As much as this POS needs to become part of a foundation for a new building.

The 8th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution prohibits excessive bail, ensuring that bail amounts set by the government are not unreasonably high and that individuals are not punished before a conviction. Now, if only the LSD appointed Federal Judges would strictly follow the US Constitution in ALL cases.

Side Note: Maybe the GSP tracking neck collar with a Mega Stun device built in, to prevent removal?

French Report Warns Of Islamist / Muslim Brotherhood 'Entryism' As Risk To National Cohesion
[BBC] Islamists are infiltrating France's republican institutions and are a threat to national cohesion, according to a report presented to President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday.
It’s only been going on for two generations, but still — congratulations on noticing.
The report, drawn up by two senior civil servants, claims to find evidence for a policy of "entryism" by the Muslim Brotherhood into public bodies like schools and local government.
The French do like their philosophical jargon.
After a meeting of his security cabinet, Macron asked the government to come up with "new proposals" by early next month in light of the seriousness of the report's conclusions.

Secularism is a core tenet of France's national identity.

According to an Élysée official speaking off the record, there is a "new phenomenon - entryism - which is different from separatism".

While separatism implied Muslims living in a parallel society in France, "entryism means getting involved in republican infrastructure… in order to change it from the inside. It requires dissimulation… and it works from the bottom up," the official said.

In a copy of the report published in Le Figaro newspaper, the authors identified the Federation of Muslims in France (FMF)
…is that a name variant for the Muslims of France (Musulmans de France) or, like here, does France have a number branches of the Muslim Brotherhood in France?
as the main French emanation of the historic Muslim Brotherhood, which was founded 100 years ago to promote a return to core Islamic values.
…one of those core values is the conquest of the non-Muslim world (Dar al Harb) for Islam. Though the Brotherhooders are modern enough to prefer infiltration and colonization and the soft jihad of the law to the hard jihad of the sword until they’ve establish governance of the new territory.
They said the FMF controlled 139 places of worship in France, with a further 68 affiliated – in all around 7% of the total. The organisation also ran some 280 associations, in sports, education, charity and other fields, as well as 21 schools.
In accordance with the MB tradition — seduce ‘em with charity and lifestyle stuff, making religion secondary for the targets.
The aim of the movement was to set up "ecosystems at local level" to "structure the lives of Muslims from birth till death".

"[The movement's] officials, who are hardened activists, enter into a relationship with the local authority… Social norms – the veil, beards, dress, fasting - are gradually imposed as the ecosystem solidifies," the authors write.

"What happens is that religious practice become stricter, with a high level of girls wearing the abaya (long robe) and a massive and visible increase in the number of young girls wearing Islamic headscarves. Some are as young as five or six."

The Federation angrily rejected "any allegation that associates us with a foreign political programme, or with a strategy of 'entryism'".

"Confusing Islam with political Islamism and radicality is not only dangerous, but counter-productive for the Republic itself," the FMF said. "Behind these unfounded accusations there is a plan to stigmatise Islam and Muslims."
Yeah, yeah.
The report has been seized on by proponents of a strict enforcement of France's secular laws, which are meant to exclude all religion from public life.

Interior minister Bruno Retailleau, who on Sunday was elected leader of the conservative Les Républicains party, warned on Tuesday of "below-the-radar Islamism trying to infiltrate institutions, whose ultimate aim is to tip the whole of French society under sharia law".

Municipal elections are due in France next year, and Retailleau - who has won a reputation as a hardliner - has said he is concerned about the possibility of Islamic lists of candidates.

Far-left leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon warned that "Islamophobia has crossed a line", accusing the president's security cabinet of adopting the "delusional theories" of both Retailleau and far-right National Rally leader Marine Le Pen.

The report's authors, who visited 10 different regions of France and four other European countries, concluded that the Muslim Brotherhood was losing influence in the Middle East and North Africa, and so was targeting Europe, backed by money from Turkey and Qatar.

"Having given a Western look to the ideology in order to implant themselves in Europe, (the Muslim Brotherhood) tries to lay down the roots of a Middle Eastern tradition while concealing a subversive fundamentalism," they wrote.

It is the nature of Islam to dominate, not to be dominated, to impose its law on all nations and to extend its power to the entire planet.
Hassan al-Banna

This is the MB's mission statement.

This is Qatar's mission statement.

This mission statement is not a secret.

The left has a deep ideological affinity for archaic despotism.

Maybe that affinity is shared by the woke right. Maybe they're just cheap wh**** who will feed the West to the crocodile.

This 'entryism' i.e. acquisition of power within Western government structures is the central danger, not "terrorism."

Dad of suspected terrorist Elias Rodriguez was invited to Trump address by left-wing Democratic lawmaker
[NY Post] The father of the terror suspect accused of gunning down two soon-to-be-engaged Israeli Embassy staffers at the Capital Jewish Museum was honored by a far-left member of Congress with an invitation to President Trump’s joint address this past March, The Post has exclusively learned.

“Eric Rodriguez was our guest during the President’s Joint Speech to Congress, but we don’t know his family,” Rep. Jesús “Chuy” García (D-Ill.) said Thursday night.

In March, he hailed Rodriguez as “an outspoken advocate against attacks on veterans’ services and the rights of unionized federal employees.”

“Eric represents the very best of our community — someone who has served his country, continues to serve his fellow veterans and fights every day to protect the dignity of working people,” the congressman said in a statement at the time.

“His presence at the Joint Address is a powerful statement: we will not sit back while veterans and workers are treated as political pawns.”

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
A diplomatic storm: Self-inflicted PR damage complicates Israel's uphill battle
[Jpost] How much damage can words do? Israel’s internal rhetoric is intensifying global condemnation and playing into the hands of those fueling anti-Israel sentiment.
“Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.”
— H.L.Mencken
The barrage this week came fast, hard, and from all directions.

But it wasn’t missiles from Lebanon or drones from Iran that pounded Israel this time. Instead, it was a diplomatic onslaught: waves of condemnation, sanctions, and outrage from capitals across the globe, most notably in Europe.

The trigger: images of hungry children in Gaza flooding the airwaves, a wildly exaggerated claim by a senior UN official that 14,000 babies would die in Gaza if aid did not reach them in 48 hours, and Israel’s vow to intensify the fighting to free hostages and destroy Hamas.

A harsh statement signed by the leaders of Britain, France, and Canada, punitive threats – some already acted upon – and the murder of two Israeli Embassy staffers in Washington all underscored a dangerous reality: Israel is not only fighting the war in Gaza but also a battle for legitimacy on the world stage.

The UK froze trade negotiations, the EU initiated a review of its association agreement with Israel, and foreign ministers queued up to censure. Yet, ironically, some of the sharpest blows came not from Israel’s enemies but from Israelis themselves.

PRIME MINISTER Benjamin Netanyahu tried to project calm at his first press conference since December.

“European countries will not influence us or cause us to abandon our core objectives: securing Israel’s future and safety,” he said. Israel, he asserted, would continue to aggressively pursue its war aims until Hamas is dismantled, the hostages are returned, and Gaza no longer poses a threat.

“We will do what is necessary to complete the war,” he said, adding that, in the end, Israel will have complete security control over the enclave.

Even as he dismissed European pressure, Netanyahu acknowledged the power of another force: images. Specifically, the images of hungry Gazan children and food lines that are dominating global headlines and eroding US political support.

Despite Hamas still holding 58 hostages, 20 of whom Netanyahu said were alive, and even with ongoing concerns about aid being intercepted by terrorists, Netanyahu reversed a policy in effect since March 2 and authorized renewed humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Why the shift? Because the White House requested it –
I would vote for Donald Trump again, but this particular triangulation is shameful. Cowardly. He knows the situation and the ramifications, but chose to put his thumb on the scale for the side that created Elias Rodriguez, refusing to stand up against the lies.
and because, as Netanyahu conveyed, even Israel’s closest allies could not bear the optics.
Cowards.
“Our best friends in the world,” Netanyahu said in a short video Monday explaining the new policy, “senators I have known as unstinting, enthusiastic supporters, who I have known for dozens of years, are coming to me and saying this: We give you all the assistance to complete the victory – arms, support to destroy Hamas, defense in the UN Security Council. There is one thing we cannot stand: We cannot take pictures of starvation, mass starvation. We won’t be able to support you.”

To retain international backing, Israel had to confront the humanitarian crisis; Netanyahu said: “To achieve victory, we have to solve the problem.”

IT’S A SOBERING message. Even in a war started by Hamas with its barbaric October 7 attack, optics and false narratives (such as 14,000 babies dying within 48 hours) are shaping the battlefield.

If the original logic in withholding the aid was to pressure Hamas into freeing hostages, the new approach suggests the opposite: resuming aid is essential to preserving international support needed to sustain military pressure on Hamas.

However, as the statements from some European capitals and Canada made clear – statements issued, ironically, the very day aid resumed – the intensified military campaign does not enjoy international legitimacy. But the move may help temper US criticism.

Critics on Netanyahu’s Right called the reversal capitulation. Critics on his Left said it was yet another example of incoherent policy. Both may have a point. But there’s another way to interpret it: tactical recalibration in a shifting geopolitical landscape.

At the core lies a truth too often ignored abroad: Hamas could end the humanitarian crisis immediately by releasing the hostages. It chooses not to because, for Hamas, the suffering of its own civilians is a weapon, not a liability.

“People have forgotten October 7,” said President Donald Trump during his Mideast tour, which ended last Friday in the UAE. “It was one of the most violent days in world history.” He’s right. And many have also forgotten that Gaza’s agony continues because Hamas refuses to yield, free the hostages, and surrender.

This war isn’t fought only in Rafah’s tunnels and in the alleys of Khan Yunis. It is also being waged in Washington’s corridors, at the UN, and on the world’s television screens.

Israel may have the upper hand militarily, but in Europe’s halls of power and in the court of global opinion, it is faltering. Some are arguing – with no small degree of justification – that Israel’s minimal public diplomacy suggests it has all but abandoned that front.

Adding to the public diplomacy challenge is that some of the damage is self-inflicted.

On the Left, Yair Golan, a former IDF deputy chief of staff and head of the Democrats Party, accused his own country this week of “killing babies as a hobby.”

On the Right, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich spoke at a conference earlier this month of postwar Gaza where its “desperate” civilians will all be in the south, “understanding there is no future, no purpose, and nothing left for them in Gaza” but to seek relocation and start new lives elsewhere.

These voices may lie on the ideological fringes, but their words shape how the world sees the conflict.

#3  "I would vote for Donald Trump again, but this particular triangulation is shameful."

In the past, Trump has shown the willingness and the ability to self-correct.

If you don't like what Trump is doing, criticize him publicly, don't trust any 'plan.'

If Trump is a genius playing 4d chess he will have anticipated public criticism. If he's just wrong he deserves to be criticized.

#5  @4 Thank you, but I'm not that gentle, I'm quite concerned.

There's a very strong pro Qatar-Iran-Russia element present within the Trump 47 administration that didn't exist in the Trump 45 era.

Trump 45's policies were objectively detrimental to or indifferent to the interests of Qatar-Iran-Russia.

The woke right / Corbynized right / co-opted right was not a significant force back then, but it is now, probably in all Western nations.

Want to bet there is a lot being hidden behind that statement?

We know the media will spin whatever happens in the worst possible way. Best to take talk of bad optics, waves of condemnation, and schisms between Trump and Netanyahu with a kilo of salt. Problems like the Paleos and Iran have been around for some time now and no one has made a dent in them until recently. Trump is the New Guy. Let's see what he's got.

IDF chief of staff dismisses new Shin Bet appointee from military in meeting
[Jpost] An earlier IDF statement stressed that any communication by IDF personnel with the political echelon requires the approval of the chief of staff.

The IDF on Friday clarified that Maj.-Gen. David Zini was not dismissed from the military during his meeting with IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir earlier in the day, adding that Zini is an appreciated and decorated officer.

Zamir finalized Zini's retirement from the IDF after being summoned for a conversation in his office, following Zini's appointment as Shin Bet head, the military said.

The conversation was intended to clarify whether Zini had conducted negotiations behind Zamir's back in light of the prime minister's announcement about the appointment.

His retirement from military service is expected in the coming days, according to an earlier IDF statement.

The earlier statement stressed that any communication by IDF personnel with the political echelon requires the approval of the chief of staff.

According to military commands, an officer is forbidden from conducting discussions with the political echelon without the knowledge and approval of the chief of staff.

APPOINTMENT AS NEW SHIN BET HEAD
Zamir was notified of Zini’s appointment just minutes before it was announced publicly and did not take part in the decision-making process.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appointed Zini as the next head of the Shin Bet on Thursday evening.

Netanyahu's office's announcement was made despite a High Court ruling that the dismissal of Shin Bet head Ronen Bar was unlawful due to Netanyahu's conflict of interest in the "Qatargate" affair, and despite the opposition of Attorney-General Gali Baharav-Miara.
Bibi has been fighting Israel’s recalcitrant Deep State a lot longer than Donald Trump has.

Racist Democrats Suddenly Oppose Immigration When Refugees Are White
[Federalist] Democrats continue to mindlessly oppose everything President Donald Trump does, even policies they have rabidly supported for years.

Normally extreme supporters of open borders and immigration without limitation, Democrats suddenly oppose Trump’s executive order giving Afrikaners refugee status.

Their bigoted objection? The color of the refugees’ skin. Afrikaners, a persecuted minority ethnic group, are white South Africans with Dutch ancestry and an old European culture.

The government of South Africa has made it legal to take Afrikaners’ farmland without compensation. Trump’s order offers "Afrikaners in South Africa who are victims of unjust racial discrimination" refugee resettlement in the United States.

The Left Indulges Anti-White Racism In South Africa Because They Want The Same Thing Here
[The Federalist] If you want to understand where the left’s obsession with racial "equity" and "reparations" leads to, look no further than South Africa — where white farmers are allegedly being murdered and face discrimination for the crime of being white. But good luck finding honest coverage of what’s transpiring there in the corporate media, which are hellbent on covering up or dismissing the reality so that Americans don’t begin to question the real goal of the left’s racial resentment agenda.

A new law in South Africa means white farmers could have their land taken away without being paid for it. As I previously reported, "Though framed as a correction to apartheid-era injustice, the law has created an environment where racially motivated persecution may become institutionalized."

Meanwhile, murders are commonplace, with white farmers having allegedly been targeted.

The murders are not random — they are part of a growing pattern of violence toward Afrikaners that South African officials don’t want to acknowledge and that Western media outlets actively work to obscure.

Government Corruption
The Walls Are Closing in on Biden's Inner Circle
[PJ] Earlier this week, I made the case that Dr. Kevin O’Connor — Joe Biden’s longtime physician and former White House doctor — should be called to testify before Congress about his role in the cover-up of Biden’s obvious cognitive decline and now his cancer diagnosis. A growing number of medical experts agree that Biden’s condition didn’t just appear out of nowhere; it was likely known about for years. And now, we may finally be seeing the walls start to close in.

On Thursday, House Oversight Chairman James Comer ramped up his investigation into the deliberate and coordinated cover-up, not just of Biden’s mental and physical deterioration, but also the possible unauthorized use of an autopen to greenlight sweeping executive actions, including controversial pardons.

In a major development, Comer sent formal letters demanding transcribed interviews with five of Biden’s closest insiders. The list includes Dr. Kevin O’Connor himself, former Domestic Policy Council Director Neera Tanden, and longtime Biden loyalists Anthony Bernal, Annie Tomasini, and Ashley Williams. According to Comer, these individuals weren’t just witnesses; they were likely key players in the effort to hide Biden’s true condition while quietly allowing others to operate the levers of power on his behalf.

If the Biden team thought they could run out the clock, they have another thing coming. The investigation is gaining traction, and accountability may finally be catching up.

On this morning’s episode of The View, the ladies dissected Trump’s contentious meeting with President Cyril Ramaphosa, during which he confronted Ramaphosa about an alleged persecution of white farmers that has resulted in him fast-tracking the processing of white South Afrikaners to the United States.

"There’s no white genocide. There’s not a genocide happening. There is crime, as there is all over the world. But it’s not about killing off white people. This is just straight —," Goldberg said as the audio cut out. However, she stopped herself before she could finish her sentence with the word "bullshit."

"That was gas," she joked when the sound returned.

Government Corruption
Unmasking the Real Threat to America's Democracy
[American Thinker] America isn't a democracy but a constitutional republic designed to limit majority rule and protect individual rights. This distortion enables narratives that label dissent as dangerous, especially in portraying Trump as a "threat to democracy" -- a claim pushed by institutions caught spreading falsehoods about him. What appears as consensus is actually assigned opinion enforced by media and political power, as "conspiracy theories" used to silence dissent are proving to be true.

What follows is not just a list of lies -- it’s a pattern of systemic deception that reveals where the real threat lies.

The Concealment of President Biden’s Cognitive Decline: A Betrayal of Voters

For years, concerns about Joe Biden’s mental acuity were dismissed as partisan attacks or "conspiracy theories." The White House physician declared him fit for office. Staffers claimed he "ran circles around them." Meanwhile, public appearances were tightly controlled, questions were pre-approved, and scripted answers were passed off as spontaneous.

But in 2024, the dam broke. Biden’s debate performance made his decline undeniable. Millions had already cast primary ballots for a man clearly unfit to serve -- yet instead of outrage over the scale of the deception, voters watched passively as Kamala Harris stepped in as the de facto candidate.

It was an unconstitutional transfer of candidacy that the media refused to acknowledge. This wasn’t spin -- it was a deliberate, coordinated effort to deceive the American public about who was actually running the country.

All while, the same media complex screamed that Trump was the dictator.

Sudan reports surge in cholera cases amid Khartoum water crisis
[SUDANTRIBUNE] Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
's Ministry of Health on Tuesday reported a surge in cholera cases in Omdurman's Karrari locality and Jabal Awliya, south of Khartoum.

Large areas of Khartoum State are experiencing a severe water supply crisis. The crisis worsened after the Rapid Support Forces shelled three power stations in Omdurman on May 14, leading to power outages in the capital.

Khartoum residents are being forced to use water from unsafe sources, such as shallow wells or direct extraction from the Nile, contributing to the widespread outbreak of diseases.

The Ministry of Health's Emergency Operations Centre said in a statement that ''2,323 new cholera cases have been recorded, including 51 deaths over three weeks, 90% of which were identified in Khartoum State, especially Karrari and Jebel Aulia.''

The ministry also stated that Sudan faces other health threats, including dengue fever, malaria, hepatitis, measles, and diphtheria, with varying infection and fatality rates across the states.

Sudanese army unearths mass graves in Omdurman, 465 victims found

ese army on Thursday reported the discovery of mass graves containing the remains of 465 victims of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in southern Omdurman, Khartoum State.

This marks the second-largest mass grave discovery by the army, following the unearthing of at least 550 bodies in northern Khartoum Bahri in March. That previous site was near a compound used by the RSF for imprisonment and torture.

In a statement received by Sudan Tribune, the army said it ''found mass graves in the al-Salha area, south of Omdurman, containing the bodies of 465 people who died due to neglect, lack of food, treatment, and medicine.'' It further clarified that some of the discovered graves held as many as 27 bodies each.

The al-Salha area, part of the Omdurman locality, has been under RSF control since the military conflict began on April 15, 2023.

The army stated that the RSF had detained 648 citizens and retired regular forces personnel, holding them in inhumane conditions inside a school in al-Salha. Of these, 465 ''were martyred and buried in mass graves,'' while the remainder were released after the area was recaptured.

U.S. to impose sanctions on Sudan over chemical weapons use
[SUDANTRIBUNE] The United States will impose sanctions on Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
after determining its government used chemical weapons

...have not been used since WWI except for in Iraq, by the late, unlamented Saddam Hussein and in Syria, but really, honest, not by the Syrian government. And in Germany in WWII, but that was against civilians. Lots of them, just one of many reasons Hitler's also late and unlamented...
in 2024, the State Department announced on Thursday.

The determination, made under the Chemical and Biological Weapons Control and Warfare Elimination Act of 1991 (CBW Act), was delivered to Congress alongside a finding that Sudan is in non-compliance with the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC), to which it is a party.

''The United States calls on the Government of Sudan to cease all chemical weapons use and uphold its obligations under the CWC,'' Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce said in a statement.

Following a 15-day congressional notification period, the sanctions are expected to take effect around June 6, 2025, upon publication of a notice in the Federal Register.

The measures will include restrictions on U.S. exports to Sudan and limitations on access to U.S. government lines of credit.

The United States reiterated its commitment to hold accountable those responsible for contributing to chemical weapons proliferation.

The revelation of Sudan's chemical weapons use follows earlier reports of such actions. According to a New York Times

...which still proudly claims Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize...

report published on January 16, 2025, senior U.S. officials indicated that Sudan's military used chemical weapons on at least two occasions against the paramilitary group it is battling for control of the country, the Rapid Support Forces (R.S.F.).

These weapons were reportedly deployed recently in remote areas of Sudan, targeting R.S.F. members, with U.S. officials expressing concern about potential future use in densely populated parts of the capital, Khartoum.

These revelations coincided with earlier U.S. sanctions imposed on Sudanese military chief Gen. Abdel Fattah al-Burhan for documented atrocities, including indiscriminate bombing of civilians and the use of starvation as a weapon of war.

#1  How curious! An article about a use of chemical weapons that does not name said chemicals. Perhaps I am being a CBW nerd, but dropping barrels of chlorine from the water treatment plant seems qualitatively different than using a nerve agent like Sarin, for example.

Or maybe the chemical in question was white phosphorus. Dropping it on civilians is a war crime, but WP is common in artillery shells used for marking and concealment thanks to all that pretty white smoke. Legitimate battle field use is often conflated with war crimes for media purposes.

Journalists, bah! Although, in fairness, the article does read like it was written by a chatbot.

killed two people Wednesday, the latest attacks despite a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

An Israeli enemy drone struck a car in the southern town of Ain Baal in the coastal district of Tyre and few hours later another drone targeted a car in the southern town of Yater.

The Israeli army said its forces struck a Hezbollah operative in the Tyre area, saying he was "responsible for establishing the necessary infrastructure for the production of precise surface-to-surface missiles in the area".

The health ministry later said an Israeli strike on the southern town of Yater "killed one person and maimed another".

An official from Yater said the strike killed a man who was using a bulldozer to remove debris from his home which was damaged during the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, the state-run National News Agency reported.

It was the third consecutive day of Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Israel said it killed two Hezbollah members over the past two days.

An Israeli quadcopter also dropped Wednesday four bombs on the al-Ain area east of the southern town of Kfarshouba.

Israel has kept up strikes on Lebanon despite the November truce that sought to halt more than a year of hostilities with Hezbollah including two months of full-blown war.

The ceasefire agreement states that only U.N. peacekeepers and the Lebanese Army should be deployed in the south, though Israel has retained troops in five areas it deems strategic.

Lebanon has called on the international community to pressure Israel to end its attacks and withdraw its remaining troops.

Deputy U.S. Middle East envoy Morgan Ortagus said on Tuesday that Lebanon still has "more" to do in disarming Hezbollah following the war.

Aoun and Abbas met in Baabda on Wednesday and backed placing all weapons under Lebanese state control, as they discussed efforts to disarm gangs in Paleostinian refugee camps.

A joint statement from the Lebanese presidency said the two leaders shared the "belief that the era of weapons outside Lebanese state control has ended" and backed the principle that arms should be held exclusively by the state.

A Lebanese government source said Abbas' visit aimed to set up a mechanism to remove weapons from the camps. The source requested anonymity as they were not allowed to brief the media.

The statement said the two sides agreed "to form a joint Lebanese-Paleostinian committee to follow up on the situation of Paleostinian camps in Lebanon and work on improving the living conditions of refugees, while respecting Lebanese illusory sovereignty and committing to Lebanese laws."

By longstanding convention, the Lebanese Army stays out of the Paleostinian camps, where Abbas' Fatah, its rival Hamas and other gangs handle security.

"The monopoly of weapons should be in the hands of the state," Aoun said in an interview with Egyptian channel ON TV on Sunday.

The army, he added, had dismantled six Paleostinian military training camps -- three in Bekaa, one south of Beirut and two in the north -- and seized weapons.

Under the November ceasefire agreement, the army has also been dismantling bad boy group Hezbollah's infrastructure in the country's south.

Abbas and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun agreed that Paleostinian factions won't use Lebanon as a launchpad for any attacks against Israel, and to remove weapons that aren't under the authority of the Lebanese state.

Geagea praised Abbas saying he has always worked towards maintaining "healthy Lebanese-Paleostinian ties".

"Abbas' statements have refuted every excuse the Axis of Resistance® was hiding behind in order to continue carrying illegal weapons," Geagea said, adding that time has come for Lebanese people to have a real state with monopoly on weapons.

A joint statement by Aoun and Abbas said that both sides have agreed that weapons should only be with the Lebanese state, and the existence of "weapons outside the control of the Lebanese state has ended."

Army top brass vows to decimate India-backed terrorist proxies with ''full force''
[GEO.TV] A day after a blast in Khuzdar martyred six people, including four children, the military's top brass has vowed to dismantle and decimate all proxies and controllers of terrorism with unrelenting resolve, according to a statement issued by the military's media wing on Thursday.

"These hostile elements, trained and financed to incite chaos and fear, will be dismantled and decimated with full force of national will and institutional strength."

The statement came after Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir chaired the 270th Corps Commanders' Conference (CCC) at the General Headquarters, Rawalpindi.

President, PM confer baton of field marshal upon COAS Asim Munir
[GEO.TV] President Asif Ali Ten Percent Zardari

...former president of Pakistain, husband of the late Benazir Bhutto, who has been singularly lacking in curiosity about who done her in...
and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday jointly conferred the baton of field marshal upon Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir during a special investiture ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.

In recognition of his exemplary and exceptional leadership during Pakistain's recent military festivities with India and the successful execution of ''Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos'', the federal government on Tuesday elevated General Munir to the rank of field marshal.

The decision was made during a federal cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The government approved the promotion of COAS Gen Munir to the rank of field marshal for ensuring the security of the country and defeating the enemy via the best strategy and courageous leadership during ''Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos''.

The rank of Field Marshal, a five-star designation, is the highest position in the Pakistain Army, placed above the rank of a general.

Addressing the ceremony, the president said they gathered to honour the nation's armed forces and the heroes of the army, navy and the air force, who defended the illusory sovereignty, territory and integrity against unprovoked Indian aggression.

''The entire nation is proud of all of you,'' he added. The president added that it was a matter of great pleasure for him to confer the baton of field marshal upon COAS Asim Munir in recognition of his extraordinary services to Pakistain during the turbulent period and with full confidence in his command and character.

''I, as president of Pakistain, hereby promote General Syed Asim Munir to the full rank of field marshal and confer the baton of field marshal as supreme commander of the armed forces,'' he added.

Pakistan will not get water over which India has rights, says Modi
[GEO.TV] Pakistan will not get water from rivers over which India has rights, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday, a month after a deadly attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) led New Delhi to suspend a key river water-sharing treaty between the neighbours.

The suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty (IWT), negotiated by the World Bank in 1960, was among a slew of measures announced by India against Pakistan last month after the April 22 attack that killed 26 men, mostly Hindu tourists.

New Delhi accused Pakistan of the attack without presenting evidence and launched missile strikes on Pakistani cities, triggering the worst military clashes in nearly 30 years before both sides agreed to a ceasefire on May 10.

"Pakistan will have to pay a heavy price for every terrorist attack ... Pakistan's army will pay it, Pakistan's economy will pay it," Modi said at a public event in the northwestern state of Rajasthan, which borders Pakistan.

The Indus treaty provides water for 80% of Pakistan's farms from three rivers that flow from India, but Pakistan's finance minister said this month that its suspension was not going to have "any immediate impact".

The ceasefire between the countries has largely held, with Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar saying that there is no exchange of fire currently and "there has been some repositioning of forces accordingly".

The warning came after CNN

''Escalatory statements, belligerent posturing exacerbate tensions'', Pakistan warns India
[GEO.TV] Pakistain has stressed that escalatory statements and belligerent posturing serve no purpose other than exacerbating tensions after India's top leadership made baseless allegations.
"And we should know!"
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said a day earlier that Pakistain would not get water from rivers over which India has rights, a month after a deadly attack in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
(IIOJK) led New Delhi to suspend a key river water-sharing treaty between the neighbours.

"Pakistain will have to pay a heavy price for every terrorist attack ... The Mighty Pak Army will pay it, Pakistain's economy will pay it," Modi said at a public event in the northwestern state of Rajasthan, which borders Pakistain.

In a statement on Friday, the Foreign Office said that Pakistain categorically rejects the baseless, provocative, and irresponsible allegations made by the Indian prime minister during the public address in Rajasthan.

Senate seeks military base in Adamawa amid renewed Boko Haram attacks -
[BUSINESSDAY.NG] In response to escalating insecurity in Adamawa and across the North-East, the Nigerian Senate has urged the Federal Government to establish a military base in Hong Local Government Area.

This call follows a motion moved by Senator Aminu Abbas (PDP-Adamawa) and jointly sponsored by all senators representing the region.

The motion, titled ''Resurgence of Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
Activities in Hong and Gombi Local Government Areas, Adamawa and other North-East States'', highlights a troubling spike in attacks by the holy warrior group.

The Senate, while commending the efforts of security agencies, stressed the need for additional military reinforcement.

''We need a full-fledged military base in Hong to support existing personnel and repel further attacks,'' Abbas argued during Wednesday's plenary.

Boko Haram informants among politicians, soldiers
[VANGUARDNGR] Borno State governor, Babagana Zulum, alleged yesterday that some politicians and members of the armed forces act as informants and collaborators for Boko Haram

holy warriors.

The governor, who made the allegation in an interview on News Central's Breakfast programme, also said the Nigerian Army lacks requisite equipment to fight terrorists, noting that devoid of politics, Boko Haram can be wiped out in six months.

Zulum spoke on a day Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, said some of the holy warriors and bandidos terrorising the country are not Nigerians, even as the Senate warned that insurgency could spread to other parts of the North, if it was not checked now.

However,
the difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits...
efforts by Vanguard to get the Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Markus Kangye, to respond to the allegations proved abortive as his phone line repeatedly said the owner was unavailable.

Messages sent to him on his Whatsapp line were also not responded to.
But speaking during the interview, the Borno governor vowed that the state will strengthen its intelligence network and deal with saboteurs ''ruthlessly.''

He said: ''We have informants and collaborators within the Nigerian armed forces, among politicians, and within the communities. What we shall do is strengthen our intelligence and deal with them ruthlessly.

''Let's remove contractocracy. In six months, we can put an end to this madness; we need not politicise insecurity.''

Insecurity: Our borders are porous, some insurgents are not Nigerians — Akpabio
[VANGUARDNGR] The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has revealed that some bully boyz involved in the recent resurgence of Boko Haram

attacks in parts of Nigeria are not Nigerian nationals. He explained that these murderous Moslems carry out attacks in Nigeria and then retreat to neighboring countries to regroup before launching further assaults, taking advantage of Nigeria's mostly non-existent borders.

Speaking in Abuja during a discussion on a motion regarding the resurgence of Boko Haram activities in Hong and Gombi Local Government Areas of Adamawa State and other North East states, Akpabio stressed the need for constant vigilance.

He said, ''Our borders are very porous. Some of these bully boyz are not Nigerians. They cross our borders to launch attacks and then escape back to their countries to reinforce their ranks, especially when they find our defenses relaxed.''

The Senate has urged the Federal Government to establish a military base in Hong Local Government Area to bolster existing security personnel and prevent Boko Haram insurgency from spreading to other parts of the North and beyond.

French farmer discovers large gold deposit on his property
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] French farmer Michel Dupont discovered about 150 tons of gold nuggets worth about 320 billion rubles on his land. This was reported by the British newspaper Daily Mirror.
USD $4,009,379,509.05
"DuPont, 52, was walking along a creek on his farm one night when he noticed something glittering in the water. He dug into the mud and found gold nuggets," the publication states.

At the same time, Dupont does not have the right to independently excavate this deposit. According to French law, he must first obtain the appropriate permission from the regional government. This deposit is already called one of the largest in the republic, and the preliminary cost of all gold nuggets may be about 3 billion euros (320 billion rubles).

According to Dupont himself, his discovery has created a wave of people wanting to buy land near his farm, who also hope to discover gold.

Eight people were injured near Avdeevka in a HIMARS missile strike
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Eight people were injured in the village of Panteleimonovka near Avdeevka in the DPR in a HIMARS missile strike. This was reported on May 22 by operational services.

"Eight civilians were wounded in Panteleimonovka. The shelling was carried out by four HIMARS missiles," a TASS source in the operational services said.

On May 15, it was reported that Ukrainian troops launched a HIMARS multiple launch rocket system at a hospital in the village of Tyotkino in the Kursk region. In addition, a bridge in the Kursk village of Korenevo was completely destroyed. There were no casualties as a result of the strikes.

On May 11, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used HIMARS to shell the Kursk city of Rylsk with missiles. Three civilians were injured and hospitalized in the district hospital. A hotel at the entrance to the city was also seriously damaged.

The following day, a crew from the Russian Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system destroyed a HIMARS multiple launch rocket system in Sumy Oblast, which had been used to strike Rylsk.

Interesting Coincidence - The Last 8 Members of Congress Who Died Were All Democrats
[BusinessInsider] No coincidence at all. While the Republicans started replacing their country club Republicans like Mitt Romney in 2007 with first TEA Partiers and then MAGA Trumpsters, the Democrat Old Guard were holding tight to power — leaving only when carried out by six, including a state funeral attended by all the former presidents except Donald Trump, who was openly told his presence wasn’t wanted.
  • Eight sitting members of Congress have died since November 2022.

  • Every single one of them was a Democrat.

  • The party has been wrestling with age and gerontocracy for years.

In the last two and a half years, eight sitting members of the House or Senate have died in office. Every time, it's been a Democrat.

Rep. Gerry Connolly of Virginia, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, died on Wednesday at 75, after a battle with esophageal cancer.

He's the third House Democrat to die in the last three months. If Democrats had gained a narrow 1 or 2-seat majority in 2024, they would have lost it by now.

The streak of Democratic deaths could just be something of a coincidence. After all, there are plenty of elderly and diminished Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill, including former Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.

But Democrats do tend to be older than Republicans, on average. A report from FiscalNote found that in the last Congress, the average House Democrat was six years older than the average House Republican, while the gap was seven years in he upper chamber.

There are some potential structural reasons for this as well, including the seniority system, which Democrats tend to employ more than Republicans.

The deaths are just another data point in a long-running conversation that's been raging within the Democratic Party for years about age and gerontocracy, which culminated last year in President Joe Biden's decision to drop out of the presidential race after a disastrous debate performance.

Since then, Democrats in particular have been taking age more seriously, including when it comes to who's serving in important committee positions. Connolly notably beat back a challenge from Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York in December for the Oversight position he's now vacated.

Here's the full list of Democratic lawmakers who have died in office since November 2022:

  • Rep. Gerry Connolly of Virginia

  • Rep. Raúl Grijalva of Arizona

  • Rep. Sylvester Turner of Texas

  • Rep. Bill Pascrell of New Jersey

  • Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas

  • Rep. Donald Payne of New Jersey

  • Sen. Dianne Feinstein of California

  • Rep. Donald McEachin of Virginia

-Signs, Portents, and the Weather-
RFK Jr's highly anticipated MAHA report paints dismal state of child health, national security concerns
[FoxNews] The report shows today's children may live shorter lives than their parents despite US outspending other nations on healthcare

President Donald Trump
...So far he's been unkillable, and they've tried....
's Make America Healthy Again Commission released its anticipated report assessing chronic diseases that have gripped U.S. youths in recent years, pinning blame for a spike in childhood issues on a host of variables stretching from ingesting foods with added chemicals to an increase in prescribing pharmaceuticals to young kids.

"After a century of costly and ineffective approaches, the federal government will lead a coordinated transformation of our food, health, and scientific systems," the report, released Thursday and reviewed by Fox News Digital, outlined. "This strategic realignment will ensure that all Americans—today and in the future—live longer, healthier lives, supported by systems that prioritize prevention, wellbeing, and resilience."

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. serves as chair of the commission and attended a call with the media earlier Thursday, when he explained that the report is a "diagnosis" of the state of U.S. health, and that the "prescription" for the ongoing issues will be released in 100 days at the end of August in the form of policy recommendations for the federal government.

The report's findings include teenage depression nearly doubling from 2009 to 2019, more than one-in-five children over the age of 6 being considered obese, one-in-31 children diagnosed with autism by age 8 and childhood cancer spiking by 40% since 1975.

"Over 40% of the roughly 73 million children (aged 0-17) in the United States have at least one chronic health condition, according to the CDC, such as asthma, allergies, obesity, autoimmune diseases, or behavioral disorders," the report stated. "Although estimates vary depending on the conditions included, all studies show an alarming increase over time."

Chronic diseases have a chilling effect on national security, commission members said in a Thursday morning phone call with the media. Roughly 75% of America's youth aged 17—24 do not qualify to serve in the military due to obesity, asthma, allergies, autoimmune diseases or behavioral disorders, they said.

"We now have the most obese, depressed, disabled, medicated population in the history of the world, and we cannot keep going down the same road," Food and Drug Commissioner Marty Makary said in the phone call with the media. "So this is an amazing day. I hope this marks the grand pivot from a system that is entirely reactionary to a system that will now be proactive."

Great White North
Immigration expert warns Chinese illegal aliens using Canadian city as gateway to US
Another reason why President Trump thought it necessary to give Canada a hard time- though originally it was couched in terms of drug smuggling, specifically fentynal.
[FoxNews] Mark Krikorian, Center for Immigration Studies executive director, warns of smuggling at northern border

An immigration expert says that the flow of Chinese illegal aliens into the United States could largely be supported by the Chinese community in a western Canadian city and that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is likely using known Canadian smuggling routes to sneak operatives into the U.S.

As southern border crossings have ground to a virtual halt, the executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies, Mark Krikorian, shared his thoughts on the continuing flow of Chinese illegal aliens from the north.

"It would be logical if they're trying to come across the northern border instead," he told Fox News Digital. "And there are lots of Chinese people in Vancouver. I mean, there's this very large Chinese population, Hong Kong population, etc."

Krikorian said the Chinese population in Vancouver is not so much "teeming with spies" as it is a tool that serves as cover for potential Chinese bad actors looking to cross into the U.S.

"Whether they're regular criminals or whether they're People's Liberation Army operatives, or who knows what, a Chinese community gives them a medium through which to move where they're not alien," he said.

"It's kind of like one of Mao's sayings," Krikorian said. "'The people are like the sea and the revolutionaries are like the fish.' In other words, they use the people as the sea through which [the revolutionaries] swim."

According to data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the number of Chinese nationals caught crossing into the U.S. via the northern border so far in fiscal 2025 is 4,042. The total in fiscal 2024 was 12,414.

The fiscal year closes at the end of September, meaning that the U.S. is on pace for fewer crossings by Chinese nationals this year than last.

"It would make perfect sense that they (the CCP) would use preexisting Chinese communities and networks as the medium through which they get into Canada and then [it's] kind of a jumping off point to get into the United States," Krikorian said.

Krikorian said potential Chinese illegal aliens enter Canada in various ways, including through student visas and tourist visas, which allow them to be in proximity to the U.S. border in the first place. He also said he believes smuggling routes are well known to Chinese officials and that the smuggling is facilitated by local CCP allies.

"A lot of them must be hiring smugglers just because if you don't know the ropes, how do you know where to go and who to talk to and what part of the border to sneak across?" he said. "It's harder than it looks."

Krikorian said he does not believe there is currently a grand conspiracy to send groups of Chinese spies into the U.S. via the northern border, especially because of the Trump administration's stricter policies on border security.

An operation like that, he said, would more likely occur with more relaxed border policies like the ones during the Biden administration and that the CCP is patient and calculated enough to simply wait until America's borders are open again.

However, he said it was unfathomable to think that China would give up on exploiting America's border weaknesses or using preexisting smuggling routes they have used in the past.

"I think the main thing is just people coming for dishwashing jobs, like regular illegal aliens," he said. "But if there's a flow like that, the People's Liberation Army is not stupid. They're going to salt it with people they're going to want to use in the future, whether it's saboteurs or spies or what have you.

"Does anybody think the Chinese Communist Party is stupid enough not to have taken advantage of this opportunity Biden gave them? No."

US tests launch of nuclear-capable ICBM Minuteman III in show of force
[FoxNews] The U.S. Air Force conducted a routine launch of an unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) that is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead on Wednesday morning, the military said.

The LGM-30G Minuteman III missile was launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base in Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time, the Air Force said.

The unarmed missile, equipped with a single Mark-21 High Fidelity Re-Entry Vehicle, traveled 15,000 mph to a test range near the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands, located about 4,200 miles from the launch site, the military said.

"This ICBM test launch underscores the strength of the nation's nuclear deterrent and the readiness of the ICBM leg of the triad," Gen. Thomas Bussiere, commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, said in a statement

US Treasury gives final decisions on pennies…. and it creates a new problem
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] One cent coins will stop entering circulation next year.

After more than two centuries the US government has finally decided to kill the penny.

The Treasury Department will stop minting new pennies and putting them in to circulation by early next year.

Soon there will not be enough pennies in circulation to fulfil cash transactions.

As a result, businesses will have to round up or round down their prices to the nearest five cents, the Treasury said in a statement.

The penny currently costs more than four times its value to make and the Treasury lost $85 million minting the coins last year alone.

As a result, businesses will have to round up or round down their prices to the nearest five cents, the Treasury said in a statement.
The phasing out of the penny may save the Treasury some immediate cash, but it raises the next currency problem, that of the nickel.

'If you get rid of the penny, it will increase the amount of nickels,' Rhett Jeppson, a former chief executive of the US Mint said.

'You lose more on a nickel than you do on a penny,' Jeppson told the New York Times.

Nickels, worth five cents, are also a loss-maker for the treasury, leaving an $18 million hole from their production last year.

The problem could be exacerbated by the end of the penny because demand for nickels is likely to shoot up in their place.

Since the Treasury loses more per coin on nickels - they cost around 14 cents to make - an increase in their production to meet demand could soon outweigh any savings made by axing the penny.

The decision to stop making pennies comes after years of bipartisan efforts to eradicate the coins.

President Obama was critical of the penny during his time in the White House.

Most recently, President Trump asked the Treasury to halt penny production in a social media post in February.

'For far too long the United States has minted pennies which literally cost us more than 2 cents,' he wrote on Truth Social.

We all actually know what's going to happen in the next few weeks.
A massive penny shortage develops, as people will start hoarding them.

Which the Gov will use as an excuse to move us to a digital currency.
Then Government can control, track, or turn off how we spend every nickel and dime.
Like Canada does, its citizens now.

Will the various Local, state and federal Gov penny taxes becoming Nickel or Dime.
Like the gas price having 9/10's BS now

Prediction: Mass Protests, with some new stupid Protest slogan like: Save the Penny, it makes sense or something equally as stupid.☺

The solution that no one wants is to issue new currency just like other countries have had to do when they inflated their money. We sort of did that when we shifted out of copper pennies and silver coins. Now that slight of hand is beyond repeat.

DHS ends Harvard's student visa program over 'pro-terrorist conduct'
Thinking waaaaay outside the box, moving the Overton Window to another galaxy… Secretary Noem just trumped [yes, I did — and on purpose, too] all the management clichés. Why on earth would anyone go to Harvard if they can’t rub elbows with international aristocrats? It’s not like the education is still something special.
[FoxNews] Existing international students must transfer or leave US as DHS demands protest footage and disciplinary records

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is eliminating the student visa program at Harvard University due to "pro-terrorist conduct" at campus protests, Fox News Digital has learned.

It's a severe consequence for what DHS claims is Harvard's refusal to comply with its requests for behavioral records of student visa holders.

"This administration is holding Harvard accountable for fostering violence, antisemitism, and coordinating with the Chinese Communist Party on its campus," said DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. "It is a privilege, not a right, for universities to enroll foreign students and benefit from their higher tuition payments to help pad their multibillion-dollar endowments. Harvard had plenty of opportunity to do the right thing. It refused. They have lost their Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification as a result of their failure to adhere to the law. Let this serve as a warning to all universities and academic institutions across the country."

Harvard may no longer enroll foreign students in the 2025-2026 school year, and existing foreign students must transfer or lose their legal status to reside in the U.S. before the next academic year begins.

"As a result of your brazen refusal to comply with multiple requests to provide the Department of Homeland Security pertinent information while perpetuating an unsafe campus environment that is hostile to Jewish students, promotes pro-Hamas rhetoric, and employs racist ‘diversity, equity, and inclusion’ policies, you have lost this privilege," Noem wrote in a letter to Maureen Martin, the university’s director of immigration services.

Noem offered Harvard 72 hours to provide the information requested for an opportunity to regain its visa program for the next school year.

She called the move the "direct result of Harvard’s epic failure to comply with simple reporting requirements."

Harvard, meanwhile, asserted the termination was "unlawful."

"The government’s action is unlawful. We are fully committed to maintaining Harvard’s ability to host our international students and scholars, who hail from more than 140 countries and enrich the University – and this nation – immeasurably. We are working quickly to provide guidance and support to members of our community. This retaliatory action threatens serious harm to the Harvard community and our country, and undermines Harvard’s academic and research mission," university spokesperson Jason Newton told Fox News Digital.

The records requested include any footage of protest activity involving students on visas and the disciplinary records of all students on visas in the last five years.

Noem said last month she had requested records related to visa-holding students enrolled in the university and Harvard’s counsel did not provide adequate information to meet the demand. After the DHS general counsel asked again for the information, Harvard provided an "insufficient, incomplete and unacceptable response," she said.

"Consequences must follow to send a clear signal to Harvard and all universities that want to enjoy the privilege of enrolling foreign students, that the Trump administration will enforce the law and root out the evils of antisemitism in society and campuses," said Noem.

Requested records also include footage or documentation of illegal, dangerous or violent activity by student visa holders, any records of threats or the deprivation of rights of other students or university personnel.

Harvard could not immediately be reached for comment.

Last month, Harvard announced it would allow foreign students to accept admission to both Harvard and a foreign university as backup amid the Trump administration’s threats to move to block Harvard’s authorization to host them. Typically, students must accept enrollment at Harvard by May 1 and can’t commit to another university.

At least a dozen Harvard students have had their authorization to study in the U.S. revoked over campus protest activity.

The Trump administration has already frozen close to $3 billion in federal funding to the university, largely dedicated to research, and launched investigations across the departments of Justice, Education and Health and Human Services. They claim that Harvard has failed to address campus antisemitism and eradicate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in its policies.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio told Congress this week that the State Department had probably revoked "thousands" of student visas by this point and would "proudly" revoke more.

"We're going to continue to revoke the visas of people who are here as guests and are disrupting our higher education facilities," he said Tuesday. "A visa is a privilege, not a right."

The crackdown on university policies comes after a wave of pro-Gaza student protests and encampments swept schools across the nation since the beginning of Israel’s offensive campaign to eradicate Hamas after the Oct. 7 attacks to pressure university administrations to divest from Israel.

Soviet soldier returns to Russia after 40 years in Afghanistan
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Soviet Army serviceman Sergei Krasnoperov has returned to Russia after 40 years in Afghanistan. He was met at the airport under the name Nurmomad.

"In 1985, Krasnoperov was captured during a military conflict in the region. Before that, he had voluntarily left his unit after a quarrel with his fellow soldiers," RT journalists clarified.
Good to know it’s not just the occasional American who is that astoundingly stupid.
The man is now 60 years old. In Afghanistan, he converted to Islam, married a local girl and started a large family. Sergey has six children.
…five times more than his stay-at-home peers…
The man is involved in road construction and works at a local power plant.
Being able to read and write would put him ahead of at least 70% of his Afghan competition.
He hasn't seen his mother or family for 40 years. When he arrives in Russia, he plans to see them.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on February 15, 1989, Soviet troops were completely withdrawn from Afghanistan after an operation that lasted almost ten years. More than half a million Soviet soldiers were involved in this operation. On this day, Russia remembers the feat of the military who performed their official duty abroad. Veterans of military operations, activists of youth and patriotic organizations gather at memorials throughout the country to honor the memory of the internationalist heroes.

Political scientist Semyon Bagdasarov believes that the USSR should not have simply sent troops into Afghanistan. According to him, this measure was forced.

Trump enlists OpenAI to help launch first installment of Stargate Project in UAE
[FoxBusiness] The U.S. and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are taking their artificial intelligence collaboration a step further, with the announcement of an international Stargate deployment.

OpenAI on Thursday revealed that President Donald Trump
...They hit him with slander, they impeached him twice. Nancy Pelosi tore up his State of the Union address on national TV. They stole an election and put his adherents in jail. They vilified him. They couldn't crucify him, so they shot him. Still, they can't keep him down...
has enlisted it and the $500 billion Stargate Project to launch "Stargate UAE," the first overseas deployment of the AI infrastructure platform.

It also marks the initial partnership under "OpenAI for Countries," the company’s new global initiative to help interested governments build sovereign AI capabilities in coordination with the U.S. government.

"By establishing the world’s first Stargate outside of the U.S. in the UAE, we’re transforming a bold vision into reality," OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said in a statement to Fox News Digital.

#4  ‘ More about the project from the Times of Israel:

[IsraelTimes] The first phase of a massive new artificial data center in the United Arab Emirates will come online in 2026, likely with 100,000 Nvidia chips.

The “Stargate UAE” project is part of a deal brokered last week by US President Donald Trump to build the world’s largest set of AI data centers outside the United States, despite previous US restrictions on sending advanced technology to the UAE because of its close ties to China.

The 10-square-mile (26-sq-km) site in Abu Dhabi will eventually host 5 gigawatts’ worth of data centers.

The first phase of that project will be the 1-gigawatt Stargate UAE project, built by state-backed UAE firm G42 in partnership with US firms OpenAI, Oracle, Nvidia and Cisco Systems, as well as Japan’s SoftBank Group.

The companies say that the Stargate UAE project will use Nvidia’s Grace Blackwell GB300 systems, currently the most advanced AI server that Nvidia offers.

The first 200 megawatts of capacity will go live in 2026, the companies said. The group did not give a number of servers, but analyst firm TrendForce estimates that GB300 servers with 72 chips each consume about 140 kilowatts of power, which equates to about 1,400 servers or 100,000 Nvidia chips.

Russian Armed Forces are fighting for the last section of the border between the DPR and Zaporizhia Oblast
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Fighting for the last section of the border between the DPR and the Zaporizhia region has begun. This was reported by the chairman of the commission of the Public Chamber (OP) of the Russian Federation on sovereignty issues, co-chairman of the coordinating council for the integration of new regions Vladimir Rogov.

“Battles have essentially begun to liberate the last section of the border between the Zaporizhia region and the DPR, which is still under the control of Ukrainian Armed Forces militants,” RIA Novosti quoted Rogov as saying.

He specified that units of Russian forces are fighting near the settlements of Novopol and Zelenoe Pole, located at the junction of the regions. The Russian Armed Forces are also advancing in the Stepnogorsk and Orekhovo directions.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on May 21, Russian Telegram channels reported that the Russian Armed Forces had reached the border of the Dnipropetrovsk region. According to them, the first to cross the border were units of the 90th Guards Tank Vitebsk-Novgorod Twice Red Banner Division of the Center group of forces.

The published footage shows servicemen unfurling the Russian tricolor. However, there was no official confirmation of the information about the Russian Armed Forces reaching the border with Ukraine.

On May 12, the adviser to the head of the DPR, Igor Kimakovsky, reported that the Russian Armed Forces had reduced the distance to the Dnepropetrovsk region in the Krasnoarmeyskaya direction to 1 km. According to him, Russian troops are advancing along the entire front line in the DPR.

On May 20, the Ukrainian Armed Forces lost more than 1,290 servicemen in the area of the special military operation. The enemy suffered the greatest losses in the area of responsibility of the Russian Armed Forces Group "Center" - up to 425 servicemen, nine combat armored vehicles, six cars and three field artillery guns. Russian troops also hit the infrastructure of the enemy's military airfield and a drone production workshop. Air defense systems shot down 89 Ukrainian drones in one day.

Simonyan responds to a accusations of propaganda with a Russian proverb
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] On May 22, Margarita Simonyan, editor-in-chief of the Rossiya Segodnya media group and the RT TV channel, responded to a question about RT’s accusations of propaganda with a Russian proverb.

In an interview with the French channel GPTV, Simonyan stated that the BBC and CNN channels, which themselves produce propaganda materials, often make such accusations.

“You know, there is a Russian proverb: ‘You can’t judge people by themselves.’ The biggest propagandists are the BBC, CNN, which even the president [ Donald Trump ] calls propagandists, they say that,” Simonyan said.

According to the editor-in-chief of RT, normal people would not speak the way the BBC and CNN do, and she does not consider it necessary to justify herself to abnormal people.

In March, Trump said CNN and MSNBC were political tools of the Democratic Party and that their actions were illegal. The head of the White House criticized the media for coordinating with each other, adding that they influence judges and help change laws.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, on March 1, 2022, the largest American satellite provider DirecTV announced that it was excluding RT from its broadcasting program. Since March 3 of the same year, RT America has stopped broadcasting live. American journalist Tucker Carlson, in a conversation with his colleague Rick Sanchez, said that the then US administration violated the country's constitution with its ban.

Former New Orleans police chief criticizes sheriff's 'checkered past' after jailbreak
[FoxNews] Former New Orleans Police Department Superintendent Ronal Serpas is criticizing what he described as New Orleans Parish Sheriff Susan Hutson's "checkered past" after 10 inmates escaped a parish jail last week.

Since the inmates escaped from a hole behind a toilet in a jail cell the morning of May 16, authorities have recaptured five and arrested one correctional officer in the jailbreak.

"Sheriff Hutson has had a very checkered past in the last 15 years in the city of New Orleans, with multiple complaints of administrative failures as the [former] independent police monitor, multiple complaints as the sheriff and the consent decree management and multiple complaints of ethical violations that have resulted in findings by the Louisiana Ethics Board," Serpas told Fox News Digital.

Sparks fly between Education Secretary Linda McMahon and Dem Rep. Watson Coleman: 'You should feel shameful'
Balance.
[FoxNews] Linda McMahon faces fierce criticism from Democrats while outlining plan to return education control to states

Sparks flew on Capitol Hill Wednesday as Education Secretary Linda McMahon faced off with Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, D-N.J., in a fiery exchange during a House Appropriations subcommittee hearing in the latest clash over the Trump administration’s efforts to dismantle the Department of Education.

The war of words began when Watson Coleman asked, "Do you believe that there is illegal discrimination against people who are Black or brown, and other types of discrimination in jobs and education in this country?"

"I think it still exists in some areas," McMahon replied.

Watson Coleman pressed further: "Then can you tell me why the Office of Civil Rights and the Department of Education is being decimated?"

"I am the secretary of Education who has been approved to run this agency by Congress. And I was appointed by the president. And I serve at his pleasure under his mandate. So, therefore, the direction of his administration is what I will follow."
— Education Secretary Linda McMahon
McMahon responded, "Well, it isn’t being decimated. We have reduced the size of it. However, we are taking on a backlog of cases that were left over from the Biden administration."

Watson Coleman grew visibly frustrated and accused the administration of racial bias in immigration and education policies, saying its actions amounted to "favoritism and prioritization of white over color."

In a blistering rebuke, Watson Coleman said, "Your rhetoric means nothing to me. What means something to me is the actions of this administration. I’m telling you, the Department of Education is one of the most important departments in this country. And you should feel shameful to be engaged with an administration that doesn’t give a damn."

McMahon, remaining composed, replied, "I am the secretary of Education who has been approved to run this agency by Congress. And I was appointed by the president. And I serve at his pleasure under his mandate. So, therefore, the direction of his administration is what I will follow."

The exchange came as part of a larger hearing in which McMahon laid out President Donald Trump’s 2026 education budget proposal, which calls for a $12 billion cut to the Education Department, a 15% reduction.

McMahon described her work as the department’s "final mission": to wind it down and restore education oversight to states, parents and local educators.

"Let’s focus on literacy. What we’re seeing in those scores is a failure of our students to learn to read," McMahon said. "We’ve lost the fundamentals."

Chairman Rep. Robert Aderholt, R-Ala., praised McMahon’s approach, noting, "Despite $3 trillion in federal education spending since 1980, student achievement has not improved. The answer is not more money. It’s more accountability and local control."

The plan consolidates 18 federal programs into a single $2 billion block grant to states. Democrats labeled the proposal as a backdoor effort to gut federal support for public schools.

On student loans, McMahon said the department has begun recovering repayments after years of Biden-era pauses and confusion.

"Since we restarted collections in May, we have recovered nearly $100 million," she said.

She also defended staffing cuts and administrative restructuring, stating, "We’re delivering on all of our statutory requirements with fewer people and lower overhead."

Republicans on the subcommittee shared their support for charter schools and school choice. McMahon, in agreement, pointed to a proposed $60 million increase in charter school funding.

"We’ve got about a million students on charter school waiting lists," she said. "Parents should be deciding where their children can go to school and get the best education."

Democrats also criticized McMahon for not defending early childhood education, particularly Head Start, even though the program technically falls under the Department of Health and Human Services.

"Every Head Start program in the country has three days of funding. That’s not someone else’s problem. It’s America’s children," said Rep. Josh Harder, D-Calif.

McMahon responded, "The earlier we can start education, the better, but I don’t believe the federal government is responsible for everything. That’s where states can lead."

The Trump administration also defended its position forcefully outside the hearing room.

"On the topic of corruption, let’s not forget that the Department of Education was created by President Carter in an attempt to win voters," Savannah Newhouse, Education Department press secretary, said in a statement to Fox News Digital following the exchange.

"Since then, we have spent over $3 trillion pretending the department is necessary as student learning outcomes have not improved," she continued. "While the congresswoman from New Jersey basks in her five minutes of fame, the Trump administration is working to improve student outcomes and ensure American families have access to the quality education that they deserve."

Trump's FDA drops Covid vaccine bombshell as Pfizer and Moderna admit heart damage risk
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The FDA is forcing Pfizer and Moderna to use expanded warning labels about the risks of heart damage tied to Covid vaccines.

The shots previously included warning labels about the rare risks of myocarditis, inflammation of the heart muscle, and pericarditis, inflammation of the sac-like lining surrounding the heart.

The new labels will expand that warning to certain age groups — specifically males aged 16 to 25 who appear to be at the highest risk of the rare complication.
Draft age.
The new guidance comes as an FDA analysis of insurance claims found myocarditis and pericarditis occurred in one in 125,000 doses of the 2023-2024 shots for children and adults under 65.

For men under 25, the risk was 19 per 500,000, or the equivalent of one in 250.

Experts caution there have been no US deaths directly tied to Covid vaccine-triggered myocarditis and that the Covid virus itself is linked to heart damage, meaning the benefits of vaccination might still outweigh the small risk.

The CDC previously acknowledged both conditions were known side effects of the vaccines but did not provide a number of cases.

It's unclear exactly when the new labels will go into effect or if Pfizer or Moderna disputed the order.

Boko Haram Intensifies Attacks in Cameroon Amid Resurgence in Lake Chad Region
[HUMANGLEMEDIA] A Cameroon
...a long, narrow country that fills the space between Nigeria and Chad on the northeast, CAR to the southeast. Prior to incursions by Boko Haram nothing ever happened there...
ian soldier was killed and three others were maimed during a two-night attack by Boko Haram
... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality...
hard boyz from 19 to 20 May. The assault occurred in Kerawa, a locality on the border with Nigeria, within the Kolofata sub-division of the Mayo-Sava division in the Far North region.

A member of the local vigilante committee said the assailants, who came from Nigeria, targeted a Cameroonian military post. ''After opening fire on the post, the assailants quickly fled towards the Nigeria-Cameroon border,'' he stated.

The recent attack highlights an alarming trend, as Boko Haram hard boyz have become more aggressive since March, utilising previously unseen sophisticated weaponry during their operations. Notably, one major incident occurred on the night of March 24 to 25, 2025, in Wulgo, in the Logone-et-Chari division, where 12 Cameroonian soldiers bit the dust.

This week's deadly assault serves as a reminder that, despite claims of a retreat by the terrorists, the threat they pose remains constant within the Lake Chad Basin. Even with strong responses from the Cameroonian army, Boko Haram continues to conduct violent mostly peaceful operations, instilling fear and destabilising the border areas with Nigeria. This comes despite repeated assertions from the military that they have broken the back of Boko Haram in the region.

As part of its intensified violent mostly peaceful campaign, Boko Haram/ISWAP increased the deployment of improvised bombs (IEDs) along critical highways in the Lake Chad region, especially in Nigeria. Over the past month, numerous IED detonations occurred, resulting in casualties among both civilians and security forces.

Recent developments have seen two significant bridges — one in the Gujiba local government area of Yobe State and the other in the Biu local government area of Borno State — damaged by IED blasts attributed to the terrorist group. These incidents have significantly disrupted mobility, making entire routes perilous and putting commuters at heightened risk of attacks, particularly in resettled communities that are already unstable.

The destruction of these essential infrastructures also threatens humanitarian efforts and the region's economic stability. Human rights groups, humanitarian organizations, and local media have cautioned for months that resettling populations without adequate security measures may expose them to reprisals and further displacement.

Ernie Els and Retief Goosen dragged into Donald Trump's ambush of Cyril Ramaphosa
[The South African] Former world number one golfer, Ernie Els, declared himself a "proud South African" as he was dragged into the ambush of his country’s leader Cyril Ramaphosa by US President Donald Trump
...Never got invited to a P.Diddy party...
in the Oval Office.

Ramaphosa invited Els and another leading South African golfer, Retief Goosen, to accompany him to the White House meeting on Wednesday, where Trump claimed genocide is being committed against white people in South Africa.

KEEN GOLFER
The South African president had strategically chosen Els and Goosen, who are white and have six major championship titles between them, to appeal to Trump, a keen golfer who also owns several golf courses around the world.

They watched as Trump played a video that he said showed black South African politicians calling for the persecution of white people and Ramaphosa repeatedly tried to debunk the claims.

As Trump dug in, Els, who has played golf with the US president, was invited to speak from his position behind one of the sofas where the South African delegation was sitting.

Els pulled out his passport and described himself as a "proud South African" and referred to post-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela’s calls for unity in South Africa.

"I know there was a lot of anger through the transition, there was a lot of stuff happening in the apartheid days," he said.

"We grew up in the apartheid era, but I don’t think two wrongs make a right."

#3  #2 Just bring two white men and talk about golf.

It would have worked too, except for all the killings!

Showing video clips at a presser is a ballsy move, diplomatically speaking. It is a wonder Donald does not clank when he walks.

As a negotiator, Trump likes to open big. "Look Cyril, we can do business but you gotta fix this problem for me. The farmer thing is bad optics. (in addition to being embarrassingly dysfunctional in a modern country)"

I do like how "ambushed" is showing up everywhere. My 2nd favorite is excusing the farmer murders by pointing out how many more blacks have been killed.

#4  Pretty condescending.

Of course, when they get into a bunker, they can get out without having to worry about someone filling the room with smoke.

Yes, ambushed is an interesting go-to, unless they are trying to co-opt it before what really happens gets out. One of the interesting things I read was creating false areas of cover/conceal so that when lights are kicked on, the ambushers are naturally drawn to them, and so self pin themselves.

Polish PM Donald Tusk: Baltic Sea could become a place of confrontation between Russia and the West
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Baltic Sea could become a place of permanent confrontation between Russia and the West. This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk on May 22.

"The Baltic Sea will become a place of permanent confrontation (between Russia and the West. - Ed.)," Tusk said at a meeting with the commanders of the Navy in Gdynia, his speech was broadcast by the TVP Info television channel.

According to the prime minister, incidents near infrastructure facilities in the Baltic "will occur more and more often." The day before, Tusk reported "suspicious activity of a sanctioned vessel" in the area of the underwater cable that connects Poland and Sweden. According to the republic's Defense Ministry, the vessel was in neutral waters and allegedly changed course due to the impact of Polish aviation.

In December 2024, several DC submarine cables failed in the Baltic Sea. Following this, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced that the alliance would deploy military patrols in the region to protect underwater infrastructure.

In January, two NATO warships entered the Gulf of Finland. At that time, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, noted: The West took advantage of the incident in the Baltic Sea to expand its military presence, and is now undermining international energy security.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on May 20 Zakharova stated that the provocations of the North Atlantic Alliance countries in the Baltic Sea should receive a clear assessment from the world community. On April 30, the Russian Presidential Aide and the head of the Maritime Collegium Nikolai Patrushev called for additional measures to be taken against Russia's threats at sea.

According to him, the military-political situation in the world currently demonstrates a high level of tension, including due to NATO's military activity in the Baltic and North Sea, as well as in the North Atlantic and the Asia-Pacific region.

#2  It's always been my understanding that the purpose of sanctions is to put pressure on a country while stopping short of outright war. But that incident on May 20 sounds to me like an attempted naval blockade and IIUC, a naval blockade is an act of war.

I think NATO's Article 5 should be nullified if NATO members like Poland initiate hostilities without the consent of other members. IOW, hot headed fools like Tusk should not be allowed to drag the rest of us into WWIII.

I don't care if he calls it a sanctioned vessel or not. If he gets his nose bloodied attempting to enforce his dumb ass sanctions, he's on his own.
