I've seen a lot of recent (past year) celebrity real estate sales where they've had to drop the initial asking price by as much as 50%. I don't think he's getting the full $170 M, let's just say that.

About that clash between a British destroyer and Russian warplanes and warships in the Black Sea last week: there are conflicting versions.
...London's version: Defender sailed through waters off Crimea that belong to Ukraine. Russian gunfire was far off and unthreatening. No dropped bombs impeded the destroyer's passage.
Yet, according to The New York Times, BBC correspondent Jonathan Beale, who was on board Defender, has "published video footage showing as many as 20 Russian warplanes buzzing the ship and a Russian Coast Guard vessel drawing close alongside." Brian Williams concurs - he was there And in the studio in NYC
In brief, this naval encounter was serious business.
Defender's captain, Commander Vince Owen, made it clear his ship sailed close by Crimea deliberately "to assert the position that Crimea and the waters around it legally belong to Ukraine."
...This is not an unserious matter.
If the Brits repeat this exercise, which they see as a right, a duty and a mission, we could witness a Russian attack on a British warship.
This would trigger Article 5 of the NATO treaty that requires all member nations to treat an attack on one as an attack on all.
Britain's challenge to Russia, a few kilometers off Crimea, could have resulted in a shooting incident that could have forced a U.S. response against Russia. And that raises some serious questions:
Did Johnson inform us he was about to issue this direct challenge to Moscow? Or were the Americans left in the dark?
Did President Joe Biden or the Pentagon tell Johnson that if Defender were attacked, U.S. forces would have their back?
With this clash off Crimea, a peninsula Russia regards as vital and we have never regarded as vital, we could have been drawn into a conflict by our ally, Britain, which could not prevail against Vladimir Putin's Russia without the military assistance of the United States. China would love a war between USA and Russia

[Arutz 7] - The new "Delta" coronavirus variant, also known as the Indian variant, has caused nearly 400,000 deaths in India alone, and sent South Africa into a two-week lockdown, Israel Hayom reported.
As the variant spreads, countries around the world race to complete vaccination campaigns in an effort to prevent their populations from becoming the new India.
In Argentina, where over 90,000 have died of the virus, just 34.9% received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine, and just 8.6% the second dose.
On Sunday, over 21,000 new coronavirus cases were diagnosed in Russia, where just 11% of the population has taken the coronavirus vaccine, mostly due due to concerns regarding the vaccine and the government.
Sydney, Australia, saw 128 new cases on Sunday, almost all of them the Delta variant. The rise is the country's first in several months.
In Mexico, Sunday saw 2,000 new diagnoses, and the official estimates are grim. In USA, however, reputable doctors and scientists have proved conclusively that there is no such thing as Covid.

That people are more concerned about the name being discriminatory rather than the Thames flooding because all the bodies clogging the flow can be considered evidence.

the total number Covid fatalities in India is under 400k and they had about 200k fatalities before the Delta varient was ID ed so the article has a problem

[Washington Examiner] Fox News host Tucker Carlson accused the Biden administration of "spying" on him in an attempt to take his show off the air.
He told his audience on Monday a government whistleblower told his team the National Security Agency is "spying" on their electronic communications and is "planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air."
Carlson offered no evidence other than to say the whistleblower, whom he did not identify, repeated back information on a story the host's team is working on that came directly from his own text messages and emails.
"The Biden administration is spying on us," he said after asserting "it is illegal for the NSA to spy on American citizens."
Accusing the NSA of covertly picking up his electronic communications, Carlson insisted there is "no other possible source of that information."
Carlson, whose show averages millions of viewers, said his team filed a Freedom of Information Act request asking for all information the NSA and other agencies have gathered about his show. They also reached out to the press offices of the NSA and FBI for comment.
"We don’t expect to hear much back. That’s the way that usually goes. Only Congress can force transparency on the intelligence agencies, and they should do that immediately," he said.
"Spying on opposition journalists is incompatible with democracy. If they are doing it to us, and again, they are definitely doing it to us, they are almost certainly doing it to others. This is scary, and we need to stop it right away," Carlson said in conclusion.
The Washington Examiner reached out to the NSA, FBI, and Office of the Director of National Intelligence, and Fox News for comment.

May or may not have been NSA. Carlson is rapidly becoming the new Julian Assange. His sources are likely within the gov't. They must be found and silenced.
[JPost] - The IDF’s Gaza division will soon deploy a new semi-autonomous robotic ground vehicle called the Jaguar along the border with the Gaza Strip, replacing soldiers along the border where they could be targets by Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
Developed over the past year and half by Israel Aerospace Industries in close cooperation with the technological department of the IDF’s Ground Forces Command, it is currently being integrated into the Gaza division. I understand there are some inquiries from progressive (defund the police) municipalities in USA.

McKinney shared a picture of the Twin Towers burning, with a hand slotting in a puzzle piece with "Zionists" written across it, to make up the full sentence "Zionists did it." She captioned the tweet "The Final Piece of the Puzzle."
So why is the Democrat Leadership so silent?
When was the last time any of the Democrat Leadership spoke out against such racially charged Black Congressional Leadership and/or BLOM Hate Speech and comments?
Having so far lived thru the Black Panthers (1960-1990's) call to kill whitey, OBAMA's (2008->) Lets Polar-bear White seniors, and now watching the biden, harris, pelosi (2020 - >) era of attack Whitey and Asians era. I have to wonder why the Democrat Leadership has been so soft spoken When & If at all, the last 20+ years of such racism?
Is it because the Democrat leadership condones and quietly supports the Black Radical movement (BLOM) of pimping race hate, because it still delivers votes come election day?

I agree that some of her advocacy was off the deep end. However, to her credit, she and her husband were foster parents to 20+ young women and seemed to have done a good job on this.
Also she is a former beauty pageant Miss Congeniality winner.

[Raw Conservative Opinions] "RINO former Attorney General Bill Barr failed to investigate election fraud, and really let down the American people. Even the scam that took place in Georgia of ballot stuffing on camera, he couldn’t see what was wrong with it. Just like he failed to understand the Horowitz report and let everyone down with respect to getting a timely investigation (where’s Durham?) on all of the corruption of the Obama-Biden Administration," Trump wrote. "It’s people in authority like Bill Barr that allow the crazed Radical Left to succeed. He and other RINOs in the Republican Party are being used in order to try to convince people that the election was legitimate when so many incredible facts have now come out to show conclusively that it wasn’t."
Trump continued on to say, "he came in with a semi-bang and went out with a whimper. Earlier in his term Bill Barr went ballistic on CNN with Wolf Blitzer warning Democrats were changing election rules to flood the system with mail-in ballots that ’as a matter of logic’ are ’very open to fraud.’ They are, and Bill Barr did nothing about it."
"If there was no fraud, why are Arizona, Georgia, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and other States spending so much time and effort on exposing the fraud? We already know that:
101,789 ’obsolete’ voters on the rolls in Georgia, including 18,486 dead people Ballot batches off by up to 17.5 percent in Maricopa County, Arizona ’Massive’ chain of custody problems with drop boxes in Georgia, missing hundreds of thousands of records for months after the election Thousands of ballots "wheeled in through the back door" in Fulton County days after the election ’Double feeding’ ballots in Fulton County, Georgia Nearly 200,000 illegal "indefinitely confined" votes in Wisconsin that violated Voter ID law ’Cash for votes’ scheme in Nevada Illegal alien votes Election law changes were not authorized by the State Legislatures, which is mandated by the U.S. Constitution
[Politico] Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance has indicated he does not currently plan to charge the Trump Organization with crimes related to allegations of "hush money" payments and real estate value manipulations, according to a personal lawyer for Donald Trump.
Ronald Fischetti, a New York attorney who represents the former president, said on Monday that in a meeting last week, he asked Vance’s team for details on charges they were considering.
According to Fischetti, members of Vance’s team said they were considering bringing charges against the Trump Organization and its individual employees related to alleged failures to pay taxes on corporate benefits and perks. It has been widely reported that those perks included cars and apartments and appear to only involve a small number of executives.

Ah, come on. DA's don't pay for false prosecutions, everyone else does. I'm sure he'll be able to get enough of a chunk of the government's budget to actually hurt.
[Washington Examiner] The Office of Disciplinary Counsel in Washington, D.C., has reached an agreement with ex-FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith that his admitted criminality does not constitute "moral turpitude" and his law license should be suspended for just one year after he received only probation for falsifying a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act document during the Trump-Russia investigation.
Clinesmith, who worked on the investigation into former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s private email server and on the FBI’s Trump-Russia inquiry, as well as special counsel Robert Mueller’s team, admitted in August 2020 that he falsified a document during the bureau’s efforts to renew FISA surveillance authority against Carter Page, a foreign policy adviser to former President Donald Trump's 2016 campaign.
Clinesmith edited a CIA email in 2017 to state Page was "not a source" for the CIA when it had told the bureau on multiple occasions Page had been an "operational contact" for the agency. He was sentenced to probation in January.
After a review of how to handle Clinesmith’s standing with the D.C. bar, disciplinary counsel and Clinesmith’s lawyers signed a petition for negotiated discipline and said they "agree that the sanction to be imposed in this matter is a one-year suspension." The suspension would essentially apply retroactively from the month of his guilty plea last year, so his yearlong suspension would actually end in August.
The District of Columbia Board on Professional Responsibility is scheduled to hold a hearing next month, in which it can either approve or reject the slap on the wrist Clinesmith has agreed to. The agreement was first reported by Reuters on Monday.

What is NOT said in para three is, when another gov't agency plans to utilize a source such as Page, coordination and authorizations must be granted in advance. I doubt the process was violated.

In Rogers v. Ohio Board of Nursing, Franklin C.P. No. 17 CVF 06-5549 (Oct. 31, 2017) that a crime of moral turpitude involves one of three types of conduct (it can be a misdemeanor or a crime):
Egregious sexual misconduct
Defrauding a specific person or society
Dishonesty and falsification
IMHO, we were all screwed (#1), we were all defrauded, and there was dishonesty and falsification foisted upon the American people (#3).

Wow, this is really a proof of how brazen the Marxist cabal running our government has become and how deeply rotten or justice system is now. Laughable window dressing for the rubes that justice and the rule of law applies to the minions of the ruling class.
[Rudaw] Salahaddin province on Monday announced the return of 200 displaced families from the province and said all camps in Salahaddin have been closed, the deputy governor confirmed to state media on Monday.
Muhammad Mahmoud Hussein al-Jubouri told state media "the displaced have been returned to their areas in al-Awja, south of the center of Tikrit ...birthplace of Saddam Hussein... and the area of al-Rifayat in Balad district."
Jubouri said the local government is making special efforts to restore stability to liberated areas by restoring basic services, especially in the south of Salahaddin province.
Almost 200 families in al-Jada camp in Nineveh province have returned to their homes in djinn-infested Mosul ... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn... and Salahaddin, the Iraqi Ministry of Migration and Displacement said earlier in June.
Last year, the Iraqi government began a push to close 17 camps around the country, three years after the defeat of ISIS, including in the Kurdistan Region.
The government has been criticized for this policy. Rights monitors say returns must be voluntary.
Many displaced Iraqis are reluctant to return home because of continuing violence in their home areas, a lack of reconstruction, and little in the way of basic services. Some who voluntarily left the camps to salvage their homes and livelihoods have been forced to return to the camps, unable to piece together the basics.
[OneIndia] A major threat was averted thanks to the alertness and proactive approach of the Indian security forces who thwarted a drone attack in the military area of Jammu.
Two separate drone activities were spotted over the Ratnuchak-Kaluchak Military area by the troops on June 28. Lt Col Devender Anand, PRO (Defence) said that a high alert was sounded immediately and the Quick Reaction Teams engaged them wit firing.
Both the drones flew away. A major threat thwarted by the alertness and proactive approach of troops.
The security forces are on high alert and the search operation is in progress, Lt Col Anand also said.
Pakistain and its stooges in India have been using drones to carry out attacks and also transport arms and ammunition. The latest incident comes a day after it was reported that the Indian Air Force Base in Jammu witnessed attacks that were carried out by drones.
While it is clear that it was a Pakistain sponsored strike, the possibility of the drones being controlled from Indian territory was not ruled as the investigations commenced.
The threat from drones has been discussed for several years now. In Punjab, Pakistain based faceless myrmidons had used drones to drop off arms and ammunition which was meant to be transported later to Jammu and Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... The suspected drones used in Sunday's attack dropped an explosive on the roof of a building at the station. Another explosive meant to target an aircraft missed the target and went kaboom! in an open area.

Question: What is it like to have your house searched by the police?
Greetings, Salam Alykum Everyone
It’s a scary experience even for those who haven’t done anything. I can say this because my home was searched just a day ago.
Date: 24 June 2021
Time: 01:45 AM
Location: Downtown Srinagar; J&K India.
I was sleeping when I hear a loud knocking at the door of my room. It’s was my mom.
Mom: “Arfat wathu Police ha aaye yor” (Arfat wake up the Police is here)
I wake up and quickly took on my pajamas and a shirt while my heart was racing.
Why the hell would they come here? It is because I write against BJP? But my writings aren’t even popular, they hardly make a difference; I thought to myself.
I opened the door of my bedroom which leads to our living room. I saw someone from outside pointing his torch towards me.
“Bahar aajo” (Come outside!) he said in a strong but relatively milder tone.
“Ji Ji aarahe hai” (Yes, yes we are coming) I replied back politely.
Until then everyone in my house was awake. I was calm but my mom seemed particularly worried.
I went outside to the lobby along with my dad, I opened the door and I saw Policemen from Special Operations of J&K Police and Quick Action Team of CRPF. All of them were armed to teeth and pretty much look very scary (except the daylight)
They scare you, even when you know you haven’t done anything wrong. Nevertheless I decided to stay calm and cooperate with the Police as long as they don’t do something unacceptable.
“Sabhi Bahar Aajoo!” (All of you come outside!) said a CRPF jawan.
“Andre cha baye kah?” (Is someone else inside?) said a SOG jawan in Kashmiri.
“Do mastoorat hai aur nanaji” (Two females and our maternal grandfather) I replied back.
“Su cha buzarg” (Is he aged?) said the SOG jawan.
“Ahnez sohaz chu buzarg” (Yes he is aged) my dad replied back.
“Chalo theek chu; su roozen Andrei” (Okay fine let him be inside)
He allowed my nanaji to remain inside. Okay that’s nice of him (I thought to myself)
Meanwhile, I saw jawans in my neighbor's house; it looked like their house was being searched. I thought to myself:
Why is SOG here? Why is this locality being searched? I this a CASO? (cordon and search operation). So this isn’t about arresting me. Thank GOD. In that case the worst that could happen is that there is a militant or an OGW is hiding somewhere in our locality which surely will lead to an encounter and the best that could happen is that the police is somehow misinformed.
The door of our basement was open and the lights were on. Looked like they had already searched it while we were sleeping.
Some SOG jawans received some radio chatter and left just before ordering CRPF jawans to search my home.
One CRPF jawan loaded his rifle (the sound of which sent some good chills through my spine) and stepped into the lobby. His rifle had this big torch fitted into it and he checked the stairs leading to the second floor.
“Naam kya hai” he asked.
“Arfat” I replied back.
I was worried about nanaji because he has Panic disorder but surprisingly he was also calm.
Two CRPF Jawans searched nanaji’s room, guest room and the bathroom while I accompanied other two jawans into the kitchen, living room and my bedroom. They kept insisting on keeping the lights on and they kept asking:
Kio Mehmaan to nahi hai? (You don’t have a guest; do you?) By which they meant “are you hiding a militant in your home?”
“Ji Nahi” (No!) I replied politely back every time they asked.
It kind of sucks when someone gives you the look which says “You could be a militant”
When all of the rooms were searched we came back in the lobby and he asked:
“Arfat tum karte kya ho” (What do you do Arfat?) he said politely.
“Medical Intern hoon” (I am a Medical Intern) I replied back.
He saw my football which was lying in the lobby and said:
“Football khelte ho?” (You play football?)
“Haan” (Yes)
“Achi baat hai, isse jism mazboot rehta hai” (Good thing it keeps your body strong)
I simply nodded.
He is calling me by my name, asking about my hobbies, classic rapport building techniques. May be he sensed my fear and wants me to be calm (I thought to myself)
Now except the second floor everything was searched. The jawans surprisingly didn’t search the second floor and went outside and asked me to come with them.
Outside I saw a CRPF gypsy like this one and I think what were 60+ policemen.
Why are they taking me with them? I thought to myself. Are they about to detain me?
And the weirdest of all thoughts popped into my mind.
What if some evil minded informer has misled the security forces? What if someone wants me to be detained. No! that’s crazy why would anyone want to hurt me. I have no enemies.
When in stress mode your brain will try to figure out the worst possible scenario and will try to be ready for it. Thank God what I feared wasn’t true.
As soon as I approached the gypsy an Officer of J&K Police ordered:
“Arey Nahi Nahi Isko Jaane do” (Oh no, no, leave him)
I was asked to go back into my home which is what I did.
The other houses were still being searched and within 30 minutes most of our locality was searched. Another 30 min passed by and the police left without a single shot fired and even without arresting someone.
Shortly after the Police left the Azaan (call to prayer) was recited in the mosque. We prayed in our homes (covid protocol) and tried to sleep but couldn’t. We couldn’t make sense of the situation. The question of why the Police searched our locality was keeping us from sleeping.
Tomorrow morning we heard some rumors and I thought to myself how lucky are those who don’t live in a conflict zone and thus don’t have to wake up at 01:45AM because some armed personnel want to search their home.
P.S.:- The answer is based solely on my experience therefore my answer cannot be taken as a reference as to how security forces behave in search operations. The experience of different Kashmiris may differ. I have heard many people are treated harshly in search operations especially those who live in south Kashmir.

Thousands of farmers protesting against the Centre's new agri laws had clashed with the police during a tractor parade on January 26.
Many of the protesters, driving tractors, reached the Red Fort and entered the monument. Some protesters even hoisted religious flags on its domes and a flagstaff at the ramparts, where the national flag is unfurled on Independence Day.
[Rudaw] A Canadian woman who left Alberta in 2014 for Syria has been released from al-Hol camp in Syria, her family’s lawyer said on Monday, cited by Canadian media.

Lawrence Greenspon, the family's lawyer, told Global News the woman’s four-year-old daughter was returned to Canada in March with the assistance of US diplomat Peter Galbraith.
It is still not known whether she will face charges when she returns to Canada, according to the Canadian news agency, which also reported there were at least nine women, five men, and dozens of children from Canada held in jug by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

A 24-year-old man
...that’d be crazy Somali asylum seeker Jibril A., or perhaps his name is Abdirahman J. — sources disagree...
stole a knife from a store in the city of Wurzburg and started attacking people. The suspect stabbed three women to death and injured seven other pedestrians. It is unclear what his motives were.
Chia Rabiei, without regard for his own safety, engaged the attacker in a physical fight. A viral video caught how with the help of his backpack, he was able to keep his opponent at bay and managed to stop him from harming more people until local police forces arrived.
"He stabbed a young man who was sitting on a bench and was unaware of what was going on, right before my eyes. I think he stabbed him four to five times," Rabiei said in an interview with Rudaw’s Fuad Raheem.
When I saw this, I understood that this man would attack anyone who stood in his way. I lost all fear during that moment and approached him," Rabiei continued.
The 42-year-old Kurdish father and refugee from Mahabad has been living in Germany for the past 18 months. He used to be a taxi driver, but currently lives in a refugee camp and is finishing his German language courses.
Though many applaud Rabiei's courage, he stressed the importance of his intentions behind the action.
"I get thanks from everyone. However, some men learn by reading. A few learn by observation. The rest have to pee on the electric fence for themselves... I did not do this to earn a medal, I did it for humanitarian reasons. I had no other reason for doing this," Rabiei explained
Markus Soder, the Bavarian Minister-President, has opted to award Rabiei with a medal of bravery.
"You are brave enough to intervene even when it is not your responsibility and even at the expense of your own well-being," Soder acknowledged.
"However dark this day may seem, this gives us a glimmer of hope."

While Biden vowed that the US was committed to assisting Afghanistan, he also insisted that it was time for the American military to step back, according to the News Agency that Dare Not be Named report.
On Friday, President Ghani also said that Afghans will not be compelled to submission by force and that the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... should agree to a ceasefire and enter a political process.
[AlAhram] The statement carried by state media came shortly after the Tigray interim administration, appointed by the federal government, fled the regional capital, Mekele, and called for a cease-fire on humanitarian grounds
Æthiopia's government on Monday declared an immediate, unilateral cease-fire in its Tigray region after nearly eight months of deadly conflict and as hundreds of thousands of people face the world's worst famine crisis in a decade.
The cease-fire ``will enable farmers to till their land, aid groups to operate without any military movement around and engage with remnants (of Tigray's former ruling party) who seek peace,'' Æthiopia's statement said, adding that efforts to bring Tigray's former leaders to justice continue.
Æthiopia said the cease-fire will last until the end of the crucial planting season in Tigray. The season's end comes in September. The government ordered all federal and regional authorities to respect the cease-fire.
``The government has the responsibility to find a political solution to the problem,'' the head of the interim administration, Abraham Belay, said in calling for the cease-fire, adding that some elements within Tigray's former ruling party are willing to engage with the federal government.
There was no immediate comment from the Tigray fighters.
The region in recent days has seen some of the fiercest fighting of the conflict, and some Mekele residents on Monday cheered the arrival of Tigray forces.
Thousands of people have been killed in the conflict as Æthiopian and allied forces pursue Tigray's former leaders and their supporters, and as humanitarian groups plead for more access to the region of 6 million people. International pressure on Æthiopia spiked again last week after a military Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... on a busy market in Tigray killed more than 60 people.
[AlAhram] A group of fighters from Nigerian Islamist group Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... pledged allegiance to rivals the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... West African Province (ISWAP) weeks after the former group's leader died, according to a video seen by Rooters.
The video fuels fears that ISWAP is consolidating control of the insurgency in northeastern Nigeria following the death of Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau ...the lunatic leader of Boko Haram who has been reported dead at least eleven times, pledged his body and soul to ISIS, told his fighters to hang it up once or twice, and been fired by the Caliph and refused to step down. Last seen in 2017, sneaking into Cameroon while wearing a burka... last month. But not all observers are convinced the video is proof that all Boko Haram fighters are ready to join ISWAP.
The groups engaged in a violent mostly peaceful rivalry for years, and if ISWAP absorbs Boko Haram fighters, it could focus attention on attacking the Nigerian military.
Some 350,000 people have died as a result of the 12-year insurgency and subsequent humanitarian crisis, the United Nations ...boodling on the grand scale... said this week. read more
The video, produced by Islamic State's official media arm, showed clips of several hundred men, many of whom were armed, gathering in the bush. Several made statements to camera.
"We will unite together to fight the (unbelievers)," one Boko Haram fighter said in Hausa. "What will happen now will by far exceed what transpired in the past now that we're united."
Vincent Foucher, a researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research who is an expert on the conflict, said the video adds to evidence that ISWAP was gaining control.
"It is one more indication that ISWAP has won," he said.
Foucher said other indicators of ISWAP's consolidation of power included its claims of attacks in areas that had been Boko Haram zones of influence and a significant drop in violence against civilians in areas where Boko Haram operated.
However, the hip bone's connected to the leg bone... Bulama Bukarti, a senior analyst with the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, dismissed the video as propoganda, noting that it did not feature senior Boko Haram leaders.
"I think Boko Haram is still very much divided and they will continue to fight each other," Bukarti said.
[FoxNews] Members of the LGBTQ community are "appalled" after a transgender individual exposed themselves in the women’s section of a Los Angeles spa while young girls were reportedly present, Fox News contributor Tammy Bruce said Monday.
The incident occurred at Wi Spa in Los Angeles. A woman can be heard confronting staff members in a video she filmed demanding they ask the individual to leave the area. An employee refused to confront the customer, defending the "sexual orientation" of the individual in question.
Bruce, a member of the LGBTQ community herself, told Tucker Carlson on Monday that the exchange was troubling to many of her "transgender friends" who found the individual's behavior offensive.
"My concern here is that the average transgender person, and I have perhaps more transgender friends than some of the people watching the program, they are also appalled," Bruce said.
"This is not what anybody wants for somebody who is going through the complicated experience of changing their gender, that’s a serious dynamic and the last thing you need or you’re looking for is a confirmation of using a bathroom or walking in front of a bunch of women and girls to confirm your identity.
The employee in the video appears to invoke the state's legal requirements which leave her hands virtually tied. Bruce called on the "gay political leadership" to reform those policies that "keep people divided" from one another.
"The gay community in particular, certainly the transgender community has got to tell that the gay political leadership to stop using us as this weapon to try to keep people divided," she said. "This has got to stop because none of the transgender’s want this."
The "Get Tammy Bruce" host spoke plainly when it came to the individual who exposed themselves.
"That is a jerk who goes and does that. That is not someone who was looking at their identity and handling situations appropriately," she said.
"Now, if people are drawing conclusions and making judgments about the gay community and the transgender community which they should not do because that is what those people want, not what gay people…" she trailed off. "The transgender community needs to speak up about fairness…about what we really stand for, what the gay community does."

I am somewhat optimistic these youngers, however they end up as voters or social philosophy, are seeing through the bullshit, and it is videos like this making the rounds making a huge difference.

fwiw, Tammy Bruce is a conservative, probably voting Republican (if she votes)
The interesting thing here is that indecent exposure may have been committed even though the exposer identifies as a woman. Of course getting a prosecutor in LA to follow up on this is a real long shot.

But, the father in me, one of many Quinceanera gifts come early.
Best to have her try it in person in a shop, swksvolFF. A young girl will not have the hand size of the adult male such things are designed for, which will make using it less effective than I imagine you’d like. I haven’t got as far as actual weapons myself, even in my long-unused scuba kit, but find most kitchen knives are uncomfortable to use because the handle is too thick or wrongly shaped for my smaller hand.
[911] A new study by several scientists and doctors published in Vaccines 2021, 9, 693, pub 6/24/21 has found both the risks and benefits of the COVID-19 vaccine to be of the same magnitude, and that "this lack of clear benefit should cause governments to rethink their vaccination policy."
The study was conducted using data from one million people. It found that the number needed to vaccinate (NNTV) is between 200 and 700 people to prevent one case of COVID-19 for the Pfizer vaccine. The NNTV to prevent one death is between 9,000 and 50,000.
The number of people experiencing adverse reactions is 700 per 100,000 vaccinations. Currently, there are 16 serious side effects and 4.11 fatal side effects for every 100,000 vaccinations.
Thus, for every three deaths that are prevented by vaccination, there are two deaths caused by vaccination.
The authors came to the conclusion that "we have to accept 4 fatal & 16 serious side effects per 100K vaccinations to save the lives of 2—11 individuals per 100K vaccinations, placing risks & benefits on the same order of magnitude."
These numbers were calculated using absolute risk reduction instead of relative risk reduction.
According to the vaccine manufacturers, the relative risk reduction is 95% for Pfizer, 94% for Moderna, 67% for J&J. The relative risk reduction is a ratio comparing the risk of infection in vaccinated people versus unvaccinated people (the control group).
The absolute risk reduction is the difference in risk for someone in the treatment group versus someone in the control group.
For example, if you have 100 people who don’t get the vaccine, and 10 get sick, the risk of getting sick is 10%. If you have 100 people who do get the vaccine, and only one gets sick, their risk of getting sick is 1%. The relative risk reduction is 90%, but the absolute risk reduction is just 9% then (10% minus 1%), as the risk of getting sick was already low.
There have been complaints by many scientists about outcome reporting biases in the COVID-19 trials, as the vaccine manufacturers only reported the relative risk reduction.
The absolute risk reduction of the Pfizer vaccine is 0.7% and the absolute risk reduction of the Moderna vaccine is 1.1%

#1 The opposite will prove true as it is day by day. I realize information is unbalanced but deaths and side affects will become much harder to hide. I see it in my community as do my coworkers. Normal healthy individuals overwhelmed after stick. AP had a front page article about only current deaths were people not vaccinated. Just so much garbage. Germophobia is now rampant. I have no desire to live as the boy in the bubble. Time will tell. I base my opinions upon survivors of the Spanish Flu. I had the good fortune to know a few. It is sad to see medical professionals recommend an unapproved FDA product when for years they were subjected to the fear of losing their medical license recommending an unapproved FDA medical treatment. Currently several Doctors in my area are more conservative and advise not to receive shot. Then patients insist and a few have died in two to three days. My concern is for the long term (Gates effect). Yes, this game has just begun.

[The Washington Gazette] One of the most hyped innovations of our life time is today’s electric vehicle. While our federal government and the state of California think the internal combustion engine will soon end in the dustbin of history, it just ain’t so. It will never happen for many obvious reasons that governments are blind to.
The most obvious one is that their expense will not allow the average American to own one. The alternative will always be significantly cheaper and will transport you much farther.
EVs can never be produced in the numbers the government wants because of a lack of necessary rare earth minerals held hostage in China.

[IsraelTimes] Sayed Bukhari, an assistant to Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan ...aka The Great Khan, who ain't the sharpest bulb on the national tree... , has denied an Israeli report claiming that he traveled to the Jewish state last November and held secret meetings with several officials, including then-Mossad chief Yossi Cohen.
The Israel Hayom daily and the UK Jewish News have both reported on the alleged trip, citing a source close to Bukhari.
Middle East Monitor last year reported similar details, and subsequently apologized, according to Pak news outlets.
[Garowe] Authorities in Kenya have reported a mass exodus of youths from the al-Shabaab ...... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda... group, where they had reportedly joined in the past few years, amid an ongoing crackdown to tame the Lions of Islam from waging attacks in the country.
This year alone, authorities told Voice of America, at least 350 youths have dumped the Somalia-based al-Shabaab Lions of Islam and are now being reintegrated into their respective families. The defections mostly took place along the coastal strip of the East Africa nation.
At the moment, reports indicate, only a few youths from the coastal region are crossing over to Somalia to join the bully boys. This, officials said, is informed by counterterrorism strategies that have been put in place by security forces in Kenya.
Kenyan counterterrorism officials are in the county of Mombasa this week to help sensitize the community against violent mostly peaceful extremism and to assist former al-Shabaab fighters. Their efforts are targeting six counties directly affected by the terror group’s activities along the Kenya-Somalia border.
Canon Harun Rashid, chief officer in charge of preventing violent mostly peaceful extremism at Kenya’s National Counter Terrorism Center, said the center is processing more than 300 former al-Shabaab fighters who are seeking to re-enter society.
"It's not just a blanket returning program," Rashid said. "All these individuals who are coming in, there is a process of filtering them and understanding the kind of crime they have committed, and the legal system is also waiting to see prosecutable areas once these returnees are put into such a program. Then there is the sensitization part of it, the deradicalization part of it."
Reports still indicate that there are dozens of Kenyan youths still fighting alongside the Lions of Islam in Somalia. The group is fighting to topple the fragile UN-backed Somalia administration now under the leadership of President Mohammed Abdullahi Farmajo.
The security officers need "to understand the radical drivers, to understand the legitimacy behind the turbans calling for their agenda," Rashid said.
Nairobi-based security analyst Richard Tuta said Kenyans who joined al-Shabaab could return to Kenya if the government accepted them.
"Remember, some of these young people did not go there because they were radicalized," he said. "They went there because of other factors — like, for instance, to get a source of income, because one of the ways used to induce them to cross over is because they are promised even to be paid in dollars. So when the government gives them an amnesty, it makes it easier for them to make a comeback."
Munira Hamisi, head of youth affairs and community empowerment in the county of Mombasa, said her county was ready to provide economic opportunities to more than 100 youths who return from Somalia.
"As a department, we have a Mombasa County revolving fund that has an economic stimulus package for our young people, where youth-led business licenses have been waived," she said. "We also have a revolving fund where we are giving out soft loans to businesses that are owned by young people and women."
The coastal strip is one of the worst affected by the al-Shabaab raids, with the group targeting areas in Boni Forest within Lamu County. Currently, the Kenya Defense Forces are running Operation Linda Boni which has largely succeeded.
Also greatly affected are Wajir, Mandera, and Garissa counties which border Somalia in the northeast. Last year, al-Shabaab Lions of Islam raided a US Naval Base at Manda in Lamu, killing three American nationals including a member of the forces.
[THEGATEWAYPUNDIT] The National Archives’ racism task force said in a report that its own Rotunda — which houses the Declaration of Independence, the US Constitution and Bill of Rights is an example of "structural racism."
The report, according to Fox News, attacked the Founding Fathers as "wealthy White men in the nation’s founding while marginalizing BIPOC [Black, Indigenous and other People of Color], women, and other communities."
The task force, which was established after George Floyd’s death, suggested ways to "reimagine the Rotunda" including "dance or performance art in the space that invites dialogue about the ways that the United States has mythologized the founding era."

[FoxNews] I was setting up my camera to film a rally on the steps of Tweed Courthouse in lower Manhattan when a disheveled middle-aged man clutching an odd assortment of papers to his chest stopped and stared at the gathering of parents and community leaders. They were there to protest Mayor Comrade Bill de Blasio ...cryptocommie mayor of New York and for some reason a Dem candidate for president in 2020. Corrupt and incompetent, his qualifications for office seem to consist of being married to a black woman, with whom he honeymooned in Cuba. He has a preppy-looking son named Dante, whose Divine Comedy involved getting his back hair up when a police car drove past him slowly. New Yorkers voted for him, so they deserve him... ’s ongoing attack on the Specialized High School Admissions Test (SHSAT), the sole gateway to one of New York’s nine specialized high schools. Their hand-drawn signs read, "Stop picking on Asian kids!" "Fix failing schools!" and "Keep the test!" The disheveled man began to yell aggressively and I turned, to lipread him: "You Asians take all the spots at these schools! Only eight blacks got into Stuyvesant High, only eight! You gotta give us blacks a chance, that’s all we’re asking for, man!" I turned my camera to capture him but he saw me and fled.
Later, as I reflected on this incident, I thought of that frosty November morning in 2013 when I waited outside a Brooklyn voting center for the de Blasio family to arrive and cast the votes that helped elect the father mayor of New York City. I was filming my documentary on multiracial Americans, "How Jack Became Black." There was an excitement in the air as people around me praised de Blasio’s multiracial family. They believed such a man was a harbinger of better racial relations and they loved his campaign stance against racial profiling. They could not have predicted that de Blasio would leave office eight years later as one of America’s most egregious racial profilers.

[New York Post] An 11-year-old girl has delivered a baby — and is believed to be the youngest-ever mom to give birth in the United Kingdom, a report said Sunday.
The child, who was 10 years old when she became pregnant, gave birth earlier this month when she was more than 30 weeks along, the Sun reported.
"This is the youngest mother I’ve heard of," Dr. Carol Cooper told the outlet.
"Weight affects many hormones. Because children are heavier, puberty is happening earlier these days," she added. Uh huh. And puberty doesn't make you pregnant
The pregnancy stunned the girl’s family, who were not aware that she was expecting, the outlet reported. "We just bought her a Barbie. Now she can share with her..uh..."
"It has come as a big shock," a source who knows the family told the outlet.
"She’s now being surrounded by expert help. The main thing is that she and the baby are OK."
Social services and police are investigating, the outlet reported.
"There are questions around why people did not know. That is very worrying," the source told the Sun.
The youngest mom in Britannia was previously Tressa Middleton, who was 12 years old when she gave birth in 2006.
[DAILYCALLER] On "Fox News Sunday," Fox News anchor Chris Wallace repeatedly asked Republican Indiana Rep. Jim Banks if Republicans are responsible for defunding the police.
Wallace said that Banks and the GOP voted against the $350 billion in President Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?... ’s American Rescue Plan that funds coppers, in turn asking if he and all the other Republicans that voted against the bill voted to defund the police. Wallace’s question came in response to his earlier guest, White House senior adviser Cedric Richmond, who made the claim that Republicans were indeed responsible.
Banks did not address Wallace’s question and instead explained how police forces are having a hard time recruiting new officers due to language from the Democrats.
Wallace asked, "Can’t you make the argument that it’s you and the Republicans who are defunding the police?"
"Not at all, Chris," Banks replied. "I mean let’s go back again and look at the last year and the record of comments that Democrats have made from Rashida Tlaib who said that policing is inherently evil."
"No, no, no," Wallace interjected. "Wait, sir, respectfully. Wait, wait, sir. Respectfully. I heard you make that point but I’m asking you, there’s $350 billion in this package the president says can be used for policing and I — let me put up some of the specific points he said."

I watched that. Wallace repeatedly interupted him. The money in the bill they are talking about was never meant to be used to give cities that had defunded their police. It is only now being claimed that's what it is for. The Democrats are now claiming those cities defunded their police because of covid. THE BALD-Faced lying is amazing.

[Daily Mail, Where America Gets Its News] India has deployed another 50,000 troops on its disputed Himalayan border with China - a significant display of power to its nuclear rival.
The two sides clashed in a high-mountain battle last year that left more than 20 soldiers dead in the bloodiest days since the Sino-Indian War of 1962.
Over the last three months, India has dispatched soldiers and fighter jets to the border, bringing its total up to 200,000 troops, an increase of 40 per cent on last year, sources told Bloomberg.
It is not clear what numbers China has but it has bolstered its infrastructure across the tundra with runways, bomb-proof bunkers for fighter jets, howitzers and outposts.
Beijing has also sent long-range artillery, tanks, anti-aircraft missiles and fighter jet squadrons over the last few months, Bloomberg reported.

...One thing that I'm seeing - but not sure how accurate it is - is that the Chinese are competent enough as long as things go according to plan, but as soon as something shows up that wasn't in the briefing, they're on the back foot and stay there.
I'd hope that somebody on our side was having some quiet exchanges of data over tea with India, but I'm not confident.

[KhaamaPress] The acting Interior Minister, Abdul Satar Mirzakwal in a visit to Paktia province in the south-east of Afghanistan warned the Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... to stop taking the military equipment and tanks they seize from the Afghan military in war to Pakistain.
Anyone smuggling the military tanks to Pakistain will be directly targeted by the Afghan airforce, said the acting Interior Minister.
According to Mirzakwal, the Taliban takes the military equipment including military tanks to Pakistain through Zabul Province.
"There are evidence and footage that Taliban take military equipment to Pakistain", Shamim Khan Katawazai, head of the Afghan’s Independent Directorate of Local Governance said.
On the other hand, the Taliban has rejected the claim on the transfer of military equipment and vehicles across the Durand Line.
Since the withdrawal of foreign troops, the Taliban seized several districts and captured military equipment and vehicles that remained from the Afghan cops in the war field.
[AMERICANTHINKER] Do you know why some dogs in shelters end up perishing? Simple neglect? The sad status of being unwanted? Global warming?
Nope. According to Katja Guenther, a professor of gender and sexuality studies at the University of Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,-Riverside, these canine deaths are due to "capitalism, anthroparchy, white supremacy ...the pernicious doctrine that laws were intended to be obeyed, that society works better when people don't pour shreiking from their places of worship every Friday for a weekend of rioting over insults real or imagined; and that cannibalism, beastiality, incest, murder, theft, rape, and similar activities are bad. A Dead White European (which invalidates his opinion) philosopher once opined that societies thrive when a person's word can be relied upon, and that a society which puts individual happiness first will invariably fail. Strangely enough, other successful societies, such as China, Japan, Korea, and those kinds of places could also be lumped with white supremacist societies, since they push the same values... and patriarchy."

While sociology isn't the brightest of disciplines anyway, this is the most hack nonsense I have ever come across. Sky News host Cory Bernardi says treating household pets with care is now considered to be an act of racism as minorities are said to abuse animals because of “white supremacy”.
“According to leftist Professor Katja Guenther, dogs are being killed and mistreated by minorities because of capitalism, anthroparchy, white supremacy, and patriarchy,”.
Mr Bernardi said the stance of Professor Guenther believes allowing pets to sleep indoors is “a privilege reserved for the white and the wealthy” and policies against keeping dogs chained up hurts minorities.
“Little wonder people prefer the company of dogs than what passes for academia these days.” MS.

On Monday, the Internal Security Forces (Asayish), found the bodies of two displaced sisters who were killed by unidentified persons in Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah, northeast Syria.
“The two displaced sisters, Ghufran Ahmed Khalaf, 23 and Asma Ahmed Khalaf, 17, were killed in the fifth sector of the camp,” a security source in Hawl Camp told North Press.
The source did not mention any other details about the two victims and whether any suspects had been arrested.
On June 23, a woman of Russian origin in Hawl Camp, was subjected to an assassination attempt by extremist women in the ISIS families’ section in the camp.
In late March, The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), supported by counter-terrorism units and the rapid intervention force arrested dozens of wanted individuals as part of a security campaign in Hawl Camp, east of Hasakah city.
A statement by Asayish forces said then that during the first quarter of this year, ISIS sleeper cells killed 47 people in the camp.

The Sunrise Movement along with AOC and Cori Bush block White House entrances
A group of freaks, flanked by noteworthy Democrat politicians, protested outside of the White House on Monday, demanding the Biden administration adopt an infrastructure plan that prioritizes climate change and blocking every entrance to the White House as part of their demand for action.
Activists from the far-left Soros-funded group the Sunrise Movement marched to the White House on Monday to demand the Biden administration put climate change-related initiatives at the forefront, particularly in terms of the ongoing infrastructure negotiations. According to reports, protesters are blocking every entrance to the White House, demanding Biden heed to their Green New Deal agenda.

Isn't this an insurrection, shutting down major Federal buildings, or is 'climate change' different because it's a Soros funded bunch of fruitcakes?

[FoxNews] Two 15-year-olds from Washington, D.C., have been charged with carjacking a vehicle from a Maryland gas station earlier this month while a 2-year-old child was buckled into the back seat.
Video released by the Montgomery County Department of Police shows a female driver park her car at approximately 9:30 a.m. on June 16 beside an air pump at a gas station located in the 8600 block of Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland.
The driver, who stopped to vacuum out her vehicle, is seen getting out of her car and going around to the passenger side to insert her money into the air pump machine. One of the suspects suddenly approaches and jumps into the driver seat before peeling off.
The victim’s 2-year-old daughter was still in a car seat in the rear passenger area of the vehicle when the car was stolen, police said. A witness who observed the theft and followed the vehicle told officers he saw it stop briefly on Colesville Road to pick up a second suspect.
The two suspects abandoned the vehicle farther down Colesville Road and fled on foot, police said. Officers located the vehicle and determined that the 2-year-old still inside was not injured.
Officers in the area observed two individuals who matched the suspects’ description walking in the area of Fenton Street and Veterans Place in downtown Silver Spring, police said. Both juvenile suspects fled on foot upon seeing the officers but were taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit.

[AMERICANTHINKER] The Pennsbury School District is located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, which gave its votes to Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. Old, boring, a plagiarist, fond of hair sniffing and grabbing the protruding parts of women, and not whatcha call brilliant... or is that an act?... by a very narrow margin (assuming Biden actually got those votes). While the community is evenly divided, the school board is leftist. It wanted to bring in a diversity program but didn't want community objections to show up in recordings of public meetings, so it censored those bits. Many parents were outraged — and one man, Simon Campbell, schooled the board on its constitutional obligations, including having to sit there and take it when people say things school board members don't like.

The death and destruction caused is, of course, usually blamed on Israel. The question addressed here is how many Palestinians are likely to have been killed by these errant Palestinian rockets in May. The estimate arrived at is 91, amounting to 36% of the alleged Palestinian death toll.

Well that makes these rockets far more effective at killing Gazans than killing Israelis.
If a third of those killed all together were members of Hamas or other militant organizations, this would mean that Hamas et al. killed as many Gaza civilians as the Israeis did.

About 700, 20% of the total rockets fired, fell on Gaza. That only 90 people were killed by that is a testament to how ineffective those rockets are.
[LIBYAREVIEW] Libya’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla al-Mangoush, took part in the ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS, which took place in Rome, on Monday. The meeting was headed by Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio their American counterpart, Antony Blinken, and representatives of 83 other members. In her speech, al-Mangoush stressed that this meeting confirms the determination "to do our duty to protect our homelands from an bully boy organization that destroyed cities and villages, plundered homes, and killed innocents."
She reviewed the difficult and decisive stages that Libya went through due to ISIS during the previous years. As well as security and military efforts undertaken in different cities, until it was eliminated in the city of Sirte.
She pointed out that Libya is one of the countries that had a prominent role in curbing the role of ISIS in the region, "the Libyans faced several battles in the west, east and south, which cost the Libyan people lives, property, gear, etc."
Al-Mangoush explained that this terrorist organization’s reliance on weak security coordination between countries, "makes us seek to intensify cooperation to bridge security gaps by cutting off its sources of funding, supporting security agencies and border guards, exchanging information and joint cooperation in preventing illegal immigration flows, and providing all that is necessary to eliminate ISIS as much as possible."
The FM also noted the positive developments taking place in Libya today will enhance Libya’s stability, and the stability of neighbouring countries. She added that the new executive authority is responsible for preparing the way for presidential and legislative elections, set to be held on 24 December 2021.

[Gateway Pundit] A desperate Barack Obama pleaded with lawmakers to push through the -For the People Act- to make it easier for Democrats to steal elections.
GOP legislatures are working to secure elections by implementing voter ID laws, banning ballot harvesting and requiring signature checks on all absentee ballots.
Obama, his former AG Eric Holder and House Speaker Pelosi discussed the Democrats’ plan to steal elections going forward on a Zoom call Monday.
Barack Obama was clearly panicked and said there will be "unfairness in terms of results" if voter ID laws are passed and ballot harvesting is banned.
In other words, Obama admitted the Democrats have to cheat in order to win elections.
"If we don’t stop [GOP voting efforts] now, what we are going to see is more and more contested elections... we are going to see a breakdown of the basic agreement that has held this magnificent democratic experiment together all these years," Obama said.
"I have every confidence that Nancy, working in conjunction with Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden... are going to figure out a way in which there is an up and down vote on the for the People Act," he added.

[Garowe] al-Shabaab ...... the personification of Somali state failure... group has announced it executed six people whom it accused of being US spies in Somalia, adding that "they all confessed of working with enemy" but there was no concrete evidence given by the murderous Moslem's proxy media outlets.
Those executed, the group said, were five men and a woman who were believed to be working with locals to spy on al-Shabaab activities across the country, thus "endangering our operations without justification".
Al-Shabaab media outlets said the six were executed on Sunday in Saakow town within Middle Juba where the group has a firm grip. Saakow is used for training by the Lions of Islam due to its proximity to Jilib town, the de facto headquarters for the al-Shabaab murderous Moslems.
Al-Shabaab judge claimed the six "confessed" to "spying" but didn’t release evidence to back up the allegation. Usually, the team subjects its captivates to a rigorous judicial process but the victims are not allowed to have legal representatives.
The US has been fundamental in the fight against al-Shabaab within and outside Somalia, despite the fact that US Africa Command troops were withdrawn early this year. There were close to 700 US soldiers in Somalia, some of who were responsible for the training of the Danab Special Forces.
A couple of weeks ago, State Department announced the deployment of more soldiers to Kenya's North Eastern region where they will help Kenya Defense Forces in the fight against the murderous Moslems. Already the troops have been sighted in Wajir County in Kenya.
It's in Saakow town where a US Africa Command Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... left Bashir Qorab, a renowned al-Shabaab operative, dead. Bashir was being sought for sponsoring and coordinating al-Shabaab operations within and outside Somalia.
The execution comes in a day close to 55 people were killed by either al-Shabaab or through executions engineered by authorities in Somalia. An al-Shabaab attack left 34 people dead in Wisil town within the state of Galmadug, authorities said.
About two hours after the attack in Wisil, authorities in the regional state of Puntland ...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion... executed 21 men accused of al-Shabaab membership and terrorism, regional police commander Colonel Mumin Abdi Shire told the media.
The men were convicted in separate trials in the towns of Galkayo, Garowe, and Qardho this year. Eighteen of the men were lined up next to a sandhill outside the town of Galkayo. Security forces facing them opened fire, executing them. Separately, three other men were executed in Garowe and Qardho town. All of the executions were by firing squad. It is the largest single execution of al-Shabaab Lions of Islam in Somalia, observers say.
Security officials in Puntland accused the men of involvement in a series of liquidations and attacks, spanning more than 10 years, which claimed the lives of regional and community leaders, security officers, and journalists.
Al-Shabaab is largely active in south-central Somalia. The group also has a small footprint in Puntland in the northeast. Puntland is a semi-autonomous state.
[ToloNews] Four districts in two provinces fell under Taliban ...Arabic for students... control in the last 24 hours; however, Afghan forces also made advances in Kunduz and Takhar, officials and other sources said.
The centers of Khwaja Omari, Muqor and Waghaz districts in Ghazni and Khoshamand district in Paktika ...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo... fell to the Taliban in the last 24 hours, according to sources.
"From 18 districts in Ghazni, I think seven districts have fallen to the Taliban. In three districts, only the center is under government control and three are somehow good," said Khoddad Irfani, an MP from Ghazni.
"Some bases and districts have already fallen (to the Taliban). Two more districts fell to the holy warriors in the last 24 hours," said Hamidullah Noori, member of the Ghazni provincial council.
After two weeks of festivities in different parts of Kunduz, particularly on the outskirts of Kunduz city, some stability has been restored since Sunday night.
"The situation in the city is good, it is improving. All shops have been reopened," Kunduz resident said.
"Security should be ensured. How long should this war continue? We are not calm during the day and night," said a Kunduz resident.
The security forces said they will continue their efforts to strengthen their posts on the outskirts of Kunduz city.
"All the security forces who have come to the center of Kunduz from other districts have been deployed to different parts of the city," said Shah Mahmood Fazli, acting commander of the first regiment of 217 Pamir Corps.
Amid fierce battles in the last two months, Pakistain's interior minister, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, during an interview with Geo News said that families of Afghan Taliban reside in his country, including in the capital city of Islamabad.
He also said the Taliban receive medical treatment in Pak hospitals.
"Taliban families live here--in Pakistain, in Rawat, Loi Ber, Bara Kahuh and Tarnol," Rashid told the Urdu-language network citing the names of Islamabad suburbs.
"Sometimes their dead bodies arrive and sometimes they come here in hospitals to get medical treatment," he said.
Afghans responded to the remarks by the Pak minister, including National Security Adviser Hamdullah Mohib, who welcomed the disclosure. However, those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things... the Taliban rejected the remarks by the Pak minister and said their leaders and their families are living in Afghanistan.

The 30-second spot begins with the line, "Football is gay" as light cheering plays in the background.
"Football is lesbian. Football is beautiful. Football is queer. Football is life. Football is exciting. Football is culture. Football is transgender. Football is queer. Football is heart. Football is power. Football is tough. Football is bisexual. Football is strong. Football is freedom. Football is American. Football is accepting. Football is everything. Football is for everyone."
The video is a direct response to Carl Nassib's public coming-out last week, according to Outsports. Nassib, a defensive end for the Las Vegas Raiders, is the first active NFL player to be out.
“I am proud of the clear message this spot sends to the NFL’s LGBTQ+ fans: This game is unquestionably for you,” NFL senior director of diversity, equity and inclusion, Sam Rapoport, told Outsports. “I will be playing its first line over and over in my head all season.”
Rapoport told USA TODAY Sports last week: "It’s OK to not fully understand the LGBTQ+ experience for you to be an ally. You don’t need to be an expert in all the terms. You just need to try."
Along with his announcement last week, Nassib donated $100,000 to the Trevor Project, a leading national organization that provides crisis intervention and suicide prevention help for LGBTQ+ youth. The NFL followed suit with its stated support of The Trevor Project in the commercial, while reiterating the fact that LGBTQ+ youth with at least one accepting adult in their lives have a 40 percent lower risk of attempting suicide.
"If you love this game, you are welcome here," @NFL wrote on Twitter. "Football is for all. Football is for everyone. The NFL stands by the LGBTQ+ community today and every day."

Oh, football! It's brutal, but slimming;
With physical culture it's brimming,
And grappling galore!
It's a little like war,
And a lot like ballet without women.

all tackles, blitzes and steroids.
Traumatic brain boo boos
and backward fumble pooch screws.
How do homos with no ball
manage to play at all?

[POWERLINEBLOG] The New York Times
...which still proudly displays Walter Duranty's Pulitzer prize... reports that crime is starting to worry "progressives" — not the phenomenon, but the politics of it. I don’t know whether progressives in general are worried, but the ones at the Times sure are. This Times article focuses on the success of Eric Adams
...retired New York City police captain, member of the New York State Senate, first Black Brooklyn borough president, law and order Progressive Democrat after a brief fling with the Republicans...
in the Democratic mayoral primary. The Times frets that the winner of the race (at least in terms of the popular vote) "focused much of his message on exposing progressive slogans and policies that he said threatened the lives of ’Black and brown babies’ and were pushed by ’many young, white and rich’ people." That’s hitting awfully close home for the New York Times.
The Times acknowledges that Adams’ message resonated with Black and Latino voters, constituencies upon which Democrats depend. It quotes Hakeem Jefferson, a Stanford political science professor. In Jefferson’s view, there’s a disconnect between these voters and the Democratic left. Says Jefferson, "the middle black voter is not AOC and is actually closer to Eric Adams."
Bernie Sanders ...The only first openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords. He ran for the 2016 nomination for president, to be cheated out of it by Hillary Clinton, then went back to being an Independent socialist, waiting for 2020 to roll around... , who unsuccessfully courted black voters in two separate campaigns, would probably agree, at least privately.
The Times goes so far as to say that the success of Adams, coupled with polls showing the "disconnect" between the views of Blacks and the Democratic left on matters of crime and policing, "threatens to undermine a central tenet of [Democratic] political thought for decades." It seems to agree with Adams that "if the Democratic Party does not recognize what we have done here in New York, [it’s] going to have a problem in the midterm elections and. . .in the presidential elections."
But are Democrat politicians willing to suck it up, abandon "a central tenet of their political thought," and get behind the police? Maybe, at least in terms of rhetoric.
But if they do, they will face plenty of pushback from the hard left. The Times quotes a member of the leftist "Working Families Party" who seems to accuse Adams of using a racist "dog-whistle" on crime. This, despite the fact that Adams is black.
Because Adams is black, and an ex-cop to boot, he can take this kind of inane criticism. But can Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. We get to suffer the consequences... ? Can most liberals? Possibly, but they would much rather not.

for decades, the Wehrmacht veterans have claimed that they were the "clean Germans" in contrast with the SS. As is clear from these discussions the last few days, the military were just as dirty as the SS.
It is notable that all the extermination activities in these camps took place without any participation by the SS. In addition this did not include any "special minorities". Instead they killed Russian civilians and POWs protected by the Geneva Convention.

7 killed, 50+ injured in blast in Bangladesh capital
The cause of the blast, which occurred on the ground floor of a three-story building on a busy street in Dhaka's Moghbazar area, was not immediately clear. Dhaka Metropolitan Police Commissioner Shafiqul Islam told reporters that at least seven people died. The injured were taken to hospitals, he said.
Seven nearby buildings and three buses were damaged in the explosion, he added.
Another police official said the fire service was working with the police bomb disposal unit and counter terrorism unit to investigate the origin of the blast.
Witnesses said it was a scene of destruction with glass shards and broken concrete on streets. Two passenger buses were heavily damaged outside the building where the explosion took place, witnesses said.
"A fireball went over my head. Everything became dark and smoky with the sound. Pieces of glass started to shower from above. If I didn't use this (a folder bag) as a cover, I would've been under the glass pieces. Allah saved me from them," said Omar Sani, who was at the scene during the explosion.
"Then the buses crashed into one another, and one got crumbled. One man got out from that damage. He was in very bad condition. We brought the other injured here. We found four people including one kid at one place ... the kid died from the impact. I brought the kid to hospital," he said.
Police in Bangladesh say a gas leak may have caused a major explosion in a busy neighborhood in Dhaka late Sunday, killing at least seven people and injuring scores more.
The blast at around 7:30 p.m. caused the partial collapse of a three-story commercial building where the earth-shattering kaboom happened, and shattered the windows of neighboring buildings and damaged buses passing by.
Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed said methane gas might have caused the blast.
"When gas cylinders are not properly maintained, they can turn into explosives," he said after visiting the scene of the earth-shattering kaboom. "We will work with the Fire Service to find out the reason behind this incident."
No conclusion can be drawn before a full probe is complete, Benazir said, adding however that the blast scene did not look like a bombing.

[TYLERPAPER] A South Texas woman was arrested by the Texas Attorney General’s Office Wednesday on 26 counts of violating state election laws.
Monica Rene Mendez, 36, of Port Lavaca, was charged with three counts of illegal voting, seven counts of unlawful voter assistance, eight counts of returning marked ballots without consent and eight counts of election fraud, according to jail records.
Further details, including the jurisdiction, timing or specific nature of the alleged violations, as well as the number of ballots potentially affected, remained unclear Thursday.
As of Thursday morning, Mendez remained in jug at the Victoria County jail, where she is being held on $1,000 bond.
Chief Deputy Will Franklin of the Victoria County Sheriff’s Office referred questions about the charges to the Texas Attorney General’s Office, which did not immediately respond to an interview request Thursday morning.
Victoria County Elections Administrator Margetta Hill said she was not aware of any violations that had occurred locally during this past November’s election or the May 1 elections this year. Local officials and the Attorney General’s office would typically communicate in the event of any election integrity issues, Hill said.
"They would notify me, and I would notify them if I was having a problem also," Hill said.
[EpochTimes] Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton said over the weekend that his office still has more than 500 election fraud cases that need to be heard in court.
The attorney general made the announcement after a woman was arrested by the state Election Fraud Unit late last week for multiple counts of election fraud, according to a statement from his office.
"We will prosecute voter fraud every time we find it," Paxton, a Republican, wrote on Twitter over the weekend in reference to the case. "Currently, our office has over 500 cases waiting to be heard in court."
While Paxton didn’t provide any more information about the cases, he said that "voter fraud is real" and that "Texans deserve to know their vote is legally and securely counted."
According to the release from his office, which provided scant details about the case, Monica Mendez was arrested and booked into the Victoria County Jail on June 23. It came after a grand jury returned an indictment on seven counts of illegal voting, eight counts of unlawfully assisting a voter, eight counts of unlawful possession of ballots, and eight counts of election fraud.
Her case, however, wasn’t related to the 2020 election, the release said, but to a 2018 local election. The Texas secretary of state referred Mendez to the attorney general’s office.
Referring to the Mendez case, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ... governor of Texas. Abbott is a Republican. His 2014 Dem opponent, state senatrix Wendy Davis, thought the absolute, most pressing, most important issue facing the state was abortion. Abbott beat the pantyhose off her. His 2018 opponent, Lupe Valdez didn't dwell too heavily on abortion, but she lost too... suggested that his office would continue to pursue laws that are designed to bolster security around elections. The governor several days ago announced a special session of the state legislature to pass a number of measures relating to voter fraud laws, critical race theory, and how the state handles bail bonds.

Trump would still be President if he had selected Paxton instead of Barr as US AG back when people were suggesting he pick Paxton. Paxton rejected Dominion Systems for Texas voting.

Since these fraud allegations are from 2018 and in Texas where the investigation was either expedited or by the book, it shows how long it takes to get a fraud case done.
Any fraud from 2020 will take quite a while to fully investigate.

[REGNUM] In Ethiopia, units of the Tigray Popular Liberation Front (NPLF) took control of the administrative center of Tigray state, the city of Mekele, Reuters news agency reported on June 28, citing Reda Getachev, a member of the NPLT executive committee .
According to some reports, the local administration has already left the city. It is reported that Ethiopian troops are retreating east to the Afar region. The prisoners were released from the prisons of Mekele, the UN office was ransacked.
There is no official confirmation of this information.
As reported by IA REGNUM , in the Ethiopian state of Tigray since December 2020, an anti-terrorist operation has been carried out to neutralize certain rebel structures.
Last year, the Ethiopian army confidently defeated the armed forces of Tigray, occupied the capital and major cities of the rebellious region.
The remnants of the armed forces of the NFOT went to the partisans, who received support from the territory of neighboring countries.
The following months were marked by massive atrocities and killings on both sides, but the central government was unable to achieve serious progress in suppressing the partisan movement. All this took place against the backdrop of a complete humanitarian catastrophe, with a huge number of refugees and starving people.
Over the past two months, Tigray's forces have been under serious pressure and the government could not do anything about it, and domestic support for this war in Ethiopia has plummeted.
Recently, events began to accelerate, as a result of which the troops of Tigray again captured its capital Mekelle, and the interim government of the region appointed from the center fled along with the military.
On the last day, the military loaded money from banks into a transport vehicle to Addis Ababa and burned documents. Prisons were also abandoned, as a result of which both political and criminals fled. The units of the NFOT entered the city without encountering resistance.
After that, Ethiopia declared an "indefinite unilateral truce", which fixes the actual victory of the Tigray separatists and the defeat of the central government. In the capital of Tigray, celebrations were held to mark the victory over Ethiopia. Nevertheless, the forces of the Ethiopian and Eritrean armies still remain on the territory of Tigray, and clashes continue in some areas.

[AMERICANTHINKER] Violent crimes are soaring in places like New York City. The left has called for defunding the police, and as leftist politicians bow down to them, police are retiring in droves. What does the queen of the far left have to say now that the news is getting out?
All that far-left socialist Rep. Alexandria Boom Boom Ocasio-Cortez Dem Congressgirl from da Bronx in Noo Yawk and leader of the Mean Girl Caucus in Congress. One of the Great Minds of the 21st Century, she is known as much for her innaleck as for her dance moves. She is all in favor of socialism, even though she's fuzzy on the details. She was the inventor of the Green New Deal, though she doesn't talk about it much anymore... can offer is: Don't be hysterical.
According to Fox News:
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D, N.Y., has expressed concern that recent headlines referring to spikes in crime across U.S. cities are stirring up "hysteria."
"We are seeing these headlines about percentage increases," Ocasio-Cortez said during a conversation with New York Rep. Jamaal Bowman over Zoom. "Now, I want to say that any amount of harm is unacceptable and too much, but I also want to make sure that this hysteria, you know, that this doesn’t drive a hysteria and that we look at these numbers in context so that we can make responsible decisions about what to allocate in that context."
Which is really pretty ... Marie-Antoinette, actually, given the $2 billion she voted in favor of for her level of her own personal security in Congress, as Fox noted, later down in the report.
And even more amusingly, it's projecting, given her own record of hysteria.

What is this I hear about her and her buds, locking down the White house ?

[NPASYRIA] On Monday evening, a military base of the US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS in the al-Omar oil field in the countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, was hit with mortar shells, while the Coalition’s drones bombed the headquarters of pro-Iranian groups on the western bank of the Euphrates River.
"US Forces in Syria were attacked by multiple rockets," OIR front man, Col. Wayne Marotto tweeted.
"There are no injuries and damage is being assessed. We will provide updates when we have more information," he added.
The matter started with two mortar shells falling near the al-Omar oil field, so that the Coalition forces bombed points of the pro-Iranian groups in the town of al-Qoriya and the countryside of al-Mayadin, 25 km east of Deir ez-Zor, on the western bank of the Euphrates River, through drones, a military source close to the SDF in the area told North Press.
"After that, the groups launched two other shells, one of which fell near the Coalition’s base in the al-Omar field," the source added.
Meanwhile, ...back at the desert island, Bert climbed the cocoanut tree, looking for ships. He saw none. He looked in the other direction and saw Irene, vigorously scrubbing her backside... the SDF Special Units targeted positions of the pro-Iranian groups on the western bank of the river with automatic weapons, according to the same source.
Eyewitnesses from the city of al-Mayadin told North Press that members of pro-Iranian groups withdrew from their points towards the cities amidst a great mobilization among the pro-Iranian groups and members of the Syrian government forces in the area.

[ToloNews] Government figures show that 8,000 families were displaced in Baghlan in the last three weeks, leaving many of them stranded on the streets of the northern city of Pul-e-Khumri while others live in close quarters with dozens in a single home.
In one instance, 17 families are living in one home, said TOLOnews news hound Sharif Amiri.
There are many houses on the outskirts of Pul-e-Khumri — in Band-e-Do area for instance — that have been destroyed in the fight between the government forces and the Taliban ...Arabic for students... Many homes that have been evacuated are looked after by at least one member of each family.
Saifuddin, a resident of Pul-e-Khumri, said he looks after their home and has sent other family members to a safer place, but he added that his home has been severely damaged in the festivities.
"My 1,350 dollars and 280,000 afghanis were burned. I came here to get the bag... but it was burned," Saifuddin said. His two-story building, made of concrete in a common fashion favored by many Afghans, has been damaged and many parts of his house have been damaged, including assets within the building.
The displaced people have been seen everywhere in the central parts of Pul-e-Khumri city for the last three weeks. They are searching for safer places to live.
"The festivities erupted. We left. We could not take anything with us," said Mohammad Akbar, a displaced person.
"Unfortunately, 8,000 families have been displaced. We helped 1,500 families," said Sharifullah Shafaq, the head of the Refugees and Repatriation Directorate in Baghlan.
In another home that has 7 rooms, Anwar Shah, a displaced person, said he lives there with 17 families who have left their homes in other parts of the province due to ongoing conflicts.
"Our homes were left under Taliban mortars and bullets. Our assets were left there. We only have blankets," Anwar Shah said.
Eight districts in Baghlan have fallen to the Taliban in the fighting over the last three weeks. Security forces have retaken two of the districts: Doshi and Khinjan.

The holy man in India wanted to get married a third time, but his second wife sliced off his penis as he slept after he ignored her pleas to refrain from getting hitched again, according to a report.
Maulvi Vakil Ahmad, 57, a holy man in the city of Muzaffarnagar in the state of Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly attacked by his wife Hazra, who used a kitchen knife to chop off his manhood on Thursday in Shikarpur village, India Today reported.
The wife told Sherlocks that she carried out the grisly attack while her hubby was asleep, according to the news outlet.
The woman then tried to perform his last rites with the help of her relatives, but a neighbor became suspicious and alerted police. After being questioned, Hazra confessed to the crime, the outlet reported.
In India, the act of a woman choppping off a partner’s penis has been dubbed "Bobbitise" after the infamous 1993 case of Lorena Bobbitt, who hacked off her husband John Wayne Bobbitt’s member as he slept and threw it out her car window, the Sun reported.
Bobbitt’s penis was so well reattached, he was able to launch a successful porn career.

N Kor. became somewhat irrelevant once the Don was gone. Now they're pandering to the world stage and demonstrating what fools the leadership is in N Kor.
[LIBYAREVIEW] Saif al-Islam Qadaffy, son of the late Libyan leader Muammer Qadaffy, has not been seen in public since he was released from house arrest in 2017. But now he is allegedly considering a race for the presidency, in the war-torn North African country, where the United Nations ...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly... and several countries are pressing for elections in December, according to a report published by the voanews.com
The prospect of Saif coming to the polls is troubling Western diplomats and international democracy advisers, who say Libya’s turbulent grinding of the peace processor is big enough to get away without the involvement of Qadaffy’s son, a highly polarizing figure.
"What I’ve heard is that it’s more vindictive than reconciliation," says Mary Fitzgerald, a researcher and associate fellow at King’s College London’s International Center for the Study of Radicalization. Fitzgerald, a former Irish Times newspaper news hound covered the 2011 Libyan civil war that ended the rule of Muammer Qadaffy.
Saif, wanted by the International Criminal Court (ICC) on war-crime charges, is allegedly negotiating through intermediaries with the Western media. The middlemen say a major US newspaper has conducted a formal interview with them, which is to be published next month.
"It is still unclear whether he is actually putting himself out there as a candidate. I will believe it only when I actually hear him or see him make the pitch in the video," Claudia Gazzini of the International Crisis Group, a Brussels-based think tank, told VOA.
Hafed al-Ghawel, a Libyan-American and senior fellow at the Foreign Policy Institute of the Paul H. Neitz School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University, says he doesn’t think Saif has made up his mind. "But if he does, I think he’ll have significant support," he said.
Observers say Saif’s candidacy will prove popular in the country’s south, and among Qadaffy’s former loyalists — and he may be able to persuade many ordinary Libyans, tired of a decade of conflict, that he is the best bet for a stable future, observers say.

Prior to the Arab Spring, with his father's approval Saif was involved in a series of negotiations with Libyan Islamist elements, many of whom were resident in Egypt. He was then considered the heir apparent and the sentient answer to Libya's political problems. Today, he would be the Islamists formidable foe (if he is still alive).
[NYPOST] No mayor is an island. Gotham’s next leader — likely Eric Adams — must deal with a brand-new City Council in pursuing recovery, with most incumbents term-limited out of office. Lawmakers will have a say in everything from hiring more cops to which livability laws the city enforces. Will the new council help — or hurt?
The good news: Last week’s Democratic primary wasn’t a far-left triumph. Trying (still) to capitalize on the AOC win three years ago, the Democratic Socialists of America endorsed six candidates. Only two — public defender Tiffany Cabán of Jackson Heights and Alexa Avilés of Sunset Park — are leading.
These are hardly flipped seats; there is no red wave changing New York politics.
In several neighborhoods, voters chose not a radically different future, but the past: The Upper West Side renominated Gale Brewer, who held the same seat before becoming borough president eight years ago.
East New York will likely re-re-elect Charles Barron, the career speechifyer who vacated the seat for his wife, Inez, in 2013. In both cases, the ideology stays the same.
Corey Johnson’s likely successor in Hell’s Kitchen and Chelsea is Erik Bottcher . . . a longtime Corey Johnson aide. Julie Menin of the Upper East Side is slightly to the right of the incumbent, Ben Kallos.
Maybe voters had too many choices, whether for mayor or comptroller, forcing them to seek out the name they already knew further down the ballot. Or maybe it’s by design: The voters just didn’t give the council much direction.

[IsraelTimes] Pro-Iranian militias fire several shells at a US base in eastern Syria’s al-Omar oil field on Monday night, causing damage but no casualties, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says.
The development comes after the US launched Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s the previous night against three targets it said were used by pro-Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... groups in eastern Syria and western Iraq.
In retaliation for the shelling, "heavy artillery has been fired by the (US-led) international coalition" on the town of al-Mayadeen, controlled by Iranian militias, says the observatory, a UK-based pro-Syrian opposition organization of uncertain funding which has had its credibility questioned in the past.
Syrian state news agency SANA meanwhile says that "missiles... targeted a military base of the US occupation forces in the al-Omar oil field," without citing who was responsible.
[MIAMI.CBSLOCAL] Amidst the tragedy of the Surfside condo collapse, there’s a story of remarkable strength and determination.
Angela Gonzalez and her 16-year-old daughter, Devon, fell from the ninth floor to the fifth floor.
Despite a breaking her pelvis, Angela found the strength to not only pull herself from the rubble, but also her child.
Both were taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital for treatment.
“Wasn’t something that I thought I would come down to this, I guess. But pick up the pieces, trying to figure out how to make this work, how to make this better than what it is,” said Lisa Melencial, a family friend who was among those gathered at JMH. “Even though it’s a tragic scenario. I just want prayers and just the best for her and her family.”
Edgar Gonzalez, Angela’s husband and Devon’s dad, is among the 99 people who are unaccounted for.
“Hope for the best. Everybody just give prayers. Everybody else’s families or any colleagues or friends that were in the incidents, I wish you prayers, thoughts… And I hope everybody gets well,” Melencial said.
Now loved ones are just hoping for another miracle.

STRANGE THO:
The Google Street View (2019) of the building i looked up a few days ago does not match the video picture of the CONDO collapse I have been seeing?
[BIZPACREVIEW] Dr. Julianne Malveaux, who is poised to become the first-ever dean of Ethnic Studies at Cal State University in Los Angeles, is learning that her words can indeed come back to haunt her.During a 1994 appearance on PBS, Malveaux expressed her disdain for Supreme Court ...the political football known as The Highest Court in the Land, home of penumbrae and emanations... Justice Clarence Thomas by publicly wishing for his death.
"I hope his wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter, and he dies early, like many black men do, of heart disease," she said at the time.
It took Malveaux nearly 20 years to walk back her death-by-breakfast comments aimed at the now 73-year-old conservative black justice, and take into account the damaging results from such flippant and irresponsible comments.
In the wake of the Gabrielle Giffords shooting, in 2011, Malveaux, who was president of Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, North Carolina, penned a blog post about the power of hate speech and used the forum to address her own actions, and express regret for the reckless comments aimed at Thomas.
"It has taken me nearly two decades and an attempted liquidation to understand the damage that my wisecrack might have caused, not to Justice Thomas, but to the public discourse. I hope it won’t take our nation two more decades to understand and embrace the notion of speech civility, even for, no, especially for, political opponents," Malveaux said in 2011. "Every day, and in every way, I tell my students, faculty, and staff that I value civility. Yet, my comment about Clarence Thomas was not only uncivil, it was ugly and unnecessary. And it really wasn’t that funny. I regret it. I apologize for it. I wish I could take it back." She could have just ignored it. The entire country regards her as a soulless hate puddle wrapped in a skin. They just hadn't associated the words with a face after all that time.
