Roe v Wade: Done deal.
Decision was just handed down. Roe v Wade is overturned.
The Wall Street Journal is liveblogging the 6-3 decision. Some articles paywalled — try dropping the headlines into the Google search app to read.

Supreme Court overturns constitutional right to abortion

[SCOTUSBLOG] The Supreme Court on Friday eliminated the constitutional right to obtain an abortion, casting aside 49 years of precedent that began with Roe v. Wade.

The 6-3 decision by Justice Samuel Alito will set off a seismic shift in reproductive rights across the United States. It will allow states to ban abortion, and experts expect about half the states to do so.

In one of the most anticipated rulings in decades, the court overturned Roe, which first declared a constitutional right to abortion in 1973, and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, which re-affirmed that right in 1992. The decision followed the leak in early May of a draft opinion showing that a majority of the justices were privately poised to take that step. On Friday, they made it official.

The decision came in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, a challenge to a Mississippi law, passed in 2018, that bans virtually all abortions after the 15th week of pregnancy. The law carves out exceptions for medical emergencies and cases involving a "severe fetal abnormality" but does not make exceptions for cases involving rape or incest. It has never gone into effect, however, because the lower courts — including the conservative U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit — blocked the state from enforcing the law. [fill in day of week, possessive] decision reversed those rulings and upheld the law.

But by overturning Roe and Casey, the decision also opens the door for states to enact far more dramatic abortion restrictions, including outright bans on the procedure. Mississippi itself has indicated that it will enforce a different state law, passed in 2007, that prohibits virtually all abortions, except to save the life of the mother or in cases involving rape. A dozen other states have passed similar legislation, known as "trigger laws" because they were drafted to go into effect if Roe and Casey were overturned. An analysis by the Guttmacher Institute predicts that 26 states are likely to ban all or nearly all abortions. Four Important Supreme Court Opinions Still to Come

Kennedy v. Bremerton School District

A school district in Washington state says a high-school football coach was improperly using his public employment to promote his religion by kneeling in silent prayer on the 50-yard line after games, with some players coming over to join him. The former coach, Joe Kennedy, said his actions amounted to a protected act of private speech because he played no favorites with the students who participated in the prayer circle.

Biden v. Texas

In this case, the Supreme Court will rule on whether the Biden administration can be compelled to maintain the Trump administration’s Remain in Mexico program, which denied entry to asylum applicants from Central America while their cases were being processed. The Biden administration said the law exposed asylum applicants to unsafe conditions, and that it was pursuing other measures to ease the burden on the immigration system; Missouri and Texas said the government was obliged either to deny entry to these applicants or imprison them within the U.S. until their claims were resolved.

West Virginia v. Environmental Protection Agency

A coalition of Republican-leaning states and small coal producers argue that EPA’s power to combat greenhouse gases is limited to measures within the fence lines of specific power plants, excluding broader measures the agency says are more effective. The case, argued in February, could lead to new limits on the executive branch’s regulatory power.

Oklahoma v. Castro-Huerta

Oklahoma argues it retains concurrent authority on Indian reservations with the federal government to prosecute nontribal citizens even when a crime’s victim is Native American, seeking to reverse one consequence of the Supreme Court’s 2020 decision recognizing nearly half of the state as Indian country. That decision transferred many criminal cases from state courts to federal jurisdiction. Should the court agree with Oklahoma, other states with Indian reservations could find themselves with authority for prosecuting crimes over swaths of territory that for generations have been the U.S. Justice Department’s sole responsibility.

Government Corruption
One of the 'second order effects' of illegal immigration - increases in property taxes for new schools
[WashingtonOfficeOfTheSuperintendent] Immigrant Student’s Rights to Attend Public Schools

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in Plyler vs. Doe (457 U.S. 202 (1982)) that undocumented children and young adults have the same right to attend public primary and secondary schools as do U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Like other children, undocumented students are obliged under state law to attend school until they reach a mandated age. As a result of the Plyler ruling, public schools may not:

1. Deny admission to a student during initial enrollment or at any other time on the basis of undocumented status.

2. Treat a student differently to determine residency.

3. Engage in any practices to "chill" the right of access to school.

4. Require students or parents to disclose or document their immigration status.

5. Make inquiries of students or parents that may expose their undocumented status.

6. Require social security numbers from all students, as this may expose undocumented status. (Adults without social security numbers who are applying for a free lunch and/or breakfast program on behalf of a student need only indicate on the application that they do not have a social security number.)

A school district may not request a student's or parent's social security number unless it (1) informs the individual that disclosure is voluntary, (2) provides the statutory or other legal basis for why the district is requesting the number, and (3) explains how the district will use the number.

Districts are strongly discouraged from requesting social security numbers to avoid any chilling effect that this request may have on the enrollment of students because of their race, color, national origin, citizenship, or immigration status.

Changes in the F-1 (Student) Visa Program do not alter the Plyler obligations to undocumented children. These changes apply only to students who apply for a student visa from outside the U.S.

Finally, school personnel -- especially building principals and those involved with student intake activities -- should be aware that they have no legal obligation to enforce U.S. immigration laws. (U.S. Supreme Court, 1982)

'Calm Down': WaPo Columnist Tells Americans Concerned About Inflation to 'Back Off'
[Townhall] A Washington Post finance columnist said to MSNBC on Wednesday while prices are higher today for commonly purchased items, there are people who are able to absorb the costs and they should stop complaining about it.

Michelle Singletary said the Americans who did well during the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdowns should take a seat because there other Americans who might have to skip meals because of inflation. President Joe Biden has attempted to blame the historically high inflation rates on Russia's invasion of Ukraine but the rates were on the rise well before the war that started in late February.

"You know, I’m just going to say this...There’s a great deal of Americans where it is uncomfortable that they’re spending more, but they are not going to go under. You know, you got to stop complaining when there’s so many people who literally the inflation rate means they may only have two meals instead of three. There are Americans who did extremely well in the last two years in the market. You still have your job. And yeah, it’s costing you more for gas, but guess what, you’re still going to take that Fourth of July vacation. So I’m going to need you to calm down and back off," she said.

"It feeds into this fear and people making decisions that create the very thing they’re fearful of. And you’re in that category, calm down. Stop looking at your portfolio," Singletary added. "You know what you can do with that energy? Help people, put food on the table of somebody else’s house because you have extra."

#3  'Uncomfortable'? Uncomfortable isn't the problem. Unnecessary is the issue with some 4 centuries of oil and gas reserves under our feet. Of course that's given current and projected usage and current extraction technology.

Everything you eat, wear, touch, hold or utilize with your hands is delivered because of diesel.

#5  Yeah, DEF will indeed be a big problem Dale. It has increased exponentially more than diesel itself as it is becoming harder to supply.

And the diesel vehicles we make here in the states for export usually don't have the DEF requirements (or 'limp switch').

#6  In 2016 we were told the World had 1,650,585,140,000 (1.650T) Barrels of Oil in reserves. Or, about 47 years according to several sources.

However, new oil deposit discoveries have increased that amount several years more since 2016.

Of course, the US Oil Production vs. Consumption means about 39.79% of our oil is imported.

OH! But in case you missed it, the US still EXPORTS 4% of its produced oil.

NOTE: STRANGE tho, the EIA Shale Oil data tells us we lost 35% of Shale Reserves in 1 year?????

NIA arrests accused in TRF conspiracy case

...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....

Reversal of Fata merger impossible: Sanaullah
[Dawn] Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Thursday said there was no possibility of discussion with the proscribed Tehrik-e-Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
Pakistain (TTP) on the withdrawal of the military from tribal areas near the Afghan border, and reversal of the Fata merger, explaining that such demands were against the Constitution.

The National Assembly had on May 24, 2018 passed a constitutional amendment, paving the way for the merger of the region formally known as the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) with Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

In an interview for the Samaa TV programme Nadeem Malik Live, Sanaullah said the talks were possible with those willing to surrender arms.

When asked about the strength of the TTP fighters, the minister said the "TTP fighting force" comprised 4,000 to 5,000 members.

"The names associated with the APS (Army Public School) incident can never be considered for a pardon," he explained.

He said that it was to be seen "what kind of people" would take part in the talks from the other side. If representatives of the political government in Afghanistan are in attendance, then politicians from our side will also participate in the discussion, he added.

The minister said he did not believe the outcome of the talks would be visible in weeks. "It will take some months," he said.

Sanaullah insisted that the civil and military leadership were on the same page that the TTP bandidos forces of Evil would not be allowed to take up arms. "Otherwise, we won't shy away from the fight".

"The military leadership assured us that we have the capacity and the power to sort these issues out effectively," the minister added.

He said the involvement of foreign elements could not be ruled out in terror attacks in Pakistain, saying there were some forces behind the TTP that did not want peace in the country.

The minister said that a security briefing given yesterday was "comprehensive" and covered all aspects of the issue but there were no "suggestive measures" in it.

Sanaullah said that guidance was sought from the parliamentary committee, and the politicians were told about the "repercussions" of different actions.

"The committee, in the presence of the prime minister to Asif Ali Ten Percent Zardari
...former president of Pakistain, husband of the late Benazir Bhutto, who has been singularly lacking in curiosity about who done her in...
and all parties including the ANP and the MQM, had a consensus that talks [with the TTP] should be held," the minister revealed.

He reiterated that there was another consensus on holding talks under the framework of the Constitution.

Parliament’s imprimatur
[Dawn] IT may be a given that the country’s security establishment would take the lead in talks with the banned TTP, but it was important that this hugely consequential issue be part of a more inclusive process. And that is the direction in which matters at last seem to be moving.

On Wednesday, the military top brass in a briefing to the politicianship held out the assurance that no extra-constitutional concessions would be given to the holy warriors and any deal arrived at would be subject to parliamentary approval.

The meeting, the first of its kind since the coalition government came to power, was arranged after the PPP protested that the civilian leadership was being sidelined in the ongoing negotiations. It goes to show that it is worth demanding a seat at the table, instead of being resigned to irrelevance.

The implications of ’mainstreaming’ holy warriors are far-reaching and must be discussed threadbare by the people’s representatives, for they would be in the hot seat if things do not go as planned. The imprimatur of parliament is essential.

In the interest of inclusivity, the coalition should have also invited the PTI leadership. At the very least, the presence of KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan should have been sought at the briefing.

One of the TTP’s demands is a rollback of Fata’s merger with KP, but they have been told there can be no reversal of the move that was effected through a constitutional amendment. Their other demands, indicated the military officials at Wednesday’s meeting, are under consideration.

As matters stand, an indefinite ceasefire between the government and the TTP was announced last month with negotiations set to continue, and an in-camera parliament session is to be convened to bring politicians into the loop. But there is a long way to go before any resolution can be arrived at.

A number of thorny issues need to be ironed out, not the least of which is how the holy warriors are to be ’mainstreamed’. It would certainly rankle the public if top commanders whose hands are stained with the blood of innocent Paks are given amnesty.

Of course, it is debatable whether any deal is even possible. Peace agreements with holy warriors in the past have invariably failed; in fact, these violent mostly peaceful actors have used the time to regroup and come back stronger than ever. Moreover, the TTP comprises several outfits with varying degrees of heft within the combine as well as different levels of commitment to militancy. Some are war-weary, while others, like the Jamaatul Ahrar
...A Pak Taliban splinter group that split off from the Mullah Fazlullah faction because it wasn't violent enough...
, are driving a hard bargain. It would be exceedingly difficult to bring them all on the same page.

That said, if an agreement is arrived at, it must be one the public perceives as doing some justice to their years of suffering. And its details must not be kept from them.

Taliban’s Highest-Ranking Army Officer Heads to Northern Afghanistan; Clash Between the Taliban and Mawlawi Mujahid Possible at ‘Any Moment’
[KhaamaPress] Qari Fasihuddin Fitrat, the Chief of Staff of the armed forces of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, headed a high-ranking delegation to Sar-e-Pol province, in the north of Afghanistan, according to the state-run Bakhtar News Agency.

A senior military mission to Sar-e-Pol province was led by Taliban

...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns...
Corps commanders are accompanying him.

Fitrat reportedly stated that his travel to Sar-e-Pol was intended to assess security issues and inspect Taliban units stationed in the region, according to Bakhtar.

People close to Mawlavi Mahdi Mujahid aka Mawlawi Mujahid, the Islamic Emirate’s disgruntled Hazara

commander, however, told the BBC that the situation in Balkhab, where they are stationed, was not good and that a confrontation may happen at "any moment."

The opening of a "serious clash" between the Taliban and Mawlawi Mahdi Mujahid’s forces was reported this morning, Thursday, by the local media.

To attack Mawlawi Mujahid, Taliban forces have dispatched forces from different locations, according to the sources.

In Qom Kotel and Balkhab districts of Sar-e-Pol province, Mawlawi Mahdi’s troops claim to have thwarted two Taliban attacks yesterday evening and this morning. They also say to have inflicted casualties on the Taliban.

According to some media outlets, the final rounds of negotiations between Mawlawi Mahdi Mujahid and officials of the Taliban ended since no agreement was reached.

When the local Taliban commander openly challenged the group’s policies, the dispute between the Taliban and Mawlawi Mahdi came to light and was revealed.

Due to the absence of Hazaras and Shiites in the Taliban group, Mawlawi Mahdi was the only Hazara Taliban commander to quit.

Mahdi Mujahid, also known as Mawlawi Mujahid, the sole recognized Hazara Shiite Islamic Emirate commander, recently severed ties with the Taliban leadership and moved in, taking control of the Balkhab district in Sar-e-Pol province.

IS kills 9 pro-regime fighters in eastern Syria: monitor

...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
group has killed nine pro-regime fighters in one day in eastern Syria, a war monitor said Thursday, the latest in a spate of attacks in the area.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitoring organization with a wide network of sources on the ground, the nine were among 30 Syrian soldiers and allied fighters killed in IS attacks this week alone.

The "fierce festivities" since Wednesday between regime forces and IS in a remote area of Raqa province, in the country's east, also killed seven jihadist fighters, the Observatory said.

The fighting followed an ambush, claimed by IS, against a bus carrying fighters from the regular army and allied militia on the desert road linking the cities of Raqa and Homs.

Monday's attack, one of the deadliest of its kind this year, left at least 15 dead according to the Observatory.

The monitor also said that on Wednesday, another four soldiers were killed in an IS ambush near Dumayr military airport, east of the capital Damascus, and that two more were killed earlier this week in the Raqa region.

IS's once sprawling self-proclaimed "caliphate" straddling Iraq and Syria was defeated in March 2019 by US-backed local forces. It has not held fixed positions since then.

But it has continued to carry out guerrilla-style attacks against regime and Kurdish-led forces in eastern Syria, as well as against government and allied troops in Iraq.

Science & Technology
Wild solar weather is causing satellites to plummet from orbit. It's only going to get worse.
[Space] In late 2021, operators of the European Space Agency's (ESA) Swarm constellation noticed something worrying: The satellites, which measure the magnetic field around Earth, started sinking toward the atmosphere at an unusually fast rate — up to 10 times faster than before. The change coincided with the onset of the new solar cycle, and experts think it might be the beginning of some difficult years for spacecraft orbiting our planet.

"In the last five, six years, the satellites were sinking about two and a half kilometers [1.5 miles] a year," Anja Stromme, ESA's Swarm mission manager, told Space.com. "But since December last year, they have been virtually diving. The sink rate between December and April has been 20 kilometers [12 miles] per year."

Satellites orbiting close to Earth always face the drag of the residual atmosphere, which gradually slows the spacecraft and eventually makes them fall back to the planet. (They usually don't survive this so-called re-entry and burn up in the atmosphere.) This atmospheric drag forces the International Space Station's controllers to perform regular "reboost" maneuvers to maintain the station's orbit of 250 miles (400 km) above Earth.

This drag also helps clean up the near-Earth environment from space junk. Scientists know that the intensity of this drag depends on solar activity — the amount of solar wind spewed by the sun, which varies depending on the 11-year solar cycle. The last cycle, which officially ended in December 2019, was rather sleepy, with a below-average number of monthly sunspots and a prolonged minimum of barely any activity. But since last fall, the star has been waking up, spewing more and more solar wind and generating sunspots, solar flares and coronal mass ejections at a growing rate. And the Earth's upper atmosphere has felt the effects.

The Swarm constellation, launched in 2013, consists of three satellites, two of which orbit Earth at an altitude of 270 miles (430 km), about 20 miles (30 km) above the International Space Station. The third Swarm satellite circles the planet somewhat higher — about 320 miles (515 km) above ground. The two lower-orbiting spacecraft were hit more by the sun's acting out than the higher satellite was, Stromme said.

The situation with the lower two got so precarious that by May, operators had to start raising the satellites' altitude using onboard propulsion to save them.

ESA's Swarm satellites are not the only spacecraft struggling with worsening space weather. In February, SpaceX lost 40 brand-new Starlink satellites that were hit by a solar storm just after launch.
More solar radiation usually means more extreme weather on Earth as the energy from it powers things. 10-1 the greens shreek of global warming until the end of time

Home Front: WoT
BDS movement disavows Boston project mapping Jewish groups
[IsraelTimes] Anti-Israel group distances itself from site promoted by its own branch in Massachusetts a day after US politicians called for an investigation into its potential use by hard boys.

The global Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions movement targeting Israel has disavowed a controversial website mapping Boston-area Jewish groups a day after politicians urged a federal investigation of the project’s potential to be used by hard boy groups.

The announcement by the BDS movement on Wednesday aimed to distance the group from the Mapping Project, an anonymous collective of Boston-area pro-Paleostinian activist muppets.

The project lists the names and addresses of Massachusetts Jewish groups, including schools, community funds and synagogue organizations, that it claims are promoting "local institutional support for the colonization of Paleostine" and "other harms."

"The Paleostinian BDS National Committee, the broadest coalition leading the global BDS movement for Paleostinian rights, has no connection to and does not endorse the Mapping Project in Boston, Massachusetts," the BDS movement said in a statement posted to its official Twitter account. "Endorsement of this project by any group affiliated with the BDS movement conflicts with this affiliation."

The collective’s statement seems to referring to BDS Boston, which had enthusiastically shared a link to the Mapping Project upon its initial release earlier this month and identified the group as "our friends at the Mapping Project." This led several media outlets, Jewish groups and politicians to identify the Mapping Project as a BDS initiative.

Among those politicians were 37 members of Congress, led by staunchly pro-Israel Democrat Josh Gottheimer of New Jersey and Republican Don Bacon of Nebraska, who signed a letter Tuesday urging an investigation of "the use of the Mapping Project by hard boy organizations."

The letter was addressed to Attorney General Merrick Garland
...Attorney General of the U.S., who classifies indignant parents as domestic terrorists. The is the respected legal scholar Obama nominated for the Supreme Court...
, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
Director Christopher Wray, and it claimed the Mapping Project was "associated with the BDS movement."

"We fear that this map may be used as a roadmap for violent mostly peaceful attacks by supporters of the BDS movement against the people and entities listed therein," the letter says, while noting that the FBI "is already tracking developments." Signatories included some of Congress’ most vocal pro-Israel voices on both sides of the aisle, including Reps. Haley Stevens, Ritchie Torres and Dan Meuser, as well as freshman Democrat Shontel Brown, who won her close Ohio race last year with the help of pro-Israel groups.

The letter followed an earlier round of condemnations from mostly Massachusetts politicians, including both of the state’s Democratic Senators and progressive Squad member Rep. Ayanna Pressley. Local Jewish groups including the New England Anti-Defamation League and the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston, who were named on the project’s website, said the project was a deliberate effort to target Jews and could encourage hard boy antisemitic acts.

In the same statement in which it condemned the Mapping Project, the BDS movement also condemned "the cynical use of this project as a pretext for repressive attacks on the Paleostine solidarity movement," singling out the ADL and AIPAC as "apologists for Israeli apartheid."

The Mapping Project itself has not returned multiple Jewish Telegraphic Agency requests for comment.

BDS Boston continued to buck the national movement by supporting the Mapping Project on its own social media account, pinning its initial "Friends" tweet to its profile page and retweeting support of the project from other activist muppet groups.

"BDS Boston continues to feel that the Mapping Project is an important source of information and useful organizing tool," the group said in its own statement Wednesday, while also stating that the group "is its own collective that works autonomously from BDS Boston."

The conservative justices made it clear the Second Amendment is not a "second class" right and it applies to firearms beyond muskets or other weapons when it was adopted due to the fact other rights are not restricted to the 1700s.

Lightfoot told MSNBC the decision is "not surprising" and it further "undermines the legitimacy of the court" because the ruling was "tone deaf" since the Senate is about to pass a bipartisan gun control bill.
She’s pounding the table — Mayor Lightfoot worked as a partner in a private law firm before going into politics. She knows the US Supreme Court can only rule on cases resulting from existing law. Should the current bill be passed into law and signed by the president, then a case can wind its way up to the Supreme Court for judgement.
"We were part of an amicus effort on behalf of a number of states in support of the New York law and really focusing on the importance of the federalism, but unfortunately, given the composition of this court, we’re not surprised they struck down the New York law. But I think they give an ample opportunity for New York and other states to pass other laws that are going to make common sense restrictions on gun use, particularly people displaying weapons in public, which itself is a threat," Lightfoot said.

Biden Accidentally Reveals Step-by-Step Notes He's Been Given on How to Act
[Red State] Joe Biden has been busted with cheat sheets in the past. But the one that photographers caught him with on camera on Thursday might just be the worst yet. Biden was delivering a few remarks to the press about the Federal-State Offshore Wind Implementation Partnership.

Yes, everyone uses notes sometimes. But these notes were something else. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this. They weren’t just "notes" about what he was going to say or the subjects that he needed to cover. They were a list — made up by someone else — that told him what to do, that treated him like a five-year-old child, directing him how to act during an event—even when to sit.

Given all the evidence that JB has mental / brain impairment issues, where are the demands to start the 25th process?

Is it because according to section 2 of the 25th that would make Harris the President ?

Where then, Harris could then nominate her own VP, who could take office once that person is confirmed by a simple majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

Now... Imagine AOC, Hillary, Maxie-Mouth Waters, Stacy Abrams, Obama, Ms. O, Butt-a-Peg ☺ as possible nominees

The Grand Turk
Turkey said to nab Iranian cell planning attacks on Israelis
[IsraelTimes] Agents, including some Iranian nationals, reportedly arrested last week in raid in Beyoglu district of Istanbul; ex-diplomat and his wife said targeted in plot

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
has detained several people allegedly working for an Iranian intelligence cell that planned to assassinate or snatch Israeli tourists in Istanbul, local media reported Thursday.

The news of the bust came weeks after Israel ordered its citizens in Istanbul to leave immediately, warning of an imminent Iranian attack plot targeting Israelis in Turkey.

Among those who were being targeted for kidnapping were a former Israeli diplomat and his wife, Hebrew media reported, citing Ottoman Turkish outlets. The diplomat’s name was not published.

The suspects, who were not all Iranian nationals, were detained in a raid last week in three houses in Istanbul’s popular Beyoglu district, the IHA news agency reported. The outlet said eight people had been arrested.

Turkey’s Hurriyet newspaper reported on Thursday that Ottoman Turkish authorities detained five Iranian nationals on Wednesday suspected of involvement in the alleged plot to assassinate Israeli citizens in Istanbul.

The network, without citing a source, also reported that there were believed to be three more Iranian cells in Istanbul.

IHA said Iran
...The nation is noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence...
sent agents disguised as businessmen, tourists and students to Istanbul to assassinate Israelis in retaliation for Khodaei’s murder and other attacks.

It said the Iranians had split into four groups of two assassins who could better track their Israeli targets.

The suspects rented apartments and hotel rooms in the area, and had $30,000 to set up a network of agents.

Police seized two pistols and two silencers in searches conducted in houses and hotels where the suspects were staying, according to the Hurriyet report.

"The hitmen in the liquidation team, who settled in two separate rooms on the second and fourth floors of a hotel in Beyoglu, were [detained] with a large number of weapons and ammunition," IHA said.

Channel 12 reported that the Mossad and Ottoman Turkish security forces were working in full cooperation, and that some of the people arrested in the operations were Iranians and others were locals.

Israeli security forces will continue operating in Turkey for at least a few more days, the network said.

The reported arrests were the first time that Ottoman Turkish media have reported on the subject of Iranian attacks that have been making headlines in Israel for over two weeks amid warnings from officials of Iranian cells on the loose in Turkey.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iran orders US to pay $4 billion in compensation for slain nuke scientists
Ooooooooh, scary.
[IsraelTimes] Largely symbolic Tehran court ruling blames Washington for supporting Israel in ’organized crime’ against victims; US has no assets in country that can be seized.

Although Tehran has blamed Israel in the past for slayings targeting Iranian nuclear scientists since a decade ago, Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites....
did not directly accuse Jerusalem in its announcement. Iran has not recognized Israel since the 1979 Islamic Revolution that ousted the pro-West monarchy and brought Islamists to power.

The court mentioned Israel only in saying the US supported the "Zionist regime" in its "organized crime" against the victims.

It’s unclear how the court decision, like a raft of previous Iranian cases against the US as the two sides have engaged in a spiraling escalation of threats, would gain traction; there are no American assets to confiscate in the Islamic Theocratic Republic.

Still, the court branch, which is dedicated to the review of Iranian complaints against the US, summoned 37 former American officials, including former US presidents Barack Obama

Iran also has placed sanctions on prominent American political and military officials for alleged "terrorism" and "human rights

US appeals court rules that laws against Israel boycotts don’t violate Constitution
[IsraelTimes] Ruling by St. Louis-based Eighth Circuit court is a major victory for pro-Israel activist muppets who have pushed some 30 states to adopt anti-BDS laws

A US federal appeals court upheld an Arkansas state law requiring all public contractors to promise they won’t boycott Israel in a Wednesday ruling, overturning an earlier decision that had said the contract violates the First Amendment.

The ruling by the St. Louis-based US Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit was a major victory for pro-Israel activist muppets who have pushed around 30 states to adopt so-called "anti-BDS" laws — intended to strike back against the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions movement targeting Israel — in recent years. The plaintiffs say they plan to appeal to the US Supreme Court

Russians started a war of attrition - Malyar
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
By Anna Steshenko

[LB] In the future, the enemy plans to focus its efforts on capturing Kramatorsk and Slavyansk. The threat of resumption of the offensive from Belarus remains. But the Armed Forces are ready for any development.

This was announced at a briefing by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Malyar , reports LB.

"The security situation around Ukraine remains difficult. Russia has been waging a full-scale war against our state for the fourth month in a row.

According to Anna Malyar's forecasts, in the near future Russian aggression troops will try to capture Severodonetsk and Lysychansk.

“Because they need an excuse to announce to the command that the task of establishing control over Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts has been fulfilled. Or to reach the geographical borders of these areas. In the future, the enemy plans to focus its efforts on capturing Kramatorsk and Slavyansk. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready for any development, ”she stressed.

The painter added that "there is a threat that the enemy will resume offensive actions against Ukraine from the Belarusian direction."

Recall that according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of the morning of June 23, the enemy is focusing on establishing full control over the city of Severodonetsk, conducting offensive operations to surround our troops near Lysychansk and blocking major logistics routes.

Bizarre news story of the day: Jupiter apparently ‘eats' other planets
[TimeOut] A new report suggests that the King of Planets has the remains of other planets hidden inside it

All things considered, Jupiter seems like a pretty scary place. More than 300 times bigger than Earth (and twice the size of all the rest of our solar system’s planets combined), the King of Planets has double the strength of our gravity and an exceptionally dense, dry atmosphere. And you know that Big Red Dot on its surface? Well, apparently that’s a storm that’s been raging for centuries. Truly terrifying stuff.

But some scientists now reckon that Jupiter could be even more beastly than we previously thought. An article in the journal Astronomy and Astrophysics says that the planet may have become its ginormous, monstrous self by eating other planets.

The paper suggests that Jupiter has the remains of other planets hidden inside it. While the theory that Jupiter was born out of other planets has been around for a while, a clearer picture was revealed after the planet’s infamous gases temporarily parted and Nasa’s Juno space probe was able to get some data about its core.

That data was able to give scientists a better idea of what Jupiter looks like under its massive gas clouds. Apparently the chemical make-up of the planet’s core indicates that Jupiter likely swallowed up lots of small planets (called planetesimals) and space rocks to boost its own growth.

Which makes you pretty glad that Earth is a solid 742 million kilometres from Jupiter, eh? If you’re interested in learning more about the scientists’ findings, you can read the full article here.

#2  Up to US$ 5 million, NN2N1.

From Rewards For Justice:

Rewards for Justice is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information on Mahad Karate, also known as Abdirahman Mohamed Warsame. Karate serves as al-Shabaab’s shadow deputy leader. Karate has some command responsibility over the Amniyat, al-Shabaab’s intelligence and security wing, as well as the group’s finances.

The Amniyat plays a key role in the execution of suicide attacks and assassinations in Somalia, Kenya and other countries in the region, and provides logistical support for al-Shabaab’s terrorist activities. The Amniyat was responsible for the April 2015 attack on Garissa University College in Kenya that killed nearly 150 people, mostly students.

On April 10, 2015, the U.S. Department of State designated Karate as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist pursuant to Executive Order 13224, as amended. As a result of this designation, among other consequences, all property, and interests in property, of Karate that are subject to U.S. jurisdiction are blocked, and U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in any transactions with Karate. In addition, it is a crime to knowingly provide, or attempt or conspire to provide, material support or resources to al-Shabaab, a U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization.

Diplomats and intelligence officers who suffered from mysterious ‘Havana syndrome' while serving in Cuba are to receive six-figure payouts from US
Now about those TBIs...
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] United States diplomats and intelligence officers suffering from the mysterious Havana Syndrome will receive six-figure payouts from the federal government.

The payouts for the stricken officials, ordered by the Biden Administration, will range between $100,000 and $200,000 to each recipient, according to a Washington Post report that outlined the compensation plan.

Symptoms for the mysterious condition - which first surfaced among staffers at the US embassy in Havana in 2016 and has since afflicted hundreds of Americans around the world - include headaches, tinnitus, memory loss and nausea.

The payments will reportedly go to those determined to have suffered the most significant setbacks, such as job loss or career derailment, as a result of the illness.

The news likely comes as a welcome reprieve for sufferers like Tina Onefur, Kate Husband, and Husband's partner Doug Ferguson, all former workers at the US embassy in Havana - and some of the earliest known victims of the condition.

The vast majority of those stricken have been US diplomats, spies, and others employed by the government - spurring many to believe the disease is the work of a foreign entity, such as Russia.

The theory has put further pressure on the government - which largely ignored the rash of cases under former President Trump - to address the surge.

The West does not live by the truth: Interview of Sergey Lavrov
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin in italics

[ColonelCassad] A long interview with Lavrov during a visit to Belarus, where he answered on the position of the Russian Federation regarding the conflict with the West and the prospects for negotiations with Ukraine, indicating the current diplomatic position of the Russian Federation at the moment. It was here that for the first time official statements were made that the negotiating position on Ukraine would now be formed based on the "situation on the ground", which significantly expands the list of Russia's territorial claims, which on February 24 were limited only to the issues of Crimea and Donbass.

Question: The events of recent years, the gradual global escalation were perceived by many as separate fragments. Today, the “puzzle” has taken shape: a failed rebellion in Belarus with the expectation of a permanent transfer to Russia, a Polish-Baltic provocation with refugees, the deployment of NATO troops near our borders, open pumping of weapons and sponsorship of the Nazis and Russophobia in Ukraine, large-scale sanctions pressure. There is a feeling that all this is one big "special operation" of the West, which was being prepared for a long time and very cynically.

Foreign Minister Lavrov: I agree. This can be called differently - "special operation", a strategic course to cancel any country that dares to contradict the West. Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about this in detail recently at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. His scores are well known. All this is connected with the mood and illusions that “suddenly” appeared in the West.

When the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact disappeared, the West, through the mouth of the famous political scientist F. Fukuyama, announced that “the end of history has come”, “from now on and forever, the liberal democratic order in Western execution and reading will dominate on Earth and it will be a criterion for all other states. HIt must be said frankly that the first years of the existence of the Russian Federation after the collapse of the Soviet Union gave the West reason to believe that this concept would be approved and Russia would come to terms with its new, subordinate position in international relations.

We know the history of recent years well. Since the early 2000s a course was taken to return to national identity, religious, cultural, family traditions and values. Since then, the movement of the West began to mobilize forces and means to suppress dissent. 2007 – President Vladimir Putin's Munich speech. All those who had ears were given the opportunity to hear. Most didn't seem to hear. And those who were able to do this decided that the “recalcitrant” needed to be educated. Further, threats were created on the borders of Russia and Belarus as our closest neighbor and ally. We saw the rest.

It is clear that these calculations are doomed to failure. We will strive for the democratization of international relations. And not on some invented basis (“rules” that the West constantly talks about), but on the basis of international law, above all, the principles of the UN Charter. It says that the Organization is based on respect for the sovereign equality of states. Here's what we're after. We are convinced that we will.

Question: When the events of 2020 took place in Belarus, individuals in Russia sometimes sniped at Minsk. Like, "external intervention", foreign intelligence services, hybrid war - "this is a purely internal agenda." Subsequently, it turned out that a similar scenario began to be used in relation to Moscow, the same elements and resources worked in your direction. Do you notice these parallels? Do you share the point of view that the first “strike” against Moscow was inflicted in 2020, when, fortunately, the “mutiny” failed?

Foreign Minister Lavrov: This is part of the same fierce campaign in which the agony of the unipolar world is manifested. That is why the West has been acting so frenzied over the past couple of years. Especially during the period when a special military operation in Ukraine was launched.
We heard "half-joking" assessments of what is happening in Belarus and the facts presented. These are political scientists who are constantly and everywhere looking for something to express their negative attitude towards the Russian and Belarusian leadership. We know this well.

That unpleasant episode clearly showed that we are real allies. Russian officials had no doubts that we should help the fraternal, allied people and state. The CSTO had no doubts in January of this year, when something similar was undertaken in Kazakhstan, but in a different form and scale.
It was amusing to hear about the equality of large and small peoples in accordance with the UN Charter (remembering the events in Kazakhstan) when the West reacted nervously to the speed with which the CSTO responded to the appeal of the President of Kazakhstan K.-Zh. Tokayev. Then he showed dissatisfaction with the fact that the CSTO was called at all.

I will not reveal a big secret (this was reported in the Western media), emissaries from the EU (I am sure that the Americans do the same), when they travel around Central Asia, they seek explanations from Kazakhstan about what happened and why it took such measures to suppress popular demonstrations. They consider themselves entitled to demand explanations. Although it would be more useful for them to concentrate on solving their own problems, growing like a snowball.

Question: There is an opinion that in 2020 Belarus survived thanks to two factors: the personality of President Alexander Lukashenko and Russia's support.

Foreign Minister Lavrov: I agree. I have already said that Russia immediately provided political and moral support. She was ready to provide any other assistance to prevent a coup d'état.

Question: Today we see that the West has declared war on the whole world. At the same time, he himself is afraid of the truth like fire: the closure of YouTube channels, Belarusian and Russian television satellite channels, popular Telegram resources in Belarus. Zombies of the Western public, reaching the point of absurdity - is this a manifestation of weakness? The values that they tried to teach us all these years, democracy - this "screen" instantly crumbled.

S.V. Lavrov: The West is afraid of fair competition. This is well known to many. Hence the “cancellation of the culture” of any country that speaks from its own, nationally oriented positions, a ban on broadcasting TV channels, deletion of objectionable politicians from social networks and everything that is in one way or another at odds with the neoliberal concept of vision and organization of the world. It's all over the place. The West does not live by the truth.
Russian President Vladimir Putin in one of his recent speeches called the "collective West" an "empire of lies." A sharp statement. Absolutely agree with him.

Question: Provocations and lies, even at the official level, have become a trademark of Ukrainian politics. In a recent interview, P.A. Poroshenko said that Kyiv never thought of resolving the conflict peacefully, and eight years were needed to play for time and build up military power. It turns out that all promises to stop hostilities were empty words. Instead of fulfilling the Minsk agreements, Donbass was systematically bombed.

Foreign Minister Lavrov: I am not at all surprised that lies have become the hallmark of the Ukrainian regime. So it was under P.A. Poroshenko, remains under V.A. Zelensky.

Recently, furrowing his eyebrows, in camouflage, in some kind of T-shirt, he declared the falsehood of reports that the Ukrainian armed forces were bombing the center of Donbass and other settlements. Although even the Western press, in every possible way shielding the Ukrainian neo-Nazis, has already admitted that reports that the Russian Armed Forces are doing this are not true.

Everyone knows very well how Donetsk is being bombed. Any foreign embassy (if it is not shown in Europe and the USA) has the opportunity here in Minsk to watch reports from the scene. It is impossible even to imagine that they do not know the truth. Most of them are honest, professional diplomats. Surely they report this truth to their capitals. But there sounds a completely different assessment of what is happening. What surprises me more is not the lies that we hear every day, every hour from Kyiv, but how the "patrons" of Kyiv began to play this game of lies.
They shield him with or without reason. And it's not just now.

You mentioned the eight-year period after the anti-constitutional coup d'état. This coup was the result of the fact that the opposition simply spat in the face of the European Union, which, in the person of France, Germany and Poland, put its guarantees under the agreement between VF Yanukovych and the three opposition leaders. The next morning they tore it all up, announced as a priority the need to cancel the regional status of the Russian language, and sent armed bandits to the Crimea. Here's how it all started.

But the West, recalling these events, only says that we “annexed” Crimea out of the blue. They cancel the entire prehistory that has been accumulating not only since February 2014, but even the previous ten years, when Ukraine was pulled to a “break”: they had to decide with whom they want to be - with Europe or with Russia. Ministers, officials, members of governments said this directly before every election in Ukraine.

They lied when they guaranteed the agreement with VF Yanukovych (which was broken by the opposition), the Minsk agreements (which Germany and France boasted about). Every year and every month we urged them to look at the disgrace that Kyiv is doing, publicly officially refusing to comply with the Minsk agreements through the mouth of the president. They "went into the shadows", urged us to "enter the position" of the Ukrainian state. Such is the nature of our European partners. We already know her well. She is turned inside out.

Question: As a reporter, I covered the events on the Maidan for reporters. Believe me, I've seen enough of the colors and everything else: revolutionary tinsel and a pink veil before my eyes, and especially what happened next.

Foreign Minister Lavrov: Didn't you get any cookies?

Question: We didn't get cookies. I do not want to repeat this in other countries.

Given this behavior of the Ukrainian partners, should they, in principle, propose a different version of the agreements, the conditional "Minsk-3"? Or does it not matter anymore?

Foreign Minister Lavrov: It makes no sense in the forms in which they have been trying to reach an agreement over the past eight years. First, the agreement that was broken by the Maidan in February 2014, then the Minsk agreements.

Why go far. Just a few days after the start of the special military operation, the Ukrainian side proposed negotiations. We immediately agreed. For several meetings, Ukrainians simply “served their number”: they sat at the table in caps, demonstrating their moral values and the cultural heritage of their ancestors. Then at the end of March of this year. in Istanbul they really put paper on the table. It was taken as our basis. Based on it, they were handed over to the Ukrainian side on April 15 of this year. draft agreement.

But immediately after Istanbul (we know this for sure), the Americans and the British “clicked” on them, because it is the Anglo-Saxons who now rule in Kiev. A day later, a terrible provocation took place in the settlement. Bucha. Then, when the facts of the hypocritical, cynical staging had already been revealed, they immediately hushed up about it. Now few people talk about Bucha.

We are just wondering: have you found out the names of those people whose corpses were discovered with such fanfare, demonstrated to the whole world? Nobody says anything. They are also silent about the fact that even the British newspaper The Guardian reported the first results of pathological and anatomical examinations, which showed that most of these people died from fragments of artillery shells. Immediately, this information again went into the “shadow”.

From April 15 this year. Ukraine does not reach the negotiation level.

V.A. Zelensky either declares that he is ready for negotiations and there will still be peace, then the next day he says that in order to resume negotiations, Russia must withdraw to the line on February 24 of this year. B. Johnson agrees with him, with whom they look quite organically together.

Most importantly, the meeting in Istanbul took place on March 29 this year. It was about the need for Ukraine to be a neutral, non-nuclear, non-bloc country while providing it with security guarantees. These guarantees (it was written there by Ukrainians) will not apply to Crimea and Donbass. We were ready to discuss it. They broke the negotiations. When they deign to turn to us with a proposal to resume the diplomatic process (which, as I understand it, the Europeans strongly ask them, but the Anglo-Saxons do not allow this), we will look at the situation on the ground. There are liberated areas. The majority of the population does not even have the thought of returning again to the control of neo-Nazi authorities or authorities that in every possible way indulge neo-Nazism.

Question: It seems to me that Kyiv has set such a “unique” record in these eight years: it has squandered the sovereignty of its country in such a short time. In fact, virtually nothing remains of an independent state today.

Foreign Minister Lavrov: They decided that sovereignty would be strengthened by abolishing everything Russian and everything non-Ukrainian. So that the heroes were only Ukrainian, and in the reading of neo-Nazis who revere R. Shukhevych, S. Bandera, who destroy monuments to those who liberated Ukraine, not to mention the abolition of the Russian language and education, the media. All this has been cancelled.

Unfortunately, now in Moldova they are trying to undertake the same abolition of everything Russian. The President signed the law that there will be no more news from Russia in Moldova. It is sad. Ukraine tried to build its sovereignty on the abolition of its history. It has no history without the Russian people. Does not exist. They went down this path. The West, rubbing their hands and pushing them along this “slippery” road, encouraged such an approach and a conceptual vision of the Ukrainian state, if only to “hurt”, as they believed, create threats, unbalance the Russian Federation, but also our closest allies also, as it turns out in recent years.

Question: If negotiations suddenly take place and the leaders of Russia and Ukraine sit down at the negotiating table, how do you feel about the initiative of the President of Belarus, who says that there should be a place for Belarus at this table? Since the West considers our country a co-aggressor.

Foreign Minister Lavrov: We will accept with great pleasure the invitation of the President of Belarus to gather on Belarusian territory. But I wouldn't even think about it. Now I do not see an opportunity for the Ukrainian side to offer (but we will not offer anything ourselves. They have already offered everything a long time ago. The ball is on their side). I do not see the possibility that they will be allowed to take advantage of the return to the negotiation procedure.

Question: This is about external control. Another topic that is being discussed today is food. Once "well-fed" Europe today itself thought about banal things: what will we eat, drink, grow on our land? Once upon a time, Belarus was criticized for agrarian biases. Now they themselves understand that this is a rather important direction. We see that Ukrainian grain has already become the subject of bargaining: A. Guterres calls A.G. Lukashenko, they come to Russia from different sides with the theme “help us with logistics”. At the same time, it is paradoxical that the sanctions, which in this case are the main barrier, are not going to be canceled by anyone, they do not even stutter.

Foreign Minister Lavrov: This is in line with distorted reality: Alice in Wonderland, Alice Through the Looking-Glass. In a word, the empire of lies. Yes, indeed, the UN Secretary General A. Guterres is trying to promote some kind of initiative, he sent his representatives here. Russian President Vladimir Putin explained to him in detail that there is an elementary way, which now without any negotiations, memorandums, is the way through Belarus. To do this, it is only necessary, as you said, to provide all the logistics and financial chains. There are other more costly food delivery routes through Romania and Poland. But as for the ports, they are not blocked by us.

Our armed forces since March of this year. declare safe corridors from the mined territorial waters of Ukraine to the Bosporus. Ready to cooperate with the Turks. But for this, the Ukrainians must clear the port of mines. They don't want to do it. At the same time, A. Guterres is trying to resolve issues of grain withdrawal from Ukrainian ports without taking into account the corridors we announce daily. He wants to first agree on Ukrainian grain, then pro-Russian. Nobody is in a hurry to get us anywhere.

This situation creates problems for many developing countries. The UN Secretary General, by his actions, is prolonging the food crisis, making it impossible to quickly send grain there. It's unfortunate. He sent his representative to Russia, Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) R. Greenspan, who met with First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation A.R. Belousov.

All proposals formulated by President Vladimir Putin have been put on paper and submitted to New York. We have done everything we can do. The slow response to a seemingly urgent issue is alarming. I do not rule out that the UN Secretariat also experiences the strongest influence from those who wish to exercise external management of the Organization.

Question: The feeling that if the problem of hunger escalates, and there are all the prerequisites for this, then this problem can also be blamed on Minsk and Moscow. They say, "we did offer, but you did not agree."

Foreign Minister Lavrov: This should not worry us, because "our conscience is clear." You and we have laid out everything that can be explained. The hypocrisy of demagogic “howls” that food and fertilizers are not under sanctions is well known.Yes, food as such is not located, but all the necessary actions to ensure that it reaches the buyer are under sanctions.

By the way, the Americans quickly came to their senses and lifted sanctions on fertilizers. Now there are some commodity flows. The European Union remains in irreparable confidence in its own rightness and infallibility. Contrary to common sense, on a daily basis, they are constantly “hollowing at one point”: that they should inflict a “defeat” on Russia and, apparently, Belarus as well.

Question: It is obvious that without fertilizers there will be no harvest. Without logistics, everything will be longer and more expensive. What is the West counting on in this case? Citizens have already more than felt the effect of these sanctions.

Foreign Minister Lavrov: I find it difficult to answer. I think that the West is now in a nervous state. Let them figure it out. Everything that depended on us, we did. We offered and continue to offer honest cooperation in areas of mutual interest. They don't want it.

Question: It is clear that the world cannot stand still. If somewhere the chain breaks, then another point of growth will still arise. Now there is talk of creating a "new G8" without the US, Germany, France, that is, a club that will include states that respect a normal, equal, balanced dialogue. In your opinion, does this idea have a future?

Foreign Minister Lavrov: We don't need a "new G8".We already have structures based on the principles you just mentioned, primarily in the Eurasian space. The EAEU is actively promoting integration processes together with the PRC, harmonizing the Chinese One Belt, One Road project with plans for Eurasian integration. Members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations are closely watching these plans. A number of these countries are concluding an agreement on a free trade zone with the EAEU. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization also "fits" into these processes.

All this is happening both in the CIS space, the CSTO (if we take the military-political aspects), and in the space embracing the Union State of Russia and Belarus. There is another structure that goes beyond the geographical boundaries of Eurasia - this is the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa). This association is increasingly relying not on Western methods of doing business, not on Western rules according to which international monetary, financial and trade institutions should work, but on fairer methods that will not make any processes dependent on, say, the dominant role of the dollar. or some other currency.

The G20 is fully represented by the BRICS and 5 other countries that share the positions of the BRICS, and on the other side of the "barricades" are the "seven" and those who support it. That's a pretty serious balance. The G20 may degenerate if the West uses it to escalate confrontation. The structures that I mentioned (SCO, BRICS, ASEAN, EAEU, CIS) are based not on diktat, not on the requirement to agree with the realities of the “unipolar world”, but on consensus, mutual respect, building a balance of interests.

Question: It is clear that when there is such a global confrontation, you need to be together. Not only Belarus and Russia, but, as you said, the entire Eurasian space. There are obvious problems with unity here. President Vladimir Putin spoke about this at the last CSTO summit. We see that American generals are still coming to the post-Soviet countries. Sometimes not everything is good in terms of voting in international organizations. Not so often there are official statements that would contain a consolidated agenda. In your opinion, is it possible that now the post-Soviet countries themselves are helping the West to undermine the once strong ties.

Foreign Minister Lavrov: We spoke about this at the CSTO Ministerial Council meeting recently held in Yerevan. My speech and the speech of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus VV Makei went in the same direction. They emphasized the need to maintain allied obligations and relations.

In NATO, a situation is unthinkable when any country of the alliance suddenly starts to move away from a common position. Now Turkey is trying to achieve respect for its interests in connection with the entry of Sweden and Finland. This is a rare exception, especially since the Turks very clearly and understandably explained what they want. They consider some organizations terrorist. These organizations found shelter in Finland and Sweden. Turkey explained that it wants to eliminate this problem. In the case of other votings in the UN or somewhere else, NATO members absolutely “raise their hands” in solidarity. We know that those who have doubts are under terrible pressure. And it turns out on our allies.

We do not have "stick" discipline in the CSTO. We always try to find a balance of interests. The West, which has lost all decorum, is against observing the UN statutory principle of respect for the sovereign equality of states, in accordance with which we have stated our position with Belarus, with our other allies. The West also stated its position. Let the developing countries compare, analyze and make their own decision regarding the problems that arise between us and the West.

But he does not want to let them make their own decision, sends emissaries, twists their arms, subjecting the relevant figures to direct blackmail, ultimatums, speculating on their financial situation, on where their children study. I know this well. I cannot even imagine that something similar will be applied in our relations within the framework of the same CSTO. There are politicians who are subject to such influence in different countries. It is necessary to continue the conversations started during the CSTO meeting in Moscow, and which were supported in Yerevan by the CSTO foreign ministers. We are allies and comrades. We must honestly discuss all the issues that we have to solve together. As B.Sh. Okudzhava sang, "so as not to disappear one by one, let's join hands, friends." This is great wisdom. I am convinced that all our neighbors understand this very well.

Q: Let's end on a positive note about unity. Belarus and Russia in this sense compare favorably, including from the Eurasian space. Constant meetings, including between the two presidents, always a clear understanding on all issues. We are talking with you on the eve of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. It's come a long way. We know that the periods were different, it could not do without disputes and contradictions. Decoupling solutions were always found. How do you assess the level of diplomatic relations today, including future aspects of integration?

Foreign Minister Lavrov: It's just mutual respect and mutual striving in all nuances (there is never a 100% coincidence of positions on all issues in relations between any two countries) in approaches. I see how our presidents set an example of an honest discussion of any problems, finding solutions based on respect for the interests of a partner, ally and on promoting their priorities, i.e. the search for that very balance of interests that makes any agreements sustainable and promising.

Now 28 allied programs are being implemented, coordinated precisely in the logic that I am talking about. We spent a little more time, but we got reliable solutions, which are now being implemented at a fairly fast pace. We are allies. The alliance extends to all spheres of life and activity, starting with military-political security, which we jointly provide on the western flank of the CSTO (here Belarus plays a key role), continuing with the topics of economic cooperation.

The main thing is the alignment of business rules for the enterprises of our two countries and social conditions for the citizens of Russia and Belarus. This is a fundamental point that allows Belarusians in Russia to always feel at home and the same for Russians in Belarus.

Government Corruption
White House is refusing to share details about its coordinated efforts to engage in a federal takeover of election
[THEFEDERALIST] President Biden really does not want the public to know about his federal takeover of election administration. Dozens of members of Congress have repeatedly asked for details, to no avail. Good government groups, members of the media, and private citizens have filed requests under the Freedom of Information Act. Not a single one has been responded to. All signs indicate a concerted effort to keep the public in the dark until at least after the November midterm elections. The lack of transparency and responsiveness is so bad that the Department of Justice and some of its agencies have been repeatedly sued for the information.

When President Biden ordered all 600 federal agencies to "expand citizens’ opportunities to register to vote and to obtain information about, and participate in, the electoral process" on March 7, 2021, Republican politicians, Constitutional scholars, and election integrity specialists began to worry exactly what was up his sleeve.

They had good reason. The 2020 election had suffered from widespread and coordinated efforts by Democrat activists and donors to run "Get Out The Vote" operations from inside state and local government election offices, predominantly in the Democrat-leaning areas of swing states. Independent researchers have shown the effect of this takeover of government election offices was extremely partisan and favored Democrats overwhelmingly.

At the time the order was issued, Democrats were also hoping to pass H.R. 1, a continuation of the effort to destabilize elections throughout the country via a federalized takeover of state election administrations.

Biden gave each agency 200 days to file their plans for approval by none other than Susan Rice, his hyperpartisan domestic policy advisor. Yet fully nine months after those plans were due, they are all being hidden from the public, even as evidence is emerging that the election operation is in full swing.

#4  here's a fun spitballing exercise in conspiracy theory that will surely never actually happen.

I am paying close attention to the recent emergence of counter-indicative reporting that says the "Red Wave" is really just a ripple as there are only a few really at risk seats, a slight House shift right and an actual Senate pick-up for the D's of 2-4 seats. The tone and opinion is entirely oriented to lessening any expectations of significant course correction in our governments policies.

This counter narrative is a necessary precursor to obscure awareness of massive voter fraud and if the fix is to be successful they must lay a predicate to undercut expectations for the public. The more I see this kind of propaganda becoming mainstream the more I will tend to believe they have confidence the steal will work again.
Most importantly, if the counter-narrative becomes very mainstream, it also signals that there will likely be significant, clandestine "counter-revolutionary" surveillance ops for possible preemptive action prior to the actual election.

I sure hope I'm wearing a tin-foil hat about this...

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Armed Robber Confronts Dollar Store Clerk With Gun, Clerk Shoots Him Dead — The Robbers' Siblings Are Angry
[DefiantAmerica] A 23-year-old Ohio man was shot and killed while trying to rob a Dollar General store at gunpoint.

Roosevelt Rappley entered the Dayton-area store, produced a firearm, and started demanding money. One of the store clerks was a concealed carry permit holder and was legally armed. Once the suspect pointed his weapon at this clerk, he drew his own weapon and fired, striking the subject in the chest.

Rappley returned fire, hitting no one, before stumbling outside and collapsing. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The clerk placed a 9-1-1 call.

"He pointed a gun at me," the caller said. "I had a firearm on me. I pulled my firearm and I shot him in self-defense."

According to police, witnesses confirmed that the assailant pointed his weapon at the clerk, prompting him to draw and fire, fearing for his life.

Shortly after the failed robbery attempt, two members of Rappley’s family spoke with news hounds outside the store where he was shot and killed. Their thoughts: it is the fault of the clerk for being legally armed and acting in self-defense.

Rappley’s sister went on record as saying that even though her brother was wrong...it was all the clerk’s fault. Here is what she said:

"He’s got some responsibility, but not all. [Right is] right and wrong is wrong. That was wrong for that clerk to shoot my brother in the chest. Yes, he’s robbing them. This happen back Oct. 2019, and it seems the DA for "Social/Racial Justice" political reasons did not just determine it was a justified shoot based on the police reports and video. He used the Grand Jury to Cover His A$$.

Given the area it might have headed off a RIOT/LOOTING peaceful protest with wealth redistribution.

10:09 The Czech government has decided not to issue visas and temporary residence permits to Russians and Belarusians until the end of March 2023. Such a measure is designed to protect foreign policy interests and ensure the security of the Czech Republic, namely, to put pressure on the Russian Federation and Belarus supporting it. The exception to the rule is cases of a humanitarian nature.

10:07 In the Akhtyrsky district of the Sumy region, a police car was blown up by a mine while patrolling the territory, two officers were injured. According to him, heating will be "fastened" for Ukrainians this winter: "The optimum temperature in the house should fluctuate between 18-20 degrees, as in the thrifty countries of developed Europe. But in no case below 16 degrees."

The minister stressed that the heating season will start on time, "but we must unlearn how to live in winter with open windows and heat the street." He also assured that the tariffs will remain at the same level.

But I'm just telling people who make decisions in NATO capitals ... that we have a political and moral obligation provide substantial support over the long term."

The Secretary General stressed that NATO countries should support the supply of "modern weapons, heavy weapons, as NATO allies have been doing for a long time." He also urged to be prepared for a long standoff, because the world cannot allow Putin to be rewarded for the brutal use of force.

09:05 On June 22, the Russian army captured the village of Loskutovka and the village of Rai-Aleksandrovka in the Luhansk region, having captured Toshkovka, Podlesnoye and Mirnaya Dolina a day earlier, the head of the Luhansk OVA Sergey Gaidai said and published a photo. He also said that as a result of the shelling of Lisichansk, three people were injured, one died.

08:52 The head of the Donetsk OVA, Pavel Kirilenko, said in a commentary to Radio Liberty that the Armed Forces of Ukraine currently control about 45% of the territories of the Donetsk region, where hostilities are now taking place: "Accordingly, 55% - with complete destruction - are under the control of illegal armed groups, I mean under the control of the occupier, including the dilapidated Mariupol and Volnovakha." He stressed that the situation along the entire front line is very difficult.

08:47 Moldova cannot fully support EU sanctions against Russia due to the weakness of its own economy, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Nicolae Popescu said: "At the current stage, the degree of stability and the ability of our country to solve the whole range of problems do not allow us to join large package of restrictive measures.

08:43 A two-day EU summit starts on June 23 in Brussels. The main topics of the meeting are the Russian invasion and granting Ukraine and Moldova candidate status for EU membership. The decision will probably be announced tonight.

08:41 British intelligence reports that since June 19, Russian forces have most likely advanced more than 5 km to the southern approaches to Lysichansk. At the same time, some Ukrainian units withdrew - probably in order not to be surrounded. Russia's improvement in this sector is likely the result of the unit's recent reinforcement and strong concentration of fire, analysts said.

Russian troops are putting increasing pressure on the Lisichansko-Severodonetsk pocket with their creeping advance along the outskirts of built-up areas. However, their efforts to achieve a deeper encirclement to capture the western part of the Donetsk region remain unsuccessful, intelligence notes.

08:32 Yulia Tserkovnikova, a lawyer for the British and Moroccans "sentenced" to death in the "DPR", who fought for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, announced that she had filed an appeal, and if she was not satisfied, then the petitions for "pardon": "Currently, my colleagues and I are in the interests of we are preparing the full text of the appeal against the verdict for our clients. Undoubtedly, if the complaint is denied and the verdict comes into force, a petition for pardon will be filed."

07:45 In the Severodonetsk direction, the enemy took control of the settlements of Loskutovka and Rai-Aleksandrovka. Now the enemy is storming Sirotino and preparing to cross the Seversky Donets, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports in the morning report . In the Bakhmut direction, the military of the Russian Federation are conducting offensive operations in the directions of the settlements of Zolote and Volcheyarovka. The Russians moved tank units and one BTG to the Slavic and Bakhmut directions.

07:43 At night, the enemy hit the Krivoy Rog district six times, hit residential areas. Two people were injured in Apostolovo, they were hospitalized, according to the head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, Valentin Reznichenko. There is destruction of housing, the city is partially without electricity and water.

07:26 The leaders of the G7 countries and NATO will meet next week to develop new ways to increase pressure on Russia in connection with the war in Ukraine, while emphasizing their concern about China's position, Reuters reports citing sources.

06:33 Over the past day, the enemy attacked the Odessa region twice with missiles, both missiles were destroyed by air defense units, said Serhiy Bratchuk, a spokesman for the OVA. He also said that on Zmeiny Island, the Ukrainian military hit another enemy anti-aircraft missile and gun complex Pantsir C1.

05:48 Because of enemy shelling in Nikolayevshchina in one day burned down more than 80 hectares of wheat. Thanks to the operational work of the rescuers, the transfer of fire to 215 hectares of grain crops was prevented, the State Emergency Service reported.

03:47 The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) suggests that the Russians may capture Lisichansk in the coming days, but are unlikely to quickly take control of the Severodonetsk-Lysichansk area. Russian air defense systems in eastern Ukraine limit the effectiveness of Ukrainian drones, so the Armed Forces of Ukraine have reduced air operations to 20-30 sorties per day. However, the Ukrainian Air Force and armed drones remain active in other war zones, having carried out several successful strikes against hostile targets in the Kherson region over the past week.

Citing Russian sources, analysts report that "Russian troops lack the numbers and strength to succeed in the battles in Ukraine," and the Russian leadership continues to carry out forced partial mobilization, which contributes to limited changes, but negatively affects the morale and discipline of those forcibly mobilized. .

Arminya RF continued its offensive against Slovyansk and made little progress. The invaders stepped up their efforts to cut off Ukrainian communication lines on the T1302 Bakhmut-Lysichansk highway in order to support their operations towards Lysychansk. Along the Southern Axis, Russian forces concentrated on defensive operations and may have made little progress within Mykolaiv Oblast.

00:54 Briton Aiden Eslin, convicted in the "DNR", told his relatives that he would soon be executed, writes Telegraph. He called his mother and said that "his time is running out" because the British authorities did not try to negotiate with Russia and the "DNR" about his release. The "DNR" informed Eslin that the sentence would be carried out and that no one from London had contacted him.

00:18 Zelensky said in an evening video message that he had spoken with the leaders of 11 countries during the day: "Bulgaria, Latvia, Greece, Sweden, Estonia, Czech Republic, Belgium, Austria, Slovenia, Moldova, again talked with Lithuanian President Nauseda - expressed his full support in connection with the situation around the Kaliningrad region of Russia. I will continue this marathon - we must provide maximum support to our state. We expect a key European decision in the evening."

Hand, ear and neck tattoos now OK for soldiers amid recruiting crunch
[Army Times] The military is struggling to find recruits right now, and the Army is no exception. With three months remaining in fiscal 2022, the service has only attained 40% of its enlisted recruiting goal, according to Army G-1 spokesperson Maj. Angel Tomko.

And that’s part of why Army Secretary Christine Wormuth issued a new policy authorizing troops to have small tattoos on their hands, ears and necks, Army officials explained Thursday morning.

Wormuth signed a directive Wednesday that expanded the service’s acceptable tattoo policy. The changes will be incorporated in the next update to AR 670-1, the Army’s appearance regulation.

The following tattoos are now authorized, according to the directive:

Why fight it, leave it. I know of several asked to come back to fill in the holes. That began since 9/11. Example, just transferring military hardware requires warm experienced bodies with clearances to supervise. I understand getting clearances these days is not cheap.

The fight to contain Britain's polio outbreak: Search for virus source begins and NHS starts contacting parents of unvaccinated children - as it emerges it was first detected in February
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news]
  • The virus was detected at the Beckton sewage treatment works, which covers a population of four million in north and east London

  • Great Britain was pronounced clear of polio in 2003 with last case found in 1984

  • Now the NHS are launching a campaign to contain the disease by contacting the parents of unvaccinated children after health chiefs declared a national incident

  • The UK's health service is starting up a major drive of children's polio vaccines
The UK Health Security Agency believes a traveller, possibly from Pakistan, Afghanistan or Nigeria, shed the virus in their faeces after being given a live oral polio vaccine during an outbreak.

It is likely they then infected relatives by failing to wash their hands properly and contaminating food and drink. Officials are looking at the possibility that just one family – or an extended family – may be affected.

Ecuador Declares State of Emergency as Indigenous Riots Engulf Nation
[Breitbart] Several thousand people marching on behalf of a powerful native tribe lobby within Ecuador called the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (CONAIE) entered Quito on Monday night demanding financial concessions from the nation’s federal government, Semana magazine reported Tuesday.

The week-long march to the national capital precipitated violent riots across six Ecuadorian provinces prompting the government to declare states of emergency nationwide, the Colombian magazine relayed.

Ecuador President Guillermo Lasso declared a nighttime curfew in Quito on June 20 as the indigenous lobby’s caravan arrived in the national capital. The conservative leader additionally extended a state of emergency in place since June 18 “in the provinces of Pichincha (whose capital is Quito), Cotopaxi and Imbabura, to the Andean Chimborazo and Tungurahua, and the Amazonian Pastaza,” Semana reported on June 21.

“This decision protects the well-being of citizens against violence. At the same time, the rights of those who demonstrate peacefully are protected,” Ecuador’s federal government said of the measures via its press secretary.

“We cannot allow a few violent people to prevent millions of Ecuadorians from working. We are not going to allow people to face off against people. I am here to defend Quito, every family in the capital and the country,” President Lasso said in a nationally televised address on Monday night, as quoted by the Buenos Aires-based news outlet Infobae.

Lasso referred to an indefinite nationwide strike ordered by CONAIE on June 12, ostensibly to demand several financial concessions from Ecuador’s federal government, including “setting the price of a gallon of diesel at $1.50 and that of regular gasoline at $2.10,” according to Infobae.

CONAIE’s dictate included a demand for several thousands of mainly indigenous people to march on Quito. This massive march has caused violent riots in at least six provinces over the past eight days and forced the closure of at least “80 sections of highways blocked by the protests,” Infobae observed on Monday.

The Argentine news outlet described caravans of indigenous protesters carrying “weapons including sticks and shields” marching near Cutuglagua, a parish located 18 miles south of Quito, on their way to the national capital on June 20.

“This Monday, Ecuador celebrates a week since the strike began and has already left millions in losses for the productive and tourist sectors, which have been mainly affected by road closures,” Infobae reported on June 20.

“The roadblocks have prevented the trucks that transport vegetables and fruits from the Sierra [mountain range] to the Ecuadorian coast from circulating. The consequences, after seven days of route closures, are beginning to be felt in the supermarkets of Guayaquil, where the hangers of these products are empty,” according to the news outlet.

CONAIE’s caravan escalated its demands on Monday night, calling for President Lasso’s ouster despite his efforts to meet the influential lobby group’s requests. The organization’s 10-point ultimatum includes calls for “food price controls and a commitment to renegotiating the personal bank loans of about four million families” in addition to the call for fuel price decreases, according to Agence France-Presse.

“The powerful Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (Conaie) — [is] credited with helping topple three presidents between 1997 and 2005,” the news agency noted on Monday.

CONAIE’s influence on Ecuadorean politics seems outsized considering native people account for a minority (one million) of the country’s population of 17.7 million.

Goat Injures Scores Of Russian Soldiers After Triggering Tripwire Connected To Ring Of Grenades
[LAD Bible] Russian forces have faced their toughest challenge yet: a heroic goat.

A goat situated in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region has accidentally triggered a series of tripwires set by the Russian military and inadvertently injured them with their own pinned grenades.

Ukrainian media outlet Pravda reported, via Ukraine’s Chief Intelligence Directorate, that a total of 40 Russian invaders had been injured at a medical institution in Kinski Rozdory.

The military personnel had installed pinned grenades and placed tripwires around the perimeter of the hospital in a ’circular defence’.

A decision they most certainly regretted.

The goat moved around the area and ’disposed of’ several grenades, which triggered a chain reaction and wounded the soldiers to varying degrees.

This begs the question of whether the goat was an undercover member of the Ukrainian military?

According to Smithsonian Mag, goats are highly intelligent and inquisitive by nature, so perhaps the goat knew what it was doing.

Unfortunately, it is unclear whether the brave goat survived, however, we are sure he will live on in the memories of all Ukrainians just as the Snake Island heroes have.

A defiant group of Ukrainian soldiers who were defending the island off the coast of Ukraine from a Russian warship famously told the Russian soldiers to 'go f**k yourself'.

Animals have been as steadfast as the Ukrainian people in their resistance to the Russian invasion, with help coming in all forms and sizes.

Last month Patron, a pint-sized Jack Russel terrier, was recognised for detecting more than 200 explosives during the invasion.

Parton was honoured for his bravery by President Zelenskyy at a news conference in Kyiv with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Hawl Camp in NE Syria witnesses a second crime in 48 hours, as another woman was wounded

The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) found on Thursday a woman with a gunshot wound, east of Hasakah, northeast Syria.

A security source in the camp told North Press that the Asayish received a report that a woman was shot in the sixth sector of the camp.

The woman was transported to a hospital in the city of Hasakah, the source added.

The source said that the injured woman is a displaced Syrian, but he did not mention any further information about her condition.

At dawn on Wednesday, the Asayish found a woman killed in the stadium of the third sector. The woman was taken to the Kurdish Red Crescent point.

“The killed woman was called Hajir al-Ali, and she was shot in the head. It is likely that ISIS cell members are behind this crime.

Despite all the security measures followed in the camp by the International Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish), affiliated with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), sleeper cells of the Islamic State Organization (ISIS) are still committing murders.

The AANES was first formed in 2014 in the Kurdish-majority regions of Afrin, Kobani and Jazira in northern Syria following the withdrawal of the government forces. Later, it was expanded to Manbij, Tabqa, Raqqa, Hasakah and Deir ez-Zor after the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) defeated ISIS militarily.

Since the beginning of this year, there have been 18 killings, nine of which were against Syrians, including an employee of the Kurdish Red Crescent Organization, and eight Iraqis, according to a source in the camp.

As Turkey began to threaten to launch a military operation on Syria’s north, crimes rate and killing attempts have increased in the camp, according the source told North Press.
What an odd coincidence.
On June 1, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan renewed his threats of launching a military operation on northern Syria, and specified his targets in the two Syrian cities of Manbij and Tel Rifaat.

Hawl Camp, 45 km east of the city of Hasakah, houses 56,775 people, the majority of them are Iraqis. While thousands of wives and children of foreign ISIS members and detainees live in a special section within the camp.

Nolte: Child-grooming Backlash — Disney Stock Collapsed Nearly 50% in Year
[BREITBART] One year ago, a share of Walt Disney Co. stock was worth nearly $180. Today, it’s worth — laughably — just $93.

As Red State, who first reported on this, points out: "Disney stock has plummeted nearly 50 percent as their political-infused productions continue to turn away audiences and garner angry fan reactions."

I’ll get to that in a moment, but let’s not forget Disney’s decision to come out in favor of grooming prepubescent children with gay porn in schools. As I wrote in March, that was the brand game-changer of all brand game-changers. What Disney has done is like Skippy putting dog poop in its peanut butter, like tofu putting meat in its tofu, like Charmin putting sandpaper in its toilet paper....

By openly embracing child grooming, Disney has imploded everything the Disney brand stands for. This company is no longer a safe bet. Instead, it has betrayed itself and its customer base: normal everyday American families—you know, the 99 percent of families who would never expose a small child to a drag queen.

Allow me to put it this way... When Disney can’t open the latest chapter of its most iconic animated franchise — Toy Story — it’s all over. Disney’s woketardery has already destroyed Star Wars as a film franchise, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been hit (Dr. Strange 2) and miss (The Eternals)

Ken Griffin moving Citadel to Miami from Chicago following crime complaints
[MARKETWATCH] Billionaire Ken Griffin is relocating his big hedge-fund firm Citadel from Chicago to Miami, the third major employer to announce the move of a corporate headquarters from Illinois in the past two months.

In a letter to employees Thursday that was viewed by The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Griffin said he had personally moved to Florida and that his market-making business, Citadel Securities, would also transfer. He wrote he views Florida as a better corporate environment and though he didn’t specifically cite crime as a factor, company officials said it was a consideration.

Mr. Griffin is the wealthiest resident of Illinois, so his departure will hurt state tax collections on both the individual and corporate side. Mr. Griffin has an estimated worth of $28.9 billion and is among the world’s top 50 wealthiest, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

“Chicago will continue to be important to the future of Citadel, as many of our colleagues have deep ties to Illinois,” Mr. Griffin wrote. “Over the past year, however, many of our Chicago teams have asked to relocate to Miami, New York and our other offices around the world.” The Citadel move is expected to be a multiyear process. There are currently about 1,000 employees in Chicago and many are expected to remain.

The move, which Griffin announced in a letter to employees, will deprive Democrat-run Illinois of hundreds of millions of dollars in annual income tax revenue, a company spokesman told the Washington Free Beacon.

Griffin alone—who is worth approximately $25 billion—pays over $200 million in state income taxes every year, the spokesman said, and Citadel employees have themselves funneled over $1 billion to the state over the past decade.

Davydov Brod is in the gray zone.

Both sides are actively using artillery and missile forces.

10. Zaporozhye, Odessa, Avdievka - no change.

https://t.me/boris_rozhin - broadcast of hostilities in Ukraine as usual in Telegram (if you are interested, subscribe)

PS. It is also worth noting the statement of Lavrov, who clarified that in any negotiations, Russia will proceed from the situation "on the ground", and those territories that are already under the control of the Russian Federation are unlikely to want to return to Ukraine. A transparent hint that Zaporozhye and Kherson region are already lost for Ukraine.

Commentary by Aleksandr Kharchecko

[ColonelCassad] In March, I was walking around a big city with some very dangerous guys. The guys worked in the gray zone and sometimes went into enemy territory. We drove into one nameless forest and posted observers. It had been snowing for several days, and our track was clearly visible in the clearing. Imagine our surprise when an hour later we saw the figure of a man moving in our direction. There were no other roads here, so there was no doubt that he was following in our footsteps.

The guys spread out, made weapons and waited. The silhouette was getting closer, and our nerves were straining more and more. The man walked another 50 meters and fell to his knees ( https://t.me/bayraktar1070/25). When you find yourself under the trunks of strong men, then it is better to follow orders. The soldiers pulled his jacket over his head and took him into the forest.

We expected to see a hardened saboteur, but before us appeared a village peasant with a screwdriver and keys in his pocket. There was nothing else with him. No papers, no telephone...these are usually called village fools. Plump with an appropriate facial expression. It turned out that the uninvited guest's name was Artyom, and out of curiosity he wanted to look at the "grads" that stand in the forest ...

The legend was completely unconvincing, the absence of a telephone was even more embarrassing. At least the old push-button necessarily lies in the pocket of the poorest villager. In such cases, there are only three options: the first is to shoot and bury (then try to find who did it), the second is to hand over to counterintelligence officers, but for this you need to send the car to the base and the third is to wait for the task to end and let the poor fellow go to all four sides. By the time he reaches the village, we will be deep in the rear, and he will not be able to harm us.

The commander decided not to touch the poor fellow, especially since he agreed to live with us for two days in the forest. All this time he sat blindfolded. I had a long talk with our guest and I felt sorry for this poor fellow. Artemka turned out to be the owner of eight geese that need to be taken care of. It was problematic to do this in March, because there had been no electricity in the village for twenty days. The prisoner did not work out with women, and therefore he has no children. There was only a mother who was very worried about him, but no one would go looking for him, because he did not tell anyone about his trip. But at the same time, doubts grew more and more every hour. He was too confident. His voice did not tremble, and he answered all questions smoothly.

We spent two days together, and when the guys completed all their tasks, they simply put Artyomka on the road and told him to go to the village without turning around. We ourselves jumped into the cars and drove off in the other direction.

I later recalled this incident for a long time and was proud that our fighters act very humanely. Times were tough and it was really hard to keep humanity.

So I would be one hundred percent sure that the soldiers did the right thing if I didn’t find out that around this area the next group drove into the forest in the same way, and after some time a Ukrainian infantry fighting vehicle drove out and shot the boys’ cars. So then think about how to act correctly in such situations ...

#1  Dear Jeff - May I call you Jeff? Thank you so much.

See, here's the thing: this was, even by 2022 standards, a remarkably stupid thing to do. I, and most people with working higher brain stem functions, would never think about doing anything like this. But you somehow got it into your head that taking a piece of heavy equipment governed by Federal safety regulations six inches thick, tying yourself to it, and then having an equally logic-challenged friend spin you around, was a Good Idea. Spoiler - it wasn't.

I'm going to offer you a bit of advice: Darwin always comes out ahead, Jeff - you cannot beat the house. His rules are as ironclad as those of Newtonian physics. Now, he may or may not swat you down with the ultimate sanction, and I cannot explain why that is, but you will know it when he addresses you...and Brother, you been addressed. In this case, I shall assume that you have been given the Karmic equivalent of a two-minute warning, and you should heed it.

Reflect upon your sins, Jeff. It may well be your only - and last - opportunity to avoid what surely waits for you if you do something this moronic again.

Best Regards,

Mike

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Trial of ISIS detainees is under discussion between Global Coalition and AANES.

An official in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) said on Thursday that the mechanism for prosecuting the members of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
Organization (ISIS) is still under discussion with the US-led Global Collation to Defeat ISIS.

The detention centers in northeast Syria hold 15,000 terrorism-related inmates from Syria and from over 60 foreign nationals. The majority of them are former snuffies of ISIS, according to the data of the AANES.

Hassan al-Ahmad, the co-chair of the AANES Social Justice Council, said that the mechanism to prosecute the ISIS members is still under discussion between the AANES and the Global Collation.

ISIS detainees held in AANES prisons are an international and local dilemma and its solution requires concerted international efforts and corporation between the AANES and the Global Collation, according to al-Ahmad.

"There were previous efforts to prosecute ISIS members, however this depends on the meetings held by the parties’ officials," he added.

Al-Ahmad pointed out that in case the trial takes place, the area in which the detainees are supposed to serve the sentence needs more cooperation and coordination between the abovementioned parties.

The trial of former ISIS detainees is taking place in People’s Defense Courts affiliated with the Social Justice Council.

In October 9, 2021, the general council of the AANES approved the unification of the law to prosecute Syrians accused of terrorism cases.

Russian troops threw all their forces into the capture of the Luhansk region - Gaidai -- UPDATED
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Vesti] Fighting continues on all fronts.

Russia has thrown all its forces to occupy the entire Lugansk region in the near future. This was stated by the head of the Lugansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai.

"Many protective structures have already been destroyed in the Severodonetsk industrial zone, we do not exclude the possibility of leaving for new, more fortified positions," the head of the region noted.

He added that now Lisichansk is under heavy shelling.

“We continue to support the life of the city, humanitarian cargo is delivered daily, the “quiet” evacuation continues - about 40 people left today,” Gaidai said.

If Severodonetsk is occupied, the people hiding in Azot's shelters will become hostages of the Russians. The exit will be only to the occupied part of the Lugansk region.

According to the head of the OVA, the Russians have already begun the so-called "filtering" in the recently occupied territories.

"The hunt for activists and people involved in military affairs, relatives of such categories of people are also in sight. Men are forced to go to war against Ukraine, that is, they are used as" cannon fodder," - added the head of the Luhansk region.

Russian troops capture two more villages in Luhansk region - Gaidai
ANASTASIA WHEAT

[Vesti] Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to restrain Russians in Severodonetsk and Sirotin.

The Russian military captured two more settlements in the Lugansk region. Loskutovka and Rai-Aleksandrovka have been under the control of the Russian army since yesterday.

This was announced by the head of the Lugansk OVA Serhiy Gaidai in Telegram.

According to him, the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to restrain the Russians in Severodonetsk and Sirotin, repel attacks from Zolote and Volcheyarovka.

"The invaders are destroying industry in Severodonetsk. This time, the territories of a brick factory, Stekloplastika, as well as a factory of chemical non-standardized equipment were hit by fire. The building of the second entrance was damaged," writes Gaidai.

Also, Lisichansk was shelled several times during June 22. Destruction was recorded in one of the city's schools.

The head of the region said that over the past day three people were injured, they were hospitalized in hospitals in Kramatorsk and Pavlograd.

“Late the day before yesterday, the body of a man was found with no signs of life, with injuries received during shelling. New destructions were counted in Novoivanovka (eight houses), Gorny (eight), Zolotoy (nine),” Gaidai notes.

In addition, yesterday the Russian army carried out air strikes on Verkhnekamenka, Severodonetsk and Sirotin, air and missile strikes on Gorny.

From Ukrainian military journalist Yuri Butusov
[Facebook] We left Severodonetsk. Tonight Ukrainian units organized left part of the industrial zone of Siverodonetska. In the area of the front where I was, the departure came under fire, but no casualties.

#1  The fact the Russians haven't captured Severodonetsk despite having thrown the bulk of their army at it speaks volumes to their abilities.

Now they could very well cut it off with their attack from the south and turn it into a Ukrainian Stalingrad, but the fact that thrust has so far been blunted again speaks well of their abilities.

We'll see if the Russians have more men than Ukrainian bullets to accomplish this.

#2  ^^They'll push their Luhansk and Donetsk conscripts in first to deplete the Ukrainian bullets, Darth.

That's what the Bear has done in all the major offensives against entrenched UA positions.

Russian law prohibits the use of their own conscripts in combat (the law which they sometimes follow), but the 'separatists' are not considered of the same cloth.

#5  Severodonetsk has fallen. The Ukrainian governor Gaidai announced this am that Ukrainian troops have been ordered to abandon the city.

Lysychansk will fall in the next couple of days. The "order to abandon Lysychansk could come at any moment," according to a Ukrainian officer holed up there.

in the last two days the Russians have taken three major towns in the immediate area - Severodonetsk and the "Mountain cauldron" of Gorsky and Zolotoye - and have killed up to 1,000 Ukrainian troops. Some 100 or so western soldiers of fortune are also trapped along with 180 "Right Sector" neo-Nazi shock troops.

Captured Ukrainians report almost total disarray on the Ukrainian side, including officers abandoning their men and fleeing, replacements in the form of civilians-in-uniform given a rifle and sent after 5 days of training from their homes in the west to the meat grinder in Luhansk.

#6  The Russians are controlling the tempo and are taking their sweet time. As Col. Douglas MacGregor put it this week on Andrew Napolitano's programme, they are "calmly and methodically annihilating any Ukrainian force that shows up" in Luhansk.

So long as Zelensky keeps ignoring his general Zaluzhny and throws Ukraine's remaining forces into kessel after kessel, the Russians will continue this slow, steady annihilation.

Who is inducing Zelensky to be so foolish?

Lisichansk in the operational environment
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military blogger Andrey Chervonets

Russian troops occupied Volcheyarovka. Lisichansk is now almost completely blocked

. The road through Seversk remains. Physically, it was not cut, but it was covered with artillery in the Seversk region before. After reaching Volcheyarovka, it became possible to directly shoot through the road to Lisichansk, as a result of which both main supply routes for the Severodonetsk grouping were no longer safe.

The grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the new boiler has a strength of 5,000 to 7,000 people.

Ukrainian TG channels report that Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Zaluzhny urgently requested the evacuation of the entire grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Severodonetsk Loop.

On Zelensky, he ordered Zaluzhny to transfer the reserves of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from the Belarusian border to the eastern front. The General Staff was told that it should prevent the encirclement of Lisichansk and should organize a breakthrough for the APU grouping in Zolote. That is, in Kyiv they persist. The better, the more it will grind.

Meanwhile, the RF Armed Forces are storming the dominant heights in Berestovoye, which allows them to control the route from Lisichansk to Bakhmut (Artemovsk).

In the Gorskoye-Zolotoye area, separate detachments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to resist. Presumably, about a thousand more VSUs remain to be boiled in the boiler. It includes units of the 24th, 57th mechanized brigades. All Ukrainian prisoners of war who were taken in this area say that they were forcibly transferred to the front, no one wanted to take part in hostilities.

Data from the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on Ukrainian losses:

- In the 34th battalion of the 57th Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which was defeated near Mirna Dolina (LPR), more than 150 people were killed and about 450 were wounded in 2 days, the junior command staff abandoned their subordinates and deserted;

- In the units of the 30th Mechanized Brigade near Klinovoye (DPR), as a result of fire damage by Russian troops, less than 50 percent of the personnel remained, more than 170 soldiers and officers of the command were evacuated with severe injuries.

#1  Severodonetsk has fallen. Ukrainian troops withdrew this morning.

Lysychansk will fall today or this weekend. More towns outside of Lysychansk have been captured, and a Ukrainian officer tells western journalists that "the order to withdraw from Lysychansk could come at any moment."

Why they decided to make a stand in thee two cities is beyond me. Apparently the little T-shirt guy ignored his general staff recommendation and threw more Ukrainian troops into the kesselschlacht. Who ordered him to do such a stupid thing?
Posted by: Palmerston || 06/24/2022 7:01 Comments || Top||

#2  Another kessel/cauldron (or "boiler") has closed -- about 2,000 more Ukrainian regulars, neo-Nazis and foreign soldiers of fortune are trapped in and near Gorsky ("Mountain").

In total, up to two thousand people are now blocked in the "Gorsky Cauldron": about 1,800 military personnel, 120 Nazis of the "Right Sector", up to 80 foreign mercenaries; as well as more than 40 units of armored combat vehicles and about 80 guns and mortars

In the last 24 hours alone, 41 servicemen in the area abandoned resistance and voluntarily surrendered.

According to the prisoners, the encircled Ukrainian group is exhausted. The staffing of the units is less than 40%. The management of the units by the higher Ukrainian command has been lost. The supply of weapons, ammunition, fuel and other material means has been completely stopped.

The Russian troops are squeezing the ring of the "Mountain Cauldron", inflicting continuous fire damage on the enemy. During yesterday, half of the settlement of ZOLOTOYE was taken under control.

But it can be assumed that Zelensky will still understand that, despite the kind words that sounded from the EU this week, this is all he will get. As far as possible EU membership is concerned, one has to wait and see, perhaps for a very long time. This is something he can safely put on the back burner."

Perspective from the Breakaway Republics: Invasion of Ukraine: June 23rd, 2022
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[NewsFrontInfo] 22:15 The Aidar militants at the Azot plant in Severodonetsk declared their readiness to surrender, Special Correspondent Kurlayeva said.

21:35 The need to save the lives of people who have become hostages of Ukrainian terrorists complicates the liberation of the Republic. This was stated by the head of the LNR Leonid Pasechnik.

“The task is (to liberate the Republic from the Kyiv security forces), the task must be completed at all costs. And at the same time, the task is complicated by the fact that we need to preserve the life and health of our citizens to the maximum, who are hostages of those terrorists who rule Ukraine today at the state level, I can’t call it any other way,” Pasechnik said.

21:35 Residents of Ukraine have become hostages of Ukrainian terrorism and propaganda, elevated to the rank of state. This was stated by the head of the LNR Leonid Pasechnik.

“(Inhabitants of Ukraine have become) hostages of Ukrainian terrorism, terrorism, which has been introduced to the rank of state. I take it that way. Our people are there (in the liberated territories), but they are really intimidated,” the leader of the Republic stated.

20:07 The world today with "Yury Podolyak" reports that the agony of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Lysychansk is an escape under fire. The situation near Lisichansk is developing rapidly, as it should be during the agony.

Zolotoye is completely cleared of the enemy, Gorskoe is almost completely. Apparently, the troops from here for the most part left on their own, and what is left without a fight surrenders. Most likely, by the morning the boiler will be finished (By the number of prisoners, we will determine how successful the exit from the boiler was)

It seems that the order for the retreat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was received and the units went on a breakthrough. Russian aviation was raised into the sky, artillery in this area is working closely along the Seversk-Lysichansk road, trying to destroy everything that moves along it. Everything is very much like the flight of the Armed Forces of Ukraine from Ilovaisk, only on a much larger scale.

19:55 The consequences of the shelling of Donetsk by the armed forces of Ukraine. 38 artillery shells with a NATO caliber of 155 mm were fired at the city, the representative office of the Donetsk People's Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire said.

19:48 The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that the forces of the 1st Army Corps of the DPR have captured Nikolaevka.

Taking control of Nikolaevka means that Russian troops and the DPR army can now set up a checkpoint on the Lisichansk-Artemovsk highway and the road becomes not a travel road, even theoretically.

19:39 Shelling was recorded from the side of the VFU in the direction:

— n.p. Codema - n.p. Bayrak: fired five shells of 122mm caliber.

19:22 The forces of the LPR and Russia will be able to close the ring around Lisichansk within two to three days. This was stated by the head of the Republic Leonid Pasechnik.

“Roughly speaking, a couple more days, I don’t want to predict, we will close the ring. I think then the issue of the release of Lisichansk will go a little faster. We really hope so. Difficult, but worth the task"

19:00 The entire territory of the Luhansk People's Republic will be liberated, judging by the trend, in the near future. This was announced on Thursday by the official representative of the People's Militia of the LNR, Ivan Filiponenko.

“The whole situation is aimed at the fact that the territory of the LPR, judging by the trend, will be liberated, I believe, in the near future.”

19:00 According to the official representative of the NM of the DPR: since the beginning of the current day, according to information from the JCCC of the DPR, the enemy has fired more than two hundred and thirty shells from multiple launch rocket systems BM-27 "Hurricane", BM-21 "Grad", cannon artillery with a caliber of 155mm, 152mm, and 122mm.

The fire was fired at the areas of nine settlements of the Republic. As a result of the shelling, two civilians were killed and four were injured. Twenty-one residential buildings, ten civilian infrastructure facilities and three vehicles were damaged.

Additional information about injured civilians and damage to infrastructure is being specified.

During the current day, the joint actions of the military personnel of the Donetsk People's Republic and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation destroyed the following enemy weapons and military equipment: one installation of the BM-21 Grad MLRS, two trucks. Two enemy firing points were suppressed in the areas of the settlement. Avdeevka and Krasnogorovka.

Netflix Massacre: 300 Employees Axed in Largest Layoff Since Subscriber Downturn
[BREITBART] The bloodletting at Netflix continued on Thursday as the far-left-wing streamer axed an additional 300 employees worldwide, or about 3 percent of its workforce — the company’s largest layoff since its subscriber downturn in the first quarter.
Start with the Obamas. They haven't done shit
Netflix handed out pink slips to 216 staffers in the U.S. and Canada, with the remainder of the cuts coming from other regions throughout the world. according to an official statement sent to multiple news outlets.

In May, the streamer laid off 150 employees, or 2 percent of its workforce, as part of its ongoing efforts to cut spending amid a catastrophic subscriber forecast for the months ahead. Netflix said it could lose up to 2 million subscribers in the coming months after unexpectedly losing 200,000 customers in the first quarter of the year.

#1  This is only a small beginning. This will ripple throughout America. Occurring now massively but not reported except for something like this corporation. Disney another. People are unable or unwilling to spend. Inventories build, projected volumes not met each day. Example one major retailer projected to do $8000 Thursday was at $3000 at 4PM. Solution; cut hours, cut back stock. Next cut workers. Always those in high paying positions now actively targeted. Yes, even in research lab sciences. If not cut, cross trained. Answer phones as secretaries are gone, HA, take out the trash. Degrees and OH, vacations deleted. Look for another company; no way, they are having the same problems.

#8  Start with the Obamas. They haven't done shit

...In fairness, they were never supposed to, other than turn out a 'special' or two, then turn over the bulk of it to the DNC. The difficulty was that Netflix couldn't just hand over that much money in a lump sum, so they had to stretch it out...and it ain't there anymore.

#9  Train to Busan is my favorite zombie movie. Thought Voltron: Legendary Defender was pretty tight.

There is a lot of garbage, or worse, political payoffs and pederasty.
