#1  Women’s 1960s fashion was an extreme style and attitude from the start of the decade to the end. In the early years, the fashion idol was Jackie Kennedy with her perfect white pearls and tailored suit dresses. By the middle of the decade, supermodel Twiggy had women freeing their minds and bodies into clothing that didn’t require any extra thought or effort. From modest to “there is no such thing as too short,” 1960s fashion was in many ways like the 1920s flapper revolution. But it didn’t happen overnight.

Jackie Kennedy, Brigitte Bardot, and Mary Quant were fashion icons.
The Youthquake movement created “Babydoll” clothing.
Short, shapeless shift dresses in bright colors and colorblock patterns became a staple of the Mod look.
Button-down shirts, turtlenecks, and chunky knit sweaters made up casual outfits.
Mini skirts or pencil skirts in plaid were a teen’s school outfit.
Jax pants, stirrup pants, bell bottoms, and pantsuits were new trends.
Low heel flats, boots, and vinyl shoes made up footwear.
Stockings or tall socks came in all colors.
Pop Art Jewelry emerged.
Hair could be short and bobbed or long and straight.

VIDEO Emerges of Fauci and HHS Officials Plotting for ‘A New Avian Flu Virus' to Enforce Universal Flu Vaccination
[GatewayPundit] Alex Jones of Infowars made a special broadcast on Monday night regarding an explosive video of Fauci with HHS officials and other health experts discussing how to enforce Universal Flu Vaccination in a summit organized by Milken Institute in Washington, DC last October 2019.

Alex Jones highlighted three clips from the hour-long video of the summit from C-SPAN which proved the COVID-19 pandemic was planned and the Big Pharma worked with the UN and other corrupt government officials to develop and release the COVID-19 virus ahead of ’Great Reset’.

The first clip featured Michael Specter, a journalist from The New Yorker and also an adjunct professor of bioengineering at Stanford University, Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and Rick Bright, the director of HHS Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA).

In this video, they conceptualized having a new outbreak of novel avian flu virus from China so they can bypass the method of FDA approval and enforce mRNA vaccine to the masses.

Here’s the transcript:

Michael Specter: Why don’t we blow the system up? I mean obviously, we can’t just turn off the spigot on the system. We have and then say, hey everyone in the world should get this new vaccine that we haven’t given to anyone yet. But there must be some way that we grow vaccines mostly in eggs the way we did in 1947.

Fauci: In order to make the transition from getting out of the tried-and-true egg growing which we know gives us results that can be beneficial, I mean we’ve done well with that. There must be something that has to be much better. You have to prove that this works and then you’ve got to go through all of the clinical trials: phase 1, phase 2, phase 3, and then show that this particular product is going to be good over a period of years. That alone, if it works perfectly, it’s going to take a decade.

Bright: There might be a need or even an urgent call for an entity of excitement out there that’s completely disruptive, that’s not beholden to bureaucratic strings and processes.

Fauci: So we really do have a problem of how the world perceives influenza and it’s going to be very difficult to change that unless you do it from within and save.. I don’t care what your perception is, we’re going to address the problem in a disruptive and in an iterative way because she does need both.

Bright: But it is not too crazy to think that an outbreak of novel avian virus could occur in China somewhere. We could get the RNA sequence from that.. to a number of regional centers if not local, if not even in your home at some point, and print those vaccines on a patch of self-administer.

More from Medical Kidnap:

Joining Fauci, Rick Bright, and Michael Specter at this event were: Margaret Hamburg, Foreign Secretary, National Academy of Medicine, Bruce Gellin, President, Global Immunization, Sabin Vaccine Institute, Casey Wright, CEO, FluLab.

In short, this panel discussion focused on what they perceived as the need for a universal flu vaccine, but they admitted that the old way of producing vaccines was not sufficient for their purposes, and that they needed some kind of global event where many people were dying to be able to roll out a new mRNA vaccine to be tested on the public.

They all agreed that the annual flu virus was not scary enough to create an event that would convince people to get a universal vaccine. And as we now know today, about 2 years after this event, that "terrifying virus" that was introduced was the COVID-19 Sars virus.

And so now we know why the flu just "disappeared" in the 2020-21 flu season. It was simply replaced by COVID-19, in a worldwide cleverly planned "pandemic" to roll out the world’s first universal mRNA vaccines.

This was always the goal, and previous efforts through various influenzas, AIDS, Ebola, and other "viruses" were all unsuccessful in leading to the development of a universal vaccine to inject into the entire world’s population.

Margaret Hamburg stated regarding getting a "Universal Vaccine" into the market: "It’s time to stop talking, and it’s time to act... I think it is also because we haven’t had a sense of urgency."

Michael Specter asked: "Do we need lots of people to die for that sense of urgency to occur?"

Hamburg replied that: "There are already lots of people dying" from the flu each year.

Bruce Gellin stated that basically people just are not afraid enough of the term "the flu."

There are so many things that are revealed about how Big Pharma and government health authorities think in this panel discussion. For example, they bemoan the fact that if they do too good of a job in public health, then they lose funding to develop products that fight viruses.

Michael Specter states: "It seems to me that one of the curses of the public health world is, if you guys do your job well, everyone goes along well and healthy."

So now when you come down with the super-special version of viral pneumonia they don't do all the things that they did for viral pneumonia in the past... like z-packs and antihistamines...
Hamburg: "And they cut your funding."

Rick Bright complains that the yearly distribution of flu vaccines is inefficient in terms of collecting data, and in the process actually admits that some vaccines just don’t work well:

"We distribute 150 million doses of the seasonal (flu) vaccines every year, we don’t even know how many people are being vaccinated from the doses that are delivered to the people, which doses they got, and what the real outcome was, so that we can learn from that knowledge base on how to optimize or improve our vaccine. So there are opportunities that we have today...

I think if we uncloaked the poorest performing vaccines in the market place today, it might be very revealing to tell us which of the technologies we have, and allow us to go deeper into those technologies to determine why they are more effective. There are vaccines licenses today that are more effective. I think that we’re just afraid to admit the truth."

#8  I want those in charge of medical research to be thinking about new ways to identify diseases, better ways to develop treatments and cures, and methods to manufacture and distribute them more quickly. That at some point a new, virulent pandemic was going to come down the pike has been the concern ever since the Spanish flu infected a third of the world population in 1918, killing 20-30 million people.

The FDA has become slower and more risk averse just over the decades that I’ve been paying attention, to the point that it did indeed take this overhyped pandemic to get them to take their collective foot off the brake for both tests for the thing and vaccines. We’d be better off if they did so more often.

As for the universal flu vaccine, that’s been a holy grail of vaccine research for decades, because it would end the need for developing new vaccines each year based on what each year is hoped were the variants that travelled round the world and prevent 300,000-600,000 deaths annually.

Rick Bright complains that the yearly distribution of flu vaccines is inefficient in terms of collecting data, and in the process actually admits that some vaccines just don’t work well:

Both points are true. Especially that some flu vaccines don’t work well — because the varieties for which the vaccines were made that year turned out not to be the varieties that spread.

#9  That at some point a new, virulent pandemic was going to come down the pike has been the concern ever since the Spanish flu infected a third of the world population in 1918, killing 20-30 million people.

I am given to understand that a lot of the deaths from the Spanish Flu were actually due to bacterial pneumonia. Let's see... the first link I find on google...

Bacterial Pneumonia Caused Most Deaths in 1918 Influenza Pandemic:

Implications for Future Pandemic Planning

The majority of deaths during the influenza pandemic of 1918-1919 were not caused by the influenza virus acting alone, report researchers from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health. Instead, most victims succumbed to bacterial pneumonia following influenza virus infection. The pneumonia was caused when bacteria that normally inhabit the nose and throat invaded the lungs along a pathway created when the virus destroyed the cells that line the bronchial tubes and lungs.

A future influenza pandemic may unfold in a similar manner, say the NIAID authors, whose paper in the Oct. 1 issue of The Journal of Infectious Diseases is now available online. Therefore, the authors conclude, comprehensive pandemic preparations should include not only efforts to produce new or improved influenza vaccines and antiviral drugs but also provisions to stockpile antibiotics and bacterial vaccines as well.

The work presents complementary lines of evidence from the fields of pathology and history of medicine to support this conclusion. "The weight of evidence we examined from both historical and modern analyses of the 1918 influenza pandemic favors a scenario in which viral damage followed by bacterial pneumonia led to the vast majority of deaths," says co-author NIAID Director Anthony S. Fauci, M.D. "In essence, the virus landed the first blow while bacteria delivered the knockout punch."

NIAID co-author and pathologist Jeffery Taubenberger, M.D., Ph.D., examined lung tissue samples from 58 soldiers who died of influenza at various U. S. military bases in 1918 and 1919. The samples, preserved in paraffin blocks, were re-cut and stained to allow microscopic evaluation. Examination revealed a spectrum of tissue damage "ranging from changes characteristic of the primary viral pneumonia and evidence of tissue repair to evidence of severe, acute, secondary bacterial pneumonia," says Dr. Taubenberger. In most cases, he adds, the predominant disease at the time of death appeared to have been bacterial pneumonia. There also was evidence that the virus destroyed the cells lining the bronchial tubes, including cells with protective hair-like projections, or cilia. This loss made other kinds of cells throughout the entire respiratory tract — including cells deep in the lungs — vulnerable to attack by bacteria that migrated down the newly created pathway from the nose and throat.

That was the first link. At the National Institute of Health.

(The second link? Reuters, "Fact check: Fauci study did not attribute 1918 Spanish flu deaths..." and then it cuts off. If I follow the link they're arguing about masks.)

But anyway. This is the ONLY viral pneumonia where if you're bad enough to go to the hospital_they won't give you azithromycin just to be sure. (Unless you're allergic, of course.)

This is why I think the Spanish Nursing Home protocol's supression, azithromycin and all, is even more damning than the stuff with the HCQ and IVM (as damning as it is). Because AFAICT
they used a slightly adjusted standard treatment protocol for pneumonia from the year 2016.

And y'know, I don't think the guys who made the decision to supress that are the same people you can count on to actually get the universal flu shot right.

Palantir scores US Army contract to build out intelligence data fabric
[C4ISRnet] WASHINGTON — The Army has awarded Palantir an $823 million contract to enable an intelligence data fabric and analytics as part of an effort to modernize legacy battlefield intelligence systems, the Army announced Wednesday.

The award is specifically for capability drop 2 for the Distributed Common Ground System and will deliver a data fabric for intelligence across the world. The Army said capability drop 2 software will serve as the base data platform supporting and enabling enterprise intelligence data management and operations.

The Army in recent years has adopted a capability drop approach, incrementally adding software to previous builds to ensure the service is harnessing the latest technological advancements.

This particular program is a next-generation version of the Distributed Common Ground System, which disseminated intelligence data to forces on the battlefield. It’s meant to help the Army be better postured to fight and win against near-peer adversaries.

Palantir will provide users with a globally federated intelligence data fabric and analytics platform spanning multiple security classifications, the company said in a release. The system will enable data integration, correlation, fusion and analytic capabilities.

In future battles, soldiers will need access to timely intelligence collected from an exponential number of sensors as well as national intelligence agencies. This data fabric is meant to create a central repository for that data to be analyzed and shared.

Watch Michigan Resident's Brutal Reaction When He Finds Out Biden Is Going to Visit His Town
[Western Journal] Amid much opposition, President Joe Biden continues to champion his $1 trillion infrastructure plan. His latest pitch took place in Michigan on Tuesday.

Biden won the state in the 2020 election, thanks mostly to large numbers of Democratic voters in Detroit and the surrounding area. But a large majority of counties in Michigan voted for then-President Donald Trump.

When Biden visited to make his questionable infrastructure pitch, he went to one of those pro-Trump counties. Specifically, the president visited the city of Howell in Livingston County, WXYZ-TV reported.

Biden won just 38 percent of the vote in Livingston County, compared with 61 percent for Trump.

If Howell resident Leonard Petty is any indication, the president has not won widespread support in the area during his eight-plus months in office.

The Pandora Papers Reveal How the Super-Rich Shaft the Rest of Us
[The Nation] A just-released "Panama Papers on steroids" show how the US has become a major tax haven and destination for illicit wealth.

The Pandora Papers, a massive leak of secret data about the illicit financial activities of the super-wealthy, will be supplying revelations for weeks and probably months to come.

The Pandora Papers undertaking involved 600 journalists from 117 countries and was coordinated by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) in what they describe as the "largest-ever journalistic collaborative." (You can follow rolling releases at The Washington Post, the US partner in the collaboration, and The Guardian, the UK partner.)

Five and a half years ago, the ICIJ released the Panama Papers, which focused on a leak from a single Panamanian law firm, Mossack Fonseca. According to Gerald Ryle, director of the ICIJ, the Pandora Papers are "the Panama Papers on steroids."

The Pandora leaks come from confidential records at 14 different offshore wealth service firms in Switzerland, Singapore, Cyprus, Samoa, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, as well as wealth managers in well-known tax havens such as Belize, Seychelles, The Bahamas, and the British Virgin Islands. These firms help wealthy individuals and corporations to form trusts and foundations, incorporate companies, and establish other entities in low- or no-tax jurisdictions.

The Pandora team analyzed almost 12 million files from these firms, including leaked e-mails, memos, tax declarations, bank statements, passport scans, diagrams of corporate structures, secret spreadsheets, and clandestine real estate contracts. Some reveal the real owners of opaque shell companies for the first time.

In the coming weeks, we will learn more about the 130 global billionaires with ownership entities in secrecy jurisdictions (100 with total assets worth more than $600 billion in 2021). US citizens are so far underrepresented in these leaks, largely because of where the wealth service providers were located. No US wealth-advisory firms were part of the leaks. Nonetheless, more than 700 companies revealed in the Pandora Papers have ties to real human owners in the US.

The big news for rest of the world is how the United States has become a major tax haven and global destination for illicit wealth. Earlier leaks, such as the Panama and Paradise papers, reinforced the misperception that most of these financial shell games take place "offshore," in secrecy jurisdictions and tax havens in small countries with weak banking laws.

Short-staffed 911 call centers lead to longer waits in emergencies

#2  Summit County OH EMS in a crisis
Akron Beacon Journal

AKRON, Ohio — Fire departments across the county are reporting higher-than-normal wait times at local hospitals due to staffing shortages in emergency departments.

These delays are affecting the ability of emergency medical crews to respond to subsequent calls and increasing their response times when people call 911...

Cuyahoga Falls Chief Chris Martin said it's not uncommon for the department to have multiple units tied up for 1 to 2½ hours waiting to transfer care of a patient.

"It's killing operations," he said.

Dr. Sonny Bare, emergency medical director of Western Reserve Hospital in Cuyahoga Falls, confirmed that a squad waited 55 minutes last week.

"While traditionally we have zero to minimal EMS wait times, we are facing similar challenges as our peers, finding recent wait times increasing to 20 minutes," he said.

About three weeks ago, at least one hospital, Summa Akron City, stopped providing EMS units estimated wait times without explanation, Martin said.

I have to agree with the NYCLU when back on Dec. 10th, 2020. They filed a complaint letter with the Fed's and called Google not honor the unconstitutional “geofence warrants”.

In part their letter said.
"These blanket warrants circumvent constitutional checks on police surveillance, creating a virtual dragnet of our religious practices, political affiliations, sexual orientation, and more."

The question is how much more will this Congress and Admin mimic the typical Rise to Power of other Socialist Coups.

Yes VPN and TOR are a added step.

There are other way that allow ISP's and the Fed's to track and provide DNS lookup data, IP Connection info to VPN's, Google cookie funded websites tracking, your MAC id, data load and etc... All open the door to Super System correlation of data.

EXAMPLE:
Ever have a VPN and forget to disconnect before using G-Mail? Remember all those followup security questions?
Like was this you? That then ties you to the VPN issued address.

Biden says he and Xi have agreed to abide by Taiwan agreement amid tensions
[FoxNews] Beijing sent a record 145 fighter jets into Taiwan’s air defense zone for four consecutive days over the weekend and Taiwanese officials have warned of the possibility of a misfire or a war between the two countries, BBC News reported.

Biden was seemingly referring to the U.S.’ longstanding "one China" policy, meaning the White House doesn’t officially recognize Taiwan’s sovereignty and the 1979 Taiwan Relations Act, which allows for non-diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Taiwan and obligates the U.S. to help the island maintain its self-defense against China.

The act is predicated on China being peaceful toward Taiwan, according to Reuters.

The U.S. also reportedly reassured the Taiwan Foreign Ministry that its commitment to the island was "rock solid" after Taiwan reached out for clarification.

Taiwan separated from mainland China in 1949 and considers itself a sovereign country while Beijing thinks of it as a breakaway province that could be annexed by force if necessary.

South Africa's Desmond Tutu aka 'The Red Arch' turns 90 amid new racist slur
CAPE TOWN, South Africa (AP) — As South Africa’s anti-apartheid icon Archbishop Desmond Tutu turns 90, recent racist graffiti on a portrait of the Nobel winner highlights the continuing relevance of his work for equality.

Often hailed as the conscience of South Africa, Tutu was a key campaigner against South Africa’s previous brutal system of oppression against the country’s Black majority. After South Africa achieved democracy in 1994, he continued to be an outspoken proponent of reconciliation, justice and LBGT rights.

The racial insult sprayed last month on a mural of Tutu in Cape Town is "loathsome and sad," said Mamphela Ramphele, acting chairwoman of the Desmond and Leah Tutu Trust.

South Africans must continue Tutu’s work for racial equality, she told The Associated Press.

"Racism is a curse South Africa must escape," said Ramphele. "Archbishop Tutu’s legacy is huge. He fought against racism and fought for the humanity of us all."

Although frail, Tutu is expected to attend a service on Thursday, his birthday, at St. George’s Cathedral in central Cape Town, where as the country’s first Black Anglican archbishop he delivered sermons excoriating apartheid.

He was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984 for his campaign of nonviolent opposition to South Africa’s system of white minority rule.

After retiring as archbishop in 1996, Tutu was chairman of South Africa’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission which investigated human rights abuses during the apartheid era.

Despite the serious nature of his work, Tutu brought an irrepressible humor to his frequent public appearances. Notably, he supported LBGT rights and same-sex marriage.

"I would not worship a God who is homophobic and that is how deeply I feel about this," he said in 2013. "I would refuse to go to a homophobic heaven. No, I would say ’Sorry, I would much rather go to the other place.’"

Tutu said he was "as passionate about this campaign (for LGBT rights) as I ever was about apartheid. For me, it is at the same level."

He withdrew from public life in 2010 and issued statements through his foundation. He has been treated for prostate cancer and was hospitalized several times in 2015 and 2016, and underwent a surgical procedure to address recurring infections from past cancer treatment.

At the church service Thursday, fellow anti-apartheid campaigner Alan Boesak is to speak. There will also be an online seminar about Tutu’s life and values to be addressed by the Dalai Lama; the widow of Nelson Mandela, Graca Machel; former Irish Prime Minister Mary Robinson; and South African governance advocate Thuli Madonsela.

Moving on Up: LA and Seattle Homeless Will Be Relocated to Taxpayer-Funded Luxury Apartments
[PJ] Three glistening new buildings in downtown Seattle with 165 studio apartments — originally to be rented at market rates — will instead house the homeless.

The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) is buying the buildings with taxpayer dollars for about $50 million, with federal COVID-19 relief funds splitting the cost equally. Seattle City Hall is contributing about $25 million, while also using "American Rescue Plan Act" funds. A large portion comes from Washington State’s Department of Commerce.

Left-wing Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan, so unpopular she can’t run for re-election, claims the deals will house people quickly and cheaply, compared to the time and cost required to develop similar projects from scratch. The three upscale buildings should be occupied by the end of the year.

Tent encampments in public spaces have grown in Seattle for decades, especially during the pandemic, due to poor leadership and unaffordable housing. Durkan recently extended Seattle’s so-called eviction moratoriums for the sixth time.

"The city and county have been enabling the homeless for a couple decades, and that’s what’s made the problem worse," a lifelong Seattle-area resident told PJ Media Wednesday. "They destroy the hotels they get put in and have turned the city into a place that rivals a third world country. The homeless are far more dangerous than the gangs are in Seattle, and yes, Seattle has a big gang problem."

Senator Tom Cotton Predicts Supreme Court Will Overturn Roe v. Wade
[Free Beacon] Sen. Tom Cotton (R., Ark.) told attendees at a Federalist Society conference this week that he expects the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade, given that a majority of its members profess to be textualists and originalists.

The senator this week delivered remarks at the University Club of Washington, D.C. The speech covered a range of legal topics, including a case the justices will hear in December that asks whether Roe should be overturned. The event was closed to the press, but a source in the room conveyed portions of Cotton's remarks to the Washington Free Beacon.

Cotton's comments come amid a budding influence campaign around the December case, Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Center. Judicial liberals have divided over strategies for protecting abortion rights before the conservative Court. Some pro-abortion activists, such as the 50-odd demonstrators who picketed Justice Brett Kavanaugh's home on Sept. 15, favor direct political action against the justices themselves. Others recommend a conciliatory approach.

"The only thing standing in the way of justices doing the right thing is the intense social pressure of liberal elites," Cotton told conference attendees.

"Now is the time for true friends of the Constitution to speak up," he added.

Mossad kidnapped an Iranian general to obtain info on Ron Arad – report
A tale of which nightmares are made. In certain circles, anyway.
[IsraelTimes] Hebrew media reports reverse course on operation, citing sources indicating it was a success after earlier reporting it as a failure.

A recent Mossad operation that aimed to discover information about the whereabouts of missing Israeli airman Ron Arad saw agents kidnap an Iranian general for interrogation, according to an Arabic-language report.

Mossad agents took the man from Syria to an unnamed African country, interrogated him there, and eventually released him, the London-based Rai al-Youm online newspaper reported on Monday.

[Rudaw] Iraq will hold early elections Sunday as a concession to a youth-led protest movement, but in Nasiriyah, the city at the heart of the revolt, most young people won't vote.

Ahead of the parliamentary polls, the mood in Nasiriyah and much of Iraq is sombre with little hope the election will bring much-needed change to the war-scarred country.

"Elections in Iraq are rigged," said 21-year-old Anas, echoing a common sentiment among young adults in the impoverished southern city.

Suspected Turkish airstrikes damage homes in Erbil village
[Rudaw] Suspected Ottoman Turkish Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s targeting the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) caused material damage in a village in northern Erbil province on Tuesday morning, a local official told Rudaw. There are no reports of casualties.

Ottoman Turkish warplanes struck the border of Sidakan sub-district "targeting a PKK headquarters," said Sidakan Mayor Ihsan Chalabi.

A second strike hit the outskirts of Bola village, causing material damage, Chalabi added.

Hakim Yaseen is from Bola village. He was not at home this morning but his family told him that there was a lot of damage to houses in the village and trees were burned.

"This was the fifth or six such attack in these areas," Yaseen said. "The explosion was very strong. All the shrapnel and rocks hit the village."

The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
frequently carries out cross-border ground and air offensives against alleged positions of the PKK, an gang fighting for greater rights for Kurds in Turkey and has bases in the Kurdistan Region. Ankara considers it a terrorist organization. In April, Turkey launched the twin operations Claw-Lightning and Claw-Thunderbolt in northern Duhok against the PKK.

Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
also targets Kurdish opposition groups within the Kurdistan Region’s borders.

There have been more than 400 military incursions into the Kurdistan Region so far this year, endangering innocent civilians, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) coordinator for international advocacy Dindar Zebari said on September 22, without naming any nation or group. Sidakan was one area of concern where Zebari said airstrikes and artillery fire have hit in populated areas.

Civilian populations and the environment have been severely damaged by the Turkey-PKK conflict. Thousands of acres of land have been scorched, and people’s houses and livestock have been hit.

Landmines are also a hazard in the Sidakan area. One person was injured in a kaboom in April.

The KRG has repeatedly called on Turkey to respect its illusory sovereignty and for the PKK to cease using Kurdistan Region territory to launch attacks on its neighbor.

[TASS] An unidentified young woman who survived the Favorit shipwreck in the Kandalaksha Bay in the White Sea has died of hypothermia on the way to hospital, a source in the local emergencies service told TASS on Tuesday.

"The girl who survived the shipwreck has died of hypothermia on the way to hospital," the source said.

This information was confirmed by a spokesman for the Russian Investigative Committee’s Western transport investigation department.

"Three persons are missing, one man is alive and a woman died in the ambulance," the spokesman told TASS.

According to earlier reports, rescuers were sent to the scene but the operation is complicated by the stormy weather with high waves and wind gusts of up to 16 m/s.

The privately-owned Favorit sent a distress signal from an area east of the Kandalaksha Bay in the White Sea on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Russia’s Federal Agency of Sea and River Transport, one of the ship’s passengers managed to contact emergencies services. The ship partially sank during the storm. People used a rescue raft, which was brought to the shore by tidal waves. However, when rescuers reached the site, there was no one on the raft.

An investigation is underway.

Convicted murderer Ernie Johnson enjoys his last taxpayer funded prison meal
[BBC] A Missouri man has been executed for murder despite pleas for clemency by advocates who said he had an intellectual disability.
He's not being put down because he's stupid.
Ernest Johnson received a lethal injection on Tuesday after the US Supreme Court refused to consider a stay of execution earlier in the day.

The 61-year-old's pleas for leniency had received support from Pope Francis and two members of Congress.

Johnson killed three convenience store workers in a 1994 robbery.
Y'see, we got a right to a speedy trial. Sez so right in the Constitution. It only took 27 years to dispose of Ernie.
Attorneys for Johnson argued he was ineligible for the death penalty because multiple IQ tests have shown he has the mental capacity of a child and still reads at a third-grade level.
A brutal child, but still a child.
Johnson, a black man, was born with foetal alcohol syndrome after his mother drank heavily during her pregnancy.
Y'see, it's all Mom's fault.

#3
Well he "had" the brains to:
* Acquire a firearm,
* Learn how to load and use it,
* Know it would hurt or kill people if shot,
* Make 3 trips to the store that day to plan the robbery,
* Knowledge to Acquire $$$ for illegal drugs,

* Rob the store after using drugs (cocaine), shooting, stabbing and bludgeoning Bratcher, Jones and Scruggs in the process.

* Then threaten and order persons to hide robbery evidence.

* Assist in his defense and 3+/- retrials and multiple escalating appeals.

So my figuring of 5 years to get to the SCOTUS, I think he played the system 22 years too long for any Justice to have been done.

So Sad: Healthy 15-Year Old Dies Two Days After Second Pfizer Shot
[RedState] Over the 18 months of the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic, data and studies worldwide concerning children and COVID-19 have shown the chances of contracting and spreading COVID-19 are minimal compared to the adult population. Some have warned that forcing children to take a minimally tested vaccine would have its consequences. Even the World Health Organization recommends a measured process and further study before mandating the vaccination of children:

While the WHO did conclude that the Pfizer vaccine is "suitable for use by people aged 12 years and above," and that "children aged between 12 and 15 who are at high risk may be offered this vaccine alongside other priority groups for vaccination," it also said more evidence is needed on the use of coronavirus vaccines in this population before making general recommendations.

"Vaccine trials for children are ongoing and WHO will update its recommendations when the evidence or epidemiological situation warrants a change in policy," it said.

Why the need to proceed with caution? One reason is illustrated by what happened in Sonoma County, CA when an otherwise healthy 15-year-old teenager was found dead by his mother. The teenager had received his second dose of the Pfizer vaccine two days prior.

From the Death Investigation Synopsis Report, courtesy of Reopen California Schools:

The decedent was found unresponsive in his bedroom after his mother was checking on his welfare long after he was supposed to wake in the morning. The decedent was pronounced dead at the scene due to obvious death. The decedent had been in good health with no medical history and had received his second Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccination approximately two days before his death.

#8  Report dates back about a month. Certainly suspicious.

Quip I heard, making fun of everything, "Say what you want about injecting myself with bleach, at least I know what bleach is and what it will do to me."

If indeed this death was due to the shot, it isn't the kid's fault, this would be Newsom, with his executive order, who coerced the mother into making her child receive an unnecessary medical procedure by threatening mental violence, putting him in isolation, which resulted in his death.

If The State can compel you to take a medical procedure, then is The State also responsible for examining the physical health of the patient to determine if there are underlying conditions which could lead to complications?

This young man, 15, likely never had a pulmonary exam on account of his age. Perhaps there could be a murmur, valve issue, whatever which the shot tipped the scale enough to be fatal. Maybe it is blood type? Diabetic? Birth Control, I've seen suggested?

My last point there, is that the data has been available for harvest, and the Do Everything Possible to Save Lives by Covid Protocol has been crickets, or even hostile, to the idea of discovering what, if any, connections or combination may make a person at risk for side effects.

#9  From the AP:

COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) — Scandinavian authorities on Wednesday suspended or discouraged the use of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine in young people because of an increased risk of heart inflammation, a very rare side effect associated with the shot.

Sweden suspended the use of Moderna for those recipients under 30, Denmark said those under 18 won’t be offered the Swiss-made vaccine, and Norway urged those under 30 to get the Pfizer vaccine instead.

[…] In neighboring Finland, authorities are expected to announce their decision Thursday, according to Dr. Hanna Nohynek, chief physician at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, told local broadcaster YLE.

[…] All three countries based their decision on an unpublished study with Sweden’s Public Health Agency saying that it signals “an increased risk of side effects such as inflammation of the heart muscle or the pericardium” — the double-walled sac containing the heart and the roots of the main vessels. … The preliminary information from the Nordic study has been sent to the European Medicines Agency’s adverse reaction committee to be assessed.

Emphasis mine; interesting because this article mentions kid had the Pfizer Shot.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Kurdish group claims assassination of Iranian intelligence operative
[Rudaw] Kurdish operatives affiliated with one of the main opposition groups claimed on Tuesday to have killed an intelligence officer in western Iran, less than two weeks after top Iranian military officials threatened to carry out operations against these groups inside the Kurdistan Region.

The official twitter account of the Kurdistan Democratic Party of Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites.
(KDPI) tweeted about a military operation carried out by a shadowy group known as the Zagros Eagles, believed to be affiliated with the KDPI. The operation targeted an agent of the Ministry of Intelligence (Ettela’at in Persian) who was allegedly responsible for a number of liquidations of Kurdish activists.

"In an military operation by the Zagros Eagles an agent of #Iran’s intelligence agency Ettela'at by the name of Khidir Piotipenah was killed," the KDPI tweeted. "Pirotipenah was responsible for the liquidation of several Kurdish activists and freedom fighters."

KDPI did not elaborate on the liquidation, but the human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
organization Hengaw said a staff member of the intelligence ministry in Piranshahr, West Azerbaijan province was assassinated. Hengaw said they have received information that the liquidation was "carried out by unidentified individuals" in the center of Piranshahr city on Tuesday and the individual killed was named as Khidir Piotipenah.

Iranian media affiliated with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have not immediately reported on the death.

The liquidation, if confirmed, could anger the Iranian military establishment including the IRGC which is responsible for the security situation in Kurdish areas. Last month, the IRGC carried out days of bombing of the Kurdistan Region’s border areas, claiming to target Kurdish opposition groups based in the Kurdistan Region.

Mohammad Bagheri, chief of staff for the Iranian armed forces, threatened on September 19 to expand operations if Kurdish and Iraqi authorities did not take steps to restrain the opposition groups.

"Iraq and the its northern region should not allow the mercenaries of America and the Zionist regime and armed counter-revolutionary groups to have training bases, TV and radio stations, camps, military training and then attack our border regions and assassinate our officers. This is unacceptable for us," Bagheri said. "The security forces headed by the IRGC will remove these terrorist groups and the operations that have been ongoing for the past two weeks will continue."

A number of Kurdish opposition groups including the KDPI are based in the Kurdistan Region where they operate camps, have TV and radio stations, and, based on their social media posts, regularly carry out armed training of new recruits.

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has pledged not to allow the Kurdish groups to send fighters into Iran to target Iranian security forces.

The Kurdish opposition groups deny sending fighters across the border and say their sympathizers and members already inside Iran are behind the attacks on Iranian security forces.

Iran has carried out cross-border operations into the Kurdistan Region since the mid-1990s. Two years before the IRGC targeted US forces based at Iraq’s Ain al-Asad airbase in response to the killing of its most well-known commander Qasem Soleimani, the force fired a barrage of ballistic missiles at the bases of Kurdish opposition groups in Koya, Erbil province, killing at least 16 people, including senior members of the Kurdish groups.

This appear to be a repudiation rather than an insolvency. It may have closed the market for new Chinese bond issues to international investors. It's an intriguing move. As I understand it, Evergrande is stiffing foreign creditors while paying Chinese ones. That may have dire implications for all foreign investors there, portfolio and direct.

With America Splitting, One Side Sees Treason as Highest Form of Patriotism
[THEEPOCHTIMES] Since the early 1970s, when the Baby Boomer acolytes of George McGovern took control of the Democrat Party, the Left has been telling us that "dissent is the highest form of patriotism."

That is to say, the more strongly you oppose the policies and moral values of your country, the more you love it. Like a devoted parent disciplining a wayward child, you are only showing it tough love in order to correct its ways, "fundamentally transforming" it (as Barack Obama
They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them...
might say) in order to improve it.

Eric Adams: 'Racist' Curtis Sliwa is turning NYC mayoral election into 'circus'
[NYPOST] If there was any doubt before, the gloves are now officially off in the 2021 race to be the next mayor of New York City.

Democratic nominee Eric Adams
...retired New York City police captain, member of the New York State Senate, first Black Brooklyn borough president, law and order Dem after a brief fling with the Publicans. The New York Times isn't fond of him, suspecting he may not actually be black...
on Tuesday called Republican rival Curtis Sliwa a "racist" — and accused the Guardian Angels founder of turning the general election to succeed a term-limited Comrade Bill de Blasio
...cryptocommie mayor of New York and for some reason a Dem candidate for president in 2020. Corrupt and incompetent, his qualifications for office seem to consist of being married to a black woman, with whom he honeymooned in Cuba. He has a preppy-looking son named Dante, whose Divine Comedy involved getting his back hair up when a police car drove past him slowly. New Yorkers voted for him, so they deserve him...
into a "circus."

During an interview on WNYC radio, the Brooklyn borough president offered some of his harshest words yet for his Nov. 2 opponent, saying the GOP contender "has been a leading voice of being a racist."

"I dedicated my life as a police officer for 22 years [to] fighting against the systemic racism
...the idea that the nation is racist to the core, always was, and always will be. 330 million Americans live in Selma, Alabama in 1965, and we're never, ever leaving...
that exists, and just really how we perceive everyday New Yorkers. And so, it’s difficult for Curtis to talk about systemic racism, because he has been a leading voice of being a racist," the former NYPD captain said on "The Brian Lehrer Show," when asked about his perspective on nine FDNY members who were suspended for sending racist messages.

"It’s hard for him to address something that’s systemic, and I’m not afraid to point out where systemic racism exists."

His answer came after Lehrer noted that Sliwa on the same radio show a day earlier characterized the FDNY members as a few bad apples rather than part of a pattern of bigotry.

In response to Adams’ comments, Sliwa fired back with his own allegation Tuesday, saying Adams has a habit of accusing people with whom he has a difference of opinion of being racist.

"This is always his fallback position when he has a disagreement with you: He calls people racist," Sliwa told The Post. "This is all part of the tradition of Eric Adams. If you disagree with Eric Adams, you’re a racist.

"When his back is against the wall, he’s always calling his adversaries racist."

Sliwa cited Adams in January 2020 metaphorically declaring that gentrifiers should "go back" to Iowa and Ohio, as well as the Democrat’s harsh criticism of former primary opponents Andrew Yang
...Former 2020 Democratic presidential candidate. Unlike most of the other Dem 2020 candidates, he actually did things besides politix in his adult life, which made him political poison. He worked in startups and early-stage growth companies as a founder or executive from 2000 to 2009. After he founded Venture for America, the Obama administration selected him in 2012 as a Champion of Change and in 2015 as a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship. His signature campaign policy is what he calls the Freedom Dividend, a form of Universal Basic Income for every American over 18. Yang believes UBI is a necessary response to the rapid development of automation that is leading to workforce challenges. The other two central elements of Yang's platform are Medicare for All and Human-Centered Capitalism....
and Kathryn Garcia joining forces on the crowded Democratic primary campaign trail on Juneteenth, days before voters went to the polls.

"I’m just going to join the club," Sliwa said. "When Eric Adams doesn’t like you, he calls you a racist."

Adams in his interview also accused Sliwa of making a mockery of the election.

Strangely however, the people featured all dress and speak like mid-western white people and possess supervisory or business owner positions. The dark night of fascism? I am reminded of the story Tom Wolfe told about Günter Grass. To whit:

Grass plays a small role in Tom Wolfe’s 1976 essay, “The Intelligent Coed’s Guide To America,” reprinted in his 1982 anthology The Purple Decades, available on the Kindle and an essential introduction to both Wolfe’s early nonfiction, and life in America in the crazed ’60s and ’70s, which today often reads stranger than fiction. Wolfe uses a statement from Grass as a springboard for the saying he helped enter into widespread distribution: “The dark night of fascism is always descending in the United States and yet lands only in Europe.” The two men shared the stage at a ruckus 1965 panel at Princeton University, dominated both on the panel and in the audience by paranoid lefties convinced that fellow Democrat Lyndon Johnson was the new fascistic boogieman*, including Allen Ginsberg and Merry Prankster Paul Krassner, about whom Wolfe notes:

The next thing I knew, the discussion was onto the subject of fascism in America. Everybody was talking about police repression and the anxiety and paranoia as good folks waited for the knock on the door and the descent of the knout on the nape of the neck. I couldn’t make any sense out of it. I had just made a tour of the country to write a series called “The New Life Out There” for New York magazine. This was the mid-1960’s. The post-World War II boom had by now pumped money into every level of the population on a scale unparalleled in any nation in history. Not only that, the folks were running wilder and freer than any people in history. For that matter, Krassner himself, in one of the strokes of exuberance for which he was well known, was soon to publish a slight hoax: an account of how Lyndon Johnson was so overjoyed about becoming President that he had buggered a wound in the neck of John F. Kennedy on Air Force One as Kennedy’s body was being flown back from Dallas. Krassner presented this as a suppressed chapter from William Manchester’s book Death of a President. Johnson, of course, was still President when it came out. Yet the merciless gestapo dragnet missed Krassner, who cleverly hid out onstage at Princeton on Saturday nights.

Suddenly I heard myself blurting out over my microphone: “My God, what are you talking about? We’re in the middle of a … Happiness Explosion!”

That merely sounded idiotic. The kid up in the balcony did the crying baby. The kid down below did the raccoon … Krakatoa, East of Java … I disappeared in a tidal wave of rude sounds … Back to the goon squads, search-and-seize and roust-a-daddy …

Support came from a quarter I hadn’t counted on. It was Grass, speaking in English.

“For the past hour I have my eyes fixed on the doors here,” he said. “You talk about fascism and police repression. In Germany when I was a student, they come through those doors long ago. Here they must be very slow.”

Grass was enjoying himself for the first time all evening. He was not simply saying, “You really don’t have so much to worry about.” He was indulging his sense of the absurd. He was saying: “You American intellectuals—you want so desperately to feel besieged and persecuted!”

He sounded like Jean-François Revel, a French socialist writer who talks about one of the great unexplained phenomena of modern astronomy: namely, that the dark night of fascism is always descending in the United States and yet lands only in Europe.

Azerbaijan shuts mosque linked to Iran supreme leader
[AlAhram] Azerbaijan has closed a mosque linked to Iran's supreme leader, Iran's Tasnim news agency reported Tuesday, days after Tehran launched war games near their shared border in a move denounced by Baku.

"The mosque and representative office of Seyyed Ali Akbar Ojaghnejad, representative of supreme leader (Ayatollah) Ali Khamenei
...the very aged actual dictator of Iran, successor to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini...
in Baku, were sealed and closed today by order of the authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan," Tasnim said, without giving further details.

Ojaghnejad has held the post since 1996, according to the website of his office, which is located inside the mosque.

Azerbaijan's interior ministry front man Eskhan Zahidov said in a statement that the move was necessary because of "a surge in Covid-19 cases in several locations in Baku" and that the mosque's operation had been "suspended temporarily".

Iran's embassy in Baku said in a statement on Tuesday evening that it had followed up on the matter via diplomatic channels, adding that there had been no advanced warning of the move.

Since mid-September, tensions have soared between the two neighbours, who share a 700-kilometre (430-mile) border.

On Friday, the Iranian army's ground forces began manoeuvres near the frontier, a move criticised by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

"Every country can carry out any military drill on its own territory. It's their sovereign right. But why now, and why on our border?" Aliyev had told Ottoman Turkish news agency Anadolu..

Another recent bone of contention was Baku's decision to impose customs taxes on Iranian trucks crossing its territory to Armenia.

To avoid the route, Iran's roads ministry announced on Monday that it was sending a delegation to Yerevan to discuss the completion of a road that directly links Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. to Armenia.

The statement said Azerbaijan "currently controls 20 kilometres of this 400 kilometre road that runs from Norduz (in Iran) to Yerevan".

Iran was "ready to complete the remaining part of the road as soon as possible," said the statement, which called the road "strategic" for Iranian trade.

India-Pakistan
Tensions run high after deadly farmers clash in India
[AlAhram] Demonstrators torched a police vehicle in India on Monday as tensions boiled over after festivities involving protesting farmers killed at least nine people.
Among the odd demands of this yearlong protest, fronted by a group of professional agitators calling themselves the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU, Indian Farmers' Union) — who are employed by the factors that exploit and grow fat off the small farmers, not actual farmers themselves — is that the central security forces must unconditionally release all Maoist terrorist recruiters and jihadis and their facilitators caught in the past year. Another group showing up front and center at these events is the Khalistan secessionists, the Sikh independence movement that is a wholly owned subsidiary of Pakistan’s ISI.
The incident on Sunday in Uttar Pradesh state was the deadliest in more than a year of protests by farmers in northern India against new agricultural reforms.

Farmers said that a convoy belonging to a government minister, his son and the state's deputy chief minister ran over and killed four people at a demonstration.

The minister said later that a driver lost control of his vehicle after being pelted by demonstrators.

Angry protesters set fire to several cars and at least five more people, four of them supporters of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), were killed.

On Monday, the protesters kept the bodies of the four dead farmers in glass cases for display around the protest site.
Ick.
Police banned gatherings, cut off mobile internet services, sent extra forces and detained several opposition figures on their way to the scene including Priyanka Gandhi from the Congress party.

In state capital Lucknow, dozens of police detained local Congress chief Akhilesh Yadav outside his home.

Dozens of opposition supporters staged a protest in the city and set fire to at least one police vehicle, television pictures showed.

Protests organised by opposition parties also took place in New Delhi and Bangalore.

Agriculture has long been a political minefield and employs some two-thirds of India's 1.3 billion population.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government says the reforms will infuse much-needed energy and capital in the sector.

Farmers, many of whom have camped outside New Delhi for over a year, fear the changes will leave them at the mercy of big corporations.

Let's make no mistake, they are doing dumb stuff. But the freedom to find a better path is also the freedom to make mistakes. And these guys are making some doozies! Still, that is not a bad thing, at least if you don't live in Portland. They are providing useful datapoints so the next time someone suggests eliminating the police or encouraging the homeless to poop in the streets, we can point and laugh and say "Yeah, like Portland!"

Decriminalizing gang bangers
[AMERICANTHINKER] reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
now is like Dodge City before Marshal Dillon arrived: a fatal shootout on its streets is no crime because both sides were shooting. The Windy City already is world-famous for shootouts on its streets, with an astounding 3,625 shootings so far this year, 623 of them fatal. (That corpse count would be higher save for the city’s superb medical care for gunshot victims, made possible by all the practice its trauma surgeons receive.) But how many more shooting matches will start now that the word is going out that you can escape charges in a gang shootout -- even if someone is killed -- if both sides are shooting? An escalating number of shootouts is the inescapable implication of the decision of the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office to release all five suspects arrested in a fatal shootout between rival gangs in the city’s Southside Austin neighborhood, not too far from the Obama Monument. The head of that office, Kim Foxx, was elected with considerable financial support from George Soros
...either Ernst Stavro Blofeld or Auric Goldfinger come true...
, who has helped elect many soft-on-crime prosecutors across the US. Tom Schuba writes in the Chicago Sun-Times:

Five men linked to a deadly gang-related shootout Friday in Austin were released from custody after prosecutors declined to charge each of them with a pair of felonies, including first-degree murder, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned.

The brazen mid-morning shootout, which left one shooter dead and two of the suspects maimed, stemmed from an internal dispute between two factions of the Four Corner Hustlers street gang, according to an internal police report and a law enforcement source with knowledge of the investigation.

The source said police sought to charge all five suspects with murder and aggravated battery. By Sunday morning, a Chicago police spokeswoman acknowledged the suspects had "been released without charges."

In a statement later Sunday, Cristina Villareal, a spokeswoman for the Cook County state’s attorney’s office, explained that prosecutors had "determined that the evidence was insufficient to meet our burden of proof to approve felony charges." Police officials agreed with the decision, Villareal added.

While she wouldn’t specify what other evidence prosecutors needed to file charges, the police report acknowledged that victims of the shootout weren’t cooperating with Sherlocks.

But the report also framed the state’s attorney’s office’s decision to decline charges in a different light: "Mutual combatants was cited as the reason for the rejection." Mutual combat is a legal term used to define a fight or struggle that two parties willingly engage in.

Yellen BACKS the IRS reporting $600 transactions because it will 'fill the tax $7T gap'
  • [Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen defended on Tuesday the new requirement that all purchases above $600 be reported to the IRS

  • Said it will help fill the $7 trillion tax gap 'from places where the information on income is opaque and can be hidden'

  • Also said Biden's controversial pick to lead the agency responsible for regulating America's banks deserves a 'fair hearing'

  • 'Professor [Saule] Omarova is the President's nominee... And I think she deserves a fair hearing by the Senate. I hope she will get that'

  • Omarova is a Cornell Law School professor who graduated from college in Moscow, where she attended on a scholarship named after Vladimir Lenin

  • She wrote a paper advocating for the Federal Reserve to take over Americans' personal banking in order to have more policy clout against big banks

  • Republicans and bank lobbyists already oppose her nomination to lead OCC

#1  Back during the GWBush era, the Federal Govt was working on proving emergency aid to people who had lost their income because of Hurricane Katrina.

Many people provided rudimentary financial records of their income but when the FEMA folks went to verify income in the IRS records they found that a fair number of businesses, typically sole propriatorships, did not file a tax return. They were paid in cash or by check.

#4  Ref #2: Banks will loose big time. People will no longer use banks, cash will be king.

Banks have essentially become virtual reporting agents of the IRS. They are no longer private entities. A growing number of people have been avoiding banks and traceable check transactions. Bartering, or conducting business via cash has been going on for years. These 'non-taxable' transactions are the actual target of the government.

The reporting of $600. withdrawals is a method of identifying potential larger purchases or services being conducted by cash.

The goal is of course to capture or make visible, bartering, cash payments, and non-reported income. None of these reporting schemes effect the very wealthy who employ tax attorney's, foundations, and overseas banking and investment vehicles to avoid taxes.

The rule of the, different rules.

#6  Clearly they are attacking the poor. The poor are also uneducated and don't understand what is happening. They will get it if they actually have to pay taxes on unreported income. As far as cash is concerned, there is only so much in circulation. As I understand it only about a trillion. They want to go to a gov't controlled crypto as well. I mean, eventually the $ will be worth less than the paper it's printed on. Billionaires and millionaires will pay taxes if they want to. Generally, taxes are avoidable, legally, for the most part. Sometimes they clip you. The bastards!

#7  Helmuth makes a good point.

The bank reporting of deposits is going to catch a lot of the working poor. These are people who do gig work and are paid in cash or by check. Dishwashers, landscape workers, etc.

What people haven't really addressed yet is that a lot of the working poor don't have federal tax liability ($24k for a couple). So they would be guilty of non reporting but not to owe taxes. This is really awful for anyone who thinks through the issue.

Afghanistan
U.S. Resumes Afghan Refugee Flights after Measles Shots
[AnNahar] Afghan refugees will soon be arriving again in the U.S. after a massive campaign to vaccinate them against measles following a small outbreak that caused a three-week pause in evacuations, officials said Monday.

Authorities have administered the vaccination to about 49,000 evacuees staying temporarily on American military bases as well as to those still at transit points in Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and the Middle East, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

The measles outbreak, detected in 24 people, had put on hold one of the largest refugee resettlement efforts in U.S. history, dubbed Operation Allies Welcome. It also stranded about 15,000 at overseas transit points.

"The success of this vaccination campaign demonstrates our commitment to the health and well-being of arriving Afghan evacuees, the personnel assisting this mission, and the American people," Dr. Pritesh Gandhi, the DHS chief medical officer, said in announcing the completion of the effort.

Everyone coming from Afghanistan is also tested for COVID-19.
Good.
About 84 percent of the refugees in the U.S. and at overseas transit points have now received vaccinations against the coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague)
...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men...
, officials said.
First shot (or two shots, if recommended)? How about the recommended booster (third shot) for the elderly and those in high risk categories?
The U.S. evacuated about 120,000 people in the chaotic days following the fall of Kabul to the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
in August. They were a mix of U.S. citizens, Afghans with legal permanent residency or who were applying for visas and refugee status along with their families.
...although reportedly the vast majority were young men of fighting age who were none of those things.
Testifying before Congress last week, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said the U.S. has admitted about 60,000 people from the airlift out of Afghanistan, about 7% of whom are American citizens and about 6% of whom are permanent residents. About 3% have, along with their families, received the special immigrant visa for people who worked for the U.S. government or its allies during the war as interpreters or in some other capacity.

The rest are a combination of people who are in the process of finalizing their special immigrant visas or are considered likely candidates for refugee status because they are human rights
...which are usually entirely different from personal liberty...
activists, journalists or others who are considered particularly vulnerable under Taliban rule or for some other reasons. All undergo security vetting before they arrive in the U.S.

DHS says a majority of the Afghans being resettled in the U.S. worked for the country in some form or are related to someone who did. The agency projects at least 40% are eligible for the special immigrant visa.

There are about 53,000 Afghans currently staying at eight U.S. military bases and receiving medical care and other assistance before they settle around the U.S.

Gen. Glen VanHerck, head of U.S. Northern Command, told news hounds Thursday that about 4,000 Afghans at the U.S. bases have completed medical screening and the 21-day quarantine required after receiving the vaccine for measles, mumps, rubella, and chickenpox that most Americans receive in childhood, and should be setting in their new homes in the coming days.

#1  Measles is ridiculously contagious.
(for you disease weenies, R0 is ~12, compared to ~1.5 for Ebola)

Prediction: Measleous Afghans will be inserted into liberal, caring communities with a sub-population of liberal, caring parents who do not vaccinate their children against the usual childhood diseases. Come on, man! No one gets those diseases anymore, right?

TL;DR: Boulder, Colorado will be the epicenter of our next measles epidemic.

Blackburn confronts Deputy AG Monaco about crackdown on alleged harassment of school officials
[FOXNEWS] Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., on Tuesday confronted U.S. Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco over the Justice Department’s new crackdown on the alleged harassment of school officials, saying it will unfairly target parents who oppose the progressive agenda.

Blackburn caught up with Monaco as she was leaving a hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee and asked about the DOJ’s memo. The memo directed the FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
and U.S. attorney offices to hold meetings with federal, state and local law enforcement leaders within 30 days to discuss ways to combat what the DOJ described as an "increase in harassment, intimidation and threats of violence against school board members, teachers and workers in our nation’s public schools."
Ask Sen Sinema's opinion on that.
C-SPAN cameras captured the confrontation between Blackburn and Monaco.

The senator said the "implication" of the memo was that parents who do not adhere to the progressive agenda are to be considered by the state as "violent mostly peaceful."

Monaco attempted to protest, but Blackburn continued, "It’s not always what you say, it’s what people perceive that you are saying. So, I think this is an incredibly dangerous precedent.

"And this coupled with the lack of respect for these young women that came for the Larry Nassar hearing is something that’s not very good for the DOJ right now," Blackburn added, referring to the FBI's mishandling of the sexual abuse of Olympic gymnasts.

"The message that you are sending to parents, to individuals, is, ’You take everything that we say or we’re not going to be there to protect you.’ And I think that’s a very dangerous place to be," the senator continued. "This memo last night looks as if you are second-guessing every parent who is asking the question about what is being taught."

Remote Arizona crossing is the newest hot spot for Haitian migrants
[HotAir] A little-known area outside of Yuma, Arizona is becoming a popular crossing spot for illegal Haitian migrants colonists. The remote area is referred to as The Gap because it is a break in the border fence close to the Morelos Dam. The break allows migrants colonists an easy crossing of the Colorado River from Los Algodones in Mexico. The Yuma sector is reporting that the crossings are relentless and happening twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

The number of illegal aliens is exploding and the Border Patrol facilities are overwhelmed. While we’ve been focused on areas like Del Rio, Texas, for obvious reasons, other hot spots are popping up. So far, there has been a 2,399.6% spike in arrivals compared to this time last year, with up to 900 people crossing each day. They are not just Haitians but also from Colombia and Honduras. Word has been spread that The Gap is the place to go for easy entry.

In August, the most recent month for which figures are available, 17,000 crossed into Yuma compared to just 694 for the same time in 2020.

As a result, Border Patrol facilities are overwhelmed: even the tented overflow camp built in April and designed to hold 500 people is stuffed with 1,300 inmates.

Vincent Dulesky of Border Patrol Yuma Station said many of the arrivals come from Honduras, Guatemala and El Salvador but added they are seeing increasing numbers of Haitians — who made up the majority of new arrivals when DailyMail.com visited.

Known to Haitians as ’le Trou’, the migrants colonists told DailyMail.com that word has spread that The Gap is an easy place to cross.

’We had heard of The Gap and people said this is the place to come,’ Wendell Fify, 17, said before he was bundled into a Border Patrol van.

He added: ’It’s a gap in the fence so we came here. I came to the US because my family are here — my mom and dad. I was in Brazil before. I want to have a life here and work.’

That teenager traveled with a family of Haitians. They had been living in Chile but heard about The Gap and decided to come. They came up through Mexico. Many of the Haitians illegally seeking admittance to the U.S. are coming from South America and Central America, not directly from Haiti. Panama’s foreign minister sounded the alarm recently in Washington, D.C. to the Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft
...the pack of self-imagined masterminds of strategy and intrigue at the service of the Biden Crime Family and a grateful nation...
but he said his warning fell on deaf ears. Shocker, I know.

This comes as Panama’s foreign minister warned that another wave of some 60,000 migrants colonists, mostly Haitian nationals, is now headed toward the southern US border.

Foreign Minister Erika Mouynes expressed exasperation during a visit to Washington DC this week, saying that Panama has been warning the Biden administration for months about the recent surge in irregular migration.

’We sounded the alarm when we should have,’ Mouynes told Axios. ’We’ve engaged with every single authority that we can think of, that we can come across, to say, ’Please, let’s pay attention to this."

Some of the illegal aliens are crossing further east in the Cabreza Pieta National Wildlife Refuge. One news hound witnessed a group of 10 — 20 people coming across every half hour.

Biden tells GOP to 'get out of the way' on debt limit
[MSN] President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass. Don't say he didn't warn us...
on Monday urged Republican senators to "get out of the way" and let Democrats suspend the nation’s debt limit, hoping to keep the U.S. government from bumping dangerously close to a credit default as Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell refuses to lend his party’s help.

Biden’s criticism came with Congress facing an Oct 18 deadline to allow for more borrowing to keep the government operating after having accrued a total public debt of $28.4 trillion. The House has passed a measure to suspend the debt limit, but McConnell is forcing Senate Democrats into a cumbersome process that could drag on and approach the deadline with little margin for error.

Turkey seeks to merge al-Nusra and National Army in Syria's Idlib
[NPASYRIA] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
intends to deploy in the southern countryside of Idlib, where Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else
...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State...
(HTS, formerly al-Nusra
...formally Jabhat an-Nusrah li-Ahli al-Sham (Support Front for the People of the Levant), also known as al-Qaeda in the Levant. They aim to establish a pan-Arab caliphate. Not the same one as the Islamic State, though .. ...
Front) is present. Ottoman Turkish-backed informed sources in Idlib said.

The planned deployment will be in the southern countryside of Idlib along the M4 Highway, where the HTS controls the contact lines with the government forces, according to the sources.

However,
man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them...
the HTS has not yet commented on the matter.
Al Qaeda affiliate to take the Turkish shilling? Why on earth would they do that?
Turkey’s new attempts over the de-escalation zone and M4 Highway at this time in particular, are nothing but a maneuver by Erdogan’s regime aimed at suggesting that it is one of the outcomes of the Sochi summit, which satisfies Russia, according to the sources.

In late September, the Russian and Ottoman Turkish presidents concluded talks on limiting the resurgence of violence in northwest Syria and the possibility of expanding the sales of Russian air defense systems to Ankara despite US warnings.

Previous statements by leaders of the opposition Syrian National Army (SNA) stated that they will soon deploy in Idlib, after months of talk about the possibility of a merger between the SNA and the HTS.
Perhaps if they mean to donate SNA men and materiel to HTS, but otherwise I don’t see what Al Nusra would get out of the deal.
On September 9, five factions of the Ottoman Turkish-backed opposition SNA in northwest Syria announced their merging into a new formation called the Syrian Front for Liberation.

The new formation, which was announced through an official statement, includes the factions of the Sultan Suleiman Shah Division, al-Hamza Division, al-Mu’tasem Division, Suqour al-Sham Division, and the 20th Division.
It’s Toad The Wet Sprocket time again.
The sources believes that it is impossible for Russia to accept such solutions that circumvent the terms of bilateral agreements.

Russia calls for the neutralization of the radical and terrorist groups in Idlib, including the HTS. It also calls for the M4 Highway to be under the control of the Syrian government.

Threat and extortion by Turkish-backed factions in Afrin, northwest Syria, pushed the young man to commit suicide
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

One of Bilal’s relatives said in a phone call with North Press that before committing the suicide, Bilal mentioned a name of a person called Abu Ja’far Mayer.

This person, and another one called Hassan Shobak, who are affiliated with Ottoman Turkish-backed al-Jabha al-Shamiya (Levant Front) faction, have been recently threatening him with arrest, he added.

They threaten and extort Bilal under the pretext that a brother of him had previously worked with the Autonomous Administration in Afrin.

The same source said that the blackmailer constantly visited the restaurant where Bilal worked, "and he used to demand money and take meals with high bills without paying."

It is worth mentioning that Bilal’s brother has been previously arrested five times by the same murderous Moslems before the family pay a ransom in turn for releasing him and smuggling him outside Afrin, according to the source.

Four government soldiers wound in Turkish bombardment in Syria's Raqqa
[NPASYRIA] Four soldiers of the Syrian government forces were maimed in a Ottoman Turkish bombardment on the M4 Highway, near the village of al-Kantari, north of Raqqa, northern Syria, an informed military source told North Press on Tuesday.

The source added that the Ottoman Turkish mortar shelling targeted a gathering of the government forces near the village of al-Kantari.

Eyewitnesses said that Russian military helicopters have been flying since the morning hours along the contact lines with the Ottoman Turkish forces.

On October 2, the Ottoman Turkish forces shelled the village of Tel Keifji in Tel Tamr countryside, north of Hasakah, causing material damage to the residents’ houses.

Sick Twitter trolls mock Fla. Gov. DeSantis' wife, Casey, over breast cancer diagnosis
[NYPOST] The news that Casey DeSantis, the wife of Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis
...Republican governor of Florida, stone in the shoe of the Dems and their ilk, maybe one-day president...
, had been diagnosed with breast cancer was met with an outpouring of sympathy from Democrats and Republicans alike — but was also greeted with sick jubilation and mockery from the darker corners of social media.

Democratic Florida Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, who is running to unseat DeSantis in next year’s gubernatorial election, tweeted: "Our hearts are with Florida’s First Lady Casey DeSantis and her family. We are all praying for you!"

After repeating the message in Spanish, Fried fired off a preemptive warning to would-be trolls.

"If you choose to reply to this tweet, please show some empathy," she said. "Casey is a mother of three and deserves our support in this difficult fight."

Her warning appeared to come in response to several politically motivated nasty tweets about the Florida first lady’s battle.

"I feel sorry for Casey DeSantis, not only to get such a horrible diagnosis but also face the prospect of Ron DeSantis choosing between (a) helping protect his wife’s immune system by wearing a mask; and (b) pandering to anti-maskers for his voracious political ambitions," tweeted Canadian comedian Deven Green, who often performs as the character Mrs. Betty Bowers, "America’s Best Christian."

"I wish Casey DeSantis well," wrote another Twitter user claiming to be a "Front line ICU MP." "I hope she is smart enough not to allow her husband treat her breast cancer with Ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine."

Sen. Sinema harassed again during and after flight to DC
[NYPOST] Sen. Kyrsten Sinema was confronted by another group of activists on Monday during her trip back to Washington, DC, one day after she was accosted while teaching a class at Arizona State University.

During and after her flight to Reagan National Airport, the Arizona Democrat was filmed by protesters who pressed her on her resistance to voting for the $3.5 trillion budget reconciliation bill.

Video footage uploaded to Twitter showed Sinema walking through the airport and talking on her cellphone as several protesters gathered around her, filming on their phones. One protester could be seen holding a sign that read, "Don’t sink our bill."

As a TSA agent walked behind the senator, another protester could be heard asking, "Hi, Senator Sinema, I want to ask if you can explain to the American people what you’re planning on cutting from Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. I'm not working for you. Don't be such a horse's ass. Don't say he didn't warn us...

CDC recommends ''virtual Thanksgiving'' this year
I recommend virtual obedience.
[HOTAIR] After the patron saint of restricting Americans’ freedoms suggested we might need to cancel Christmas, I suppose this shouldn’t come as all that much of a surprise. The CDC is announcing today that they are recommending that Americans celebrate Thanksgiving virtually again this year. You probably don’t need me to tell you that this is one turkey of an idea that Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Sleazy Dem machine politician, paterfamilias of the Biden Crime Family, the guy who bungled Afghanistan...
isn’t going to be able to make fly. But the new guidelines have all sorts of unpleasant nuggets built into them for any of you dangerous people who still insist on carving up the turkey with your family. Oh, and you have to scroll down to the bottom of the announcement to find it, but they’re saying the same thing for Halloween as well.

Government Corruption
Parents respond to DOJ, school boards' statements: 'I am what a domestic terrorist looks like?'
[FOXNEWS] The Justice Department (DOJ) is facing a wave of backlash as parents criticize its recent decision to investigate potential acts of violence against school boards across the country.

It came after the National School Boards Association (NSBA) asked the Biden administration, the same old faces in slightly different places, the same old ideas, the same old graft
...the collection of boodlers, grifters, hangers-on, and self-proclaimed experts affiliated with the Biden Crime Family. Entrusted with an entire nation as the result of a suspicious election, they set about happily implementing stuff they absorbed in college, all of which blew up and splattered the rest of us...
for assistance, suggesting that the threats and acts of violence were similar to domestic terrorism.

"I am what a domestic terrorist looks like?" asked Asra Nomani, vice president of investigations and strategy at Parents Defending Education. "You owe parents an apology!" Nomani's group has been conducting deep research into how school boards across the country are implementing so-called "woke" ideas in their curricula.

Nomani's group has launched a forum on their website that purportedly sends emails to DOJ. The draft email reads: "I urge you to reconsider mobilizing the U.S. Department of Justice against concerned parents who are exercising their First Amendment rights at school board meetings across the country."

"Our country’s children deserve a high-quality education. Please do not criminalize the American citizens that advocate on their behalf."

On Tuesday, Nomani changed her Twitter display name to "Asra Q. Nomani ’Domestic Terrorist’" in an apparent attempt to mock the suspicion of parents like herself. In another tweet, she said Attorney General Merrick Garland had issued a "declaration of war" against parents.

Biden admin mobilizes FBI against parents opposing CRT and COVID restrictions
[THEPOSTMILLENNIAL] After the National School Board Association called on the Biden administration (aka the Wilmington comorra)
...the pack of self-imagined masterminds of strategy and intrigue at the service of the Biden Crime Family and a grateful nation...
to take action against unruly parents who keep showing up at school board meetings, the Department of Justice under Attorney General Merrick Garland
Let us pause a moment to grateful that man is merely attorney general rather than a Supreme Court justice, in office for life, dear Reader. Senator Mitch McConnell has his faults, to be sure, but he got that right.
has taken up the cause against parents. The NSBA encouraged the Biden administration to classify the actions of concerned parents as "the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes."

The letter from the NSBA was sent to President Joe Biden
...... 46th president of the U.S. A latter-day version of Romulus Augustulus, only more friendly to the barbarians at the gates......
last week. "America's public schools and its education leaders are under immediate threat," the letter read, saying that the NSBA "respectfully asks for federal law enforcement and other assistance to deal with the growing number of threats and violence and acts of intimidation occurring across the nation."

The letter from the NSBA cites incidents of impassioned parents who have become aggressive at school board meetings, writing that "As these acts of malice, violence, and threats against public school officials have increased, the classification of these heinous actions could be the equivalent to a form of domestic terrorism and hate crimes."

"As such," it continues, "NSBA requests a joint expedited review by the U.S. Departments of Justice, Education, and Homeland Security, along with the appropriate training, coordination, investigations, and enforcement mechanisms from the FBI
...Formerly one of the world's premier criminal investigation organizations, something for a nation to be proud of. Now it's a political arm of the Deep State oligarchy that is willing to trump up charges, suppress evidence, or take out insurance policies come election time...
, including any technical assistance necessary from, and state and local coordination with, its National Security Branch and Counterterrorism Division, as well as any other federal agency with relevant jurisdictional authority and oversight."

Garland's DOJ, which has stated that a primary concern is domestic extremism, wrote that the FBI and US Attorney's Offices will meet during the next month with law enforcement leaders across the country "to discuss strategies for addressing this disturbing trend."

#1  This is not necessarily regarding "threats" to school boards. A top Biden regime official said only a few days ago that parents should have no say regarding their children's education. #9  If unruly parents at a school board meeting do anything unlawful, isn't that a matter for local law enforcement? And if such events have occurred, have any school board members called on local law enforcement to enforce the law? Have any charges actually been made? Facebook outage caused by a single mistake; has huge implications
[9to5mac] Yesterday’s Facebook outage – which took down Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp as well as the main service – resulted from a mistake by the company’s own network engineers.

The mistake led to all of Facebook’s services being inaccessible, with one analogy likening it to a failure in the “air traffic control” services for network traffic …

We reported yesterday on the massive failure.

It’s not just you: Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp are all currently down for users around the world. We’re seeing error messages on all three services across iOS applications as well as on the web. Users are being greeted with error messages such as: “Sorry, something went wrong,” “5xx Server Error,” and more.

The outage is affecting every Facebook-owned platform, according to data on Downdetector and Twitter. This includes Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, and Facebook Messenger […] While some Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp outages only affect certain geographic regions, the services are down worldwide today.

It gradually appeared that the problem might relate to DNS – the domain name servers that tell devices which IP addresses to use to access services – but it was unclear what exactly had happened, and whether this was an external hack, malicious action by an insider, or a catastrophic mistake.

Facebook has now admitted in a blog post that it was a mistake.

Our engineering teams have learned that configuration changes on the backbone routers that coordinate network traffic between our data centers caused issues that interrupted this communication. This disruption to network traffic had a cascading effect on the way our data centers communicate, bringing our services to a halt.

It took a long time to resolve the problem because the inaccessible systems included the servers and tools engineers would normally use to solve the problem remotely. Reports suggest that lower-level employees had to gain physical access to the data centers, and then rely on step-by-step instructions from more senior engineers in order to undo the mistake. Complicating this, the networks being unavailable meant that Facebook’s door access systems were also offline, physically preventing access.
Read the rest at the link
The Times of Israel adds:
After an almost unprecedented six-hour global outage, Facebook restored its services and those of WhatsApp and Instagram on Monday and blamed the fiasco on configuration changes it made to the routers that coordinate network traffic between its data centers.

“This disruption to network traffic had a cascading effect on the way our data centers communicate, bringing our services to a halt,” Facebook vice president of infrastructure Santosh Janardhan said in a post.

Islamic Emirate Introduces New Members of Caretaker Cabinet
[ToloNews] The Islamic Emirate late Monday announced 38 new members of the caretaker government, in military and civil positions.

The new recruitments include a political deputy for the prime minister, acting minister for the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled, deputy ministers, and commanders of corps.

In the meantime, the Islamic Emirate’s officials at the cultural commission said they believe that hiring experienced military people will be the first step to forming a powerful army in Afghanistan.

"We are forming a powerful army. Introducing corps’ leadership is the first step forward," said Rohullah Omar, a member of the cultural commission.

In the new list, the names of Afghanistan’s military corps have changed. Now "Mazar corps" is mentioned instead of Afghanistan’s 209 Shaheen Corps.

"We hope the new army can defend Afghanistan’s territorial integrity and respond to any possible movements by enemies and forces opposed to the current government," said Mohammad Sadeq Shinwari, a former military figure.

Names of some key members of the caretaker cabinet:

Mawlawi Abdul Kabir, Political Deputy for Prime Minister

Mullah Abdul Majid, acting Minister for the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled Affairs

Mawlawi Muti-ul Haq, the head of Afghan Red Islamic Thingy Society

Mawlawi Nooruddin Turabi Deputy Head of the Red Islamic Thingy Society

The population is half Pashtun, the remainder Tadjik and Pashai. It had a repution for great wealth until it was conquered in the tenth century by Abu Mansur Sabuktigin.
He conquered it and set fire to the places in its vicinity which were inhabited by infidels, and demolishing the idol-temples, he established Islam in them, He marched and captured other cities and killed the polluted wretches, destroying the idolatrous and gratifying the Musulmans. After wounding and killing beyond all measure, his hands and those of his friends became cold in counting the value of the plundered property.
After that it was mostly notable for the production of dirt, rocks, and holy men...

[EpochTimes] China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) is facing growing opposition from participating countries as their debts associated with Chinese projects mount, according to a recent study.

The study analyzed 13,427 projects backed by China in more than 165 countries over 18 years. The projects’ total value amounts to $843 billion.

In its statement, the TRF said that it would continue with attacks on RSS workers and non-local informers. We will continue with the attacks and strike fear in the hearts of these people the statement also read.

Investigations by the police are underway and a search has been launched for the terrorists.

The TRF is an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba which was formed last year. The TRF has largely local snuffies and since the day of its formation, it has targeted Hindus and people which it thinks are informers of the police. An official tells OneIndia that the intention is to drive fear into the minds of the people. The TRF has specifically targeted Hindus and those in support of peace in Jammu and Kashmir, the officer also said.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Unknown gunmen attacked Iranian-backed faction in Syria's desert, killing and wounding several soldiers
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

On Tuesday, five murderous Moslems of Iranian-backed factions were killed and ten others were maimed as a result of an attack by unidentified armed individuals near Palmyra in Syria’s desert.

"Five Syrian murderous Moslems of the Brigade of Abu al-Fadhal al-Abbas
... in Arabic Liwa Abu al-Fadl al-Abbas, also known as the al-Abbas Brigade and it was formed in 2012 to defend Shia shrines around Syria from Sunni rebel depredations. It’s fighters are primarily Syrian and Iraqi Shiites, but obviously other Shiites have joined in the fun as well...
died and ten others were maimed as a result of targeting their vehicle by armed individuals, expected to ISIS, with a thermal missile," a military source of the Iranian-backed Hashimiyoun faction in Palmyra said.

The armed attackers were riding cycle of violences and raising white banners bearing religious slogans used by ISIS, the source added.

"The maimed and dead murderous Moslems were all Syrians except for a maimed leader, who was an Afghan," the source noted.
Arab Lions of Islam submitted to Afghan leadership imposed by Iran? He must have been extraordinary as well as connected.
After the attack, the Iranian-backed factions brought in support to comb the area, while the attackers fled towards the depth of the desert.

Most of the murderous Moslems of the Iranian-backed factions, which are running large parts in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, Palmyra, and Homs, hail from the near villages, and there are foreigners bearing Asian nationalities.

On August 21, five Syrian members of the government forces were killed and eight were arrested, including an Afghan member,

in an ambush prepared by ISIS in the vicinity of al-Duwair town, east of Deir ez-Zor.
Wait — ISIS arrests people? Possibly that is a translation error...

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Resident of Dagestan accused of involvement in extremists
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Said Nursi is a Turkish Isamic theologian

[KakazUzel] For 12 years, a resident of Izberbash attended meetings of the banned religious association "Nurdzhular." Now he will stand trial, the investigation said.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote , after the death of the Turkish educator, thinker, philosopher and politician Said Nursi (1878-1960), his followers formed the Nurcular movement, which the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation declared extremist on April 10, 2008, its activities on the territory of Russia are prohibited. Nursi's books were included in the  all-Russian list of  printed and other materials recognized by the court as extremist.

In Dagestan, the investigation of a criminal case on participation in the activities of an extremist organization against a 37-year-old resident of Izberbash has been completed. According to the investigation, in 2008 he joined the international religious association "Nurcular"
...which has millions of followers around the globe, especially in Turkey, has been banned in Russia since 2008. They want a Turkic caliphate comprising those regions of the Middle East, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Russia's North Caucasus and Volga regions...
and until March 2020 took part in its activities, in particular, attended meetings "to study ideological sources," the ICR department for Dagestan reported today.

The criminal case with the approved indictment was sent to the court, the investigation informed.

Part 2 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in the activities of an extremist organization) provides for up to six years in prison.

The "Caucasian Knot" has not yet received any comments from the accused or his official representatives regarding the version of the investigation.

The "Caucasian Knot" also wrote that on August 28, 2018, the European Court of Human Rights ruled in the case "Ibragimov and Others v. Russia," where the publisher challenged the decisions of the Russian courts, which recognized 14 books from the collected works of the Turkish theologian Said Nursi as extremist.

The ECtHR concluded that, when considering cases on recognizing Nursi's books as extremist, the Russian courts did not provide sufficient grounds to interfere with the applicants' right to freedom of expression. The decision of the ECHR will become the basis for challenging the sentences to the followers of the Turkish theologian, said the former imam of the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of the Asian part of Russia, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor Ilkhom Merazhov.

Victor Davis Hanson: Why I Left National Review

[RealClearPolitics] Victor Davis Hanson, author of "The Dying Citizen," speaks with FNC's Tucker Carlson about why he no longer writes for the National Review.

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON: I didn't know much about Donald Trump, I wasn't a supporter of his in the primaries, but I knew he was going to win. I just knew it, because he was saying things I could not believe. And, you know, we're going to redo Youngstown, Ohio.

And then he came to California, I talked to a bunch of farmers and asked if he had come here, and did he have the straw in the mouth and the Caterpillar cap.

No, he had this black suit, it was 105 degrees, he had a Queens accent. So I said, in other words, he wasn't Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden, "put you all in chains." He didn't change his act. I said he is authentic and he's representing the middle class, so I thought he had a very good chance.

As far as your other question, yeah, I lost all those friends.

TUCKER CARLSON: Really?

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON: I left the National Review this year after 20 years and I think they were happy to see me leave too.

TUCKER CARLSON: Why did you leave National Review?

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON: Because there were certain issues that would pop up occasionally, and I could predict what the answer was going to be. The Covington kids. I just sensed that before we knew anything, people would come and condemn them. Or the Access Hollywood tape--

TUCKER CARLSON: People at National Review condemned the Covington kids?

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON: I think there were certain people in the Republican movement, or establishment, who felt it is their duty to internally police their own, and that's kind of a virtue signal to the left.

We are just part of your class, we share the same values as you do, and we keep our crazies. And they are not empirical.

You saw it on January 6. We all condemn that baffoonish riot. But within two weeks, I said to myself Ashli Babbitt was shot unarmed and we don't know anything about the policeman, we don't know anything about the report. When a policeman shoots somebody unarmed, there are pictures everywhere.

TUCKER CARLSON: No warning, by the way.

VICTOR DAVIS HANSON: They're having Officer Sicknik lie in state, but I want to know where is the evidence is that he was killed? He wasn't killed, he died of a stroke --

India-Pakistan
Girl, 17, attacked with acid in south Kashmir's Shopian
[GREATERKASHMIR] A 17-year-old-girl suffered burn injuries in her shoulder after she was attacked by a man with acid in Kral Check area of south Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
's Shopian district on Tuesday, police said.
A police official told Greater Kashmir that the accused Waseem Ahmad Shah surfaced in the village of the victim at around 2 PM this afternoon and splashed the acid on her. The victim suffered burn injuries in her shoulder in the attack, the official said.

While Shah fled the spot immediately after the attack as per the official, the girl was shifted to hospital for the treatment.

-Land of the Free
Lt. Col. Scheller Freed, but Charges Loom
Right or wrong about his political opinions, the colonel is right about this. Thank goodness publicity worked this time.
[EpochTimes] Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller has been sprung from pretrial detention, but could still face charges for criticizing senior military officials over the U.S. evacuation from Afghanistan, The Epoch Times has learned.

Scheller was scheduled for a pretrial confinement initial review hearing Tuesday. Military officials planned to conduct the hearing in secret, sparking anger from some media outlets and members of the public.

But prior to the hearing, the Marine Corps agreed to free Scheller, cancelling the pretrial review as a result, according to a source familiar with the matter.

Meanwhile,
...back at the bunker, his Excellency called the chief of staff and complained that the artillery was keeping him awake...
Scheller has submitted a request for resignation of his commission in lieu of trial to the Secretary of the Navy, the source said, speaking under the condition of anonymity to avoid backlash from the military.

Scheller could still face trial by court martial, the source said.

Scheller captured headlines in late August for criticizing senior military leadership on the handling of the U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan. His initial video was posted on the same day that 13 U.S. troops and more than 100 Afghans were killed in an attack outside of the international airport in Kabul, Afghanistan.

He published another video on Sept. 16, saying that he was calling for "accountability of my big shots" over "obvious mistakes that were made." In that video, Scheller also said he was "submitting charges" against Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander Gen. Kenneth "Frank" McKenzie for his role in the disastrous withdrawal.

Scheller was reportedly thrown in the brig on Sept. 27, sparking outrage from some politicians and members of the public.

Afghanistan
Passport Department Resumes Services to Afghans
[ToloNews] The Passport Department of the Ministry of Interior Affairs on Tuesday announced the resumption of its services to Afghans, saying that at least 25,000 passports are ready to be issued in the first place.

The acting head of the department, Alim Gul Haqqani, who appeared at a presser in his office, said their services have also resumed in provinces.

The halt in the passport department's services happened on August 15 after the fall of the previous government.

Saeed Khosti, head of media department of the interior ministry, at a news conference said that for the time being, the new passports will be issued with their previous title: the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Afghanistan.

Khosti added that all female employees of the passport department have been asked to return to their jobs.

TOLOnews news hound Abdulhaq Omeri reporting from the passport department said some female employees of the department have returned to their jobs.

According to the department’s officials, in the last nearly two months, at least 170,000 people have filled applications for getting passports.

The officials also said they have enough passport booklets and that there will be no need for printing new passports for the next eight months.
Officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan resumed the issuance of passports on Tuesday, October 5, and promised that the previous government was issuing three thousand passports but they intend to issue six thousand passports per day.
Anything the non-Taliban can do, the Talibs can do better, by gum!
The department of passport opens nearly two months after the Taliban took over the country.

Head of the department Alamgul Haqqani said that they currently have one million notebooks of passport-on which they print passports- and added that there are 25 thousand passports ready to be issued.

Unlike other government bodies-except for education and health sectors- the Taliban asked the female employees of the department to come to their jobs and promised to pay the salaries for the past three months.

The Taliban does not intend to print their own passport having their logo and said that they will continue with the passports and NIDs of the previous government, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan had promised to resume the issuance of NIDs as well but they did not comment on the issue in Tuesday’s press conference.

As per the policy of the previous government, those who apply for passports should have electronic NID thus, there is desperate need for the issuance of NIDs first so that the applicants get eligible to apply for passports.

Afghanistan
Over 100 musicians flee Afghanistan, fearing Taliban crackdown
[AlAhram] More than 100 music students and teachers have fled Afghanistan in a nail-biting flight from Kabul following the Taliban
...Arabic for students...
's takeover of the country, their institute's founder and principal told AFP.

Fearing a crackdown on music by the country's new leaders, a total 101 members of Afghanistan's top musical institute landed in Doha on Sunday evening, Ahmad Sarmast said.

The group, about half of them women and girls, plan to fly to Portugal with the support of the government there, said Sarmast, founder of the Afghanistan National Institute of Music, who now lives in Melbourne.

But the success of the operation was in doubt until the last moment, he said.

With help from the Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
i embassy in Kabul, the musicians had been ferried in small groups to the city's airport, Sarmast said.

In a first hurdle, Talibs manning Kabul airport questioned their visas. But Qatari embassy officials managed to resolve the problem.

Then the girls and women were told that they could not leave the country with their temporary "service passports", which are usually issued to officials.

TIME OF MANY TEARS
"My understanding is that it was not so much of the type of the passports but that the girls were fleeing the country," Sarmast said.

Once again, Qatari officials managed to negotiate their passage.

When the flight finally took off hours later with the musicians, including many from the all-female Zohra orchestra, Sarmast said he was overcome with emotion.

"It was a time of many tears. I was crying endlessly. My family were crying together with me. That was the happiest moment in my entire life," he said.

The flight was the result of long planning since the Taliban takeover, Sarmast said.

"From the moment the Taliban took power in Kabul the discrimination against music and musicians began. The people of Afghanistan were silenced once again," he said.

The Taliban, who banned music outright during their brutal and oppressive rule from 1996 to 2001, swept back into power on August 15.

They have promised a more moderate brand of rule this time -- though they have made clear that they will run Afghanistan within the restrictive limits of their interpretation of sharia law.

The movement's position on music is inconsistent and no clear order has yet been issued.

At a Taliban rally outside Kabul this weekend, for example, religious music was played ahead of speeches by ministers and senior Taliban figures.

TOLD TO STAY AT HOME
According to Sarmast, the Taliban have told the musical institute's members to stay at home until further notice. Nearly two months later, they have not been given any further information.

The escape from Kabul was just the first phase, Sarmast said, vowing to work until all 184 remaining faculty and students, past and present, were evacuated and "reunited with the rest of the school".

During a visit by AFP to the college in Kabul last month, there was no sound of music.

Instead, Taliban soldiers chatted and armed guards cradled Kalashnikovs in the courtyard, shaded by trees with swirling treble clefs spray-painted on to their trunks.
