromikhailovka, the Russian Armed Forces came to grips with Krasnogorovka (DPR).

The attack on the city comes from two sides - from the east, from positions in Staromikhailovka, and from the south, from Mar'inka. Russian troops are currently close to the Krasnogorovsky refractory plant, where a powerful fortified area of ??the Ukrainian Armed Forces is equipped. The tactics of the Russian troops remain the same and have not changed since Avdeevka: first, tons of air bombs fly at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and artillery fires - and only after that do armored vehicles and infantry begin to work.

11:34 Units of the West group of troops occupied more advantageous lines, defeated the manpower of the 30th, 57th mechanized and 77th airmobile brigades in the areas of Sin'kovka, Petropavlovka, Novoselovsky and Chervona Dibrova, repelled a counterattack by formations of the 3rd Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces west of Novovodyany. This was reported to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The enemy lost up to 30 military personnel, three vehicles, two 122mm 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled artillery systems, and a US-made Khimars multiple launch rocket system combat vehicle.

10:30 Situation at Chasov Yar:

98 Airborne Division continue active assault operations and clearing of the forest north of the railway; the enemy is focusing on engineering equipment of existing positions and the creation of new positions, complete mining of the area in order to prevent our assault groups from breaking through into the settlement of Novoe.

In the Kleshcheevka area, Russian units achieved some tactical success, but the situation there is difficult.

At night, in the forest north of the railway, servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were captured.

The enemy is drawing on reserves and using a large number of FPV. Evacuation groups and ambulances were seen in the village. New after striking one of the houses.

On the eastern outskirts of the Hours of Yar, the enemy is under fire pressure. The Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers have to hide in basements and carry out all sorties at night.

09:38 The Russian Armed Forces entered Solovyovo after the capture of Novobakhmutovka.

With the support of artillery and aviation, the 2nd Army of the Center group of forces entered Solovyovo and began an assault on the village, to which battered units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had fled from Novobakhmutovka.

At a minimum, the outskirts are already occupied by our fighters, the enemy is retreating again and the populated area begins to move into the gray zone, the Military Correspondents of the Russian Spring report.

08:49 Fierce fighting is taking place in Krasnohorivka. According to reports from the ground, fighting is taking place on Sovetskaya Street and in the industrial zone. Part of the territory of the Refractory Plant is under our control, we are smoking the enemy out of this powerful fortification.

With the hardest fighting, the assault brigades of two 1st Army Corps brigades of the RF Armed Forces cleared the southern part of Krasnogorovka. At the moment, a quarter of the city has been liberated.

08:20 Avdeevsky direction: liberation of Novobakhmutovka –situationas of 08.00 April 25, 2024

Russian troops, after their success in Ocheretino, were able to develop their success even further. Assault groups of the Russian Armed Forces from the 15th Motorized Rifle Brigade and the ArBat special forces battalion took control of the village of Novobakhmutovka south of Ocheretino last night.
Arbat is a Chechen unit.
According to incoming information, the enemy abandoned the village practically without a fight, which became problematic to hold after Russian units occupied the central and southern outskirts of Ocheretino.

Confirmation of the liberation of the settlement is also footage of Russian soldiers hoisting their flags on one of the houses in Novobakhmutovka. Nevertheless, the cleanup is still ongoing in the village itself.

At the moment, it can be observed that the enemy cannot stabilize the front after the escape of the 115th Mechanized Brigade, and the 47th Mechanized Brigade “from the wheels” is not able to properly provide cover for the flanks. In addition, the loss of Ocheretino, an important stronghold at a height, affected the ability to defend the site.

And the transition of Novobakhmutovka to the control of the Russian Armed Forces will significantly complicate the enemy’s already difficult position in the western part of Berdychi, from where he may have to retreat in order to avoid a “bag of fire.”

08:17 Anti-aircraft gunners destroyed from ZU-23-2 hexacopter “Baba Yaga” and FPV drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk direction.

In the video, our fighters deliver precise strikes from the ZU-23/2 against enemy drones. A fighter with the call sign Cairo showed the destroyed Baba Yaga and told what its main danger was.

“Why is Baba Yaga dangerous? Because it carries a big charge, a huge one. And using the drop method, it destroys both enemy personnel and armored vehicles,” Cairo explained.

This time the drone was carrying several 82mm mines and was approaching Russian positions. Our fighters destroyed it right in the air, preventing it from reaching the target and dropping mines.

08:15 Group of Russian troops “Dnepr” leads defense of the left bank of the Dnieper, striking targets of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the right bank of the river. This was reported by the head of the group’s press center, Roman Kodryan.

08:14 Front-line report for the morning of April 25 from military correspondent Evgeny Lisitsyn:

Belogorovka: The Russian Armed Forces are conducting active assault operations on the approaches to Belogorovka, where the distance between positions is sometimes only 50 meters. Our fighters use psychological tactics, including the Russian anthem in the early morning and other music throughout the day, creating additional moral pressure on Ukrainian troops.

Avdeevsky direction: in Ocheretino, fierce fighting continues in the northern part and on the outskirts of the Altkom plant. The liberation of Novobakhmutovka and the retreat of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to Solovyovo are reported.

Donetsk direction: in Pervomaiskoye and Nevelskoye, Russian units are actively storming the enemy’s defensive lines. In the northeast of Netailovo, the Russian Armed Forces expanded the control zone in forest belts.

In Krasnogorovka, the intensity of attacks on positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been increased with active fire support from artillery and aviation.

08:12 Ukrainian channels report that the Russian Armed Forces came in the village Solovyevo (near Ocheretino and Novobakhmutovka).

08:09 Soldiers from the “Center” group of troops told how they released Lastochkino in the Avdeevsky direction: The Armed Forces of Ukraine suffered heavy losses and abandoned weapons, including foreign-made ones, the Ministry of Defense reported.

08:05 In the Donetsk direction, our troops have improved their position. This was reported by a military expert, retired Lieutenant Colonel of the LPR NM Andrei Marochko.

“During active hostilities southeast of the village of Chasov Yar, between Krasny (Ivanovskoe) and Kleshcheevka, the Russian Armed Forces managed to dislodge Ukrainian militants from their positions located at a commanding height. At the moment, our military personnel are gaining a foothold at new positions and are regrouping for further actions. Also, Russian assault units carried out several successful night attacks on the eastern outskirts of the village of Chasov Yar. The enemy, having suffered losses, was forced to abandon some of their positions,” Marochko wrote in the Telegram channel.

08:00 Russian forces launched a missile attack on Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities in the city of Smela, Cherkasy region of Ukraine.

SK: more than 3,100 mercenaries take part in the Northern Military District on the side of Ukraine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Investigative Committee of Russia has information about the participation of more than 3,100 mercenaries in hostilities on the side of Ukraine, the department reported.
And how many have the Russian army and Wagner together hired?
The RF IC said that the head of the department, Alexander Bastrykin, held a meeting in Mariupol, during which a report was heard on criminal cases sent for transfer to court and conviction in absentia against Ukrainian deputies, businessmen, journalists and other citizens of Ukraine.

“The courts examined 230 criminal cases, convicted 345 people found guilty of murders and cruel treatment of civilians. 35 military personnel were sentenced to life imprisonment,” the RF IC Telegram channel said.

As the department noted, five criminal cases against mercenaries from the United States Deveu Caleb Victor, Ellerbrook Mark William and Moldonado Michael Paul, Ayres Mark John from Great Britain, Cuesta Hugo Julian from France have been sent for transfer to court and conviction in absentia.

“The investigation has information about the participation of more than 3,100 mercenaries in hostilities on the side of Ukraine (including 816 from the USA, 719 from Canada, 694 from the UK and 712 from Georgia),” the department added.

As Regnum reported, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, almost 6 thousand foreign mercenaries who arrived in Ukraine were killed. Poland received the most corpses. 784 mercenaries arrived from Romania, 349 were killed. The Investigative Committee of Russia put on the wanted list more than 700 foreign mercenaries who fought and are fighting on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, some of them were arrested in absentia.

On April 25, former French counterterrorism intelligence officer Nicolas Cinquini reported that since the beginning of the special military operation on the Ukrainian side, at least 75 mercenaries from France have taken part in the fighting.

In early March, near Avdievka, the leader of the French neo-Nazis, Cesar Ozharom, who fought on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was liquidated. The mercenary joined the Ukrainian Armed Forces a year ago. As part of the Nazi battalion, he was transferred to Avdeevka. According to unofficial information, Ozharom was connected with the French intelligence services.

The number of foreign mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine involved in hostilities on the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic has noticeably decreased, and they are increasingly hiding in the rear, said in March 2024, adviser to the head of the DPR Igor Kimakovsky.

Systematic strikes by the Russian Armed Forces sobered up the foreign mercenaries of the Ukrainian army and led to their outflow from the part of the Zaporozhye region temporarily occupied by Kiev, confirmed on March 22, co-chairman of the coordination council for the integration of new regions of the Public Chamber Vladimir Rogov. Previously, mercenaries arrived en masse in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine until they received a harsh response from the Russian military, but now they are fighting in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the command level, practically not participating in combat operations at the front, he clarified.
