That is good. Our civilization does need a more efficient and less toxic battery despite of "climate change". We will only consume more things that need electricity and non-toxic batteries will be vital.

I was gobsmacked by the commercial for the new Ford electric F-150 pickup: They showed the owner proudly plugging his battery into his garage and powering his house during a power failure. D'Oh! What happens first: the electric company fixes the outage or the driver (and his family!) are stranded with no means of transportation?

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Indians have a new name. In a video released to social media on Friday, the franchise announced that it will be known as the "Cleveland Guardians" beginning in 2022.
In the video, narrated by Tom Hanks and featuring the Black Keys, the team also released its new logos, which will maintain the Indians' red and navy blue color scheme. One logo features a new, stylized 'C', while the other features a 'G' with guardians wings. The team also has new fonts for both a block 'Cleveland' and script 'Guardians," reminiscent of the current wordmarks worn on the team's uniforms.

The really stupid thing is that the Indians were originally named the Indians in order to HONOR a native American player who had died.

....As a lifelong fan, I'm a little disappointed, but I also realize it could have been far worse.
What I was hoping for was the team's original name before the Indians - the Spiders. There was some fan artwork out there from Cleveland that showed what they could have done with that.
In the meantime, however, they can have my Chief Wahoo jersey once they tear it out of my cold, dead hands.

[Ay-Pee] American Airlines and Southwest Airlines both posted second-quarter profits on Thursday thanks to generous federal pandemic relief that covers most of their labor costs. Certainly, all Rantburgers are thrilled to have their Grandchildren paying for this year's airline profits.
The reports on Thursday underscored the progress that airlines are making in rebuilding after the coronavirus crushed air travel ‐ and how much farther they must go to fully recover.
American eked out a second-quarter profit of $19 million due to nearly $1.5 billion in taxpayer support. Southwest reported a profit of $348 million, including $724 million in federal help. Southwest made fifty cent on the federal dollar; American, not so good.
Southwest said it made money in June even without the government aid and hopes to be profitable by any measure in the third and fourth quarters if the pandemic doesn't get worse. Hat tip to Mrs. Bobby's Dallas Morning News, who won't let me read it online without signing up.

In a way it makes sense, since the reason(s) they would not have been (even more) profitable were entirely government-created.
[NBC] Mercedes-Benz maker Daimler plans to invest more than 40 billion euros, or $47 billion, between 2022 and 2030 to develop battery-electric vehicles, and be ready for an all-electric car market by 2030.
Outlining its strategy for an electric future, the German luxury carmaker said on Thursday it would, with partners, build eight battery plants as it ramps up EV production, and that from 2025 all new vehicle platforms would only make electric cars.
"We really want to go for it ... and be dominantly, if not all electric, by the end of the decade," Chief Executive Ola Källenius told Reuters, adding that spending on traditional combustion-engine technology would be "close to zero" by 2025.
This from a country with seemingly less and less electric power generation. Are they going to FU their Sprinter vans too? We've got one with a leetle diesel that can do the job on our motorhome -- gets great mileage.

I remember I had a used C200 diesel. First thing I did was change the horn, headlamps and remove the hood ornament. I had a paint job done on it, dark grey. I looked for an AMG logo to put on it but couldn't find one. I bought a Passat turbo diesel after it died. And an Accord diesel after that. Haven't looked under the hood for years now. Tech is a good thing, but the romance is dying.
[Breitbart] U.S. Customs and Border Protection reached a 300,000 migrant got-away count for Fiscal Year 2021, according to an agency source speaking on the condition of anonymity. This figure represents the total number of migrants who avoid capture.
The total reached 250,000 in June. Nearly 50,000 escaped over the last 30 days. According to the source, on average, 1,600 migrants avoid capture daily. In 2020, 69,000 migrants managed to avoid apprehension by the Border Patrol.
The metric is usually not officially released. It is achieved by counting migrants who ultimately escape apprehension after being observed by surveillance systems. Border Patrol agents also use traditional sign-cutting techniques to spot footprints. It is not a perfect investigative method. Sources say the got-away count is usually lower than reality.
During this fiscal year, which began in October, more than 1 million migrants have been apprehended along the southern border. The June Southwest Border Land Encounters Report released by U.S. Customs and Border Protection showed a massive increase in apprehensions when compared to the same period one year earlier when agents apprehended only 129,077 migrants. From February 1 to June 30, Border Patrol agents apprehended 791,571 migrants who illegally crossed the border from Mexico.
This overwhelming surge in migrant traffic has led to overcrowding of Border Patrol facilities and has hampered the agency’s ability to patrol all areas of the border due to the humanitarian work required to care for and process detainees. This, according to the source, dilutes the accuracy of the count.

Parchuting caution: If you are a static line jumper and you discover you still have this in your hand upon exiting the aircraft, you may have a problem.

/\ Actually, twisted suspension lines are not that uncommon. Poorly executed door exit can bring it on.
First thing you do as the canopy opens is look up and check the lines. If twisted, reach up as high on each riser as you can and pull them apart while bicycling your skinny legs in the opposite direction of the twist like a sob. Never had any that would not straight up and fly right.
A little bit trickier on a night jump.... along with everything else.

[DaylyMail] - For the second consecutive year, race relations between black and white in the US are at their lowest point in more than two decades, and there's a 20-point gap in how white and black Americans view the future.
A Gallup poll published on Wednesday found 42 percent of Americans say relations between the two racial groups are 'very' or 'somewhat' good as opposed to 57 percent say they are 'somewhat' or 'very' bad.
The percentage of black people with a positive rating of race relations has slumped to 33 percent, while for white people it is 43 percent. So, they do remember that Jim Crow was preceded by Reconstruction (https://www.britannica.com/event/Reconstruction-United-States-history).
Last year, the same poll found black-white relations for 44percent positive in the aftermath of George Floyd's murder and the subsequent nationwide protests and calls for racial justice.
And only 40 percent of black adults are optimistic there will be racial harmony, as opposed to 60percent of white adults, according to the poll by Gallup, which is a Washington DC-based analytics and advisory company.

It appears the root cause of the sudden drop in race relations in 2014 was the 'suicide by cop' by Michael Brown which was rapidly transformed into allegedly commonplace execution of young black men by police by the media and politicians, and the elevation of BLM (Burn Loot Murder?) into THE dominant liberal 'civil rights' organization (rather than the Marxist front group it really is.)

[NYP] - Chimpanzees have been seen killing gorillas in unprovoked attacks for the first time, scientists said.
...In the first attack in December 2019, more than two dozen chimps went after five gorillas.
...While the adult gorillas were able to escape, the infant separated from its mother didn’t survive, the study said.
Researchers said a similar attack occurred in February 2019 that also left an infant gorilla dead.
But instead of the slain gorilla being left alone, the "infant in the second encounter was almost entirely consumed by one adult chimpanzee female," the study said.
The researchers, who are from the Osnabruck University and the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology in Germany, said the encounters were wildly different from how the two species typically interact with each other.
While both species can be territorial and violent, fights happen almost exclusively within their own species.

[BBC] The western Mexican state of Sinaloa is home to the country's most powerful and bloody drug cartel. The money it generates has left its imprint on the relationships between narcos and young women - and fuelled a local obsession with plastic surgery.

"A smaller, defined waist... Wider hips with bigger buttocks... And if we're talking breasts, they're generally large," says Martinez.
A woman with this hyper-feminised, exaggerated silhouette is often referred to as la buchona in Mexico - especially if she has a taste for flashy, designer goods and has a narco lover.

"They compete with each other - who has the best body, or the tiniest waist."
[Washington Examiner] Seven Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats demanded the FBI explain its use of a novel tip line implemented during a supplemental background investigation into then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in 2018.
In a Tuesday letter to Director Chris Wray, Democratic senators accused the FBI of being "politically constrained by the Trump White House," demanding to know what extent the agency vetted tips and whether the administration prevented it from doing so.
The letter was written by Sens. Dick Durbin, Patrick Leahy, Chris Coons, Cory Booker, Mazie Hirono, Sheldon Whitehouse, and Richard Blumenthal. probably written by one of their semi-literate aides. This group of imbeciles couldn't keep a straight sentence
The accusation comes in response to a June 30 letter from Jill Tyson, assistant director for the FBI's Office of Congressional Affairs, addressed to Whitehouse and Coons detailing the agency’s supplemental background investigation into sexual assault allegations levied against Kavanaugh after he was nominated by former President Donald Trump to serve on the Supreme Court.

Ref #6: After watching their cock-ups for over 25 year I have come to the conclusion their source recruitment operations are a miserable POS. It's a numbers and convictions game for them. Crime prevention appears to be a secondary goal.
If you are ever unlucky enough to be interrogated by them, say nothing until your (personally hired) attorney arrives.
If your attorney isn't armed with a para with recorder and note pad in hand, continue to say nothing and get another attorney.

[American Thinker] For months, bloggers on the fringe of alternative media have been characterizing COVID-19 and its aftermath as a "plandemic" that had been planned out during two pandemic simulations: SPARS in 2017 and Event 201 in 2019. These conferences were supposedly organized to anticipate the policies and resources that would be needed to fight the next pandemic. Believers in the plandemic scenario discussed parallels between these simulations and today's pandemic that ranged from the concrete to the fanciful, but neither proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that COVID-19 had been planned. Then along came testimony from the chair of M-CAM, an international finance company that keeps track of patent applications.
Patent records accessed by M-CAM show that not once, but twice, U.S. drug companies colluded with government agencies to patent treatments before two disease outbreaks took place. First, between the CDC and Sequoia Pharmaceuticals for treating SARS in 2003. Second, between Moderna and NIAID in November 2019 for treating COVID-19. Martin points out that the holdings of Sequoia were later rolled into Pfizer, Crucell, and Johnson & Johnson. It is no coincidence that two of these three companies (along with Moderna) are now producing vaccines for COVID.
Reiner Fuellmich's interview with Dr. Martin last week is the closest thing to a smoking gun, but Martin's testimony is so dense and prolonged that even the summary provided under the video in the link is hard to process (kudos to the blogger who wrote it). This may be the main reason Martin's shocking revelations are not dominating the alternative media. This interview with Stew Peters is more accessible to dummies like myself.
The collusion between the government and Big Pharma is but a fraction of what remains to be unpacked. Consequently, I will leave it to others to clarify what Dr. Martin means when says there was "no SARS outbreak" or that COVID-19 (which he refers to as SARS-Cov2) is "indistinguishable" from SARS. Sorry to leave you hanging, but I fear not doing justice to what these statements really mean!

[algemeiner] Israel is examining possible changes to its operational plans against the Iranian nuclear program in order to contend with a US reentry to the 2015 nuclear deal.
According to Walla, the IDF and the Mossad have emphasized to Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and the government generally that while it is necessary to prepare for the possibility of an Israeli air strike on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, such an approach would be greatly complicated by a renewed nuclear deal.
One source in the security establishment told Walla that if Iran cuts a new deal with the US, "It’ll be a problem to bomb from the air."
Moreover, the IDF has told Bennett that its latest assessment has found that the IDF is still not at full readiness for a major conflict with Iran.
Given all this, the IDF and the Mossad stressed that Israel should develop multiple operational plans, which could be put into operation whether the US signs a new deal with Iran or not.
The goal of such operations would not be to destroy Iran’s nuclear program in a single blow, but to sabotage, disrupt, and delay the program indefinitely through surgical strikes and intelligence operations.
This would be in keeping with current policy, which has seen major accidents, sabotage, and assassinations related to Iran’s nuclear program, most of which are believed to be the result of Israeli intelligence activity.
To continue and expand this campaign, the IDF and the Mossad are likely to request more funds and greater resources — as such intelligence operations are usually very expensive.

[Just The News] epublican Reps. Jim Jordan, Mike Johnson, and Dan Bishop sent a letter to the White House and Facebook on Thursday demanding answers about the Biden administration’s announcement that it would work with Facebook to flag "misinformation" posts to censor.
In their letter, the three Republicans argue that the Biden administration and other groups "encourage cellular communications carriers to surreptitiously spy on Americans in an effort to silence speech disfavored by the Biden Administration" and that the White House had said it was flagging posts for Facebook to remove as "misinformation."
Jordan, who is the ranking member of the House Judiciary committee, asked both White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator Jeffrey Zients and Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg for documents on what the Biden administration considers misinformation that should be removed.
They are also asking for documents of communication between the Biden administration and Facebook identifying content that should be censored.
"These efforts target speech that the Biden Administration and its allies view as 'misinformation' would have grave consequences for Americans' First and Fourth Amendment rights," Jordan said.

I don't think Facebook has to be told anything. It is one of the globalist corpo entities propping up this Coup Cuck's Clan.

[TFB] When it comes to handling your firearms in any capacity or context, nothing is more important than safety. Everyone should know the basic firearms safety rules inside and out before they ever get on a live-fire range. Beyond those fundamentals like keeping your gun pointed in a safe direction and keeping your finger off of the trigger until fully ready to fire, there are plenty of additional facets to consider. Owning good quality equipment and taking proper care of it are also key. One element that tends to get less attention is ammo selection. Particularly these days, with high prices and scarce availability, we tend to take what ammo we can get. Unfortunately, especially with the last year’s proliferation of first-time gun owners who may not know any better, this could cause bad rounds to fall into unsuspecting hands, including some subject to recall.

[DW] A group of migrants colonists from sub-Saharan Africa managed to scale the fences at Melilla's border in a large group, a common tactic to avoid capture. It was the latest in a series of breaches of the Moroccan border with Spain.
Some 230 migrants colonists entered Spain's North African enclave of Melilla on Thursday, the Spanish delegation in the territory said.
The men, who mostly came from sub-Saharan Africa, scaled the 6-meter (20-foot) border fence and rushed into the enclave. Three Spanish coppers and 18 of the migrants colonistswere maimed, Spanish state TV broadcaster RTVE reported.
In a statement, the Spanish government delegation in Melilla said "a huge influx" of migrants colonists had tried to cross the border at 6:50 a.m..
Despite the fact that the border fence was equipped with "anti-intrusion" measures, the men used "hooks" to scale it, the statement read.
Video footage posted by local newspaper El Faro de Melilla showed the migrants colonists walking down a street shouting "victory, victory" and "asylum, asylum." They were taken to an emergency reception center and put into quarantine, a COVID precaution.
TENSION BETWEEN MADRID AND RABATT
Spain controls two autonomous towns in North Africa: Ceuta on the Strait of Gibraltar and Melilla, 250 kilometers to the east. Both are protected by fences fortified with barbed wire, video cameras and watchtowers. They effectively constitute gateways into the EU on the African continent.
Tens of thousands of Africans are currently waiting near Ceuta and Melilla.
The rushing of the fence in groups is a common occurrence, but Thursday's incident comes at a time of tension between Morocco and Spain. Two months prior, more than 8,000 people entered Spain's other enclave of Ceuta, when Moroccan guards let them pass, seeminlgy to punish Spain, during a diplomatic disagreement between the two countries.
Madrid had angered Morocco by allowing the leader of Western Sahara's independence movement into Spain for treatment for a severe case of COVID-19.
Most of the refugees arriving in Melilla, a Spanish exclave in Northern Africa, are Syrians, Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... is and Algerians. But no blacks apply for asylum at the border.
It can’t be good for China’s fragile financial situation — all that public and private debt — that the price of oil has gone up so much and so quickly.
[Rudaw] A financial advisor to Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi said on Thursday that nearly half of the country’s oil exports go to China, which is now the number one market for Iraqi oil.
"China is the first market for the Iraqi oil exports, and it alone consumes about 40-44 percent of Iraqi oil exports, with about 800,000 barrels of oil per day," Mazhar Mohammed Salih told state media.
"A small portion of these exports is the dues of oil service contracts for Chinese companies operating in Iraq, to which 100,000 barrels per day were recently added," he added.
The Iraqi government is dependent on oil revenues to cover its costs and pay the salaries of civil servants. Record low oil prices during the pandemic last year caused a financial crisis in Iraq, but a recent boost in oil markets and the central bank’s decision in December to devalue dinar against the dollar have eased the crisis.
According to the oil ministry’s latest monthly report, Iraq exported 86.7 million barrels of oil in June, with an average daily export of 2.9 million barrels. The exports brought in $6.1 billion, selling at around $70 per barrel.
[AlAhram] The migrants colonists, who included 65 Moroccans, 62 Bangladeshis and 15 Egyptians, and who were aged between 15 and 48, set off from Libyan coast overnight Friday to Saturday, Tunisian defence ministry front man Mohammed Zekri said
Tunisia rescued Thursday 166 migrants colonists stranded at sea for nearly a week, recovering the bodies of 16 others who died attempting the dangerous Mediterranean crossing to Europe, security officials said.
Their boat broke down off neighbouring Tunisia near the southern port Zarzis.
National Guard front man Houcem Eddine Jebabli confirmed 16 of the group had died on board, and said investigations were underway to determine the cause of death.
The route between Libya and Europa ...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum... is considered the most dangerous one across the Mediterranean.
Over 890 people are known to have died attempting to cross the Mediterranean so far this year, a rise of 130 percent on the same period of last year, the International Organization for Migration said last week.
Since the start of summer, the number of crossings have increased as migrants colonists take advantage of the good weather and calmer seas.
Despite being plunged into chaos after the fall of Moamer Qadaffy's regime in 2011, Libya has become a favoured springboard for migrants colonists seeking what they believe will be a better life in Europe.

[AlAhram] Tajikistan checked the combat readiness of its armed forces in the biggest such exercise in the country's history as the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... makes sweeping gains in neighbouring Afghanistan
The 230,000 members of the Central Asian country's security forces were alerted for the test at 4 am (0100 GMT Wednesday) on the order of President Emomali Rakhmon.
Dushanbe also relocated 20,000 troops to strengthen its force on the border with Afghanistan.
The Taliban in recent weeks have brought huge swathes of Afghanistan under their control as foreign troops draw down, including the main Shir Khan Bandar border crossing with Tajikistan.
The military inspection was the first of its kind in the ex-Soviet country's 30-year history.
It involved testing of all weapons used by the Tajik army, including ground, aviation and artillery forces.
The operation was broadcast on Tajik state television ... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
and ended with a military parade headed by Rakhmon in which he called on Tajiks to be "ready to defend peace and stability" in the region.
"The situation in our neighbouring country -- the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Afghanistan -- especially in its northern regions that border our country -- remains extremely complex and uncertain," Rakhmon said.
"It is getting more complicated day by day and even hour by hour," he said.
He called on the armed forces and law enforcement agencies to "ensure the highest level of combat readiness to prevent potential threats" and to "ensure the protection of the state border".
Rakhmon, who has led Tajikistan since 1994, then spoke to his Russian ally, President Vladimir Putin ...President-for-Life of Russia. He gets along well with other presidents for life. He is credited with bringing political stability and re-establishing something like the rule of law, which occasionally results in somebody dropping dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substance. Under Putin, a new group of business magnates controlling significant swathes of Russia's economy has emerged, all of whom have close personal ties to him. The old bunch, without close personal ties to Putin, are in jail or in exile or dead from poisoning by polonium or other interesting substances... The Kremlin said the pair discussed the situation in Afghanistan and that the phone call took place "on the initiative of the Tajik side".
The test comes after Russia said it would stage military drills with Tajikistan and Uzbekistan near the border with Afghanistan next month.
The Taliban's offensive has seen a stream of Afghans make their way across the Tajik border.
That’s consistent with what they’ve done every time they got the upper hand.
[ToloNews] Unidentified button men reportedly have killed "over a 100 civilians" in Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province, sources familiar with the matter said on Thursday.
The Afghan Ministry of Interior (MoI) confirmed the report, saying these non-combatants were killed without any reason.
The Afghan government blamed the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... for the murder of civilians.
"The brutal holy warriors on the order of their Punjabi bosses (Pakistain) ambushed the homes of the innocent Afghans in certain areas of Spin Boldak, looted the homes and martyred 100 innocent people," said Mirwais Stanekzai, a front man for the Ministry of Interior.
"This unveils the real face of the cruel enemy," added Stanekzai.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shootout, Butch started the buffalo stampeding...... a member of Kandahar's provincial council has said that two of his sons were taken from their home a day before Eid began and both were killed by the unidentified button men.
The Taliban has denied any involvement in the killing of civilians.
Fida Mohammad Afghan, a member of Kandahar's provincial council, said that unidentified button men took his two sons out of the house a day before Eid and then killed them. Afghan is a resident of Spin Boldak.
Afghan said that his sons were not associated with any military group.
"They say that they were not associated with the movement (Taliban), but whoever they are, they must be apprehended and they must be brought to justice," said Fida Mohammad Afghan, a member of the Kandahar provincial council.
"Some people say they have taken away 380 people, and those who were killed are still lying there," said Fida Mohammad Afghan.
According to the Afghan security agencies, the dead bodies of several civilians are still lying on the ground in Spin Boldak.
Afghan security authorities have blamed the Taliban for the murders.
"They (Taliban) even resorted to the looting of the homes of civilians and govertment offices including the destruction of public infrastructure," said Rohullah Ahmadzai, a front man for the Ministry of Defense. "They also assassinated the civilians," Ahmadzai further said.
Taliban front man Zabihullah Mujahid rejected the allegations.
"They (Taliban) conduct these acts on the orders of their masters, they want to give the color of an ethnic war to their proxy war," said Stanekzai.
"People who are in battle zones shouldn’t be harmed. Harming the families is a prohibited move," said MP Gul Ahmad Kamin.
Currently, Spin Boldak district is under the control of the Taliban.
[ToloNews] At least 19 security force members, including three public uprising force members, were killed in a new spate of fighting between Afghan cops and the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... in the past 24 hours, security sources said on Thursday. This follows a relative calm reported across the country during the first and second day of Eid.
There are reports that the security forces have left Marjah and Garmsir districts in southern Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... province. The Taliban are now controlling these districts, the sources said.
"This is a tactical move, the security forces were relocated to Lashkargah city due to some problems in restarting operations there," said Karim Ata, a member of Parliament from Helmand.
According to the sources, there is heavy fighting taking place between the Afghan cops and the Taliban in the Ghazi Abad district of Kunar province ... which is right down the road from Chitral. Kunar is Haqqani country..... Afghan security authorities have said that security forces during this period killed "60 Taliban fighters" in various parts of the country.
Battles have been reported in Helmand, Kapisa, Kunduz, Takhar, Badakhshan, Pashtun-infested Logar, Kandahar and Jawzjan provinces.
"Fighting occurred between the local commanders and the Taliban in the Dara-e-Farakhsha area in Nejrab district of Kapisa, the Taliban sustained heavy casualties as a result, we also had three deaders from the local forces," said Mir Haidar Afzali, the head of Parliament’s defense commission.
"They have laid a siege around Ghazi Abad, there are no supply routes to deliver food," said Iqbal Saeed, the governor of Kunar.
Based on the reports, 13 districts in Faryab have fallen to the Taliban and the security forces are deployed only in Aqina and Andkhoi ports and the capital city of Maimana.
Local officials in Faryab said that many people from PD1 of Maimana city have fled their homes.
"Two days ago there were some movements from the opponents, but the security and defense forces repelled them," said Enayatullah Kamal, the governor of Faryab.
The Afghan Ministry of Defense stated that security forces will retake areas from the Taliban.
"The security forces will push back the Taliban from the area, they will liberate the area," said Fawad Aman, a deputy front man for the Ministry of Defense.
Since the official announcement of the US forces' withdrawal, 215 districts--including several economically-important port areas--are now in the hands of the Taliban.
[KHOU] In June, DHS said non-essential travel at land and ferry crossings with Canada and Mexico were closed through July 21. So lemme get straight: You can't drive or ride a ferry across the border for non-essential purposes but you can wade across the Rio Grande for any reason whatsoever?
While people can still fly back and forth, the land and ferry crossings between the U.S. and Mexico have been closed for non-essential travel since the start of the pandemic.
According to the Department of Homeland Security announcement today, the crossings remain closed.

[NPASYRIA] On Wednesday night, a young man sustained fractures in different parts of his body after he was beaten by Ottoman Turkish border guards (gendarmerie) while trying to cross the Syrian-Ottoman Turkish border near the city of Derbasiya, north of Hasakah, northeastern Syria.
"The 21-year-old Hammoud al-Jassem arrived late at night and he could hardly walk as as his legs and ribs were broken as a result of being beaten," a medical source at the Martyr Khabat Hospital in the city told North Press.
"The gendarmerie beat him and threw him back into Syrian territory after stealing his money and phone," the source added, quoting al-Jassem.
On March 10, a child lost his life by the gendarmerie’s bullets while he was trying to cross the border to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the decaying remnant of the Ottoman Empire... with his family near the town of Abu Rasin in the countryside of Derbasiya.

The IR imager on -17 has been funky since the start, supposedly a heat pipe issue.

"Well, the trend lines that all of us see today are certainly troubling. The Taliban are making significant military advances; they're probably in the strongest military position that they've been in since 2001," Burns said in the interview published on Thursday.
Very interesting observation Director Burns, since your organization has essentially lead the effort against the TB for the past 20 years.

[ISSUESINSIGHTS] After watching Anthony Fauci ...American epidemiologist with rotating opinions, warnings about the unlikely, and reassurances that if you wear a mask you won't get COVID, as long as you're wearing multiple masks, assuming wearing a mask is necessary in the first place... once again obfuscate, evade and outright lie before Congress about his failures as this nation’s de facto COVID-19 czar, we’re led to one inescapable conclusion: He needs to resign immediately or be fired for incompetence and dishonesty.
Fauci’s appearance this week before a congressional panel should be the final straw, even for his partisan supporters in the Democratic Party.

He's been very effective at facilitating the discreet laundering of USD to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and discouraging an investigation into the actual origins of the pandemic. His support for the initial Wet Market cover story and project deflection was also commendable. His denial of so-called 'Gain of Function' research has become legendary.
The Deep State oligarchs of Chinese appeasement and global population management are well pleased. Credit must be extended where credit is due.

Fauci should've gone in 1990 - when he mishandled HIV. For that matter: a certain former USA president should've fired him for insubordination - but didn't for some odd (just kidding) reason.

as•tute ə-stoo͞t′, ə-styoo͞t′►
adj. Having or showing shrewdness and discernment, especially with respect to one's own concerns. synonym: shrewd.
Of keen penetration or discernment; cunning; sagacious.
Synonyms Sagacious, Sage, Knowing, Astute, Subtle. Sagacious and sage are used only in good senses, and when applied to persons generally suggest the wisdom of age or experience. The knowing man has wide knowledge and often penetration. The word knowing has also a humorous cast: as, he gave me a knowing wink; it may be used ironically: as, he is a little too knowing, that is, he thinks he knows more than he does; it may be used of knowing more than one has a right to know; it sometimes suggests a disposition to make ill use of knowledge: as, a knowing leer. Astute is often the same as sagacious, but is susceptible of an unfavorable sense in the direction of a narrow shrewdness, slyness, or cunning; it often means a sagacity that knows how to be silent; it is frequently applied to looks. Subtle, in its good sense, implies great acuteness, delicacy, or refinement in mental action: as, a subtle reasoner. For its bad sense, see cunning.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Syria’s air defense forces shot down seven out of eight missiles launched by Israeli warplanes during a raid that targeted the Syrian province of Aleppo, the Russian military said.
Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit, the head of the Russian military’s Reconciliation Center in Syria, said that four Israeli F-16 fighter jets targeted facilities southeast of Aleppo in Monday’s strike.
Kulit said seven of eight missiles launched by the Israeli fighter jets were downed by Syrian air defense units that used Russia-supplied air defense systems Pantsyr-S and Buk-M2. One missile damaged the building of a scientific research center in Safira, he said.
A Syrian military official previously said in remarks carried by the state news agency SANA that Israel carried out an aerial attack in the Aleppo province late Monday. He said that Syrian air defenses shot down most of the missiles in the attack that occurred just before midnight, The News Agency that Dare Not be Named reported.
The Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a war monitor that has activists on the ground in Syria, said the Israeli strikes targeted weapons depots that belong to Iranian-backed militia operating in Aleppo’s Safira region. The group said the strikes were followed by loud explosions. The weapons depots were located inside Syrian military posts, the group said.
Russian MoD claims of Syrian Buk-M2E and Pantsir-S air defences intercepting 7 out of the 8 reportedly Israeli incoming missiles on Aleppo countryside 2 days ago is reportedly incorrect with satellite images showing 2-3 possible facilities hit. https://t.co/H7T09WziQnhttps://t.co/OHqWzGwWqh

[SPUTNIKNEWS] Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has once again proposed a peace agreement to Armenia that will be based on respecting each other's territorial integrity and include delimitation of national borders."We have sent a note to Armenia, a [draft] peace agreement ... I have repeatedly said that we are ready and let us start the talks. Is the war over? Over! Do you want peace, Armenia? It seems that yes! Then why would not you like to sign a peace agreement! Recognize our territorial integrity, sign a peace agreement and settle the border delimitation issue. In this regard, our agenda is in line with the EU, Ottoman Turkish and Russian agenda," Aliyev told the Azerbaijani state television ... and if you can't believe state television who can you believe?
on Thursday.
The president added that the risk of a new military conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region must be minimized.
The decades-long Nagorno-Karabakh conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan flared up in late September, resulting in multiple military and civilian casualties on both sides. The hostilities ended after the sides agreed to a Russian-brokered ceasefire on November 9. The Armenian-backed self-proclaimed Republic of Artsakh lost huge territories as a result of the escalation of tensions. The ceasefire deal also resulted in the deployment of Russian peacekeepers to the region.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] King Mohammed VI accompanied by Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan and Prince Moulay Rachid, performed on Tuesday the Eid Al Adha prayer.
Given the preventative health measures, the King performed the prayer without giving a speech.
After the prayer, the King performed the sacrifice ritual. The Imam sacrificed the second sheep.
On this occasion, King Mohammed VI granted pardons to 761 people, the Moroccan Justice Ministry said in a statement.
While only 658 of the pardoned individuals are in prison, all 761 have been convicted by Moroccan courts for violating laws within the country, said a royal press statement.
Of those imprisoned, the King ordered the immediate cancellation of the sentences of 639 detainees. He also granted clemency to 14 prisoners serving life sentences. These inmates now have reduced sentences as a result of the Royal directive.
[IsraelTimes] Alleged Hamas, a regional Iranian catspaw, member suspected of opening fire with a submachine gun, causing damage to vehicle but no injuries.
Security forces said Thursday that they had arrested a Paleostinian man suspected of carrying out a shooting attack on a vehicle near the West Bank settlement of Elon Moreh in June.
During the attack, the shooter opened fire on a car, causing damage but no injuries. The civilian vehicle was being driven by a reservist soldier.
According to the Ynet news site, security forces said the suspected attacker, a resident of the West Bank village of Salem near Nablus, used a Carlo-style submachine gun and opened fire with the aim of killing Israelis.
He was arrested in a joint operation of the Israel Defense Forces, Shin Bet and police.
The report said that over the course of his interrogation, it was discovered that the suspect was a member of the Hamas terror organization.
The unnamed suspect reportedly told security officers that he carried out the attack to avenge the death of his friend Malik Hamdan, who was killed in festivities with the IDF.
The report did not clarify if the suspect had been charged.

The Hezbollah was an Iranian creation beholding to the Ayatollah Khomeini and spread a revolutionary message to Shiite populations outside of Iran. It was administered by Iran's Revolutionary Guards. The "Pasdaran" had attempted to infiltrate Afghan refugee camps but received little support from the Sunni refugee population. Frustrated, they turned to Lebanon. The Pasdaran emerged in the Bekaa Valley of Lebanon in June 1982 where its Hamza and Ansar divisions were seen working with the Syrian military in building an "army" peopled by indigenous Lebanese Shiite zealots. That project was directed from Iran by Hojatolislam Hashemi Rafsanjani. In the Bekaa amidst fellow Shiites, Rafsanjani exported an Islamist revolution beyond the borders of Iran. Within a few months there emerged an anomalous political phenomenon -- an Iranian enclave within a Syrian satrapy within the Lebanese nation. And once entrenched, the Lebanese Hezbollah would not be forced out.
From 1982 onward Hezbollah activity was governed by a 12-man consultative council operating from the Bekaa Valley. It took control of the local Islamic Jihad (al-Jihad al-Islami) movement and used kidnapping to create a feared reputation and soon spread its influence and its message of hatred for the West and Lebanon's Christian population. Imad Mughniyah, then the second-ranking figure in Hezbollah's security service, helped organize the 1983 bomb attack on the US Marine barracks in Beirut resulting in the death of 251 Americans. The operation introduced the world to the suicide bomber, and Hezbollah would be responsible for the death of over 1,000 people (including 62 French paratroopers) in a series of attacks carried out in the nineteen eighties. By 1986 there were hundreds of Iranian advisors active in Lebanon, and Hezbollah itself was thought to command 12,000 mujahideen in Lebanon. In South Beirut the Hizbullah leader Sheikh Muhammad Hussein Fadlallah preached eloquent and ardent sermons that attracted thousands to the Imam al Rida mosque. For Sheikh Fadlallah, "Establishing an Islamic republic in Lebanon," was not enough; like other Islamists of his generation, he was "contemplating Islamizing the world." Evolving from a fighting unit, the Hezbollah spread a message that found a receptive audience among the 1.5 million Lebanese Shiites, especially after funds provided by Iran were used to create an infrastructure of social services led by Abbas al-Mussawi, Subhi al-Tufayli, and a number of Shiite clergy educated in Iran.
By 1990 the Hezbollah controlled most of the Bekaa Valley and heavily Shiite-populated southern Lebanon. Thirty years later it controls most of Lebanon and the nation has been destroyed.
[IsraelTimes] Four groups known for their support of ex-party leader Corbyn are accused of downplaying claims of antisemitism and condoning inappropriate comments by party members
The Labour Party in Britannia has banned four far-left factions as part of an effort to address frustration about the party’s handling of antisemitism.
The four factions, known for supporting former party leader Jeremy Corbyn, have been accused of downplaying claims of antisemitism as politically motivated and of condoning inappropriate comments by party members.
Labour’s ruling body, the National Executive Committee, voted Tuesday to expel Labour Against the Witch Hunt, Socialist Appeal, Labour in Exile and Resist. Belonging to any of these groups is now grounds for removal from Labour.
Along with the ban, Labour also introduced a new process for accountability that will see complaints handled by a review panel of independent lawyers, which report to a new independent appeal board.
The party also ruled that all prospective Labour Party candidates will have to be trained by the Jewish Labour Movement in dealing with antisemitism.
"We are acting decisively to put our house in order and show that Labour is — and always will be — the party of equality," Labour party chair Anneliese Dodds was quoted as saying in the Guardian. "We are getting on with the job of making sure the Labour party is a safe and welcoming space for the benefit of all our members."
Jews in Britannia have for years been calling out Labour officials over rhetoric they say is antisemitic. Keir Starmer, who replaced Corbyn as leader of Labour in 2019, has vowed to reform the party and win back the confidence of the alienated portion of the country’s Jewish community.

[ElAmerican] A small Twitter feud turned into multiple, heavy accusations. Former Republican Party candidate for Congress for Maryland’s 7th Congressional District, Kimberly Klacik, is facing strong accusations about her past and possible fraud with campaign funds. The accusations are being leveled by none other than influential conservative personality and Daily Wire’s host, Candace Owens.
The struggle over the representativeness of black community support generated tensions between conservative commentator Candace Owens and Kimberly Klacik, who consolidated herself as a conservative influencer in social media despite her unsuccessful congressional bid. Finally, the tension manifested itself in a disagreement over President Biden’s recognition of Juneteenth as a national holiday.
Because of the disagreement, which escalated, Candace Owens claimed she had found out “incredible” information about Kimberly Klacik and would soon reveal it. This Tuesday, June 22, Candace Owens took the plunge: she revealed, after investigating, that Klacik allegedly has a foundation that functions as a front, was a stripper, used campaign money for personal expenses, and committed donation fraud.
Klacik, meanwhile, denied Owens’ allegations. Her lawyers, she explained, will act against Owens and The Daily Wire. The former candidate blocked Owens from her social media. She also disabled comments on her Instagram and Twitter posts.

[IsraelTimes] The Danish military says it spotted an Iranian destroyer and a large support vessel sailing through the Baltic Sea, likely heading to Russia for a military parade in the coming days.
The Danish Defense Ministry posts photographs online from the Royal Danish Air Force of the new domestically built Iranian destroyer Sahand and the intelligence-gathering vessel Makran passing by the Danish island of Bornholm.
"It is expected that they are on their way to the annual naval parade in St. Petersburg," the Danish military tweets.
Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency reports that the country’s navy commander, Adm. Hossein Khanzadi, will join the Russian naval parade at St. Petersburg after receiving an invitation from the Russian defense minister.
IRNA also says the Sahand will join the parade "if the Russian-planned programs are in line with the plans of the Iranian fleet."
The naval parade is expected to take place on Sunday, according to Russian state media.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] Two Iraqi soldiers have been killed and three others injured in an ISIS attack in Iraq’s northern province of Salahuddin, a police officer said on Wednesday.
"Unidentified button men believed to be affiliated with the ISIS terror group attacked the headquarters of the 66th Army Brigade in the Mutaibija area in the northern part of the province," the source said.
He added that reinforcements were dispatched to the site as ISIS members fled the area.
Iraq declared victory over ISIS in 2017, however, the group continues to launch attacks against army and PMF positions, leaving casualties and causing material damages.
According to security experts, ISIS remains active in Diyala, Kirkuk, ... a thick stew of Arabs, Turkmen, Kurds, and probably Antarcticans, all of them mutually hostile most of the time... and Salahuddin.
Two days ago, an attack took place in a popular market in Sadr City, causing more than 100 deaths and injuries. The Iraqi authorities held the group responsible for the attack.
[Bloomberg] China’s import ban on Australian coal is proving a boon to U.S. producers.
On June 28, the Frontier Unity bulk vessel left the port of Newport News, Virginia with a 136,400-ton cargo bound for steelmakers in China. It was the biggest shipment of its kind from a U.S. east coast port, according to miner Coronado Global Resources Inc.
For Coronado, it marks a stark turnaround in the fortunes of its U.S. mines, which were temporarily idled in March last year after pandemic lockdowns crushed demand. The company is benefiting from a rally in prices and China’s ban on Australian coal, which in March helped boost exports from the U.S. to the Asian nation to their highest since 2013.
“As a critical global supplier of metallurgical coal, our geographic diversification continues to benefit us as the Chinese import restrictions on Australian coal continue,” Gerry Spindler, Coronado’s chief executive officer, which operates coal mines in the U.S. and Australia, said Thursday in a statement. “Our U.S. operations continue to successfully move met coal into China at record levels.”
While the U.S. engaged in a highly public trade spat with Beijing under the Trump administration, it’s coal from Australia that has been singled out for sanction after diplomatic tensions between the two countries escalated last year. BHP Group, one of the biggest coal producers in Australia, said earlier this week that it expected the ban to remain in place for a number of years.
Met coal prices have rallied this year on strengthening global steel demand. Coronado’s average selling price across the portfolio was $105 per ton in the June quarter, up 11% on the previous quarter.

Australia's pain may end soon. If world demand keeps growing someone else buys their coal and at higher prices than the long term contract with China.

[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] A suicide kaboom at a crowded market in Baghdad’s Sadr City on Monday revived armed factions’ ambitions to restore their control over al-Tarmiyah town and its suburbs north of the Iraqi capital.
Sayyid of Martyrs Battalions Secretary-General Abu Ala al-Walai said that his forces were prepared to retake al-Tarmiyah and al-Mushahadah regions from the "claws of terrorism" within two days.
Leaders of armed factions in Iraq have repeatedly called for duplicating the reconquest of "Jurf Sakhar" in other parts of the Baghdad belt, starting with al-Tarmiyah.
Al-Tarmiyah enjoys a strategic location, as it extends on the Tigris River to connect four major cities, namely Baghdad, Salah al-Din, Diyala, and Anbar. More so, the town links two prominent Shiite shrines.
The market bombing sparked a wave of media reports about a "terrorist" group having emerged from one of al-Tarmiyah’s agricultural fields to stage the attack.
This type of reporting prompted activists close to the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) to demand the state-sponsored umbrella organization drives ISIS fighters and supporters out of the city.
"Acts of violence within the area come from various sources, including ISIS, which exploits the security void in orchards in the vicinity of the town," field sources reported.
Copying the reconquest of Jurf Sakhr in al-Tarmiyah means that locals will be uprooted, and extreme security vetting will be facing individuals entering and leaving the town.
Jurf Sakhr is now under the total control of some of the most influential PMF armed factions.
Like Jurf Sakhr, al-Tarmiyah will also become a hub for military camps and bases operated by armed factions.
"Enforcing security and imposing stability in any region, including al-Tarmiyah, must be subject to the contexts of the state, exclusively," a Victory Alliance consultant who requested anonymity told Asharq al-Awsat.
Armed factions have displayed an inclination towards going above and beyond fighting ISIS to securing total control over areas liberated from the terrorist group.
Local sources warn that the factions will not give up their plan to seize al-Tarmiyah, given its strategic location.
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The Lebanese Ministry of Energy announced on Wednesday that it would stop the delivery of diesel fuel after its stock has declined significantly.
The electrical supply had improved remarkably over the past few days through the main network and private power generators.
However, alcohol has never solved anybody's problems. But then, neither has milk... a statement by the General Petroleum Authority said: "In respect of the blessed holidays and out of national and societal responsibility to provide energy security for citizens throughout Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers, a practice dating back to the heady human sacrifice days of Baal Moloch. In 2020 Hezbollahblew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate faci8lity exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that... , the oil facilities in Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... and Zahrani secured on Monday until midnight, the local market of diesel in most of its sectors, including bakeries, hospitals, generators, utilities and all public institutions, including the airport, tourist institutions and water institutions."
It added that the quantities distributed from the two facilities were "estimated at about 14 million liters, equivalent to half the full load of an oil tanker. Those were supplied to 160 distribution companies, exceptionally exceeding the approved margin of quotas."
According to the Authority, this led to the depletion of most of the stock, in parallel with a lack of credits for the import of additional diesel ships.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... has formally inaugurated its new crude oil export terminal on the Sea of Oman, a project hailed by President Hassan Rouhani ...Iran's moderate president, which he is, relative to his predecessor, which doesn't mean he's anything but a puppet of the nearest holy man... as a historic achievement which could prove vital in the country’s energy future. The Goureh-Jask Crude Oil Transfer Project was inaugurated on Thursday during a video conference session attended by Rouhani and senior Oil Ministry officials in Tehran.
The project allows Iran for a first time in more than 110 years of its oil industry history to export crude from a terminal outside the Persian Gulf.
The terminal is also a first in a region where global oil producers are forced to dispatch crude tankers through the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow waterway at the mouth of the Persian Gulf where ships have been subject to attacks and sabotage in the past.
Oil reaches Jask through a 1,000-kilometer pipeline that starts from old pumping station in Goureh in southwest Iran and stretches around the Persian Gulf while travelling through three southern provinces.
"Today is a historic and big day for the land of the Medes and the Persians and as time passes by the significance of this project will become clearer for the people," said Rouhani as he described the launch as a sign of utter failure for US sanctions targeting Iran’s oil industry.
Rouhani’s website said in a report that the government had spent 530 trillion rials ($2.163 billion) on the Goureh-Jask pipeline and terminal facilities at Jask.
The report said some 250 Iranian companies had contributed to the construction and engineering work in a project that took more than two years to complete.
Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said the new terminal in Jask kicks off with 300,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude exports as he insisted that a target of 1 million bpd will be within reach by March when a third and final phase of the project is finished.

[SHAFAQ] The former Iraqi Foreign Minister, Hoshyar Zebari, confirmed that the upcoming round of talks between Washington and Baghdad is decisive for Iraq's future, security, and stability.
Zebari said in a Facebook post that Iraqi leaders need to participate in the security, diplomatic and political dialogues to adopt bold stances to secure Iraq's national interest.
He stressed the need for serious work to reach results that consolidate the country's security, intelligence, and military capabilities to confront ISIS, and support security institutions.
"Iraq is not Afghanistan, and its collapse means the collapse of the entire region", Zebari concluded.

[NYPost] With President Biden celebrating six months in office this week, it may seem as if Jane Fonda was prophetic when she declared last year that "COVID is God’s gift to the left."
But never despair. As the dust settles from the pandemic and we grimly survey the gains made by Hanoi Jane’s comrades, it’s time for some good news.
Pride comes before a fall, and the left is way over their skis, too big for their boots, counting their chickens before they’re hatched and about to be shipwrecked by the laughter of the gods, just to mix a few metaphors that add up to one thing.

[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] An FBI ...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time... agent involved in the Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer ...Her Excellency, the dictator of Michigan, 2020 Dem VP contender who never got off the ground... kidnapping case was charged Monday after allegedly assaulting his wife after leaving a swingers' party.
Special Agent Richard Trask, 39, of Kalamazoo was charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm, less than murder following the incident late Sunday, according to The bankrupt, increasingly impoverished, reliably Democrat, Detroit ... ruled by Democrats since 1962. A city whose Golden Age included the Purple Gang... News.
Trask's wife told police that she and her husband had drinks at a swingers' party in Oshtemo Township, adding that an argument was started on the way home between the pair because she did not like the party.
"An affidavit filed by the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office in Kalamazoo County District Court said Trask's wife had bloody lacerations to the right side of her head and 'blood all over chest, clothing arms and hand,' as well as 'severe' bruising to her neck and throat," wrote The Detroit News.
After arriving at home from the party, Trask reportedly got on top of her in their bed "then grabbed the side of her head and smashed it several times on the nightstand," according to the affidavit.
In an attempt to escape, the wife tried to grab his beard. Trask then proceeded to choke her around her neck. She was able to end the assault by grabbing Trask's testicles.
Trask then left the home in her vehicle, and he was tracked to a supermarket parking lot in Oshemto Township. He refused give a statement on the incident after being read is Miranda rights.
Trask has reportedly worked for the FBI since 2011 and has "served as the FBI's public face in the Whitmer case, testifying in federal court about the investigation," according to The Detroit News.
FBI spokeswoman Mara Schneider said on Monday the bureau is cooperating with the prosecutor's office. Trask's current job status was unclear.
"In accordance with FBI policy, the incident is subject to internal review, and I cannot comment further at this time," she said in a statement.
Following an arraignment in 8th District Court in Kalamazoo, Trask was released on a $10,000 personal recognizance bond. He faces a charge punishable by up to 10 years in prison. He is prohibited from possessing a firearm as part of his bond conditions.
"It's the last thing you want for a major case like this," said the former special agent in charge of the FBI's Detroit office Andrew Arena, in regards to Trask's connection to the Whitmer case. "Any time you give the defense any ammunition it's not good."
Trask reportedly testified in January in federal court against accused kidnapping plotter Barry Croft, a Delaware resident who is allegedly the group's bomb maker. Croft was identified by Trask as the national leader of the small militia group the 3 Percenters, who participated in the January 6 Reichstag Capitol ...A demonstration held in the capital in support of President Trump and against election thievery that Dems have been calliing an insurrection. It's the Dem equivalent of the Reichstag Fire... Hill riot.
"During the court hearing, Trask helped provide context about multiple undercover recordings that included Croft. At the time, prosecutors wanted Croft held without bond, saying he was a violent mostly peaceful murderous Moslem," wrote The Detroit News.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] US plans for a bipartisan committee to investigate the pro-Trump January 6 attack on the Capitol Hill have fallen apart after House Speaker Nancy San Fran Nan Pelosi Congresswoman-for-Life from the San Francisco Bay Area, born into a family of professional politicians. On-again-off-again Speaker of the House. It's not her fault when they lose, but it's her accomplishment when they win. Noted for her heavily botoxed grimace and occasional senior... uhhh... moments... kicked off two Republicans from a riot committee.
Pelosi rejected Republican leader Kevin McCarthy ...the GOP house majority whip. He replaces Eric Cantor, who got whupped because his politix are like Kevin McCarthy's... ’s naming of representatives Jim Banks and Jim Jordan to the committee.
She formed a panel last month to investigate the "root causes" of the attack.
On Wednesday, she rejected the two GOP representative involve in the probe, citing their objection to President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. We hold these truths to be self-evident. All men and women created ... by the — you know — you know, the thing... ’s Electoral College victory.
"With respect for the integrity of the investigation, with an insistence on the truth and with concern about statements made and actions taken by these Members, I must reject the recommendations of Representatives Banks and Jordan to the Select Committee," Pelosi said in a statement.
"The unprecedented nature of January 6th demands this unprecedented decision," Pelosi noted.
The two are said to be staunch allies of former president Donald Trump ...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons...... . They voted against Trump’s impeachment and pushed to overturn the election results certifying Biden as president.
Trump was impeached for inciting his supporters to storm the Capitol building, where politicians were in the process of confirming Biden’s win in the 2020 presidential election.
The attack resulted in the death of at least five people, including a police officer who was guarding the Congress building.
Pelosi called on McCarthy to name two new Republicans to the committee, but he instead, pulled all five Republicans he had named from the panel.
"We will run our own investigation," McCarthy said during a news conference Wednesday.
"Republicans will not be party to their sham process and will instead pursue our own investigation of the facts," he added.
The latest development marks yet another bipartisan failure in repeated attempts by members of Congress to investigate the storming of the Capitol, in more than 200 years.
Earlier this year, Pelosi proposed appointing an independent bipartisan commission.

[EN.ALGHADEERTV.NET] A helicopter affiliated to the US occupation forces has targeted a house in northeastern Syria, killing three people and injuring many others inside. Citing local sources, Syria’s official SANA news agency reported the deadly US strike in Jamous Village, east of the city of Hasakah, on Wednesday.
The report added that the house had been circled by Washington-backed Lions of Islam from the so-called Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), an alliance of mainly Kurdish forces fighting against Damascus, for several hours before the US air raid.
The SDF hard boyz had cordoned off the house and called on those inside to surrender, but they resisted, resulting in an exchange of fire, according to the so-called Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
The US-led warplanes intervened and bombarded the house, the SOHR said, claiming that the victims were suspected members of the ISIS terrorist group.
Syria has been gripped by foreign-sponsored militancy since March 2011, with the US and its allies aiding Takfiri ...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who must be killed... terrorist outfits.
The United States has deployed forces and military equipment to Syria without any authorization from Damascus or the UN. It has long been training Lions of Islam and stealing Syria’s oil, ignoring repeated calls by Damascus to end its occupation of the country.
The SDF Lions of Islam have also been illegally holding control over Syria’s northern areas.
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] A report published by Outside Interactive alleged that America’s historically racist policies have contributed to "the nature gap," resulting in black Americans having less enjoyment of the so-called "great outdoors."Erin Key, the report’s author, is pushing for minorities to use their free time outdoors in nature through the use of grants and advocacy work. She does not, however, mention that there are no modern laws prohibiting non-whites from visiting public nature sites.
"Though many don’t like to speak about it, so many of our living relatives experienced racism when it was legal — directly affecting how they interacted with society and how society interacted with them — all based on the color of their skin," Key wrote, explaining that her family lived through an era "when many Black Americans were taught not to do things outside of their community areas, in an effort to keep them ’safe.'"

The rush towards the great stupidity singularity continues apace...

I remember growing up in the Deep South that there were lots of Black folks swimming and camping at the lake where my dad was a caretaker. Admittedly, by tradition (and no doubt before the 70’s by state law) they had “their” beach and the Whites had “theirs.” But Dad (I’m White) used to swim over there, have a beer, and chat with people. There was a lot of barbecuing going unless my olfactory memory deceives me, and I remember people being friendly enough, given the racial tensions at the time.
I think this lady is kind of right, but also kind of wrong at the same time. Lots of Black people go camping, hiking, and lake fishing (especially the latter.) I know some personally. But most Black Americans are urban and often poor. A poor urban person doesn’t have thousands of dollars to blow on a family dream camping trip to Yellowstone. (Or the like.) They’ve got more practical things to do with their money. But a poor rural person can just drive a couple miles out of town, build a bonfire, get drunk with their friends, and pass out in the bed of their pickup trucks for a grand total of forty bucks. Easy to do when you like in Elko. Much harder to do when you live in Oakland.
In 2021 most rural Americans (and I am one) are of White, Mexican, or Native American. Black people aren’t unwelcome or unheard of. I did a couple of weeks of brutal manual labor for a Black horse rancher one time – and man, did that guy bust ass from sunrise to sunset! And I’ve got friends who are Black here in my tiny community, and they seem to camp, shoot, cookout, and “shade-tree mechanic” as well as anyone else. There aren’t a lot of them these days in my experience; but I’m betting before the 1940’s urban migration you would find Black men with first-rate outdoors skills all over the South and Midwest. Basic backwoodmaning is after all a poor man’s pastime, not a rich ones.

This just strikes me as a little funny, as I was in a remote part of Tahoe yesterday, and I met a very nice black couple. They had become stranded in a remote area because there was no phone reception and they had no way of reaching Lyft on their phone app. I helped them find an area with reception.

Secret Master, camping is actually a very cheap past time. No need to buy the top end stuff and whatever you get is usable year after year. Lots of younger folks do that because they can't afford anything else.

[NPASYRIA] On Wednesday, US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland said that there is still a dispute between The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... and the US regarding the latter’s support for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
"The two countries agreed not to agree on the SDF issue, despite its ability to achieve security and political stability in northeastern Syria while continuing to confront ISIS," she added.
On Wednesday, US Congress held a hearing with Nuland in which she spoke about the nature of the US-Ottoman Turkish relationship during the administration of US President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S., who gives the geriatric a bad name... and the most important common issues between the two countries.
In the opening session, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations Bob Menendez said that the US-Turkey’s relationship during the era of the Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him. It's a sin, a shame, and a felony to insult the president of Turkey. In Anatolia did Recep Bey a stately Presidential Palace decree, that has 1100 rooms. That's 968 more than there are in the White House, 400 more than in Versailles, and 325 more than Buckingham Palace, so you know who's really most important... does not meet the US interests and goals, which raises the need to inform Turkey that the US is ready to depart from this relationship as well.
"We will continue to oppose the S-400 missile system and support the continuation of sanctions on this deal," Menendez added.
Menendez said that the US "completely disagrees with Turkey on the Syrian issue, as Turkey occupied areas the size of Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Trust them on that... in northern Syria, which it forcibly took from its Kurdish residents after they were subjected to various types of violations, torture, and forced displacement."
Menendez pointed out that there is a deep rift with Turkey regarding Cyprus, as Erdogan is trying to harm the interests of Cyprus and Greece, in addition to Erdogan’s internal violations and his constant attempt to silence, suppress and persecute his opponents. "All of these are characteristics of weak countries, not a strong and globally influential country," he added. "The United States needs Turkey as a democratic partner in the Middle East, and this will not happen under President Erdogan."
Nuland announced the intention of the Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft ...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know... to continue applying sanctions against Turkey and continue to suspend the sale of American F-35 aircraft because of their purchase of the Russian S-400 missile system.

[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] The city of Minneapolis is being legally mandated to hire more cops after a year of rampant looting, rioting, and violent mostly peaceful crime in the wake of George Floyd's death. In a legal triumph, the National Police Association's amicus brief supporting a lawsuit against Minneapolis City Council and Mayor Jacob Frey ...The inept and ineffective (but I repeat myself) Dem class president mayor of Minneapolis during the George Floyd race riots. Frey issued the order for police to evacuate the Third Precinct so it could safely be burned to the ground, and has since dithered, waffled, and obfuscated on a near daily basis. The city is a Dem stronghold, so he'll probably be reelected... for allowing the city's police department to fall below minimum staffing has prevailed. Now the city has been ordered by the court to restore the police force's dwindled numbers.
Minneapolis attorney Erick Kaardal, the NPA's lead council for the amicus brief, gave an in-depth look at the realities of the case in an interview with The Post Millennial. Kaardal discussed the importance of staffing requirements for law enforcement and how a lack of staffing had impacted Minneapolis and its citizens.
Kaardal also explained why Minneapolis City Council must get approval from the public and police federation before taking actions to defund. The lawyer outlined reasons why charters such as the staffing requirement have been put in place by cities like Minneapolis and why they're so crucial to the safety of communities.
The Minneapolis city charter acts as the city's constitution at the municipal level, Kaardal elucidated. Minnesota was the fourth state to permit "home rule" through a constitutional amendment approved in 1896, which allows citizens to create city governments separate from the standards established under state law. A home rule charter "allows a community to establish and maintain a municipal corporation to provide for the common health, safety, and welfare of its people."

Lawyers, liars and politicians (but I repeat myself!) use "weasel words": note that she said "catholic" and not Roman Catholic. I am sure that the dogma of the 'Catholic' Church of Progressivism supports her.

Thou shalt not bear false witness.
This is as false a witness as one can make regarding Catholic Dogma on elective abortions.
There is no "nuance" available for her to wiggle out of this one. It is an out-and-out lie, and if we had a press worth a damn, they would call her out on it.

An archbishop on Thursday responded to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s claim that she is a devout Catholic who supports abortion.
“Let me repeat: no one can claim to be a devout Catholic and condone the killing of innocent human life, let alone have the government pay for it. The right to life is a fundamental—the most fundamental—human right, and Catholics do not oppose fundamental human rights,” San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone said in a statement.
Cordileone is the archbishop of Pelosi’s home diocese.
Last month, Catholic bishops in the United States approved the drafting of a document that may rebuke her, President Joe Biden, and other prominent Catholics who support abortion despite the faith’s teachings.
Biden was denied communion in 2019 over his support of abortion.
Cordileone said earlier this year that he discussed with Pelosi her abstaining from receiving communion because of her position on abortion.

And what's a little communion to these goddamn satanists and traitors? Who is the church trying to fool? They spend millions in other countries posturing and meddling, why can't they purchase congresswomen and mayors to push for what they believe in?
[ENGLISH.AAWSAT] The Syrian regime accused Israel Thursday of carrying out an Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... in the central province of Homs, the second time in as many days, saying the aerial attack caused material damage.
An unidentified Syrian military official quoted by the state news agency said air defenses shot down most of the missiles in the attack that occurred early Thursday on targets it did not name in the Qusayr region of the Homs countryside.
The Britannia-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed the strikes, saying they destroyed ammunitions and weapons depots belonging to Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. In 2020 Hezbollah blew up a considerable portion of Beirut and many of its inhabitants when its ammonium nitrate facility exploded. They blamed it on... somebody else. It wasn't them though. Trust them on that... 's Hezbollah in the western Homs countryside.
Late Monday, Syria reported an Israeli airstrike southeast of the northern Aleppo province, but did not mention details of the target or damage.
The Observatory said Monday's strikes targeted weapons depots that belong to Iranian-backed gunnies operating in Aleppo's Safira region.
[IsraelTimes] Israel is going to again be a member with observer status of the African Union ...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful... , the Foreign Ministry says.
Israel’s ambassador to Addis Ababa, Alaly Adamso, has submitted Israel’s charter as an observer member to the African Union. Until 2002, Israel was an observer member of the Organization of African Unity, until it was dissolved and replaced by the African Union.
Israel has diplomatic relations with 46 of the 55 nations in the African Union.
"This is a day of celebration for Israeli-Africa relations," says Foreign Minister Yair Lapid. "The diplomatic achievement is the result of efforts by the Foreign Ministry, the African Division and Israeli embassies on the continent. This is a corrective step to the anomaly that has prevailed for almost two decades and is an important part of strengthening Israel’s foreign relations fabric."
