[PJ] On Sunday, PJ Media's Scott Pinsker said that there would be a surefire way of telling that Kamala Harris legitimately thinks she's losing the election.
"As long as Kamala Harris believes she’s winning, she’s not going to take any risks. No big gambles, no bold moves," he wrote. He noted several signs of genuine panic from her campaign, and number one was that "Kamala Harris will suddenly open up and do a ton of interviews — including hostile interviews."
Lo and behold, on Monday, Fox News announced that Harris will do a sit-down interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier.

It will be Harris’ first formal interview ever on Fox News. It will air on the October 16 edition of Baier’s "Special Report" at 6 p.m. ET. Baier will anchor "Special Report" from the battleground state of Pennsylvania that evening.
Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, joined "Fox News Sunday" for the second straight week on Sunday as the Democratic ticket has amped up media appearances in recent weeks.
"Special Report" is regularly among the most-watched programs in cable news, and the popular Common Ground segment featuring political leaders from across the aisle discussing the issues of the day with the goal of finding middle ground has been a hit this election cycle.

HOUSTON, Texas — Texas Department of Public Safety troopers arrested a Venezuelan migrant for allegedly recruiting middle school students into the violent Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang.
Texas DPS troopers arrested 32-year-old Jorgenys Robertson Cova in Houston on October 7, Fox 26 Houston reported. The arrest of the Venezuelan migrant who entered the U.S. illegally during the Biden-Harris administration sent shockwaves through the southwest Houston community of Sharpstown. Cova is suspected of recruiting middle school students for the Tren de Aragua gang.
Fox 26 interviewed local residents, who said:
Residents of the Sharpstown community, where the schools are located, expressed concern over the growing threat. Janice, a local resident, remarked, "A lot of things have happened that are on the news, so if it’s happening elsewhere it might also be happening in our neighborhoods as well, and we’re unaware of it." The community’s sense of safety has been rattled by the news as they call for increased police and authority intervention to prevent an escalation to "a serious situation," Janice noted.
"I think it’s bad for the neighborhood and for the community and I think the police department and authorities need to do something about it before we get to a serious situation," another neighbor said.
The arrest of the suspected TdA gang recruiter is part of a crackdown on the Venezuelan prison gang ordered by Texas Governor Greg Abbott. During an exclusive interview with Breitbart Texas in late September, Governor Abbott said he is making all available tools available to law enforcement to take action against the violent TdA gang.
Governor Abbott recently designated the Venezuelan prison gang as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, unleashing additional law enforcement tools to be employed against TdA gang members.
As part of the State’s crackdown on TdA gang members, Governor Abbott posted a reward of $5,000 for "any information that leads to the identification and arrest of known or suspected members of this gang who have been or are involved in heinous crimes. Texas will not let these thugs use our state as a base of operations to terrorize our citizens."

Hunter Biden’s scandalous laptop - falsely dismissed as Russian disinformation – became part of the American lexicon four years ago today, on October 14, 2020, kicking off a years-long scandal with big tech, corporate media and the intelligence community.
"I think that virtually every single mainstream outlet disgraced themselves," former New York Post deputy politics editor Emma-Jo Morris told Fox News Digital.
While at the New York Post, Morris first reported on Hunter Biden’s personal computer, which eventually was dubbed the "laptop from hell" by the paper’s staffers. The infamous laptop was filled with shocking videos and photos of drug use, lewd sex acts, and sensitive business communications. It was exposed by the Post only a few weeks before then-candidate Joe Biden was set to square off against then-President Trump.
In an unprecedented act of uniformed censorship, the bombshell Post report was essentially buried by Big Tech and the mainstream press, silencing an "October surprise" that many feel could have swung the election.
Twitter, claiming the story violated its terms of service on hacked materials, locked the New York Post out of its account for weeks and even blocked users from sharing the story link. MSNBC, CNN, CBS, NPR, Washington Post, The New York Times and a variety of other outlets and social media platforms either pushed the since-debunked "Russian disinformation" narrative or ignored the story altogether.
Morris, who had the lead byline on the initial bombshell report, feels the "multiple scandals" that erupted following her story forever changed the trajectory of tech and media in America.
"It definitely did change… the trajectory of the tech history because first of all, obviously, the most glaring example is that… the trust on Twitter was completely collapsed… it led Elon Musk to buy the platform," Morris said.
"Now that he has acquired Twitter, it's completely changed the ability for censors to operate because he is just not playing ball with them," she continued. "And Twitter is obviously, which was why this was so scandalous during the time of laptop censorship, Twitter is the main feeder for the rest of media."
The Russian disinformation narrative stemmed in part from an open letter penned by 51 former intel officials, several of whom endorsed Joe Biden for president that year, who declared that the laptop had "all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation." The open letter quickly went viral and was parroted by Biden supporters, including his then-future White House press secretary Jen Psaki, who is now an MSNBC host.
"These people took the word of spies and completely misled the American public, either wittingly or unwittingly. I'm not sure which one is worse," Morris said.
Biden was quick to cite the letter during a 2020 presidential debate when he called claims the laptop was authentic "a bunch of garbage" and only believed by then-President Trump and his allies.
Morris says she got into journalism to help Americans have "some sort of check on power and on tyranny," but the laptop censorship made her realize something critical. She noted the scandal was eye-opening because she realized corporate America has so much clout that tech and media companies were approached by the intelligence community to do their bidding.
"Who was the central focal point of the corruption here? It was corporations. It was Big Tech and corporate media," Morris said.
Morris, now a senior consultant for Beck & Stone, feels there was never real accountability for the people who pushed the bogus narrative that the "laptop from hell" was Russian disinformation even though people following the saga "learned so much" through investigations by journalists and Congress.
"The real sin in all of this was the collaboration between social media, legacy media and the intelligence community," Morris said.
"Nobody apologized, and I don't mean apologized… to their readers and their listeners," Morris continued. "Not a single one."
Morris’ initial Post story centered on a 2015 email from a Ukrainian energy executive to Hunter Biden, thanking him for introducing him to his father, that it had obtained from the hard drive of the laptop. Joe Biden was vice president at the time of the message, and his son then enjoyed a lucrative position on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy firm, raising concerns of an attempted influence-peddling scheme.
The laptop, which was allegedly dropped off at a repair shop in 2019 by its owner and never recovered, was absolutely authentic and has since been not only confirmed by the FBI, but also by the media that previously insisted it was Russian disinformation.
Morris feels The New York Times was the most egregious of the corporate media bad actors, because the Gray Lady dismissed it as "Russian disinformation" until subtly confirming it years later as a throwaway line buried deep in a story about Hunter Biden's taxes.

[LettersFromAustralia] Australia's iron ore capital Port Hedland is sending a written warning to all health practitioners within its boundaries about the dangers of the covid gene-vaccines and is calling for their immediate suspension on safety grounds after DNA contamination was again found in the products.
Port Hedland Council voted 5 to 2 last night to denounce the shots at a Special Council Meeting.
The Council heard video testimony from St George’s University of London Professor Angus Dalgleish in a closed session warning them of the dangers of the products, before passing the motion.
Professor Dalgleish, a specialist in oncology and immunology, is on a speaking tour of Australia for the Australian Medical Professionals Society, sounding the alarm about how the mRNA products cause cancer.

[Newsweek] With just a month remaining until the election, polls in all seven battleground states show the race within the margin of error, leaving the door open for either candidate to potentially sweep all key swing states.
While Harris maintains a slim national lead of 2 to 3 points and holds an edge in four swing states, recent polling has shifted more favorably for Trump.

In the latest NBC News poll, the Democratic and Republican nominees are tied nationally at 48 percent ahead of the November 5 vote, a turnaround from a five-point lead for Harris in the same survey last month.
In the latest ABC News/Ipsos poll, Harris leads 50 percent to 48 percent among likely voters. The Democrat led 52 percent to 46 percent in the same poll last month.
The latest CBS News/YouGov poll shows Harris up 51 percent to 48 percent among likely voters, compared with a four-point advantage last month.
Following the latest figures, Harris holds a 1.4 percent point lead in Real Clear Polling’s aggregate of major polls, slipping from 2.2 percent on Saturday.

Harris has lost six percentage points on Trump in a single month in the NBC News poll, giving the former president the slimmest lead of 47% to 46% among registered voters — with third-party contenders included.
Last month, Harris scored 47% to Trump’s 41% in the same poll.
The vice president had jumped slightly ahead of Donald Trump in polls since rising to the top of the ticket, but now polling is starting to trend against her.
[Hill] I have spoken with three Democratic operatives behind the scenes who all believe the race is slipping away from Vice President Kamala Harris. They offer four major reasons why this is happening.
The first is Harris herself. She is simply not a very good candidate. She lacks confidence and is seemingly terrified to take any unrehearsed or unvetted policy questions. This liability is not a surprise to those who follow politics closely, but is a new concern for a number of voters.
This unsteadiness and insecurity were initially on display when she was the first candidate to embarrassingly flame out of the 2020 presidential primary. Now, in a deja vu moment of clarity, voters, major donors and Democratic power brokers are being reminded of those same failings in 2024.
The second reason Harris is slipping is the Biden-Harris administration’s record. It is weighing her down, dragging her down.
Harris made this problem significantly worse while doing an interview this week on ABC’s "The View." Even though the purpose of this puff interview was to make her look good, Harris fumbled the hand-off. Harris-supporting host Sunny Hostin asked: "Would you have done anything differently than President Biden during the past four years?"
Harris immediately veered off the rails: "There is not a thing that comes to mind," Harris responded. "Not a thing."
The screams of shock and disappointment from the Harris campaign, the mainstream media and Democratic elites after hearing that reply should have set off seismometers all over the D.C. area.
Not surprisingly, Team Trump has been playing that answer on a loop. They are beyond thrilled that Harris just spot-welded herself for the rest of the campaign to the Biden administration’s failures.

I’ve done a lot of pheasant hunting. As a high schooler, I made extra $ assisting guides on pheasant hunts: getting the hunters in the field, flushing game for them to easily shoot, and making sure they are safe. And much more since those days.
You learn to spot the guys who are a potential danger to themselves and others. Everything about them is new: the shotgun, the gear, the clothing. They look like they’ve just stepped out of an LL Bean catalog. This isn’t meant as a criticism. But if you’re leading the hunt it’s a visual clue that he’s probably new to this and, in his excitement, he went to his local hunting store bought all the gear in an effort to look like one of the guys. It tells you to keep an eye on him and to be ready to offer quiet instruction so as not to embarrass him.
I don’t fault Walz for clearly being inexperienced with firearms and hunting. Anyone who is proficient in either had to learn sometime. For most of us, I think, the scorn heaped upon him is due to the fraudulent nature of it all. What VP candidate takes a day off to go hunting? Well, they don’t unless they see it as a photo op. Dems realize Americans think Walz is a beta male weirdo, so some campaign genius said, “I got it! He’ll go hunting! He’ll look manly!”
With the exception of “The Natural,” I generally hate sports movies because the lead actor usually looks like he’s never played sports in his life. Watching Walz handle a shotgun is like watching Keanu Reeves throw a football in “The Replacements.” It’s painful. (Robert Redford was believable as an aging baseball player because he clearly played the game as a boy. Same with Kevin Costner in “For the Love of the Game.”)
In this video, Walz appears to be having difficulty loading his shotgun while on a pheasant hunt. He tells the reporter, whose questioning tone suggests she’s not buying any of this, that it’s a Beretta A400.
The A400 is a semi-auto shotgun. Many guides don’t allow semi-autos on a hunt because they can’t see at a distance that you’re “safe.” A break-action double-barrel is therefore preferred since they can tell when your gun cannot be fired (be it loaded or not). This is because the barrel is on a hinge that “breaks” open to permit manual loading. And this is very important for safety. I would wager that most accidental shotgun deaths involve semi-autos.
This is all the more important in pheasant hunting. Unlike, say, deer hunting where you might sit in a tree all day long by yourself, pheasant hunting is typically done in large groups where the hunters are arranged in a crescent and marched through a field toward “blockers,” that is, hunters who stand still in a line. The idea is to drive the birds into the blockers and force them to flight.
Hunting in such close proximity with other hunters can be dangerous for a variety of reasons: the birds fly parallel to the ground at head level, excitable hunters start blasting away at everything that moves or don’t wait for the birds to reach a safe height, accidental discharges, etc. A guide wants to see that your weapon is open and therefore inoperable in all but the hunt.
The loading port on the A400 is beneath the weapon near the trigger guard. This type of loading is an acquired skill, and Walz doesn’t have it. (I’ll add that Walz says he bought it for trap shooting. In this he is correct. I wouldn’t want to use an A400 pheasant hunting. It’s not a field gun. It’s heavy. But it’s excellent for clays.) He fumbles around and, sensing he’s making a fool of himself, he appears to stop before he’s managed to get it loaded.
As you can see, this carefully choreographed hunt wasn’t so carefully choreographed. It’s become Tim Walz’s Michael Dukakis-in-the-tank moment. It’s also noteworthy that in this gaffe Democrats, for all their faux rage about “toxic masculinity,” unwittingly pay homage to masculinity and its appeal. They do know what it is. They just don’t know how to practice it.

Last clays tournament I attended, shotgun had to be able to loaded by breech, unloaded until your turn, load 1 and breech open until calling "Pull".
Same thing when I went out on a Dove hunt - 1 loaded and breech open, see a target and call direction, then close and track shot. Never been Pheasants, but I imagine its the same grocery aisle as Dove in so much as, like Tim Spaz's photo op, we were foot mobile and not in a set position where fields of fire can be established. Guide's prerogative of course but he didn't want someone getting happy feet (he also established arcs and made it a rule to call cardinal direction of target (had to know cardinal directions instinctively)). The call established who got first try and where, then the closing of the breech let the group know it was a serious call and could respond appropriately such as crouching until action is completed.
[JustTheNews] Representative Tim Burchett (R-TN) says he’s sent a letter to FEMA asking for a detailed account of its spending in Tennessee and North Carolina counties impacted by Hurricane Helene. “This department has a $40 billion budget and now they’re asking for more money and we found five or six billion additional dollars they could use. Participants of the "Sindh Rawadari March" clashed with police outside the press club while resisting arrests for violating Section 144, which was imposed by the Karachi Commissioner to ban demonstrations and assemblies of more than five people across the metropolis.
The police officials noted that over 100 protesters, affiliated with separate groups, were taken into custody from different parts of the metropolis, including outside Karachi Press Club, Hotel Metropole and Jinnah Hospital.

[GEO.TV] SpaceX successfully "caught" the first-stage booster of its Starship megarocket Sunday as it returned to the launch pad after a test flight, a world first in the company's quest for rapid reusability.
The "super heavy booster" had blasted off attached to the Starship rocket minutes earlier, then made a picture-perfect controlled return to the same pad in Texas, where a pair of huge mechanical "chopsticks" reached out from the launch tower to bring the slowly descending booster to a halt, according to a livestream from Elon Musk's SpaceX company.
"Folks, this is a day for the engineering history books," a SpaceX spokesperson said in a voiceover on the company's livestream, after the booster was safely in the tower's grasp and company staffers had erupted in cheers.

on October 6, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has termed the attack "a conspiracy to undermine Pakistain-China relations".
On the night of October 6, a jacket wallah had rammed his explosives-laden vehicle into the convoy of Chinese engineers, resulting in the deaths of two Chinese nationals among three fatalities, while 16 others, including another Chinese national, were maimed. The attack also caused significant damage to more than 15 vehicles.
Responsibility for the attack was claimed by banned Balochistan ...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it... Liberation Army's (BLA) Majeed Brigade via social media.
The CTD, in the copy of its initial report submitted to the administrative judge of the anti-terrorism courts, revealed that the bombing was made possible with the involvement of the banned outfit.
According to the report, the horrific attack was carried out with support from an intelligence agency of a hostile country.
The attacker drove his vehicle close to a convoy carrying Chinese nationals and detonated his charge, the report said, adding that the earth-shattering kaboom took place near the Civil Aviation Authority's (CAA) guardroom.
An FIR No 142/24 has been filed under the Pakistain Penal Code's sections 302 (murder), 353 (assault to deter public servant from discharging duty), 324 (attempted murder), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharging public functions) and 427 (mischief causing damage).
The case registered at a Counter Terrorism Department cop shoppe on the complaint of the Airport Police Station's House Officer (SHO) Kaleem Khan Moosa also includes sections 3 and 4 of the Explosive Substances Act, and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
The FIR quotes the SHO as saying that while he was on duty at around 11pm, a loud explosion was heard. Upon investigation, it was found that the earth-shattering kaboom had occurred on the road in front of the CAA guardroom, near the outer signal of the Jinnah International Airport Terminal Road.

Yifrah is also suspected of unlawfully killing a Hamas terrorist on October 7th after a video surfaced of him hitting a tied-up terrorist who was later found dead.
According to a report by Kan News, the murder case against all those involved, including Yifrah, is expected to be closed due to evidential difficulties and an understanding of the extreme abnormality of the events of October 7th.

[JPost] Smack em harder Two drones were launched toward Israel, but one of the UAVs penetrated deep into Israel, crashing in the Binyamina area. No alarms were activated.
Four IDF soldiers were killed and another seven were seriously wounded in Hezbollah's drone attack targeting a military base near Binyamina, the IDF reported on Sunday night.
All wounded soldiers were evacuated to hospitals for further medical treatment, and notifications were sent to the families of both dead and wounded.
The IDF noted that the incident is under investigation.
A Hezbollah drone struck the Binyamina area on Sunday evening, wounding around 67 people, with four potentially mortally wounded, according to Magen David Adom and the IDF.
The drone was sent from Lebanon under the cover of a Hezbollah rocket barrage.
Two drones were launched toward Israel, with one shot down over sea, but one of the drones penetrated deep into Israel, crashing in the Binyamina area. No warning sirens were activated, which the IDF will be probing.
Later, Army Radio reported the following updates:

MDA reported that four people were critically wounded, five were seriously wounded, and 14 were moderately wounded.

[IsraelTimes] Palestinians in Gaza report several people were killed and dozens more were wounded in an Israeli strike that hit tents of displaced Palestinians inside Al-Aqsa Hospital in the central Gaza city of Deir Al-Balah.
Footage circulated on social media, which could not immediately be verified, shows several tents were set ablaze as some Palestinians tried helplessly to put out the fire.

[FOXBUSINESS] Nearly 450 7-Eleven stores across North America are closing for underperforming, according to the company.
Seven & I Holdings, 7-Eleven's Japan-based parent company, announced in an earnings report Thursday that 444 7-Eleven stores are closing because of a dip in sales, particularly cigarette sales, as well as decreased traffic and inflation.
A list of which stores will be closing was not released.
7-Eleven has 13,000 stores across the U.S. and Canada, which means the closures would only impact 3% of the company's portfolio.
The convenience store chain has faced six consecutive months of traffic declines, including a 7.3% dip in August.
"The North American economy remained robust overall thanks to the consumption of high-income earners, despite a persistently inflationary, elevated interest rate and deteriorating employment environment," Seven & I Holdings said in an earnings release. "In this context, there was a more prudent approach to consumption, particularly among middle- and low-income earners."

[ColonelCassad] I worked as a trauma surgeon in Gaza from March 25 to April 8. I’d volunteered in Ukraine and Haiti, and I’d grown up in Flint, Michigan. I’d seen violence and worked in conflict zones. But of the many things that stood out about working at a hospital in Gaza, one stuck out to me: Almost every day I was there, I saw a new small child who had been shot in the head or chest, almost all of whom later died. Thirteen in all.
This is what happens to human shields when those being shielded start a truly vicious war. If you don’t like the result, blame Hamas for holding those holding those children and their families in vulnerable positions instead of letting them escape.
At the time, I assumed it was the work of a particularly sadistic soldier stationed nearby. But when I got home, I met an emergency room doctor who had worked at a different hospital in Gaza two months before me. “I couldn’t believe how many kids I saw shot in the head,” I told him. To my surprise, he replied, “Yeah, me too. Every day.”
A wealth of information about the scale of the destruction in Gaza has come from satellite data, humanitarian organizations, and the Hamas Gaza Ministry of Health. But Israel does not allow journalists or human rights investigators into Gaza, except for a very few embedded reporting trips with the Israeli military, and the stories of Palestinian journalists in Gaza have not been widely read, despite the incredible risks they take to cover events there.
But there is a group of independent observers who have been watching this war on the ground, day after day: medical volunteers.
Through personal contacts in the medical community and a lot of internet searching, I was able to contact American health workers who have served in Gaza since October 7, 2023. Many of them have family or religious ties to the Middle East. Others, like me, do not, but felt compelled to volunteer in Gaza for a variety of reasons.
Using questions based on my own observations and conversations with fellow doctors and nurses, I worked with Times Opinion to interview 65 health workers about what they saw in Gaza. Fifty-seven, including me, were willing to share their experiences on the record. The other eight participated anonymously, either because they had relatives in Gaza or the West Bank or because they feared retaliation in the workplace.
Here’s what we saw.
The 44 doctors, nurses, and paramedics had seen numerous cases of young children shot in the head or chest in the Gaza Strip.

Wars brutalise people. It's not ok to shoot kids in the head. It's a war crime. If it's accidental, that's different, like when the kid is behind a wall and shots are fired at a combatant, hit the wall, go through and get the kid accidentally. But a head shot sounds deliberate.
These people need to be resettled, you can't kill them all, they're all Hamas so they can't be left there either. They need to be moved to Egypt/Jordan/Qatar permanent resettlement

Deputies assigned to Trump's rally said the driver, Vem Miller, rolled up in a black SUV to a checkpoint at the intersection of Avenue 52 and Celebration Drive around 5 p.m. He was found to be in illegal possession of a shotgun, loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.
Bianco told the Southern Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, News Group on Sunday that he believes Miller — who he said is a member of a right—leaning anti-government group — planned to kill Trump and that deputies thwarted the plan when Miller presented fake VIP and press passes at a checkpoint.
''They were different enough to cause the deputies alarm,'' Bianco said. ''We probably stopped another liquidation attempt.''
Miller is a registered Republican who holds a master's degree from UCLA, and who ran for state assembly in Nevada in 2022.
Bianco said Miller considers himself a so-called sovereign citizen, a group of people who do not believe they are subject to any government statutes unless they consent to them.

An important aspect of the talks was cooperation in the defense industry. Erdogan and Vucic noted the great prospects for cooperation in this area. The military cooperation talks likely included the Bayraktar drones, which Belgrade abandoned last year after Ankara provided five to Kosovo's security forces. During his visit to Albania on Thursday, Erdogan said he would also give the Balkan country an unspecified number of Bayraktars "so that no one would dare attack it."
Asked whether joint military-industrial cooperation with Serbia would include the production of Bayraktar drones, Erdogan replied: “Serbia has certain capabilities, we have certain capabilities, and as friendly countries we can develop our capabilities together.”
KOSOVO IS NOT A HINDRANCE
Although Türkiye unconditionally supported Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence from Serbia in 2008, Erdogan is a proponent of a constructive, balanced approach that also respects Serbian interests in the region.
Back in 2013, when he was prime minister, his statement that “Kosovo is Turkey and Turkey is Kosovo” drew sharp criticism in Belgrade. Ten years later, Aleksandar Vucic sees Erdogan as an actor who can “help maintain stability in northern Kosovo” and a “true friend” of Serbia.
Indeed, despite different views on the status of Kosovo, relations between Belgrade and Ankara have improved significantly over the past decade and are developing steadily.
At the meeting of the presidents in 2019, the head of Turkey already called Serbia a friendly country. During his visit to Belgrade in September 2022, special attention was paid to economic issues.
Turkey, despite the difficult situation in its own economy and the unstable exchange rate of the lira, was able to make efforts to increase trade turnover not only with Serbia, but also with the countries of the region as a whole. Thus, the relations between Turkey and Serbia are very dynamic, and the personal relations of their leaders can be described as friendly.
Ankara is traditionally seen as an ally of Balkan Muslims, including Albanians. However, this does not mean that Turkey will unconditionally support, say, Bosnian Muslims or Albanians against Serbs simply because of some “historical principles.”
On the contrary, Turkish policy in the Balkans is very pragmatic and balanced and far from the ideological labels such as “Great Turan” or “Neo-Ottomanism”. And Erdogan’s current Balkan tour also confirms this.
Let us recall that he arrived in Serbia from Albania, a traditional Turkish ally in the region. And, of course, the fact that the Turkish leader opened a new mosque there is an important ideological symbol of the continuity of the Ottoman presence in the Balkans.
However, the signed agreements and growing trade turnover with Serbia indicate that other aspects of Turkey's activities in the region, beyond ideological principles, are of no less, if not greater, importance.
Ankara aims to become one of the most influential foreign players in the Balkans and therefore has many factors to consider. It already plays a major role in conflicts ranging from Syria and Libya to Ukraine, often imposing solutions through force.
Since the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, organized by the European Union, has not led to a complete easing of tensions in northern Kosovo, Erdogan sees a window of opportunity for further mediation in this conflict as well.
The “Turkish party” deserved special attention against the backdrop of the next crisis in Kosovo in 2022–2023, where it would seem that Erdogan should traditionally side with the Albanians and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti against the ethnic Serb minority in northern Kosovo. However, Ankara extended a hand to Kurti primarily against the backdrop of his confrontation with the United States, and not because of contradictions with the Serbs.
At that time, Washington tried to tear Vucic away from Russia by making concessions to the Serbian side, while simultaneously putting pressure on the authorities of the partially recognized Kosovo. Erdogan intervened in the situation largely at the request of the Kosovo authorities, but did so to spite the Americans and in such a way that Serbia had no reason to be dissatisfied with the Turkish mediation.
From the very beginning of the crisis, the Turkish president held talks with both the Kosovo Prime Minister and President Vucic, calling for dialogue. And in the summer of 2023, in agreement with the authorities of both sides, a Turkish military contingent was deployed in northern Kosovo. About 500 soldiers and officers from the 65th Mechanized Brigade of the Turkish Army formed the bulk of the NATO reinforcements in the north of the province.
Therefore, on the one hand, the Turkish military deployment in Kosovo underlines Ankara’s status as a mediator, and on the other hand, it is a way of Turkey’s military return to the Balkans and a clear example of NATO using its instrument of play on the Balkan field.
Strengthening the Turkish military presence in Kosovo will undoubtedly help Ankara strengthen its position in the region, especially now that the West is busy helping the Kyiv regime. At the same time, it will help Erdogan position himself as an impartial partner for both Belgrade and Pristina.
BOSNIAN QUESTION
In turn, Turkey's official position on the sore "Bosnian issue" boils down to the need for peaceful coexistence between Bosnian Muslims and the Republic of Srpska. The Turkish president is trying to prevent the situation from escalating or the republic from separating from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In September 2022, Erdogan rushed to the country to hold talks with the Presidency Council "triumvirate" as tensions between Bosniaks and Serbs rose in the country. This followed a statement by Republika Srpska leader Milorad Dodik opposing a law banning the denial of the Bosnian genocide. The Turkish president was trying to cement his status as a peacemaker in the country as well.
It is significant that a year earlier, Dodik himself also visited Istanbul, where he held talks with the Turkish leader.
Again, being an ally of (partially) Muslim Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania, Turkey has no less close allied relations with Montenegro and Northern Macedonia. And Ankara is ready to be a guarantor of the territorial integrity of these states and not allow Albanian separatism to raise its head there.
The same Montenegro, even against the backdrop of cooling relations with Russia, is historically turned to the East and is not inclined to fully trust its fate to Europe and the West. In this situation, Ankara, with its multi-vector approach and special view of international affairs, is becoming a desirable partner.
In particular, on June 25, 2023, the then Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazović, during a visit to Istanbul, stated that Turkey has now become a “key country” in the Western Balkans and the region is in dire need of mediation from leaders like Erdogan, who are capable of bringing the necessary stability to it.
MACEDONIAN FRONT AGAINST ATHENS
And in August 2021, shortly after joining NATO, North Macedonia signed a separate military cooperation agreement with Turkey, providing for the active participation of the Turkish military in the modernization and enhancement of the defense capability of the North Macedonian army.
Of course, by strengthening its position in the Balkans, Ankara is also challenging Athens, with which Turkey has a whole tangle of unresolved problems. And it is precisely on this basis that Ankara is becoming one of the closest partners of Northern Macedonia and has already helped Skopje join NATO, when Greece was against it.
Therefore, the development of military cooperation with North Macedonia and Albania could be an alarming signal for Greece. In recent years, in the context of the Turkish-Greek escalation in the Eastern Mediterranean, France has provided significant military and diplomatic support to the Greeks. Therefore, the possibility of tensions to the north and west of the continental borders of Greece should not be underestimated.

Officials, including U.S. Air Force General Mark Kelly who was a Witness of the Event, say that over several Nights a Swarm of Drones, some believed to be as long as 20 Feet and flying at over 100 Miles per Hour, were seen flying at an Altitude of roughly 2,500 Feet over Langley and the then South towards Naval Station Norfolk and other Bases along the Virginia Coastline, with it claimed to have sounded like a “Parade of Lawnmowers.”
With these Events, leading to Two Weeks of Meetings at the White House involving multiple Agencies, including the Defense Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pentagon’s UFO Office, to determine what these Drones are and where they are coming from; though almost No Information has been Publicly Released, other than its believed the Drones were not being flown by Hobbyists, but instead likely a Hostile Power, like China or Russia.
The Incident is said to be similar to something that occurred in October of 2023 at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Nevada National Security Site, which is used for Nuclear Weapon Experimentation outside of Las Vegas; in which several Drones were seen over the Facility over a Three-Day Period, leading to a System being installed which could Detect and Counter the Drones.
