Putin fires five more generals: report
[The Hill] Russian President Vladimir Putin fired a slew of generals earlier this week as Moscow continues to experience losses among its top officers and generals during its invasion of Ukraine.

Five top generals — Maj. Gens. Vasily Kukushkin, Alexander Laas, Andrey Lipilin, Alexander Udovenko and Yuri Instrankin — in addition to Police Colonel Emil Musin were fired by the Russian president on Monday, the Russian newspaper Pravda reported, citing a decree extract, which a source close to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia confirmed the authenticity of to the news outlet.

Pravda, citing Russian media organization RBC, noted that a standard employee reshuffle procedure accounted for why the top officials had been fired.

But the development comes as officials have noted that Russia has suffered an unprecedented loss of top officers and generals.

"In modern history, there is no situation comparable in terms of the deaths of generals. ... Here, on the Russian side, in a two-month period, we’ve seen at least a dozen, if not more, Russian generals killed," former supreme allied commander of NATO, Retired Adm. James Stavridis, told John Catsimatidis on WABC 770 AM in an interview early last month.

The United Kingdom’s defense ministry also noted that Russia had likely suffered serious losses of "mid and junior ranking officers" amid the ongoing conflict.

"Brigade and battalion commanders likely deploy forwards into harm’s way because they are held to an uncompromising level of responsibility for their units’ performance. Similarly, junior officers have had to lead to the lowest level tactical actions, as the army lacks the cadre of highly trained and empowered non-commissioned officers (NCOs) who fulfill that role in Western forces," the ministry said in an intelligence update late last month.

Biden adds ‘intersex' to annual June ‘Pride Month' proclamation
WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — The Biden administration declared that June will be called "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, And Intersex Pride Month" in a proclamation released on Tuesday. Last year, "intersex" was not included in the proclamation.

Intersex is a chromosomal defect that affects fewer than one percent of Americans.

"Today, the rights of LGBTQI+ Americans are under relentless attack. Members of the LGBTQI+ community — especially people of color and trans people — continue to face discrimination and cruel, persistent efforts to undermine their human rights," President Joe Biden’s proclamation stated.

He criticized the “onslaught of dangerous anti-LGBTQI+ legislation [that] has been introduced,” in apparent reference to laws or actions that prohibit the chemical and genital mutilation of minors. These laws are aimed at “targeting transgender children and their parents and interfering with their access to health care,” according to the president.

The Biden administration has released several documents that urge the chemical and genital mutilation of children who struggle with gender confusion. The guidance documents support the injection of children with irreversible puberty blockers as well as the surgical removal of healthy tissue and body parts.

#3  If you are wondering what 'Intersex' means. Its a rare biological condition:

From the Intersex Society: (yes I looked it up...)

Intersex is a general term used for a variety of conditions in which a person is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn’t seem to fit the typical definitions of female or male. For example, a person might be born appearing to be female on the outside, but having mostly male-typical anatomy on the inside. Or a person may be born with genitals that seem to be in-between the usual male and female types—for example, a girl may be born with a noticeably large clitoris, or lacking a vaginal opening, or a boy may be born with a notably small penis, or with a scrotum that is divided so that it has formed more like labia. Or a person may be born with mosaic genetics, so that some of her cells have XX chromosomes and some of them have XY.

No Free Lunch: Biden Admin Will Pull Meal Funding for Schools That Don't Comply With Its LGBT Agenda
[FreeBeacon] The Biden administration is requiring schools to comply with its LGBT policies or lose billions in federal funding for school lunches.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Service announced in May it will prevent low-income students from participating in its National School Lunch Program if their public school does not adopt the administration's interpretation of Title IX, which holds that the federal civil rights law's provision against discrimination based on sex includes designations of sexual orientation and gender identity. The move was originally reported by The Center Square.

A spokeswoman for Florida governor Ron DeSantis (R.) said the Biden administration’s decision to "withhold food from disadvantaged children in order to advance a deranged political agenda" was "appalling."

"We will not allow Biden to force Floridians to choose between children’s food and parents’ rights," DeSantis’s press secretary Christina Pushaw told the Washington Free Beacon. "That is the kind of ’decision' that a totalitarian regime would force upon its citizenry."

South Dakota governor Kristi Noem (R.) told the Free Beacon her state will take legal action.

"Joe Biden has threatened to take away children’s school lunch money to pursue his radical agenda," Noem said. "He’s targeting states like ours that make it clear biological men do NOT belong in girls’ bathrooms and sports. If you act on this, Joe, we’ll see you in court and we will win."

Someone apparently leaked classified Chinese tank schematics to win an online argument
[Task and Purpose] Fans of the free-to-play military video game "War Thunder" are so passionate about the game that they’ve taken to sharing actual classified schematics for real-life military vehicles in an effort to win arguments with complete strangers online.

If three make a trend, well, this is a trend. Because now there is another instance of someone apparently leaking classified military documents to make sure that their tank video game more accurately conforms with reality.

The popular armored combat simulator features modern land, air, and sea craft, and has a devoted following of roughly 50,000 players. And some of them seemingly can’t help themselves from leaking classified military data to make the gaming experience more accurate.

The latest incident, first reported by the OSINTtechnical Twitter account, involves information in Mandarin on the penetrator section of a Chinese tank round along with a technical diagram.

While many of the original images have been taken down, they were essentially the schematics for a Chinese tank munition, presumably revealed to the world so a video game could more accurately depict what would happen if a Chinese tank and an American tank — or British, French, Russian, German or Israeli tank — met in combat.

And this isn’t the first time these forums have become an outlet for technical leaks.

Back in July 2021, someone who very possibly could have been a commander in the Royal Tank Regiment of the United Kingdom, uploaded some documents to the "War Thunder" forums detailing the technical specifications of Britain’s Challenger 2 tank. Presumably, this was in an effort to prove that the game had gotten details wrong about the tank.

Expert Says Parents Will Choose ‘Digital Babies' in the Metaverse Over Real Ones Within 50 Years
[Summit] An expert on artificial intelligence says that within 50 years, parents will opt to have "digital offspring" that only exist in the metaverse due to concerns over the environment and overpopulation.

The prediction was made by Catriona Campbell, who is described as "one of the UK’s leading authorities on artificial intelligence."

According to Campbell, parents will decide to have digital babies, an updated version of Japanese Tamagotchi digital pet toys, for the same reasons they are already choosing not to have real babies, namely, "concerns about the environment, overpopulation, the rising cost of bringing up a child."

"Campbell predicts they will be commonplace and embraced by society within half a century," reports left-wing newspaper the Guardian.

The AI expert says the cyberspace babies will eventually be indistinguishable from the real thing and that if parents get bored of them, they can just cancel them like they would a monthly Netflix subscription.

"Campbell says virtual children will look like you, and you will be able to play with and cuddle them. They will be capable of simulated emotional responses as well as speech, which will range from "googoo gaga" to backchat, as they grow older," reports the newspaper.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Fred Reed - She's Gonna blow: It's Weimar, But Where Is Our Adolf?
[Barely a Blog] As the sentient have presumably noticed, the United States is in crisis, the country’s problems are profound, intrinsic, without solution, and worsening. When a population reaches the point of despair, even desperation, when it sees a darkening future for itself and its children, people yearn for a strong man who will forcibly put things right. Yet it is unlikely that helicopters of Marines from Quantico will descend on the White House and announce the dictatorship of some general. Military officers are too well paid and comfortable to worry about the country. It is hard to imagine an American Mussolini. Trump is a caricature and no one else comes to mind. Yet "unrest" —less euphemistically, "chaos" on the order of Mr. Floyd’s massive riots, is possible. We have seen it. We can see it again.

Consider America today. By comparison with Japan, China, Korea, it is a barbarity, a dumpster, an asylum, an abattoir, an astonishment. San Francisco loses conventions because of needles and excrement on the sidewalks. Almost weekly we see multiple shootings in stores, high schools and, now, grade schools. Murders of whites by blacks run at thirty a month, the news being suppressed. In cities across the country crime is out of control, the tax bases moving out, bail abolished so criminals are freed in hours. Stores leave to escape undiscouraged shoplifting and robbery. Seven hundred homicides a year in Chicago, 300 in Baltimore, and at least twice as many shot but survive, similar numbers in a dozen cities. For practical purposes, law does not exists in these ungovernable enclaves. Sexual curiosities, once called perversions, flourish with American embassies hoisting flags in support of transsexualism. Mobs topple historical statues. Many tens of thousands live on sidewalks and a hundred thousand a year die of opioid overdoses. The country drops math requirements and English grammar in schools, AP courses, and SATs as racist. The economy declines, jobs have left for other climes, medical care is beyond most people’s means, government is corrupt and incompetent, and wars are unending. There is actual hatred between racial, political, and regional groups. Ominously, gun sales are up.

How is this going to end well? How did we get here?

America has never been a nation in the correct sense of the word, a people sharing values, language, a culture. Rather it has been, and is, a collection of peoples having little and common and, often disliking each other. West Virginia has nothing in common with Massachusetts which has nothing in common with the Deep South which has nothing in common with coastal California which has nothing in common with Cavalier Virginia which has nothing in common with Latinos who have nothing in common with blacks.

Until perhaps the early Sixties, the regions got along with each other reasonably well because there was little communication between them. Roads were poor, the internet was not even on the horizon. Radio stations and newspapers were local, reflecting the surrounding culture and taste. The central government was remote and had little influence locally. Each region lived as it wished.

Providing a degree of commonalty was that the country was overwhelmingly white, European, Anglophone and, at least nominally, Christian. It was socially conservative, largely consisting of small towns.

The resulting culture was unsophisticated but civilized. In the suburbs of Washington (I was there) you really could leave your bike anywhere and it would be there when you came back. In summer children really could play great sprawling multiblock games of hide-and-seek after dark and no one worried. In high school in rural Virginia (I was there too) the boys had guns for hunting deer and shooting varmints in the bean fields and you could leave your .410 in the back seat of your jalopy in the school’s parking lot. Nobody thought of shooting anyone. It wasn’t in the culture. If a thing isn’t in the culture, it doesn’t happen. You don’t need policemen. The boys didn’t use bad language around the girls or vice versal and nobody even thought of disrespect to teachers. There were class clowns (I may know somewhat of this), but no real misbehavior. It wasn’t in white, technically Christian, semi-rural culture.

Then many things happened. In no particular order:

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iranian dissident group says it hacked 5,000 surveillance cameras in Tehran
[IsraelTimes] Attack also defaces websites with graphics criticizing the ’anti-human Khomeini,’ ahead of events marking anniversary of Islamic Theocratic Republic founder’s death

Government-run surveillance cameras around Iran’s capital reportedly were "disrupted" Thursday, while an exile group claimed it hacked into over 5,000 cameras around Tehran ahead of commemoration events honoring the founder of the Islamic Theocratic Republic.

The Young Journalists Club, an affiliate of Iranian state television
... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
, acknowledged the disruption on Twitter after the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq claimed it penetrated the cameras, including around the mausoleum of the late Grand Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. The website for Tehran’s municipality also went down, as well as "communication systems" used by the city, the report said.

The semiofficial ISNA news agency later quoted Tehran’s municipality as acknowledging the hack.

The Mujahedeen-e-Khalq released a video clip it claimed showed the municipality website and others defaced with a graphic that criticized the "anti-human Khomeini." It also included an image of Lord High Potentate and Supreme Leader of All He Surveys Ayatollah Ali Khamenei
...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini...
with a red "X" over his face, as well as images of MEK leaders Massoud Rajavi and his wife, Maryam Rajavi, while calling for an "uprising until overthrow."

"Down with Khamenei, Raisi, curses on Khomeini," the graphic read.

Massoud Rajavi hasn’t been seen publicly in nearly two decades and is presumed to have died. Maryam Rajavi now runs the MEK. Khomeini, who led Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, died June 3, 1989.

The hack comes after another cyber assault in January that included a graphic calling for the death of the country’s supreme leader, which played on multiple state TV channels.

In October, an assault on Iran’s fuel distribution system paralyzed gas stations nationwide, leading to long lines of angry motorists unable to get subsidized fuel for days. A cyberattack on Iran’s railway system caused chaos and train delays. Another hack leaked footage of abuses at its notorious Evin prison.

Iran, long sanctioned by the West, faces difficulties in getting up-to-date hardware and software, often relying on Chinese-manufactured electronics or older systems. Pirated versions of Windows and other software are common across Iran. That makes it easier for potential hackers to target the country.

The MEK began as a Marxist group opposing the rule of Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi. It claimed and was suspected in a series of attacks against US officials in Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites....
in the 1970s, something the group now denies.

It supported the 1979 Islamic Revolution, but soon had a falling out with Khomeini and turned against the holy man. It carried out a series of liquidations and bombings targeting the young Islamic Theocratic Republic.

The MEK later fled to Iraq and backed dictator Saddam Hussein during his bloody eight-year war against Iran in the 1980s. That saw many oppose the group in Iran. Although largely based in Albania, to this day the group claims to operate a network inside Iran.

Thursday’s cyber attack comes less than a day after the FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
said it thwarted a planned cyberattack on a children’s hospital in Boston that would have been carried out by hackers sponsored by the Iranian government.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
IDF says troops fire at three Palestinians after firebomb thrown; teen said killed
[IsraelTimes] Army says suspects threw Molotov cocktail at troops; witness claims 17-year-old was shot without cause; is third Paleostinian killed by Israeli forces in 24 hours

Israeli troops shot and killed a 17-year-old Paleostinian near the security barrier in the central West Bank on Thursday afternoon, the Paleostinian Authority Health Ministry said.

In a statement, the Israeli army said "three Paleostinians hurled a Molotov cocktail at Israel Defense Force soldiers." The soldiers responded by shooting at them.

"A hit was identified. There were no injuries to our soldiers," the Israeli military said in a statement.

The Israeli army did not immediately respond to a request for comment as to whether Sadaqa had been the one to throw the Molotov cocktail.

Paleostinian media identified the dead teenager as Odeh Mohammad Sadaqa. Paleostinian health officials said Sadaqa had been shot in the chest before being rushed to Ramallah at death's door.

"Doctors sought to save his life, but he passed away," the PA Health Ministry said in a statement.

Last November, the Israeli military changed the open-fire regulations so as to allow troops to shoot at suspects who hurl Molotov cocktails or rocks, even after the deadly object is no longer in their hands.

Before the change in policy, soldiers had been ordered to refrain from using deadly force once the suspects no longer possessed the threatening object — in other words, when they no longer posed an imminent threat.

A Paleostinian witness disputed the army’s account, claiming that Israeli snipers fired at the group of Paleostinians out of nowhere.

"[Sadaqa] hadn’t reached the area of the wall, or the dangerous area... He was standing by our house when a sniper shot at his heart," the teenager told a cluster of Paleostinian news hounds.

Sadaqa is the third Paleostinian killed in confrontations with the Israeli military over the past 24 hours. Two Paleostinians were killed during West Bank festivities last night — one in Ya’abad, near Jenin, and the other in the Deheishe Refugee Camp near Bethlehem.

Clashes broke out in Ya’abad in the northern West Bank as troops demolished the home of terrorist Diaa Hamarsheh, who killed five people in Bnei Brak in March.

The military said in a statement that "hundreds of rioters threw stones, set fire to tires and threw Molotov cocktails and explosives at the forces."

A fourth Paleostinian, Ghafran Wasarneh, was killed by Israeli forces on Wednesday morning as she sought to commit a stabbing attack near the al-Aroub refugee camp in the West Bank, according to the army.

In addition to the operation in Ya’abad overnight, there were festivities between Paleostinians and Israeli troops in the Dheisheh refugee camp, near the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

Soldiers entered the refugee camp to arrest a man suspected of throwing an bomb at troops during an operation on Sunday, lightly injuring an undercover Border Police officer.

Clashes broke out during the arrest raid and one Paleostinian was killed. He was identified as Ayman Muhaisen, 29.

"During the operation, suspects hurled explosives and threw stones at the forces, who responded with gunfire. Hits were identified," the Israeli army said.

US Engaged In 'Offensive Cyber Ops' Against Russia In Ukraine: NSA Director
[ZERO] The US military has issued a stunning but perhaps not entirely unexpected admission that it has been conducting offensive cyber operations in support of Ukraine. It marks the first ever such acknowledgement, and suggests - as many observers have long suspected - a deeper Pentagon and US intelligence role in Ukraine against the Russian military than previously thought.

National Security Agency (NSA) and US Cyber Command Director Gen. Paul Nakasone told the UK's Sky News on Wednesday, "We’ve conducted a series of operations across the full spectrum: offensive, defensive, [and] information operations." This includes "offensive hacking operations" he said.

Without offering specific details, he continued, "My job is to provide a series of options to the secretary of Defense and the president, and so that’s what I do." Importantly, Gen. Nakasone gave the interview from allied Baltic country Estonia, from which other supporting operations including weapons transfers for Ukraine have come.

He spoke of major attempts of the Russians to launch infrastructurally devastating cyberattacks on Ukraine, saying, "And we've seen this with regards to the attack on their satellite systems, wiper attacks that have been ongoing, disruptive attacks against their government processes."

"This is kind of the piece that I think sometimes is missed by the public. It isn't like they haven't been very busy, they have been incredibly busy. And I think, you know, their resilience is perhaps the story that is most intriguing to all of us," he said, describing the Ukrainian response.

As for support the US has given Ukraine in the lead-up to the Russian invasion, the NSA director referenced the following:
Nakasone previously said his agency deployed a “hunt forward” team in December to help Ukraine shore up its cyber defenses and networks against active threats. But his latest remarks appear to be the first time that a U.S. official said publicly that the U.S. has been involved in offensive cyber operations in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

And like any powerful deep state insider of the intelligence community, he referenced alleged Kremlin attempts to influence US elections. "We had an opportunity to start talking about what particularly the Russians were trying to do in our midterm elections. We saw it again in 2020, as we talked about what the Russians and Iranians were going to do, but this was on a smaller scale."

"The ability for us to share that information, being able to ensure it's accurate and it's timely and it's actionable on a broader scale has been very, very powerful in this crisis," he added in the interview.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
2nd top IRGC officer dies within days; report claims he was killed as suspected spy
[IsraelTimes] Col. Ali Esmailzadeh apparently fell from his roof; opposition website claims he was thrown off, over suspicions he leaked information tied to liquidation of colleague

Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
reported the death of another colonel of the elite Quds Force of its Revolutionary Guards on Friday, the second in two weeks from the unit which oversees Iran’s military operations abroad.

Quoting an unknown official, the early morning report by the official IRNA news agency said Col. Ali Esmailzadeh died during an "incident in his residence" days ago in city of Karaj, some 35 kilometers (19 miles) northwest of the capital Tehran.

It did not elaborate but denied reports that the colonel was assassinated.
"He jumped. Involuntarily"
“...Twice.”
The Iran International opposition website, quoting unnamed sources, alleged that the Revolutionary Guards had killed Esmailzadeh for suspected espionage,

Other news channels close to the Guard said Esmailzadeh fell from his rooftop or balcony.

In May two unidentified button men on a cycle of violence shot Col. Hassan Sayyad Khodaei five times in a car in front of his residence in Tehran. Iran blamed his slaying on Israel. Iran often blames Israel for such assassinations, including those on nuclear scientists over the past years.

Iran International claimed that Esmailzadeh was killed over suspicions he provided information to Iran’s enemies that was used in Khodaei’s liquidation.

The report said he was close to Khodaei, who was shot full of holes in Tehran on May 22. Both he and Esmailzadeh were members of the IRGC’s so-called Unit 840, a shadowy division within the IRGC’s expeditionary Quds Force that carries out kidnappings and liquidations outside of Iran.

The report said that after Khodaei’s killing, the IRGC began hunting for security leaks and became suspicious of Esmailzadeh. He was then thrown from his roof, but the IRGC told his family he died by suicide because he was distraught over his separation from his wife, Iran International said, citing "sources in Iran."

The Persian-language outlet is identified with Iran’s political opposition. It was launched in 2017, is based in London and reaches millions of Iranians in Iran and around the world. It is reportedly funded by Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century...
, Iran’s regional foe.

Khodaei was shot five times in his car by two unidentified button men on motorbikes in the middle of Tehran. He reportedly was involved in killings and abductions outside of Iran, including attempts to target Israelis.

Australian Primary School Sees "Microchips in Student's Brains" in 10 Years
[Summit] An Australian primary school predicted "microchips in student’s brains" within 10 years before subsequently deleting the newsletter that contained the creepy prophecy.

The bizarre entry was featured in the May 26 edition of the Preston West Primary school’s newsletter, which listed a number of prosaic things the school envisages will be helpful to educating children in a decade.

They include "more mental health awareness," "more buildings and development," as well as "technological advances for teachers and students."

However, also included on this list is "microchips in student’s brains to promote intelligence and memory."

India-Pakistan
How involving SHOs of local police stations will stop targeted killing of minorities in J&K
[OneIndia] Officials tell OneIndia that Shah will direct the civil administration to take more steps to secure the minority community..

There has been a sustained effort by Pakistain's ISI to keep the Valley on the boil.

The number of assassinations especially of minorities has gone up in the past couple of days.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a high-level meeting today to discuss the situation in Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
and also take steps to restore normality. Officials tell OneIndia that Shah will direct the civil administration to take more steps to secure the minority community.

The police on the other hand would involve the Station House Officers (SHO) of the local cop shoppes.

This would mean that the SHO would play a bigger role in the security of the civilians in Jammu and Kashmir. This was a strategy that was used in the late 80s and 90s in Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

and it helped the administration wipe out the Khalistan movement from the state.

The involvement of the SHOs of the local cop shoppes in counter terror operations would be of great help in solving the problem. The SHOs have their ears closer to the ground and this would help a great deal in gathering intelligence, the official cited above said.

Involving the local police at the lowest levels has also helped in eradicating several top gunnies in the Valley. The huge success rate at which the gunnies have been shot full of holes is thanks to the cooperation from the J&K police and the actionable intelligence they provided.

Further the civil administration in J&K would also be more discreet so as to ensure that the innocent civilians are not identified. This would help to ensure that these individuals are not singled out and targeted.

The meetings will be headed by Union Home Minister, Amit Shah and will be attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, J&K Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha, the Intelligence chiefs and the chief secretary and Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir.

The prime focus of the meeting tomorrow would be on the assassinations and also on how to secure the minority community. There have been 8 assassinations since May, including one of a bank manager which took place today.

An official tells OneIndia that these assassinations orchestrated by the ISI backed Lashkar-e-Tayiba is clearly aimed at driving fear and ensure that the minorities are driven out of the Union Territory.

India-Pakistan
TTP confirms ceasefire, Fata merger still sticking point
The Arabic word for ceasefire is hudna, which is not at all the same honourable thing we have in the West. Let us wish Pakistan’s generals much joy as they make their way through the maze they themselves designed for their targets.
[Dawn] The outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban
...Arabic for students...
Pakistain (TTP) formally announced an "indefinite ceasefire" with the government late on Thursday night, following two days of intense talks with a grand tribal jirga in Kabul.

A statement issued by the TTP front man, Muhammad Khurasani, said that substantive progress had been made in talks with the grand jirga of "Pashtun nation, particularly tribal elders and Learned Elders of Islam".

The 57-member government-sponsored jirga left for the Afghan capital on Wednesday to continue negotiations with the TTP, mediated by the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan and supervised by Sirajuddin Haqqani
...son of Pashtun warlord Jalaluddin Haqqani, still titular head of the Haqqani Network....
, the acting Afghan interior minister.

A member of the jirga told Dawn there had been heated discussions between the two sides, and the sticking point was the TTP’s demand for the reversal of Fata’s merger with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

"Overall, talks have been goods which continued till late into the night. We are hopeful", the jirga member said from Kabul.

But sources said there was a deadlock over the merger issue and there was no breakthrough yet.

Earlier, it was reported that both sides had agreed to a request by acting Afghan Prime Minister Mullah Muhammad Hassan Akhund to announce indefinite ceasefire and continue the peace talks to end over two decades of bloody conflict.

Neither side had confirmed or endorsed the ceasefire, which officially ended on May 30.

Bank mgr shot dead in Kulgam

Terrorists rubbed out a bank employee from Rajasthan inside the bank premises in Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain.
's Kulgam district on Thursday, the eighth assassination in the Valley since May 1 and the third of a non-Moslem government employee.

Vijay Kumar, a manager with the Ellaqui Dehati Bank at Areh Mohanpora branch in the south Kashmir district, received grievous gunshot injuries and died on his way to hospital, officials said. The latest killing led to a chorus of condemnation from political parties across the spectrum, including the National Conference and the BJP.

Kumar, a resident of Hanumangarh in Rajasthan, had joined the Kulgam branch only a week ago. He had earlier been working in the Kokernag branch of the bank, co-owned by the Central government, the Jammu and Kashmir administration and the State Bank of India.

Security forces have cordoned off the area and a hunt has been launched to nab the attackers, the officials said.

Two worker casualties in Chadoora attqck

A labourer was killed and another injured after they were fired upon by bandidos holy warriors in the Chadoora area of central Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. ’s Budgam district on Thursday, police said.

"Terrorists fired upon 02 outside #labourers working in a Brick Kiln in Chadoora area of #Budgam. The duo was shifted to hospital for treatment where one among them #succumbed," said a police front man.

Reports said the duo was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. However,
there's more than one way to stuff a chicken...
one among the injured, identified as Dilkhush - a labourer from Bihar - succumbed.

Medical Superintendent SMHS hospital Dr. Kanwaljeet Singh confirmed to GNS that one among the non-locals succumbed. The slain was working as a labourer at a brick kiln, it said.

Soon after the attack whole area was cordoned off to nab the attackers.

The attack came hours after the killing of a bank employee from Rajasthan in south Kashmir's Kulgam district.

Biden closes in on a deal to resettle refugees in SPAIN to help deal with the surge of migrants at the southern border and Canada vows to take in Haitian migrants seeking work who have tried to cross from Mexico
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Definitely a creative response. It will be interesting when the primarily male, military age migrants from the “global south” — some of whom speak Spanish — come face to face with the primarily male, military age migrants from the Middle East and points far beyond.
  • President Biden is preparing to close a deal at the Summit of the Americas next week with Spain and Canada to accept migrants from the western hemisphere

  • The deal is meant to help the U.S. as it faces hundreds of thousands of migrants illegally entering over the southern border from Mexico

  • It is also aimed at assisting with labor shortages in Spain

  • Canada is planning to announce new 'recruitment and promotion' efforts to give jobs to Haitian migrants who tried to cross into the U.S.

  • The Summit of the Americas is being held in Los Angeles, California next week

  • Image from police bodycam footage shows Hale holding a weapon in her hand

  • Some witnesses claimed Hale had been trying to cooperate and was unarmed before she was gunned down and arrested

  • Vehicle, description and license plate of the car Hale was in matched that of one used in a Kansas City, Kansas, robbery

  • Hale rushed to hospital after suffering serious injuries and in stable condition

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
On the situation in Severodonetsk
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[ColonelCassad] 1. Most of the city is under the control of Russian troops.
A significant part of Severodonetsk was liberated from the Ukrainian invaders without much resistance. The enemy, having suffered losses on the outskirts of Severodonetsk, quickly began to retreat to the bridges to Lisichansk and to the industrial zone of the Azot plant.

2. A full-fledged supply of the remnants of the Severodonetsk garrison has long been difficult, and the Azot plant itself is not as convenient for defense as Azovstal. It is closer to the plant named after Ilyich, where the remnants of the 36th Marine Brigade capitulated. Nevertheless, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are showing in every possible way that they intend to hold on to the Azot plant for some time in order to slow down the preparation of the Russian Armed Forces for an attack on Lisichansk.

3. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was held hostage by its own propaganda, which for more than a month was broadcasting about the impregnable fortress of Severodonetsk, while after the start of the assault on the city, most of the “impregnable fortress” was handed over in a few days.

4. In order to somehow explain the discrepancy between the previous statements and reality, a propaganda smoke screen is being staged about the "cunning plan," "trap" and "counterattacks" in Severodonetsk. In fact, they are trying to pass off local street battles in city blocks near the industrial zone and artillery shelling of the city from Lisichansk as a "cunning strategy."

There can be no rapid counterattacks in the conditions of modern urban combat, but at least some activity must be shown so that the public is less likely to wonder why most of the city has been surrendered.

5. The Gauleiter of the occupied territories of the LPR announced the loss of more than 80 percent of the city, which was followed by shouts from the Zelensky gang that in fact things are much better. Again, reports from the field did not coincide with propaganda reality.

6. Regarding the prospects for fighting in Severodonetsk, it seems that now they will gradually put pressure on the Azot industrial zone, waiting for the troops to break through the enemy defenses in the Ustinovka and Privolye region, so that they can reach the outskirts of Lisichansk and cover it from three sides.

7. Of key importance for the battles for Lisichansk will be the ongoing battles in the area of the Artemovsk-Lysichansk highway, where the enemy has thrown part of the reserves accumulated in the Artemovsk area.

Also important will be the potential development of the offensive of the RF Armed Forces in the direction of Seversk. Now these operations require the solution of tactical tasks related to the crossing of the Seversky Donets (the same problem also occurs during the attack on Slavyansk)

https://t.me/boris_rozhin/51889 - zinc

And the good news came from Kamyshakha in the evening.

There is confirmation from the field. The village is under our control.

Only the northernmost outskirts of Kamyshevakhi, which are under heavy artillery fire from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and heavily destroyed, have not been cleared. The enemy retreated from Kamyshevakhi.

The enemy grouping in Zolote is now covered from three sides.

Ahead are the battles for Vrubovka.

Well, it can also be noted that the enemy rolled back to the southern bank of the Seversky Donets from Krasny Liman.

Svyatogorsk has not yet been taken - the battles are going on the outskirts.

#1  Ah, the New York Times shifts its story line to catch up to the shift that occurred at least a month ago in Europe. Today the British Ministry of Defence and their faithful scribes at the New York Times admit what their German, Austrian and French counterparts have been saying: "Russia is achieving tactical success in the Donbas region in Ukraine’s east and is likely to take full control of Luhansk Province in the next two weeks, according to the British Defense Ministry."

But why describe it as tactical instead of as strategic? President Biden announced this week that his strategic goal for the US and its client is not victory but merely "a better negotiating position." The opposite is happening. This is an enormous strategic loss for the US and its client.
Posted by: Jean-Paul || 06/03/2022 7:50 Comments || Top||

#2  Yes, it's official: the story line now in the Americans' official newspaper is that Ukraine is losing, theyre untrained troops are terrified and getting slaughtered, they're in "disarray," the war for them is "a living hell" and Donbas will fall "within two weeks."

First we saw Pres. Biden move the goalposts in his New York Times opinion piece from "victory" to salvaging whatever they can at the negotiating table. Today the New York Times' top correspondent on the war, Andrew E. Kramer, sends a long dispatch from Kramatorsk which prepares his readers for the upcoming capitulation of Ukraine.

The story line is almost the exact opposite of what the American and British press have been telling their readers for three months: the Ukrainians are retreating. They are demoralized and terrified and running out of ammunition. The Ukrainians lied to the untrained volunteers who were told they'd defend their hometowns and are instead sending them into the charnel house to be slaughtered in the Donbas -- creating "a stream of Ukrainian dead and wounded from the battlefields."

"KRAMATORSK, Ukraine — It all starts with a whistle, said Vladislav Goncharenko, a Ukrainian army sergeant, describing the relentless Russian shelling.

“You lie in a trench,” he said, waiting in an ambulance packed with other wounded soldiers. “There are very loud explosions. You want to get deeper into the ground. And you have shrapnel whistling above you, like flies.” Soldiers, he said, “just want it to stop.”

Ukraine is struggling. Ukraine’s army has suffered heavy losses, shown signs of disarray and, step by step, fallen back from some long-held areas in Donbas, the eastern region that is now the war’s epicenter.
Posted by: Jean-Paul || 06/03/2022 8:05 Comments || Top||

#3  More from Andrew Kramer -- he dares to hint, for the first time, at what has been known for weeks: at least a dozen Ukrainian units are mutinying, protesting the slaughter and demanding to be released from combat.

Kramer even dares to quote a Ukraine's top national security adviser who criticizes the absurd false narrative that his own president, along with the New York Times and the entire American and British press, has been pushing since April!

"To fill gaps in the frontline, Ukraine has resorted to deploying minimally trained volunteers of the Territorial Defense Force, which mobilized quickly as the war started. Hints of morale lapses have surfaced. One unit recorded a video protesting dire conditions. In interviews, soldiers said their artillery guns sometimes go quiet for lack of ammunition.

“ 'Those people who said that the war would end very soon, that we have already won, that we will celebrate in April, said a dangerous thing,' Ukraine’s national security adviser, Oleksiy Danilov, told Ukrainian media this week.

#8  Back on topic...

Andrew Kramer's New York Times dispatch today makes it very clear that the "victory" and "glory" narratives have died. Now the American public are being prepared to accept desperation and defeat.

Kramer ends his story this way:

Sergeant Mykola Pokotila, who was wounded in a battle north of the town of Sloviansk, Ukrainian soldiers in the East are beleaguered, said of enduring punishing Russian artillery barrages, “I’ve never seen such hell.”

#11  Kramer / NY Times are not pulling any punches. Interesting that he was allowed to report this -- someone in the Biden Administration clearly has ordered a Narrative Shift in order that the American public be spared reports of a shock collapse like the one last summer in Afghanistan:

"Meanwhile, the strain on military families is showing.

In Lviv, a city in the West that has avoided serious shelling, wives and mothers of men in the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade have protested, terrified about their husbands’ and sons’ deployment into combat in the East. To assuage concerns, a commander, Vitaliy Kupriy, met with about 200 women in a concert hall but the conversation devolved into screaming and crying, local media reported."

#13  On the front lines in the Donbas now are the hastily-assembled former teachers, laborers etc in Ukraine's "Territorial Defence Forces". These Ukrainian units are now experiencing casualty rates as high as 65%. This is because, as has been widely reported in the sympathetic US-UK press, they are "outmanned and outgunned" and have next to no training and are now rebelling and demanding to be sent home, to defend their families, as they were promised when they enlisted.

The cruel lies they've been told have provoked literally dozens of units to plead to be released from the front. Their wives' anguished pleas are now being reported, finally, in the New York Times and other western outlets.

Nonetheless, in the Donbas they number in the many thousands and enjoy the most advanced support, such as heavy weaponry, drones, artillery and real time actionable intelligence from NATO. In contrast to what the US and U.K. forces faced in late 2004 in Fallujah, the Russians are up against the firepower and all the tactical weaponry and advantages of not just a real army but of NATO itself.

The Russians' results are actually comparable to what our 13,000 troops achieved in Fallujah -- only much more rapidly and in the teeth of an enemy that possesses orders of magnitude more firepower and much more numerous and better supplied than the 3,000 or so ragtag Iraqi "insurgents".

Militant attack on bus kills 3, wounds 21 in eastern Syria
[AlAhram] Militants attacked a civilian bus in eastern Syria on Thursday, killing three people and wounding 21, Syrian state TV reported.

The TV said the bus was attacked near a village in a desert area of the province of Deir el-Zour, which borders Iraq. It did not say whether the bus was attacked with machinegun fire, a missile or a roadside kaboom.

The report gave no further details and there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack. Large parts of Deir el-Zour were once controlled by the krazed killer Islamic State

group, which in 2014 proclaimed a so-called ``caliphate`` in a third of both Iraq and Syria.

In the past, Syrian authorities have blamed such attacks on IS and its sleeper cells, which have been active in eastern and central Syria, despite IS holy warriors losing areas they once controlled in 2019.

Tunisia's Saied sacks 57 judges, tightens grip on courts
[AnNahar] Tunisian President Kais Saied on Thursday sacked 57 judges accused of corruption and other crimes, after passing a new law strengthening his grip on the judiciary.

Saied, who has steadily extended his powers since he sacked the government and suspended parliament last July, issued a decree late on Wednesday allowing himself to unilaterally sack judges for "actions ... that could compromise the judiciary's reputation, independence or functioning".

In the early hours of Thursday, the official gazette published a list of judges who had been dismissed, and who may face prosecution.

The gazette did not list the reasons for their sacking.

But Saied had at an earlier cabinet meeting accused unnamed judges of corruption, stalling "terrorism" cases, sexual harassment, collusion with political parties and obstruction of justice.

In February, he already scrapped an independent judicial watchdog and replaced it with a body under his own control, a move critics decried as his latest blow to democracy in the birthplace of the Arab Spring uprisings of 2011.

Saied had long accused the previous judicial watchdog, whose members were partly elected by parliament, of blocking politically sensitive investigations and being influenced by his nemesis, the Islamist-inspired Ennahdha party.

A former head of the dissolved body is among those who lost their jobs on Thursday, along with a former anti-terror court front man and a former customs chief.

Also on the list are judges involved in a long-running inquiry into the 2013 liquidations of two left-wing politicians, Chokri Belaid and Mohammed Brahmi.

- 'AFFRONT' -
Wednesday's ruling, applicable immediately, goes further than Saied's February decree, which had given him powers to dismiss "any judge failing to perform his professional duties" and had banned judges from going on strike.

Saied now has powers to sack judges "by decree and without any process", the International Commission of Jurists' regional director Said Benarbia warned on Thursday.

He called the move "an affront to the separation of powers and judicial independence".

"Through it, the collapse of the rule of law & the constitutional order is now complete," he tweeted.

Saied has insisted he has no intention of interfering with the judiciary, but rights groups have accused him of placing it under the direct control of the executive.

Saied's power grab on July 25 last year was welcomed by many Tunisians tired of a parliament seen as corrupt and self-serving but political parties and civil society groups have warned that the country is drifting back towards authoritarianism a decade after the fall of dictator Zine El Abidine Ben Ali.

Saied has laid out a roadmap to a referendum next month on a new constitution, which has yet to be published, and elections in December.

Tunisians are meanwhile struggling with high unemployment, inflation and food shortages, aggravated by the war in Ukraine.

Chinese forces step up exercises around Taiwan, South China Sea
China must do what she can while she still can. Her population has reached its predicted tipping point ahead of schedule.
[BenarNews] China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) has intensified activities around Taiwan and in the South China Sea in an apparent response to the U.S. commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific, as well as its support for Taipei.

The PLA’s Eastern Theatre Command recently conducted a multi-force patrol "in the waters and airspace around the Taiwan Island," said an army front man.

This is the third large-scale military exercise around Taiwan in the past 30 days.

Senior Colonel Shi Yi, spokesperson for the PLA Eastern Theater Command, said the joint combat-readiness security patrol involved "multiple services and arms," but did not specify the date.

"These actions are a necessary response to the collusion activities between the U.S. and the ’Taiwan independence’ forces," Shi said.

He added that the U.S. "has been making frequent moves on the Taiwan question recently," and warned that by emboldening and supporting Taiwan, Washington "will put Taiwan in a dangerous situation and bring serious consequences to itself."

Last weekend two U.S. aircraft carriers — the USS Abraham Lincoln and the USS Ronald Reagan — reportedly conducted dual-carrier exercises in waters to the southeast of Okinawa, according to the South China Sea Strategic Situation Probing Initiative (SCSPI), a Beijing-based think tank.

Chinese analysts say the area could be a main maritime battlefield if the U.S. militarily intervened in a possible conflict across the Taiwan Strait.

A U.S. delegation led by Senator Tammy Duckworth has just completed a three-day visit to Taipei to "talk about our support for Taiwan security."

The U.S will also make sure Taiwan "does not have to struggle alone," Duckworth told Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen, who said that a cooperation plan between the U.S. National Guard and Taiwan’s armed forces was in the works.

On the day of her arrival, 30 Chinese aircraft flew into Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ), making it the second-highest number of daily incursions since the beginning of the year.

The senator’s visit has infuriated Beijing. A Chinese Foreign Ministry front man said China "deplores and rejects this and has lodged solemn representations with the U.S. side."

SOUTH CHINA SEA DRILLS
On Wednesday morning the PLA conducted a military exercise in waters south of Hainan island in the South China Sea, according to a navigation warning issued by the Hainan Maritime Safety Administration.

A navigation warning is a public advisory notice to mariners about changes to navigational aids and current marine activities or hazards including fishing zones and military exercises.

The warning did not specify what kind of military exercise took place but the coordinates provided indicate the location was just south of Hainan, not far from the Gulf of Tonkin that China shares with Vietnam.

Meanwhile on Wednesday, Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) condemned the harassment by the Chinese Coast Guard of a joint Filipino-Taiwanese research vessel in the South China Sea in April, calling it "a breach of a United Nations
...the Oyster Bay money pit...
convention."

A day earlier, the Philippines summoned a senior Chinese diplomat to protest over the incident.

From late March to early April, the China Coast Guard (CCG) tailed the Legend, a Taiwanese research vessel with Filipino scientists, as it mapped undersea fault lines in the waters northwest of Luzon Island in the South China Sea.

Ohio set to allow teachers to carry guns with reduced training requirements
[FoxNews] A bill in Ohio that would allow teachers and other school staff to carry guns on school grounds with less training time passed the state legislature and is expected to be signed by Gov. Mike DeWine.

"I think it gets down to this: Do we want our kids to have a fighting chance in the event that the worst happens, right," said one of the bill's supporters, legislative affairs director for the Buckeye Firearms Association Rob Sexton, according to reporting from KAMR. "And for us, we’d just like a school to be able to have that option. Allows local school districts to make their own decisions,"

The bill will allow any adult that is licensed to carry a concealed firearm in both public and private schools with a reduced training requirement, doing away with the 737 hours of peace officer training that is currently required in favor of mandating only 24 hours of training. Individual schools and districts have the option to set their own policies, including requiring additional hours of training.

The bill, which passed by a 23-9 vote in the State Senate and a 56-34 vote in the State House, mandates at least 18 hours of general training, two hours of handgun training, two hours of "additional" general training, and two hours of "additional" handgun training.

#8  HS - High School

At one time in America (generally) there was an age/advancement hierarchy of the educational system.

A facility, the school, hosted one or more levels of achievement with correspondingly more complex training materiel and social engagement skill setting.

The hierarchy followed a progressive student age pattern of Elementary or Grade School(G1-6), Junior High School(G7-8) and High School(G9-12).

The High School school facility also may have offered advanced placement preparation classes for the exceptional college or university bound student and technical skills classes for the workforce bound.

Beyond, there were also Tech Schools, Prep Schools, Junior Colleges, etc. offering remedial and or specialized life skill training.

Now it's all fucked up.

Traffic reforms to promote racial equity are '100%' related to increases in violent crime, expert says
[FoxNews] Major cities and other areas across the country have implemented changes preventing police officers from pulling people over for minor offenses, sparking condemnation from police unions and experts warning such changes will promote cultures of lawlessness.

"Not only are these good opportunities for officers to interact with the public, these are also very important law enforcement and investigative tools. And what starts as what may be a minor offense, often leads to the discovery of much more serious crimes and the enforcement of laws dealing with much more serious crimes," Heritage Foundation legal fellow Zack Smith told Fox News Digital of such law changes to who police officers pull over.

Philadelphia was the first major city in the United States that banned police officers from pulling drivers over for minor traffic violations in March. Low-level traffic offenses are ones such as an expired vehicle registration for 60 days or less, a single brake or headlight that is broken, minor bumper damage, or using a car without an official certificate of inspection.

Just over 180 Æthiopian immigrants colonists landed at Ben Gurion Airport on Wednesday afternoon, some after waiting decades to arrive in Israel and reunite with family members.

The flight kicked off the resumption of immigration from the civil war-torn nation after more than a year following a series of delays. A second flight on Thursday from Addis Ababa is slated to bring a further 160 new immigrants colonists, with more flights expected throughout the summer and fall.

Visiting Israel, Iranian anti-regime activists see another 2009 moment, seek support
[IsraelTimes] With Iranians’ anger at the ayatollahs again erupting into protests, the international community has a chance to atone for its failure 13 years ago — and every interest in doing so.
The international community will take note, and having noted will move on. America’s Democratic presidency desperately wants to be friends with the Ayatollahs, which for some reason they see as the future.
In June of 2009, millions of Iranians joined protests nationwide in the wake of the "reelection" of Mahmoud Short Round Ahmadinejad as president, in a vote widely recognized as rigged.

The regime resorted to heavy violence to put down the demonstrations, attacking and arresting protesters and killing dozens of them — most resonantly Neda Agha-Solton, a philosophy student whose shooting by a gunman from the Basij paramilitary group was captured on film and broadcast worldwide.

US says last Turkish aid route into Syria must stay open
[AnNahar] The U.S. envoy to the UN said Thursday the sole border crossing to deliver aid into Syria must remain open, amid Russian threats to veto a resolution to protect it.

Syria-ally Russia could block the UN Security Council resolution, which expires on July 10, and observers say it is using it as a bargaining chip in the face of punishing sanctions over Moscow's invasion of Ukraine.

The Bab al-Hawa crossing near The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
's Cilvegozu border post in the south has been the only point of entry for UN aid into Syria for the past two years.

The US ambassador to the U.N. Linda Thomas-Greenfield said Thursday it was imperative the opening stay open.

"We have to extend this border crossing, we have to continue to provide this assistance," said Thomas-Greenfield from a UN logistics center in Reyhanli, near the Turkey-Syria border.

Nearly 10,000 trucks loaded with humanitarian aid passed through the crossing last year bound for the Idlib region, the last rebel bastion in Syria and home to around three million people live.

"We know that the situation is already dire there, that people are suffering now," Thomas-Greenfield said.

"It's going to increase the sufferings, it's going to increase the number of people who will displace and possibly even the number of people who may try to cross the border into Turkey."

She was in Reyhanli to meet with NGO and U.N. agencies' representatives who are working to provide assistance to Syrians.

Dmitry Polyanskiy, Russia's deputy ambassador to the U.N., said on May 20 that Moscow saw no reason to keep the crossing open, saying it violates Syria's illusory sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Biden admin to cancel $5.8B in school loans for former Corinthian College students
[FoxNews] The Biden administration says it will cancel federal student loans for some 560,000 borrowers who attended the for-profit Corinthian Colleges chain.

Under the new action, hundreds of thousands of students who attended the now-defunct chain will receive $5.8 billion in full loan discharges – the largest of its kind in the Department of Education's history.
Trying to buy votes for November.
"As of today, every student deceived, defrauded and driven into debt by Corinthian Colleges can rest assured that the Biden-Harris Administration has their back and will discharge their federal student loans," Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said in a statement. "For far too long, Corinthian engaged in the wholesale financial exploitation of students, misleading them into taking on more and more debt to pay for promises they would never keep."

Thousands of former Corinthian students were already eligible for debt cancellation, but they had to file paperwork and navigate an application process that advocates say is confusing and not widely known.

Those who have a remaining balance on their debt will also get refunds on payments they have already made, Education Department officials said. Students who have paid off their school loans will not be eligible.

At its peak, Corinthian was one of the nation's largest for-profit college companies, with more than 110,000 at 100 campuses across the country.

The company shut down in 2015 amid widespread findings of fraud. The Obama administration found that scores of campuses were falsifying data on the success of their graduates. In some cases, the schools reported that students had found jobs in their fields of study even though they were working at grocery stores or fast-food chains.

Ex-UN nuclear inspector claims Iran already has enough enriched uranium for weapon
[IsraelTimes] David Albright, who worked for the IAEA in the 1990s, says he believes breakout time is zero but it’s still unclear how long it would take for Tehran to build a nuclear weapon

David Albright, who worked as an inspector for the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in the 1990s, made the comments in an interview published Wednesday with London-based Iran
...The nation is noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence...
International, an Iranian opposition news outlet.

In a report published Monday, the IAEA estimated that Iran’s stockpile of enriched uranium had grown to more than 18 times the limit agreed on in the troubled 2015 JCPOA.

It "estimated that, as of May 15, 2022, Iran’s total enriched stockpile was 3,809.3 kilograms."

The limit in the JCPOA was set at 300 kilograms (660 pounds) of a specific compound, the equivalent of 202.8 kilograms of uranium. The report also said that Iran was continuing its enrichment of uranium to levels higher than the 3.67 percent limit in the deal.

The stockpile of uranium enriched up to 20% is now estimated to be 238.4 kilograms, up 56.3 kilograms since the last report in March, while the amount enriched to 60% stands at 43.1 kilograms, an increase of 9.9 kilograms.

Enrichment levels of around 90% are required for use in a nuclear weapon.

[REGNUM] A new historical section dedicated to the liberation of the cities of Soviet Ukraine from the Nazi invaders has opened on the website of the Russian Ministry of Defense: “Those who have stepped into immortality: the heroic Nikolaevsky landing”. This was reported on June 3 by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.

Among the materials of the multimedia section are registration cards of military graves and memorials of the city of Nikolaev; premium materials of Soviet soldiers buried in them; combat logs of units and formations of the Red Army, operational maps, as well as documentary evidence of the lives of residents who found themselves under Nazi occupation. Particular attention is paid to the actions of the heroic and legendary Nikolaev landing.

“During the liberation of Nikolaev, the Soviet command carried out a unique operation - a detachment of paratroopers of senior lieutenant Konstantin Olshansky landed behind enemy lines, which was able to cut the enemy’s communications and, holding back a tenfold superior enemy for several days, was able to divert fascist forces from the front.”

The landing force included 55 volunteers from the 384th Separate Marine Battalion, ten sappers, two signalmen and a guide from among local fishermen. The website of the Ministry of Defense published a detailed report on the actions of the paratroopers, who were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for their feat, "most of them posthumously . "

A significant part of the materials published for the first time testifies to the crimes of the Nazis, who, before their flight, tried to hide the traces of their own atrocities.

As REGNUM reported , the Russian Defense Ministry published a new series of archival materials about the crimes of Ukrainian Nazis during the Great Patriotic War.

Afghan Taliban launch campaign to eradicate poppy crop
[FoxNews] Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers have begun a campaign to eradicate poppy cultivation, aiming to wipe out the country’s massive production of opium and heroin, even as farmers fear their livelihoods will be ruined at a time of growing poverty.
more likely: they will destroy all untaxed and unapproved crops.
On a recent day in Washir district in southern Helmand province, armed Taliban fighters stood guard as a tractor tore up a field of poppies. The field’s owner stood nearby, watching.

The Taliban, who took power in Afghanistan more than nine months ago, issued an edict in early April banning poppy cultivation throughout the country.

Those violating the ban "will be arrested and tried according to Sharia laws in relevant courts," the Taliban deputy interior minister for counter narcotics, Mullah Abdul Haq Akhund, told The Associated Press in Helmand’s provincial capital, Lashkar Gah.

Philippine military kills suspected IS militant tied to bus bombing in south
[BenarNews] Government troops killed an alleged pro-Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
Death Eater and captured another after a shootout in the southern Philippines, while hunting for suspects linked to a bus bombing last week, military officials said Thursday.

The military identified the suspects as Monir Lintukan and Randy Saro, and said they were members of Daulah Islamiyah, the local name for the Islamic State (IS) group. Lintukan was killed and Saro captured following the 30-minute shootout near M’lang, a town in Cotabato province.

"Due to our intensified intelligence gathering, we immediately tracked down the suspects, resulting in a firefight that killed one of them," army Col. Jovencio Gonzales told BenarNews.

Officials blamed the pair for having roles in the bombing of a bus that injured two people in Koronadal city, in South Cotabato province, on May 26 as well as a second kaboom that occurred at a vacant lot near a bus station in another town minutes later. No one was injured in the second explosion.

Gonzales said troops also recovered weapons and ammunition left behind by other Death Eaters.

The troops were conducting "focused military operations" when they encountered the Death Eaters, he said. The two suspects belonged to a Daulah Islmiyah, a faction within the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters
...a MILF splinter group aligned with the Islamic State...
(BIFF) Death Eater group that professes loyalty to IS.

Many BIFF members are wanted for a string of crimes, including kidnapping for ransom and extortion, according to the military.

Military officials had previously blamed murderous Moslems linked to BIFF for two roadside kaboomings that killed three and injured dozens of people in January 2021.

And this past January, a 5-year-old boy was killed and six others, including his two younger siblings, were maimed in a bus kaboom in Aleosan town. Since then, at least six people were maimed in April when a homemade bomb went kaboom! aboard a passenger bus in Parang town.

"Your army along with other government forces will continue to pursue those suspects responsible for the bombings here in our area," said Brig. Gen. Eduardo Gubat, acting commander of the 6th Infantry Division and the military’s Joint Task Force Central.

The JTF Central and the infantry division "will sustain the military operations until the remnants of the terrorist group operating in South and Southcentral Mindanao will be neutralized and the area will be free from any terror group," he said.

The Grand Turk
Turkish newspaper names former military targets of Chechen killers in Istanbul
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] One of the possible targets of a group of Chechen-born Khamzat Dokuev, who was detained in Turkey in March 2021, was former Russian Defense Ministry officials arrested in absentia in the case of illegal timber sales, the Turkish Sabah reported. The Kremlin knows nothing about this, said a Russian presidential spokesman.
Apparently it was some sort of blood feud between various Chechen parties in and out of government that expanded across the Turkish border. Nothing to do with jihadis at all. Really it’s President Erdogan’s fault for indiscriminately importing ethnic Turks from various Stans without checking their connections. See the Related article link below.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in Turkey, eight people are accused of plotting to assassinate Chechen political emigrants. Six of them were detained and arrested in October 2021. Two more - Khamzat Dokuev and Badrudin Kimaev - were arrested in March of the same year on suspicion of transferring "state confidential information for the purpose of political or military espionage."

According to the DHA agency, the accused Bislan Rasaev received instructions  from Adam Delimkhanov, an adviser to the head of Chechnya, with whom he was in touch, and from Kazbek Dukuzov, who is wanted by Interpol for the murder of journalist Paul Khlebnikov.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Geagea refuses any PM backed by Hizbullah
[AnNahar] Lebanese forces leader Samir Geagea
...Geagea was imprisoned by the Syrians and their puppets for 11 years in a dungeon in the third basement level of the Lebanese Ministry of Defense. He was released after the Cedar Revolution in 2005...
has said that his party will refuse any Prime minister and any President who are allied with Hizbullah
...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory...
He added, in a press interview, that the divisions in Parliament will lead to a big confrontation between Hizbullah and its allies and the LF.

Geagea said that a cooperation with the Oct. 17 MPs is needed. "We all need each other in order to make a change," he affirmed.

LF sources have meanwhile told Kuwaiti newspaper al-Anbaa that people have voted for real change not for "theatrical movements" in the streets, slamming the reformist MPs for not focusing on "the essence of change but rather on the forms."

Observers have warned of protracted deadlocks during consultations to name a new prime minister and in the run-up to an election later this year to replace President Michel Aoun
...president of Leb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hizbullah...

Turkish intelligence kills PKK commander in Sulaimani province: State media
[Rudaw] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
’s National Intelligence Agency (MIT) was behind last month’s drone attack in Sulaimani province’s northwestern subdistrict of Aghjalar, Ottoman Turkish state media reported on Thursday, claiming that a Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) commander was killed in the attack.

Two drones targeted a Toyota Hilux vehicle in Aghjalar on May 21, killing five passengers, including at least two members of the PKK, mayor Hemin Bahjat told Rudaw at the time. The attack was condemned by Sulaimani province’s ruling Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK).

Turkey’s state-owned Anadolu Agency said on Thursday that the attack was carried out by MIT, claiming that Mehmet Dogan, code-named Dilkhwaz Gabar, commander of PKK forces in Kirkuk and Makhmour, was killed. However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
the PKK has not confirmed his death.

On the same day of the Aghjalar attack, a Ottoman Turkish drone targeted a vehicle in the PKK-held Makhmour camp and killed Mehmet Erdogan, commander of PKK, reported Anadolu Agency two days later.

Aghjalar is part of Chamchamal district and borders Kirkuk province.

Gabar told PKK media on May 23, 2020 that the Ottoman Turkish government was not working towards making peace with the Kurdish group, but rather sought war "to stay in power."

Turkey often targets PKK positions at home and in the Kurdistan Region. It launched a new phase of its Claw operations against the PKK in Duhok province in mid-April.

The PKK is an armed Kurdish group fighting for the increased rights of Kurds in Turkey. Ankara considers it a terrorist organization and a threat to its national security.

Why crime heats up during the summer
When it’s hot, people get cranky.
[FoxNews] Crime happens year-round, but experts say there is no other season that correlates to the steady increase in crime more than the hot summer months.

A 2014 U.S. Department of Justice report found significant seasonal pattern trends over nearly two decades that experts say lead to more people becoming violent crime victims during June, July and August.

The DOJ found sexual assaults, intimate partner violence and other violent crimes typically happened at higher frequencies than during other seasons.

#2  Johnson and the great society gave us food stamps and air conditioning. That had the greatest impact on riots in the cities. Then the poor were forced out by opportunists to purchase cheap housing in the cities. Purchase a row house for $20,000 in Alexandria and turn around a few years later sell it for 200-600 thousand. Now with city decay. Homeless get these houses as squatters for free. Wealthy leave being forced out by street violence. Family left after 8 shots into their home overnight with two bullets in the bed they were sleeping in. Benning heights area near PG line in DC. Both had good jobs in Maryland but they moved on out. Black youth told me they were afraid to go home in PG county by being shot. Being poor in these cities means if someone has something you are supposed to share it(skin color or race is meaningless). Same idea liberals have attacking wealthy(those they think are wealthy).

India-Pakistan
Khalistan uprising not gaining desired traction, but we need to be cautious
[OneIndia] Another reason why the Khalistan forces may not be able to thrive as they would have wished to have is because Pakistain is not in any condition to offer them open support.

The violence in Punjab
1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots....

have brought back traumatic memories of the 80s about the Khalistan movement. The number of killings, acts of terror and violence in Punjab appear to be on the rise and the current dispensation in the state appears to have no solution for the same.

While officials tell OneIndia that the movement has not been able to thrive as the ISI would have hoped for, there are however very disturbing signs that we have witnessed. Killings, hoisting of Khalistan flags, social media posts by fanatics such as the Sikhs for Justice have been on the rise of late.

Groups such as the Sikhs for Justice (SJF) have managed to gain a lot of traction. For instance on November 21 the SJF during his annual referendum asked Sikhs to vote for creating a separate nation.

Recently Khalistan flags were tied on the main gate of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly.

Former Research and Analysis Wing (RAW
... India's Research and Analysis Wing, Pakistain's equivalent of the Boogie Man...
) officer, Amar Bhushan tells OneIndia that the current political, diplomatic and security scenario in India do not favour a repeat of what the scenario was in the 80s. The BJP practises zero tolerance for secessionist movements.

However India cannot take lightly these incidents and the government will have to maintain a constant vigil on all secessionist groups and then act promptly, Bhushan further adds.

Another reason why the Khalistan forces may not be able to thrive as they would have wished to have is because Pakistain is not in any condition to offer them open support. The Pakistain Army is busy in Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
while the economy is in doldrums. Further the country witnessed plenty of political instability recently and this is another reason why the dispensation in Islamabad is busy elsewhere.

An official however adds that what the security apparatus in India needs to watch out for is the use of local gangsters to spread violence in the state of Punjab. The probe conducted into the Rocket Propelled Grenade Attack on the Punjab Police's Intelligence Headquarters learnt that it was the handiwork of local gangsters who were assigned by the Khalistan elements.

Take the case of the Ludhiana Court blast. It was found during the probe that the local gangsters involved in smuggling were behind the attack. They would smuggle drugs and IEDs at the behest of the ISI and then strike in Punjab, the probe found.

This modus operandi has been going on for long and the Khalistan groups have been outsourcing terror strikes to gangsters in a bid to avoid the heat. The fact that they use a gangster to carry out the attack gives the agencies the impression that the same is done by a small-time Mister Big group and not the ISI backed Khalistan forces.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
America's default blackmail: what conclusions should Russia draw
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
By Pavel Kukhmirov

[Sevastopol] Bloomberg reports that US politicians are divided into two camps on the issue of further anti-Russian sanctions.

“There is no unity in the Biden administration about how much more sanctions against the Russian Federation can be increased without provoking economic instability and without violating transatlantic unity,” the agency’s sources say.

According to Interfax , one group, which includes many State Department and White House officials, advocates even stronger secondary sanctions; another group of officials are concerned about further strain on a global economy already plagued by disrupted supply chains and inflation, volatile oil prices and a potential food crisis.

Such messages will come more and more often in the future, which is not surprising: sanctions aggression is primarily destructive for the aggressors themselves. But there is no need to flatter yourself: the “dear partners” still have a lot of tools to blackmail our country. Not to a small extent due to the fact that the Russian Federation itself provided them in the previous period. One of these is the American blackmailing of Russia by "technically defaulting."

The US Treasury recently issued an official announcement that a US government agency will not renew a special license for Russia, making it unable to repay its external debt obligations on approximately $19 billion of non-resident bond issues. Roughly speaking, the Russian Federation is deprived of the opportunity to operate a number of American financial instruments.

And this decision of the US Treasury means, in fact, the so-called "technical default" of Russia. In other words, depriving her of the opportunity to pay her debts despite the fact that she has money. This will entail the refusal to provide dollar loans to the Russian Federation by a number of countries from the US zone of influence, as well as the inevitable fall in virtual credit ratings compiled by US-biased agencies, and the creation of a formal pretext for the confiscation of up to $ 350 billion worth of Russian gold reserves actually stolen.

Well, this will also create a formal reason for blocking other financial ties. Again, in fact, the above measures are already acting against Russia, and formally provoking a technical default by America will not give anything new. The set of economic punitive measures against Russia has already been exhausted. And this is not a great price to pay for the exercise of the sovereign right to an independent foreign policy that is in line with the state's interests.

Question: was it necessary to use these financial instruments at all? Indeed, according to US laws, its residents must pay 5-15 percent tax on income from foreign securities. And now the Russian Federation, redeeming foreign currency bonds and paying coupon income on them, replenishes the US budget, indirectly financing the purchase of weapons and economic assistance to the Kyiv regime. This was known even before the special operation and, moreover, it is known now.

And, to put it mildly, the arguments of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation about the need to fulfill payment obligations by any means, even without linking to the unblocking and return of gold reserves, look strange. But they turned out to be stolen, including through the fault of the leadership of the Ministry of Finance. But, at least, they need to clarify the reasons why the Ministry of Finance has been increasing external borrowings all these years under the pretext of “financing the budget deficit”, while foreign exchange earnings have increased, and the federal budget has been in surplus. And at the same time, 12-14 trillion rubles were mortified in the FNB without movement.

This is what gave rise to America's current opportunity to blackmail Russia with a "technical default." Serious damage against the background of what the United States has already done to Russia will not be caused by this. But their “default blackmail” is, first of all, an excuse to sort out what has been going on in the financial sector of the Russian Federation all these years. Yes, and it continues to happen now. So what are we going to do: whine or understand?

#1  It's called a "technical" default because in reality, in the eyes of market participants, Russia is nowhere near default status. Russia has the ability and willingness to pay its debts--it's only the stupidity and criminality of idiots like Janet Yellen that allows such an obviously illegal and foolish stunt to go forward.

#2  Bloomberg describes how unbelievably stupid Yellen and Biden's sanctions are:

Even with some countries halting or phasing out energy purchases, Russia's oil-and-gas revenue will be about $285 billion this year, according to estimates from Bloomberg Economics based on Economy Ministry projections. That would exceed the 2021 figure by more than one-fifth. Throw in other commodities, and it more than makes up for the $300 billion in foreign reserves frozen as part of the sanctions.

The US has already banned Russian oil, but Europe is only slowly weaning itself off this dependency. That’s giving Moscow time to find other markets — such as commodity guzzling behemoths China and India — to limit any damage to export revenue, and its financial war chest.

That means the money is gushing into Russia’s accounts, and the financial figures are a constant reminder to the West that dramatic change is needed. Oil-export revenue alone is up 50% from a year earlier, according to the International Energy Agency. Russia’s top oil producers made their highest combined profit in almost a decade in the first quarter, Moscow-based SberCIB Investment Research estimates. And wheat exports continue — at higher prices — as sanctions on Russian agriculture aren't even being discussed because the world needs its grain. . .here

#3  Those aren't reasons sanctions against Russia are bad.

#5  "Hey, you know, Fat, The Thing..."

Seriously, that Biden cares more about hurting the US than Russia is _by design_. His decisions more or less gifted Russia with 300 billion or so dollars before the war even started. And the evidence everyone ignores is that Burisma, which paid his son millions, was a cutout for Putin.

And the trolling is meant to distract away from all of this.

#9  Russia is winning the economic war - and Putin is no closer to withdrawing troops
Larry Elliott
The Guardian
2 June 2022

The perverse effects of sanctions means rising fuel and food costs for the rest of the world – and fears are growing of a humanitarian catastrophe. Sooner or later, a deal must be made.

It is now three months since the west launched its economic war against Russia, and it is not going according to plan. On the contrary, things are going very badly indeed.

There is no immediate sign of Russia pulling out of Ukraine and that’s hardly surprising, because the sanctions have had the perverse effect of driving up the cost of Russia’s oil and gas exports, massively boosting its trade balance and financing its war effort. In the first four months of 2022, Putin could boast a current account surplus of $96bn (£76bn) – more than treble the figure for the same period of 2021.

When the EU announced its partial ban on Russian oil exports earlier this week, the cost of crude oil on the global markets rose, providing the Kremlin with another financial windfall. Russia is finding no difficulty finding alternative markets for its energy, with exports of oil and gas to China in April up more than 50% year on year.

Ukrainian forces repulsed 5 enemy attacks today
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Alexander Kravchenko

[LB] Today, June 2, the occupiers fired on about 30 settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

This was reported by the press service of the Allied Forces.

"Along the entire line of defense, the enemy uses combat aircraft, multiple rocket launchers, large-caliber artillery, tanks, mortars of various systems, launches missile and bomb strikes on civilian infrastructure, peaceful housing estates," the statement said.

Today, the Russian occupiers in Donetsk and Luhansk regions destroyed and damaged 52 civilian objects - 42 houses, two factories, administrative premises and vehicles of several state fire and rescue units, a hangar.

As a result of these shellings, 5 civilians were killed and 7 others were injured.

Over the past 24 hours, the Allied Forces destroyed:

5 tanks;
3 artillery systems;
2 combat armored vehicles.

In addition, air defense units shot down 3 enemy Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles in the skies of the Ukrainian Donbass.

We will remind, the Ukrainian defenders in the area of responsibility of operational and tactical group "Vostok" (East) destroyed thanks to artillery a command and observation post of the Russian invaders.

More, tactical summaries of the fighting:
In Severodonetsk - fierce street fights, Russians try to capture
Information via Ukrainian MoD general staff
by Irina Lysogor

[LB] In the Kryvyi Rih direction, the Russians blew up bridges in the Davydov Brid and Velyka Oleksandrivka districts.

Russia's main goal now remains the same - to establish full control over Donetsk and Luhansk regions. In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy focused on maintaining the occupied borders, restraining the advance of our troops towards the state border.

The Russians are firing from artillery and multiple rocket launchers to reduce our offensive potential. The shelling is concentrated mainly in the areas of Tsyrkuniv, Pitomnyk, Prudyanka, Peremohy, Rusky and Cherkasy Tyshko and Staryi Saltiv, said Oleksiy Gromov, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russians once again stormed the town of Ternov, but without success.

In the Slavic direction, the enemy focused on shelling our troops and creating conditions for the offensive.

In the Donetsk region, the occupiers fired along the entire line of contact . They seek to inflict losses on defenders, deplete them and destroy fortifications. The main efforts are focused on the Lyman, Severodonetsk and Bakhmut (Artemovsk) areas.

In the Lyman direction, the Russians fired in the areas of Svyatogorsk, Shchurovo, Staryi Karavan, and Raigorodok. There was an assault in two directions: from Oleksandrivka and in the direction of Novoselivka - Yarova.

"They are preparing for the offensive in the direction of Svyatogorsk," Gromov said.

In the Severodonetsk direction, the Russians use all possible weapons and air strikes. The main fighting is taking place near Lysychansk and Severodonetsk.

"Fierce street fighting continues in Severodonetsk. The enemy is storming Oskolonivka-Borivske," Gromov said.

In the Bakhmut direction, the occupiers are using the full range of weapons to displace our positions and create conditions for the offensive. Missile strikes are carried out near Komyshuvakha, Zoloty, Belogorivka, Volodymyrivka, Pokrovsky and Soledar.

The Russians are trying to completely capture Komyshuvakha. The fighting continues. Also they storm again in areas of Nikolaevka and Vrubovka. To take control of the section of the road Soledar - Lysychansk, the Russians are storming in the directions of Vasylivka - Berestove, Nagirne - Belogorovka. The fighting continues.

In the Avdievka, Novopavlivska and Zaporizhzhya areas , the enemy is not conducting active hostilities, but mortar and artillery fire on the positions of our troops does not stop.

There were no active hostilities from occupiers and in the Nikolaev direction. They are taking steps to maintain control of the occupied territories and are shelling our troops.

In the Kryvyi Rih direction, in order to prevent the advance of defenders, the Russians blew up bridges in the Davydov Brid and Velyka Oleksandrivka districts. We moved to the defense on the unprepared border Davydiv Brid - Davydiv - Andriyivka. Electronic means of electronic warfare are used.

In the Volyn and Polissya operational districts, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were found. The main efforts of the Belarusian troops focused on reconnaissance and training. Mining of forest roads, bypass roads, bridges in the border areas of Brest region with Ukraine is also carried out - it is from the state border of Ukraine with Poland in the direction of Novohrad-Volynskyi.

The threat of missiles and air strikes from Belarus remains.

The enemy did not have active hostilities in the Seversky district. There are no signs of the creation of strike groups. He keeps his units in the border areas of Bryansk and Kursk regions to bind our troops. Border areas of Chernihiv and Sumy regions are shelled from the territory of Russia. In the future, it is possible that the shelling of military and civilian facilities will intensify in order to prohibit the establishment of control over the state border by the Ukrainian defense forces and the retention of part of our troops.

In the Bessarabian area signs of formation of offensive groups are not revealed. The probability of attack here is considered low.

The Black Sea Operational Zone holds two missile carriers with a total volley of up to 16 Caliber missiles.

As of May 26, 59 missile strikes and 36 air strikes had been carried out by the enemy's armed forces since the morning of May 26. The main targets were railway transport infrastructure. "Of these, 1,211 aircraft from Belarus and 61 launches of Iskander cruise missiles," Gromov said.

We will remind, in the Luhansk direction as of morning the Russian invaders tried to break through defense of ZSU at once from several directions: from Zoloty, Popasna, Komyshuvakha, Belogorivka.

Russian military Blogger Andrey Chervonets reports on a Russian missile strike on a railway tunnel in western Ukraine.
Sighting station along the Beskydy Tunnel

Russia launched a missile attack on the traction substations of the railway near the Beskydy railway tunnel, which runs through the Carpathians in the Lviv region. Train traffic has been stopped.

The blow can be considered zeroing, since methodical work is needed to disable this communication, similar to a series of strikes on the bridge in Zatoka or the use of BPM (high-powered ammunition).

The Beskydy Tunnel is the largest tunnel in the Carpathian Mountains, its length is 2 kilometers. It is of strategic importance for Ukraine, since up to 60 percent of cargo transit to Western and Central Europe passes through it. The capacity of the tunnel is 100 pairs of trains per day.

Pushed by military, Al-Shabaab now targets farmers in Somalia
[Garowe] In what seems to be a change of strategy, al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
bandidos holy warriors are now targeting peasant farmers in Somalia, forcing hundreds of them to IDP camps, where they are entirely dependent on humanitarian aid.

While visiting Baidoa, the regional administrative capital of Southwest, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud said the strategy has left thousands of people homeless, further stressing the country on matters of food distribution.

Farmers who are not giving taxes to the bad boys, the president said, are forced to abandon their fields, seeking refuge in various IDP camps in the country. The Lower Jubba and Lower Shabelle regions are the worst affected.
So the peasants have been driven off the land to suffer, but in the meantime nobody is paying taxes to Al Shabaab, and the land lies fallow. How is this a win for the jihadis?
Accompanying the president was Southwest leader Abdiaziz Lafta-Gareen, who was closely working with the former administration of Mohammed Abdullahi Farmajo, who was accused of mismanaging the country including the al-Shabaab crisis.

Hassan Sheikh was filmed entering an IDP camp, where he held children affected by the crisis. Women and children are the most affected in the conflict, authorities said during the maiden visit.

"People with dignity, honor, free and proud of their environment, have been forced to rely on humanitarian aid for fear of endangering themselves and their children," he said during his tour inside the camps in Baidoa, the interim capital of Southwest regional state.

For Somalia to enjoy peace and stability, Hassan Sheikh noted, the country must rise and jointly fight the bad boys. The bandidos holy warriors control large swathes of rural central and southern Somalia, but efforts to degrade them seem to be on the top gear.

Humanitarian teams from the United Nations
...a formerly good idea gone bad...
were also part of the presidential visit, in what seemed to be a move to evaluate the effects of the drought, which has also significantly affected farmers in the Horn of Africa nation.

Abdelmoula spoke at the 'ADC' camp for internally displaced people in the Baidoa district of Somalia's South West State. He was accompanying Somalia's Special Envoy for Drought Response, Abdirahman Abdishakur, who was appointed by the Somali president in late May, on his visit to an IDP camp.

"The situation is extremely dire and grim: 7.1 million people will be affected by this drought situation before the end of this year," said the Humanitarian Coordinator for Somalia, Adam Abdelmoula.

"Unfortunately, about 1.4 million children are facing acute malnutrition this year, and 330,000 are likely to become severely malnourished," he added.

Al-Shabaab bandidos holy warriors wage small to large-scale sporadic attacks, mainly targeting security forces, innocent civilians, and top government officials. Farmers are major targets in paying taxes to the bad boys, which help the group sustain its operations.

The US has approved the deployment of close to 500 soldiers who will help the country completely defeat al-Shabaab bad boys. The soldiers are expected to report to the country in the coming weeks according to Pentagon officials.

Elsewhere, President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud rebuffed claims that Villa Somalia is plotting to kick out Southwest President Abdiaziz Lafta-Gareen. This comes after reports that politicians barred from the race for Lower House seats by Lafta Garen were organizing motions against him.

Lafta-Gareen is a close ally of former President Mohammed Abdullahi Farmajo, who was defeated by Hassan Sheikh Mohamud a fortnight ago. Farmajo is blamed for the current tribulations the country is going through.

Le Figaro: anti-Russian sanctions have launched a game of musical chairs
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[RIA Novosti] The EU embargo on Russian oil supplies will have serious consequences for both sides and will greatly change the global market, Jean-Pierre Favennec, an energy expert , said in an interview with Le Figaro.

The specialist emphasized that the ban on the supply of fuel from Russia to Europe by sea will not improve the current state of affairs, when resource prices are breaking records.

"I'm inclined to believe that with the embargo, Russia will sell less oil to Europe, but it could try to sell it to China and especially to India," he said.

Favennec noted that India has already significantly increased the volume of oil purchases from Russia, as a result, the latter is in second place among suppliers in the local market.

"You can count on a game of“ musical chairs" (a game in which one participant drops out in each round. - Approx. Ed.): Russia will send its oil to China, India and other recipient countries <…>, but they will no longer take oil in the Middle East , and the EU will be able to have significant volumes of oil from this region," the power engineer explained.

At the same time, such a reorganization has a significant disadvantage: the delivery of fuel to Europe from the Middle East is more expensive than from Russia.

Russia will not sell oil at a price below the market, said the Kremlin
Western countries faced severe economic problems - rising energy prices and a surge in inflation - due to the imposition of sanctions against Russia after the start of a special operation to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine . The measures mainly affected the financial sector and the supply of high-tech products, but calls in Europe to reduce dependence on Russian energy resources have become louder.

On Tuesday night, EU leaders reached a political agreement on the sixth package of anti-Russian sanctions, which includes, among other things, the gradual imposition of an embargo on oil imports from Russia. The ban will affect only deliveries by sea, and the oil coming through the Druzhba pipeline is not limited. But, according to the head of the European Commission , Ursula von der Leyen , by the end of the year, the EU expects to abandon almost 90 percent of Russian oil imports.

#1  How the World Is Paying for Putin's War in Ukraine
Bloomberg News
Tue, May 31, 2022

Russia is being propelled by a flood of cash that could average $800 million a day this year — and that's just what the commodity superpower is raking in from oil and gas.

For years, Russia has acted as a vast commodity supermarket selling what an insatiable world has needed: Not just energy, but wheat, nickel, aluminum and palladium too. Putin's coffers are overflowing with the revenue from commodities, which have become more lucrative than ever thanks to the surge in global prices driven in part by the war in Ukraine.

#3  The joke of the EU's oil sanctions policy has created the absurd situation whereby the countries buying up the Russian crude oil -- such as Hungary in the EU and India outside the EU -- are now refining that Russian oil and re-exporting it to the EU countries that supposedly banned it.

Russia is reaping extraordinary, unprecedented oil revenues; Hungary and India and many other middlemen are getting all the oil they need and pocketing very generous profit margins as middlemen; and the EU nations are receiving Russian oil in disguise.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
2 Palestinians killed in West Bank clashes; IDF razes Bnei Brak terrorist’s home
[IsraelTimes] 1 dead, 2 critically hurt near Jenin as forces demolish residence of Diaa Hamarsheh, who killed 5 in attack; second Paleostinian killed in festivities in Dheisheh refugee camp

Two Paleostinians were killed in separate festivities with Israeli forces operating in the West Bank in the early hours of Thursday.

Clashes broke out in Ya’abad in the northern West Bank as troops demolished the home of terrorist Diaa Hamarsheh, who killed five people in Bnei Brak in March.

Three Paleostinians were critically injured in firefights with the military. One of the three was later pronounced dead and was identified as Bilal Kabha, 24.

The military said in a statement that "hundreds of rioters threw stones, set fire to tires and threw Molotov cocktails and explosives at the forces."

The IDF said troops responded with crowd dispersal methods and that when button men fired at troops, officers responded with gunfire. The military said "a hit was detected" by Israeli forces.

Hamas, the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®, later claimed Kabha as a member.

There were no injuries to Israeli troops.

The military said that Hamarsheh’s father was arrested during the operation and was taken for questioning by security services.

In addition to the operation in Ya’abad, there were festivities between Paleostinians and IDF troops in the Dheisheh refugee camp, near the West Bank city of Bethlehem.

The soldiers entered the refugee camp to arrest a man suspected of throwing an bomb at troops during an operation on Sunday, lightly injuring an undercover Border Police officer.

Clashes broke out during the arrest raid and one Paleostinian was killed. He was identified as Ayman Muhaisen, 29.

"During the operation, suspects hurled explosives and threw stones at the forces, who responded with gunfire. Hits were identified," the IDF said.

Elsewhere in the West Bank, troops detained seven Paleostinians over suspected involvement in terror activities, totaling nine arrests overnight. In Azzun, during the arrest of a suspect, troops opened fire toward a Paleostinian who hurled a Molotov cocktail toward them, the IDF said.

Israeli troops and military bulldozers entered Ya’bad on Wednesday evening to raze terrorist Hamarsheh’s home.

Hamarsheh, 27, killed four civilians in the central ultra-Orthodox city of Bnei Brak on March 29 — Avishai Yehezkel, 29, who was protecting his baby from gunfire; Ya’akov Shalom, 36; and Ukrainian nationals Victor Sorokopot, 38, and Dimitri Mitrik, 23.

Hamarsheh was then killed in a shootout with coppers, one of whom — Amir Khoury, 32 — was his fifth victim.

The military initiated the process of razing Hamarsheh’s home the day after the attack and issued the demolition order last month.

The shooting came at the start of a wave of terror attacks in Israeli cities that claimed the lives of 19 people. The military has stepped up its West Bank activities in an attempt to crack down on the spiraling violence.

The ensuing raids sparked festivities that left at least 30 Paleostinians dead since mid-March.

Many were button men involved in firefights with Israeli soldiers or who took part in violent mostly peaceful festivities. Others were apparently uninvolved bystanders, such as Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. The veteran correspondent was killed last month under disputed circumstances in Jenin during a shootout between Israeli soldiers and Paleostinian button men..

The raids have concentrated on the increasingly unstable Jenin area, from where several of the attackers hailed.

Why Gaza did not fire rockets on Jerusalem Day
[SpinStrangenessCharm] Last Sunday’s Jerusalem Day, Israel was widely expected to get HamAss or P*sslamic Jewhate rockets like last year, when this triggered an 11-day war. Bomb shelter rooms at work were prepared. Not wanting to sound "I told you so" but I was a bit skeptical from the beginning, and in the end nothing was fired. Why? The JPost’s longtime Arab affairs correspondent Khaled Abu Toameh, one of the newspaper’s few trump cards, considers several factors.

  • the organizations haven’t recovered from the thrashing they received in last year’s war

  • severe diplomatic pressure was applied, especially by Egypt, possibly by Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
    too

  • the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
economy is in the toilet, and the 12,000 daily commuters into Israel are a source of revenue that cannot be spared

Putin Has Advanced Cancer - Grip is Tight but Weakening Says US Intel
[DailyWire] A new U.S. classified intelligence report states that Russian President Vladimir Putin underwent treatment in April for advanced cancer.

The report also stated that an assassination attempt was made on Putin in March, after Putin had launched an invasion of Ukraine in late February.

“Putin’s grip is strong but no longer absolute,” one of three intelligence officers from three different intelligence agencies who read the report told Newsweek. “The jockeying inside the Kremlin has never been more intense during his rule, everyone sensing that the end is near.”

One official came from the office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), one served as a senior officer for the Air Force, and one came from the Defense Intelligence Agency.

“What we know is that there is an iceberg out there, albeit one covered in fog,” the DNI officer stated.

The DIA officer added, “One source of our best intelligence, which is contact with outsiders, largely dried up as a result of the Ukraine war. Putin has had few meetings with foreign leaders. … Putin’s isolation has thus increased levels of speculation.”

Photos of Putin consistently sitting at the end of an extremely long table with the others at the meeting at the other end of the table have led to speculation regarding Putin’s health.

“Putin is definitely sick … whether he’s going to die soon is mere speculation,” the DIA official concluded. “Still, we shouldn’t rest assured. We shouldn’t answer our own mail, if you will, believing only the intelligence that affirms our own desired outcome. He’s still dangerous, and chaos does lie ahead if he does die. We need to focus on that. Be ready.”
Courtesy of Skidmark, more from Newsweek:
Vladimir Putin's health is a subject of intense conversation inside the Biden administration after the intelligence community produced its fourth comprehensive assessment at the end of May. The classified U.S. report says Putin seems to have re-emerged after undergoing treatment in April for advanced cancer, three U.S. intelligence leaders who have read the reports tell Newsweek.

"We need to be mindful of the influence of wishful thinking," cautions the retired Air Force leader. "We learned—or didn't learn—that lesson the hard way with Osama bin Laden and Saddam Hussein."

#16  Zelensky announced yesterday that Ukraine has lost 20% of its territory to Russia, which amounts to about 120,000 square km. Prior to the war, Russia controlled about 43,000 square km, or 7%. That's the "status quo ante" Kissinger referred to.

So Zelensky and Biden's rejection of Minsk II and insane announcement that they'd seize Crimea have caused Ukraine to lose -- so far, as of June 3 -- an additional 13% of Ukraine's territory.

Each month that passes will cost Ukraine another 3-4% of its territory -- and that's just to Russia. In the West, Poland has designs on Lviv and the adjacent lands.

If Z or to be precise, Biden, keeps resisting the inevitable capitulation through the summer, it's likely that Ukraine will lose 35-40% of its territory and more than 2/3ds of its valuable resources by September.

Seattle police memo shows defunded force stopped investigating new adult sexual assaults this year
[FoxNews] The worsening staffing crisis at the Seattle Police Department has forced the defunded force to no longer take on new adult sexual assault cases this year, according to a newly revealed internal memo.

The Seattle Times first reported Tuesday about the four-page memo, which the sergeant in charge of the Sexual Assault/Child Abuse Unit sent internally to interim police Chief Adrian Diaz on April 11.

In the memo, titled "Staffing Issues," Sgt. Pamela St. John said she currently is not able to assign new adult sexual assault cases "because of other statutory requirements."

Just three years ago, the unit had 12 skilled detectives, but at the time the memo was written, there are only four remaining.

China-Japan-Koreas
China’s population is about to shrink for the first time since the great famine struck 60 years ago. Here’s what it means for the world
NB: The author is a senior research fellow with a Chinese name at an Australian university. She has received grants from a variety of CCP organizations. It seems reasonable to assume that she is working from official Communist Chinese statistics, which it seems reasonable to assume are between somewhat and a great deal improved over reality. The great famine was the massive starvation caused by Mao Tse Tung’s Great Leap Forward (1959-1961) which resulted in the intentional deaths of between 15 million and 55 million Chinese.
[TheConversation] The world’s biggest nation is about to shrink.

China accounts for more than one sixth of the world’s population.

Yet after four extraordinary decades in which China’s population has swelled from 660 million to 1.4 billion, its population is on track to turn down this year, for the first time since the great famine of 1959-1961.

#13  To emphasize: Why should we believe any cited #'s for China?

It’s human nature to present the best possible image of themselves, especially in a Face culture and even more so in a totalitarian one. If they’re presenting numbers that show their population reached the predicted tipping point — earlier than calculated — the odds are good their numbers show they actually reached that point some time ago. And, given that in totalitarian countries everybody does this all the way down, the odds are very good that those at the top have no idea when that tipping point was actually reached, nor how off the numbers really are. As DarthVader said, they admit to over-counting by 100 million; it will be very interesting to see the the size of subsequent corrections.

All those empty cities built on spec. certainly suggest how far off their planning was in recent years.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Ex-IDF chief: If not for Israeli action, Iran would have had nukes 7-10 years ago
[IsraelTimes] ’Israel carries out diverse operations, most of which are covert, to prevent Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
from attaining nuclear capabilities,’ Gadi Eisenkot says

Iran would have obtained nuclear weapons years ago if not for undercover Israeli operations against the Islamic Theocratic Republic’s nuclear program, the former head of the Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday.

"Israel carries out diverse operations, most of which are covert, to prevent Iran from attaining nuclear capabilities," Gadi Eisenkot declared during a security conference held at Netanya Academic College.

"Without these actions I believe Iran would have already become a nuclear state some 7-10 years ago."
He meant "a glowing plain of glass"
The former military chief also said Israel may need more than military might to address future security challenges, citing the situation in Ukraine as an example.

"When I examine the strategic balance, I see a cup half full and a cup half empty," he said, explaining that on the one hand, Israel has built "an impressive and massive security force" that provides Israel with a good reason to be confident.

"But if you look at the events unfolding between Russia and Ukraine, you see a country with very impressive military capabilities facing a very weak army, and you can see what international perception and support can do to a country’s prowess," Eisenkot noted.

The remarks came after the Israeli Air Force simulated a widescale strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities Tuesday night.

The simulated attack was part of the broader exercise that involves nearly all branches of the IDF and is focused on training for fighting on Israel’s northern borders, including against the Iran-backed Hezbollah terror group in Lebanon Hezbollahstan
...a formerly French, now an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. ...
In light of Iran’s growing nuclear capabilities and continued uncertainty whether the 2015 Iran nuclear deal will be restored amid long-stalled negotiations, the IDF has ramped up its efforts to prepare a credible military threat against Tehran’s nuclear facilities over the past year.

Meanwhile,
...back at the alley, Slats Chumbaloni was staring into a hole that was just .45 inch in diameter and was less than three feet from his heavily sweating face ...
Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Tuesday published documents he said showed that Iran had spied on UN’s atomic agency in order to plan a cover-up of its nuclear activities.

Dutch Court Tries First ISIS Woman Repatriated From NE Syria

The first woman to be brought home from Syria to stand trial in the Netherlands received a three-and-a-half-year prison term on Wednesday for joining the Islamic State group.

The 28-year-old, identified only as Ilham B. was repatriated last year from the Al-Roj detention camp in northeast Syria after she joined the IS and Jabhat al Nusra jihadist groups with her husband in 2013.

Rotterdam District Court said Ilham B. “is sentenced to 42 months in jail of which 12 suspended, for taking part in terrorist organisations and preparing various crimes.”

“The court is satisfied she participated in Syria in the Islamic State and Jabhat al Nusra terrorist organisations,” it said in a statement.

Prosecutors, who demanded an eight year sentence, said Ilham B. also sent out jihadist propaganda on social media and carried guns during her time in Syria.

Ilham B, from the western Dutch city of Gouda, left the Netherlands in September 2013 to travel to Syria via Turkey, court papers said.

Captured by the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces in 2017, she was eventually found in the sprawling Roj camp where she had a second child.

In June 2021 she was brought back to the Netherlands by Dutch officials through Iraq, and arrested upon arrival at Schiphol airport.

The return of jihadist fighters to stand trial in the Netherlands is a politically sensitive subject and the Dutch NCTV anti-terror agency has warned that returning women may give an “impulse to connecting and supporting jihadist activities”.

In February the government fetched five women from Roj camp to put them on trial in the Netherlands. The move came after a Rotterdam court last year warned it may have to drop charges against the women if they were not brought back within a matter of months.

Some 300 Dutch jihadists travelled to join fighters of the now defunct Islamic Caliphate during the height of the Syrian civil war, according to Dutch government figures. About 120 still remained, many in camps and detention centres in northern Syria, Iraq and Turkey.

The Hawl Camp,
...also called Al-Hol camp...
around 40 kilometers east of Hasakah, is a house for 56.775 individuals, most of them are Iraqis. The number of the wives and children of foreign ISIS fighters and detainees is estimated at thousands, and they live in a special sectors in the camp.

Bavaria releases all unpublished files on Munich Olympics massacre
[IsraelTimes] Authorities in Bavaria say they are releasing all previously unpublished files on the attack at the 1972 Munich Olympics following criticism from relatives of the 11 Israeli athletes and coaches who were killed there.

Joachim Herrmann, the top security official in the southern German state, said Thursday that Bavaria will no longer keep any files under wraps, but conceded that federal authorities might still hold confidential files.

The Paleostinian group Black September
...a Fatah sock puppet launched in 1971 to get retribution from the kingdom of Jordan for violently expelling the PLO after the PLO tried to overthrow the government. Naturally this meant they had to hold hostage and kill Israeli Olympic athletes in Germany, among other unrelated attacks. The group was formally dissolved in 1974, which did not stop Mossad from hunting down the big turbans, while the minions were reassigned elsewhere in the Fatah organization ...
took numerous members of the Israeli team hostage on September 5, 1972, with the goal of forcing the release of prisoners held by Israel
...which also had nothing to do with punishing Jordan...
and two left-wing turbans in West German jails. Eleven Israelis and a West German police officer died during a botched rescue attempt.

Complaints about persistent secrecy surrounding the files had threatened to overshadow a planned memorial event for the 50th anniversary of the attack. Some relatives of those killed have also demanded compensation from Germany, something the government has rejected.

#1  "botched rescue attempt"

What a load of B.S. The Bavarian state police had no idea what they were doing and just shot it out with the terrorists. To botch means you had some kind of plan that didn't work. There wasn't any plan. Just "shoot and miss".

#3  The Olympic Massacre happened back when international terrorism was the New Thing and we were progressing from "Take this plane to Cuba" theater where no one got hurt to a form where dead people on TV was the goal. Due to the newness of it all, I'd cut the Bavarians a little slack. Besides, that thing about no plan survives first contact with the enemy...

At Uvalde, on the other hand, they should have been able to flip open a binder and run the play. The school has plans for fires and tornadoes. Not having one for crazy people is negligent.

#4  /\ What SteveS said. This is 2020 and there are FPS games with scenario editors -- they could have a 3D mockup already to plan things. Of course the "real thing" probably will be modified by humans and "tree gnomes" (the mythical creatures that add imaginary trees to you GPS plotted map route -or- make real terrain features disappear in VR).

#5  The local police had apparently gone through live exercise training on exactly this kind of thing only a few weeks previously, I understand.

Iran deports over 100 illegal Pakistani immigrants
[Dawn] Iranian authorities handed over 107 illegal Pak immigrants colonists to Levies Force on Tuesday via Rahdari Gate in Taftan, a border town in Chagai district.

According to official sources, these people had been arrested in different parts of Iran
...Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979...
for illegally crossing into that country and not having valid travel documents.

Most of the illegal immigrants colonists were aiming to travel to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund...
and European countries via Iran in search of jobs, sources said.

A Levies official told Dawn all the detained people, including nine women and 12 children, were handed over to the Federal Investigation Agency for investigation and prosecution.

He said the illegal immigrants colonists included 74 people from Punjab, 24 from Sindh, four from Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
, four from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and one from Azad Jammu and Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain.

How A Spoon-Bending Turkish Magician Built A $600 Million Nasdaq-Listed Scam Based On A Lifetime Of Lies
[HindenburgResearch] SUMMARY: ENOCHIAN BIOSCIENCES, INC. (NASDAQ:ENOB)
Last week, Enochian Biosciences’ co-founder, “scientific founder”, “inventor”, and largest shareholder, Serhat Gumrukcu, was arrested by Federal authorities over allegations that he conspired in a plot to murder a Vermont father of six.

The victim, Gregory Davis, was murdered on January 6th, 2018, just 19 days before Gumrukcu was scheduled to appear in court to defend himself against felony fraud allegations related to a 2016 deal with Davis. Federal prosecutors argued that the prospective merger deal that eventually resulted in Enochian going public served as a key motive for the murder.
