[PUBLISH.TWITTER] "And after President Joe Biden nuked the suburbs of Columbus, Omaha, San Angelo. Natchidotches, Louisiana and Senatobia, Mississippi, there was peace throughout the land as a docile population pooled their remaining money for reparations, Spanish lessons, and the construction of new mosques in every city, town, and village"
This is the perfect illustration of the difference between being ruled and being governed. Obama was "ready to rule from day one" and the Tea Party is no more. (Oh? You thought it died a natural death?) Trump attempted to govern as a mediator between equal parties. He argued, he called names, he pointed fingers, but Think Progress and Move0n keep ticking right along. The French, Russian, Italian, and even German resistances all operated under the assumption that even if you don't have artillery, you can quietly kill the artillerist. There are consequences, of course. Just ask Lidice. I consider killing Heydrich to be Right, nuking Omaha to be Wrong.

They did that to Afghanistan for 20 years and still couldn't win.

Actually, no. We just have to make sure that the ones you have don't work when you want them. Considering the folks you have managing things, this shouldn't be too difficult.

The supreme court needs to look at how easy it is to get a warrant these days because it seems the FBi is able to get a warrant to listen in on anybody at any time.
#2
I know, not their job. Still someone should look into it as warrants are just a speed bump for corrupt cops and i expect they'll be carrying around digital warrants that can be cleared by a judge with Docusign before long..
'The flight of a suspected misdemeanant does not always justify a warrantless entry into a home. An officer must consider all the circumstances in a pursuit case to determine whether there is a law enforcement emergency. On many occasions, the officer will have good reason to enter - to prevent imminent harms of violence, destruction of evidence, or escape from the home. But when the officer has time to get a warrant, he must do so - even though the misdemeanant fled.'

Border Patrol Chief Rodney Scott announced in a Facebook post on Wednesday that he was told by President Biden to relocate, resign or retire
The announcement comes as the administration prepares to overhaul the agency amid a prevailing migration crisis
It also comes just two days before Vice President Kamala Harris plans to head to the U.S.-Mexico border
At the same time, 21 House Republicans introduced a bill on Wednesday to censure Biden over his failure to secure the U.S. border
Biden put Harris in charge of dealing with the migration crisis in March
The announcement of a trip comes after Trump already said last week he will visit the border on Wednesday, June 30 – Harris will beat him there by five days
Trump released a statement Wednesday claiming Harris is only going to the border now because he decided to go to the border
He wrote: 'If Governor Abbott and I weren't going there next week, she would have never gone!'

Heat, drought, wildfires, dust storms have happened out West for many centuries now. The only new thing is a vast horde of migrants, legal and otherwise, who have in the last century packed themselves into a climate zone which is fundamentally at odds with with their long term occupation. Look at what happened in what is now Mesa Verde National Park.

Tech'y funds I researched showed a little bump up today, so the news may be a little over-hyped.
[FoxNews] A section of a partially collapsed building is seen early Thursday, June 24, 2021, in the Surfside area of Miami, Fla. A partial building collapse in Miami caused a massive response early Thursday from Miami Dade Fire Rescue, according to a tweet from the department's account. Miami Dade Fire Rescue is conducting search and rescue. Authorities had no word yet on casualties, or details of how many people lived in the building.
The 8777 Collins Ave building is 40 years old.
Note: google has a Jan. 2021 street view.
A 3 bed/2 bath unit/ 1,748 square feet, sells for over $700k???
Look at the building's left side... the massive 10 story overhang supported by just 3 pillars.

ISTR the damage to the Murrow Building had a "vertical crater" appearance -- this appears to follow the structure of the building. Plus, as swksvolFF noted, no sign of a shockwave on surrounding buildings.

Looks like the building was dropped as in a controlled explosion. It's possible the building didn't have adequate support with the 3 support columns at the ground level--kind of a single-point failure situation. If so bad design.

P.E. Civil - cannot take much from early photos, but the failure doesn't seem like a blast due to location, elements hit. Ima guessrn bad construction: inadequate rebar coverage in salt environment, early days of design/construct of PT deck construction...

[Babylon Bee] The nation scrambled to buy F-15s and nuclear weapons after President Biden said in a speech Wednesday that you'll never beat a government unless you have the fighter jets and intercontinental ballistic missiles.
All over the nation, American citizens were seen parking their brand-new F-15s in their driveways and garages. Some wealthier Americans purchased the F-22, while less fortunate citizens were forced to buy the F-35 joint fighter. But no matter what craft they chose, American citizens said they were just glad to finally be protected against a tyrannical government.
"I need an F-15 to beat the government? Say no more, fam!" said one man in New Hampshire as he happily rushed out to his local F-15 dealer to pick up the latest model. "Before, I thought my AR-15 would be enough, but when Biden pointed out that the U.S. government has fighter jets and I only have an assault rifle, I realized I really needed to beef up my anti-tyranny defense systems."
"Thanks, Mr. Biden! I sure am glad you reminded me of how brutal a government can be against its own citizens and how governments throughout history have in fact attacked their own people once they are disarmed and helpless."
The man was later seen picking up an M1 Abrams tank.

[American Conservative] Last weekend in Chicago, there were 54 shootings, five of them fatal. This was one of the fatal shootings. Warning: its graphic:
Chicago shooting of Gyovanny Arzuaga and Yasmin Perez on June 19 as they drove with their flag, 1 killed, 1 critically wounded in Humboldt Park pic.twitter.com/p9YcaZJmWU
— 🇺🇸 Shavo 🇺🇸 (@d_shavo) June 20, 2021
Look at these two dirt bags, just standing there filming it:
Last week, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who is BLACK, declared that racism is a "public health emergency" in her city, and diverted $10 million in federal Covid funds to fight racism.
Clearly, Chicago's mayor has things well in hand, and has no problem at all facing reality. The Chicago Bears are thinking of relocating to a suburb for a bigger stadium, and Mayor Lightfoot seems more concerned about that than mass murders. Two years ago, she blamed Texas gun laws for Chicago's killing sprees. But Chicago's police superintendent said that same summer that the problem was that the cops keep re-arresting the same thugs, whom the criminal justice system recycle back onto the street.
This is what happens when you elect Woke Democrats to run your city. By the way, Chicago's DA Kim Foxx was backed by leftist billionaire George Soros, who has been pouring his money into electing progressive DAs in big cities. San Francisco DA Chesa Boudin is a Soros acolyte, as is Baltimore DA Marilyn Mosby. All those cities are overrun by crime. Reader Jonah R., who lives in suburban Maryland, left this comment:
On Thursday four young black men drove to a public elementary school in the mostly white, affluent DC neighborhood of Cleveland Park, where they fired more than 40 shots at the school in front of nearly 150 witnesses, hitting two construction workers who were renovating the building and fortunately not hitting any children only because they were in nearby trailer classrooms because of the renovation. The police chased them and caught them when they crashed their car. So far there appears to be no explanation for it other than four black dudes wanted to go randomly shoot up a white school. Let me know if this makes the national news where you live. I'm sure it won't. But this is what happens when criminals feel emboldened by anti-policing rhetoric.
In Baltimore, where the DA has implemented a policy of not prosecuting misdemeanors and low-level crimes, criminals are starting to enjoy a free-for-all environment. The tourist/bar/restaurant neighborhood of Fells Point has seen multiple shootings in the past couple weeks, with one triple shooting occurring just 25 feet from a group of police officers. Some local businesses are refusing to pay their taxes and are putting the money in escrow instead. The neighborhood, already a place for a fun night out at the bars, has been looking like Mardi Gras in recent weeks, but without the cops enforcing laws like they do in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. There's footage of drunks jumping on police cars while the cops just watch. About a week ago, someone went into Fells Point late at night and just randomly shot a bunch of cars. Some restaurants whose owners had been desperate to reopen are closing at 9 p.m. so their employees can get home safely. Some businesses are hiring private security. Police are not enforcing open container laws, parking and traffic regulations, or laws against people openly selling drugs and liquor on the streets. Only in the past few days have the cops come in, but in pointlessly massive numbers, and they've closed streets and manned checkpoints, going to the opposite extreme, as if to spite the neighborhood peons who complained.
I haven't checked the news from Minneapolis lately. Is the community of activist hobos that formed around the site of George Floyd's death still illegally "occupying" the site and inviting anarchy? There were three fatal shootings there in their "autonomous zone" in 2020 and one fatal shooting so far this year.
How about a year of activists trying to burn down federal buildings in Portland? Plus, staffing of the Portland police is at its lowest in decades, and there's been a huge surge of brazen gang violence. According to the AP, Portland disbanded its special unit dedicated to curbing gun violence because activists believed it disproportionately harmed black people.
This is what happens when the "defund the police" chant which is, yes, a fringe activist fantasy becomes policy because people are too afraid to stand up to aggressive activists. I live in a safe multicultural suburb, so I'm fine, but my friends and relatives in cities like DC, Baltimore, and New York are freaking out. You can't for a minute pretend that the rhetoric of the past year didn't play a role in this surge of violence in our cities.
[IsraelTimes] Idea of establishing Mideast no-fly zone for Iranian UAVs reportedly raised in first interagency working group meeting between Israeli and US officials on tackling growing threat.
The United States and Israel reportedly held talks earlier this month on cooperation against unmanned Iranian drones, with which the Islamic Theocratic Republic is believed to be arming Shiite militias and terrorist organizations in the region.
Building on an April agreement by the two counties’ national security advisers, an interagency working group dealing with the threat to Israel and other US allies from Iranian drones and precision-guided missiles convened for the first time three weeks ago, the Walla news site reported.

[Rudaw] Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi on Wednesday called on security forces to redouble efforts to protect transmission towers amid an increase in suspected Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (ISIS) attacks on Iraq's electricity sector.
During a meeting of the Ministerial Council for National Security, Kadhimi said Iraq has reached a good level of electrical production, but said "there is repeated and intentional targeting of electric power towers in a number of governorates" which is "exacerbating the suffering of citizens."
Kadhimi "directed all operational leaders and intelligence services to address these targets, protect energy towers, and pursue criminal groups," according to a tweet from his office.
Several attacks on electricity towers have been reported in the past months, mostly in the disputed territories where ISIS has exploited a security vacuum.
A spokesperson from Iraq’s electricity ministry recently told Rudaw English that bombs have hampered electricity lines in djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... and Diyala, affecting areas across the country, including the capital Baghdad.
The power outages caused by such attacks has exacerbated problems for civilians who are already dealing with soaring temperatures in a year of drought and water shortages.

[AnNahar] Four members of the Saudi hit squad that killed US-based journalist beloved martyr of journalism Jamal Khashoggi ......who was simultaneously a very well paid Washington Post columnist and a long time propagandist for the Moslem Brotherhood and Al Qaeda — he died while on the Qatar ...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi... i payroll, but previously wrote at the behest of then-Saudi intel chief Prince Turki al-Faisal...... in 2018 had received paramilitary training in the United States that had been approved by the State Department, the New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... reported late Tuesday.
Khashoggi, a Saudi-born US resident who wrote for the Washington Post, was an outspoken critic of the Saudi leadership, with which he had once been close. He was murdered on October 2, 2018 in the Saudi consulate in Istanbul by a team of agents sent from Saudi Arabia ...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Fifteen of the nineteen WTC hijackers were Saudis, and most major jihadi commanders were Saudis, to include Osama bin Laden. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman quietly folded that tent in 2016, doing terrible things to the guys running it, and has since been dragging the kingdom into the current century... Four of those operatives, the New York Times said, had received training from a private American security group, Tier 1 Group, a move first authorized by the administration of former president Barack Obama I am the change that you seek... in 2014.
That training continued at least until the start of Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... 's presidency, the newspaper said.
It cited a document provided to the Trump administration by a top official from the parent company of Tier 1 Group, the private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management, who had applied for a senior post at the Pentagon.
In his written testimony, Louis Bremer confirmed that Tier 1 Group did provide training to the Saudi agents, but insisted that the training was "protective in nature" and "unrelated to their subsequent heinous acts."
Bremer said that the four members of the kill team received the training in 2017, and that two of them had already participated in a previous course from October 2014 to January 2015.
The US State Department, contacted by AFP, said it could not comment on this information but called for the "responsible use...of American military equipment and training".
According to a US report released in February, seven members of an elite unit tasked with protecting Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman ...Crown Prince and modernizer of Saudi Arabia as of 2016. The Turks hate him, so he must be all right, despite the occasional brutal murder of Qatar-owned journalists. As crown prince, Moe has quietly jettisoned his country's policy of trying to impose its religion on the rest of the world... were part of the hit squad that killed Khashoggi.
The New York Times did not specify whether the four operatives trained in the United States belonged to this unit.
The body of the dissident journalist, dismembered on the spot, has never been found. After denying the liquidation, Riyadh claimed the murder had been carried by Saudi agents who acted alone.
After an opaque trial in Saudi Arabia, five Saudis were sentenced to death and three sentenced to prison terms. The death sentence ...the barbaric practice of sentencing a murderer to be punished for as long as his/her/its victim is dead... s have since been commuted.

The Saudis must have forgotten to bribe someone in the Deep State.
[IsraelTimes] Mariam Thompson, 62, divulged real names of at least 8 people working for US intelligence in Iraq to a Lebanese national she had a romantic link with.
A Pentagon translator was sentenced Wednesday to 23 years in prison for passing the names of US informants in Iraq to a person linked to Hezbollah, Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady human sacrifice days of Baal Moloch. In 2020 Hezbollahblew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate faci8lity exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that... ’s powerful Shiite terror group.
Mariam Thompson, 62, had admitted transmitting the classified information to a Lebanese national in hopes that it would be passed on to the group designated a terrorist organization by Washington.
"Thompson’s sentence reflects the seriousness of her violation of the trust of the American people, of the human sources she jeopardized and of the troops who worked at her side as friends and colleagues," John Demers, head of the Justice Department’s National Security Division, said in a statement.
According to court documents, Thompson worked as an interpreter on a foreign military base when, in 2017, she began a relationship on a video app with a man who said he was connected to Hezbollah in Lebanon.
"Over time, Thompson developed a romantic interest in her co-conspirator," the Justice Department said.
She was assigned to American special forces in Arbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, in December 2019, when the unit initiated strikes against a pro-Iranian militia, which ended January 3, 2020, with the death of powerful Iranian General Qassim Suleimani.
Shortly after, Thompson’s contact asked for information about agents suspected of having aided the United States.
She gave him data on several American informants, including the real names of at least eight people, accessed through personnel files, and information on US military tactics.
She was arrested by federal authorities the next month, in late February 2020.

I could have sworn we had the story of the original arrest, but I couldn’t find it in the archives. Yet another jihadi BFF was actually a government informer? Thank goodness!
[IsraelTimes] A new poll on American attitudes toward a core conflict in the Middle East finds about half of Democrats want the US to do more to support the Paleostinians, showing that a growing rift among Democratic politicians is also reflected in the party’s base.
The poll from The News Agency that Dare Not be Named-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research finds differences within both the Democratic and the Republican parties on the US approach toward Israel and the Paleostinians, with liberal Democrats wanting more support for the Paleostinians and conservative Republicans seeking even greater support for the Israelis.
The survey also examines Americans’ opinions on the Biden administration (aka the Wilmington comorra) ...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know... ’s handling of the Israel-Paleostinian conflict.
The poll shows Americans overall are divided over US policy toward Israel and the Paleostinians. It also shows more Americans disapprove of President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem mschine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family... ’s approach to the conflict than approve of it.
President Joe Biden speaks at a CNN ...the organization formerly known as the Cable News Network. Now who knows what it might stand for... town hall in Milwaukee, Wisc., Feb. 16, 2021. (Saul Loeb/AFP via Getty Images)
Among Democrats, 51% say the US is not supportive enough of the Paleostinians. The sentiment jumps to 62% among Democrats who describe themselves as liberal. On the other hand, 49% of Republicans say the US is not supportive enough of the Israelis, a number that rises to 61% among those who say they’re conservative.
Overall, the poll shows that 29% of Americans say the US is too supportive of the Israelis, 30% say it’s not supportive enough and 36% say it’s about right. In its approach toward the Paleostinians, 25% say the US is too supportive, 32% say it’s not supportive enough and 37% say it’s about right.
The poll found 56% of Americans disapprove of the way Biden is handling the conflict, compared with 40% who approve. While 75% of Republicans disapprove of how Biden is handling the conflict, so do 35% of Democrats.
Forty-two percent of liberal Democrats say they disapprove of how Biden is handling the conflict, compared with 31% of moderate and conservative ones.
That’s compared with just 9% of Democrats who disapprove of how Biden is handling his job in general. Overall, Biden’s job approval rating stands at 55%.
The poll also shows just 19% of Americans think the US should play a major role in finding a solution to the conflict, while 50% say it should play a minor role and 28% say it should play no role. Democrats and Republicans are largely in agreement on the size of the US role in the conflict.
A majority of Americans, 57%, say they think there is a way for Israel and an independent Paleostinian state to coexist peacefully, compared with 39% who say there is not a way. About 2 out of 3 Democrats think there is a way. Republicans are closely divided, with 50% saying there is and 45% saying there is not.

[OneIndia] Some suspects are being questioned in connection with the killing of a cop in Nowgam area of the city here on Tuesday, even as the CCTV footage of the incident showed that two bandidoshard boyz shot up the officer with pistols, officials said on Wednesday.
Inspector Parvez Ahmad Dar was shot at and injured in front of a local mosque near his residence at Menganwaji Nowgam area of the city while he was going for prayers, the officials said.
They said Dar sustained grievous bullet injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital where he succumbed toinjuries.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that two bandidoshard boyz fired upon the police inspector with pistols, they said.
The CCTV footage of the incident shows firing by two gunnies with pistols. Their identification is being done and suspects are being questioned, the officials said.
Police have started the paperwork but haven't done much else, the investigation is in progress and officers continue to work to establish the circumstances which lead to this terror crime, they said.
The officials said the cop is survived by his wife, a 13-year-old daughter and a ten-year-old son.
[OneIndia] Mumbai serial blasts case criminal mastermind Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar has been arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau in Mumbai.
The NCB has confirmed taking Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar into its custody in drugs case. Kaskar was arrested by police in neighbouring Thane in an extortion case. On Wednesday, after his arrest in the drugs case, he was brought to the NCB''s office at Ballard Estate in south Mumbai
Kaskar''s involvement was found in connection with the seizure of 15 kg of hashish, a contraband, following which he was taken into custody, the official said without divulging any further details.
Earlier, the probe agency had arrested drug peddler Haris Khan over his alleged links with gangster and drug peddler Parvez Khan alias Chinku Pathan, an associate of runaway underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
Khan was arrested after an NCB team raids at various locations in suburban Andheri, Lokhandwala and Bandra. An official told news agency PTI that Khan was arrested in connection with the Chinku Pathan drugs case, "but his role in the drug case linked to Rajput's death will also be investigated".
[OneIndia] A narcotics smuggler was rubbed out by the BSF along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... 's Kathua district and 27 kg of heroin worth crores of rupees recovered from his possession on Wednesday, officials said.
A spokesperson of the Border Security Force (BSF) said the incident took place in the border outpost (BOP) Pansar area of Hiranagar sector.
BSF personnel noticed the smuggler trying to sneak into Indian territory from the other side of the border. They shot him after he ignored their warnings and tried to flee, he said.
The identity of the smuggler is being ascertained.
A senior officer said the value of the drugs recovered during the operation is estimated to be over Rs 100 crore in the international market.
The spokesperson pointed out that earlier on January 23, the BSF had detected a 150-metre underground tunnel, which was meant to facilitate the infiltration of hard boyz from Pakistain for carrying out subversive activities, in the BOP Pansar area.
[OneIndia] India on Tuesday slammed Pakistain for providing pensions to dreaded and listed hard boyz and hosting them on its territory, saying it's high time that Islamabad is held accountable for aiding and abetting terrorism.
Exercising the Right of Reply to the statements made by Pakistain at the 47th session of the Human Rights Council (HRC) here, the Indian representative said that the scourge of terrorism is the gravest violation of human rights One man's rights are another man's existential threat. and must be dealt with in strongest terms in all its forms and manifestations.
"Pakistain, as its state policy, continues to provide pensions to dreaded and listed hard boyz and host them on its territory. It's high time that Pakistain is held accountable for aiding and abetting terrorism," the Indian representative said.
Noting that Pakistain has once again misused this platform for making informed and irresponsible allegations against India, the Indian diplomat said that Islamabad has been doing this only to distract the Council's attention from the deplorable human rights situation in the country.
"The plight of minorities in Pakistain is evident from their shrinking size. 'Forced conversions' have become a daily phenomenon in Pakistain. We have seen reports of minor girls belonging to religious minorities being kidnapped, raped, forcibly converted and married. More than 1,000 girls, belonging to religious minorities, are forcibly converted in Pakistain every year," the Indian diplomat said.
"Systematic persecution of minorities, including Christians, Ahmadiya, Sikhs, Hindus through draconian blasphemy ...the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence to a deity, or sacred objects, or toward something considered sacred or inviolable. Some religions consider it to be a crime. In Pakistain you can commit blasphemy by looking cross-eyed at a Koran... laws, forced conversions and marriages and extra-judicial killings, has become a regular phenomenon in Pakistain. Holy and ancient sites of religious minorities in Pakistain have been attacked and vandalised," the official said.
Pakistain has also become the land of enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings and arbitrary detentions of political activists, students, journalists, human rights defenders and minorities, the Indian official said.
"Pakistain has the dubious distinction of being listed as one of the most dangerous countries for practice of journalism. Journalists are threatened, intimidated, taken off air, kidnapped and in some cases killed, mainly to silence critics of the Establishment. While families of victims continue to struggle for justice, the perpetrators of these acts have enjoyed complete immunity," the Indian diplomat said.
Earlier, India said that as the world's largest democracy, it is committed to promotion and protection of human rights of its citizens, including through inclusive polity and society and sustainable development.
"We have undertaken targeted policy interventions to empower the vulnerable sections of our society in order to improve their access to education, housing, healthcare, social protection, sanitation, water supply etc. and to provide them good governance and opportunities for development," it said.
"In line with our commitment towards global promotion and protection of human rights, we have made a voluntary contribution of $400,000 to UN Trust Funds. We hope that this will ensure effective participation from SIDS and LDCs in the Council," it added.
Neither Dawn nor One India had anything about this as of last night, only this Ay Pee article from Al Ahram’s feed. We’ll see if it shows up anywhere today.
[AlAhram] Last year, Pakistain sentenced Saeed to 15 years in jail in a terror-financing case, but he was never charged in connection with the Mumbai attacks
A powerful boom-mobile went off near the residence of a tossed in the clink Drop the rod and step away witcher hands up! anti-India murderous Moslem leader in the eastern city of Lahore on Wednesday, killing at least three people and wounding 15 others, police and rescue officials said.
The blast happened in the Johar Town neighborhood, provincial police chief Inam Ghani told news hounds. He said officers were still trying to determine whether it was a suicide kaboom or the bomb was remotely detonated.
Ghani said some coppers were also among the maimed persons.
``It was a boom-mobile, but we are still trying to confirm whether it was a suicide kaboom,`` he said.
He confirmed that the bombing happened near the residence of anti-India murderous Moslem leader Hafiz Seed, who has been designated a terrorist by the U.S. Justice Department and has a $10 million bounty on his head.
Saeed is the founder of the outlawed Lashkar-e-Taiba ...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI... group, which was blamed for the 2008 Mumbai attacks that killed 166 people.
Lashkar-e-Taiba was active for years mainly in Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... , which is split between Pakistain and India and is claimed by both in its entirety. In the Indian-controlled sector of Kashmir, rebels have been fighting against Indian rule since 1989. Most Moslem Kashmiris support the rebel goal that the territory be united either under Pak rule or as an independent country.
India accuses Pakistain of backing rebels in the Indian part of Kashmir, a charge Pakistain denies. Pakistain says it only provides moral, political and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people, and that this support will continue until they get the right to self-determination under a UN resolution.
TV footage showed badly damaged homes, and many residents spoke of a kaboom. Doctors say some of the maimed were at death's door.
Ghani said police were guarding Saeed's house at the time of the attack. He said the attackers might have succeeded in targeting Saeed's home had police not set up a security post in the street where the bombing happened.
Saeed had been under house arrest. It was unclear whether the bombing caused any damage to his home, although the windows of dozens of homes were damaged.
Authorities blocked passageways to Saeed's home, citing security reasons.
Last year, Pakistain sentenced Saeed to 15 years in jail in a terror-financing case, but he was never charged in connection with the Mumbai attacks.
Pakistain and India have a history of bitter relations and they have fought two of their three wars over Kashmir since gaining independence in 1947.
[DailyWire] A Seattle LGBT Pride event, Taking Black Pride, is seeking to charge white attendees a "$10 to $50 reparations fee" in order to "keep [the] event free of cost for Black and brown trans and queer community." When two Capitol Hill Pride organizers complained, the Seattle Human Rights Commission blasted them on social media in a tweet that included their unredacted phone number, and the pair were forced to apologize.
The two organizers, Charlette LeFevre and Philip Lipson of Capitol Hill Pride sent a complaint to the Seattle Human Rights Commission after noticing that a local Pride event, Taking B(l)ack Pride, had announced it was charging the "reparations fee" on its Facebook page.

Wakandan shakedown and whitey plays along, if you fudge packers had any pride in yourselves, you'd tell'm to f-off, that's 'party' to you; let the festivities begin...
[OneIndia] A new documentary has spoken about the involvement of the Gay Paree attack conspirator Muhammad Ghani Usman
...who is not in the Rantburg archives with that spelling...
, a Pak national and Lashkar-e-Tayiba terrorist in the planning and execution of the Mumbai 26/11 attacks.
Usman is currently is in a jail in La Belle France after being arrested in connection with the Gay Paree attack in 2015. The documentary aired by German broadcaster DW aims to find out the financing, planning and commissioning of terror attacks in Europe.
Quoting London based security analyst, Sajjan Gohel, the documentary says, " this man was a key member of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba. It is believed that he was a part of the operations planning for the attacks in Mumbai in 2008. Yet, nothing was done."
It may be recalled that Usman was questioned by the NIA in 2019. The NIA learnt that Usman was in touch with David Headley, the man who conducted the reconnaissance for the 26/11 attacks.
Further the documentary speaks about the major conspiracies hatched by the turbans and also reveals the name of Sajid Mir. "Suspects in the US confirm the existence of Sajid Mir and his role in recruiting and indoctrinating westerners with an aim of sending them back to Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... or the US to carry out attacks in the name of LeT," the documentary said while quoting Jean-Louis Bruguiere, a former French investigative judge, anti-terrorism.

Usman Muhammad of Sahiwal, Pak-Punjab is a mercenary, although trained by the Lashkar e Taiba. He has passable skill in assembling and rigging explosives with a penchant for incendiaries and... p0rn.
Paris let us speak to him at length [about his training, contacts, names he reported to etc] and even conduct chemical assisted interrogation [ahem]. He joins whatever group will pay better and was contracted by intermediaries to strike a blow for ISIS in Europe. His parents who still live in Pak-Punjab disowned him for his 'bad habits', but his friends in Pakistain hail him as a cult hero. He loves motorcycles and wants to own a Harley one day.
Usman and his Algerian buddy came to Greece (Leros island) via boat, with Syrian passport as refugees. His fake name on the passport then was Faical Alayifan. He also ran two online A/cs [I forget the tags] teaching bombmaking and sharing videos of aftermath of blasts.

^ swksvolFF, I'm afraid I haven't seen it yet. I only saw some bollywood turd about 26/11 and refused to watch anything after. It was full of philosophizing on good islam and bad islam, that sorta thing. I know showbiz can't produce anything close to helpful, because it's riddled with islamists and drug money, whichever country you talk about. But I will watch it, now that you've mentioned it.
[ToloNews] The commander of 209 Shaheen Army Corps, General Khanullah Shuja, on Wednesday said that the security forces have launched a major operation which is aimed to retake the territory lost to the Taliban ...Arabic for students... in recent weeks.
He said that the defense of Mazar-e-Sharif is strong and that the Taliban will not be allowed to take over the city.
"There was speculation that the enemy would infiltrate the city, there were rumors that Marmul and Dehdadi have collapsed, no area has collapsed and will not collapse," said General Khanullah Shuja.
Pul-e-Imam Bekri is currently the main battleground between the Taliban and the Afghan cops in Balkh province in the north of Afghanistan. It is 20 kilometers from Mazar-e-Sharif city.
"To the east of this checkpoint is Balkh district, in the south, there is Chimtal and Sholgara districts. The Taliban are present around this checkpoint," said Omar, a soldier in Balkh.
"We are ready to sacrifice our lives for this country; we will stay there forever as long as we are alive," said Hafizullah, an Afghan National Police officer in Balkh.
"We are here to resist to the lost drop of our blood," said Naweed, an ANP officer.
"We will move forward, we will not return to the past," said Ghausuddin, an Afghan special operations officer in Balkh.
With the expansion of security threats in northern Afghanistan, hundreds of people in Balkh, Jawzjan, Sar-e-Pul ...a city and eponymous province in northern Afghanistan, population about 500,000. There are small Pashtun, Arab, and Hazara communities, of which the Hazaras mostly don't bother anyone... and Faryab provinces have taken up arms in support of the Afghan National Security and Defense Forces (ANDSF).
[NYPOST] Two people were arrested during a fiery ...a single two-syllable word carrying connotations of both incoherence and viciousness. A fiery delivery implies an audience of rubes and yokels, preferably forming up into a mob... public meeting Tuesday night of an embattled Virginia school board, which cut off public comments when a fight erupted during discussions on a proposal on transgender rights, according to reports.
More than 300 people attended the raucous meeting — many voicing opposition to the proposed Policy 8040, which would require teachers to use a child’s preferred gender pronouns, Loudoun Now reported.
Former state Sen. Dick Black also assailed the board for its push to include Critical Race Theory
...teaches that skin color is the most important characteristic of any person, which translates to separate but equal with a different bunch in charge. All whites and Asians are born racist and racism permeates every aspect of society, which should be dismantled and the remains turned over to the kind of dipshit who pushes this nonsense... in the curriculum, claiming that it teaches kids to hate others because of their skin color.
The crowd repeatedly cheered public speakers who slammed school board members and denounced the plan that would provide bathroom and locker room access based on students’ gender identities.
Transgender student-athletes would be allowed to participate on teams based on their gender identity, and teachers and staff would be required to use students’ preferred pronouns.

It costs money to hire a tutor or to pay for a private school and then you're still stuck paying taxes for the public schools. It's cheaper to fix the schools.

This is correct. Even with supposed "local control," a parent or group of parents is up against a leviathan. You can't override the teachers unions. Better to leave the public schools entirely

Thank goodness I grew up in one of the very Republican suburbs despite it being where the University of Buffalo professors lived.
[NYPost] In a stunning upstate upset, Democratic-Socialist insurgent India Walton toppled four-term incumbent Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, an ally of Gov. Andrew Cuomo in Tuesday's primary election. Brown refused to debate Walton and didn't campaign much. There were only about 15% turnout. Other Socialists picked up city council seats.
Walton, a 38-year-old mother of four and staunch union supporter, was propelled to victory, in part, through strong backing by the leftist Working Families Party; and will likely become the first female mayor in Buffalo's history.
"I became a mother at 14. The majority of my campaign's leadership team is working mothers. People like us often get told we don't belong in politics. But WFP [Working Families Party] believed in us and invested in us," she said in a statement Wednesday.
A self-described socialist, Walton was backed by the Buffalo chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America.

Seems like one of those devil's choices: Crony of Cuomo vs. Dem Socialist. Pubs have also offered up a few of such choices to voters. As a citizen, you end up losing either way. The difficulty is trying to figure out how to lose the least.
[ToloNews] Police special forces and commandos on Wednesday assured the people that soon Pul-e- Khumri city, capital of northern Baghlan province, will break free from the Taliban ...Arabic for students... siege.
Residents of the city told TOLOnews news hound Sharif Amiry, who is in Pul-e-Khumri, they have left all their belongings and moved to the secure parts of the city.
"Not just in our village, if you see, the people are being displaced in every village, district and across the province," said Sultan, a resident of Pul-e-Khumri.
Dahna-e-Ghori, Burka, Nahrin, Jalga, Baghlan-e-Markzai and Doshi districts of Baghlan fell to the Taliban in the past two weeks, according to local officials and sources.
On the battlefield, police special forces, commandos and public uprising forces are fighting against the Taliban.
"They (Taliban) blocked a road in PD2 (of Pul-e-Khumri) and we are going to clear the road," said Fawad Nabard, commander of the 888 police unit.
"The people must not lose their morale and must not fear. Nothing will happen, we will fight, and the people should just stay in their homes," said Kaka Jan, a police officer.
TOLOnews' Amiry said that despite the ongoing festivities in Pul-e-Khumri, the people are continuing with their normal life and the shops and government organizations are open and conducting business.
"The people have concerns. Six or seven districts fell to the Taliban and the central government has yet to pay attention to the situation," said Manlang Andarabi, a resident of Pul-e-Khumri.
"The government must send more troops to Baghlan and not let the property of the people and the government be stolen," said resident Frayab Aslami.
Reports indicate that the Taliban has taken over the centers of Dand-e-Pathan and Janikhel districts in Paktia province, Shamalzai in Zabul province and Khash in northern Badakhshan province over the past 24 hours.
However, ars longa, vita brevis... the Afghan Ministry of Interior (MoI) has said that the Taliban’s recent military advance is temporary and will be pushed back soon by security forces.

According to my wife:
Try finding a woman that looks like a lady, acts like a lady, dresses like a lady, wear her hair like a lady and that wants to be a graceful wife, and a mother.
Now a days what is the incentive to marry?
They are sexually aggressive as men. No ring needed.
They don't want your last name.
They just basically want a room and board arrangement while they seek their outside careers.
BTW:
Will have been married 45 years this Sept.
Married old school.

Most are selfish, don't want to help run the house, want to play and be in their 20s all their lives, and if you don't give them what they want they can clean you out in divorce court.
What sane man would bet at least half of his hard earned stuff on that?
Find a lady that would love to be a supporting wife and mother while being supported by a husband and you are good. Problem is most of those women are in red areas and snapped up pretty darn quick.
The key is that at least one of the two can do it, and the other one accepts necessary limitations to keep from sending the family to the poorhouse. I did my best, but eventually had to confront Mr. Wife about the fact that money is simply not what I’m good at. Thereafter — until I got sick — I made sure the bills were paid on time, and didn’t spend more than the overall budget, but he managed the stuff. He also trained the trailing daughters on the subject — td #1 is like me, td#2 at seven or eight showed she is like him, so she long ago promised that after he dies she’ll take over for me.

What the media has been able to do with women this last 18 months is revealing.
Media is bullshit. Unhappy people spend money on bullshit. People in their 30s, 40s, should start to have disposable money. Childless people have disposable money.
Probably best summed up with Brie Larson's 'Drop the Taco' commercial.

I've never known men to be good with money and fun at the same time.
Now you’re teasing, because of course you have — they just aren’t flashy about it like the other group. There are lots of ways to have fun that cost little to nothing, and the payoff for general frugality is having the funds for the occasional extravagance. What you're talking about is a status display — and it’s the same behaviour for men and women — that results from deliberately spending beyond actual income.
Mrs. Besoeker could squeeze a nichel until the buffalo *****, and I love her for it.
Mr. Wife would love if I could, and I tried, but my mind simply doesn’t work that way.

Mrs C and I have been married 40 years this summer. What we have done to one another not to mention the sacrament isn't for youthful ears. She earned her Phi Beta Kappa key as a gorgeous undergrad and has left them around the countryside like Johnny Appleseed. Someday she will be allowed to handle money again, most probably after my time.
[NYPOST] President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing...... on Wednesday will unveil a "zero tolerance" policy for "rogue" gun dealers accused of violating rules as his administration blames a national crime wave on guns and the COVID-19 pandemic rather than big-city pushes to defund the police and increased tolerance for lawlessness following nationwide police brutality protests.
The zero-tolerance policy will be enforced by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives — which may soon be led by David Chipman, an anti-gun activist whom gun rights groups are seeking to block from Senate confirmation.
The policy could have a significant impact on federally licensed gun dealers. In fiscal 2020, for example, the ATF performed nearly 6,000 inspections of licensees and found violations in about 44 percent of cases, though most received warnings or no penalty and just 136 of 2,550 violators lost their licenses.
Biden will announce the policy during a Wednesday speech addressing the surge in murders, shootings and certain other forms of violent mostly peaceful crime, such as carjackings. The speech will also underscore that localities can use COVID-19 relief funds approved in March "to hire more officers" for police forces, a senior White House official said.

Most blue-run cities have become dangerous. For example, Buckhead used to be safe but gradually this has changed over the years. Residents of Buckhead are trying to have their policing break away from the Atlanta PD.
[AlAhram] Italia has agreed to take in 270 people who worked with its soldiers and may accept another 400, the defence ministry said last week
Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... should brace for a large inflow of migrants colonists from Afghanistan following the pull out of US and NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... troops, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi warned Wednesday.
"It is foreseeable that the withdrawal from Afghanistan will lead to an increase in immigration from that country of an as yet unknown quantity, but we all know it will be big," he said.
"So we need even more to be all together in tackling this problem," Draghi said, calling for EU unity ahead of a June 24-25 summit in Brussels.
He urged the EU to focus on "containment" and the repatriation of illegal migrants colonists, but also on legal migration and on aid to migrants colonists' countries of origin.
He criticised the bloc for neglecting the issue of migration, saying that it has not formally been on the agenda of EU summits for the past three years.
Turning to Italia -- one of the EU countries most exposed to the inflow of migrants colonists -- Draghi called for greater national efforts on integration.
"If we do not integrate these people in Italian society, we first of all harm ourselves... if we do not integrate them, we produce potential enemies," he said.
US and NATO troops are pulling out of Afghanistan after 20 years of war, while the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... has been making huge territorial gains.
Peace talks between the Afghan government and the Taliban have stalled, fuelling fears that the country may slide into civil war once foreign troops are gone.
Afghans already make up a sizeable share of EU asylum seekers, with 44,190 first-time applications last year, out of a total of 416,600, according to Eurostat, the EU's statistics agency.
The largest number of first-time applications -- more than 63,000 -- came from Syria, which has also been trapped in conflict for years.
This year, several EU countries agreed to offer asylum to Afghans who worked with foreign troops and are at risk of retaliatory attacks from the Taliban.
Italia has agreed to take in 270 people who worked with its soldiers and may accept another 400, the defence ministry said last week.

So why doesn't Italy have a big contingent of troops in Afghanistan, if it's that worried about it?
[ToloNews] Five non-combatants were killed and 20 more, including women and kiddies, were maimed in a roadside kaboom blast in the southern province of Kandahar on Tuesday night, the provincial police said on Wednesday.
The incident happened on Kabul-Kandahar Highway in Maiwand district in Kandahar on Tuesday night after a passenger vehicle was hit by a roadside mine, police said.
Health officials confirmed the casualties and said "the maimed include women and kiddies."
No group, including the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... , has grabbed credit for the blast.
This comes as Maiwand district fell to Taliban following festivities on Monday.
[NYPOST] Sen. Lindsey Graham ...soft-spoken senator from South Carolina, former best buddy of John Maverick McCain. Since McCain's demise, Graham has become more outspoken, more Republican and more of a supporter of President Trump. The speech he gave in support of Brett Kavanaugh was downright manly and really cheesed off the Dems... accused the Biden administration (aka the Wilmington comorra) ...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know... Tuesday of practicing "incompetent domestic and foreign policy" that is only benefiting criminals and US adversaries.
"All these policies are blowing up in the Biden-Harris administration’s face," Graham (R-SC) told Fox News’ "Hannity." "Six months since they’ve been in charge — let’s name the winners in the past six months.
"Drug cartels in Mexico, human traffickers and coyotes in Mexico, the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... in Afghanistan, the Iranian ayatollah, Russia, [Russian President Vladimir] Putin, and China have all been the biggest winners of incompetent domestic and foreign policy," the senator added.
The Department of Homeland Security is set to announce Wednesday that thousands of asylum-seekers whose claims were dismissed due to failure to appear in immigration court will get a chance to come to the US make their case, a move Graham described as another example of the White House being "incompetent and foolish when it comes to managing illegal immigration."
Oddly, there are no photos of AOC weeping in her white suit. And Harris seems to have gone into the witness protection program. [BBC] At a US border detention centre in the Texan desert, migrant children have been living in alarming conditions - where disease is rampant, food can be dangerous and there are reports of sexual abuse, an investigation by the BBC has found through interviews with staff and children.
In recent months, the US has seen a massive rise in migrants and asylum seekers from Central America. Violence, natural disasters and pandemic-related economic strife are some of the reasons behind the influx, experts say.
Some have also suggested the perception of a more lenient administration under Democrat Joe Biden has contributed to the crisis, though the White House has urged migrants against journeying to the US border.
The tented camp in the Fort Bliss military base in El Paso, Texas, is the temporary home for over 2,000 teenaged children who have crossed the US-Mexico border alone and are now awaiting reunification with family in the US.
Findings from the BBC's investigation include allegations of sexual abuse, Covid and lice outbreaks, a child waiting hours for medical attention, a lack of clean clothes and hungry children being served undercooked meat.

A FEW POINTS
1st of all the ILLEGALS were signaled it was OK to ILLEGALLY FLOOD across the border by the Socialist-Democrat Coup Admin, temporarily ILLEGALLY in power.
2nd - they would not be here if our Borders were secured.
3rd - the conditions the kids are in now, as crowded as they are. Are far far better than what they came from or went thru getting here. (regular food, snacks, HVAC, clean, beds, movies and etc etc.)
4th - their Parents must NEVER be allowed to reclaim their children having already abandoned them. They must never be allowed to emergency visa's having pulled this deadly stunt. If they ever show up they should be arrested immediately for Extreme Child Cruelty.
5th - whatever the BBC wants to say. It is clear they are pushing a Political agenda story, while avoiding the root causes is the Harris/Pelosi/biden Admin.

The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... and vast financial assets, the Hashed al-Shaabi paramilitary alliance has become the predominant force in Iraqi politics, experts say.
In a boost for the alliance, largely made up of pro-Tehran gangs, neighbouring Iran on Friday elected ultraconservative holy man Ebrahim Raisi as president.

I never voted Democrat in my life.
I was commenting only on those who think Ashli Babbit is some saint. She got what she deserved.
I against all mob violence and do not tolerate saying it is okay because you like the politics of certain rioters.

The problem with Ashli Babbit is the hypocrisy of those who flipped out when George Floyd died but say nothing about Ashli Babbit. Seems to be a double standard. The problem with you is you are an unreasonable h8ter.

Actually 'this house' as he puts it is OUR house, the Peoples' house which coincidentally is full of...public servants. We are their masters not the wrong way round and none of us needs an invitation from the butler or the footman.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs says Critical Race Theory is important, blames Capitol Riot on ‘White Rage
What, no mention of Antifa and the nutjobs and their roles? Millie has become a poque and a tool for pushing this leftwing narrative crap. Many of the videos of Jan. 6th show that capital police and others LEs seemed to be inviting protesters into the House. LE also appeared to way undermanned on the 6th.

I've been reading Rantburg for about 15 years. Today is the first time I've heard of 'Horseshoe'. Have you had another name in the past?
As for the General. He spoke of 'White Rage'. I saw no rage there with people wandering around the capitol building (after being invited in). There were a few (but not thousands). And if he doesn't know what the people were upset (but not raging) about then he's must be pretty ignorant - or stupid enough to believe CNN.
[NYPOST] Pope Francis ...Argentine liberation theologist, born Jorge Mario Bergoglio. He was elected pope in 2013. Rather than setting up shop in Avignon, where he belongs, the first Jesuit Pope chose to reside in the Domus Sanctae Marthae guesthouse instead of the papal apartments. He is big on climate change, against consumerism, and in favor of throwing a blanket over homosexual activity (so to speak) within the clergy. He's not real sure about the Resurrection, about Christ's divinity, and a few other things that would have gotten him burned at the stake a few hundred years ago, but he's hot for a certain South American Earth Mother Goddess... had a little competition in the superhero department on Wednesday.Spider-Man gifted the 84-year-old pontiff his very own Marvel Comics character mask as the two living legends shook hands at the end of the weekly audience in the Vatican’s San Damaso Courtyard.
The comic book and blockbuster film icon — dressed head to toe in his signature body-con red, black and blue uniform — was seated in the official "VIP section" of the audience before being introduced to a smiling Pope Francis.
Buzzkill alert: The man behind the Spidey mask at the meet-and-greet was eventually revealed to be Mattia Villardita, 27, from northern Italia, Rooters reported.
He sat quietly next to a priest dressed in black — who appeared to be quite unfazed by the colorful character with big white eyes in the seat next to him, as captured in charming video footage released by international outlets.

[NYPOST] Here’s something new to worry about when it comes to President Joe Biden ...... 46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity....... ’s tax plan: It could hit you in the paycheck.
A new analysis from the Tax Policy Center shows the White House’s plan to hike the minimum rate on corporate taxes to 28 percent from the current rate of 21 percent will effectively hit the finances of lower- and middle-income taxpayers to the tune of $300 — in the form of lower wages.
Some readers may have understandably been scratching their heads on Monday when the Tax Policy Center’s report got released, as its verbiage framed the hit as an actual tax increase.
"About three-quarters of middle-income households would face a tax increase averaging about $300," according to the paper by Howard Gleckman. "But nearly all would be a result of those higher corporate taxes."
Reached after the report’s publication, Gleckman clarified that the $300 was actually a reference to his projections of lost compensation. In addition to companies cutting wages to offset higher tax bills, Gleckman predicts that anyone with a 401K will likely see their net worth shrink as the tax plan deflates the stock market.

The cost accountants long ago figured out that taxes are just an expense like any other expense. If one category of expense goes up, well, some other category of expense has to go down.

Where ?
Being geographically challenged is a hazard, but I like maps, so this post:
Ingushetia, officially the Republic of Ingushetia, is a republic of Russia located in the North Caucasus of Eastern Europe. The republic is part of the North Caucasian Federal District, and shares land borders with the country of Georgia to its south; and borders the Russian republics of North Ossetia–Alania and Chechnya to its east and west; while having a border with Stavropol Krai to its north.
[NYPOST] Eric Adams commanded a formidable 10-point lead of the first-choice votes in New York City’s hotly contested Democratic mayoral primary Tuesday. Late returns showed the Brooklyn borough president well ahead of the pack — but it will be a couple of weeks before a winner can actually be declared.
"New York City said our first choice is Eric Adams," he told a roaring crowd of supporters at his election night party in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
"Brothers and sisters, the race is not over but the movement is here," Adams continued. "New Yorkers said the more we know Eric, the more we like Eric."
"Tonight all of us, we are on the precipice of gaining the keys to the prosperity of our city."
The first round of the Democratic mayoral primary voting had Adams (253,234 votes), Maya Wiley (177,722 votes) and Kathryn Garcia (155,812 votes) one, two, three, with 96.62 percent of the precincts reporting.
But Adams, a former NYPD captain, has opened a daunting lead, with 31.66 percent of the 799,827 ballots counted as of 1:48 a.m.

With 99% of the precincts reporting, an abrupt stop in the count was noted at 4-5:01 AM this morning. The tally 'reset' with 60% of the 3 candidate exchanging numerical counts by extremely accurate talleys...one candidate received 56 thousand and 3/5th votes with the previous front runner loosing 19 thousand and 2/5th votes, with the 3rd runner upp candidate being disqualified because the district lines were moved in the afternoon of the election day.
As you know, this is New York, in a Democrat primary, anything can happen, you witnessed it so its legitimate according to our rules.
[ToloNews] Public uprisings against the Taliban ...Arabic for students... are expanding in various regions of Afghanistan as the Taliban continues to mount attacks against government forces.
In northern Jawzjan province, there are reports that women have taken up arms to fight the Taliban.
In Kohdman village in northern Kabul province, many armed residents filled the main road, pledging to fight the Taliban.
In Nangarhar The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country.. and Laghman ...Afghan province with a population of about 445,600, which is multi-ethnic and mostly a rural society. During the invasions of Alexander the Great, the area was known as Lampaka, wich is apparently Olde Macedonian for Laghman. The city of Mihtarlam serves as the bucolic capital of the province. The population is half Pashtun, the remainder Tadjik and Pashai. It had a repution for great wealth until it was conquered in the tenth century by Abu Mansur Sabuktigin.
He conquered it and set fire to the places in its vicinity which were inhabited by infidels, and demolishing the idol-temples, he established Islam in them, He marched and captured other cities and killed the polluted wretches, destroying the idolatrous and gratifying the Musulmans. After wounding and killing beyond all measure, his hands and those of his friends became cold in counting the value of the plundered property.
After that it was mostly notable for the production of dirt, rocks, and holy men... provinces in the east, the people have taken up arms to fight the Taliban, and also in the western province of Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... "At this point, the politics of bullying cannot rule, these gunnies say that they will not allow the Taliban to rule them and burn their gardens and fields as in the past," said Mir Naeem Haidari, deputy head of Kohdman council.
Paying tribute to the ANDSF, MP Hazrat Ali said: "I know that you face hard days, but I congratulate you because you are the winners."
"We pledge to the Ministry of Defense that we will defend against the enemy," said Ali Khan, a fighter with the public uprising forces.

[Post Millenial] John McAfee, the creator of McAfee antivirus, was found dead in his Barcelona prison cell, Reuters reports.
McAfee's death comes just hours after Spanish courts allowed for his extradition to the United States.
The death will likely be deemed a suicide. He was 75.
McAfee was set to face charges of tax evasion once back in the US.
McAfee was arrested in Barcelona in October 2020, and believed that he was being targeted by the IRS over his failed bid to run as leader of the Libertarian Party in 2020.

OK while everyone is piling on....
I have actually met him briefly back in the early 90's at the McAfee AV office near the Great America Theme park.
Then his son later on, who was on the N+I NOC Team years later.
Both good people.
Personally, I am not buying the suicide narrative in a foreign jail cell routine. It seems "accidents" to happen too frequently to Political opponents and those with INFO on such people.
Regarding the software.
I tested out McAfee AV Plus this year. $24.95 for a 5 user lic. YES it is more memory intensive than others and Yes it does more than most other AV app. Yes it needs too much user tuning for common uses and access issues.
But with that said, it has stopped some nasty things that other AV apps did not on identical OS test systems also.

Avast (Czech owned) "allegedly" collected user data with its browser plug-ins and antivirus software and then sold the collected data thru ?Jumpshot? a shell company.
CCLEAN owned by AVAST (Czech owned) "allegedly" did/does the same.

FLASHBACK November 3, 2016: John McAfee had written an oped criticizing the FBI regarding their handling of the Clinton email server investigation.
[OneIndia] In police custody, Mohammad Umar Gautam, a man who had converted from Hinduism to Islam boasted," I converted 1,000 non-Moslems to Islam by marrying them all to Moslems.
This point makes it very clear that marriages have been used as a tool for religious conversion. We witnessed a similar incident in Kerala where many women were married off and then lured into joining the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... . The issue is back in the news following the arrest of two persons who were indulging in religious conversions in UP and during their interrogation they said that they had lured Hindus with marriage, money and jobs.
Umar along with Mufti Qazi Jahangir Alam Qasm from Delhi's Jamia Nagar were arrested by the police for running an outfit involved in converting deaf and dumb students and other poor people to Islam in Uttar Pradesh with funding from the Pakistain's ISI. The arrests were made by Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad following the registration of an FIR in the case at Lucknow's ATS cop shoppe.
Recently the Allahabad High Court had said conversion only for marriage is unacceptable. The court made the observation while rejecting a petition filed by an inter-faith couple seeking directions to the police and the girl's father not to interfere in their married life.
While rejecting the petition the court said that the lady has converted her religion on June 29 2020 and solemnised the marriage on July 31. This clearly reveals that the conversion has taken place only for the sake of marriage.
A lady from Kerala had said that she had met a person called Mushabeer and fell in love with him.
However later on he began to pressurise her to convert to Islam. He also threatened to pour acid on her if she did not change her religion, she had also alleged.
Similar issues have come up before the Supreme Court ...the political football known as The Highest Court in the Land, home of penumbrae and emanations... and in the Rev Stanislaus vs Madhya Pradesh case, the question was whether the fundamental right to practice religion also included the right to convert. The court held in clear terms that while Article 25 does provide freedom of religion, it also went on to state the word propagate religion does not give the right to convert.
The word propagate has been used in Article 25(1) of the Indian Constitution, but that does not give the right to convert another person to one's own religion, but to transmit or spread one's religion by an exposition of its tenets.
The Bench also observed that while propagating religion was allowed, converting does not form part of fundamental rights. What the Article grants is not the right to convert another person to one's own religion, but to transmit or spread one's religion by an exposition of its tenets.
In the Sarla Mudgal case, the court had held that the religious conversion into Islam by a person from non-Islamic faith is not valid if the conversion is done for the purpose of polygamy.
In the Lily Thomas case it was observed that marrying another woman after converting to Islam is punishable under the bigamy laws.
In the Chandra Sekaran case the court had observed that a person does not ceases to be Hindu nearly because he declares that he has no faith in his religion.
The Law commission of India which was asked to look into the issue of forcible conversions made the following recommendations.
Within a month after the date of conversion, the converted person, if she/he chooses, can send a declaration to the officer in charge of registration of marriages in the concerned area.
The registering official shall exhibit a copy of the declaration on the Notice Board of the office till the date of confirmation.
The said declaration shall contain the requisite details viz., the particulars of the convert such as date of birth, permanent address, and the present place of residence, father's/husband's name, the religion to which the convert originally belonged and the religion to which he or she converted, the date and place of conversion and nature of the process gone through for conversion.
Within 21 days from the date of sending/filing the declaration, the converted individual can appear before the registering officer, establish her/his identity and confirm the contents of the declaration.
The registering officer shall record the factum of declaration and confirmation in a register maintained for this purpose. If any objections are notified, he may simply record them i.e., the name and particulars of objector and the nature of objection.
Certified copies of declaration, confirmation and the extracts from the register shall be furnished to the party who gave the declaration or the authorized legal representative, on request.
[OneIndia] A man who had converted from Hinduism to Islam boasted before the police that he had managed to convert over a 1,000 people to Islam by luring them with money, marriages and jobs.
I converted 1,000 non-Moslems to Islam by marrying them all to Moslems, Mohammad Umar Gautam boasted before the police.
Gautam lived in Batla House of Jamia Nagar, the infamous site of September 2008 encounter between the Special Cell of Delhi police and Indian Mujahideen A locally recruited auxilliary of Pakistain's Lashkar-e-Taiba, designed to give a domestic patina to Pakistain's terror war against its bigger neighbor... operatives, in which Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma was bumped off by terrorists, two of whom were rubbed out and two arrested, while two other had escaped. Kumar said Gautam, who is himself a convert to Islam from Hinduism, boasted to the police of having converted at least 1,000 people to Islam, luring them with marriage, money and jobs.
Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar said that during interrogation, Gautam boasted and said, " I converted at least 1,000 non-Moslems to Islam, marrying them all to Moslems."
The outfit that they ran is named Islamic Dawah Center, having access of funds from Pakistain's ISI and other foreign agencies, said Kumar. The ADGP said the ATS had been working on the case on the intelligence that some people were getting funds from ISI and other foreign agencies for converting poor people to Islam and spreading communal enmity in the society. The ATS probe has resulted in the duo's arrest, said Kumar, adding they have been booked on various charges including those under the Indian Penal Code and Uttar Pradesh's stringent anti-conversion law.
Investigation revealed that a particular school for hearing and speech impaired in Noida was also approached to entice them with promises of employment and money to get them converted to Islam.
When the children were approached by the police they were tight-lipped as these men had driven fear into them. The police learnt that the victims were radicalised and told that Islam is a better religion.
They were also lured with employment and money. The police say that there are more accused under the radar and are being tracked.

To be poor and at the mercy of the Indian society is a fate any organism will do anything to escape out if.
The moslems provide not only a home and the semblance of respect, but also community in which there is great security. There are approx 600 temples and 10 trusts in that area, which earn 100+ crore annually. They will not spend more than a few thousand on feeding the poor every week or so. At times they will conduct a stupid mass wedding exercise and wed anyone to anyone just for the media to see.
We treat our own like shit, depending on their castes and backgrounds, then we expect the other civilization living with us to not appeal to them. Some will take up islam just be fed two meals a day, because converts get to eat from their food stalls for free. Of course, poverty can never be removed, but the enormous wealth amassed by temples must be used for securing as many hindus as it can while the moslems wallow in their filth.
But you're right. There are idiots who can love moslems too, like that IAS girl whatshername. Then they get beaten up and rush to the cops to save them, or are found stabbed or shot to shit.
[NYPOST] Guardian Angels founder Curtis Sliwa cruised to a big victory as the Republican nominee for mayor, handily defeating rival Fernando Mateo following a feisty and entertaining primary fight, according to Board of Election returns released Tuesday night.
"Curtis won and we want to unite the Republican Party and we hope Fernando Mateo will join us," Sliwa senior campaign adviser Rob Cole told The Post.
It was a rout.
Sliwa captured 68.8 percent or 34,758 of the Republican votes to 27 percent or 13,655 votes for Mateo, a restaurateur who advocates for bodega owners and taxi drivers.
More than 95 percent of the precincts were reporting.
A victorious Sliwa stepped up to the podium at the Empire Steakhouse in Midtown to chants of "Curtis! Curtis!" surrounded by former Mayor Rudy Giuliani and supermarket mogul and 77 WABC owner John Catsimatidis.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have just won the Republican Party in an overwhelming way," Sliwa said.
"It was a long period of time that took going door to door, street by street, subway station by subway station, and spreading the word. It could never have happened had it not been for John and Margo Catsimatidis. And to Rudy Giuliani, who endorsed me along with other major Republicans all over this city," he said.

BUT! here we have the #1 source of FACTS on the mRNA C-19-21E Vax and the Boob-Tube censors remove the video?????
So should Boob-Tube:
Fire a few bias reviewers?
Or justify its actions with its own AMA certified VAX expert?
Or should it allow the mRNA Expert to openly and factually state there are problem now and long term issues yet to be determined how bad and deep?

It stayed low for two more weeks and then slowly and raggedly went back to ~65 BPM. My two neighbors and a friend have passed shortly after their jabs.
[Washington Gazette] The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of free speech rights for students outside of the classroom in a decision Wednesday.
The court sided with former Mahanoy Area High School student and cheerleader Brandi Levy in the case, formally known as Mahanoy Area School District v B.L., with a 8-1 decision in her favor. Mahanoy Area High School is located in Pennsylvania.
Levy, upset that she had not made her school’s varsity cheer team, posted on the social media site Snapchat a simple message with explicit language expressing her frustration.
The message was captured by a classmate and was eventually presented to school officials, who decided to suspend Levy from the junior varsity cheer team for a year.
The high court found the school violated Levy’s First Amendment right to freedom of speech since her comments took place outside of school hours and off school grounds.
Justice Stephen Breyer wrote the majority opinion. He was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Samuel Alito, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett.
In the opinion, Breyer discussed the school’s overreach of power by punishing Levy for comments which had little effect on the school itself. He also addressed the importance of protecting vulgar language when it does not have a specific negative effect on the school community.
“It might be tempting to dismiss B. L.’s words as unworthy of the robust First Amendment protections discussed herein,” Breyer said. “But sometimes it is necessary to protect the superfluous in order to preserve the necessary.”
Breyer also made clear that although the court reached the same conclusion as the third circuit court’s findings, its reasoning differs significantly.
Alito wrote a concurring opinion, joined by Gorsuch, in which he explains it is beyond the jurisdiction of the school to punish students outside of the classroom, even if the speech would not be protected while on school grounds or at school sponsored events.
“There are parents who would not have been pleased with B. L.’s language and gesture, but whatever B. L.’s parents thought about what she did, it is not reasonable to infer that they gave the school the authority to regulate her choice of language when she was off school premises and not engaged in any school activity,” said Alito.
The lone dissent came from Justice Clarence Thomas, who argued precedent as it came to the school’s authority of loco parentis, or in the place of a parent, does not support the majority opinion. He also argued that the opinion failed to show why this situation would cause a break in precedent.
“The majority fails to consider whether schools often will have more authority, not less, to discipline students who transmit speech through social media,” said Thomas. “Because off-campus speech made through social media can be received on campus (and can spread rapidly to countless people), it often will have a greater proximate tendency to harm the school environment than will an off-campus in-person conversation.”
The American Civil Liberties Union argued for Levy in this case.

MIX FEELINGS
While the little whiny brat has a right to say what she wants off school grounds. The school also has a right to protect its public image and limit the little whiny brats association with, and representation of the school.
But lets us take this to the next level.
Say YOU own a Small shop.
You hire a teenager to stock the shelves that turns out to be a whiny pain in the A$$. That whiny brat makes a video slamming you and your shop while he still working there.

Given the horrendous job the public gummint schools do, anything that limits their authority is A-OK with me.

NN2N1, no, the school absolutely does not have a right to limit any child's expression of dissatisfaction with their institution, regardless of how bad it makes them look, especially when they are expressing their thoughts entirely off-campus and through non-school sponsored activities. And as for your example of firing somebody who speaks badly about your business -- totally different context. First of all, your employees aren't LEGALLY REQUIRED to attend your place of employment (something that seems to escape everybody's attention when they call for limiting children's freedom of speech relating to government schools). Second of all, you have a vested profit motive in making sure that your institution remains in the good graces of the public. Frankly, public schools don't, considering that they're funded by involuntary taxation.
There's a raging elephant in the room smashing windows, beating people up, issuing death threats and encouraging anarchy and violence throughout the city. Maybe start there and then take a good long look in the mirror to consider the part that you, the media, play.

News # 2: A BBC journalist aboard a British vessel confirmed that the ship deliberately entered Russian territorial waters. He also noted that "about 20" Russian planes flew over the ship and that he heard warning shots. "
"London has lost its manners. I would like to advise British partners: next time you want to 'peacefully enter', knock," the Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman concluded.
At the same time, Zakharova notes, the British Embassy denies the fact of opening fire on the destroyer and claims that the Defender "made a peaceful passage through the territorial waters of Ukraine in accordance with international law", calling the description of these events by the Russian side "inaccurate."
"Who is lying: the British Ministry of Defense, the British journalist of the BBC TV channel, or the British embassy in Moscow?" , Maria Zakharova wrote.
As reported by IA REGNUM , the British Navy destroyer URO "Defender" crossed the state border of the Russian Federation in the Black Sea and entered the territorial waters of the Russian Federation in the area of the Crimean Cape Fiolent for three kilometers.
Russian border guards opened warning fire on the ship's course, and the Su-24 bomber made a demonstrative drop of bombs.
After that, the British destroyer relieved the Russian territorial waters of its presence.
[OneIndia] The National Investigation Agency has made more arrests in the case relating to the killing of Comrade Balwinder Singh Sandhu, a Shaurya Chakra awardee.
Harbinder Singh and Navpreet Singh, both gunnies of the Khalistan Liberation Force
...Khalistan is the idea of an independent Sikh homeland in the Indian Punjab. The local troublemakers are financed by the Sikh diaspora — who love the idea of the folks they left behind murdering their neighbours before dying romantically for a hopeless idea — with training and additional funding from Pakistan’s ISI as yet another arrow in their quiver aimed at the Indian throat. The Khalistan Liberation Force, like Antifa, is the umbrella for a bunch of Sikh groups that have engaged in “armed struggle” against India since the 1980s...
were arrested by the NIA. The probe by the NIA revealed that both are close aides of Inderjit Singh, who had conducted the reconnaissance of the target. Both played an active role in the liquidation of Sandhu, the NIA. Also said.
Shaurya Chakra awardee Comrade Balwinder Singh Sandhu was rubbed out by two faceless myrmidons in the early hours of October 10 2020 at the residence-cum-school run by him in Bhikiwind, District TarnTaran, Punjab. The assailants then escaped on a bike, following which a case was registered by the Punjab 1.) Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2.) A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3.) A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots.... police.
Investigation has revealed that the execution was undertaken with an intention of striking terror in the minds of the people and especially those opposed to Khalistan ideology. The transnational conspiracy in the instant case was hatched by Pakistain based self styled chief of the KLF, Lakbhir Singh Rode.
Further a well oiled terrorist-narcotics-criminal nexus worked together and ensured that arms were smuggled into India from Pakistain through the International Border. It was also found that narcotics had been smuggled in as well and the proceeds of the same were used to execute the conspiracy.
The foreign based KLF leadership had recruited, financed and armed a local gangster Sukhmeet Pak and tasked him to execute the killings through his associates. The NIA said that after the killing of Harmeet Singh alias Happy alias PHD, Sukh Bikhariwal was ordered by Rode to kill Comrade Singh. The reconnaissance of the target was carried out by Inderjeet Singh and sharp-shooters Gurjit Singh and Sukhdeep Singh.
[DJHJMedia] Stacey Abrams has found it to be extremely profitable to supply temporary workers for election in Fulton County elections. She owns a temporary agency, Happy Faces, that supplies the people who counted the votes in Fulton County, Georgia. How confident would you be in an election where Abrams decides who counts the votes? Sure, there is no conflict of interest there. And she got rich doing it.
From The Gateway Pundit
Evidence presented at this morning’s public meeting of the Fulton County Commission shows former Democrat gubernatorial candidate and State Rep Stacey Abrams controlled and financed the main contractor used in Fulton County elections during the Nov 3rd poll and the Jan 5th U.S. Senate runoff.
Evidence showed direct financial underwriting of the staffing service Happy Faces Personnel Group, by groups controlled by Abrams. In other words, a highly partisan Democrat political operative controlled the elections in Fulton County, which also involved a Nigerian national.
And make money, she did. She provided temps for elections in Georgia amounting to $3,198,798.04! She also somehow managed to receive two Paycheck Protection Program Loans (PPE):

/\ Two things make this ole world go around.... and the other one is money. Something tells me neither Kemp or Raffensperger view Abrams as a sexual trophy. Of course, I could again be wrong.
[KhaamaPress] According to an Afghan provincial official and an army officer, the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... have taken control of Sherkhan port, Afghanistan’s main border crossing with Tajikistan, with some security officers leaving their outposts and fleeing across the border.
Kunduz provincial council member stated that after an hour of fighting the Taliban captured Shir Khan port and the town and all the border check posts with Tajikistan, the Taliban’s most major conquest is the capture of Shir Khan Bandar as it is a significant trade and transit point between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, he said.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, confirmed that the hard boyz have taken control of the border crossing over the Panj River.
Officials reported on Wednesday that at least 134 Afghan troops escaping a Taliban onslaught had crossed the border and found sanctuary in Tajikistan. The situation is intense as a result of the Taliban’s offensive on the Shir Khan border, according to a statement from Tajikistan’s State Committee for National Security.
The statement further added that the Afghan soldiers were not denied entry as a result of upholding and complying with "principles of humanity and neighborliness".
[AlAhram] A further two billion euros is still set to be disbursed in the coming years under that agreement
Brussels is pushing to provide 5.7 billion euros ($6.8 billion) of fresh support to help The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... and other countries around Syria host refugees from their neighbour's civil war, according to a proposal seen Wednesday.
Under the European Commission plan, 3.5 billion euros would be provided to Turkey from 2021 to 2024 and the remaining 2.2 billion would go mainly to Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Trust them on that... and Jordan.
The proposal -- expected to be presented to EU leaders at a summit on Thursday -- comes as part of the bloc's push to improve ties with Turkey after a spike in tensions last year in the Eastern Mediterranean.
The additional funding is seen as a key incentive to Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important... to stick to efforts aimed at tackling long-running disputes with Greece and cease controversial gas exploration in the waters around Cyprus.
Turkey currently hosts some 3.7 million refugees from the conflict in Syria and has been used by the EU as a bulwark to help stem the flow of migrants colonists into Europe.
Brussels and Ankara struck a deal in 2016 that has seen the bloc give four billion euros so far to Turkey to help it host the refugees in return for preventing crossings and accepting back arrivals from Greece.
Erdogan has long demanded more assistance to deal with the refugees and has previously threatened to open Turkey's border if the EU does not stump up additional funds.
The new EU proposal says its future assistance "will gradually move from humanitarian priorities to socio-economic support and development" for refugees who need to build lives in Syria's neighbouring countries after over a decade of war at home.
The plan for the new funding is part of a range of enticements that the bloc is using to try to keep Erdogan on side, with Brussels also offering to modernise a customs union with Turkey and start high-level talks on issues from health to security.

Meanwhile, ...back at the abandoned silver mine, a triangular dorsal fin appeared in the water. Then another... sources confirm that eight district centers have fallen into Taliban control in the past 24 hours: Five districts (Said Karam, Ahmad Aba, Rohani Baba, Jani Khel and Dand-e Patan) in Paktia province, Khenjan in Baghlan, Shamalzai in Zabul and Khash in Badakhshan.
Meanwhile, ...back at the abandoned silver mine, a triangular dorsal fin appeared in the water. Then another... footage on social media shows the Taliban claiming to have taken over Sher Khan Bandar port in the Imam Sahib district of Kunduz province.
The Afghan Ministry of Interior (MoI), however, has said that the Taliban’s recent military advance is temporary, and they will be pushed back soon by security forces.
"How have they gotten this much strength within a month's time and moved toward Mazar-e-Sharif, toward Faryab and Takhar? This is propaganda, it is a temporary thing, even the Taliban themselves do not believe that they have reached these regions," said Naqibullah Fayeq, deputy minister of interior for security and strategy.
Meanwhile, ...back at the abandoned silver mine, a triangular dorsal fin appeared in the water. Then another... Tajikistan’s media reported that over 130 Afghan border police who were deployed in Sher Khan Bandar port have fled to Tajikistan after facing Taliban attacks.
Security authorities in Kunduz province have said that the security forces are determined to retake lost territories from the Taliban.
"Our security forces show a strong spirit to resist, and have the courage to retake the district. God willing, we assure you that the enemy will never be able to takeover Ali Abad district," said Mohammad Haikal, Ali Abad district governor.
"We retook Ali Abad region, we are now ready to move toward Khan Abad," said Mohammad Omar Pakhsaparan, Aqtash district governor in Kunduz.
There are also reports that the Taliban has taken over Khash district.
In the past 48 hours, the Taliban also attacked Ab Band district in Ghazni and managed to take over a security checkpoint.
The Afghan government on Tuesday said that the Afghan National Security and Defense Forces (ANDSF) recaptured three strategic districts from the Taliban: Balkh district in Balkh, Dushi district in Baghlan and Ali Abad district in Kunduz.

[ToloNews] Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at the 9th Moscow Conference on International Security said on Wednesday that the Western alliance has failed to stabilize the situation in Afghanistan.
"It must be admitted that over 20 years of stay in Afghanistan, a significant military contingent of the Western alliance has failed to achieve significant results in stabilizing the situation in the country and forming sustainable public administration structures," Shoigu said, according to Russia’s RIA Novosti news agency.
"There was high probability that after the withdrawal of NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... forces [from Afghanistan] a civil war would resume in the country with all negative consequences: further deterioration in the life of the population; mass migration; and the spread of extremism to neighboring countries," he said.
In the meantime, the deterioration of the situation in Afghanistan amid the withdrawal of foreign forces causes ever growing concerns, Russian Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Anna Yevstigneyeva said during the UN Security Council meeting on Afghanistan Tuesday, TASS News agency reported.
"Just like twenty years ago, the terrorist threat remains a serious challenge in Afghanistan," she said, adding that the "situation with drug production and drug trafficking" also causes concerns.
"In this regard, we note with regret that the grinding of the peace processor has stalled. We see that attempts to organize an international meeting were unsuccessful," the Russian envoy said. According to Yevstigneyeva," the success depends on the scrupulous work (of) all sides."
Also, the UN envoy in Afghanistan Deborah Lyons in a briefing to the United Nations ...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks... Security Council said the recent "intensive military campaign" by the Taliban ...Arabic for students... will lead to continued violence in the country, and she reiterated that any attempt to install a government in Kabul by force will go against everyone’s interest.
She said that the Taliban’s recent advances are even more significant and are the result of an intensified military campaign. More than 50 of Afghanistan’s 370 districts have fallen since the beginning of May, she said.
Most districts that have fallen are adjacent to placid provincial capitals, suggesting that the Taliban are positioning themselves to try and take these capitals once foreign forces are fully withdrawn, she noted.
From TFA:
[CCDI] Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and State Supervision Commission website Li Jinhang
On May 21, 1931, the Party Central Committee issued Notice No. 2, 2 and 3, announcing that the traitor Gu Shunzhang would be expelled from the party forever, and called on all comrades in the party to fight against all traitors.
Gu Shunzhang was one of the early leaders of the Chinese Communist Party. In 1924, he joined the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions and joined the Communist Party of China. In 1926, he was selected by the party organization to study political defense in the Soviet Union. Before the rebellion, Gu Shunzhang had been an alternate member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and the head of Teko. It can be said that he is responsible for the security of the entire Party Central Committee.
In April 1931, Gu Shunzhang escorted Zhang Guotao and Chen Changhao to the Hubei, Henan and Anhui revolutionary base areas. When they returned to Wuhan, they were identified and arrested by traitors, and then they defected. He confessed to the party's underground transportation agency in Wuhan and the office of the Red Second Army in Wuhan, resulting in more than 10 people being arrested and sacrificed. Then he asked to meet with Chiang Kai-shek and betrayed the CCP Central Committee's agencies and main leaders in Shanghai. In view of the bad influence of Gu Shunzhang's mutiny on the party, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China issued a special notice No. 22 and 3. The following is the original text:
Central Notice No. 2-3
——Always expel the traitor Gu Shunzhang from the party and call for it
All comrades in the party fight against all traitors
(May 21, 1931)
In the past, Gu Shunzhang (formerly known as Gu Fengming, also known as Liming or Zhang Hua), one of the central leaders, was recently arrested in Hankou and immediately surrendered to the executioner Kuomintang warlord of the Chinese workers and peasants. He confessed to many of our party's organs in Wuhan, and shot the soldiers in prison who he knew, and even framed many workers and peasants in order to claim credit. He is now at the Nanjing General Headquarters with Chiang Kai-shek and other executioners, planning how to destroy our institutions and massacre our comrades on a large scale throughout China, especially in Shanghai. We think this is a stain in the history of the Chinese Communist Party and the most shameful traitor. The central government decided to expel Gu Shunzhang from the party forever, and called on all party comrades to tighten our work among the masses, tighten our organization, pay more attention to our secret work, and implement the struggle on the two fronts more resolutely and unite. Eliminate Gu Shunzhang, the enemy of the Chinese workers and peasants, and all communist traitors! At the same time, the Central Committee firmly believes that as long as all comrades in the party step up their efforts in mass work, under the great power of the revolutionary masses, they will surely be able to quickly eliminate Gu Shunzhang and all revolutionary traitors. Organized revolutionary enemies such as the AB regiment in Jiangxi and the Social Democratic Party in Fujian have been severely hit under the might of the broad masses under the leadership of the party. This is a good example. The firm belief of the class and the might of the masses are our most powerful guarantee for eliminating Gu Shunzhang and all revolutionary traitors.
After Gu Shunzhang surrendered to the enemy, he soon lost its value for use, and was arrested and detained shortly thereafter. In June 1935, 31-year-old Gu Shunzhang was secretly executed and died in Suzhou Prison.
During the various periods of the Chinese revolution, construction, and reforms, the Communist Party of China’s oath to join the party changed several times, but as an iron discipline, "never rebel against the party" has been retained. It is not only an oath, but also the political bottom line of the Communists . Those who adhere to it, such as Fang Zhimin and Zhao Yiman, who regard death as home, are not afraid of risk and dare to fight, and trade their lives for national independence and people's liberation; those who trample on it, such as Gu Shunzhang and others, go to the opposite of the party and the people and betray. The soul, the end is bleak.
"A word can't be practiced, and thousands of people are empty." Our party has gone through a hundred years of glorious history, and has experienced countless hardships and tribulations, relying on the loyalty of thousands of party members. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core has insisted that the Party must manage the Party and govern the Party strictly. General Secretary Xi Jinping has taught the Communist Party members many times, emphasizing loyalty to the party and never betraying the party, which is the basic requirement of the party constitution for party members. Party members and cadres must always keep in mind the oath of "never rebel against the party", firmly establish the awareness of party members, and be consistent with the party at all times, unwavering, and unswerving throughout their lives.
It reminds me of my Asia, South Asia History Courses at university. Its all playing out again, but with different names and different goal, but Wuhan** is still the major player, even today.
**Wuhan is the capital of Hubei Province in the People's Republic of China. It is the largest city in Hubei and the most populous city in Central China, with a population of over eleven million, the ninth-most populous Chinese city and one of the nine National Central Cities of China.
To compare, name the 9 top cities in Russia or EU- Europe, or North America... then you will know what Wuhan really is...a major player in modern Chinese history.

At the same time, Babur Farahmand, a vice-chairman to HNCR has criticized the delegation composition, claiming that being no Uzbek and Hazara ...a grouping of Dari-speaking people of Sino-Tibetan descent inhabiting Afghanistan and Pakistain. They are predominantly Shia Moslems and not particularly warlike, which makes them favored targets... leaders are in the team, shows the delegation is not inclusive and does not represent the whole Afghan nation.
The White House announced on June 20th that the U.S President, Joe Biden would like to welcome the Afghan leaders Mohammad Ashraf Ghani and Dr. Abdullah Abdullah in Washington on June 25.
According to the statement by the White House, the U.S president will discuss America’s support to Afghanistan and the ongoing grinding of the peace processor with the Afghan leaders.
This comes as the U.S and NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A cautionary tale of cost-benefit analysis.... troops are scheduled to withdraw from Afghanistan by Sep 11, on the twentieth anniversary of U.S presence in Afghanistan.
Every time gun control devolves into taunts about men with rifles against a government with jet fighters and nukes, I explain that Chechens fought the Russian Army to a standstill, twice.
And history, recent history, is replete with similar examples of men with guns fighting a modern military to a standstill.

Arrogantly the usurper president speaks, as if throwing down 👇 the gauntlet to 'We the People'...
"Come get us"...he says... fight us with your military...
Really... Tell us where any other president in American history, challenged his nation, his people, to fight the government with their military weapons...

Some years back, there was an article in the local paper about how, based on the number of permits sold, Michigan deer hunters were the 5th largest army in the world. Deer hunters - guys whose hobby is lurking unseen in the woods, shooting man-sized animals who have no idea they are there.

The expected words from someone who comes to power in a putsch. They think they've taken everything because they own the election machinery and feds. History tells us these things are only strong until a population decides to put up with a constitution. The day they realize it doesn't mean jack shit anymore...
As for fighting in urban environments, unless the Leftist Government is willing to raze its own substructures of power, paint themselves the scum of the earth, it will be Ceaușescu-ed with hunting rifles, baseball bats and dynamite. If inbred pashtuns with 80s gear and low tech tactics can force the American military to the arm-wrestling tables, I have much greater faith in Bubba with his S&W3000 and Todd with his military XP.
What's more, the deepState itself will prevent the crazy Left leadership once a physical clash begins to ramp up.
A considerable use of militant force could actually bring the real deepState to its senses and force it to negotiate terms, cutting out the Dems and entrenched globalists. Not to mention, erect a real checks & balances edifice more in character with the ideal of a Republic. For bureaucrats and professional pols, after all everything is about money and the perpetuation of power to make money, right? Only some elitist loons in the Democrat party and a black marxist minority believe it's about re-making America. Cut them out and they're insignificant. Tie them off later, with the blessing of Washington 2.0 and consolidate control as a majoritarian Republic.

We've been in Afghanistan for 20 years now. The Taliban doesn't have F15s or nukes. Guess who looks like the winner. It's right there in front of everyone's face but the Left is absolutely blind to it.
Meanwhile back at the base, most of the personnel these days live off post. Got to ask yourself, why the Mexican cops are so ineffective against the cartels. Cause the cartels know where they and their families live.

^ We don't have to look as far as Afghanistan. The gangs in Chicago don't have nukes or F-15's, but do have thousands of members, use guns routinely, and have yet to be suppressed by the authorities. If Biden wants gun control, let's see him start small: disarm the Vice Lords.

[AlAhram] Before adjourning for summer recess the House of Representatives will discuss a draft law that aims to rid murderous Moslems from government employ
According to Ibrahim al-Heneidi, chair of the House of Representatives’ Legislative and Constitutional Affairs Committee, a new draft law aims to facilitate the dismissal of civil servants who support the terrorist-designated Moslem Brüderbund. "The draft law, submitted by MP Ali Badr, was overwhelmingly approved by the House’s Legislative and Constitutional Affairs Committee and reflects the government’s keenness to rid the administrative system of Moslem Brüderbund and terrorist elements," said al-Heneidi.
Al-Heneidi says the draft, which seeks to amend the Law on Non-Disciplinary Dismissal of Civil Servants (10/1972), will strengthen national security.
Badr told the Legislative and Constitutional Affairs Committee on 6 June that there is a pressing need to combat terrorist elements within the state’s administrative system. "Cabinet ministers have lately complained in parliament that they lack the legal tools to rid their ministries of employees espousing terrorist thoughts and ideologies," said Badr. "The new draft law will allow cabinet ministers to dismiss employees with proven links to the Moslem Brüderbund and other terrorist-designated groups."
The draft law allows employees to appeal against their dismissal and return to their jobs if their names are removed from the relevant terrorist lists.
Last month Minister of Transport Kamel al-Wazir told MPs that the Railway Authority has 162 Moslem Brüderbund-affiliated employees who consistently undermine the authority’s work and urged MPs to change the law to allow the Railway Authority to rid itself of "the forces of darkness and evil".
Minister of Waqf (Religious Endowments) Mohammed Mokhtar Gomaa also told the media last week that "there are a lot of sleeper Moslem Brüderbund cells in government ministries."
"The Brotherhood leadership spends a great deal on these cells to promote its agenda in government circles and stir up trouble," claimed Gomaa.
Independent MP Mustafa Bakri warned that the draft law might be unconstitutional.
"I think we need an independent judicial committee to judge whether this draft law is constitutional," said Bakri. "It is difficult to determine who is a member of the Moslem Brüderbund and who is not, and there are concerns that the law could lead to the dismissal of civil servants for arbitrary reasons."
In response, Deputy Justice Minister Ibrahim Shaarawi pointed out that the draft "allows state employees to appeal any dismissal decision before the administrative courts and in doing so is fully in line with the constitution".
Atef Meghawri, head of the parliamentary group of the Tagammu Party, told al-Ahram Weekly that in its current form of the 1972 Civil Service Law makes it difficult to dismiss state employees who espouse radical ideologies.
"There is a pressing need to change this law after turban and terrorist groups were able to infiltrate government circles in recent years, mostly in the form of sleeper cells," said Meghawri.
"When the Moslem Brüderbund was in power between 2012 and 2013 its members spread in all government sectors. It is essential MPs move quickly to help cabinet ministers dismiss elements with suspected links to the Brotherhood or to any other terrorist-designated group."
Their Deep State is uglier than our deep state.
Meghawri argued the bill drafted by Badr and approved by the House’s Legislative and Constitutional Affairs Committee is covered by Article 237 of the 2014 constitution which stipulates the state must "combat all forms of terrorism and track its sources of funding".
MP Essam Alaa told the Weekly the move against the Moslem Brüderbund came after cabinet ministers discovered that some babus government employees were using their jobs to promote the group’s agenda.
"The current civil service law prohibits state employees from using their jobs to serve radical agendas or publish confidential information on social media but in recent years employees have ignored the prohibitions. It was important that the law be amended to fight this phenomenon, and protect the state from the Moslem Brüderbund’s wicked plans," said Alaa.
