Now We Know That Kamala Harris Believes She's Losing
[PJ] On Sunday, PJ Media's Scott Pinsker said that there would be a surefire way of telling that Kamala Harris legitimately thinks she's losing the election.

"As long as Kamala Harris believes she’s winning, she’s not going to take any risks. No big gambles, no bold moves," he wrote. He noted several signs of genuine panic from her campaign, and number one was that "Kamala Harris will suddenly open up and do a ton of interviews — including hostile interviews."

Lo and behold, on Monday, Fox News announced that Harris will do a sit-down interview with Fox News anchor Bret Baier.

Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris will sit down with Fox News Channel’s chief political anchor Bret Baier for an interview on Wednesday in Pennsylvania.

It will be Harris’ first formal interview ever on Fox News. It will air on the October 16 edition of Baier’s "Special Report" at 6 p.m. ET. Baier will anchor "Special Report" from the battleground state of Pennsylvania that evening.

Harris’ running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, joined "Fox News Sunday" for the second straight week on Sunday as the Democratic ticket has amped up media appearances in recent weeks.

"Special Report" is regularly among the most-watched programs in cable news, and the popular Common Ground segment featuring political leaders from across the aisle discussing the issues of the day with the goal of finding middle ground has been a hit this election cycle.

Harris has already been increasing the number of interviews she's been having, but they've all been on friendly territory. She's appeared on CNN, MSNBC, "The View", "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert", Howard Stern's radio show, "60 Minutes," and a sex podcast called "Call Her Daddy."

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Migrant crime wave during Biden-Harris admin under scrutiny amid series of assaults, murders: A timeline
[FoxNews] The historic crisis at the southern border saw millions of illegal immigrants arrive there, with a great many eventually released into the United States as officials struggled to deal with the numbers they were facing.

Illegal immigration has remained a top issue for voters ever since, and that has been highlighted by a number of shocking, high-profile crimes committed by those in the country without authorization.

These are some of the most shocking crimes allegedly committed by illegal immigrants at the height of the border crisis – some of whom entered during the current crisis and some who entered years before, but allegedly committed crimes recently.
Long, detailed, starts in 2022.

TEXAS DPS: Tren de Aragua Gang Member Arrested for Recruiting at Houston Middle School
[Breitbart] Dig a hole. Bury him
HOUSTON, Texas — Texas Department of Public Safety troopers arrested a Venezuelan migrant for allegedly recruiting middle school students into the violent Tren de Aragua (TdA) gang.

Texas DPS troopers arrested 32-year-old Jorgenys Robertson Cova in Houston on October 7, Fox 26 Houston reported. The arrest of the Venezuelan migrant who entered the U.S. illegally during the Biden-Harris administration sent shockwaves through the southwest Houston community of Sharpstown. Cova is suspected of recruiting middle school students for the Tren de Aragua gang.

Fox 26 interviewed local residents, who said:

Residents of the Sharpstown community, where the schools are located, expressed concern over the growing threat. Janice, a local resident, remarked, "A lot of things have happened that are on the news, so if it’s happening elsewhere it might also be happening in our neighborhoods as well, and we’re unaware of it." The community’s sense of safety has been rattled by the news as they call for increased police and authority intervention to prevent an escalation to "a serious situation," Janice noted.

"I think it’s bad for the neighborhood and for the community and I think the police department and authorities need to do something about it before we get to a serious situation," another neighbor said.

The arrest of the suspected TdA gang recruiter is part of a crackdown on the Venezuelan prison gang ordered by Texas Governor Greg Abbott. During an exclusive interview with Breitbart Texas in late September, Governor Abbott said he is making all available tools available to law enforcement to take action against the violent TdA gang.

Governor Abbott recently designated the Venezuelan prison gang as a Foreign Terrorist Organization, unleashing additional law enforcement tools to be employed against TdA gang members.

As part of the State’s crackdown on TdA gang members, Governor Abbott posted a reward of $5,000 for "any information that leads to the identification and arrest of known or suspected members of this gang who have been or are involved in heinous crimes. Texas will not let these thugs use our state as a base of operations to terrorize our citizens."

"Our goal is to make sure we find them, identify them, locate them, arrest them, and lock them up," Abbott stated during the Friday interview.

Government Corruption
Hunter Biden ‘laptop from hell' scandal turns 4: How media, intelligence community misled Americans
A taste.
[FoxNews] 'The real sin... was the collaboration between social media, legacy media and the intelligence community,' New York Post journalist Emma-Jo Morris says.

Hunter Biden’s scandalous laptop - falsely dismissed as Russian disinformation – became part of the American lexicon four years ago today, on October 14, 2020, kicking off a years-long scandal with big tech, corporate media and the intelligence community.

"I think that virtually every single mainstream outlet disgraced themselves," former New York Post deputy politics editor Emma-Jo Morris told Fox News Digital.

While at the New York Post, Morris first reported on Hunter Biden’s personal computer, which eventually was dubbed the "laptop from hell" by the paper’s staffers. The infamous laptop was filled with shocking videos and photos of drug use, lewd sex acts, and sensitive business communications. It was exposed by the Post only a few weeks before then-candidate Joe Biden was set to square off against then-President Trump.

In an unprecedented act of uniformed censorship, the bombshell Post report was essentially buried by Big Tech and the mainstream press, silencing an "October surprise" that many feel could have swung the election.

Twitter, claiming the story violated its terms of service on hacked materials, locked the New York Post out of its account for weeks and even blocked users from sharing the story link. MSNBC, CNN, CBS, NPR, Washington Post, The New York Times and a variety of other outlets and social media platforms either pushed the since-debunked "Russian disinformation" narrative or ignored the story altogether.

Morris, who had the lead byline on the initial bombshell report, feels the "multiple scandals" that erupted following her story forever changed the trajectory of tech and media in America.

"It definitely did change… the trajectory of the tech history because first of all, obviously, the most glaring example is that… the trust on Twitter was completely collapsed… it led Elon Musk to buy the platform," Morris said.

"Now that he has acquired Twitter, it's completely changed the ability for censors to operate because he is just not playing ball with them," she continued. "And Twitter is obviously, which was why this was so scandalous during the time of laptop censorship, Twitter is the main feeder for the rest of media."

The Russian disinformation narrative stemmed in part from an open letter penned by 51 former intel officials, several of whom endorsed Joe Biden for president that year, who declared that the laptop had "all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation." The open letter quickly went viral and was parroted by Biden supporters, including his then-future White House press secretary Jen Psaki, who is now an MSNBC host.

"These people took the word of spies and completely misled the American public, either wittingly or unwittingly. I'm not sure which one is worse," Morris said.

Biden was quick to cite the letter during a 2020 presidential debate when he called claims the laptop was authentic "a bunch of garbage" and only believed by then-President Trump and his allies.

Morris says she got into journalism to help Americans have "some sort of check on power and on tyranny," but the laptop censorship made her realize something critical. She noted the scandal was eye-opening because she realized corporate America has so much clout that tech and media companies were approached by the intelligence community to do their bidding.

"Who was the central focal point of the corruption here? It was corporations. It was Big Tech and corporate media," Morris said.

Morris, now a senior consultant for Beck & Stone, feels there was never real accountability for the people who pushed the bogus narrative that the "laptop from hell" was Russian disinformation even though people following the saga "learned so much" through investigations by journalists and Congress.

"The real sin in all of this was the collaboration between social media, legacy media and the intelligence community," Morris said.

"Nobody apologized, and I don't mean apologized… to their readers and their listeners," Morris continued. "Not a single one."

Morris’ initial Post story centered on a 2015 email from a Ukrainian energy executive to Hunter Biden, thanking him for introducing him to his father, that it had obtained from the hard drive of the laptop. Joe Biden was vice president at the time of the message, and his son then enjoyed a lucrative position on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian energy firm, raising concerns of an attempted influence-peddling scheme.

The laptop, which was allegedly dropped off at a repair shop in 2019 by its owner and never recovered, was absolutely authentic and has since been not only confirmed by the FBI, but also by the media that previously insisted it was Russian disinformation.

Morris feels The New York Times was the most egregious of the corporate media bad actors, because the Gray Lady dismissed it as "Russian disinformation" until subtly confirming it years later as a throwaway line buried deep in a story about Hunter Biden's taxes.

Australia's iron ore capital Port Hedland to warn all healthcare providers against mRNA danger
[LettersFromAustralia] Australia's iron ore capital Port Hedland is sending a written warning to all health practitioners within its boundaries about the dangers of the covid gene-vaccines and is calling for their immediate suspension on safety grounds after DNA contamination was again found in the products.

Port Hedland Council voted 5 to 2 last night to denounce the shots at a Special Council Meeting.

The Council heard video testimony from St George’s University of London Professor Angus Dalgleish in a closed session warning them of the dangers of the products, before passing the motion.

Professor Dalgleish, a specialist in oncology and immunology, is on a speaking tour of Australia for the Australian Medical Professionals Society, sounding the alarm about how the mRNA products cause cancer.

Newsweek - Donald Trump's Chances of Winning a Landslide, According to Odds, Polls
[Newsweek] With just a month remaining until the election, polls in all seven battleground states show the race within the margin of error, leaving the door open for either candidate to potentially sweep all key swing states.

While Harris maintains a slim national lead of 2 to 3 points and holds an edge in four swing states, recent polling has shifted more favorably for Trump.

An ActiVote poll now puts Trump 1 point ahead nationally, and a Fabrizio/McLaughlin poll shows him leading in every swing state. Pollster Nate Silver's tracker shows that Trump has made gains in every swing state other than Georgia in the past week. This momentum raises the possibility of a landslide victory for Trump.

But what constitutes a landslide? There is no precise definition, but political scientist Gerald Hill told the Associated Press that "it usually means exceeding expectations and being somewhat overwhelming."

If we mean one candidate winning at least 100 more Electoral College votes than their opponent, there have been seven landslide election victories over the past 50 years.

Harris losing ground to Trump in US presidential election, polls suggest
[NBC via Aljazeera] Kamala Harris is losing ground to Donald Trump with less than a month to go until the election for president of the United States, a series of polls suggest.

Harris’s lead over Trump has narrowed or vanished outright as the race for the White House approaches the final stretch, according to three polls released on Sunday.

In the latest NBC News poll, the Democratic and Republican nominees are tied nationally at 48 percent ahead of the November 5 vote, a turnaround from a five-point lead for Harris in the same survey last month.

In the latest ABC News/Ipsos poll, Harris leads 50 percent to 48 percent among likely voters. The Democrat led 52 percent to 46 percent in the same poll last month.

The latest CBS News/YouGov poll shows Harris up 51 percent to 48 percent among likely voters, compared with a four-point advantage last month.

Following the latest figures, Harris holds a 1.4 percent point lead in Real Clear Polling’s aggregate of major polls, slipping from 2.2 percent on Saturday.

NYP - Kamala Harris' campaign is falling rapidly behind Donald Trump, 3 new polls show
[NYP] Vice President Kamala Harris has lost steam and her edge against former President Donald Trump has slipped in three major polls with less than a month to go until Election Day — yet another blow to Democrats who were already starting to panic about November.

Harris has lost six percentage points on Trump in a single month in the NBC News poll, giving the former president the slimmest lead of 47% to 46% among registered voters — with third-party contenders included.

Last month, Harris scored 47% to Trump’s 41% in the same poll.

The vice president had jumped slightly ahead of Donald Trump in polls since rising to the top of the ticket, but now polling is starting to trend against her.

The Hill - The 4 reasons Harris is losing
[Hill] I have spoken with three Democratic operatives behind the scenes who all believe the race is slipping away from Vice President Kamala Harris. They offer four major reasons why this is happening.

The first is Harris herself. She is simply not a very good candidate. She lacks confidence and is seemingly terrified to take any unrehearsed or unvetted policy questions. This liability is not a surprise to those who follow politics closely, but is a new concern for a number of voters.

This unsteadiness and insecurity were initially on display when she was the first candidate to embarrassingly flame out of the 2020 presidential primary. Now, in a deja vu moment of clarity, voters, major donors and Democratic power brokers are being reminded of those same failings in 2024.

The second reason Harris is slipping is the Biden-Harris administration’s record. It is weighing her down, dragging her down.

Harris made this problem significantly worse while doing an interview this week on ABC’s "The View." Even though the purpose of this puff interview was to make her look good, Harris fumbled the hand-off. Harris-supporting host Sunny Hostin asked: "Would you have done anything differently than President Biden during the past four years?"

Harris immediately veered off the rails: "There is not a thing that comes to mind," Harris responded. "Not a thing."

The screams of shock and disappointment from the Harris campaign, the mainstream media and Democratic elites after hearing that reply should have set off seismometers all over the D.C. area.

Not surprisingly, Team Trump has been playing that answer on a loop. They are beyond thrilled that Harris just spot-welded herself for the rest of the campaign to the Biden administration’s failures.

Tim Walz’s Hunting Gaffe Explained
by Larry Alex Taunton
From his X account
I’ve done a lot of pheasant hunting. As a high schooler, I made extra $ assisting guides on pheasant hunts: getting the hunters in the field, flushing game for them to easily shoot, and making sure they are safe. And much more since those days.

You learn to spot the guys who are a potential danger to themselves and others. Everything about them is new: the shotgun, the gear, the clothing. They look like they’ve just stepped out of an LL Bean catalog. This isn’t meant as a criticism. But if you’re leading the hunt it’s a visual clue that he’s probably new to this and, in his excitement, he went to his local hunting store bought all the gear in an effort to look like one of the guys. It tells you to keep an eye on him and to be ready to offer quiet instruction so as not to embarrass him.

I don’t fault Walz for clearly being inexperienced with firearms and hunting. Anyone who is proficient in either had to learn sometime. For most of us, I think, the scorn heaped upon him is due to the fraudulent nature of it all. What VP candidate takes a day off to go hunting? Well, they don’t unless they see it as a photo op. Dems realize Americans think Walz is a beta male weirdo, so some campaign genius said, “I got it! He’ll go hunting! He’ll look manly!”

With the exception of “The Natural,” I generally hate sports movies because the lead actor usually looks like he’s never played sports in his life. Watching Walz handle a shotgun is like watching Keanu Reeves throw a football in “The Replacements.” It’s painful. (Robert Redford was believable as an aging baseball player because he clearly played the game as a boy. Same with Kevin Costner in “For the Love of the Game.”)

In this video, Walz appears to be having difficulty loading his shotgun while on a pheasant hunt. He tells the reporter, whose questioning tone suggests she’s not buying any of this, that it’s a Beretta A400.

The A400 is a semi-auto shotgun. Many guides don’t allow semi-autos on a hunt because they can’t see at a distance that you’re “safe.” A break-action double-barrel is therefore preferred since they can tell when your gun cannot be fired (be it loaded or not). This is because the barrel is on a hinge that “breaks” open to permit manual loading. And this is very important for safety. I would wager that most accidental shotgun deaths involve semi-autos.

This is all the more important in pheasant hunting. Unlike, say, deer hunting where you might sit in a tree all day long by yourself, pheasant hunting is typically done in large groups where the hunters are arranged in a crescent and marched through a field toward “blockers,” that is, hunters who stand still in a line. The idea is to drive the birds into the blockers and force them to flight.

Hunting in such close proximity with other hunters can be dangerous for a variety of reasons: the birds fly parallel to the ground at head level, excitable hunters start blasting away at everything that moves or don’t wait for the birds to reach a safe height, accidental discharges, etc. A guide wants to see that your weapon is open and therefore inoperable in all but the hunt.

The loading port on the A400 is beneath the weapon near the trigger guard. This type of loading is an acquired skill, and Walz doesn’t have it. (I’ll add that Walz says he bought it for trap shooting. In this he is correct. I wouldn’t want to use an A400 pheasant hunting. It’s not a field gun. It’s heavy. But it’s excellent for clays.) He fumbles around and, sensing he’s making a fool of himself, he appears to stop before he’s managed to get it loaded.

As you can see, this carefully choreographed hunt wasn’t so carefully choreographed. It’s become Tim Walz’s Michael Dukakis-in-the-tank moment. It’s also noteworthy that in this gaffe Democrats, for all their faux rage about “toxic masculinity,” unwittingly pay homage to masculinity and its appeal. They do know what it is. They just don’t know how to practice it.

#7  Last clays tournament I attended, shotgun had to be able to loaded by breech, unloaded until your turn, load 1 and breech open until calling "Pull".

Same thing when I went out on a Dove hunt - 1 loaded and breech open, see a target and call direction, then close and track shot. Never been Pheasants, but I imagine its the same grocery aisle as Dove in so much as, like Tim Spaz's photo op, we were foot mobile and not in a set position where fields of fire can be established. Guide's prerogative of course but he didn't want someone getting happy feet (he also established arcs and made it a rule to call cardinal direction of target (had to know cardinal directions instinctively)). The call established who got first try and where, then the closing of the breech let the group know it was a serious call and could respond appropriately such as crouching until action is completed.

Rep. Tim Burchett demands FEMA provide ‘receipts' of Hurricane Helene disaster relief spending
[JustTheNews] Representative Tim Burchett (R-TN) says he’s sent a letter to FEMA asking for a detailed account of its spending in Tennessee and North Carolina counties impacted by Hurricane Helene. “This department has a $40 billion budget and now they’re asking for more money and we found five or six billion additional dollars they could use. They’re not even looking at that,” he says.

[GEO.TV] Defying Section 144, demonstrators from two opposing groups clashed with riot police in Bloody Karachi

Participants of the "Sindh Rawadari March" clashed with police outside the press club while resisting arrests for violating Section 144, which was imposed by the Karachi Commissioner to ban demonstrations and assemblies of more than five people across the metropolis.

The police officials noted that over 100 protesters, affiliated with separate groups, were taken into custody from different parts of the metropolis, including outside Karachi Press Club, Hotel Metropole and Jinnah Hospital.

Moreover, sources told Geo News that four coppers sustained injuries amid the festivities and have been shifted to hospital.

Speaking to journalists, South Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Syed Asad Raza said that ''at least 20 people have been detained so far, including women.''

More police personnel have been deployed on all the roads leading to the press club.

In another clash near the Governor House, the police fired tear gas shells at the protesters of a religious organization, which has called a counter-protest at the KPC, forcing its rally to move towards Hotel Metropole.

Amid tear-gas shelling, protesters pelted stones at riot police, injuring two cops, while they also reportedly set a police van on fire.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pond, Gloria slowly backed away from the eight-foot bull frog. If the creature croaked she would surely be deafened...
at least 27 protesters were also taken into custody near Teen Talwar in Clifton, including women.

SpaceX makes history by ''catching'' Megarocket booster post-test flight
[GEO.TV] SpaceX successfully "caught" the first-stage booster of its Starship megarocket Sunday as it returned to the launch pad after a test flight, a world first in the company's quest for rapid reusability.

The "super heavy booster" had blasted off attached to the Starship rocket minutes earlier, then made a picture-perfect controlled return to the same pad in Texas, where a pair of huge mechanical "chopsticks" reached out from the launch tower to bring the slowly descending booster to a halt, according to a livestream from Elon Musk's SpaceX company.

"Folks, this is a day for the engineering history books," a SpaceX spokesperson said in a voiceover on the company's livestream, after the booster was safely in the tower's grasp and company staffers had erupted in cheers.

Karachi airport attack ''conspiracy'' to undermine Pak-China ties: CTD
[GEO.TV] A week after the deadly explosion targeting a convoy of Chinese engineers in Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...

on October 6, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has termed the attack "a conspiracy to undermine Pakistain-China relations".

On the night of October 6, a jacket wallah had rammed his explosives-laden vehicle into the convoy of Chinese engineers, resulting in the deaths of two Chinese nationals among three fatalities, while 16 others, including another Chinese national, were maimed. The attack also caused significant damage to more than 15 vehicles.

Responsibility for the attack was claimed by banned Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
Liberation Army's (BLA) Majeed Brigade via social media.

The CTD, in the copy of its initial report submitted to the administrative judge of the anti-terrorism courts, revealed that the bombing was made possible with the involvement of the banned outfit.

According to the report, the horrific attack was carried out with support from an intelligence agency of a hostile country.

The attacker drove his vehicle close to a convoy carrying Chinese nationals and detonated his charge, the report said, adding that the earth-shattering kaboom took place near the Civil Aviation Authority's (CAA) guardroom.

An FIR No 142/24 has been filed under the Pakistain Penal Code's sections 302 (murder), 353 (assault to deter public servant from discharging duty), 324 (attempted murder), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharging public functions) and 427 (mischief causing damage).

The case registered at a Counter Terrorism Department cop shoppe on the complaint of the Airport Police Station's House Officer (SHO) Kaleem Khan Moosa also includes sections 3 and 4 of the Explosive Substances Act, and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

The FIR quotes the SHO as saying that while he was on duty at around 11pm, a loud explosion was heard. Upon investigation, it was found that the earth-shattering kaboom had occurred on the road in front of the CAA guardroom, near the outer signal of the Jinnah International Airport Terminal Road.

Billionaire Mark Cuban expresses support for Kamala Harris
[GEO.TV] Mark Cuban, the billionaire investor and owner of the Dallas Mavericks, supports the Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
as he believes Vice President Kamala Harris
who got her start in politix between former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's' knees
is a "better candidate".

Endorsing Harris against former US president Donald Trump
...They hit him with slander, they impeached him twice. Nancy Pelosi tore up his State of the Union address on national TV. They stole an election and put his adherents in jail. They vilified him. They couldn't crucify him, so they shot him. Still, they can't keep him down...
, Cuban claimed he "thought a first term by Donald Trump was bad. A second term would be worse".

The ABC's Shark Tank television star has actively backed Harris on social media and in interviews after she became the face of the democratic party.

Cuban used to support Trump's candidacy in 2015 but now he has completely been against the former president.

Over the last few months, Cuban and Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been engaged in a verbal dispute as Elon is one of Trump's main supporter and Cuban is vigilantly protecting Harris from accusation made by Trump and Musk fans.

Speaking during an interview with Newsweek, the billionaire revealed another reason why he supports the vice-president. He said: "Kamala is far more stable, open-minded, she has done a great job communicating with business leaders, she is not an ideologue, she takes feedback from Republicans, independents and more."

High school coach arrested on suspicion of sexual contact with students in Perris — Press Enterprise
[PRESSENTERPRISE] A high school coach in Perris was arrested on Thursday, Oct. 10, on suspicion of sexual contact with minors, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced.

In August, a school resource deputy was called to Perris High at 165 E. Nuevo Road to investigate allegations that an athletic coach, Jesse Gonsalez Lopez, 27, was having inappropriate contact with female students at the school.

Lopez was placed on leave while the sheriff's Special Victims Unit investigated, and was ultimately booked into the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in French Valley on suspicion of child annoyance, sexual battery, and lewd and lascivious acts with a minor.

Lopez posted a $10,000 bail and was released on Friday morning, Oct. 11.

Details of the allegations were not immediately available, nor were the minors' ages or Lopez's duration of employment.

The Perris Union High School District did not return a call for comment. Its website said the district was closed for staff training.

Ukrainian General Staff on the most difficult areas of the front
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Korrespondent] The most difficult is in the Kurakhovo direction, the Russians have carried out 19 attacks. Currently, three battles are being conducted in the areas of Novoselidovka and Kremennaya Balka. In addition, the enemy dropped air bombs on Kurakhovo and Ilyinka.

The situation on the combat line remains tense. A total of 80 combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day. This was noted in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Sunday, October 13.

The border settlements of Sumy Oblast continue to suffer from artillery shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation. Bobilovka suffered from cannon artillery fire. The aggressor also carried out air strikes on the areas of the settlements of Sosnovka, Mishutino, Glukhov, Oboda and Belaya Bereza, using 13 UABs.

The Russians are bombing the Kursk region of the Russian Federation: according to available information, nine strikes by twelve guided aerial bombs have been carried out on its territory.

In addition, in the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers are repelling six enemy attacks near Petrovpavlovka, Peschane, Vishneve, Kopanki and Lozovaya, one of these clashes has already ended.

In the Liman direction, the invading army carried out ten attacks during the day near Grekovka, Druzhelyubovka, Terny and Torskoye. Five combat clashes have ended by this time, and five more are continuing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders repelled an enemy assault near Chasovy Yar.

In the Toretsk direction, two enemy attacks took place in the Shcherbinovka area.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have made 15 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Sukhoi Yar, Lisovka, Luch and Selidovo. The defense forces are holding back the pressure and have repelled 13 enemy attacks, two combat clashes are still ongoing. The enemy is concentrating its main efforts near Selidovoye, where 12 battles have taken place so far.

Today the hottest part of the battle is in the Kurakhovo direction, the Russians have carried out 19 attacks near Kremennaya Balka, Izmailovka, Novoselidovka, Kurakhovka, Gornyak, Maksimilianovka, Konstantinovka and Yekaterinovka. Currently, three battles are being fought in the areas of Novoselidovka and Kremennaya Balka. In addition, the enemy dropped air bombs on Kurakhovo and Ilyinka.

In the Vremovsky direction, our troops are repelling the Russian offensive near Zolotaya Niva. The battle is currently ongoing.

In the Orekhov direction, the occupiers twice tried to push our units from their positions. The clash continues near Rabotino.

In the Dnieper direction, our defenders have repelled four enemy attacks, and another one is ongoing.

Let us recall that Russia lost 1,300 of its soldiers at the front in the past 24 hours from October 12 to 13 .

Russia also suffered its heaviest losses on the front since the start of the full-scale invasion in September, with average daily losses exceeding a thousand soldiers.

More from korrespondent.net
Paratroopers repulsed a Russian attack in the Kurakhovsky direction

Our soldiers, repelling the enemy attack, burned seven armored vehicles with infantry and one tank. Another tank was knocked out.

Tavrichesky paratroopers have repelled a massive Russian attack again. This was reported by the press service of the 79th separate Tavrichesky airborne assault brigade on Sunday, October 13.

The report noted that 25 armored vehicles with infantry, supported by five tanks, left to storm the positions of the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Tavricheskaya Brigade, which is holding the defense in the Kurakhovsky direction.

At the same time, the occupiers failed to achieve surprise - the columns were detected in time by aerial reconnaissance. The occupiers encountered artillery fire and suicide drone strikes far away on the approaches. Anti-tank gunners successfully entered the battle. In addition, as noted in the report, minefields worked reliably.

"Our soldiers, repelling the attack, burned seven armored vehicles with infantry and one tank. Another tank was hit. 33 occupiers died during this battle. Some were simply burned out by righteous airborne fire. The same number of Russians were wounded. The surviving equipment rushed from the battlefield, running away from our attack drones," the statement says.

Earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine successfully launched an ATACMS ballistic missile strike on the Russian Nebo-M radar station.

Ukrainian Perspective: Invasion of Ukraine: October 13, 2024
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Worth noting, korrespondent.net has compiled its Invasion of Ukraine series into separate months, beginning May 9th, 2023. Linked in the title.

[Korrespondent] 21:35 Zelensky in an evening video address stated the need "to prevent Russia and its accomplices from adapting to our capabilities. We see that the alliance between Russia and regimes like North Korea is growing. This is no longer just about the transfer of weapons. This is actually about the transfer of people from North Korea to the military forces of the occupier."

The President stressed that "in such conditions, our relations with partners need to develop, the front needs more support." "When we talk about greater range for Ukraine and more decisive supplies for our forces, this is not just a list of military means. This is about increasing pressure on the aggressor, which will be stronger for Russia than they can withstand. And this is about preventing a bigger war," Zelensky said.

19:35 Biden will arrive in Germany on Thursday, October 17, but a "quiet visit" is planned, without a meeting in the Ramstein format, German TV channel ZDF reports, citing diplomatic sources. According to media reports, the meeting of the contact group on the defense of Ukraine "definitely will not take place in the near future": further decisions in the Ramstein format will probably be made after the presidential elections in the United States.

17:59 The Washington Post writes that illegal Starlink terminals helped the Russian army advance on the front, including capturing Vuhledar. Ukrainian military officials told reporters that the Russian army's use of Starlink terminals was an important reason for capturing the city, along with a shortage of manpower and weapons.

15:13 The prosecutor's office has opened a case in connection with the execution of Ukrainian prisoners in the Kursk region, Prosecutor General Andrei Kostin reported.

14:36 Biden plans to visit Germany next week, writes Der Spiegel. According to the publication, on Friday, October 18, the US President will meet with Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The main topics of the talks are the war in Ukraine and support for NATO allies.

11:52 Ukrainian OSINT project DeepState reports that Russians have shot nine Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region. According to sources in the 1st OTBR, this happened on October 10 near the village of Zeleny Shlyakh. The Ukrainian soldiers "came to their positions thinking that they were in the relative rear," but due to a limited number of weapons they were forced to surrender, after which they were executed. Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets reported that he sent letters to the UN and the Red Cross in connection with the shooting of soldiers in the Kursk region.

09:33 Bild writes, citing sources in the German Defense Ministry, that Germany will no longer send heavy military equipment to Ukraine. According to the publication, Germany still has about 300 Leopard 2 tanks, as well as an unspecified number of infantry fighting vehicles and howitzers. At the same time, Berlin "does not believe" that Ukraine will be able to carry out a counteroffensive any time soon.

The publication also writes that during his last meeting with Zelensky, Scholz "did not give a positive answer" to the request to allow strikes deep into Russia and to supply long-range Taurus missiles, as well as to speed up Ukraine's admission to NATO. At the same time, the chancellor did not say a categorical "no".

09:08 Air defense destroyed 31 of 68 attack UAVs in the Kyiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, Sumy and Cherkasy regions at night, the Air Force reported. Another 36 Russian drones were lost in different regions of Ukraine, probably as a result of electronic warfare countermeasures, one UAV remains in the air, combat operations continue. In addition, at night the enemy struck the Poltava and Odessa regions with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and the Chernihiv and Sumy regions with two Kh-59 guided air missiles.

08:50 In the Kharkiv region, over the past day, four people were wounded as a result of Russian shelling: two in the village of Cherkasskaya Lozovaya in the Kharkiv district and two in the city of Kupyansk, reported the head of the OVA Oleg Sinegubov.

08:39 The number of casualties as a result of yesterday's Russian strikes on populated areas of Donetsk Oblast has risen to 11, two people have died - in Kurakhovka and Ulakly, reported the head of the OVA Vadim Filashkin.

08:17 In the Kherson region, over the past day, as a result of Russian shelling, three people were injured, reported the head of the OVA, Oleksandr Prokudin.

07:51 The General Staff announced the estimated losses of the Russian Federation as of the morning of October 13:

  • personnel - about 668,930 (+1300) people,

  • tanks - 8971 (+9),

  • combat armored vehicles - 17,876 (+49),

  • artillery systems - 19,410 (+29),

  • MLRS - 1231 (+1),

  • air defense systems - 978 (+2),

  • aircraft - 369 (+0),

  • helicopters - 329 (+0),

  • Operational-tactical level UAVs - 16,992 (+45),

  • cruise missiles - 2619 (+0),

  • ships/boats - 28 (+0),

  • submarines - 1 (+0),

  • automotive equipment and tank trucks - 26,584 (+71),

  • special equipment - 3435 (+1).

05:47 The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports that the Ukrainian Armed Forces likely shot down a Russian Su-34 fighter jet from an American F-16. Experts analyzed statements from Russian military publics on October 12, which reported that a Ukrainian F-16 allegedly shot down a Russian Su-34 fighter jet when it was dropping bombs at a distance of about 50 km from the front line. At the same time, ISW notes that they cannot independently confirm such statements. "However, if this is confirmed, the incident will be the first Ukrainian shootdown of a Russian manned aircraft from an F-16 fighter provided by the West," the ISW report says.

Spain finds out Christopher Columbus was a Sephardic Jew
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
]Regnum] The famous navigator Christopher Columbus was a Sephardic Jew, according to scientists from the University of Granada in Spain. Their conclusion is based on DNA analysis of the traveler and his son Hernando, reports the Spanish TV channel RTVE.

The documentary "Columbus, DNA. His True Origins", presented by the channel on October 12, tells about the study of the remains of Columbus, kept in the Seville Cathedral. For 22 years, they were studied by specialists under the direction of forensic expert and university professor Jose Antonio Lorente.

"After studying hundreds of bones and documents, it can be said that Christopher Columbus was Jewish," the channel said in a publication about the documentary.
You’re welcome.
Genetic evidence suggests that Columbus was born in Mediterranean Spain among Sephardim, a sub-ethnic group of Jews who formed on the Iberian Peninsula through migration. Traits consistent with Jewish ancestry were found in the male Y chromosome and in the maternal mitochondrial DNA of the explorer's son, Hernando, Lorente explained.

According to him, it is safe to say that Columbus was born in Western Europe.

According to the most common version, Columbus was born in Genoa, Italy. Some associate his origins with Poland or Spain, and there are also suggestions that he was Scottish, Catalan, or Jewish.
Some have even claimed Basque.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, earlier scientists confirmed that the remains in the Seville Cathedral belong to Columbus, who died in 1506. Doubts about their identity were due to the fact that the navigator's body was transported from place to place more than once. For identification, scientists used the remains of the navigator's son Hernando and brother Diego, buried in the same cathedral.

He was Jewish, too, NN2N1. ;-) But we’re happy to share.

You think o'Chris would have gotten one silver coin from Isabela if he didn't go to Mass?

I’m sure he went to mass, Procopius2k. 1492 was the year of the Expulsion, when the Jews were required to convert or leave Spain following the completion of the Reconquista and a century of massacres against the Jews for various reasons. Quite a few left — north into Europe, especially Amsterdam, and south into Moslem North Africa, as far as Egypt. From Amsterdam a group went with the Dutch to populate New Amsterdam. Of those that stayed, some had converted quite sincerely. Others continued to practice their faith in secret, and it was to ferret those out that the Inquisition was set on them. There are still family lines, in Spain and in the Americas, that have a tradition of family dinners on Friday night, that don’t eat pork, and so on. There have been articles about DNA studies done on some of them, and they turn out to have forgotten Jewish ancestry.

Thousands of Islamists gathered tonight in Hamburg to demand the introduction of Sharia law in Germany
[PUBLISH.TWITTER]

Update from the Jerusalem Post at 6:30 PM ET:
Over 2000 radical Islamists gathered in Hamburg, Germany, on Saturday to call for a caliphate and the implementation of Sharia law, German news reported.

In the footage from the gathering, crowds could be heard chanting Allahu Akhbar, among other things.

The demonstration was organized by a group called Muslim Interaktiv, which is considered by German security and intelligence to be affiliated with Hizbut Tahrir
...an al-Qaeda recruiting organization banned in most countries. It calls for the reestablishment of the Caliphate...
, an organization banned in 2003 for promoting the killing of Jews.

Muslim Interaktiv has been classified as extremist by the Hamburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution, according to Tagesspiegel.

The group, founded in 2020, is led by Joe Adade Boateng, also known as Raheem Boateng, who spoke at the demonstration. Hamburg recently prohibited Boateng from working as a teacher due to his ties to Islamism, according to BILD.

In a post about the event on the group's Instagram, it was written, "The colonial order that can only be overcome by a rightfully guided caliphate – a caliphate that will once again allow Jews, Christians, and Muslims to live peacefully together."

"Caliphate - the end of occupation, extermination, genocide."

19:17 Rocket hit at the Limanskoye airfield

– At night, high-precision weapons struck the Limanskoye airfield in the Odessa region, which is located in the western part of Ukraine near Transnistria.

– Surveillance cameras recorded one landing on the territory of the military base. The target of the strike was objects located at the airfield, as well as those stored in hangars.

- Limanske is one of the main launch sites for Ukrainian drones that the enemy launches in the direction of the Crimean Peninsula. UAVs are also assembled there. The distance from Odessa, which is often subjected to strikes by the Russian Armed Forces, and a convenient runway made the facility ideally suited for these purposes. At least a third of all UAVs launched took off from Limanske.

– Another reason for the strikes on Limanskoye is the proximity to railway lines, including from Moldova. The railway flow through Tarutino and Zatoka to Odessa and from there to other regions has been functioning for almost a year.

– Fuel, various parts and equipment, including for drone assembly, are delivered to Ukraine via Moldova. Similar workshops were at the airfields in Artsyz, Belgorod-Dnistrovsky and Limansky.

Vrem'yevskoye direction: liberation of Levandnoye.

- After successful actions on the neighboring section of the front and the liberation of Ugledar, Russian troops went on the offensive in the Vremyevsk direction. The situation in this area after the completion of the cleansing in Staromayorskoye and Urozhaynoye in recent weeks was characterized by positional battles.

– Last summer, the Russian Armed Forces retreated from Levadnoye during the enemy counteroffensive and consolidated their positions several kilometers south of the village. Now, the Baltic Fleet naval Infantry from the assault detachment of the 336th Separate Naval Infantry Brigade have made a breakthrough and completely dislodged the enemy from the settlement.

– The enemy’s resources have disseminated information that motorized rifle units of the Russian Armed Forces participated in the attack, and that their successful actions were due to the low readiness of Ukrainian formations to repel attacks.

– Footage of current control has appeared on the Internet, recording a significant advance of Russian fighters to the north. The relevance of the materials was confirmed by our sources on the ground; at the moment, the flag has been hoisted on the north-eastern outskirts of Levandnoye.

– There are also reports of the Russian Armed Forces advancing in the direction of Novodarovka, located to the northeast. Here, the Russian army has the opportunity to advance along the highway connecting the village with the Russian Priyutnoye. A 2S22 Bogdana self-propelled gun was hit in the Novodarovka area.

– On the right flank of the direction, there is currently a lull north of Staromayorsky and Urozhayny, where earlier a sapper unit of the Russian Armed Forces blew up a bridge near Makarovka, and attack aircraft expanded the control zone on the left bank of the Mokrye Yaly River.

17:21 According to Ukrainian sources, Russian troops launched an offensive in the Berdyansk direction.

The Ukrainian side reports the loss of a number of strongholds. According to them, Russian troops are regrouping and preparing for further action. It is important to note that the Ukrainian Armed Forces receive support from the United States in the form of intelligence information. Also, numerous mercenaries from different countries of the world with combat experience are fighting on the Ukrainian side.

16:44 The Russian Armed Forces have expanded the control zone north of the settlement of Vodyanoye –map.

We continue to expand the control zone north of Ugledar in the direction of Bogoyavlenka and Katerynivka. After reaching this line, Ugledar will gradually begin to turn into a frontline city. Now the enemy retains the ability to shell it with artillery and attack it with drones.

16:11 Regarding Levandny.

Today the enemy's resources confirmed the loss of the village of Levadnoye on the Vrem'yevskiy salient, as well as the strongholds near it. According to statements from enemy resources, they were expecting our attack to be prepared, but they were negligent in their counteraction, which resulted in the rapid loss of positions for which the Ukrainian Armed Forces paid a heavy price in the summer of 2023. Our sources today also confirm the occupation of Levadnoye.

15:46 The crew of the Su-34 carried out a strike on a stronghold and a concentration of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel in the border area of the Kursk region –video.

The strike was carried out using aerial bombs with a universal planning and correction module.

15:25 Mikhaylovka. Selidovo district.

Our fighters are on their way. They report about taking fire control over the road leading from Mikhaylovka to Selidovo. Our 120mm mortars and tanks are working. The advance of the Russian army continues.

14:47 Selidovo – Tsukurino.

Consequences of military operations in the Selidovo area. The Russian Armed Forces are installing Russian Federation flags in the western part of Tsukurino, confirming the confident control of the residential part of the settlement by the Russian Armed Forces. The Russian Armed Forces are advancing 1.5 km in the western direction on the southern outreach of Selidovo.

14:21 Paratroopers of the 98th Airborne Division destroyed the airborne vehicles of Ukrainian UAV operators in the Kursk direction –video.

During aerial reconnaissance, a UAV operator discovered a temporary deployment point for Ukrainian Armed Forces fpv drone operators in a house in the border area of Kursk Oblast. Our drone operators raised kamikaze drones to deliver fire damage. As a result, the fpv drone was destroyed.

13:51 They report, that Lyubimovka and Tolsty Lug in the Kursk region came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. Fighting also continues near Novoivanovka.

13:17 Kremennaya – Terny.

Positional military operations in the Kremennaya area. The Russian Armed Forces expanded the controlled territory in the northern part of the Torsky salient, advancing up to one km in the direction of Terny. The forward position of the Russian Armed Forces was fired upon from a Ukrainian drone.

12:09 Su-25 crews disrupted the rotation of Ukrainian Armed Forces units in the border area of the Kursk region –video.

The attack was carried out using aircraft missiles against reconnaissance targets.

11:55 Sumy region.

Another wave of strikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces. Tactical aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces reveals enemy positions for precision strikes. Several explosions were reported.

11:18 In the Belgorod region, two self-defense forces fighters were injured when a drone struck a moving car in the village of Petrovka, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported.

"The men with barotraumas and various shrapnel wounds went to the Oktyabrskaya District Hospital on their own. Doctors provided them with all the necessary assistance. The victims will be transferred to the regional clinical hospital for further treatment," it is said in the message.

10:15 Frontline summary in the morning.

- Zaporizhzhya Front. There are reports of the Russian Armed Forces advancing in the area of the settlement of Levadnoye.

– Donetsk Front. The Russian Armed Forces continue to develop the offensive towards Katerinovka and Bogoyavlenovka. In the Selidovo area, our troops are also making steady advances, both on the flanks, where the Russian Armed Forces are trying to take the most advantageous positions, and on the outskirts of the settlement. Heavy urban fighting continues in Dzerzhinsk, but despite fierce resistance, Russian troops are also making steady advances here. (Fig. 2)

- Chasovoyarsk direction. No significant changes in LBS. Local battles continue.

– Kursk region. This night, the Russian Armed Forces began an active fire strike with long-range weapons against the positions of Ukrainian troops in the Sudzhansky district. Most likely, in the next few days, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be forced to leave a number of territories in this area. In the Korenevsky district, fighting continues on the outskirts of Ol'govka, and although Russian troops entered the settlement from both sides, pushing the enemy back to the center, it is too early to talk about complete liberation – a number of positions continue to remain under the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

But we can say with confidence that this will not last long. In the Glushkovsky district, there are no significant changes. No attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to advance deep into our territory have been recorded, however, it is too early to say that they will not be undertaken again.

09:36 UAV crews of the Sever group of troops in the border area of the Kursk region carry out reconnaissance, adjust artillery fire, conduct video recording of fire damage to targets, and also destroy combat equipment and enemy manpower –video.

09:14 Advance of the Russian army. n.p. Zhelannoe 1. Zhelannoe 2 –map.

Since yesterday evening, our motorized riflemen and armored vehicles have managed to advance in the direction of Zhelanny 2 and capture several dugouts and a stronghold of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Judge Drops Two Criminal Counts Against Trump In Georgia Election Case
[FORBES] Fulton County Judge Scott McAfee ruled state prosecutors lacked the authority to bring one count of filing false documents and one count of conspiring to file false documents against Trump, CNN
...formerly the Cable News Network, now who know what it might stand for...
reported.

Trump's initial 13 charges have now been reduced to eight, which include his racketeering charge, conspiring to impersonate a public officer and conspiring to commit forgery in the first degree.

The election interference case has been slowed by an appeal from Trump and co-defendants challenging Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis' role as the leading prosecutor in the case.

Trump lawyer Steve Sadow in a tweet characterized the dropped charges as a win for Trump and his legal team.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Case against Israelis suspected of murdering October 7th terrorist expected to close
[IsraelNationalNews] Roy Yifrah, who was accused of impersonating a soldier and police officer and stealing a firearm, ammunition, and police and military equipment from the combat zones in Gaza, was convicted as part of a plea bargain with only charges of illegal possession of a firearm and not with impersonation or theft.

The prosecution asked to sentence him to 18 months in prison. The indictment was changed and the only charge that remained was illegal possession of a firearm.

The prosecutor said that the punishment reported for Roy was disproportionate, but considering the fact that he assisted the security forces, they lowered the sentence.

After the hearing, Yifrah wept and stated: "They needed to treat this case gently, not only did they present me as a crook, thief, and liar the entire time, they arrested me like a terrorist as part of the Nukhba murder case. I'm embarrassed that I was there for the state and it wasn't there for me. I really can't regret something I didn't do, I do take full responsibility for the crime."

He added: "Until today I have been receiving abnormal treatment. My prison conditions are also especially bad because of the crime I was being accused of."

Yifrah is also suspected of unlawfully killing a Hamas terrorist on October 7th after a video surfaced of him hitting a tied-up terrorist who was later found dead.

According to a report by Kan News, the murder case against all those involved, including Yifrah, is expected to be closed due to evidential difficulties and an understanding of the extreme abnormality of the events of October 7th.

Hezbollah's drone attack near Binyamina kills four soldiers, wounds seven
[JPost] Smack em harder
Two drones were launched toward Israel, but one of the UAVs penetrated deep into Israel, crashing in the Binyamina area. No alarms were activated.

Four IDF soldiers were killed and another seven were seriously wounded in Hezbollah's drone attack targeting a military base near Binyamina, the IDF reported on Sunday night.

All wounded soldiers were evacuated to hospitals for further medical treatment, and notifications were sent to the families of both dead and wounded.

The IDF noted that the incident is under investigation.

A Hezbollah drone struck the Binyamina area on Sunday evening, wounding around 67 people, with four potentially mortally wounded, according to Magen David Adom and the IDF.

The drone was sent from Lebanon under the cover of a Hezbollah rocket barrage.

Two drones were launched toward Israel, with one shot down over sea, but one of the drones penetrated deep into Israel, crashing in the Binyamina area. No warning sirens were activated, which the IDF will be probing.

Later, Army Radio reported the following updates:

"New details have emerged from the preliminary investigation into the drone strike in the Wadi Ara area:

The Air Force is investigating whether the drone that triggered alarms in the Nahariya and Acre area at 6:45 PM is the same one that exploded in Wadi Ara about half an hour later, around 7:15 PM. Since contact with the drone was lost after it crossed over Nahariya and Acre, there's a possibility it's the same device. Hezbollah reportedly launched 'two or three drones simultaneously' during the incident. One of them was intercepted by the Navy over the sea.

Contrary to earlier reports, the drone was not detected by detection systems, did not trigger any alarms, and no interception attempts were made."The alarm that sounded at 7:00 PM in Talmei Elazar, near the impact site, was unrelated to the drone incident and was caused by the interception of a ballistic missile launched from Lebanon at the time."

MDA reported that four people were critically wounded, five were seriously wounded, and 14 were moderately wounded.

#4  drones are more difficult to detect than heavy missiles

what is worse is that they can be moved around easily and it is more difficult to wipe them out on the ground

Hezbollah has, supposedly, a considerable missile force still which contains their most powerful and accurate missiles but they haven't used them perhaps because once they do, there is no more intimidation from having them

Who comes to Odessa?
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Text taken from the telegram channel of @PapaKottt

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin is in italics.

[ColonelCassad] Analytical material on dry cargo ships calling at Odessa ports.

The cost of insurance for ships heading to Ukrainian ports has skyrocketed. Oh, what happened?

Bloomberg reports that over the past week, insurance for ships passing through Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea has risen significantly. Now it exceeds 1% of the value of the ship. For a ship worth $ 50 million, this means an additional $ 125,000 per voyage. All this is not without reason, because recently the Russian Aerospace Forces have been striking Odessa ports when ships call there to unload, after the strikes both the port infrastructure and the ships themselves are destroyed.

"We hear that civilian ships, like the cargo in them, detonate like real ammunition, but perhaps it is just incendiary grain there.

From the very beginning of the grain deal, I said that they carry weapons and strike from these ships (UAVs and missiles, then remove the guides for the missiles from the deck).

B 6 cargo ships approached Odessa roadstead (they are marked with green triangles on the explication).

About the route: from the port of Burgas (Bulgaria) to the port of Odessa (Ukraine).

The vessel ANNABELLA (IMO: 8919788) is a general purpose cargo vessel and flies the flag of Comoros. Its length overall (LOA) is 122.6 meters, and its width is 21.5 meters.

AMIRA SARA (IMO: 9691503) is a dry cargo vessel sailing under the flag of Barbados. Its length overall (LOA) is 169.37 meters, and its width is 27.2 meters.

The vessel ZELEK STAR (IMO: 9379117) is a general purpose cargo vessel and flies the flag of Panama. Its overall length (LOA) is 90 meters, and its width is 14 meters.

We can assume that throughout the SVO, from its very beginning, Ukrainian ports received weapons for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, delivered under different flags, by civilian cargo ships. In addition, these ships could be used to strike Crimea and Sevastopol - UAVs, unmanned aerial vehicles and missile weapons.

And what did they bring? ",

The only strange thing here is that they began to sink them only relatively recently. Something has changed in the approaches.

India''s Lawrence Bishnoi gang claims responsibility for Baba Siddique''s assassination
[GEO.TV] India's notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang has grabbed credit for the liquidation of former minister and member of the Ajit Pawar faction of the NCP, Baba Siddique, it emerged on Sunday.

Baba, 66, was bumped off outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Mumbai's Bandra East last night.

Police believe three shooters were involved in the ex-minister's murder. According to Indian media, two of the suspects — Gurmail Baljit Singh, 23, from Haryana and Dharamraj Kashyap, 19, from Uttar Pradesh — have been arrested.

Hours after the horrific incident, Bishnoi gang grabbed credit for the murder through a social media post.

Police and other security agencies were investigating the post, reportedly linked to a Facebook account belonging to Shubuu Lonkar, who, sources suggest, may actually be Shubham Rameshwar Lonkar — an associate of the Bishnoi gang.

It is pertinent to mention here that Lonkar was taken into custody earlier this year from Maharashtra's Akola for possession of illegal weapons and is believed to have strong connections with the Bishnoi network.

During police interrogation, Lonkar admitted that he was in contact with Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence's brother.

19 dead from Israeli strikes in Gaza as forces invade north
[GEO.TV] Israeli military strikes on Gaza overnight killed at least 19 Palestinians, medics said on Saturday, while forces continued to push deeper into the Jabalia area, where international relief agencies say thousands of people are trapped.

Residents said Israeli forces continued to pound Jabalia, which is in the north of the enclave and is the largest of the enclave's historic refugee camps, from the air and ground.
The IDF warned them to get out and head for the safe zones in the south. Hamas ordered them to stay put. At least 200,000 left. Those remaining get to enjoy war as human shields, the result of their choice to stay.

Palestinians report several dead in strike on hospital compound in Deir Al-Balah

[IsraelTimes] Palestinians in Gaza report several people were killed and dozens more were wounded in an Israeli strike that hit tents of displaced Palestinians inside Al-Aqsa Hospital in the central Gaza city of Deir Al-Balah.

Footage circulated on social media, which could not immediately be verified, shows several tents were set ablaze as some Palestinians tried helplessly to put out the fire.
Photo can be seen at the link.
The IDF says that it struck terrorists operating from a command center inside the compound and accused Hamas of hiding among civilians and using facilities such as hospitals for terror operations.

Even without the Muslim Brotherhood networks of influence like Islamophobia Register Australia

This kind of thing is going to cut off support for israel. This is going to have to end quickly.

Israel is going to need to get a resettlement deal with Jordan and Egypt FAST and move these people out

We tolerate it because we know hamas has to go.

But really we are still here with the same problem - you are going to have to move the Arab Muslims of Gaza into Jordan or Egypt because you can’t kill them all and they are not coming here.

Perhaps qatar might take them also being Muslim Brotherhood with a US base

But Israel cannot occupy Gaza again it is too hard, you cant kill them all so you are going to have to move them. Get negotiating for full citizenship in Jordan and Egypt and Qatar for these people and move them out or Israel really will be destroyed

#16 Israel’s score with Iran is right this minute — every day they do something more to try to destroy Israel because they object to Jews ruling themselves.

America’s score with Iran should be right this minute, because Iran has been working full tilt to refine enough uranium to make a lot of nuclear bombs that they intend to use on Israel, Saudi Arabia, and America in order to establish the Shiite Moslem caliphate they’ve been working toward since they overthrew the Shah in the late 1970s. Donald Trump got that. President Obama thought it was just peachy that Iran developed nukes, because he thought of Iran as civilized Persians, just as he thought of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt as “moderate Moslems”. He assumed that Moslem rule over the world was inevitable, and better that the moderate Moslems take over than Al Qaeda or ISIS… not realizing that in the end it would be no different whatsoever. President Biden’s goal was to finish what Obama had started — in all things including this — and as future president Kamala Harris does not think at all.

Many of the sleeper agents came here decades ago, legally or not, and got American citizenship. This problem long precedes Noe Biden opening wide the border.

Part of Hamas’s leadership is in Qatar. At the moment even more is in Istanbul, where President Erdogan cherishes them to his bosom.

That is not graphic footage of Gazans burning alive, but once again of Hamas storing munitions and command &control centers inside and underneath what should be civilian locations — hospitals, schools, and mosques — and the civilians they have collected around those locations as human shields. The Geneva Conventions specifically state that when harm comes to human shields, those hiding behind them are to blame.

”People” choose not to believe that their beloved Hamas could be so vicious, merely for propaganda wins… merely because those stupid, gullible people look for any excuse to hate Jews.

Anon1, you know I adore you. But your starting place each time is believing the vile propaganda. Why? A better question to ask is: they’re saying these awful things, is it possible they’re lying, since each time before it was shown to be a lie?

Boris Johnson is trying to shirk responsibility
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin.

[ColonelCassad] Boris Johnson refuses to take responsibility for the fact that the war did not end in March-April 2022, although it is well known from several Ukrainian and Western sources that it was Johnson who insisted that peace was not needed and said "Let's fight".

And everything suited Johnson in 2022 and even in 2023, when the West seriously hoped first for an economic, and then a military defeat of Russia.

But now the situation is different - it was not possible to isolate Russia diplomatically (the upcoming BRICS summit in Kazan will once again confirm this), it was not possible to destroy the Russian economy (Russia restructured its energy supplies and maintained GDP growth against the backdrop of growth problems in Europe), and at the front, Russia firmly holds the operational and strategic initiative and methodically recaptures territory and populated areas.

And the question of responsibility arises for the fact that everything came here. Everything is clear with the cocaine Fuhrer, they will try to blame everything on him. But Johnson no longer wants to be in this company. Therefore, like a cheapskate, he tries to take back his words and pretend that he had nothing to do with the liquidation of Ukraine within its former borders and the hundreds of thousands of murdered citizens of the former Ukraine.

The Grand Turk
The most experienced politician
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Commentary by Russian military journalist Boris Rozhin.

[ColonelCassad] There have been rumors in Turkey that Erdogan should be left for another term.

One of Erdogan's main advisers, Mehmet Ucum, said on the air of Habertürk TV that Erdogan is the most experienced and influential leader in world politics and that he believes that the way should be opened for Erdogan's candidacy to be nominated for another 5-year term so that Turkey can benefit from his experience. Ucum emphasized that this is his personal opinion.

He also added that there will be no early elections until 2028.

The Overton window has been opened a little. Erdogan previously stated that this is his last term. But how can one refuse such a wonderful person?!

In general, I would not be very surprised by a situation where Erdogan extends his term until the early 30s, if, of course, his health allows it.

7-Eleven shutting down nearly 450 stores across North America for underperforming
[FOXBUSINESS] Nearly 450 7-Eleven stores across North America are closing for underperforming, according to the company.

Seven & I Holdings, 7-Eleven's Japan-based parent company, announced in an earnings report Thursday that 444 7-Eleven stores are closing because of a dip in sales, particularly cigarette sales, as well as decreased traffic and inflation.

A list of which stores will be closing was not released.

7-Eleven has 13,000 stores across the U.S. and Canada, which means the closures would only impact 3% of the company's portfolio.

The convenience store chain has faced six consecutive months of traffic declines, including a 7.3% dip in August.

"The North American economy remained robust overall thanks to the consumption of high-income earners, despite a persistently inflationary, elevated interest rate and deteriorating employment environment," Seven & I Holdings said in an earnings release. "In this context, there was a more prudent approach to consumption, particularly among middle- and low-income earners."

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Shootings of children in Gaza
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Text taken from a New York Times news article.

Commentary by Russian military journalist is In italics.

[ColonelCassad] I worked as a trauma surgeon in Gaza from March 25 to April 8. I’d volunteered in Ukraine and Haiti, and I’d grown up in Flint, Michigan. I’d seen violence and worked in conflict zones. But of the many things that stood out about working at a hospital in Gaza, one stuck out to me: Almost every day I was there, I saw a new small child who had been shot in the head or chest, almost all of whom later died. Thirteen in all.
This is what happens to human shields when those being shielded start a truly vicious war. If you don’t like the result, blame Hamas for holding those holding those children and their families in vulnerable positions instead of letting them escape.
At the time, I assumed it was the work of a particularly sadistic soldier stationed nearby. But when I got home, I met an emergency room doctor who had worked at a different hospital in Gaza two months before me. “I couldn’t believe how many kids I saw shot in the head,” I told him. To my surprise, he replied, “Yeah, me too. Every day.”

A wealth of information about the scale of the destruction in Gaza has come from satellite data, humanitarian organizations, and the Hamas Gaza Ministry of Health. But Israel does not allow journalists or human rights investigators into Gaza, except for a very few embedded reporting trips with the Israeli military, and the stories of Palestinian journalists in Gaza have not been widely read, despite the incredible risks they take to cover events there.

But there is a group of independent observers who have been watching this war on the ground, day after day: medical volunteers.

Through personal contacts in the medical community and a lot of internet searching, I was able to contact American health workers who have served in Gaza since October 7, 2023. Many of them have family or religious ties to the Middle East. Others, like me, do not, but felt compelled to volunteer in Gaza for a variety of reasons.

Using questions based on my own observations and conversations with fellow doctors and nurses, I worked with Times Opinion to interview 65 health workers about what they saw in Gaza. Fifty-seven, including me, were willing to share their experiences on the record. The other eight participated anonymously, either because they had relatives in Gaza or the West Bank or because they feared retaliation in the workplace.

Here’s what we saw.

The 44 doctors, nurses, and paramedics had seen numerous cases of young children shot in the head or chest in the Gaza Strip.

Dr. Mohamad Rasul Abu-Nuwar
General practitioner, bariatric surgeon, and foregut surgeon, 36, Pittsburgh, PA.

“I saw six children, ages 5 to 12, in the emergency room one night over a four-hour period, all of whom had single gunshot wounds to the skull.”

Nina Ng
Emergency nurse, 37, New York City, NY

“Children with gunshot wounds were being treated on the floor, often bleeding to death on the hospital floor due to a lack of space, equipment, staff and support. Many died needlessly.”

Dr. Mark Perlmutter
Orthopedic and hand surgeon, 69, Rocky Mount, NC

“I saw several children who had been shot in the head and chest with high velocity bullets.”

Dr. Irfan Galaria
Plastic and reconstructive surgeon, 48, Chantilly, VA

“Our team treated approximately four or five children, ages 5 to 8, who had been shot in the head with single gunshots. They all arrived at the emergency room at the same time. They all died.”

Rania Afaneh
Paramedic, 23, Savannah, GA

“I saw a child who had been shot in the jaw. No other part of his body was affected. He was fully conscious and aware of what was happening. He looked at me while he was choking on his own blood, which I tried to suck out with a broken suction cup."

Dr. Khawaja Ikram
Orthopedic Surgeon, 53, Dallas, Texas

"One day, while I was in the emergency room, I saw a three-year-old and a five-year-old each with a single bullet hole in their head. When asked what happened, their father and brother said they had been told that Israel was retreating from Khan Yunis. So they went back to see if there was anything left of their house. According to them, there was a sniper waiting there who shot both children."

Dr. Ahliya Kattan
Anesthesiologist and Critical Care Physician, 37, Costa Mesa, California

"I saw an 18-month-old girl with a gunshot wound to the head."

For a rules-based world order, mass targeted killings of children are the norm.It is also worth noting that these Israeli war crimes are carried out with the support of the United States, which has spent tens of billions of dollars to support the genocide in the Gaza Strip.
Bill Maher addressed that kind of thinking the other day:

#1  At least NYT doesn't claim finding palestinian children drained of blood. Yet.
Posted by: Grom the Reflective || 10/14/2024 1:30 Comments || Top||

#2  excellent speech from Bill Maher. He could have added Hamas started the war, and could have ended it any time by surrendering, and didn't. Also Hamas were voted in and are popular in Gaza.

That said - I am troubled by this story of surgeons finding kids shot in the head. I hope that is not the IDF starting to lose their professionalism and give in to hate and sadism.

Wars brutalise people. It's not ok to shoot kids in the head. It's a war crime. If it's accidental, that's different, like when the kid is behind a wall and shots are fired at a combatant, hit the wall, go through and get the kid accidentally. But a head shot sounds deliberate.

These people need to be resettled, you can't kill them all, they're all Hamas so they can't be left there either. They need to be moved to Egypt/Jordan/Qatar permanent resettlement

#4  I am troubled by this story of surgeons finding kids shot in the head.

Of course. That’s why it’s told.

I hope that is not the IDF starting to lose their professionalism and give in to hate and sadism.

That assumes the Jooooos are the ones who did it, if it happened at all, and not Hamas for propaganda purposes.

Which still doesn’t address the fact that Hamas & hangers rampaged through southern Israel on October 7, 2023, posting boasting videos of themselves on Facebook, Twitter, and Telegram kidnapping, torturing, raping, killing, and desecrating the corpses of all they encountered, Jew, Arab, and foreigners alike. Check Rantburg’s archives on that date and the days that followed — we archived it as it happened, along with the excuses given them by those to whom the claimed colonialism of the Jews in their own native land justifies any atrocity against them.

Of course it is the Juice because they are all heinous and icky. No way could this be Hamas trying to influence Gazans by murdering their children in front of them, because the Hamasniks are all brave freedom fighters.

2. Sinwar rose to where he rose to , in part, by killing Palestinians in the presence of the victims’ family members.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Trump assassination attempt at Coachella Valley rally thwarted when man with weapons arrested, Riverside sheriff says — Press Enterprise
[PRESSENTERPRISE] A third liquidation attempt against former President Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
was thwarted on Saturday after a Las Vegas man was arrested with weapons and fake passes about a half mile from Trump's campaign rally in Coachella Valley, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said Sunday.

Deputies assigned to Trump's rally said the driver, Vem Miller, rolled up in a black SUV to a checkpoint at the intersection of Avenue 52 and Celebration Drive around 5 p.m. He was found to be in illegal possession of a shotgun, loaded handgun, and a high-capacity magazine, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department said in a news release.

Bianco told the Southern Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, News Group on Sunday that he believes Miller — who he said is a member of a right—leaning anti-government group — planned to kill Trump and that deputies thwarted the plan when Miller presented fake VIP and press passes at a checkpoint.

''They were different enough to cause the deputies alarm,'' Bianco said. ''We probably stopped another liquidation attempt.''

Miller is a registered Republican who holds a master's degree from UCLA, and who ran for state assembly in Nevada in 2022.

Bianco said Miller considers himself a so-called sovereign citizen, a group of people who do not believe they are subject to any government statutes unless they consent to them.

The Sheriff's Department set up what Bianco called a double perimeter that controlled access within a half mile of the rally. Residents were allowed through, but they were watched to make sure they drove to their neighborhoods and not toward the rally.

Miller was caught at one of those checkpoints.

Bianco said that the last he heard, Miller had not made any statements to Sherlocks.

The sheriff said he is in disbelief.

''I thought it's not going to happen in Riverside County. We don't have the same sicko issues and violent mostly peaceful protests like they have in Los Angeles. We're better than that. Go figure.''

Bianco said U.S. Secret Service officials said his department went ''above and beyond'' in their efforts to protect Trump and others who attended the rally.

''I am extremely proud of the mental and physical effort our deputies showed all day,'' said Bianco, who noted high temperatures in the desert area were near 100 degrees.

Bianco also said the FBI is questioning another man after bomb-detecting dogs ''repeatedly'' identified him as possibly dangerous. That man was not allowed in the rally, Bianco said.

Miller was booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center for possessing a loaded firearm and high-capacity magazine, authorities said. He was released Saturday on $5,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Indio Larson Justice Center on Jan. 2, 2025, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department inmate database.

The Secret Service put out a brief statement saying it was aware of the arrest. ''The incident did not impact protective operations. The Secret Service extends its gratitude to the deputies and local partners who assisted in safeguarding last night's events,'' the agency said.
Only $5000? When Reagan was president a lunatic whose parents lived next door to my parents ... and that son was recently released from a mental institution as "freedom of choice " was so so obvious for the government ... threatened to kill him when he visited Offutt AFB ... was kept locked up for a long time until they just made sure that being locked up until after election was impotant
The Daily Mail has lots of photos of the gentleman with all sorts of Republican luminaries plus a video he made at the Republican National Convention, adding:
According to Sheriff Bianco, he also had multiple passports and drivers licenses with different names in his car.

Deputies noticed that the interior of Miller's vehicle was in 'quite disarray.'

'The vehicle had a an obviously fake license plate, and that prompted further investigation from our deputy into why the person was where... and what he was doing,' said Bianco.

'During that investigation, the deputy eventually found multiple passports with multiple names, multiple driver's license with different names,
…were any of them real, ie. the passports issued by the US State Department, the driver’s licenses issued by the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles, or were they all forged?
the vehicle was unregistered,' he went on.

In addition, he said the license plate was 'homemade.'

He was booked at John Benoit Detention Center, made his $10,000 bail – $5,000 for each of two misdemeanors for which he was charged – and as of Sunday was no longer in custody.
So $10,000 bail, not $5,000. For which he probably had to put up 10% if there was a bail bondsman involved to cover the rest, if I understand correctly.

#2  So the incident, for me, raises a few deeper related questions.

It seems the only reason he was legally arrested, was the Fake VIP ID.

Because possessing a loaded firearm and high-capacity magazine, is NOT crime in NV, an Open Carry state?

See NV Gun Control Laws

Then being a UCLA Grad, a sovereign citizen and registered (R)?

Also, if he was such a threat, why was he released Saturday on just a $5,000 bail?

#8  Possibly why President Trump said there was no assassination attempt — from the Daily Beast:

The man Southern California authorities arrested outside a Donald Trump rally Sunday for allegedly carrying multiple unregistered firearms contradicted a local sheriff who said he was there to kill the former president, calling the idea “bulls--t” while claiming he is a staunch supporter of Trump.

Vem Miller, a 49-year-old resident of Las Vegas, told a reporter with the Southern California News Group that he was invited personally to Trump’s Coachella Valley rally by the head of Clark County’s Republican Party. He also claimed he was wearing a Trump shirt and a MAGA hat while entering the perimeter via a security checkpoint, when he told the officer working the gate that he had firearms in his car as a courtesy.

“These accusations are complete bull---t,” Miller said. “I’m an artist, I’m the last person that would cause any violence and harm to anybody.”

At a press conference following the arrest on Sunday, Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco said Miller passed an initial outer perimeter, but was stopped when a deputy noticed an “obviously fake license plate” as he tried to pass a second checkpoint. The sheriff also said it appeared likely that Miller was a “sovereign citizen”—part of a loosely organized anti-government movement.

He was quickly arrested and charged with possession of a loaded firearm and possession of a high-capacity magazine, the sheriff’s office said in a press release. The arrest happened before the former president arrived at the rally, and “did not impact the safety of former President Trump or attendees of the event,” the release added.

Miller’s license plate was “one that is homemade and indicative of a group of individuals that claim to be sovereign citizens,” Bianco said. The sheriff said the deputies noticed several other “irregularities” with Miller’s car—the interior was in “disarray,” and he was in possession of “multiple” fake passports and fake drivers’ licenses displaying other names.

Miller claimed to be a journalist with VIP access to the rally, Bianco said, but his press pass “didn’t necessarily materialize.”

Bianco also said that Miller’s car wasn’t registered, as sovereign citizens often don’t believe in registering their cars. “We had to go through VIN number,” the sheriff said. “It actually did belong to him, it just was not ever registered.”

Miller was also in possession of several unregistered firearms, including a shotgun and a loaded handgun, as well as a high caliber magazine, the sheriff’s office said. He was booked at the John J. Benoit Detention Center and released on his own recognizance.

Democrats in the US could usurp power by military means, expert says
Direct translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] If Kamala Harris loses the US presidential election, the Democrats could start a third world war to seize power by military means, political scientist and military expert Alexei Leonkov said in a conversation with IA Regnum.
In theory, of course it is possible. I wouldn’t bet actual money on it though. Not with the current shape the US military is in.
On October 13, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he was worried about the next three to four months, a period during which the United States could find itself in a state of global war because of the current government.

"There are concerns that the Democrats, realizing that they are not winning the presidential elections, may go to all lengths. That is, bring the situation in the Middle East to such a state that it will be necessary to introduce martial law on US territory. Well, that is, they will actually try to usurp power through a conflict in the Middle East," Leonkov is sure.

There are alarming trends that point to such a scenario, the expert believes. The current US administration publicly condemns Israel, prohibits something, and behind its back finances and supplies weapons to the army of the Jewish state, the political scientist said.

"The Democrats can play on this conflict. They have done a lot to hold on to power at any cost," the expert said.

Acting as intermediaries and suppliers, the US has chosen a very convenient position for itself, the military expert believes. By sending money and weapons to warring countries, the Americans do not send their armies there, which is extremely important for the population of the States. But Trump points out that the degree of escalation is constantly increasing. This will inevitably lead to a third world war, which is already a negative prospect in the eyes of the Americans, the political scientist said.

Speaking about why Trump is focusing on the next three to four months, Leonkov recalled the procedure for the transfer of power in the United States.

"The three or four months that Trump is talking about are October, November, December and January. The official procedure for the transfer of power will take place in January. If Trump wins the elections that will take place on November 5, he will not be able to govern the country right away. And during this time, anything can be done," the political scientist said.

As an example, the expert recalled the situation that occurred at the end of the Trump administration's term after the presidential elections in 2020.

"It is enough to recall when Trump lost the election to Biden, his administration was still in power, the storming of the Capitol took place. It was provoked by the Democrats, organized by the Democrats themselves. They then tried to use this storming to start a criminal prosecution of Trump. What the representatives of the Democratic Party and their entourage can do fits in perfectly with the logic that Trump follows when making these statements. The words about the third world war are not just pre-election statements, but an opinion that reflects reality," Leonkov summed up.

As previously reported by IA Regnum, back in 2019, the now deceased politician Vladimir Zhirinovsky predicted events in the Middle East, stating that they would make people forget about Ukraine. The former leader of the LDPR specified that it would be a third world war, and also said that there would be no US presidential elections in 2024.

#1  Once again, most military installations lack enough housing for their troops, families, and civilian employees. They live among the community. They have no protection if anyone tried to implement suspension of the Constitution. Further, most installations are dependent upon outside energy sources for gas and electricity. They'll only control what they can occupy and that is a very small footprint. Everything else is 'Injun Country'.

25 Hezbollah launches at Israel from near UNIFIL positions in past month
[IsraelNationalNews] IDF soldiers uncovered weapons stored inside underground compounds located from a few dozen meters up to a few hundred meters from UNIFIL posts situated near the Blue Line.

The IDF revealed on Sunday that over the past month, approximately 25 rockets and missiles have been launched at Israeli communities and IDF troops from Hezbollah’s terrorist compounds embedded near UNIFIL posts in southern Lebanon, exploiting their proximity to UN forces. One of the attacks resulted in the deaths of two IDF soldiers.

According to the IDF, Hezbollah uses compounds located above and below ground to carry out terrorist attacks against the State of Israel.
There’s a cute little map showing locations at the link.
The military noted that during its limited, localized, targeted ground raids based on precise intelligence in southern Lebanon, the troops of the 146th Division located hundreds of weapons, including firearms, grenades, and rocket launchers aimed at Israeli territory. These weapons were stored inside underground compounds located from a few dozen meters up to a few hundred meters from UNIFIL posts situated near the Blue Line.

"UNIFIL in southern Lebanon was deployed to implement UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and prevent the presence of Hezbollah armed operatives south of the Litani River. However, both the State of Lebanon and the international community have failed to implement Resolution 1701, despite repeated requests to do so," the IDF stated.

"For years, Hezbollah has embedded itself in southern Lebanon in grave violation of UN Security Council resolutions. The organization has stockpiled large quantities of weapons aimed at Israeli civilians over the years and has deliberately built up its attack infrastructure near UNIFIL posts," it added.

The IDF stressed that its targeted raids are only directed against Hezbollah, and the troops’ activities are not directed at UNIFIL posts, forces, or infrastructure. On Thursday, September 30th, prior to the start of the operation, IDF representatives submitted a request to the organization to move its personnel away from posts located within five kilometers of the Blue Line, as this area would become an active combat zone.

The IDF noted that it maintains continuous communication with UNIFIL to avoid, as much as possible, any harm to UNIFIL personnel in the area and will continue to do so, despite the complexities of the UNIFIL's presence inside the combat zone.

#3  Drones, yes. But those drones did not kill anyone, Dale. Almost exclusively they are knocked down by Israeli defenses or hit open fields. The people they were intended to kill have been living in hotels in central Israel for almost a year, waiting for Hezbollah to be cleared out so they can go back to their farms and wineries. (The Rothschilds planted French vines there over a century ago — the wines are well known among those who drink kosher wines.)

I suppose that is why it is a no show in Ukraine. It was my understanding Iran has and will use supersonic. Unstoppable. Then Israel has a complete lock down on information. The last thing they want is for them to look bad militarily. So information will get out eventually.

Chinese Navy detachment sails into Pacific Ocean near Taiwan
Direct translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] A detachment of ships of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy (PLA) passed into the Pacific Ocean through the Bashi Strait near the territory of Taiwan, the Taiwanese Defense Ministry reported.

"Chinese naval vessels led by the aircraft carrier Liaoning passed through the waters near the Bashi Strait and continued moving towards the western Pacific Ocean," the post noted.

It is specified that the Taiwanese Armed Forces monitored the situation and responded accordingly.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on July 27, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said at a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken that Taiwan was and remains part of China and will never be a “separate state.” He stressed that Beijing will definitely take countermeasures when the forces supporting Taiwan in its desire to separate commit provocations.

On July 12, Beijing imposed sanctions on a number of American military-industrial companies selling weapons to Taiwan. The Chinese Foreign Ministry also accused Washington of seriously interfering in China's internal affairs and damaging its territorial integrity.

US President Joe Biden on June 4 allowed the possibility of sending US troops to Taiwan, which he said could happen if China "uses force" against the island.

Catherine Herridge: US Troops exposed to radio-actives and other junk after an attack from Iran
[Trending Politics ]
Head to story at the title link
Journalist Catherine Herridge is reporting that newly leaked military memos reveal United States military members were exposed to several toxic agents, which include radioactive materials, after Iran launched a ballistic missile attack on their base in January 2020. Along with this, Herridge is also reporting that a retired Army JAG is claiming that courts and the Justice Department have now “sided with Iran,” and that service members injured in the attack have been blocked from suing Iran.

The article, published by the U.K.’s Daily Mail, goes on to state that as of this writing, neither President Joe Biden’s administration nor anyone else has publicly acknowledged that U.S. soldiers were put at risk by exposure to radioactive fallout. The attack on the Al Asad base was in retaliation for former President Donald Trump issuing a strike on Jan. 3, 2020, that killed top-ranking Islamic Revolutionary Guard member General Qassem Soleimani. A total of 11 warheads, each one weighing close to 1,600 lbs, hit the air base.

“Iran’s attack on Al Asad was launched in retaliation for the US strike, ordered by former President Donald Trump on January 3, 2020, that killed top Islamic Revolutionary Guard General Qassem Soleimani. Alan Johnson, a retired flight surgeon, who was stationed at Al Asad at the time of the strike, told me, ‘None of us really should have survived and we weren’t expected to survive,'” Herridge wrote.

‘The amount of percussive force that travels through your body, you can’t really put words to that,’ Johnson went on to say before detailing how one of the missiles detonated just 60 feet from a bunker where he had taken shelter.

‘If you fell off [a] fourth-story roof onto your back and survived, that’s probably what it felt like… I was knocked unconscious twice from two different impacts,’ he further elaborated.

“I first reported on the Al Asad attack in 2021 while working at CBS News. Then, our investigation revealed that dozens of service members with traumatic brain injuries from the strike were not immediately recognized with the ‘Purple Heart’ – a military decoration awarded to those wounded or killed while serving,” Herridge continued in her report. “After our report, the Army quickly moved to retroactively approve the awards. Three years later, I have confirmed that some of the same injured service members, now in their 20s and early 30s, are sick – and that they attribute their illnesses to exposure to fallout from Iran’s strike.”

There is also evidence, which includes samples of soil, and Army reports that provide credence for their suspicions. Herridge stated that there is an official Army memorandum that is dated April 28, 2021, that was handed out to service members who were at Al Asad airbase during the Iranian missile attack. There were other memos put out into circulation with the title: “Exposure to Hazardous and Toxic Materials.”

Part of the document, two pages in length, reads, ‘Purpose: To identify and record exposure to hazardous and toxic material for all assigned or attached to [U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command] while forward deployed to Al Asad Air Base, Iraq (AAAB) from 15 JAN 2020 to 13 FEB 2020.’ Herridge says that members of military personnel who received the memo were then told they needed to keep the document in case they experienced an illness later down the road.

“These official Army memos provide service members with proof of exposure to toxic materials and can facilitate what’s known as a ‘service connection.’ Verification of ‘service connection’ enables a soldier to receive financial and medical benefits for illness or injury,” Herridge wrote in the article. “On the second page of the memo is a chart labeled ‘Soil Sample results from ’15 JAN 2020.’ The January 15 date confirms that the soil sample was taken by US Army investigators seven days after Iran’s attack.”

The chart reveals 19 materials, some of which are radioactive elements and heavy metals, all detected in the sample. Other records have revealed the soil sample was collected near the impact site of a missile that has been labeled “missile 6” by investigators. Drone footage captured of the attack by U.S. Central Command, says that “missile 6” is one of the warheads that had a very large heat signature, one of the largest, that was used in the strike on the base.

Herridge revealed, “At my request, four independent environmental specialists reviewed the records, most have experience analyzing military records and conducting toxic exposure evaluations of military sites. Two of the specialists, who spoke on background citing the sensitivity of the subject, raised concerns about radioactive elements, including Actinium-228, Bismuth-214 and Cesium-137, saying they seemed ‘out of place’ at the site of a conventional explosion.”

Later in the report, Herridge says that a spokesman for the Army stated the materials involved in the assault on Al Asad airbase were not of a high enough level to cause any threat to the soldiers’ health. ‘No hazards or chemicals were found to exceed Military Exposure Guidelines… [and] no elevated risk was identified. Therefore, no active personnel monitoring was deemed necessary,’ the spokesman’s statement read. For many members of the military, the assurance offered in the statement is lacking.

“Retired Army Judge Advocate General, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Broadbent is now representing 183 plaintiffs — who include the former soldiers and their families — in a sweeping court case. Broadbent recently retired after 23 years of military service representing the legal interests of the Army and its soldiers. He told me, ‘We’re going to have another Agent Orange situation,'” Herridge wrote in the report.

For those who may not know, Agent Orange was used during the Vietnam War by our military in order to clear away brush and other vegetation that served as shelter for the Viet Cong. It eventually was connected to various health conditions such cancer, heart disease, and even Parkinson’s.”Ten years down the road, these service members are going to be out [of the military] and they’re going to be dying and they’re not going to be cared for,” Broadbent stated. He then said that he wants to see Iran held accountable for the assault on the base, though it has been a struggle to make that happen.
I can imagine.
“Earlier this year, a federal court broke with long-standing precedent and dismissed his lawsuit, Hansen V. Islamic Republic of Iran. Broadbent believes that these soldiers are still due their day in court – and is calling on Congress to amend the Foreign Sovereign Immunities Act and allow their lawsuit to go forward. Broadbent said Congress can add one word to the legislation to make clear that nation-states are still liable for attacks, such as the strike on Al Asad. Iran’s intent was to kill service members, but miraculously all the soldiers survived,” Herridge said.

Red stars over tiled roofs. Who helped in the denazification of Riga
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Andrey Zvorykin

[REGNUM] "Today, October 13, the front troops stormed the capital of the Latvian SSR - Riga.
Is that how they referred to themselves before the Soviet tanks arrived? Or was it that thereafter they thought themselves twice conquered by socialism — first the national socialism of the Germans, then the international socialism of the Russians, and both doing their best to erase all that was truly Latvian?
Today at dawn the storming of the city began.

The first to break into Riga were the soldiers of the rifle regiment under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Voloshenko... The soldiers, sergeants and officers demonstrated exceptional skills and courage. The first flag over Riga was raised by the Order-bearer Sergeant Major Alexander Popov.

The population – workers, the urban poor, and civil servants and intellectuals – greeted our troops with great joy and sincere love.”
Of course. How else would they greet those who entered with tanks and machine guns, barrels still hot from firing at their former overlords, driving through their city on the way to conquer Nazi Berlin?
This is exactly 80 years ago that Major General Aleksei Lobachev, member of the military council of the 3rd Baltic Front, reported to the head of the Main Political Directorate of the Red Army, Colonel General Aleksandr Shcherbakov .

By the evening of October 13, 1944, our soldiers had cleared the city blocks along the right bank of the Daugava - Western Dvina of fascists. By October 15, Riga was completely liberated. But already on the 13th, judging by Lobachev's report, portraits of Soviet leaders and badges with images of Voroshilov and Kalinin that had been preserved since 1941 appeared on sale in the remaining stores.

The people of Riga did not offer any “resistance to the Soviet occupation” that modern Latvian politicians could be proud of.

Those who chose “collaboration” with the real – Nazi – occupiers tried to join the tail of the German columns hastily retreating to the Courland coast.

This flight from the “ancient capital of the Hanseatic knights” was vividly described in his memoirs by Wehrmacht Oberleutnant Gottlob Biedermann, whose unit covered the retreat from Riga. The infantryman, who survived the battles for Kiev, Sevastopol, Riga and the Courland pocket, was lucky. He died peacefully in 2010, and published his memoirs in the mid-nineties. It is clear that even after 60 years, the image of the Germans fleeing from the “old lands of the Order” was vividly before his eyes:

"The air was filled with the roar of weary and maddened herds of cattle as they were driven westward across the cobblestone streets of Riga. The ominous sight of Russian attack aircraft became a permanent feature of our dreadful situation as they thundered over the tiled roofs, displaying the clear five-pointed red star on their silver-gleaming fuselages."

Operation Thunder, an organized retreat to the west, as Biderman recalled, ended “ominously” or, to put it simply, failed.

The fact that it took the Red Army another couple of days to capture Riga, and that some of the German manpower and equipment were taken away, can only be explained by the resourcefulness of a single demolition expert.

"While the sun was breaking through the dense gray horizon, an officer from the sapper unit turned the handle of the explosive device connected to the explosive charges in the Dvina Bridge. A giant fireball rose into the sky above the river, and a colossal explosion was heard, from which the bridge eventually collapsed into the Dvina," recalled Biderman, who owed his life to this sapper.

At the same time, on the morning of October 13, 1944, Riga fishermen, under enemy fire, repaired boats damaged by the Germans, helped our soldiers cross and transport equipment across the Daugava and the Riga lakes. This is evidenced by documents from the political department of the 43rd Guards Latvian Rifle Division of the 2nd Baltic Front.

The authorities of the modern Republic of Latvia, of course, will not celebrate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Riga and the entire republic from Nazism.

The approach of today's politicians is well known. For example, in February of this year, the mayor of Ogre, Egils Helmanis, congratulated SS legionary Antons Mortukans on his 105th birthday, calling the collaborator a "respected fighter" and "an amazing person."

And in March, the Latvian State Police arrested public figure Elena Kreile in Riga, who went on a solo picket against the traditional march in honor of the Latvian SS Legion. As TASS explains, Kreile had previously been recognized as a political criminal - judges considered the Russian tricolor on her jacket and the letter "Z" on her bag "justification of war crimes."

However, the protest action against the glorification of real war criminals, immortalized in the Riga Museum of the “Fight Against Occupation,” was considered an encroachment on national interests.

But the fact that people brought flowers to the Monument to Soviet Soldiers in Victory Park on the banks of the Daugava (until the authorities demolished this monument in 2022) shows that Latvia remembers the liberation and what preceded it.

Let us remind you of this too.

TWO LATVIAN SSRS
The very emergence of the Latvian Republic (1918–1940, in Soviet historiography it was called “bourgeois”) is inextricably linked with the Civil War that engulfed the entire Russian Empire.

The role of the Latvian riflemen in the events of October 1917 and in the battles from Petrograd to Kakhovka and Perekop is well known. Suffice it to say that the first commander-in-chief of the Red Army was "rifleman" Joachim (Jukums) Vatsetis. Less well known is that in 1919 he also commanded the army of Soviet Latvia.

The First Latvian SSR was proclaimed in the autumn of 1918, during the war between the local Reds (led by Vatsetis and Jan Fabricius, nicknamed Iron Martin) and the Whites, in which the Baltic German Landeswehr and Russian White Guards intervened. Pro-Soviet Latvians fought until 1920, until the same logic of the civil war forced the RSFSR to sign peace with the "bourgeois" Latvian Republic.

The Second Latvian SSR emerged when the Second World War was already in full swing in Europe, and our country needed to secure its borders. The Soviet-German Non-Aggression Pact provided this opportunity and at the same time protected the Baltic nations from immediate Nazi occupation.

Before the war, European diplomats admitted : "The majority of the Latvian people are anti-German." But the regime of dictator Karlis Ulmanis was inclined to go under the Germans. Two months before signing the pact with the Soviet Union, Reich Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop signed another pact with the head of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Wilhelms Munters, a Baltic German whose real name was Wilhelm Munter. Berlin and Riga pledged to cooperate in the military sphere. The Wehrmacht could have appeared on the Soviet-Latvian border even before the Nazis invaded Poland.

But the plans for a new world war did not imply an immediate confrontation between Germany and the USSR, and according to the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact, the Baltics were in the Soviet sphere of influence. On June 16, 1940, People's Commissar Vyacheslav Molotov presented Ulmanis with Moscow's demands: to comply with previously concluded agreements on military aid to the USSR and to hold democratic elections.

The preparations for the vote in the People's Seimas were accompanied by mass pro-Soviet demonstrations. Moscow demanded that the Ulmanis regime not interfere (and this was reinforced by the presence of the Red Army), but, judging by the NKVD reports, the expressions of sympathy for our country were quite sincere.

On July 21, 1940, the People's Seimas voted to proclaim the Second Latvian SSR and submitted a request for its accession to the USSR. This happened on August 5 of the same year. The Latvian army was reformed into the 181st and 182nd rifle divisions of the Red Army.

It is clear that these changes were unlikely to enjoy the support of the absolute majority of the ruling class, the army and society. But no "partisan war" began in response to Latvia's entry into the USSR in 1940. The "Forest Brothers" appeared later, with the participation and assistance of the Nazis.

"PEOPLE WITH SKULLS ON THEIR CAPS WHO UNDERSTOOD RUSSIAN"
The Latvian SSR was one of the first Soviet territories occupied by the Germans. Riga was captured at the end of June 1941, and the Wehrmacht occupied the entire republic by July 8. There was no talk of any "restoration of independence." According to the General Plan "Ost", the General District of Lettland was created as part of the Reichskommissariat Ostland - a territory to be settled by German colonists.

There were those who were satisfied with the serf status. The Latvian SS Legion managed to recruit about 100 thousand "volunteers", of which 87,500 were sent to combat units.

Latvian SS men "marked" themselves with war crimes in the Leningrad and Novgorod regions. From December 1943 to April 1944 alone, units of the 19th Latvian SS Division destroyed 23 villages. In thirteen of them, up to 1,300 people were shot. According to historians, in February–March 1944, legionnaires destroyed 138 villages in the Vitebsk region of Belarus, killed 17,000 people, and drove 13,000 to Germany.

Even other collaborators from Vlasov's ROA were horrified by the atrocities of the Latvian "SS men" in Belarus. The Historical Memory Foundation cites one of the Vlasovites' reports:

"At the beginning of May (1944) in the area of the village of Kobyliniki in one of the hollows we saw about three thousand bodies of executed peasants, mostly women and children. The surviving residents said that the executions were carried out by "people who understood Russian, wore skulls on their caps and red-white-red flags on their left sleeves" - the Latvian SS."

At the end of the war and immediately after it, the punitive forces will join the ranks of the “forest brothers”, now considered fighters for independence and democracy.

But there was another Latvia.

The first cell of the anti-fascist underground in Riga – Janis Anton’s group of about a hundred people – was created immediately after the beginning of the occupation, in July 1941. Moreover, it seems that it was created without any connection with the Moscow “center”.

In the autumn of the same year, the Latvian capital saw its own "Young Guard" - the organization collected weapons, organized escapes for Soviet prisoners of war and arrested Latvian underground fighters. Despite the Gestapo repressions, the underground worked until liberation.

At least 75 thousand Latvians fought in the Great Patriotic War on the side of the Red Army. The 201st (later 43rd) Latvian division was awarded the title of Guards for its participation in the defense of Moscow.

The 183rd Division fought the Nazis at the beginning of the war - near Staraya Russa, in 1942 - near Rzhev, and in 1943 in the battle for Kharkov and on the Kursk Bulge, where the Latvians fought in the very hell - at Prokhorovka. Here they withstood the onslaught of two elite SS tank divisions - "Adolf Hitler" and "Death's Head".

It should be noted that the first tankman to be awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union was Latvian Peter Tyltinsh (a fighter of the Spanish International Brigades, Paul Arman). In total, the title Hero was awarded to 27 ethnic Latvians and people of Latvian descent by the end of the Great Patriotic War.

One of the Hero's stars was posthumously awarded to Imants Sudmalis, one of the organizers of the Soviet partisan underground in Latvia and Belarus.

The partisans of Anderson (under this pseudonym Sudmalis was known) carried out their first action deep behind enemy lines back in 1942. Six months before the liberation of Latvia, Sudmalis was arrested by the Gestapo and hanged after torture. The partisan's last words were well known to the post-war Soviet generations of Latvians:

"I looked back on the path I had traveled, and I have nothing to reproach myself for: in those decisive days for humanity, I was a man and a fighter. If only the future were better and happier!"

JUST A "TRANSIT CAMP"?
While the Latvian Red Army soldiers fought on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War and in partisan detachments, their occupied homeland was being transformed into a large concentration camp. The Nazis built 48 prisons and 18 Jewish ghettos.

The responsibility for the Holocaust in Latvia was also borne by the “Auxiliary Security Police” under the command of Viktors Arajs – in January–March 1943, it was these punitive forces that shot more than 10,000 people at a firing range in the Bikernieki forest to the east of Riga.

Twenty kilometers from the Latvian capital, the occupiers created the Kurtenhof concentration camp, better known by its Latvian name, Salaspils.

The Salaspils camp for political prisoners and the nearby Stalag 350/Z were not classified as Vernichtungslager (extermination camps like Auschwitz, Sobibor or Majdanek), but about 400,000 Latvians and prisoners died there over three years.

In fact, the “educational labor camp” was a death camp, where mass shootings were carried out and people were killed in “gas chambers”.

"I participated in loading Jews from trains into trucks, accompanied them to the gas chamber and forcibly drove them into the back. Having placed 50-60 people in the gas chamber, they hermetically sealed the door and started the engine..." - an employee of the Riga SD department, a Latvian by the name of Konrads, testified during interrogation.

Here people were buried alive in the ground, and sick prisoners – both adults and children – were “liquidated” with the help of arsenic.

The most terrible thing was that the camp also contained children taken from Belarus, the Pskov and Leningrad regions during the “anti-partisan actions”, in which SS legionnaires also participated.

The FSB cited data from the archives - the story of a former prisoner of Salaspils, Latvian Kazimirs Laugalaitis :

" In March 1943, 20,000 Soviet citizens were driven in, along with their children. The SS immediately took the children away from their parents, literally tore them out of their arms... Infants and children under 5 were placed in a separate barracks, where they died en masse. More than 3,000 children died in just one year."

Soviet investigators established that from the end of 1942 to 1944, up to 12 thousand children were held in the Salaspils camp, of which 7,000 died. The overwhelming majority of the little prisoners went through an "action" comparable only to the sadistic "experiments" of the Japanese detachment 731. In Salaspils, the Germans pumped 3,500 liters of blood from the children's blood vessels.

Documents published by the FSB back in 2000 contain testimony from one of the camp’s prisoners, 10-year-old Natasha Lemeshonok :

"The soldiers were taking us out of the barracks in groups and leading us through the yard to the hospital... The doctor stuck a needle into my arm and when he filled the glass tube full, he let me go and started taking blood from my little sister Anya... A day later they took us to the doctor again and took blood again. Anya soon died in the barracks. Our arms were all covered in injections."

In the textbook “History of Latvia: 20th Century”, published in the mid-2000s, Salaspils is presented not as an analogue of Auschwitz and Treblinka, where local collaborators “worked”, but as a “transit camp”, where “about 2 thousand people were simultaneously located”, and the most terrible punishment was allegedly not execution, but the threat of execution. Documents that could refute this lie are ignored.

STALIN'S EIGHTH STRIKE
The end of Nazi terror and occupation was brought about by the eighth of ten “Stalinist strikes” – an operation by the Red Army that began in mid-September 1944 with forces from three Baltic fronts (commanded by Army Generals Ivan Maslennikov, Andrei Eremenko, and Ivan Bagramyan ).

The armies of the North Group holding Latvia were commanded by Colonel General Ferdinand Schörner. On the one hand, he had risen from private to General Field Marshal (he was the last to whom Adolf Hitler awarded this rank in 1945), but on the other hand, he was not respected in the army for his cruelty and lack of talent. As Wehrmacht officer Gottlob Biedermann recalled, Schörner “would have been better off as a Feldgendarme, whom the soldiers called ‘watchdogs’, than as a general.”

The "watchdog" was unable to hold back the advance of Bagramyan's troops. And then, against the backdrop of the successful actions of the Leningrad Front in Estonia, the army of Eremenko and Maslennikov began to advance towards the end of September.

The cities of Valmiera and Smiltene were liberated. But the Germans, having brought up troops retreating from Estonia, were able to force battles on the 1st Baltic Front, which was approaching Riga. On September 27, the offensive temporarily stopped at the fortified line "Sigulda" 60 km from the city.

Our command decided to shift the main pressure of attacks from Latvia, from the Riga direction, to Lithuania, to the Memel (Klaipeda) direction. This would give a chance to quickly cut through the enemy's territory, cutting off the "North" group in the Baltics from East Prussia.

ATTACK OF THE AMPHIBIOUS FORDS
The armies of the 1st Baltic Front were transferred to the Lithuanian city of Šiauliai, from where a joint offensive on Memel-Klaipeda began on October 6.

The Germans, who were expecting the resumption of fighting in the Riga area, were completely unprepared for such a turn of events.

The Wehrmacht began to withdraw from Riga to the Memel direction, but this did not help the enemy. According to the plan of the Soviet command, the advancing Red Army left the Germans a corridor by the sea for the withdrawal of troops from Riga to the west, where the enemy would have been surrounded anyway.

As experts at the Moscow Victory Museum note, Schörner took the bait and on October 5 announced an evacuation through the corridor. The situation for the enemy was getting worse: on October 10, the German group in Latvia and Lithuania was cut off from East Prussia. But Schörner was not going to give up the city without a fight.

"The Feldgendarme" did not expect the unexpected decision of our command. On October 13, the Germans were attacked from Lake Kishezers, which our soldiers crossed in Lend-Lease Ford GPA amphibious vehicles. The Germans, having missed the attack, began to retreat.

On October 13, as mentioned above, the forces of the 2nd and 3rd Baltic Fronts, pursuing the fleeing enemy, occupied the right-bank part of Riga, and then the entire city.

"THE PRIDE OF THE LATVIAN PEOPLE" FEARED CAPITULATION
The Riga operation ended on October 22 with the unification of the 1st and 2nd Baltic Fronts, blocking the enemy in northwestern Latvia, in the Courland pocket. Both the Germans and the Latvian Legion found themselves there, resisting until May 1945. The 19th Latvian SS Division, fearing retribution for its crimes, surrendered after the capitulation of the Reich.

SS men and “anti-Soviet resistance fighters” are now honored as fighters for an independent Latvia. “ The Legionnaires are the pride of the Latvian people and state,” then-Defense Minister Artis Pabriks said in 2019. This post-Soviet trend only strengthened with the start of the NVO.

The demolition of the Liberators' Monument in 2022 has already been discussed. In February 2023, the Latvian Ministry of Culture allocated a grant for the film "Invisible Fortress" about Ernests Laumanis, the commander of the 21st Liepaja Police Battalion during the siege of Leningrad - from the German side, of course.

And on April 20 of last year (coincidentally, on Hitler's birthday, the Russian Foreign Ministry noted), the Seimas adopted the law "On the ban on holding certain public events on May 9," which meant events in honor of Victory Day. Only Russia's victory over neo-Nazism in the SVO can stop the rehabilitation of Nazism that the current Baltic regimes are imposing on their peoples.

The Grand Turk
'True Friend': Erdogan Visits Serbs, But Gives Drones to Kosovo
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Kirill Semenov

[REGNUM] Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan paid an official visit to Serbia on October 11, where he held talks with President Aleksandar Vucic. The leaders of the two countries discussed regional issues, the situation in the Balkans, as well as the Middle East and Ukraine.

Erdogan stressed the importance of maintaining stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina and called for a constructive approach in relations between Serbia and Kosovo. The Turkish leader emphasized the need for a conscious approach to tensions between Serbia and Kosovo and the resolution of all contradictions (naturally, with the mediation of Ankara) and noted the importance of maintaining stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the visit, 11 interstate agreements were signed and the 4th meeting of the Supreme Council was held, where bilateral relations, especially the economy and trade, were discussed.

At the final press conference, Erdogan noted that Serbian-Turkish relations are experiencing a "golden age." Trade turnover between the countries has exceeded $2 billion for the second year in a row. Ankara and Belgrade intend to increase it to $5 billion, and Turkish investments in Serbia have grown from $1 million to $405 million over the past 12 years.

Ankara continues to strengthen its economic presence in Serbia: there are already about 3,300 Turkish companies operating here, 21 of which are manufacturing companies.

The possibilities of mutual trips on internal passports were also discussed, which should increase the tourist flow. Serbian citizens can already travel to Turkey without foreign passports.

Particular attention was paid to the situation in Palestine. "It is necessary to put an end to the attacks of the Israeli leadership, which trample on human dignity," the Turkish leader said. He called on the international community to recognize a Palestinian state within the 1967 borders.

An important aspect of the talks was cooperation in the defense industry. Erdogan and Vucic noted the great prospects for cooperation in this area. "The Turkish military industry is much stronger than ours," Vucic said at a joint press conference." But, without false modesty, we cannot be ignored either. Within this framework, I see scope for great cooperation."

The military cooperation talks likely included the Bayraktar drones, which Belgrade abandoned last year after Ankara provided five to Kosovo's security forces. During his visit to Albania on Thursday, Erdogan said he would also give the Balkan country an unspecified number of Bayraktars "so that no one would dare attack it."

Asked whether joint military-industrial cooperation with Serbia would include the production of Bayraktar drones, Erdogan replied: “Serbia has certain capabilities, we have certain capabilities, and as friendly countries we can develop our capabilities together.”

KOSOVO IS NOT A HINDRANCE
Although Türkiye unconditionally supported Kosovo's unilateral declaration of independence from Serbia in 2008, Erdogan is a proponent of a constructive, balanced approach that also respects Serbian interests in the region.

Back in 2013, when he was prime minister, his statement that “Kosovo is Turkey and Turkey is Kosovo” drew sharp criticism in Belgrade. Ten years later, Aleksandar Vucic sees Erdogan as an actor who can “help maintain stability in northern Kosovo” and a “true friend” of Serbia.

Indeed, despite different views on the status of Kosovo, relations between Belgrade and Ankara have improved significantly over the past decade and are developing steadily.

At the meeting of the presidents in 2019, the head of Turkey already called Serbia a friendly country. During his visit to Belgrade in September 2022, special attention was paid to economic issues.

Turkey, despite the difficult situation in its own economy and the unstable exchange rate of the lira, was able to make efforts to increase trade turnover not only with Serbia, but also with the countries of the region as a whole. Thus, the relations between Turkey and Serbia are very dynamic, and the personal relations of their leaders can be described as friendly.

Ankara is traditionally seen as an ally of Balkan Muslims, including Albanians. However, this does not mean that Turkey will unconditionally support, say, Bosnian Muslims or Albanians against Serbs simply because of some “historical principles.”

On the contrary, Turkish policy in the Balkans is very pragmatic and balanced and far from the ideological labels such as “Great Turan” or “Neo-Ottomanism”. And Erdogan’s current Balkan tour also confirms this.

Let us recall that he arrived in Serbia from Albania, a traditional Turkish ally in the region. And, of course, the fact that the Turkish leader opened a new mosque there is an important ideological symbol of the continuity of the Ottoman presence in the Balkans.

However, the signed agreements and growing trade turnover with Serbia indicate that other aspects of Turkey's activities in the region, beyond ideological principles, are of no less, if not greater, importance.

Ankara aims to become one of the most influential foreign players in the Balkans and therefore has many factors to consider. It already plays a major role in conflicts ranging from Syria and Libya to Ukraine, often imposing solutions through force.

Since the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, organized by the European Union, has not led to a complete easing of tensions in northern Kosovo, Erdogan sees a window of opportunity for further mediation in this conflict as well.

The “Turkish party” deserved special attention against the backdrop of the next crisis in Kosovo in 2022–2023, where it would seem that Erdogan should traditionally side with the Albanians and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti against the ethnic Serb minority in northern Kosovo. However, Ankara extended a hand to Kurti primarily against the backdrop of his confrontation with the United States, and not because of contradictions with the Serbs.

At that time, Washington tried to tear Vucic away from Russia by making concessions to the Serbian side, while simultaneously putting pressure on the authorities of the partially recognized Kosovo. Erdogan intervened in the situation largely at the request of the Kosovo authorities, but did so to spite the Americans and in such a way that Serbia had no reason to be dissatisfied with the Turkish mediation.

From the very beginning of the crisis, the Turkish president held talks with both the Kosovo Prime Minister and President Vucic, calling for dialogue. And in the summer of 2023, in agreement with the authorities of both sides, a Turkish military contingent was deployed in northern Kosovo. About 500 soldiers and officers from the 65th Mechanized Brigade of the Turkish Army formed the bulk of the NATO reinforcements in the north of the province.

Therefore, on the one hand, the Turkish military deployment in Kosovo underlines Ankara’s status as a mediator, and on the other hand, it is a way of Turkey’s military return to the Balkans and a clear example of NATO using its instrument of play on the Balkan field.

Strengthening the Turkish military presence in Kosovo will undoubtedly help Ankara strengthen its position in the region, especially now that the West is busy helping the Kyiv regime. At the same time, it will help Erdogan position himself as an impartial partner for both Belgrade and Pristina.

BOSNIAN QUESTION
In turn, Turkey's official position on the sore "Bosnian issue" boils down to the need for peaceful coexistence between Bosnian Muslims and the Republic of Srpska. The Turkish president is trying to prevent the situation from escalating or the republic from separating from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In September 2022, Erdogan rushed to the country to hold talks with the Presidency Council "triumvirate" as tensions between Bosniaks and Serbs rose in the country. This followed a statement by Republika Srpska leader Milorad Dodik opposing a law banning the denial of the Bosnian genocide. The Turkish president was trying to cement his status as a peacemaker in the country as well.

It is significant that a year earlier, Dodik himself also visited Istanbul, where he held talks with the Turkish leader.

Again, being an ally of (partially) Muslim Bosnia and Herzegovina and Albania, Turkey has no less close allied relations with Montenegro and Northern Macedonia. And Ankara is ready to be a guarantor of the territorial integrity of these states and not allow Albanian separatism to raise its head there.

The same Montenegro, even against the backdrop of cooling relations with Russia, is historically turned to the East and is not inclined to fully trust its fate to Europe and the West. In this situation, Ankara, with its multi-vector approach and special view of international affairs, is becoming a desirable partner.

In particular, on June 25, 2023, the then Prime Minister of Montenegro Dritan Abazović, during a visit to Istanbul, stated that Turkey has now become a “key country” in the Western Balkans and the region is in dire need of mediation from leaders like Erdogan, who are capable of bringing the necessary stability to it.

MACEDONIAN FRONT AGAINST ATHENS
And in August 2021, shortly after joining NATO, North Macedonia signed a separate military cooperation agreement with Turkey, providing for the active participation of the Turkish military in the modernization and enhancement of the defense capability of the North Macedonian army.

Of course, by strengthening its position in the Balkans, Ankara is also challenging Athens, with which Turkey has a whole tangle of unresolved problems. And it is precisely on this basis that Ankara is becoming one of the closest partners of Northern Macedonia and has already helped Skopje join NATO, when Greece was against it.

Therefore, the development of military cooperation with North Macedonia and Albania could be an alarming signal for Greece. In recent years, in the context of the Turkish-Greek escalation in the Eastern Mediterranean, France has provided significant military and diplomatic support to the Greeks. Therefore, the possibility of tensions to the north and west of the continental borders of Greece should not be underestimated.

-Signs, Portents, and the Weather-
Wall Street Journal; Senior U.S. Defense Officials are Stumped, by an Incident which occurred over several Nights last December
[X]
First, 3dc doesn't believe in UFOs but this is strange. 3dc wonders what was added in the food at these events

… U.S. Navy’s Largest Base on the East Coast, Naval Station Norfolk as well as Langley Air Force Base and Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story.

Officials, including U.S. Air Force General Mark Kelly who was a Witness of the Event, say that over several Nights a Swarm of Drones, some believed to be as long as 20 Feet and flying at over 100 Miles per Hour, were seen flying at an Altitude of roughly 2,500 Feet over Langley and the then South towards Naval Station Norfolk and other Bases along the Virginia Coastline, with it claimed to have sounded like a “Parade of Lawnmowers.”

With these Events, leading to Two Weeks of Meetings at the White House involving multiple Agencies, including the Defense Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pentagon’s UFO Office, to determine what these Drones are and where they are coming from; though almost No Information has been Publicly Released, other than its believed the Drones were not being flown by Hobbyists, but instead likely a Hostile Power, like China or Russia.

The Incident is said to be similar to something that occurred in October of 2023 at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Nevada National Security Site, which is used for Nuclear Weapon Experimentation outside of Las Vegas; in which several Drones were seen over the Facility over a Three-Day Period, leading to a System being installed which could Detect and Counter the Drones.

Just tossing it out there....

What if:
* a 5th column,
* that infiltrated the USA,
* via the OPEN BORDER,
* located itself near a Classified installation,
* a rented warehouse,
* stocked it with smuggled in attack drones,
* and launched the computer controlled drones,
* as a test run for a future event?
