recently watched the MST3000 version of "Loves of Hercules" where Jayne played two roles - one an red head evil queen, one a sort of good queen; Jayne was in early stage of pregnancy at the time so her buxom was even larger than normal

[Post Millennial] Trump's Political Action Committees (PACs) have raised an incredible $82M in the first half of the year 2021. This puts his total political war chest at just over $102M, which is a new record.
Trump in Mar. 2021 had previously reached out to his supporters, telling them "no more money for RINOs", and it appears they have taken his suggestion to donate directly to his PACs to heart.
According to Axios, the money came from an even more impressive 3.2M individual contributions made during the period from Jan. 1 and Jun. 30 2021. This works out to an average contribution of just over $25.
Trump's major PACs are "Save America" and "Make America Great Again", along with that used to be his campaign fund, which was legally made into a PAC.
Perhaps even more astonishing is the fact that Trump raised all this money while being shut out of major social media. Twitter famously even banned an account that was not his for merely quoting him.

[Daily Wire] The Senate Foreign Relations Committee unanimously approved a resolution supporting anti-regime protesters in Cuba.
According to a press release from the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, the resolution condemns "the Cuban government’s violent response to the thousands of Cuban citizens who have taken to the streets to peacefully call for respect for basic human rights and the end of the dictatorship in Cuba."
The resolution will next move to the Senate floor for approval.

Just wait until the actual demoncrats communists get to vote on it.
Strange, not the numbers shared several times previously.
Then I noticed the caveat "FULLY" Vaccinated Americans.
So did some digging to see what is the adverse rejection rate for the initial shot (1/2), which would have precluded the 2nd FULLY vaccination shot.
While the "reported" adverse rejection numbers are well under 3 in 10K. We have had several CDC major retractions regarding CDC/WHO data within Few Weeks of publication.
BTW: Here is the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) Link VAERS 2021 Data
Interesting to note: Its not PUBLIC Info "Message: You must select VAERS ID in Group Results By list when requesting any of the Optional Measures."
[Detroit Free Press] Imagine going to the mailbox and spotting a letter from the IRS that says you owe around $1,000 or more by the end of the month when you know darn well that you're due a tax refund.
It's a special kind of tax season torture.
For many taxpayers, erroneous notices and confusing letters from the Internal Revenue Service are proving to be as unsettling as waiting for months on end for a tax refund.
I'm hearing about taxpayers who filed in February and early March after losing their jobs during the economic fallout from the pandemic in 2020. Early in the tax season, they would have owed taxes because all of their jobless benefits would count as taxable income at that time.
The taxpayers filed before a key change in the tax rules but waited to pay — as was allowed until this season's May 17 deadline.
And along came the American Rescue Plan, which was signed into law on March 11. The rules changed in their favor. Suddenly, they no longer owed money but they were now going to get a tax refund. And no, they didn't send in a check by May 17.
No matter, the IRS sent them automated notices anyway in early July to collect the number that appeared on the original tax return.
It's one wacky journey that once again illustrates how taxpayers can expect all sorts of odd twists and turns along the way as the 2020 tax season drags into summer.
What's stranger still: One taxpayer in Ohio reported getting the collection notice one week in July and then, shocker, actually receiving the unemployment-related refund that he was owed the very next week.
Talk about making your head — and likely your stomach — spin.
Nearly 4 million taxpayers were set to get unemployment-related refunds in mid-July, according to the latest news from the IRS. These are taxpayers who overpaid their taxes on unemployment compensation received last year, again before the tax rules changed.

Anyone besides me experiencing this? Accountant filed electronically on 21 April. Small refund expected. Received IRS CP11 letter on July 26, 2021 telling me I owe money. Something to do with "A change in return due to Recovery Rebate Credit" no further info provided. Per accountant, I've tried to contact the IRS telephonically on 4 different occasions. No luck to date. Not a large sum of money, but it's my money.
Same accountant for last 18 years. Never an issue or audit.

Similar letter. Our accountant wrote them a nice letter and told us not to worry - the IRS is in chaos.
Twenty years ago, I got a nice letter from the IRS saying I owed all my taxes, plus interest, in two weeks - or die. I wrote them a nice letter pointing out the completed tax return, with attached W-2 forms, indicated they had all the tax money, and my refund amount. In a couple of weeks, I got a letter that said ignore the first letter. The refund was quite late, however...

Beso & Bobby - agreed; the IRS is in chaos right now. I don't have time to go into detail, but wait a few months on those letters. I bet they'll disappear with time.
[LI] When the history of the COVID-19 pandemic is written, there will be much criticism and condescension heaped upon public health professionals.
But sharing in the derision will be the politicians and fiscal bureaucrats who shuttered businesses across the country and doled out "stimulus checks" to replace income.
Additional ire will be directed to those who decided the prison population needed to receive tax dollars are part of the response to the pandemic.
The federal government doled out $783.5 million for incarcerated individuals as part of the American Rescue Plan, Fox News has learned.
In response to a public records request from conservative group American Crossroads, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) revealed that the money flowed to 560,000 individuals who were incarcerated for the full tax year 2020.
Passed in March, the American Rescue Plan granted $1,400 in stimulus money to people making less than $75,000 per year.
"Earlier this year, every single Senate Democrat voted to give stimulus checks to violent criminals in prison," Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said in a statement to Fox News.
"Sending cash to murderers and rapists in prison has nothing to do with solving the pandemic or improving the economy. Now, the same people who sent hundreds of millions of dollars as gifts to these inmates want to spend trillions more in an even bigger and more partisan bill."
The Republican senators warned that this development would not go over well Americans of all political persuasions. Still, the Democrats persisted.
[Townhall] If you believe mainstream media's praise of the Biden administration, you'd have to assume that the leftists in power just welcome a healthy dose of anarchy. Whether it's decreasing police budgets, eliminating bail, opening the southern border, or letting rioters go free, they seem unconcerned about the safety and security of American citizens. With increasing crime, fear is on the rise. It's a wild, wild west rerun, and the calvary seems more worried about making people wear masks in the capitol than cracking down on crime!
Nationally, according to the FBI's quarterly Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) system, calendar year 2020 saw a 25% increase in homicides, the highest since 1960 and higher than in any single year in the 1965-75 decade when the number of violent crimes almost tripled. That trend seems to be continuing in 2021. You don't have to look far to understand why.
Not only is President Biden's border policy allowing a steady stream of illegals to come into America, it's resulting in increased crime in towns impacted by the influx. Since January 2020, the U.S. attorney for Arizona has been putting out monthly reports that cite both the number of aliens charged with "illegal reentry" and the subset of those who had previously been convicted in the U.S. of a nonimmigration crime. In June of this year, they charged 241 aliens with illegal reentry. Of those 241, 178 "individuals had previously been convicted of non-immigration criminal offenses in the U.S.... 40 had violent crime convictions, 6 individuals had homicide convictions, 8 individuals had sex offense convictions...and 6 individuals had domestic violence convictions."
[Consent Factor Inc.] People can tell themselves that they didn’t see where things have been heading for the last 17 months, but they did. They saw all the signs along the way. The signs were all written in big, bold letters, some of them in scary-looking Germanic script. They read ...
"THIS IS THE ROAD TO TOTALITARIANISM."
I’m not going to show you all those signs out again. People like me have been pointing them out, and reading them out loud, for 17 months now. Anyone who knows anything about the history of totalitarianism, how it incrementally transforms society into a monstrous mirror image of itself, has known since the beginning what the "New Normal" is, and we have been shouting from the rooftops about it.
We have watched as the New Normal transformed our societies into paranoid, pathologized, authoritarian dystopias where people now have to show their "papers" to see a movie or get a cup of coffee and publicly display their ideological conformity to enter a supermarket and buy their groceries.
We have watched as the New Normal transformed the majority of the masses into hate-drunk, hysterical mobs that are openly persecuting "the Unvaccinated," the official "Untermenschen" of the New Normal ideology.
We have watched as the New Normal has done precisely what every totalitarian movement in history has done before it, right by the numbers. We pointed all this out, each step of the way. I’m not going to reiterate all that again.
I am, however, going to document where we are at the moment, and how we got here ... for the record, so that the people who will tell you later that they "had no clue where the trains were going" will understand why we no longer trust them, and why we regard them as cowards and collaborators, or worse.
Yes, that’s harsh, but this is not a game. It isn’t a difference of opinion. The global-capitalist ruling establishment is implementing a new, more openly totalitarian structure of society and method of rule. They are revoking our constitutional and human rights, transferring power out of sovereign governments and democratic institutions into unaccountable global entities that have no allegiance to any nation or its people.
That is what is happening ... right now. It isn’t a TV show. It’s actually happening.
Snippet:Yes, you. Us. The others. The Unvaccinated. The “Covid deniers.” You don’t really think any hardcore New Normals have made it this far into this column, do you? They haven’t. If they stumbled into it on the Internet and accidentally started to read it, their brains switched off in the opening paragraph … literally, neurologically, switched off. They recognized it as a threat to their “reality” and instantly erased it from their consciousness, or they reported it to the proper authorities, perhaps the FBI, the Bundesnachrichtendienst, or Facebook, or some other global corporation.
This is what it has come to, folks … people are reporting other people’s “thoughtcrimes” to global corporations and the law enforcement agencies of “democratic” governments in the hopes of destroying or damaging their lives, or, at the very least, getting them censored, or otherwise erased from public view.

Nuremberg Code (Directives for Human Experimentation)
The Nuremberg Military Tribunal’s decision in the case of the United States v Karl Brandt et al. includes what is now called the Nuremberg Code, a ten point statement delimiting permissible medical experimentation on human subjects. According to this statement, humane experimentation is justified only if its results benefit society and it is carried out in accord with basic principles that “satisfy moral, ethical, and legal concepts.” To some extent the Nuremberg Code has been superseded by the Declaration of Helsinki as a guide for human experimentation.
–“Permissible Medical Experiments.” Trials of War Criminals before the Nuremberg Military Tribunals under Control Council Law No. 10. Nuremberg October 1946 – April 1949, Washington. U.S. Government Printing Office (n.d.), vol. 2., pp. 181-182.
1 The voluntary consent of the human subject is absolutely essential. This means that the person involved should have legal capacity to give consent; should be situated as to be able to exercise free power of choice, without the intervention of any element of force, fraud, deceit, duress, over-reaching, or other ulterior form of constraint or coercion, and should have sufficient knowledge and comprehension of the elements of the subject matter involved as to enable him to make an understanding and enlightened decision. This latter element requires that before the acceptance of an affirmative decision by the experimental subject there should be made known to him the nature, duration, and purpose of the experiment; the method and means by which it is to be conducted; all inconveniences and hazards reasonably to be expected; and the effects upon his health or person which may possibly come from his participation in the experiment. The duty and responsibility for ascertaining the quality of the consent rests upon each individual who initiates, directs or engages in the experiment. It is a personal duty and responsibility which may not be delegated to another with impunity.
2 The experiment should be such as to yield fruitful results for the good of society, unprocurable by other methods or means of study, and not random and unnecessary in nature.
3 The experiment should be so designed and based on the results of animal experimentation and a knowledge of the natural history of the disease or other problem under study that the anticipated results will justify the performance of the experiment.
4 The experiment should be so conducted as to avoid all unnecessary physical and mental suffering and injury.
5 No experiment should be conducted where there is an a priori reason to believe that death or disabling injury will occur; except, perhaps, in those experiments where the experimental physicians also serve as subjects.
6 The degree of risk to be taken should never exceed that determined by the humanitarian importance of the problem to be solved by the experiment.
7 Proper preparations should be made and adequate facilities provided to protect the experimental subject against even remote possibilities of injury disability or death.
8 The experiment should be conducted only by scientifically qualified persons. The highest degree of skill and care should be required through all stages of the experiment of those who conduct or engage in the experiment.
9 During the course of the experiment the human subject should be at liberty to bring the experiment to an end if he has reached the physical or mental state where continuation of the experiment seems to him to be impossible.
10 During the course of the experiment the scientist in charge must be prepared to terminate the experiment at any stage, if he has probable cause to believe, in the exercise of the good faith, superior skill and careful judgment required by him that a continuation of the experiment is likely to result in injury, disability, or death to the experimental subject.

The road to totalitarianism is littered with dead bodies. Reads a somewhat like Friedrich Hayek's "The Road to Serfdom." There will always be some arseholes who will do anything to obtain unbridled power. We are seeing those tendencies today.

As I attempted to put it yesterday, regardless of your position on Wuhan virus there is an awful lot of excess baggage in this equation much of which runs counter to legitimate public health concerns. That and a certain heavy handed thuggery to essentially run entire populations in circles to no or even counter productive ends.
Supposedly the mouth breather in chief is giving a major address on the topic this week. The WH is already invoking the gravity of GWB's post 9/11 address. I don't think the country is shutting down again because he says so and I think everybody has been vaccinated that wants to be. I don't know exactly what's left but there certainly is a dimension of 'push them as far as we can' to their capricious edicts.
[IR Press] President Joe Biden’s pledge to stem the "epidemic" of gun violence is helping drive a historic surge in gun sales across the United States, according to experts and media reports.
Industry officials said that June saw the second-highest gun sales for the month at about 1.3 million. Only June 2020 had a higher number for that month, at 2,177,586.
"To be clear June 2021 is the second-highest June on record," said Mark Oliva, spokesman for the National Shooting Sports Foundation, according to the Washington Examiner.
The US recorded more than 22 million gun sales in the first half of 2021, an increase of 15 percentage points from the same period last year.
The rise is particularly worrisome for law enforcement authorities as 2020 had already seen the highest annual gun sales since the US began keeping records.
Industry officials are attributing the surge to the threats from the Biden administration to get tough on gun ownership.
[Summit] Australians who merely post anti-lockdown information online could face fines of up to $11,000 under a draconian new piece of legislation.
Under the proposal, which is being pushed by the opposition in in New South Wales, protest organizers would be fined a whopping $20,000 and people who attend would be fined $5,500.
However, the law would punish "people sharing information on social media about illegal rallies and inciting others to illegally attend" even more harshly, hitting them with $11,000 fines.
The onerous fines are intended to neutralize a protest movement that has grown in recent weeks over New South Wales imposing yet another brutal lockdown on its citizens, which is now being enforced by military occupation of Sydney.
Shadow Police Minister Walt Secord said the massive fines were needed to "throw the book at these idiots who spread misinformation and lies along with the Delta variant."
Police Commissioner Mick Fuller warned of "online chatter" about a possible second protest this Saturday, using rhetoric that is usually reserved for terrorists planning a deadly attack.
[Summit] After the revelation that half a million vegans in the UK could be prevented from having to take mandatory workplace vaccinations due to their beliefs being protected by employment law, actor Laurence Fox publicly announced that he now identifies as "trans vegan."
"So-called ethical veganism was ruled to be a protected characteristic at a tribunal last year, meaning employers would risk legal action if they order staff to be vaccinated," reports the Daily Telegraph.
Workers with other religious beliefs could also cite their status as a protected category in order to avoid employers forcing compulsory jabs.
"Some ethical vegans may disagree with vaccinations on the basis that they will inevitably have been tested on animals. Ethical veganism has previously been found by an [employment tribunal] to amount to a belief, capable of being protected," said a spokesman for the Lewis Silkin law firm.
Although COVID-19 vaccines don’t contain anything derived from animals, they were tested on animals.
Jeanette Rowley, a rights advocate at the Vegan Society, said she had received around 100 messages from concerned vegans who say "they’re very affected, psychologically, to have to confront this dilemma."
[The Hill] There is growing concern that election workers will leave their posts in droves following a 2020 presidential contest that saw an unprecedented rise in violent threats against administrators.
Election workers had their homes broken into. Their private information was maliciously posted online. Some fled with their families into hiding. Others faced down armed crowds outside their workplaces and homes. And nearly nine months after Election Day, the threats persist.
"It’s absolutely going to lead to an unprecedented exodus of a whole generation, I think, of professional election administrators," David Becker, executive director and founder of the Center for Election Innovation and Research, told The Hill.
Nearly 1 in 6 local election workers received threats of violence, and almost 1 in 3 said they feel unsafe because of their job, according to an April survey by the Brennan Center for Justice.
Although no central database tracks departures among the nation’s estimated 8,000 local election workers, one expert told The Hill that there is now a "perfect storm of low morale and high turnover."
"The data are hard to come by, but anyone who has been around elections for a while will tell you that the number of election administrators leaving their jobs this year is much higher than ever," said Matthew Weil, director of the Elections Project at the Bipartisan Policy Center.
The threats of violence have emerged when the task of election administration has grown more complex, but while workers remain relatively low paid compared to similar government employees. At the same time, more than one in three election officials are eligible for retirement by 2024, according to a study by the Democracy Fund.

"The data are hard to come by, but anyone who has been around elections for a while will tell you that the number of election administrators leaving their jobs this year is much higher than ever,"
Perhaps, just perhaps... they (like many Americans) have lost confidence in the process. Of course no one mentioned that in the article.
Mail-in, or even iPhone voting must become universal! These election workers have grandchildren. We must do it for the grandchildren.
#2
The author and The Hill certainly have a biased view of what happened during the 2020 election. Their sources used are left-wing. They seem to be no friends of Trump.
Why is there so much pushback on election reform and audits of the 2020 election. Why is there so much censorship and social media and in the MSM of anything to do with audits. Why have the affidavits reporting observed criminality with some election workers and other hijinks never been addressed? An honest accounting of Jan. 6 has not been done and probably won't be. The article didn't address any of this.
#5
An alternative explanation is the election workers in on the fix know how close they came to getting caught (you're not out of the woods yet, kiddies!) and do not want to risk a repeat performance.
[Decider] Last night on Real Time with Bill Maher, which returned to the air after a month’s break, the HBO host claimed that the Toyko Summer Olympic Games have outdone the Oscars when it comes to cancel culture. "Please don’t make the Olympics into the Oscars," Bill Maher begged during his New Rules segment of the show.
Back in April, Maher had said the theme of the 2021 Oscars was, "We dare you to be entertained," he reminded his viewers. The producers of the Hollywood event, he complained, left no stone unturned when it came to injustices and human error.
Maher (who was sporting a new pair of glasses) feels the International Olympic Committee have pressed even harder than Hollywood. He then referenced a number of instances where the "woke" committee punished officials and creative staffers over decades-old behavior. The director of the opening ceremony, for example, was fired over a Holocaust joke he did during a comedy routine decades ago.

[The Atlantic] - Something very strange has been happening in Missouri: A hospital in the state, Ozarks Healthcare, had to create a "private setting" for patients afraid of being seen getting vaccinated against COVID-19. In a video produced by the hospital, the physician Priscilla Frase says, "Several people come in to get vaccinated who have tried to sort of disguise their appearance and even went so far as to say, ’Please, please, please don’t let anybody know that I got this vaccine.’" Although they want to protect themselves from the coronavirus and its variants, these patients are desperate to ensure that their vaccine-skeptical friends and family never find out what they have done.
...What is going on here? Sociology suggests that pundits and policy makers have been looking at vaccine refusal all wrong: It’s not an individual problem, but a social one. That’s why individual information outreach and individual incentives—such as Ohio’s Vax-a-Million program, intended to increase vaccine uptake with cash prizes and college scholarships—haven’t worked. Pandemics, by definition, are collective problems. They propagate and kill because people live in communities. As a result, addressing pandemics requires understanding interpersonal dynamics—not just what promotes trust among people, but which behaviors convey status or lead to ostracism.
...Shifting from an individual to a relational perspective helps us understand why people are seeking vaccination in disguise. They want to save face within the very specific set of social ties that sociologists call "reference groups"—the neighborhoods, churches, workplaces, and friendship networks that help people obtain the income, information, companionship, mutual aid, and other resources they need to live. The price of access to those resources is conformity to group norms. That’s why nobody strives for the good opinion of everyone; most people primarily seek the approval of people in their own reference groups.
...In Missouri and other red states, vaccine refusal on partisan grounds has become a defining marker of community affiliation. Acceptance within some circles is contingent on refusal to cooperate with the Biden administration’s public-health campaign. Getting vaccinated is a betrayal of that group norm, and those who get the shot can legitimately fear losing their job or incurring the wrath of their families and other reference groups. Deplorables to the Establishment: "You can kick out MY president. You can make Jan 6 rioters enemies of the state. But you cannot make me vaccinate!" Establishment (in a quiet aside) "I love it when a plan comes together!"
...COVID-19-related cons have become big business, not just for right-wing media outlets that have gained viewers while purveying vaccine disinformation but also for small-time social-media grifters and enterprising professionals. The New York Times recently profiled Joseph Mercola, a Florida osteopath whom the paper described as "The Most Influential Spreader of Coronavirus Misinformation." Four years ago, the Federal Trade Commission forced Mercola to pay nearly $3 million in settlements for false advertising claims about indoor tanning beds that he had sold. In February of this year, Mercola told his millions of followers on Facebook that the vaccine would "alter your genetic coding," and promoted his line of vitamin supplements as an alternative to ward off COVID-19. That's why they should biology basics in high-school.
To outsiders, the social dynamics of the con appear peculiar and irrational. Those caught up in it can seem self-destructive and, frankly, clueless. But to sociologists, including me, who study fraud, such behaviors obey a predictable logic.
The seminal text in the field—Erving Goffman’s 1952 essay "On Cooling the Mark Out"—observes that all targets of con artists eventually come to understand that they have been defrauded, yet they almost never complain or report the crime to authorities. Why? Because, Goffman argues, admitting that one has been conned is so deeply shameful that marks experience it as a kind of social death. The victim, he writes,
has defined himself as a shrewd man and must face the fact that he is only another easy mark. He has defined himself as possessing a certain set of qualities and then proven to himself that he is miserably lacking in them. This is a process of self-destruction of the self.
In other worlds: HCQ for ever!
...In this light, the recent volte-face of many prominent conservatives toward enthusiastic endorsement of vaccination is great news for everyone who wants to see an end to the pandemic. Representative Steve Scalise, a high-ranking House Republican from Louisiana, recently got vaccinated on camera. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, a press secretary in the Trump White House now running for governor of Arkansas, published an op-ed disclosing that she and her family had gotten vaccinated. On Tuesday, Senator Roy Blunt used the Republican leadership’s weekly press conference to urge his constituents in Missouri to get vaccinated—presumably without resorting to disguises. We should also note that Trump urges his voters to get vaccinated (https://www.forbes.com/sites/andrewsolender/2021/07/20/white-house-gives-rare-praise-to-trump-for-endorsing-coronavirus-vaccines/?sh=2bcc735f4cd9)

Civil action # 2-21-cv-00702-CLM filed Jun-10 Dist. Court of Alabama. Vaccine con exposed. Violated all ten of the Nuremberg crimes against humanity 1947.
Close to 70% (68.3%) of the adult population in the United States have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. While this progress represents a marked achievement in vaccinations that has led to steep declines in COVID-19 cases and deaths, vaccination coverage—and the protections provided by it—remains uneven across the country. With growing spread of the more transmissible Delta variant, cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are once again rising, largely among unvaccinated people. Persistently lower vaccination rates among Black and Hispanic people compared to their White counterparts across most states leave them at increased risk, particularly as the variant spreads.
Reaching high vaccination rates across individuals and communities will be key for achieving broad protection through a vaccine, mitigating the disproportionate impacts of the virus for people of color, and preventing widening racial health disparities going forward. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has indicated that vaccine equity is an important goal and defined equity as preferential access and administration to those who have been most affected by COVID-19.
Discussion
Together, these data show that, despite recent trends suggesting improving equity in COVID-19 vaccination patterns and a recent narrowing in the gap between vaccination rates for White and Hispanic people, disparities are persisting. Less than half of Black and Hispanic people have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose in nearly all states reporting data, including a number of states where less than a third have received a vaccine. These lower vaccination rates among Black and Hispanic people leave them at increased risk for coronavirus, particularly as the Delta variant spreads, potentially leading to widening disparities going forward and limiting the nation’s recovery.
Issues & Insights has a discussion of the subject dated July 23rd. It includes the KFF data, and points out that it is the Blacks and the young, who are refusing to be vaccinated at the highest rates,
Oh WAIT! The Wakandan community is refusing to vaccinate, not fully on-board? Obviously the so called "anti-vaccine Con Job" must be focused elsewhere. How about.... yes, Missouri.
As usual
The Atlantic reads like a "developed" story full of polite subtle guilt steering and reverse logic.
I feel a vast majority of America could give a rats A$$ if a person gets the Vax or not. But toss in VICTIM-HOOD and it sells AD space for the media.
To us the Covid-19 is acting just like a seasonal flu that has seasonal strains. Where a shot for one strain season does not fully protect or even work at all for the other.
☻ ☺ WAIT FOR IT ☺ ☻
WOKE to whine, the reason the Black Community is so poorly vaccinated is because of the Whites in line ahead of them. So Whites must stop being vaccinated to be WOKE.

[Right Scoop] With the talk of mask mandates and even lockdowns now part of the daily news cycle, and CNN at the forefront of the demand for more and more restrictions, it’s possible your sense of alarm at the curtailing of American liberty has increased dramatically in recent days. You may be thinking this is overblown, or that the press is deliberately spinning in order to make things seem worse than they are.
But are you actually aware of just how MANY people who have been vaccinated have nevertheless become infected with Covid and, worse, DIED from it? Like the percent of total vaccinated Americans who have tested positive?
Because Axios is. And you have to see this: AS OF JULY 31
"Of the 164 million vaccinated Americans, less than 0.1% have been infected with the coronavirus, and 0.001% have died, according to data from the CDC."
1st of all, How does a Capitalist monetary model and related issues apply to a Communist controlled sudo-Capitalist "allowed" operation and economy?
WHAT IF The CCP just said Screw It?
The CCP Leadership decides to Shutdown, kick-out or confiscate the assets of any business in the Country?
I read somewhere that CCP requires that it own 51% of any company setting up shop in CCP and already controls them. So what is to keep the CCP from rounding up all the Chinese CEO's in China and declare them Enemies of the Communist State, imprison anyone and confiscate their assets? Then line them up and shoot them. (like it did in 1946-50's)
The CCP, ranks #2 in total U.S. debt owned by foreign countries. Japan being #1. If the CCP could tank the US Bond Market it could collaspe Japan.
A CCP Bond / Capitalist Purge dump then would have a worldwide effects on many other national economies and businesses, annuities and etc. that are built on normally predictable interest/income revenues. (eg. The Fanny-Mae/Freddie-Mac collapse)
What is to keep the CCP from just going back to being a 100% Chairman Mao CCP 3.0 Communist Dictatorship ran country? Remember WE (the World) have rebuilt and modernized the CCP economy, infrastructure and likely have 100% financed its continued operations for at least another 5 to 7 years.
Yes this is a very remote scenario.
But who knows what the CCP World Economy 10 year plan is?

It's no longer a communist country, if it ever was. The sloganeering is just for public consumption. All "communism" is and has ever been was an excuse to elevate the winners of the civil war to the aristocracy, rewarding key supporters and handing out tiny amounts of free stuff to the populace. In China, if you don't work and you don't have any savings (or friends and family) to tide you over, you starve. That's the very definition of a market economy. The reason they don't repudiate communism is pretty much the same reason the pagan/atheist pope in Vatican City can't repudiate Catholicism altogether - it's the foundation of their power.
Xi Jinping is basically another Chinese emperor. His courtiers are the old aristocracy with new names. All this stuff about "fascism" is old wine in new bottles. Napoleon discovered that calling himself Emperor was bad for public relations, such that Beethoven changed the name for a symphony originally composed in the Little Corporal's honor. So in dictatorships that removed their de jure monarchs, the new kings call themselves "president", "general secretary" or some anodyne title that does not convey the reality of autocracy that "king" or "emperor" does. Hitler was basically a super-intrusive and -ruthless Kaiser, but Fuhrer sounded less overbearing.

Crony capitalism, at best, domestically, from all I’ve read. Predatory mercantilism abroad, and with international investors at home.
That's basically markets in the era of de jure monarchs. Royal charters (aka monopolies) for favored courtiers and a trade policy relentlessly focused on achieving a positive balance of payments. Re sticking it to foreign investors, China has actually been pretty good relative to the other BRICS economies. Unfortunately, thanks to Xi's overweening tendencies, that may be about to change. China may revert to mean (no pun intended). The problem is that it wasn't priced for the BRICS mean - it was priced higher, way higher.
Speaking of overweening tendencies, here's a missive from a prior regime's ruler (the House of Aisin-Gioro) to a neighbor:
(The Qianlong Emperor is) the lord of all under heaven who watches over everything inside and outside the empire and who rewards good and punishes evil.
In the late 18th century, King George III sent a trade mission to China because England was having a problem – all of their hard currency (silver and gold) was ending up in China because the English public had a taste for tea and for porcelain cups to serve it in and China was the main producer of both. The goal of the trade mission was to convince the Chinese that the English produced lots of high tech stuff like clocks and steam engines that the Chinese could buy instead of demanding payment only in silver. In response, Emperor Qian Long sent the trade mission home empty handed except for a really snooty letter that said, in effect, “We have no use for any of your shitty little toys. Anything we need we can produce on our own. Go away.” Here's the (somewhat overbearing) text of what he actually said:
You, O King, from afar have yearned after the blessings of our civilization, and in your eagerness to come into touch with our converting influence have sent an Embassy across the sea bearing a memorial [memorandum]. I have already taken note of your respectful spirit of submission, have treated your mission with extreme favor and loaded it with gifts, besides issuing a mandate to you, O King, and honoring you at the bestowal of valuable presents. Thus has my indulgence been manifested.
...
Tremblingly obey and show no negligence!
In case you were wondering, this was Mad King George he was addressing. As China becomes a bigger cheese on the world stage, this is the kind of diplomacy to which we can look forward.
OTOH, look on the bright side - this dysfunctional regime held the nation back from 1949 to 1979, before central economic planning was phased out in all but name. That's 30 years of respite for its immediate neighbors and, indeed, all under heaven. Chiang would have brought the empire back faster. Who knows what foreign adventures he might have embarked on?
[Free Beacon] Chinese scientists manipulated lethal viruses under unsafe conditions at the Wuhan Institute of Virology prior to the coronavirus outbreak, fueling suspicions the pandemic was caused by a lab leak, according to a new congressional report.
The Wuhan lab was engaged in "dangerous genetic modification research on coronaviruses at unsafe biosafety levels," according to the report, authored by the minority staff on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The report includes revelations about unsafe working conditions at the lab, as well as new information indicating the Chinese government sought to mislead the world about the experiments taking place there. Congressional investigators say researchers at the lab "had the ability to genetically modify coronaviruses as early as 2016 without leaving any trace of that modification."
Mounting evidence suggests the coronavirus that is still crippling the world "was accidentally released from a Wuhan Institute of Virology laboratory sometime prior to September 12, 2019," according to the report. "It is incumbent upon the United States and likeminded countries around the world to ensure accountability and implement the reforms necessary to prevent the CCP's malfeasance from giving rise to a third pandemic during the 21st century."
The information unearthed by congressional Republicans led by Rep. Michael McCaul (R., Texas), the House Foreign Affairs Committee's ranking member, is likely to increase pressure on the U.S. government to sanction China and hold it accountable for the coronavirus outbreak. McCaul and his colleagues are recommending the Biden administration also demand a full-scale overhaul of the World Health Organization, which they say aided China in its coverup.
Congressional investigators say Wuhan researchers sounded alarms on the safety of lab environments in China in medical journals well before the virus emerged. A significant number of lab projects also underwent high levels of maintenance and repairs, including on projects related to laboratory animals and hazardous waste. In 2016, French defense officials voiced concern that labs in Wuhan would be used by China for military purposes.
Early in 2020—well after the first indications of the virus's spread—Beijing dispatched People's Liberation Army brass specializing in biological weapons to manage the lab, indicating a military-grade coverup of the virus.
"It's time to completely dismiss the wet market as the source of the outbreak," McCaul said in a statement. "A preponderance of the evidence proves that all roads lead to the [Wuhan lab]."
It is now clear that Chinese researchers were performing gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, a process by which viruses are made more powerful in order to research potential cures, according to McCaul.
"It is our belief the virus leaked sometime in late August or early September 2019," McCaul said. "When they realized what happened, Chinese Communist Party officials and scientists at the [Wuhan lab] began frantically covering up the leak, including taking their virus database offline in the middle of the night and requesting more than $1 million for additional security."
The report also singles out Peter Daszak, president of the U.S. taxpayer-funded medical organization EcoHealth Alliance, as a chief source of misinformation about the virus's origins. Daszak's organization worked at the Wuhan Institute of Virology on gain-of-function research, but the scientist later spearheaded efforts to suppress suspicions of a lab leak through letters drafted by scientists and public interviews. Daszak was also the only American scientist on the World Health Organization-China Joint Mission team tasked with investigating the virus and its outbreak in early 2021.
Information released in public contradicts Daszak's account of the virus's origins. In July, for instance, the Washington Free Beacon reported that three of the scientists who appeared on the first set of letters denying the lab leak theory dropped their names from another document released that month, revealing a weakening scientific consensus that the coronavirus came from natural sources.
The committee report also reveals that lawmakers requested Daszak provide answers on his conflicting accounts about the virus's origins, but he declined repeatedly. The report suggests subpoenaing the scientist to force him to testify before Congress.
"Peter Daszak is the public face of a CCP disinformation campaign designed to suppress public discussion about a potential lab leak," the report says. "Given the previously detailed inconsistencies and CCP disinformation campaign regarding a possible lab leak, Peter Daszak must be subpoenaed to appear before the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Senate Foreign Relations Committee as material witnesses to this investigation."

Actually, they employed a process known as "directed or forced evolution" - which does not involve genetic manipulation. You just mutate the viruses at random and grow them on human cell culture. These that survive & prosper, can infect humans.
[Western Journal] Spooked by the protests that rocked Cuba in July, the island’s communist regime called out an elite security force of the country’s Ministry of the Interior with training from one of China’s most ruthless tools of repression
ADN Cuba, a Cuban opposition media website, reported in a Google translation on Saturday that, over the past six years the Special National Brigade, known by its Spanish acronym BEN, has been receiving special training from members of the Chinese People’s Armed Police Force, a paramilitary force that specializes in riot control and fighting terrorism. The training is conducted in Cuba.
BEN troops, according to the article, are instructed in areas such as "sniper preparation and intervention tactics" among other methods of suppressing the population.
ADN notes that China is "an expert in silencing their citizens and cutting off any sign of political opposition or public disagreement that calls into question the alleged totalitarian support for the Communist Party."
Members of BEN, which was established in 1980, are known as the "Black Berets," according to ADN. Their purpose is to handle an assortment of special situations, according to ADN, and are often "mobilized to frighten and repress dissidents, opponents and independent activists."
On the slopes of the Songshan
they trained some fine Han.
They all went one by one,
at least those who liked fun,
to the studios minting Yuans.
But some escaped on boats,
to go live with the Ip Mans.

I doubt the Cuban's did either. The leasing agreement however, was simply too lucrative. Perhaps a Caribbean Uighur homeland is in the works.
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] A federal government shelter for migrant children in Fort Bliss, Texas, is allegedly the scene of sexual misconduct between staff and the unaccompanied minors housed there near the United States-Mexico border.
This is the same location where concerns have also been raised about a probable COVID-19 outbreak among the children. Two whistleblowers have accused the Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft ...knaves, footpads, and adjusters employed by the Biden Crime Family. They leave a trail of havoc everywhere they turn their attention, be it the nation's borders, the Keystone XL Pipeline, or epidemics, sometimes on purpose, most times through sheer arrogant ineptitude. They learnt this stuff in college, you know... 's Department of Health and Human Services of directing them to downplay the severity of a mass outbreak of COVID-19 amongst migrant children at the Fort Bliss Emergency Intake Site in Texas this year.
New audio has been obtained from a training session with staffers inside Fort Bliss in May where the presenter responds to a question about "kids having sex with each other" and "possible sexual assaults."
"We have already caught staff with minors inappropriately. Is that OK with you guys?" asks the presenter, an unnamed federal contractor.
"If you catch them [engaging in sexual acts], especially if it's a staff member, you separate that minor from that person immediately," the contractor says, making no mention of flagging supervisors to report the incident.
According to NBC News, "At its peak this spring, the temporary facility at Fort Bliss held nearly 5,000 migrant children, as the Department of Health and Human Services scrambled to take in children who were overcrowding Border Patrol stations. At the time of the training session, the facility held about 3,000 minors."
The training session continues with the presenter saying: "I know there have been a lot of complaints from minors about staff members waking them up in the morning. We've got some staff members that are picking up and shaking the bed to wake up the minor. Or they're bouncing them on the bed. They think they're being playful, but that constitutes child abuse. I want you guys to know that."
There has also been controversy about the revelation that many of the children being held at the facility were lacking basic clothing such as "underwear socks and shoes." Arthur Pearlstein, the same whistleblower who made the facility's problems with COVID-19 public, also said: "There were so many of them that complained that they had no underwear or one pair with nothing to change into. I began to ask some of the management officials, 'Well, can't a federal employee that has a purchase card just go to Walmart or Costco?'"
Pearlstein said that he was told no, that they would just have to wait.
Reason in late May reported that both staff-on-minor "inappropriate" contact as well as teenaged minors in physical contact occurred at the Texas border facility.

[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] Portland police have identified Antifa ...the armed wing of the Democratic Party... rioter Joseph Robert Sipe, 23, as the victim of a gruesome homicide in May who was found burned at a homeless encampment.
On May 25, police were called because a woman had spotted a human hand sticking out from under the wood in a fire pit at a homeless camp in Northeast Portland. The hand turned out to belong to Sipes's cadaver, according to authorities. Upon investigation, it was discovered that he had been stabbed multiple times. The cause of death was ruled to be blunt force or sharp force trauma.
Police later found and apprehended Aaron David Christopher, 41, nearby in the 6500 block of Northeast Halsey Street. Christopher was arrested and charged with felony second-degree murder and felony first-degree abuse of a corpse over Sipe's death. Christopher pleaded not guilty "Wudn't me." and is set to go on trial in August 2022.
Riot-related charges against Sipe were still pending at the time of his death. Sipe had been charged with one count of riot and one count of unlawful possession of a destructive device in connection with a violent mostly peaceful Antifa riot on Sept. 24, 2020. The Portland riot was organized in response to a grand jury decision to pursue a lesser charge over the police-involved death of Breonna Taylor in Louisville, Kentucky.
According to court documents, Sipe admitted to lighting the wick of a Molotov cocktail and then launching the device behind a line of uniformed coppers as cops moved along Southwest Main Street. He was initially arrested for four felonies including first-degree attempted murder, first-degree attempted assault, first-degree arson, and possession of a destructive device. A federal hold was placed on him to avoid immediate release. All but the last initial charge were dropped. A source with knowledge had told The Post Millennial those charges were dropped because Sherlocks couldn't verify the Molotov cocktail's landing spot.

Rojas gathered more than 3,750 valid signatures through independent petitioning to run in Nov. 2’s general election, said a Board of Election rep.
As The Post previously exclusively reported, Adams — the city’s all-but-certain next mayor — told donors at a Queens fundraiser last week, "I’m no longer running against candidates.
"I’m running against a movement. All across the country, the DSA [Democratic Socialists of America] socialists are mobilizing to stop Eric Adams.
"They realize that if I’m successful, we’re going to start the process of regaining control of our cities," Adams said, according to a video of his speech.
The remarks sparked cheers and applause from attendees, mostly pro-capitalist business leaders, real-estate types and other Adams supporters.
Rojas linked to The Post story on Adams’ remarks on her Twitter feed, adding in a statement, "That’s right, @ericadamsfornyc. The socialist movement is bigger than 1 candidate. The majority of youth agree w/ socialism & that’s what establishment politicians are afraid of."

[IsraelTimes] Terror group’s leader has held the position since 2017, would stay on until 2025; quadrennial Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", elections said to be drawing to a close.
Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh ...became Prime Minister of Gaza after the legislative elections of 2006 which Hamas won. President Mahmoud Abbas dismissed Haniyeh from office on 14 June 2007 at the height of the Fatah-Hamas festivities, but Haniyeh did not acknowledge the decree and continues as the PM of Gazoo while Abbas maintains a separate PM in the West Bank... has been elected to a second term as the terror group’s political bureau chief, a source close to Hamas said on Sunday afternoon.

[ToloNews] Clashes continued in key parts of Lashkargah city in District 1 near the police headquarters and the provincial governor’s office on Sunday, causing concerns to ratchet up over the situation in the province.
Security sources said many parts of the city have fallen to the Taliban ...Arabic for students... in recent weeks.
Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... MPs said that the city will be out of the government’s control if it does not receive support.
"The fighting has reached District 1 and is 100 meters or 200 meters away from the provincial governor’s compound. Fighting is underway to capture the base in the province and the people are concerned," said Ghulam Wali Afghan, an MP from Helmand.
"Clashes are underway near the Helmand governor’s compound, the police headquarters and the NDS office. They will fall if attention is not paid to them," said Karim Atal, an MP from Helmand.
But ANDSF front man Gen. Omar Shinwari said strong defensive lines have been established in Helmand, Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... and Kandahar and that there are no serious problems in the cities of these provinces.
TOLOnews findings show that 70 districts, as well as the Spin Boldak border town, fell to the Taliban in July. The government said that 11 districts had been retaken from the Taliban in July, but five of them--Yaftal in Badakhshan, Chakhansur in Nimroz, Malistan in Ghazni, Garmsir in Helmand and Guzara in Herat--have once again fallen to the Taliban.
"We will witness a worse situation if reforms are not brought to the leadership of military units," said Mehrabuddin Safi, a military affairs analyst.
Insecurity has also affected Kabul. In a recent incident, unknown button men attacked a police vehicle in the Company area west of Kabul, killing a police officer and two civilians and wounding three more.
TOLOnews findings show that for just the month of July, 313 civilians and 239 security force members were maimed in security incidents and Taliban attacks. The figures show that 700 civilians and 216 security force members were maimed during this period.
The government said that the Taliban has sustained heavy casualties during this time.
Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin's take:
Heavy street fighting continues in Lashkar Gah, including artillery. The Taliban issued an ultimatum to the military, demanding that they surrender by tomorrow morning. The military sends barkers in the forest and refuses to surrender, which is why street fighting continues.
The military continues to launch airstrikes in the vicinity of Lashkar Gakh and claim that the Taliban lost 36 people in 24 hours of fighting. Up to two battalions of infantry were deployed to the city (including by air).
Meanwhile, in the evening the Taliban began attempts to storm the city prison (where Taliban prisoners are held), which is one of the city's defense centers. The Taliban forces storming Lashkar Gah are estimated to be equivalent to a light infantry brigade.
Video from the very center of Lashkar Gakh (1830 local time).
Sources of CNN say that by the evening of August 1, the government controlled only one district of Lashkar Gakh, in the rest the defenses collapsed, and in a number of areas the police simply dispersed.
More:
Defense of government forces in Lashkar Gah, the capital of Helmand province, began to crumble today. Despite the bravura reports from pro-Taliban sources that the city has already been captured, the fighting in the city is still ongoing, but there are signs of the disintegration of organized resistance and the fragmentation of the defense into separate unconnected nodes.
The Taliban are very close to capturing the first provincial capital since the start of the spring offensive and effectively taking full control of the entire province of Helmand.
[ToloNews] Pakistain’s Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Wormtongue Qureshi ...a Pak political shape-changer. He is undistinguished except for his habit of periodically needing to have his lips reattached... said during a presser that the Afghan Taliban ...Arabic for students... would not allow ISISbully boyz to infiltrate Afghanistan, The News reported Sunday.
Qureshi reportedly also said that the Afghan forces had the capacity to combat ISIS in Afghanistan.
The foreign minister also reiterated that peace in Afghanistan was necessary for regional stability, and Pakistain was consulting other countries in the region to ensure the development, prosperity, and uplifting of the war-torn country, according to reports of the presser.
However, the hip bone's connected to the leg bone... President Ashraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money... on Sunday speaking during a "digital cabinet meeting" criticized the Taliban and said: "The Taliban has not changed. They don’t have the will for peace or for development in the country."
"The Taliban allowed the international holy warrior groups into the country," Ghani said.
The Taliban has denied involvement with the international holy warrior groups.
On Thursday, Fawzia Koofi, a member of the peace negotiating team representing the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Afghanistan in the talks with the Taliban, said that the presence of foreign Taliban in the northern regions of Afghanistan, particularly along the Afghanistan-Tajikistan border, is threatening the security of those areas.
She called for swift action to neutralize them.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shootout, Butch shot Black Bart's other gun out of his other hand...... Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoyguv warned that Russia will act immediately if there is a threat emanating toward Central Asia from Afghanistan.
Chinese officials have expressed hopes that the Taliban will fight against the "East Turkestan Islamic Movement" (ETIM) Death Eaters.
"Now the activities and movements of foreign bully boyz have increased more than any time before along the border areas and in the strategic locations which have come under Taliban control, unfortunately," said Koofi.
Based on a Radio Azadi report, imported muscle reportedly with ties to Tajik Death Eater groups are present in some districts of Badakshan including Kuf Ab, Shekay, Nusay Maimai and Khawhan.
The Russian defense minister also expressed deep concerns over the movement of ISIS fighters from Syria and Libya to Afghanistan.
"This is the collective responsibility of the international community to jointly combat the East Turkestan Islamic Movement.
...sometimes called the Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP), this Uighur jihadi group is listed under Tehrik-e-Taliban in the Al Qaeda organization table. Based in Badakshan with a second branch in Al Nusra-controlled Idlib-Latakia, Syria, only a rump group remains in China. The Russians and Americans take turns killing off their Syrian emirs — last I heard they were on their third Number 1 in three years...
We hope that the Afghan Taliban draw a clear line to the terror groups and act against them seriously and robustly to remove the barriers," said Zhao Lijian, a front man for the Chinese foreign ministry.
[KhaamaPress] National Security Advisor of Pakistain Moeed Yusuf on Saturday said in Washington that the country cannot afford additional Afghan refugees and the international community is obliged to make arrangements for them inside Afghanistan.
Yusuf has said, if civil war erupts in Afghanistan the asylum seekers should not be pushed towards them.
NSA Moeed Yusuf along with the head of Pakistain’s spying agency-inter-services Intelligence (ISI)- Faiz Hameed were visiting the United States for discussion over Afghanistan and bilateral issues. The latter has left Washington while the former is still in the United States.
When asked about Pakistain’s relations and influence over the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... Yusuf said that they have minimum leverage. He said that if Pakistain had influence over the group they would have prevented them from destroying the Buddha idols in Bamyan province in the 1990s.
Earlier the Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan ...aka The Great Khan, who who convinced himself that playing cricket qualified him to lead a nuclear-armed nation with severe personality disorders... also had said the country is already hosting nearly three million Afghan refugees and they do not have the capacity to accept more.
Tajikistan, a northern neighbor of Afghanistan has announced to accept up to one hundred thousand Afghan refugees but has acknowledged to remain cautious while allowing the people in and will not give refuge to those who have worked with the US.
So much for the original plan for the applicants to shelter in Tajikistan while waiting for the State Department to finishing stamping their paperwork.

[FOX5ATLANTA] A man is charged with sexual battery after police say he groped women in a grocery store. When other shoppers at the Ingles in Cartersville heard what was happening, they stepped in and made sure the man wasn't going anywhere until police arrived.
Josh Collins was in the grocery store with his daughter.
"Heard a huge commotion and I hear a woman say 'You can't grab me like that," said Collins.
Collins said he then heard other women saying a stranger was touching them.
"I heard two other women say, 'He just grabbed us inappropriately.' I said, ‘Who?’ and they pointed to him as he was going out the doors," said Collins.
Collins said the man seemed to be in a hurry. Collins told him to wait for police and blocked his path.
"He hit my arms down and once he hit me I grabbed his arms and put them behind him and tried to get him to the ground," said Collins.
Mike Gravley was in the parking lot. just putting his cart away when he heard one of the victims talking to an employee.
She's hollering "He's touching girls in there!"
Gravley looked over and saw two men scuffling on the ground. He put two and two together and went to help. The man was putting up a fight.
"He struggled the whole time. When we heard the sirens, he heard them and he stepped it up," said Gravley.
"He had the keys in his hand, and he kept cutting me and trying to stab at me," said Collins.
"I grabbed his arm and got the keys out of his hand," said Gravley.
Two teenagers jumped in to help hold the man down. When police showed up they arrested Shelton Dewayne Markham of Floyd County. He's charged with sexual battery and aggravated assault.
Police say one of the people Markham inappropriately touched was a young teen who was at the store with her mother.
"I had a 15-year-old daughter who was one aisle over and it could have happened to her," said Collins.
The men say a number of people have thanked them for stepping in. They say they didn't do it for praise, they did it because it was the right thing to do.
"The girls were really upset. I was glad the young girl got to see there are good people out there, who knows what this is going to do to her," said Gravley.
Gentlemen all, except the squished toucher, demonstrating once again why gentlemen are so important to the world.

Evictions are only part of it. A friend who is renting a two bedroom townhouse, in a pleasant but not exclusive neighbourhood, was informed last month that her rent was being increased $700/month. She’s been looking around, but says there are very few apartments available to rent in the area, and all are similarly priced.

About 40 years ago, we moved to a new house, but couldn't sell our old town house right away. We rented it out for about 3 years to a succession of tenants, each one worse than the previous one. When we finally formally evicted the last tenant, the sheriff's deputy who accompanied me said he was considering buying a rental property and would I recommend it. I told him that I would burn the place to the ground rather than rent again.
In New York at the time, it was very difficult to actually evict someone, even if they didn't pay rent. Of course, I still had to pay taxes and other fees even if the tenant didn't pay rent.

[OneIndia] The recent killing of terrorist Shakir Altaf Bhat and subsequent finding that he had left the country on a valid passport for studies in Pakistain in 2018 and returned as a terrorist set alarm bells ringing in the security establishment in Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... , officials said here on Sunday.
Security agencies made a quick estimate of passports issued between 2015 and 2019, and found that out of the 40 youths who had gone to Bangladesh or Pakistain for studies, 28 had infiltrated back into the country as trained terrorists, the officials said.

It's been said elsewhere of gerbil worming advocates flying around in corporate jets: "I'll believe there's a crisis when they start acting like there's a crisis." Same needs to be said about big crowds and COVID. White people on motorcycles - superspreaders. BLM / anteefa rioters - not superspreaders. People going to church - superspreaders. Huge crowds at mega concerts with hip-hop (whatever they are, I don't see entertainers as the right word) - not superspreaders. Trump rallies - superspreaders. Any leftist gathering - not superspreaders. Need I cite any more examples?

[KhaamaPress] Afghanistan Ministry of Finance in an official note requested all ministries to halt or suspend their development projects due to a decline in national revenue.
The note also requires governmental bodies to call off all the newly stroke contracts.
The move comes parallel to the announcement of a decrease in the amount of national revenue due to the six dry ports of Afghanistan being under Taliban ...Arabic for students... control.
As the conflict between the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces and the Taliban rage on daily basis, the Afghan government has apparently made security and military operations its priority. President Ashraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money... in the cabinet meeting on Sunday said that Afghan Air Force is conducting up to 150 Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s every day.
The official note has also asked the government bodies to stop squander and providing National Technical Assistance (NTA) salaries.
The Taliban are now controlling Dand-e-Patan port in Paktia province, AiKhanum in Takhar province, SherKhan in Kunduz province, Islam Qala and Tor Ghundi in Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... province, Abu Nasr Farahi in Farah province and Spin Boldak dry port and crossing in Kandahar province
The decline in national revenue and rise in the expenditure of Security Forces have obliged the Afghan government to halt development projects.
The attack took place in the Torodi area of the Tillaberi region that lies along the common border, Niger’s defense ministry said in a statement.
The ministry said the attackers first ambushed the soldiers and then struck them with an improvised bomb as they were trying to take the maimed away for treatment.
The toll is "15 soldiers killed, seven maimed, and six missing," it said in a statement.
The statement also said troops had fanned out across the area and were conducting a search operation to target the assailants. It added that the air force was backing up the operation aimed at "apprehending the terrorists."
Tillaberi that also borders neighboring Mali is subject to frequent armed attacks.
Two separate attacks killed dozens of villagers in the region earlier this week.
The attacks come while the region, where the countries’ borders come together, has been placed under the surveillance of a hundreds-strong multi-national taskforce.
[ToloNews] The Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission in a report released Sunday said that 1,677 non-combatants were killed and 3,644 more were maimed in the first six months of this year, showing an 80% increase compared to the same period in 2020.
The watchdog says 1,594 security incidents occurred during this period.
In the first six months of 2020, the watchdog says, 1,213 non-combatants were killed and 1,744 more were maimed.
The report says that during this period 154 women were killed and 350 more were maimed. These numbers in 2020 were 126 killed and 171 maimed.
According to the report, of those killed, 373 were children. Also, 1,083 of those maimed are children.
The report says the Taliban ...Arabic for students... is responsible for 56% of the casualties (917 killed, and 2,061 injured), pro-government forces for 15% (229 killed, 565 injured), ISIS 7% (104 killed, 239 killed), and unknown perpetrators 22% (425 civilians killed and 765 civilians injured).
In 451 incidents, a total of 1,987 civilians have been harmed by IED blasts, roadside mines, car-bombs, and exploding mines or ordnance. This includes 587 civilians killed, and 1,400 others injured, the report says.
Targeted killing accounts for 30 percent of the total number of civilian casualties in the first six months of 2021, the report says, adding that this includes 1,634 civilian casualties (696 killed, 938 injured).
According to AIHRC findings, rocket fire and heavy weapon use accounted for 18% of total civilian casualties in the first six months of 2021.
In total, 940 civilians have been harmed due to rocket fire in the first six months of 2021. This includes 212 civilians killed, and 728 others injured. The civilian casualties caused by rocket fire during the same period in 2020 were 378 in total.
The report says that 21 non-combatants were killed and 79 of them were maimed in suicide kabooms.
Also, 81 non-combatants were killed and 326 were maimed in ground engagements between the government forces and anti-government gangs.
The report says that 77 non-combatants were killed and 136 more were maimed in Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s.
The report says night raids accounted for 12 civilians killed and 37 maimed.
[IsraelTimes] Tunisian security forces have arrested two MPs of an Islamist party opposed to a power grab by President Kais Saied, their party says today.
Maher Zid and Mohammed Affes of al-Karama have been placed in provisional detention in connection with a military investigation, party head Seifeddine Makhlouf says on Facebook.
Their arrest last night came a day after the detention of an independent MP, Yassine Ayari.
Ayari was arrested for branding Saied’s decision last Sunday to suspend parliament and sack the prime minister and other brass hats as a "military coup."
Al-Karama is linked to the Islamist-inspired Ennahdha party, the main opponent of the president.
[KhaamaPress] The United States Special Investigation General for Afghanistan Reconstruction in its latest report stated that the country plans to boost the air exports of Afghanistan.
The plan is sketched for a four-year period i.e. 2021-2025 and is said to be using five major airports of Afghanistan.
In order for the plan to get underway, the US is closely working with the Afghan government to renovate the Hamid Maybe I'll join the Taliban Karzai ...A product, and probably the sole product, of the Southern Alliance... International airport in Kabul, Kandahar in the south, Mazar-e-sharif in the north, Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... in the west, and Jalalabad airport in the east of Afghanistan.
The renovation process will also create up to 20,000 jobs and will boost Afghanistan’s air exports by 30 percent.
Since the start of experts through the air- air corridor- the war-ravaged country has exported $170 million worth of commercial goods to other countries.
Afghanistan mostly exports its dry fruits and a relatively large amount of fresh fruits and rugs. The Saffron of Afghanistan is the best of its kind in the world and the country is now the largest producer and exporter of pine nuts in the world.
Afghan pine nuts would have to be safer than the Chinese product that’s taken over the market. Opium products no doubt flow through traditional land routes...
The report comes at a time when the Taliban ...Arabic for students... are having control over six dry ports of the country which has decreased the national revenue of Afghanistan. Herat airport was a halt for a short period of time due to ongoing conflict and Kandahar has been changed to a battlefield between ANDSF and the Taliban.

The Biden administration is likely to respond as desired to such claims, whereas President Trump would have just laughed at the attempted manipulation.

The LNA now assumes control of the Fezzzan. From the article: "Libya’s warring sides said on Friday they had reopened the main coastal road connecting western and eastern Libya, a key element of a ceasefire they agreed to last year that has involved months of negotiations.
The UN-backed 5+5 Joint Military Commission is comprised of military officials from the eastern-based Libyan National Army (LNA) and western-based forces that have supported several Tripoli-based governments.
The 1,800 kilometre highway links the capital of Tripoli in the west with the city of Benghazi in the east. It has been closed since April 2019 when LNA Commander Khalifa Haftar launched a military operation to capture Tripoli from the previous Government of National Accord (GNA).

Weak American President.
Palestinian are weakened by recent fighting and hating each other.
Lebanon, Syria, and Iran are a mess.
Perfect timing.
[AlAhram] Three NGOs said Sunday that they rescued more than 400 people trying to cross the Mediterranean overnight after their boat ran into trouble.
The NGOs -- SOS Mediterranee, Sea-Watch and ResQship -- said that their rescue ships, the Ocean Viking, Sea-Watch 3 and Nadir, had picked up the migrants colonists after their "large wooden boat" had begun to take on water.
"All night until the early morning, together with @seawatch_intl & @resqship_int, we were engaged in the critical rescue of ~400 people," SOS Mediterranee tweeted.
"Survivors are now receiving care on #OceanViking & #SeaWatch3."
It was the fifth rescue operation by Ocean Viking since Saturday and the ship now has "449 survivors onboard in total", the NGO said.
According to the UN's International Organization for Migration, at least 1,146 people died in the first six months of this year as they tried to cross the Mediterranean to reach Europe.
SOS Mediterranee said it has rescued more than 30,000 people since February 2016.

"Rescued"? Sounds more like they're just the receiving end of a human trafficking gang.
[NYPOST] Deep-pocketed donors with ties to New York’s real-estate industry are still putting their money behind embattled three-term Gov. Andrew Sonny Cuomo ...Dem dynastic governor of Noo Yawk, the son and heir of the late Mario Cuoma and formerly married to a Kennedy. Acclaimed for his leadership during the COVID epidemic, he managed the nation's highest corpse count while successfully hiding the returns and writing a book praising himself. Among the nation's horniest politicians, he has about a dozen allegations of sexual harrassment and groping against him. Noo Yawk's politix being what they are, he is still hanging tough, waiting to ride it out.... , campaign records reveal.
Developers, landlords, building lenders and other industry associates pumped nearly $500,000 into Cuomo’s re-election coffers over the past six months.
That’s more than 20 percent of the $2.3 million raised by Cuomo for the first half of 2021.
Many of the contributions poured in right before the campaign fundraising deadline.
Housing activists blasted the donations, noting that an important state law expires next June 15 that gives luxury developers’ projects generous tax abatements for charging non-market or "affordable" rents for up to 30 percent of their new apartments.

Proof of how distorted New York's real estate market is. When people who make their livings off the trade in properties lose track of who is helping or hurting property rights, you got a big problem...

[NYPOST] A Belarusian Olympic sprinter plans to seek asylum in Germany or Austria on Monday after her country’s Olympic committee attempted to send her home for complaining about her coaches.
Krystsina Tsimanouskaya, 24, had been scheduled to compete in the women’s 200 meter race on Monday — before coaches came to her room Sunday and told her to pack.
"I will not return to Belarus," Tsimanouskaya told Rooters in a message via Telegram, after seeking protection from Japanese police.
"I think I am safe. I am with the police," she told a Rooters photographer who observed her standing with local officers at Haneda Airport.
The Belarusian Olympic Committee said in a statement that coaches pulled Tsimanouskaya from the Games due to her "emotional, psychological state."
Tsimanouskaya complained she was entered in the 4×400 m relay after some members of the team were found to be ineligible to compete at the Olympics because they had not undergone a sufficient amount of doping tests.
"Some of our girls did not fly here to compete in the 4×400 m relay because they didn’t have enough doping tests," Tsimanouskaya told Rooters from the airport.
"And the coach added me to the relay without my knowledge. I spoke about this publicly. The head coach came over to me and said there had been an order from above to remove me."

One of the perks of being good at something is someone somewhere will always value you.
It was a busy day for all involved. All is not hearts and flowers in Hezbollah-land these days.
[IsraelTimes] The Lebanese military deploys troops and armored vehicles to contain tensions, after heavy gunfire terrorizes residents.
At least two people were killed on Sunday south of the Lebanese capital, when button menshot up the funeral of a Hezbollah commander who was killed in a Dire Revenge shooting a day earlier, the group said.
The Lebanese military said they deployed troops and armored vehicles in the coastal town of Khaldeh to contain the tension, after heavy fire — including from rocket-propelled grenades — terrorized residents and brought traffic to a standstill. The button men remain on the lam.
The military warned that it would fire at any source of fire or anyone carrying weapons on the main road. It said one of its soldiers was injured in the shooting.
In a statement, Hezbollah called the attack a "planned ambush" and called on the military and security forces to restore peace and swiftly arrest the perpetrators and bring them to trial.
The violence is rooted in a personal vendetta. Lebanese media reported that a man from one of the Sunni Arab tribes of Khaldeh opened fire during a wedding party at a club on Saturday night, killing Ali Chebli, a fighter in Hezbollah.
Chebli’s killer was apprehended. His family explained the attack as Dire Revenge in a statement.
It accused Chebli of killing a 15-year-old relative of theirs in a shooting a year earlier. The Sunni Arab tribe said in a statement that authorities never brought Chebli to justice because he was under the protection of the powerful Hezbollah group.
A Hezbollah official said button men ambushed Chebli’s funeral procession when it reached the family home, firing at the mourners, killing his brother-in-law and a friend, and injuring others. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to brief news hounds. The official said the funeral was arranged by the family, not the party, indicating that it was not a formal funeral of the commander, who is also the owner of a shopping mall.
The army deployed to defuse the tensions and free the family, who had taken shelter in the house with the body.
Sectarian conflict in the area was sparked last year after a dispute over a Shiite religious banner that was hoisted in the area of the Sunni Arab tribes. Tensions often flare in the area.
Deadly armed clashes erupted Sunday in the coastal Khalde area south of Beirut during the funeral of a Hizbullah-linked man who was killed overnight in a vendetta shooting.
The clashes left at least five people including three Hizbullah members dead, a Lebanese security source told AFP.
Several people were also wounded in the exchange of fire.
The National News Agency said machineguns and RPG rockets were used heavily in the clashes, sparking panic among residents.
Media reports said three Hizbullah members were killed and several others were wounded when a convoy carrying Chebli’s coffin came under gunfire near his Khalde home.
MTV said shots were fired at the mourners convoy from several buildings in an apparent "ambush."
Media reports meanwhile said that the areas around Khalde were witnessing movements by Hizbullah members carrying machineguns.
The army later said that it reinforced its presence in Khalde, warning that troops would "open fire at any gunman who may be spotted in the area.
MTV for its part reports that a "political agreement" was reached on "leaving things to the army."
Chebli, an official of the Hizbullah-linked Resistance Brigades, was shot dead overnight at a wedding in Jiye by a member of Khalde's Arab tribes.
The shooter, who was swiftly arrested, is the brother of a 15-year-old teen who was killed in Khalde's clashes a year ago.
[AlAhram] The Armed Forces' operations come in conjunction with intensifying Naval Forces' combat operations, protecting strategic objectives, securing Egyptian economic interests
The Egyptian Armed Forces have successfully launched successive, qualitative operations against terrorist elements on all strategic directions of the country resulting in the killing of 89 "very dangerous takfiri ...an adherent of takfir wal hijra, an offshoot of Salafism that regards everybody who doesn't agree with them as apostates who most be killed... elements" in North Sinai during the previous period,
... an undefined term meaning something to them, though what it means they aren’t telling...
according to a statement by the General Command of the Armed Forces on Sunday.
"As a result of the valiant combat efforts of our armed forces in the areas of operations, eight of the armed forces' heroes have been martyred and maimed," the statement said.
The statement, which was published on the Facebook page of the Armed Forces spokeperson, revealed that 73 machine guns, 140 magazines, 5,606 bullets, 34 wireless communications devices, night-vision and camera-equipped drone, cell phones, a laptop and financial sums have been seized during the operations.
In addition, 52 vehicles and 59 cycle of violences, which were used by takfiris, have been destroyed by the Armed Forces during the operations and some 404 bombs and four suicide belts have been dismantled, the statement added.
The Border Guards, in cooperation with the military engineers, have succeeded in discovering and destroying 13 tunnel openings used by terrorist elements to infiltrate into North Sinai.
In regard to tightening security measures along Egypt’s western strategic direction, the Air Forces, in coordination with the Border Guards, have succeeded in carrying out preemptive strikes against terrorist elements, the statement noted.
These strikes on the western borders have resulted in destroying 200 four-wheel drive vehicles — some laden with weapons and ammunition — while attempting to sneak into forbidden areas along the country's western and southern borders, the statement read.
The Armed Forces' operations come in conjunction with intensifying Naval Forces' combat operations, protecting strategic objectives, securing Egyptian economic interests, and carrying out search and rescue operations in the Red Sea and Mediterranean Sea, according to the statement.
The Armed Forces also launched a major campaign to eliminate narcotic crops in South Sinai, resulting in the destruction of 842 farms of Bango and hydro-narcotic plants, and 1,114 farms of cannabis plants, the statement said.
"The Armed Forces’ men affirm that they are proceeding with determination to uproot what remains of the roots of terrorism and extremism and to continue construction and development in all parts of Egypt," the General Command of the Armed Forces said.
Since February 2018, the authorities have been conducting a nationwide operation against Islamist militants, mainly focused on North Sinai and the country's Western Desert.
Around 1060 suspected militants and dozens of security personnel have been killed in the Sinai, according to official figures.
[ToloNews] The government deployed more security forces to the western city of Herat ...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns... on Sunday a day after the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... advanced closer to the central parts of the city.
Local officials said that the festivities intensified in villages in the western parts of Herat city.
Abdul Rahman Rahman, senior deputy of the Interior Ministry, also visited Herat city on Sunday and said that a large-scale operation will be launched against the Taliban in Herat.
"We have come with the security forces from Kabul and these forces have joined Herat forces. We will act as soon as possible to defend the Herat people," he said.
The festivities have been ongoing in the western parts of Herat city and Guzara and Karokh districts over the past four days.
At least 20 people were killed, including 16 security force members, and 90 people were maimed in the past four days of fighting in Herat, according to data from Herat’s regional hospital.
Local officials said that "the Taliban has suffered heavy casualties during the festivities."
Reporters for Pajhwok news agency and Salam Watandar Radio were briefly taken captive by the Taliban on the battlefield but none were maimed, according to the news hounds.
"We had a 10-meter distance from the security forces," said Storai Karimi, a Pajhwok news hound, "we were surrounded by the Taliban."
Shekib Shams, news hound of Salam Watandar also said: "It was terrible because a few bullets hit our car. When I stopped the car, I saw that four Taliban had surrounded us and told us to take the car into the road."
The news hounds said that they were freed after an hour.
Security sources said the Taliban advanced this morning in Herat city, adding that "the Taliban launched large attacks on several villages in the west of Herat city and festivities are still ongoing."
"There are festivities in Pul-e-Malan on the battlefield and the Taliban were prevented from advancing. Sometimes troops move forward and then retreat but it does not mean that the lines were broken," said Abdul Saboor Qane, provincial governor.
Colonel Mohammad Nasir Alizai, commander of a commando unit from Zafar 207 Military Corps, said: "The Taliban's war is a psychological war, and it wants to cause panic among the people. I urge the people of Herat not to lose their spirit."
Clashes in the city of Herat began their fourth day on Sunday. Clashes are underway in the southern part of Herat near Malan Bridge, which was taken over by the Taliban on Saturday.
Defense Ministry front man Fawad Aman said hundreds of reinforcements arrived in the city on Sunday morning.
Hundreds of families have been displaced from their homes in the southern parts of Herat city due to the ongoing festivities, local officials said.
Taliban attacks on the city of Herat were criticized on Saturday by some politicians and analysts who say they are a clear violation of the group's commitments to the Doha agreement.
The Taliban said that the group has made no commitment to not attack major cities.
The reinforcement includes nearly 150 fully equipped Afghan commandoes and will be deployed and stationed in areas where needed, said local officials.
Meanwhile, ...back at the shouting match, a new, even louder, voice was to be heard... the Ministry of Defense on Sunday said that 66 Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... fighters were killed and 13 more maimed as a result of Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s in Enjeel district and center of Herat province.
The Facebook post of the ministry further reads that a large amount of weaponry of the Taliban has also been seized during the operations.
Last night, a special get-together was hosted by the Lower House Speaker Mir Rahman Rahmani which was aimed at discussing the overall security situation of Afghanistan and particularly that of Herat province. The meeting was attended by NSA Hamdullah Muhib, head of HCNR Abdullah Abdullah ...the former foreign minister of the Northern Alliance government, advisor to Masood, and candidate for president against both Karzai and Ghani. Dr. Abdullah was born in Kabul and is half Tadjik and half Pashtun. He also held the meaningless salaried sop position as CEO of Afghanistan, while Ghani was president... , former vice-president Yunus Qanuni and a number of MPs.
In the meeting, Ismail Khan was offered as provincial governor of Herat province and head of the Security Council of the province. Ismail Khan, the former warlord is now fighting the Taliban in the province.
Besides, some other names were also given to be appointed as commander of national police and head of the Afghan military in Herat province.
Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin's take:
...meanwhile, the militants are already wandering the streets of Herat. Ismail Khan, whom the government is hoping for, today called on Herat residents (both men and women) to take up arms to repel the "invasion of the army of ignorance."
In the areas of Herat occupied by the Taliban, the mullahs quickly changed their shoes and are broadcasting from mosques calls for the military and police to surrender to the Taliban.
Such is the information war for the Afghani.

[AlAhram] An Illinois tax agency has ruled that former President Donald Trump ...His ancestors didn't own any slaves... is due a $1 million refund on the 2011 tax bill for his downtown reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... skyscraper, but local officials are trying to block the refund.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports that at issue is the Cook County Board of Review's estimation of the value of the the Trump International Hotel & Tower's rooms and retail space. In June, the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board voted 5-0 to reduce the assessment on the building's commercial property.
The vote means that Trump is owed $1.03 million, money that would come out of the property taxes due the city of Chicago, the Chicago Public Schools and several other government agencies. The Cook County State's Attorney is disputing the refund and has filed a lawsuit with the Illinois Appellate Court in the hopes of blocking it.
The dispute is the latest chapter in a long-running legal battle over Trump's tax bills that started more than 12 years ago and has led to more than $14 million in tax breaks for Trump. It also involves not only a former president who is at the middle of a host of legal battles but a Chicago alderman whose own legal troubles had been making headlines in Chicago for months.
Alderman Edward M. Burke, whose former law firm, Klafter & Burke, won the tax breaks for Trump, has been indicted on federal charges that he blocked businesses from getting city permits unless they hired the firm. He has pleaded not guilty "Wudn't me." and is awaiting trial.
The dispute over the tax bills on the high-rise building has it's own long history. Originally, the state agency rejected Trump's argument that the vacant stores had no value because he could not find any tenants to lease them. But a staff member later wrote a report that Trump was entitled to the refund.
The agency delayed acting on the case until Trump was out of office and in June voted to reduce the assessment on the building's commercial property.
[NYPOST] Eighteen people were shot overnight in New York City overnight, including a mass shooting in Queens and two men who were rubbed out in Brooklyn in separate incidents early Sunday morning.
In Canarsie, a man was blasted just before 4:30 a.m. with multiple bullets in his torso by two button men, who expeditiously departed at a goodly pace, while sitting in his car outside a Dunkin Donuts at 1547 Ralph Ave, according to police sources. Medics rushed the maimed 32-year-old to Brookdale Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He's dead, Jim! about an hour later, police sources said.
Shortly after, a man was shot in the chest in Crown Heights, police sources said. A shooter fired at a 26-year-old man Utica Avenue and Sterling Place, where the victim was hit in the chest at 4:49 a.m., the sources said. The man was taken to Kings County hospital and is fighting for his life, cop sources said.

[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Generals in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards have urged parliament to pass the Legislation to Protect Cyberspace Users’ Rights, a proposed bill which aims to limit the use of Instagram and other social media networks in the country, Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. Parliament member Abbas Moradi said the bill aims to make Iranian users of Instagram emigrate to a new domestic platform. Instagram is the only major social network not blocked in Iran.
Moradi admitted that there is no domestic platform like Instagram at the moment, but he has promised the launch of what he released as "Instagram Plus" which he said would be "safe."
Moradi aimed that the bandwidth currently used by Instagram users will gradually be reduced in proportion to extent of its substitution by the domestic version.

So how's that Islamic Revolution thing working out for all y'all? Do you miss the Shah? I know it sounds like gloating, he said trying not to gloat, but I'm actually curious. If an Islamic Revolution has brought happiness, health and prosperity to your generic Iranian person, then maybe more people should try it. Or not.
The #US is planning a new sanctions campaign against #Iran’s evolving capabilities for precision strikes using drones and guided missiles, US officials tell The Wall Street Journal.https://t.co/UXjABK5DG0

Didn't the Iranians recover a US Drone about 10 or 11 years ago?
YEP!
On 5 December 2011, an American Lockheed Martin RQ-170 Sentinel unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) was captured by Iranian forces near the city of Kashmar in northeastern Iran. ... The United States government initially denied the claims but later President Obama acknowledged that the downed aircraft was a US drone.
Very Interesting Hummmm! ...and on President Obama's watch too.....
The US military located it first and begged Obama for permission to destroy it. Momma Valerie and her boy decided their Iranian homies needed a nice gift, stealth packaging and all. A few years after that, the Iranians, Chinese and Russians began deploying GPS guided UAVs.
In addition, by not destroying the drone, Obama also gave the Iranians, Chinese and Russians advanced electro-optic surveillance equipment, probably a miniaturized AESA radar, multi-spectral and radiation sensors, miniaturized satellite communications and other things beyond my ken. Traitor. Spit.

The record of 'precision strikes' hasn't changed much in motivation or heading of most regimes and cults. Bombing the f* out of Germany and Japan had the effect of ending hundreds of years of militarism inherit in the culture. Just saying. Maybe someday they'll get back to waging war and not the ineffective substitute for it.

[ColonelCassad] In Kandahar, a local airport came under rocket fire today.
Taliban militants continue to roam the suburbs, but have made no serious attempts to navigate Kandahar, despite belligerent statements. Obviously, if they go in for the assault, then there will be a serious battle for Kandahar. The loss of the city and airfield will put an end to the government's hopes of keeping at least something in the south of Afghanistan.
Flights out of Kandahar, Afghanistan's second-largest city and was also the former bastion of the krazed killers, were halted after rockets struck the airport before dawn.
Airport chief Massoud Pashtun said two rockets had hit the runway and repairs were underway with planes likely to resume service later on Sunday.
The facility is vital to maintaining the logistical and air support needed to keep the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... from overrunning the city, while also providing aerial cover for large tracts of southern Afghanistan.

Good photos for Skidmark’s Daily Mail link. I find it fascinating to see fingers laid alongside triggers instead of on them, a lasting legacy of our time in so many parts of the world.

[REGNUM] As a result of shelling by Ukrainian militants on July 30, four servicemen of the Donetsk People's Republic were killed. This was announced today, August 1, by the military department of the DPR.
Ukrainian armed formations opened fire in the area of the settlement of Petrovskoe in the DPR. One soldier of the republic was wounded. An ambulance was sent after him, which also came under fire. As a result, four DPR servicemen were killed.
As REGNUM previously reported , the Ukrainian side continues to disregard the ceasefire in Donbass, despite the fact that from July 27, 2020, additional measures to control the ceasefire have been in force, agreed by the contact group, which includes a representative from Kiev.
[ToloNews] Officials at an army corps base in Zabul province in southern Afghanistan illegally sold at least 300,000 liters of Afghan forces' aviation gasoline at local markets, and then created a cover story that the fuel was lost in a rocket attack at their base, said sources.
Abdul Ghafoor Hotaki, the commander of Zabul garrison, and Sefatullah, the commander of the 2nd regiment of the Afghan Army’s Atal Corps, were allegedly involved in the sale. These two officials sold 300,000 liters of fuel that was kept in storage tanks reserved for the second regiment and was intended for use by the security forces, said sources from security agencies and from Zabul.
Another official allegedly involved in the selling of the fuel is Rahmatullah, the commander of a local forces group led by the NDS that are known as Mofreza forces, sources said.
The fuel was stored in a reserve area that belonged to a private contractor that sold aviation fuel to the army.
"The government’s fuel is sold because these people have become accustomed to embezzlement," said Abdul Alim Kharoti, a Zabul resident.
"The government is damaged... that’s why there are many problems in this sector," said Esmatullah Safi, a Zabul resident.
When the storage tanks at the 2nd regiment area were empty, those involved in the case detonated three magnetic IEDs to claim the tanks were damaged in a rocket attack and that the fuel was lost due to leaks, sources said. The attempt was made to mislead the newly appointed commander of the regiment. However, a woman is only as old as she admits... photos and video footage from the area show that the fuel tanks were damaged on the bottom, not the top.
"There might be some people who sell or purchase the fuel," said Taoos Khan, a shopkeeper.
"The fuel is purchased by those who have the ability to buy it, or sell it," said Mohammad Nabi, a shopkeeper.
Zabul officials did not comment on the matter. But a government front man said the matter will be investigated.
"It is an issue that needs to be investigated. Our first response is that we are not convinced, and we don’t think such an issue exists," said ANDSF front man Omar Shinwari.
This is not the first time that fuel belonging to the security and defense forces has been sold. Reports also exist of the selling of arms and food belonging to army forces. Some officials have been put on trial for selling military resources.
Los Angeles, Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,’s largest city, has over 66,000 unhoused people as of the last citywide count, a 12.7 percent increase over the previous year. After implementing the new rule, those thousands of homeless people will now face citations, fines, or misdemeanor charges for being homeless, The Independent reported.
The Los Angeles City Council approved the legislation against the homeless people by 13-2 earlier this week.
"That’s what it comes down to for me ... where can people go, where can people sleep when they do not have an alternative," council member Mike Bonin said in the meeting where they approved the ordinance.
Bonin, who himself was homeless, was angry that the city only has shelter capacity to house about 39 percent of its unhoused population any given night.
