#3  They’ll blame Israel, of course. But after the world has screamed about it for a bit — perhaps added more charges to the ICC arrest warrant, leading the Biden-[Harris] administration to to emit something more in sorrow than in anger about turning on PM Netanyahu and General Gallant* and Israel as a whole — it will be discovered that it was actually a Hezbollah rocket that went astray. Or perhaps a rocket sent up by the Hamas or Palestinian Islamic Jihad unit currently based in Lebanon.

* In what is widely seen as a jab at the PM, Likud MK — and recently fired defense minister — Yoav Gallant will take off on Sunday for Washington meet with the senior Biden administration officials with whom he worked throughout the war.

Afghanistan
Daesh claims Thursday attack on Nahrin district mosque attack
[ToloNews] Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate, told TOLOnews that attacks on vulnerable areas by ISIS demonstrate the "foolishness and weakness" of the group.

Mujahid added that the Islamic Emirate is seriously fighting against ISIS and has brought the group to the brink of collapse.

The spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate stated: "Afghanistan's Islamic Emirate forces are fighting the phenomenon of Daesh with determination and have pushed it to the edge of destruction. Their attacks on weak points and targeting ordinary people engaged in worship show the extent of their foolishness and weakness."

This comes as Daesh claimed responsibility for a recent attack on worshipers in Baghlan province. The attack, which occurred on Thursday, claimed the lives of ten residents in the Nahrin district of Baghlan.

Meanwhile, the European Union also condemned the attack on civilians in a statement, emphasizing that all communities must be protected from violence.

The EU in Afghanistan stated: "The EU in Afghanistan condemns the attack targeting civilians during prayers in Baghlan province. All communities should be safe and protected from violence.”

"To eliminate any threat, the people of Afghanistan must unite with their government, and the government must fulfill its responsibilities," Yousuf Amin Zazai, a military affairs expert, told TOLOnews.

Before Daesh claimed responsibility for the attack, local authorities in Baghlan had reported the arrest of several individuals in connection with the incident.

Afghanistan
Religious Affairs Ministry to Build Large-Capacity Madrasas Across Country
[ToloNews] The Islamic Emirate plans to build 34 jihadi schools across the 34 provinces of the country, each with a capacity of over a thousand students.

Azizur Rahman Mansoor, Deputy Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs, stated during the inauguration ceremony of three mosques in Jawzjan that in addition to these schools, the construction of three religious schools in every district is also planned.

Mansoor elaborated that each district will have two day schools and one boarding school as part of this initiative.

Azizur Rahman Mansoor said: "Each province will have a large jihadi school—34 schools across the 34 provinces—and in the same way, three schools in every district: two day schools and one with boarding facilities, so that our inner spirit is revitalized, and our faith is strengthened."

Meanwhile,
...back at the wrecked scow, Agent 49 felt gingerly for his head. It was still there. He had been hoping differently...
local officials in Jawzjan stated that three mosques in this province have been constructed with a total budget of over 27 million Afghanis provided by the Islamic Emirate.

According to them, the mosque in Gardan village can accommodate 2,000 worshippers at a time, the mosque in Arab Khana village 200 worshippers, and the mosque in Dasht-e-Laili 150 worshippers.

"The mental and intellectual upbringing of our children and learning religious and Islamic teachings should begin from the mosque—they should learn from the mosque," said Gul Haidar Shafaq, the governor of Jawzjan.

According to officials from the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, another mosque in Sar-e-Pul

province, which accommodates 300 worshippers, has been completed at the cost of 4.192 million Afghanis and has been handed over for public use.

IOM Reports Drop in Afghan Migration Movements
[ToloNews] The International Organization for Migration (IOM) stated in a recent report that the return rate of Afghans to Afghanistan decreased by 3% in the past week compared to the previous week.

According to the report, 76,558 people entered Afghanistan in the past week, while over 53,000 people left Afghanistan for other countries during the same period, showing an 8% decrease.

The IOM added, " Both inflows and outflows decreased slightly compared to last week. The total number of inflows was 76,558 this week, representing a three percent decrease, while the total number of outflows was 53,056 movements, representing an eight percent decrease."

Meanwhile,
...back at the Alamo, Davy was wondering if Buck was okay. He suspected he wasn't...
some activists in the field of migrant rights emphasize enhancing security, improving economic conditions, and signing agreements with neighboring countries to manage the migration crisis in Afghanistan.

Ali Reza Karimi, a migrant rights activist, told TOLOnews, "To better control the situation in Afghanistan, the migration crisis must be managed through economic improvement, strengthening security, and establishing international agreements and diplomacy with neighboring countries. This can impact stability in the region."

Mohammad Khan Mohammadzai, another migrant rights activist, stated: "The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs must work to establish infrastructure within the country to reduce migration to other countries."

Previously, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriations reported that over 100,000 Afghan migrants colonists had returned to the country in the past month. Over the past year, Pakistain and Iran

Shelling injures four civilians in Syria’s Tal Rifaat
[Rudaw] Four civilians were maimed in the Kurdish-held town of Tal Rifaat in northwest Syria on Sunday following shelling from Ottoman Turkish-held areas, reported local media and a war monitor.

Media outlets close to the Kurdish authorities reported that Ottoman Turkish artillery shelled Tal Rifaat late Sunday, injuring four people, aged between 10 to 25. They were transferred to a nearby hospital.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said the attack was carried out by the The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
-based holy warriors, adding that no casualties had been reported.

Tal Rifaat is located within a small region of Afrin that is still under control of the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG). Hundreds of thousands of Kurds who fled Turkey’s 2018 military offensive in Afrin are still living in camps in Tal Rifaat.

In recent years, Turkey has threatened to carry out an offensive to remove Kurdish fighters from the enclave. Ankara accuses the YPG of using the location to attack its forces.

The town often comes under Ottoman Turkish Arclight airstrike

Afghan Man Charged in Wife’s Murder in Canada: Domestic Violence Under Scrutiny
[KhaamaPress] A quiet neighborhood in Oshawa was shaken on Sunday, November 17, 2024, when 48-year-old Parween Adel was fatally stabbed in her home. Her husband, Hakim Adel, 41, has been charged with second-degree murder. This marks the fourth intimate partner-related homicide in Durham Region this year.

Police responded to the couple’s residence on Eulalie Avenue after a 911 call just after midnight. Officers found Parween with traumatic injuries. Despite emergency efforts and transport to a Toronto-area trauma center, she was pronounced dead.
He's dead, Jim!
Hakim was arrested at the scene without resistance. Their 5-year-old twin daughters and an elderly family member were in the home during the incident but were unharmed.

Neighbors described the family as active in the community but revealed a history of tension. Aaren Gillis, a neighbor, said Parween had expressed plans to leave her husband and had been offered temporary refuge by neighbors. Another neighbor, Ron Mohr, recalled seeing emergency responders attempting to resuscitate Parween and expressed disbelief, describing Hakim as "quiet and reserved."

A source close to the family, speaking to Khaama Press anonymously, shared that the couple had a prolonged history of conflict. The source mentioned that Hakim had been pressuring to sell their paid-off home, possibly due to financial difficulties. However,
today is that tomorrow you were thinking about yesterday...
the exact reasons remain unclear. Parween opposed the sale, which added further strain to their already troubled relationship.

Several posts on Hakim’s Facebook profile reference marital conflicts, many focusing on the dynamics between husbands and wives. In one video, a Sunni Moslem scholar discusses the importance of women being obedient to their husbands and suggests that such behavior would earn them divine favor.

In the wake of the tragedy, a GoFundMe campaign titled "Support for Parween’s Daughters: A Future Beyond Tragedy" has raised over 68,000 CAD to support the young twins left without parents.

This tragic incident underscores a concerning trend in Canada. In 2023, police-reported family violence increased by 3%, with 139,020 victims, while intimate partner violence rose by 1%, totaling 123,319 victims. Notably, the rate of family violence against children and youth reached its highest recorded level, with 362 victims per 100,000 population. These statistics highlight the urgent need for enhanced support systems and preventive measures to address and mitigate domestic violence across the country.

Hezbollah unit responsible for smuggling weapons from Iran targeted in latest Beirut strikes — IDF
[IsraelTimes] The IDF says it carried out airstrikes against 12 Hezbollah command centers in Beirut’s southern suburbs a short while ago.

According to the military, the command rooms belonged to Hezbollah’s intelligence division, coast-to-sea missile unit, and Unit 4400, the latter of which is tasked with delivering weapons from Iran to Lebanon.

The Hezbollah sites were located “in the heart of a civilian population,” the IDF says, accusing the terror group of using human shields.

Before the strikes, the IDF issued evacuation warnings to civilians in the area.

Far-right activist arrested at anti-Israel rally in Toronto after refusing to cross road: ‘It’s because I’m a Jew’
[IsraelTimes] Canadian far-right political pundit Ezra Levant has been arrested at a pro-Hamas rally in Toronto, after he refused police instructions to move away from the demonstration, claiming he was being discriminated against for being Jewish.

In a video of the arrest posted to social media by Levant’s Rebel News platform, officers can be heard telling the conservative activist that his presence at the pro-Palestinian rally was “inciting the crowd.”

“It’s because I’m a Jew,” Levant insists during an argument with the officer over his order to move away from the demonstration.

“I’m refusing to leave because I’m a Jew, and I’m a citizen, and I’m your boss. And I don’t leave because you say Jews aren’t allowed on this side of the street.”

The officer then tells him he is under “arrest for breaching the peace,” at which point the protesters erupt in cheers and calls of “Zionist” and “loser.”

Photos from the Toronto demonstration posted to social media show an activist dressed as slain Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind of the terror group’s brutal October 7, 2023, attack on southern Israel, posing in a stuffed armchair to recreate the final moments before he was killed by Israel in Gaza last month.

Another protester holds a sign reading, “Free flights to Amsterdam,” a reference to a wave of widespread, coordinated attacks against Israeli tourists in the Dutch capital, following a soccer game earlier this month.

Amish Volunteers Built 100+ 'Tiny Homes' for Hurricane Victims but Guess What Happened Next...
[PJM] After Hurricane Helene which left untold thousands of western North Carolina (WNC) residents homeless, volunteer Amish carpenters showed up to build temporary shelters, but the heartwarming story has a bitter ending.

There are a couple of stories here that the mainstream media hasn't reported on much. The first is that FEMA, for whatever reason, has not been up to the task after Helen destroyed or damaged approximately 100,000 homes in WNC, impacting more than 200,000 people. People are living in trailers or even tents all these weeks later — and as temperatures drop.

Spoiler:
BREAKING

The Amish came to Western NC and built 100+ tiny homes to shelter Helene victims from the cold mountain weather.

Local and state authorities kicked the victims out of their houses, saying they didn't pass code.

#1  Like I said being over 70s, the thought of life in prison doesn't have the same sting as if one was younger. Maybe the only way to get a bureaucrat's attention to the problem. The problem is getting people shelter not paperwork leaving them out in the cold.

#2  Find/identify all of those government bastards/bitches involved. Give them a blanket, transport and shackle them to chain link fences in Boone, NC. It gets cold there. Maybe the moonshiners will leave them some Clorox bottles of moonshine 'juuust' out of reach. Hey, I can dream.

Thanks for the effort, Amish volunteer carpenters. We love you.

'Nobody Is Above The Law,' German FM Baerbock Says Of Netanyahu's Warrant
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could face arrest if he travels to Germany, according to the country's top diplomat.

"The German government abides by the law, because nobody is above the law," Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock
…Green Party, so the watermelon portion of the far left spectrum. They object to Jews and Israel as a matter of principle…
said on Monday on the sidelines of a meeting of G7 foreign ministers in Fiuggi, Italy.

On Thursday, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and the recently dismissed Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) has strongly condemned the international arrest warrants against Israel's head of government Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Joav Galant for alleged war crimes in the war against the Palestinian terrorist organisation Hamas.

"We stand by Israel and the right to self-defence," Söder affirmed in Munich during his speech as guest of honour at the Council of the Central Council of Jews. "I find it disconcerting when the International Criminal Court equates Israel and Hamas. The Criminal Court has massively damaged itself".

Bavaria is firmly committed to Israel and to the security of the Jewish state as a German reason of state. "This is not only a moral obligation and reason of state, we also share the same values with our Israeli friends," explained Söder. "Israel is the only true democracy in the region. We take Israel's right to self-defence for granted."

In a subsequent question and answer session, Söder responded to a delegate's question about the latest decision by the International Criminal Court (ICC) by saying: "I would find it absurd if the head of the Israeli government were to be arrested on German soil."

Nolte: Insiders Say Kamala Harris Will Try Again in 2028
[Breitbart] With the early primary polls on her side, Democrat Party insiders say Kamala Harris is thinking seriously about trying again for the presidency in 2028.

"Of course, she’s going to try and run again," someone the Daily Mail describes as a "well-connected Democratic strategist," told the outlet. The strategist added that Kamala’s ambition is only one thing driving this decision.

"Despite some hesitation, Harris has generated a lot of sympathetic reactions from professional Democrats in Washington," reports the Daily Mail. "They describe her campaign as ’near flawless’ but say she struggled to separate herself from President Joe Biden’s record."

"One strategist compared her to the backup quarterback called into win the football game after they were already down in the fourth quarter."

"I think she did the best she could," the strategist said

As I wrote last week, there are pluses and minuses on her side. On the plus side, the Democrat Party bench is pretty weak and Harris did win more reported votes than any presidential candidate in history, except for Joe Biden in 2020 and Donald Trump in 2024.

There is also the fact that we live in a 50/50 country and anyone who wins the nomination has a 50/50 chance of winning the presidency. Kamala already came pretty close.

On the minus side are her anemic political skills. When it comes to anything off-script, Kamala never improved, not even a little bit. Repetition did nothing to elevate her ability to answer questions or deal with an unscripted situation. It was like watching someone throw a football at a cat. No matter how many times you throw a football at a cat, the cat will never get better at catching that football. I’ve never seen a human being incapable of getting better at something through repetition.

Some Democrats seem to understand this...

One Democratic communicator said that her rapid rise from a district attorney to the Senate and Vice President of the United States was partially to blame for her struggles as a candidate.

’This is someone who had a meteoric rise, her Achilles heel has been not having her own political identity, it created this blanket of caution that really f***d her up,’ he said.

For Harris to win again she would need to finally define herself outside of her own ambition and put to rest questions about what she really believed in.

Russia Reportedly Recruited Hundreds Of Yemeni Mercenaries To Fight In Ukraine
[ZERO] A Saturday report in Financial Times has claimed that Russia has recruited hundreds of mercenaries from Yemen to fighting against Ukraine. It comes amid recent Washington allegations that Moscow is increasingly looking abroad to bolster depleting troop ranks.

Some of the Yemeni recruits were cited in the FT report as saying they were initially promised jobs with "high salaries" and eventual Russian citizenship, but after a Houthi-linked company got them to Russia they were "forcibly inducted into the Russian army and sent to the front lines in Ukraine."

The FT characterized it as a "shadowy trafficking operation" which is an extension of illicit arms dealing between Russia and Yemen, something which has been alleged by Western sources for months now.

On Moscow's developing closer relations with the Iran-backed Houthis, who are currently waging a war against Israel and international shipping in the Red Sea, US Special Envoy for Yemen Tim Lenderking told FT that Russia is "actively pursuing contacts."

He alleged that Russian personnel have been in the capital of Sana'a facilitating this dialogue. "The kinds of weapons being discussed are very alarming and would enable the Houthis to better target ships in the Red Sea and potentially beyond," Lenderking said to FT.

The FT says it has proof, having published a purported contracted between the Russian armed forces and a Yemeni recruit:

#1  Interesting pick. Served in the British Territorials as an intelligence analyst.

Wiki - Early life and education
Gorka was born in London to Zsuzsa and Pál Gorka.[14] His parents had fled to the United Kingdom from Hungary after the failed anti-Soviet 1956 uprising[15] and became naturalised British citizens on February 25, 1963.[16] He attended St Benedict's School in west London, and received a lower second-class honours (2:2) B.A. degree in philosophy and theology from Heythrop College, a constituent college of the University of London.[17][15][18][19]

While at university, Gorka joined the British Territorial Army as a volunteer (typically committing to a weekend a month and a fortnight's annual camp), serving over a period of three years in the 22 Intelligence Company of the Intelligence and Security Group (Volunteers), an interrogation unit with a NATO role specializing in Russian language training and supporting 1 (BR) Corps until the latter was disbanded in 1992 at the end of the Cold War.[20][15][21][22][23]

In 1992, Gorka moved to Hungary, where he worked for the Hungarian Ministry of Defence[24] while studying for a master's degree in international relations and diplomacy at the Budapest University of Economic Sciences and Public Administration, now known as the Corvinus University, which he completed in 1997. In 1997, he was a Partnership for Peace International research fellow at the NATO Defense College in Rome.[25]

In 1998, Gorka served as an adviser to Viktor Orbán.[26] In 2002, he entered the political science doctoral program at Corvinus University where he obtained his Ph.D. degree in 2007.[7][27] Gorka is a naturalized American citizen.[28]

Russia captures former British army soldier in Kursk
[Washington Examiner] The Russian Armed Forces captured a former British army soldier fighting on behalf of Ukraine.

A Russian Telegram user posted two videos of the interrogation of 22-year-old James Scott Rhys Anderson. In the interrogation, Anderson portrayed himself as an uninspired recruit, saying he had only joined the Ukrainian International Legion after being fired from the U.K. army.

"I was in the British Army before, from 2019 to 2023, 22 Signal Regiment. Just a private, I was a signalman. One Signal Brigade, 22 Signal Regiment, 252 Squadron," he said.

"So when I got fired from my job I applied on the International Legion webpage. I had just lost everything, I had just lost my job. My dad was away in prison. I see it on the TV," Anderson added while shaking his head. "It was a stupid idea."

He revealed that he had flown to Poland and crossed the border into Ukraine by land. He said that his commander abruptly sent him to Kursk after taking his passport and other possessions.

"I don’t want to be here," he said.

Russian milbloggers gloated over the capture.

Joe Biden's Open Door Migration Turbocharges Prostitution
[Breitbart] Some of President Joe Biden’s poor migrants are turning to prostitution as they try to pay their smuggling debts and daily bills in the high-cost U.S. economy.

“Though she fears getting arrested, Camilla said she turned to sex work [prostitution] through a friend in a desperate bid to earn money while waiting for her work-authorization documents,” Indypendent.org, reported on November 21. The site continued:

Camilla arrived in New York City from Venezuela around a year ago, and lives in a Bronx migrant shelter with her husband and six-year-old son. “I just run away to wherever and hide on another street,” Camilla told The Indypendent. “I wait for the police to leave, then come out again.”

The woman spoke on Roosevelt Avenue, where the New York police have recently tried to shut down an open-air sex market, amid the various shops and restaurants along the avenue.

Her descent into poverty and prostitution may be a shock to Biden’s pro-migration border chief, Alejandro Mayorkas. He has justified his pro-migration policies by saying Americans must respect the dignity of poor migrants.

“We are building an immigration system that is designed to ensure due process, respect human dignity, and promote equity,” Mayorkas tweeted in August 2021, as he sketched out his plans for a mass migration of poor job-seekers into Americans’ homeland.

IDF's Alpine Brigade Discovers Iranian Weapons in Mountains Above Israel
[Breitbart] The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) 810th Alpine (or Mountain) Brigade announced Saturday that it had found weaponry manufactured by Iran on the slopes of Har (Mount) Dov, one of two strategic mountains on the border near Israel.

Breitbart News visited the Alpine Brigade on Thursday and toured the Har Dov area, before the discovery of Iranian weaponry was announced. The newly-formed brigade was deemed necessary because of the potential for infiltration into Israel through the unfenced mountain slopes of Har Dov and Mount Hermon, the highest peak in the region.

As Breitbart News reported on location on Thursday:

Har Dov is near the Shebaa Farms, an area that Hezbollah, the Iran-backed terror organization, claims for Lebanon, but which Israel seized from Syria during the Six Day War in 1967. The United Nations, normally hostile to Israel, actually agrees with Israel that Lebanon has no legal claim to the farms or Har Dov.

In recent years, Hezbollah has attempted to encroach on the area. It has also used the Har Dov issue in its effort to persuade Lebanon’s people of the need for war against Israel, rather than admitting that the Iranian regime has been using war for its own narrow interests.

Rather than dismiss Hezbollah’s claims, the Biden-Harris administration took them at face value, and attempted to persuade Israel to withdraw its forces from the Har Dov area as a condition of the ceasefire deal it wanted to impose after Hezbollah had fired missiles, rockets, and drones at Israel for nearly a year, starting in October 2023.

But Israel could not accept such a deal, primarily because Har Dov has a commanding view of almost all of the upper Galilee, making it a key strategic location.

The IDF issued the following statement Saturday:

For the past two months, troops of the 810th Brigade and the Alpinist Unit continued to conduct targeted, intelligence-based raids in the thicketed terrain of Mount Dov. During these activities, the soldiers located and dismantled numerous Hezbollah weapons and terrorist infrastructure.

Over the past week, the soldiers located a Hezbollah launch site containing accommodation facilities and hideouts. In the compound, the troops located and confiscated an Iranian-manufactured cannon, rocket launchers, and rockets aimed toward Israel.

The IDF released photos of a cannon with Iranian markings, plus a rocket launching battery aimed into Israel.

Iran supplies Hezbollah, along with Russia. Iran also provides funding for the terrorist group’s ongoing operations.

Control of Har Dov is now firmly in Israel’s hands; it is no longer a topic within ceasefire negotiations with Hezbollah.
Aaaaand…. mic drop.

Judge rejects 2nd Amendment argument from illegal immigrant living in Ohio charged over possession of 170 guns
[FoxNews] Agents seized roughly 170 firearms, tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition and smoke/marine markers from Carlos Serrano-Restrepo's home

A federal judge denied a request to dismiss a gun charge against an illegal immigrant in Ohio who had been in the U.S. for more than 15 years, rejecting the man's argument that he has a right to bear arms.

Carlos Serrano-Restrepo was charged earlier this year and was subsequently indicted for possession of a firearm by an alien unlawfully in the U.S., according to WSYX.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives began investigating and watching Serrano-Restrepo after he purchased at least 22 firearms, and claimed to be a U.S. citizen on the firearms forms.

Agents conducted a search of his home and seized roughly 170 firearms, tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition and smoke/marine markers.

Serrano-Restrepo said some of the guns were purchased for self-defense.

Photos that agents took at his home revealed he kept firearms in gun safes. Some handguns were also mounted in holsters on the wall of a closet.

The suspect's lawyer submitted a motion to dismiss the charge on the argument that he has the right to bear arms under the Second Amendment.

The judge denied his motion to dismiss the charge on Thursday, writing in his opinion that "disarming unlawful immigrants like Mr. Serrano-Restrepo who have not sworn allegiance to the United States comports with the Nation’s history and tradition of firearm regulations."

"Mr. Serrano-Restrepo’s as-applied challenge lacks merit," the judge continued. "The swearing of an oath of allegiance occurs through the naturalization process, not through his asylum application or his years of living in the United States."

His trial is scheduled for Jan. 21, 2025.

Serrano-Restrepo moved from Arizona to Orient, Ohio, in 2022. He told the court he last unlawfully entered the U.S. in 2008.

He also owns a business that remediates fire and flooding damage.

#5  The United States is either a place or a nation, depending on your political point of view. For many liberals it seems, being inside the borders of this "place" gives all the benefits and protections defined by the founding documents, regardless of how you get here, and special extra benefits are awarded if you seem likely to agree with them.

For a conservative, quite the opposite view. Citizens alone have the right to expectations of all the rights, benefits and obligations of being an American. Legal "house guests" and those we invite to stay and join the family because they bring skills, attitudes and abilities of value are welcome as long as they behave. People who break in should have no expectation of welcome or protection beyond civilized treatment as they are escorted out, and if they resist, will be dealt with as firmly as required, never to return.

Philippine VP says she would have Marcos assassinated if she is killed
[GEO.TV] Philippine Vice President Sara Duterte said on Saturday she would have President Ferdinand Marcos Jr assassinated if she herself were killed, prompting Marcos' office to vow "immediate proper action".

In a dramatic sign of a widening rift between the two most powerful political families in the Southeast Asian nation, Duterte told an early morning press conference that she had spoken to an assassin and instructed him to kill Marcos, his wife and the speaker of the Philippine House if she were to be killed.

"I have talked to a person. I said, if I get killed, go kill BBM (Marcos), (first lady) Liza Araneta, and (Speaker) Martin Romualdez. No joke. No joke," Duterte said in the profanity-laden briefing.

"I said, do not stop until you kill them and then he said yes," she said.

She was responding to an online commenter urging her to stay safe, saying she was in enemy territory as she was at the lower chamber of Congress overnight with her chief of staff.

Warring tribes agree on 7-day ceasefire in Kurram as dozens killed in clashes
[GEO.TV] The warring tribal groups in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's Kurram district have finally agreed to a seven-day ceasefire after days of festivities that left at least 30 dead and injured dozens, a KP government spokesperson said on Sunday.

"The two parties have agreed to return each other's hostages and bodies," Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif said in a statement after the delegation, under his chairmanship, met the tribal leaders in a bid to stop the festivities.

He noted that the government delegation flew to Parachinar — Kurram's main city — on Saturday to meet leaders of both sides.

The delegation met both warring parties today to try to broker a ceasefire deal and then move to resolve the matter.

Armed groups have attacked settlements that are populated by members of rival groups.

"Approximately 300 families have relocated to Hangu and Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistain's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire...
since this morning in search of safety," a bigwig told AFP, adding that more families were preparing to leave the violence-hit district.

The festivities started after button men attacked convoys of civilian vehicles on Thursday, killing at least 44. That sparked retaliatory attacks and there have been pitched battles between gangs from both sides.

At least 75 people have been killed over the past three days in the ongoing shootouts between different tribes, according to police.

It is pertinent to mention here that tribal and family feuds are common in the area.

Last month, at least 16 people, including three women and two children, were killed in a clash in Kurram.

Previous festivities in July and September killed dozens of people and ended only after a jirga, or tribal council, called a ceasefire. HRCP said 79 people died between July and October in festivities.

Several hundred people demonstrated against the violence on Friday in Lahore and Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...

In Parachinar, the main town of Kurram district, thousands participated in a sit-in, while hundreds attended the funerals of the victims of Thursday's attack.

The latest violence drew condemnation from officials and human rights

Senior ministers approve billions of shekels worth of purchases for IDF, including new warships
But no money spent with any of the countries sanctioning Israel or willing to arrest PM Netanyahu and General Gallant for the ICC, one assumes. — playing chess while the other guys are playing tiddlywinks.
[IsraelTimes] A defense procurement committee made up of senior ministers approved billions of shekels worth of new purchases for the Israeli military today, the Prime Minister’s Office, Defense Ministry, and treasury say in a joint statement.

The procurements include the Reshef-class corvettes that are due to replace the Israeli Navy’s aging Sa’ar 4.5-class missile boats, set to be retired after four decades.

Under a deal with Israel Shipyards, five Reshef-class corvettes will be built for the Navy, according to a statement.

The committee also approved the procurement of hundreds of light armored utility vehicles for the army, known as Joint Light Tactical Vehicle, or JLTV.

Pakistan''s polio tally hits 55 after 3 more children diagnosed with crippling disease
[GEO.TV] In a worrying development, Pakistain's polio
...Poliomyelitis is a disease caused by infection with the poliovirus. Between 1840 and the 1950s, polio was a worldwide epidemic. Since the development of polio vaccines the disease has been largely wiped out in the civilized world. However, since the vaccine is known to make Moslem pee-pees shrink and renders females sterile, bookish, and unsubmissive it is not widely used by the turban and automatic weapons set. Currently the disease is only found in Pakistain and Afghanistain...
virus tally has reached 55 after three more children were diagnosed with the crippling disease, sources told Geo News on Sunday.

As per details, two new polio cases have been reported in Balochistan
...the Pak province bordering Kandahar and Uruzgun provinces in Afghanistan and Sistan Baluchistan in Iran. Its native Baloch propulation is being displaced by Pashtuns and Punjabis and they aren't happy about it...
whereas one child has been affected by the virus in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa bringing the provinces' total to 26 and 14, respectively.

Confirming the new cases in Balochistan, the health department has said that one polio case was reported from Districts Zhob and Jaffarabad each.

District Zhob has now reported three, whereas District Jaffarabad's tally stands at two polio cases in the ongoing year, added the health department.

Balochistan has reported the highest number of poliovirus cases in 2024 followed by KP. Sindh has reported 13 cases, whereas Punjab
...1. Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2. A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3. A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots
...
.
and Islamabad have each reported one case of polio this year.

The fresh cases come as Pakistain remains one of the last two countries in the world where the wild poliovirus continues to spread.

This persistence is largely attributed to obstacles such as insecurity, misinformation, and community reluctance, which hinder vaccination efforts.

The highly contagious viral disease predominantly affects children under five, particularly those with weak immunity or inadequate vaccination.

Health authorities have time and again underscored the importance of vaccination campaigns to curb the spread of this preventable disease, which remains a significant public health challenge in the country.

Arabia
UAE arrests three suspects in killing of Israeli-Moldovan rabbi
Follow-up to this story from yesterday.
[JPost] Real? Or Sacrificial "Lambs"
We’re still within the 48-Hour Rule.
The United Arab Emirates arrested three suspects in the killing of Israeli-Moldovan Rabbi Zvi Kogan, the UAE's Interior Ministry (MOI) announced Sunday.

Kogan was reported missing by his family on Thursday.

A ministry statement did not give further details on the suspects but said the ministry would use "all legal powers to respond decisively and without leniency to any actions or attempts that threaten societal stability."

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office denounced Kogan's death as a "heinous antisemitic terrorist act."

"The murder of the late Zvi Kogan is a criminal antisemitic terrorist attack," the PMO said. "The State of Israel will act by all means and bring the criminals responsible for his death to justice."

Mossad and authorities in the Gulf country had opened the investigation based on information that Kogan’s disappearance may be related to "a terrorist incident."

"The Israeli mission in Abu Dhabi has been in contact with the family since the beginning of the incident and continues to support them during this difficult time," the PMO and Foreign Affairs Ministry stated. "His family in Israel has also been informed."

HOW WAS ZVI KOGAN FOUND?
Kogan’s body was found in the Emirati city of Al Ain, which borders Oman and is about an hour and a half from Dubai, though it is not clear if he was killed there or elsewhere, former Israeli Druze politician Ayoob Kara said.

Kara said he was waiting for the UAE to finish an investigation but blamed Iran for the murder.

"The one enemy [Israel has] today is the terror and Iran that supports the terror. The indication that we have now is this is the direction of the investigation," said Kara, a Likud member who works to promote economic relations between Israel and the Arab world.
Worst genocidal apartheid evah!
Information in Israel’s possession indicated that Kogan may have been under Iranian surveillance, reports said. Iran’s foreign ministry did not immediately respond to Reuters’ request for comment.

Kara said Kogan’s body would be sent to Israel for burial after the UAE finished investigating.
The Times of Israel adds:
Kogan, 28, who worked in the UAE for the Orthodox Jewish group Chabad, which seeks to support Jewish life for thousands of Jewish visitors and residents in the Gulf Arab state, vanished in Dubai, where he ran a kosher grocery store, on Thursday.

The Ynet news site reported that Kogan’s car was found abandoned in Al Ain. It added, without citing sources, that there were signs of a struggle in the vehicle. Officials suspect a number of Uzbek citizens recruited by Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
assaulted the rabbi and later fled to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
, the report said.

Tehran said it "categorically rejects the allegations of Iran’s involvement in the murder of this individual," Iran’s embassy in Abu Dhabi said in a statement to Rooters on Sunday.

IN ABU DHABI SINCE 2020
Kogan was a dual Israeli-Moldovan citizen, who reportedly served in the Israel Defense Forces’ Givati Brigade.

He had been part of the Abu Dhabi Chabad chapter since Israel normalized ties with the UAE in late 2020 under the US-brokered Abraham Accords.

According to Chabad, Kogan worked to expand Jewish life in the UAE alongside Chief Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Duchman, including ensuring the wide availability of kosher food and opening the first Jewish education center in the country.

The Rimon Market, a Kosher grocery store that Kogan managed on Dubai’s busy Al Wasl Road, was shut Sunday. As the wars have roiled the region, the store has been the target of online protests by pro-Paleostinian, anti-Israel protesters. Mezuzahs on the front and back doors of the market appeared to have been ripped off.

Kogan’s wife Rivky joined him at the posting after their wedding in 2022. She is the niece of Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg, who was murdered along with his wife in a terror attack at the Nariman Chabad House in Mumbai in 2008.

According to Ynet, Kogan participated in the first-ever Holocaust remembrance day ceremony in the Gulf state in 2021, and led the Yizkor prayer during the event.

TRAVEL WARNING
Israeli authorities reissued their recommendation against all non-essential travel to the UAE and said visitors now there should minimize movement, remain in secure areas, and avoid visiting places associated with Israel and Jewish populations.

Israelis have flocked to Dubai for commerce and tourism since the Emirates and Israel forged diplomatic ties under a 2020 US-brokered agreement, dubbed the Abraham Accords.

The UAE has a burgeoning Jewish community, with synagogues and businesses catering to kosher diners.

It has maintained the relationship forged through the Abraham Accords during the 13-month Israel-Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
war in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
However,
a person who gets all wrapped up in himself makes a mighty small package...
the public presence of Israelis and Jews in the UAE has appeared to recede since the devastating Hamas cross-border attack on Israeli communities on October 7, 2023, that killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and triggered the ongoing Gaza conflict, which has sparked protests worldwide.

Jewish community members in the UAE told Rooters that informal synagogues in Dubai were closed after the October 7, 2023, attack on Israel over security concerns, with Jews instead gathering to pray at home.

The one government-approved synagogue in the UAE remains open in Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital. There are no official synagogues in Dubai, the UAE’s biggest city and commercial hub.

There are no official statistics on the number of Jews or Israelis living in the country, but estimates from Jewish groups suggest the community numbers in the several thousand.

Biden admin exec order allowing US to sanction Americans undermining West Bank 'stability' prompts lawsuit
[FoxNews] 'The scope of this sanctioning authority is unprecedented,' the lawsuit states

A Biden administration executive order that allows the U.S. to sanction American Jews living in the West Bank prompted a group of Israelis to file suit against the lame-duck administration, challenging the constitutionality of the first of its kind sanction regime.

Following the Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel, President Biden signed an executive order (EO) in February, imposing sanctions on "persons undermining peace, security, and stability in the West Bank." As a result, the sanctioned individuals have had their bank accounts frozen, credit cards canceled and faced an inability to conduct basic life activities. Critics say the move allows the administration to sanction Jews in Israel who disagree with the administration’s policies, which they believe to be a violation of the constitutional rights of U.S. citizens in Israel and their supporters in America.

Biden said, in announcing the EO, that "the situation in the West Bank-in particular high levels of extremist settler violence, forced displacement of people and villages, and property destruction-has reached intolerable levels and constitutes a serious threat to the peace, security, and stability of the West Bank and Gaza, Israel, and the broader Middle East region."

In response, the American Christian nonprofit, Texans for Israel, and several American Jews living in Israel filed a lawsuit in federal court in August, challenging the EO on the grounds that it was a violation of their free speech rights, as well as their rights to due-process and equal-protection under the law.

"The scope of this sanctioning authority is unprecedented, as it targets beliefs held by many, if not most Americans," the lawsuit states.

Eugene Kontorovich, a professor at George Mason University Law School, who is a member of the legal team challenging the sanctions in federal court, told Fox News Digital that sanctions like those detailed in the lawsuit have been leveraged as a way to silence policy disagreements.

"The shocking thing is, after October 7, in February, while Israel has been in a war for its survival against an Iranian axis of multiple countries, the Biden administration took this time to implement a new and unprecedented sanctions regime targeted at Israelis and their supporters in America," because they simply don't agree with the administration's foreign policy, Kontorovich said.

If the Biden administration is permitted to enforce such sanctions, Kontorovich also said it could lead to retaliatory behavior from a different administration down the line.

"The Executive Order, if you read it carefully, says people who ‘destabilize’ the West Bank, and they're basically saying that the viewpoints that they have are bad for the West Bank... through vague and tenuous connections," Kontorovich said to Fox News Digital.

"They happen to have the power now, but obviously, if this is allowed, then it can be used both ways and that's why it's important to uphold constitutional rights in a neutral and fair way," he said.

In addition, the EO also stipulates anyone who engages in "violence" or "threat of violence" in the West Bank can be sanctioned, but Kontorovich argues that "violence" is defined by anti-Israel groups and can be applied to Jews who defend themselves in the face of a violent Palestinian attacker in an "arbitrary" way.

The U.S. government has relied upon data from the website of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), categorizing acts of self-defense by Jews and anti-terror operations by the Israel Defense Forces as settler violence, according to the lawsuit.

"At the same time, there is no evidence of any independent fact-finding or analysis by the USSC [United States Security Coordinator] or any other U.S. actor or independent investigator; instead, the USSC claims appear to echo statements and figures from highly politicized and biased organizations such as OCHA, discussed previously, and the far-left Israeli NGO B’Tselem," the lawsuit states.

"An examination of OCHA’s and B’Tselem’s reports reveals that there was not a consistent fact-finding methodology behind the data presented. Moreover, it shows several deceptive methods for inflating the data," the lawsuit adds. "These reports are tendentious, inaccurate, and inflammatory and should not form the basis of United States policy."

For example, after a Palestinian was shot dead after breaking on to a Jewish farm in the northern West Bank armed with a knife and explosives, the UN labeled him a victim of "settler violence."

Kontorovich said the EO focuses on talking points about the oft-repeated idea of the "epidemic of settler violence" in the West Bank, using "neutral" words indicating it targets anybody in the West Bank, not just Jews. He said this is misleading because "it has only been applied against Jewish individuals in a way that's clearly discriminatory." Notably, penalties have not been imposed on non-Jewish U.S. citizens in the West Bank who act in self-defense, the lawsuit states.

Kontorovich said to Fox News Digital that the sanctions have even targeted individuals outside the West Bank. Tzav 9, for example, is a group that protests in Israel against aid to Hamas in Gaza, which Kontorovich said demonstrates that the connection to the West Bank and Gaza does not have to be direct. The Biden administration froze the bank accounts of Reut Ben Haim, a mother of eight who lives in Israel, under the EO simply because she is an organizer of the 15,000-person grassroots movement.

Tzav 9’s members include hostage families and the bereaved families of soldiers, who have categorically denounced violence, but the group has been categorized as a "violent extremist Israeli group," by the State Department, which announced sanctions against the group on June 14. Notably, on June 10, U.S.-based human rights group, Democracy for the Arab World Now (DAWN), called on the State Department to sanction Tzav 9.

Shortly after being sanctioned, Reut’s bank account, including her small business account in Israel, was frozen. The administration's sanctions have also had a significant and detrimental effect on Reut's husband, Yosef Ben Chaim, who is a dual U.S.–Israeli citizen, according to the lawsuit. Since his wife's sanctioning, he has been unable to finance basic, day-to-day essentials, including food, education, medicine, hygiene products, mortgage payments and other daily expenses.

"He is an American citizen, so this is a violation of their First Amendment rights, violation of their due process rights and it's a violation of the equal protection, because this is really being done in a way that clearly targets Jews," Kontorovich said to Fox News Digital.

The Biden administration appears to be doubling down on its approach. The Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced a new round of sanctions on Monday. Additionally, last week, 88 congressional Democrats wrote a letter demanding that the Biden administration sanction Israeli government members and an Israeli NGO that reports on illegal Palestinian activities' destruction.

"The sanctions announced this week abandon even the pretext of requiring acts of violence - this created a clear chill on pro-Israel activism in the U.S., because one cannot know what partners in Israel will be sanctioned next," Kontorovich said.

He said the sanctions regime, which has been sparsely covered by the media, is an indication that the press is uninterested in stories critical of the administration.

"This is going to be a case which is going to proceed in the federal courts, and we hope that they will say the administration cannot use foreign sanctions in a way that essentially makes dissent on foreign policy impermissible," Kontorovich said.

Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for comment.

The buried lead in this article is not just the lawfare. The buried lead is that the media will wage a full scale propoganda war on the American public.

Democrats and the media are ready to go to war to ensure that something 70% of the country supports is stopped.

They are willing to use your tax dollars to tie up the federal government so they can’t deport criminals, Tren de Aragua gang members, potential terrorists and unvetted military aged men all being supported by your tax dollars.

The “champions” of democracy don’t care about who won the election. They are not going to just try to push back against what they perceive to be unconstitutional. Instead they will use lawfare and propaganda to ensure all illegals stay and you foot the bill.

Why? Because illegals will one day become democrat voters. And to them that is more important than your safety and security and prosperity.

The Trumpian revolution will aggressively go after criminal gang/cartel illegals, right down to third-tier strap-hanger levels from Day-One. Great optics and promise-keeping.

The resistance media. globalists and demokrats will bombard the airwaves, Facebook, podcasts and Tik-Tok with hyperbolic emoting about the "suffering", non-stop once the initial high-pri deportations are finished. Crying children and grandmothers every news cycle relentlessly covered.

After a year or more and several million worthy mutts have been re-located, the resistance surmises the conservative public itself will tire, will have seen enough emotional trauma to just want it all to go away. Voila, 10 million stay and the national demographics tilt further leftward towards entitlement-for-our-friends solutions.

I think that is what their macro-strategy of unfettered admittance has always been, flood the zone and nobody can put them all back where they came from, the 70% strategy! WASP America slowly ebbs to the hinterlands and 40 urban clusters give New Rome the plebs clamoring for bread and circuses. I wish I was wrong, but age and history seem to argue against my wishes!

Janet Yellen exiting office, leaving mess behind for Trump team
[NYPOST] The whiplash-inducing, ''Hunger Games''-style race to become Donald Trump's Treasury secretary made it easy for the media to ignore what has been going on with Janet Yellen — and the absolute mess she's leaving for her successor.

Yellen — who, it was revealed Friday, will be replaced as Treasury secretary in January by hedge fund mogul Scott Bessent — was Joe Biden's pick to run the office that is essentially the country's CFO.

Indeed, it could be the most important cabinet position in the White House given the importance of the US economy. Americans put Trump in office largely over his handling of the economy during his first term — job growth and wages that kept place with a low inflation rate.

Despite her gold-plated resume, Ivy League degrees, and time served as Fed chair, Yellen gave the country just the opposite. Her boss paid the price politically as the American people paid the price economically.

And according to my sources, the American people aren't done paying the price for Yellen's mismanagement even if most of the financial media is overlooking the fiscal time bomb she devised — one that could blow up once Trump takes office.

Specifically, my sources who follow the bond market say Yellen has been setting a trap for the incoming Trump administration through the way she financed the massive $1.8 trillion federal budget deficit that exploded during the Biden years with the accumulation of $36trillion in debt.

Yellen has been moving away from long-term debt to finance the shortfalls to shorter-dated securities, essentially rolling over deficits with more and more Treasury bills instead of the normal way of debt issuance through 10- and 30-year debt.

That's according to an analysis by Robbert van Batenburg of the influential Bear Traps Report, who estimates that around 30% of all debt is the short-term variety — aka 2-year and shorter notes — compared to 15% in 2023.

In an era of low interest rates, Yellen & Co. could have locked in relatively cheap interest payments for years by issuing more 10- and 30-year debt.

So why go there? Politics, according to Yellen's Wall Street critics.

Because the Biden administration has taken spending to new and some say unsustainable levels, Yellen needed to engage in a bit of financial chicanery to keep interest rates low and not spook the stock market during an election year, her critics say.

If she had financed deficits with 10- and 30-year bonds, that would have caused a rise in interest rates that impact consumers, i.e. mortgages and credit cards.

Defense forces: the Russian army is preparing to intensify its offensive in the south of the Donetsk region
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[LB] It is about the border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

by Ivanna Kapustyanskas

The Russians are trying to break through in the south of the Donetsk region. We are talking about the Dnieper direction, where the enemy is actively conducting combat reconnaissance in order to identify the positions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine and is preparing for assault operations.

This was stated by the spokesman of the Defense Forces of the South, Vladyslav Voloshyn, Armiya.Inform writes.

"On the Orihiv and Gulyaipil directions, the enemy is preparing to carry out assault actions and soon, there is a high probability that he will start assault actions, trying to wedge into our defense," Voloshyn notes.

The enemy is preparing small groups of infantry, which conduct classes specifically for assault operations. In addition, in the southern directions, the enemy drops ammunition, conducts aerial reconnaissance, using UAVs, engineering reconnaissance, advance routes.

"The enemy is actively trying to hit the previously identified ones in these directions... and finds out where our fire equipment is located, tries to suppress and destroy them in order to make it easier for them to conduct assault actions," the spokesman added.

During the past day, the enemy used combat equipment only to transport groups of infantry and, in the event of that, to support their assault actions with fire.

"The enemy is trying to break through to the south of Donetsk region, at the junction of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, where one of the largest settlements in this area is located - Velyka Novosilka," Vladyslav Voloshyn summarized.

The General Staff informs: 227 combat clashes were recorded during the past day. Most of the clashes were recorded in the Pokrovsk, Kurakhiv and Vremiv directions.

Government OKs measure to keep 320,000 reservists eligible for draft until March 2025
[IsraelTimes] The government approves the extension of a special measure raising the number of reservists the IDF is authorized to call up for service, a spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office confirms to The Times of Israel.

According to media reports, up to 320,000 reservists will remain eligible to be drafted until March 2025.

Tweeting ahead of the decision, Opposition Leader Yair Lapid slammed the government for extending the eligibility for service of people “who have been serving for 250 and 300 days.”

“If the government would recruit thousands of ultra-Orthodox youths, it would be possible to ease the burden on those who both serve and work,” he stated.

In June, the government raised the number of reservists the IDF was authorized to call up in case of need from 300,000 to 350,000 until August 1.

Blinken questioned for State Department hosting in-house therapy sessions after Trump win
[FoxNews] Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., demanded Blinken reveal how much the sessions cost the State Department

Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., took aim at Secretary of State Antony Blinken after it was reported that the State Department held therapy sessions for employees who were upset by President-elect Trump’s election victory.

"I am concerned that the Department is catering to federal employees who are personally devastated by the normal functioning of American democracy through the provision of government-funded mental health counseling because Kamala Harris was not elected President of the United States," Issa said in a letter to Blinken last week.

The letter comes after a Free Beacon report earlier this month that detailed two alleged therapy sessions that were held at the State Department after Trump’s victory, with sources telling the outlet that one such instance amounted to an information "cry session."

In his letter to Blinken, Issa argued that the reported sessions were "disturbing" and that "nonpartisan government officials" should not be suffering a "personal meltdown over the result of a free and fair election."

While the Republican lawmaker acknowledged that the mental health of the agency’s employees was important, he questioned the use of taxpayer dollars to counsel those upset about the election, demanding answers on how many sessions have been conducted, how many more are planned, and how much the sessions are costing the department.

Issa also raised fears that the sessions could also call into question the willingness of some of the State Department's employees to carry out Trump’s new vision for the agency.

"The mere fact that the Department is hosting these sessions raises significant questions about the willingness of its personnel to implement the lawful policy priorities that the American people elected President Trump to pursue and implement," the letter said. "The Trump Administration has a mandate for wholesale change in the foreign policy arena, and if foreign service officers cannot follow through on the American people’s preferences, they should resign and seek a political appointment in the next Democrat administration."

The State Department did not immediately respond to a Fox News Digital request for comment.

During offensive, IDF transfers patients from north Gaza hospital to safer areas

The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip hospital as part of a campaign that has seen hundreds moved from the perilous area of the Paleostinian enclave to safer regions.

It came as Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
-linked authorities said the hospital director was maimed in a dronezap on his medical facility, and the military issued new evacuation orders to residents in areas of an eastern Gaza City suburb from where rockets were fired at Israel on Saturday.

The IDF said it transferred 17 patients and their caregivers from the Kamal Adwan Hospital to other medical centers in Gaza on Saturday.

Kamal Adwan is one of three hospitals in north Gaza that are reported to be barely operational, due to a shortage of emergency medical, food, and fuel supplies amid a widescale IDF operation in northern Gaza aimed at stopping Hamas from regrouping in the area.

"In accordance with the directive of the political echelon, the IDF, through COGAT’s Coordination and Liaison Administration for Gaza (CLA), continues to act in accordance with international law to facilitate and support humanitarian responses for Gaza residents, particularly in the medical field," the IDF said in a joint statement with COGAT, which coordinates operations with the Paleostinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The patients and carers were moved using two ambulances, the statement said. The move was made as part of a drive "to protect residents along humanitarian evacuation routes and operational medical centers in the Gaza Strip," the IDF said.

Over the past few weeks, 323 patients, caregivers, and medical staff have been transferred from hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip, it said.

In addition, Israel supplied the Kamal Adwan Hospital with 60,000 liters of fuel, 230 crates of medical supplies and medication, 180 blood units, and eight trucks of food and water in recent weeks, the statement noted.

Hamas health officials said Sunday an Israeli drone carried out a strike on Kamal Adwan Hospital, injuring its director Hussam Abu Safiya.

"This will not stop us from completing our humanitarian mission and we will continue to do this job at any cost," Abu Safiya said in a video statement circulated by the health ministry on Sunday.

"We are being targeted daily. They targeted me a while ago but this will not deter us..." he said from his hospital bed.

Hospital staff have reported several strikes at the facility, while the World Health Organization chief said he was "deeply concerned about the safety and well-being of 80 patients, including eight in the intensive care unit" at Kamal Adwan Hospital.

Israel says Hamas has repeatedly used civilian areas like hospitals and schools as bases for their terror activities.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Alamo, Davy was wondering if Buck was okay. He suspected he wasn't...
new evacuation orders for the Shejaiya suburb of Gaza City posted by the Israeli army spokesperson on X on Saturday night were blamed on Paleostinian bandidos holy warriors firing rockets from that heavily built-up district in the north of the Gaza Strip.

"For your safety, you must evacuate immediately to the south," the military’s post said. The rocket volley on Saturday was claimed by Hamas’ armed wing, which said it had targeted an Israeli army base over the border.

Earlier Saturday the IDF said it intercepted two rockets that were launched from the southern Gaza Strip at Israeli border communities. There were no reports of injuries.

Footage circulated on social and Paleostinian media showed residents leaving Shejaiya on donkey carts and rickshaws, with others, including children carrying backpacks, walking. Families living in the areas began leaving their homes after nightfall on Saturday and into Sunday’s early hours, residents and Paleostinian media said — the latest in multiple waves of evacuations since the war began on October 7, 2023, when Paleostinian terror group Hamas led a massive cross-border attack on southern Israel that killed 1,200 people, mostly civilians, while 251 where taken as hostages to Gaza.

The Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza said Sunday that at least 44,211 people have been killed in more than 13 months of war, though the toll cannot be verified and does not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel says it has killed some 18,000 combatants in battle as of November and another 1,000 bandidos holy warriors inside Israel on October 7.

Israel has said it seeks to minimize civilian fatalities and stresses that Hamas uses Gaza’s civilians as human shields, fighting from civilian areas including homes, hospitals, schools, and mosques.

Vowing to stop Hamas from regrouping, Israel on October 6 began an air and ground operation in Jabalia and then expanded it to Beit Lahia.

Adding to the miseries of Gaza’s 2.3 million people, most of whom have been repeatedly displaced, heavy winter rain flooded hundreds of tents across the enclave, spoiling food and sweeping away plastic and cloth sheeting that had protected them against the elements. The Paleostinian Civil Emergency Service said thousands of displaced people were impacted by the seasonal flooding and demanded new tents and caravans from aid donors to shield them.

Two dead as India mosque survey sparks clashes
[GEO.TV] Indian Moslem protesters clashed with police Sunday with at least two people killed in riots sparked by a survey investigating if a 17th-century mosque was built on a Hindu temple.

"Two persons were confirmed dead," Pawan Kumar, a police officer in Sambhal in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, told AFP, adding that 16 coppers were "seriously injured" during the festivities.

The Press Trust of India news agency quoted officials saying three people had died.

Hindu activist groups have laid claim to several mosques they say were built over Hindu temples during the Moslem Mughal empire centuries ago.

Street battles broke out when a team of surveyors entered the Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal on orders from a local court, after a petition from a Hindu priest claiming it was built on the site of a Hindu temple.

Protesters on Sunday hurled rocks at police, who fired tear gas canisters to clear the crowd.

Hindu nationalist activists were emboldened earlier this year when Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a grand new Hindu temple in the northern city of Ayodhya, built on grounds once home to the centuries-old Babri mosque.

That mosque was torn down in 1992 in a campaign spearheaded by members of Modi's party, sparking sectarian riots that killed 2,000 people nationwide, most of them Moslems.

Some Hindu campaigners see an ideological patron in Modi.

Israel raises travel warning for Thailand amid ‘persistence of threat’
[IsraelTimes] The National Security Council raises the travel warning for Thailand to Level 2, nearly two weeks after an initial warning cited "the emergence of a potential threat to Israelis in the country."

The warning comes after a November 12 warning calling on Israelis to display increased vigilance, and the NSC says it is issuing the raised warning now "in light of the persistence of the threat."

The NSC stresses that the threat has not grown but the council is "sharpening" its recommendations.

Israelis should "avoid attending large-scale events associated with Israel, with an emphasis on those announced in advance, or places of entertainment and gathering associated with Israel. Notify local security forces if you are exposed to hostile activity targeting Israelis," the NSC says.

The November 12 warning came as Thai police reportedly warned of a terror plot at the November 15 Full Moon party on the popular vacation island of Koh Phangan.

IDF: Over 150 Hezbollah sites raided, dozens of operatives killed in recent south Lebanon ground ops
[IsraelTimes] The IDF’s 36th Division has raided over 150 Hezbollah sites and killed dozens of operatives during recent ground operations in southern Lebanon, the military says.

The division is operating in the western sector of southern Lebanon with the Golani Infantry Brigade, 188th Armored Brigade, the 282nd Artillery Regiment — which crossed into Lebanon for the first time in 24 years — and the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit.

The IDF says the troops during their operations have located numerous weapons, rocket launchers, bunkers, and Hezbollah fighting positions that posed a threat to northern Israel.

The forces have also killed “a large number” of Hezbollah gunmen in close-quarters fighting and by calling in airstrikes, the military adds.

IDF unaware of Hezbollah claims it destroyed 6 tanks in southern Lebanon

[IsraelTimes] The Israeli military says it is unaware of any incident supporting claims made by Hezbollah today that the terror group managed to destroy six tanks during fighting in southern Lebanon.

In a statement, Hezbollah alleges that it “destroyed” five Israeli tanks including one that “attempted to advance to withdraw one of the destroyed tanks,” on the eastern outskirts of Bayada, a village close to the coast about 10 kilometers (some six miles) from Israel’s border.

In a separate statement, Hezbollah claimed to have destroyed another IDF tank in the Deir Mimas area, just north of the Metula area, in the eastern portion of the border.

A military source tells The Times of Israel that the IDF is unaware of any such events.

Hezbollah has made numerous false claims during the ongoing fighting, including this morning when the terror group said it launched drones at the Ashdod Naval Base in southern Israel and “hit their targets accurately.” No drones were launched at Israel at that time, and none has reached southern Israel.

Indonesian authorities warn of surge in Karangetang volcano activity
Dierct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Indonesian authorities have warned of a surge in activity at the Karangetang volcano on Siwu Island. This could lead to powerful pyroclastic flows descending from the summit, Antara reported on November 24, citing data from the Geological Agency of the country's Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

"Beware of pyroclastic flows when the old lava dome on top of the mountain collapses," Antara quotes the head of the Geological Agency, Muhammad Wafid, as saying .

He also explained that pyroclastic flows from the volcano could form due to the accumulation of lava and mudflows during rains. According to the expert's assumptions, the magma that has accumulated inside the volcano will begin to move from the depths of the crater to its surface.

There are currently about 130 active volcanoes in Indonesia. Karangetang is considered one of the most active. Due to its structure, eruptions are often accompanied by lava flows.

On November 4, Regnum reported that at least ten people were killed in the Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara as a result of the eruption of the Lewotobi volcano. During the eruption, some houses in the village of Klatanlo in the Ulangitan district were destroyed by rocks falling from the top of the mountain.

Previously, geologist experts studying the annual rings of semi-fossil trees in Yamal were able to determine the exact date of one of the largest volcanic eruptions in the last 10 thousand years. It occurred on the Kikai volcano in 5279 BC

Trump vs. the Men Without Chests
[JOHNKASSNEWS] I'm guessing that you are sitting there reading this column on a civilized Sunday morning, with a good cup of coffee and perhaps a sweet roll from Calumet Bakery or some other fine pastry shop. May I also suggest enlightened and cultured music of the baroque coming from the smart speaker, perhaps the "Four Seasons" by Vivaldi?

So, I figure that the last thing on your mind would be you spitting out a mouthful of bloody chiclets on the sidewalk, with your wife screaming for the police. And your friends on all fours, nauseous on the pavement. And other friends stumbling about, groaning through bloody lips.

But that's what happens in a street fight.

And that's where you are, in a street fight, even if you don't quite fully comprehend it yet.

The once-and-future president Donald J. Trump is in a vicious street fight with the Washington establishment that has long wanted him jailed or dead. And this means all of us are in that street fight too, whether you like it or not.

The fight is over the change that the American people voted for, which is precisely what the Washington establishment-I call them the Combine-is threatened by. And they're using their allies in media and the federal Deep State to crush Trump and keep the status quo and maintain their power. They're angry as wounded cats that crawled under your porch to die. You can hear them under there.

So cowboy up. Man up or woman up, whatever you want to call it. Wake the bleep up.

Where did you think you are? Dreaming in Narnia?

Narnia is the fantasy land of huggable forest fauns offering tea and cakes and naps to well-mannered children, and Christ-like lion allegories, Turkish delights and strange winged creatures. Narnia was to be found behind a giant wardrobe in a great old country house. It was created by the great Christian moralist C.S. Lewis who wrote the "Chronicles of Narnia." He also wrote many other books and essays and gave many talks and speeches.
Narnia is also full of set piece battles to the death and the good guys having to choose between surrendering to evil or pushing through life-threatening danger and discomfort to a happy ending that might or might not be at the end of the work. C.S. Lewis wrote serious allegory there, not pretty fairies-at-the-bottom-of-the-garden stories for children.
One book without forest fauns was the 1943 book "The Abolition of Man" and he devoted time examining those who reduce human beings to creatures of either the intellect or base impulses.

And they reached down to their hearts and removed their souls. These soulless he called the Men without chests. You can see them everywhere these days.

"We make men without chests and expect from them virtue and enterprise. We laugh at honor and are shocked to find traitors in our midst."

The men without chests are quite at home in Washington D.C. and among modern academics who constantly defer to expertise and authority, which is one way to separate the soul from your heart. It's also a way to give up American liberty. The men without chests are most comfortable in politics where they burrow in to avoid accountability, and into the federal bureaucracy, where they been allowed to rule for decades without pushback from the American people. As I type a final draft of this on a Saturday, the noted Fox News Washington establishment pearl-clutcher Neal Cavuto, who replaced Chris Wallace in the network's pearl-clutching role, pretends he's worried and shocked about Trump's proposed cabinet selections.

Cavuto clutched his pearls on Trump's selection of Trump loyalist and firebrand Matt Gaetz as attorney general, Fox News host and decorated combat veteran Pete Hegseth as defense secretary, former Democrat presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard as director of national intelligence and Robert F. Kennedy Jr for Secretary of Health and Human Services among others. They promised change and the establishment wants to weaken him and destroy them.

Gaetz exposed the Department of Justice and cross-examined corrupt operatives pushing the Russia collusion hoax. In turn he was smeared by anonymous sources in corrupt media that alleged he was involved in sex trafficking and other rumored crimes, but he was never charged.

They are tough street fighters, and Trump wanted fighters to open his second term because in his first term, the Deep State-that some call the Swamp or the "uniparty"-attacked him unfairly, undermining his administration with a series of lies fed by Democrat Hillary Clinton to her allies at FBI and CIA and carried by the corporate legacy media. The Democrats got what they wanted. They tried to use the Justice Department to bankrupt and destroy him. Two assassins tried to kill him, even as Democrats stoked and provoked the mentally unstable by portraying him as Hitler. The American people rebelled at this, and on November 5. Trump won the electoral college in a landslide, also the popular vote as Republicans took the House and the Senate as well. And Democrats have not recovered.

"No president elect has moved so fast assembling a team," cried Cavuto, as he welcomed South Carolina Democrat James Clyburn who gave us Kamala Harris. Clyburn played the Hitler card on Trump without much pushback from the mealy-mouthed Combine cheerleader Cavuto. And as for C.S. Lewis, there is a free course on him that I'm eager to join at Hillsdale College online.

But this is not a course on C.S. Lewis. It is a column on getting through a street fight unscathed. There is no such thing.

I am by no means an expert on getting through unscathed. It's impossible. I have spat out my share of bloody chiclets. And I confess that I once smashed an angry man in the fist with my chin on St. Patrick's Day many years ago. I showed him mercy. The surgeon wired my mouth shut, and I couldn't eat solid foods for 15 weeks, and though I started as a heavyweight, I ended up as a lightweight eating only milkshakes. And later Betty and I ran into each other, she noticed I was skinny and took pity on me. We got married.

But that's a story for another time.

In the story I'm writing now, those men without chests are all over the news, clutching their pearls, telling us that Trump's proposed cabinet selections are a disaster.

They remind me of the Jack Hawkins character, the crazy minister in the film "Zulu," Hawkins screaming "We're all going to die!!!! We're all going to die!!"

The Washington establishment pearl-clutchers are not proud Zulu warriors. They don't come at you from the front. The Men Without Chests, too are vicious, but they prefer knifing from behind. They don't stand and throw hands. They'd rather have others do it.

Some of Trump's cabinet nominees have driven the left beyond madness, into the insanity best expressed in padded cells. U.D. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., is facing backlash online for claiming that Tulsie Gabbard, President-elect Trump's pick for Director of National Intelligence (DNI), is "likely a Russian asset." That seems like a poisonous culture bred in Hillary Clinton’s large box of wine. And Gaetz makes them ill. But he's loyal. And Trump needs loyalists around him or the election will be a failure.

I know that communists and hysterical jacobins like those leftists I once worked with at "the paper" will pitch fits over Gaetz and Hegseth. But this is political trench warfare. If Gaetz steps away from the Constitution I'll be among the first to demand his head. But he deserves a Senate hearing. And Hegseth wants to drive the DEI and pronoun idiocracy from the Pentagon, restoring the U.S. Military to what it does best: Killing America's enemies and breaking things. Kennedy is an enemy of Big Pharma, but for decades Big Pharma has paid off federal regulators one way or another. And children are now obese, becoming diabetic and worse. And Gabbard like Gaetz and others, have been hunted, and smeared by the Deep State, with Hillary Clinton and Wasserman Schultz cackling maliciously. All they need now is a boiling cauldron and a few toads for their soup.

Republican John Cornyn, the Deep State's Senator from Texas, wants to sabotage the Gaetz nomination and others. If he's successful I hope he enjoys being primaried by pro-Trump Texas conservatives. And if Cornyn stops Gaetz, there are others in line, like conservative Republican lawyer Mike Davis and former Supreme Court clerk would be the Deep State's worst nightmare. As Trump's U.S. Attorney General Davis would tear into them like a Manchester Terrier hunting rats in a barn.

"And now the hunters have become the hunted," said my friend Thom Serafin of Serafin & Associates on the Chicago Way podcast I co-host with WGN radio producer Jeff Carlin. Indeed.

And another friend wise in the ways of politics-a fan of old time country music-mentioned an old song by Patti Page titled "Conquest:"

And then in the strange way things happen
Their roles were reversed from that day
The hunted became the huntress
The hunter became the prey

Trump's landslide victory and the speed with which he's made cabinet appointments might be too much for some to deal with. If so, I'd recommend everyone take a deep breath and realize that the corrupt and broken corporate legacy media is dying. Avoid them. The hunters have become the hunted. The Deep State is terrified. And that's why their agents are squealing like cornered rats.
There are a couple of links Mr. Kass has noted at this point in his piece, but they would break the RB algorithm. RTWT
The hunters of the Deep State have become the hunted. And the hunted, with names like Gabbard, Gaetz, Kennedy and Hegseth have become the hunters.

The American people voted for change in this election. They wanted their borders secure, and the illegal migrants and violent criminals deported out of America. They voted for government efficiency and an end to the woke military. They wanted an end to the FBI investigating parents at school board meetings. They want an end to the federal police investigating Roman Catholics as potential terrorists merely for attending Latin mass and an end to the fentanyl pouring across the border killing our kids.

They want the Deep State defanged and leashed, prevented from targeting Americans for our political beliefs.

We demand those changes. And you want the changes you voted for, then you must contact your Senators and demand you want those changes to happen and demand that Trump's streetfighters are confirmed. The men without chests who refuse will find out what it's like to be targeted in the political primaries, taken out and removed. Not with violence. But with righteous American votes. That's no brag, just fact.

The hunter has become the hunted.

We're Americans, and we ‘ve been asleep for a long time. But now we're awake. All 76 million of us.

And we won't be prey in our own country any more.

#3  That "landslide victory" was just in the Electoral vote. The margin of votes cast was narrower, but it was still a big win. The confidence and arrogance of the 40-odd % of Blob voters has definitely been shaken.
Our situation reminds me of a fragment of a conversation between myself and an ER patient with a persistent delusion of a radio implanted in his brain years earlier by alien enemies. I gave him a short dose of what Frank Farrelly called 'provocative therapy'. The patient was jarred a bit out of his preoccupation and changed the direction of the conversation when he asked, "Doc, do you think I'm crazy?"

Apparently, Mexico has been cheating on the Free Trade Agreement-Fearing Trump Compliance Demand – Mexico Quickly Looking for Alternatives to Chinese Parts and Components
[ConservativeTreehouse] Boy howdy, this article by The Associated Press is very telling.

First, it’s worth remembering that in the fine print of the USMCA deal, Mexico and Canada must comply with North American parts origination for anything they want to manufacture for sale into the United States. Meaning, all trade manufacturers must either create their component parts domestically, or purchase them from the U.S, Mexico and Canada. It’s the core point of the USMCA trade agreement.

Secondly, in an aspect exclusive to the U.S. part of the deal that President Trump and USTR Lighthizer
… I don’t know what USTR means, but the writer presumably refers to Robert Lighthizer, former Reagan official and China skeptic tapped by President Trump to be his chief trade negotiator starting in January…
insisted upon, if either Canada or Mexico are deemed to be non-compliant with the agreement, the USA can cancel/override any trade agreement Mexico or Canada have with another nation. It’s a heavy accountability hammer securing the gate into the massive USA market.

In an AP report today, Mexico is scrambling to find local or North American sources of parts and components, because President Trump is set to come into office and look at USMCA compliance. Apparently, Mexico has been using excessive amounts of Chinese component parts for goods being sent into the USA and Canada. Now they are quickly trying to source alternatives.

MEXICO CITY (AP) — Mexico has been taking a bashing lately for allegedly serving as a conduit for Chinese parts and products into North America, and officials here are afraid a re-elected Donald Trump or politically struggling Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau could try to leave their country out of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada free trade agreement.

Mexico’s ruling Morena party is so afraid of losing the trade deal that President Claudia Sheinbaum said Friday the government has gone on a campaign to get companies to replace Chinese parts with locally made ones.

“We have a plan with the aim of substituting these imports that come from China, and producing the majority of them in Mexico, either with Mexican companies or primarily North American companies,” Sheinbaum said.

While Sheinbaum claimed Mexico had been working on that effort since the 2021 global supply chain crisis — when factories around the world were stalled by a lack of parts and particularly computer chips from Asia — it appears to be an uphill battle. Even the United States has faced big challenges in moving chip production back home despite billions in subsidies and incentives.

Mexico gained tens of thousands of jobs when U.S. and foreign automakers moved their plants to Mexico under the free trade pact to take advantage of much lower wages. But the idea that Chinese parts — or even whole cars — could be piggybacking on that arrangement to further hollow out the U.S. auto industry has enraged some people north of the border.

So Mexico is scrambling with private companies to get them to move parts production here.

“Next year, God willing, we are going to start making microchips in Mexico,” Mexican Economy Secretary Marcelo Ebrard said on Thursday. “Of course they’re not yet the most advanced chips, but we are going to start producing them here.” (read more)

It’s amazing how the results of a USA election can almost instantly change the behavior of multinational corporations and the governments’ they bribe.

However, it does lend a person to wonder why the Mexicans and Canadians didn’t have to worry about rule enforcement when Joe Biden was in office?

#6  Canada has already been moving on the idea to kick Mexico out of the bilateral trade agreement.

Bit of what is going on. Mexico has mines, manufacturing plants, farms, etc. that Mexicans operate and own. China comes in and slips some money in the right places and then buys them up.
Currently China is forbitten to import a lot of these that are made in the US or the trade partners. They are getting around this and sending the hard currency back into China to fund their economy and stiffing the locals.

Same thing is starting in Peru now as well and the main port Peru has, China now owns and it is a deep water port.

Several of the recruits claimed they were approached in July by the Al Jabri company — founded by prominent Houthi politician Abdulwali Abdo Hassan al-Jabri — with the promise of securing a new life in Russia, the Financial Times reports.

Instead, the men were reportedly coerced to sign an enlistment contract they could not read and shipped off to the frontlines as part of a growing relationship between the Kremlin and the Houthi rebels.Officials fear a growing connection with Russia and the Iran-backed terror group, which continues to attack ships in the Red Sea.

Officials fear a growing connection with Russia and the Iran-backed terror group, which continues to attack ships in the Red Sea.

One recruit, identified only as Nabil, told the FT he was just one of some 200 Yemenis forcibly conscripted into the Russian army in September, noting that many of them had no military training at all.

Nabil said he joined Al Jabri, which is registered as a tour operator and retail supplier, in hopes of securing a job in security or engineering to pay for his studies back home.

A month later, he found himself tossed in the front lines, dressed in Russian military wear and hiding in a forest from a Ukraine counter strike.

Others told the outlet they were promised a salary of $2,000 a month, with a $10,000 bonus, to work in Russia manufacturing plants, only to find themselves forced at gunpoint to enlist in the army once they arrived in Moscow.

Representatives for al-Jabri and his company could not be immediately reached for comment.

Farea al Moslemi, an expert on the Gulf region, said it was clear Russia needed to replenish its frontline troops, with Western intelligence alleging Moscow has had 700,000 Russians injured or killed since its invasion began in 2022.

The situation has only gotten worse for Russia recently, with officials claiming the Kremlin lost an average of 1,500 soldiers a day in October, the worst month of casualties for Moscow as the war approaches its third year.

Somalia Airstrike Targets Senior Al-Shabaab Leaders

Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) prepared for exit from the country, to pave the way for new peacekeepers — The African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM).

In recent years, the Somali National Army (SNA) in partnership with the US Africa Command and the ATMIS contingent, has launched a series of airstrikes in al-Shabaab strongholds, leading to massive destruction of infrastructures built by the group.

Friday's airstrike was unleashed in the Haway area near Sablale town in Somalia's Lower Shabelle region, local officials reported. The strike resulted in at least 12 deaths, three of whom were commanders besides injuring several big shots.

The commanders are said to have been in a meeting at the time the military struck, officials said. The group is said to have been planning multiple attacks across the region before their plans were unearthed by the Somali National Army along with partners.

Aerial surveillance provided by the Americans and the peacekeepers is instrumental in the fight against al-Shabaab, a group seeking to topple the fragile UN-backed federal government of Somalia. The al-Shabaab lacks aerial capability and usually struggles in frontlines.

Sablale, located about 200 kilometers (124 miles) from Somalia's capital, Mogadishu, is reportedly a key command center for al-Shabaab operations in the southern region. It's unclear which country carried out the airstrike but the US military is known for such operations in Somalia.

A few weeks ago, the US military reported crashing of its drone in Somalia but ruled out al-Shabaab. The U.S. Army-operated MQ-1C crashed in southern Somalia at approximately 12:40 PM local on Nov. 5 according to the statement by the command.

The al-Shabaab group lost large swathes of rural central and southern regions following a recent operation by the Somali National Army (SNA) with the help of allies. The military is currently involved in active operations within southern and central regions.
The operation, which occurred around 10:48 p.m. local time on November 22, targeted a group of militants, including three high-ranking commanders. According to military sources, this strike was seen as a significant disruption to Al-Shabaab’s command structure.

Reports from the region indicate that the airstrike was aimed at reducing the operational capacity of Al-Shabaab, the militant Islamist group linked to al-Qaida, which has been launching attacks in Somalia for years. The use of air strikes has become a common tactic in the ongoing conflict to minimize risks to ground troops and local civilians.

Iran says it ‘immediately’ activated new, advanced centrifuges after IAEA censure
[IsraelTimes] Parliament speaker says Western-backed resolution abuses UN watchdog; Tehran set to hold talks with European powers Friday

Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
has begun to activate several new and advanced centrifuges for uranium enrichment in reaction to a resolution by the UN’s nuclear watchdog censuring the Islamic Theocratic Republic, its parliament speaker said Sunday.

At a session of the Majles, Iran’s parliament, Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf slammed the resolution by the ineffective International Atomic Energy Agency’s Board of Governors and said Iran had followed through on its threat to turn on the advanced enrichment machines.

"The Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran’s reciprocal response to this political misuse of the Board of Governors was immediately put into action, and the deployment of a set of new and advanced centrifuges has begun," he said, according to quotes reported by Iran International.

Activating new centrifuges further advances Iran’s nuclear program, which already enriches uranium at near-weapons-grade levels and boasts a stockpile enough for several nuclear bombs if it chooses to pursue them. The IAEA last announced in June that Iran had begun spinning new centrifuges, and planned to deploy more.

The IAEA resolution approved on Thursday was proposed by Britannia, La Belle France, Germany, and the United States, and requires the IAEA to produce a "comprehensive and updated assessment" of Iran’s nuclear activities, which could eventually trigger a referral to the UN Security Council to consider more sanctions on Tehran.

It came on the heels of a confidential report last week in which the IAEA said Iran has defied international demands to rein in its nuclear program.

That report, seen by the AP on Tuesday, said that as of October 26, Iran had accumulated 182.3 kilograms (401.9 pounds) of uranium enriched up to 60 percent, an increase of 17.6 kilograms (38.8 pounds) since the last IAEA report in August. Uranium enriched at 60% purity is just a short, technical step away from weapons-grade levels of 90%.

Meanwhile,
...back at the pie fight, Bella opened her mouth at precisely the wrong moment...
Iran plans to hold talks about its disputed nuclear program with three European powers on November 29 in Geneva, Japan’s Kyodo news agency reported on Sunday.

Kyodo said Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s government was seeking a solution to the nuclear impasse ahead of the inauguration in January of US President-elect Donald Trump
...Perhaps no man has ever had as much fun being president of the US...
A senior Iranian official confirmed that the meeting would go ahead next Friday, adding that "Tehran has always believed that the nuclear issue should be resolved through diplomacy. Iran has never left the talks."

Filipino father of slain IDF soldier to be granted permanent residency in Israel
[IsraelTimes] Enrico Basilio was deported to the Philippines when his son Cedrick Garin was just 2 years old, but was promised permanent residency after Cedrick was killed in Gaza

Interior Minister Moshe Arbel announced on Sunday that the father of slain IDF reservist Cedrick Garin would be granted permanent residency in Israel later this week, Hebrew media reported.

Enrico Basilio was deported from Israel to the Philippines some 22 years ago, when his son was just 2 years old. On Monday, he will visit the Population and Immigration Authority in Tel Aviv, where he will receive his permanent resident visa.

Basilio returned to Israel in January of this year for the first time since he was deported, in order to attend his son’s funeral. The 23-year-old IDF reservist was among 21 soldiers who were killed in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
in January, when a deadly RPG attack collapsed two buildings with soldiers inside.

As Basilio was deported when Cedrick was just 2 years old, the boy was raised solely by his mother, Imelda, also originally from the Philippines, who retained her status as a temporary resident even after Cedrick received citizenship upon the completion of his IDF service.

Following Cedrick’s death, Arbel instructed the Population and Immigration Authority to grant citizenship to both of his parents, saying at the time that they had "sacrificed what was most precious to them for the country, and we need to be by their side at this time."

In a statement cited by Ynet on Sunday, Arbel said that the decision to issue the permanent residency visa to Basilio was a show of "gratitude for Cedrick’s heroism and sacrifice for the country."

"We will continue to stand by these families, who raised their children to serve and protect the country," he added.

Cedrick completed his mandatory military service as a combat soldier in the Givati Brigade, and shortly before he was discharged in 2021, he received a certificate of distinction from the head of the IDF’s Southern Command.

His journey to get there was not straightforward, however, as he had dropped out during his last year of high school and got into trouble with the law. But then he turned his life around, and, as he was determined to serve his adopted country, he pleaded with military officials to allow him to enlist.

Cedrick hoped to pursue a career in security, as he was presented on the IDF website in 2021 after he received a certificate of distinction: "I discovered [during my IDF service] that I love it... Every time I am guarding... I feel like, ’Wow, people can sleep in peace because of us. Because I am here.’ That’s what I want to do my whole life."

His ultimate goal was to provide financially for his mother, Imelda, so that she could stop working, his wife, Daniela, recounted at his funeral. For himself, she said, he envisioned "a messy house full of children and noise."

Boat accident leaves 22 Somalis dead in Indian Ocean
[ShabelleMedia] At least 22 Somali immigrants colonists died after their boat capsized in the Indian Ocean, an official confirmed, adding that the tragedy took place off the coast of Madagascar, in what has been termed an 'awful accident'.
and a 'horrible lesson'
Abdullahi Warfa, Somalia’s ambassador to Æthiopia, said that the boat was carrying 70 passengers at the time of the accident — all being Somali nationals. The bodies were found on Saturday, he added.

According to the envoy, 48 passengers were rescued by fishermen and have since been admitted to various hospitals for advanced treatment. It is not clear when the incident took place according to reports.

"An investigation is underway and we have the names of the victims and we will share them through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs," he said.

The government did not elaborate on the cause of the accident. There has been a proliferation of migrant deaths within the Indian Ocean in recent months with most incidents associated with an overload of passengers.

At least 24 people died after a boat sank off the coast of the Comoros Islands, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said earlier this month.

Most of the victims are usually women, children, and infants. In September, 12 died on the coast of Anjouan in the Comoros island chain and never reached Mayotte, an island of the archipelago of Comoros. In August, 8 people died from a similar incident.

With harsh economic times in Somalia, most people migrate to other countries albeit illegally to look for greener pastures. Somalia is one of the poorest countries in the world and has often struggled to offset its debts owed to various global lenders.

Haaretz publisher calls Palestinian terrorists ‘freedom fighters' in newly revealed speech, Israeli gov’t cuts ties
[JPost] Why I don't link Haaretz
Indeed. Also, everything interesting is paywalled. But this is long overdue.
Schocken's comments were described as inflammatory, particularly in light of his earlier statements at a conference in London.

Haaretz publisher Amos Schocken is facing renewed backlash after a recently revealed speech in which he referred to Palestinian terrorists as "freedom fighters" and called for sanctions against Israeli leaders and settlers.

The speech, which was delivered at a conference hosted by the New Israel Fund and the Berl Katznelson Foundation on October 8 in Israel, was uncovered by Channel 14 through the New Israel Fund's YouTube channel.

Schocken's comments were described as inflammatory, particularly in light of his earlier statements at a conference in London, which had already prompted the Israeli government to cut all ties with Haaretz.

In his October 8 speech, Schocken stated:

"The Netanyahu government wants to continue and intensify illegal settlement in the territories that were meant for a Palestinian state. It doesn’t care about imposing a cruel apartheid regime on the Palestinian population. It dismisses the costs of both sides for defending the settlements while fighting the Palestinian freedom fighters that Israel calls terrorists."

He further argued that the only way to advance the establishment of a Palestinian state was through international sanctions:

"A Palestinian state must be established, and the only way to achieve this is by applying sanctions against Israel’s leaders and settlers in the occupied territories."

The audience reportedly applauded his remarks, highlighting the divide between Israeli and international discourse on the matter.

GOVERNMENT CUTS TIES WITH HAARETZ
The Israeli government had already moved to sever all ties with Haaretz following Schocken’s statements at a London conference earlier this year, where he called for sanctions against Israel’s leaders and accused the government of perpetuating apartheid policies.

At its weekly meeting on Sunday, the cabinet unanimously approved Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi’s proposal to cease all engagement with Haaretz, including halting government advertisements in the publication.

Karhi condemned Schocken’s rhetoric, stating:

"It is unacceptable for the publisher of an official newspaper in the State of Israel to call for sanctions against it and support the state’s enemies in the midst of a war."

The government’s decision also cited Haaretz’s role in publishing articles that allegedly undermined Israel’s legitimacy on the international stage.
They pride themselves on being the New York Times of Israel… which is precisely what they are.

-Signs, Portents, and the Weather-
The West has warned Ukraine about 'deadly' frosts
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Ukraine could face “severe and deadly” frosts this winter because the country has failed to protect its energy system facilities, the British newspaper The Times reported.

"Kiev's failure to build protection for electrical substations... left the country vulnerable to winter," the publication notes.

The authors of the article specified that back in February 2024, engineers from Britain, the USA, Germany and Japan recommended that Ukrainian specialists build structures to protect energy facilities from strikes. They were talking about bunkers for electrical substations, which are considered the "third level of protection."

The publication also emphasizes that for nine months the Ukrainian authorities have done nothing to achieve this. Journalists suggested that such a result could be the result of corruption in Ukrainian departments.

The article also says that approximately 80% of Ukraine's energy infrastructure is damaged or destroyed, which could leave the country facing serious problems this coming winter.

As reported by the Regnum news agency, on September 25, the head of the Kyiv regime, Volodymyr Zelensky, said that all thermal power plants and almost all hydroelectric power plants had been destroyed in Ukraine. He also added that many people in the country would be left without electricity in the winter.

On November 4, the British newspaper Daily Express wrote that in Ukraine, as preparations for the upcoming winter began, concerns arose about possible long-term power outages. According to journalists, Ukrainian authorities fear that the power could be out for 14 hours a day.

On November 17, Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko announced a massive attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. He claimed that the strikes had hit facilities across the country. Following the official's statement, emergency power outages were introduced in regions of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga called this attack one of the largest on the country's critical infrastructure. The Russian Defense Ministry released information that Russian military forces launched a massive strike on energy and gas production facilities used for the military-industrial complex, as well as military enterprises in Ukraine.

In April 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russia was forced to respond to Ukraine's attacks on Russia's energy facilities. In addition, the head of state also emphasized that, for humanitarian reasons, the Russian Armed Forces did not carry out attacks in the winter so as not to leave Ukrainian social institutions and hospitals without energy supply.

Oreshnik IRBM:: 'Random or undesired movements have been meticulously minimized'
[X] Quick analysis. It’s true that sub-munitions are affected by random motions, but this "six-pack" configuration of sub-munitions, perfectly parallel & aligned, demonstrates that random or undesired movements have been meticulously minimized. This ensures any significant increase in CEP (Circular Error Probable) is avoided. As previously calculated, the speed of sub-munitions are in the high-hypersonic regime, meaning the Russian designers pretty much cared about reducing unwanted motions! 1/6

Considering that each group of RVs takes about 0.5s to reach the ground from the cloud, which is about 2 km from the earth's surface, the RVs reach the ground at a speed of about 4 km/s or almost Mach 12. This is breathtaking & staggering! There is no defense against it! 1/4

Note that RVs enter the atmosphere at staggering speeds, typically 16-20 times the speed of sound, traversing the atmosphere in about 20 seconds or reaching altitudes of 20–30 km in around 10 seconds. 3/6

At these speeds, random motions could destroy the sub-munitions, making stability critical. There’s no real need for sub-munitions to perform random or letting suffer from erratic motions by the surrounding. 4/6

They travel far too quickly & are dispersed extensively to be intercepted by any modern air defense systems. If the Oreshnik is capable of maneuvering or executing a wavy flight pattern during or in the final part of the mid-course phase, it would neutralize long range missile defenses even before reentry. It would effectively render interception in the mid-course phase a losing battle.

Lebanon says 15 killed in Israeli strike on central Beirut
[GEO.TV] Lebanon said an Israeli air strike in the heart of Beirut that brought down a residential building and jolted residents across the city killed at least 15 people on Saturday.

A Lebanese security source told AFP that the strike had "targeted a leading Hezbollah figure", but a Hezbollah lawmaker denied any official of the Iran-backed group was present.

The attack in the capital was followed by others in the city's southern suburbs after calls by the Israeli military to evacuate.

The Grand Turk
Rozhin: 9 years ago the Turks shot down our Su-24
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[ColonelCassad] Today marks 9 years since the Turks shot down our Su-24 in 2015.

Then our "friendship" with "friend Recep" ended. Then there was the period of tomato sanctions, the resignation of Prime Minister Davutoglu, who gave the order to fire, covert negotiations mediated by Kazakhstan, an attempted military coup and assassination of Erdogan, where Russia helped Erdogan survive. And finally, a new format of relations "nothing personal, just business", which continues to this day.

About the people connected with this story:
Some of the militants involved in it were killed during the Syrian war (but some are still alive and hanging out either in Turkey or in Idlib/Jarablus), and Celik served some time on another charge, but not shooting at our pilot. Celik served 5 years.

The pilots who shot down Peshkov's plane were later involved in the case of the attempted coup of 2016 and were accused of involvement in the terrorist organization of Gulen. The case eventually died down.
Davutoglu essentially became a scapegoat and largely buried his presidential ambitions. "Friend Recep" expressed condolences for the Su-24 story very crookedly.
So there is some uncertainty regarding the personal responsibility of the perpetrators.

Well, in terms of the "blood for blood" issue, the Turks were settled in 2020, when airstrikes hit a mechanized column of the Turkish army in Idlib (the Turks admitted 35 killed, unofficial sources claimed 68). The Syrian Air Force accepted responsibility for the strike. As well as for a number of similar stories with strikes on the Turkish army during the battle for southern Idlib in February-March 2020.

Well, in 2020, ours also fought with the Turks in Libya, during Haftar's offensive on Tripoli, where the Wagner PMC worked on Haftar's side, and the SADAT PMC and Turkish mercenaries from Idlib worked on the side of the Libyan GNA. Both sides then also suffered losses in people and equipment.

Which again did not prevent the development of peculiar relations with our "friend Recep", which, among other things, were influenced by the story of the death of the Su-24, after which they tried not to expose their backs to the yataghan of our "friend Recep". This is the peculiarity of the modern world - here we fight in a hybrid manner, here we make deals. Everything is complicated.

Sulaimani security forces dismantle 'dangerous' ISIS cell
[Rudaw] Sulaimani security forces (Asayish) on Sunday announced the dismantling of the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
's (ISIS) so-called Kurdistan State cell, following months-long operations across the Kurdistan Region and the disputed areas.

General Directorate of Security Forces’ Operations announced in a statement that it had conducted a series of operations from August 9 to November 22, in coordination with other Kurdish forces and and the Iraqi army.

The operations spanned across the Sulaimani, Halabja, and Kirkuk provinces, targeting the group’s so-called Kurdistan Wilayat (state) - which Asayish deemed as "dangerous."

"During this process aimed at stabilizing the Kurdistan Region, five ISIS bad boyz were potted, and 14 were arrested. A number of weapons, bombs, suicide belts, and thermal military cameras were seized, and all their hideouts were destroyed," read the statement from Asayish.

Three members of Asayish forces were killed during the operations, and three others were maimed. There also three injuries from the Iraqi security forces.

The ISIS cell aimed at "connecting the sleeping cells in Kurdistan [Region] and Iraq with murderous Moslems in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
and Iran," according to the statement, adding that they also planned to set up checkpoints wearing military uniforms to kidnap businessmen to finance the group.

The statement also noted that it has detained several ISIS suspects in Sharazoor, which later rejoined their families following rehabilitation.

ISIS was in control of swathes of Iraqi territory at its height in 2014. The Iraqi army and the Kurdish Peshmerga fought to retake areas of the country controlled by the hard boyz and declared the territorial defeat of ISIS in 2017. The United States-led global coalition provided both forces with air and ground support, as well as training and equipment.

Despite its territorial defeat, the forces of Evil have taken shelter in the disputed territories between Erbil and Baghdad, where there is a security vacuum.

Last week, the Kurdistan Region’s Peshmerga ministry announced two Kurdish Peshmerga commanders and another fighter were killed, with three soldiers maimed when an IED went kaboom! on a joint Iraqi-Kurdish patrol in Salahaddin province’s Tuz Khurmatu, located about 65 kilometers south of Kirkuk city.

ISIS grabbed credit for the attack.

-Lurid Crime Tales-
Illegal Food vending business run by illegals in NYC
They grasp capitalism just fine. Sadly, they reject the restrictions we accept as part of living in a high trust, First World country.
[NYPost] Arroz con racket: Brooklyn restaurant at center of illegal migrant-driven food-vending scheme

A dingy Brooklyn restaurant with a laundry list of revolting health violations is at the center of an illegal vending scheme involving dozens of migrant women, who hawk meals made in its filthy kitchen on street corners across the Big Apple, The Post has learned.

With growing concern over such unregulated and potentially dangerous operations popping up citywide, The Post tailed about a half-dozen pollo peddlers — illegal migrants mostly from Ecuador — who have commandeered choice spots to sell $10 plates of chicken and rice.

The food originates in a Dominican joint called Guisa’o Restaurant in Bushwick, where up to 50 migrants at a time squeeze into a tiny kitchen to cook the grub, which is then delivered in coolers by van to the illegal street sellers.

“People really need to know the story behind the food they’re eating when it comes to these illegal migrant vendors,” said Councilwoman Joann Ariola (R-Queens), who sits on the health committee and learned of the scheme from The Post.

“These aren’t just kindly old ladies making meals in their home ovens. This is a mass operation with dozens of illegals crammed into a filthy, violation-riddled kitchen in Bushwick, churning out food by the caseload to sell on our streets.

“This is truly disgusting, and I think if more people knew that their quick ten-dollar lunch was actually from a jam-packed kitchen . . . strewn with vermin droppings and who knows what else, they might think twice before ordering off the guy on the corner.”

She continued: “And it’s cutting into local businesses, too, impacting the bottom line of shops trying to do the right thing and sell food the right way.”

On Wednesday, at about 11:30 a.m., The Post observed a van pull up to five Ecuadorian women standing along First Avenue and East 78th Street on the Upper East Side. Men unloaded 15 coolers, each filled with 50 to 100 pre-made lunches.

The women — who ranged in age from their early 20s to late 40s — then sold the tins of chicken, beef and fish over rice or fries, with a can of Coke, for $10, mostly to local hardhats.

One woman admitted in Spanish that she and the other sellers are in the U.S. illegally and don’t have a permit to sell food.

“We don’t want any problems; we’re just here to sell and make some money,” said the woman.

Around 1:30 p.m., following a lunch rush that drew roughly 25 customers, a van returned to collect the unsold containers.

The silver double-doored van with tinted windows then headed seven miles south to wholesale provider Restaurant Depot in Masbeth, Queens, where it met another tinted-windowed van. Three women and one man got out of both vans, and a woman went inside to pick up meat and other ingredients.

They all then loaded boxes of food into the back of the silver van, which soon after made a four-mile bee-line Guisa’o at 1062 Broadway.

There restaurant workers told The Post the food would be cooked for the next day’s vending.

A Guisa’o manager admitted about “50 immigrants” come there regularly to cook food in the kitchen with help from his staff.

In July, city health inspectors found a litany of stomach-churning violations at Guisa’o, including evidence of rats and insects. In all, it racked up 96 penalty points and received a “C” grade – the lowest given out by the Health Department.

Guisa’o — Spanish for “stew” — was also slammed with $10,959 in unpaid state tax liens last year that have since been satisfied, records show.

The business is registered with the state under a shadowy shell corporation called 1062 Food Corp. that fails to name any officers, records show.

The eatery’s manager claimed the owner is Rafael Veloz, but Veloz insisted a woman named “Maria” bought the business a few months ago and that she could spill the beans about the migrant operation.

He then blurted to the reporter, “Wait, are you calling from the Health Department? You’re not calling from the Health Department, right?”

Maria declined to give her last name but confirmed she owned Guisa’o and that illegal migrants are indeed using its kitchen to cook food and sell at construction sites. She declined further comment.

Guisa’o sits on the ground floor of a three-story building owned by a company called Beeda Realty and SVC Corp. in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn, records show. Edwin Rodriquez, who is listed at Beeda’s chief executive officer, claimed it’s not his building.

Back in Manhattan, locals begged for enforcement.

“I understand [the migrants] feel the need to make money, but as far as I know they’re not here legally and they’re” putting consumers at risk “selling unregulated food,” said Upper East Sider Russell Rivera. “There’s people who legally work very hard in the hospitality industry, and [the migrants are] just showing up and taking their business.”

Jose Leon, owner of Italian Village Pizza & Restaurant on the corner of East 78th Street and First Avenue, said his profits dropped 30% since the migrants began peddling outside his shop nearly two years ago.

“I understand it’s affordable, but why do we have to be penalized when we pay taxes, insurance, everything?” he barked. “What’s wrong with this city?”

Selling food without a street vending license usually carries a $1,000 fine. He said he’s lodged roughly 20 complaints with the city — to no avail.

Under Mayor Adams, the city has beefed up enforcement against illegal vendors, but there are no records on a migrant crackdown. The NYPD and Sanitation Department, considered the main oversight agencies for street vending rules, has already issued more than 9,000 summonses to vendors this year, according to a recent analysis by City Limits. This includes 5,747 tickets doled out by cops through September – or more than triple the 1,812 handed out during the same period in 2019 before the pandemic. Sanitation inspectors through October handed out 3,281 tickets – more than double the1,535 given the year before.

Leon, however, took matters into his owns hands a few months ago. He said he told the women he’d “throw all [their] stuff in the street” if they didn’t leave. They listened, moving their containers of food about 100 feet north and becoming other business’ problem.

Several Israelis hurt by relentless Hezbollah fire as 250 rockets fired at north, center
Use ‘em or lose ‘em, boys. The IDF infantry is already demolishing your second line in the south, and beyond that everything important to you that’s reachable from the sky.
[IsraelTimes] Woman wounded when car catches fire after rocket impact in Petah Tikvah; residential buildings damaged in Haifa amid heavy barrage; IDF strikes in Beirut

Several people were maimed by rocket fire on Sunday as the Hezbollah terror group fired more than 250 rockets and drones at northern and central Israel in several salvos throughout the day, according to the military and medics. In northern Israel, a man in his 60s was hit by shrapnel to the stomach while working in a field in the Kfar Blum area, according to the Magen David Adom ambulance service. He was maimed, and taken to Ziv Hospital in Safed for treatment. In Haifa, two men in their fifties were lightly hurt by shrapnel during a rocket barrage on the northern port city, MDA said, and one other person was being treated for acute anxiety. The barrage also caused damage to a residential building in the area.

Earlier on Sunday, a woman in her 50s was lightly injured by shrapnel following rocket fire on the Western Galilee at around 7:30 a.m. The rocket impact also caused damage to a factory in the northern town of Ma’alot-Tarshiha.

The IDF said that some 30 rockets and drones were launched in the early morning attack, some of which were intercepted by air defenses.

The military said two of the drones were intercepted and "additional interception attempts were made," but did not specify how many apparently crashed. It said the incident ended with no immediate reports of injuries as a result of the drones.

Minutes later, rocket sirens blared in cities and towns north of Tel Aviv, including in Netanya and Herzliya.

The IDF later said that six rockets had been fired toward the center of the country from Leb

, five of which were intercepted by aerial defenses. The sixth rocket struck an open area, although there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

A second barrage of eight rockets was fired at central Israel at around 1:00 p.m., one of which impacted in the city of Petah Tikvah and another in the agricultural community of Rinatya.

Central Israel was again targeted in the evening with several missiles fired, some intercepted while others fell in open areas.

In the aftermath of the strike in Petah Tikva, Magen David Adom said it was treating a 70-year-old woman suffering from smoke inhalation due to a car that caught fire as a result of the impact. The woman was said to be in moderate condition. Several other people were receiving treatment for acute anxiety and minor injuries sustained while running to shelter, medics said.

Heavy damage was also sustained to homes in Rinatya after a rocket struck there. The owners of one of the houses were not home at the time, Channel 12 reported, as they were on a tour of Kibbutz Kfar Aza in the south, which was one of the hardest-hit communities in the October 7 Hamas

onslaught. Relatives of the couple told the outlet that the home had no reinforced area and that the elderly couple would have not been able to shelter had they been home during the attack.

Most of the remaining rockets fired at the center of the country were intercepted, and the military said it was investigating possible damage caused by shrapnel following the interceptions.

Amid the heavy rocket fire from Lebanon, the IDF’s Arabic-language front man Col. Avichay Adraee issued evacuation warnings for two buildings in Beirut’s southern suburbs, ahead of Arclight airstrike

s on Hezbollah assets. A short while later, reports in Lebanese media indicated that Israel was carrying out strikes in the Hezbollah stronghold of Dahiyeh, Beirut’s southern suburbs.

Elsewhere in Lebanon, IDF said that it had also struck the Hezbollah launcher that was used in the attack on Haifa earlier on Sunday, and released footage of the strike.

In a separate incident on Sunday, one Lebanese Armed Forces soldier was killed and 18 others were maimed, some seriously, after an Israeli strike on an army center n the town of al-Amiriya on the al-Qalila-Tyre road in southern Lebanon. The LAF said that the attack caused severe damage to the facility. After probing the incident, the IDF apologized for the strike.

"The incident took place in an area where fighting is ongoing against the Hezbollah terror organization," the Israeli military said in response to a query by The Times of Israel.

"The IDF regrets the incident and clarifies that it is fighting in a targeted manner against the Hezbollah terror organization, and not against the Lebanese Army," the military said, adding that the incident is under further investigation.

Earlier on Sunday, the IDF confirmed reports that it had launched airstrikes at the Jusiyah Crossing on the Syrian-Lebanon border Saturday night, after it was being used by Hezbollah to transport weapons. The crossing had been struck already once before by the IDF, last month. The military said fighter jets hit military infrastructure in the vicinity of the crossing, which it said were used by the Hezbollah terror organization to transfer weapons from Syria to Lebanon.

On Saturday, Israeli airstrikes across Lebanon killed over 55 people, according to Lebanon’s health ministry, whose tolls do not distinguish between combatants and civilians. One strike conducted without warning on a central Beirut building killed at least 20 people and maimed scores more, Lebanese officials said. A Lebanese security source told AFP that the central Beirut strike had "targeted a leading Hezbollah figure," but a Hezbollah politician, Amin Sherri, denied to Lebanese media that any official was present at the time of the attack.

Israeli airstrikes also hit eastern Lebanon, killing 24 people, including 13 in the town of Shmostar overlooking the Beqaa Valley, a Hezbollah stronghold.

In Lebanon’s south, at least 14 were killed including five in the coastal city of Tyre, the health ministry said.

Late Saturday night, the IDF said that a drone launched from Lebanon was shot down by air defenses off the coast of Haifa, and that no sirens were activated as the drone did not get close to population centers, the IDF added.

Since October 8, 2023, Hezbollah-led forces have attacked Israeli communities and military posts along the border on a near-daily basis, with the group saying it is doing so to support Gazoo

amid the war there.

Hezbollah has since expanded its attacks to also target cities in central and northern Israel with rockets, in addition to the attacks on the border.

Israel stepped up its offensive on Hezbollah in Lebanon in late September, launching extensive strikes and operations that took out most of the group’s leadership, including its longtime leader His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

Israel then launched a ground operation into southern Lebanon, with the aim of clearing Hezbollah strongholds in the area and making it safe for evacuated residents of northern Israel to return to their homes.

In recent days, heavy ground fighting between the IDF and Hezbollah has continued in southern Lebanon, with Israeli troops pushing farther from the border.

Still, in the past week Israeli and American officials have expressed guarded optimism about the possibility of securing a ceasefire, after US envoy Amos Hochstein made visits to both Beirut and Jerusalem to discuss terms. A senior Israeli defense official has said there is a high likelihood of a deal.

On Friday afternoon, Channel 12 published details on what it said were the remaining points of contention between Israel and Hezbollah, namely the formation of an international committee that will monitor a deal’s implementation, as well as a number of border demarcation disputes. The network said Israel was demanding language in the agreement that would allow it to unilaterally choose not to engage in negotiations over disputed points.

A bigwig told the channel that "most of the details have been agreed upon, but what remains open is very sensitive and could still derail the agreement."

As of last month, the IDF estimated that over 12,400 rockets and drones have been fired at Israel from Lebanon during the war. The attacks on northern Israel since October 2023 have resulted in the deaths of 44 civilians.

In addition, 71 IDF soldiers and reservists have died in cross-border skirmishes and in the ground operation launched in southern Lebanon in late September.

Israeli attacks have killed at least 3,670 people and injured 15,413 in Lebanon since October 2023, Lebanon’s health ministry said on Saturday.

The IDF estimates that some 3,000 Hezbollah operatives have been killed in the conflict. Around 100 members of other terror groups, along with hundreds of civilians, have also been reported killed in Lebanon.
